- 0:07Speaker 1: Yo, it's your girl, Jessica as Smith, and you already
- 0:10Speaker 1: know that you've entered the safe space for influencers to decompress,
- 0:14Speaker 1: have fun and just ask God for do you already
- 0:18Speaker 1: know what it is? And then you know it's about
- 0:21Speaker 1: to get real, So be sure to show your girl
- 0:24Speaker 1: the love and like coming subscribe God for another day.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Hey, hey, I know we could be another way.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yo, yo, yo, it's your girl Jessica as Smith, and
- 0:40Speaker 1: you have entered the safe space for I don't know,
- 0:45Speaker 1: I don't know, if I don't know if I can
- 0:47Speaker 1: say it anymore, I don't Why not, Jessica, because right
- 0:51Speaker 1: now there's a change, there's a change, But the one
- 0:58Speaker 1: thing that hasn't changed is that desert. That song ain't
- 1:07Speaker 1: going over. It's Thursday, It is Thursday. Happy to be
- 1:10Speaker 1: I'm so happy to be here? Are you? I'm so
- 1:14Speaker 1: happy to be here? I am animated? I am Why
- 1:20Speaker 1: are you? We are at our one hundredth and fiftieth episode.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Can you believe that? Babe? Listen, we started this journey
- 1:29Speaker 1: and you was on episode ten mm hmm, one hundred
- 1:35Speaker 1: and forty episodes later. Man, Jesus, Jesus, you've been riding
- 1:40Speaker 1: long way, the strong way, long long time. But God
- 1:45Speaker 1: has been good and it's been time for a change.
- 1:48Speaker 1: If you had didn't see it, Uh, there's a new logo,
- 1:52Speaker 1: there is. Uh, it's not a new sound. We kept
- 1:57Speaker 1: the sound shout out to my cousin YB chosen, Thank
- 2:00Speaker 1: God for another day, dude. But the graphics shout out
- 2:06Speaker 1: to the goat himself, Marshall Fox. Okay, he supplied us
- 2:13Speaker 1: with our look, our new look of our rebrand. You
- 2:17Speaker 1: see all that, even our language is being redefined. And
- 2:21Speaker 1: so we have been going through a rebranding season and
- 2:26Speaker 1: we're super excited to let y'all see it now. It
- 2:30Speaker 1: was very challenging for me, and I'm having a hard
- 2:32Speaker 1: time why a change change, Because the way I looked
- 2:37Speaker 1: at rebranding is the fact that I felt like I
- 2:42Speaker 1: was losing something, like I was losing myself and like
- 2:49Speaker 1: the language that I had before. I was like, well,
- 2:51Speaker 1: maybe it doesn't make sense. I was like, it's gonna
- 2:53Speaker 1: change the whole outlook of the platform, not necessarily even
- 3:00Speaker 1: with Marshall. Now, Marshall, I didn't know. I knew it
- 3:04Speaker 1: was gonna be great, but I didn't know the process
- 3:06Speaker 1: was gonna be as intense as it was. But then
- 3:09Speaker 1: also when he started giving me options of change, it
- 3:14Speaker 1: was like, oh my gosh, I'm actually doing this, Like
- 3:18Speaker 1: I'm actually rebranding this and being very specific and oh
- 3:25Speaker 1: my gosh, the logo that I created to start this
- 3:29Speaker 1: thing is not going to be the logo anymore, and
- 3:32Speaker 1: out with the old and with a new, and like
- 3:35Speaker 1: it's just it was like I was going through a process.
- 3:38Speaker 1: It's so interesting because you probably know me by now,
- 3:42Speaker 1: there's you know when I say certain things, some things
- 3:45Speaker 1: I won't say, but I knew that I didn't know
- 3:48Speaker 1: to the extent. I just knew that it was like, Okay,
- 3:52Speaker 1: this is something that she's gonna have to even though
- 3:55Speaker 1: we're in partnership, right, Yeah, I knew this was gonna
- 3:57Speaker 1: be a process that was more so for Jessica then
- 4:01Speaker 1: for the platform as a whole. Yeah, And so when
- 4:04Speaker 1: things were coming through, she was like, you see this,
- 4:06Speaker 1: what you think about this? I was like, I think
- 4:07Speaker 1: it's great, because at the end of the day, I
- 4:09Speaker 1: wanted I wanted it to be I wanted you to
- 4:13Speaker 1: know that what you were choosing was okay, and that's
- 4:17Speaker 1: what God wanted it to be like, it's not like
- 4:20Speaker 1: it wasn't hey, I'm losing a thing. It's no, we're upgrading,
- 4:24Speaker 1: and that is right. But even in that, like the
- 4:28Speaker 1: old idea of rebranding, it was like something was Sometimes
- 4:33Speaker 1: you can go in there and look like it was
- 4:34Speaker 1: something was wrong. But I also understand that I'm learning
- 4:41Speaker 1: in this season that God is not just rebranding the podcast.
- 4:44Speaker 1: God is rebranding me. And what that looks like is
- 4:49Speaker 1: he posed a question for me, would God present me
- 4:52Speaker 1: in the way I'm presenting myself right now? That so
- 5:00Speaker 1: y'all that question, would God present you the way that
- 5:03Speaker 1: you're presenting yourself? And that's how you know it's time
- 5:06Speaker 1: for a rebrand, Like I had to, like the scripture
- 5:11Speaker 1: we're going to get in today to support this idea
- 5:14Speaker 1: is like so phenomenal because I never looked at it
- 5:17Speaker 1: like this. But even as because I don't want to
- 5:20Speaker 1: dismiss what just what didn't happen, I did not say
- 5:23Speaker 1: that this was a safe space for influences to decompress,
- 5:26Speaker 1: have fun and just ask because of the brand, and
- 5:30Speaker 1: when rebranding, you have to make sure that you have
- 5:33Speaker 1: the proper language. And if I'm honest, I don't know
- 5:37Speaker 1: if I found the proper language. I know something. I
- 5:41Speaker 1: know the part where I shared with you guys last
- 5:44Speaker 1: week at we talked to talk to people right, We
- 5:48Speaker 1: deal with people that well when we post a question,
- 5:55Speaker 1: does God trust us? Right? I want this to be
- 5:59Speaker 1: a safe space for people in search of God trusting them. Right?
- 6:04Speaker 1: How do you eloquently put that? I don't know, because
- 6:09Speaker 1: you're taught in this world, especially with me being a
- 6:12Speaker 1: morning meetup member, will now a Social Proof Circle member.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It's they tell us our X y Z statement, you know,
- 6:22Speaker 1: to have a target, so people go, I'll just be
- 6:25Speaker 1: honest with y'all. This is a moment honesty I'm talking about.
- 6:29Speaker 1: George told me that I needed to target, like say,
- 6:33Speaker 1: it's women. But I'm like, and I told Dave this,
- 6:38Speaker 1: I don't think I talked to you about this. So
- 6:40Speaker 1: I talked to Dave about it and I said, well,
- 6:42Speaker 1: the analytics are telling me that this that I need
- 6:46Speaker 1: to like verbally target women. And I was like, of course,
- 6:50Speaker 1: naturally I was uncomfortable with that, but I was like, okay, lord,
- 6:53Speaker 1: if this is what I'm gonna do, this is what
- 6:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna say. But I was also not comfortable with
- 6:57Speaker 1: the fact that I was targeting women because I know
- 7:01Speaker 1: men watch this too, but also I helped men on
- 7:05Speaker 1: the in the background, Like there are more men that
- 7:08Speaker 1: I help in a podcast in field than it is
- 7:12Speaker 1: that I do women. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 7:14Speaker 1: so I know I'm not just called women, but I
- 7:18Speaker 1: know spiritually developing women. Yes, that's a that's a target
- 7:22Speaker 1: in that area, but maybe not the podcasting world. So
- 7:25Speaker 1: I was talking to Dave about it on one of
- 7:27Speaker 1: the Q and A days and he told me I
- 7:29Speaker 1: was overthinking it. He told me I was overthinking it,
- 7:33Speaker 1: and he told me no, like that wasn't a good
- 7:36Speaker 1: enough answer or reason for me to target with women
- 7:39Speaker 1: because of my analytics. So I was just like, and
- 7:42Speaker 1: maybe he didn't say it, just like that, so don't
- 7:44Speaker 1: quote me on that. But that was the synopsis that
- 7:47Speaker 1: I got, Like I need to go back to the
- 7:49Speaker 1: drawing board, like, but I do need to know, like, okay,
- 7:51Speaker 1: is it believers. I know they're believers, but okay, but
- 7:54Speaker 1: I also talked to nun believers Like this whole appreciating
- 8:00Speaker 1: the evolution of Jessica is being is interesting. It's interesting.
- 8:05Speaker 1: What do you think I think it's almost kind of
- 8:08Speaker 1: when you when you when you step into like the
- 8:11Speaker 1: the branding and marketing space, when they be like when
- 8:13Speaker 1: they talk, hey, what's your avatar? You know, like who
- 8:15Speaker 1: are you targeting? That kind of thing, And I think
- 8:18Speaker 1: sometimes we don't want to say, oh, it's this person
- 8:21Speaker 1: because we feel like it's going to exclude everybody else.
- 8:23Speaker 1: But I do feel like whatever that is for you,
- 8:26Speaker 1: what whoever that person is, it just it gives a specificity,
- 8:32Speaker 1: specificity of it makes it more specific for that person, specalificity,
- 8:38Speaker 1: whatever that is, specificity, speecics, doll. It makes it more
- 8:51Speaker 1: specific for that person. Okay. But what that does also
- 8:56Speaker 1: with that, it does not mean that, hey, branding can
- 9:00Speaker 1: receive from the information, you know what I'm saying. It
- 9:02Speaker 1: doesn't mean that, oh, because it's a black female that
- 9:06Speaker 1: Sally can't receive from that information, like that Sally, Rachel,
- 9:11Speaker 1: you know, Bickie whatever, can't receive from the information. It's just, Hey,
- 9:16Speaker 1: I know that this person right here, the message I
- 9:19Speaker 1: have is specifically for her, But that doesn't mean anybody
- 9:21Speaker 1: else can't receive from that. Well. Dave's rebuttal to that
- 9:25Speaker 1: was that if I let's say I don't open up
- 9:28Speaker 1: like something like I've been opened up with this is
- 9:32Speaker 1: a safe space with influences degal resident But it just
- 9:34Speaker 1: as right with my podcast opener. If let's say I
- 9:38Speaker 1: don't do that, because there are plenty of podcasts that don't.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Dave doesn't do that, but we know that he's targeted
- 9:42Speaker 1: entrepreneurs because he brings entrepreneurs on, right, he has language
- 9:46Speaker 1: for entrepreneurs. I'm trying to, like, I know when I
- 9:51Speaker 1: when I think about my avatar or whatever who I
- 9:53Speaker 1: helped tip, I think about a woman, right, I think
- 9:56Speaker 1: about a woman in the between the ages of twenty
- 10:00Speaker 1: five and forty four, right, that because I can relate
- 10:04Speaker 1: to that woman, like I can talk to that. I
- 10:07Speaker 1: got language for that woman, right, And typically that woman
- 10:10Speaker 1: is older than me, so I can't really just say that.
- 10:13Speaker 1: But there's married women, there's you know, single women, there
- 10:18Speaker 1: are mothers that it goes, it goes into all these things.
- 10:22Speaker 1: So I'm like, but I carry a language for a
- 10:25Speaker 1: specific people. I know it's very specific because there's a
- 10:30Speaker 1: specific type of people that come to me and they're hungry,
- 10:33Speaker 1: like it's a different level of hunger, Like they're beyond
- 10:36Speaker 1: the basic thing, they're ready for the next level. What
- 10:39Speaker 1: do I identify those people at? Like ass you know,
- 10:42Speaker 1: so that's what I'm like, okay in this podcasting game
- 10:46Speaker 1: and not being so hyper spiritual, but being practical enough
- 10:50Speaker 1: that people understand, oh, this is for me, because that's
- 10:53Speaker 1: what they would tell you. Your people got to know
- 10:55Speaker 1: that you're talking to them, this is the space for them, right.
- 10:58Speaker 1: That's why Omar using Omar as example, he knows people
- 11:05Speaker 1: like people the creators, business owners that need help with
- 11:08Speaker 1: content creation. That's his that's his people. But he doesn't
- 11:12Speaker 1: go on and start saying yo yo yo. Of course
- 11:16Speaker 1: he would never say yo yo yo, but he doesn't
- 11:19Speaker 1: introduce the podcast like that. So I'm also thinking about,
- 11:24Speaker 1: you know, letting it be what it is, like just yo,
- 11:27Speaker 1: it's you know, it's your girl, Jessica and Smith and
- 11:28Speaker 1: you have entered the safe space. So you say, so
- 11:33Speaker 1: are they not influencers? Yeah? But you know George was
- 11:38Speaker 1: talking about are they not influencers? Yes? And yes? And
- 11:44Speaker 1: George challenged me on that, saying that he questioned me
- 11:53Speaker 1: on am I doing providing language for the influencer? Like
- 11:59Speaker 1: am I providing language for an insponcer? Or am I
- 12:01Speaker 1: providing language? George thinks I should go with women. Am
- 12:05Speaker 1: I providing language for women? So it's I've been rediscovered.
- 12:11Speaker 1: But the thing is, I'm proud of myself because I'm
- 12:13Speaker 1: open to what that looks like with that sounds like,
- 12:17Speaker 1: I think it's a beautiful thing to watch because I'm
- 12:18Speaker 1: not the same Jusica one hundred and fifty, I mean,
- 12:21Speaker 1: one hundred and forty nine episodes, go, It's not this
- 12:25Speaker 1: is true. I'm not the first episode, Jessica. I'm not
- 12:30Speaker 1: even the hundredth episode, Jessica. The one hundredth episode, Jessica
- 12:34Speaker 1: was still going through something. Shout up, Misstail, we love you, Missay,
- 12:38Speaker 1: appreciate you. That was a good episode. But yeah, so
- 12:43Speaker 1: the LAWD has been dealing with me on the being
- 12:46Speaker 1: open with the rebranding and taking myself to the next level,
- 12:50Speaker 1: allowing myself to go there. Yeah, and I think it's
- 12:53Speaker 1: I think what's really dope about it is you made
- 12:56Speaker 1: a decision to take yourself and what the Lord has
- 12:59Speaker 1: given you seriously. Yeah, so you can be more open
- 13:02Speaker 1: to this journey now because honestly, like I knew this
- 13:05Speaker 1: early on with the as you were like getting information
- 13:08Speaker 1: about podcasts and things like that. I said, I always
- 13:11Speaker 1: know it's it's always typically the thing that your call
- 13:14Speaker 1: to do is and most of the time to start
- 13:15Speaker 1: with you, right, So just to watch you evolve and
- 13:19Speaker 1: let go of some things and learn some things, go deeper.
- 13:21Speaker 1: And now we're here at a at a at a
- 13:23Speaker 1: full rebrand. I think it's kind of dope. I'm excited.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I'm excited to look like I mean, I know what
- 13:29Speaker 1: the what the rebrand looks like, but I'm talking about
- 13:31Speaker 1: the fruit from the thing, yeah, and navigating through that.
- 13:34Speaker 1: But I also want to want people to know like
- 13:37Speaker 1: there's an opportunity for to not lean on having all
- 13:42Speaker 1: of it figured out. Just shit, I know people do
- 13:45Speaker 1: different things like desil Rain is a type where all
- 13:48Speaker 1: the systems got to be figured out. Everything has to
- 13:51Speaker 1: be panned out now certain certain areas. Yes, everything pretty
- 13:57Speaker 1: much has to be figured out and laid out and
- 14:00Speaker 1: play mapped out loosely. I'm the I'm the one that'll
- 14:03Speaker 1: go this idea, let's execute it like so we help
- 14:09Speaker 1: you help each other balance. It's like rein it in
- 14:12Speaker 1: Jessica before before you go do it. And that's a
- 14:17Speaker 1: lot of reason why I bounced uff off deserrat because
- 14:19Speaker 1: I know if it's not time to leap our hole
- 14:23Speaker 1: our even like I I'll hold myself until it's time
- 14:27Speaker 1: to go. But it's been a couple of times. So
- 14:29Speaker 1: she was like, go ye, Like what if I say
- 14:32Speaker 1: if she's like, why you ain't doing it today? So
- 14:34Speaker 1: I know then I'm like, oh, okay, this is something
- 14:36Speaker 1: I just need to go go edit. And so I
- 14:39Speaker 1: was asking God. I was like, how I said, I
- 14:41Speaker 1: feel like I want you you want I want you
- 14:43Speaker 1: to He wants us to be like open about this
- 14:48Speaker 1: rebranding process and how it's being But of course, always
- 14:51Speaker 1: if the Lord wants to do something, he always shows
- 14:54Speaker 1: you in scripture. And I love the way the Lord
- 14:56Speaker 1: talks to me in scripture, Baby, I love I love
- 14:58Speaker 1: the way. So shout out my sister Kendall. She kept
- 15:01Speaker 1: hearing Esther not too long ago, and I never consider
- 15:05Speaker 1: going back to reading Esther or whatever. But I'm currently
- 15:09Speaker 1: studying this as we're recording today, I'm currently studying this.
- 15:14Speaker 1: And so today the Lord sent me back to back
- 15:19Speaker 1: to the fourth chapter of Esther and I'm just gonna read.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I'm just gonna kind of give us a synopsis of
- 15:26Speaker 1: what's going on in this fourth chapter. So Esther has
- 15:29Speaker 1: been made in the previous chapter. In chapter three, Esther
- 15:32Speaker 1: has been made well. No, in chapter two, Esther was
- 15:36Speaker 1: made queen. And then in chapter three Hayman is given
- 15:41Speaker 1: his his authority and trusted by the king to do
- 15:45Speaker 1: whatever to manage the Jews. In so many words, he
- 15:49Speaker 1: wanted to manage Jews. He was out for the Jews
- 15:51Speaker 1: x y Z. And so now Mordecai, who is Esther's cousin,
- 15:58Speaker 1: he presents himself in sack, costs and ashes, and he's
- 16:03Speaker 1: only so he's only able to go so far to
- 16:06Speaker 1: the gate because they don't there's a law against being
- 16:10Speaker 1: able to be seen in sorrow. That's a whole nother thing.
- 16:15Speaker 1: That's a whole nother thing. There's a law against being
- 16:18Speaker 1: seen in sorrow, so a mourning. And so he's in
- 16:21Speaker 1: these sack cloths and ashes, as other Jews are, but
- 16:25Speaker 1: he's the one that's actually, you know, going towards the
- 16:28Speaker 1: gate and he's being seen. And word gets back to Esther,
- 16:32Speaker 1: and so Esther is like, hey, go tell. He's like,
- 16:35Speaker 1: go ask him, why did you tell? Did you say? Why?
- 16:37Speaker 1: He was like that. Why he was mourning. He was
- 16:40Speaker 1: mourning because Hayman was after the Jews, right, there was
- 16:43Speaker 1: a decree. It was a decree made against the Jews.
- 16:47Speaker 1: And so he's mourning this because Hayman really out to
- 16:51Speaker 1: kill the Jews, right, And so he's mourning this and
- 16:54Speaker 1: Esther sin's word, and I ain't gonna lie, I said, Lord,
- 16:59Speaker 1: I got a word about the middleman, because the whole
- 17:01Speaker 1: time the communication only happened because somebody was in the middle.
- 17:04Speaker 1: But that's another word for another day. So the middle
- 17:07Speaker 1: man hits her unuch, right or was it the King's unit?
- 17:12Speaker 1: I think it was. It might have been the King's
- 17:13Speaker 1: unit oneted the two, but the unit was somebody assigned
- 17:15Speaker 1: to her. Though it was somebody assigned to her. Yeah,
- 17:18Speaker 1: So the unit went back and forth as a messenger,
- 17:20Speaker 1: delivering these messages. So when I say, Esther told Mordecai
- 17:23Speaker 1: and Mordecai, so Esther it was through the unit, right.
- 17:26Speaker 1: And so Esther tries to figure out why, why is
- 17:30Speaker 1: the Why is Mordecai morning like this? Why is it?
- 17:35Speaker 1: Why is Mordecai and ashes and sackcloth? So Mordecai tells
- 17:38Speaker 1: her what's going on as far as Hayman, and which
- 17:43Speaker 1: she started to fear because now she remembers that she's
- 17:46Speaker 1: a Jew. She remembers she she knows that she's a Jew,
- 17:50Speaker 1: but she's not. It's a secret between her and Mordecai, right,
- 17:54Speaker 1: And so they're going back and forth, and basically Ester's like, no,
- 18:00Speaker 1: fear comes upon her, like no, He's requested that she
- 18:03Speaker 1: goes talk to the king and tell him what's going on.
- 18:05Speaker 1: She says, no, do you understand that there's a law,
- 18:08Speaker 1: there's another decree out there to say you would die
- 18:12Speaker 1: if you try to go talking to the king without
- 18:14Speaker 1: being some, without being some and right. And so he
- 18:18Speaker 1: was like, he goes down. And in thirteen I tried
- 18:23Speaker 1: to catch it up because I ain't want to read
- 18:25Speaker 1: that all that to y'all. But in verse thirteen or
- 18:27Speaker 1: four Esther four or thirteen, it says Mordecai told the
- 18:32Speaker 1: messengers to reply to Esther, don't think that you will
- 18:37Speaker 1: escape the fate of all the Jews because you are
- 18:39Speaker 1: in the king's palace. Fourteen says if you keep silent
- 18:43Speaker 1: at this time, relief and deliverance will come to the
- 18:47Speaker 1: Jewish people from another place. But you and your father's
- 18:52Speaker 1: family will be destroyed. Who knows. Perhaps you have come
- 18:57Speaker 1: to your royal position for such a time as this. Okay,
- 19:03Speaker 1: a lot of people use that reference of Mordoca saying
- 19:08Speaker 1: you have come here for a time such as this,
- 19:10Speaker 1: as you know, like just reminding people of who they are.
- 19:13Speaker 1: And so I was like, God, why are you sending
- 19:15Speaker 1: why are you sending me to Esther to connect with rebranding. Well,
- 19:21Speaker 1: if you understand the process of Esther, if you go
- 19:23Speaker 1: back the first few chapters, you understand that Esther was
- 19:28Speaker 1: in a beauty program. Id say, in a beauty program.
- 19:32Speaker 1: She was un a beauty intensive and she could not
- 19:36Speaker 1: come as the Esther as she once was. So her
- 19:41Speaker 1: rebranding process started in secret, but the exposure came when
- 19:49Speaker 1: there was an opportunity where that was suffering as we
- 19:53Speaker 1: as we called it, there was an opportunity for her
- 19:57Speaker 1: to show what has been rebranded, and so in that
- 20:02Speaker 1: the Lord was showing me for one Mordecai. Mortdecai is saying, hey,
- 20:09Speaker 1: your what happened for your good is not just for you,
- 20:14Speaker 1: and you can't lose your core in it. It says
- 20:18Speaker 1: right here, it says, don't you think that they don't
- 20:21Speaker 1: think that you escape the faith of all Jews. Why
- 20:24Speaker 1: because she was what she was, a Jew, a Jew.
- 20:27Speaker 1: So just because it's almost like when people say, don't
- 20:32Speaker 1: forget where you came from, type my mentality, like, don't
- 20:35Speaker 1: think that this, don't disrupt your your situation, don't think this,
- 20:39Speaker 1: don't disrupt what you got going on. The reason why
- 20:42Speaker 1: the Lord has you in this space is because the
- 20:46Speaker 1: core of you is going to revitalize our nation. It's
- 20:50Speaker 1: going to re establish a nation. So when we think
- 20:53Speaker 1: about rebranding, we have to ask God, Okay, not only
- 20:58Speaker 1: am I with God present me in this way? Of
- 21:01Speaker 1: would God present me in the way I am presenting myself?
- 21:06Speaker 1: But is it time for me to present myself in
- 21:09Speaker 1: this way? Right? Because there was a time for Esther.
- 21:13Speaker 1: He didn't ask us to go to the king any
- 21:15Speaker 1: other time, but for the time it was needed. So
- 21:19Speaker 1: now that you've prepared, we can't rebrand anything that wasn't branded.
- 21:26Speaker 1: We can't re means to do again right, And so
- 21:30Speaker 1: we can't rebrand anything. Just ass cannot be rebranded. It
- 21:34Speaker 1: cannot have a new look, it cannot have a new sound,
- 21:37Speaker 1: it cannot have any of that without having the core
- 21:41Speaker 1: and intact right. And a part of Esther's core was
- 21:45Speaker 1: that she was a Jew. She could not change that
- 21:48Speaker 1: she was a Jew her DNA. If they tested the blood,
- 21:52Speaker 1: it's gonna go back to what Jews right. Her beautification,
- 21:56Speaker 1: how it was dressed up was the rebrand So I
- 22:00Speaker 1: think that the fear that some of us have with
- 22:04Speaker 1: rebranding is that there's a disruption with who we are. No,
- 22:09Speaker 1: as Desiree said earlier, there's an elevation to who we are.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Because watch this, Desiree, I'm gonna say this, and it's
- 22:18Speaker 1: gonna bless me and you again. I heard the Lord say,
- 22:22Speaker 1: God is not rebranding you to alter the core of you,
- 22:25Speaker 1: but so that you can get into the King's palace.
- 22:32Speaker 1: God is not rebranding you to alter the core of you,
- 22:36Speaker 1: but for you to get into the King's palace. If
- 22:40Speaker 1: Esther was never rebranded with her you self, well you self,
- 22:51Speaker 1: that would have closed the door on her opportunity to
- 22:55Speaker 1: enter into a new territory that was forbidden unless summon right.
- 23:03Speaker 1: She want to have the tactics, nor the class, nor
- 23:08Speaker 1: the access the rebranding, watch this just just as is
- 23:13Speaker 1: gonna get access now to things that I don't I'm
- 23:16Speaker 1: not even sure about, but he showed me that. He's like, hey,
- 23:18Speaker 1: you don't forget that you're a Christian. Don't forget that
- 23:22Speaker 1: you're a believer. And because that we we understand this
- 23:26Speaker 1: to be our core, that our faith. I don't care
- 23:29Speaker 1: who we call to. Faith gonna be a part of Okay,
- 23:32Speaker 1: faith is gonna be a part of it. Will He'll
- 23:34Speaker 1: give us elevated language for the rooms that we're entering in.
- 23:38Speaker 1: But this, this rebranding shows people like, oh, she real serious,
- 23:43Speaker 1: Like y'all thought I was serious before this rebranding. For one,
- 23:47Speaker 1: it had a budget to this is the most I've
- 23:49Speaker 1: spect on, just asked. Definitely had a budget. And and
- 23:55Speaker 1: watch this, we're not we're not monetized for real yet
- 24:00Speaker 1: we're monetized, but we're not bringing a lot of income
- 24:02Speaker 1: as other amazing podcasters are right now. And I think
- 24:08Speaker 1: that once you put yourself in the mind said it
- 24:12Speaker 1: was like, this is God's business, He'll make room for
- 24:14Speaker 1: when it's time. Because could I rebranded at one hundred episodes,
- 24:18Speaker 1: I probably could have. Could I really branded at fifty episodes?
- 24:22Speaker 1: I did something. We had a new something, you know,
- 24:24Speaker 1: what I'm saying, something was new. But I think that
- 24:28Speaker 1: remembering that God uses the core of us and dresses
- 24:32Speaker 1: it up different for the time, for the timing, and
- 24:35Speaker 1: he uses that as an advantage for not only yourself,
- 24:38Speaker 1: but the people that you're connected to, even the people
- 24:41Speaker 1: that you might not know. We have to manage to
- 24:43Speaker 1: do it that will. I thought that was really dope.
- 24:46Speaker 1: The dope thing about what happened is if you understand
- 24:51Speaker 1: a decree, a decree is when the king sets out
- 24:55Speaker 1: a decree that is law, you know what I'm saying.
- 24:58Speaker 1: So to be in a position where you have the
- 25:03Speaker 1: access to go in into change a decree is powerful.
- 25:07Speaker 1: So that's what So when he says you were you were,
- 25:10Speaker 1: you were created for such a time as this, this
- 25:13Speaker 1: is the time, like literally like this time right here.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Like yes, you could have, like we said, fifty episodes ago,
- 25:20Speaker 1: one hundred episodes ago, we could have done that, But
- 25:23Speaker 1: there's a there's a Cairo's time in the Lord and
- 25:26Speaker 1: in that appointed that's an appointed time. That time right
- 25:29Speaker 1: there is what he's already sat on the calendar. So
- 25:31Speaker 1: that's why the obedience is important, like to as we
- 25:34Speaker 1: journey along, That's why the obedience is supported because that
- 25:36Speaker 1: time right there was waiting for her to step into obedience.
- 25:40Speaker 1: I love that if fourteen says, if you keep silent
- 25:44Speaker 1: at this time, relief and deliverance will will come to
- 25:48Speaker 1: the Jewish people. So that means that even if you
- 25:52Speaker 1: don't do what you need to do right now, the
- 25:54Speaker 1: Lord still will deliver us. But he's gonna use someone else,
- 25:57Speaker 1: and he's gonna punish you for not being obedient. Some
- 26:02Speaker 1: of us are stuck in the old brands because we're
- 26:05Speaker 1: afraid of losing something. Some of us have have fought
- 26:10Speaker 1: the idea of elevation because it requires change. Yeah, that's
- 26:14Speaker 1: exactly what I was thinking about. The you know, as
- 26:18Speaker 1: you as you journey and you go from let me
- 26:20Speaker 1: say glory, Yeah, but when you elevate, it's a different weight,
- 26:23Speaker 1: it's a different responsibility from when you were down here.
- 26:26Speaker 1: And I can say for myself, I've hesitated or been
- 26:29Speaker 1: stuck in a space because of the fear of the elevation,
- 26:33Speaker 1: because of what was gonna be required for you know
- 26:35Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like it requires as she went through
- 26:38Speaker 1: that process, once she got into the palace, it required
- 26:40Speaker 1: more of her. Yeah, you know, what I'm saying. So,
- 26:43Speaker 1: but it's it's not something that that she couldn't handle.
- 26:47Speaker 1: It's not something that she didn't have the wisdom and
- 26:50Speaker 1: the knowledge to be able to do. She knew like, oh,
- 26:52Speaker 1: if I go ahead, you're gonna chop my head off, right,
- 26:53Speaker 1: But hey, y'all, let me tell you what we do.
- 26:55Speaker 1: She's what she tells them to do. She said, hey,
- 26:57Speaker 1: we're gonna fast. We're gonna fast, and then one as
- 27:00Speaker 1: fast as over, I'm gonna go in there. Yeah, it
- 27:02Speaker 1: was strategy. It was only it was only because she
- 27:05Speaker 1: had been obedient and that she knew what she was
- 27:09Speaker 1: what she was supposed to have been. That's so good.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I think that navigating that, And like you said, strategy,
- 27:15Speaker 1: strategy is always important. Strategy what the thing is. Strategy
- 27:20Speaker 1: has specifics. When she said, hey, we're gonna it, says
- 27:24Speaker 1: hold On the reply from Esther Woods. Esther sent the
- 27:28Speaker 1: reply to Mordecai, go and assemble all the Jews who
- 27:31Speaker 1: can be found in Suso and fast for me. Don't
- 27:35Speaker 1: eat or drink for three days night or day. I
- 27:39Speaker 1: am I I am a female, and my female servants
- 27:43Speaker 1: were also fast in that same way. After that I
- 27:46Speaker 1: will go to the king, and if it's a get
- 27:49Speaker 1: well after that, I will go to the king, even
- 27:53Speaker 1: if it is against the law. If I perish, I perished.
- 27:57Speaker 1: So Mordecai went and did everything Esther had commanded him
- 28:01Speaker 1: to do right. So in that they made before they
- 28:07Speaker 1: acted upon, this is where desiree would come in. This
- 28:10Speaker 1: would be my DESI rae okay, because Mordecott was like,
- 28:12Speaker 1: just go up there. I'm Mortercott, just go up there,
- 28:16Speaker 1: because this ain't gonna work. But desilt rays Esther says,
- 28:23Speaker 1: we're gonna wait three days, and in the three days,
- 28:26Speaker 1: we're gonna do something that activates the solution. Strategy. Strategy
- 28:34Speaker 1: activates solution Why are we bringing this up? Rebranding require strategy.
- 28:40Speaker 1: We've been had this new logo. But instead of me
- 28:43Speaker 1: being hyper focused on oh my gosh, we got a
- 28:48Speaker 1: new logo, just put it out. No, no, no, no, just
- 28:50Speaker 1: go bring it back, bring it back. She ain't have
- 28:53Speaker 1: to do me like this six times. Yeah, bring it back.
- 28:56Speaker 1: We need to align with the logo to align with
- 28:59Speaker 1: what we're about to dudes, were to align with what
- 29:01Speaker 1: we have, we have to package it right. We have
- 29:04Speaker 1: to put it out at the right time it needs to.
- 29:07Speaker 1: We need to ask ourselves these questions, what does this
- 29:09Speaker 1: look like now we have a new look, What does
- 29:12Speaker 1: it sound like now we have a new sound, What
- 29:15Speaker 1: is the language to that sound like? What are we
- 29:18Speaker 1: keeping and what are we leaving behind? And sometimes that
- 29:25Speaker 1: is a very uncomfortable place to be in in a
- 29:29Speaker 1: rebranding stage. But if we never rebrand, we never evolve.
- 29:34Speaker 1: So I'm curious what what made what gave you the
- 29:40Speaker 1: the unction or the idea or the feeling that it
- 29:43Speaker 1: was time to rebrand? Like? What made you know that
- 29:46Speaker 1: it was time? Honestly, I knew eventually it was coming
- 29:56Speaker 1: because I needed to do some some I have to
- 30:02Speaker 1: be careful what I'm saying right now. I had to
- 30:05Speaker 1: handle some business on the back end. And in order
- 30:08Speaker 1: to handle that business, I had to have someone that
- 30:12Speaker 1: had access to and the and the language and vision
- 30:16Speaker 1: that could build a look that had legacy. And I
- 30:24Speaker 1: know my strengths and I know my weaknesses, and I
- 30:26Speaker 1: knew it was time for us because this logo, this
- 30:32Speaker 1: logo is timeless. That was one of my requirements. I said,
- 30:36Speaker 1: I wanted to look like a Coca Cola or a
- 30:39Speaker 1: McDonald I need. I need to have just an effortless,
- 30:42Speaker 1: timeless logo that can work for any season that I'm in.
- 30:46Speaker 1: So now I honestly don't believe that that my logo
- 30:50Speaker 1: gonna have to change like I did it intentionally, not
- 30:54Speaker 1: because I was trying to be cheap, but because it
- 30:57Speaker 1: only makes sense to tweak the certain things. But it
- 31:01Speaker 1: only makes sense because I'm in this for a moment,
- 31:06Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Like I'm gonna have just
- 31:07Speaker 1: asked for a while until the Lord say be done
- 31:11Speaker 1: with it, you know, And that logo is gonna go
- 31:14Speaker 1: with me, That brand is gonna go with me. And
- 31:16Speaker 1: so when we go on stages or when we have
- 31:19Speaker 1: these big events, we're already prepared for the wha the
- 31:23Speaker 1: Lord is taking us. And so I really feel the
- 31:26Speaker 1: weight of expansion. Wow, I really feel the weight of
- 31:31Speaker 1: expansion on what we have here to where now it
- 31:36Speaker 1: looks like what God is trying to promote. Was it
- 31:41Speaker 1: hard to allow somebody else to do that? I don't.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I don't think it was hard for me because I
- 31:48Speaker 1: trust Marshall. I was nervous. I was nervous because Marshall
- 31:53Speaker 1: is the go y'all. If y'all just understand it. Ben't
- 31:57Speaker 1: know what he's doing. You know, he's responsible for Social
- 32:01Speaker 1: Poodle podcasts, He's responsible for all of Eric Thomas the
- 32:06Speaker 1: hip hop Preacher. He's responsible for his brand and branding
- 32:09Speaker 1: and what that looks like. He's responsible for e cam,
- 32:13Speaker 1: the branded for e cam, y'all, Wicks dot com. The dude.
- 32:19Speaker 1: The dude is like an ambassador or something like that,
- 32:22Speaker 1: like Marshall Fox is that guy. And I was more
- 32:27Speaker 1: nervous because I wanted to make sure I was a
- 32:30Speaker 1: good client to him, and I didn't want to get
- 32:33Speaker 1: on his nerves. But really he enjoyed the feedback, Like,
- 32:39Speaker 1: he really enjoyed the feedback. And so I told him afterwards,
- 32:43Speaker 1: I see why this cost so much. I see why
- 32:46Speaker 1: because you're really particular about making sure people have what
- 32:50Speaker 1: they want. I'm completely satisfied, completely satisfied. So I was
- 32:54Speaker 1: more so nervous about me than him. I was wanting
- 32:57Speaker 1: to make sure that I wouldn't get on his nerves.
- 33:00Speaker 1: So knew that he wouldn't want me to settle either,
- 33:02Speaker 1: and so he's he's just excited as we were, like,
- 33:10Speaker 1: so I'm really excited about this, about this evolution, about
- 33:16Speaker 1: this change because I had I did. I invested in
- 33:20Speaker 1: the right person. I did, I did my research. I
- 33:22Speaker 1: want to. I don't think I would have been comfortable
- 33:24Speaker 1: or trusted someone else to do that he did. He did.
- 33:30Speaker 1: What was it like for you to navigate through this
- 33:33Speaker 1: process even though it was mine to go through? I
- 33:37Speaker 1: think kind of like you said, the just watching the
- 33:39Speaker 1: level of excellence and and the level of excellence even
- 33:46Speaker 1: with like from a customer service standpoint, you know what
- 33:49Speaker 1: I'm saying. He could have been easy, like I had
- 33:53Speaker 1: we had this point just to something, you know what
- 33:55Speaker 1: I'm saying. But he wasn't. He each each go around
- 33:57Speaker 1: he made sure he's like, oh, thanks for the feedback.
- 33:59Speaker 1: I'm I'm look at this. You know, what do you
- 34:00Speaker 1: think about this? Has I put this in here? What
- 34:02Speaker 1: do you think about that? And So I enjoyed the
- 34:05Speaker 1: process one watching you decide and choose and stand on
- 34:11Speaker 1: what it was that you liked and the things that
- 34:13Speaker 1: you necessarily and didn't like or wanted to see tweetd
- 34:15Speaker 1: and things like that. But also, like I said, just
- 34:18Speaker 1: a level of excellence on the back end. You know,
- 34:20Speaker 1: I can't I've been talking about I can't go nowhere
- 34:22Speaker 1: and just be regular most times because I'm always watching
- 34:24Speaker 1: like it's something about processes and how and how things
- 34:27Speaker 1: are done and how people do things is just what's
- 34:31Speaker 1: the word. I'm curious about it, you know. And so
- 34:35Speaker 1: just to watch that, I was like, man, that is
- 34:36Speaker 1: so cool because you can always take take a piece
- 34:39Speaker 1: of a process and add it into something that you're doing. Yeah.
- 34:41Speaker 1: So it's like that level of intentionality, like how can
- 34:45Speaker 1: I pick that up and put it in my pocket? Yeah,
- 34:47Speaker 1: and use that towards like even what we're doing. Yeah,
- 34:51Speaker 1: I think this process has made me take Okay, so
- 34:57Speaker 1: I feel like every fifty I've experienced something new. Right,
- 35:03Speaker 1: So the first fifty it was like okay, now the sound.
- 35:07Speaker 1: It was the sound and I was trying to get
- 35:10Speaker 1: it was my cousin why be chosen, it's his artistry name.
- 35:17Speaker 1: But I was telling him, I was like, I need
- 35:19Speaker 1: to come with a sound or whatever, not knowing that
- 35:22Speaker 1: the song I had been vibing to was literally the
- 35:25Speaker 1: sound the Lord. Because I kept telling him, I said
- 35:27Speaker 1: I need something like this. The Lord was just like
- 35:29Speaker 1: this is it? Why are you? You know? We was trying,
- 35:32Speaker 1: We was working so hard to try to make a
- 35:35Speaker 1: theme song, but I knew it was the sound for that,
- 35:40Speaker 1: and so when he allowed us to, he's still allowing
- 35:43Speaker 1: us to use his song as our theme song, which
- 35:47Speaker 1: is important to me. So okay, now we got our
- 35:50Speaker 1: sound and then and then episode one hundred. For me,
- 35:58Speaker 1: when we got to episode one hundred, it it got
- 36:01Speaker 1: it made me feel like or it made me understand
- 36:08Speaker 1: the level of exposure that the Lord was gonna give us.
- 36:12Speaker 1: It might not come through numbers, thank you, Holy Spirit.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Exposure means to be visible, and we the visibility that
- 36:27Speaker 1: we've gotten. Like people, I'm gonna say this without there
- 36:34Speaker 1: there are people that think that just because the numbers
- 36:38Speaker 1: aren't there means that they're not being seen, that they're
- 36:43Speaker 1: not visible. But as you continue to show up, people
- 36:47Speaker 1: might not support you, people might not subscribe you, but
- 36:50Speaker 1: they see you for miss tabbed like even that was
- 36:54Speaker 1: that was before that happened between episode fifty episode one
- 36:58Speaker 1: hundred where mistap Yeah, I was looking and she goes
- 37:01Speaker 1: to the country and saying, oh, okay, let me pick you.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Let's let's do this, and then she says, yes, let's
- 37:05Speaker 1: be on the podcast. Like that's a level exposure. Yeah,
- 37:09Speaker 1: that was being seen. But I'm still you know, I'm
- 37:12Speaker 1: still growing from that moment. So now I feel like
- 37:15Speaker 1: the Lord is putting a label on the sound and
- 37:17Speaker 1: the sight. That's what one hundred and fifty is. He's
- 37:22Speaker 1: labeled the sound and the site. That's good. But I
- 37:26Speaker 1: think about one hundred for me, it was it was
- 37:30Speaker 1: looking back at the decision to be consistent for me,
- 37:35Speaker 1: right even through the processing that you know, the trials
- 37:40Speaker 1: and the ups and downs and all these things, and
- 37:41Speaker 1: I'm just like it was for me it was like
- 37:44Speaker 1: a record to be able to look back and like, dang,
- 37:46Speaker 1: but Lord, you was even through all of that, like
- 37:48Speaker 1: he was still there, like I can remember, you know,
- 37:51Speaker 1: some struggle episodes, struggling like we showed up but still
- 37:56Speaker 1: having to deal with life, you know what I'm saying.
- 37:58Speaker 1: So it was an appreciation even and even as we
- 38:00Speaker 1: celebrate one fifty, still the same thing. It's just an
- 38:03Speaker 1: appreciation of this this elevation, this exposure, this thing that
- 38:09Speaker 1: that it's only God like like we've made it this
- 38:12Speaker 1: far through consistency and by the grace of the Lord
- 38:15Speaker 1: and his leading, you know, yeah, because it's looked different
- 38:18Speaker 1: at every stage, Like even the fact that we have
- 38:20Speaker 1: what we need, there are still more things that we
- 38:22Speaker 1: need and desire because the Lord has continued to push
- 38:25Speaker 1: us and now God is allowing us to do this
- 38:29Speaker 1: for other people like I would. I'm glad we're a
- 38:35Speaker 1: sweet spot to where we're much further along to more people.
- 38:38Speaker 1: But we still got a long way to go, and
- 38:41Speaker 1: we're not too detached from the work. Like it's not
- 38:47Speaker 1: shout out to JAYL Grom and Felicia Why I was
- 38:53Speaker 1: finding Felicia Roper, who's on our team that is making
- 38:59Speaker 1: a lot of the things behind the scenes happen. You
- 39:03Speaker 1: don't get that without consistency. It made us be exposed
- 39:07Speaker 1: to them, you know what I'm saying. And so just
- 39:11Speaker 1: is ran by women, there is ran by women. He okay,
- 39:15Speaker 1: and hands down, couldn't do it without the team God
- 39:18Speaker 1: has blessed us with. But God wouldn't have blessed us
- 39:20Speaker 1: with that if we did not handle where He gave
- 39:24Speaker 1: us in our hands. Originally and then also with the rebrand.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Gave me the boldness to say, Okay, I'm going to invest.
- 39:33Speaker 1: I made that first investment. Now I'm investing in part
- 39:35Speaker 1: of the team. You know what I'm saying, it's like, Okay,
- 39:39Speaker 1: we're doing this for real, like this is a business.
- 39:41Speaker 1: And when Donny Wigan said that the first podcast summit
- 39:45Speaker 1: was like the problem is that y'all treating is like
- 39:47Speaker 1: a habit and not a business, that shook me up.
- 39:51Speaker 1: So now I'm like seeing the fruit of treating this
- 39:53Speaker 1: like a business even though it didn't feel like a business.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Now it feels like a business, like it really does.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Like I don't know, I'm proud of me if nobody
- 40:04Speaker 1: else was to say and I'm proud of me, I'm
- 40:06Speaker 1: proud of you. I'm proud of you. Any final thoughts, girl,
- 40:10Speaker 1: I know this one is short, but that's really what
- 40:13Speaker 1: I wanted to share with you guys, is that you know,
- 40:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna going back to the question that God opposed
- 40:19Speaker 1: to me, like, uh, would God present me in the
- 40:23Speaker 1: way that I'm presenting myself right now? And sometimes it's
- 40:26Speaker 1: not you're not presenting yourself in a bad way, but
- 40:28Speaker 1: is it a God way? And God's way is always
- 40:31Speaker 1: gonna outweigh the way that we think is good because
- 40:35Speaker 1: His goodness is always better than ours. And so that's
- 40:41Speaker 1: my that's my question. What else you got to say?
- 40:46Speaker 1: I was just say to not be fearful, to not
- 40:51Speaker 1: be fearful of the next thing, because that's real, right,
- 40:55Speaker 1: especially when you when you're journeying with the Lord. You know,
- 40:59Speaker 1: even though you have journey and you can see you
- 41:00Speaker 1: can see his track work and everything like that, when
- 41:02Speaker 1: you know the weight of what he has on your
- 41:06Speaker 1: life and where he's taking you, it can it could
- 41:08Speaker 1: It could pose. It could pose a moment of like
- 41:12Speaker 1: do I want to keep doing this? Do I want
- 41:14Speaker 1: to keep suffering? You know what I'm saying. I can
- 41:17Speaker 1: be regular, but you really can't be regular because then
- 41:20Speaker 1: that's another cost. So you're gonna pay one one way,
- 41:24Speaker 1: and you might as well just uh, let the Lord
- 41:27Speaker 1: pay the bill, all right, Glory to God. I'm screaming, y'all.
- 41:30Speaker 1: We want to know because we started this thing off
- 41:34Speaker 1: saying like I'm confused if I want to do the
- 41:36Speaker 1: influencer thing or whatever. Why do you show up to
- 41:40Speaker 1: Just ask the podcast what makes you keep coming? Let
- 41:43Speaker 1: us talk about it in the chat, like what how
- 41:46Speaker 1: do you identify yourself? And what brings you here? Because
- 41:49Speaker 1: we really want to know because it's important to have
- 41:51Speaker 1: the language for the future. It's important for the have
- 41:54Speaker 1: the language for the next leg of the journey. And
- 41:56Speaker 1: if we're not producing that language us because we're not
- 42:03Speaker 1: managing or stewarding what God has given us will and
- 42:05Speaker 1: so we're always in research of doing better. We're always
- 42:09Speaker 1: in research and doing what thus says the Lord. And
- 42:11Speaker 1: so there's a reason why you was here. There's a
- 42:13Speaker 1: reason why you stayed until the end, and we appreciate that.
- 42:16Speaker 1: But we love you. Make sure we see you in
- 42:19Speaker 1: the comments. But until next time, until next week, remember
- 42:23Speaker 1: life could be much more simple if you just ask.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Here's y'all. Thank you for tuning in to this week's episode.

- 42:52Speaker 3: stay thank.
- 42:53Speaker 2: God for one another day by Hey, I know we
- 42:58Speaker 2: could be another way. Hey, pray thank God for another day. Hey, Hey,
