- 1:26this story is the case of the chemical chickens Oh Dutch cleanser Famus purchasing good
- 1:33Presenting Nick Carter Famus purchasing crime every week. In this time two great names
- 1:45are joined as All Dutch Cleanser brings you one of the most respoughtful and daring
- 1:49characters in all detective piction. Nick Carter, Master detectives what's the matter with
- 2:00those eggs WORLDO had for breakfast nakes? They had nitro glitcering in them.
- 2:04Someone put nitro glitcering in the egg, but then how to get in?
- 2:07The chickens had laid these eggs with the explosive in the eggs were laid by
- 2:12chemical chickens, and all the case of the chemical chickens. Today's adventure with
- 2:20Nick Carter brought to you by All Dutch Cleansers. In next office, he
- 2:24and Patsy are busy with the morning report. Uh take this letter, Patsy
- 2:29right Meckmester Jason Griggs Here, sir, and clothes you will find the photograph
- 2:35taken on infrared film proving the will and question poisoned. If you don't hit
- 2:40me, I'm a did night now Walda. Look, we're busy for practically
- 2:44you have hidden past. If you don't find me and have you taken to
- 2:47me, what have you gotten that bowl Higgs poison higgs, and I hate
- 2:53one of them. You're kidding, Waldo, No, no, Nick,
- 2:54some criminals have poisoned these higgs. I was heaven for the breakfast there after
- 2:59me. They've been poison me. Smell of them here, all right,
- 3:07George, sit down, Waldo? Is it too late? Nick? Oh,
- 3:10you're not dying if that's what you mean. I make a chemical analysis
- 3:15to be sure. You may have stumbled out or something. Waldo, find
- 3:30anything? Nick? Not sure yet? Get your pad? This is the
- 3:37last will and testament. You're a Waldo allowishousmid Lin who departs this world pollardly
- 3:43murdered by his enemies. Quiet, you haven't been poisoned? Then? Watching
- 3:47them eggs Nitro glycer, the explosive. I had dynamite for me breakfast in
- 3:53minute quantities. Yes, someone put Nigel glizzerin in the egg. No,
- 3:55the chickens that laid these eggs put it in. Nick, Are you joking?
- 4:00I'm not. These eggs are laid by chemical chickens, and nitro isn't
- 4:02the thing that chickens can pick up anywhere. Gotta look into this. What
- 4:08do you think is going on? Nick? I can't tell you, but
- 4:10here's what we'll do. We all go to the store where Wildo's Landay bought
- 4:13these eggs. We'll each buy as many as we can carry and bring them
- 4:15back here in Teston. Who knows, maybe we'll find crooks in our omelet.
- 4:31Yeah, this is the place, Nick belief, he's grossy. Now,
- 4:34those eggs are large brown eggs. Go in separately in order, five
- 4:38doesn't each. I'll go first, with Waldo next, Patsy last, Right,
- 4:42okay, right, alright, I'm going in now follow me after a
- 4:45few minutes, Brotto, Okay, buy how many dozen eggs you here for?
- 4:53Five? About five? Five dozen eggs in a bucket dozen? Here's
- 4:57your dough five bucks. Hey, what's this for? It's the payoff.
- 5:00But I'm shelling out for the bum eggs I saw this morning. I beg
- 5:03your pardon, sir. I'm Janet Steel, pure food inspector for the Health
- 5:05Department. You'd like to register a complaint about the eggs sold by this man?
- 5:10Lady, I'm handling this customer five bucks bill? What mornia? No,
- 5:14No, you don't understand. I didn't buy any eggs this morning.
- 5:15I want to buy five dozen now, ha ha. I'm laughing this time
- 5:19already confiscated every egg in a joey good one. It folks, it just
- 5:24rupt in to punches a little hint, fruit, No eggs in the store
- 5:27will be sold, right, mister, no eggs, no eggs? You
- 5:31got boxes? Something back to you. I condemned every one of them,
- 5:33Fox says, if we'd have to try some other place, my friend,
- 5:35Yeah, but we're white. Sure we get you with these years, Say
- 5:39Nick, what I couldn't buy any eggs. Let's get away from the store
- 5:42window. I want to go around, take a looking back of the store.
- 5:46What this is all about? Me? Looks like the phony set up?
- 5:47As he Oh, I'm sure the man in there isn't Bleaker, I
- 5:50said, I miss my guess, he said, crooked posing as Biaker.
- 5:53What makes you think you would first place the way he talked? Second place?
- 5:56For the money he offered me. Oh, I got a quick look,
- 5:58but that five dollar billy off me. Look, poner, is this
- 6:00a countered in case? Of course, I'll explain it in a few minutes.
- 6:03Right now, I want to see what's happened to the real Bleaker.
- 6:08Let's see, regular said back La. Right's behind the store and here's the
- 6:13cellar entrance to the store. Think you better duck down for the cellar.
- 6:15Knock around, get that door up water right, Nick, that'sy. Take
- 6:18a look at the garage, just to play saved right away. This is
- 6:21a heavy door. Nick, right up, give your hand, yes,
- 6:25come here quick found in the garage. Holy smash it man, I'll tied
- 6:31up in gag be bleaker, He'll we get these works off ward shot,
- 6:34take off the gag. God, I don't think he's breathing. Maybe he's
- 6:39did No no, I still thank Heaven, Nick, quicker Wader, try
- 6:44artificial respiration. One chance in a thousand, we can save him, all
- 6:46right, Nick, that'sten patsy spot. Yeah, call him for an ambulance
- 6:50and full motor at once to give this man a chance. But when an
- 6:54ambulance arrives, the crook inside the store is gonna catch on. You've gotta
- 6:57help me. Take off your head, comb your hair and bangs, make
- 7:00your face up heavily with funny of lipstick. These guys myself are tough.
- 7:02In other words, right, that thug in there hasn't seen you yet,
- 7:06so you can get away with it. Go into the store and get him
- 7:09out of there, get him up by hook or cook and stay with him.
- 7:12Oh trust me, Nick, I'll do it if I have to sing
- 7:14towards song. Now, look, Nick, I'm pretty sore about this.
- 7:28What's the idea letting that mug in the grocery store get away? I didn't
- 7:30let him marry Patsy took him away. You realize that we can't bring Bleaker
- 7:34two. It's a murder raft more than just a murder rap. Matty are
- 7:38they doing with the pomotor? Nick? What's all this about poisoned eggs?
- 7:43Very simple? Chickens are funny birds. What they eat goes into the eggs.
- 7:46They lay lisense. If a chicken eats mothballs, it takes smell of
- 7:49camphor. No kidding back. Somewhere in the country, there are some chickens
- 7:54that have been drinking water polluted with nitroglycerin. What's that the eggs world had
- 7:58for breakfast? A tracers have nitroglycerin in them, so might have been an
- 8:01accident. When I found an obvious thug posing as a grocer aund the store
- 8:05where the eggs are bought, I knew it was something else Somewhere. Maddie
- 8:09up in the farming country. There's a crooked plant manufacturing supplies for criminals,
- 8:13boot like nitro glitcering for blasting safes, coniferent money, probably everything that a
- 8:16crook can't buy legitimately holy smoked. And these polluted eggs are the giveaway to
- 8:20the play. Right, some of the night room must have seeped out accidentally
- 8:24and polluted the water and a brook or something that runs through a chicken farm
- 8:26nearby. Well, I'll be done. That's why I had to hold on
- 8:28of that pug without tipping my hand. He's got to lead us to that
- 8:31place. What the pomotor stopping format it? Why the job is done?
- 8:35Nick? Hi? That man was practically dead when we found him. But
- 8:37he's alive. Now you saved all the good good world. Can I question
- 8:41him? Oh? Not down for two or three days? The duck says
- 8:43he is going to be tough enough, just keeping him alay two or three
- 8:46dick. By that time, this whole nob maybe a thousand miles away.
- 8:50That's all up to Patsy. Now all we can do is go back to
- 8:52the office and wait for her to check in. Hey, Eddie, yeah,
- 9:09close that door, will you? I can't hear myself saying you're funny,
- 9:13babe. Okay, when you invite a lady eat in a private dining
- 9:20room, she likes to be private. I never knew, old man blink
- 9:24I had a good looking daughter like you. What a break for me?
- 9:26You coming into the store looking for him? Come your mind in the store
- 9:31for him. He didn't say he was going nowhere. He got a rush
- 9:35call. Had to see somebody about some garage business. H it's gonna be
- 9:39plenty. So when he hears I closed up the place to go eat lunch
- 9:41with his knockout door eddie. Ain't that way ever gonna bring you some food.
- 9:48I'll go call him. I'll get that punk moving. Okay, babe,
- 9:56important garage business. That's a good one. Thank you already. Brave.
- 10:03Hello, Tyler Janet, I thought you the girl you brough it.
- 10:07No, she's outside phoning Tyler Bible, get your ten. She's calling a
- 10:13guy named Nick Carter. Yeah, Tyler, Nick Carter, a man who
- 10:16came into Bleak a steward to buy eggs this morning when I was posing as
- 10:20a health inspector. And that pretty face you're making up who belongs to Patsy
- 10:24Bowen Carter's secretary. I know it all the time, Janet, you're a
- 10:28liar. Oh, don't worry about it, brabe, I'll take care of
- 10:31it for me. You won't. You're quitting the gang, Tyler, You're
- 10:35too dangerous to keep around. So long, Tyler Eddie. Tyler spawls over
- 10:48the table, two bullets in his heart as Janet Steeles slips out of the
- 10:52private dining room. With Tyler dead, Nick's only lead in the case ends.
- 10:56We learn what he does next in just a moment, and all back
- 11:05to the case of the Chemical Chicken in today's adventure with Nick Carter, brought
- 11:09you by all Dutch cleanser. As we pick up our story, Nick Carter
- 11:13and Waldo have pulled up to the cafe and answer to Patsy's urgent telephone call.
- 11:18Nay, nay, Yes, what is it? Nick? Make it's
- 11:24too late. I've lost Tayler for good. He got away when you were
- 11:28phoning me. No, someone killed him? Or where is he? Enough
- 11:31from the bathroom, scrawled over the table. I went back and there he
- 11:35was. All right, Patsy, this is a tough break that will manage.
- 11:37You got the can't wait? Come on me, right that must be
- 11:50the room, dear Nick. Right, come on, if you're back to
- 11:56the door, no one comes in, right, boy? Chance might have
- 12:03something his pockets noah, no wallet, no papers, nothing. Then there
- 12:16was technique. Not quite. There's one chance, his pockets and his pants
- 12:20cuffs. What do you rip in his pockets out for me? Can?
- 12:24You'll find out later? Now this is what we do. You telephone many,
- 12:30tell him about this murder and join me at the lamb. Okay,
- 12:33that's He goes to Bleeker store to check the crates the tainted eggs were delivered
- 12:37in. Those crates are usually stenciled with the address of the farm that delivered
- 12:41them. Yeah, but if hats he can find that address, it may
- 12:43tell us where Eddie Tyler came from. Oh she can't. We'll have to
- 12:48depend on his pockets and the cuffs of his pants. All right, hold
- 13:01that pocket, steady world, Yeah, yeah, I want to be sure
- 13:03this vacuum cleaner picks up every particle of dirt and grit that's in us.
- 13:07This was clean? No, Nick, all right, give me the cup
- 13:11of the pants clean them out too. Look I don't get it, Nick,
- 13:16all the steady m all right, that's clean. Yeah, the other
- 13:20one. Okay, that's careful, that's sin all right, Opheny. Yeah.
- 13:31Oh, we open the pacuum cleaner and we have one porcelain trapped filled
- 13:39with a sordid dust dust, and this dust is going under the microscope right
- 13:43now. I want to tell us where Ddy Tyler's been during the past few
- 13:46weeks. How the devil can dust do that? Nick? Use your head,
- 13:50world, Yeah, put this dust in the air everywhere. That's not
- 13:52all the same kind of dust, on particular kinds of dust and particular localities.
- 13:56And that's what I'm counting on. You found anything yet, Nick,
- 14:09I think so, Patsy. No, it's the law going good and sore
- 14:13too, if you want to know, ky n Eddie talimany. Nick,
- 14:16this is a fine mess. You let Tyler get away so you can break
- 14:18the case and he ends up a corpse. Oh when the commissioner hears about
- 14:22this tomorrow morning, the case will be ended by tomorrow morning. Are you
- 14:26kidding? No? Hoping. I've been checking the dust from Tiler's pockets.
- 14:31Outside of ordinary dust found almost everywhere, I've found smelter dust, flower dust,
- 14:35and particles of dry hay, all in the deepest layers. That means
- 14:37Tyler's been living in a farming vicinity that also has an iron foundry and flour
- 14:41mil somewhere near Give me that industryal map border right neck Carters speaking Tick,
- 14:46Patty, I've just finished searching bleak of stores. Yes, it's no good,
- 14:50Nick, Every egg crate and a place has been destroyed. Not one
- 14:52left anywhere. Yeah. Wait a minute, Yeah, this must be Nick.
- 14:58What on earth are you talking about. I've been checking my industrial map
- 15:00while you were reporting. Passy. Oh, Maddie. There's only one town
- 15:03in any of a s cinnity that's a farming center right at the same time
- 15:05has a flour mill and an iron foundry. That's Brickton. Brickton. That
- 15:07must be the place Tyler came from. I don't understand, Nick. Oh
- 15:11you were pretty soon hurry back to the office, Passey, you world one.
- 15:13I are driving up to Brickton right away. Brick and a half mile.
- 15:28That's what the sign said. I remember, we stay under cover in
- 15:31this town. That's a sheriff in here that hates the very side of me.
- 15:33Hey, did you have a run in with him before, Nick?
- 15:35Yeah, in the Joplin case last year. But it was a run in
- 15:39with her a lady heriff like in Texas a trucker in Texas. Sheriff must
- 15:46stick me is convinced I double crossed here last year. She will do everything
- 15:48she can to that struck me. Now, so we stay under cover.
- 15:50All right. Now, Look, when we get into Brickton, you and
- 15:54Waldo each rent a car. Yeah. I've divided Brickton into three areas.
- 15:56Each one of us covers one of the areas. Here's the town, Nick,
- 16:00How each of us visits every farm in our area and ask the farm
- 16:03owners if they deliver eggs to Bleeker in New York. Yeah, but wait,
- 16:07some of them farmers might not answer. Nick. I'll here are two
- 16:10one hundred dollar bills. You and Patsy each take one. Uh. You
- 16:14meet a close mouth farmer, tell him this hundred dollar bill was found in
- 16:17the cradle of eggs delivered to Bleeker. He can collect if he has records
- 16:19proving deliveries of yesterday. Well, that ought to work. Slow Downick was
- 16:23passing a rent a car garage run by the terrible mass Stickney. All right,
- 16:30go ahead, each of you runt a car and we'll meet back here.
- 16:33Six o'clock to night. Good luck, Will, Will Will. This
- 16:48is fire number three for Detective Waldo mglinn to examine with his Pierce snie Hey
- 16:55Wilson's farm. Maybe we'll have a better luck for this one here. Ah,
- 17:02it's a farmer, it's a farmer. Red time going to be Christian?
- 17:06Very pretty too. In just a minuteary, young lady, how would
- 17:11you like to earn one hundred days? He's the health inspector. Well,
- 17:18I've seen you before, haven't I? And Blaker's grocery this morning? Where,
- 17:21ma'am, you're the famous Waldome mc glenn, aren't you Nick Carter's great
- 17:26assistant. You got the right man, ma'am. But it's a secret.
- 17:30Nobody's supposed to know that me and Nick is up here. Mister McGlenn.
- 17:33I'm certainly glad it's see you. It's about those eggs, the bad eggs.
- 17:37Oh you've pound them then, yes, they're here on this farm.
- 17:41I need your help, mister McGlenn. I'm only a weak woman, and
- 17:45you world over Glynn's the right man for you, ma'am. Where are them
- 17:51bad eggs? There's a building back of this farm up this road a little
- 17:53I'll show you good. Does mister Carter know you're here, No, ma'am,
- 17:57Waldome mc glenn works. Now what's to day out here? Ma'am?
- 18:02You see that house there right along the chicken yard. Yep, there's some
- 18:06men lived there. They rented it from Wilson. They pretend to be scientists
- 18:10doing research, but they know I know they're crooks, ma'am, and making
- 18:12dynamite and burglar tours for more crooks. Well, in some way, the
- 18:17nitro glysser in their making got into the chickens drinking water and tainted the egg
- 18:21I've already deduced that beha. So this morning, when the eggs were delivered
- 18:25to Bleakers Grocery in New York, Bleaker called farmer Wilson on the telephone and
- 18:29complained. And Wilson asked the crooks about it, because he thought they were
- 18:33scientists. He couldn't understand it, huh huh. And the crooks realized that
- 18:37the tainted egg might lead the police up here to their factory. So when
- 18:41they learned that all the eggs in this particular shipment went to Bleakers, they
- 18:45rushed down to the city and tried to cover up by closing Bleaker's mouth and
- 18:48paying off all the customers who came back to the grocery to complain. They
- 18:52even had a woman posed as a house inspector to make it look legitimate.
- 18:56Put them you come into the house, mister McGlenn. Crooks aren't here now,
- 19:00heybod ma'am you you are the health inspector, mister McGlenn. I was
- 19:06alright, Jennet. Who's the character with the world is finach nosey little man
- 19:10works for Nick Cotton tent still McGlenn, and don't reach for that rotter.
- 19:12I'll blow your wide open your goods with him. Shut up, bendall,
- 19:17eh cut is in town. You have to drop everything and take care of
- 19:19him. You'll never harm Nick Carton and Grandpa. Then'll tell the boys to
- 19:23get ready. You can tie up this character. In the meantime. Oh,
- 19:27I forgot to tell you. I have to kill Eddie Towler in town.
- 19:32It turned out to be a newsome. What time is it, bessy
- 19:44six thirty? Nick were in places? Is Walter should have been here at
- 19:48six? Maybe he located the farm. It's probably there now blasting away without
- 19:52forty four of you guns of bigger menace for Walden than the underworld. You
- 20:00well, that's that health inspector from the New York cheffs Diickney. The most
- 20:03amazing thing just happened to me. Oh, I'm sorry. I thought Sheriff
- 20:07Sickney was in this car. You want help, I'll be glad to give
- 20:08it to you. I'm Nick Carter, Not see Nick Carter. Well,
- 20:12I'm Janet Steel, a health inspector from New York. I was up here
- 20:15investigating a ship in a bad egg. What did you say? Just happened
- 20:18to you, miss Steele. It's the strangest thing. I found a car
- 20:22parked out on the road. It's one of the sheriff's Sidney Ranson. And
- 20:25guess what was stuck in the windshields? Half of a hundred yard bill?
- 20:29And what road where? Just outside Wilson's farm. It was near a large
- 20:33white building alongside the chicken yards. Chicken yards. Nick, that's it,
- 20:37Yes, Patsy, come on, let's get out there fast. The heavy
- 20:45roadster surge is forwards. Nick and Patsy drive into what is apparently a cleverly
- 20:48baited trap. We'll see whether or not the jaws of the trap close on
- 20:52them in just a moment and awful the conclusion of the case. So the
- 21:00chemical chickens. In today's Nick Carter Adventure, rob you by all Dutch Flenser
- 21:04get seven o'clock. The night is pitch black. Alongside the white house,
- 21:07behind farmer Wilson's chicken yard, five men and a woman wait tensely, watching
- 21:11the turnpike road. You ought to be along any minute, then you.
- 21:18I took the shortcut. It couldn't be more than five minutes behind me along.
- 21:22This is what we do, Bindle. When he comes Wolfson in looking
- 21:25for Grandpa, we knock him and the girl cold. We take to three
- 21:29of them over to the covered bridge and drive them in the car into the
- 21:30river. Big accident car with Carter. I know that car, Get said,
- 21:38everybody. When I give the word, give them the lights and show
- 21:41them they're covered. Looks like Carter and the girl. All right, Bindle,
- 21:52Now, oh your covered Cotter, you're in the holy what's the meaning
- 21:56of this? Ruckus? What are you doing with them? Runs? That
- 22:00is illegal? In bricks and Tully Thames, Sir, your name's middle,
- 22:03ain't it? Yours is Steel? Well, you're both under arrest. We
- 22:07got you covered. Ma. I'm sorry your numbers up. Don't get excited,
- 22:10boys, I'm gonna have a fatal accident along with Corn and the girl.
- 22:12The only accident I'm going to have it to pull the trigger this time,
- 22:15you guy. Hey, that's Carter card Aware on the roof of your
- 22:17little factory, covering all of you. The first man of turns a light
- 22:19taught me. Gets a head full of sluts your rackets Finnish Jennet, You
- 22:23want to know why I ask your lawyer. You've been seeing a lot of
- 22:27him while you're trying to beat a murder rapp. Carter, I got a
- 22:40hand to you. You're all right for a New York detective. Lay in
- 22:45the whole case in my lap. The way you did was mighty generous,
- 22:48Nick boy, I got to apologize. I failed me mission just when I
- 22:52had this whole mystery sold. I mean one, one little slip. You
- 22:59walked right into a trap with your eyes wide open. You and your forty
- 23:02gore just one thing, Carter, how'd you know that story of Janis was
- 23:07phony when she tried to trap you and miss Bowen, Well, she has
- 23:11taken me three things before I came out here. I checked up and couldn't
- 23:14find any record of an inspector on the Health Department staff named Janet Steele.
- 23:18That was the first thing. Then. I didn't like the idea of a
- 23:19health inspector working up here in Britain. It's not a prony. She wouldn't
- 23:23have any jurisdiction up here. She sure wouldn't have to slipped the jailed.
- 23:26Everything for me was when she claimed to recognize Waldo's car as one of the
- 23:30cars that you rented for a stranger in Brickton. It was obviously impossible for
- 23:34her to know that, so I pretended to fall into the trap. And
- 23:37that's all. Ah, You've done it in great style, Nick bye,
- 23:41when you showed up on that roof with a tummy gun in your hands,
- 23:44us old Simon Carter all over again. None of that fancy deduction stuff,
- 23:49No sirr of bullets and action, Nick kay Kwaldo mcglenn's word for it.
- 23:53You will be a detective Yet, well, Nick, what about the adventure
- 24:07old Dutch cleanser will bring us next week? Before I answer that, Bob,
- 24:10I wish to remind our listeners that National Boys Club Week begins tomorrow and
- 24:15as you know, sponsoring a boy's club on my own. I'm particularly interested
- 24:18in this fine work which is combating juvenile delinquency so effectively. More than a
- 24:22quarter of a million boys find wholesome activity and entertainment in these clubs. Under
- 24:27competent leadership. They receive companionship and recreation and learn to develop skills and ambitions.
- 24:34According to law enforcement authorities, boys clubs lesson delinquency wherever they're established.
- 24:40For these reasons, I personally, as well as the makers of old Dutch
- 24:42cleanser, wish to salute the Boys Clubs of America for their great contribution in
- 24:48building the citizens of tomorrow. And now next week's adventures. Oh, it
- 24:52scares me just to remember that case. If it scarce you, it must
- 24:56be some story. What's it all about? While Barber started with a miss,
- 25:00serious disappearance of a lot of new cars that were never found again,
- 25:02and just about finished when Nick and I ended up in an old, abandoned
- 25:06quarry full of water, but thanks to a new shortwave device we managed to
- 25:10solve the case. I certainly want to hear this story. What do you
- 25:11call it, Nick? I call it the Case of the Lucrative Rex.
- 25:21Nick Carter, master Detective is presented each week at this time and over these
- 25:25same stations by the Cutting Heat Packing Company, makers of Old Dutch cleanser.
- 25:30Remember when you go shopping tomorrow, Yet the cleanser preferred by more women in
- 25:33America than any other Old Dutch cleanser. Nick Carter Master Detective, produced and
- 25:49directed by Jock McGregor, is copyrighted by Street and Smith Publications, Incorporated.
- 25:55Lon Clark is starred as Nick, with Charlotte Manson featured as Pathy. Wall
- 26:00is played by Humphrey Davis, Matty by Ed Latimer Today. Script was written
- 26:03by Alfred Bester. Original music is played by George Wright. This program is
- 26:08fictional and any resemblance to actual persons living or dead is purely coincidental. This
- 26:15is Bob Martin saying, when minutes count, use Old Dutch glintre welcome band
- 26:26a great book history. This is the virtual broadcasting CAGs. Pretty ingenious and
- 26:36a puzzle that couldn't help but engage Nick Harter. I have to my myself
- 26:41that I actually believe the fake chicken or egg inspector for a moment, not
- 26:48when they got up to up State, but when they were at the store.
- 26:52Of course, how Nick was able to realize the truth by utilizing common
- 26:57sense in the rural area makes Waldo actually look bad. Not so much,
- 27:03Nick Carter look like a genius. You figured an a inspector in New York
- 27:08City wouldn't have jurisdiction year that's genius. No, not really, but at
- 27:15any rate, the case is solved. I should mention the two missing episodes
- 27:19that we have between the last week's show and this week's and those were the
- 27:23case of the Smuggled Perfume and the case of the Max Fingers. So those
- 27:30were the lost episodes. And like I said, in the late forties,
- 27:34we tend to actually have more of these than we did during the war years,
- 27:40which is odd for radio programs. And now very quick listener comment and
- 27:45feedback and Paul comments over on the Facebook page. I was listening to the
- 27:52Big Finish podcast yesterday and I do believe I heard them read a letter from
- 27:56Adam Graham and Boise Idaho. It was a case when podcast worlds collide for
- 28:02me. Very funny. Well thanks so much, Paul. That email was
- 28:06actually to me. I've referenced Big Finish on the Great Detectives of Old Time
- 28:11Radio website. The main thing they do in the way of Mysteries is their
- 28:17Sherlock Holmes presentation. They're best known for their Doctor Who radio plays based on
- 28:23the classic TV series. And it was a nice thrill to have the letter
- 28:29read on the air by Nicholas Briggs. And if you heard the letter on
- 28:33there from me, Yeah, it was from me, not another Adam Graham,
- 28:37which is good because it can be problematic if there are too many of
- 28:41us running around. All right, Well, that will do it for today.
- 28:45We'll be back tomorrow with yours truly Johnny Dollar, and then join us
- 28:48back here again next Thursday for another episode of Nick Carter. In the meantime,
