- 11:56Oh and and also the fortune teller she warned me to stay away. Well,
- 12:03you know, I had accidents of phony. She happens to be Wheels

- 14:00and come off on. I'll stand up. I'll wait a mind now you'll
- 14:03look up. In just a moment, we'll return to tonight's adventure of George
- 14:26Valentine. Which is the most important tire on your car? Right? The
- 14:31oldest and smoothest tire is the most important because that's the one that will probably
- 14:35cause trouble first. And that's one reason why it pays to have your tires
- 14:41checked regularly by car savers at standard stations and independent Chevron gas stations. Car
- 14:48savers are experts at making tires last longer. For instance, they recommend a
- 14:52scientific pattern of tire switching every three to five thousand miles, and that includes
- 14:56the spare two or it needs regular ser is to keep the rubber flexed and
- 15:01lively. Car savers also check your tires for cuts and bruises to be sure
- 15:05that they're safe and broad ready, and car savers don't overlook the importance of
- 15:09keeping your tires properly inflated. They inspect them regularly to be sure that the
- 15:15correct pressure is maintained. So if you want to be sure that all your
- 15:18tires are in good shape, drive in soon for free tire inspection by the
- 15:22car Savers at independent Chevern gas stations and standard stations, for tire switching at
- 15:28regular intervals, for new tires. For any kind of tire service, you
- 15:33can depend on car Savers. They'll help you get more and more miles out
- 15:37of your present tires. And it's just one of the many services available to
- 15:41Western motorists at independent Chevern gas stations and standard stations where they say and mean
- 15:48we take better care of your car. Now back to tonight's adventure. George
- 16:11Valentine. You're hired by Text Manners, the owner of an amusement zone called
- 16:17Starlight Pier, to try and discover the reason behind accidents that have been happening
- 16:21on his concessions. As a matter of fact, you've been involved in one
- 16:25of them yourself, as usual on a Friday. But on Thursday night,
- 16:30when you think you finally caught up with a sabataary, you find yourself not
- 16:33thinking at all. Your name is George Valentine, you suddenly come back to
- 16:37consciousness, flat on your back, decide the diving doll machinery with a voice
- 16:41coming closer and closer. Oh what's going on? Oh? Try any funny

- 17:14that? I was down to the pier on the rounds. I heard the
- 17:17noise back here? Are you wind right close by here at the time?
- 17:19What are you trying to say? By that? I'd better turn you over
- 17:22to mister Manners or the other way around. Give me that flash. I
- 17:26will not ask you. Well something I want to look at it now?
- 17:29Look here better? Yeah? Just what I thought? I saw? What

- 18:56must have heard the voice. Didn't you say anything? Not a word jump
- 18:59me, laid in one good sock to the button, and I was out

- 25:57am right, you better be ready to make a quick pinch. Just one
- 26:02thing to do first. You gotta pry up the window to resolve so we
- 26:04can hear what goes on inside. I told you I don't know the man
- 26:08it owns this place. That's right, but maybe he knows you gotta be
- 26:14a lover. You got any idea what time it is? Must be just
- 26:17about eight. We were delayed. It doesn't matter, Sorge. You didn't
- 26:19miss anything. Well, no, one just have to wait. You're sure
- 26:25you know how to play Detective Valentine. If that was a nasty crack,
- 26:29I'll disregard it, Serge. And he's coming in the door. Oh yeah,
- 26:33okay, get your ears close to the window and listen. Don't make
- 26:36any noise, come on, you know, yeah, okay, Now,
- 26:41what's on your mind? We don't like your coming here. You know,
- 26:45what do you mean, Matt? You sent for him? I sent for
- 26:48you. Sure, I got the note just lift under the box office door
- 26:51when I opened up the now away a minute. I didn't figure it with
- 26:53something about breaking the shoes tomorrow night. I got it all set up,
- 26:57match, just like you wanted, Hills. Yeah, I'm trying to tell
- 27:00you I didn't leave no note for you. What do I know? One
- 27:07thing for sure that Valentine's catching on and we got to play it fast and
- 27:10safe from now on. Switch the days you erect the shoots in the real
- 27:14y, sure man, and don't get caught two more accidents on the period.
- 27:18We'll have text manners out of fissures. I still get half ventus when
- 27:22you take over, right, they're playing games only we gotta play it small.
- 27:27Come on, ask explains the text. Well, be sure it does
- 27:33valent you got off from it might be arrest engine. Yeah, come on,
- 27:36text, we'll go around and take about the front off. We sure
- 27:37will come on around. Bella. Yeah, be right with you. That
- 27:41note m that's right. How did you know he was the word? I
- 27:45didn't you about it? Get those boys in custody, Brooks. Here's a
- 27:56reminder for new car owners. You RPM motor oil exceed all the requirements of
- 28:03car manufacturers who now recommend a heavy duty motor oil, and new RPM doubles
- 28:08engine life the time between major overhauls due to lubrication. Yes, even a
- 28:12cab company operating in the tough grind all cabs go through found new RPM reduced
- 28:18engine ware seventy one. So for top protection for your engine, get new
- 28:23RPM motor oil at any independent Chevern gas station or standard station where they say
- 28:30and mean, we take better care of your car. But George, if
- 28:44you didn't know it was school, McCain was wreaking the right straight show up.
- 28:48I didn't know hood show up. I didn't take a chance. What
- 28:49do you mean I left the same note at every concession. Yeah, I
- 28:53just added up Arkansas and Arkansas and an accomplice on the pier. Then all
- 28:59I had to do was wait for someone to show his hand. It just
- 29:02happened to be Wheels when the snap fowler just wanted to put Text out of
- 29:04business, though he could take over the pier. Oh, it was a
- 29:07little more than that. Text didn't know it, but he'd put follows kind
- 29:10of a lot of business. When he set up back in Arkansas, Wheels
- 29:12told the sergeant, Oh, well, anywriter both off for jail, and
- 29:18we've still got a hole in ahead of her. Now that's right, Angel,
- 29:21I thought, I figured we go back to Starlight Pier. Oh,
- 29:23that would be fun, right in the tunnel of Lave the Fellows wheel,
- 29:30Oh, George. The Night's Adventure of George Valentine has been brought to you

- 30:27Listen again next week, same time, same station, or let George do
- 30:33It. Let George Do It, as heard overseas through the worldwide facilities of
- 30:41the Armed Forces Radio Service. This is the mutual Don Lee Broadcasting System.
- 31:02Welcome back. Seems like we've had a few carnivals show up in some recent
- 31:08episodes, but a good descent solution here we do. Now turn to listener
- 31:15comments and feedback. This one I got buried, so a little like getting
- 31:21to it, but Carmen or Cameron emails in. I just thought i'd point
- 31:27out a humorous coincidence on Let George Do It Episode seven sixty three, the
- 31:32common denominator. When the carnival owner is identifying photos of people he did time
- 31:37within seeing Quentin prisons, he identified one as Bill Gates. Guess that's the
- 31:41reason they put disclaimers and shows now seeing the names and people, etc.
- 31:45Are fictitious. Just thought listeners would like that one. Well, thanks so
- 31:49much, Cameron. And they did that even in films back then, didn't
- 31:55really do it on radio programs. It is interesting there are these times that
- 32:05things happen where a name that didn't mean a whole lot back then I later
- 32:10became a name that's very significant and well recognized in our time. One of
- 32:15my favorite examples of this is there's actually an episode of Yours Truly Johnny doll
- 32:21Are called the Jimmy Carter Manner. Of course, had nothing to do with
- 32:25the future President of the United States and at that point future governor of Georgia.
- 32:30But it's interesting how character names can take on some significance that the writer
- 32:38never intended. AHH Girl ninety one leaves a review despite some complaints from Adam,
- 32:45I absolutely love the mixture of comedy and mystery. Sometimes the murder mysteries
- 32:49and such can get a little ble through serious and bland, and this makes
- 32:52it fun and silly. Yet still the show is the detective category kind of
- 32:55reminds me of radio version of Magnum p I because of because of his humor.
- 33:05That's an interesting comparison, probably makes more sense than the other review we
- 33:12have on the Let George Do It Show compared it to CSI, I could
- 33:15kind of see magnum pium. But thanks so much for your comment. It's
- 33:21much appreciative. We love bringing you. This show. Will be back next
