- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody you
- 0:06Speaker 1: are listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 0:09Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, man
- 0:13Speaker 1: or man? Almost forgot I had one this morning. But
- 0:17Speaker 1: I'm okay. I'll tell you who I am in a
- 0:19Speaker 1: little bit. You know, I get around. Man, it's so much.
- 0:22Speaker 1: But man, good morning everybody. You know today. I was
- 0:27Speaker 1: having a conversation with my wife last night and we
- 0:31Speaker 1: were talking about our plans. You know, we often sit down,
- 0:36Speaker 1: you know, just like a married couple. I mean, you know,
- 0:38Speaker 1: you know we're married. You know, we have children, we
- 0:40Speaker 1: have aspirations, we have hopes, we I mean know, we
- 0:44Speaker 1: have things we want. You know, when you're married, you know,
- 0:47Speaker 1: I mean, it's important to sit with your partner. I'm
- 0:49Speaker 1: not telling you anything, you don't know. It's common sense. Really,
- 0:53Speaker 1: It's important to sit down with the person that you've
- 0:56Speaker 1: chosen and decided to share your life with it and
- 0:59Speaker 1: have multiple conversations on a lot of things. And we
- 1:02Speaker 1: try to make sure that all of our conversations aren't
- 1:06Speaker 1: always just business related and always kid related, you know,
- 1:11Speaker 1: because that that that becomes it's a part of it.
- 1:15Speaker 1: But it weighs so much on the marriage that because
- 1:20Speaker 1: that's the grunt work of being married. You know, your children,
- 1:23Speaker 1: your family, your bills, your your mortgage, your your car notes,
- 1:28Speaker 1: you know the what's due, what's coming up, and if
- 1:33Speaker 1: you're not careful, you'll you'll start that becomes the focal
- 1:37Speaker 1: point of you all's conversation. And this woman or man
- 1:42Speaker 1: or person that you've decided to have this life with,
- 1:44Speaker 1: all of a sudden, they're an extension of your business,
- 1:49Speaker 1: and you guys become business partners or whatever, and it
- 1:54Speaker 1: just gets so anyway, I'm just saying that that is
- 1:56Speaker 1: important to sit down and have these conversations, but it's
- 2:00Speaker 1: even more important to have the other conversation. You know,
- 2:04Speaker 1: it's important with the person that you're planning on making
- 2:07Speaker 1: the run with to sit down and talk about other things,
- 2:10Speaker 1: you know, on a more upbeat note. You know, we
- 2:14Speaker 1: were having a conversation and she was reminding me of
- 2:18Speaker 1: what she loved about me, and then I, in turn
- 2:22Speaker 1: was turning around telling her the things that I admired
- 2:25Speaker 1: about her and loved about her. And we kind of
- 2:28Speaker 1: have these all the time, you know, when we sit
- 2:31Speaker 1: down and we talk about the things that we still
- 2:35Speaker 1: enjoy about one another, or we may talk about some
- 2:38Speaker 1: of the things that we miss in one another. But
- 2:40Speaker 1: we constantly have these conversations about appreciation. You know, it's
- 2:45Speaker 1: so important, man, that the other person feels appreciated. So
- 2:50Speaker 1: these things important. But we got into the conversation deeper
- 2:53Speaker 1: last night, and I was telling her about this idea
- 2:57Speaker 1: that I had and that I wanted her to help
- 3:00Speaker 1: me with it and make a phone call for me
- 3:02Speaker 1: because she knows these people. And I was going to
- 3:05Speaker 1: be doing this, and then my wife reminded me of something,
- 3:09Speaker 1: not once again, you know, as always, you know, when
- 3:12Speaker 1: I'm talking to you, I just keep it as real
- 3:14Speaker 1: as I can. I don't know the Bible inside out.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I can't quote to you scriptures and tell you exactly
- 3:20Speaker 1: where it is. I just you know, I heard her
- 3:23Speaker 1: say it, but it kind of blew by me. I was.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I was telling her about something I wanted to make happen,
- 3:29Speaker 1: and she reminded me that there's a scripture somewhere, and
- 3:33Speaker 1: somebody emailed it to me today. I'm sure. Well, the
- 3:36Speaker 1: Bible reminds us not to be anxious for anything. Don't
- 3:40Speaker 1: be anxious for something, and you know, It really mattered
- 3:45Speaker 1: to me at that point yesterday that she brought this
- 3:47Speaker 1: to my attention, because how many times I've been guilty
- 3:51Speaker 1: of that in my past and I've learned better now,
- 3:54Speaker 1: but every now and then I need to be reminded,
- 3:57Speaker 1: you know, And I think what that what she was
- 4:00Speaker 1: saying to me was, you know, I've gotten to a
- 4:03Speaker 1: point in my life, and we all should get to
- 4:06Speaker 1: a point where. You know, you've heard old people say this,
- 4:10Speaker 1: If you're gonna pray about something, then don't worry about it,
- 4:13Speaker 1: And if you're gonna worry about it, don't pray about it.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Back to this, be anxious for nothing, don't If you're
- 4:21Speaker 1: going to trust in God, didn't do that, And trusting
- 4:26Speaker 1: in him means sometimes you got to be patient. God
- 4:31Speaker 1: has never been too late. You don't know the plan
- 4:35Speaker 1: he has, You don't know. You don't really always know
- 4:38Speaker 1: his will. You definitely don't know his route, his way
- 4:42Speaker 1: of doing anything. So he's always on time. He's always
- 4:46Speaker 1: been there on time for me, He's always been there
- 4:49Speaker 1: on time for you. How many times have you thought
- 4:52Speaker 1: it was over only to find out it's really just begun.
- 4:57Speaker 1: How many times have people wrote you all off. There
- 5:01Speaker 1: are those of you who have lost jobs, but you
- 5:05Speaker 1: are still maintaining. But man, God has already began to
- 5:10Speaker 1: turn around process for many of us. Some of us
- 5:14Speaker 1: lost jobs and now have better jobs. Some of us
- 5:19Speaker 1: lost jobs and now has forced us to rekindle that
- 5:23Speaker 1: dream and that vision for business we had. Sometimes the
- 5:27Speaker 1: mishap is the thing you need to make something good happen.
- 5:32Speaker 1: See a lot of times we get so comfortable in
- 5:35Speaker 1: our life where we just we get complacent, We just
- 5:40Speaker 1: settled in and when this is it and this is
- 5:43Speaker 1: what I'm doing. But in actuality, God has a tremendous
- 5:47Speaker 1: amount of abundance for you. He has an amazing amount
- 5:50Speaker 1: of things. He has all these boxes packaged up with
- 5:54Speaker 1: your name on him that he's willing to ship if
- 5:57Speaker 1: you would just align yourself with some of his wills
- 6:01Speaker 1: so you could get some of these things. How many
- 6:03Speaker 1: times have you thought it was over and it didn't
- 6:06Speaker 1: really go over. How many times have you thought well,
- 6:10Speaker 1: this is it and it wasn't it at all? Well,
- 6:13Speaker 1: how many times have you thought, well, it don't look
- 6:15Speaker 1: like this gonna work out, and it didn't work out,
- 6:17Speaker 1: but then something better came along? How many times has
- 6:21Speaker 1: that happened. You've got to realize this. Man. I was
- 6:24Speaker 1: talking to a family who had got displaced from the
- 6:28Speaker 1: Katrina thing that happened down there in New Orleans. And man,
- 6:32Speaker 1: when they said, yeah, we got a displaced from Katrina,
- 6:35Speaker 1: and I braced myself because, oh woe is me. Here
- 6:38Speaker 1: comes this story. I gotta hear this, and I gotta
- 6:41Speaker 1: be encouraged and think of something. It was totally different.
- 6:43Speaker 1: They totally totally blew me away. Man. The brother said, Man,
- 6:49Speaker 1: is actually the best thing that ever happened to my family.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And I went whoa And he said, yeah, man, he said,
- 6:55Speaker 1: because what happened was he said, I got settled in,
- 6:59Speaker 1: He said, plum, I was doing some things outside of
- 7:03Speaker 1: my marriage down there, He said, I was doing some
- 7:05Speaker 1: stuff in the streets I ain't need to be doing.
- 7:07Speaker 1: He said, Man, it all got washed away. We thought
- 7:10Speaker 1: our life would never be the same. But he said, man,
- 7:12Speaker 1: my life ain't need to be the same. He said, Man.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Now we live up here in Texas. We got a house.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Don't know nobody, he said, I ain't got nobody I
- 7:22Speaker 1: know to get into trouble with. He said, Man, I
- 7:24Speaker 1: done rediscovered my wife how beautiful she really is, how
- 7:27Speaker 1: much my family really was counting on me, And he said, man,
- 7:30Speaker 1: it straightened me up. Man, he said, so, I gotta
- 7:33Speaker 1: tell you, Steve, it was the best thing that ever
- 7:35Speaker 1: happened to me. Now that's not always the case, but
- 7:39Speaker 1: it's how you look at a situation. But just don't
- 7:42Speaker 1: be anxious for anything, because God got a fix for
- 7:45Speaker 1: you if you just let him work. So just stay
- 7:48Speaker 1: on course, stay focused, don't lose faith, don't be anxious. Man,
- 7:53Speaker 1: just stay in the wheel. Let God work with you.
- 7:57Speaker 1: He got some great stuff in store for you. The
