San Francisco Zoo celebrates a rare win: four baby Chilean flamingos have hatched — the first successful brood in nearly a decade. With 41 adults in the flock, the zoo’s keepers spotted early signs of romance and nesting prep, including synchronized courtship dances and specially built mud cone nests. Both parents take turns incubating the eggs, and by July, chicks began emerging one by one.
