- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with her Radio. It's time for the almost Famous podcast. Today,
- 0:09Speaker 1: Ashley and I are starting our first official week of
- 0:14Speaker 1: off season. This is kind of a fun time for us. Yeah,
- 0:17Speaker 1: but it's also the shortest off scene, the shortest off
- 0:20Speaker 1: seasons a month. It's a month. Oh, I guess it's
- 0:24Speaker 1: not a month. The show is starting late this year,
- 0:26Speaker 1: it's like mid January. Okay, so we have a couple
- 0:29Speaker 1: of weeks of the off season. We love the off
- 0:31Speaker 1: season because it's time that I get to catch up
- 0:33Speaker 1: with you on the show and get to hear you know,
- 0:36Speaker 1: what's going on in your life. And then also we
- 0:38Speaker 1: get to catch up with past you know, participants that
- 0:41Speaker 1: were on the show. And then we get to talk
- 0:43Speaker 1: about headlines and really dive into the headlines because it
- 0:46Speaker 1: feels like to me, you tell me if I'm wrong.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Headlines really pick up when the show is not airing
- 0:52Speaker 1: well because a lot of the times we get headlines
- 0:55Speaker 1: during the season that are kind of closely related and
- 0:59Speaker 1: maybe we'll get like a new tidbit from a storyline unfolding.
- 1:04Speaker 1: But during the off season we get to find out
- 1:06Speaker 1: what's actually going on with the couples that we just
- 1:10Speaker 1: saw form exactly. Well, we've we've done our part in
- 1:15Speaker 1: creating some headlines so far since Paradise is over with
- 1:19Speaker 1: Genevieve and Johnny, some of those interviews, Uh, you know,
- 1:24Speaker 1: our hope here Ashley too, is these interviews. It's it's
- 1:28Speaker 1: it's hard sometimes not to pick sides. We don't want
- 1:30Speaker 1: to pick sides because there's always, as we said during
- 1:34Speaker 1: especially Johnny interview, there's always you know, multiple sides of
- 1:37Speaker 1: the truth. There's my truth, there's your truth, and then
- 1:39Speaker 1: there's the truth. And so it's just sharing, you know,
- 1:43Speaker 1: what everybody's story is and help you know, hopefully listeners
- 1:47Speaker 1: can make that conclusion. But Victoria, who was what Johnny
- 1:52Speaker 1: during Paradise, has not stopped making headlines. Uh. So we're
- 1:56Speaker 1: gonna talk about Victoria today. We're gonna talk about uh
- 1:58Speaker 1: some exciting news with some bachelination engagements. But before we do,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I want to tell you actually about something I came
- 2:04Speaker 1: across just a few weeks ago. So a few weeks ago,
- 2:08Speaker 1: I spent time I think I shared it on here
- 2:10Speaker 1: at a pastor's conference like retreat at the Lost Valley
- 2:15Speaker 1: Ranch in Colorado, it's pastors from all the country come
- 2:18Speaker 1: in and the whole idea of it is to finish well. Obviously,
- 2:22Speaker 1: nobody listening to this is not aware of the issues
- 2:26Speaker 1: that exists sometimes in leadership within the church and the
- 2:29Speaker 1: things that can happen. Um and and this whole retreat
- 2:34Speaker 1: is just to get people together to love on each other,
- 2:37Speaker 1: holding accounta will have a lot of fun together and
- 2:39Speaker 1: then share what's going on. At this conference, I met
- 2:43Speaker 1: somebody who inspired men hear why. He has started an
- 2:50Speaker 1: app called Perposity. And I'm sharing this not because it's
- 2:54Speaker 1: an ad on the podcast and I necessarily I wouldn't
- 2:57Speaker 1: want to take their money. But here's what this idea is.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I'm just gonna encourage all of our I'm gonna encourage
- 3:03Speaker 1: all of our I Heart family to go out and
- 3:05Speaker 1: check it out. Because here's the idea of this. School
- 3:08Speaker 1: systems and nonprofits can post needs within their community for
- 3:11Speaker 1: individual people like, hey, this kid needs shoes, he needs
- 3:14Speaker 1: a gift for the holidays. Uh, he's not gonna have
- 3:17Speaker 1: food for Christmas now his family can't afford it. And
- 3:20Speaker 1: so it's posted on Proposity and then um it's spelled
- 3:24Speaker 1: let me just spell it for everybody, so if they're interested,
- 3:27Speaker 1: you can go and find it. It's p U R
- 3:29Speaker 1: P O s I T Y. It's an app and
- 3:32Speaker 1: you can just pay for it. Just go on, click it,
- 3:35Speaker 1: take it off and it's a tax deductible donation. Uh.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And then you'll get a little follow up hopefully from
- 3:42Speaker 1: the person that you gave it to, where the school
- 3:43Speaker 1: system or the nonprofit that posted it, and you can
- 3:46Speaker 1: just cross off all these needs off the list. So
- 3:48Speaker 1: I think it's an important thing to share this holiday
- 3:50Speaker 1: season because for as fortunate as we are to know
- 3:53Speaker 1: that we're gonna spend holidays with family, probably have good drink,
- 3:56Speaker 1: good food, good times together. UM, there's a lot of
- 3:59Speaker 1: people out there who will not be experiencing that same thing,
- 4:02Speaker 1: and we need to be aware of that. And this
- 4:03Speaker 1: is one way, one small way or one big way
- 4:06Speaker 1: that you can help. Here's what I want to do.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Here's my dream for this. Actually proposity UM has set
- 4:13Speaker 1: up the system where you can build a team, so
- 4:16Speaker 1: we could actually have like an almost famous team on
- 4:18Speaker 1: this app, and we could show how much our team
- 4:21Speaker 1: has done for the communities around us throughout the year,
- 4:25Speaker 1: so we can give updates like, hey, the almost famous
- 4:27Speaker 1: family has given x amount of money and done these
- 4:29Speaker 1: kinds of things for these people. How cool would that be?
- 4:32Speaker 1: If I love this idea? I love this idea. I
- 4:36Speaker 1: guess multiple questions. How is it different than go fund me?
- 4:41Speaker 1: And is it um? Can you like make sure it's legit?
- 4:46Speaker 1: Because I know with like go fund me, sometimes you're
- 4:49Speaker 1: donating things You're like, man, I really hope this story
- 4:51Speaker 1: is true not a money grab. Definitely good questions to things.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I think the difference UM with this app over go
- 5:02Speaker 1: fund me is go fund me is an incredible thing, right,
- 5:05Speaker 1: We use it for a lot of this stuff, like
- 5:07Speaker 1: Connolly's cause my buddy who with als, we use to
- 5:09Speaker 1: go go fund me for that. This is a lot
- 5:12Speaker 1: easier way to kind of see all the needs. They're
- 5:14Speaker 1: listed out, and so you're not like have You're not
- 5:16Speaker 1: having to see the need and go research it or
- 5:19Speaker 1: know the title of the the go fund me page
- 5:21Speaker 1: to find it. You just see, hey, so and so
- 5:24Speaker 1: in this area needs new shoes, and you can just
- 5:25Speaker 1: click and go. Now here's the way, you know it's verified.
- 5:28Speaker 1: The only people that can post needs our school systems,
- 5:32Speaker 1: So like the administrators and verified nonprofits, So nonprofits that
- 5:38Speaker 1: have gone through a verification process for this app proposity
- 5:42Speaker 1: and then they can go in UH and post the
- 5:46Speaker 1: needs that they see in their communities. So it's verified.
- 5:49Speaker 1: There's like a verified system that's awesome. So you say
- 5:52Speaker 1: it's community based, so like I can sign up, like
- 5:55Speaker 1: kind of put my ZIP code in and then find
- 5:57Speaker 1: people in the area that needs specific things like say,
- 6:02Speaker 1: say I'm having a baby shower, I get two strollers
- 6:06Speaker 1: and I need to give one away. I can find
- 6:08Speaker 1: someone in the area that needs a stroller. That's so amazing. Oh,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I think it's awesome. And and the reason I'm sharing
- 6:15Speaker 1: it here is because, you know, Almost Famous has been
- 6:18Speaker 1: an incredible journey for us, and we talked about all
- 6:21Speaker 1: the time. We're you know, we're what six or seven
- 6:23Speaker 1: years into this thing. Um millions, I mean tens upon
- 6:26Speaker 1: tens of millions of downloads and people that have listened
- 6:30Speaker 1: to this show. And it's really fun to do. We
- 6:33Speaker 1: love doing it, but there's always something about this season
- 6:37Speaker 1: where it makes us take a step back because you
- 6:39Speaker 1: hear and you know that you're fortunate to be able
- 6:42Speaker 1: to do what you're gonna do. During the holiday season,
- 6:44Speaker 1: and I think it would just be awesome throughout the year,
- 6:46Speaker 1: almost famous could could hold each other accountable boss so
- 6:50Speaker 1: celebrate that this listener group is doing incredible things in
- 6:54Speaker 1: their community. And this app just makes I guess I'm
- 6:56Speaker 1: sharing about this app because it just makes it easy
- 6:57Speaker 1: to track, like it's very easy, Like it would all
- 7:00Speaker 1: be done for us. So it's an idea to throw around.
- 7:02Speaker 1: And I would love to ask our listeners if this
- 7:04Speaker 1: is something they would be interested in doing as a
- 7:07Speaker 1: family and as a as kind of a group of
- 7:10Speaker 1: people who love the show, listen to this show and
- 7:14Speaker 1: uh and also want to do good in their communities.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I love that. I have one more question. Is it
- 7:19Speaker 1: up and running now? Very much? So? Very much? So. Yeah.
- 7:23Speaker 1: You can go find it around the app store, you
- 7:25Speaker 1: can go to the website, you can kind of explore
- 7:27Speaker 1: itwide nationwide. And they have some good corporate sponsors too
- 7:32Speaker 1: that are you know, that are obviously giving uh big gifts, um,
- 7:38Speaker 1: you know to this holiday season. So I just think
- 7:40Speaker 1: it's cool. And I got to meet the founder and
- 7:42Speaker 1: he was awesome and he's just he has a good
- 7:44Speaker 1: heart and I talked to him a couple of times
- 7:46Speaker 1: over the last couple weeks, we're gonna try to do
- 7:47Speaker 1: some stuff at Generous with him. I want to do
- 7:50Speaker 1: some stuff on my own with with them, uh, just
- 7:53Speaker 1: because I think it's cool and I think it would
- 7:54Speaker 1: be a great way to do something good. It's so
- 7:58Speaker 1: hard to celebrate the good. We don't hear good news.
- 8:01Speaker 1: We did during COVID, Remember, like, what was it the
- 8:03Speaker 1: good news network or the good news news station that
- 8:06Speaker 1: was blowing up because it was good news and we
- 8:08Speaker 1: needed it. Well, why did we stop. Let's start sharing
- 8:12Speaker 1: good news again and then start trying to help our
- 8:14Speaker 1: neighbor out. I think it'd be cool. So I love
- 8:18Speaker 1: this because I like always have boxes of donations and
- 8:22Speaker 1: I don't like love giving it to the donation stores,
- 8:26Speaker 1: you know, because I'm like, is it just gonna end
- 8:30Speaker 1: up like on a shelf and just sit there and
- 8:34Speaker 1: the person who really needs it it's not gonna be
- 8:36Speaker 1: able to find it. So I like the way that
- 8:39Speaker 1: this is like specifics it definitely. Yeah, And and hopefully
- 8:43Speaker 1: you get to follow up from the person that you
- 8:45Speaker 1: helped out, Like hopefully you get that like little gift
- 8:48Speaker 1: behind the scenes where they say thank you and you
- 8:49Speaker 1: can say Hey, no problem, just like, just happy to
- 8:53Speaker 1: do it anytime. It's easy, it's fun. Well think about it.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Thanks for Yeah, either way, I would love just it's
- 9:00Speaker 1: fun sometimes to talk about the really cool stuff going
- 9:02Speaker 1: on around around the world. So just either way, listeners
- 9:06Speaker 1: gone and check it out. I think it'd be fun
- 9:08Speaker 1: to share with your families. Your family can create a
- 9:10Speaker 1: team if you want to create a family team where
- 9:11Speaker 1: they're spread out all across the country and you're like,
- 9:14Speaker 1: I want the Shepherd family to track what we do
- 9:17Speaker 1: throughout the year, great, go do it on this app. Anyways,
- 9:20Speaker 1: that's it. Just give me gives the name again preposity,
- 9:24Speaker 1: so it's p U R P O S I T
- 9:28Speaker 1: y um. Yeah. They don't even know him doing this,
- 9:32Speaker 1: so they're gonna be hopefully they're excited. I hope they
- 9:35Speaker 1: don't mind me doing this. I don't think they will. Yeah.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Also another thing to celebrate in the intro, UH, we
- 9:42Speaker 1: have to say that Whalen's mother, my dog's mother, Gracie Um,
- 9:47Speaker 1: daughter of Elise Uh. Elise is an incredible human who
- 9:52Speaker 1: had a really rough year in Denver. Moves to Denver.
- 9:54Speaker 1: UH finds Gracie on the side of a road, Gracie's
- 9:58Speaker 1: abused and mounting tre and she gets Gracie back up
- 10:02Speaker 1: to health. Gracie falls in love with a lease at
- 10:05Speaker 1: Lease find a Lease, finds out that Gracie has eight
- 10:08Speaker 1: puppies inside of her belly. Whalon is one of them.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Very thankful for that. And then a couple of months
- 10:13Speaker 1: later finds out that Gracie has cancer and has head
- 10:15Speaker 1: cancer for a while. And so yesterday, twelve five, Whalen's
- 10:22Speaker 1: first birthday, Gracie had her last chemo treatment. So that's
- 10:26Speaker 1: something to celebrate, a big deal. They came up and
- 10:28Speaker 1: played for a while. It was really fun. And is
- 10:30Speaker 1: she cancer free? I would imagine, I don't know, I
- 10:35Speaker 1: mean last chemo treatment. I know the tumor was shrinking
- 10:39Speaker 1: and it was working, and then obviously, yeah, I guess
- 10:43Speaker 1: it would have been a very obvious question to ask,
- 10:45Speaker 1: But at the same time, it was like a celebration,
- 10:47Speaker 1: so I just assumed, yeah, yeah, it's always fun. Is
- 10:53Speaker 1: she young? How old she is? Like two years old
- 10:57Speaker 1: she was when she was pregnant. Yeah, that's just a
- 10:59Speaker 1: little but a little pregnant baby, a baby having babies,
- 11:04Speaker 1: a baby having babies, and now I have one of
- 11:07Speaker 1: those babies, and let me tell you, he is a handful. Yes,
- 11:12Speaker 1: he loves being loved. Yeah. I remember one time I
- 11:16Speaker 1: told you that dogs were harder than babies, and I
- 11:20Speaker 1: was sorely mistaken. I tell you about it when, Um,
- 11:27Speaker 1: I said that when he was a new born, And
- 11:28Speaker 1: now I realized that newborns are so easy comparably, you
- 11:32Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like all they do is eating, sleep.
- 11:36Speaker 1: We also need to catch up a little bit with
- 11:38Speaker 1: you because I saw on your Instagram my mommy melt down. Yeah,
- 11:41Speaker 1: you had a mom meltdown and uh, I know a
- 11:44Speaker 1: lot of people probably could relate with that. Um, But
- 11:47Speaker 1: how are you holding up? How's Jared? How's the family
- 11:50Speaker 1: holding up? We haven't checked in a while. Oh my gosh,
- 11:52Speaker 1: it was corel. It was just like a pyle on.
- 11:55Speaker 1: We just couldn't catch up. We just had so much
- 11:58Speaker 1: work on different ends, and we had no quality time
- 12:01Speaker 1: like together as a couple, as a family. It was
- 12:05Speaker 1: like every time we'd be home together, it was like, Okay,
- 12:08Speaker 1: you watch him so I can do this, and you
- 12:10Speaker 1: watch him so I could do that. And it just
- 12:13Speaker 1: felt like even if we were like hanging together, we
- 12:15Speaker 1: just were weighed down by all the things that we
- 12:17Speaker 1: needed to do, and it was always a catch up
- 12:21Speaker 1: because you know, when it's it's all. It was just
- 12:26Speaker 1: always like it was all. We were just always trying
- 12:28Speaker 1: to catch up mode. And now we've had a nanny.
- 12:34Speaker 1: We've had full time nanny help pretty much full time.
- 12:37Speaker 1: It's like thirty hours a week for a couple of
- 12:40Speaker 1: weeks now and oh my gosh, what a game changer.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Do you hear him screaming in the background, Yeah, he's
- 12:50Speaker 1: those are most most screams are fun. Yeah, so we
- 12:56Speaker 1: it's just a whole lifestyle change. But that day that
- 13:00Speaker 1: I had the mommy built up was the day that
- 13:05Speaker 1: we hired um with the full time thirty hour yeah help.
- 13:10Speaker 1: And it's just been so nice because now when we're together,
- 13:14Speaker 1: like at night, like just say, like last night, Jared
- 13:17Speaker 1: and I got to watch the Buccaneers game together, uninterrupted,
- 13:20Speaker 1: decorated Christmas tree, had pizza, relaxed. It was fun and
- 13:26Speaker 1: it was because we didn't have to catch up on
- 13:28Speaker 1: things that we weren't able to do when Dawson was awake,
- 13:32Speaker 1: because previously it was like if he wasn't napping, we
- 13:36Speaker 1: were entertaining him. Yeah, that's and that's important, right. I Mean,
- 13:41Speaker 1: the the one advice that Jessica and I got from
- 13:44Speaker 1: when we got married was you have to find time
- 13:46Speaker 1: for each other and you have to go on date
- 13:48Speaker 1: nights and and those type of things. You have to
- 13:50Speaker 1: continue to connect because you are the unit, right you
- 13:52Speaker 1: are the foundation of the family. Uh So, mentally, physically, emotionally,
- 13:59Speaker 1: are are you feeling better? Much better? I don't know
- 14:03Speaker 1: if better is the right word, or do are you
- 14:05Speaker 1: feeling like maybe a little more peace or you're still
- 14:08Speaker 1: feeling kind of like exhausted. No, I feel so much.
- 14:11Speaker 1: We feel so much better as of the past couple
- 14:14Speaker 1: of weeks, but for a while just felt like we
- 14:16Speaker 1: were truly just drowning. M Do you have any advice
- 14:20Speaker 1: Ashley for people out there who are new parents who
- 14:25Speaker 1: maybe cannot get a nanny. Maybe that isn't an option,
- 14:28Speaker 1: you know, I know we're so blessed to be able
- 14:31Speaker 1: to do that. So many people to suggest it to me.
- 14:34Speaker 1: You know, an in house daycare where it's like a
- 14:38Speaker 1: small daycare where you know, there's like six kids and
- 14:41Speaker 1: there's more one on one attention, and it just feels
- 14:44Speaker 1: like a safe, cozy spot for kids of this age,
- 14:49Speaker 1: and let's see. I mean, I think I would probably
- 14:53Speaker 1: tell yourself if you're like out there you're pregnant now,
- 14:57Speaker 1: or you have a one under a year or whatever.
- 15:01Speaker 1: If you work at home, which so many people work
- 15:03Speaker 1: from home post COVID, that like, just know that you're
- 15:07Speaker 1: still working from home, like you're working and that doesn't
- 15:10Speaker 1: and you know, just because you don't go to an
- 15:13Speaker 1: office doesn't mean that you're going to be able to
- 15:17Speaker 1: watch the kid seven, So feel feel fine that you
- 15:25Speaker 1: need help when you're working, because for me, I just
- 15:29Speaker 1: felt like, oh, is it silly that I'm going to
- 15:31Speaker 1: need help while I'm sitting in a room upstairs. I
- 15:35Speaker 1: thought that anybody would think that I was that was silly,
- 15:38Speaker 1: and it's absolutely not, especially when you realize how demanding
- 15:42Speaker 1: taking care of a child is. Yeah. Um, but yeah,
- 15:46Speaker 1: Like the solution as far as what to do, I mean,
- 15:50Speaker 1: you have to find help in some way, and maybe
- 15:54Speaker 1: it's enough just to say hey, if you cannot, um,
- 15:57Speaker 1: you can't get in nanny if you can't find help, um,
- 16:01Speaker 1: Ashley uh is in it, you know, with you, She's saying, hey,
- 16:06Speaker 1: I'm proud of you. You're doing great. You're keep going.
- 16:11Speaker 1: We know it's not easy. Um, we know it's exhausting.
- 16:14Speaker 1: There's like empathy now that you have I'm sure for
- 16:17Speaker 1: those people so much. Yeah, it's just I know it's
- 16:21Speaker 1: kind of cliche, but just know you're not alone in this.
- 16:25Speaker 1: It's okay to like want your kid and be excited
- 16:29Speaker 1: for your kid to go to bed so you can
- 16:32Speaker 1: have your alone time and like eat a meal like
- 16:35Speaker 1: a hot meal in peace. Don't feel guilty about stuff
- 16:39Speaker 1: like that. And no, I don't know one of my
- 16:42Speaker 1: friends who has kids who doesn't celebrate bedtime. It's like sad,
- 16:46Speaker 1: but also not one of my best friends. Just so
- 16:49Speaker 1: that my favorite time of the day is like eight
- 16:51Speaker 1: o'clock when the kids go to sleep. He can crack
- 16:52Speaker 1: open a beer and sit on the couch with his
- 16:54Speaker 1: wife and just like sit and just like be like
- 16:57Speaker 1: I'm in it, like I'm here now. Um, well, Ash,
- 17:01Speaker 1: we have a headlines to get to. It is off season.
- 17:05Speaker 1: There's no current shows running. Um within Batchel Nation. We
- 17:08Speaker 1: had enough of those. Uh the last couple of months.
- 17:12Speaker 1: We had plenty of hours of watching TV. But we
- 17:15Speaker 1: do have headlines to break down Bachelor Nation. Peeps do
- 17:18Speaker 1: not stop making headlines even though the show is not
- 17:22Speaker 1: running currently. So let's take a break. When we come back,
- 17:25Speaker 1: we're gonna tell you everything going on in Bachelor Nation. Alright,
- 17:38Speaker 1: first headline Bachelor Nations Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo are
- 17:44Speaker 1: taking a major relationship step after scandal. This according to
- 17:49Speaker 1: the online So they're moving in together. Guys, goodness, gracious
- 17:59Speaker 1: in Nashville. What's going and all? Yeah, they're moving to Nashville.
- 18:02Speaker 1: He's leaving New York City. They are meeting each other's
- 18:06Speaker 1: families during the Christmas season, including a stay in Jersey
- 18:12Speaker 1: with Gregg's family for Christmas. So this relationship is is
- 18:18Speaker 1: definitely serious. It feels like there's a lot of chemistry
- 18:22Speaker 1: between the two of them. Uh, you know, I I
- 18:25Speaker 1: as I mentioned last week, I've gotten to be around
- 18:28Speaker 1: Victoria a few times now, Maddie Pruitt's wedding obviously in Vegas.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I think she's a great time. I think she's really
- 18:35Speaker 1: really engaging, a very interesting person to be around. Yeah,
- 18:38Speaker 1: she's funny, she's very funny. I did not at all
- 18:42Speaker 1: expect that she was in a relationship when I last
- 18:46Speaker 1: saw her at Mattie Prue's wedding. But you know, how
- 18:48Speaker 1: do you how do you even know? It just feels
- 18:52Speaker 1: like this relationship, no matter what the backstory, and obviously
- 18:55Speaker 1: we had Johnny on got to hear his story side
- 18:58Speaker 1: of the story, it feels like this is a very
- 19:01Speaker 1: like I want to say, serious relaship, but also like
- 19:04Speaker 1: one that could work. And um, we gotta we gotta
- 19:09Speaker 1: be excited about that. Like they found love, it seems
- 19:12Speaker 1: or I don't know if they're saying that, but at
- 19:14Speaker 1: least they found something good for sure. Yes, yes, they
- 19:18Speaker 1: they found love. No, they truly found love. They talked
- 19:20Speaker 1: about when they found when they actually said the words.
- 19:23Speaker 1: He asked her to be his girlfriend on Halloween. He
- 19:27Speaker 1: jokes that it's the most romantic day of the year.
- 19:29Speaker 1: And then a couple of weeks later, um said it
- 19:34Speaker 1: was a month later, he goes he told her that
- 19:37Speaker 1: he was head over heels in love. If you would have,
- 19:42Speaker 1: like had Greg Grippo in Paradise and say they've never
- 19:46Speaker 1: met each other, I would have said that is a couple.
- 19:48Speaker 1: They're very similar personalities. Uh just from what you know
- 19:52Speaker 1: you can see and what what we know, Um, both
- 19:55Speaker 1: very good looking people, which I don't know how that
- 19:58Speaker 1: much that matters. But I think there's like physic chemistry there,
- 20:01Speaker 1: and I would have said, yeah, this makes sense, like
- 20:04Speaker 1: this relationship makes sense to me. Well, I just wish
- 20:07Speaker 1: that Greg would have done Paradise so that we could
- 20:09Speaker 1: have seen it and there wouldn't have been all this
- 20:13Speaker 1: heartbreak along with it. Yeah, I agree, But I bet
- 20:18Speaker 1: here as weird as it is, because it's just how
- 20:20Speaker 1: the world works. In a year, if they're still together,
- 20:24Speaker 1: we will talk about Greg and Victoria like you know,
- 20:29Speaker 1: it's Greg and Victoria, and we'll kind of forget how
- 20:32Speaker 1: this all starts. I feel like you have an example
- 20:36Speaker 1: in mind, isn't there is there? Um um? I mean,
- 20:43Speaker 1: I mean, I guess it's not really related. It's like
- 20:46Speaker 1: a Caitlin Jason situation where it's like very similar, Yeah,
- 20:51Speaker 1: very similar, Caitlin Jason with Caitlin Sean. That's a great example,
- 20:54Speaker 1: actually is Yes, So not that anyone who's really villainised
- 20:58Speaker 1: in that situation, as you know, I would say that
- 21:01Speaker 1: Victorian mind, there's like maybe a little villainization there on
- 21:04Speaker 1: the finale episode. But I do think that people will
- 21:08Speaker 1: move on if they are a serious couple and for
- 21:11Speaker 1: a year from now and just be supportive. Yeah, and
- 21:13Speaker 1: they didn't have like Caitlin and Jason and Sean that
- 21:15Speaker 1: they didn't have to air it out on through So
- 21:20Speaker 1: it was kind of all you know from a podcast
- 21:22Speaker 1: that Jason and Caitlin did that they were like, oh,
- 21:24Speaker 1: I'm into you, I'm into you, and we don't know
- 21:27Speaker 1: where the Sean Caitlin really should exist was sitting at
- 21:30Speaker 1: that time and if it was good or bad or what.
- 21:32Speaker 1: But yeah, you don't think of Caitlin now with Sean.
- 21:35Speaker 1: You think of Caitlin with Jason, so very similar. Well,
- 21:39Speaker 1: wishing them the best. They are moving to Nashville like
- 21:41Speaker 1: everybody else in the United States. Um, you could have
- 21:47Speaker 1: moved to Nashville soon. I don't know. Not soon soon
- 21:52Speaker 1: is the word there that would stop me. But against it.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I like South Nashville. I like the like country out
- 22:00Speaker 1: of Nashville. Um, but we're really happy in Denver, Like
- 22:04Speaker 1: we have a great place, like just we're in the
- 22:06Speaker 1: mountains and there's elk around it and like I like
- 22:09Speaker 1: that and I talked about all the time. But it's
- 22:10Speaker 1: very relaxing for us. We enjoy I heard all about
- 22:13Speaker 1: the elk. Yes, Okay, Bachelor Nations, Kindle Long engaged Let's
- 22:19Speaker 1: go uh to boyfriend Mitchell. This according to the online
- 22:25Speaker 1: as well. I mean, could we be more excited for anyone? No? Wow?
- 22:31Speaker 1: After last season's Bachelor in Paradise where she had to
- 22:35Speaker 1: watch Joe who just despite what she may have said,
- 22:40Speaker 1: I think that she still had feelings for her and
- 22:45Speaker 1: she had to watch Yes, so she had to watch
- 22:46Speaker 1: somebody who she probably still had feelings for her and
- 22:50Speaker 1: nevertheless had a very serious relationship with fall in love
- 22:54Speaker 1: with someone, and he just got married to that someone, Serena.
- 22:58Speaker 1: And now I think she knows why it didn't happen
- 23:03Speaker 1: between the two of them, and that was because there
- 23:04Speaker 1: is a man out there named Mitchell that is her
- 23:08Speaker 1: perfect compliment in life. Wow. Wow Wow. I saw these
- 23:12Speaker 1: two in real life at Wango Tango got to interview them,
- 23:15Speaker 1: and they definitely made it seem like an engagement was
- 23:18Speaker 1: on the horizon. They just started dating. I think they
- 23:20Speaker 1: met in February. Started dating February. I think it was
- 23:25Speaker 1: kind of like an instant thing. Oh no, they met
- 23:26Speaker 1: a year ago December. Um, they started dating in February.
- 23:31Speaker 1: They were the cutest, like talk about two people cut
- 23:35Speaker 1: from the same cloth. They like had the same brain.
- 23:38Speaker 1: And it's cute because in her message on Instagram her
- 23:41Speaker 1: her caption announcing the engagement, she says, I love your brain,
- 23:46Speaker 1: I loved your family, and I pretty much love every
- 23:49Speaker 1: single thing about you. I'm so incredibly over the moon
- 23:52Speaker 1: that we get to start our epic adventure together in
- 23:54Speaker 1: a new country. I've heard love explained to me by
- 23:58Speaker 1: my parents, and I was so scared that I would
- 24:00Speaker 1: never experience something so wonderful. But with you, love is
- 24:03Speaker 1: so much better than I could have ever imagined it
- 24:06Speaker 1: to be. I feel so lucky and I can't wait
- 24:09Speaker 1: to be officially a sage Lee. I'm just so thrilled
- 24:14Speaker 1: for her. She had to go through so much like oh,
- 24:20Speaker 1: like heart wrench last year. Mm hmmm. I wonder if
- 24:24Speaker 1: we talked to her, I would just imagine that some
- 24:28Speaker 1: of that like heart wrenge, that pain helped her in
- 24:32Speaker 1: one figure out you know, what she needed in a partner.
- 24:35Speaker 1: But then to like if it also encouraged her put
- 24:38Speaker 1: herself out there again, or if it did the opposite.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I don't know, but obviously this relationship happened semi quickly
- 24:46Speaker 1: in timeline wise and it is a very healthy, good relationship.
- 24:49Speaker 1: So I wonder if some of the pain also helped
- 24:53Speaker 1: lead her to something beautiful. Oh I love that. Yeah,
- 24:57Speaker 1: I think it always does. That's why I always tell
- 24:59Speaker 1: people who are to the thick of it of being
- 25:01Speaker 1: single and not wanting to be single. Yeah, I tell them,
- 25:05Speaker 1: you're gonna look back on this and see the beauty
- 25:08Speaker 1: and the pain, and it's really weird to think of.
- 25:12Speaker 1: But when you're when you're out of it and you
- 25:14Speaker 1: find your person, you're like, wow, I survived that. I
- 25:17Speaker 1: got like, I became a stronger person because of it,
- 25:19Speaker 1: and it led me in the direction that I was
- 25:21Speaker 1: supposed to be in here this today. Yeah, somebody needs
- 25:25Speaker 1: to hear that today. It's a big it's a good word. Um,
- 25:29Speaker 1: you know what this reminds me of also the Kindle situation. Uh,
- 25:33Speaker 1: it's it's kind of a wild But I just I
- 25:35Speaker 1: think she's great, Sydney las Waco. I love her so much.
- 25:40Speaker 1: She's great. Um obviously, see she is uh engaged, And
- 25:44Speaker 1: I saw in her Instagram that her fiance's family had
- 25:47Speaker 1: invited the two of them to Disney, and her fiance
- 25:51Speaker 1: hey getting sick and so he couldn't go, but she
- 25:53Speaker 1: was like, I'm still going, and it's like it just
- 25:55Speaker 1: looked like the best time. And I I just think
- 25:58Speaker 1: that's like a beautiful when those things happen and you
- 26:01Speaker 1: enjoy being around your partners families, um, you enjoy like
- 26:05Speaker 1: having that relationship with them. You can have fun with them.
- 26:08Speaker 1: They accept you, they love you, they see you as
- 26:10Speaker 1: one of theirs. Like, I just think that's cool. I
- 26:13Speaker 1: remember hearing from Kendall and Mitchell on the podcast that
- 26:18Speaker 1: I did at Wango Tango, So you guys, if you've
- 26:21Speaker 1: listened to that, and this will be a repeat story,
- 26:23Speaker 1: but whatever, I don't know if Ben hurd it. So
- 26:26Speaker 1: I said, like, give an example of like your relationship,
- 26:30Speaker 1: and they said, well, we downloaded multiple podcasts and music
- 26:34Speaker 1: for a trip that they took a road trip from
- 26:36Speaker 1: l A to San Francisco and they weren't even able
- 26:40Speaker 1: to finish one podcast because they kept stopping to discuss it.
- 26:44Speaker 1: And I was like, that is the perfect match for Kendall.
- 26:48Speaker 1: That is the perfect match for Kendall. I Yeah, I
- 26:51Speaker 1: just I think it's so awesome. Good for them, we're
- 26:53Speaker 1: celebrating them, We're excited for them. Somebody else we're celebrating.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Here's the headline, Well, Bachelor Nations, Becca Koufern and Thomas
- 27:01Speaker 1: Jacob's wedding beyond TV this according to the online um,
- 27:06Speaker 1: this is a shocking headline to me because that has
- 27:10Speaker 1: been done a long time. I was gonna say, are
- 27:11Speaker 1: we even asking people this question anymore? So we don't
- 27:14Speaker 1: do it anymore. We don't do it, So what do
- 27:17Speaker 1: we know about this? They're not going to get married
- 27:20Speaker 1: on t V one because like ABC won't do it,
- 27:24Speaker 1: but it would be a nice fun thing to start
- 27:26Speaker 1: doing for Hulu. The last marriage that I think we
- 27:30Speaker 1: saw on TV was Carly and never contain carly Nevan
- 27:35Speaker 1: carly Nevan Paradise. Yeah, but the first, like the only
- 27:39Speaker 1: isolated wedding, like a big bang. Yeah, that was so
- 27:45Speaker 1: it's been, oh my goodness eight years in January. The
- 27:50Speaker 1: viewership on that wedding must have not been top notch
- 27:53Speaker 1: because they would have continued to do it if it was. No,
- 27:55Speaker 1: it wasn't that well, it was part of a special US.
- 28:00Speaker 1: It was part of like a Valentine's Day twenty anniversary special.
- 28:04Speaker 1: It's because you were the twentieth bachelor and it was
- 28:06Speaker 1: like part of that twentieth anniversary thing. I can't believe
- 28:10Speaker 1: you're the twentieth bachelors and there where that the twenty
- 28:13Speaker 1: came before your, nineteen eighteen came before you. Eighteen men
- 28:17Speaker 1: came before you in that role. Okay, but whatever. So
- 28:21Speaker 1: that was the last time was very honored to be
- 28:23Speaker 1: remember being like very proud of being the twentieth bachelor.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I remember like impressively it was. Yeah, I think it's
- 28:30Speaker 1: just kind of like random coincidence. But I thought like
- 28:32Speaker 1: at the time, I thought it was like a like
- 28:35Speaker 1: I took a lot of pride in it. No, I
- 28:36Speaker 1: get it, there's like something. It was like very king
- 28:39Speaker 1: like it was because it was like a big celebratory
- 28:41Speaker 1: year and you got to be raining during it. But yeah,
- 28:45Speaker 1: we got to go on the flow of the New
- 28:48Speaker 1: Year's Day. Oh that was cool. My parents and I
- 28:51Speaker 1: helped design that flow. We were That was one of
- 28:54Speaker 1: the coolest memories I've ever had. And it was also
- 28:56Speaker 1: the first time I met Jesse Palmer was in the
- 28:57Speaker 1: elevator UM. During that of that UM, I was in
- 29:03Speaker 1: a hot tub on a float for like two hours,
- 29:05Speaker 1: getting pruny. But I thought it was so cool that
- 29:08Speaker 1: I was on a float with you. I was like,
- 29:09Speaker 1: oh my god, Ben Higgins, Oh my god. He's said
- 29:12Speaker 1: so cool. It's so cool. You're like the president on
- 29:14Speaker 1: the float, just like waving. I set up top like high.
- 29:19Speaker 1: You're like in a beach chair. I was. I was
- 29:22Speaker 1: in a tuxedo and you guys are like in uh
- 29:25Speaker 1: like some suits. Yeah, so silly, but I felt so
- 29:29Speaker 1: cool at that moment, not even because we were in
- 29:32Speaker 1: the New Year's Day float but parade, but because I
- 29:35Speaker 1: was on a float with you, who was like definitely
- 29:39Speaker 1: a celebrity to me. Okay, So yeah, the Jin Tanner
- 29:42Speaker 1: one was the last big wedding, and the reason that
- 29:46Speaker 1: they haven't done it is because like apparently like is
- 29:48Speaker 1: a wash. They make no money from it, but they
- 29:53Speaker 1: make money from it, but just enough that it was
- 29:55Speaker 1: to put on because like Jaden Tanner's wedding was like
- 29:58Speaker 1: a million dollars or something, so then they profited like
- 30:00Speaker 1: a million dollars, and I was just like, Okay, I
- 30:03Speaker 1: was glad to be invited that wedding. It was a
- 30:05Speaker 1: weird wedding because like David Spade was there. It's like
- 30:08Speaker 1: really I think or there's like a bunch of like
- 30:11Speaker 1: random celebrities that were there, like Kevin Maloney or the
- 30:16Speaker 1: Maloney guy, and like those people saw it was Jared.
- 30:21Speaker 1: That's the only person I saw. Were you guys together
- 30:25Speaker 1: at that wedding? No, they tried to make like a
- 30:27Speaker 1: storyline out of it, because I was like, guess what,
- 30:31Speaker 1: Jared and I made out like a couple of weeks ago,
- 30:33Speaker 1: and they were like what, They're like, let's put let's
- 30:36Speaker 1: confront this during Jade and Tanner's wedding. Oh, I could
- 30:40Speaker 1: see Jared loving that. I guess. I was so embarrassed.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Of course, I just told a friend and confidence and
- 30:47Speaker 1: it became a whole thing. Next headline, actually, this is
- 31:01Speaker 1: the headline that has been all over the place. UM
- 31:04Speaker 1: rightfully so UM just a massive, massive I don't know
- 31:09Speaker 1: what you wanna call it air um, a massive mistake.
- 31:13Speaker 1: I don't. I mean, of course it was a mistake,
- 31:18Speaker 1: but was an accident. It was. No, It's just bad.
- 31:24Speaker 1: It's bad at every angle and Bachelor Nations are in
- 31:27Speaker 1: Lauren Lindyke set Balenciaga shoes on fire. We're talking about
- 31:32Speaker 1: the Balenciaga UM conversation. That is one that obviously is
- 31:37Speaker 1: a whole big topic, but obviously a very expensive brand,
- 31:43Speaker 1: and so Ari and Lauren light their shoes on fire. Yeah,
- 31:47Speaker 1: I don't own any Blondciaga is very fancy stuff, but
- 31:53Speaker 1: it's also very disgusting stuff. Now, as this brand has
- 31:58Speaker 1: put out as it was like an ad campaign basically
- 32:04Speaker 1: what would you say, ums like child child It was
- 32:08Speaker 1: like basically like alluding to like child pornography. If you're
- 32:12Speaker 1: not familiar with the controversy right now, Yeah, that's exactly
- 32:17Speaker 1: what I would say. Is this ad was not only
- 32:20Speaker 1: UM highlighting it, but it was associating the brand with
- 32:25Speaker 1: child pornography. They were using children in their ad, uh
- 32:30Speaker 1: in terrible ways, and so the reaction has been warranted. Um,
- 32:35Speaker 1: the reaction has been uh fair like where people are
- 32:40Speaker 1: saying biblenc Yaga is kind of what Laurence says. Um. Yeah,
- 32:46Speaker 1: I don't know. There's so much to this. I want
- 32:48Speaker 1: to discuss. We've been talking about my friend group, like,
- 32:51Speaker 1: how does this oversight happen? What did they think they
- 32:54Speaker 1: were going to give? I don't know what they were like,
- 32:57Speaker 1: what how is it disgusting? It's the weirdest thing. Okay,
- 33:04Speaker 1: you're telling me that there are so many people on
- 33:06Speaker 1: set of this photo shoot, right, the photographer, the set design,
- 33:12Speaker 1: all that they're all okay with this. Nobody stepped in
- 33:17Speaker 1: and said what the Yeah, I don't know, that's what.
- 33:22Speaker 1: There's so much confusion here on how a big brand
- 33:26Speaker 1: like this allows this to happen, how it happens, and
- 33:28Speaker 1: then what they were thinking would come from it. But
- 33:33Speaker 1: then I don't get it also been, so it's been.
- 33:36Speaker 1: There's been stuff in their past too, Like if you
- 33:39Speaker 1: go and look at some of their ad campaigns or
- 33:41Speaker 1: like runway shows, there's like a baby covered in what
- 33:45Speaker 1: looks like a blood like material. So it's kind of
- 33:50Speaker 1: like etched in their history a bit. And I just
- 33:54Speaker 1: don't get the fact that there's just a huge group
- 33:58Speaker 1: of people that obviously have no more those in ethics. Yeah, well,
- 34:02Speaker 1: it's um, good on Arian Lauren for doing that. I
- 34:04Speaker 1: know it's an expensive brand. I know that wasn't just
- 34:06Speaker 1: like you know, lighting my my randoms like my sketcher
- 34:12Speaker 1: is on fire. It's a big deal and um yeah,
- 34:18Speaker 1: So just a conversation to have amongst your friends, probably
- 34:23Speaker 1: outside of this podcast, would be like when the world happened,
- 34:27Speaker 1: how did it make you feel? And then how disgusting
- 34:30Speaker 1: is that? It's just weird. There's like a lot of
- 34:32Speaker 1: stuff that I don't even understand as part of like
- 34:34Speaker 1: because obviously, like I shouldn't even understand, but there's like
- 34:37Speaker 1: even like darker like references. Yeah, and I read that. Yeah,
- 34:42Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know what that's referring to, but um,
- 34:45Speaker 1: I guess that. Yeah, people do pointing it out and
- 34:51Speaker 1: just yeah, I don't know that the parents of the kids,
- 34:56Speaker 1: so many questions understand, Okay, anyway, Yeah we have any
- 35:00Speaker 1: more headlines. Yeah. Bachelor Paradise is Dean Angler and Klin
- 35:06Speaker 1: Miller Keys explaining why they're hot and cold about having kids.
- 35:10Speaker 1: This according to Yahoo, So basically, every time, like Klin
- 35:15Speaker 1: references having kids down the road, Dean will be like,
- 35:19Speaker 1: I'm not sure, and then like if he's then he
- 35:21Speaker 1: like changes his mind and he's on board, and he'll
- 35:23Speaker 1: be like, hey, when we have kids one day, blah
- 35:26Speaker 1: blah blah. She'll be like, I'm not sure. So basically
- 35:31Speaker 1: they're saying kids is a conversation that they'll have in
- 35:34Speaker 1: the future, not any time soon. She is only twenty seven,
- 35:38Speaker 1: he's thirty one. They have plenty time. Uh, so we're
- 35:42Speaker 1: not sure about when that's gonna happen, but we do
- 35:44Speaker 1: know that their wedding. They're trying to plan for next
- 35:47Speaker 1: fall and it's and Klin is in the midst of
- 35:52Speaker 1: wedding planning mode. She says that she feels like she
- 35:55Speaker 1: should have been a wedding planner, so she's having a
- 35:57Speaker 1: lot of passion when it comes to all this. Dean
- 36:00Speaker 1: was also texting Jared and talking on help I set
- 36:03Speaker 1: up dating, about like the costs of weddings and how
- 36:05Speaker 1: outrageous they are and how absolutely mind boggled he is
- 36:10Speaker 1: by finding out some of these numbers. Oh it's wild.
- 36:14Speaker 1: I was the same way. I was always confused. Yeah,
- 36:17Speaker 1: so crazy. And finally, uh, They talked about loving to
- 36:22Speaker 1: go loving visiting Plia Escondido or Bachelor in Paradise is
- 36:27Speaker 1: filmed because it's a place that their love story started,
- 36:30Speaker 1: so they always want to go and visit, and he jokes,
- 36:34Speaker 1: in classic Dean style, if she ever dumps me, you
- 36:38Speaker 1: know that's the first place I'll go, right back to
- 36:41Speaker 1: the beach. Mm hmm. I mean, as much as I'd
- 36:45Speaker 1: love to see Dean back in Paradise, I think this
- 36:49Speaker 1: couple is made for each other. I don't think there's
- 36:52Speaker 1: any dumping going on anytime. So it's so it's so
- 36:55Speaker 1: crazy how far Dean has come. Oh what a man
