- 0:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it's your favorite time
- 0:05Speaker 1: of week. You download the crazy sheet, you nestle in,
- 0:07Speaker 1: and you get ready to talk some college football with
- 0:10Speaker 1: Mark and Scott. I'm Mark. I'm in the podcasting studio.
- 0:13Speaker 1: My man, Scotty, out on the road. Brother, how the
- 0:16Speaker 1: hell are you?
- 0:16Speaker 2: Man, I'm good. I'm in North Carolina. Little furniture market.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Need to get away. We got a little Kennesaw steak
- 0:24Speaker 2: going on as we record. Excited about it. Let's get rolling, man.
- 0:30Speaker 2: What a great... week of football last week. Georgia, Bama
- 0:36Speaker 2: did not disappoint. Indiana, Nebraska did not disappoint. Kentucky, LSU
- 0:45Speaker 2: did not disappoint. My man, Stein, back-to-back weeks going for
- 0:50Speaker 2: two and OT. How about a set of brass balls, baby?
- 0:55Speaker 2: And then give me my man, Bob Chesney, going on
- 0:59Speaker 2: the road and getting the straight-up dub. And his quarterback
- 1:04Speaker 2: got hurt, and he still kicked their ass. That is awesome.
- 1:08Speaker 1: So here's my question for you. If Cignetti goes to Indiana,
- 1:14Speaker 1: does what he's done, coming from JMU, and then you
- 1:16Speaker 1: get the Chez going from there, obviously Penn State's probably like,
- 1:21Speaker 1: why did we get rid of James Franklin? Why didn't
- 1:23Speaker 1: we hire Chesney? What did we do? Okay, we'll figure
- 1:26Speaker 1: that out later. Now he's at UCLA, hotbed of talent.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I mean, and the guy's got the culture. But the
- 1:33Speaker 1: big question remains, Scott, two more years from now, are
- 1:36Speaker 1: we going to talk about JMU completely rebooting Sunbelt Billy
- 1:40Speaker 1: Napier's career?
- 1:41Speaker 2: Nobody's going to hire Sunbelt Billy. Dude, he's made so
- 1:46Speaker 2: many enemies. He's pissed off State, Ole Miss, South Carolina.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Then he got fired from Florida. Nobody's going to hire
- 1:54Speaker 2: that guy. If they do, they get what they deserve.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Sunbelt Billy is Sunbelt Billy. Recognize who you are. Make $ 650, 000, $ 700, 000
- 2:03Speaker 2: the rest of your life. Hang out. Get you some
- 2:07Speaker 2: Virginia on and just roll on.
- 2:09Speaker 1: A couple things we got rolling here. Charlotte, still the
- 2:13Speaker 1: greatest team to bet against in the country. Has it
- 2:16Speaker 1: covered yet?
- 2:17Speaker 2: No, they covered against the Rebs.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Oh, they covered against the Rebs.
- 2:21Speaker 2: The pre- Kiffin Bowl, which was the most obvious thing
- 2:26Speaker 2: ever because La Tech covered that game against LSU, too,
- 2:29Speaker 2: that weekend. We're betting the brakes off of them. Who
- 2:35Speaker 2: lays 21 at Temple? Scott does when it's UNC Charlotte.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Right there, baby.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Anyway, you've got that going. Oregon State on the rails.
- 2:47Speaker 1: And the Pac-12, looking like they might be a contender
- 2:49Speaker 1: out there. Love the Pac-12 after dark. Getting some games
- 2:54Speaker 1: back on television.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Look, I love Boise's coach. I mean, just, man, that
- 2:59Speaker 2: guy's fun to watch. There's not a whole lot of cussing.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I don't know if there's any cussing. Man, he is
- 3:04Speaker 2: an old-school football coach. Pumps his guys up. But he's
- 3:08Speaker 2: really good. He seems like he's a good football coach.
- 3:11Speaker 2: His team plays for him. That was a fun game.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I mean this, though. The Southeastern Conference last week was
- 3:20Speaker 2: complete chaos. I mean, Aggie fans, I mean, we both
- 3:25Speaker 2: lived in the state of Texas. This is beat down city.
- 3:28Speaker 2: And when he drops on, look, I think Billy Lucci,
- 3:33Speaker 2: and I do not know him. Actually, I've met him
- 3:36Speaker 2: one time, but I certainly don't know him. That he
- 3:41Speaker 2: called his guy, that he basically calls him out. That
- 3:44Speaker 2: is a gigantic website. I mean, if it's not the
- 3:50Speaker 2: biggest alumni, man, it's got to be close. That is
- 3:53Speaker 2: a huge website. And that he chooses to take that
- 3:57Speaker 2: group on in a press conference told me two things. First,
- 4:02Speaker 2: it's spinning off the rails. He knows he can't fix
- 4:04Speaker 2: it this season, so he's lashing out at whoever he
- 4:08Speaker 2: can lash out. I think the Aggies are spiraling, and
- 4:12Speaker 2: I don't think there's any pulling them out. Second, to
- 4:15Speaker 2: his credit, I think he was forced to apologize because
- 4:17Speaker 2: of how many boosters and things like that are members
- 4:20Speaker 2: of lucci's website but kudos to him for doing it
- 4:26Speaker 2: because he had to do it but at the end
- 4:28Speaker 2: of the day he is year two played in the
- 4:31Speaker 2: playoff last year and his ass is done.
- 4:35Speaker 1: And they're crucifying the guy.
- 4:36Speaker 2: And aggies are the most loyal look you know i
- 4:40Speaker 2: haze them i think they're a cult i think they're
- 4:43Speaker 2: different dudes it's the weirdest place in the Southeastern Conference, hell,
- 4:47Speaker 2: it's the weirdest place in America. It was the weirdest
- 4:49Speaker 2: place when they were in the Big 12. It's the
- 4:51Speaker 2: weirdest place in America. And he has totally cooked his
- 4:55Speaker 2: goose with a really nice set of people. And he's done.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I mean that. His ass better win and win big.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Don't be blowing playoff games at home. Your ass going
- 5:07Speaker 2: to end up the way of Dan Mullen. You'll get fired.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Instead of looking for a reason to support you, You
- 5:12Speaker 2: got people looking for a reason to fire your ass now.
- 5:14Speaker 2: That was the biggest unforced error that I might have
- 5:19Speaker 2: ever seen in a coach's history. It was stupid. I mean,
- 5:23Speaker 2: just dumb. I mean, it's dumb. And you realize that
- 5:29Speaker 2: a lot of these guys just there's their coaches. You
- 5:34Speaker 2: think sports teaches them how to handle adversity. And yet
- 5:38Speaker 2: they handle.
- 5:39Speaker 1: It so poorly.
- 5:41Speaker 2: And you're just like, what are you doing? And then
- 5:42Speaker 2: you realize, well, at the end of the day, they're
- 5:44Speaker 2: football coaches. You know?
- 5:48Speaker 1: Oh, but, yeah, you've got that Texas OU.
- 5:51Speaker 2: God, what a– oh.
- 5:53Speaker 1: What a game.
- 5:54Speaker 2: What a game. What a lack of development of Arch Manning.
- 6:02Speaker 2: I mean, if his name is Arch Denson or Arch Atnip,
- 6:07Speaker 2: his ass has been benched a long time ago.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Keep it going.
- 6:10Speaker 2: He transferred. He's gone. He's transferred. He's gone. And I
- 6:15Speaker 2: mean this, Mark. Like, I don't know if it's him
- 6:18Speaker 2: or the lack of development. And it's, here's the deal.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Slark has been, he's had three of the best, best
- 6:24Speaker 2: 20 jobs in America. I would also tell you he's
- 6:27Speaker 2: had two of the best traditionally five or six jobs,
- 6:32Speaker 2: max 10 jobs in America. And he's won more than
- 6:38Speaker 2: eight games. What? Two, three times? I mean, they are ungood.
- 6:44Speaker 2: That was embarrassing. And you can't let that happen. And
- 6:48Speaker 2: now they've got a game. And I will tell you,
- 6:50Speaker 2: I expect them to cover and win this week. I
- 6:53Speaker 2: really do. I think it's going to be a little.
- 6:55Speaker 2: But I don't know that they're any good. Like, I'm
- 6:57Speaker 2: telling you right now, I have no idea if I've
- 7:00Speaker 2: tried to find out if Camario Taylor's playing this weekend.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I have no idea if he's playing. I don't. I
- 7:06Speaker 2: think based on the line, Vegas thinks he's not playing.
- 7:11Speaker 2: There's no way I play him if I'm our head coach.
- 7:14Speaker 2: When you look at Oklahoma, Texas, Vandy, Auburn, and Tennessee Tech,
- 7:20Speaker 2: or your next five games, why would you go down
- 7:23Speaker 2: there and play against the legitimate defense and risk getting
- 7:27Speaker 2: that kid hurt? Because there's a chance you can win
- 7:30Speaker 2: all five games. This is the least winnable game that
- 7:34Speaker 2: State's got the next six weeks.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I agree.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Rest him. Don't play him. And look, regardless if you
- 7:42Speaker 2: lose in Austin, because I think they will, you win
- 7:44Speaker 2: the other four games, you're rolling into Oxford 8-3. The
- 7:49Speaker 2: pressure's all on Ole Miss at that point. And you
- 7:53Speaker 2: might win nine football games. And depending on what happens
- 7:56Speaker 2: with Minnesota and the teams you've lost to, and especially
- 8:00Speaker 2: if you sat Camario at LSU– Hell, you may make
- 8:04Speaker 2: the playoff. And I understand how stupid that sounds. And
- 8:09Speaker 2: that is best-case scenario for State. I think they end
- 8:12Speaker 2: up 7-5, I'll tell you. But it's doable. And if
- 8:17Speaker 2: you're a coach, you've got to look at what is
- 8:19Speaker 2: the best case. How am I putting my team in
- 8:23Speaker 2: the best situation? But I'm telling you that winning... at
- 8:29Speaker 2: Texas is as doable as winning at Baton Rouge without
- 8:32Speaker 2: their best wide receiver. I mean, it is wild how
- 8:36Speaker 2: underperforming Texas is.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I would agree with you. I think Sark and
- 8:41Speaker 1: Arch will get him. I think it'll get Sark fired
- 8:44Speaker 1: most likely. And Arch probably is dropped a lot because
- 8:48Speaker 1: I don't know how long they'll be able to keep
- 8:49Speaker 1: selling the fact that the kid is just because he
- 8:52Speaker 1: just didn't have the tape. But, yeah, it is what
- 8:54Speaker 1: it is. Texas defense is still nasty.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Nasty.
- 8:58Speaker 1: They gave all kinds of problems in that game. They
- 9:01Speaker 1: couldn't have played better. Kudos to OU, scored their first
- 9:04Speaker 1: offensive touchdown in three years against Texas in that game,
- 9:08Speaker 1: so you got that one done. Florida.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Oh, that's so bad. Do you know who their offense
- 9:14Speaker 2: coordinator was?
- 9:16Speaker 1: I do not, no.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Libs.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Oh, is that right? There you go. There you go.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Florida is starting to come back to earth a little bit,
- 9:23Speaker 1: having to start to figure things out. So, as we
- 9:25Speaker 1: get to the halfway point, week six, college football, just
- 9:28Speaker 1: about everybody is halfway there. Usually at this point, you
- 9:32Speaker 1: kind of start seeing some separation. I don't know what
- 9:36Speaker 1: we're seeing yet. Alabama, Auburn.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Well, maybe I predict what we're seeing. I think that
- 9:41Speaker 2: was a great game. I think so. Both those are
- 9:44Speaker 2: good football teams.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I think Alabama is really good.
- 9:47Speaker 2: I think Alabama's really good, too.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Don't knock my USC Trojans going on the road, getting
- 9:55Speaker 1: a win and a whiteout. You heard it here first.
- 9:58Speaker 2: We did say it first, but, man, they're still coming.
- 10:00Speaker 2: by him. It is what it is. I do want
- 10:03Speaker 2: to comment on that Bama-Georgia game. There has been so
- 10:07Speaker 2: much backlash online for the way that he addressed the
- 10:13Speaker 2: kid for throwing the punch. You can call it a
- 10:17Speaker 2: punch or a stiff arm or whatever you want to
- 10:18Speaker 2: call it. He got away with one. He didn't do
- 10:24Speaker 2: it once. He did it twice. Georgia baited him into
- 10:28Speaker 2: doing it again. It was dumbass. Can we stop acting
- 10:31Speaker 2: like these kids are infants? They are making hundreds of
- 10:37Speaker 2: thousands of dollars. If you want to get paid, you
- 10:40Speaker 2: can't expect to be treated like you're getting paid. Hell,
- 10:44Speaker 2: I would have gotten the exact same thing from my
- 10:47Speaker 2: high school football coach. He would have looked at me
- 10:50Speaker 2: and said, you lost us the game, jackass. What are
- 10:54Speaker 2: you doing? No doubt only he would have said it
- 10:57Speaker 2: much more colorfully than that. And he would have been right,
- 11:01Speaker 2: and I deserved it. Can we please stop acting like
- 11:04Speaker 2: these kids are, oh, they're soft. Bitch, you want to
- 11:09Speaker 2: get paid. Get expected to get yelled at when you're
- 11:12Speaker 2: a dumbass. Because guess what? You did lose– well, you
- 11:15Speaker 2: lost them a chance to win the football game. I
- 11:18Speaker 2: don't know if they were going to win it because Georgia,
- 11:21Speaker 2: I think, was the better football team all night. Because
- 11:23Speaker 2: here's the deal. He can bitch about that call in
- 11:25Speaker 2: the end zone. Once you go back and bitch about
- 11:27Speaker 2: all the holding calls, they gave your ass that they
- 11:29Speaker 2: didn't call for a quarter and a half because you
- 11:31Speaker 2: were mugging those Georgia defenders. If you had eyes, you
- 11:35Speaker 2: saw it. So, I think Bama got a little bit
- 11:37Speaker 2: of home cooking to get in that situation.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I won't disagree with you there. I needed Bama, so
- 11:46Speaker 1: I would have taken all the home cooking I could
- 11:48Speaker 1: have gotten, but I could see these teams coming.
- 11:50Speaker 2: It's going to be a great Southeastern Conference championship.
- 11:54Speaker 1: They play a couple more times.
- 11:56Speaker 2: It's fabulous. I will tell you this, that everybody is
- 12:00Speaker 2: bitching about the Southeastern Conference. Look, they're 10-2 in non-conference play.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Mississippi State, I think people are realizing is a good
- 12:10Speaker 2: football team, but not a great football team. They're a
- 12:13Speaker 2: 7-5 football team. They went on the road and gas-ganned
- 12:16Speaker 2: a Big Ten team. You need that Big Ten team
- 12:20Speaker 2: to go 6-6 if you're going to say, hey, the
- 12:22Speaker 2: top of our league is better. That's the truth. Because
- 12:26Speaker 2: State's going to go 6-6 or 7-5. That's what's coming.
- 12:30Speaker 2: And maybe 8-4, but most likely 7-5, 6-6 is more likely.
- 12:37Speaker 2: And you're telling me that, oh, these teams shouldn't be ranked.
- 12:41Speaker 2: They're slugging it out. They are pounding each other. I mean,
- 12:45Speaker 2: you look at Florida. Who the hell in the Big
- 12:48Speaker 2: Ten's playing that schedule the last three weeks?
- 12:51Speaker 1: Nobody's got to play.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Who the hell's doing what Mississippi State's doing in the
- 12:55Speaker 2: month of October? Bama, LSU, Oklahoma, at Texas. Two of
- 13:01Speaker 2: those on the road. Nobody in the Big Ten's playing
- 13:05Speaker 2: that kind of schedule. Hell, Nebraska's the team that can
- 13:08Speaker 2: bitch the most. They're playing... at home against Indiana and
- 13:14Speaker 2: on the road at Oregon, and hell, they almost won one,
- 13:16Speaker 2: and I think they cover this weekend.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Like I said.
- 13:21Speaker 2: And Dylan Raiola, by the way, still sucks.
- 13:25Speaker 1: We don't need to go into depths about that. He
- 13:27Speaker 1: looked terrible. I read a comment about it afterwards. It
- 13:32Speaker 1: was like, yeah, he played well in that one game
- 13:34Speaker 1: because we were prepared to defend a mobile quarterback. It's
- 13:37Speaker 1: like the next week when we knew he was coming,
- 13:39Speaker 1: we had a statute. and so you can change the
- 13:41Speaker 1: game and go from there. But that's where you get
- 13:43Speaker 1: into very good coaching. That's how these guys move up
- 13:46Speaker 1: the ranks is they dig in, they find these niches,
- 13:49Speaker 1: they find these things out, and they go.
- 13:51Speaker 2: The question is this, Mark, and I do mean this,
- 13:54Speaker 2: is I think Lanning's awesome, but I also think he's
- 13:58Speaker 2: finding his footing. Man, he lost LaPoi to Cal, and
- 14:03Speaker 2: he lost Stein to Kentucky. don't you have to ask
- 14:07Speaker 2: questions of was that Lanning's team or was that Stein's team?
- 14:13Speaker 1: Yeah, but you get back to even– this is the
- 14:17Speaker 1: only coach that has done this in you and I's
- 14:19Speaker 1: time and actively watched football is the one and the
- 14:23Speaker 1: only Nick Saban. Because we watched in Florida. You know,
- 14:28Speaker 1: we watched Urban Meyer build that thing up, and they
- 14:30Speaker 1: were incredible.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yeah, he loses Mullen, and he's got to hire his
- 14:34Speaker 2: offensive line coach, and they suck.
- 14:36Speaker 1: He loses Mullen. He loses Charlie Strong. He loses, you know,
- 14:40Speaker 1: all those guys start getting bigger jobs. The team deteriorates.
- 14:44Speaker 1: He moves on. You could argue the same thing at Clemson.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Clemson loses Tony Elliott. He loses Brent Venables. That team
- 14:51Speaker 1: completely falls off the map. Maybe those two guys convince
- 14:54Speaker 1: him to get on board with the NIL because he
- 14:56Speaker 1: trusts him. I don't know.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 14:58Speaker 1: But I'm just saying you have to build a good
- 15:00Speaker 1: team to get to the top, and then it's a
- 15:03Speaker 1: matter of– Can you keep a good team not together
- 15:06Speaker 1: because your good talent's going to leave because they want
- 15:08Speaker 1: to get paid and they want to grow, but can
- 15:10Speaker 1: you keep leading those same men to victory like you saw, again,
- 15:15Speaker 1: the one and only Nick Saban be able to do
- 15:17Speaker 1: that in my lifetime? And so we'll see. I mean,
- 15:21Speaker 1: we've got a lot to go from here, but we're
- 15:23Speaker 1: halfway through the season, Scotty. There's three teams I think
- 15:26Speaker 1: they're any good. I think one of them is Notre Dame,
- 15:28Speaker 1: one of them is Georgia, and the other one is Alabama.
- 15:30Speaker 2: I agree.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Past that, it's a waterfall that's wide open. And anybody
- 15:34Speaker 1: that can get a ticket to.
- 15:35Speaker 2: The day– And I think Ohio State's next.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I think Ohio State's probably– I think they.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Blew it because Ryan Day can figure out how to lose. Yeah,
- 15:42Speaker 2: and I think– And Austin. That's the truth. I think
- 15:45Speaker 2: they're the fourth best team.
- 15:46Speaker 1: We got all that rolling here. As we get ready
- 15:49Speaker 1: for this, looking at it, let's get this sheet going.
- 15:51Speaker 1: We got a pretty good board. Thursday night. You got
- 15:54Speaker 1: a little East Carolina, UAB, Georgia Southern, Old Domino, Colorado State,
- 16:01Speaker 1: Texas State. Any action at all Thursday evening for you?
- 16:04Speaker 2: I got nothing.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I got it the same way, man.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Friday night changes the game, baby.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Where are we going Friday night for you?
- 16:14Speaker 2: Man, dude, I'm betting Memphis until they stop burning me.
- 16:17Speaker 2: These dudes are winning football games, and Tulane is mad.
- 16:21Speaker 2: And they're going on the road, but that Tulane Stadium
- 16:23Speaker 2: is not impressive. But I'm going to tell you something.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Purdue's starting to fight.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Yes, they are.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Purdue's starting to win. All right, Washington's got all kinds
- 16:31Speaker 2: of problems. Give me the Boilermakers. Plus three and a
- 16:34Speaker 2: half at home on Friday night. I mean, minus three
- 16:37Speaker 2: and a half on Friday night. Winner, winner. Chicken dinner, baby.
- 16:44Speaker 1: The Boilermakers have gone from being one of the worst
- 16:47Speaker 1: power five teams in the country to.
- 16:49Speaker 2: They're now laying points. He's doing a good job.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm quite there to lay points
- 16:56Speaker 1: with the Boilers, but they can play some offense.
- 16:58Speaker 2: You going to lay seven with me on Memphis?
- 17:00Speaker 1: Of course I'm going to lay seven on Memphis.
- 17:02Speaker 2: There we go. My man draws tough.
- 17:05Speaker 1: He's a good coach, man. I think he's probably one
- 17:07Speaker 1: of the next up-and-comers to get a good job. Let's
- 17:09Speaker 1: roll into Saturday. We got here. First, we've got Ohio State, Indiana.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Big game.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Big 10. This one's going to be played in Bloomington.
- 17:18Speaker 1: It's big time for these guys. I've watched both of
- 17:21Speaker 1: these teams play quite a bit this year. A couple
- 17:23Speaker 1: of things I can take away on the Indiana side.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Indiana's done a really good job masking what they could
- 17:29Speaker 1: run themselves into trouble with with Hoover, I think. They
- 17:33Speaker 1: have not let that kid throw the picks that he's
- 17:36Speaker 1: been known to throw the last couple of years at TCU.
- 17:39Speaker 1: They've done better. Now, he's got two dogs at wide receiver.
- 17:42Speaker 2: He does.
- 17:43Speaker 1: And that really helps. And they've got a pretty good
- 17:45Speaker 1: running game that he can go from there. When you
- 17:47Speaker 1: look at the defense, though, that's where I kind of
- 17:49Speaker 1: wonder where is this team going to go? I think
- 17:51Speaker 1: this team is a step back on offense and defense.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Got the show dogs barking here. I'm going to Ohio
- 17:57Speaker 1: State minus three, three and a half in this one.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I don't think I'm scared of Ohio State minus three
- 18:01Speaker 1: and a half. I think this team comes in, takes
- 18:03Speaker 1: care of business. I think they're marketably better. I think
- 18:05Speaker 1: they also realize they cannot lose. And so they have
- 18:08Speaker 1: to go in here and win this game.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Indiana can lose, and they can't.
- 18:12Speaker 1: That's correct.
- 18:14Speaker 2: There's a fight for your life mentality here.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I think Ohio State absolutely gets it done, covers this
- 18:19Speaker 1: one going from there. Next one, Scotty, I got. Let's
- 18:22Speaker 1: go down to Red Stick, baby. Line here is 14.5
- 18:25Speaker 1: as the Mississippi State Bulldogs travel down here. Over-under is 57.5.
- 18:31Speaker 1: I don't know who's going to play quarterback for Mississippi State.
- 18:34Speaker 1: They're kind of being quiet about it. I don't think
- 18:35Speaker 1: Camario is going to play personally. But the one thing
- 18:39Speaker 1: I have found that's interesting is the spread has kind
- 18:42Speaker 1: of told you Camario is not going to play at
- 18:44Speaker 1: 14 and a half. But the total has not told
- 18:47Speaker 1: you he's not going to play at 57 and a half.
- 18:49Speaker 1: This MSU defense is not that good, and I think
- 18:53Speaker 1: they're going to give up points, and they're going to
- 18:55Speaker 1: try to stay in this thing with everything that they got,
- 18:58Speaker 1: whether it's Billy Puckett. that they've got coming off the bench.
- 19:01Speaker 1: The 14, you know, Jaden Roshala came. And then you
- 19:04Speaker 1: got A.J. Swan is in the quarterback room there as well.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Probably impressed that I knew you're four deep in your
- 19:09Speaker 1: quarterback room, Scott. But give me the over for the
- 19:11Speaker 1: 57 and a half in the Mississippi State LSU game.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Let me know if you want any of that.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Give me the Tigers lane. I got it at 14.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Give me the Tigers lane. I have it at. 10.5
- 19:21Speaker 2: for the gambling sake. We'll say minus 14. I took
- 19:24Speaker 2: this open. I don't think Camario is going to play.
- 19:27Speaker 2: I know this if I'm the football coach. He nor
- 19:30Speaker 2: Fluff Botwell are playing. Mississippi State season starts next weekend.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Starkville against Oklahoma. They got Oklahoma at Texas. Home to Vandy.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Home to Auburn. Home to Tennessee Tech. You win four
- 19:42Speaker 2: of those ballgames, you're right where you need to be
- 19:46Speaker 2: rolling to Oxford and you've got all the pressure on
- 19:47Speaker 2: the Rebels, not Starkville. But you just need to win
- 19:50Speaker 2: a couple of those games to get bowl eligible. A
- 19:53Speaker 2: win against Oklahoma and, say, Bandy, even if they lose
- 19:57Speaker 2: to Auburn. Okay. Okay. I don't think– truly, I think
- 20:04Speaker 2: they're going to have gagged it to lose those games.
- 20:06Speaker 2: I think the most likely of those home games is
- 20:08Speaker 2: probably– Oklahoma to lose because it's the most talented team.
- 20:11Speaker 2: But if you find a way to lose one of
- 20:13Speaker 2: those games, you are still seven wins. I said preseason
- 20:19Speaker 2: on this podcast, Jeff Levy finds out how to win
- 20:21Speaker 2: seven games with this schedule. They ought to be Southeastern
- 20:25Speaker 2: Conference Coach of the Year. And I agree to this
- 20:28Speaker 2: day that he should do it. The Summer Gun wins
- 20:30Speaker 2: eight games. And hell, it ought to be a unanimous vote.
- 20:34Speaker 2: This line sucks on both sides.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Of the ball.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Give me the Tigers, baby. They've got to win. Look,
- 20:43Speaker 2: the heat's on. There's heat on him early, early. People
- 20:49Speaker 2: thought Kiffin was going to come in and be 11-1,
- 20:52Speaker 2: and they were going to go to the playoff, and
- 20:53Speaker 2: it was great. I didn't think that. I told you
- 20:56Speaker 2: I didn't think they were making the playoff. I still
- 20:59Speaker 2: don't think they're going to make the playoff, but I
- 21:01Speaker 2: wouldn't play my best players down there. Give me the Tigers.
- 21:05Speaker 2: This has been a house of horrors for the Bulldogs
- 21:07Speaker 2: my whole life. My whole life. Give me the Tigers.
- 21:12Speaker 1: That's a long way to get to plus 14 and
- 21:14Speaker 1: a half.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Give me the Tigers. They're going to beat the brakes
- 21:17Speaker 2: off us.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Florida, Texas.
- 21:19Speaker 2: 38-14, Mark.
- 21:21Speaker 1: 38-14.
- 21:21Speaker 2: That'll be the final.
- 21:24Speaker 1: This is a big line. Texas minus 10 and a half.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Florida over under here is 51 and a half. I
- 21:28Speaker 1: don't have a play here. I think you kind of
- 21:31Speaker 1: got two wounded animals in this one. And it may
- 21:35Speaker 1: just be able to come out and see who can
- 21:37Speaker 1: get some momentum rolling and go.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Does Sarkisian get fired if they lose this game?
- 21:41Speaker 1: I don't know that he gets fired. I think they're
- 21:44Speaker 1: going to play out the string with this and see.
- 21:47Speaker 1: But I do think if I'm Sark, I probably say
- 21:50Speaker 1: I can't call plays anymore and I need an offensive
- 21:52Speaker 1: coordinator and I just need to run things. That's my
- 21:54Speaker 1: personal opinion. If we're not going to play this game,
- 21:57Speaker 1: let's keep plowing. Cincinnati, West Virginia, are you going to
- 22:01Speaker 1: take the Bearcats here?
- 22:03Speaker 2: Give me the Bearcats on the road. Give me the
- 22:05Speaker 2: Bearcats on the road. I think this is a great
- 22:10Speaker 2: setup for them. Not a lot of travel. I think
- 22:13Speaker 2: this is actually a pretty good football team. West Virginia
- 22:19Speaker 2: is a complete mystery. I mean, they are a good one.
- 22:24Speaker 2: It's not even one game. It's one series they look great,
- 22:29Speaker 2: and the next they look lost. It is. I think
- 22:32Speaker 2: since he wins this game, I think it's a great
- 22:34Speaker 2: cover for him. I think this is a better football
- 22:38Speaker 2: team in the Big 12 than people are giving them
- 22:39Speaker 2: credit for.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll ride with you on this one. Give me
- 22:42Speaker 1: the Bearcats on the road in this one. Next one, Scotty,
- 22:44Speaker 1: is an easy one. Charlotte on the road traveling to Philadelphia,
- 22:48Speaker 1: supposed to get some wind in this one. Temple got
- 22:50Speaker 1: some backups, laying 21. You're going to take Coach Keeton
- 22:53Speaker 1: and the boys to lay 21 against the champs.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I told you, not only am I taking them every
- 22:58Speaker 2: week until they don't cover, I'm going to bet them
- 23:00Speaker 2: again the next week to make them cover twice. I'm
- 23:03Speaker 2: telling you, I'm betting these guys every week. I'm already
- 23:07Speaker 2: house money. I'm one or two more games from house
- 23:10Speaker 2: money for the year. Take Temple.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Missouri, Ole Miss. This one will be played out there
- 23:18Speaker 1: in Oxford, Mississippi. Line's five and a half. Over's 58
- 23:23Speaker 1: and a half. Here's where I'm going. Give me the
- 23:25Speaker 1: over again in this one. The Ole Miss, I love
- 23:28Speaker 1: Trinidad Chambliss. I like what I see from the offense.
- 23:31Speaker 1: The offense on this team is actually better than I
- 23:33Speaker 1: was expecting it to be. I really thought this team
- 23:37Speaker 1: would lean on the defense because that's where Pete Golding
- 23:40Speaker 1: is comfortable. He's not. And I think I'm going over
- 23:45Speaker 1: 58 and a half. I think this game is going
- 23:47Speaker 1: to be a lot more of a shootout than we think.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Give me the over in that one.
- 23:51Speaker 2: I'll tell you why I'm taking over in this ballgame, Mark,
- 23:54Speaker 2: because I think Caden Lee and Austin Simmons are coming
- 23:56Speaker 2: down with a chip on their shoulder. Both those guys
- 23:59Speaker 2: are really, really good football players. I think they come
- 24:02Speaker 2: in with something to prove. I think Austin Simmons has
- 24:05Speaker 2: got a little F you about him. I think he
- 24:07Speaker 2: wants to come in and get on it. I think
- 24:09Speaker 2: Caden Lee is legit. I mean, legit. And I think
- 24:13Speaker 2: the Rebels are missing him big time. I think it's
- 24:16Speaker 2: his high scoring. If it's not, Mizzou covers easy. Maybe
- 24:20Speaker 2: win the game straight up.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Next one I've got is my favorite play on the board.
- 24:25Speaker 1: It's second weekend in October. Bama, Tennessee. Bama laying seven
- 24:31Speaker 1: and a half on the road, traveling Neyland Stadium. 51.5
- 24:34Speaker 1: is the over-under in this one. Tennessee, I think, is
- 24:37Speaker 1: going to be starting their backup again. George McIntyre, I
- 24:39Speaker 1: kind of got the vibes from reading Josh Eifel's clippings
- 24:42Speaker 1: that Faison Brandon, it's not just that he might be
- 24:44Speaker 1: nicked up, but I don't know that he's really got
- 24:46Speaker 1: a lot of confidence in the kid. So he's really
- 24:48Speaker 1: trying to lean on that run game and his defense.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I don't think it's going to matter here. I think
- 24:52Speaker 1: this Bama team, even though they lost last week, number one,
- 24:55Speaker 1: I think they come in with a chip on their shoulder.
- 24:57Speaker 1: And number two is I think this Bama team is
- 25:00Speaker 1: one of those teams that may be peaking right around
- 25:02Speaker 1: week 11. I mean, well, you've got a young quarterback
- 25:06Speaker 1: that's still getting reps, still getting big-time games under his belt.
- 25:10Speaker 1: And he's playing in them, and he's looking good.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Yes. Give me this.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I think this is a big mismatch. I don't understand
- 25:17Speaker 1: this line at seven and a half. I think they
- 25:19Speaker 1: got the hook hung out there thinking that they're going
- 25:21Speaker 1: to get cute and get some Tennessee money. Give me
- 25:24Speaker 1: the tide all day in this one.
- 25:27Speaker 2: This line feels like a trap line. Totally. I'll walk
- 25:30Speaker 2: right into it. Give me the tide. They're going to
- 25:32Speaker 2: pound these guys.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Next two, I got Oregon State laying 18.5 against Washington State,
- 25:39Speaker 1: over-unders 52.5. I don't know if you've watched Oregon State
- 25:42Speaker 1: play yet this year. I've watched them play almost every game.
- 25:45Speaker 1: After that opening weekend when they matched up against Houston,
- 25:48Speaker 1: I was like, wow, this team's really good. Quarterback won
- 25:51Speaker 1: the Walter Payton Award last year, which if you're not
- 25:53Speaker 1: familiar with that, that's the FCS Heisman Trophy, basically. Brings
- 25:58Speaker 1: them over here. Kidd is lighting it up. They got
- 26:00Speaker 1: some receivers that can absolutely get it done. Coach is
- 26:04Speaker 1: doing wonderful things. Washington State still really hadn't found their footing.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I'm going to lay it with Oregon State 18 and
- 26:10Speaker 1: a half until they burn me.
- 26:12Speaker 2: I like it. I got nothing on this, but I
- 26:14Speaker 2: will tell you, I got me another OSU I like
- 26:16Speaker 2: coming up down.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Next one I got, Scotty, TCU playing Baylor. Baylor laying
- 26:22Speaker 1: six at home, over-unders 48 and a half. This could
- 26:25Speaker 1: be considered a quarter-and-quarter rivalry game for these two schools.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I've never figured it out. Give me the Baylor Bears
- 26:31Speaker 1: minus six. Yeah, here's what we got. TCU is literally
- 26:35Speaker 1: one of the worst offenses in the country. Against power
- 26:38Speaker 1: four teams, do you know how many points off the
- 26:40Speaker 1: top of your head they're averaging?
- 26:42Speaker 2: Eleven. Eleven.
- 26:43Speaker 1: That's absolutely correct. We didn't even talk about this.
- 26:45Speaker 2: We haven't even talked about this, but I looked at
- 26:47Speaker 2: it earlier today.
- 26:48Speaker 1: They're averaging 11 points a game against Power 14. That's unbelievable.
- 26:53Speaker 1: They run at a snail's pace. They've got a quarterback
- 26:56Speaker 1: that transferred in from Harvard. I said this week when
- 26:58Speaker 1: I saw this happen at LSU with Andy Hatch years ago,
- 27:01Speaker 1: it's not going to work, and it hasn't worked. They
- 27:03Speaker 1: can't make the.
- 27:04Speaker 2: You did call this early, by the way. We talked
- 27:06Speaker 2: about this a lot off air, and you did call
- 27:08Speaker 2: it early.
- 27:09Speaker 1: They cannot make this work. Baylor is the best defense
- 27:12Speaker 1: in the Big 12. I used to yell that when
- 27:14Speaker 1: we went to the Holiday Bowl. The Bruin fans laughed
- 27:17Speaker 1: at me because we gave up 45 points a game
- 27:19Speaker 1: that year. But anyway, Baylor is the best defense in
- 27:22Speaker 1: the Big 12. They're kind of coming into their own.
- 27:24Speaker 1: They've had some injuries. But now you've got Lagway.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Lagway's figuring it out.
- 27:28Speaker 1: He's figuring it out. And you can tell this team
- 27:30Speaker 1: wants to follow it. I mean, they want a leader.
- 27:33Speaker 1: And you can see that he's playing with some swag. TCU,
- 27:37Speaker 1: short man syndrome. They hate everybody. Baylor gets it done.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Land six. Give me the Bears. I don't think the
- 27:43Speaker 1: Frogs can come on the road and get this one done.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Sorry to my buddy Kevin, but I'm with you on this.
- 27:49Speaker 2: I'm going Baylor Bears.
- 27:50Speaker 1: So, next one I got Florida State, Miami. Miami's laying 21,
- 27:55Speaker 1: 21 and a half in this one. They're taking all
- 27:57Speaker 1: the money over under here. It's 56 and a half.
- 27:59Speaker 1: This used to be a great game. I'm tempted to
- 28:02Speaker 1: take Florida State plus 21 and a half. But I
- 28:05Speaker 1: think if Miami just leaves their dogs out there, I
- 28:08Speaker 1: don't see how Florida State's going to keep up with
- 28:10Speaker 1: these guys.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Yeah, the only reason that I think Florida State covers
- 28:15Speaker 2: is they– man, this game is full of hatred. But
- 28:21Speaker 2: they can't ever find a way to win it. Some
- 28:23Speaker 2: bitches would have won five natties if they could have
- 28:25Speaker 2: figured out how to win this game in the 90s.
- 28:27Speaker 2: I mean, holy smokes, they had great football teams and
- 28:31Speaker 2: just couldn't beat Miami. I think I'll do it now
- 28:34Speaker 2: when they're the less talented team, significantly more talented as Miami,
- 28:39Speaker 2: and they used to not be. It used to be
- 28:40Speaker 2: the other way around. Do I think that this team
- 28:43Speaker 2: is going to come out and give it its all
- 28:46Speaker 2: and keep it within the 21, 21 and a half?
- 28:49Speaker 2: I think that is likely, but Miami comes out and
- 28:52Speaker 2: plays well. Probably not. I don't want any part of
- 28:56Speaker 2: this game, but if my gut tells me if I
- 28:58Speaker 2: take it, I'll take FSU. But that's history. That's not
- 29:01Speaker 2: what I've seen with my eyes. I agree.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Totally agree with you. I'll probably be watching. I will
- 29:06Speaker 1: not be surprised Saturday morning if I look up and
- 29:09Speaker 1: I have a ticket in my hand for Florida State
- 29:11Speaker 1: plus 21.5. It's like, this is going to be so gross.
- 29:14Speaker 1: And I've got another one down the board that I
- 29:17Speaker 1: know I will end up betting, and it's disgusting. I'll
- 29:19Speaker 1: get to that in a minute. Notre Dame. On the road,
- 29:23Speaker 1: laying ten and a half against BYU. BYU team is
- 29:26Speaker 1: nicked up. Over-under is 46 and a half. These teams
- 29:30Speaker 1: are very different. Notre Dame is very explosive. Of course,
- 29:32Speaker 1: they played a terrible football team last week and blew
- 29:35Speaker 1: them out of the water. BYU is a very physical squad.
- 29:38Speaker 1: You've got a quarterback that weighs as much as a
- 29:40Speaker 1: high school guard. Hands throw the ball better this year
- 29:45Speaker 1: from what I've picked up.
- 29:46Speaker 2: To his brother. Yeah.
- 29:48Speaker 1: The only thing that's weird about this game to me
- 29:51Speaker 1: is the line stinks. Like at 10.5 and the fact
- 29:55Speaker 1: that it's not moving stinks to me. And so you
- 29:59Speaker 1: want to take Notre Dame and you want to lay it.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I'm going to pass the game, but I'm telling you,
- 30:04Speaker 1: if I were going to play it, I'd probably have
- 30:06Speaker 1: to play the boys in special underwear just because I
- 30:08Speaker 1: think the line stinks. I have the line closer to
- 30:11Speaker 1: 13 based on my book.
- 30:12Speaker 2: I love it. I love it. We'll disagree on this.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Hail to the. I'm telling you, I'm telling you. I
- 30:23Speaker 2: think Notre Dame is a really, really good football team.
- 30:26Speaker 2: I've felt it all year. I think C.J. Carr is
- 30:29Speaker 2: a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate. I think they are going
- 30:34Speaker 2: to keep pounding on people. Yes, their schedule is favoritive
- 30:39Speaker 2: for them, but this is a game they can make
- 30:42Speaker 2: a statement. I agree. And I think Marcus Freeman has
- 30:47Speaker 2: them by a love him as a football coach. I
- 30:50Speaker 2: think he knows how to motivate young men. I think
- 30:53Speaker 2: these kids want to play for him. Give me a
- 30:57Speaker 2: fighting Irish. I think they're fixing to beat the brakes
- 31:00Speaker 2: off of BYU.
- 31:01Speaker 1: I can see it. I mean, that's what I'm telling you.
- 31:04Speaker 1: I can see that exactly happening.
- 31:06Speaker 2: This may be one of those old-school Miami, like Florida
- 31:10Speaker 2: State games. They would play like a ranked team, and
- 31:12Speaker 2: you'd look up, and it's 48-14, 48-21. I think that
- 31:16Speaker 2: may be exactly what we get this weekend.
- 31:18Speaker 1: It could be.
- 31:19Speaker 2: I don't think there's any way BYU can keep up
- 31:22Speaker 2: with them.
- 31:22Speaker 1: I totally agree with you, and that's the reason I
- 31:25Speaker 1: can't bet it, because it stinks too bad. I agree
- 31:28Speaker 1: with it too much.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Yeah, you're laying 10 and a half on the road
- 31:31Speaker 2: to a top 10 football team, but I don't think
- 31:34Speaker 2: BYU's a top 10 football team.
- 31:35Speaker 1: At altitude of like 7,000 feet, too.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the same thing they said when Cheryl took
- 31:42Speaker 2: Mississippi State out there in 99, and we beat the
- 31:44Speaker 2: brakes off their ass, too, because we had a good
- 31:46Speaker 2: football team. I'm telling you, I don't... I just don't
- 31:51Speaker 2: think they've got the athletes to keep up.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Next one I got, Cougars at home, laying four and
- 31:58Speaker 1: a half against another ranked team, Oklahoma State. Team everybody
- 32:02Speaker 1: kind of threw away week one after they lost Tulsa.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Then they beat Oregon, and then you kind of wonder
- 32:07Speaker 1: if Oregon's any good. But if you've watched Mestemaker play,
- 32:11Speaker 1: they figured it out on offense. Hence the fact that
- 32:14Speaker 1: the over-under here is 62 and a half. I'm going
- 32:16Speaker 1: to take the Cowboys plus four and a half. I
- 32:18Speaker 1: think this team's a live dog on the road. Here's
- 32:21Speaker 1: my logic. I've watched U of H play. This team
- 32:24Speaker 1: is very mistake driven. And that is the reason I'm
- 32:29Speaker 1: going to lay it. This is a very undisciplined Willie
- 32:33Speaker 1: Fritz football team, in my personal opinion. And that means
- 32:36Speaker 1: they're probably still more disciplined than most. But I just
- 32:39Speaker 1: feel like this team's just kind of just, they just
- 32:42Speaker 1: can't keep a drive rolling at times because they'll screw
- 32:44Speaker 1: themselves up. or make a mistake there. And they're relying
- 32:47Speaker 1: a ton on Wegman. And I like the kid a lot.
- 32:49Speaker 1: I just wonder from here, game could be a shootout.
- 32:52Speaker 1: If it goes to being a shootout, I don't know
- 32:54Speaker 1: if U of H can hang around. So give me
- 32:56Speaker 1: the Cowboys. Give me the points.
- 32:58Speaker 2: This says 61 and a half says score fest. Can
- 33:03Speaker 2: they keep up? Give me the Cowboys, baby. Plus four
- 33:08Speaker 2: and a half alive dogs. We might have an underdog
- 33:12Speaker 2: parlay brewing right here, big boys.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Kentucky traveling to Norman. Again, you got OU coming in here,
- 33:20Speaker 1: not ranked, coming off of that massive game against Texas.
- 33:25Speaker 1: You got Kentucky, who won at home last week.
- 33:29Speaker 2: It's come off two massive games.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Two huge games, but one against LSU. And you got
- 33:33Speaker 1: to realize, for those of you that are new to this,
- 33:36Speaker 1: Kentucky doesn't beat LSU very often. Kentucky really doesn't beat
- 33:40Speaker 1: anybody that good very often. They win seven games. They
- 33:43Speaker 1: keep on moving down the road. Things are kind of
- 33:45Speaker 1: starting to look exciting for these guys. They're coming in here.
- 33:48Speaker 1: They're getting six and a half. OU offense has looked terrible.
- 33:55Speaker 1: And you've got to wonder what's going to go on.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Over under here is 43 and a half. I lean
- 34:00Speaker 1: to the under, but we'll see what's going to happen.
- 34:03Speaker 1: That's a low number. I'm going to take 43 and
- 34:06Speaker 1: a half and go under. I think OU's defense is
- 34:08Speaker 1: going to absolutely shut down Kentucky. All right. That defense
- 34:12Speaker 1: proved they could do it last week. I think they
- 34:15Speaker 1: do it again this week. I think you get a
- 34:17Speaker 1: lot more ground and pound from OU.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Me and you can shut down OU.
- 34:21Speaker 1: I think they scored this week.
- 34:25Speaker 2: That's all you got to do. That's all they got.
- 34:28Speaker 1: I think this game is.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Really low scoring. Really like this game. Plus, they're coming
- 34:32Speaker 2: off a huge week's I think they are going to
- 34:36Speaker 2: fight an ugly fight. They're going to be slinging mud.
- 34:39Speaker 2: I think this is a brutal game. 21-17, you know,
- 34:44Speaker 2: something like that. 24-17, 24, you know.
- 34:49Speaker 1: It'll be gross.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Which would be slightly over, but I think this is good. Now,
- 34:53Speaker 2: this is also, if you bet this on the under,
- 34:56Speaker 2: you're going to be sweating this shit out. Final whistle.
- 35:00Speaker 1: You're welcome to stand right next to me. I'll have
- 35:02Speaker 1: my ticket in my pocket. I'll tell you another game.
- 35:05Speaker 1: I don't have a play on it, but I probably
- 35:06Speaker 1: will on Saturday. Wisconsin plus two and a half traveling
- 35:09Speaker 1: to UCLA. Stinky, stinky dog in Wisconsin. I mean, this
- 35:14Speaker 1: is a team nobody's really paying attention to. UCLA just
- 35:18Speaker 1: won another big game on the road.
- 35:20Speaker 2: With their backup quarterback taking over.
- 35:22Speaker 1: With their backup quarterback taking over. Now they're at home
- 35:26Speaker 1: laying two and a half. I think Johnny Public is
- 35:30Speaker 1: going to line up and butt the Bruins like they
- 35:34Speaker 1: know the outcome of the game. But the fact that
- 35:37Speaker 1: the line hasn't hit three yet is a massive indicator
- 35:41Speaker 1: to me that the book knows something. I'm taking the
- 35:44Speaker 1: Badgers or I'm taking nothing. I'm just letting you know
- 35:46Speaker 1: right now. But anyway, you got to play there at all.
- 35:50Speaker 2: I told you there's some potential underdog parlays out there.
- 35:55Speaker 2: This might be one of them. I got one more game.
- 35:57Speaker 2: I like there's three more of the dogs. You know,
- 35:59Speaker 2: I like I like I mean, I think everybody knows
- 36:03Speaker 2: that there's a couple of things that I think are huge.
- 36:06Speaker 2: I'm going to take a flyer on one more huge number, too. So, anyway,
- 36:10Speaker 2: we'll talk underdog parlay shortly.
- 36:13Speaker 1: I'll give you my last play of the game. Give
- 36:14Speaker 1: me Jason Eck and the New Mexico Lobos playing Hawaii here.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Hawaii team's really banged up. Michael Elohato has not looked good.
- 36:23Speaker 1: They cannot run the ball whatsoever. They had no throw
- 36:25Speaker 1: the ball. Line stinks at 14 and a half. Nobody
- 36:28Speaker 1: wants to lay 14 and a half. Sure, you can
- 36:30Speaker 1: buy the hook. But this Hawaii team's travel schedule has
- 36:33Speaker 1: been fucking crazy. They've been back and forth to the
- 36:36Speaker 1: mainland twice in the last three weeks. And not easy
- 36:42Speaker 1: trips either. New Mexico coming off a bye, gets this one.
- 36:46Speaker 1: I think it rolls over there, takes care of business.
- 36:49Speaker 1: They're really physical, gets it done. Go ahead and give
- 36:53Speaker 1: me New Mexico's minus 14 and a half. That's my
- 36:56Speaker 1: last play. I have a weird feeling that you're going
- 36:59Speaker 1: to take me to the upper left corner of the country.
- 37:02Speaker 1: And you're going to want to talk to me about
- 37:03Speaker 1: the mighty Matt rule and corn matched up.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Yes. Give me plus seven. Give me plus seven live dog.
- 37:11Speaker 2: I'm telling you, this offense is a mess. They are
- 37:15Speaker 2: a mess at Oregon. And here comes his old team
- 37:20Speaker 2: and Dylan Ryola. And it's a guy who's not performed
- 37:24Speaker 2: well under pressure. And in big moments, and nothing's more
- 37:27Speaker 2: pressure than wanting to stick it up your ex-teammate's ass.
- 37:30Speaker 2: I am telling you this sets up for a train wreck.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Total train wreck. Because they're trying to figure out who
- 37:37Speaker 2: they are. Give me Nebraska plus seven. I think they're
- 37:41Speaker 2: a live dog. I'll give you one more huge number
- 37:44Speaker 2: I think is a live dog. Because I don't think
- 37:46Speaker 2: Texas Tech's very good on offense. I think Arizona State
- 37:49Speaker 2: plus 14 and a half is a great number. But
- 37:53Speaker 2: I think they may can win this game straight up.
- 37:56Speaker 2: All they need is a break or two. That's it.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Because Texas Tech can't score. They've not been able to score.
- 38:02Speaker 2: They're not good on the offensive side of the football.
- 38:05Speaker 2: At some point, I think their quarterback gets healthy and
- 38:07Speaker 2: they start getting better. But we hadn't seen it yet.
- 38:10Speaker 2: Got my eye on that. Man, you can pick some
- 38:12Speaker 2: of these underdog games. But, I mean, Cincy plus one
- 38:16Speaker 2: and a half, that's a live dog. But give me
- 38:19Speaker 2: Oklahoma State plus four and a half. Love them as
- 38:23Speaker 2: a dog. And give me whiskey, which we never talked about.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Plus two and a half at Ucla. It's the biggest
- 38:29Speaker 2: game Ucla's won in a decade. And there's a letdown coming.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Give me those two guys as underdog parlays.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Right there. We'll throw Nebraska in. $ 50 on a Moneyline
- 38:41Speaker 1: round robin. $ 50 paying out on that. We'll probably be
- 38:46Speaker 1: in for almost $ 450 on that one if we pull
- 38:49Speaker 1: that one off.
- 38:50Speaker 2: We're putting money on national champions every year. Like I said,
- 38:54Speaker 2: double down on Georgia. They'd get plenty of money. It's
- 38:57Speaker 2: why we didn't have to take them. That's the best
- 38:59Speaker 2: football team in the country. But Bama's good.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Bama's really good.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Bama's good. And they're going to be there at the end.
- 39:08Speaker 2: This is going to turn into Bama, Georgia, Ohio State,
- 39:13Speaker 2: and Notre Dame. That's my honest opinion. I think they're
- 39:15Speaker 2: four best teams in the country. Felt that way early.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Bama's my only surprise. They're my surprise.
- 39:22Speaker 1: I'll throw Miami in. Give me a Miami ticket.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Miami, I would agree with that. You're right. I'm leaving
- 39:27Speaker 2: out Miami, and that's a mistake because I think Mensah's great.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Those are the five best teams in the country.
- 39:32Speaker 1: I have five teams currently that I have put into
- 39:35Speaker 1: the playoffs. Mentally, I'm ready. I've got tickets on all
- 39:37Speaker 1: of them. I've got five teams I'm ready to go with.
- 39:40Speaker 1: I've got a couple that I want to bet. Don't
- 39:42Speaker 1: think I don't want me an Iowa ticket. I really
- 39:45Speaker 1: want an Iowa ticket.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Next week, we got a huge Iowa game brewing. Can't
- 39:51Speaker 2: wait to talk about that next week. I'm telling you, man,
- 39:55Speaker 2: that college football, while it is certainly not as traditional
- 40:04Speaker 2: as it's been, where teams had depth and you knew
- 40:08Speaker 2: who was good, talent is spread out everywhere. Teams can lose.
- 40:13Speaker 2: They can win. They can look like shit the next
- 40:16Speaker 2: week and then come out and play great the next week.
- 40:19Speaker 2: It's hard for them to string together multiple weeks and
- 40:22Speaker 2: play well because they don't have any depth. Guys start
- 40:25Speaker 2: getting hurt and they take a huge step back. It
- 40:28Speaker 2: is wild. And NIL has done all that. I don't
- 40:32Speaker 2: think it's the loyalty it used to be like. Cheering
- 40:36Speaker 2: your team on is not nearly as much fun as
- 40:38Speaker 2: it used to be because, hell, you don't know who
- 40:40Speaker 2: your team is. It's a whole new group of guys.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Let's go number nine.
- 40:44Speaker 2: As far as gambling and watching the sport and the
- 40:47Speaker 2: entertainment value, it is fabulous. Every Saturday, you get great games.
- 40:54Speaker 2: And if you don't have a bunch of TV packages
- 40:56Speaker 2: and you're not scrolling and watching three and four games
- 41:00Speaker 2: and you've got a TV on split screen, I mean, hell,
- 41:02Speaker 2: I have six games on a lot of times on
- 41:05Speaker 2: a split screen. I got two I'm watching on the
- 41:07Speaker 2: TV and then I have a third TV on split screen.
- 41:11Speaker 2: It is awesome. You see some great plays, some great games,
- 41:15Speaker 2: great performances, bonehead plays, stuff you're like, what is going on?
- 41:19Speaker 2: What is this kid doing? And you realize... these teams
- 41:24Speaker 2: just aren't nearly as good as they used to be.
- 41:27Speaker 1: No, that's what makes it fun though.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Those teams would crush all these teams.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 41:33Speaker 2: They would crush these guys, but this is the environment
- 41:35Speaker 2: we're in and it's more fun to watch on Saturday.
- 41:39Speaker 2: You got a chance a lot of weeks. It is
- 41:43Speaker 2: really cool. The depth is just simply not there. So
- 41:46Speaker 2: for all the negative with NIL and everything that goes on,
- 41:50Speaker 2: and I can lament a lot of things I would
- 41:51Speaker 2: like to change about college sports. Man, the quality. That's wrong.
- 41:56Speaker 2: The quality of the entertainment value is off the charts.
- 42:02Speaker 1: It's fantastic. Folks, we love you. Thank you for the downloads.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Thank you for the shares, the tweets, the comments, anything
- 42:08Speaker 1: you want to say. All feedback is fantastic. With that
- 42:12Speaker 1: being said, good luck to everybody, and we'll talk to
- 42:15Speaker 1: you next week.
