  We join Nesserines across the nation's in a sacred united

  calling to pray for the needs of our global churches and

  districts so requests shared from every region.

  We are reminded that we are one body serving 1 Lord with 1

  mission. This year marks the 30th
• 1:02
  anniversary of the Global Week of Prayer by Nazarenes Missions
• 1:06
  International, a beautiful milestone in a legacy of
• 1:10
  faithful intercession. Today we will listen to
• 1:13
  Christine Trent mozzarella. She has been serving as the
• 1:16
  Regional NMI Coordinator for the Asia Pacific Region since 2021,
• 1:22
  faithfully leading and mobilizing churches to engage in
• 1:25
  God's missions across a fast and diverse region.
• 1:28
  In 2023, she was elected Global NMI President during the Global
• 1:33
  NMI Convention, where she now provides leadership and vision
• 1:37
  to support mission engagements throughout the Worldwide Church
• 1:40
  of the Nazarene. In addition to her global and
• 1:43
  regional responsibilities, Christine serves as a pastor at
• 1:47
  Clark Church of the Nazarene. She is currently pursuing a
• 1:50
  Master of Intercultural Studies within the Asia Pacific region,
• 1:54
  reflecting her commitment to lifelong learning and effective
• 1:58
  cross cultural ministry. Christine is married to Ettie
• 2:02
  Eric and together they are blessed with three adult
• 2:04
  children. Our life and ministry continue
• 2:07
  to reflect a deep passion for prayer, mission and service to
• 2:11
  the global church. Our scripture reference is found
• 2:14
  in Colossians chapter 4, verse 2, which says devote yourselves
• 2:19
  to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
• 2:23
  Today we reflect on the importance of prayer, especially
• 2:27
  through the lens of Nazarene Missions International.
• 2:31
  At the heart of enemy is a call to mobilize the church in
• 2:35
  mission through prayer, generosity, learning and
• 2:40
  connection. But among all this, prayer is
• 2:44
  foundational. Prayer is not simply one
• 2:47
  activity of missions. It is the engine that drives
• 2:51
  missions forward. Before missionaries are sent,
• 2:56
  before resources are given, before lives are transformed.
• 3:01
  God's people pray. Prayer reminds us that mission
• 3:06
  is not our work alone. It is God's mission, and we
• 3:11
  participate through dependence on Him.
• 3:14
  Let us consider three ways prayer shapes and sustains our
• 3:19
  involvement in God's global mission #1 Prayer connects us to
• 3:25
  God's heart for the world. God's mission begins with God's
• 3:30
  love. When we pray for the nation's
• 3:34
  missionaries and enriched communities, our hearts become
• 3:38
  aligned with God's compassion for all people.
• 3:42
  Jesus told his disciples as the Lord of the harvest, therefore,
• 3:47
  to send out workers into harvest field.
• 3:50
  Prayer opens our eyes beyond our local setting.
• 3:54
  Through NMI prayer focus. Whether through global requests,
• 3:59
  missionary updates, or regional gatherings, we participate in
• 4:04
  God's work worldwide. Even when we cannot physically
• 4:08
  go, prayer allows us to be actively involved in mission.
• 4:14
  Prayer transforms spectators into participants in God's
• 4:19
  global mission #2 Prayer sustains and strengthens
• 4:24
  missionaries. Mission work is joyful but also
• 4:29
  demanding spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
• 4:34
  Our missionaries depend on the faithful prayers of the church.
• 4:39
  When NMI emphasizes caring and connecting, prayer becomes one
• 4:45
  of the most powerful ways we support them.
• 4:49
  Paul repeatedly asked the church, pray for us too, that
• 4:53
  God may open a door for our message.
• 4:58
  Through prayer, we lift their families, support their ministry
• 5:03
  and the challenges that they face, intercede for a spiritual
• 5:07
  breakthrough, celebrate victories together.
• 5:12
  Our prayers cross borders, cultures and time zones.
• 5:19
  Prayer assures missionaries they are not serving alone.
• 5:23
  They are upheld by the global body of Christ.

  Prayer is a partnership and mission that requires no
• 5:32
  passport, only faith #3 Prayer invites God's power into
• 5:40
  mission. Mission is ultimately spiritual
• 5:44
  work. Hearts transformed, lives
• 5:48
  renewed, communities restored. These outcomes cannot be
• 5:53
  achieved through human effort alone.

  Prayer invites God's power into mission efforts.

  The early church demonstrated this in Acts, praying before
• 6:08
  sending workers, praying in hardship, praying for boldness,
• 6:14
  and God responded with guidance, provision, and growth.

  NM eyes emphasis on prayer reminds us revival begins with
• 6:25
  prayer. Generosity flows from prayerful
• 6:28
  hearts. Mission engagement deepens
• 6:32
  through prayer. Unity across the global church
• 6:36
  grows through prayer. When we pray, we acknowledge
• 6:42
  that success in mission belongs to God.

  Prayer is not preparation for mission.
• 6:49
  Prayer is mission. As members and partners in
• 6:53
  enemy, let's ask, are we faithfully praying for
• 6:57
  missionaries and global needs? Are we teaching the next
• 7:01
  generation to pray for the nations?
• 7:05
  Are we allowing prayer to shape our giving, learning, and
• 7:09
  engagement? Whether through personal
• 7:12
  devotion, church gatherings, or regional initiatives like early
• 7:18
  morning prayers, our consistent intercession matters.
• 7:24
  God uses praying people to impact the world.
• 7:30
  Heavenly Father, we come before you with grateful hearts,
• 7:35
  recognizing that prayer is a lifeline of mission, before
• 7:40
  plans are made, before people are sent, before words are
• 7:45
  spoken. We pray because mission begins
• 7:49
  in your heart, and prayer aligns our hearts with yours.
• 7:54
  Lord teaches the prayers, the preparation for the work.
• 7:57
  Prayer is the work. Through prayer, you open doors
• 8:02
  no human effort can open. Through prayer, you soften
• 8:07
  hearts, send workers, provide resources, and bring
• 8:11
  transformation across nations. Remind us that every missionary
• 8:16
  is sustained by prayer. Every community reached its
• 8:20
  first covered in prayer. Every life changed is the result
• 8:25
  of your Spirit moving in response to your people calling
• 8:29
  on your name. Make us faithful intercessors.
• 8:34
  Give us a burden for the lost, compassion for the nations, and
• 8:38
  perseverance to pray even when we do not yet see the harvest.

  Help us to stand in the gap for missionaries, leaders, churches
• 8:49
  and places where Your name is not yet known.
• 8:53
  Lord forming us a culture of prayer where mission is fuelled
• 8:58
  by dependence on You, guided by Your voice and empowered by Your
• 9:04
  Spirit. Send us praying people.
• 9:08
  Send us a listening people. Send us obedient people.
• 9:14
  May we never attempt mission without prayer, and may we never
• 9:18
  stop praying for what matters to your heart.
• 9:22
  We surrender every plan, every nation, every missionary and
• 9:27
  every opportunity into your hands.
