A judge has approved moving forward with capital murder charges against De’Kendrick Crawford, accused of killing two former coworkers in Tuscaloosa County. The victims, Jazmine Bates and Jose Alvarez-Duenas, were found dead during a welfare check; both were well-liked employees at Buffalo Phil’s. Crawford, already wanted for a separate shooting incident, was identified via doorbell footage and is being held without bond as prosecutors seek indictment.
