- 0:00Sean McAllister: There's a fashion hound on the prowl at Win Las Vegas.
- 0:03Sean McAllister: We'll talk about that and other innovative technologies that you'll see at strip resorts during your next trip.
- 0:10Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 0:11Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed episode 42.
- 0:14Dayna Roselli: We've got an update also on a bunch of shows opening on the strip and an update on some hotels opening as well.
- 0:21Dayna Roselli: It's all coming up on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:42Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed.
- 0:43Sean McAllister: You know, all eyes have been on Las Vegas, really around the world, not for uh the entertainment reasons that we're used to, but for the election.
- 0:53Sean McAllister: Thanks for being here.
- 0:54Sean McAllister: I'm Sean McAllister along with Dana Roselli.
- 0:57Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 0:58Dayna Roselli: I mean, it may not be for entertainment, but it is entertaining, isn't it?
- 1:02Dayna Roselli: Uh yeah.
- 1:02Dayna Roselli: I mean, you know, this election here in the United States is, you know, gone past the actual election day.
- 1:09Dayna Roselli: And Nevada is one of the states that is still counting.
- 1:13Dayna Roselli: Listen, folks, it is a Friday that we're recording this.
- 1:15Dayna Roselli: We drop it on, you know, Saturday nights, but um, right now, we're still counting here in Nevada.
- 1:20Dayna Roselli: I called someplace, Sean, uh, to order something in another state, and they were like, what's going on in Nevada?
- 1:25Dayna Roselli: I thought you guys were a 24-hour town.
- 1:27Dayna Roselli: I was like, Yeah, uh, I know.
- 1:29Dayna Roselli: We're we're still counting votes.
- 1:31Sean McAllister: All the memes and the social media comments about the ballot counting in Nevada have been absolutely hilarious.
- 1:39Sean McAllister: It's like an endless stream of uh really funny stuff.
- 1:45Sean McAllister: People saying that uh, you know, saying poll workers, like in reference to strippers.
- 1:49Sean McAllister: Right.
- 1:50Sean McAllister: And that that we have plenty of those, but but not enough to actually count ballots.
- 1:55Dayna Roselli: I know, boy.
- 1:56Dayna Roselli: It's been a uh crazy few days.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: And some of these memes and some of these things that you're talking about have kind of lightened the mood a little bit.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: Because, you know, people are anxious.
- 2:04Dayna Roselli: This is a huge election.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: Obviously, we see the turnout is is bigger than ever.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: So um, when you're listening to this uh during the week, you know, there may be some different kinds of decisions uh made, but you know, we'll have to see.
- 2:16Dayna Roselli: But we appreciate it's good.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: I don't know if it's good or bad advertising for Nevada, but you know, what do they say?
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: Any press is good press?
- 2:24Sean McAllister: Hey, it's been keeping Las Vegas top of mind for everybody around the world who's watching.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: It's so true.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: It's so true.
- 2:31Dayna Roselli: Um, last night I I set up my friend's Christmas tree, so that's where we are here in Las Vegas.
- 2:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, pushing right ahead.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: Anything to make people feel better, right?
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: We need to.
- 2:41Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 2:41Dayna Roselli: Listen, I went over to help decorate, but you know, it wasn't my idea, but we had a blast uh doing it, and people are like wanting to do anything to make themselves feel less anxious, feel happier, and just you know, kind of get over the hump of everything going on with the election and COVID and, you know, you know, people without jobs.
- 3:00Dayna Roselli: So anything positive.
- 3:01Sean McAllister: Well, I saw that there was a radio station, I think, up in uh Portland, Oregon, that is already playing 24-hour Christmas music.
- 3:11Sean McAllister: Already.
- 3:12Sean McAllister: Like we just past Halloween.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: As long as they don't play that Bruce Springsteen song, I cannot stand that Santa Claus is coming to town.
- 3:20Sean McAllister: Santa Claus is coming to town.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: I don't know why.
- 3:26Dayna Roselli: That is my one song that I could not take at Christmas tree.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: I don't or Christmas time.
- 3:31Dayna Roselli: I don't know why.
- 3:32Dayna Roselli: It just annoys me.
- 3:34Sean McAllister: A lot of Christmas songs.
- 3:36Sean McAllister: I I it it takes me back to my my teenage years because I worked at a hardware store back in Western New York, Chase Pickin.
- 3:46Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, Chase Pickin.
- 3:48Sean McAllister: So that was my seasonal job, and I always worked there during the holidays, and I had to stock all the seasonal stuff in the garden department.
- 3:58Sean McAllister: And once that Christmas music started, it was on a loop, and you would hear the same songs every day, over and over.
- 4:07Sean McAllister: And so I I feel like I've had my fill of Christmas music.
- 4:11Sean McAllister: Although sometimes it still does get me in the holiday cheer.
- 4:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I know.
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: It's just that that Bruce Springsteen one, it starts off all weird, and I don't know.
- 4:19Dayna Roselli: It just always anyway.
- 4:22Dayna Roselli: I love that you worked at a hardware store during the holiday season.
- 4:25Dayna Roselli: That's cool.
- 4:26Dayna Roselli: Um, some updates in Las Vegas.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: We got some news uh that the Rio could possibly be opening, and I guess that's a big deal because we all wondered was the Rio ever gonna open or just remain closed and get like you know, imploded or something.
- 4:40Sean McAllister: Right.
- 4:40Sean McAllister: Well, the the final resort on the Las Vegas strip just recently opened, the Cromwell, which we saw on the CBS series Love Island over this whole quarantine period, yeah.
- 4:53Sean McAllister: Um, and so uh we've been wondering, you know, just sitting off the strip are the Rio, and across the street from that is the Palms.
- 5:02Sean McAllister: And that's been the big question.
- 5:04Sean McAllister: Are those two resorts just gonna sit there empty?
- 5:07Sean McAllister: And so finally we have gotten word that by the end of the year uh the Rio is supposed to reopen.
- 5:14Sean McAllister: Of course, the Rio is home to to Penn and Teller, they've had their show over at the Rio for decades.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I've gone to that a couple times, but you know what show I've gone to many, many, many times at the Rio?
- 5:26Sean McAllister: Chippendales.
- 5:28Dayna Roselli: Chippendales.
- 5:29Dayna Roselli: When I think of the Rio, I think of Chippendales automatically.
- 5:32Dayna Roselli: I don't know what it is.
- 5:32Dayna Roselli: How did that skip my mind?
- 5:34Dayna Roselli: I don't know, but you park right at the bottom, you go up the elevator, over the bridge, and there's the Chippendales showroom.
- 5:40Sean McAllister: Then after the show, you go next door for a burger.
- 5:42Dayna Roselli: Yes, that burger place is key.
- 5:44Dayna Roselli: It's changed.
- 5:44Dayna Roselli: It used to be what, Burger King?
- 5:45Dayna Roselli: It was a Burger King, yeah.
- 5:47Dayna Roselli: It was a good Burger King.
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: It was, and then it changed to something else.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: I can't think of what it is now or was or anything.
- 5:52Dayna Roselli: Anyway, um, yeah, we're happy to see that you know the Rio may possibly open at the end of the year.
- 5:57Dayna Roselli: We don't know, that's what they're projecting, but um it's there, and if they can get people in there and spending money, we'll take it.
- 6:04Sean McAllister: Well, and and that is the key.
- 6:05Sean McAllister: If the people can get there and spend money, and that is the thing that apparently MGM Resorts is is dealing with.
- 6:13Sean McAllister: MGM Resorts, the the parent company of a lot of the big casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, and one of them, Park MGM, has just announced that uh that's going to be closed midweek.
- 6:26Sean McAllister: So uh they'll only be open on uh and I believe this is for hotel business.
- 6:34Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 6:34Dayna Roselli: Uh most of them have just been, if they've done this, it's been the hotel rooms, but they keep the casino open.
- 6:39Sean McAllister: Right.
- 6:39Sean McAllister: So Park MGM is uh going to be down uh midweek, and um you know, there for visitors on the weekends, which is when we have seen an uptick in visitor traffic over the past few months since Vegas is has reopened.
- 6:57Sean McAllister: Um but you know, you will still be able to go to the casino during the week, but it's you can't stay there during the week.
- 7:05Dayna Roselli: And they're saying it'll go right now, it just plans through December.
- 7:08Dayna Roselli: They're saying the holiday season.
- 7:10Dayna Roselli: So, you know, hopefully after that, and once foot traffic starts to pick up again midweek, then they'll be able to reopen.
- 7:16Dayna Roselli: But Encore did something similar, you know, they kept the win tower rooms open, but then the Encore, I believe the Palazzo at one point, and so now uh Park MGM deciding to do that as well.
- 7:27Dayna Roselli: But you know, at least the casino will be open, it's still open, and and you know, business is still strolling in.
- 7:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, and as we've been talking about over the the past couple weeks, we have seen more entertainment offerings opening back up on the Las Vegas strip.
- 7:42Sean McAllister: Lorraine Peril, one of our friends, the the headliner of Fantasy over at the Luxor.
- 7:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:50Sean McAllister: And they're back on stage.
- 7:52Sean McAllister: I've been watching her uh Instagram and going through rehearsals and they're back, uh, but in a bigger venue, uh very socially distant.
- 8:02Sean McAllister: But it's good to see our performers back up on stage.
- 8:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I talked to her about uh doing an interview on the podcast, and she's just been so she's been so slammed with rehearsals, and I said, gosh, it must be a lot to like get back in.
- 8:13Dayna Roselli: And she's like, and she texted me back, she's like, Girl, my body's killing me.
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: I'm like, Yeah, I bet, you know, it's it's it's crazy when we're not used to doing that intense exercise, or for the in the in the case of this, you know, these shows that they do, dancing around and all that.
- 8:28Sean McAllister: That's so funny.
- 8:30Sean McAllister: So uh fantasy is back.
- 8:32Sean McAllister: Also, uh the Jabbawockies over at MGM Grand.
- 8:36Sean McAllister: We mentioned this, I think, two or three episodes ago here on Vegas revealed that they would be moving into MGM Grand Garden Arena.
- 8:43Dayna Roselli: Amazing.
- 8:44Sean McAllister: And so that show, uh, there I believe there was a preview performance just the other night.
- 8:48Sean McAllister: So they'll be welcoming audiences back in over there and Brad Garrett's comedy club.
- 8:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and they're doing that in a ballroom or in a couple ballrooms to kind of spread it out.
- 8:57Dayna Roselli: Um Carrot Top's back, and he also is it, I think, in the same theater that Fantasy is.
- 9:02Dayna Roselli: So they used to be in that little, I think it's called the Atrium Theater, and now they're in the big theater at Luxor.
- 9:06Dayna Roselli: So him too, he was getting all his props spread out and and ready to roll and happy to be back on stage.
- 9:12Dayna Roselli: I saw him on Instagram talking about that.
- 9:14Dayna Roselli: That MJ Live show opened up too at the Stratosphere.
- 9:17Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: So that's a pretty big showroom.
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: So um they're happy to be back.
- 9:21Dayna Roselli: And I think I even just got a release the other day saying they had to add a couple shows because it's been pretty busy.
- 9:26Sean McAllister: Well, that I mean, that's incredible because if you've been here to Las Vegas since the town has reopened, but before entertainment got back into the swing of things, there wasn't a ton to do.
- 9:42Sean McAllister: If you're if you're not a a huge gambler, which I mean as much as the casinos would like you to, you can't just be gambling 24-7 while you're here.
- 9:50Sean McAllister: Right.
- 9:50Sean McAllister: You know, entertainment it definitely is helping to to bring a a sense of normalcy back to the strip.
- 9:58Sean McAllister: And now we just need a lot more to open up across the board.
- 10:03Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 10:03Dayna Roselli: No, I know.
- 10:04Dayna Roselli: It's it's step by step, but we are definitely moving forward, which is great.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: And um, one more show, Absinthe, opened up as well.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: I saw a lot of folks go to that.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: I haven't been yet, but it looked like it went over really well.
- 10:15Dayna Roselli: They've been planning for their socially distance, you know, I don't know what you call it, a circus tent, but tent.
- 10:20Dayna Roselli: The absolute.
- 10:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah, kind of a circus tent for a while now.
- 10:24Sean McAllister: So um, yeah, very strategic for them to to space things out inside that tent and because it was very close quarters.
- 10:32Sean McAllister: It was before you were like right up in the performer's like junk, pretty much.
- 10:38Dayna Roselli: You looked up, yeah.
- 10:39Dayna Roselli: You never depended what act it was, but some really talented people in that show.
- 10:44Dayna Roselli: So I'm glad that they're able to move forward.
- 10:47Dayna Roselli: Um, we're gonna talk technology though, coming up in our in our next segment.
- 10:50Dayna Roselli: We've got an interview with uh someone from Red Rock, which is a station casino, which is one of our really, really beautiful and very popular off-strip hotel resorts in Summerlin.
- 11:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, and uh we'll hear what what they're doing on the gaming front, technology-wise, to adapt to the new normal, plus uh some interesting robotic creatures you may encounter during your next trip to Vegas.
- 11:14Sean McAllister: We'll be back after that.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: Thanks for listening to Vegas Revealed.
- 11:23Dayna Roselli: Remember, you can always go to our website at Vegas-Revealed.com.
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: There we have tons of videos, content, ways you can listen, and also an email, ideas at Vegas Dash Revealed.com.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: You can throw us a note and let us know what you'd like us to talk about.
- 11:42Sean McAllister: Welcome back to Vegas Revealed.
- 11:43Sean McAllister: You know, Dana, a couple weeks ago, uh my husband Shane and I stayed at the downtown grand in downtown Las Vegas.
- 11:52Sean McAllister: We stayed there uh for the big circa Las Vegas opening.
- 11:55Sean McAllister: Right.
- 11:56Sean McAllister: But w I was surprised at the new technology that they've implemented since we were last there, which really was almost a year ago.
- 12:04Sean McAllister: We got married at the downtown grand.
- 12:06Sean McAllister: Right.
- 12:07Sean McAllister: So it was our first time uh a first big stay at the downtown grand since then.
- 12:13Sean McAllister: And one of the things that I thought was so cool is that when we walked in the room, they had uh one of those QR codes that was up on the TV.
- 12:22Sean McAllister: And when you scanned it with your phone, it turned your smartphone into the remote control for the TV.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: Oh, that's great.
- 12:31Sean McAllister: Because you know how there's all these reports that say that the the remote control in a hotel room is one of the filthiest things that you can touch.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, I never even thought of that.
- 12:40Sean McAllister: I know, and I thought that was so smart that they uh put that technology to use in such a great way.
- 12:47Sean McAllister: And then, you know, on there, you can usually check your um like your receipt and your your your folio for the the stay at a resort on the in-room TV.
- 12:59Sean McAllister: But they've uh greatly expanded all the features that they have available to use on on the TV, but also with a downtown grant, they have an app that kind of acts as your personal concierge during your stay.
- 13:13Sean McAllister: So it's only uh available to you from check-in to check out, but it gives you all sorts of access to uh food options and any questions you might have about the resort or or things that are around the property.
- 13:29Sean McAllister: So I thought that was really cool and a good use of new technology in this new, you know, post-COVID.
- 13:36Sean McAllister: Well, I guess we're still in COVID, but you know, in this new era of, you know, health-minded living.
- 13:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean you you know, then you only have to touch your stuff, which is great, you know.
- 13:47Dayna Roselli: We we feel a little bit safer that way.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: So great, great thing that they did over there.
- 13:51Dayna Roselli: Something that I saw uh and you saw, which is getting a lot of attention online, is this fashion hound at the Wynn Plaza shops.
- 13:59Dayna Roselli: It's like this robotic dog that um gives fashion advice, apparently, or something like that, or lets you know where to go, maybe to shop.
- 14:07Dayna Roselli: Um, I'm not sure exactly what he does, but we did um, you know, call over there and write over there and try and get some information, and they say he's still in the the test stages at this point.
- 14:17Dayna Roselli: So they're working on on that, getting more testing, how you know what elements they want to add and all that kind of thing, but they're getting a great response, but it looks hilarious.
- 14:27Dayna Roselli: And another thing, we just need like things that we can walk around and they're it's like a new attraction, you know?
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: You're like, oh let's go see the fashion hound.
- 14:34Sean McAllister: Yeah, and uh there's a really funny video of this fashion hound walking around in the the wind plaza.
- 14:41Sean McAllister: We'll put that up on our uh Vegas Revealed Instagram page, but it does look like it's like this robotic dog and it has fur on it, right?
- 14:50Sean McAllister: But then it just has almost an iPad for a face.
- 14:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it does.
- 14:54Dayna Roselli: It's it's funny looking, but it's I like it.
- 14:57Dayna Roselli: I was thinking an idea.
- 14:58Dayna Roselli: If I were them, I would have like the Joan Rivers voice come out, maybe.
- 15:01Dayna Roselli: But then it would like pick people out, like, what are you wearing?
- 15:04Dayna Roselli: You know what I mean?
- 15:05Dayna Roselli: Like, oh, that looks awful.
- 15:07Sean McAllister: That's so funny.
- 15:09Sean McAllister: I don't know if it's there to critique guest fashion.
- 15:12Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 15:13Dayna Roselli: But that would be my idea because I think it would be much more funny.
- 15:16Dayna Roselli: They could be like critique fashion and then tell them what store to go to.
- 15:19Dayna Roselli: You really could use a new bag.
- 15:21Dayna Roselli: That one's outdated, you should head over to Gucci.
- 15:24Sean McAllister: We might need to have a follow-up conversation with our friends over at the win.
- 15:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and my Joan Rivers voice is definitely not up there.
- 15:32Sean McAllister: That's just another example of how new technology is kind of taking over Las Vegas at uh MGM resorts.
- 15:39Sean McAllister: They're doing all uh mobile check-in as an option for guests so that you don't have to stand at the front desk at their properties and wait in line.
- 15:49Sean McAllister: Basically, what you do is when you make your reservation and on the day of check-in, you get uh an email that tells you to go to their app and um basically when your room is ready, you get notice and it turns your phone into your room key so you don't even interact with anybody anymore.
- 16:09Sean McAllister: Oh, I love that.
- 16:10Sean McAllister: It's all through the app.
- 16:11Sean McAllister: When you get in the elevator, you pull up the app, you get your you know, digital room key out, you hold it up to the thing so that you can punch the floor into the elevator, and the same thing when you get to your room, you just hold your phone up to the door and it unlocks the door for you.
- 16:26Dayna Roselli: I don't know how they do it, but it's not how gosh, our phones can do so much, it's insane, right?
- 16:31Sean McAllister: They really can.
- 16:32Sean McAllister: And then also on the phones, if you make a reservation for a show or a restaurant at MGM properties, uh, they're basically doing online check-in there.
- 16:46Sean McAllister: And so they'll tell you if it if you're waiting for a reservation at a restaurant, you'll you'll get a message that pops up on your phone when your table is ready, and then you just show up, they take you right to your table.
- 16:57Sean McAllister: Perfect.
- 16:57Sean McAllister: And the same thing for a show.
- 16:59Sean McAllister: When it's time for you to be seated, um you'll get a message and they walk you right in.
- 17:06Sean McAllister: So it really limits the time that you have to wait in line and be in close quarters with other people.
- 17:11Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, that's a great idea.
- 17:13Dayna Roselli: You know, good for them.
- 17:14Dayna Roselli: I was talking with uh we were talking with folks over at Caesars too, and they sent us some information.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: And what's becoming really popular there is this whole food at your fingertips program.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: And that is the same thing.
- 17:26Dayna Roselli: So basically, you know, if you want to order something and maybe you want to pick it up or you want it kind of sent to you, delivery available to guest rooms, the pool, the race, sportsbook, poker room, and casino, all that kind of thing, um, just for a little bit of a fee.
- 17:40Dayna Roselli: But what it helps is if some people don't want to sit and be planted around people inside of a restaurant, you can still order from the best restaurants, but pick it up.
- 17:49Dayna Roselli: And they're having a lot of success with that.
- 17:50Dayna Roselli: They offer it at Caesars Palace, Hera's, Paris, The Link, Planet Hollywood, and the Cromwell.
- 17:56Dayna Roselli: Um, so it's really cool because you can go through, look at all the menus, and then order from there.
- 18:01Dayna Roselli: So that's kind of something that's new, it's uh tech savvy, it's convenient, and you can still have the kind of world-class cuisine that you enjoy.
- 18:09Sean McAllister: Yeah, I actually tried that out over at the Cromwell.
- 18:12Sean McAllister: I was at the the sports book, and there's a uh a word, I forget what the word is, but you text it to a number.
- 18:19Sean McAllister: They have the little placards that are there on the table to tell you exactly how it works.
- 18:23Sean McAllister: And as soon as you text that, the menu pops up, you order, and a few minutes later there's food being delivered directly to you.
- 18:30Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 18:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I was reading, it says text Ivy.
- 18:33Dayna Roselli: Is it Ivy?
- 18:33Dayna Roselli: Yes, it's Ivy.
- 18:34Dayna Roselli: He's the Caesars Entertainment personal concierge.
- 18:37Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 18:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: So there you go.
- 18:40Dayna Roselli: It's got a name.
- 18:41Dayna Roselli: And they also have this tailgate to go, which is very similar to that, but during football season, you can order right to your room.
- 18:47Dayna Roselli: Caesars has a pizza place that you can order from.
- 18:50Dayna Roselli: Harris has the Fulton Street Food Hall.
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: You can order from Guy Fieri's Vegas Kitchen and Bar.
- 18:56Dayna Roselli: So really cool idea there as well.
- 18:58Dayna Roselli: If you want to watch some football from the comfort of your room and have footballish style food sent to you, you know, to eat while you're there.
- 19:05Dayna Roselli: So all right, we've talked food, we've talked check-in, we've talked remote controls, but now let's talk gaming.
- 19:11Sean McAllister: Yeah, we have uh Dustin Boscher from Station Casinos, who's uh getting us all the ins and outs of the revolutionary new gaming experiences.
- 19:22Sean McAllister: Hey Dustin.
- 19:22Sean McAllister: Hey guys, thanks for having me.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, let's talk about this.
- 19:25Dayna Roselli: I mean, gaming is such a huge part of I think why people are heading to casinos right now.
- 19:30Dayna Roselli: I mean, there's restaurants, there's things to do to just get out, but people are really enjoying gambling again.
- 19:35Dayna Roselli: So what what has changed with the experience for folks?
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: So the base games are still there, but what's changed is the way we're dealing with the games now.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: And so the biggest change would be the social distancing and the cleanliness factor is is really the most important thing for the guests.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: And so we've gone into a new era where electronic table games, which are basically a crossbred between tables and slots, so it gives the guests that social distancing.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: It also gives them that feel where they don't have to touch cards and chips anymore, but they still get that experience of a live dealer and actually seeing the dealer deal the cards or or spin the roulette wheel.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: Um so it's really changed how we've we're doing business nowadays for the better, actually.
- 20:16Sean McAllister: And I know we're we're over here at at Red Rock today.
- 20:20Sean McAllister: I live over by Green Valley Ranch, where you have the same technology, and I've played these games, and you still get, at least I have, fun dealer interaction.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: You do, and that's we've really chose the right dealers to be over here that interact with the guests and create an environment where it's kind of a party atmosphere where, hey, yeah, I'm not sitting right directly next to the dealer, but I can still get that vibe where they're excited when I win, and you know, the whole atmosphere with everybody over here is let's play as a group and let's have a good time.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:47Dayna Roselli: And then when you talk about safety and all that, I mean, just highlight for folks, because we do have a lot of listeners that are out of the state, out, you know, in different countries across the world that want to come to Vegas, want to go gambling, want to do these things.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: What can you do to instill a little bit of confidence that, you know what, it's okay, we've got measures in place.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: So I mean, from the day one that we opened up, the Fertita brothers wanted to make sure that the guests came back here and felt like they were safe and secure at all times with the current environment.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: So I mean, you start out, you walk right in the casino, you're gonna get your temperature checked right when you come in to make sure you're healthy and that you come in those doors.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: Throughout the property, we have uh hand sanitizer stations, we have everything is cleaned by the team multiple, multiple times.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: When a guest gets up from a slot machine or a table, the team members are going over, they're cleaning that device or that table to make sure that the guest experience is the best it could possibly be.
- 21:37Sean McAllister: And from a dealer's perspective, how has the staff here uh uh accommod uh acclimated to the new technology?
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: They've done great.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, you you always have that you know first couple weeks where people are adjusting to the product, but now the the team's an all star, they're doing a great job with it and they know how the devices work.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: They're actually out there walking the floor too to help the guests to make sure they understand the product because.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: It is a little something different, especially if you were only traditional table games.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: Now it's got that slot feel to it a little bit.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: So it's teaching the guests how the system works, but the guests have picked up on it really easy, and the system is set up that if you're a brand new player, that you can really learn the product really easily.
- 22:15Dayna Roselli: Let's talk about playing.
- 22:16Dayna Roselli: What's exciting?
- 22:17Dayna Roselli: I mean, we've talked a little bit about that at first, but what if folks come to the casino, what's exciting?
- 22:21Dayna Roselli: What's new?
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, like I said, the ETG product is really the new part of it, and this is the ability for the guests to play multiple games at the same time.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: So literally you could be sitting there playing a Hannah Bakra, switch over, play a spin of the wheel on roulette, and then jump over to Blackjack all within a couple seconds.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: You can't do that on our traditional table game.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: So that's a huge change there.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: Um and then we've also just added additional products throughout the casino to add that feel of safe and the ability to get guests into action quicker.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: And that's why we've also introduced the play-on devices onto the table games, which is Deborah card transactions right there at the table.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: So the guest doesn't have to leave the table, they can sit there and take the money right out at the table and get into action.
- 23:04Sean McAllister: Again, just to clarify so that the listeners understand, these electronic table games, these are live games that are happening.
- 23:12Sean McAllister: This isn't stuff that's just taking place from a computer.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: Correct.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: It's it's an actual dealer up on a stadium, basically.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: They got a table right there, they have the cards, they have the wheel, they're spinning a ball.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: It is a table game, um, and the actual video feed is pre being put onto your individual unit, and the guests can sit there and look at the hands being dealt.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: So this is not the old machines of past where it was a digital blackjack or digital roulette.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: This is a live table game with real dealers, real cards.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: So you get to see the transparency of the transaction that this is a real game.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Um, the only difference is you get that a little bit of that ability to be away from other guests, so that if you want that safe vibe feel, you get that.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Um, and then also, like I said, you can jump between so many different games so quickly if you want to.
- 23:54Dayna Roselli: It's really cool.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: Listen, thanks for sharing us, and we're gonna post some stuff on our social media.
- 23:58Dayna Roselli: You're gonna show us around, right?
- 24:00Dayna Roselli: At some of the different things.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: Yes, absolutely.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: We're gonna take you through the tour of the property and show you all the great things we've added and all that safe and secure stuff we've done to make you feel like you're safe inside the building.
- 24:09Sean McAllister: All right, Dustin, thanks so much.
- 24:11Sean McAllister: We appreciate it.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: Thanks, guys, I appreciate you coming down.
- 24:14Dayna Roselli: All right, and stay with us, Vegas Revealed back after this, and we're talking in our tips a little bit about Christmas things to do, Sean.
- 24:21Sean McAllister: Stay with us.
- 24:25Dayna Roselli: Welcome back to Dana and Sean's Secret Tips.
- 24:28Dayna Roselli: We talked about decorating Christmas trees earlier, so we thought we'd tell you about a couple things that are happening around the holidays.
- 24:34Dayna Roselli: Because if you're listening, maybe you're thinking about planning a trip to Las Vegas or you're a local uh in the month of December, end of November.
- 24:41Dayna Roselli: And we got a lot of things going on here we wanted to let you know about.
- 24:44Dayna Roselli: Um, my tip is this bar.
- 24:47Dayna Roselli: It's called it's a miracle pop-up bar, okay?
- 24:49Dayna Roselli: It's really cool.
- 24:50Dayna Roselli: It actually takes place at the Sandaler Lounge, which if you've never been, it's just off the strip, just to the west of it.
- 24:58Dayna Roselli: And I don't know, Sean, would you call it a dive bar?
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 25:03Dayna Roselli: It's a step uh a step above.
- 25:04Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's a it's a nice little place.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: It's a nice little place.
- 25:08Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 25:09Dayna Roselli: Well, they uh transform it into this unique winter wonderland pop-up bar for the holiday season.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: And it's great.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: The owners there announce it's returning.
- 25:19Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be from six for six weeks.
- 25:21Dayna Roselli: It starts on November 23rd through New Year's Eve.
- 25:25Dayna Roselli: There'll be uh live music, craft cocktail, and pizza bar, and they call it the miracle on Spring Mountain because it's on Spring Mountain.
- 25:32Dayna Roselli: And again, it's the Miracle Bar pop-up.
- 25:34Dayna Roselli: So write that down if you're coming to Vegas during that time.
- 25:38Dayna Roselli: It's something you definitely wanna check out.
- 25:40Dayna Roselli: They have a whole list of really cool cocktails.
- 25:42Dayna Roselli: The Chrismopolitan.
- 25:44Sean McAllister: I was gonna say they're all like Christmas holiday themed, right?
- 25:47Dayna Roselli: The fruitcake flip, right?
- 25:49Dayna Roselli: On Dasher, get it?
- 25:50Dayna Roselli: Bad Santa, Yippie Kaye, Mother, I can't say, and the Jingle Balls Nog.
- 26:00Dayna Roselli: So it's a creative list, Sean.
- 26:02Sean McAllister: That is a creative list.
- 26:04Sean McAllister: Kudos to whoever came up with those names.
- 26:06Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 26:07Sean McAllister: Uh also on the holiday theme, the Venetian is putting on a Christmas show featuring some past American Idol contestants.
- 26:16Sean McAllister: It's called This Is Christmas.
- 26:18Sean McAllister: It's taking place inside the Venetian theater.
- 26:21Sean McAllister: And uh the show is going to run from November 27th through December 27th, uh, Friday and Friday through Sunday with two shows, 3 p.m.
- 26:33Sean McAllister: and 7 p.m.
- 26:34Sean McAllister: Uh now if you are interested in uh buying tickets to this show, they do recommend that if there are if you have multiple people going, that you all buy your seats at the same time to make sure that you're all sitting together.
- 26:52Sean McAllister: Right.
- 26:52Sean McAllister: Otherwise, if you know Bob and Lucy buy their tickets at a different time than you buy your tickets, you may be sitting on the opposite side of the theater from them.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: You'll be be waving to Bob and Lucy across the way.
- 27:04Dayna Roselli: But who knows?
- 27:05Sean McAllister: Maybe you don't necessarily want to sit with Bob and Lucy.
- 27:07Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 27:08Dayna Roselli: So maybe you act like, oh, I didn't know we had to book our seats together.
- 27:12Sean McAllister: But now you know, and you don't have to tell Bob and Lucy.
- 27:15Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 27:15Sean McAllister: But there are uh tons of of great performers who are uh a part of this.
- 27:21Sean McAllister: Lou Gazara uh is in this, Randall Keith, uh Jaclyn McSpadden, Ben Stone, Jasmine Trius, who's incredible.
- 27:30Sean McAllister: Amazing.
- 27:31Sean McAllister: Um it's uh a Eric Jordan Young, uh producer and performer.
- 27:36Sean McAllister: So the this is going to be uh a great show with incredible talent, and you know, the music just will certainly get you in the spirit.
- 27:44Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 27:44Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be very special, and I love that they've kind of come up with something different there, you know, to use that theater and make sure that people have something to do when they visit here to celebrate the holidays.
- 27:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, and so the the theater will be socially distanced.
- 27:59Sean McAllister: You will have to wear a mask while you're in there, but you know what?
- 28:02Sean McAllister: That's that's a it's just the times.
- 28:05Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 28:05Dayna Roselli: And then after you can go down to the the sand dollar and have that skippy kaye.
- 28:12Dayna Roselli: You want to mix in a little bit of the sweet with the with the not so sweet.
- 28:15Sean McAllister: Snowball nog, what is it?
- 28:18Dayna Roselli: Jingle ball nog.
- 28:19Sean McAllister: Jingle ball nog.
- 28:22Dayna Roselli: Oh man, let's leave it on that note.
- 28:24Dayna Roselli: It's Friday, we're recording this uh bit, and you know, we could all use a drink.
- 28:28Sean McAllister: Oh, what a week, man.
