- 0:31Speaker 8: Poget, It comes to look is it just.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I'm gonna do it begin, I'm gonna go on the
- 0:40Speaker 2: way you vegan.
- 0:42Speaker 9: Welcome, Welcome, welcome, and you listen to the Sports Shock.
- 0:48Speaker 9: I'm the Sports Shock Winge Candy. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
- 0:54Speaker 9: Hopefully you have saved up your calories and your sports
- 1:01Speaker 9: attention for today. Tremendous lineup of NFL games. No NBA today,
- 1:10Speaker 9: NBA still showing respect to the NFL, and why not.
- 1:16Speaker 9: The NBA players want to watch the games too. We
- 1:20Speaker 9: have a great slate of games on for you today,
- 1:23Speaker 9: starting at twelve thirty. You gotta decide when are you
- 1:27Speaker 9: gonna have your dessert. You might want to save it
- 1:30Speaker 9: to the night game at eight twenty, But at twelve thirty,
- 1:34Speaker 9: the Bears taking on the Lions. A division game, a
- 1:39Speaker 9: game in which the Lions can start shoring up their
- 1:44Speaker 9: home field advantage and their bye week. Just have to
- 1:47Speaker 9: take these games, especially at home, and win them. And
- 1:51Speaker 9: then you roll around to a game that seemed like
- 1:53Speaker 9: it had a lot of promise. Remember games like anything,
- 1:57Speaker 9: change the schedule, try to bring you the best of
- 2:01Speaker 9: the best. They thought they were bringing you a doozy.
- 2:05Speaker 9: The Giants and Dallas are playing at four thirty in
- 2:11Speaker 9: a game where both of these teams to start the
- 2:13Speaker 9: season Dak Prescott, Daniel Jones. Dak is out for the year.
- 2:17Speaker 9: Daniel Jones now is in Minnesota after being released last week.
- 2:23Speaker 9: So this game is more for the enthusiasts. Maybe you
- 2:27Speaker 9: can take you a nap in this window if you're
- 2:30Speaker 9: not a Giants or a Cowboys fan. But you know,
- 2:35Speaker 9: it's Thanksgiving and people get up knowing that they're the
- 2:38Speaker 9: only game, and this is something very few times now
- 2:42Speaker 9: do you have where you're really the only thing on television.
- 2:46Speaker 9: It used to be the national game, high school, college
- 2:50Speaker 9: and pros.
- 2:51Speaker 1: If you could be on, you were on.
- 2:54Speaker 9: It was a recruiting tool for college to be able
- 2:57Speaker 9: to tell, hey, we have three that meant that at
- 3:00Speaker 9: that window, the one or two stations that do show
- 3:03Speaker 9: sports are gonna show this game, so today's football action.
- 3:07Speaker 9: There are no other football games pro wise that you
- 3:11Speaker 9: can tune into. So the Giants and Dallas at four
- 3:14Speaker 9: point thirty and then at eight twenty, the football gud
- 3:18Speaker 9: has decided to punish the Dolphins, which, as far as
- 3:23Speaker 9: I know, dolphins stay down in warm weather. They don't
- 3:27Speaker 9: venture off to Alaska in an article. Maybe there are
- 3:30Speaker 9: some dolphins that can go in those type of temperatures,
- 3:34Speaker 9: but particularly they like cold. They don't like cold weather.
- 3:37Speaker 9: So the Dolphins going to green Bay, green Bay turned down.
- 3:41Speaker 9: The temperature kickoff is supposed to be twenty eight the
- 3:45Speaker 9: gree So we will see how Tyreek hell two a
- 3:49Speaker 9: tag with the OA and the Dolphins who are scratching
- 3:53Speaker 9: and clawing to get their self back into the playoff hunt.
- 3:58Speaker 9: But the Packers the division with the Vikings in the
- 4:01Speaker 9: division with the Lions, some people consider that division being
- 4:06Speaker 9: the best of the year so far, have a lot
- 4:12Speaker 9: of motivation to go out and win this game. And
- 4:15Speaker 9: they will already know whether Chicago and Detroit who won
- 4:20Speaker 9: that game, So the Lions win. Definitely motivation as you
- 4:24Speaker 9: drive to the stadium listening to some of that old
- 4:27Speaker 9: DMX to try to get the temperature going if.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You like high school football.
- 4:35Speaker 9: Tomorrow, third round of the playoffs, Thomas County Central, who
- 4:39Speaker 9: won the twenty twenty three six eight in Georgia championship,
- 4:44Speaker 9: will take on the twenty twenty two champions in Lynxton
- 4:49Speaker 9: Hughes tomorrow at seven point thirty on GPB. To you know,
- 4:54Speaker 9: we're right close here in Georgia to being in the
- 4:58Speaker 9: state finals. Down that the bend looks like maybe next weekend,
- 5:03Speaker 9: next Friday, we will have your man Juju Lewis, who
- 5:07Speaker 9: has decided to go. If they win tomorrow, they still
- 5:10Speaker 9: have to win, but it's lining up to have them
- 5:13Speaker 9: play Buford, which if you don't know about Beuford, then
- 5:17Speaker 9: you probably don't like high school football, because then you
- 5:20Speaker 9: would be kind of a communist in high school to
- 5:23Speaker 9: know Georgia football would know the most dominant they call
- 5:27Speaker 9: it Title Town. That's what has become known as if
- 5:32Speaker 9: they have won about fourteen fifteen of the last twenty
- 5:36Speaker 9: five state championships in different classifications, in all kind of classifications.
- 5:41Speaker 9: They've been to another three or four finals. So it
- 5:46Speaker 9: went from Valdosta, which is far south Georgia to about
- 5:50Speaker 9: as north as you can get in Beauford, Georgia. But
- 5:54Speaker 9: my cast and what does that say. I've got soul
- 5:58Speaker 9: and I'm super bad. Okay, okay, James Brown over here
- 6:04Speaker 9: all the way from Thailand is command Shee Greg. That
- 6:08Speaker 9: is where he's trying to get his citizenship. He's leaving
- 6:11Speaker 9: the country like a lot of Americans have decided to
- 6:13Speaker 9: live abroad the next four years, just having a little cameo.
- 6:18Speaker 9: Came back to get his last of stuff. It's red
- 6:21Speaker 9: dots and that he loves to drive. He came to
- 6:23Speaker 9: get it Big Kenny the funny man himself by way
- 6:26Speaker 9: of Chicago. And now he went from one of the
- 6:30Speaker 9: most dangerous places in America to a place that people
- 6:34Speaker 9: don't know how to pronounce its name.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Is it s Murner from Murner, you know it's safe
- 6:39Speaker 1: up Yeah, it's up there. And then the man from
- 6:43Speaker 1: that's how we pronounce it. Safe in Parts.
- 6:45Speaker 9: Unknown, which used to be a tagline for a lot
- 6:48Speaker 9: of wrestlers parts in the seventies and eighties when they
- 6:52Speaker 9: would introduce him from Parts Unknown, they don't really know
- 6:55Speaker 9: where black.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Jack Mulligan is from.
- 6:57Speaker 10: Oh yeah, that's my guy, you know just from park
- 7:00Speaker 10: Sons come walking up out of the woods.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Now he did that check go somewhere, It goes somewhere.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I know that's a po box under that social Security number.
- 7:09Speaker 1: It's a po box. And then a guy picks it
- 7:11Speaker 1: up and then just drops it at the edge of
- 7:13Speaker 1: the woods tree line and he goes and picks it out.
- 7:16Speaker 9: But from part zone on, the bad producer is in
- 7:20Speaker 9: the building. A quick Thanksgiving note before I bring the
- 7:23Speaker 9: cast on. And this is part of that rapid media
- 7:27Speaker 9: that we seem to as we try to avoid. Here
- 7:30Speaker 9: we say some stories, we're gonna let him breathe, which
- 7:32Speaker 9: means that we're gonna get let a few more details
- 7:35Speaker 9: come out so you can really tell the story. And
- 7:39Speaker 9: down in Huntsville, Alabama, Alabama and M player Medric Burnett
- 7:46Speaker 9: Junior was announced to have died of his injury from
- 7:51Speaker 9: he's been out a couple of weeks from a head
- 7:53Speaker 9: injury he suffered in a game a couple of weeks
- 7:56Speaker 9: ago on October the twenty six as the Alabasama A
- 8:00Speaker 9: and M was playing Alabama State and some kind of
- 8:06Speaker 9: way mannered through the grapevine. And when I say Grapevine
- 8:10Speaker 9: in twenty twenty four, I mean social media. H something
- 8:15Speaker 9: came out that Medric Burnett, junior of Alabama and M
- 8:22Speaker 9: the linebacker. Might be some other Madrics out there, so
- 8:25Speaker 9: maybe every guy got it. I've never met a Madric. Uh,
- 8:28Speaker 9: this is my first metric. Is this your first metric beginning?
- 8:32Speaker 9: You know another metric?
- 8:33Speaker 1: Uh? Some some suspected Madrics, but no, this is my
- 8:37Speaker 1: first confermed command.
- 8:39Speaker 9: You you ever met a Madric? No, I haven't. We
- 8:42Speaker 9: have a first him on now a Madric, A Madric,
- 8:46Speaker 9: but Madric from Alabama, A and M the linebacker. I'm
- 8:50Speaker 9: just making sure I throw enough details.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Unless there's so you make sure you say Madric the
- 8:57Speaker 1: linebacker from Alabama, Alabama, who got hurt October to twenty
- 9:03Speaker 1: six in the Alabama and m Alabama state battle. Yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 1: because the rival, the rival, because it could have been
- 9:11Speaker 1: Madric the.
- 9:11Speaker 9: Magic City Classic. I think it's what they in Birmingham.
- 9:15Speaker 9: Make sure the Masriic that got hurt in that game.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Right, not the Poe by one hundred Madrid, That Madric
- 9:22Speaker 1: right that goes.
- 9:24Speaker 9: To Alabama and him he plays lineback, linebacker. He got
- 9:28Speaker 9: hurt in the Magic City Classic. On October to twenty six,
- 9:32Speaker 9: that that happened against Alabama State.
- 9:35Speaker 1: That happens the Yellow Jackets. That Madric, that matrix is
- 9:40Speaker 1: a lot. Yes he is, Okay, yes he is.
- 9:43Speaker 9: And hey, I'm not saying the other Madric. I'm just
- 9:47Speaker 9: saying that Madrid Alabama State is reporting is still a lie.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Because they're reporting this because why sports jock, Because through
- 9:59Speaker 1: the great what's the great vine a k A social
- 10:03Speaker 1: media ak there me some of that has to go
- 10:06Speaker 1: to break. Give me some of that heard it through
- 10:08Speaker 1: the grape vine. You know, some people don't forgot the class.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Which one though it's a couple now and I think
- 10:12Speaker 1: this was social media from there, a couple of madrics.
- 10:15Speaker 1: But but we specified this Madiri, well, which greape vine
- 10:21Speaker 1: you want to hear? Beginning your music, We're gonna go
- 10:24Speaker 1: with the original, Okay, the original gossip grape vine, your
- 10:29Speaker 1: mom and gay on. The The original is.
- 10:36Speaker 10: Gladys Knight. You got three of them.
- 10:37Speaker 1: You are right. Gladys Knight was the one who made
- 10:39Speaker 1: it first. Then Marvin Gate remade who made it big?
- 10:43Speaker 1: Marvin Marvin Gate will give me the big right.
- 10:46Speaker 9: Just because it's Thanksgiving, we want to make sure media
- 10:49Speaker 9: madrior get it. We don't want the small We will
- 10:54Speaker 9: be like remember that version. You know, if you give
- 10:57Speaker 9: them people don't remember a certain version, you.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Are as time passes, and rightfully so you give things
- 11:03Speaker 1: twenty five thirty years, that's not the version of person
- 11:06Speaker 1: would have been who was born that the day that
- 11:09Speaker 1: that song came out.
- 11:11Speaker 9: They may have never heard that version. Right that last
- 11:15Speaker 9: song with Beyonce a couple of years ago, she made
- 11:20Speaker 9: some people that might have been the first time they
- 11:21Speaker 9: heard that song.
- 11:23Speaker 1: And then we argument with the Auntie. We're gonna give
- 11:26Speaker 1: the midric the plays for Alabama and.

- 11:41Speaker 1: to him. We'll be back with more than sports talk
- 11:42Speaker 1: show right after this, making what some of them you
- 11:56Speaker 1: knew before became the two of us guys. I love it.

- 14:21Speaker 18: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 14:24Speaker 18: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 14:27Speaker 18: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 14:30Speaker 18: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 14:34Speaker 18: a positive. I knew I needed more tools in my
- 14:37Speaker 18: toolbox to take care of these little girls that just
- 14:40Speaker 18: lost their mother. It's time for me to be that

- 17:44Speaker 1: You know what that means. I mean you like you're challenging.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I mean you need this, you need this, and you
- 17:52Speaker 1: know and what was I supposed to read into that?
- 17:55Speaker 1: And you need this?
- 17:58Speaker 9: You could and could?
- 18:00Speaker 1: I'm saying, you sound like you're not good. Kenny.
- 18:02Speaker 10: I almost text him the night before then I thought
- 18:04Speaker 10: about it.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I said what I'm saying.
- 18:05Speaker 9: He didn't hit me like you know he had the
- 18:07Speaker 9: think skipping happy holidays.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Man, what up?
- 18:10Speaker 9: Bro, it's just just a picture of scream shot. Oh yeah,
- 18:15Speaker 9: game and time right, And I didn't know how to
- 18:18Speaker 9: take that. You had to sit down and.

- 18:32Speaker 1: with per diem. Oh foreign language. I see. You know
- 18:38Speaker 1: it's serious. People hit you with a foreign language? Bro,
- 18:41Speaker 1: What what that mean? I mean back in the days
- 18:44Speaker 1: when we would have you know, games, gentlemen, Okay, we
- 18:49Speaker 1: were per diem. Okay. It took me a minute to

- 18:56Speaker 9: And I'm like, batter up. Then you know he let
- 18:59Speaker 9: the real title. Yeah, let that twenty two dollars.
- 19:03Speaker 1: You know. And I was still jealous that basketball teams
- 19:07Speaker 1: get these free trips to Hawaii. Football teams would just
- 19:14Speaker 1: be down at the potato ball.
- 19:17Speaker 9: In the city, dry down the mobile to the but
- 19:20Speaker 9: what right, mobile? I don't even want to go to mobile.
- 19:24Speaker 9: Why would I want to go play a game?
- 19:26Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna be down there for five days, six nights.
- 19:29Speaker 10: Who and they've been over in Hawaii. They've been in
- 19:32Speaker 10: Hawaii for like seven days. They was out on playing
- 19:36Speaker 10: beach football.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Yeah. I was like, well, they have some nerve to
- 19:39Speaker 1: be revenant in the football team.
- 19:41Speaker 9: Face. Look at this trip, y'all paying for it. But
- 19:45Speaker 9: quickly you said you had a high.
- 19:46Speaker 10: School Yeah, you know, with high school season and we're
- 19:50Speaker 10: getting close to the playoffs, like you said here, I
- 19:52Speaker 10: was going to ask you because I know that you
- 19:54Speaker 10: you're pretty well invested, just like I am with high
- 19:56Speaker 10: school sports.
- 19:57Speaker 1: When did they I know they switched.
- 19:59Speaker 10: I might have been sleep in that class, volleyball class,
- 20:02Speaker 10: sleeping a lot of.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Court when hold on, hold on, hold on, high school,
- 20:06Speaker 1: I was sleeping. I mean, I'm just saying command. You see,
- 20:11Speaker 1: I didn't answer that. Yeah, I graduated my school.
- 20:13Speaker 10: But what I'm saying is, can I get to my question?
- 20:16Speaker 10: You graduate high school nineteen eighty seven, But so what
- 20:18Speaker 10: I'm saying is high school? Point of order?
- 20:21Speaker 1: Point of order, sir, point of order. Did you just
- 20:24Speaker 1: point to the man who does broadcast for George Public
- 20:29Speaker 1: Broadcasting and say, yeah, you follow high school sports like
- 20:32Speaker 1: I do?
- 20:34Speaker 20: You know?
- 20:35Speaker 1: You said, yeah, you kind of follow high school sports
- 20:37Speaker 1: like I.
- 20:40Speaker 10: Appreciate three high schools.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Boy, he does he did.
- 20:44Speaker 9: You commercial begging for referee? You know, George, I don't
- 20:49Speaker 9: know about the other states, but they run that commercial.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Because we don't covid is COVID has. It's not even
- 20:55Speaker 1: that polite anymore. The commercials like this, hey man, come on.
- 21:02Speaker 10: But but you know they dropped the classification. It was
- 21:05Speaker 10: seven eight. With the question, okay, what I'm saying it
- 21:08Speaker 10: was seven eight. Now they went back down the highest
- 21:10Speaker 10: classification that's six A and Georgia again, because you made
- 21:13Speaker 10: me that's not a question, you're still well, my question
- 21:16Speaker 10: is when did they change all that again? They changed
- 21:19Speaker 10: it this season. Yeah, they changed it. But why is
- 21:22Speaker 10: what I was wondering. Couldn't understand that?
- 21:24Speaker 1: And they need you the one to do three different sports?
- 21:27Speaker 10: I said, I was when they explained that the well,
- 21:30Speaker 10: my first bought for this year was volleyball, and I
- 21:31Speaker 10: might have missed that. Okay, what about the two? Now
- 21:35Speaker 10: other two? What you said? You referee three sports? But
- 21:38Speaker 10: we just had basketball. I just I just had basketball class.
- 21:41Speaker 10: We ain't talk about it. So you're supposed to have
- 21:43Speaker 10: got it into football or volleyball.
- 21:45Speaker 1: When did they reclassify?
- 21:47Speaker 21: Yeah?
- 21:47Speaker 1: Because I was trying to figure that out because y'all,
- 21:49Speaker 1: you're gonna let me answer the question. You're just gonna
- 21:51Speaker 1: take us to break.
- 21:52Speaker 10: No, I'm gonna go ahead. I got I got another
- 21:55Speaker 10: one on top of it is two part. I was
- 21:56Speaker 10: just trying to get it in. So you said you
- 21:58Speaker 10: had one question, No, I said, I had a question
- 21:59Speaker 10: about high I had.
- 22:03Speaker 1: A question about high school. Questions like did you graduate?
- 22:10Speaker 1: We got? We got questions too, got did you ever go?
- 22:14Speaker 1: We got quest to answer your first question.
- 22:17Speaker 9: This season, they basically crunched, got rid of seven eight.
- 22:24Speaker 9: This was done in an effort that a lot of
- 22:28Speaker 9: the seven eight teams that was deemed in the South
- 22:31Speaker 9: Georgia region, there was not a lot of them, and
- 22:36Speaker 9: that forced a lot of those teams that there was
- 22:39Speaker 9: a handful that were seven eight to have to always take.
- 22:42Speaker 1: These trips nor okay.
- 22:45Speaker 9: So by crunching them, it gave them the ability to
- 22:48Speaker 9: have more competition around them. Second question, real quick, because
- 22:52Speaker 9: we've got to go to break.
- 22:53Speaker 10: Well, basically the final two four sixty eight, the final
- 22:58Speaker 10: ten in coming up games basically is in that sixth
- 23:02Speaker 10: eight is the northern part of the state. And I
- 23:04Speaker 10: was just gonna ask you what you think about the
- 23:06Speaker 10: Collins Hill Grace because I know I hadn't seen them.
- 23:08Speaker 10: I was just wondering what you know we said in
- 23:10Speaker 10: Beuford and Character, But I was just wondering, have you
- 23:14Speaker 10: saw Grayson this year and where they were at and
- 23:16Speaker 10: Collins Hill?
- 23:17Speaker 1: And then we'll be back more to Sports Shot Show
- 23:19Speaker 1: right after this.
- 23:32Speaker 22: Time.
- 23:49Speaker 12: John Boy, Wayne Born of The Sports John Show with
- 23:52Speaker 12: Wayne Gandy is coming up next.
- 23:55Speaker 15: Daisy was abandoned by her family and placed in foster
- 23:59Speaker 15: care at fifty teen years old. Her life was full
- 24:02Speaker 15: of uncertainty. She thought she'd never have a permanent place
- 24:07Speaker 15: to call home.
- 24:09Speaker 23: Before I was adopted, I felt like I wasn't enough.
- 24:12Speaker 23: I had this hole in my heart and I never
- 24:14Speaker 23: knew what I needed to patch that hole. But when
- 24:17Speaker 23: my mom asked to adopt me, that hole was closed.
- 24:20Speaker 23: It feels so normal now to say that I'm a
- 24:23Speaker 23: part of this family. I am surrounded by love, I
- 24:26Speaker 23: feel safe, and that hole inside of me is gone.
- 24:30Speaker 23: I am whole. I'm finally enough, just as I am.
- 24:34Speaker 15: The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is changing the lives
- 24:38Speaker 15: of teenagers at risk of aging out of foster care

- 24:55Speaker 24: I ever tried balancing a dozen eggs in one hand
- 24:57Speaker 24: while hopping on one foot, or maybe juggling ca while
- 25:00Speaker 24: riding the unicycle. Sounds ridiculous, right, but guess what? That's
- 25:05Speaker 24: exactly what texting while driving is like. Your human brain
- 25:08Speaker 24: only has the capacity to focus on one thing at
- 25:10Speaker 24: a time, So when you're behind the wheel, give driving
- 25:13Speaker 24: your undivided attention.
- 25:15Speaker 14: Don't drive distracted.

- 26:25Speaker 13: their ad on the sports jock dot com.
- 26:29Speaker 1: And now back to the sports job Wayne Gandy.
- 26:37Speaker 3: In the red zone.
- 26:52Speaker 6: You do what you want to do, Jay who sacked you? Sure?
- 27:01Speaker 9: Welcome back to the sport shop showing Georgeeshuck wing Candy.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Good morning to you. A lot of NFL games are.
- 27:10Speaker 9: To day twelve thirty, four thirty and eight twenty. Are
- 27:14Speaker 9: those games Bears, Lions, Giants, Cowboys, Dolphins, Packers. Tomorrow a
- 27:23Speaker 9: big slate of college football is on as well, kicking
- 27:28Speaker 9: off at noon with Oklahoma State, Colorado moving to Mississippi State,
- 27:34Speaker 9: Old Miss and Georgia Tech, UGA and South Carolina Clemson.
- 27:40Speaker 9: And that's the thing I was saying on the last show.
- 27:43Speaker 9: With the SEC, We're gonna have to plan a little
- 27:45Speaker 9: better because even when we step out of conference, you
- 27:51Speaker 9: got Georgia playing Uga the last game, you got South
- 27:55Speaker 9: Carolina playing Clemson for the last game. Teams like that
- 28:00Speaker 9: ways and then on Saturday, Texas playing Texas and m
- 28:02Speaker 9: Auburn Alabama. But shout out to Kirby. We tried Kirby,
- 28:07Speaker 9: Kirby Smart of Uga. We were actually high school. We
- 28:12Speaker 9: were supposed to be off tomorrow, but with the weather
- 28:16Speaker 9: throughout the season, the couple of storms, it pushed. But
- 28:21Speaker 9: in the spring, Kirby only moved the Georgia Tech Georgia
- 28:26Speaker 9: game to Friday because he had a bye. He doesn't
- 28:30Speaker 9: like to play on fridays that have high school football.
- 28:35Speaker 9: He likes his coaches to get out and recruit things
- 28:38Speaker 9: like that, so and go watch these games. But they
- 28:41Speaker 9: have to play tomorrow. But not only because the weather,
- 28:45Speaker 9: that storm that came through that pushed it week back.
- 28:48Speaker 9: Some teams didn't get to play, is why. But answer
- 28:51Speaker 9: your question, Collins Hill as Grayson they played each other
- 28:55Speaker 9: to start the season. Collins Hill won that game and
- 29:00Speaker 9: they had one of those kind of no names, just
- 29:01Speaker 9: play as a team. Travis Hunter of Colorado, that's where
- 29:06Speaker 9: he went to high school. I'm quite sure he's sending
- 29:10Speaker 9: a lot of money over there to help the program.
- 29:12Speaker 9: I'm in what was the quarterback day all?
- 29:14Speaker 1: Yeah, So that is the old high school that Travis
- 29:18Speaker 1: Hunter went to is Collins Hill.
- 29:20Speaker 9: They're eleven and one. Grayson's is eleven and one, so
- 29:22Speaker 9: it matches up great like most of these most of
- 29:26Speaker 9: these finals are like eleven and one or twelve and
- 29:28Speaker 9: zero kind of competition. So she'll be a great Friday
- 29:33Speaker 9: of high school football college pro As I said, you're
- 29:37Speaker 9: gonna have enough food today to make it till Monday.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Listen and Monday is it Monday? Don't don't you take
- 29:47Speaker 1: it into Tuesday. Just let it go to Monday and
- 29:49Speaker 1: then let it ride.
- 29:50Speaker 9: Well, I thought, no, not coach Prime out at Colorado,
- 29:55Speaker 9: so he expects his Colorado stars to play in the Bowl.
- 29:58Speaker 9: I think that's just window dressing. Not lose his friend
- 30:00Speaker 9: base when that comes around. Really don't see he should
- 30:04Speaker 9: do her or Travis Hunter playing in an insignificant bowl
- 30:09Speaker 9: game unless it has some kind of marketing, some kind
- 30:13Speaker 9: of contractual through Nike or KFC or whoever that they
- 30:18Speaker 9: have to play in that game to make some kind
- 30:21Speaker 9: of financial quota, but coach Sanders says he expects him
- 30:26Speaker 9: to play.
- 30:26Speaker 1: We will see.
- 30:27Speaker 9: He also says that he doesn't understand why Travis Hunter
- 30:30Speaker 9: is not up for the Jim Thorpe Award that goes
- 30:33Speaker 9: to the best secondary player in the country each and
- 30:40Speaker 9: every year, something that Prime Time won at Florida State
- 30:44Speaker 9: back in eighty eight before he headed off to the
- 30:48Speaker 9: NFL City give his the Travis Hunter since it's just
- 30:52Speaker 9: collecting dust. I think because this is what bad producer
- 30:55Speaker 9: asked me. A lot of people asked me, and I
- 30:57Speaker 9: told him the same thing. What you can only play
- 31:00Speaker 9: who's on your schedule.
- 31:03Speaker 1: And because of that Travis Hunter Colorado and that's why
- 31:08Speaker 1: it took them so long.
- 31:09Speaker 9: To get into even the top twenty five. The competition
- 31:17Speaker 9: is I think the thing that Travis Hunter has not
- 31:21Speaker 9: faced SEC.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Receivers.
- 31:26Speaker 9: He's in a conference where very few of us even
- 31:30Speaker 9: know anyone of reference. The three guys that are up
- 31:35Speaker 9: for the Jim Thorpe Award are all from the SEC.
- 31:41Speaker 9: The young kid from Texas, Malachi Starks at Georgia.
- 31:47Speaker 1: That are two of them.
- 31:48Speaker 9: And then Caleb downerdowns who was at Alabama last year,
- 31:52Speaker 9: and any went to Ohio State, which is the Big Ten,
- 31:55Speaker 9: which is the competition when you look at the top
- 31:57Speaker 9: twelve teams, the SEC pushing each other out. Uh, this
- 32:02Speaker 9: year with Oregon in the Big Ten, right, yep, you
- 32:06Speaker 9: take Oregon, you take Ohio State. They have about three
- 32:09Speaker 9: for you know, slots right now for the Big for
- 32:12Speaker 9: the twelve. So it's just a competition thing. I think
- 32:16Speaker 9: people haven't really seen Travis Hunter play against the competition.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Bappatoots.
- 32:22Speaker 10: To answer your question, Well, when the running backs, they
- 32:27Speaker 10: had that one running back who ran for like for
- 32:30Speaker 10: two thousand yards, he wouldn't run against SEC or any other.
- 32:35Speaker 9: Well, this this is the thing, as I have always
- 32:38Speaker 9: told you on the show that I'm not really good at.
- 32:42Speaker 9: I'm not good at always trying to grab some other
- 32:47Speaker 9: example to justify.
- 32:49Speaker 1: What you need.
- 32:50Speaker 10: Okay, well let me ask this.
- 32:51Speaker 9: So I'm just telling you asked me about Travis Hunter.
- 32:54Speaker 9: I'm not telling you Travis Hunter shouldn't be up for
- 32:56Speaker 9: it or win it. I'm telling you what the people
- 33:00Speaker 9: who were voting probably was looking at.
- 33:02Speaker 10: So you don't think there's no quality receivers in the
- 33:04Speaker 10: Big Twelve that he went against. I mean, that's that's
- 33:07Speaker 10: a powerful conference.
- 33:09Speaker 1: I didn't when the games that I watched Colorado play,
- 33:12Speaker 1: they the commentators never really was mentioning elite receivers. The
- 33:22Speaker 1: biggest knock on any when you're not in a major conference,
- 33:27Speaker 1: people question it's like coming from the IVY League. When
- 33:31Speaker 1: people when a player makes it from the IVY League,
- 33:34Speaker 1: people always are shocked because it's like, oh, I just
- 33:37Speaker 1: thought you was good for Ivy League or HBCU. A
- 33:42Speaker 1: lot of people say this, you know, they think, well,
- 33:44Speaker 1: he from HBC you he might not be up to
- 33:46Speaker 1: the competition, which is a question to answer, but it
- 33:50Speaker 1: always is. That question is is it wasn't just good
- 33:53Speaker 1: there or will it be good when he lines up
- 33:56Speaker 1: against this guy? And that's the question. A lot of
- 34:01Speaker 1: times it pans out that they can play at that level. Yes,
- 34:05Speaker 1: so go ahead.
- 34:06Speaker 10: No, I'm just confused by it because the Big Twelve
- 34:10Speaker 10: is a conference that.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Had produced who's in the Big Twelve.
- 34:17Speaker 10: You got Colorado got you, Cincinnati got Colorado State, you
- 34:21Speaker 10: got Let me think right, let me keep going. If
- 34:26Speaker 10: Texas this left, let me. See at Oklahoma, this left so.
- 34:30Speaker 25: You don't even know what you move on this man here,
- 34:41Speaker 25: Big twelve was good enough.
- 34:44Speaker 10: I'm just saying the Big twelve has always.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Been always that was in the past. Right now people
- 34:50Speaker 1: talk about the Big ten. The a CC this year
- 34:54Speaker 1: used to be a conference that people feared. Now people, Yes, okay,
- 35:03Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 35:06Speaker 9: The AC Clemson not win a bunch of championship, Yeah,
- 35:10Speaker 9: Florida State not win a bunch of champions were strong?
- 35:13Speaker 1: You strong, I'm strong strong, But they then then they
- 35:19Speaker 1: win some championships. They did, Yes, they did. That is
- 35:23Speaker 1: the act having the Canes of Miami won championship since
- 35:27Speaker 1: they've been in the a c C as the.
- 35:28Speaker 12: A c C.
- 35:29Speaker 9: Now, okay, ACC, Now, I thought they were in the
- 35:32Speaker 9: ACC since ninety three.
- 35:35Speaker 1: We check it.
- 35:35Speaker 9: We could check it because my senior year we invited
- 35:39Speaker 9: Florida State in Miami State, both of them.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Well, Miami's been in since like two thousand. They wanted
- 35:48Speaker 1: to have.
- 35:48Speaker 10: Won a championship since they've been in the ACC. Also,
- 35:51Speaker 10: Miami hav' really are you willing to bet your car
- 35:55Speaker 10: on that? No, I'm not willing to bet.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Okay, so stop throwing out facts that you don't actually know.
- 36:00Speaker 10: Just what year did they come in championship? Was Willis
- 36:04Speaker 10: mcge I'm just let me let me take it. But
- 36:07Speaker 10: from two thousand and three, two thousand and two was there.
- 36:10Speaker 10: Miami's last championship run was with McGahee, Clinton, Porters and
- 36:21Speaker 10: those guys. So I'm just I'm like I said, But
- 36:25Speaker 10: my thing of it is is the Big twelve. At
- 36:27Speaker 10: one point in time it seemed as like it was
- 36:30Speaker 10: a CC Big twelve. Sec Uh, the power.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Part of the power five. That's all I'm asking.
- 36:37Speaker 10: And my question is when it's where if this man
- 36:41Speaker 10: is he's up for the Heisman, he's up for all
- 36:43Speaker 10: these other awards, and he's a defensive back.
- 36:48Speaker 9: He's up for the blitt Call. So the viewers and
- 36:51Speaker 9: the people that are voting the Boliticant call forward goes
- 36:54Speaker 9: to the best wide receiver. They feel like that's what
- 36:58Speaker 9: they're gonna put him up for. So that's what they
- 37:00Speaker 9: put him up for. So he's a finalist for the
- 37:02Speaker 9: Bolitna cough. So do you think that which puts him
- 37:06Speaker 9: in the range of being for the Heisman.
- 37:09Speaker 10: So, and with that being said, would you think that
- 37:12Speaker 10: he's gonna be a better wide receiver in the pros
- 37:14Speaker 10: th dB, then.
- 37:17Speaker 9: I think most teams, well, he's not gonna play both
- 37:20Speaker 9: in the in the full time capacity. I'm quite sure
- 37:23Speaker 9: whoever drafts him will put him out there a couple
- 37:26Speaker 9: of times here and there. But you can't you can
- 37:31Speaker 9: do what Travis can doing right now. Sure, but let's
- 37:36Speaker 9: get this straight. As we go to break tons of guys.
- 37:43Speaker 9: We're able to play different positions in high school and college.
- 37:50Speaker 9: Were they allowed all the time?
- 37:51Speaker 4: No?
- 37:52Speaker 1: Could they do it? Yes?
- 37:54Speaker 9: But you go to pro ball, You're gonna tackle Derrick
- 37:58Speaker 9: Henry and then are Jamar Chase? Come on, GM, you
- 38:04Speaker 9: the gim so I'm gonna put you out here. You
- 38:07Speaker 9: on tackle Big Heary, Right, you ain't gonna covering I'm
- 38:14Speaker 9: hoping David here. We ain't getting the cover.
- 38:17Speaker 1: I probably got the had I had been tackling. I
- 38:21Speaker 1: just be covering John Boy, Wayne Board of the.
- 38:40Speaker 12: Sports Josh Hill with Wayne Damtidius coming up next.
- 38:44Speaker 26: The future depends on teachers. Every day. Teachers are shaping
- 38:49Speaker 26: our tomorrows, starting their students on journeys that will change
- 38:53Speaker 26: the course of history. Right now, in a classroom somewhere
- 38:57Speaker 26: in the United States. There's a teacher inspin vring a
- 39:00Speaker 26: future scientist who make preventing pandemics their life's work, sharpening
- 39:05Speaker 26: the mind of an aspiring environmentalist who'll help come back
- 39:08Speaker 26: climate change, and generating possibilities for a student who will
- 39:12Speaker 26: be the first in their family to graduate college. It
- 39:16Speaker 26: all starts with teachers who meet challenges with creativity, who
- 39:20Speaker 26: reinvent education for the future, who work towards a school
- 39:23Speaker 26: system that lives up every child, regardless of race, income,
- 39:27Speaker 26: or zip code, and to enable the full potential of

- 40:14Speaker 16: I'm Ryan Blaney, a third generation race car driver, and
- 40:17Speaker 16: we dedicate a lot of our time to going as
- 40:19Speaker 16: fast as possible. My Grandpa Lou is the reason why
- 40:21Speaker 16: my dad and I started racing, and I'm really proud
- 40:23Speaker 16: to follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa was
- 40:25Speaker 16: diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump in
- 40:28Speaker 16: the road for us. I've learned a lot on this
- 40:30Speaker 16: journey with my Grandpa Lou, and the memories of my
- 40:32Speaker 16: grandpa will always be with me. It's important to notice
- 40:35Speaker 16: if older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems with
- 40:38Speaker 16: their memory.
- 40:39Speaker 14: Or having trouble with routine tasks.
- 40:41Speaker 16: Talking about Alzheimer's can be really tough, but if you
- 40:43Speaker 16: notice something, have a conversation with your level, encourage them
- 40:46Speaker 16: to see a doctor or offer to go with them.
- 40:48Speaker 16: Early detection of Alzheimer's can give your family time to
- 40:51Speaker 16: explore support services, make a plan for the future, and
- 40:53Speaker 16: access available treatments. The Alzheimer's Association provides care support and
- 40:58Speaker 16: research to help you take control of the situation with
- 41:00Speaker 16: your family and manage the disease together. If you or
- 41:03Speaker 16: your family are noticing changes, it could be Alzheimer's talk

- 41:17Speaker 1: And now back to the sports job, Wayne Candy.
- 41:30Speaker 2: It's lock on so you can see a sports jaint.
- 41:45Speaker 2: I'll sing even very Candy, welcome back to this sport
- 41:50Speaker 2: shock show.
- 41:50Speaker 9: I'm the sports shock Wing Candy. It is Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving. Uh,
- 41:55Speaker 9: it is not that cold here today, rainy weather.
- 42:01Speaker 6: But not cold.
- 42:02Speaker 9: I just hope it stays cloudy, but the rain stays away.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Happy Thanksgiving.
- 42:08Speaker 9: Chicago Bears versus Detroit twelve thirty Giants versus Cowboys at
- 42:13Speaker 9: four thirty and Miami headed the Chili Green Bay where
- 42:18Speaker 9: it will kick off, is expected to be around twenty
- 42:20Speaker 9: eight a thirty degrees. Also tonight, Tulane will be hosting Memphis.
- 42:26Speaker 9: On the college side, from what I'm seeing, it's the
- 42:29Speaker 9: only kind of major game. It to be on ESPN Tomorrow.
- 42:33Speaker 9: Oklahoma State, Colorado, Oregon State against Boise State. Boise State
- 42:40Speaker 9: running back what's the young man's name? Ashton Gent Ashton
- 42:44Speaker 9: genty on display trying to stay in the Heisman Hunt,
- 42:47Speaker 9: I think he's done enough to get invited up there.
- 42:51Speaker 9: When you talk about going over two thousand yards on
- 42:55Speaker 9: a season, very few times do you even see that.
- 42:57Speaker 9: Mississippi Mississippi State tomorrow, Georgia versus Georgia tomorrow as well.
- 43:04Speaker 9: Bad producer asking about Travis Hunter. Travis Hunter is up
- 43:08Speaker 9: for the receiver Award, not the cornerback Award. I think
- 43:11Speaker 9: if you watch the games, most of what you've seen
- 43:14Speaker 9: from Travis Hunter this year has been offensive. You just
- 43:18Speaker 9: haven't really put it into pieces. Yes, he's playing both ways.
- 43:21Speaker 9: He's out there all the time, but because of his
- 43:24Speaker 9: talent set and most teams like to run against Colorado
- 43:29Speaker 9: and they don't really throw against him that much. He's
- 43:32Speaker 9: had a lot of inactivity and that hurts you too.
- 43:35Speaker 9: So you don't have the big time first second round
- 43:39Speaker 9: guys you think you're going to go against and don't
- 43:43Speaker 9: fool yourself. Those are the people that coaches like to come.
- 43:47Speaker 9: That's why when you go to the big game. That's
- 43:49Speaker 9: why like somebody like a Kirby didn't want to have
- 43:52Speaker 9: a game tonight. He wants to go somee see some
- 43:54Speaker 9: of these semifinals, these quarterfinals, excuse me, games where it
- 43:59Speaker 9: starts to become better. That's the best. Instead of watching
- 44:03Speaker 9: this best player play against guys that are not going
- 44:06Speaker 9: to go to college, I can go to one of
- 44:08Speaker 9: these games like A Grayson's Colin Hill and see the
- 44:11Speaker 9: white the Florida wide receiver go against the Texas A
- 44:14Speaker 9: and M cornerback. That's what you get when you start
- 44:17Speaker 9: getting to this level. So when you just to put
- 44:20Speaker 9: a nod on it, when you talk about inactivity is
- 44:23Speaker 9: because sometimes you're too good with people don't come. Competition
- 44:27Speaker 9: becomes that you know when you go through your season.
- 44:30Speaker 9: These are the guys. I got a block. I want
- 44:33Speaker 9: to solidify on my first round pick, so I gotta
- 44:36Speaker 9: go out and I got to block Henry Ford of Arkansas.
- 44:39Speaker 9: I got a block, John Copeland of Alabama. I got
- 44:43Speaker 9: a block, Eddie Curry. I got a block Kevin Carter.
- 44:49Speaker 9: They don't want to see me block Medrick Best Medric.
- 44:55Speaker 9: I mean, excuse.
- 44:55Speaker 10: Me, he's still here.
- 44:58Speaker 9: And you know that when you take the field, because
- 45:01Speaker 9: now they're getting a look at what they see the future.
- 45:04Speaker 1: To be right, I want to see you.
- 45:06Speaker 9: Block against a guy that the next ten, twelve, fifteen years.
- 45:09Speaker 1: This is who you're gonna play against, yeah, level and
- 45:12Speaker 1: how you.
- 45:12Speaker 9: Handle yourself then, so a lot of what Travis Hunter,
- 45:15Speaker 9: you don't people don't see your conference, and that don't
- 45:17Speaker 9: mean you won't be there next year, but you won't
- 45:20Speaker 9: be there next year.
- 45:22Speaker 1: You know.
- 45:22Speaker 9: It's just like Travis and your Douer coming over. This
- 45:26Speaker 9: helped them leaving Jackson State going to Kansas, I mean
- 45:29Speaker 9: going to Colorado because at that moment it was like, oh, yeah,
- 45:33Speaker 9: you're doing that at Jackson State. Yeah, they but now
- 45:36Speaker 9: you move them up and it's like okay, okay.
- 45:39Speaker 1: You can get past Midrick supports y'all. Could I read
- 45:44Speaker 1: some of the online comments from our online listeners. First
- 45:47Speaker 1: of all, Happy Thanksgiving. Thank y'all for joining us on
- 45:50Speaker 1: Thanksgiving Day. A loyal listener, Jed Lloyd says, Wow, didn't
- 45:53Speaker 1: think you'd be on today. Happy Thanksgiving Fellows, which sort
- 45:57Speaker 1: of solves that question about how many Thanksgivings shows have
- 46:02Speaker 1: we done? He didn't expect us to be on. We
- 46:04Speaker 1: uh we have. Elder Casey Lamar Hughey Senior says peace
- 46:11Speaker 1: and blessings. Romalis says Happy Thanksgiving guys and then says
- 46:15Speaker 1: bad producer with just all exclamations, and I'm sorry. He
- 46:22Speaker 1: says the bad producer, not the the bad producers with
- 46:28Speaker 1: five exclamation points. And I replied to him, you see
- 46:32Speaker 1: it like and uh so you say you say the hood?
- 46:38Speaker 1: Can you tell people I'm going to the hood? No,
- 46:42Speaker 1: said no, I'm what do you say? I mean, I'm
- 46:47Speaker 1: sort of what's the question? Am I going to the hood?
- 46:49Speaker 9: Or you say you're telling people? Do you say the hood?
- 46:54Speaker 9: Are you going to the hood?
- 46:56Speaker 10: I'm gonna run through the hood? Well, you just told
- 46:59Speaker 10: him the but that's what he wrote on them things.
- 47:02Speaker 10: He said.
- 47:03Speaker 1: It wasn't capitalized the It's just said the bad producer. No,
- 47:08Speaker 1: I'm just saying you'd like to say that, and then
- 47:10Speaker 1: you will sit there and say the the right. You're
- 47:12Speaker 1: telling the d right, which lends itself to a comment
- 47:17Speaker 1: that someone said he's derailed the show enough with his
- 47:20Speaker 1: pointless questions. Jared Lloyd said that, and I guess what
- 47:25Speaker 1: I said that. Jared did your cross talker and finished
- 47:28Speaker 1: the Cummings. Please, sir, Uncle Charlie said, Uh, my ninety
- 47:32Speaker 1: two year old brother talking about my uncle Leon thinks
- 47:35Speaker 1: that I sound exactly like the BG's. He's watching it
- 47:38Speaker 1: and I'm mouthing the words to the music and he
- 47:41Speaker 1: thinks that it's me, And I told him, let him
- 47:46Speaker 1: ride with it. You know what I'm saying. At ninety two,
- 47:48Speaker 1: he's still looking good, still moving around on his own.
- 47:50Speaker 1: Let him go with let him sound yeah, let him dispel,
- 47:54Speaker 1: let him think, Kenny sound just like the BG's. And
- 47:56Speaker 1: then uh, they were saying, wait, that was your comment.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Uncle Charlie said, come on, bad producer. All you have
- 48:07Speaker 1: to say is they said, you know, they say it right.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Nobody gets what you be saying. Bro, I just wanted people.
- 48:17Speaker 1: And then what I say to Jared North Carolina.
- 48:19Speaker 9: North Carolina fires Mac Brown, who they just got back
- 48:24Speaker 9: about five years ago. Mac Brown plans on coaching the
- 48:28Speaker 9: game this weekend, so he's going to finish the season
- 48:31Speaker 9: as North Carolina takes on North Carolina State, but they
- 48:34Speaker 9: are parting ways after this season. We'll be back more

- 51:40Speaker 1: Court on sports news gossip, blah blah blah.
- 51:46Speaker 6: Blah, what makes you this one?
- 52:04Speaker 9: Shock selling the swat, shock Wing Gandee. A gruesome killing
- 52:09Speaker 9: down on a Florida golf course over the last couple
- 52:14Speaker 9: of days. Thirty six year old Junior Boucher has been
- 52:19Speaker 9: charged with first degree murder after he allegedly kills sixty
- 52:23Speaker 9: five year old Brian He'll Telt Hilt Baytail on the
- 52:31Speaker 9: first hole of the sand Hill Crane Golf Club in
- 52:34Speaker 9: Palm Beach Gardens on Monday. Boucher is accused of viciously
- 52:41Speaker 9: attacking the sixty five year old at a golf club
- 52:46Speaker 9: and then drowning him in a pund. This was all
- 52:50Speaker 9: on the first hole. You you imagine if these people
- 52:57Speaker 9: were friends. Whatever Junior Boucher was feeling, he brought onto
- 53:03Speaker 9: the course because and I'm saying that from the sense,
- 53:07Speaker 9: if it's happening on the first hole, as we know,
- 53:12Speaker 9: we talked trash and different things. Seems like if it's
- 53:16Speaker 9: on the first hole, the build up was already there.
- 53:19Speaker 1: Either you went there to do it, yes, or.
- 53:22Speaker 9: It was already on you from the last game or
- 53:25Speaker 9: during the week. But if it happened on the whole fourteen,
- 53:30Speaker 9: then I could think maybe you were egging him.
- 53:32Speaker 1: On something like that on the you know, the trip,
- 53:36Speaker 1: but you came, you came out the clubhouse. Yeah, they
- 53:40Speaker 1: said this was a random act. I don't think these
- 53:42Speaker 1: gentlemen knew one or nothing. Were they golfing against each other,
- 53:45Speaker 1: they said, I don't know. They said it was a
- 53:47Speaker 1: random act. Like the guy who assaulted and murdered the golfer,
- 53:53Speaker 1: the guy he showed around to golf this other guy.
- 53:59Speaker 1: They don't know what he was there for, but that's.
- 54:01Speaker 10: What he Well, that's the situation that happened in kennisall
- 54:04Speaker 10: sort of like the golfer over there. He went just
- 54:07Speaker 10: to go investigate because the members called and said, hey,
- 54:09Speaker 10: there's a truck on the green. We think they just
- 54:12Speaker 10: drove off the road. And when he went over there,
- 54:14Speaker 10: it turned in this homicide for him. And so this situation, well.
- 54:18Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but in that situation, when he
- 54:21Speaker 1: went to investigate the truck that was on the green,
- 54:23Speaker 1: that truck already had two bodies two bodies.
- 54:26Speaker 10: That's what I'm saying.
- 54:26Speaker 1: That the guy was trying to do so they didn't
- 54:28Speaker 1: know any so that Golfer happened to come up on
- 54:31Speaker 1: a crime and to prevent him from being a witness,
- 54:35Speaker 1: he was killed. They're saying this crime had nothing to
- 54:39Speaker 1: do with anything. This man standing there, all of a sudden,
- 54:43Speaker 1: this alterification starts and one person dies. They still don't
- 54:47Speaker 1: know what the motive is for.
- 54:49Speaker 9: This, and that's the part that stands out. Yes, Robert Krafft,
- 54:53Speaker 9: the owner of the Patriots and the dynasty that they
- 54:57Speaker 9: have put out there, has been denied Hall of Fame
- 55:01Speaker 9: induction as a contributor. Once again, We've talked about this
- 55:06Speaker 9: a couple of times with Robert Kraft.
- 55:10Speaker 1: I don't see what he's missing on the resume tenure.
- 55:17Speaker 9: This is not like he bought the team and he's
- 55:19Speaker 9: only owned it for five years. We're talking about what
- 55:22Speaker 9: twenty five years minimum here now at least that he's
- 55:26Speaker 9: on this team. And the success of whatever you're giving
- 55:29Speaker 9: Bill Belichick or Tom Brady and any of the other players,
- 55:33Speaker 9: Richard Seymore will end up in.
- 55:36Speaker 1: The Hall of Fame. Any of those guys, one of
- 55:38Speaker 1: those offensive Linemen. I'm quite sure he had a stellar
- 55:41Speaker 1: offensive line. Whatever they're gonna get when you think something
- 55:45Speaker 1: of that has to go to Robert Kraft. And this
- 55:49Speaker 1: is primarily always been my reluctance to endorse this Hall
- 55:57Speaker 1: of Fame voting committee thing, like by your own metric,
- 56:02Speaker 1: like you're putting the greatest to do it in that
- 56:06Speaker 1: capacity into the Hall of Fame. Why is Robert Kraft
- 56:10Speaker 1: not there already? First of all? And what what prevents
- 56:14Speaker 1: you from putting him in? Going forward?
- 56:17Speaker 9: As an owners and coaches have to put in a minimum.
- 56:21Speaker 9: I think of twenty five years, he's done that. I'm
- 56:24Speaker 9: just sharing, so I don't know. I'm saying it's different
- 56:28Speaker 9: like a player retires right and then five years later
- 56:32Speaker 9: he can get right, he can be inducted.
- 56:35Speaker 1: I'm saying, with that reality, with that established reality that
- 56:38Speaker 1: takes twenty five years and all of the other criteria
- 56:41Speaker 1: that he's reached and he qualifies in that category, why
- 56:47Speaker 1: wouldn't you put him in? And that's the big question.
- 56:49Speaker 30: Go ahead, come in, But I was wondering, is it
- 56:53Speaker 30: a timing thing where I think Tom Brady will be
- 56:57Speaker 30: eligible next year? But to have him and Craft and
- 57:04Speaker 30: Belichick all go in at the same time. I don't
- 57:07Speaker 30: know if that's part, if it's something like that.
- 57:11Speaker 1: I don't know what the prize for NFL fan. I
- 57:14Speaker 1: think Tom Brady has two more years, but then Craft
- 57:17Speaker 1: would have to wait too. Why why and Belichick Belichick? Well,
- 57:25Speaker 1: Belichick has been coaching long enough to be inducted. He
- 57:29Speaker 1: has been Still do you have to does the coach
- 57:31Speaker 1: have to retire?
- 57:33Speaker 9: That's what I'm saying. I think the coaches without retiring.
- 57:36Speaker 9: The coach has to do like twenty five years and
- 57:40Speaker 9: then they can be inducted. He yeah, he's done that.
- 57:44Speaker 9: I mean if he had when he was the Browns coach. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 57:47Speaker 9: up all the years, I mean, all the way back
- 57:49Speaker 9: to I don't know if he has to be head coach. Well,
- 57:51Speaker 9: that's one coaching for forty five years, minimal, all the
- 57:55Speaker 9: way back to LT and the Giants. So I'm not
- 57:58Speaker 9: sure what it is about Robert Craft. And that's the
- 58:01Speaker 9: thing We've seen a lot of times. You're supposed to
- 58:03Speaker 9: scrapulate the outside things and you're supposed to focus on
- 58:10Speaker 9: the Hall of Fame and what it does for the game. Sometimes,
- 58:14Speaker 9: like we saw with Terrell Owens, the media, the people
- 58:18Speaker 9: that get to vote add in things that have nothing
- 58:22Speaker 9: to do. Sure you can hold too doing sit ups
- 58:26Speaker 9: in his driveway against it, but I'm telling you as
- 58:29Speaker 9: a man that was on the field and in the
- 58:31Speaker 9: locker room and in the meetings. When they get up
- 58:36Speaker 9: there in the morning and they circle him right, we
- 58:40Speaker 9: gotta stop this dude here, We gotta stop this guy
- 58:43Speaker 9: right here.
- 58:43Speaker 10: What's his number?
- 58:46Speaker 1: Stop? And everybody on some the crme dude crying, Yeah,
- 58:49Speaker 1: we stop him now. They don't even say his name,
- 58:51Speaker 1: just the number. We're gonna stop him. Or they show
- 58:55Speaker 1: this dude up here, number ninety two for green Baby. Somebody,
- 58:57Speaker 1: we gonna chip him. Somebody gonna come over here and help.
- 59:00Speaker 9: When you start getting that it's Hall of fame, there's
- 59:02Speaker 9: there's a lot of guys that, you know, players feel
- 59:05Speaker 9: like she'ld be in the Hall of Fame that the
- 59:06Speaker 9: media sit around and play with. And you know, t
- 59:10Speaker 9: O was the first ballot, but the media held that
- 59:13Speaker 9: other stuff against it, you know, telling him his name
- 59:16Speaker 9: is not Tero is le. I guess they didn't like that.
- 59:20Speaker 9: We'll be back more to Sports Junk Show right after this.
- 59:24Speaker 25: A most confessed girl, you sent youse up.
- 59:43Speaker 12: Girl, John Boy, Wayne Born of the sports John Hill

- 1:00:54Speaker 13: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:00:57Speaker 13: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents it's a critical
- 1:01:00Speaker 13: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:01:04Speaker 13: have life insurance.
- 1:01:05Speaker 32: When I was twenty five, Me and my wife were
- 1:01:07Speaker 32: just getting started with our family and thought, we live
- 1:01:09Speaker 32: forever life insurance.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: What's the last thing on my mind? What about you?
- 1:01:12Speaker 14: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:01:15Speaker 32: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:01:17Speaker 32: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:01:19Speaker 32: survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:01:21Speaker 32: the insurance informant.
- 1:01:22Speaker 13: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:01:25Speaker 13: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:01:27Speaker 32: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:01:30Speaker 32: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:01:32Speaker 13: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:01:34Speaker 13: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:01:36Speaker 13: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:01:39Speaker 13: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:01:42Speaker 13: two options, benefits or bills? Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:01:47Speaker 13: Log on today benefits or bills? Dot com? That's benefits
- 1:01:51Speaker 13: or bills dot com?
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: No excusing not.
- 1:02:00Speaker 12: Share your sucker and we hold the world rightsom for.
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: Excuse me.
- 1:02:06Speaker 30: While I whipped this.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Out shoot broadcasting live and it led a Georgia to
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: this This is the sports Shock Ship with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: You Bill began, you mean up?
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: Can you bling me down again?
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: You flank me down?
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: That consola comes to contact get it comes to Mark?
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: Is it just to.
- 1:02:32Speaker 14: I'm gonna do it begin, I'm gonna go on the
- 1:02:34Speaker 14: way you.
- 1:02:35Speaker 9: Till Vegan, Welcome back to the spoy Shock Show. I'm
- 1:02:38Speaker 9: the swing Shock Wing Gandega. Morning till you.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: We are are live here Thanksgiving morning.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:02:46Speaker 9: We are getting close to our first NFL game at
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: twelve thirty Chicago Detroit. Remember Detroit Dallas. They host games
- 1:02:56Speaker 9: because they were the first two teams that they basically
- 1:03:00Speaker 9: raised their hands that they would play on Thanksgiving a long, long,
- 1:03:05Speaker 9: long time ago. So they I think that first game
- 1:03:08Speaker 9: they played each other, and then as the money powers
- 1:03:12Speaker 9: always get together, decided to give each one of them
- 1:03:15Speaker 9: a home game. So if you're wondering why the two
- 1:03:18Speaker 9: of those teams always have a Thanksgiving gay game and
- 1:03:22Speaker 9: it's always home remember the last game of the night.
- 1:03:25Speaker 9: It's just been added on. In recent years, there were
- 1:03:29Speaker 9: no night games, there were day games. The first game
- 1:03:33Speaker 9: is in Detroit, the second when it's Dallas hosting the Giants,
- 1:03:37Speaker 9: and the light cap as we talked about thirty degrees
- 1:03:40Speaker 9: for the Dolphins, and I think the Dolphins have lost
- 1:03:42Speaker 9: eleven or twelve games in a row when the temperature
- 1:03:46Speaker 9: has been.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Thirty or less or thirty five or less or I.
- 1:03:52Speaker 10: Think it's forty below. They haven't won eleven games since.
- 1:03:56Speaker 9: Okay, so that said eight to twenty Chile and the
- 1:04:00Speaker 9: NFL intentionally did that. There's no think about it because
- 1:04:05Speaker 9: they do get to select these teams completely for Thanksgiving.
- 1:04:11Speaker 9: There is no kind of pattern. There's Detroit and there's Dallas,
- 1:04:15Speaker 9: and they find them opponents. Typically it has been a
- 1:04:18Speaker 9: divisional opponent. They just rotate the division, you know, next
- 1:04:24Speaker 9: year to be the Vikings or who else is in there,
- 1:04:30Speaker 9: Green Green.
- 1:04:31Speaker 10: Bank, Chicago.
- 1:04:33Speaker 9: Yeah, it'd be something like that. It'd be Dallas and
- 1:04:36Speaker 9: the Commanders or Dallas and the Eagles, something like that
- 1:04:40Speaker 9: next year. But they sent Miami, I say, lawsuit, Well,
- 1:04:46Speaker 9: you know what you do well, but you sent me
- 1:04:50Speaker 9: up there at eight thirty at nightcounter though it may
- 1:04:54Speaker 9: bring the best out of some of them, I doubt.
- 1:04:56Speaker 21: It, but.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: So we will see how they go along with that.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: But that is NFL.
- 1:05:06Speaker 9: And remember there is one college game seven thirty Memphis
- 1:05:09Speaker 9: taken on two lane rivalry week from most colleges. With
- 1:05:15Speaker 9: all the schedule changes, some teams don't have that rival game,
- 1:05:19Speaker 9: that signature that.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: They always played.
- 1:05:21Speaker 9: As we talked about, Oklahoma State used to play Oklahoma
- 1:05:26Speaker 9: this weekend. Now they're playing Colorado. So there have been
- 1:05:31Speaker 9: some tweaks with the whole moving around, and some traditions
- 1:05:36Speaker 9: have been stalled out with some of this. But the
- 1:05:38Speaker 9: Iron Bowl, which you know, as I said, is no
- 1:05:41Speaker 9: longer really the Iron Bowl, but we'll leave it. It
- 1:05:45Speaker 9: stayed long enough as the Iron Bowl to be always
- 1:05:49Speaker 9: remembered that. So we will see how that works around
- 1:05:53Speaker 9: the college landscape. Playoffs in high schools, no matter what
- 1:05:57Speaker 9: state you're in, you're probably in the playoffs here, getting
- 1:05:59Speaker 9: close to the state finals as well. Elak neighbors of
- 1:06:04Speaker 9: the Giants, Anthony Upwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: We even have to John T.
- 1:06:09Speaker 9: Murray of the Pelicans saying they're lost last night to
- 1:06:14Speaker 9: Toronto is embarrassing. I'm elite Neighbors called the Giants effort.
- 1:06:20Speaker 9: Last Sunday soft Anthony Edwards had some choice words about
- 1:06:25Speaker 9: his Minnesota team as well and how they're.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Playing what what word did ant Man use on them
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: big Kenny uh. He said that they were playing like
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: front runners and everybody had their own agendas front runners okay, okay,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: okay okay.
- 1:06:41Speaker 9: And and then if I was voting at man can speak?
- 1:06:47Speaker 9: Did John take and speak? My elak neighbors has to
- 1:06:52Speaker 9: be quiet, be called he's a rookiet. Okay, just just
- 1:06:58Speaker 9: just play. You don't know anything about this, right, you
- 1:07:02Speaker 9: come here from l s U and thinking you you
- 1:07:04Speaker 9: know something about winning. You don't know anything about the
- 1:07:06Speaker 9: struggles of of Just sit down, be quiet, right. I
- 1:07:11Speaker 9: hope you hear next year. Who is on the team
- 1:07:14Speaker 9: to like? Does not say that to him? Doesn't who?
- 1:07:17Speaker 20: Who?
- 1:07:18Speaker 21: That?
- 1:07:18Speaker 30: Wouldn't someone like a veteran on the team need to
- 1:07:21Speaker 30: say hey, just you know yeah on that from Oregon?
- 1:07:30Speaker 30: What's his name? Been there about three?
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: Tip? Go there and slapping? Who practice start? Just go slapping?
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: Well someone, if you slap in the locker rooms.
- 1:07:42Speaker 9: It's a crime. You slap them on the field, it's
- 1:07:44Speaker 9: just a play. Why not locker room, it's a crime.
- 1:07:51Speaker 9: On the field, it's a play.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: What you're talking about? What you know about?
- 1:07:55Speaker 9: So first of all, you're a receiver, so why are
- 1:07:57Speaker 9: you even tempered gauging of temperature. You don't play a
- 1:08:02Speaker 9: what rugged position?
- 1:08:03Speaker 21: You do?
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: You more for ness than anything?
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: No, you don't.
- 1:08:07Speaker 9: We don't get We don't get conversations about the temperature
- 1:08:10Speaker 9: of the team from the cornerback. You can say we
- 1:08:13Speaker 9: need to play better, you can say things like that,
- 1:08:15Speaker 9: But to be able to make a statement of being soft,
- 1:08:18Speaker 9: how would you know what soft is?
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: You've got kind of a non contact position. Amen. Well,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I'm saying they hit you when you get the ball.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: Can they do that? I thought they got through out?
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Or fine? No, I'm saying you supposed exactly. Oh, after
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: you catch the ball. Yeah, after they catch the ball.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: He's but outside of that, you don't really.
- 1:08:41Speaker 30: Hitching your head and I can't hit you your legs
- 1:08:43Speaker 30: so I can't grab your jersey, and I can't can't.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Pull you down, and I can't jump on your legs
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: or none of that. Okay, I can do this, and
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: then you can you just get here, but I'm playing. Okay,
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: I've been here. I've been here this season. Okay, And
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: that's I would imagine that's true at any job. The
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: guy that just walked in, how much voice does he have?
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Not much not much. And most people and most people
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: see the man that walks in the mailroom, how much
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: voice does he have if he's just now getting to
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: the mail room. Now he's just correct. I remember when
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: this was stamps and you had the eyeball the package.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: You just look at it and you had to be
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: able to tell if that was a three a zero.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: But now you got all these digital scanners. Boy, you
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: don't know nothing about the package business.
- 1:09:34Speaker 9: I'm just saying that was bad. You just to go
- 1:09:36Speaker 9: quiet because I imagine Molik Neighbors is somebody he likes.
- 1:09:38Speaker 9: So you know, No, I'm just quiet always come, I'm
- 1:09:42Speaker 9: just listening.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: I want to ask. I'm playing the game with you.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: I know I'm a rookie. I know I'm a rookie.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: But true for the matter is, you know, maybe my
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: gauge of what tough is was the dudes I used
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: to play with. It didn't look like that.
- 1:10:00Speaker 9: But the truth of the matter is that day, that
- 1:10:04Speaker 9: month that your hands got slippery and you wanted us
- 1:10:10Speaker 9: to support and ride with you, okay, and not throw
- 1:10:14Speaker 9: you under the bus. Right, remember that day because it's coming. See,
- 1:10:20Speaker 9: that's the thing that people sometimes forget about sports. You're
- 1:10:24Speaker 9: not always great. You do have windows where you fall off.
- 1:10:31Speaker 9: That's why you never see a lot of That's why
- 1:10:34Speaker 9: it was so uncharacteristic of Debo to go after the kicker.
- 1:10:39Speaker 9: You ever notice, even when the kicker misses a field goal,
- 1:10:42Speaker 9: the lineman and his board that held the ball get
- 1:10:44Speaker 9: up and they high fiving and tap him on the
- 1:10:47Speaker 9: helmet because bruh, gonna be one.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: She's game. Now we're gonna need you to go down
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: here when you weren't supposed to kick this fifty two
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: yard and its snowing is raining right and we're gonna
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: need you to kick. And if I get on you.
- 1:11:01Speaker 9: Today as though I didn't make a bad play or
- 1:11:04Speaker 9: I ain't been through that well, I had to go
- 1:11:07Speaker 9: to tell the coach, Hey, man, ain't I promise you
- 1:11:11Speaker 9: it'll never be like that again because we all have
- 1:11:14Speaker 9: that day. I don't care how big of a superhero
- 1:11:18Speaker 9: they make you out to be, there are losses in it.
- 1:11:23Speaker 9: And that's what I say, is a rookie, you're going
- 1:11:26Speaker 9: hot right now, right right right right? You you know
- 1:11:30Speaker 9: what's the kid CJ.
- 1:11:31Speaker 10: Stroud right right?
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: You couldn't, I mean, he was on fire, but this year.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: He't kind of cooled off.
- 1:11:38Speaker 33: He was.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: He was if I want to just throw him under there,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: he was in fuego.
- 1:11:43Speaker 34: He was.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: And that's the part where I would be sitting there
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: with malice.
- 1:11:46Speaker 9: I wouldn't yell that neighbor, right, I wouldn't yell at him,
- 1:11:49Speaker 9: but I would talk to him and get him to
- 1:11:51Speaker 9: Hey man, this just year.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: This just game eleven for you, right right. You ain't
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: even got the game seventy seven. You ain't playing the
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: full season in this league yet.
- 1:12:01Speaker 9: When when the girl accusing you of sexual assault and
- 1:12:06Speaker 9: your wife on left you and we've all been through that.
- 1:12:09Speaker 9: My mom's sick and we didn't all been through that.
- 1:12:12Speaker 9: All that going on time right now? You need your boys.
- 1:12:17Speaker 9: But I thought we were soft though.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: But I'm saying, you know, you know that girl wasn't
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: supposed to say that. And that's the thing you don't get.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: The people outside get the point fit. I'm sorry. I
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: wish I could go out and hey man, you dropped
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: the ball, Yeah you did, But you imagine I didn't
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: ever miss a block. Now I've missed blocks when my
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: block went have scored the touchdown, I've had to sit
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: there like lord, have mercy. I'm glad it was first down,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: so now we can get the second and I can
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: make up for it. That's the really how it goes. Now,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: Malik neighbors saying that to the media is one thing,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: but him coming to you personally and saying, hey, man,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: that looked a little soft to me. Would that be
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: more better received? Correct? Okay, okay, you don't take this
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: out of the house. Okay, Now him wanting to stand
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: up in the team meeting, Yeah, we're not gonna throw
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: the coffee cups at him. But you taking this to
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: the media, you pillow talking this to your wife at night.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: Now it's around. It's some kind of buzz, right because
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: she going to tm Z. She's going straight TMS, Malik said,

- 1:17:29Speaker 10: about well y'all wo he he talks to day Wall Labor,
- 1:17:35Speaker 10: y'all wild made me think.
- 1:17:37Speaker 9: That very Gordy Junior ninety five, John Stewart, the night
- 1:17:41Speaker 9: show host sixty two.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Jarvis Landry? What happened to Jarvis Landry? Thet l s
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: U went to Cleveland. He's still in the NFL. He's
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: only thirty. I don't think he's Odell Beckham. He might
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: need to be.
- 1:17:55Speaker 9: They was running consulting Malik. Yeah, still stay in Okay,
- 1:17:59Speaker 9: thirty years now he's a free agent, and I'm saying
- 1:18:05Speaker 9: I don't know why he's not in the league. But
- 1:18:07Speaker 9: these are the cautionary stories I'm trying to tell you,
- 1:18:09Speaker 9: Malik Neighbors. You start off like that, and it seems
- 1:18:13Speaker 9: like because Jarvis Landry was a top twenty pick.
- 1:18:16Speaker 10: That was his born. That's LSU from Elis, but no
- 1:18:19Speaker 10: primetime receivers. You talking about from the sec.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: You go to acting all like you can't be replaced.
- 1:18:24Speaker 10: Now you can?
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: You can, Yes, you can. You can be home too.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: Saint Steele is fifty two years old.
- 1:18:32Speaker 9: Russell Wilson bringing in the Holidays thirty six, Howie man
- 1:18:36Speaker 9: Dale sixty nine.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: The game is forty five.
- 1:18:40Speaker 9: Stephan Diggs, who's out for the Texans for the season,
- 1:18:44Speaker 9: is thirty one. Great actor Don Cheato is the Big
- 1:18:48Speaker 9: six zero and the fairest. The comedian sitcom star is
- 1:18:54Speaker 9: forty eight. Julius Randall, who just always had that old
- 1:18:59Speaker 9: man spirit about it. I'm saying that, cousin, I'm sitting
- 1:19:03Speaker 9: here if Julie his game always been Pops kind of
- 1:19:08Speaker 9: Pops game, that old Anthony what was Anthony name for
- 1:19:13Speaker 9: the Knicks?
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: Mason masony Mason, you know, just an old Pops game.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: I can't believe Pops one gave me thirty four tonight
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: like this and talking tray but from a different era.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Lookout give Turkey only thirty years old.
- 1:19:29Speaker 9: Is Julius Wren thirty years old, Jamal Mashburn fifty two,
- 1:19:34Speaker 9: Marianna Rivera, the Great Closer fifty five, Ben Stiller, Command you,
- 1:19:40Speaker 9: Greg wants you to know that he has a new
- 1:19:42Speaker 9: movie coming out called Ding, which he is adding pickleball.
- 1:19:48Speaker 10: It's the Dink, the Dink the Ding. Okay, not Dan
- 1:19:52Speaker 10: Dink the dink. That's a shot in pickleball.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: I guess.
- 1:19:56Speaker 10: I mean, I mean to look at it. I'm wondering
- 1:19:59Speaker 10: the events, the type of name of a shot.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: No, but that's super clever that he would make a
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: movie about a sport as obscure as pickleball because nobody's well,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: we're talking about it.
- 1:20:12Speaker 9: Dodgeball, because when he made the Dodgeball movie, dodgeball had
- 1:20:16Speaker 9: made a comeback to a degree, it.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Becomes a social win.
- 1:20:20Speaker 10: I get hit in the face with the ball.
- 1:20:23Speaker 9: Quit because that was Dodgeball was something that a lot
- 1:20:26Speaker 9: of us grew up playing in elementary in junior high.
- 1:20:31Speaker 9: It was one of the better fun activity that you
- 1:20:35Speaker 9: could put together. Everybody's seeing the participate you were and
- 1:20:38Speaker 9: strong and athletic. Yeah, I was gonna say bullying today
- 1:20:42Speaker 9: is called bully because yeah, you better not play dodge sports.
- 1:20:46Speaker 9: You just said it was one of the more fun games, and.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: Well everybody would participate without the coach having to go yale,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: but but see and then he bought in because I
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: made the comment that, yeah, it was fun if you
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: were strong and athletic and quick. Because the kids who
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: weren't called it bully because they always got the bull
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: in the face of the ball where they got hurt.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: The person sit on the side.
- 1:21:14Speaker 9: The person is typically one dodgeball, was more fearless than
- 1:21:19Speaker 9: they were the great athlete.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: They were the one that was cool catching the ball
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: right in front of the case.
- 1:21:27Speaker 9: At some point you have to step up and catch
- 1:21:30Speaker 9: one of the ball and change it on the person.
- 1:21:33Speaker 9: If you can't leave it to just dodging the whole time. Yes,
- 1:21:37Speaker 9: at some point you have to step up and take
- 1:21:39Speaker 9: the challenge that this time when he or she throws it,
- 1:21:42Speaker 9: I'm gonna catch it. And that puts them out if
- 1:21:46Speaker 9: you just think you're gonna sit on that.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: Wall and does but wager and catching it is thinking
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: you about to catch it and then do that and
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: you get like like John said, but that's the fake.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: That's what you know, man, that's your evil about to
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: go to jail. People. Nobody was really throwing for the
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: face unless you you were ducking throwing it.
- 1:22:16Speaker 10: I went to high school, got.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying that was the game. Yeah, that
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: was the game. The correct place to throw is at
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: the leg, at the legs, that teacher in the RUMs
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: of dodgeball, not only was John the ball and the
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: correct If you want to win, if you just trying
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: to get back at the girl because she wouldn't give
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: you a date, or the guy because he took your
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: boyfriend and you want to lose, I want to win.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: So the two key things I knew was your target
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: the legs, because remember the ball, it just has to
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: scrape you, and you had to catch the ball. All
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: this hidden in the face that sounds like setting up
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: a game. Well, he doesn't want to win.
- 1:23:02Speaker 10: We want to try to.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: We got in and an effort for me to playsty
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: Tigle is thirty nine. Christy Tigan Teagan t is that
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: John Legend's wife is Cali Cucko. The actress is thirty nine.

- 1:23:28Speaker 9: Allen is eighty nine.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Robin Gibbings is the Big six zero. Hey, Robin, stop
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: rubbing your hands on the mic. You're gonna get us
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: all in jail. We I mean, we're just doing this
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: as a fun that is some kind of creepy get arrested.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: You're making it weird.
- 1:23:47Speaker 9: You're making it very weird. Like I don't even want
- 1:23:50Speaker 9: him to clock in today. Go to commercial. Bo Jackson
- 1:23:53Speaker 9: is sixty two years old. Go to commercial, no clock in,
- 1:23:57Speaker 9: no work. Yeah, man, don't cancel.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: You gotta get this whole segment. This whole segment jerked
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: off the show off and then you did that.

- 1:27:45Speaker 1: Shock Wayne Candy. Thanksgiving.
- 1:27:48Speaker 9: I hope you have something delicious to a day. Uh
- 1:27:53Speaker 9: you haters out there, I see you're still going at
- 1:27:55Speaker 9: Tom Brady. People want Fox to step in and get
- 1:28:00Speaker 9: Tom Brady to a jest. Then it says that the
- 1:28:03Speaker 9: powers that be I want the network excuse me, the
- 1:28:07Speaker 9: power that be at the network want the forty seven
- 1:28:09Speaker 9: year old to incorporate more commentary on what he seeing
- 1:28:13Speaker 9: on the field and less in tangible bulls. Then why
- 1:28:19Speaker 9: did you hire him? This is Tom style? You seem
- 1:28:24Speaker 9: to be What did you want from Tom Brady? Did
- 1:28:27Speaker 9: you think you were listening to guys give their commentary
- 1:28:31Speaker 9: and then Tom Brady's going to tell you something different?
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: Is that way?
- 1:28:35Speaker 9: Y'all gave him the four hundred million dollars first of
- 1:28:38Speaker 9: all to tell you what's going on on the field.
- 1:28:40Speaker 9: I would need to know the play. Almost made me
- 1:28:43Speaker 9: curse go ahead, because.
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: I do the same thing. I don't know the play.
- 1:28:49Speaker 9: How would I read the defense for what I need
- 1:28:51Speaker 9: to do if I don't know the play. The pausing
- 1:28:56Speaker 9: is that I'm sitting here waiting on the play that
- 1:28:58Speaker 9: happened too. I think out of what I think they
- 1:29:01Speaker 9: should do, run or pass or who I think they
- 1:29:05Speaker 9: should get the ball to, but I don't know the
- 1:29:07Speaker 9: play to be well, they were in a zone until
- 1:29:09Speaker 9: after the fact. Now, okay, now that you ran the play,
- 1:29:13Speaker 9: I can tell you what I saw. But it's hard
- 1:29:15Speaker 9: to predict, especially now where half the coordinators they are
- 1:29:20Speaker 9: listening to some analytic book. They're flipping through some pages like,
- 1:29:24Speaker 9: oh yeah, this is the play. It says seventy two
- 1:29:27Speaker 9: percent of the time, this play succeeds. So run this play.
- 1:29:31Speaker 9: That's not even a feel of the game. But Tom
- 1:29:35Speaker 9: Brady is in his first year. I'm quite sure if
- 1:29:37Speaker 9: we went back to John Matten, the man who set
- 1:29:41Speaker 9: the mark and listened to the first time, it's like
- 1:29:46Speaker 9: watching some of our great shows very seldom to the
- 1:29:49Speaker 9: first episode while you.
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: But guys, what do y'all want from Tom Brady? Well,
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: I'm still not understanding what they mean by they want
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: less intangible? What does that mean. I guess they don't
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: want his inside as far as what the quarterback should do.
- 1:30:06Speaker 10: But I thought that's that's what That's why y'all love
- 1:30:09Speaker 10: Tony Romo, That's why y'all love Troy Aitman. So what
- 1:30:13Speaker 10: was to deal with mister Brady? And and and you know,
- 1:30:16Speaker 10: I mean is that not Tony Romo talks about the
- 1:30:19Speaker 10: things that they sound the same, I mean not the same,
- 1:30:22Speaker 10: but I mean they're basically delving.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: And that's what I'm saying.
- 1:30:25Speaker 9: I think people thought that if you put Tom you
- 1:30:29Speaker 9: thought Tony Romo didn't know what he was talking about,
- 1:30:33Speaker 9: or you thought these other guys that are doing the job.
- 1:30:36Speaker 9: Or if I put so, if I put Magic, if
- 1:30:40Speaker 9: I put Magic or Michael in the place of Reggie Miller,
- 1:30:45Speaker 9: They're gonna tell me something different.
- 1:30:47Speaker 10: Ain't gonna get nothing.
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: You ain't gonna get You're gonna get nothing. Reggie is
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: the best person for that job that because the player
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: is great. It's like guys that can coach. Those guys
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: see the game different. That's why Mason Garrett could never
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: take Tom Troy Aitman's job on the field. But he
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: can run the stuff he can create in design.
- 1:31:11Speaker 9: But Bick Kenny, I think they thought that Tom Brady
- 1:31:15Speaker 9: was gonna come into Boot and spew.
- 1:31:18Speaker 10: Out some stuff magical lucky toms. As you say, can
- 1:31:24Speaker 10: what like uh okay now also play? Well, yeah, that's
- 1:31:29Speaker 10: what I'm saying. It's like they wanted him to actually
- 1:31:31Speaker 10: game and he quarterback. I don't understand.
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: It sounds as if maybe they were hoping that he
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: could predict the play before it's run and oh this
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: looks just definitely looks like a twenty through one slamp.
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: I heard it say some stuff like that on the broadcast.
- 1:31:51Speaker 10: He can, he can. You can guess what you think
- 1:31:52Speaker 10: the Alima but likes was John say wants to play?
- 1:31:55Speaker 10: Is developed?
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: Then are well see this? This is what what I
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: was thinking that they hit mean was there was once
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: I was watching and Tom Brady was commentating and he
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: said something that sounded very much to me technical, like
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: that was a twenty three trap slant something. And again
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: we're talking about sports as entertainment. The purists who understand
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: and appreciate that aren't really watching the sport that confuses them.
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: The girl that's sitting there and watching it because she
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: really likes these striped helmets and how they coordinate with
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: the stripes on the pants are the people who are
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: driving the advertisement on sports. So is Tom Brady too
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: big of an animal for the NFL broadcaster cage? Is
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: what I'm asking? Can I blaze he too technical? Does
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: he know too much to be able to do that
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: in a digestible way for the general public.
- 1:32:49Speaker 10: Let I'm gonna play Devil's advocate. Let's say that this
- 1:32:52Speaker 10: situation was going on with him being an owner. Maybe
- 1:32:55Speaker 10: this is the Fox way trying to get out of
- 1:32:57Speaker 10: the contract or push trying to push him out of move.
- 1:32:59Speaker 10: But I don't see like you said, like I'm like
- 1:33:01Speaker 10: what sports I can saying, he's basically doing giving you
- 1:33:04Speaker 10: Tony Romo and Troy Aikman. He's just a different voice
- 1:33:08Speaker 10: to me. And the thing about it is they're saying
- 1:33:11Speaker 10: that they want him to change. What what I'm telling
- 1:33:14Speaker 10: you is for you listeners, you have to stop with
- 1:33:19Speaker 10: what you feel. Stop going against the people that you hate.
- 1:33:30Speaker 10: When you click on if.
- 1:33:32Speaker 9: Matt Ryan is doing the game, stop thinking you know
- 1:33:36Speaker 9: more football than Matt.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: That's all you're doing. You're thinking that one guy who
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: won must know more football than the guy that lost.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: Is that would I be correct in assuming that? And
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: it's just natural person they think the person that lost
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: knows less. Well, no, I would assume really, because I mean,
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: if you know that much, surely you have applied that
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: knowledge in one right.
- 1:34:09Speaker 9: Know the receiver fumbled the ball before we got to
- 1:34:13Speaker 9: the end zone and the clock ran on, Well, that's.
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: Kind of well, that's kind of knowledge. That's kind of
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: I'm saying he should have known about kind that's kind
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: of knowledge. That's kind of what you know. Sports job.
- 1:34:25Speaker 10: They said that they what their their problem with Tom
- 1:34:28Speaker 10: is that he's focusing on pointing out leadership focus focusment focus,
- 1:34:33Speaker 10: on developing young players and accountability among veterans.
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: Well, what those are the things that he feels like
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: that's informally important important. I thought you wanted to know that,
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: Big Kenny. Well, and that's what I'm saying. You thought
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: I wanted to know it because you're a football person.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: The people that hired me thought you wanted to know
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: it because I'm a football person. But you didn't know
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: that I wasn't real football person. I'm just its own.
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: And my husband be leaving the room and I'll be
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: following him. So I'm sitting here and then Tom goes
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: thirty two right slant, and I go, why is this guy?
- 1:35:07Speaker 31: Who is he?
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: Didn't that just Sal's house bed? I listened to.
- 1:35:10Speaker 9: Tom, I listened to Tony Romo. The thing I love
- 1:35:13Speaker 9: about Tony Romo and Troy and any of them the
- 1:35:17Speaker 9: first thing I look for, can they put their accolade
- 1:35:21Speaker 9: aside and just talk? Meaning are they trying to hold
- 1:35:26Speaker 9: someone to something that they didn't do? Or talk above
- 1:35:30Speaker 9: people's head?
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: Because the great John Madden, that's the thing that we
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: all embraced with him, right, the great Hubie Brown.
- 1:35:40Speaker 9: They speak it and though they say Layman's turn right.
- 1:35:44Speaker 9: They don't try to give you. I always tell people
- 1:35:47Speaker 9: I'm not you ain't never gonna listen to game. I
- 1:35:49Speaker 9: be trying to tell you they're in four zone three
- 1:35:54Speaker 9: this Tampa two. Why would I tell you that they
- 1:35:58Speaker 9: got one man back in the center.
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: They say, he hits the hole gone this God, they
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: look like they're gonna catch him. He's gone. That's all.
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: That's that's what we're used to. We can take that
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: in tiny pieces and digest it and it's okay for us.
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: But seriously, think it's more about them. I think it's
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: that people hate Tom Brady.
- 1:36:20Speaker 10: Oh, that's what it is.
- 1:36:21Speaker 9: The haters of him get to comment and they want
- 1:36:23Speaker 9: him not to succeed because they don't want some people.
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: To win it life. Tom Brady seems to have one
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: some care because see he left Josel and got another
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: really good young lady and both he hit it there.
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: Now he scares a gag. You can't just go from
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: Jasel to Charlie Steering. The kind of man are you?
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: He scares a guy as an example, like he's not
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: supposed to have that kind of luck because I can't.
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: I can't, So he shouldn't be believe Kenny, he went
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: from a three hundred million dollar job to a four
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: hundred million dollar job. What kind of anarch, kisses tom
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: Break must be crazy, dude. I mean, I don't even
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: know why he let them people offer him this kind
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: of money, right, who would even accept the contract?
- 1:37:13Speaker 9: Ten years, three hundred and seventy five million dollars after
- 1:37:16Speaker 9: all that made He obviously must have something on.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: Him, right, Yeah, yeah, he got something on these people.
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: You got to be blackmailing them or something. And six
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: or seven Super Bowl and good hair. You've won so
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: many Super Bowls you started throwing the trophy from boat
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: to boat. That's how good your life got it that
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: Kenny wants you to know that.
- 1:37:38Speaker 9: Jeffs, if Justin Coombe show up to your hotel, don't
- 1:37:42Speaker 9: rent him a room.
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: He's been blacklisted, blacklisted. Your parties, no part no mansion parties.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: He can't rint mansions in the LA area because of
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: his behavior, which mimics from its description A lot of
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: the freak calls the gun the guns and roses claws. Yeah,
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: the guns and roses, like, look, if they show up,
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: just say that we're closed, because you know that was
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: Wasn't that the thing he can be a rock star
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: if you didn't hear someone can test some up. That's
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: always bothered me too. I've toured with people who were
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: into that. Hey man, you know what we're gonna do.
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: We're gonna rock star this hotel man as the stupid
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: I'm like, no, I know, we don't have to pay
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: for it. It'll be on the promotional company, but gonna
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: swing by about twelve fifteen. I'm the dude on some
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: hey man, put that in the trash, put that show
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: up in underwear in a leather vests and he coming
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: from outside, comes from outside. This is how he show

- 1:41:43Speaker 2: sing even very candy. What makes this sport shop child?
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: The sportshock wing candy. Spring training is a couple of
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: months away, commands you. Greg wants you to know this
- 1:41:54Speaker 2: year about thirteen teams will in spring training be using
- 1:41:59Speaker 2: UH robot umpires UH to call I guess balls and strikes.
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: We talked about.
- 1:42:09Speaker 9: This a couple of for the last couple of years
- 1:42:11Speaker 9: that they were going to use more machines and mechanisms
- 1:42:13Speaker 9: to call balls.
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: And why why, somebody please tell me why they don't
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: have to pay umpires.
- 1:42:23Speaker 9: Maybe, well, I think the umpire still has to be
- 1:42:26Speaker 9: there until as a as an overriding factor.
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: And why would you have a robot do it if
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: you're gonna let a human Gunah, not a robotn't.
- 1:42:35Speaker 9: I think the machine tells him balls and strikes in
- 1:42:37Speaker 9: his ear of something like that, and that how it's
- 1:42:40Speaker 9: going to work.
- 1:42:41Speaker 10: I'm not for sure, but uh, that don't sound too uh.
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: I mean.
- 1:42:46Speaker 10: The machine telling you what to call now, and see
- 1:42:49Speaker 10: if you call what they say ball and then you
- 1:42:51Speaker 10: call it a strike, do you get what happened then?
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: And then it's my opinion that a lot of this
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: is this technology is emerging and new, and it's probably
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: because if you for baseball to do something, Is this
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: all the function all sports? Is all this a function
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: of gambling at the at its core? Yeah, Because now
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: we can't say that the ump was bought off, We
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: can't say that he was paid, we can't say that
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: he was possibly, but the robot has to be programmed,
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: and we have to be well.
- 1:43:25Speaker 9: We wanted to match up. We want replay and officiating
- 1:43:30Speaker 9: to match up. One of the referees of the officials
- 1:43:34Speaker 9: that work from one of the networks other than they.
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: Was like sure. One of them finally said it, sure,
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: if you slow it down. Yeah, from frame to frame
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: it is over the back right, But it wouldn't have
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: portrayed that way to your eyes if you were standing
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: on the field, it would look like it was bang
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: bang right. But if I you know, and that's kind
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: of how it really is.
- 1:43:59Speaker 9: Everybody it seems to want the calls of the referees
- 1:44:03Speaker 9: to you know, in gregious situation, sure, where the guy
- 1:44:09Speaker 9: was completely out of bounds and you missed it.
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: Some most players are just situational we'll see.
- 1:44:15Speaker 10: But most judgment judgment calls a lot, because when it's
- 1:44:20Speaker 10: a judgment call, that's where you have to as an official,
- 1:44:23Speaker 10: you have to take ownership of that call. And that's
- 1:44:25Speaker 10: why I said that when you got the robot, when
- 1:44:28Speaker 10: you're saying with the with the gambling, it still has
- 1:44:32Speaker 10: to be the robot still has to be programmed. Just
- 1:44:34Speaker 10: like the machines in the in the casinos, they program.
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: But there's a lot to go into it as well
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: because they still haven't determined like what is what is
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: the strike zone? Like what what is We don't know
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: what the.
- 1:44:46Speaker 10: Strike zone at the one hundred years of baseball, but
- 1:44:49Speaker 10: what is it?
- 1:44:49Speaker 19: Is it?
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: Like the what we see when we if you watch
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: a game and you see the square or the rectangle
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: on the screen, is that the strike zone? Is it
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: supposed to be?
- 1:44:57Speaker 10: But that's the beauty, that's the beauty of being in
- 1:44:59Speaker 10: a official. Each official has their own strike zone, if
- 1:45:02Speaker 10: you know, in baseball, but they.
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: Want a uniform, that's what. Here's the first thing all
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: sports need to do, in my small opinion, stop changing
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: the rules every year. Can if you stop that so
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: people can actually adjust to what it is that you
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: want see and that then maybe we could you know,
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: it would be a little but just like a referee,
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: what y'all wasn't calling that last year? We go back
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: and forth.
- 1:45:30Speaker 9: It's like the player don't even have time to make
- 1:45:34Speaker 9: adjustments to what it is that you're saying, because remember
- 1:45:37Speaker 9: when I ended last season, that wasn't a penalty.
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: Now it's vertical, and I would say to add this
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: to it, and for real, I mean you said about
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: what do they want? First of all, they should identify
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: the people that they're trying to please, because they keep
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: changing the rules based on different people coming to the
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: sport every season and having an observation and then flooding
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: the league with that, and then they change it and
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: then those people don't watch it.
- 1:46:08Speaker 10: But are they talking to the like you said though,
- 1:46:10Speaker 10: are they talking to the players? Are the players having
- 1:46:13Speaker 10: this concern about the rule, honestly?
- 1:46:15Speaker 9: And that's where we, like I have said, I've never
- 1:46:18Speaker 9: in my time. I started thirteen, I went to thirty nine.
- 1:46:22Speaker 9: That's twenty six years of football. At no meeting in
- 1:46:25Speaker 9: all those years that I ever hear anybody come out,
- 1:46:30Speaker 9: we need to change. They're hitting too hard. So whatever
- 1:46:35Speaker 9: the hitting rules, protect yourself at all time. That's all
- 1:46:40Speaker 9: I can tell you.
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: Out. I don't know what don't play.
- 1:46:44Speaker 10: Don't play that.
- 1:46:47Speaker 9: You want to do to peel back on you, Big Kenny,
- 1:46:49Speaker 9: that used to going over there to the concession stand,
- 1:46:54Speaker 9: but then somebody's somebody's mama.
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: Got close enough to the ad to go I don't
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: think they should do it like that. And he was like, Okay,
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to look into that.
- 1:47:06Speaker 9: Michelle Obama is producing a dating show out of Atlanta.
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: Is that what you brought to me? Command you Thailand's
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: in trouble. That's all that means. What is going to
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: make her dating show unique other than it is Michelle Obama?
- 1:47:28Speaker 30: I think for those who are fans of shows like
- 1:47:32Speaker 30: Love Island or Temptation Island, I don't have those are.
- 1:47:43Speaker 3: So not not that.
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: But the shows where it's a bunch of people in
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: a house and there are a bunch of single people
- 1:47:51Speaker 1: mingling or whatever yea to keep it clean.
- 1:47:56Speaker 30: This is a this is a family show on Netflix,
- 1:48:00Speaker 30: so we know it is going to go, but it
- 1:48:02Speaker 30: will be with uh senior citizens.
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: And see. Now this is the thing that concerns me
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: with the platform, the concept it's been done, running to
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: the ground, the dating concept. It being on Netflix means
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: that the language and content can be a little more adult.
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: Now they're attaching this to seniors qualified happily married, so
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: something like the Golden Bachelor. That's and that's what I said,
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: we already got. And that the show I didn't know
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: it had a name. It's called the.
- 1:48:34Speaker 10: Later Daters, the Later Daters or the divorce Daters.
- 1:48:39Speaker 30: No well, I mean it's okay. I guess they would
- 1:48:43Speaker 30: have been they would be divorced, but that the name
- 1:48:46Speaker 30: of the show is the Later Daters.
- 1:48:49Speaker 1: And is that really Michelle? Is that presidential?
- 1:48:54Speaker 27: No?
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: Is that presidential? She president? But it's just out there
- 1:49:02Speaker 1: supporters that.
- 1:49:04Speaker 10: She could be the president.
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: And now you're doing a Dayton show they say that
- 1:49:08Speaker 1: she is the next.
- 1:49:09Speaker 9: Best stop with the hating because you're just getting aggressive
- 1:49:13Speaker 9: your voice on one up because you're a Republican and
- 1:49:16Speaker 9: you want to take a dump on the Democrats.
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: So relax, relas we heard you.
- 1:49:22Speaker 10: I'm just trying to pull in.
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: She she she's trying to make some money. We'll be
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: back to sports show. Don't go awayne Board of the
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: Sports Josh Hill with Wayne Dandy. Yes, coming up next, Dames,
- 1:49:55Speaker 1: what are you doing what? I'm just mowing the lawn.
- 1:49:59Speaker 14: No, it's it's blazing hot and dry out here.
- 1:50:01Speaker 27: Don't you remember Smokey Bear.
- 1:50:03Speaker 37: Says avoid using power equipment when it's windyer dry.
- 1:50:07Speaker 1: Where'd you learn this?
- 1:50:09Speaker 31: Oh?
- 1:50:09Speaker 37: It's on smokeybear dot com with many other wildfire prevention tips.
- 1:50:14Speaker 1: Right, thanks honey bear.
- 1:50:16Speaker 37: Because remember, only you can prevent wildfires brought.
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: To you by the USDA Forest Service, your state forester,
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: in the AD Council.
- 1:50:24Speaker 13: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:50:27Speaker 13: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:50:30Speaker 13: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:50:34Speaker 13: life insurance.
- 1:50:35Speaker 32: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:50:37Speaker 32: just getting started with our family and thought we lived
- 1:50:39Speaker 32: forever life insurance.
- 1:50:40Speaker 1: What's the last thing on my mind? What about you?
- 1:50:42Speaker 14: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:50:44Speaker 32: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:50:46Speaker 32: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:50:48Speaker 32: survive without me. That's what I made an appointment with
- 1:50:50Speaker 32: the insurance informant.
- 1:50:52Speaker 13: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:50:55Speaker 13: security no matter what stage of.
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: Life you're in. Now that I'm older, I don't worry
- 1:50:59Speaker 1: about what they're my family. The bills are benefits.
- 1:51:01Speaker 13: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:51:04Speaker 13: whether you earn a little or a lot, all you
- 1:51:06Speaker 13: need is the insurance informat to help you build a
- 1:51:09Speaker 13: foundation of security. Because without you, your family will have
- 1:51:12Speaker 13: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave
- 1:51:16Speaker 13: behind log on today benefits or bills dot com. That's
- 1:51:20Speaker 13: Benefits orbills dot com.
- 1:51:25Speaker 1: And now back to the sports Job Wayne Gandy.
- 1:51:31Speaker 33: Now it's time for a school board when we put
- 1:51:34Speaker 33: a spin on life and sports and how they intermingle
- 1:51:39Speaker 33: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:52:04Speaker 9: Welcome back to this what shuck shuh, this what shuck
- 1:52:06Speaker 9: Wing Gandy commanche Thailand. You've taken Big Kenny back to
- 1:52:12Speaker 9: senior prum right there with that that that song right.
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: Now, don't don't do any like that sports you know.
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: That was Junior High.
- 1:52:20Speaker 9: Hawks were fined one hundred thousand dollars for holding Tray
- 1:52:24Speaker 9: Young out in the NBA Cup game last week against
- 1:52:30Speaker 9: the Boston Celtics. Actually it was November twelfth against the
- 1:52:33Speaker 9: Boston Celtics. Trey Young did not play. The Hawks did
- 1:52:37Speaker 9: win that game, but they violated basically the rule where
- 1:52:43Speaker 9: in national TV games you really have to show legitimate
- 1:52:48Speaker 9: injury to be out there. There can't be any question
- 1:52:52Speaker 9: about your availability. And they put that rule in like
- 1:52:55Speaker 9: two years ago for national game especially those NBA Cup
- 1:53:00Speaker 9: games that they have made the Cup the big thing.
- 1:53:04Speaker 9: So I guess the Hawks didn't really have a paper
- 1:53:06Speaker 9: trail of why he's hurt? Right, he just know his
- 1:53:10Speaker 9: body up on the report that said he know his body.
- 1:53:22Speaker 9: For you Wicked fans, they are not playing at these
- 1:53:25Speaker 9: theaters with this Wicked movie. We talked about not singing
- 1:53:29Speaker 9: with the songs. They also have a rule that you
- 1:53:32Speaker 9: cannot paint your face to go into the movie. So
- 1:53:37Speaker 9: some movie goers have been painting their face, most of
- 1:53:42Speaker 9: them green like the Witch, and the theaters have asked
- 1:53:48Speaker 9: them to go to the restroom and remove it. They
- 1:53:52Speaker 9: say it's a security Yes, it is issue.
- 1:53:54Speaker 1: Do you remember the young man when the Batman movie
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: came out and he came in dressed like the Joker.
- 1:54:00Speaker 1: I don't know what you're doing. Yeah, you say you're
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: here to see Wicked, but maybe you're not. So why
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: want to be Wicked? Do two things? Go to the
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: bathroom and wash your face, and two grow up. It's
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: a movie. It's a movie. Why are you dressed as
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: a character from the movie. Did you have a role?
- 1:54:17Speaker 5: No?
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: You did not. No, you did not.
- 1:54:19Speaker 9: Boise State withdraws from the Mountain West Volleyball Tournament rather
- 1:54:24Speaker 9: than play San Jose State transgender athlete Blair Fleming in
- 1:54:31Speaker 9: the controversy with San Jose State that's going on the
- 1:54:34Speaker 9: entire season. The judge ruled a couple of days ago
- 1:54:37Speaker 9: that Blair Fleming could play in the tournament, but Boise State,
- 1:54:43Speaker 9: which would be about six or seven teams this season,
- 1:54:47Speaker 9: has withdrawn from the tournament because of that reason that
- 1:54:54Speaker 9: they just it's just people are trying to take their
- 1:54:58Speaker 9: minds in the sand. Yes, look, we won't play.
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: Matter of fact, we'll let the league, will let the conference,
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: will let all of that collapse because as a result
- 1:55:07Speaker 1: of them not playing San Jose State, they've advanced in
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: the final semifinal rounds of these volleyball competitions and that's
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: not gonna sit well with the people. This is proving
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: the point and they have went as far as to
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: pull his childhood boy pictures just to prove the point
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: that well, my point about in what they're trying to
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: prove is that this affects opportunities for female athletes. Here
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: we are, we could be going to the championship. We're
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: not even gonna play because we're concerned about safety.
- 1:55:43Speaker 9: And and that's a big move, you know, think about it.
- 1:55:48Speaker 9: You got yeah, you got three or four maybe five
- 1:55:50Speaker 9: girls the women excuse me, that are singiers that they're
- 1:55:55Speaker 9: willing to forfeit never playing in college again at this point.
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: Yeah, before they make that. And when you forfeit, isn't
- 1:56:03Speaker 1: there a financial penalty on the side. Yes, So I
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: mean these schools know that they're going to forfeit in advance,
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: and they're willing to come under scrutiny and be assessed
- 1:56:16Speaker 1: these penalties and violations and all of that in an
- 1:56:19Speaker 1: effort to draw their line and not allow people to
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: cross it. And I think that this is going to
- 1:56:24Speaker 1: be one of those defining moments in collegiate sports going forward.
- 1:56:28Speaker 9: Another massive contract has been handed out by the Los
- 1:56:32Speaker 9: Angeles Dodgers, the champs. This goes to the left hander
- 1:56:36Speaker 9: Blake Snail. Interesting that some of this money has been deferred.
- 1:56:43Speaker 9: It's saying the deal, which is pending of physical includes
- 1:56:47Speaker 9: no ops outsh and some deferred money and a fifty
- 1:56:52Speaker 9: two million dollar signing bonus. But that deferred money is
- 1:56:55Speaker 9: under controversy because the Dodger seems to be able to
- 1:56:59Speaker 9: consist get the players that they bring in to defer
- 1:57:03Speaker 9: some of that money. Now it is pushing the levels
- 1:57:08Speaker 9: of fairness because it takes the strain off of the
- 1:57:13Speaker 9: organization to have to pony up money. Now, I think
- 1:57:17Speaker 9: that's to answer your question, Comanche, if you had to
- 1:57:21Speaker 9: come up with the money today, could you make this
- 1:57:25Speaker 9: move by deferring it. The player sometimes love it because
- 1:57:30Speaker 9: the accountant can now take whatever you might have deferred
- 1:57:33Speaker 9: put it under a different state once you're finished. So
- 1:57:38Speaker 9: you leave out of.
- 1:57:40Speaker 1: Out of California and move to Texas or Florida where
- 1:57:43Speaker 1: there is no sales tax or I mean state tax. Yes, and.
- 1:57:48Speaker 9: Work the numbers, and you see that you save six
- 1:57:51Speaker 9: fives whatever percent, which is a lot of money when
- 1:57:54Speaker 9: you talk about these huge contracts. Yes, yes, so trust me,
- 1:57:59Speaker 9: the LA player or California excuse me, probably are loving it.
- 1:58:03Speaker 9: It's one of the reasons why in some contracts you
- 1:58:06Speaker 9: can see a Florida player you think, oh, he was
- 1:58:09Speaker 9: the number one receiver, but he took well, he didn't
- 1:58:11Speaker 9: really take less because Florida has no state tax. The
- 1:58:17Speaker 9: player in California or New York Texas he got nine
- 1:58:22Speaker 9: eleven percent state tax that he has to pay. So
- 1:58:25Speaker 9: at the end of the day, I actually made more money.
- 1:58:28Speaker 9: But I'm quite sure there's a firm for other teams
- 1:58:31Speaker 9: is you know what, a more of a gentleman thing.
- 1:58:36Speaker 9: They're probably doing it legally, but it's a you know,
- 1:58:40Speaker 9: one of those things where you become the evil empire
- 1:58:42Speaker 9: like the Yankees, because they would make these kind of.
- 1:58:46Speaker 1: These deals.
- 1:58:49Speaker 10: Doing it. Now they don't figure out how to do it.
- 1:58:51Speaker 10: They just like, I know what I'm saying, Dodgers, all
- 1:58:54Speaker 10: of them. What I'm saying, sometimes you get a black
- 1:58:56Speaker 10: eye in sports and things. I'm saying, you're willing to go,
- 1:59:00Speaker 10: not that you're breaking the rule, but your will.
- 1:59:02Speaker 1: But we didn't. We always just kind of left that
- 1:59:05Speaker 1: and let that be right. But we're gonna actually use
- 1:59:08Speaker 1: that now. I think it's interesting that you say you
- 1:59:11Speaker 1: got a fifty two million dollar signing bonus. That's not
- 1:59:14Speaker 1: like an IOU. They're still having to negotiate and pay
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: that money with the signing bonus. It's just not the
- 1:59:21Speaker 1: exorbitant amounts, because when we're talking about the Dodgers, they're
- 1:59:25Speaker 1: the minimum one hundred million dollar contract people, right, yeah.
- 1:59:31Speaker 9: Yeah, And it's it works out for the players, trust me,
- 1:59:33Speaker 9: because anytime you can kind of put off and if
- 1:59:36Speaker 9: you live like a Bobby, you had to live because
- 1:59:40Speaker 9: that's all you risk. Even with the lottery, you can
- 1:59:42Speaker 9: take it in a lump song or you can pay
- 1:59:44Speaker 9: it out. It's based on how you feel you're gonna
- 1:59:46Speaker 9: live where you at in your life. Very rarely do
- 1:59:49Speaker 9: you hear about the twenty year payment. But there's been
- 1:59:53Speaker 9: a couple of times at the people because you get
- 1:59:54Speaker 9: more money.
- 1:59:55Speaker 27: Right.
- 1:59:56Speaker 9: But if you fifty seven, yeah, you're probably gonna cash out.
- 2:00:01Speaker 9: If you're twenty seven.
- 2:00:03Speaker 1: You gonna see what he like, might see what it
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: might happen with you. You know, just stop you know,
- 2:00:08Speaker 1: selling and stop drinking. You might see the old twenty years.
- 2:00:11Speaker 1: But damn, what's the sension being in your twenties? Am
- 2:00:14Speaker 1: I right? And we are an ocean?
- 2:00:19Speaker 33: The truth is he will throw your in the ocean.
- 2:00:23Speaker 3: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Jug Show.
- 2:00:27Speaker 1: With Wayne Candy. When you're the sounds an ocean that
- 2:00:51Speaker 1: gives us more shout test a minute to venta.
- 2:00:53Speaker 9: It's almost game time up in Detroit, Detroit hosting the Bears,
- 2:00:58Speaker 9: Dallas Hoping hosting the Giants, and the Packers hosting the
- 2:01:04Speaker 9: Dolphins tomorrow.
- 2:01:06Speaker 1: One thing I did forget.
- 2:01:09Speaker 9: The Raiders of going to Kansas City at three pm
- 2:01:13Speaker 9: on Friday should be a great game of division robbery.
- 2:01:18Speaker 9: It's Thanksgiving, and I was going to be the bigger
- 2:01:21Speaker 9: man and not throw anybody in ocean.
- 2:01:25Speaker 1: And then I saw that James W.
- 2:01:28Speaker 9: Mayfield, the father of Baker Mayfield, and in bezel twelve
- 2:01:38Speaker 9: million dollars of Baker's money.
- 2:01:41Speaker 1: I tell you, man, Caine did kill Abel.
- 2:01:44Speaker 9: And I think that's why that was in the Bible,
- 2:01:47Speaker 9: one of the most historic moments in the Bible. First
- 2:01:51Speaker 9: James Mayfield, who is the director of Camwood Capitol and
- 2:01:58Speaker 9: where it was investing Baker's money, along with Baker's mom
- 2:02:05Speaker 9: brother Matt may Feel excuse me, not mother, brother Matt Mayfiel,
- 2:02:12Speaker 9: I mean sued by Baker. Baker says that he went
- 2:02:16Speaker 9: and did the numbers, looked at the account Big Kenny
- 2:02:18Speaker 9: Comanchi and bad producers.
- 2:02:22Speaker 1: It was twelve million dollars short. Twelve million dollars will
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: make you sue somebody. Wait, now, are you sure? Your brother?
- 2:02:29Speaker 1: And daddy said, and you said, wasn't there? What's crazy?
- 2:02:33Speaker 9: That is so crazy?
- 2:02:35Speaker 1: But you wait, let me look at that.
- 2:02:37Speaker 10: They talked about that last Thanksgiving, though, but Baker and
- 2:02:39Speaker 10: his wife are suing.
- 2:02:42Speaker 22: They turned into Leger sideways, like, are you sure they
- 2:02:46Speaker 22: have a fiul a lawsuit in the US District Court
- 2:02:49Speaker 22: down in Texas to try to recoup that money from
- 2:02:53Speaker 22: Baker's father and brother, Matt, and so I had to
- 2:02:58Speaker 22: throw them in the ocean commands walk the plank.
- 2:03:10Speaker 9: When I tell the story, all I could think of
- 2:03:12Speaker 9: is to brutee and believe you out here, brutus? Did
- 2:03:17Speaker 9: you just stamp in the back?
- 2:03:18Speaker 1: Brutus? Ain't two and ain't too too? My brother and
- 2:03:23Speaker 1: my daddy. Come on, man, come on. Don't you have
- 2:03:27Speaker 1: a great Thanksgiving?
- 2:03:28Speaker 9: Eat something delicious, Stay safe during the holidays, and we
- 2:03:32Speaker 9: will see you.
- 2:03:33Speaker 1: Writing early on Monday from the sports Stop show Peace
