- 0:05And now, the mob guys Craig Coglianese and Wayne Dolcefino,
- 0:32We are the Mob, guys.
- 0:34I am Craig Coglianese.
- 0:35He is the legend.
- 0:37Wayne Dolcefino.
- 0:38I have a...
- 0:39Oh, go ahead.
- 0:40What were you going to say?
- 0:41Oh, today.
- 0:42Hey, I have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
- 0:44I'm going to eat at some point during the show.
- 0:46I'm not doing it now, though.
- 0:47I'm not doing it yet.
- 0:48I'll eat it at some point.
- 0:49Um, and, uh, where's my sandwich?
- 0:53Where's your sandwich?
- 0:54I don't have a sandwich.
- 0:55I don't know.
- 0:56I, you need one.
- 0:57I think you need one.
- 0:59You know what?
- 1:00What?
- 1:01I spoke last night, um, to the Republicans of Southwest Houston.
- 1:08It was over at Bayland community center, which is off Bissonette and Hillcroft.
- 1:12And, um, you don't know the town as well as I do, but I actually moved.
- 1:18It was the first area I lived in when we moved here in the late 60s.
- 1:26My father, you know, in New York, there's like ethnic neighborhoods, right?
- 1:31There are two in some places here, but really not.
- 1:34I mean, New York, you have like the Italians lived in a place with the Jews and the Irish.
- 1:40You had like Puerto Rican neighborhoods, you had, you know, black neighborhoods, you had
- 1:44green neighborhoods, whatever.
- 1:45and so when we were looking to move to Houston my father looked up and there
- 1:53was an Italian grocery store named Sako's okay it was on Bissonette right
- 2:00off hillcraft he might near it that's very smart actually dude my father
- 2:05thought like we were moving into like the little Italy of Houston yeah of
- 2:10course.
- 2:11And of course now it's it's it's
- 2:15that area is extremely different than it was in terms
- 2:19of the ethnicities of the people that live there right is
- 2:22mostly Hispanic over there.
- 2:25But when we move there we got there and my mom and I and my
- 2:29brother will look around first of all we cried the entire way
- 2:33because we were so upset first of all I left my first girlfriend
- 2:37joy rabbinowitz.
- 2:40That was my first girlfriend.
- 2:43And to this day, I wonder what happened to her.
- 2:46Perhaps one morning we could just go look for her.
- 2:50But anyway, I spoke at this thing.
- 2:53First of all, somebody came up to me and said,
- 2:57man, I love the mob guys.
- 2:59Yes, there we go. That's awesome.
- 3:01We do have fans. We have a fan.
- 3:04The mob guys is now a thing.
- 3:06That's awesome.
- 3:07I yeah, and I think we should lean in and offer to
- 3:14assassinate one of our
- 3:16I think just break just break legs, man
- 3:19I think all we're going to do is break legs like sending your names and numbers and we'll pick
- 3:24Some unlucky unlucky person at random. Anyway, we were talking about Republicans and a number of candidates were there
- 3:31One of them is a woman that I've known back for a very long time, not in any personal
- 3:37way, but just I used to deal with her years ago.
- 3:41Not as well as you knew her Benowitz.
- 3:44No, no, Joy, her Benowitz.
- 3:46If she's listening, if she's listening somewhere in the world.
- 3:50Anyway, Jacqueline Lucci Smith was there.
- 3:52She's running against Abbie Kamin for Harris County Attorney, and I like Jacqueline.
- 3:57I had seen her in probably 20 years, but I like her.
- 3:59But you know people need to pay attention to these down ballot races
- 4:05I know there's an awful lot of oxygen spent yes on
- 4:10National races, you know the Paxton race obviously the governor's race, but
- 4:15in Harris County where we live and and man this massive media operation
- 4:23In Harris County, the county attorney, jobs like that, really make a difference.
- 4:31Like Christian Menefue is now in Congress, was a horrific county attorney.
- 4:36He protected all the nonsense.
- 4:39Not my buddy, I'm not his.
- 4:42But and Abbie Kamin, is already pulling a Lesley Briones.
- 4:48I'm going to start calling it the Briones factor.
- 4:50I was I saw I'm in this Bayland Community Center and of course, there's a big picture of of
- 4:58Lesley Briones on the wall. Of course, because you got to put your pictures everywhere apparently and I
- 5:06Was thinking about all the criticism of President Trump for using taxpayer money to promote America
- 5:12And while I didn't think that was a you know, the smartest idea of the world
- 5:17I
- 5:18I look at all the money that our local politicians are now spending.
- 5:24And I use Lesley Briones because I think she's the queen of it.
- 5:28The queen of creating a big operation to do nothing but tell people how great she is.
- 5:38It's really not about just informing people like, hey, at the park this weekend there's
- 5:43a thing.
- 5:43This is what you call self-promotion because I want more power and want to do more things
- 5:49Isn't she the person that's also adding a lot of additional staff members?
- 5:53Oh, yeah, she's the one that we busted for those bonuses that weren't bonuses. That would be illegal
- 5:57So they called it, you know, I'd call it tuna fish and then oh, I'm not about this
- 6:05Dollars in cash put in a tuna fish can
- 6:10I think of all the money that's being spent
- 6:13I killed years ago when I was a channel 13. I actually
- 6:17Worked on a story once about the money being spent to change signs
- 6:24Every time somebody gets voted out of office like, you know this road brought to you by
- 6:31Commissioner
- 6:32Waka Wuba how I'm going how much was it?
- 6:35Well, it wasn't like tons of money. Okay, it's the it's the point right? Why do we do that? We don't need to do that
- 6:41But I just, you know, sure.
- 6:46It was Lee Brown used to be the mayor of Houston long before you were, you know, around.
- 6:52And Lee Brown spent like $400,000 on a big sign at the airport and had his big mug on
- 6:57it.
- 6:58And people went like crazy.
- 7:00Right.
- 7:01See, back then, that kind of money, there's a lot of money.
- 7:04Right.
- 7:05Now we, we like spend money on stuff.
- 7:08Like I don't need to see Lesley Briones every day on social media
- 7:12And if she wants to be on social media, I got an idea go do this go. Hi
- 7:19Let me give you a community update
- 7:21Some fancy media operation. Yeah
- 7:25That's happening everywhere
- 7:27What's also interesting about what you're saying about how people used to care more and get mad about a road sign
- 7:32We don't care about road signs anymore. No matter how much they cost
- 7:35I don't think the people today will get up in arms about those things and they misunderstand
- 7:40The amount of money that you're talking about that gets wasted on that stuff. Oh, yeah
- 7:45I think the toll road, you know, yeah, I always complain about the toll road guy, right?
- 7:50Who's not the brightest bulb in the planet and he also makes like a half a million dollars to run an automated toll road
- 7:56I'm going when did these government stuff yet become it like a like a
- 8:01performance art, I just want you to fix my crap. That's all I want you to do.
- 8:08Nothing more.
- 8:09Protect me and, you know, you have a bond election for flood projects. Do the projects.
- 8:17Yeah.
- 8:18Right? I voted against that. As I told you, you know this, I vote against pretty much
- 8:22every bond. If it was up to me, there would be a complete standstill in all economic development.
- 8:28No, I'm just kidding.
- 8:29But anyway, I spoke to these people and there's some, so Abbie Kamin is the current Harris
- 8:35County attorney, I should say that.
- 8:38And I started seeing her on social media every day talking about all the great liberal things
- 8:42she wants to do.
- 8:43And I'm thinking to myself, this is like, Lesley Briones has created another monster.
- 8:50So many, yes.
- 8:52Yeah, it sounds like there's so many monsters.
- 8:54And honestly, and it's the more simplistic thing that you're saying too.
- 8:58They've been in charge for so long that they've continued to push the boundary
- 9:01Further and further in this these crazy places in Harris County
- 9:06And the last thing we need is for them to think they're gonna go unchecked even more
- 9:10Yeah, look we need to pare down government. Yeah, did you stop unnecessary spending? Yes
- 9:16Now I understand why Lesley Briones does it because the local media is
- 9:24When especially when it comes to politics?
- 9:27is dead. We see the ads, so it sounds like the TV people are still doing ads and
- 9:36and consultants are still convincing people to buy ads on local TV stations
- 9:42that nobody watches that much anymore. And so I think that's part of the reason
- 9:47why everybody, and HISD is a great example, right? They have a complete like
- 9:52news operation because they decided like a lot of other people, Craig, to just like sell
- 10:00your own crap.
- 10:01If the media won't cover, especially the good things you do, if you do any.
- 10:07sell it yourself. And that requires people, that requires a newsroom, that requires
- 10:12basically reporters. So now what you're seeing is propaganda from our local government agencies.
- 10:21I don't know how much money this company will have together.
- 10:23Oh, yeah, it's all paid for.
- 10:24It's like, it's like I'm paying you to tell me good crap that you're doing.
- 10:29And ignore all the bad crap that I actually want to know about that's going on.
- 10:32No, no, they fight to the death to keep you from knowing the bad crap.
- 10:36Right, yeah. Yeah, they silence anybody who goes after it like you. Someone like you who tries to go after gets sued 75,000 times.
- 10:44Yeah, by the way, I know for people that aren't listening and you can watch us, where can you watch us? Everywhere.
- 10:50I had a shirt on, but I got this lobster shirt, octopus lobster, whatever it is, in the mail.
- 10:58In, I guess, early 2000s, I would do the double pop collar, which is what you're doing right now.
- 11:04You can pop both of those collars to double pop.
- 11:07All right, we'll take a break.
- 11:08A lot coming up in a bit.
- 11:09Very important conversation.
- 11:10Very important.
- 11:11Very important way to end it, too, by the way,
- 11:13on the double pop collar on the Voice of Texas KSEV radio.
- 11:16Feel like a headphone's out of fire right now.
- 11:18I gotta do that, too, OK?
- 11:20This is the Voice of Texas.
- 11:22My name is Craig Coglianese.
- 11:24He is Wayne Dolcefino.
- 11:26We are thrilled to be with you.
- 11:27So much stuff out there to talk about in the world.
- 11:30And yet we started because Wayne did a fancy speaking
- 11:33engagement. Did they throw some cash your way? Did you get some money for that kind
- 11:37of thing or not? No, I have never charged for a speech. I'll
- 11:40tell you once I was asked to speak at some Rotary Club in Bay City or something or somewhere
- 11:45far away and they called me before and said, where do you want us to send a check? And
- 11:52I'm not like you. I don't take 20 bucks. You will literally sell yourself. I just do it
- 11:59because I just want to make my city a better place.
- 12:02I actually am actually a caring guy.
- 12:04That's amazing.
- 12:05So I told him, I told him now, I don't take money for speeches, never have.
- 12:11And I said, why don't you just give it to charity?
- 12:14Yeah. So like a couple of weeks later, I started getting letters from like
- 12:17every charity within like 100 miles of the place saying,
- 12:21thank you for the $500 donation.
- 12:24Thank you for the $250.
- 12:25Thank you for the thousand.
- 12:26I'm going, how much were they going to pay me?
- 12:29Yeah, so like you would sell out for 20 bucks, right?
- 12:32Well, I wouldn't start I wouldn't start at 20 the point about the guy who takes 20 is no one would give him 30
- 12:37And you keep going up. Yeah
- 12:41Why you're a greedy slop I do but but I
- 12:46If I'd known it was thousands of dollars, I might have sold that you know, everybody has a price
- 12:52Mm-hmm, right. This is like yours is like a peanut butter sandwich
- 12:56If we get there.
- 12:58You got to go a little higher for me.
- 12:59We don't start, again, for anyone that's thinking about hiring me for anything, we don't start
- 13:03at Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich.
- 13:05We get there.
- 13:06If you won't give me anything else, we lower and lower until we land at Peanut Butter and
- 13:10Jelly Sandwich, which I do have.
- 13:11That's right.
- 13:13And look, we are in a different caste level, as you know.
- 13:17We are.
- 13:19Economically, I hang out with the rich people.
- 13:22Well, can I say something that happened yesterday when I went over to your place?
- 13:25Do you care?
- 13:26Sure.
- 13:26When you, you had to give me like 40 bucks for something that I didn't have.
- 13:31And you could only find hundreds.
- 13:34And I made a joke as you're pulling $100 bills in your wallet.
- 13:37That's never happened to me.
- 13:38I've never in my life only had hundreds in my wallet.
- 13:42So I think that is a demonstration of a little bit of a difference.
- 13:46There is a difference between the models.
- 13:47No, no.
- 13:48You were going like, you were like putting pennies on the table and trying to count
- 13:52to $7.
- 13:53And I said, and you said you have changed.
- 13:57And I said, no, I only have hundreds.
- 13:58And did I, I gave you the hundred.
- 14:01You did.
- 14:01And you're expecting the rest of it back at some point.
- 14:04And then you, well, I'll never see that money.
- 14:07And then you send me a text saying that your wife really enjoyed the tacos I bought.
- 14:14And I'm going, wait a second.
- 14:15Did I say, hey, here's a hundred?
- 14:18Go buy your wife some tacos?
- 14:19You did not.
- 14:21I just I figured when I went to go pay for the tacos and by the way
- 14:25Paying for tacos with $100 is not ideal
- 14:28They don't like that when you give them a hundred bucks for like seven dollars in tacos people people don't like cash anymore
- 14:34I feel bad about is when you go to like to a valet or something
- 14:37And you come out and like they don't have a way to give the guy tip here on the cash
- 14:42Yeah, you know, I like every hundreds. I don't you know, right, you know, I know you apparently yeah
- 14:47I'm a big guy.
- 14:48It's awesome.
- 14:50And then while you were here, I bought a microphone for you because I left this microphone in
- 14:55Austin.
- 14:56So you sold me, you marked it up.
- 15:00I think we should tell the listeners.
- 15:03Well, no, it's the fancy case that you got with it.
- 15:05That was what really cost all the money.
- 15:08It was really just the case.
- 15:10Hey, by the way, and I have to make this the subject of the day, but I just want to mention
- 15:14that I was watching CNN last night,
- 15:16I saw a commentary online that this whole
- 15:19Tala Rico mental health thing was a big giant conspiracy
- 15:23that fell apart because James Tala Rico says so.
- 15:27Well, you know, here's what I think is interesting
- 15:29about that, because we put, I think,
- 15:31one or two clips up on X and got a few
- 15:33pretty liberal comments, which I often delete.
- 15:37The social media people should know that,
- 15:38that are out there trying to troll us.
- 15:40I usually delete them, and the reason I do that
- 15:42Is that if it's a real if it's a real person they'll come back and do it again if it's a robot it'll give up
- 15:47And so anytime you delete the first message from anybody if they don't come back
- 15:52They're probably just a bot and so yeah, I have a really different view of that on my site
- 15:57Go ahead. Don't you fino calm which of course is bigger than yours, but this is KZ radio, but you're still bigger. Yes
- 16:06But
- 16:09I don't like to delete anything
- 16:12Sure.
- 16:13There are, if you look at my site and you look at the comments of my story, there's
- 16:17always the Wayne haters, I call them the Wayne haters, who think I am like the lowest form
- 16:24of Ponds Garden.
- 16:26Sure.
- 16:27And then you get the people that disagree with you.
- 16:32And I actually, I don't mind that.
- 16:35If you want to call me out and say I'm like a hired assassin.
- 16:39Absolutely.
- 16:40The reason I do it, because I can explain,
- 16:42it's for KSEV's radio page, it's not necessarily mine.
- 16:45I don't put a whole lot of stuff out
- 16:46of my social media page right now,
- 16:48is that we're not getting a terribly large amount
- 16:51of interaction from people who support us.
- 16:54And so the robot things can see.
- 16:56You never do.
- 16:56You never do.
- 16:57The robot things can maybe see that they can flood it.
- 17:00Oh, robots.
- 17:01I think there are some of them,
- 17:02because when you delete it and they don't come back,
- 17:04you don't ban them.
- 17:05It's not like I kicked somebody out
- 17:06where they can't comment again.
- 17:07They just give up after one try. That's not very human. But when it go ahead
- 17:12When we do that, I see that it just gets loaded like when I don't beat delete them loaded with negative comments
- 17:19It's like one two ten and then we have seven or eight comments and they're all negative on some posts
- 17:24And you start to think yourself if I leave this and granted there's a difference because it would benefit our traffic
- 17:31If I left the comments the algorithm would see that there's more comments and spread it to more people
- 17:37But we need some people to interact in a positive way,
- 17:40so it at least looks like everyone
- 17:42doesn't hate what we're saying.
- 17:44All right, well you mentioned robots,
- 17:46and we had this conversation yesterday.
- 17:48Yeah, we did.
- 17:49And you were trying to get me to fire some human beings
- 17:52to hire a robot.
- 17:54I was not, actually.
- 17:55And when Carter came by and got kind of like worried
- 17:57about that, I told him that wasn't the plan.
- 17:59But we can publicly say it if you want to.
- 18:03Robots.
- 18:04You can say anything publicly.
- 18:05I don't care.
- 18:06Okay, robots are producing our show right now.
- 18:10Outside of Russell, who is actually hitting the buttons
- 18:12and answering the phones and stuff,
- 18:14I mean like the-
- 18:15And you.
- 18:16And we're doing the show.
- 18:17I mean like the post-production part of producing,
- 18:19they put videos up on social media for us,
- 18:21they edit them.
- 18:22If we want a clip of something
- 18:24and it's got bad words in it, they'll bleep it for us.
- 18:27Robots are working for us every day right now
- 18:29to do some of the stuff that traditionally
- 18:32You'd hire a producer to do after the show
- 18:36We're not doing that the robots are taking over. So I you know, one of my fears about that enough fear
- 18:41I mean, I'm not like sitting home and I know drinking my margaritas. I think oh my gosh, but but I I
- 18:48Do worry a lot about what goes out on my page
- 18:52Yeah, because I get sued a lot and I'm I'm already envisioning
- 18:58I'm already envisioning.
- 19:00You know, I told you I got sued once because a guy said he couldn't have sex anymore.
- 19:04Yes.
- 19:05I remember that one.
- 19:07So I get sued a lot.
- 19:08So I'm trying to figure out how you go into court and they say, why did you say those
- 19:15words?
- 19:17And you were to say-
- 19:18I didn't say it.
- 19:20My robot employee said it.
- 19:23Yeah.
- 19:23Well, so I have a couple of thoughts in reaction to what you said.
- 19:26The first one being you can set up the robots so they can't do anything a final action until you say yes
- 19:34So every day they could come to me and say Craig
- 19:37Do you want me to post this clip of Wayne that we think is funny and I don't want to say yes
- 19:42I just want him to do it
- 19:43So they're just doing it right now and we'll see and then the other the other thought is that you can create
- 19:48Limitations when you tell them what to do you can say don't use these words don't say these things don't post clips like this
- 19:55So you can try to mitigate that.
- 19:58Yeah. First of all, my headphones are getting pulled again. My thing is tangled around my chair.
- 20:06I never brought that sleeve over. I got to get you that sleeve.
- 20:08No, I really have a constant problem every morning with my cheap chair rolling over my headphones.
- 20:17To go back right now during the political season, I think that there are a lot of politicians and a lot of super PACs doing what I'm doing to produce the post stuff for our show.
- 20:28So part of the reason I'm deleting it right now is I assume after November, it's probably
- 20:34not going to be as many robots.
- 20:35And it's just crazy how many there are now.
- 20:38Yeah, the interesting development is that I was going to fire my social media person
- 20:42this morning as a result and just hire a robot for 10 bucks.
- 20:47He just got married, so I thought it was a perfect time to fire him.
- 20:50And I came to work this morning, I was going to do this show and then fire him, and he
- 20:56called and said.
- 20:57Oh, okay. My whole plan now is yeah, really thrown us under so here's the problem for
- 21:03The professionals out there especially the younger ones who might call in sick a little too often
- 21:07The robots will never get sick
- 21:09So if you don't want the robot to take your job, you probably want to be extra careful not to get sick
- 21:15If you can if you can I'm just putting it out there the robots won't go
- 21:19You know the mob is gonna find a way to control AI sure
- 21:23I think I think everybody's trying to control AI right now
- 21:25I think that's the whole data center conversation and all of it, but it is, it's surreal to
- 21:30watch the things that the robots can do.
- 21:33Oh, actually, I think one of the clips we shared yesterday was a James Talarico piece
- 21:37of audio and the robot that makes video clips for us said, hey, you played the audio, but
- 21:43you don't have the video.
- 21:45Can you send me the video?
- 21:46And I sent it and it added it to the clip and put it up on social media because we're
- 21:50playing audio now through Russell so that the robot did the extra work and
- 21:54noticed the problem and I didn't tell it anything. It's like talking to people.
- 22:00If you could scam all day and get a robot to do your work, God bless you man.
- 22:05That's not really my work but yeah I got it. Go ahead.
- 22:07But I just wanted to finish on this Republican local thing.
- 22:10Sure, please.
- 22:11I really implore people to go to the entire ballot. Don't just do the
- 22:19couple of things and say, I don't know who these people are.
- 22:22There are a lot of judges on the ballot.
- 22:25If you want tough on crime judges, you elect Republicans.
- 22:33Amen.
- 22:35And a lot of times people blow past those at the end or they just, they don't pay attention.
- 22:42Please.
- 22:43The judges, the county attorney, of course the county judge.
- 22:48We have Orlando Sanchez who's running as the Republican.
- 22:52I've known Orlando for a very long time.
- 22:54I think he's supposed to be back in the show sometime soon.
- 22:56We have Letitia Plummer who corrupts.
- 23:00I'm not a fan of Letitia Plummer.
- 23:04Legal challenges.
- 23:05She's had all kinds of like drama, right, surrounding her?
- 23:08And you could tell that local TV is dead.
- 23:11I'll tell you one of the reasons you can't.
- 23:12We're in the last couple of weeks of a political campaign
- 23:16where the commissioners have just voted to raise taxes, now 41% in the last three years.
- 23:23The community should be outraged.
- 23:27I don't care if they're Democrats, Republicans, the Green Party, the Pink Pajama Party, the
- 23:34people that are there, don't give a crap about affordability.
- 23:41They've raised your taxes 41%.
- 23:44And if you want a glimpse at what Democrats do, just go to any big city in the country.
- 23:52Go to Harris County.
- 23:54Yeah, exactly.
- 23:55And you'll see it play out.
- 23:56Yeah, and you'll see them be desperate for more of our money and more control because
- 24:00they take ridiculous amounts of our money already in any way that they can and spend
- 24:05all of it.
- 24:05It's the drunken sailors spending that we also see with the federal government.
- 24:08That's the reason we have a deficit as high as we do.
- 24:10All right, we got to take a break.
- 24:12We will come back.
- 24:12The robots will probably do some things for us during the commercial break. I imagine
- 24:17Now that you're gonna have to get my headphone you're gonna have to do that part yourself
- 24:21That's the thing you're gonna have to do yourself quick break a lot more
- 24:24It's the mob guys KSEV radio the voice of Texas KSEV radio
- 24:29As the voice of Texas. My name is Craig Coglianese. He is Wayne dulcefino
- 24:34We are thrilled to be here. Is this um, is this working? Are you working? No, you're not working. Yeah, there you go
- 24:41I'm working, but I just want you to turn on my headphones.
- 24:44Oh, you want me to, I can do that every single,
- 24:46yeah, here we go.
- 24:47Has that better now?
- 24:48I can speak this way, I can actually hear you.
- 24:49Yeah, I'm turning it down during the break
- 24:51so you can hear me over the spots.
- 24:53I think the listeners and viewers should know that you,
- 24:56we had like a three minute commercial, whatever that was,
- 24:58and you waited until about nine seconds
- 25:00before we went on the air when you shoved
- 25:02that peanut butter sandwich in your face.
- 25:05And I'm thinking, that's, you know, radio guys,
- 25:09I remember those radio days, right?
- 25:10You could do all kinds of stuff in a couple of seconds.
- 25:13You could.
- 25:13You can.
- 25:14You can.
- 25:15Well, you can go to the bathroom in under a minute.
- 25:18It doesn't matter where it is if you're radio trained.
- 25:21No, you can go to the bathroom while I'm doing the show right here.
- 25:25I can't.
- 25:26Look at the man.
- 25:27But real quick on this Harris County speech, and I only mentioned it for this, is that
- 25:33I told them what I tell you and all our listeners and viewers when I'm on this show.
- 25:41While I understand the getting out the base thing and using messages about child porn
- 25:49and transgender and men in sports and all this kind of stuff, but I heard a commercial
- 25:59that Susan Collins was doing in Maine.
- 26:02And I understand it's Maine, different place.
- 26:04But it was about taxing Troy Jackson.
- 26:07Like loves taxes.
- 26:09Guy's been around forever, loves raising taxes.
- 26:12Sounds about right.
- 26:13I actually think that if I was trying to communicate,
- 26:19look, this is a base election.
- 26:21You know, this election isn't like everybody voting.
- 26:24Like this is like the partisans, right?
- 26:27And maybe some independents,
- 26:28people that just like to vote, but it's really a base election.
- 26:31But I do like the idea of talking about taxes.
- 26:36If you're worried about affordability, the last thing you should do is elect people who
- 26:45always, always raise your taxes.
- 26:50Now, you're absolutely right about that.
- 26:51You know what's interesting about that too, and we were talking about that during the
- 26:54the difference in some messaging and others,
- 26:57it is out there.
- 26:59Like the thing that I'll say,
- 27:00because sometimes I think you and I land on the assumption
- 27:03that no one's even talking about the more important issues.
- 27:06And there are people that do,
- 27:08they're just not getting traction for doing it.
- 27:10And there's a couple exceptions out there.
- 27:12I thought one interesting one,
- 27:14and we were gonna play the clip,
- 27:15but the clip actually doesn't contain the thoughts
- 27:18that are in the post itself was Chip Roy.
- 27:20Who Chip Roy, I know persona non grata for some people now.
- 27:23his message on television, which obviously is what maybe he thinks sells better, is you don't
- 27:29want to let men play women's sports, all the things we hear. But then in the writing of the post,
- 27:34it says, these taxes over here, this spending over here are the actual problems, and if you
- 27:39put Democrats back in power, it will only get worse. And it made me think of audio from Scott
- 27:44Jennings yesterday that I just sent over to Russell. This is Scott Jennings challenging
- 27:49encouraging Democrats on CNN and telling them the Democratic talking heads on that show,
- 27:55telling them what are the Democrats actually going to do to fix the stuff that they always
- 28:01run on and they always talk about as being the things that they'll make better.
- 28:06How are they going to make my financial life better kind of stuff?
- 28:09It just happens to be that nobody can answer those questions.
- 28:12I think that goes to your point again, as Russell gets the clip ready, because I think
- 28:16I just threw that at him a second ago.
- 28:19But as he gets ready, I'll tell you again, your point is there's a message that's not
- 28:23being delivered well enough to actually, you know, succeed.
- 28:27Because I think it's the thing that actually does reach a lot of the people in the middle.
- 28:31It reaches a lot of young people who just want a better opportunity financially than
- 28:37they're currently getting.
- 28:38They just want to believe that things are going to get a little bit better, not worse.
- 28:41Unfortunately, we don't have a president that can say, I understand your frustration.
- 28:48We've made lots of progress on the border, on this, on that, on stopping fentanyl, blowing
- 28:56up drug traffickers.
- 28:59But prices are stubbornly high in part because if we don't take care of a nuclear threat,
- 29:06are on now.
- 29:07I mean, there's a Wall Street Journal story today talking about how they're fortifying
- 29:11their nuclear sites.
- 29:13Well, if you're making like nuclear fuel for like the gas stations, you don't need to fortify
- 29:19them.
- 29:20Right?
- 29:20They're fortifying their nuclear sites.
- 29:23And you know, forgetting the debate about whether we obliterated them or really messed
- 29:28it up or whatever, these people will threaten us forever if we don't finish it.
- 29:37And there's a third aircraft carrier going over there.
- 29:41The Wall Street Journal article sort of talked about how they're doing it because they think
- 29:46it's coming, right?
- 29:48And I do think it's coming.
- 29:49I think after the election, if Trump's gonna whack him.
- 29:55And I don't think he wants to whack up.
- 29:57Look, I don't really think Trump really likes the whole war thing.
- 30:01I really don't.
- 30:02I think Trump's a peace president, not a war president.
- 30:06And sometimes it's unfair in a presidency when things happen.
- 30:11But a lot of the stuff he's doing will take time and is just beginning to emerge, like
- 30:17the manufacturing jobs number, right?
- 30:20The Atlanta Fed is talking about 5% growth.
- 30:23Sure. There are some really good things happening in the economy.
- 30:27Sure. And people may not feel it yet, but the wave is coming.
- 30:33Cool. I think Russell's ready now.
- 30:35He has the clip and I think this is going to lean into a lot of what Wayne just said.
- 30:38But here's Scott Jennings asking very pointed, very simple questions to the Democratic, you know,
- 30:43talking heads on CNN. What ideas have you actually brought forward that fix these problems
- 30:48that you're saying have been created by the Republicans?
- 30:50Feel free to be disappointed about one thing or the other.
- 30:53What would a Democrat do?
- 30:55What has a Democrat proposed to do in this election that would change your life in any
- 31:00meaningful way?
- 31:01And don't forget, 90% of the cost of living that you're upset with was handed to you by
- 31:05Democrats anyway.
- 31:07Right.
- 31:07And if you look at the USDA data on grocery, they have somewhat tamed food inflation right
- 31:12now.
- 31:13I know a graph is cold comfort to people who are having trouble affording things.
- 31:16But the real debate is what has a Democrat done or proposed to do even on gas prices?
- 31:23Yeah, no, that's great that is exceptional on gas prices on food and anything go ahead and then what excuse did
- 31:31Adlimate nothing there were no answers that she kept saying, you know, I hear that a lot I hear that a lot and
- 31:37We'll figure those things out when we go because it's true. Right? It is true. It is right
- 31:42Well, and this is to your point, this is what you said about President Trump, who I know
- 31:46that both of us in certain ways support.
- 31:48I certainly do and have most of the man multiple times.
- 31:51Oh, yeah.
- 31:51Sure.
- 31:52Yeah, you do too.
- 31:53He isn't capable of going out there and not saying everything's great.
- 31:57It's the way that he approaches all of this.
- 31:59He has a firm belief that projecting that I'm the greatest and everything around me
- 32:05is the greatest benefits him and our party more than the opposite.
- 32:10it. And occasionally, that's not true. And I think this is one of those times where you could say,
- 32:16yeah, that is kind of high. Yeah, that's kind of expensive. Yep, this is bad. Just to make people
- 32:21believe that you actually are continuing to do the work you're already doing. And we're already
- 32:25seeing success as Jenny points out in grocery prices and grocery stores, like it just convinces
- 32:31us that work is actually happening. Instead of that part being the assumed part. It's more focused
- 32:36in the messaging. Yeah and look, the media is not gonna hold the Democrats accountable.
- 32:42Of course not. Even if you say Medicare for All, which because people think money is just
- 32:46flying out of the space, right? Yeah. They really do. Let's just, let's give everybody
- 32:51health insurance. Yeah. Sure. But that's causing a fortune. It does. It does. And then there are
- 33:00programs that they want to help the people on the lowest rungs, right?
- 33:05But the people in the middle, the people that are like actually working all day long, they're
- 33:12not going to get help by Democrats.
- 33:13No, and we find all the time, you find all the time, I think legitimately go find this,
- 33:17how those programs that are supposed to help the lowest level actually have the most fraud
- 33:22and abuse in them.
- 33:23Those are the ones that have the most stealing from the people who are most in need.
- 33:27So the compassionate person who wants your tax dollar to actually go to someone who most needs it,
- 33:33they're completely naive in thinking that actually occurs if you hand it to the government.
- 33:38It doesn't happen. That's where you need churches and other organizations to be stepping in
- 33:42and doing this work beyond government money. Yeah, we got to get the government. I know
- 33:47this part is not going to happen because everybody's like a bunch of lazy sloths now.
- 33:50We need to get the government out of a lot of stuff that it does, which is, which may be a
- 33:56need idea, but it's just not what our tax money should go for.
- 34:01Right. And I promise, at least I believe wholeheartedly, that other organizations would step in to fill the gap that actually helps people in need, not just leave them hanging, and we won't have all the fraud and abuse then.
- 34:12Yeah, I was talking about homelessness last night. We'll talk about it after the break.
- 34:15Okay. We'll talk about the homelessness problem. I have something about the homelessness problem too. On The Voice of Texas, KSEV Radio. It's the mob, guys.
- 34:23KSEV Radio, 700 a.m., the voice of Texas.
- 34:28I am Craig Coglianese, he is Wayne Dolcefino.
- 34:31I am punching up right now the post on social media,
- 34:36the post on Dolcefino Consulting specifically
- 34:39that says certain things to get people
- 34:41to watch us on Facebook.
- 34:42We are on Facebook, we're on YouTube,
- 34:44we're on X, we're on Rumble, we're a bunch of places.
- 34:46Can I make an appeal to Facebook?
- 34:49Sure.
- 34:49Because, you know, I, when I started my company 14 years ago, we used an email.
- 34:55I've told you that story that I couldn't get my domain name because there was a guy in
- 35:00Germany named like Schmeckle or something that owned the name Dolcefino.
- 35:05He owned my name.
- 35:07So when I started my company, I had to call it Dolcefino.com.com.
- 35:14Right.
- 35:15I had to add a C O M because I couldn't use my name.
- 35:18Dolgefino.com.com.
- 35:19Yeah, now it's Dolgefino.com.
- 35:22Anyway, we set up our Facebook page
- 35:24and Dolgefino Consulting was the name of the company
- 35:26at the time because at the time,
- 35:28I was gonna mostly consult with other people.
- 35:32But as it evolved and as the local media died,
- 35:36we became much more of a content company, right?
- 35:39Our investigations are put out there.
- 35:41If you like old school investigative reporting,
- 35:43where you're guys.
- 35:45But I used an email.
- 35:48I think it had something to do with Dolcefino.com.com.
- 35:51It's like 14 years ago.
- 35:53Sure.
- 35:53And so I have no clue what that email was.
- 35:57Wow.
- 35:57So we have tried literally for like eight years.
- 36:01Maybe we can get a robot to do this.
- 36:02You probably can get a robot to do it.
- 36:04We have tried for the first thing I was thinking of.
- 36:05Eight years to get Facebook to let us change our company on social media to Dolcefino media.
- 36:13Okay.
- 36:14If you look at our site, it says consulting, but we really, we're not
- 36:19Safino media. Yeah. But we can't get anyone to respond. And when they do send
- 36:25the code, they send it to an email address that I must have had 14 years
- 36:30ago when I first created the company. How do I get to that email? I don't have that email.
- 36:36You can't. You can't get it. Yeah. I think your problem... Did you work on that for me?
- 36:41I could actually. I've done that before. I remember recovering the things like you're saying for a WGN group that had lost theirs.
- 36:51The problem is that your page is a little bit too big for it to be easy. If you were less popular Wayne, this would be easier.
- 36:59They don't like to give up the control of pages that have 100,000 plus people on them.
- 37:05Yeah, I don't want, like I just want to change the background.
- 37:10And it really is one of the things that really, like I get a letter from someone saying, I'm
- 37:16going to sue you some lawyer.
- 37:17I go, you know what, man, take a crap on yourself and I throw it away.
- 37:20But this Facebook thing really, really tweaks me.
- 37:25Well, I can help.
- 37:27I actually think I might be able to help you get it.
- 37:29We'll pay you.
- 37:29Okay, cool.
- 37:30Well, you gave me a little bit of money yesterday, so we'll see.
- 37:32No, no, no, but you know, look, I made a minimum wage is what?
- 37:36$7.50?
- 37:38What?
- 37:38It's fine.
- 37:40I said I would ask for more and then I'd take a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
- 37:44I will pay you what a what a burger guy made.
- 37:48The guy at the burger line.
- 37:50Well, which one?
- 37:51Like the guy that's been working there a few years?
- 37:53Maybe that guy, he gets a little bit more.
- 37:54Okay, first day guy.
- 37:56That guy's not making that much.
- 37:57That's fine.
- 37:58All right.
- 37:58But now, I think that a lot of the reason that this is so interesting to so many people,
- 38:04too, when you talk about some stuff like this, or to get back to what we were saying just
- 38:08before the break.
- 38:08Yeah, the Republicans.
- 38:09Yeah, the Republicans and the challenges that people face and the way that it kind of goes
- 38:13is, I think I just want to hear someone on the side I support that I believe is actually
- 38:18doing things that are making my life better admit that it's not done yet, admit that it's
- 38:24not and not in the way of saying, you know, like, there's
- 38:27a lot more work we could do to make things even better for you.
- 38:30I want them to say that, hey, looking at everything right now,
- 38:33this isn't where we wanted it to be. By October of 2026, when we
- 38:37took office in 2024, we wanted us, we wanted to be further
- 38:41down the road on some of the plans we have to make, you know,
- 38:44some of those costs go down. I think that that message alone
- 38:48would work more. And I think that's part of what you're
- 38:50saying is that if I just heard more people say, you know, we haven't succeeded to this
- 38:56certain level that we use this rhetoric or these, you know, kind of exaggerations all
- 39:00the time to claim we're succeeding to, if it's a little more muted, but we promise more
- 39:05is coming, that that would win over a lot of people.
- 39:07Yeah, but look, these consultants and the political party, the Republican Party, is
- 39:13must be looking at some numbers that tells them that this trans thing still gets people
- 39:18And I do think it gets a lot of the people that that culturally yeah, you know, there's two frustrations
- 39:26There's the money frustrations, right? I
- 39:30I bought what I buy. Oh a big thing a gum
- 39:34At the store last night. Okay, one of those big John things. It was seven dollars and 58 cents
- 40:07Wow.
- 40:11I understand why the party is tapping into the cultural frustration because it is true
- 40:19that if we don't hold the line, we can see it.
- 40:24You weren't there yesterday when we had this big debate in my office about Columbus Day.
- 40:30I mean, quite honestly, I almost gave my people off Columbus Day because they were annoying
- 40:33me.
- 40:34Oh, wow.
- 40:35The left wing freaks about Indigenous Peoples Day.
- 40:38And I said, who was here?
- 40:40Who was your first?
- 40:40And it was some tribe and I'm sure there were lovely people and I said well, where were they?
- 40:46I mean were they actually in the Heights? I mean were they sitting I mean, I think the cavemen
- 40:51I don't believe we're the only indigenous people right but but but cavemen
- 40:58I think we should go back to the days of the cavemen and
- 41:02I think back the land. Yes
- 41:04If we're gonna do this, yes, so I think there's two frustrations. There's the money frustration
- 41:11There's the cultural frustration and there's a cultural frustration and it's a kind of a recipe
- 41:16Well, you know, it's what's interesting about that too
- 41:17I think that a lot of people feel as though at times
- 41:20We've taken our eye off the ball in one way or another
- 41:23Education is a thing that I hear about a lot now that Republicans really just let that go
- 41:28We decided there was something more important over here and we ignored this issue over there and we let it grow
- 41:34And I think that's part of the reason that people attack culture
- 41:37So much is because it you are inundated with it if you if you step out of whatever silo you're in and just see generically
- 41:44What and I continue to do this. I don't know why we talked about this so much
- 41:48I think it's because of me I continue to do this via AI
- 41:50I'm keep having this stupid argument with Google's AI about how biased it is. I'll ask it for something
- 41:57It'll deliver me back what I think is a pretty biased message and I'll tell it like this is politically one-sided
- 42:02And I don't know if arguing with it once or twice a week will help it get better
- 42:06But I don't I don't think it matters the control. I'm not gonna argue. I'm not gonna argue with your robots
- 42:11Really? I'm a robot do what I say
- 42:13Well the control though about that messaging is so important that I think people do focus on culture wars and there are things
- 42:20We're dropping the ball on things that we at least need to be talking about
- 42:24Even if there is work being done behind the scenes to make those things better
- 42:27I do want to talk about Talarico again after the break because I think the left's
- 42:33explanation of what's going on with Talarico is weird. I know Wayne thinks it's weird too.
- 42:38Why can't you admit that some of it doesn't make any sense? Maybe it's not what we've said it could
- 42:42be, but it can't just be a flu. It doesn't seem like it's just a flu based on how he's behaved.
- 42:48But more of that on the Voice of Texas KSEV radio, the mob guys, Craig Coglianese Wayne Dolcefino.
