- 0:08Speaker 1: Scan Advice Shooters Bice.
- 0:12Speaker 2: It's time nice.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Hello, welcome to the Nordy of the Nice Show.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I'm your host, drop Shooter and it's Monday, which means
- 0:19Speaker 2: our dear friend Garrett Vogel joins us. Hey, Garrett, are
- 0:23Speaker 2: you there?
- 0:24Speaker 1: Happy happy birthday. It's Rod's birthday. Over the weekend, he
- 0:28Speaker 1: turned thirty two.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Hey, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you had
- 0:32Speaker 2: a lovely birthday. It was my birthday yesterday. Thank you
- 0:35Speaker 2: for all the notes everybody reaching out. Hey, I have
- 0:37Speaker 2: a question about this. Yesterday I took a day off,
- 0:40Speaker 2: so I did nothing but have a brilliant, brilliant day.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I did see your messages this morning. Is it rude
- 0:47Speaker 2: to get back with a thank you the day afterwards?
- 0:50Speaker 3: Or is that okay?
- 0:51Speaker 4: Ah?
- 0:51Speaker 1: Well, you know, a day aftern not bad like if
- 0:54Speaker 1: it goes unignored, that's one thing. But knowing you and
- 0:58Speaker 1: the celebrity that you want are, you know, it might
- 1:02Speaker 1: be a little tough. You know, do you expect Taylor
- 1:05Speaker 1: Swift to get back to every you know, happy birthday?
- 1:07Speaker 1: She gets known, you know, but you know, maybe maybe
- 1:10Speaker 1: a little heart here or there into hearts.
- 1:12Speaker 2: The day is full. I saw all your lovely, lovely wishes.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you, thank you. Hey, let's jump into
- 1:18Speaker 2: the show. What time is it?
- 1:20Speaker 3: My friends? Two time?
- 1:22Speaker 2: Big story. At the top of the show, Harry and
- 1:24Speaker 2: Meghan are devastated that they got snubbed by the Emmys
- 1:28Speaker 2: and did their run of bad looks. We've done this story,
- 1:30Speaker 2: We've spoke about their bad look. They believe that everything
- 1:34Speaker 2: that happened with the queen passing with COVID, it was
- 1:38Speaker 2: just a bad time to launch a new business, their
- 1:41Speaker 2: business being the Sussex Is So they stepped out of
- 1:44Speaker 2: the royal family. They launched this new business. They really
- 1:46Speaker 2: want to earn their own money, and I think that's
- 1:48Speaker 2: something we can all admire.
- 1:50Speaker 3: They don't want to live off their family money.
- 1:51Speaker 2: So they launched all these big events, podcast businesses, TV shows, Netflix.
- 1:57Speaker 2: None of them really did that well, So they're blaming
- 1:59Speaker 2: you all on bad Look. However, now they're a little
- 2:03Speaker 2: bit concerned that their Netflix series, which they poured their
- 2:07Speaker 2: heart and soul into Who I'm Told, didn't get a
- 2:11Speaker 2: nomination for the MS. Now, remember the people that nominate
- 2:14Speaker 2: you for the MS are Hollywood insiders. This is the
- 2:18Speaker 2: community that they really want to be part of this
- 2:21Speaker 2: is their peers. This is where they want their future
- 2:23Speaker 2: to be. I can understand why they're a little bit miffed.
- 2:27Speaker 4: You know what, I feel like they are.
- 2:29Speaker 1: They are like that friend that always is in a
- 2:32Speaker 1: relationship and breaks up every two weeks. But it's not them,
- 2:35Speaker 1: it's not your friend. It's always the other person, you
- 2:38Speaker 1: know what I mean. That's what I see with the
- 2:39Speaker 1: with Harry and Meghan. It's always it's not us we
- 2:43Speaker 1: are perfect, it's everybody else that is the problem around here,
- 2:48Speaker 1: right Like, That's what it feels like.
- 2:49Speaker 2: To take some responsibility at some point. I liked their
- 2:53Speaker 2: Netflix series. It was a little bit boring, dare I say?
- 2:55Speaker 2: It was like about six or seven episodes long episodes,
- 2:59Speaker 2: not in enough gossip in there for my liking, and
- 3:02Speaker 2: a lot of victim huts. They played the victim a
- 3:05Speaker 2: little bit strong in this documentary. Now, arguably they have
- 3:09Speaker 2: been the victim. They have made mistakes. But I did
- 3:12Speaker 2: think it was beautifully produced. Garrett, somebody that's worked on
- 3:15Speaker 2: TV a long time, yourself, It looked beautiful. It was
- 3:18Speaker 2: well produced. The quality was great.
- 3:21Speaker 1: But again, it's like you can't judge the book by
- 3:23Speaker 1: its cover. Though you know, the cover looked beautiful, magnificent.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I would buy it off the stand like this in
- 3:29Speaker 1: a snap of a second. But then once you open
- 3:31Speaker 1: the book and start reading the book, you're like, ugh,
- 3:34Speaker 1: they spent all the money on the cover, like they
- 3:36Speaker 1: didn't put anything into it. But you know what, Rob,
- 3:39Speaker 1: I was wondering, how do they get out of this?
- 3:41Speaker 1: Let's just say you, being the pr expert that you
- 3:44Speaker 1: were in a previous life, how do you get Megan
- 3:47Speaker 1: and Harry out of this too? I guess, onto the
- 3:50Speaker 1: other side of being the good guy in this story.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Say with them, if you've got to stop speaking about
- 3:57Speaker 2: the Royal family, if you want out of the Royal family,
- 3:59Speaker 2: you've got to stop talking about and you've got to
- 4:01Speaker 2: turn the page.
- 4:02Speaker 3: But then the.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Problem is, what are we going to talk about? What
- 4:05Speaker 2: is your future? What do you want your future to be?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Who do you want to be remembered for? What do
- 4:12Speaker 2: you want to be remembered for? And if they can
- 4:14Speaker 2: answer those sort of questions, I'd ask them, in four words,
- 4:17Speaker 2: who are you?
- 4:17Speaker 3: Who are you?
- 4:18Speaker 2: Megan and Harry and Royal cannot be one of those words?
- 4:21Speaker 2: And also to I think I would tell them and
- 4:23Speaker 2: It's a tough conversation to have, and celebrities do not
- 4:26Speaker 2: often listen to this. You've got to stop being the victim.
- 4:29Speaker 2: And I think i'd say that to my friends, even
- 4:31Speaker 2: my friends who have had horrible things happen to them.
- 4:34Speaker 2: They can't wear that as a badge of honor. That
- 4:36Speaker 2: cannot become their identity. The worst day of your life
- 4:40Speaker 2: cannot be your entire future. And thought about that, But
- 4:44Speaker 2: I think the hard thing here is what do they want?
- 4:47Speaker 2: Do they want to be Hollywood celebrities? Do they want
- 4:50Speaker 2: to be involved in charities? Do they want to be famous?
- 4:53Speaker 2: And I think that's difficult too, because I think the
- 4:55Speaker 2: answer is yes to all of those, and they don't
- 4:58Speaker 2: all necessarily go hand in hand. So the future for
- 5:00Speaker 2: Harry and Meghan it's going to be interesting. They have
- 5:03Speaker 2: some money, so don't worry about them. His books sold
- 5:05Speaker 2: really well, ten million from his mom, Princess Diana, So
- 5:09Speaker 2: it's the sort of money, Garrett, that you and me
- 5:11Speaker 2: could retire on. The difference is they are used to
- 5:14Speaker 2: living in a palace, or at least he is, and
- 5:16Speaker 2: so it costs a lot of money to keep up
- 5:18Speaker 2: the lifestyle he wants. I also get this. This might
- 5:21Speaker 2: be a little bit of a head explosion here. Please
- 5:25Speaker 2: reuniting with the family, I think about making peace. I
- 5:28Speaker 2: don't not saying go back, but I think families that
- 5:32Speaker 2: are at war, even when there's a right reason to
- 5:36Speaker 2: be angry, you gotta find peace with your family somehow.
- 5:40Speaker 1: You know what I live by, and I tell my
- 5:42Speaker 1: friends this too, especially when like you were just talking
- 5:44Speaker 1: about the ones that feel like you know they're the victim. Everyone,
- 5:48Speaker 1: everyone out there, and even all the naughties listening. Everyone
- 5:51Speaker 1: loves a comeback story. Yes, you know what I mean.
- 5:54Speaker 1: So even if they they make it, even if the
- 5:57Speaker 1: Royals make it look like they're groveling back, long as
- 6:00Speaker 1: Meghan and Harry seem like, hey, we're connecting with the
- 6:02Speaker 1: family again. We're back together, We're stronger than ever. We're
- 6:06Speaker 1: not going to be a part of it, but we
- 6:07Speaker 1: still love our families. Still think that would be a.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Good step, absolutely, my friend, which brings us to our
- 6:11Speaker 2: whole question of the day. Megan and Harry are devastated
- 6:15Speaker 2: that they were snubbed by the Emmys amid this quote
- 6:19Speaker 2: bad luck. Are you over, Harry and Meghan? Are you
- 6:22Speaker 2: just sick of them. Is everybody just over them? They're
- 6:25Speaker 2: so overexposed? Is this just a backlash that we're all
- 6:29Speaker 2: just like, go away for a little bit. Hey, go
- 6:31Speaker 2: vote on our Twitter page at naughty Nice Web, but
- 6:34Speaker 2: facebook page is naughty Gossom. I'm be sure to check
- 6:38Speaker 2: back some more road to hear your results. Hey Gary,
- 6:42Speaker 2: what are you working on?
- 6:44Speaker 4: Well?
- 6:44Speaker 1: Andy Cohen, we all know him and love him, the
- 6:46Speaker 1: king of Bravo. He was actually filling in for Kelly
- 6:49Speaker 1: Ripper the other day on Kelly and Mark and Are
- 6:52Speaker 1: revealed that Kelly and Mark's son, Michael, is actually working
- 6:55Speaker 1: for Bravo. Now I would assume more in the producer
- 6:59Speaker 1: role behind the scenes. He's not like he's not on
- 7:01Speaker 1: any of the shows. But Andy was filling in for
- 7:04Speaker 1: Kelly and sitting alongside Mark, which you really don't see.
- 7:07Speaker 1: It's normally like when when Kelly is out, they'll put
- 7:10Speaker 1: another female in the seat, you know, and like when
- 7:13Speaker 1: Mark is it. When Mark is out, they'll put another
- 7:15Speaker 1: male in the seat. So it was interesting to see
- 7:17Speaker 1: a two men sitting there as changing it up a
- 7:21Speaker 1: little bit. But they were talking about the fact that
- 7:24Speaker 1: Michael has been the whole family, the whole rip book
- 7:27Speaker 1: and Swellow's family huge fans of Bravo.
- 7:29Speaker 4: They started watching Real House.
- 7:31Speaker 1: As Miami and then and and then we learned that
- 7:35Speaker 1: Michael is working on them. And it's crazy because they're
- 7:40Speaker 1: trying to, like, you know, get info out of Michael
- 7:42Speaker 1: their son, Kelly and Mark and like, hey, who's your
- 7:44Speaker 1: favorite And he's very biased in the sense of like, nope,
- 7:47Speaker 1: he's just working on the show that's called a professional
- 7:49Speaker 1: professional that is very professional. But also we're learning that
- 7:53Speaker 1: Michael is working on Summerhouse and he loves it. So
- 7:57Speaker 1: I mean, I think we also have an inside source here.
- 8:00Speaker 4: This is a goods. Yeah.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Now this is rubbed a few people the wrong way
- 8:05Speaker 2: because I get story later on about nepo babies. Have
- 8:07Speaker 2: you heard that term nepotism? Babies kids, kids who.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Are getting extraordinary privilege because of who their parents are.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Now, is it fair that somebody like Michael, who lives in,
- 8:17Speaker 2: let's be honest, a fifty million dollar town, has that
- 8:21Speaker 2: his mom and dad own? Is it fair that he's
- 8:24Speaker 2: going to get to work on brav get work experience
- 8:27Speaker 2: and probably we could argue the top reality company in
- 8:30Speaker 2: the world like this is going to set him up
- 8:32Speaker 2: for a career in TV, particularly reality TV that me
- 8:35Speaker 2: and you just couldn't pay to get this experience. It's
- 8:38Speaker 2: the university of reality TV. And he got it because
- 8:41Speaker 2: his mom is best friends with Andy Cohen. So I
- 8:44Speaker 2: understand Andy, like you've got this, Garrett. We have interns
- 8:47Speaker 2: that work for us. They're often friends of a friend.
- 8:49Speaker 2: There's always a connection. I try to make sure majority
- 8:53Speaker 2: of the interns are at Nordy gossip at Nordy, but
- 8:56Speaker 2: nice are people that applied, and I genuinely try to
- 9:00Speaker 2: pick people to give this great opportunity to that are
- 9:04Speaker 2: not there because I know their parents. It's not a favor.
- 9:07Speaker 2: That isn't the case.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Now.
- 9:08Speaker 2: The other problem I have with this too is that
- 9:10Speaker 2: does Michael now rule the rooster Bravo? Like, who's gonna
- 9:13Speaker 2: tell him off? Even though he's low down on the.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Level Andy will Andy will speak of it. It's like
- 9:18Speaker 1: it's like uncle Andy at this point, you know what
- 9:20Speaker 1: I mean?
- 9:20Speaker 2: Like, I'm not gonna tell Michael if he drops a
- 9:23Speaker 2: camera or if he misses something because he gets me
- 9:26Speaker 2: the wrong cup of coffee. I think in turns sometimes
- 9:28Speaker 2: do that.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Mine don't.
- 9:29Speaker 2: But if you if you mess up and uncle, Andy's uncle,
- 9:33Speaker 2: and they're gonna be very careful around him.
- 9:36Speaker 3: I don't know if I like it.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Well, you know, like you're saying in the Neppo baby
- 9:41Speaker 1: terms of things. Yes, it is a term that has
- 9:44Speaker 1: come out over the last two years. But at the
- 9:46Speaker 1: end of the day, the one thing that that people
- 9:48Speaker 1: are complaining about it is unfortunately that's the way the
- 9:51Speaker 1: world works. Okay, it really is about who you know. Yes,
- 9:54Speaker 1: it is about talent, it is about relationships. But at
- 9:57Speaker 1: the end of the day, if you if you have
- 9:59Speaker 1: one up on someone else, you're going to use it.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Why what you know, with the exception of you know,
- 10:04Speaker 1: Bill Gates and all those billionaires of the world, they're
- 10:07Speaker 1: not leaving their children any money. Kelly and Mark are
- 10:09Speaker 1: doing the right thing. They're putting there. They're setting their
- 10:11Speaker 1: son up for success no matter what.
- 10:13Speaker 3: They're going to give them the best ones.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Now, the other side of looking at this too, is
- 10:17Speaker 2: that Michael's got a job. He's got such rich parents
- 10:20Speaker 2: that he doesn't have to work. Kelly and Michael said
- 10:23Speaker 2: he does. They're not giving him money. And remember when Lola,
- 10:26Speaker 2: their daughter, wanted them to pay her rent and they
- 10:28Speaker 2: said no, so she had to work. So I think
- 10:31Speaker 2: there's a good side of this too. There's a downside to.
- 10:34Speaker 3: It too, What do you think? Okay?
- 10:36Speaker 2: Moving along, George Clooney has spoken out about the SAG strike,
- 10:39Speaker 2: so all the actors are out on strike. He said
- 10:42Speaker 2: this is an inflection point in our industry. So, issuing
- 10:46Speaker 2: a statement, the two time our SKOL winner said, actors
- 10:49Speaker 2: and writers in large numbers have lost their ability to
- 10:52Speaker 2: make their living. It's an inflection point in our industry.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Let's break this down a little bit. Rich people like
- 10:58Speaker 2: George Clooney talking about actors and money is the right message,
- 11:03Speaker 2: but for me, the wrong messenger, because the one hundred
- 11:05Speaker 2: and sixty thousand people that are members of SAgs, the majority,
- 11:09Speaker 2: ninety nine percent of them are really working actors who
- 11:13Speaker 2: you'll never know, who will never live next door to
- 11:16Speaker 2: Harry and Meghan, who will never have millions of dollars.
- 11:19Speaker 2: In fact, a lot of actors even struggle to play
- 11:22Speaker 2: their pay their healthcare. I have a friend, Matt McGrory
- 11:25Speaker 2: who was on Oranges the New Black Member when that
- 11:28Speaker 2: became the breakout streaming show. He was my trainer. We
- 11:32Speaker 2: went to the same gym. He rolled me around on
- 11:34Speaker 2: a ball in the gym. He's the nicest guy. He
- 11:37Speaker 2: was an actor, but he went to auditions in the bar.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Be honest.
- 11:40Speaker 1: The visual if you rolling around on the ball is funny.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Well, I had a cigarette, of course, and a Martine.
- 11:45Speaker 2: But he's a nice, nice guy. During Orange is the
- 11:49Speaker 2: New Black, which is arguably the first hit streaming show,
- 11:52Speaker 2: streaming had just started Netflix, this was the first major,
- 11:56Speaker 2: major hit, he couldn't give up his day job because
- 11:59Speaker 2: he earned more at the gym than he did on
- 12:01Speaker 2: a hit show on Netflix last year. They get residual,
- 12:05Speaker 2: so every year after the show airs, you get a residual.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Sarah Jessica Parker gets millions from Sex and the City.
- 12:14Speaker 2: The cast of Friends get tens of millions. Matt made
- 12:17Speaker 2: twenty seven dollars.
- 12:18Speaker 3: So there's something about the streaming business and that's what
- 12:22Speaker 3: the argument is here.
- 12:23Speaker 2: You're going to hear two different sides of this story,
- 12:25Speaker 2: and there's probably ten different sides, But what the actors
- 12:28Speaker 2: are saying that really resonates for me is the business model.
- 12:32Speaker 2: The contract that they signed no longer works because the
- 12:35Speaker 2: entire business has changed and now streaming is out and
- 12:39Speaker 2: they're not making any money from that and they just
- 12:41Speaker 2: can't afford to be actors anymore.
- 12:43Speaker 4: It's sort of heartbreaking and it's interesting too.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I saw two interviews, one with Josh Gadd, the you know,
- 12:49Speaker 1: the Broadway actor and who he played all off in Frozen.
- 12:52Speaker 1: He was saying he was saying that back in two
- 12:55Speaker 1: thousand and eight, they didn't understand streaming, the streaming contract.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I mean, so they're like, okay, we'll play along, no problem.
- 13:02Speaker 1: And look where we are now, where the actors are
- 13:05Speaker 1: probably going to be out until January, you know, the
- 13:08Speaker 1: new year. And on top of that, they said that
- 13:10Speaker 1: if we don't speak up now, in another ten years,
- 13:14Speaker 1: we will have the same argument about artificial intelligence. So
- 13:18Speaker 1: it's twofold. It's the fact that streaming contracts people have
- 13:23Speaker 1: to get paid. I get that, and the fact that
- 13:25Speaker 1: they don't want their image and likeness and their voice
- 13:27Speaker 1: to be used by computers, and they they they're all
- 13:29Speaker 1: of a sudden out of work because someone could use
- 13:32Speaker 1: track points.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I hope everybody gets together here. There's enough money I
- 13:36Speaker 2: believe for everybody.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Just be fair. Okay, before we get a break talking
- 13:40Speaker 3: about money.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Kevin Kungsner is very concerned about what his ex wife
- 13:43Speaker 2: might be trying to take from the house.
- 13:47Speaker 1: So Kevin Costner's according to a new legal document, claims
- 13:50Speaker 1: that there is an emergency and the couple's divorced because
- 13:53Speaker 1: of his ex wife. She is taking items from the
- 13:56Speaker 1: family's beach house. Now is the beach house the house
- 14:00Speaker 1: said they're fighting. They were fighting over the originally this
- 14:03Speaker 1: is another house the rich people problems while he is
- 14:06Speaker 1: on vacation with their kids. Kind of a sneaky move,
- 14:09Speaker 1: but so all all the cook wear, so Christy Castner
- 14:16Speaker 1: is living, leaving Kevin Costner with nothing to cook. He's
- 14:20Speaker 1: going to be ordering Uber eats for the rest of
- 14:22Speaker 1: his life. I guess he'll have nothing to cook with
- 14:25Speaker 1: heav It would be funny if she just left like
- 14:28Speaker 1: one plate.
- 14:29Speaker 2: You know, you think she's stealing the priceless arts, rolls, Royces,
- 14:32Speaker 2: the fabulous furniture. No, we're talking about pots and pans.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Home deeper, my friend, go down there, get yourself some pots,
- 14:41Speaker 2: get yourself some pans. It's getting petty. This always happens
- 14:43Speaker 2: in every divorce. It doesn't matter if you're worth fifty
- 14:46Speaker 2: million dollars, one hundred million dollars or no million dollars me.
- 14:50Speaker 2: When divorces happen, you get really petty. You don't have
- 14:54Speaker 2: to fighting over pots and pans. Kevin, if you're listening,
- 14:57Speaker 2: allow all alone.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Not a good luck.
- 15:00Speaker 2: We're going to take a quick break and we will
- 15:01Speaker 2: be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice
- 15:05Speaker 2: rob dear friend, Garrett, Hey, Garrett, let's get to the pole.
- 15:09Speaker 2: You we go, Lascher. We talked about a new picture
- 15:12Speaker 2: of Kim Kardashian and Tom Brady spotted together at a party.
- 15:16Speaker 2: We made it clear they are not together. In fact,
- 15:18Speaker 2: my sources are telling me Tom is trying.
- 15:20Speaker 3: To avoid her.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Kim is traveling around trying to get Tom's attention.
- 15:25Speaker 3: He's not that into her. Will these two end up together?
- 15:29Speaker 3: Let's have a look.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Oh, only twenty percent said yes, I agree, they're not
- 15:33Speaker 2: going to be a couple. One.
- 15:34Speaker 4: By the way, they're twenty percent.
- 15:35Speaker 1: All the Kardashians, they voted, all of them, voted even
- 15:40Speaker 1: down to North, voted to everyone.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Everyone.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Don't forget to vote on today's poll. Going to have
- 15:45Speaker 2: Twitter page at naughty nice Rabbi you over Harry and
- 15:48Speaker 2: Megan or Facebook naughty got sip and be sure to
- 15:51Speaker 2: check back tomorrow to hear your results and now very naughty,
- 15:56Speaker 2: nicest the day. But I love that he's being this honest.
- 16:00Speaker 4: And I and I love it.
- 16:01Speaker 1: It's all my story. So let's turn to Joe Jonas
- 16:04Speaker 1: of the Jonas Brothers. This was big over the weekend.
- 16:07Speaker 1: You might have seen it on your timeline. So he
- 16:08Speaker 1: went to therapy for reasons that you might not think. Apparently,
- 16:13Speaker 1: he was on stage performing and he pooped his pants.
- 16:18Speaker 4: We'll keep it like that.
- 16:20Speaker 1: He thought it was it was just going to be
- 16:22Speaker 1: a little toot and we've all been there before. But
- 16:25Speaker 1: unfortunately it was not just a little toot. So he
- 16:28Speaker 1: had he had a change during the set. I don't
- 16:31Speaker 1: know if it was during one of his his own song,
- 16:34Speaker 1: his own shows, or Jonas Brothers show, but he had
- 16:37Speaker 1: a change. And he says that if no one really noticed,
- 16:41Speaker 1: but certain fans, if they were close enough and paying
- 16:44Speaker 1: attention like certain fans are, they would have noticed. There
- 16:47Speaker 1: was something a little bit different about his white pants
- 16:50Speaker 1: that he was wearing. So he says his brothers didn't
- 16:54Speaker 1: know about it, but obviously they do now. He got
- 16:56Speaker 1: to think after the story came out, Kevin and Nick
- 17:00Speaker 1: are in the group text with Joe going, hey, so
- 17:03Speaker 1: when did this happen? You know, but you know, kudos
- 17:07Speaker 1: to him for speaking out and saying, you know what, Hey,
- 17:08Speaker 1: it happens all the time.
- 17:09Speaker 3: It happened.
- 17:11Speaker 1: You know, it does happen. Not all the time, but
- 17:13Speaker 1: it does happen from time to time to anybody out there,
- 17:15Speaker 1: So even people like Joe Jonas. So credit to Joe
- 17:19Speaker 1: for speaking out.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Even Joe Jonas needs to go to the bathroom. It's
- 17:23Speaker 2: good to remember that when you're get intimidated by celebrities
- 17:25Speaker 2: or people, they have to go to the bathroom to
- 17:29Speaker 2: even King Charles there think about that.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Oh, what a terrible thing to say.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Okay, let's end with uh naughty us the day naughty
- 17:37Speaker 2: Ben Platt cut off an interview because he was asked
- 17:41Speaker 2: about being a NEPO baby, So pitch perfect Ben Platt
- 17:44Speaker 2: d Evan Hanson. He did an interview with Rolling Stone
- 17:48Speaker 2: about his new movie, and they asked him about a
- 17:50Speaker 2: past cover of New York magazine that had him on
- 17:52Speaker 2: the cover as a NEPO baby, and he responded, We're
- 17:57Speaker 2: going to skip right over that if we can. And
- 18:01Speaker 2: after that the publicists confirmed that they just want to
- 18:04Speaker 2: stick to questions about the movie theater Camp, which was
- 18:09Speaker 2: what he was promoting, and then suddenly the interview ended.
- 18:12Speaker 2: It was meant to be forty five minutes, but it
- 18:14Speaker 2: ended pretty fast. What's surprising to me is that Ben
- 18:17Speaker 2: has had months to come up with a response to this.
- 18:20Speaker 2: When your dad is as powerful in Hollywood as Ben,
- 18:22Speaker 2: he's a.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Mass his dad, by the way, wicked La.
- 18:26Speaker 2: La Land, he's a superstar producer. When that's your dad,
- 18:30Speaker 2: and the term Nepobay's baby enters into and into culture,
- 18:35Speaker 2: you know at some point you're going to be asked
- 18:38Speaker 2: about it, And that was the best answer he could
- 18:40Speaker 2: come up with. I think he should have melt into it,
- 18:42Speaker 2: leant into it. I think really said yeah, it's true.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that, but he but also, like all
- 18:48Speaker 1: the he could have easily said, the projects that I
- 18:50Speaker 1: was a part of really have nothing to do with
- 18:53Speaker 1: my dad, you know.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I think it was Jamie Lee Curtis who said, yes,
- 18:58Speaker 2: it's I had advantages, It's true, but I also worked
- 19:01Speaker 2: very hard.
- 19:01Speaker 4: I think, really.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Good answer saying that, Yeah, it wasn't a even beginning.
- 19:07Speaker 2: We didn't all start with the same cards. I had
- 19:10Speaker 2: a few aces up my sleeve. I'm very lucky, I'm
- 19:12Speaker 2: very privileged. I'm really grateful for that, but I still
- 19:15Speaker 2: had to work really hard.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Ben, if you're.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Listening and naughtyous of the day, Okay, let's end with
- 19:19Speaker 2: the moment of Robbie get a raba. Instead of asking
- 19:23Speaker 2: what would Jesus do when you are frightened? Ask what
- 19:26Speaker 2: would I do if I wasn't afraid, if I wasn't
- 19:28Speaker 2: scared right now? What would I do? And there, my friend,
- 19:32Speaker 2: is the answer. That is it for today. Thank you
