- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:13issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:14Hypnotherapist, Demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:18royalty Adam Cox. These recordings took place live
- 0:22from Evans Clinic in London's world famous Harley Street.
- 0:29So get yourself comfortable and enjoy today's episode of The
- 0:33Hypnotist. Do you feel like your identity
- 0:41really wants you to be slimmer? Or maybe stronger?
- 0:44Or fitter or leaner. But sometimes you.
- 0:49Sabotage that. And by the.
- 0:51Way the clue. Of sabotaging.
- 0:53What isn't in? Agreement with what?
- 0:55Your core identity. Is is going to be.
- 0:57Things like regret. And shame.
- 0:59And guilt. And frustration.
- 1:01Adam here. And you're about to listen to a
- 1:03hypnosis session that was helping a client that had been
- 1:08slim and lean and strong in the past but felt disconnected with
- 1:12that. And it was mainly through
- 1:14processed foods particularly. Refined carbs, Sugary foods.
- 1:18But they had a goal within about a year's.
- 1:20Time to climb. One of the mountains in the
- 1:23Himalayas close to. Everest and that version of.
- 1:27Them wanted to be lean and strong.
- 1:29Because. It's not ideal.
- 1:31With less oxygen. In the air to be carrying excess
- 1:34weight, even excess muscle isn't useful if you're going to be
- 1:39climbing because you need to utilize every bit of oxygen that
- 1:42you had. So this has elements of
- 1:44regression. To the.
- 1:45Times they felt lean and healthy and slim and strong.
- 1:49And then future. Pacing to feel what it would.
- 1:51Feel like to be. Absolutely.
- 1:53Clear on what kind of body shape they would.
- 1:56Want and then. Harness the standards and ways
- 2:00of thinking about certain food to make it a winnable goal to
- 2:05get to that place, using intuition and emotions to let
- 2:09them know if they're on the right path or not.
- 2:11There's lots. Of metaphor in this, but I think
- 2:13if you are frustrated. At the lack of progress you're
- 2:17making losing weight. You might get some value from
- 2:19this, but just be aware that you probably don't have the goal to
- 2:22climb a mountain, in which case some of the suggestions won't.
- 2:25Quite fit and maybe some of the. Metaphors don't quite resonate.
- 2:29So if you do like the idea. Of losing weight and using.
- 2:32Hypnosis to lose weight. Maybe I can help.
- 2:35Because weight loss is one of the things that I've done.
- 2:38For more clients and in fact when I became a.
- 2:40Hypnotherapist, about 12. Years ago.
- 2:42For the first. Two years almost hypnosis to
- 2:46lose weight was the only thing I specialized.
- 2:47I still have a brand called Hypno Slimming for example, so
- 2:50if that's of interest check out the link in the description.
- 2:53For now, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 2:56won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 3:21Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 3:31resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 3:37And as you exhale, just allow any feelings of worry, stress,
- 3:42or tension to feel like it's leaving your body.
- 3:48As you breathe out, that's it. Breathing in for longer, deeper.
- 3:58And as you exhale, just allow that outward breath to carry on
- 4:05until your lungs all the way to your diaphragm are empty.
- 4:17And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you become.
- 4:21And the more relaxed you become, the deeper you breathe.
- 4:27And I want you to imagine. Imagine scanning through old
- 4:35photos and maybe it's on a phone, on a computer or in one
- 4:43of those photo albums. And I want you to go all the way
- 4:49back 12 years ago to a time when you felt lean and slim, brimming
- 4:57with confidence. And when you can see a picture
- 5:05that represents who you were back then, let me know by
- 5:09nodding your head. That's it.
- 5:16And as you stare into the picture, I want you to imagine
- 5:19going back to that time as you currently are seeing that
- 5:23version of you 12 years younger. And I want you to look for
- 5:29clues. The food you were eating back
- 5:33then, the things you would do for exercise or movement back
- 5:40then, things you would say yes to, things you would say no to.
- 5:48I want you to get a sense that that version of you didn't
- 5:55become that weight and that shape by luck.
- 6:02It was as a cause and effect. You became that shape as a
- 6:09reflection of your standards, your choices, your beliefs and
- 6:14priorities. And I want you to imagine seeing
- 6:19you not on a good day where it was easy to exercise and easy to
- 6:26eat well. I want you to see that slimmer,
- 6:32leaner, fitter version of you. And one of your bad days, maybe
- 6:39a social occasion where there was processed food like cake or
- 6:43biscuits or chocolate around and see how that version of you
- 6:50responded in that environment. Did they feel a compulsion?
- 7:03Or maybe that version of you could have eaten in but didn't
- 7:09want to, and if you did, you didn't eat very much.
- 7:16And if you feel that you can identify the distinctions, what
- 7:24was different about you back then, let me know about nodding
- 7:27your head. And then imagine seeing yourself
- 7:37at a time when you would have been on your own in front of a
- 7:40full length mirror. And then step into that version
- 7:46of you and feel how it would feel to be that shape, that
- 7:55weight, that leanness, that slimness.
- 8:00Feel your energy levels, see your muscle definition, want you
- 8:10to get a sense that knowing what you now know, is this a
- 8:15desirable weight? Is this a desirable shape?
- 8:24Or maybe what's desirable is the confidence.
- 8:29Some people define self esteem as the contrast between your
- 8:33current self and your ideal self.
- 8:39And if it's more of the emotional things like confidence
- 8:42and self esteem, feeling good in your own body even more so than
- 8:46the shape, let me know by nodding your head.
- 8:54Or if it's really how you look when you see yourself seeing you
- 9:00lean there on the waist. Seeing more definition in
- 9:05certain muscles just allow this to be planting a seed of an idea
- 9:12deep in your subconscious mind. What you've experienced before,
- 9:19you can experience again. You reap what you sow and just
- 9:29allow your unconscious to start navigating new standards, new
- 9:35ideas to make this shape and weight an option without an
- 9:42obligation. If at any point on getting
- 9:48towards this weight you feel that the new weight and shape
- 9:54makes you feel better than continuing to lose weight, then
- 10:00why not make that your new set point?
- 10:07Reawaken all of those standards, beliefs, ways of thinking that
- 10:12are empowering. Any habits back then that were
- 10:19linked to your weight but no longer empowering for you?
- 10:21Now just set them to the side. Take what's good and disregard
- 10:29anything unuseful. And then imagine stepping back
- 10:35through that picture, That photo, and now looking for a
- 10:40different memory where you were heavier and yet you were
- 10:47stronger, you were still lean, but a slightly different shape.
- 10:53And when you can think of a time like that and you can imagine
- 10:59that memory, you know, by nodding your head, and maybe
- 11:04this was 5 or 6 years ago, just imagine floating into the
- 11:08picture as you currently are observing all the things you did
- 11:14back then. Maybe to get stronger, you were
- 11:18having more protein, maybe to get stronger you were lifting
- 11:23more weights, but you were still lean and fit.
- 11:31So just imagine seeing your relationship with refined
- 11:36carbohydrates and sweet sugary foods and if that version 5 or 6
- 11:45years ago had a different standard to where you are now.
- 11:50Let me know about nodding your head and I want you to come to
- 11:57an intuitive conclusion that if you want.
- 12:03The shape of the. Past then, we need to rekindle
- 12:08the standards of the past. Your body shape is simply a
- 12:16reflection of your behaviour. Your behaviour is a reflection
- 12:20of your standards, and your standards is a reflection of
- 12:24yourself worth and beliefs. So let's raise yourself worth.
- 12:31Step into that version of you feel how you felt back then and
- 12:36dial up feelings of high self belief, confidence in your own
- 12:45body, your own shape, your own choices.
- 12:49Dial up discernment what you would say yes to what you would
- 12:53say no to. More clarity you have, the
- 12:58easier it is to move forward. Imagine finding a full length
- 13:07mirror. Step into that version of you
- 13:09feel how it would feel back then.
- 13:13And I want you to create a hybrid in your mind.
- 13:16All the things you like about this body shape, combined with
- 13:22what you like about that previous body shape, and maybe
- 13:27what your unconscious truly desires is somewhere in between,
- 13:34quite so light, but not quite so strong.
- 13:41And when your unconscious morphs that reflection into the most
- 13:46desirable, feasible body shape that you crave right now, let me
- 13:57know by nodding your head. I want you to imagine taking
- 14:04this image of you and now placing it in your future, maybe
- 14:1110-11 months into your future. I want you to imagine you're in
- 14:17a place on a mountain and you're getting ready.
- 14:24Maybe you've had that early morning shower but not yet
- 14:30breakfast. Before you put on those clothes
- 14:34to hike and walk, imagine there's a full length mirror and
- 14:41imagine now it is yourself in your future seeing.
- 14:48That body shape. Looking back, not your past
- 14:52anymore. Now your future and your
- 14:57unconscious mind knows exactly what it will take to make this
- 15:02body shape inevitable, and your unconscious will communicate to
- 15:10you through your emotions. Maybe as a child you remember
- 15:17that game hotter or colder, where someone would hide
- 15:22something and then they would say you're getting warmer if you
- 15:27were getting closer and you're getting colder if you're further
- 15:30away. From this point onwards your
- 15:35unconscious mind will let you know if you're getting closer to
- 15:40this future body shape. When you feel self pride, when
- 15:45you feel a sense of accomplishment, when you feel
- 15:52better. Turning down some refined
- 15:56processed carbohydrate, then saying yes to it.
- 15:59And that feels good. Those good emotions let you know
- 16:04that you're gravitating towards this future body shape.
- 16:11But if you feel regret, shame, frustration, annoyance, all it
- 16:21means is that that previous behaviour was taking you further
- 16:27away. Just like if you're driving on a
- 16:32motorway and you drift outside your lane, you would intuitively
- 16:39nudge yourself back into your lane.
- 16:44Allow your emotions to be your perceptions.
- 16:49Anything that makes you feel wonderful, proud, and positive
- 16:55means you're driving in the right lane.
- 16:58And those things that relate to regret or shame, guilt or
- 17:03frustration just let you know you're temporarily moving in the
- 17:09wrong direction. And if your unconscious is
- 17:12willing to allow your emotions to be a sat NAV to steer you to
- 17:19exactly the future that you desire, let me know by nodding
- 17:24your head. That's it.
- 17:28Just allow those ripples of changes to take place there in
- 17:35that future. And I want you to feel how
- 17:38wonderful it feels to be proud of this version of you that has
- 17:46earned their place, that is deserving to be there.
- 17:55They say the journey prepares you for the destination.
- 18:00The more disciplined, dedicated and consistent you are between
- 18:04now and then, the more you will enjoy the experience when you
- 18:10get there. Breathing in, breathing out.
- 18:16Just imagine wearing whatever clothing is appropriate to be on
- 18:21that mountain, and then imagine leaving that place, coming out
- 18:26the door. And then imagine seeing this
- 18:33incredible mountain range of the Himalayas, the deep stillness of
- 18:39Nepal, and maybe you can identify a very specific
- 18:46mountain. I want you to imagine seeing the
- 18:54scale, the size, the air of parency, and maybe you can see
- 19:02almost a summit approaching 7 kilometres there up into the
- 19:08sky. White, ancient, quiet air, thin,
- 19:17crisp and pure. Just imagine this is what you've
- 19:23been waiting for to test this body that you've been building,
- 19:29shaping and creating. Because the air on this mountain
- 19:39is the kind of air that a strong, healthy, lean body
- 19:43thrives in. Imagine walking there, where
- 19:48snow is crunching beneath your boots, where the world feels
- 19:53simple here, uncluttered, honest, clean.
- 19:58And I want you to get a sense that this mountain represents
- 20:07the journey that you're on. You will be tested, you will be
- 20:12challenged. And as you step forward, feel
- 20:19the body that you are becoming. Light, fit, steady, the version
- 20:26of you that climbs mountains and respects their body like an
- 20:31athlete respects their gear. And with every slow breath, the
- 20:38noise of old habits fades and you turn your attention inward,
- 20:46toward your heartbeat, toward your intention, toward who you
- 20:53choose to be. You don't have to do something
- 20:58challenging and difficult. You're choosing it because
- 21:03that's who you are at the identity level and who you are.
- 21:09Your core identity. Doesn't even want these refined
- 21:15processed foods. It's just an echo of your past.
- 21:23Food that children eat. Food that people with no
- 21:30discipline, dedication or willpower eat.
- 21:35I want you to feel that. The whole idea of processed
- 21:39foods made in laboratories, injected with chemicals, sold
- 21:47through commercials, presented in packaging with offers and
- 21:53discounts, all feels a bit gross to you.
- 21:59You'd much rather have real food, real meat, real
- 22:05vegetables, real fruits. The processed stuff just feels a
- 22:09bit gross. Just imagine reaching some camp,
- 22:20maybe a tent still in the wind, surrounded by endless snow.
- 22:27Imagine lying down inside, maybe you've got a big coat or a warm
- 22:33sleeping bag. And outside, the gentle rumble
- 22:37of the mountain. It's like a lullaby.
- 22:45And as you rest, your mind goes deeper, like descending through
- 22:51layers of snow into stillness, into clarity, into the place
- 23:00where identity shifts and choices are made without
- 23:05struggle. Because a year from now, you
- 23:11will climb this mountain, and the version of you who does is
- 23:17not interested in sugary processed foods.
- 23:22Not because they're forbidden, but more because they're simply
- 23:28irrelevant beneath them. Too small for someone with goals
- 23:34this big, this identity that's leaner, lighter, more confident.
- 23:43This identity pulls you forward. You don't need to force
- 23:49discipline, just learn more into who you are at your core.
- 23:59And each time you turn down something sugary, processed, and
- 24:03pointless, it feels like a vote for that real identity.
- 24:10A vote for that lean, strong climber.
- 24:16Vote for the leader. A vote for the version of you
- 24:20who stands on stages and feels powerful and proud.
- 24:27And every vote builds momentum. This isn't about one decision
- 24:32once. This is about thousands of
- 24:35decisions day after day, Decisions where old cravings
- 24:41lose their grip. Now you don't fight them, you
- 24:47observe them and you label them accurately.
- 24:54Because a craving isn't hunger, it's withdrawal.
- 25:00It's a residue of a substance you're choosing to let go of.
- 25:07And you can think of these processed foods filled with
- 25:12additives and flavourings and sugar as like the.
- 25:19Cigarettes of food. And just like cigarettes, sugar
- 25:24creates A craving only when it's fed.
- 25:28And each time you feed it, it returns stronger.
- 25:33And each time you ignore it, it weakens and you realize
- 25:40something sharp and empowering. What if cravings are a sign that
- 25:48you're winning? A sign that you're detoxing?
- 25:53A sign that your body is recalibrating?
- 25:59And if you ever slip, if you do have that binge or an echo of
- 26:05old behaviour, So what? You don't need to spiral.
- 26:13There's no all or nothing collapse.
- 26:20You now know the truth. You are never more than four
- 26:25days away from being free again. Three days of alignment leads to
- 26:33a fourth day of clarity. 3 days of clean choices leads to a
- 26:40fourth day of easy choices. Three days of identity over
- 26:46impulse leads to the 4th day where you become that identity
- 26:54and the behaviours flow naturally from it, because on
- 26:58the 4th day your body is fully reset.
- 27:04This wipes the slate clean of historical shame, regrets,
- 27:10because shame and regrets are only fuel for the cycle.
- 27:14This is the cycle you are breaking.
- 27:21From now on, your emotions act like lane markers on a mountain
- 27:26Rd. Pride shows that you're in your
- 27:30lane. Calm confidence tells you that
- 27:34you're aligned, and shame, regret, or frustration are just
- 27:40signals that you drifted. You lost your way from the path
- 27:48temporarily, but no drama, no collapse.
- 27:54Just nudge back, back to the path that leads you to becoming
- 28:03the version of you where you feel most aligned, most
- 28:07congruent, most happy, the real you.
- 28:14When you've taken a trip, a fall, or a stumble on a
- 28:18mountain, that wasn't a reason to quit.
- 28:23It was a reason to get back up. And the next 10-11 months.
- 28:32I like climbing a mountain. If you fall, you get back up
- 28:39again. But one stumble is not a reason
- 28:46to slide all the way back to the beginning.
- 28:53And what if the festive season or any special occasion of
- 28:57celebration that. Time in the.
- 29:02Year that people use as an excuse to lose control.
- 29:08What if that becomes your training ground, your proving
- 29:12ground, your arena? And.
- 29:17It's fine for others to indulge because it's expected, but what
- 29:23if you choose differently because you are different and
- 29:29you're becoming someone even more evolved than you have been
- 29:34in the past? What if this season?
- 29:38Is the perfect. Time for you to establish a new
- 29:42relationship with food, because if you can raise your standards
- 29:48here at any other time of the year, it's easy in comparison.
- 29:57Each good choice adds to your streak like another day on the
- 30:02mountain. One imperfect choice doesn't
- 30:07break the streak. It's just like missing one day
- 30:15of doing something and getting back on track when you remember
- 30:21a slip is just a blip, not a fall, not a failure, and
- 30:27certainly no reason to undo all of the wonderful progress.
- 30:36I want you to imagine observing that future version of you
- 30:41getting to your destination. Maybe it's the?
- 30:45Peak. Maybe it's a particular
- 30:48milestone. Maybe.
- 30:52It's a particular. Time when your body shape or
- 30:58weight is when you want it to be.
- 31:03See that version of you climbing strong, steady, lean, powerful.
- 31:10See yourself with the expression of someone with absolute pride,
- 31:15of someone who chose alignment over impulse, not once or twice,
- 31:20but for months and months. I want you to get a sense that
- 31:25when you're climbing a mountain, the summit is the goal.
- 31:31Your summit is that version of you you saw in the mirror nearly
- 31:37a year from now. That is your summit, and nothing
- 31:42will deter you from that destination.
- 31:48I want you to imagine you're now at the top of that mountain, and
- 31:52as you look down, I want you to see the timeline of your life,
- 31:58all of the choices you made that led you to that place.
- 32:05Sometimes it's easier to figure out what worked when you look
- 32:10backwards rather than forwards. And as you look back on your
- 32:16decisions for nearly a year before you see that you didn't
- 32:20need to be perfect, just consistent.
- 32:30And as you tap into that insight, the strategies, the
- 32:39standards, those habits feel a wonderful feeling.
- 32:49Doesn't it enhance accomplishing this challenge to know that
- 32:54you've also accomplished another challenge?
- 32:59One enhances the other, which then enhances the other.
- 33:06You're not pretending to be someone better.
- 33:10You became someone better. One choice, one day at a time.
- 33:15I want you to get a feeling then you have now unlocked all of the
- 33:25resources necessary to become who you want to become, to raise
- 33:32your standards, and to align with feelings of pride and
- 33:37accomplishment. Whether it's climbing a
- 33:41mountain, eating certain foods, or speaking on a stage, the
- 33:47future version of you is a future where you do more of what
- 33:52you want and less of what you don't and to leave this place.
- 34:01So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 34:07nose. Wiggle your fingers, wiggle your
- 34:11toes, connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now
- 34:19count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 34:23You will awaken feeling empowered, resourceful, a sense
- 34:27of clarity, and reading your emotions to know which path to
- 34:35follow. Starting to count 123.
- 34:38Waking up 456. More alert 7-8.
- 34:43Open your eyes, Open your eyes 910.
