- 0:00Speaker 1: The Force will be with you always. He Hello, everyone,
- 0:20Speaker 1: Welcome back to another episode of Star Wars Lines your
- 0:23Speaker 1: home on Gels podcast Network for any and all. Thanks
- 0:27Speaker 1: Star Wars. I'm your host as always Katie, and technology
- 0:30Speaker 1: apparently hates my ever loving guts. Today, I had problems
- 0:35Speaker 1: with my work laptop and then I got everything set up.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Logging off from work, I was like, okay, I'm gonna
- 0:41Speaker 1: take five minutes set up stream yards, set up all
- 0:44Speaker 1: my links and stuff like. I got kicked out of Twitter,
- 0:47Speaker 1: so I can't access Twitter on my laptop. So I
- 0:49Speaker 1: was like googling everything and everything, and then my laptop
- 0:53Speaker 1: decided to die as I logged into the streamyard. Well
- 0:58Speaker 1: it didn't die, it didn't connect my mic and headphones.
- 1:01Speaker 1: So yeah, that's my story. That's why we're late. That's
- 1:05Speaker 1: why we're ten minutes late. I promise I was here
- 1:10Speaker 1: on time. Clay was here on time. I was here, Hi, Clay,
- 1:15Speaker 1: how are you doing today?
- 1:16Speaker 2: I am doing pretty good? And I just posted our
- 1:22Speaker 2: first live story on Instagram for those who are interested,
- 1:29Speaker 2: We do have Instagram again. Star Wars Alliance. Of course,
- 1:33Speaker 2: no A in War's very important, don't forget it. And
- 1:37Speaker 2: I just came up with this little thing that I
- 1:39Speaker 2: feel like I'm probably gonna do every single time we
- 1:41Speaker 2: go live. And I did make sure to put the
- 1:44Speaker 2: little YouTube signage there so that way people aren't confused.
- 1:48Speaker 2: And when we're like, okay, you're live, why aren't you
- 1:50Speaker 2: live on Instagram? So we're still good on be just
- 1:53Speaker 2: be live here on YouTube, but we're here, we're going
- 1:58Speaker 2: to be talking about speaking of let me grab everything
- 2:05Speaker 2: from the Twitter chat.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Yes, hey, guys, I made a little banner if you're
- 2:12Speaker 1: here on YouTube. Now we have a banner that will
- 2:15Speaker 1: properly use. We're trying to get better at social media, guys.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Clay and I basically twitter died. It went off the
- 2:21Speaker 1: deep end, and Clay and I were like, well, fuck this,
- 2:24Speaker 1: We're done with social media. And we basically like scroll
- 2:27Speaker 1: and that's about it.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yeah, like we like the only thing. The only time
- 2:33Speaker 2: I ever used the Star Wars Alliance Twitter account is
- 2:36Speaker 2: when I accidentally click on their notifications to try and
- 2:40Speaker 2: reply to something in our Star Wars chat and I
- 2:42Speaker 2: reply as the podcast page. That's the only time I
- 2:46Speaker 2: really use it nowadays. No, but we do have very
- 2:51Speaker 2: very little news. There's not much of anything out there
- 2:55Speaker 2: in the ethos right now. But yeah, we're gonna be
- 3:00Speaker 2: talking one, two, three subjects, maybe even a fourth because
- 3:07Speaker 2: I think the last thing that Travis posted is a
- 3:13Speaker 2: little silly and I but I guess there is a
- 3:16Speaker 2: small conversation that could be had with that. But let's
- 3:21Speaker 2: go ahead and jump into it. The very first thing
- 3:26Speaker 2: that we are gonna be talking about is an updated
- 3:32Speaker 2: cast member list for the Lego Star Wars Rebuild the Galaxy.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Pieces of the Past. That is a mouthful of a title.
- 3:42Speaker 2: By the way, of course, is a four part special
- 3:46Speaker 2: releasing on September nineteenth on Disney Plus. There is a
- 3:52Speaker 2: huge cast list here. I think there is some that
- 3:59Speaker 2: we can talk about. I'm not gonna talk about everybody
- 4:02Speaker 2: because I think, well, I think one of the best
- 4:05Speaker 2: things about the Lego Star Wars, especially the first Rebuild
- 4:10Speaker 2: the Galaxy, was a lot of the surprises that just
- 4:14Speaker 2: came out of nowhere that made it really, really fun.
- 4:17Speaker 2: So we're not going to talk about everybody. I'm just
- 4:22Speaker 2: gonna go ahead and talk about the highlights and some
- 4:28Speaker 2: of the returning cast. Of course, if you saw the trailer,
- 4:33Speaker 2: you know that.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Allan Actually, I actually didn't watch the trailer.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Oh, Katie, there's a there is a controversial piece of
- 4:48Speaker 2: cannon it up.
- 4:53Speaker 1: You want to see at least one of the trailers. So, okay,
- 4:59Speaker 1: this is Lego Star Wars, Rey Bill, the Gallexy Pieces
- 5:07Speaker 1: of the Past.
- 5:10Speaker 2: The most recent trailer had something that a lot of
- 5:13Speaker 2: people were very excited to see but also uh, kind
- 5:18Speaker 2: of angry to see at the same time. And I
- 5:21Speaker 2: would I would like to hear your input on this.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Okay, So I'm starting it. I'm gonna turn my volume
- 5:27Speaker 1: a little bit down, but still there so I can
- 5:29Speaker 1: hear it. Okay. So I'm at zero out of one
- 5:32Speaker 1: fifty five right now. If you guys want to follow
- 5:34Speaker 1: along with my reaction, I don't know.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not gonna put it on screen because we
- 5:39Speaker 2: know that we sometimes get taken down if we do
- 5:41Speaker 2: that type of thing.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:44Speaker 2: So some of the returning cast, like I said, Alan
- 5:48Speaker 2: tutic As K two s O has been confirmed as
- 5:53Speaker 2: well as Jackson is gonna be played by Bench Schwartz.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Jackson has not made a actual Star Wars appearance. I
- 6:08Speaker 2: don't even think they've appeared in the Christmas special. They
- 6:12Speaker 2: are a comic book character.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Yeah, this is his first appearance. We knew Jackson was coming.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Yeah, Jackson has been something that was already marketing, like
- 6:22Speaker 2: in the marketing and everything else. Ye, but Ben Schwartz
- 6:26Speaker 2: is gonna be playing Jackson, so I think.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Okay, So I'm at thirty three seconds because I paused
- 6:31Speaker 1: it so I can chime in. Okay, okay, Stolitis is
- 6:34Speaker 1: on screen.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Now there there is somebody who shows up on screen
- 6:40Speaker 2: that a lot of people, and I wonder if they
- 6:45Speaker 2: actually have the voice cast looking at it now, they
- 6:57Speaker 2: don't have that character in the voice cast, so the
- 7:04Speaker 2: the I don't even know if he actually has a voice.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I can't remember if he says anything in the trailer.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Every brick Baby, Yoda.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Grow good that.
- 7:22Speaker 1: True vodka? So I think Death Troopers.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Mm hmmm, per poor goals.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I did see that screenshot.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I'll give you a hint. The person that I'm gonna
- 7:36Speaker 2: be talking about has a lightsaber.
- 7:39Speaker 1: All right, y'all, we are gonna hit our first ad
- 7:41Speaker 1: break and we will be right back in three two one.
- 7:46Speaker 1: But okay, did I miss who it was?
- 7:49Speaker 2: So you probably did, because it's literally a blink and
- 7:52Speaker 2: you miss it. Darth Revin is in that trailer.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Oh I have seen that screenshot. Ye, yes, okay, and.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I even I sent it to Snell and I said, hey,
- 8:04Speaker 2: we're getting Darth Revin Cannon in Lego Star Wars before
- 8:09Speaker 2: we get Kotor remastered. And this is kind of like
- 8:14Speaker 2: the same thing that everybody else is saying. They're like,
- 8:16Speaker 2: I can't believe because because the funny thing is what
- 8:21Speaker 2: we talked about on the release of Rebuild the Galaxy, yep,
- 8:26Speaker 2: was that canotically it's happening like they they talk about
- 8:32Speaker 2: everything that's happened in the Star Wars universe. They share
- 8:38Speaker 2: every single story of the prequels, the sequels, and the
- 8:45Speaker 2: original trilogy. So this is of course a multiversal thing,
- 8:53Speaker 2: and you can say like, oh, you know, Revin is
- 8:58Speaker 2: part of this multiversal bit, but it's still a very tiny,
- 9:03Speaker 2: whimy multiversal canontical thing. And we get Lego Reven before
- 9:11Speaker 2: we get his like official remaster debut.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it's super interesting and it makes me feel like,
- 9:26Speaker 1: okay that the core toor adaptation video Gamer otherwise is
- 9:33Speaker 1: kind of dead, and this is like a Darth jar
- 9:37Speaker 1: Jar now basically.
- 9:39Speaker 2: I see I would see. I feel like that's a
- 9:43Speaker 2: very controversial take because there is still the well, there's
- 9:47Speaker 2: still those people that hold on to the hope and
- 9:53Speaker 2: like grasp every straw of every single developer that has
- 9:57Speaker 2: an interview lately. That's like, oh, but still we're still
- 10:00Speaker 2: working on it. We're still I can't say much about it,
- 10:03Speaker 2: but it's still in progress.
- 10:05Speaker 3: And it's like, like I want to hold hope, but like,
- 10:10Speaker 3: we haven't heard anything from any video game, and I
- 10:15Speaker 3: wonder if it's.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Because of the lack of quote unquote success from Outlaws.
- 10:24Speaker 2: We know that Outlaws had a very large backlash, the
- 10:28Speaker 2: sales didn't do very well.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Right, But at the same time, you also know that
- 10:34Speaker 1: you have the Kotor fan base. It's going to go
- 10:38Speaker 1: buy this game.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, one, you do. But that's not the suits.
- 10:44Speaker 2: The suits don't get to make that decision. The suits believe,
- 10:49Speaker 2: oh well, if they stop buying one Star Wars product,
- 10:52Speaker 2: they will stop buying all Star Wars products, which is
- 10:57Speaker 2: a very silly way of thinking, and which is exactly
- 11:03Speaker 2: why we get. You know, we have the lack of
- 11:06Speaker 2: content coming our way via streaming because the suits had said,
- 11:11Speaker 2: oh well, if they dislike Acolyte, then everything after will
- 11:16Speaker 2: be disliked.
- 11:17Speaker 1: And it is one year since has been canceled. Guys
- 11:21Speaker 1: still real acknowledgments.
- 11:26Speaker 2: It's it's sad. But some more of the cast we
- 11:34Speaker 2: are getting sand witwere is going to be returning as
- 11:38Speaker 2: Mall as well as uh one. I will go ahead
- 11:46Speaker 2: in and kind of spoil, but they were of course
- 11:49Speaker 2: already uh a thing last UH season or in the
- 11:55Speaker 2: last special. Amed Best returns as Darth Jarge.
- 12:00Speaker 1: So and yeah, you have basically everybody from the cast
- 12:05Speaker 1: of the first season question mark.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Yeah, and the three that we had known before this
- 12:15Speaker 1: was coming out. We knew Billy d Williams for Landorian,
- 12:20Speaker 1: We knew Ashley Eckstein for Brick Ahsoka. I don't know
- 12:24Speaker 1: why she has to be different. I'm interested to see why.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And then Ben Schwartz as Jackson. Those were the three
- 12:34Speaker 1: new people that we knew were coming.
- 12:38Speaker 2: One that did get already kind of announced already also
- 12:43Speaker 2: because it was in the same photo marketing for Ahsoka
- 12:49Speaker 2: and the actual poster is Calcestis uh oh. Yes, Cameron
- 12:55Speaker 2: Monaghan is making his UH voice's return for Calcastus in
- 13:04Speaker 2: this movie.
- 13:05Speaker 1: So I think that is super exciting. Yeah, and I know,
- 13:10Speaker 1: like I haven't done a lot of playing with those
- 13:13Speaker 1: video games. But I think the dude is a phenomenal
- 13:16Speaker 1: actor and so keeping him around in Star Wars is
- 13:19Speaker 1: super awesome.
- 13:21Speaker 2: He has had a very fun run as far as
- 13:25Speaker 2: his story. His his actual intertwining story with the High
- 13:33Speaker 2: Republic is very very intriguing and fun. So if you
- 13:40Speaker 2: guys haven't played the second game, I highly recommend it.
- 13:42Speaker 2: They do play a lot with the High Republic there. Yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 2: so it's gonna be very fun to see him come
- 13:48Speaker 2: back for Pieces of the Past. The second piece of
- 13:54Speaker 2: news that we had had me just like this post
- 13:59Speaker 2: immediately say up out of I didn't know exactly what
- 14:05Speaker 2: this is.
- 14:06Speaker 1: So this is a Star Wars insider story and it
- 14:11Speaker 1: is by Adam lands Garcia. It is his second canon
- 14:15Speaker 1: short story he did. He did contribute to Return of
- 14:18Speaker 1: the Jedi from a certain point of view, but he
- 14:22Speaker 1: had posted that he did some research and it included
- 14:25Speaker 1: like Path of Deceit I think bloodline, and then a
- 14:28Speaker 1: couple like different like Battles of Star Wars, and different
- 14:33Speaker 1: like nonfiction book nonfiction Star Wars books. And so this
- 14:39Speaker 1: is the snippet from his story, and basically, y'all, the
- 14:47Speaker 1: Path of the Open hand exists during Order sixty six.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Yes, as soon as soon as soon as I read
- 14:59Speaker 2: the phrase a gift freely given, my eyes went wide.
- 15:03Speaker 2: I was like, oh, snap, hold on, hold on a second, guys,
- 15:08Speaker 2: the implications of this is wild.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Now I'm glad that they saved this until everything has
- 15:18Speaker 1: kind of come out for the Higher Republic. Obviously we've
- 15:21Speaker 1: still got Higher Republic adventured to Volume four, Volume five,
- 15:24Speaker 1: and then the Higher Republic Fear of the Jedi, but
- 15:27Speaker 1: all of those issues are technically out, so the Higher
- 15:30Speaker 1: Republic is done.
- 15:32Speaker 2: So not only that, like, not only are am I
- 15:36Speaker 2: happy about all of that? But like I said, the
- 15:40Speaker 2: implications of this are really intriguing, really fun. Because if
- 15:46Speaker 2: you remember in Return of the Jedi, it was I
- 15:51Speaker 2: believe it was from a certain point of view, Return
- 15:53Speaker 2: of the Jedi, there was a story with death. I
- 16:02Speaker 2: believe it was in Coruson. I believe what what what? Where?
- 16:08Speaker 2: Where was he I don't know if he was in Coraucon, Yes,
- 16:13Speaker 2: he was in Okay.
- 16:14Speaker 1: It was Adam Lance's. That was Adam Lance's story, was
- 16:19Speaker 1: the Dutch story.
- 16:20Speaker 2: It was Okay, Okay, So you have that. So again
- 16:25Speaker 2: you you have these pieces of the past literally that
- 16:31Speaker 2: we're playing within you know, the quote unquote current not
- 16:36Speaker 2: really timeline of things, right, yea, So they are they
- 16:41Speaker 2: are proving to the audience us, the fans of Star
- 16:46Speaker 2: Wars that because there are yes, certain rules of life
- 16:54Speaker 2: in the Star Wars galaxy, but there's also very wonky
- 17:02Speaker 2: rules with life and time span like lifespans and all
- 17:07Speaker 2: of this other thing.
- 17:09Speaker 1: So like.
- 17:12Speaker 2: You have there's the phrase of you can't kill an idea, right,
- 17:20Speaker 2: you have to realize what the path was and what
- 17:24Speaker 2: it turned into and how that could very easily word
- 17:34Speaker 2: of mouth just throughout the entire galaxy. Right. So I
- 17:39Speaker 2: think that there being a member of the Path of
- 17:44Speaker 2: the Open Hand, now we assume the Path of the
- 17:49Speaker 2: Open Hand. We assume because that same phrase was also
- 17:56Speaker 2: in the Path of the Closed Fist, right, and.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I think probably the still the same principles remain. I
- 18:04Speaker 1: wouldn't imagine we say Path of the Open Hand. I
- 18:07Speaker 1: wouldn't imagine they're going by the same title because even
- 18:11Speaker 1: though Yoda said, Okay, we're gonna keep Dalma hidden, We're
- 18:15Speaker 1: not gonna reveal what happened. I would imagine the higher
- 18:20Speaker 1: ups and Corusline knew Okay, Path of the Open Hand,
- 18:24Speaker 1: path with the closed twist terror is implications basically, So
- 18:30Speaker 1: I say Path of the Open Hand. I don't think
- 18:33Speaker 1: it is the Path of the Open Hand. I wonder
- 18:36Speaker 1: if Adam Lance's story is going to transition them into
- 18:41Speaker 1: the syth accolytes that we get in Aftermath and Shadow
- 18:46Speaker 1: of the Sith.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Now I could totally see that and the and what
- 18:57Speaker 2: I had said prior. You can't kill an idea, right.
- 19:00Speaker 2: That doesn't mean that this person necessarily needed to swear
- 19:08Speaker 2: their life to an organization.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Yep.
- 19:12Speaker 2: They could literally still hold the same values and still
- 19:17Speaker 2: practice that in private. Yes, this this could very much
- 19:22Speaker 2: be a one off thing like this could be the
- 19:25Speaker 2: last survivor of the Path of the Open Hand for all.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I don't well, yes, I guess that's true. To the
- 19:32Speaker 1: reference to a mother, not Mother Row or the original mother,
- 19:39Speaker 1: I can't remember her name Zebyron, I don't so I
- 19:45Speaker 1: don't think. I still think there's a cult aspect in
- 19:51Speaker 1: the battle.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I guess I didn't. I didn't see that.
- 19:54Speaker 2: I just saw a mother and I just kept reading.
- 19:56Speaker 2: But this actually has like a new name. Yeah, Oh,
- 20:01Speaker 2: so this is an organization.
- 20:04Speaker 1: At least it was. Yeah, So yeah, I'm like, dang,
- 20:11Speaker 1: I wish I made it to my library this weekend
- 20:14Speaker 1: so I could go get the magazine from Libby. So
- 20:20Speaker 1: I will have to wait until I get my library
- 20:22Speaker 1: card to get this one read, because most of these
- 20:25Speaker 1: stories don't come out in like a book format like no,
- 20:29Speaker 1: they are the magazine, the Higher Republic ones. The High
- 20:35Speaker 1: Republic ones have been the only exception to that rule
- 20:38Speaker 1: that I know.
- 20:39Speaker 2: If people are interested in reading this currently it is
- 20:43Speaker 2: from Star Wars Insider, number seventy three.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Number seventy three. I thought it was two twenty three,
- 20:50Speaker 1: uh or seventy three.
- 20:53Speaker 2: In the corner it says Stark, it says Star Wars Insider,
- 20:57Speaker 2: and then it says Slash seventy three that might be
- 20:59Speaker 2: paid some three page that I now that I look
- 21:02Speaker 2: at it. If it is to seventy three, I can
- 21:07Speaker 2: even double check the most recent.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Star Wars in Oh, I don't think he's on Twitter anymore.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Okay, let's see here more recent. Most recent issue was
- 21:24Speaker 2: two thirty three, and that was published as if we
- 21:28Speaker 2: were recording this yesterday, So yeah, it'll be issue two
- 21:33Speaker 2: thirty three. Yeah, and this has uh the U and.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Or yeah, it's yeah on the cover.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Now there are multiple covers. I just want to let
- 21:52Speaker 2: you Yeah, I think there is a total of three covers.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Back when I was working at Lunar, we actually were
- 22:02Speaker 2: working with Titan and they had up to I believe
- 22:06Speaker 2: three separate three covers for the Insiders.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Gotcha. Okay, So yeah, if you're interested and you have
- 22:14Speaker 1: access to this magazine, go check it out. Because I'm
- 22:19Speaker 1: sure Adam we loved Adam's deck Roy, so I'm sure
- 22:23Speaker 1: he wrote another good one.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:28Speaker 1: So I think the last piece of news that we have,
- 22:31Speaker 1: I have the quote in front of me, but Tony
- 22:33Speaker 1: Gilroy has had a quote about the non acting nominations
- 22:42Speaker 1: for the Emmys for Genevieve O'Reilly and Diego Luna. In
- 22:48Speaker 1: a conversation with gold Derby, Gilroy admitted that it was
- 22:51Speaker 1: quote painful to see O'Reilly not getting the recognition for
- 22:55Speaker 1: their brilliant performances. Genevieve O'Reilly. Of the twenty four episodes,
- 22:59Speaker 1: she must be twenty of them. She gives a five
- 23:02Speaker 1: year performance that's complicated, nuanced, in breathtaking. It's a lifetime achievement.
- 23:09Speaker 1: I'm sure when you're looking at the nomination, you think,
- 23:12Speaker 1: when are you going to get a part like that again?
- 23:14Speaker 1: When are you going to get an opportunity like that again?
- 23:16Speaker 1: When are you ever going When are you going to
- 23:19Speaker 1: ever do that kind of work again, especially if you've
- 23:21Speaker 1: been a working actor but always on the margins, always
- 23:24Speaker 1: down that list, And here's this incredible opportunity, And really
- 23:27Speaker 1: I would trade away a lot of other things to
- 23:29Speaker 1: have her there. He also admitted that he was not
- 23:34Speaker 1: as concerned about Lunisna, but was upset about it. Nonetheless,
- 23:39Speaker 1: he said, it really hurts, but I said it before.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I do think the performances and the work that people
- 23:43Speaker 1: did on the show is going to have very long,
- 23:46Speaker 1: a very long life. I don't think it has an
- 23:48Speaker 1: expiration date on it anytime soon. And I think he's right.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Diego Luna has gained some notoriety just with his performance
- 23:55Speaker 1: and wrote one with his performance in and Or season
- 23:59Speaker 1: one that does it the gate the fact that it
- 24:01Speaker 1: sucks that he didn't get a nomination for the Emmys
- 24:05Speaker 1: for season two, but that's what the awards do. It
- 24:09Speaker 1: gets the actor in front of the suits in this case,
- 24:15Speaker 1: and so they go, oh, Genevievel Riley, She's never had
- 24:18Speaker 1: an Emmy nomination, she's never had Golden globes, Like, do
- 24:23Speaker 1: I really want to see her? So we've talked about this.
- 24:30Speaker 1: I just wanted to share his quote because I did
- 24:32Speaker 1: appreciate that he finally said, like, yeah, I don't like
- 24:35Speaker 1: this because he's a very well known director and in
- 24:42Speaker 1: that's it in the suits type of you the people
- 24:45Speaker 1: who run the awards that a director like Tony Yo
- 24:50Speaker 1: Roy can carry a lot of weight. So him finally
- 24:53Speaker 1: saying something is nice to see. It's not gonna change
- 24:56Speaker 1: anything now.
- 24:59Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah, I agree with all of that. I
- 25:05Speaker 2: think for one, one thing, if one thing is certain,
- 25:10Speaker 2: is that we will see more of these and Or
- 25:16Speaker 2: actors now that and Or has completed. It's something that
- 25:22Speaker 2: we see with a lot of critically acclaimed shows. Uh,
- 25:28Speaker 2: We'll start to see those actors boom for like another
- 25:30Speaker 2: two or three years, and then they'll phase out. But
- 25:33Speaker 2: even during that time, I think seeing them is gonna
- 25:37Speaker 2: be a big joy. Now, the only thing we have
- 25:42Speaker 2: left that I said was kind of worthy of news.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Oh quote, Yeah, is a little bit of a conversation here.
- 25:54Speaker 2: There's a lot of people referencing his quote from a
- 25:57Speaker 2: couple months ago, years ago about the like oh if
- 26:04Speaker 2: I need another house, you know. But we have a
- 26:09Speaker 2: quote from Oscar Isaac saying when when asked if he
- 26:15Speaker 2: would ever return to Star Wars again, he says, yeah,
- 26:18Speaker 2: I'd be in Star Wars again if there was something
- 26:21Speaker 2: good to do with that. So, like even Travis is like, oh,
- 26:26Speaker 2: so I guess he's uh, he's changed his tune and
- 26:29Speaker 2: everything else. You know. I think conversations have probably been had,
- 26:38Speaker 2: and that's why he's at least left it open because
- 26:43Speaker 2: he's an actor. If he gets paid what he wants, yeah,
- 26:45Speaker 2: he's probably gonna return, you know. So that's what I think.
- 26:52Speaker 1: What about yourself, I definitely enjoy Oscar Isaac as an actor.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I think if he wants to return to Star Wars,
- 27:00Speaker 1: than great. I think actors deserve if they're offered an
- 27:04Speaker 1: opportunity and they want to take it, they should be
- 27:06Speaker 1: able to take that opportunity and not get judged so harshly,
- 27:10Speaker 1: like people are making fun of him. Snell made fun
- 27:13Speaker 1: of him. So what the studios are gonna pay the man?
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yeah? So yeah, I agree.
- 27:22Speaker 1: And he's doing all these interviews for Frankenstein, which is
- 27:26Speaker 1: coming up in December, but they're starting to do publicity
- 27:28Speaker 1: now because I think it's going to I think it's
- 27:32Speaker 1: going in the Tiff. So they're starting to do publicity
- 27:36Speaker 1: for it now. So we're probably gonna get several quotes
- 27:39Speaker 1: like this over the next couple of months.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Yeah, probably. But that is it for our news segment.
- 27:50Speaker 2: We are down to the main topic. I did change
- 27:54Speaker 2: the scene behind us Star Wars. The essential legends, of course,
- 28:00Speaker 2: were unleashed too.
- 28:02Speaker 1: We're gonna go into our second ad break and we'll
- 28:06Speaker 1: be right back.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Katie. Yes, we said that we were not super impressed
- 28:15Speaker 2: by the first one. I went ahead and uh, I
- 28:25Speaker 2: have the Uh well, I checked it in from Libby
- 28:32Speaker 2: and I listened to the audiobook and then I was like, wow,
- 28:38Speaker 2: I listened to that like three weeks in advance. I
- 28:41Speaker 2: need to listen to it again. But it was already,
- 28:47Speaker 2: you know, taken from Libby. So I actually purchased the
- 28:51Speaker 2: digital book and I read the book, and then mid
- 28:55Speaker 2: reading the book, I was just like, oh, let me
- 28:57Speaker 2: see if I can get it, you know, on Libby again,
- 29:00Speaker 2: and I got it, and so I like zoomed past
- 29:03Speaker 2: it this past week.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I listened to it because I had purchased it
- 29:08Speaker 1: on Audible a while ago. But I do, of course
- 29:11Speaker 1: have my mass market paperback.
- 29:13Speaker 2: I was gonna say, you have the traditional cover.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Yeah, the Legends banner video game cover. Ye, polshebang.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I didn't open the book until today, Like this book
- 29:28Speaker 1: has never been opened until today. And it I mean,
- 29:34Speaker 1: just being realistic upfront, it probably won't ever get opened.
- 29:38Speaker 2: And that's what I was gonna ask. We we we
- 29:40Speaker 2: said we weren't. We said we weren't impressed by the
- 29:44Speaker 2: first book because it and this is this is saying
- 29:50Speaker 2: it pretty harshly. I know, I'm gonna say this pretty harshly.
- 29:53Speaker 2: It reaked of script copy paste to.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and do you think this one is a little better?
- 30:09Speaker 1: But not much?
- 30:11Speaker 2: I I might have to disagree with you. And here's
- 30:17Speaker 2: the difference. Here's the difference. Okay, So I have yet
- 30:22Speaker 2: to play the second game. During the time of the
- 30:26Speaker 2: second game's release, I was not financially stable enough to
- 30:33Speaker 2: make a you know, smart purchase with that game. It
- 30:38Speaker 2: would have been a very stupid purchase. So I made
- 30:42Speaker 2: the right choice and I didn't buy it. Now it
- 30:45Speaker 2: is currently right now as we speak, I am staring
- 30:49Speaker 2: at the icon on my desktop because I bought a
- 30:54Speaker 2: Humble bundle for Star Wars and I bought like fifteen
- 30:58Speaker 2: Star Wars games for like two books, and it's literally
- 31:03Speaker 2: sitting on my computer right now. I will probably have
- 31:08Speaker 2: a better time playing the game and getting the experience
- 31:13Speaker 2: of the game than I did reading this book.
- 31:18Speaker 1: I would agree, And maybe we'll do an episode where
- 31:21Speaker 1: we do the cut scenes for both books and talk
- 31:24Speaker 1: about those compared to the novelization. I know it's not
- 31:27Speaker 1: gonna get the full story, but like most of it.
- 31:33Speaker 1: But like so, I listened to the audiobook for this,
- 31:35Speaker 1: and I tried to listen to it twice. I got
- 31:38Speaker 1: through one and a half times, but I was like,
- 31:40Speaker 1: oh my gosh, and I got lost at the same
- 31:43Speaker 1: exact points. So it wasn't like my brain was zoning out.
- 31:46Speaker 1: It was literally just and I love Jonathan Davis as
- 31:50Speaker 1: a narrator. It did not work for this, for these
- 31:54Speaker 1: the series of Star Wars.
- 31:56Speaker 2: No, it did not. Bill Well, go ahead, go ahead, Sorry.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Sorry, And I think it's it's possibly because I know
- 32:07Speaker 1: Sam Whitwer's voice, and yes, I know SI like Jonathan
- 32:15Speaker 1: Davis is so good, but also like he doesn't reach
- 32:19Speaker 1: what Sam Witward does, and we already talked about Okay,
- 32:22Speaker 1: maybe for an anniversary edition, could we get Sam Whitward.
- 32:25Speaker 2: I really, I really want them to do it. If
- 32:28Speaker 2: it's not this anniversary, then the after the next five years. Yeah,
- 32:33Speaker 2: because what is it, the fifteenth twentieth anniversary? I can't remember. Uh, well,
- 32:41Speaker 2: it says the hardcover for this book was twenty ten,
- 32:46Speaker 2: so I would assume that the for sun Leash came
- 32:50Speaker 2: out in twenty twenty five, twenty twenty six. It was
- 32:53Speaker 2: while I was in high school, so both games released
- 32:55Speaker 2: during my time. In an hour after high school.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Yeah, the first the first novelization was two thousand and eight,
- 33:04Speaker 1: so twenty years is coming up.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Maybe I'm not gonna cross my fingers for it, because honestly,
- 33:12Speaker 1: I don't know if that's gonna save it.
- 33:16Speaker 2: I think it, I think it could. I think it could,
- 33:21Speaker 2: or if anything, if they really want to pour the
- 33:24Speaker 2: money into it, they can go for a full like
- 33:27Speaker 2: audio drama of it and do it in the capacity.
- 33:31Speaker 2: I think that would be a little bit more fun
- 33:34Speaker 2: because you have a proxy there that can do so
- 33:38Speaker 2: many different voices. I think would be really fun if
- 33:41Speaker 2: they attempted to get different narrators for that, but this book,
- 33:50Speaker 2: it may have been the fact that I didn't know
- 33:52Speaker 2: the story going in. But there was also this weird
- 33:57Speaker 2: transition into like was it like a dream state or
- 34:06Speaker 2: like it was like a it was a clone that
- 34:09Speaker 2: was like dreaming but not dreaming, and like all these
- 34:13Speaker 2: other things, it wasn't The sequencing wasn't really properly structured
- 34:21Speaker 2: for a novel.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Definitely, the sequencing is a huge issue. I do think
- 34:27Speaker 1: there have been other cases where the cloning with the
- 34:31Speaker 1: dream sequences or memories of past lives has gone better
- 34:36Speaker 1: for Star Wars Legends, so I wouldn't judge the cloning
- 34:41Speaker 1: duplicate process here. Maybe it passes off better in the
- 34:46Speaker 1: video game. I don't know.
- 34:47Speaker 2: And that was the thing, Like it was very much
- 34:51Speaker 2: like as soon as the first trailer hit, like that's
- 34:56Speaker 2: how we were introduced to this game. Was Yeah, like
- 35:02Speaker 2: it was Star Killer bursting out of a giant vat
- 35:08Speaker 2: that you're like, oh, he's a clone because he gets
- 35:11Speaker 2: out of the vat that he just fell out of
- 35:13Speaker 2: and there's more of him like all of these other things,
- 35:16Speaker 2: and then he like fights his way out. That was
- 35:19Speaker 2: I believe the very first trailer for the game, so
- 35:22Speaker 2: we knew going into this like, oh, this isn't the
- 35:24Speaker 2: original star Killer, this is a clone. I wonder what
- 35:26Speaker 2: that's gonna do as far as the story goes.
- 35:29Speaker 1: And I feel like that's a part of the story
- 35:33Speaker 1: where it struggled because you kept going back to Star
- 35:40Speaker 1: Killer clones identity crisis, and it's like, okay, you and
- 35:46Speaker 1: I both know that the star Killer died in the
- 35:51Speaker 1: first novel, first video game. But then like we get
- 35:55Speaker 1: to the final chapter and Code is like, he's the
- 35:58Speaker 1: only one who can tell us who the star Killer is.
- 36:03Speaker 2: But that was see, that was the confusing thing is
- 36:05Speaker 2: so he was trying to manipulate the situation into like, oh, well,
- 36:15Speaker 2: you know, nobody needs to know you're a clone. They
- 36:19Speaker 2: can still think that you're you're just star Killer and
- 36:22Speaker 2: you know, you're an invincible badass and that's exactly what
- 36:27Speaker 2: the Rebellion needs, you know. But then it got a
- 36:31Speaker 2: little wishy washy. And of course it's the idea of
- 36:34Speaker 2: like Coda is still very embedded with the Jedi ideals.
- 36:38Speaker 2: He still wants the Rebellion to be on good graces
- 36:42Speaker 2: and all this other stuff. So that's why he's not
- 36:44Speaker 2: wanting star Killer to kill Darth Vader. And I know
- 36:48Speaker 2: we're just around here, but like, there's not like I always.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Talk about for almost twenty years, well well.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Not only that, but I always talk when it comes
- 36:57Speaker 2: to the content of these books. I always talk about
- 37:01Speaker 2: the meat and potatoes. This book had no meat and potatoes.
- 37:05Speaker 2: This was a hollow book. And that sucks to say
- 37:12Speaker 2: because there was a lot of things I feel like
- 37:15Speaker 2: there is potential for with like Juno.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I loved Juno's side of the story. The Moncalamari
- 37:23Speaker 1: Dak mission was superb. I love seeing that. I got
- 37:28Speaker 1: super confused when Tarkan showed up and I'm like, wait,
- 37:31Speaker 1: Tarkan's here. Tarkan knew they were coming, but like then
- 37:35Speaker 1: it was like a whole employee with Proxy, and I'm like, oh,
- 37:37Speaker 1: I love this, Like yeah, I could have used like
- 37:40Speaker 1: a just a novelization on her in Proxy, like completing
- 37:44Speaker 1: rebels by missions, because I thought that was badass. But
- 37:48Speaker 1: then we got to like where star Killer kind of
- 37:51Speaker 1: took over the story and it just dropped, like I feel.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Like they're in the process of doing this forced unleashed
- 38:02Speaker 2: initiative with Force unleashed one Force un least two. What
- 38:07Speaker 2: they should have done was had because there has been
- 38:11Speaker 2: some time in between the first and second video games
- 38:16Speaker 2: or novels respectively, right.
- 38:19Speaker 1: So.
- 38:21Speaker 2: There should have probably been a story, a standalone novelization
- 38:30Speaker 2: of a Juno and Proxy mission.
- 38:35Speaker 1: But the way we're really doing that at the time,
- 38:38Speaker 1: which is why you got novelizations versus like hey, I'm
- 38:42Speaker 1: gonna take these characters and run with.
- 38:43Speaker 2: It exactly exactly and so but that is exactly why,
- 38:47Speaker 2: like we couldn't have also got it, because it was
- 38:52Speaker 2: not until this novel that they decide like, oh, well
- 38:58Speaker 2: these parts and this R two unit will actually help
- 39:03Speaker 2: you fix Proxy. So like there was a subtle like, hey,
- 39:07Speaker 2: this is the reason why we couldn't have a Juno
- 39:09Speaker 2: Proxy mission because Proxy is not working at the moment.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:15Speaker 2: But even like there was a small subplot that like
- 39:18Speaker 2: I feel like was kind of rushed to get completed.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Was the story of Proxy and his uh internal main
- 39:29Speaker 2: program Yeah, his his his main programming, but also his
- 39:35Speaker 2: inducer that helps him transform.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Because then like I think it was Leah that was like, oh, well,
- 39:42Speaker 2: maybe it's doing it on purpose, Like there is a reasoning.
- 39:47Speaker 1: I'll tell you something, I love that aspect of it,
- 39:49Speaker 1: but it wasn't exploring enough to get.
- 39:51Speaker 2: It and it didn't really go anywhere. That was another
- 39:54Speaker 2: problem is that like there there was nothing really there
- 39:58Speaker 2: for like Juno to like learn a lesson or something
- 40:01Speaker 2: out of it. Right, So that was a little you know,
- 40:06Speaker 2: frustrating as well. And then, like you said, the downhill
- 40:12Speaker 2: of stark Killer is literally every chapter that stark Killer
- 40:17Speaker 2: was in literally was the exact same thing was said
- 40:21Speaker 2: over and over and over again. I love Juno, but
- 40:24Speaker 2: I'm not really star Killer, but I am star Killer.
- 40:27Speaker 2: I need to find my own way. Oh, I can't
- 40:29Speaker 2: go back to the dark side. Rinse repeat, rinse repeat,
- 40:34Speaker 2: rinse repeat.
- 40:35Speaker 1: And we're about to jump into our third ad.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Y'all.
- 40:39Speaker 1: We promise, we'll be right back, we promise, and like
- 40:44Speaker 1: you got it.
- 40:44Speaker 2: You gotta go somewhere else with it, like you have
- 40:47Speaker 2: to do something. And I understand their their hands are
- 40:50Speaker 2: tied with the script of the of the game, Like yeah,
- 40:55Speaker 2: but at that point I'm asking the developers, like, is
- 40:58Speaker 2: this how it's gonna be when I play the game,
- 41:00Speaker 2: because this is gonna be kind of annoying.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Yeah, and his most promising chapter was his chapter with
- 41:07Speaker 1: Yoda and like the Dark Side Cave because you get
- 41:12Speaker 1: like the little snippets of what his character can do
- 41:16Speaker 1: more of that kind of thing. But then it's just
- 41:21Speaker 1: flat the rest of the way or downhill, like and
- 41:25Speaker 1: I hate saying that. You guys know, I am not
- 41:27Speaker 1: a negative book reviewer person. I'm going to try to
- 41:30Speaker 1: find the positivity and everything. Juno's story is the best
- 41:33Speaker 1: part of.
- 41:33Speaker 2: This, like because there's also like the idea of like, oh,
- 41:41Speaker 2: we got to keep secrets with this. Juno can't know
- 41:45Speaker 2: that you're alive, but like we're gonna have to force
- 41:48Speaker 2: our way into kind of letting her know that you're alive,
- 41:52Speaker 2: but we also can't let you know that we're all
- 41:56Speaker 2: doing this for the rebellion. And like it just got
- 41:59Speaker 2: so convolution in places. Again, I think that this is
- 42:07Speaker 2: definitely a story that they could have said, Hey, the
- 42:12Speaker 2: best thing we have going for us is the nostalgia.
- 42:17Speaker 2: And Katie can't hear a single thing that I'm saying.
- 42:20Speaker 1: I can't hear you. My headphones just died. They've been
- 42:23Speaker 1: telling me, you have you need to charge your headphones.
- 42:27Speaker 1: I'm at seventy ten, Like, what the heck, I'm gonna
- 42:32Speaker 1: go find a charging cable so I can plug these in.
- 42:35Speaker 2: Okay, I yeah, I will. I will still be talking
- 42:39Speaker 2: here because I do have a little bit of a ramp.
- 42:42Speaker 2: I think the best thing that the publication could have
- 42:46Speaker 2: said with this is, hey, maybe nostalgia is the best
- 42:52Speaker 2: thing we have going for us, and they should have
- 42:54Speaker 2: put Sam in the narrator's chair for this. And it
- 43:01Speaker 2: hurts because I think that people see the Force Unleashed
- 43:06Speaker 2: almost I'm not gonna say to the tea that they do,
- 43:11Speaker 2: but almost in the exact same vein as Kotor video game.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Like Star Wars. Video game fans are absolutely insane, and
- 43:24Speaker 2: they sometimes see those games as like, oh, this is
- 43:30Speaker 2: the definitive Star Wars that I want to see. And
- 43:34Speaker 2: that's why so many people have this crazed idea of
- 43:40Speaker 2: we need Star Killer in live action. We need Star
- 43:43Speaker 2: Killer in live action. And although I would really love
- 43:48Speaker 2: to see it, I don't know if current lucasfilm could
- 43:57Speaker 2: fill the shoes of what the original Forced Unleashed was
- 44:04Speaker 2: supposed to be. You know.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Yeah, And I honestly don't know. So when did Sam?
- 44:11Speaker 1: When did Sam start on the Clone Warsh because that
- 44:18Speaker 1: could have been the other thing is because Sam was
- 44:20Speaker 1: so unknown that they just were like, okay.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Like, uh's I believe this. I believe Unleashed was before Clones.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I do know that, so.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Because I know he was really popular on a British
- 44:37Speaker 2: show called or I think it was actually the americanized
- 44:41Speaker 2: version of the British show called Being Human that ran
- 44:45Speaker 2: for like I think five or six seasons. Uh, and
- 44:49Speaker 2: then he got the Force of New Yeah, so.
- 44:56Speaker 1: He was on Star Wars the Clone Warsh twenty eleven
- 44:59Speaker 1: to fourteen, so right after after unfortun Leash, and like
- 45:06Speaker 1: Delray just now had him do like the mall audio books,
- 45:12Speaker 1: So I don't know how much like they would have
- 45:19Speaker 1: really had him do at that point. He did a
- 45:22Speaker 1: lot of video game stuff. Well.
- 45:27Speaker 2: It's really funny because I just recently saw a I
- 45:30Speaker 2: think it was either on Instagram reels or on U
- 45:34Speaker 2: on TikTok, but he literally got the gig for Forced
- 45:39Speaker 2: Unleashed because of a random concept artist coincidentally made the
- 45:46Speaker 2: character look just like him. And so like the person
- 45:51Speaker 2: who I believe was either a friend of Sam's or
- 45:55Speaker 2: his actual agent was sitting in the room and he's like, Oh,
- 45:59Speaker 2: that kind of looks like a guy that I know,
- 46:02Speaker 2: and that's how he got the job. So like it's
- 46:06Speaker 2: all just coincidental for him, which I love because his
- 46:10Speaker 2: career has just boomed since then. But I I really
- 46:19Speaker 2: wish they could have done him using the voice for this,
- 46:25Speaker 2: because I do think like and I think it would
- 46:28Speaker 2: have been a little bit weaker on the juno parts,
- 46:31Speaker 2: but to at least have him in all of his
- 46:36Speaker 2: charismatic emotions with Star Killer.
- 46:41Speaker 1: And who knows, maybe they will get him back for
- 46:44Speaker 1: an anniversary edition. I think with the fact that he's
- 46:48Speaker 1: still engrossed in Star Wars, I think that's a complete possibility. Yeah,
- 46:55Speaker 1: But like I do think John Davis is an exceptional
- 47:00Speaker 1: audiobook narrated I don't want to give him crap for this.
- 47:03Speaker 1: I do think it's just expectations are set knowing this
- 47:06Speaker 1: is a character played by Sam white Ware that you're like, oh,
- 47:09Speaker 1: there's gonna be all this emotion in the performance, and
- 47:13Speaker 1: there's it's just not because this is an audiobook read
- 47:18Speaker 1: so but like his mall audiobook Shadow Hunter, which was
- 47:25Speaker 1: released in twenty two, yeah, superb. Like Sam, what We're
- 47:29Speaker 1: killed in so we know he can do audiobooks. It's
- 47:34Speaker 1: just a matter of I guess if he wants to.
- 47:37Speaker 1: I do know I would definitely at least pick up
- 47:41Speaker 1: an adaptation with his name on it, so I would
- 47:44Speaker 1: duplicate purchase random else like not.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Only that, like I do think that, Like, uh, for one,
- 47:55Speaker 2: you have these new Essential Legends published right with the
- 48:00Speaker 2: new cover art and everything else. So that's one thing.
- 48:04Speaker 2: But if you were to come out on the twentieth
- 48:08Speaker 2: anniversary and literally just have like a TikTok video or
- 48:13Speaker 2: an Instagram or whatever with literally just his voice and
- 48:19Speaker 2: then like either the like him in the sound booth
- 48:26Speaker 2: or like have the Audible or the Penguin Random House
- 48:30Speaker 2: audiobook like symbol like just pop up or fade into black. Like.
- 48:36Speaker 2: People would get so excited over this. So I think
- 48:42Speaker 2: it would be a smart idea.
- 48:45Speaker 1: We will see. I mean, they did killer stuff for
- 48:48Speaker 1: Revenge of the Sith.
- 48:49Speaker 2: Yeah, so who else and hopefully the I will say this,
- 48:54Speaker 2: hopefully the very wishy washy are they? Are? They not?
- 49:00Speaker 2: Idea of Kotor does not prevent them from making that
- 49:05Speaker 2: kind of decision about the Force unleashed?
- 49:09Speaker 1: Yeah, who knows. I don't honestly have anything else to
- 49:13Speaker 1: say other than I do think the time span where
- 49:18Speaker 1: this takes place, this Wikipedia has Force Unleashed and Force
- 49:23Speaker 1: Unleashed two taking place between three BBY and one BBY.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I think that probably should have been shifted back three
- 49:31Speaker 1: or four years, because it honestly feels like the rebellion
- 49:35Speaker 1: didn't get any time to breathe. And we know from
- 49:38Speaker 1: canon the rebellion gets time to breathe.
- 49:41Speaker 2: Well, not only that, but like it they do, and
- 49:46Speaker 2: they don't because like in the middle, like in the
- 49:50Speaker 2: very beginning, like Coda is thought to be dead, yeah,
- 49:55Speaker 2: because of a dramatic mission, right, and of course in
- 49:59Speaker 2: times of war that that just happens. So, like you
- 50:02Speaker 2: have this idea that the rebellion is established enough to
- 50:07Speaker 2: have an organizational meeting whenever they need one, but they
- 50:13Speaker 2: are still always on their toes because they are in
- 50:16Speaker 2: the midst of war.
- 50:17Speaker 1: So and the fact that Star Killer's death in the
- 50:22Speaker 1: first Force Unleashed basically created the rebellions where we're at
- 50:29Speaker 1: at the beginning of this novel doesn't really It seems
- 50:35Speaker 1: like we've still been going for like four or five years,
- 50:37Speaker 1: even though they're still in disarray. Yeah, it still seems
- 50:41Speaker 1: like they've been going longer for six months than six months,
- 50:44Speaker 1: because that's what everything says online is like, oh yeah,
- 50:47Speaker 1: this takes place six months after the Force of Lesion.
- 50:49Speaker 2: Wow, Like I think it would have been better, like
- 50:56Speaker 2: genuinely if Juno was long dead, if Proxy was you know,
- 51:02Speaker 2: just coming back from you know, being asleep for so
- 51:06Speaker 2: many years, there being somebody who is like a long
- 51:11Speaker 2: lost relative of Juneo that the Clone is now obsessed
- 51:15Speaker 2: over because he thinks it's still Juno. Like even something
- 51:18Speaker 2: like that, I'm still you know, just poling stuff out
- 51:20Speaker 2: of my ass at this point, but like separate it
- 51:24Speaker 2: far enough because like even one thing that I was
- 51:29Speaker 2: kind of annoyed with with Coda, when talking about, oh,
- 51:34Speaker 2: the Rebellion doesn't need to know that you're a clone,
- 51:38Speaker 2: he was like, oh, well, like not a lot of
- 51:41Speaker 2: people know about you, so it's fine. It's like, well,
- 51:46Speaker 2: like they either know about me or they don't. Like,
- 51:50Speaker 2: if it's gonna be a big deal, make it a
- 51:52Speaker 2: big deal. If it's not gonna be a big deal,
- 51:54Speaker 2: don't make it a big deal, you know' That's what
- 51:57Speaker 2: it was a little wishy washy with, Yeah.
- 52:00Speaker 1: There's no commitment, and I feel like, especially in a
- 52:04Speaker 1: video game, you need commitment, and so then the novelization
- 52:08Speaker 1: should have reflected that. Again, I'm not a video game person,
- 52:11Speaker 1: so you can tell me I'm wrong, that's fine, whatever,
- 52:15Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think that is it for our review, guys,
- 52:23Speaker 2: A little bit into what's going to happen in well,
- 52:29Speaker 2: next week we have the I have it up right
- 52:34Speaker 2: here where.
- 52:34Speaker 4: The Higher Republic Adventures volume fo yes, and then actually
- 52:43Speaker 4: a other recording that we're not gonna say unless you're
- 52:47Speaker 4: of course, a part of our Patreon.
- 52:50Speaker 2: Is also going to be immediately after, but we're not
- 52:54Speaker 2: going to be recording that live, guys. So just so
- 52:59Speaker 2: everybody is a where we are pushing a lot of
- 53:01Speaker 2: Patreon content recently. So if you like Star Wars and
- 53:06Speaker 2: you would like to support us and our geek Ultimate
- 53:09Speaker 2: Alliance network, go check us out on Patreon.
- 53:14Speaker 1: So, and then September fourth, Clay is on vacation, so
- 53:18Speaker 1: we are taking the week off, and so we will
- 53:22Speaker 1: be dropping our review of Echoes of Fear, the Higher
- 53:27Speaker 1: Public Adventures, and the Higher Republic Adventures. Oh gosh, it's
- 53:33Speaker 1: Dispatches of the Occlusion zone. Yes, I kept wanting to say,
- 53:37Speaker 1: like Outgate dispatches, and I was like, that's not right.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Yright, And honestly, guys, I am most likely going to
- 53:48Speaker 2: be turning off all of my notifications and just trying
- 53:53Speaker 2: to enjoy vacations. So this will be my first time
- 53:59Speaker 2: like taking an actual vacation in a very long time,
- 54:05Speaker 2: I think, since like I think the last time I
- 54:07Speaker 2: actually like traveled for a vacation was twenty nineteen, so
- 54:12Speaker 2: before I was even at the GUA, so it's been
- 54:15Speaker 2: a while. So with that, guys, thank you so much
- 54:20Speaker 2: for being here and supporting us. Of course, you can
- 54:23Speaker 2: always follow me at fanboy Clay on any and all
- 54:30Speaker 2: social media. I'm mostly gonna be active on Blue Sky, Instagram, TikTok,
- 54:35Speaker 2: and threads. TikTok is kind of dwindling, but that's more
- 54:42Speaker 2: so because I have now heard that the United States
- 54:45Speaker 2: is going to have its own like us only TikTok,
- 54:50Speaker 2: and I think that's stupid, so I'm not going to
- 54:53Speaker 2: be a part of that at all. But in those accounts,
- 55:00Speaker 2: I'm still going strong with reading and getting back into comics.
- 55:05Speaker 2: I've read my first Superman comic in a year this morning,
- 55:11Speaker 2: and it felt really good. So you can most likely
- 55:16Speaker 2: see a lot of my hot takes or not hot
- 55:19Speaker 2: takes of certain DC, Marvel and indie comics on those platforms,
- 55:26Speaker 2: and I will go ahead and share it because I
- 55:28Speaker 2: am currently gonna be dealing with most of the social media.
- 55:33Speaker 2: We are back on Instagram and on Blue Sky what
- 55:41Speaker 2: and Katie last, but she also has to somewhat manage
- 55:45Speaker 2: it because she has all of the like confirmation stuff,
- 55:49Speaker 2: dealing with the emails and stuff, so like I have
- 55:52Speaker 2: to text her, Katie, I can't get in. Can you
- 55:54Speaker 2: give me the code? So we I like the first
- 56:00Speaker 2: post I think was yesterday. I put both Katie and
- 56:03Speaker 2: myself as collaborators on that post. So if you're following us,
- 56:07Speaker 2: you will see some of the stuff that is coming
- 56:09Speaker 2: up on the Star Wars Alliance Twitter account. But go follow.

- 57:01Speaker 1: Remember I'm terrible at social media.
- 57:03Speaker 2: Now.
- 57:04Speaker 1: Apparently I shared the post that claim made on my
- 57:07Speaker 1: story today and he put like a he put like
- 57:13Speaker 1: a story up yesterday and I still didn't share that.
- 57:16Speaker 1: I'm just a slackers.
- 57:19Speaker 2: I'm fine, It's totally fine. There are some great people
- 57:26Speaker 2: in our Star Wars community that has already started to
- 57:28Speaker 2: follow us on Blue Sky, and I think have already
- 57:32Speaker 2: started to follow us on Instagram, so they will share
- 57:37Speaker 2: for you, Katie.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Thank you, guys. No, in all seriousness, I'm trying to
- 57:43Speaker 1: stay off my phone. My daughter made speech therapy, so
- 57:46Speaker 1: even more now it's important that I'm off my phone
- 57:50Speaker 1: and she is up and everything. So yeah, but if
- 57:54Speaker 1: you shoot me a message, I will get back to
- 57:56Speaker 1: I promise. So with that, guys, I would wish Yeah,
- 58:00Speaker 1: I wonder if everyone a great day or night, whatever
- 58:02Speaker 1: time the day you are listening or watching, and we
- 58:04Speaker 1: will see you next time. May it forced to be
- 58:06Speaker 1: with you
