- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Now you'll find out what it all means.
- 0:05Speaker 3: He smarts alone on seven tenor.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Hey, well it's a rainy day to day. It's gonna
- 0:13Speaker 2: be like this all day. Don't forget. We go off
- 0:17Speaker 2: daylight Saving time Saturday. It's gonna start getting dark like
- 0:20Speaker 2: five point fifteen starting Sunday. Hey, we'll get to the
- 0:23Speaker 2: mayoral race. There have been some changes. We'll get to
- 0:25Speaker 2: that in a moment. We'll get to the World Series.
- 0:27Speaker 2: We'll get to President Trump his trip to China. He's
- 0:31Speaker 2: still on the way back. Won't get back here till
- 0:33Speaker 2: about three in the afternoon. We'll get to CBS firing
- 0:37Speaker 2: lots of people, and a whole lot more coming up.
- 0:40Speaker 2: We'll get to Jerome Powell and all of that. So
- 0:43Speaker 2: the mayoral race. Things are changing again, now, I know.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I said that yesterday, and yesterday the news was, according
- 0:50Speaker 2: to the polls that had come out, that Cuomo was
- 0:53Speaker 2: narrowing the gap. Well, according to the polls that have
- 0:57Speaker 2: come out since in the last twenty four hours, the
- 1:00Speaker 2: gap is widening and Mamdannie is increasing his lead dramatically
- 1:06Speaker 2: over Cuomo. Now you're saying, well, how could it flip
- 1:09Speaker 2: flop like that. Well, the problem is we haven't had
- 1:11Speaker 2: any real polls ever in this mayoral race. We've got
- 1:14Speaker 2: all these junk polls, these cheap polls, these college polls,
- 1:18Speaker 2: these media polls. They're not very good and they're not
- 1:21Speaker 2: very reliable. But the major polls, the major polling companies,
- 1:25Speaker 2: and the top posters. Normally, the campaigns behind the scenes
- 1:29Speaker 2: bring in the best posters, you know, McLaughlin and Trafalgar,
- 1:33Speaker 2: those kind of guys. They haven't been spending the money.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Nobody's been doing the polling, so we're relying on these
- 1:38Speaker 2: junk poles and again they're not very accurate. But the
- 1:42Speaker 2: latest thing have come out in the last twenty four
- 1:44Speaker 2: hours Emerson College poll and a Maris College poll. Again,
- 1:50Speaker 2: these are these these are colleges that are they're too
- 1:53Speaker 2: cheap to have a football team, so to get attention,
- 1:56Speaker 2: they start a polling company and instead of having to
- 1:59Speaker 2: build a football stadium and spend one hundred million on
- 2:02Speaker 2: a football team, you spend a dollar fifty and you
- 2:04Speaker 2: give some students some iPads and you take your polls.
- 2:07Speaker 2: But so they're not very reliable polls. But in one
- 2:11Speaker 2: Mamdani has increased his lead to sixteen points, forty eight
- 2:15Speaker 2: to thirty two over Cuomo, forty eight to thirty two
- 2:19Speaker 2: over Cuomo. In the other one, Mamdanmi's lead is twenty
- 2:24Speaker 2: five points. He's leading Cuomo fifty to twenty five, fifty
- 2:29Speaker 2: to twenty five. Now and curtisly we we he'd be
- 2:33Speaker 2: the best mayor of all the bunch, the best guy
- 2:36Speaker 2: in the race, but he's not. You know this, Curtis
- 2:39Speaker 2: must get out. Forget that, forget that. Even if Curtis
- 2:43Speaker 2: is out, it doesn't it doesn't help Cuomo. He still
- 2:46Speaker 2: would be way behind. With Curtis out, Cuomo would still
- 2:49Speaker 2: be behind. Now if you look into the real detail
- 2:54Speaker 2: of the polling, the problem is Cuomo's unfavorability. His unfavorability
- 2:59Speaker 2: is fifty five five percent. People don't like him. They
- 3:03Speaker 2: actually can't stand him for the things he did as governor.
- 3:06Speaker 2: He did horrible things as governor. People felt the effects.
- 3:09Speaker 2: He created the crime wave with all his no bail,
- 3:12Speaker 2: no jail and closed the prisons and all his nonsense.
- 3:16Speaker 2: He killed a lot of people's relatives and nursing homes.
- 3:19Speaker 2: He drove their electric bills up, closing Indian Point and
- 3:22Speaker 2: go on and on he's the guy that picked Kathy
- 3:25Speaker 2: Hochel for us, so a lot of people. The unfavorability
- 3:29Speaker 2: rating on Quomo is just so high, just very very
- 3:34Speaker 2: very high. It's hard to overcome that no matter who
- 3:36Speaker 2: drops out of the race. Now, the other problem is
- 3:39Speaker 2: Mom Donnie's favorability is still very high. His likability is
- 3:44Speaker 2: fifty seven percent in these polls. That's huge, fifty seven
- 3:50Speaker 2: percent likability. Now here's the real problem. To stop Mom Donnie,
- 3:55Speaker 2: it's not about Curtis getting out of the race. To
- 3:57Speaker 2: stop Mondannie, and John McLaughlin told us this in the beginning,
- 4:00Speaker 2: and he's a real expert on this stuff. To stop Mondanni,
- 4:04Speaker 2: you needed the big, big, big, big donors to put
- 4:08Speaker 2: the money into these super packs, and the super PACs
- 4:11Speaker 2: needed to run ads around the clock everywhere TV, social
- 4:15Speaker 2: media everywhere, bombard people with these ads exposing every bad
- 4:19Speaker 2: thing about Mom Donnie, all the bad video, all the
- 4:22Speaker 2: bad things he said, all the stuff. They had to
- 4:25Speaker 2: see these ads around the clock for weeks. Well, that's
- 4:29Speaker 2: normally what happens, but in this case, the big donors
- 4:32Speaker 2: didn't do it. They were afraid to do it. They
- 4:35Speaker 2: were afraid because your name will be attached to that pack.
- 4:37Speaker 2: You can trace the contributors, and they didn't want to
- 4:41Speaker 2: offend Mom Donnie. They were worried he would win and
- 4:43Speaker 2: they wanted to have a good relationship with him. So
- 4:46Speaker 2: the big donors failed you in this race by not
- 4:49Speaker 2: funding those super packs, those packs that would have run
- 4:52Speaker 2: all the ads. And that's the real problem. Mike Bloomberg
- 4:58Speaker 2: has jumped in at the last moment yesterday, late yesterday
- 5:01Speaker 2: announcing he's endorsing Cuomo. Now you might say, didn't he
- 5:06Speaker 2: do that two months ago? Yes, but he's doing it again,
- 5:10Speaker 2: second endorsement a Cuomo. He also kicked in one point
- 5:14Speaker 2: five million to the campaign. He wrote a check to
- 5:17Speaker 2: Cuomo for one point five million for his campaign yesterday. Now,
- 5:21Speaker 2: some people will tell you, people that know Bloomberg will say, well,
- 5:25Speaker 2: you know, he's very meticulous with the data. He studies data,
- 5:30Speaker 2: so he obviously saw that Cuomo had a chance, and
- 5:34Speaker 2: that's why he jumped in with the one point five million.
- 5:39Speaker 2: But there are other people that know Bloomberg that will
- 5:42Speaker 2: tell you one point five million is like a quarter
- 5:46Speaker 2: for us, It's like nothing, it's a It's a very
- 5:49Speaker 2: low contribution from him. So they didn't. They interpret that
- 5:53Speaker 2: that he doesn't think Cloma was gonna win. He doesn't
- 5:55Speaker 2: want to waste ten million on this. So the fact
- 5:58Speaker 2: that it's a low amount by Bloomberg standards might mean
- 6:02Speaker 2: that he's not too confident in Cuomo. Now, don't listen
- 6:05Speaker 2: to anybody who gives you this anecdotal evidence. You know,
- 6:09Speaker 2: people will tell you everywhere I look, there's yard signs,
- 6:11Speaker 2: it doesn't mean anything. It's anecdotal. Or hey, I went
- 6:15Speaker 2: to the poll and it was the longest line. Well
- 6:17Speaker 2: that's just one polling place. Doesn't mean anything. But we
- 6:19Speaker 2: do know for a fact that voter turnout in the
- 6:23Speaker 2: early voting is huge. It's still every day about five
- 6:26Speaker 2: hundred percent more than normal. It's like five times normal.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Now some think that will help Cuomo. Some think that
- 6:35Speaker 2: Mamdani has energized his crazy lunatic left wing base and
- 6:41Speaker 2: they're coming out like crazy. But it is high. It
- 6:44Speaker 2: is very, very very high. If the turnout, which normally
- 6:49Speaker 2: is you know, the blagser will get elected with m Fagoto,
- 6:52Speaker 2: was twenty three percent turnout something like that, and we've
- 6:55Speaker 2: had these elections twenty two percent turnout, twenty eight percent.
- 6:59Speaker 2: But in the good old days when Rudy got elected,
- 7:01Speaker 2: you had to turn out like a seventy eight percent.
- 7:05Speaker 2: If we can get back to that, that could change things.
- 7:07Speaker 2: And it looks like we're headed that way with huge, huge,
- 7:10Speaker 2: huge voter turnout. Now there's video coming out. You know,
- 7:14Speaker 2: you've seen these eclipse of Mam Donnie said something horrible.
- 7:17Speaker 2: A year ago, he said something disgusting. Two years ago,
- 7:21Speaker 2: he said something anti Israel, anti Semitic, three years ago,
- 7:24Speaker 2: you see these all the time, said something bad about America,
- 7:29Speaker 2: something like you've seen these clips all along. There's a
- 7:32Speaker 2: new batch of Mam Donnie from years ago. He was
- 7:35Speaker 2: speaking at rallies back then, not to run from mayor.
- 7:38Speaker 2: He was a new assemblyman, but he was running around
- 7:41Speaker 2: speaking at these anti Semitic, crazy left wing, awful rallies.
- 7:45Speaker 2: And he wasn't dressed like he's dressed now. He wasn't
- 7:48Speaker 2: in a suit and tie. He was dressed like in
- 7:51Speaker 2: protester garb, dressed like a protester, hair was much longer, scragglier,
- 7:57Speaker 2: but again, dressed like a protester and screaming, not the
- 8:00Speaker 2: polished delivery he's using now. Screaming and a lot of
- 8:04Speaker 2: his antisemitic defund Israel, yelling and screaming about Israel. But
- 8:10Speaker 2: it's ugly stuff. It's really ugly stuff. So there's piles
- 8:14Speaker 2: of that video that we never saw before now coming
- 8:16Speaker 2: out in the New York Post has a big story
- 8:19Speaker 2: on it today. You'll start singing it tonight on TV.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Some of this video from these rallies. I don't know
- 8:25Speaker 2: if it changes anything. We've already seen bad stuff from
- 8:28Speaker 2: Mom Donnie. Everybody's aware of his past comments and all
- 8:31Speaker 2: the crazy stuff. So I don't know if it changes anything.
- 8:34Speaker 2: And it's way too late to really make a difference
- 8:37Speaker 2: in anything. So again, I can't tell you what to believe.
- 8:41Speaker 2: These polls show an absolute total victory, maybe even a
- 8:47Speaker 2: landslide from Mom Donnie. And again it has nothing to
- 8:49Speaker 2: do with Curtis. You can yell and scream. The Curtis
- 8:52Speaker 2: has to get other race. It's not going to help
- 8:54Speaker 2: Cuomo in any way. According to all these poles, and
- 8:57Speaker 2: again they're all junk poles. You can't rely on them
- 8:59Speaker 2: too much. But we'll keep on it for you. We'll
- 9:03Speaker 2: get back to the mayoral race. President Trump successful meeting
- 9:07Speaker 2: with President Sheet in China. It went for hours. We
- 9:13Speaker 2: seem to have gotten everything we need. We got the
- 9:15Speaker 2: trade deal, we got the fentanyl deal, we got the
- 9:18Speaker 2: deal for them to buy our soybeans, we got the
- 9:21Speaker 2: deal for the chips, we got the AI deal. Now,
- 9:23Speaker 2: a lot of people will point out, you can make
- 9:26Speaker 2: these deals with China, we have in the past. President
- 9:29Speaker 2: Trump did in his first term, and they just don't
- 9:31Speaker 2: stick to him. So it might be great that we
- 9:34Speaker 2: got all these deals, but again they don't really stick
- 9:37Speaker 2: to it. So I don't really know what it means.
- 9:40Speaker 2: But things went very well. They went as well as
- 9:42Speaker 2: they could go considering and it's just check. Yes, stock
- 9:46Speaker 2: market up two hundred points, so obviously Wall Street happy
- 9:49Speaker 2: with these deals. It looked pretty good. The President is
- 9:53Speaker 2: flying back. You know, it's a hell of a long flight.
- 9:55Speaker 2: It's an amazing long flight to come back from Korea China.
- 10:00Speaker 2: So he'll be on the plane eighteen hours, twenty hours,
- 10:03Speaker 2: whatever the hell it is. He's going to land today
- 10:05Speaker 2: at three o'clock. He'll be back at three o'clock. He'll
- 10:09Speaker 2: get to the White House about three thirty. At five o'clock.
- 10:13Speaker 2: He's got a Halloween party he's hosting. I don't know
- 10:15Speaker 2: why they're doing it tonight. But tonight's the big Halloween
- 10:17Speaker 2: White House party. So he makes this five country trip,
- 10:22Speaker 2: he flies to nine thousand places, he comes back for
- 10:25Speaker 2: twenty hours on the plane, and then he's going to
- 10:27Speaker 2: go right off the plane to a Halloween party and
- 10:29Speaker 2: host it. Now, contrast that with Joe Biden. Remember once
- 10:33Speaker 2: in a while, once a year, Joe Biden would make
- 10:35Speaker 2: some sort of European trip and after the trip, you
- 10:38Speaker 2: wouldn't see him for three weeks. He'd be bedridden for
- 10:41Speaker 2: three weeks just to recover from the trip. So what
- 10:44Speaker 2: a difference. The shutdown continues, Chuck Schumer, the King of shutdowns,
- 10:50Speaker 2: Mister shutdown, Chuck Schumer.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Right now we're staring down the barrel at two crises
- 10:55Speaker 3: at once, a healthcare crisis and a hunger crisis, and
- 10:59Speaker 3: both are caused by one man, Donald Trump.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Which doesn't make any sense if you look at the situation.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Thirteen times they've put it up to a vote. Let's
- 11:08Speaker 2: reopen the government. Everybody will get all their benefits. Let's
- 11:11Speaker 2: reopen for whatever it was, seven weeks, ten weeks, and
- 11:14Speaker 2: give us chance to negotiate. Every single time Schumer had
- 11:18Speaker 2: the Democrats voted down thirteen times. They voted it down
- 11:22Speaker 2: over and over. They just keep voting it down. Speaker
- 11:24Speaker 2: Mike Johnson.
- 11:25Speaker 4: We pray the Senate Democrats come to their senses before
- 11:27Speaker 4: the situation becomes too dire. On Saturday, this gets very real.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Yes Saturday, the Snap benefits the forty two million on
- 11:37Speaker 2: food stamps, Now what normally would happen. Forty two million
- 11:41Speaker 2: on foodstamps don't get their benefits. A lot of local
- 11:44Speaker 2: food banks and those sort of charities would step in
- 11:48Speaker 2: and help them and get them what they need to
- 11:51Speaker 2: get through this. We're hearing reports that many food banks
- 11:55Speaker 2: and charities are going to withhold that because they think
- 12:00Speaker 2: would help Trump. You know, there are a lot of
- 12:03Speaker 2: left wing crazy people running these charities. They don't want
- 12:06Speaker 2: to help Trump, so they're going to withhold doing anything.
- 12:08Speaker 2: So they will they will try to starve people just
- 12:11Speaker 2: because of their Trump arrangement syndrome.
- 12:14Speaker 4: Or air traffic controllers and TSA agents and park rangers
- 12:17Speaker 4: are about to go without a paycheck. You've got families
- 12:20Speaker 4: and children that rely upon Snap benefits that are going
- 12:24Speaker 4: to go hungry here at the end of the week.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Now with the air traffic controllers. We're not up to
- 12:30Speaker 2: full speed. There's a lot of delays. If you go
- 12:33Speaker 2: to the airport, look up at that big board, like
- 12:35Speaker 2: seventy five eighty percent of the flights are delayed. There's
- 12:37Speaker 2: been some ground steps. This is due to the shutdown,
- 12:40Speaker 2: not enough air traffic controllers. Now the Senate is taking
- 12:44Speaker 2: time off now tomorrow they're all flying home. All these
- 12:47Speaker 2: senators are flying home, so they'll have to go through
- 12:49Speaker 2: the airports and deal with the shutdown. Slow down at
- 12:54Speaker 2: the airports. It's now going to personally affect all of
- 12:57Speaker 2: them this weekend. So let's see if that mode evates
- 13:00Speaker 2: them in any way. We don't have the clips that
- 13:04Speaker 2: you heard Schumer speaking. He then took questions from reporters
- 13:08Speaker 2: and he lost his cool. He started yelling and screaming
- 13:11Speaker 2: at the reporters, a sign I think that he's just
- 13:14Speaker 2: ridiculously frustrated, not about the shutdown, but he knows it's
- 13:20Speaker 2: the end of the line for him. He knows he's
- 13:22Speaker 2: finished as a politician, and he just made a mess
- 13:26Speaker 2: of his own career. I mean a hell of a career,
- 13:29Speaker 2: but in these last couple of years, he's just made
- 13:31Speaker 2: a mess of things. He's been a disaster as a leader.
- 13:34Speaker 2: You know, when he yells and screams about forty two
- 13:36Speaker 2: million on food stamps, people hear that and they say,
- 13:39Speaker 2: why are forty two million on food stamps? That's like
- 13:43Speaker 2: a monument to the bad leadership of Chuck Schumer. Forty
- 13:47Speaker 2: two millionaire in food stamps. So anyway've got a lot
- 13:51Speaker 2: to get to. Hey, Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I
- 13:54Speaker 2: don't know what to do about this. Should you not
- 13:56Speaker 2: ever buy Ben and Jerry's ever again? They don't own
- 13:59Speaker 2: it anymore. It was bought by Unilever, a big company,
- 14:03Speaker 2: and Unilever's okay, but this Ben and Jerry, these are
- 14:06Speaker 2: two crazy, nut job left wing kooks. They wanted. They're
- 14:10Speaker 2: in a big fight with Unilever. Ben and Jerry now
- 14:12Speaker 2: opening their own ice cream company called Magnum ice Cream Company.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Here's what the fight was about. Ben and Jerry wanted
- 14:21Speaker 2: to launch Palestinian themed ice cream. Palestinian themed ice cream.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Unilever said no. Ben and Jerry got all crazy and
- 14:33Speaker 2: opened their own company. They're gonna make it. It's a
- 14:35Speaker 2: watermelon flavored ice cream. Now you might be saying watermelon
- 14:41Speaker 2: ice cream. Well, there's a reason for that. I didn't
- 14:44Speaker 2: know this. Watermelons the symbol of Palestinian solidarity, appearing on
- 14:49Speaker 2: signs at protests in social media comments because the fruits red, green,
- 14:55Speaker 2: black and white colors matched those on the Palestinian flag.
- 15:00Speaker 2: If you ever hear of a Magnum ice cream company,
- 15:02Speaker 2: stay the hell away. It's Ben and Jerry with their
- 15:07Speaker 2: Palestinian ice cream. Liberal nutjobs will all go crazy buying it,
- 15:12Speaker 2: but they'll then get the punishment. You're gonna have to
- 15:16Speaker 2: eat watermelon ice cream anyway. We'll take some calls in
- 15:19Speaker 2: a minute. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten
- 15:23Speaker 2: is the number. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:28Speaker 2: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 15:31Speaker 2: time and tap the breset button.
- 15:33Speaker 5: Now.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Now back to the Mark Simone show on WOR.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 15:43Speaker 2: seven ten is the number. Let's go to Kathy in
- 15:45Speaker 2: North Carolina. Kathy, how you doing?
- 15:48Speaker 6: Good? Good morning, Mark. I was curious since you seem
- 15:51Speaker 6: to know many facts that we don't know. Do you
- 15:54Speaker 6: know or do we all know, who the whistleblower was
- 15:57Speaker 6: who dug out the information about the Morgan fraud for
- 16:00Speaker 6: Leticia James, because like, I feel like we owe them
- 16:03Speaker 6: a dinner or something. Oh, he would have never found.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Out there were several of them. The one who really
- 16:08Speaker 2: did the like, I can't remember his name, I'm blanking
- 16:10Speaker 2: it out, but you can look it up. He's on
- 16:12Speaker 2: he's got a website and all that. And then not
- 16:16Speaker 2: Eddie and sam Antar. Remember crazy Eddie, right? You know,
- 16:22Speaker 2: Well sam Antar went to jail for white collar you know,
- 16:27Speaker 2: financial fraud kind of a thing, and he has been
- 16:30Speaker 2: great ever since. He's been just digging into you know,
- 16:35Speaker 2: a lot of these are records you can find. He's
- 16:36Speaker 2: been digging up all the records and going through everything.
- 16:39Speaker 2: He's been great at it.
- 16:41Speaker 6: Yeah, it's not like a reporter would do that for
- 16:43Speaker 6: us or anything. But thank you, Sam, we owe your dinner.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Yeah. And there's the other guy. I'm blanking out of
- 16:48Speaker 2: the other guy's name. But these two guys have been
- 16:50Speaker 2: amazing sam Antar, I know you. Roger Stone has played
- 16:55Speaker 2: a lot of tributes to this sam Antar, not just
- 16:58Speaker 2: the Letitia James, but he has done some amazing work
- 17:00Speaker 2: on these other cases. You're right, he's doing what reporters
- 17:03Speaker 2: should do, but they won't do it because it's a Democrat.
- 17:06Speaker 6: They won't Thank you for selling me in.
- 17:08Speaker 2: I knew you'd know. I love you all right, thanks
- 17:11Speaker 2: for calling. Yeah, if it was a Trump guy, these reporters,
- 17:15Speaker 2: every reporter, every network would have done all this work.
- 17:17Speaker 2: But instead we got to rely on these two guys
- 17:20Speaker 2: to do it. Let's go to Steve in Manhattan. Steve,
- 17:23Speaker 2: how you doing all right?
- 17:25Speaker 7: More New York City ballot initiatives two, three, and four.
- 17:28Speaker 2: We're voting, though it takes the power of the neighbor.
- 17:30Speaker 2: All right, we don't quite know what you're talking about,
- 17:32Speaker 2: but thanks for Colin. Let's go to Phil in Queens. Phil,
- 17:35Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 17:37Speaker 5: Hey, I'm doing good. I think Stam also helped break
- 17:39Speaker 5: that billionaire Ponzi scheme also, but listen, I have a
- 17:46Speaker 5: bone to pick with you. Very briefly, Curtis worked as
- 17:49Speaker 5: hard as Trump. Curtis is putting in twenty hour days, yes,
- 17:53Speaker 5: for weeks and weeks, and he is going all over
- 17:56Speaker 5: the city. He had offices in the Bronx and Bushwick.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Yeah, we know all this. What is the bone?
- 18:03Speaker 5: No, no, you you, I'm sorry, I love you, but
- 18:05Speaker 5: you mentioned that he isn't working hard enough, or he
- 18:08Speaker 5: isn't going enough.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Wait, you know you've got the wrong show. I never
- 18:11Speaker 2: said that. I looked my dear, well, you maybe, but
- 18:14Speaker 2: you're completely nuts. I've never said that. See the problem
- 18:17Speaker 2: is you can't make up that kind of stuff because
- 18:19Speaker 2: we have every show. Anybody can go dig up the podcast.
- 18:22Speaker 2: I never, ever, ever, ever said Curtis wasn't working hard.
- 18:26Speaker 2: That's another show. I won't mention which one, but it's not.
- 18:29Speaker 2: It's not me. You've jumbled us up. But that's okay.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Let's go to Chris in Manhattan. Chris, how you doing.
- 18:36Speaker 8: I'm doing, Thanks good, Thanks fork Listen. You know yesterday
- 18:38Speaker 8: I know you said it's anecdotal, but I went to
- 18:40Speaker 8: vote on sixty on seventy sixth Street Way.
- 18:43Speaker 2: You have a history. We love you, but you have
- 18:45Speaker 2: a history of anecdotal stuff. You remember how abortion was
- 18:48Speaker 2: going to kill Trump in the election, and you said.
- 18:50Speaker 8: I love you, you are fantastic, and I believe that. Okay,
- 18:53Speaker 8: but I just want to say yesterday, when I was voting,
- 18:56Speaker 8: there was nobody there under fifty and absolutely everybody was
- 19:00Speaker 8: voting for for Cuomo. Not because they liked him, but
- 19:04Speaker 8: it was like atm a gear.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Again, that's anecdotal, totally anecdotal, all right, But I.
- 19:11Speaker 8: Can ask another question, of course. Okay, what happened to
- 19:16Speaker 8: Tucker Carlson? When did he like fall off the cliff?
- 19:21Speaker 2: Uh?
- 19:22Speaker 8: Did you know what I mean? Like I used to
- 19:24Speaker 8: like him.
- 19:25Speaker 2: In the same vein as people have tried to analyze that.
- 19:28Speaker 2: He started off great on Fox News, and he was
- 19:30Speaker 2: at one point the highest rated show, but then he
- 19:33Speaker 2: went kind of uh, you know, he's a very sophisticated,
- 19:35Speaker 2: classy Washington, d C. Kind of a guy. Then all
- 19:39Speaker 2: of a sudden he went very redneck. You know, everything
- 19:41Speaker 2: was like a real redneck he'll billy kind of issue.
- 19:43Speaker 2: I guess he was trying to counter his image and
- 19:46Speaker 2: then he went too far in that everything's too far
- 19:48Speaker 2: to the right, to redneck, to out there. You're right,
- 19:52Speaker 2: he's totally out there. I mean, you know, Fox didn't
- 19:54Speaker 2: want to deal with his uh the blowback from him anymore.
- 19:58Speaker 8: And well, thank you very much.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Time is a lot of these people don't work for
- 20:03Speaker 2: anybody anymore. You know, they used to be on a
- 20:04Speaker 2: network and now they're doing their own podcast, their own show,
- 20:07Speaker 2: so it's just them, like from their bedroom, so there's
- 20:10Speaker 2: nobody regulating it, there's no editorial anything, and they just
- 20:14Speaker 2: go too far sometimes. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave,
- 20:17Speaker 2: how you.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Doing, Good morning, Mark?
- 20:19Speaker 7: I'm doing very well. Thank you. I caught you the
- 20:22Speaker 7: other night on.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Cudlow with oh you got a TV now look at that.
- 20:26Speaker 7: Yes, sir, And interesting thing, I'm seeing a parallel.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Now.
- 20:31Speaker 7: You discussed that Kamala Harris is on a pointless book tour.
- 20:35Speaker 7: Now she had been quoted as saying, not on that
- 20:39Speaker 7: particular show that you were on, that she will see
- 20:43Speaker 7: a woman president and it could be her. And lastly, Mark,
- 20:47Speaker 7: do you recall when Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump?
- 20:50Speaker 7: She too wrote a book called What Happened?
- 20:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good point. Yeah, you're right. These washed
- 20:57Speaker 2: up people that just fail, they do right, these crazy books.
- 21:00Speaker 2: But when you kind of wiped out politically, that's your
- 21:03Speaker 2: income writing a book. Let's go to Jimmy new Milford. Jimmy,
- 21:07Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 21:09Speaker 7: Hey, good morning, Mark?
- 21:11Speaker 2: How are you good?
- 21:14Speaker 6: The regional calling why can't the airlines.
- 21:17Speaker 7: Shipping and paying you a traffic controllers?
- 21:21Speaker 2: Uh, well, we could argue that they're very cheap and
- 21:24Speaker 2: all that But on the other hand, airline business is
- 21:27Speaker 2: the worst business in the world you can be in.
- 21:30Speaker 2: They don't make a lot of money these airlines. You know,
- 21:32Speaker 2: you see these big, enormous airlines, you think, wow, they
- 21:34Speaker 2: must have been making bilding the margin. The profit margin
- 21:37Speaker 2: is so tight. You know, they've had to lower the
- 21:39Speaker 2: cost that they just don't make. There's not a lot
- 21:41Speaker 2: of money in the airline business. Why you see these
- 21:42Speaker 2: airlines go broke all the time. It's the worst business
- 21:45Speaker 2: you can be in. Hey, Steve Moore is away this week.
- 21:49Speaker 2: At least he told us ahead of time this time.
- 21:51Speaker 2: But oh, when we come back How We Car? We
- 21:54Speaker 2: love How We Car. We'll talk to him next about mom, Donnie,
- 21:57Speaker 2: about everything else coming up on set.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Or welcome back to the Mark Simon Show.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Well one of the greatest talk show hosts in America,
- 22:10Speaker 2: Howie Carr also a best selling author. You love his
- 22:12Speaker 2: books and you can hear his show. If podcast is
- 22:15Speaker 2: on iHeart you can get his book. His latest book
- 22:18Speaker 2: is Mass Corruption. It's on Amazon, or you can get
- 22:21Speaker 2: everything at Howiecarshow dot com, howiecarshow dot com, Howie Carr,
- 22:26Speaker 2: how you doing very good?
- 22:28Speaker 1: I'll be sending you out a book. I asked Chris
- 22:31Speaker 1: to give me your address again and I'll send you
- 22:33Speaker 1: a book today. And we were waiting for Amazon to
- 22:36Speaker 1: put us on. They're still kind of, you know, dragging
- 22:40Speaker 1: their feet, but we should be on in a day
- 22:42Speaker 1: or two. But go to howiecarshow dot com and click
- 22:44Speaker 1: on the store and get it right now. It'll go
- 22:46Speaker 1: out this afternoon.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Mass corruption. Hey, get some of his other books too.
- 22:49Speaker 2: You'll love all his books. Hey, give us some advice.
- 22:53Speaker 2: We got this mom, Donnie on track according to every
- 22:56Speaker 2: poll to win. You're in Boston. You've had crazy socialist
- 23:00Speaker 2: left wing kook mayers. What do we do? How will
- 23:02Speaker 2: we get through it?
- 23:04Speaker 1: I don't know. I called up my daughter in the
- 23:06Speaker 1: West Village last weekend and I said something to her
- 23:10Speaker 1: that I never thought i'd say to anybody, let alone
- 23:12Speaker 1: a child of mine, And I said, you got to
- 23:14Speaker 1: get out and vote for Cuomo. I know you disagree, Mark,
- 23:19Speaker 1: I know you're still a sleewa guy, but you got
- 23:23Speaker 1: to pick the lesser of two evils in my opinion.
- 23:25Speaker 1: And I finally convinced her, you know, I said, it's
- 23:29Speaker 1: better for It's It's just I don't know there's no alternative.
- 23:33Speaker 1: It's not like a better or worse. It's just I
- 23:35Speaker 1: don't think you have an alternative, do you.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Yeah? The problem is two things should have happened. One
- 23:40Speaker 2: from the beginning, it should have been Cuomo get out,
- 23:43Speaker 2: because in many of these polls, sleew What does better
- 23:45Speaker 2: against Mom Donnie than Cuomo does one to one. And
- 23:49Speaker 2: those big donors didn't come in with the super packs
- 23:52Speaker 2: and the negative ads to kill Mom Donnie's favorability. They
- 23:55Speaker 2: didn't do it. They were afraid. So but what do
- 23:59Speaker 2: we do?
- 23:59Speaker 1: We heard I heard Sleewell yesterday on w o R
- 24:03Speaker 1: after on Clay and Buck Show, and he, I mean,
- 24:06Speaker 1: he didn't he didn't present himself very well. I didn't think.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Did you hear him on there?
- 24:12Speaker 2: No, I didn't get to hear it, but.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Kind of unhinged, you know, and and you know, I
- 24:16Speaker 1: know he's tolbadly. He said, you know, I you know,
- 24:18Speaker 1: I love animals and all this, you know all this.
- 24:21Speaker 1: And I said, you know, I thought to myself, this
- 24:23Speaker 1: is a good you know, Okay, you love animals. That's great,
- 24:27Speaker 1: that's wonderful. You offered ten million bucks. You know who
- 24:30Speaker 1: offered him ten million Bucks. Has he ever said that
- 24:32Speaker 1: who offered him the money?
- 24:34Speaker 2: No, but I know there's a few billionaires that have
- 24:37Speaker 2: offered him a lot to get out. And you know
- 24:41Speaker 2: thisiced Eric Adams, I will never endorse Cuomo. Next day,
- 24:43Speaker 2: I'm endorsing Cuomo. So that money's been floating around out
- 24:46Speaker 2: there on behalf of Cuomo.
- 24:49Speaker 1: But he is the mother's milk of politics and old saying.
- 24:54Speaker 1: But it's as true now as ever.
- 24:56Speaker 2: All right, but if we get mom, Donnie, you've been
- 24:58Speaker 2: through this in Boston, what will happen up? And how
- 25:00Speaker 2: will we get through this?
- 25:03Speaker 1: I you know, I I think that you know, it's
- 25:06Speaker 1: it's it's like what was it Hemingway said about bankruptcy.
- 25:12Speaker 1: It happens, It happens gradually at first, and then suddenly
- 25:15Speaker 1: I think, I think, you know, you'll start to see
- 25:17Speaker 1: more and more people fleeing. You know that now that
- 25:20Speaker 1: they think. First they start in the Connecticut papers. Now
- 25:23Speaker 1: they're in the New York papers about you know, there's
- 25:25Speaker 1: this run on real estate in Fairfield, and and you know,
- 25:29Speaker 1: and and uh local and Governor Desantus that both said
- 25:33Speaker 1: that you know, they're going to get that this is
- 25:36Speaker 1: going to be great for Palm Beach real estate. I
- 25:38Speaker 1: own this condo in West Palm and this in my
- 25:41Speaker 1: other place, and I take it. I put it on
- 25:43Speaker 1: the rental market in the you know, when I don't
- 25:45Speaker 1: need it in the summer, for my for my people
- 25:48Speaker 1: down here, and so then in in at the end
- 25:52Speaker 1: of October, I take it off the market, off the
- 25:54Speaker 1: rental sale market. And so usually I get like two
- 25:57Speaker 1: or three calls when I take it off the rental market.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I took it off last week and I've been I've
- 26:03Speaker 1: just been deluged with calls, texts, emails. I mean, people
- 26:08Speaker 1: are people are assuming that Mambani has won, and they're
- 26:11Speaker 1: just looking for more, uh uh more more real estate
- 26:16Speaker 1: to put on the market. You know, as soon as
- 26:18Speaker 1: this happens, I mean you could.
- 26:19Speaker 8: You can.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I mean, I just see it in my own personal life.
- 26:22Speaker 1: You know how many people want to you know, want
- 26:24Speaker 1: to sell my little condo in West Palm, which is downtown.
- 26:29Speaker 1: It's I mean, I just say, I think there's gonna
- 26:30Speaker 1: be like a gigantic exodus of people out, don't.
- 26:34Speaker 2: You No, I don't know, you can. It's New York.
- 26:37Speaker 2: We had we had it happen with Cuomo he was
- 26:39Speaker 2: the worst governor. So many people left New York that
- 26:42Speaker 2: we lost four congressional seats as a result of Cuomo.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Right. I remember I used to fill in for you
- 26:47Speaker 1: sometimes and I and half the calls would be from Florida.
- 26:51Speaker 1: I remember that. Oh it's gonna be It's gonna be
- 26:55Speaker 1: on steroids. Now, come on.
- 26:59Speaker 2: But Clomo's just as bad. He gets afraid of the
- 27:01Speaker 2: left wing, he goes crazy left. He gave us no bail,
- 27:03Speaker 2: no jail, he closed the prisons. What do we want
- 27:06Speaker 2: him for?
- 27:10Speaker 1: You know, you know the devil you know is better
- 27:13Speaker 1: than the devil you don't know. I mean, I'm using
- 27:15Speaker 1: all the old clichies here today, But you know, I mean,
- 27:18Speaker 1: like I said, I never thought I would tell my
- 27:20Speaker 1: daughter or anybody else to vote for Cuomo. But I mean,
- 27:23Speaker 1: what are you going to? I mean, this guy, this
- 27:26Speaker 1: guy thinks that his father thinks that Abraham Lincoln was
- 27:30Speaker 1: the prototype for the Nazis. Well, why are they over here?
- 27:34Speaker 1: They really believe this, you know, why did they move here?
- 27:38Speaker 1: I'm with this guy, Randy Fying, the new congressman from Florida.
- 27:41Speaker 1: It took Waltz's place. He wants to he wants an
- 27:46Speaker 1: investigation as to whether any kind of immigration fraud was
- 27:49Speaker 1: committed by any of these people. Io ann Omar, Mom, Donnie,
- 27:53Speaker 1: we got a couple of naturalized citizens politicians in Massachusetts
- 27:57Speaker 1: that are currently doing bids in federal prison, and I
- 28:00Speaker 1: want to get them the hell out.
- 28:01Speaker 2: I'm really well, So you got a couple of things
- 28:06Speaker 2: that could happen. One, they could get him on that
- 28:09Speaker 2: immigration stuff. But they're also looking at foreign money that's
- 28:12Speaker 2: coming to his campaign. There's already a criminal referral. It's
- 28:14Speaker 2: a long shot, right they could.
- 28:16Speaker 1: That's yeah, I mean that's like short, I mean that's
- 28:17Speaker 1: short money. I mean he's given some of it back.
- 28:19Speaker 1: It's under ten thousand.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Now that's a question, right, yeah, but they may find more.
- 28:24Speaker 2: You never know, and even after he wins the election,
- 28:27Speaker 2: they can take him out if they find it. Also
- 28:30Speaker 2: got a couple of people in the Justice Department said
- 28:32Speaker 2: they'll watch his every move. If he does anything anti
- 28:35Speaker 2: Semitic or any they'll arrest him on a hate crime.
- 28:39Speaker 2: But again, this is a long shot. So but we
- 28:43Speaker 2: got to we got to eight years of build a Blasio.
- 28:45Speaker 2: We can get through this, can't we.
- 28:49Speaker 1: But you know, as bad as Bill de Blasio is,
- 28:53Speaker 1: he was an American, you know he was. He went
- 28:56Speaker 1: to Cambridge Rinche in Latin. I used to be able
- 28:59Speaker 1: to spit on it high school from where I lived,
- 29:01Speaker 1: you know, I mean he was, he was a local communist.
- 29:05Speaker 1: You know this is he's only been a citizen since
- 29:09Speaker 1: twenty nineteen.
- 29:12Speaker 2: How did this happen? Well, you know how it happened
- 29:14Speaker 2: because the CUOMO. If we had somebody else in the primary,
- 29:16Speaker 2: know what happened.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Is nobody voted. That's the problem, you know, I mean
- 29:20Speaker 1: people people have just like gotten into Oh I voted
- 29:22Speaker 1: in the presidential election, that's the only one that matters.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I mean, that is just such a such a shortsighted
- 29:29Speaker 1: view of your civic responsibility. People got to get out
- 29:33Speaker 1: and vote. I mean, I know my kids, my daughter
- 29:36Speaker 1: and their boyfriend, they didn't vote in any of these
- 29:38Speaker 1: primary any other primaries. They you know, That's why I
- 29:41Speaker 1: had to, you know, keep asking them over and over
- 29:43Speaker 1: again to get out and vote. And I think I
- 29:46Speaker 1: finally convinced him. But how many people do you know?
- 29:48Speaker 1: They didn't vote?
- 29:49Speaker 2: A lot?
- 29:50Speaker 1: Not that you're not that you had a big choice,
- 29:52Speaker 1: right Yea? We demote man Bani. But I mean, you know,
- 29:58Speaker 1: you just you have to make the best of it.
- 30:02Speaker 1: We don't live in a perfect society.
- 30:05Speaker 2: You can say that again. We want. We're out of time.
- 30:09Speaker 2: But everybody get Howie Carr's new book. It's called Mass Corruption.

- 30:30Speaker 1: Twitter and YouTube and hit with these loft fair subpoenas.
- 30:35Speaker 1: But I don't know what the hell's going on. But
- 30:37Speaker 1: we'll be on in a couple of days and on
