I am, of course, Blake, and I am with my dazzling co host who is in her vacation makeup today, Casey. Hey Casey. Casey: Hey y'all, I'm on island time and by island time I mean Delaware doxing myself. The Delaware beaches. If you're here, come find me. If not, I'm not staying that long. Blake: If you're h when you stream when you stream this, if you're here and and I'm still here, come find me. Casey: Literally let's link up. But yes, I am on vacation, Blake: Island Casey: so that's why this ep is slightly delayed, but I still had to make the time for for you guys. Blake: we always will make the time. Let's make that clear. Why don't we why don't we just do a quick little shout out to our listeners? Because and and viewers, we don't it's we don't discriminate. But you guys have been amazing. We really, really, really fucking appreciate you guys. We started this podcast in literally like the beginning of February, and I would say like Casey and I are constantly sh Not shocked, but pleasantly surprised at the amount of people who are consistently like DMing us or messaging us or commenting like where's the episode or like we want the episode or like you just like engaging and like there seems to be like a genuine like community of people who are like naturally organically into this podcast and that that really just feels awesome. So I just wanna say thank you guys. Casey: It means so much. We literally get so excited about every comment, like every little thing. We see it all. You guys are the day ones. We will not forget y'all. Like don't don't not that's not the way to talk. Remember. Remember this. When we're huge. And honestly. We'll get you guys something, like a gift or something. Like you can take this on paper. Like I will send out something to the to the day oneers when we're huge. Blake: We'll commemorate a milestone by taking stock of who was there for us at the very beginning and we will not forget y'all. Let's put it that way. Let's put it that way. Casey: Never ever ever ever. Blake: But yeah, thank you guys, really means a lot. We of course just love that you are entertained by this. I mean, we just sit up here every fucking week Casey: Sure, for sure. Blake: and and talk nonsense. And it just Casey: Right, we're entertaining ourselves, so we're glad that you are liking it too, because we like it. Blake: well anyway, so but thank you guys, love you, and just just know that we see you, we appreciate you. Special shout out to our special shout out to a very, very loyal listener, Logan. I will not say your last name because I am not sure if you want to be doxxed. We're gonna cut it. Casey: He he just did, but but we're gonna cut it, Logan. Don't worry. Blake: I but I did accidentally just say it. And Casey, the privacy queen over here, was like, maybe don't. so but but thank you, Logan, because we see you too. We see you, we hear you, and we You matter to us. You matter to us a lot. Casey: So much. I mean, like everyone else listening to this right now is like, okay, like skip like Blake: Ha ha Casey: as I like take a moment a silo what a soliloquy to talk about Logan. Like, but Blake: Ha ha. Casey: Logan, we love you. We literally love you. Everyone needs to be like Logan and be all up in our comment section and likes. Cause we love you, Logan. You're the realest. Maybe if you're lucky. Blake: Yup, yep. And then maybe you can get a shout out where I accidentally dox you. And Casey: You could be just like Logan, getting a verbal shout out on our podcast. Blake: You can get swatted by Blake Marola on this podcast. I just doxed myself. Just kidding. Obviously, everyone was swaying. Anyway, Casey, moving on. I do have a question for you to segue into our topic today. Have you ever had a years-long, turbulent, girl-so-confusing kind of friendship where you didn't know if the person actually liked you or hated you or why they kept wanting to hang around you, but kept making comments about you and digs and talking about you behind your back and then ultimately you said, fuck this, I'm done. Casey: I mean like kind of. I feel like to an extent most women have had like some type of friend where like either they've realized it afterwards that it was a girl so confusing relationship where like they didn't actually you thought you were good, but then in the later times you're like, wait, that person like actually despised me. Like okay. But You know, women are shady and women feel a need to like keep the peace, you know, not mess up group vibes. So like people force themselves to be friends with people that they would never really want to be friends with. And that's when conflict arises. And that's why Bravo s Bravo's setup works so well, because they are literally forcing people together that would never be friends otherwise, and conflict arises. Just like the real world. Blake: Yeah, and I will I will I will ask you, 'cause obviously, listener, we are about to delve into one of the most bedrock relationships of the Bravo verse, Ramona and Bethany, but I'm gonna have to ask you before we continue and begin I should say, who do you see yourself as in this situation, if you had to pick? I feel like I know the answer. Casey: I mean like I would never Personally, I say that Ramona represents me in any situation. Like, I Blake: Ha ha Casey: don't feel a kinship with her. I don't Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: I don't relate to her moves. So, like, I simply can't go that direction. So, I have to be Bethany in this one. And I think Bethany and Blake: Wow. Casey: I are similar, even though she does bug me. She's not one of my favorite housewives. But I think that me and her have a similar snarkiness that like we both carry over. Where like we don't actually like, we're not mad about anything. It's kind of funny, but it's a little snarky. Like I kind of have that same humor. So I relate to some of her reactions here. And I think I've had plenty of friends where I've been like, this is so bizarre. Like, are you normal? Like what is going on right now? Like, I literally feel like I'm hallucinating in this conversation. Like I'm being rational and and calm and like communicative and this person is making me feel like I'm the batshit one. So I do I think I'm with Beth. I'm with big big bad Beth this whole feud. There's really not many times that I am on Ramona's side. Blake: I will say I would agree because I think that Ramona I would s I would say I agree up until maybe like the very tail end of their relationship and that's when I start to see like how and maybe I guess we'll get into it, whatever, but I can start start to see like how Bethany is impossible to really like be friends with unless you just mesh kind of a hundred percent. Like you know, you have to be somebody where it's Casey: No, it's true. Blake: easy for her or she doesn't really care, you know? Casey: I also think like if it was anybody else in this feud, I would probably give them more more weight behind their anger and their grievances, but since it's Ramona and like she really is so out there with some of these situations that like it's wild. But it's it is honestly interesting because we just did a scary island episode. If you didn't listen to it, as always, go do so. It's amazing as every episode is here at the Mention It All Again pod. But Blake: Come on, guys Casey: It's it's interesting Blake: slackin'. Casey: to see how this feud like all of a sudden pops up and then spans the entire goddamn show because there was a time where they were like pretty good. Like Scary Island, they were on the same team and it was Alliance down and that was post Brooklyn Bridge, which that's where we're starting. But they make it back from it. Like in my mind I think of Rony as like split in half, like early Rony and then like Golden Age Rony and early Rony, they're pretty much fine beyond the Brooklyn Bridge, which is where we'll begin our analysis of this gorgeous, gorgeous feud. Blake: So this is season three, episode six to be exact. And at this time, Bethany and Jill were besties. They were just fall starting to fall out. Like their friendship just shattered. And so Casey: Like literally actively falling out through this entire season. But this episode, especially episode six, like this is early. Like they are just kinda getting into the the issue. So Ramona tries to take Beth out to be like let's let's fix this since we're early. We're not in Doomesville just yet, but we kinda are. Blake: Just yet. And Beth Bethany basicly, you know, they get together, they're crossing the bridge to go hang out in Brooklyn with Alex and Simon, which you know Ramona never goes to Brooklyn, so this was like a big deal. Casey: Right. Blake: And they're you know, Bethany literally just says, I contacted Jill. Like I took your advice, I contacted Jill and she doesn't want to meet me. And choose like literally one sentence and then Ramona's response is like, Well, you know you're not like the easiest person to talk to And then it kind of like devolves from there. Like bet Ramona kind of doesn't really It's like she just she it seems like she had her own agenda with how she was going to approach this conversation because she's not responding to her just wanting to like console her about Jill. She just starts like kind of dumping her perspective on Bethany onto her and then brings up that there was like a story about Bethany in the press, Bethany and Jill that like she's like, I think you put it there, because you're a press monger. And I I just feel like you planted the story, like you alwa you're like, you know, you always want press. And so it just immediately devolves and Bethany just feels like, wait, okay, I'm like being like shanked right now by Ramona. Like I thought we were supposed to have like little girls walk across the bridge. It's Casey: It's like sunny out, beautiful day, they're in their tracksuits, ready to get some exercise in, go kiki with with Alex and Simon in Brooklyn. You know, Ramona has her true faith tee on, bedazzled, she's feeling good. She's got like a beige tan tracksuit on, and she was Blake: Ha ha. Casey: ready to terrorize Bethany. And Bethany thought she was gonna have a nice goddamn Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: day, but but no. and it's funny because like there's people walking around them on the Brooklyn Bridge. Like there's plenty of people also making the same journey. And they are immediately screaming at the start of the bridge. And you know there's cameras recording as well. So I can only imagine how annoyed the passerby must be of like, I came here for a nice walk myself. Like holy hell, like what is going on? Blake: Right. Now there's like a camera guy like stepping on my toes and like these women are screaming at each other, like, Jesus fucking Christ, what's going on here? Casey: No, it's it's wild. And Ramona gets very vicious very fast and we get to the the most defensive thing she probably says on this walk. Yeah, I'm sure you are taking it personally, Bethany. I I would be too. Blake: I would I would like I don't understand because what you have to understand listener is that they like truly they started this walk in a very like neutral seemingly positive Casey: Yeah. Blake: even like like place and Ramona just like cannot help herself to be nasty and vicious and it's like it's like hard like it's hard to believe as she continues to say throughout the years that like she just is being honest and like it's not meant to be mean. It's hard to believe she doesn't know that like being honest can also be like your delivery the way you say something to someone can be mean even if that is the truth or that's just how you feel about something. And she consistently acts like being honest justifies like the way you say something Casey: Right. That's her defense. very often. It's like that's just who I am. Like I just say say what I'm thinking. And like as someone who also has a big mouth and also often just says what they're thinking and considers myself to be pretty honest, there is a difference between saying something that's like mildly annoying and annoys somebody and saying something like this. Like this isn't just like being honest. Being honest is like if somebody like wants to go to a restaurant and you're like this restaurant kind of sucks. Like it might hurt their feelings if they picked it, but you're not like defaming their character And like who they are at their core and your entire friendship. Like, that's totally different. So, like, sometimes I understand that point of view of like most people just keep it to themselves, and I I can't help it. Like, little comments like that, but this isn't a little comment like that. This is a big I pre-thought about this, I have been thinking about this for a while. It's we've said this before too. It's when a friend like clearly came into a conversation with you with a bunch of stuff to dump on you, like they've been building it up over however long. And Bethany says that to She's like, clearly you are resentful of me about a number of things, because I thought we were gonna have a lovely little walk and you laid into me. Like what what the hell? Blake: Yeah, like Ramona, I think, doesn't understand that like honesty can also equal projection and people can see that your honesty is coming from a place of, you feel this way about me and it seems like there's an underlying like it's not in a vacuum. You know, it's like again, like you said, one thing to have an opinion about something, another thing to be like, you know, she's trying to b like she's trying to get your adv or she's like I s I followed your advice, I reached out to Jill, you know, Casey: Mm-hmm. Blake: blah blah blah and then for you to just start dumping well, you know, that thing in the press, I think you put it there. It's like, so you clearly like hold on like you're not this c safe Casey: Right. Blake: space for me. You clearly like almost are happy to see me in this position of Casey: Yes. Blake: like fighting with her and then okay like you're kind of getting what you deserve in my view, and so I'm gonna take this opportunity Casey: Hundred percent. Blake: to like kick you while you're down. Like that's kind of how Ramona comes across when she's being quote unquote honest. Casey: I mean, she literally has Bethany s in tears by the time they're at the center of the bridge. Like, they're not even done yet with this walk and it's horrible, rancid vibes. Like, and she she does realize this in the moment that she has created a hostile environment. So she tries to backtrack, like now that it's horribly awkward and Bethany is sobbing. So yeah. Blake: Well 'cause yeah. 'Cause Bethany's Bethany's just like I don't know what is going on like where did this come from? You just came like you just eviscerated my character and my like life. Like she's like Casey: Right. Like she says, I'm happy in a r my relationship. How would I not take you being like, Your life sucks? Like you you have one person and you're gonna lose him. Like how do I not take Blake: Right. Casey: that offensively? Like when I think I'm in like the best relationship ever. Spoiler alert. She's not, but she thinks that right now. Blake: Right, and Ramona isn't like it's not like she has insider knowledge that you Casey: No. Blake: know, is why she's saying that. She's just being like rude. So Casey: A dick, yeah. Blake: yeah, so like literally Bethany is like, I can't wait to get off I never thought I would say this, but I can't wait to get off the bridge and hang out with Alex and Simon because like get me away from this lunatic. And then the the way that this scene is so is shot is we're gonna put up a picture. It's like Casey: Wow. Blake: Is the the like the wide angle of them Vermona in her camel tracksuit, Bethany, this was poor Bethany too, or like this was like on the come-up Bethany. Casey: Like this is so stunning. It took my breath away. I was like, wow, beautiful, beautiful shot. A way to get the bridge. You know, they're clearly mid argument. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Like it really it really captures a live, beautiful scene. That means a lot to so many Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: of us. So thank you, cameraman or woman, or or person. Blake: No, literally, and this isn't at camera they them. And this Casey: Yes. Yeah. Blake: is not the first time that they they have like this level of cinematography, which we'll see later down the line. So tracking our trajectory here, that is sort of like where we begin the like I would say tension in their relationship. P pe Casey: Yeah. And that's the first like true conflict that we have. And as aforementioned, they make up by Scary Island, which is like five episodes later, and then they're pretty much their allies because the teams this season in season three and for a little bit are Luann Jill. Kelly versus Bethany, Ramona, Alex, and then sometimes Sonia as we as we go on the teams evolve a little bit, but for right now, they're pretty much good. In in the early Rony era, there's not very crucial feud moments for the two of them. It it happens more so when Bethany gets back from her her little hiatus. So she's gone from Blake: Yeah. Casey: what is it, season four four, five? Blake: Season so she leaves season f she's yeah, four through six are the seasons she's not in, so seven is her first back. So this is already to her like last season before she takes her like break. Casey: Right. Blake: which is why you don't really get a lot of them feuding at the beginning, 'cause she didn't really have enough time to like get to a place where she realized I would say she had more time to feud with Luann at the beginning. Casey: Right, she had bigger fish to fry. She had Kelly in her ear, she had the Jill Blake: Yeah. Casey: that thing pop up. She had like casual feuds with Luann. I wouldn't say to like this level, but they're more like fun shade besides the the Bob thing. Blake: This this is a this is a this is a feud that took like you had to put it in the oven and let it bake, you know, like I think that Luann and Bethany immediately kind of clashed because it was such an obvious like difference in who they were, like the countess and the the manners versus like the woman whose apartment is made of IKEA and I think with Ramona, it's like on s the surface, I think they do have a lot of things quote unquote in common, which is why I think they kind of have this like will they, won't they relationship. But then like once they literally just start talking to each other, it's like, we are so different. Casey: Well, and for the mention it all again pod requirements for a true feud episode. We're looking for like the ones that aren't we're not talking one season, we're not talking one episode, we are talking consistent patterns over multiple seasons. We are doing the the research, we are doing the episode gathering, the moment gathering, Blake: Yeah. Casey: you know, so like Luann would actually be a very hard person to do an episode like this on because she cares so little about things like this. She you have to have two grudge holders and two stubborn people who are gonna Have this keep happening over and over again. Luann is difficult for that because she doesn't let them get to her in the same way that like Bethany and Ramona do very often. Blake: It's very true and I and Luann honestly like is just better at knowing how to smooth something over so that she can have a good time. Whereas Ramona like genuinely needs to be like instructed to just not talk so that something like they can just like have a good vacation without like it getting into an argument. Whereas Luin will just be Casey: Yeah. Blake: like, Whatever Bethany, like I really don't care. I'm walking over Casey: Yes. Blake: here. I'm gonna have a glass of wine, like you're annoying. So anyway, the Beth is back. And so we're on season seven. So like they're not they're like not bad at this point. Like they had one moment where it was sort of like Casey: Yeah. We don't know what happened between those seasons between them, like how much they talked and whatever. So like it's too stale to like assume that they're gonna be in the same like bad place or good place or bad place. Like we don't know. We're we're blank slate. We're tabula rasa for the Beth is back. Like we don't know what's gonna go on with them. Blake: Where what? Casey: Tabula rasa, it actually means blank slate. It's a it's a thing. It's like a theory. I learned about it in a class once. Blake: Wow, that's Casey: Hopefully people think I'm really smart now. Blake: you love your little like word moments on this podcast. Whether you're learning a new word or like how to use a word or dropping one. But you know, should we reclassify the podcast instead of like society and culture? Should we reclassify Casey: Mm. Blake: it as like education? Casey: language linguistics and and political political correctness because I I do I Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: do try and examine some things as well that these housewives are making. But regardless, we're politically Blake: Sociology Casey: correct right now in season seven with the girls and the Beth the Beth is back and they're they're fine. We're assuming as viewers that they're fine. They're presenting that they're fine. But Two episodes in, we start to see friction. And they're on a little is Sag Harbor the Hamptons? I guess you're a New Yorker. Do you know this? So they're in the Hamptons. Blake: Yes. Yeah. Casey: They're on a trip. Luann has a new house. She has them all over. different people are staying, different places, as they kind of usually do, because a couple of women have houses. But they're all together, I think, like at Luann's, you know, chilling, and they're talking about the trip. Basically we get our first moment between the two of them since coming back. Two episodes in, again, we're already off to the races. But Bethany and Sonia are talking and it comes up of like, what are we doing tomorrow? And they're being very like, who knows? Like, I definitely want to come over though, Sonia says to Bethany. And she's like, I want to see the the place or whatever the hell it is that they need to do. Okay, there you go. Blake: 'Cause Bethany also just bought a Bethany also just bought a new house too. So I think that Sonia Sonia I think also this was her first scene with the group. So she hadn't seen she hadn't met this was episode two, so she hadn't met everyone. So I think some Casey: Okay. Blake: people were like, what's new? She's like, I bought a house around here. They like, we like Sonya like, I wanna go see it, tomorrow morning. Casey: And so they never filmed together, Sonya and Bethany, until s season seven. wait, no, that's dumb. Scary island. Seas they filmed together season three and then she left. So they had one season together. Blake: They no, they they they yeah. But like I just meant like yeah, episode one of season seven. I don't think she had filmed with an like the entire group yet. Yeah. Casey: Yes, yeah. No, I was just thinking about it 'cause I like, I didn't even like remember the the group dynamic. But no, they had filmed one season together, her and Sonia. But yeah, they're fine. And yeah, they're talking about meeting up at Bethany's like the next day or another morning. And Ramona overhears them and intrudes into the conversation, is like, I believe talking to Sonia because Sonia was staying with Bethany, but it's a shot at Bethany via Sonia. She's like, No, you're not going anywhere, Sonia. You're my guest. So you'll be doing whatever it is that I had planned, or you will need to ask permission from me to go wherever. Like you're my guest. She's very stuck Blake: Yeah. Casey: on this, like, guest. best definition of like I am hosting you so you cannot go to Bethany's. Whatever excuse she wants to make up when really she's just annoyed that it's out of her control and it's Bethany. Blake: Right. I think she I think she's also, you know, very much like wants yeah, like you said, wants the control over a situation. And I do think that in her head she has always had a sort of jealousy when it comes to Bethany or a sort of competition vibe, I think, because like, you know, it's you don't really get women who I think are like genuinely wealthy and like have successful like large scale businesses. To be fair, we don't really quite exactly know which one of Ramona's businesses like is what gets her her money, but she clearly has money. So I think that she's Casey: And she says it's not Mario's money. Like she had always said, even when they were like married and happy, like, I have my own money, I've made my own money, like I'm not living off of his money. I'm sure like they did collab when they were married, their funds. But in theory, Blake: Yeah. Casey: Ramona has worked and made her own money and has made a good amount of it. But obviously, we as viewers don't necessarily think Ramona and Bethany are in like the exact same lane because we haven't seen Ramona rise to, as you just said, success in that way that Bethany did during the time that this was airing. So we had the proof right there. But in Ramona's mind, she thinks her and Bethany are same level. They are the same type of businesswoman. They are the same type of entrepreneur. Like she considers them competitors. Like that's exactly why she has that sense of jealousy because she thinks they're in the same league. So when you're evaluating yourself against a peer, you get a little, you know, health hopefully health healthily jealous. Like you're like, I wanna do better than them. Like I wanna match every stride she makes. But here it's a little diluted. So it doesn't it's not healthy. Blake: And also, like, I would say that what this really the problem really here is that Ramona thinks that she has sent an email to everybody inviting them to brunch the next morning. Nobody got the email. And so she's saying, like, well, you know, I my email's been doing this one thing where like it sends all my emails to the trash and everyone's like, That's really not how it works. Like, I don't think you sent the email. So like If she had planned a brunch and Sonia was like, I'll go to Bethany's, like I would be, as the host, like, didn't you commit to coming to my brunch tomorrow? I don't think that's crazy. It's the fact that everyone was like, Why are you yelling at Sonia and making a whole thing about this when there's no brunch? At least not to our knowledge. And then she's also kind of Casey: Right. But do you think that she really sent the email or do you think she was just capping because she wanted to like make it look like she wasn't being as ridiculous as she was, you know? Like do you think she was just saying an excuse or do you think she legitimately sent an email and it didn't send? Blake: no, I don't believe that she sent an email. What I do think it was no Casey: Okay. Blake: no no. But that's what she says, which she always has an excuse for something. What I do think Casey: Yeah, of course. Blake: it was is that she wanted to assert dominance in the friend group that, you know, since Bethany was new, she's just coming back. She wanted to be like, I'm the like c the pillar in this group. Casey: Yes, yes, definitely. Blake: Like I'm the one planning the brunch, like you have to do things on my terms. And that's what it was. Like, no, Sonia's coming with me. Like Casey: For sure. Blake: she ha we have a brunch tomorrow. And Casey: Right, marking her territory of like, you left and I've been here. So don't don't try and pull back Blake: Right. Casey: up and start making the plans, like yeah, especially 'cause we know, even though it's like sometimes like they don't always like talk about it 'cause it's like too much breaking the fourth wall, we know housewives get like testy about them being like the center the center apple or the first seat at the reunion or the first seat at Watch What Happens Live. So we know there's beef about like who is the more central housewife. So it makes sense that Ramona already has her walls up of like, no, this is kinda my thing right now. Like don't don't pull back up and and think that it's gonna be your thing again. Because it kinda was Bethany was so liked in the beginning. Like people were really excited for her to come back. So she definitely was on her on her guard. Blake: Yeah, and it's funny 'cause like Bethany with Ramona, like what you know, I didn't realize it happened like this until you really like analyze it across the like seasons and the years. But Bethany like even at this point when they really weren't like they didn't have longstanding beef. Bethany s just really doesn't have it in her to like listen to Ramona and like engage. So immediately Bethany kind of just is like, all right, well, this is a lot. Like I don't wanna know what the fuck's going on. Like w she's on some bullshit. I'm gonna go. Like Bethany like loves to exit stage left when Ramona is trying it with her. And it's like it can literally just be Ramona like It like Ramona will have face where she looks like she wants to like say something, and Bethany's like, I'm gonna go. Like, I'm okay, I think I'm Casey: Yeah. Blake: I've had enough tonight. And so Bethany leaves and Ramona like chases her out of the house and is like, you know, Bethany, like I'm sorry, like I just didn't realize about the brunch, blah blah blah blah blah. And and Bethany is just like she's like, Okay, Ramona, like Ramona, stop. Ramona, and then they get into this like weird, like I'll let's play the clip. She just didn't want to hang out with her. Like, I think that Bethany clocked immediately, like, you're just a little bit manic. Like, because Casey: Right. Blake: she was coming out of the house trying to walk it back. And Bethany could see like I you are you're just all over the place. And like I really don't Casey: Right. Blake: care for it. Casey: Right, and this dynamic repeats itself. We'll we'll we'll literally go right through it. But The Ramona quick apology. We just saw it on the Brooklyn Bridge. Like she, like, right after saying something horrible or being very aggressive or being very ridiculous will be like, wait, actually, like, no, like let's just make up. Like, I didn't I didn't mean to do anything. Like Bethany, like, wave, and Bethany's like, no, girl, like you just did something that pissed me off. Like, now I'm going to go deal with that and we can maybe talk later. But Ramona, like, tries to quickly bandage it up so it doesn't become a bigger thing, but Bethany Blake: Yeah. Casey: will not let her. So that's why she leaves too. So she doesn't have to sit there and pretend like she's cool with Ramona's fake apologies. Cause like you know she isn't actually like understanding the depth of anything she's saying. It's it's the same thing they tell children of you have to say why you're saying sorry and it needs to be sincere and it needs to be Blake: Yeah. Casey: felt and you actually need to understand what it is you're saying, like which Ramona never does, so Blake: And it's funny because like she also just it's not it it's like all of those things and then she also manages to like then be ruder somehow while she's trying to like apologize because if somebody pushes back and says like like let me just explain where I'm coming from. Like in this situation, she like is looking at Bethany, she's like, Calm down, Bethany, it's gonna be okay. Just just calm down. I think you're really Casey: God. Blake: overreacting. And Bethany is just like am I in a mental asyl? Like, Jesus fucking Christ, goodbye. Casey: She's like a bad Boyfriend, like the way that she like get tries to gaslight Bethany into like, like, you're Blake: Yes. Casey: so ridiculous right now, and you're being so insane that I need to talk to you in this like patronizing, like calm down, like voice that you know, she's literally trying to flip the script of when it was her that just yelled out of nowhere, when it was her that accosted Bethany, and sort of Sonia, but Sonia doesn't care. Like, and now you're following Bethany out of the house, giving a fake apology and making it her problem that she She won't accept it, even though it's your problem. Blake: Even though it's your problem, like they should this is the thing about Ramona. She they should call her the Ramona Swiffer because she loves to op to take that rug, pull it up, and s like Swiffer everything under the rug, and that's like with the apology thing. Where it's like literally no time has passed since you just verbally accosted me and like acted like a fool, and then you're suddenly trying to like do this like wordplay mad libs where you p y try your hardest to put together a brain cell to form an apology sentence. That's not really an apology, it's an excuse. And it's like people Casey: Literally. Blake: like aren't going to just forget that you just did that just 'cause you swept it under the rug. Casey: Well right, because it's like, did you mean it? Because if you meant it, then how could you have genuine remorse in such a quick turnaround time? Or did you not know what you were saying? And how do you not know what you're saying? Like you obviously know what you're doing. So like I say this all the time. Like, I almost Blake: Right. Casey: respect people more when they like stand on when they do something crazy. Cause it's like you just did that. Like, why do it and then flip and be like, no, like, what do you mean? Like, you just did all of that. You might as well Blake: Right. Casey: be like, Yeah. And I meant it. Like, and I think you're annoying. Like, you might like to totally try and change it. It's a bad villain move on in a TV show. Like, it makes you look weaker. People actually like you more when you like stand. on your shit even if it is horrible but whatever Ramona and it doesn't work so it's actually like Blake: No, it's true. Casey: a horrible strategy for the viewers for herself for her friendship with Bethany it's not working and it continues to not work as they go along Blake: And I I will Yeah. I will reserve why I think this is the case for later, cause it will come up. But let's move on to still season seven, the women go to Turks and Caicos. If you guys remember this is the the trip where Luan is like, Be cool, don't be all uncool with like the guys like in her bed the next morning like naked or whatever. Casey: Wait, no it's not. Because Heather He Holla Heather isn't in season seven and Holla Heather's there for be cool. No, she's not. Is she really? I thought she was five and six. Blake: Yes she is. Yes she is. Yes she is. She's five, six, and seven. And then Bethany and her really That's I You know what? I'll give Casey: Wow, I'm just the fucking fool I guess. Like I'll just shut the fuck up. Like God. Blake: it to you though, because she's not in any of these we're focusing on Ramona and Heather. I mean and Bethany, my god. Yeah, no, we were Casey: I'm like, I didn't see her anywhere. But right, I guess I guess I wasn't really looking for her, was I? Wait. I just I'll just shut the fuck up. It's like not even important. I'll figure it out on my own time what I think is going on. Like whatever. Blake: Like we were just like creating this like this veneer of being these like housewife historians and now you're like wait Heather wasn't in that season. I'm like, she very much was. Casey: Wait, did Bethany film with Sonia? I'm like, alright, we just did an episode on that. But honestly, in my defense, we're watching and talking about a lot of things. So it's really hard to Blake: That's true. Casey: like recall like what goes where because we're all over the place and so many themes are ever present. And my I'll defend myself. Case close. Back to it. Hollaheader must be there, allegedly. Blake: And you know what? Not guilty. Not guilty. So so they the women are going to Turks and Caicos, and this they immediately get to the villa or whatever they're staying at, and obviously Ramona and Sonia do what they always do, which is Dart immediately for the best room. They do this like triathlon thing where they are going upstairs. this one has a tub, downstairs, this one has a view of the water. And then everyone is like, they it's sort of like they like pass them in a cartoonish fashion fashion. And they're going so fast that everyone else is like spinning around, turning into like a tornado because they're like darting around. Casey: Well, and they're going into rooms that have already been cleaned. Like they're doing this, like they're acting like every room is empty. like Dorinda and Carol unpacking and they're walking in, like, this one this one could work for us. And then Dorinda's like, No, it could not. Like I'm I'm staying here. And they're like, well we'll Blake: She's like I Casey: see. We haven't decided yet where we're gonna go. So Blake: Like, we'll f we'll see about that one. We'll figure it out though, because it's really it really is perfect for us. She's like, no, no, like I I just told you it's not. and and so Bethany is just like Ramona's like walking around because obviously whenever they do this, everyone is always kind of like grumbling. It's just a matter of like, are they going to like do something about it or just let them eventually take their whatever room? And so Ramona like screams like everyone knows, you know, this about us. And Bethany responds, Everyone knows what? Because she's new to this. And she's like, Everyone knows what, Ramona? That you're the Lord of the manor? And Ramona says, No, that Sony and I share a room, which is always her like justification for her behavior. Is like, well, we obviously need the best room because we share a room, as if neither Casey: Right. Right. Like we're taking the bullet and sharing and letting all of you guys get your own room. So we must get the best room. Like, no, you like to share a room. So that doesn't mean that you get a special perk. No one's forcing you to do that. Like Blake: You choose to Right. As if also like no other pair of women have shared a room on any of these cast trips. Like there have been plenty of times when there have been several groups of pairs in a room that have gotten worse rooms. Casey: Top of it, like they're not just being picky, they're also rude. They're rude to the staff, they're rude to like the people welcoming them, they're rude to the host of the trip, which of course this time is Bethany, even though we know like housewives trips are hosted. Like, of course, it doesn't like fully matter, but to these women it sort of does, even though it's kind of a sham. And Bethany is the technical host of this trip. So she actually has the right to be like, No, I'm actually mad about this because it's my trip. So I get to assign the rooms. But it's it's ridiculous and it's annoying. Anyone in their right mind would be annoying. So it just sets them off on a bitter bitter taste in the mouth kind of way. Like th Bethany's not mad. Like they end up getting a room and they're not super happy with it, but everyone kind of is like, that was really annoying, but let's let's have a good time. and Ramona's so oblivious. Like Bethany and Louyn lay by the pool and talk shit about her for like an hour. Ramona has no idea. She's like in her room putting on her tiniest bikini and like She comes out, she brings these heels. She actually has multiple pairs of heels. She's in like very high wedges at one point and then in like drag queen heels. But this clip is funny. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Bethany's reaction. So let's let's roll the tape. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: The heels. I said drag queen heels because I've literally never seen this anywhere else. But like they're like clear in like the base. And I think about like Lana Juray had didn't she have a fish in the the base of it at one point? Like Blake: yeah. Casey: like a literal like goldfish or something? Because it's you can see right through it. And why is she wearing these at night by the pool? Like with a group of only four women? Like what is what is the goal of this? Like Blake: Literally, like I think Carol says like it's literally just us. Like we are in our own home. There are no no one else is around. There's not nary a human in sight other than this cast. Like who are we dressing for? And Ramona fully is wearing like stripper platform eight-inch like fucking and and then and she's doing that while she's like using a kettlebell, like she's like like doing some sort of like squat exercise. And then she's like swimming in the pool on her noodle and it's like Are you flirting with like the cameraman or something? Like is it like a producer thing, Ramona? Like I'm like, it is so But I think Bethany at this point is absorbing everything about Ramona that she's missed while she's been gone and like starting to clock like okay, you're kind of like awful. And obnoxious. And there's like some c comedy in it, there's some humor in it, but like you're kind of like obnoxious. Like when she's like, you know, do you want my opinion? Like if you're asking me my opinion, I'll give you my opinion. She's only say something nice, and Bethany's like, That's not how that works. Like, what do you what's wrong with you? Like, huh? Casey: And like that. The question or the statement of that's not how that works in in the real world, in adult life, in, you know, everyone else's life but Ramona's is such a common theme for Bethany. One thing that happens too on this trip, like they kind of are fine on this trip. They have little annoyances and then they make up. They get drunk and they hug and they make up in the pool or whatever. You know, they're on a trip. It's it's the vacation high. But one thing happens where Bethany is I assume she had pre-announced this as well, 'cause it was obviously planned. She's making lunch for for everybody in the house. And she she literally is in the kitchen, you know, doing her chef life, cook life, if it's Kelly Benson saying it, but she has all this shit out on the counter, like tons of meat she's about to cook, bunch of seasonings, like produce, full kitchen island of things. Blake: Spread, spread. Casey: And as she's cooking, you know, slaving away, Ramona is like, I heard about this great place. Like, we should go right now. Come with me. Sonia, let's go out. Like, let's go to this place. We need to go out to lunch right now. And Bethany is kind of hearing her like, are you literally serious? I'm sitting in here cooking. Like it's my vacation too. If we were gonna go out, you could have given me a heads up so I didn't have to cook. and you know, I'm quite clearly pretty deep into it. And you know, Ramona clueless is always like, Can we go? and Bethany's like, you do whatever you want, Ramona. And she's great. Bethany's cool with it. Like, fantastic. My God. Blake: Like yeah, talk about oblivious. Talk about like r it doesn't really fucking matter whatever Bethany said, she would have like, great, we can go to lunch. Like Casey: Done. And even Sonia, who's not very clocked into reality very often, is like, Ramona, I don't think she like really meant that. Like maybe go ask one more time and like I don't think she wants us to go. Like she's cooking us lunch. Blake: She like, people just say that sometimes. Like you need to like check in and be like, You're cooking, would you mind? Like Ramona's literally like, We can eat whatever the fuck you're making later. Let's just go right now. And Sony's like Casey: She's like we can save it, Bethany can have it. Like what's the big what? Blake: And Bethany like is not like she honestly like doesn't even want to have the conversation. Like she would honestly rather Ramona just do her own thing than like come over to her and like have a conversation where she pretends to be like a normal person who has like sympathy and understands how situations work, like Casey: I get this though too, because it's like once the slight is said, like, yeah, now you might as well go because you already put it out there. Blake: Yeah. Casey: You already disrespected me. Like, even if you choose to stay, the insult hangs over the the lunch. So like I would I'd be like, Yes, just go now. Like now you've already done it. I do the same thing and people always go, No, like, well now I'm gonna now I'll stay. And it's like, No, like actually now that's gonna be worse. Like let me have some peace. I think Bethany Blake: Yeah. Casey: just feels like actually go because I did cook this and I want to enjoy my own efforts if nobody else is going. To like whoever wants to stay, stay, and I'm gonna have myself a nice time. And they like argue a little bit because Romana doesn't get it. She says, You just told me I could go, so she doesn't understand why she then is kind of having an attitude about it. And Bethany, it reminds me a little bit of that really bad Jen Shaw read where she's like, You you flip flop so much, you should be wearing flip flops. Bethany, Blake: Ha ha. Casey: Bethany goes, Your logo instead of true faith should be true me because you're so into. It's like Blake: No, and she like she like calls her manic and is like just like get away from me because like literally like like cause Sonya like cause Ramona went outside of the kitch like outside like out once once she told like Bethany like I want to go to lunch, she leaves, she goes outside, she tries to tell all the other women let's go to lunch and then Sonia's like no you should like go back inside and tell her no like we wanna go to lunch. So they turn around and Bethany like sees that they're about to come over and like Talk to her again. She like runs away from him. She's like, I really, really don't care. And that's when Ramona pins her down and she just like turns around and starts like, true, me, your manic, whatever. She's just fucking do whatever you want to do. Casey: Yeah. Blake: And and but like, Ramona is really good at like almost like battering you over the head with her presence. to the point where you're like, whatever like fine, okay, it's fine, like Casey: She's literally like a child where like They say like if they're throwing a tantrum, like you're not supposed to give in because then they know they can get away with it. But obviously your instinct is to give in because you just want it to be over. Like you literally just want it to stop. And like that's exactly what Ramona gets away with. Like people just want it to be over, so they end up like not being mad at her or giving in to what she wants because it's so goddamn annoying. Like she's so persistent and like so specific that it ends up just being like, Okay, I can't be mad at you because like you're right here, like let me just say it's fine so you can give me a sec. And I think that's totally Blake: Right. Casey: what happens here. Like Bethany is just like whatever gets you to shut the hell up is cool with me. Blake: Yeah. And so we that's where we are at Turks and Caicos, but it doesn't end there, because season seven, Sonia is having some one of her various fashion shows for one of her various clothing lines. It's really that's not the point. But so they're both sitting next to each other, like in the front row, before the show starts. And Bethany turns to Ramona and is just like, Hey, like I heard that you were going around like telling people that I like cheated in my marriage and like that's why we're breaking up and Ramona is Ramona's like, well no no no, I didn't say that. Like I said like there was infidelity and like and she goes, Well that's not true. Like that's but that's not true and you're going around spreading rumors about like w that's not True, you are lying about me. And Ramona does this thing where she always does this where it's like she doesn't want to engage in the substance of like what she did was wrong. She just doesn't want to have the conversation that's like about her being wrong. So she goes, fine, okay, like crucify me, like slip my wrists, like and cut me. Like she's just like, fine, like, okay, I'm wrong. And it's like, again, you know, a child could probably tell you, like, that's not You know, you have to like maybe say why you are wronged, what you are sorry for. It's not just a matter of like someone wants to put you up on a cross and walk on with their life. Like they are trying to get you to recognize that it's fucked up, that you would randomly make up that she cheated on her husband. Like Casey: It's so ridiculous. And never once has any of it like really like hit her. Like sh breath Bethany's trying. Like she kind of goes down a little list, even though this is not the right time, front row of of the Sonia show. But literally, Bethany's like, okay, she does the cheating. And then she's like, and I don't like the way you speak to staff, to people around you. Like you're very rude. You're very, you know, returks and Cakos. Like you're so entitled. Like you take things from people and you don't care about how it affects them. And you stole from me there's this allegation Blake: Ha ha. Casey: slash truth that Ramona stole two dresses from her. and Bethany even says she's like you literally told me one of them fell out of the back of your car and then two weeks later you posted a photo in it on Instagram like out and about Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: And Ramona's like, no, you know, of course she denies all all of these things. She's never gonna say, like, yeah, I I did that. she says she didn't steal from her. But it's just funny. It's like not the cheating, being rude, generally horrible to human beings and and service workers and theft. Like, wow, her and Jax really Blake: E like thievery. Casey: could have been so strong. Like they really had such similar Blake: Imagine if Jack's Casey: similar traits. Blake: If Jax was born in like the nineteen fifties, they probably would have been like it would have been Ramona and Jax, not Ramona and Mario. Casey: Like I'm sorry, but they like they they wouldn't work because they're the same, but like they are the same, really. Like of course they Blake: Right. Casey: I mean people th sa say they hooked up and I I believe it and of course they did. Like I bet they had such a fun night of lying Blake: People say they hooked up? Casey: to each other. Yeah, you didn't know this? Blake: That sounds vaguely familiar, but like in what context? Casey: Like a watch what happens thing or like a Bravo thing. There's all these photos of them. I'll find them. Because honestly, just now I was just mentally taking a note in my head of posting a pic of them and putting like I want what they have, Loki. Blake: Wait, you should absolutely, absolutely do that. Absolutely do that. Casey: Sidetracked, but yeah, they they get into it here and they talk about Ramona is planning a party and she's calling it the new beginnings party. So at this fashion show, Bethany is like, I don't really understand this party. Why am I going? where are the beginnings? Where are the new beginnings? And if these are them, I definitely don't want to go because they're awful. Blake: She was like, you should call this party old habits because I'm not quite sure what's new, what's beginning. Like you are consistently a horrible human being, and because you got divorced, do you think that like it's different? Casey: Yes. Blake: Like I I she's so Bethany is just like, I'm not attending the the my thieves party. Like the the person who robbed me is not going to receive my presence. Casey: Thief's party. Blake: Ha. Casey: When your thief, your personal thief, invites you Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: to their new beginnings party. You going? What's your move? WYD listener. Are you attending? I don't know. I'm probably not attending. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: But Bethany does, anyways. Like, she says she's not gonna Blake: But she does. Casey: go, but she goes, probably because it's a show and they need they need her to film. It's the finale Blake: Right. Right. Casey: of season seven. So, like, of course she's going. but even when she goes, she's like not. super happy about it and still thinks the whole thing is bullshit, especially the name. and when when they're there, Ramona again apologizes to Bethany and says she was wrong. Blake: Ramona beelines straight for Bethany to like talk to her about how they left things awkward after the fashion show and Bethany is like, I really was I needed like a second and she comes straight after me and then they get into their whole their whole thing that they always get into. Casey: It's literally like a classic moment. and as we've kind of been saying, the the dynamic is very adult and child. The child being Ramona and Bethany often seeming more adult like. And Bethany herself acknowledges this and Ramona has an interesting response. Blake: The way that she the way that she goes for the high five. Thank you, sister. Amen. You clocked it. Casey: And not only goes for it, but when it when it kind of hangs there, nods and kind of looks at her hand again, like, no no no, I I want the high five. Like let's let's do it. Come on. Come on, hit me, hit me girly. Like I want that high five. my god. Blake: She's like, mm-hmm. Waitin' any second. Whenever you want to do it. And Bethany, like, is staring at her palm and she's like, What huh? Like that's not positive. I just called you a child. You're like a 60-year-old woman. I said you act like a four-year-old. She's like, thank you. Got you got it. Casey: Like Bethany was fully ready to to get a e a mad response to that. Like she tried to be like, and I don't even really mean it offensively, 'cause like I know it's gonna sound offensive, but no, not to Ramona. Sh all she heard was, wait, Blake: Not Casey: so you think I'm young? She was like, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Bethany, that's so nice. Thank you. I'm so ageless. Blake: She just wanted she just literally wanted like someone to say that and mean like so therefore like anything you do is acceptable because I view Casey: Yes. Blake: you as like a six year old. And that's not what Bethany was saying. Like she was saying you act like a six year old and so like it's hard to be mad at you but like Casey: And this is an issue. Blake: but it's an issue. You still need to like take accountability for your actions and not continue to do them. Ramona heard thank you yes I am a six year old and therefore I will continue to be the same way and it's fine because I am a six year old. And that's not where we But they so like this kind of goes nowhere. Like, they hug it out. Ramona agrees that, like, she can't keep apologizing without like changing her behavior. But like, Ramona just wanted to be done with the conversation. The po the apologizer. She's the apologizer. She just fucking wanted Casey: Yes. Blake: to end the conversation. She's at her own party. She was like, Can we be done with this? And so they were. And so that was that's like how they end season seven is like in this place where like Bethany sees her. Ramona sees her but like we're fine. Casey: We're fine. Blake: Question. Casey: We're fine. We're fine. They don't get into it much during season eight. So they do keep it together mostly. Nothing that I thought was interesting enough for this podcast. So nothing basically happened. If something did happen, we're not. We're gonna move on. Because it wasn't funny enough for me if there was one. But Blake: Not important. Casey: season nine is probably peak feud, I would say, for for Blake: Absolutely. Casey: our girls. And it starts off. Seemingly okay as Ramona pretty quickly episode two of season nine. She's going over to Bethany's. So we're assuming things are looking pretty good and they like kind of have a little beef here, but honestly, it's just this is just a funny, a funny moment of Ramona entering Bethany's house. Just kick Dogs are resilient like babies. Blake: Zoo. Casey: You can step on them. my god, just step on them. Like Blake: So sorry, but like entering someone's home, especially in New York City, and they're like, Can you please take your shoes off? And you're like, Why do I have to take my like I'm Casey: No Blake: keeping my shoes on? Excuse me? Take your disgusting piss-soaked, Casey: Even if she didn't have dogs. Blake: spit-soaked, like urine, rainwater, like take all of that shit off. You're walking, you're gonna walk Casey: Like what? Blake: in my like I don't care, like. It's not about stepping on my dogs. It's about you being d a disgusting person. Like, that is so cr she has such gall. It is so And I also love Carol sitting there while they're arguing, being like, Hi. And Ramona, like, doesn't even. She's like, Whatever. And Bethany at this point, I guess like they kind of have somewhat of a friendship. Because Ramona. Bethany's like, why didn't you say anything about the two new dogs that I got? And like Ramona's just like, well, I guess I'm being a pass I'm guess I'm being a passive aggressive, but like you didn't you didn't send me pictures when you got them. And Bethany's like, I have to send you pictures when I do everything. And she's like, Well, we're friends, like you didn't that's kind of a big thing, like you didn't send it to me. So like it's clear that they have this like weird relationship where like like Ramona says like Bethany only wants you in her life when she needs you. Like she was apparently sick and like Ramona was there for her, but like when she got better, like she was like She's not sending her pictures of her dog. So Bethany is or Ramona, it feels like kind of on the outs with Bethany. And so I think like again, it's this weird, ever changing, amorphous blob of a friendship question mark. So that's how we start season nine. Casey: Yes, and it really sets the tone when we get to the next episode actually, the third episode, season nine, episode three, if you want to go pinpoint it. this kind of sets the exact vibe Ramona is gonna carry to Bethany throughout this whole thing and they're at they're at a group dinner. I wrote it down when I was watching it. I was like the group dinner in this bush restaurant, like the walls are all the Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: walls are all leaves. Like I don't know where they are, but Blake: Yeah. Casey: Ramona looks like she's inside a bush when she's talking to Bethany. But they're at dinner. everything is fine at first. It's most of the group. It's like kind of like Luann, Dorinda, Carol, Beth, Ramona type vibe. Maybe a Sonia figure. It doesn't really matter. But everything's fine, everyone's kind of just chatting, catching up. Durinda's like, Bethany, how's Bryn? you know, Ramona's kind of like great, yeah, is she in private school or public school? And Bethany's like public school, like so great. And right after that the vibe changes. Mm-hmm. Blake: What are we talking about, porn? What are we talking about? Casey: What are we talking about, porn? She got so close to her face when she said that too. Blake: Yeah. Casey: I mean, just absurd. It's obviously like Bethany calls it out for as ridiculous as it is that she her daughter is six years old from on a going, kids talk. Kids talk like Blake: I know. Bethany's like, yeah, it's like pretty, you know, normal for like a sixth grader to talk to a ten year old and and she's like, Well, you know you never know. You never know. And then like Casey: Kids these days they love talking about soft core porn movies from twenty, thirty years ago. my god, it's so classic. Blake: Kids these days never shut up about Bethany Frankel. Let me tell you that. Let me tell you that much. But like, so then Ramona and Luann, like Ramona does this thing where she she loves to like turn to the person next to her at like a dinner table. in close proximity and start talking about like Bethany. And so she's talking to Luann about like Bethany's like misinterpreting me or whatever. And then Ramona like and then Luann is kind of like low key in on it as well. I 'cause I think they both are just kind of like, ugh, we don't really love Bethany. and r Bethany like looks at them and is just like, I can literally hear everything you guys are saying right now. Like do you think like what the fuck's going on here? And and literally basically just like they call her mul like what do they call her wicked? They call her a witch a bitchy witch Casey: Call her witch. Vermona calls her a witch a lot throughout their feud. I don't know if she like secretly thinks Bethany has some magical undertones to her her nature. Because like she she really feels that way. But yeah, they kind of like join up a little bit against Bethany. Luann is being a little bit more like Off-handed, like she's not as invested in it clearly. She's kind of like, yeah, she is being a bit wicked, like, and it's Ramona that then calls her a witch. and it's funny too, because Ramona is like, wait, so I'm not allowed to talk about things that are in the press, and I can't talk about Hillary, like, because we're in 2016 Blake: Ha ha. Casey: during this scene. Like, I can't talk about Hillary or the press, and it's like Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: No, you can't. Like, because Blake: So Casey: you don't know anything. But yeah, they're they're mad, and Bethany Blake: Right. Casey: is like, I'm not gonna sit here and listen to you guys talk about me from one seat over and call me wicked and a witch. Like, I'm leaving. And Blake: She's like, I'm gonna go. Casey: Carol's like, wait, you're my ride. Like, I'm guess I'm leaving too. Like, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: And it's nuts. I mean, Ramona looks nuts during this. Her eyes are huge. Bethany even says, like, you look insane at one point. Like, what is what is going on with your face? Like, it's just it's very strange. The whole thing was strange. And, you know, like I said in my tracker of how far did they get in this lunch? Did they get to a drink or food? Like, definitely not. This seemed like it happened pretty damn fast too. Like they were settling in, debriefing, and Bethany was ran out of the restaurant. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: And they simmer on this this exit of Bethany for a minute because Bethany like does not want to talk to Ramona. She's so over this stuff and Ramona doesn't understand it as always, but they kind of re-re come together when the women go out one night. It's just like literally like a little cute, cute GNO. They like meet at like a dive bar and they drink and they all hang out for a couple hours. But Ramona shows up. And again, she just looks like she's on on one. Like she looks crazy. She's wearing a choker. Like she looks she looks weird. Blake: She just looked pretty wild. She's also like an insulting Luann the entire night about her wedding, saying people are taking bets Casey: About yes, about Tom. Blake: on like if the wedding's still going on. Meanwhile, she's like begging for an invitation, like trying to guilt trip Luann, and and Luann's like, that's exactly why you're not getting an invitation, because you just said people are taking bets on it or whatever. But at this point, like they're not good from that lunch. So Ramona is like, I think I'm gonna like try and pull up to Bethany on this in this booth and make it right. Casey: Pull up is the right phrase too, cause she really does just like pull up on her at random moments and like assault her. Blake: She corners her, she boxes her in. Like she like Bethany's on the edge. She boxes her into the booth and then starts kind of like she The way that she The way that she like Casey: No, it's so weird. She sidles right on up to her with like her hair and like a side bang, and it's like, hey Bethany, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: when you have friends, when you are being a friend to people, do you like like to be there for your friends when they're having something difficult? Do you? Do you like to be there for them? And Bethany, Bethany. Blake: Bethany's like, I don't like the way you're talking to me right now. Like she's like, I'm really uncomfortable. Casey: It's so weird. It's like it's like somebody coming up to you and being like, Do you as a human person like a hug from people that you love? Like, do you? Like Blake: Right. Casey: why are you like obviously Bethany answer would be yes. Like you're trying to set her up to then her to be like, Yes, I do, and then you'd be like, Well, you suck at it. Like, or whatever. I don't know what she's going for, but Blake: Right. And also the way she looks crazy as hell too. She's looking at her like she's like, do you do you like to be there for like she looks like very it's like very like creepy smile like Casey: The blinking is very like strategic. It's like, do you and Bethany refuses to answer this as if it's a real question because duh Blake: And and Bethany tells her like you're being like I don't like the way you're talking to me. Like please stop. Like I'm not trying to do this right now. And then Ramona, like, naturally, like in her very eloquent, a very socially aware mind responds this way. Casey: Once again, like Ramona after this performance to then call Bethany really strange is so is so audacious. Like, are you serious right now? Blake: I love I love to to be like, you know, I'm gonna go make it right with that person that we haven't Casey: Yeah. Blake: really had the best relationship and then then immediately be like, you know, you're like really weird. Like you're like really strange. Casey: After they say one thing back to me after my very weird question, I'm immediately gonna be like, you're extremely weird. Blake: Right. She's so good, like it's so good. She's Casey: Like Blake: she's like impossible. Like she's an insane person. Casey: It's so funny. And everybody at this event is like Ramona's being so scary. She's so weird. And Bethany pulls her classic and is like, I'm gonna go because this is insane. And so Bethany leaves, Blake: Ha ha Casey: and that's where they have left everything. So this is the first time that Bethany hasn't given her like a real resolution, like immediately. Like they've actually let this hang since this is from the the soft porn lunch. Like it's still hanging now for a few episodes. Who knows how long in like real time, but for a minute. and it hangs over them. Go ahead. Blake: I will say that I think that this is probably when Bethany is like, I think we're probably not going to ever be friends. Like I think at this point she's gotten enough evidence and like enough interactions, enough like weird shit where I think she's like, I'm probably good on like really ever getting there with her. Like it's probably not gonna happen. Casey: Yeah. No, agreed. And they go to the Berkshires, our favorite place, for Dorinda's birthday. Blake: Which w which is a notorious place for everyone like resolving their problems and leaving on a good note and just healing generally. Casey: Unfortunately no longer now that Now that Beth and Ramona have arrived in their current state though. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: and, you know, right when they get there, it's it's a similar theme to where we just were at at the girls' night out. Everyone thinks Ramona is being weird. Like Carol and Dorinda and several other people have confessionals where they're like, something is definitely different about Ramona. Like she's she's a little bit on on ten. Like she's she's powered up for sure all the time lately. Like maybe she's d over drinking, like maybe she's just really drunk or maybe like something you know, something's just off up there, but everybody notices this. So it's not it's not just a Bethany thing. They're they're seeing it. and one example that's not directly feud related besides Bethany giving us some classic confessional snark, but this is just like a classic Ramona moment and shows how her mind is maybe deteriorating right now. Blake: Yeah. Casey: Avery loves chocolate! Avery loves chocolate. Avery loves chocolate. Blake: She loves chocolate. Like the way that she's like she's like Chocolate. Casey: I get Abrean chocolate bunny every Easter Blake: No, in the way Bethany is literally like, girl, like I have a six year old who probably would like actually like give a fuck about that. Like imagine if you received a chocolate bunny, a chocolate Santa, whatever from your parents. Like, I'd be like, thanks. I don't think I'd be like rolling around on the floor like Casey: I'd like put it in my room and probably open it up when I got desperate one night when I was high and it would probably be shitty and I'd throw it away after that. But like Blake: Yeah. I'd probably bite the head off and be like, that was good and then like I don't know, it'd probably it would like ni Casey: I give it a shot in case it's actually good, but usually they're shit. Especially when they're hollow inside, like miss me with that. Blake: I mean I like I actually randomly am a a I'm a I'm a pretty big fan of like cheap chocolate like randomly but but like I would have been like Casey: You would have been like this if if you had won. Blake loves chocolate. When I when I win it for you, when I get you a chocolate Blake: Blake loves chocolate. Casey: Santa and I'm so fucking thrilled about it. Cause you love chocolate. Like just wait. Blake: It's just like it's like that's a perfect example. Like she's like on one that night. Everyone's like, she's acting strange. I honestly it's like clearly very much because she's like uncomfortable being around Bethany. and then of course like she it she moves on from being excited about the chocolate to again like pulling up on Bethany. Casey: Pulling up this is the worst. This is the worst offense. Like she goes over to one of the other chairs and sits on like the very edge of it and moves it right over to Bethany. So she's basically on Bethany's chair and is kind of over her shoulder, like, hey Bethany. Hey, hey Bethany. Blake: Ha ha. Casey: And Bethany is like, my fucking god, like why do I smell wine and like old woman breath on my throat? Blake: You're like spitting all over me. Like She's like, I really am so sorry about like what what I said about you. I was it was wrong. I shouldn't have done it. And like Bethany looks at her like this, like face to face, and is like, I appreciate that. Thank you. Like, thanks. And then Casey: And then it probably runs away as usual from the table. Blake: literally, and then then like so Ramona stays there, everyone else like clears the table, whatever, and Dorinda comes to like take plates off the table and it's just Ramona and she's like, I think like me and Bethany made up and Dorinda's like, no. Like actually no, not at all. Actually. Casey: So that's not what just occurred. I'm glad you felt good about it. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: But what really happened was not that. I'm I'm glad you're happy though. And Ramona's like, like, Blake: Or Casey: okay, like let me like let me pull her aside and world stop. Because this is Blake: World Stop. Casey: our namesake scene. And honestly, something so funny that I've literally never thought about until I was watching this scene. I was like, I guess I probably should have put that in the intro edit. Blake: Yeah. Casey: Like literally not ever once was I like, hmm, like that would probably fit well. Blake: That's really fucking I never thought that either. I really never Casey: And it's a hundred percent because I just like didn't already have this on my phone. And when I did that, I just did that like Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: from my my favorites from my phone. Like I didn't go looking for a single clip for that intro edit. I had them all. So this one just didn't make it in. But sorry if you've ever thought that yourself, I'm not changing it. So Blake: Sorry. Yeah, if you You know, I feel like it's almost like we were creative enough to branch out from just what it says. Casey: Yeah. It was intentional actually 'cause we wanted to wait have y'all wait till this exact moment so you could watch it, listen to it live. Blake: Mm-hmm. Right. We couldn't possibly have used that scene every single episode, and then coming up to this scene you'd be like, heard it already. Casey: It's like we just saw that an hour and 13 minutes ago at the start of Blake: Guys guys Casey: the episode. my god. But yes, it is our namesake scene. So this is a big freaking deal. If she had said mention all in the edit again, it would definitely be in the intro edit, but she doesn't. And actually I won't even I won't even say what I'm thinking. Blake: She's not J don't even bother her. Casey: my god, okay. Blake: Ha ha Casey: No, Blake: Whoo. Casey: Anyways, so they Ramona pulls her for a for a chat, a one-on-one at the Berkshires, and they leave like whatever rooms the people are in for the most part, and they go and they sit in a little side room in Dorinda's, you know, gorgeous sitting room, and it starts off with Bethany kind of being like, Okay, Ramona, like if you seriously want to talk, let's let's begin with that you're not a good friend to me. Like this has not been how my good friends treat me. And immediately it's game over. Like we Blake: Yeah. Casey: this statement has sent us into a Ramona frenzy that immediately you know we're not gonna have a real, like, mature conversation. It's done. Blake: Well once once the wows start coming, wow Bethany, wow, wow, wow, wow Bethany, wow. Right. Casey: Wow, wow, wow. Are you kidding me, Bethany? Wow. Wow. Wow. Blake: And that's how you know like it's a it's a brick wall and everything's bouncing off of it. Like we're not penetrating Casey: Right, she's mad as fuck and it's over now. And we're we're on the move. But Bethany, brave, brave here she is, she tries to persist in a serious, like actual like friend heart to heart of like, let me actually tell you what's upsetting me and maybe we can move forward. So for the podcast purposes, this is actually great because Bethany like summarizes the feud. She goes, Ramona, remember the Brooklyn Bridge? Remember the dresses you stole from me? Remember just a couple weeks ago when you strategically brought up my topless movie and my my soft porn or whatever it is on camera, even though you had plenty of chances to talk to me about it off camera when we spent time together like one-on-one over the summer. So these are in Bethany's mind, our top offenses across the feud. So we've got the Brooklyn Bridge, the theft. The waterbed topless allegations. Blake: Ha ha. Casey: And those are the top moments for Big Beth right now. And Ramona. Blake: This is how Ramona chooses to respond to a friend telling you exactly what she would like an apology for. Casey: Who Blake: The way that Bethany spreads her legs and then Ramona like tries to like cut character and go Woo Casey: She goes, woo That's what that's Blake: like no it's not that. Casey: a new favorite of me on this rewatch. Also, this has been a favorite of mine, but I I have to give it up for you never had any money until you fucked. Blake: Yeah. Casey: And her little hand motion. You never had any money until you fucked. And Bethany's like, fucked? Fucked what? Like, fucked. Blake: Tell you fu She's like, what are you talking? And like, by the way, like that makes no sense. Like it I feel like Bethany, it's like the one thing, Casey: You never had any money until you fucked. Blake: the one thing you know about Bethany, like annoying, whatever you want to say about her, but like we nobody like considers her like someone who like married into money or like didn't make it on her own. So it's like completely like, what are you talking about? And Casey: Yes. Right. This is not a rumor that's been out there about Miss Girl. Like that's not the allegations that she's frequently getting. So it is a little bit like, okay. Like Blake: Y it's like it's giving it's giving like you're a hot box from Sing Sing or whatever the fuck. Like it's it's like okay, so you just said something. Like you just made something up on the spot. Right. Casey: So true, so true. It that's so true. Just like explosive words and like Whatever is it whatever's Blake: We're just talking. Casey: making it through your drunk brain waves, like this this Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: somehow worked. But my god, it's so funny. Like even just like if you like wrote down just the actual dialogue and did like a like if you put it in like a play format, like just like the mention it all, like whoa whoo bitch, go ahead. Blake: Ha ha. Casey: I make my own money. You never had any money until you fucked Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: Wow. I mean this scene is like this is top tier housewives. I think you have to give this like all of its flowers. It's insane. And we're not even done. Like that's the first 40 seconds. And they continue to go Blake: That's the beginning. Casey: on. And if you're wondering where we are, this fight begins episode nine and goes into episode ten of season nine. But my god, it is so funny. And like this is where it starts to come out of what I was saying earlier of like Ramona clearly thinks they're They're equals, they're colleagues, they are, you know, peers in their field of female entrepreneurs. And this kind of shows itself here because Ramona is very much harping on like Bethany, like I am self made, like I I was married for twenty five years and you don't know about any of these things. Like you haven't been married and like you haven't like really like been in the business as long as I have. Like I've been doing this for so long and like I I my family was poor and I went to public school and like all this all this stuff. But the crux of it is like Bethany insulted my business, Ramona says, 'cause Bethany doesn't s like give accolades to her fake Pinot business. So Blake: Right. Well Bethany says like 'cause Ramona's attacking her, she's like, How many cases of wine, like, did you sell? And she was like she basically like was like, I sold h whatever, a hundred, five hundred whatever cases or whatever and then she's like, Well, your brand is done and then Bethany's like like okay, and and so then we kind of Casey: But this wounds Ramona the most and she wants revenge. I wanna hurt Bethany. I know, it's going well for you. You you keep it going. Blake: I drink wine Keep it going keep keep it going Ki keep drinking Casey: Yeah, I'm drinking wine, Loura, and like fuck. Like and yeah, it's going well for you. Blake: drink wine like we know like I saw that very clearly tonight like that being her argument she's like I got the she's like I got the perfect Casey: Like right, you drink wine, but that doesn't make you a businesswoman. Blake: I got the perfect response to her I drink wine Casey: the the you keep going like Bethany you didn't that doesn't even make sense like you keep going you you keep going Bethany my god and that confessional Blake: So Casey: man the her sitting in that booth however many days after this actually occurred and still going I Blake: I know. Casey: want to hurt Bethany Blake: So Bethany's like, okay, well, the truth is coming out. Like, it's very clear you're like insecure and jealous of me or whatever. Like, the truth's coming out. And then Ramona goes, The truth that you're a bitch. A bitchy witch. You're the bitchy witch. A bitchy witch, a bitchy witch. And then she's good luck to you. And then Ramona walks out. On the apology conversation that she asked to have. and then R Bethany goes upstairs. She's like, I'm going home. Because again, like I said, like Bethany will die before she doesn't leave a Ramona standoff event. And she's about to leave. Ramona comes up, runs into her in the hallway, and b ba Bethany's basically just like like you and I will never speak again. We will never be on the same sidewalk again. And Ramona goes, Why are you such a vicious bitch? I'm trying to make up with you and and Bethany goes, That's why. And then Ramona, like when Bethany leaves, is like talking to Sonya or something and she's like, I think well hopefully we'll get over this. Like hopefully we'll be able to make up for it, whatever. Like I'm like, you Are you blacked out? Like Casey: Seconds after calling her a vicious bitch, like being like honestly, I th I think we'll get through this though. Like I I think we're all set. Like I'm not worried about us. Like I think we're good. Blake: It'll be fine. I mean, I honestly I really think it's amazing that she can do something so insane drunk and not have anxiety and be like, my god, like it's over, we're done. She's just like, I think it'll be fine. I think it'll be okay. I think it'll fine. Like, you know what, that is we should all strive to think like Ramona the day after we drink. Casey: So true. But yeah, that's that's that. I mean, like literally like we like ourselves had question marks about Ramona's behavior and her reaction to this, but that's that's really it. Like Bethany once again, you can guess, leaves and she's on her way and she leaves. Like she's out, she's out eat and we don't really see much interaction with them until Bethany is planning a trip to Mexico. Again, you know, she's the host of the trip, quote unquote, whatever that means to you in the Housewives verse. But she's doing this Mexico trip because she has like a a site down there that produces is tequila that she's like delving into and she like is like you know kind of like wanting to go down there business but take the women, whatever. Who cares? But she tells them that they're she's inviting them and she like at a group dinner turns to Ramona. And basically it's like, I don't want you to come. Like, I I feel awkward because like you're obviously in this friend group, you've been in it longer than I have. You know, the unsaid thing is we're obviously on a cast together, we're coworkers, like, but you know, I'm feeling uncomfortable about it. Like, I really don't want you to go. And they talk about it the whole table. They're at like a small table. And Bethany goes, Nobody listen, like, nobody listen. So they're all like trying not to look at Bethany and Ramona, but it's like not a huge table. And Tinsley looks over at them at one point, and Bethany's stop it. Like, you better stop it. I asked you not to listen. Tinsley's like, I'm Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: so sorry. So, like, they're arguing in front of everybody, and everyone's pretending that they don't hear it. But Ramona, you know, tries to stand on, like, you've hurt me too, like my business, blah blah blah. And it it heats up as it does. And Bethany's like, okay, like you are not coming. And Ramona's like, I am. I'm gonna come. So sorry. Blake: Ramona's like, It's a group chip, I'm coming, I just won't go to your like one day tequila excursion, that's for your business. Casey: Right, you can you can actually bar me from your business site, but you can't stop me Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: from anything else. So I'm coming. Sorry. Blake: I'm coming. I'm coming. So that's exactly what she's like f Casey: He's like, okay, well, great. Blake: I mean, I guess I literally cannot like physically restrain you, so fine. Like I just would have imagined you'd have some like humility or shame or whatever, but no. So then they go to Mexico, and obviously Ramona. You would think Ramona would maybe be on her best behavior, but she does the same like room thing with Sonya and it Casey: Yeah. Blake: pisses Bethany off and she's just like being obnoxious. Bethany's like not having it. Bethany at one point screams, Stop being a vile human being. And Ramona has this moment of clarity, which is very interesting. She rarely has it, where she's like, I'm actually just going to pretend like it is Nothing's wrong with Bethany and I. We're and I'm we're just gonna have a great day. And so the entire day she just is like buying Bethany like souvenirs from like the souvenir shop. She's like, like you sh I'll get you this dress or like I'll get you this bag and she's like kissing her ass. Eventually at the end of like the day at at at dinner Bethany announces like fine, I'll fucking you can come. And then they come, they go back to the the the the home they're staying in. And Bethany has this moment where she's like, I've never had a relationship like this where like there are these swings where like I I hate you and you're an awful person to me, and then like you're so pleasant to be around and it's so fun. Like you gotta work on the middle, like you have to work on like just the middle and being normal and like nice and whatever. And and she's like, please, please, please, please Please don't say anything tomorrow in front of my business partners and ruin like that is it's so important, please. And Casey: All right. Blake: Ramona's like Ramona's like I would never do that to you. Casey: Me? What do you mean? I Blake: Mm. Casey: would never ever be absurd and disruptive in a public place, especially against you, Bethany. I love Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: to treat you with respect in public places. I literally would never say something mean to you in front of people in public on camera. I that doesn't even sound like me. Blake: What are you talking about, Bethany? Casey: Hey It's so nuts. And you know, they go and it's like fine, like whatever. She holds it together. And everyone gets so drunk at this tequila tasting, as you know, as expected. And when they come home, everyone's drunk, and like Bethany gets topless and gets in the pool. You know, she's she loves to be topless, as Ramona has identified. and they're in the pool, and you know, a c a beautiful housewives moment where we contrast the serious with the silly. They're in pool noodles and Bethany's naked and Ramona and her are talking and it Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: Is one of their better chats, but they're both so drunk. So it's not like super genuine. Like Bethany probably would have never had this conversation with her if she wasn't so hammered, but she is. So they're talking and you know it's kind of like this is the most honest I feel that they get with each other. Ramona's kind of going, you know, I actually like you, Bethany. Like I like you, I admire you, like I I like your personality, but I I don't know if you like me. Like I don't really feel that. And Bethany pretty much is, yep. Yeah. Right now, no, I definitely don't like you, Bethany says to her. So they're like getting getting into it. And, you know, she says, I don't like you because you've said all these things to me, X X, Y, Z, as we've gone through. Like, how can I be your friend? And I just need you to understand like why these things are not good friend moves if you want to be my friend. Like I need to know that you get it. She doesn't get it. She really doesn't get it. It's like almost like this is almost like a should be used in like a psychology course. 'cause Ramona really can't process it. Blake: Well, this is what I was gonna say at the beginning of the episode, where I said I'll save it for later. But I think that because so what happens here, Bethany keeps like pushing her on it. Like these are not things friends would do to me. Like this is not nice, it's not positive. Like a friend would not do these things. Why do you do these things? Like I wanna be good with you, blah, blah, blah. And Ramona starts crying, like sobbing, and it's just like, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. Am I evil? Am I evil? And Bethany's like, I don't she starts crying too. She's like, I don't think you're evil Like, I know you don't know, I don't you don't know, but I just need you to be better and like I wanna blah blah blah. And I really feel like it all just does stem from Like she's not fully happy in her life, but also she doesn't go to therapy and work through like how that manifests in her relationships, and she's just used to like people like dealing with her. Like Sonya just kind of deals with her. And when you have someone who's pushing back on you, being like, No, I want to interrogate the behavior before we move forward as friends, she like shuts down because she doesn't want to go there because I think it would bring up a lot of pain. And that's why she starts crying here. And so So this to me was actually like a very, I think, important scene. Unfortunately, it doesn't really like go anywhere, but I think it really like shows us that like if Ramona did choose to work on herself in a way that was real, I think that she probably Casey: Right, did some actual self reflection into the things that she said. Even if a self-reflection is I don't know why I did that. That's still something like into like examining your like patterns Blake: Right. Casey: of volatile speech. Like this is not like lighthearted things that you're saying to her. She's saying very damaging things to Bethany. I mean like the Brooklyn Bridge again is the most scathing, but it's very similar in tone to a lot of the other things she says to her throughout this entire thing. So like you have to you have to at least feel some type of remorse even if you can't understand what was going through your head when you said it. And like yeah, she needs intense therapy like based on the things that she says here. but I can Blake: Yeah. And they do end Casey: I can assume she doesn't go to it. Blake: No, they end season nine on a good place. At a good place. season ten begins with the infamous Halloween scene, and we will, you know, we already did an episode on season ten of Real Househouse in New York, so if you want the in depth of everything that goes on in that season, go listen to our episode. but for the purposes of this episode, they they basically are fine until like the very end of the party where Bethany talks about how she bought a new property in in in the Hamptons and Ramona's just like being shady about it. I'll play the clip. Bethany looks incredible in that drag queen makeup. So good. Casey: What a scene. I mean like that's Pictures the Come on, Amelia, and Carol and Carol in the Amelia outfit and Louin listening from behind the bush in her offensive costume. Blake: In her black face dying of Ross costume. it's this is cinema. This is this Casey: it's so funny. Blake: is cinema. and I will just say that Ramona It's truly like it is her fault that she gets herself in these situations because all she has to do is say, grey, I'm so happy for you. Instead she's s which side of the ho s it's it's right by the I see. I wouldn't do that. Like d you Like, lady, at some point you need to learn how to speak to people and you are near the tail end of your lifespan. So I don't know if you even care at this point, but like stop acting surprised when people are upset with the way that you speak to them. Casey: Hundred percent. No, it's so wild. And, you know, they they they beef throughout season ten, but this is kind of a one-off, and then the rest of their feud in season ten actually a double promo because not only do we talk about this in our season ten debriefs, we talk about this in the Housewives Businesses episode because their feud actually centers around a Ramona entrepreneurial effort at one point. And, you know, this comes up when they're at a group event, they're at a group Christmas party, and Ramona kind of tries To tie her gift into this new Ageless by Ramona skincare line she's doing. So she gives Luann something and it's basically like, and by the way, like I have a skincare line coming. Ageless by Ramona. And Bethany overhears her and cuts her off. And it's basically like, that's not a gift then. You're doing an infomercial, like you're pushing a product onto us. Like all of our gifts aren't actually gifts because they were all like related to like skincare, like whatever. Blake: Yeah, she was like, it's it's self serving, I thought it was a nice deed or whatever, and she kinda just like cuts her down. and everyone notices is just like this is kind of like Bethany loves to like hawk her fucking products and like Ramona can't mention that she's doing a skincare brand. So this is the prelude to like just This is the prelude to such a cinematic, beautiful, gorgeous scene. And this is kind of when I'm like, I'm feeling I'm on Ramona's side. Casey: This specific instance, her just lightly mentioning her doing a skincare line when isn't that annoying. And for it to come from Bethany, who has mentioned her own stuff on every single season of New York since she's been on it, probably even somehow the ones that she wasn't on. Like it's a little bit like this is the one time that I don't think Ramona did anything to deserve it. But ultimately, Blake: No. Casey: can I be mad at Bethany for doing that after this entire feud? No, because Ramona has had her time to be ridiculous. So like whatever. If you want to dig at her for this, okay, but I understand why the group doesn't vibe with it. Blake: Yeah. Casey: Because it it it seems it comes out a little bit aggressive when Ramona wasn't even really talking to the group or to her. Like she interrupted her. And again, Bethany's perspective is tough on that one. But it sets us Blake: And then Casey: up. Blake: yeah, it sets us up for Bethany calling Ramona and we get this wonderful scene. to speak to me that way? Casey: The audacity. Like she she almost had it all together. But this is so good. And this isn't even like the full scene, because the whole two minutes of it that she talks on the phone is all incredible, but that's too long for us to play here. But Blake: She like filibusters Bethany and like doesn't let her say anything and she's like, You pissed Dorinda off. Like you didn't like s say thank you for the nutcracker. Like she she's just like Casey: I love Part. It's an underrated part because the best part of it is obviously you don't support other women. Like that's that's the key, like the audacity part, but the rhythm that she has. And as soon as Carol left the party, you talked behind her back. And do you know how upset you got Dorinda over the nutcracker? Like she's on a roll. Blake: The rhythm Casey: She's on a roll and she cannot be stopped. And she ate this one little thing because I really love the scene. This is like a real good Ramona moment. and I do. Think that she calls her out on things that are just, and she is actually coherent about some of her points in this conversation, and we get gorgeous camera angles of the street and her dog who is Blake: Ha ha. Casey: getting all the tea. He's just standing on the street corner, like, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: what the damn hell is going on right now? Like, I could use a walk. But it's incredible. I mean, it's just so incredible. I really just no notes. Blake: Yeah. And so there at this point it's like whatever. Ramona hangs up on her. They're both done with each other. So we end the season and I would say this is probably like where the feud kind of is just takes reaches its like point where like we are not friends anymore. Like we will just continue to like be in the same room, but like nothing is really like Popping off, we don't we're not trying anymore. This is like the ending of that, where after Luann has her cabaret later in the season, episode nineteen, and you have to remember, and we didn't episode on this, two episodes, that Carol and Bethany are falling out this entire season. So after Luann's cabaret, Bethany tries to talk to Carol one-on-one to be like, can we talk about our friendship? While they're talking, Ramona kind of like Walks on in, like, hey girls, what's up? And Bethany's like, Can I like have a one-on-one with Carol? And Ramona's like, Well, I can stand here, like what do you mean? And she's like, Well no, I'm talking to her like one-on-one, like, can I please have a moment? She's You always do this, but sure. Should I come back in one minute, two minutes, five minutes? And Bethany's like, I don't know. Call my secretary, get an appointment. And then Ramona's just like, Well, you know what? Let me just tell you something. I actually have something to say to you. I Casey: Why'd I even ask? I actually will just go right ahead. I don't know why I don't know why I did that. Blake: Yeah She's like I was actually very hurt, Bethany, that you never responded to my anti-aging skincare like launch event invitation and you didn't even congratulate me and Bethany literally is just like Noted okay, noted that you feel that way Casey: Okay, Bethany says. Wow, Bethany, wow. Blake: The way that Ramona The way that Ramona clutches her chest and like like she's like a puppet. She like shakes her head like a bobblehead, t walks towards the camera, it is so Casey: Wow. Wow. That's it. Wow. Blake: Wow. Casey: I mean it's just ridiculous. Meanwhile, she interrupted the first conversation that Bethany's had with her estranged soulmate best friend in how God knows how long. So thanks a lot, Ramona. Not only did you just do this for no fucking reason, Bethany and Carol's actual first productive conversation that's happened and God knows how long is now over because you interrupted it and did this shit. So Bethany's probably like, are you literally serious? Like, I cannot escape you. Blake: But also But also this is also like this is one of the two maybe moments of the entire feud where I'm like, that is kind of fucked up of Bethany to 'cause what she says in her confessional is I've never seen Ramona's businesses pan out, so I didn't take it seriously. I do feel like we cannot ignore the fact that Bethany just does also feel better than everyone, like above everyone. She feels like she's like She gets to play on a different playing field than everyone else. And I feel like if someone had done that to her, she would have been offended. If they had said Casey: For sure. Blake: that they ignored completely the invitation, didn't say anything, didn't congratulate her, never brought it up. She would be like, it was really nice of you to say something about my skinny girl wine that just dropped. Like, so I think that's like Casey: Right. For some reason Bethany has a hard time with business 'cause like she wants to maintain this like image of her like knowing so much that like she like can't be tarnished by even showing an ounce of support for like Ramona's bullshit or like Sonia's bullshit back in the day. Like she has to like on camera like shame them to show that she's such a shark cutthroat business Blake: Yeah. Casey: lady. Like we g we know, girl, it's fine. Like we believe you. Like you don't have to do this. And we all know Ramona's businesses are fake and suck, but like that's one of those things that you just Blake: But you can't you can't act like everything always happens to you and you've done nothing to anyone else when you are also not a good friend to other people. Like there's a reason people maybe don't like view you as like a girl's girl or someone that they like trust or want to be friends with if that's how you view them. Like and and to Ramona's point on the phone, you don't support other women. Like you could have come and been like Casey: Right. Especially 'cause Bethany, like, from the business perspective has always claimed that like she's gonna give back to like small owned women businesses, like and like help other people like climb up faster. But then she did because like Blake: Right. Casey: it was hard, even though she like never does that, still to this day. So Ramona clocked her Blake: Right. Casey: shit early because we've had actually plenty of real twenty twenty-six examples of like small female owned businesses that Bethany has like done wrong or stolen from. So technically Blake: Yeah Casey: Ramona like I said, she ate this one little thing. This is when she actually was correct this one time. Other than that though. Blake: Yeah, so basically at the end of this episode, Ramona walks over to Carol. Carol just tells her, like, I think you need to lower your expectations and like not really expect much of her, like, blah blah blah. And Ramona's like, You're right, that's actually great advice. And Casey: Like, that changes everything. Like, now I can talk to her. And it's just funny because they're both like they have pretty similar haircuts. And all I could think was, wow, they're beautiful matching bobs that are full of hate for Bethany. Like they Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: they had a bonding moment while their Bob's joint energies collided with Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: their mutual hatred for Bethany Frankel. Like, how stunning, how stunning that is, and what a beautiful place to leave off the feud. Because that's pretty much that. I mean, like, there's A little bit at some of like the season 10 reunion, but we don't got time for that right now. So go watch it if you're really curious, but it's not a lot. Blake: It's it's it's pretty much it ends it ends there and we also again did do an episode on season ten. So go watch go stream our episode or two episodes, part one, part two. But yeah, that's that is the timeline and that is the trajectory of their friendship. That's they just were never meant to, I think, be friends. They never got each other.
