- 0:00hello everybody.
- 0:00Welcome back to another episode of Adult Child of Dysfunction.
- 0:03Today we have with us a super special guest, and something that we've been talking about a lot on this podcast, but we've never really delved in deep.
- 0:13And today we wanna talk to Mindy Jackson.
- 0:15She is a psychotherapist, a Reiki master, and a spiritual coach who rose to her divine feminine self by healing personal, generational, and ancestral trauma.
- 0:25She now provides her healing abilities and teaches others how to do so as well.
- 0:30Welcome, Mindy.
- 0:31Thank you.
- 0:32Thank you for having me.
- 0:33It's an honor.
- 0:34You're very welcome.
- 0:35So I love the fact First of all, I love the fact that you mix You're a psychotherapist, and you also pulled in the Reiki, and you pulled in the spirituality and everything else, because I am a huge proponent
- 0:45of just the fact that you have to heal your body, mind, and your spirit.
- 0:50It is not we're all one whole big being, but it's a lot of people are like I went to psychotherapy.
- 0:56I went to therapy.
- 0:57I talked it out.
- 0:57I did this."
- 0:58And I'm like, "And great, and you helped your mind, but now it's all stuck in your body.
- 1:02So let's work on the body, and then let's work on your spirituality," and it's all one big thing.
- 1:07So I love when I meet people that actually delve into all of that.
- 1:12But it sounds like you have quite a story as far as how you got into your spiritual awakening or whatever it is.
- 1:20Can you talk a little bit about that, like how you knew that you were an empath?
- 1:25It was hard to deny it once I knew the language for it, honestly, because I had a near-death experience at age five, and encephalitis from chickenpox that didn't break out months later, and was in the hospital having out-of-body
- 1:38experiences.
- 1:39Didn't know.
- 1:40I didn't have the language for any of that.
- 1:41I just, as a child you just take life as it comes.
- 1:44It wasn't until, I finally heard the word empath and understood what it meant that I was like, "Oh, that's why I got so overwhelmed at school with emotions so easily."
- 1:55Very sensitive growing up, had a lot of mystical and spiritual experiences, paranormal experiences and all of that, and just grew up differently.
- 2:04But I had both this sort of religious foundation as well as this feminine, creative, intuitive foundation in my family.
- 2:14So I did grow up with what I say I was blessed with spiritual resiliency.
- 2:20And so in the really hard times when I couldn't decide what was mine and what was somebody else's, I felt like it was all mine, but I didn't let it stop me.
- 2:32I couldn't quit.
- 2:33I couldn't just lay down and quit.
- 2:35That doesn't mean I didn't have times when I really wanted to.
- 2:39But something inside of me had this s- like integrity, like I have some mission that I don't understand and I just have to keep going, and now I'm really understanding it more.
- 2:52Okay.
- 2:53Yeah.
- 2:54Yeah.
- 2:54And that's, so you followed that path, but you knew it from the time you were five?
- 2:59I didn't know that's what it was.
- 3:01I didn't have the boundaries because, when you have a trauma, even if it's a pleasant near-death experience, it's still a trauma to the nervous system.
- 3:10Or if you're, abused or you're in a car accident or whatever, the def- trauma by definition is an overwhelm of the nervous system that causes it to dysregulate, and then you can go into fight, flight, freeze.
- 3:21And if it's long-term, like childhood PTSD from abuse, you can have- you can even go into fawn, and people-pleasing is what that is, and a lot of people do that, right?
- 3:32So when I had the near-death experience, I had also already had a trauma in life.
- 3:37I didn't realize it was a trauma, of course, at the time, but the changes in the neurological system make a person more sensitive.
- 3:45The beautiful thing is whatever intuitive capabilities the person comes in with, right?
- 3:53And we're v- wide open as a child.
- 3:56When the trauma happens, it magnifies that.
- 3:59The challenge is that it stays fear-locked because the nervous system is constantly scanning the environment looking for a threat.
- 4:06What I get to do in the work that I do is I get to help people shift that through a whole process, and they, I get to watch them and guide them go from fear-locked to love-based, engaging in
- 4:20self-love, and their awareness goes from seeking threat to seeking connection, seeking love and guidance.
- 4:29And so it's just an amazing thing.
- 4:31It's almost like seeing a baby being born.
- 4:33So I know you mentioned that you had...
- 4:36You grew up in some pretty adverse situations with poverty and mental health issues in the house and everything else.
- 4:43Yes.
- 4:43Why do you think or...
- 4:45So I guess I'm asking, I know we're all born, like I truly believe we're all born with this intuitive sense, the sixth sense, this...
- 4:53And but I feel like some people, like in my case, I- mine was shut down- Yeah because of the trauma.
- 4:59Because I don't know if it's because I didn't have the family that backed me up, that believed what I was saying or that encouraged it, but literally I felt like it took me years to be able to trust
- 5:10that little nagging gut feeling or the just that intuitive sense at all.
- 5:15Why do you think some kids do that and some kids like you really embraced it?
- 5:21I do think, the family does shape a lot of that, of course.
- 5:24But, by the time we start school, we're already receiving conditioning, not just from the family, but from the community about what's true and what's real and what's not and all of this.
- 5:34And so instead of being taught and supported in trusting our own knowing and knowing that there really isn't anything to fear, that some things are just unfamiliar, and because something is unfamiliar, we have a fear response.
- 5:47It's part of our old, an old part of our brain.
- 5:50But we're shifting out of that also these days.
- 5:53But I think some kids, the, the families don't believe in it.
- 5:57They don't value it.
- 5:59Just if you ask somebody about a dream and they say it was just a dream they're justifying their lack of value for imagination or other states of consciousness.
- 6:08Why?
- 6:09Because we've lived for thousands of years under systems of control and conditioning that tell us, "Oh, let's not go there because..."
- 6:17Fill in the blank, and you can fill in the blank with it's powerful Right So what I saw growing up, yes, I had the adversities because I came from a mom who was divorced from a, who had a
- 6:31mother who was divorced in the '50s, and that was taboo.
- 6:34And her parents came out of the Depression era.
- 6:37I do believe my grandmother developed bipolar disorder with psychotic features because she shut down things that were natural to her to a degree.
- 6:47I do believe she was probably bisexual, and because she was born in the Stonewall era, that was not something she could entertain at all.
- 6:53She would have cut that off quickly.
- 6:55And she was raised Primitive Baptist, so she would have been like, "That's of the devil," so cut that off quickly.
- 7:01And so she just blocked it out, and being psychic was of the devil.
- 7:06So she shut that down.
- 7:08And she did get abandoned by her husband, and was a single mom and a career woman, and luckily she was a nurse, so that was a little more acceptable as a career woman in the '50s.
- 7:18But she was abusive to my mom, and because she was abusive to my mom, she, I say she set the stage for my mom to develop borderline personality disorder.
- 7:28And my mom could be very loving on one hand and then abusive, and the challenge was the anxiety that developed in me was I didn't know what to predict, so I had to learn to scan my environment.
- 7:41I had to learn to read her microexpressions, the tone of her voice, which looks like, to people who don't understand that, it looks like being psychic.
- 7:49And in a way, it is part of an intuitive experience.
- 7:53Yeah.
- 7:53But because of trauma like that, that's how I learned to read so well.
- 7:59And I think a lot of children do that.
- 8:00I can remember, you just, these little things I can remember, depending on how many times it took to get the key in the doorknob.
- 8:08But, it was like, okay, this is gonna be a bad day.
- 8:11So it was do you run and hide?
- 8:12Do you meet them at the door?
- 8:13Do you serve them?
- 8:14What do you do based on how that key goes in the doorknob?
- 8:18And I always tell people, and I held onto that, that I say, I took what I learned, quote unquote, and what I was gifted with, quote unquote.
- 8:25And I can walk into a room and literally within seven minutes or six minutes into, in a room of 150 people, I can probably tell you the three people in the room that I would most likely want to
- 8:36connect with and it's because of energy Exactly.
- 8:38Yes because you feel that ooh, that, that give, take- Yes that push, pull.
- 8:42And it is very real.
- 8:45Absolutely.
- 8:45Can you talk a little bit about your near-death experience, what it was...
- 8:48what happened, what it looked like to you?
- 8:49Okay.
- 8:50'Cause not many people have them.
- 8:51The interesting thing is I've had two.
- 8:54Okay.
- 8:54And they were actually very different.
- 8:56I think one went a lot deeper was much more open than the other.
- 9:00I think one I didn't go quite as far, but I was given a choice, which was interesting.
- 9:05So at five we were swimming at a lake near our home, and I just remember one moment I was on my float, and I was at that age where I would have to hold my nose to swim underwater
- 9:17and one-arm it, and so I had this awareness that I was in the water swimming underwater and I wasn't holding my nose, and I thought that was unusual immediately.
- 9:26And there was a shimmering light coming up from the bottom of the lake, and I just...
- 9:30as children do, "Let's go see what that is," my curiosity just took me in that direction.
- 9:34And I get to this space where it was, like, this opening, and I could see these bright, beautiful colored flowers.
- 9:41And behind the flowers I could see people moving around, but they didn't look like distinctive features like we do in our third-dimensional bodies.
- 9:49They just looked like light.
- 9:50It...
- 9:51But I knew they were people, and it was as if I knew who they were.
- 9:56But I had never known anybody that had passed away by age five.
- 10:00But there was this knowing, right?
- 10:01I just knew who they were, and couldn't tell you later who it was, but I did at the time.
- 10:05And then the next thing I know, I'm pulled back, and it's like this black bubbly experience, and then I'm coughing and I'm choking and I'm crying and I'm pissed off because I was almost there.
- 10:17I was, like, right there at the doorway, so to speak.
- 10:20And I didn't think much of it.
- 10:23As a child, when you have- when you're wide open and you're, what...
- 10:27I hate to even use the word imagination, I like to say visual skills and memory skills these days.
- 10:33When that's wide open and engaged, you just go with the flow, and you don't question a lot until you find out that's different.
- 10:41And I didn't know I was really that different until I was about seven or eight years old, and I realized the other kids at school were not having these overwhelming experiences that I was having.
- 10:52They weren't seeing Shua playing in the yard and bringing his girl to come play with us in the yard.
- 10:57They weren't having these experiences of beings at night, so I felt like an outsider for a while, and I was the weird kid at school, so then of course I got picked on and being emotionally sensitive on top
- 11:09of that.
- 11:10So I really didn't have those e- those boundaries the same way.
- 11:13It's like my nervous system just didn't get the memo that I was supposed to have them.
- 11:17Which could be a good thing, in a way, right?
- 11:19I- I'm grateful for it now, honestly.
- 11:22The stru- I did struggle for years to really understand and develop them, but because I had to, I came up with very good personal constructs that work very well for me, and I share those with my clients oftentimes
- 11:35and help them develop their own.
- 11:37So you know, a lot of people who come to me with trauma, and I specialize in treating PTSD, they h- don't have those boundaries because the trauma has blown their nervous system.
- 11:47Makes sense.
- 11:48That makes total sense.
- 11:49I know I, and I say it all the time, and people are like, "No, Tammy you're just..."
- 11:54They tell me I'm nuts, which is crazy to say that to me.
- 11:56You know what I say?
- 11:57But- I always say, "Just catch up."
- 11:59Yeah.
- 12:00Get that...
- 12:01Really, I'm just like- Catch up because people, I've even had a guy that was on my podcast that suffered 13 years of dissociative amnesia that stepped out of his life, went and wrote books- didn't know what he was
- 12:11doing, like the whole thing.
- 12:13And I will tell him, I will say what dissociation looks like to me is X, Y, Z."
- 12:18And he'll say no, that's not how it happens."
- 12:21Dissociation is everybody's experience with dissociation.
- 12:24What I tell people, and this is kind of- I've had people tell me my whole life, "Tammy, you should really explore your intuitive sense," because things happen, and I could go on and on about the stories, but I've
- 12:36always been just pushed, like you said, just "No, that's crazy.
- 12:40You're nuts."
- 12:41"Don't worry about it," blah, blah, blah.
- 12:42But, like, when I was having my stroke, and I know many people that have had full-blown strokes, very few that remember every detail.
- 12:50I was standing outside of my body- Yeah and it was same thing.
- 12:54I could I knew what I wanted to say, and then I was hearing what was coming out of my mouth, because obviously my brain- Yes and my mouth were not connected.
- 13:02And so I was like, okay.
- 13:04At one point it was cold, and I wanted to tell the doctor to put a coat on, because he was outside with me, and I looked at him, and I wanted to tell him, "It's cold.
- 13:12Go put a coat on."
- 13:14And I said, "The guy that took my blood pressure, was he a dentist?"
- 13:17And then I'm like, "Shit."
- 13:19So I'm like, "That didn't work."
- 13:21That's humorous.
- 13:21Yeah.
- 13:21So I'm like, "Put a coat on."
- 13:22I yelled at him.
- 13:23And he's like, "Did you just yell at me?"
- 13:25Oh, that's funny.
- 13:25And I'm like And at that point I'm, like, paralyzed on the left side, could barely talk, and But it was those are my experiences, and I'm like, that's what I do.
- 13:33I step out.
- 13:34And I am just a firm believer like you, if it happens, go with it.
- 13:40Don't shut it down, because my niece, and you can probably relate to this she had a friend Abby, and she swore she had this best friend Abby that would ride up and down her street on a bicycle when
- 13:52she was about five years old, and she used to talk about Abby.
- 13:54And my sister-in-law was always like, "Oh, you're just crazy.
- 13:57We're Don't go say You don't have to go say goodbye to Abby."
- 14:00And I'm like, T- I'm like, "Mich- you know, Michelle maybe she's seeing Abby."
- 14:05Maybe the- and I'm like, "Let her go with that.
- 14:06If that's her friend, let her have that friend."
- 14:08And then they had just moved in.
- 14:10A year later she found out that a little girl, Abigail, had been hit on that street when she was five.
- 14:15On a bicycle.
- 14:16Yeah, on a bicycle.
- 14:17So it's we shut down that instinct in us.
- 14:20And we, I believe we all have some version of it.
- 14:23Of course, others many, mostly heightened, or not mostly, but many heightened.
- 14:28Do you think the heightened intuitive sense comes naturally, or do you think it is, like you said, exploited because of the trauma, it's exasperated?
- 14:39I don't think there's one simple answer there, because there are different factors.
- 14:44One we're in a different state of consciousness than the old studies, right?
- 14:50We've come a long way in consciousness, and so I do believe that many of us are high-frequency souls who came in at this time for a purpose, and we came in with these awarenesses and, sensitivities and knowledge and
- 15:03wisdom.
- 15:04Explain how a four-year-old can sit down at a piano and play like Beethoven, right?
- 15:08Sometimes I think it is, we're all born with here's your possibilities and this and this are gonna be yours.
- 15:14And you're going to realize it and develop it at some point in your life.
- 15:19But trauma magnifies whatever is there.
- 15:22I do have this sort of budding understanding or knowing that those of us who came in at this particular time in the last, say, 50 years or more- 50 years to 60 years, right?
- 15:36I do believe that many of us, because we are way showers, especially because we don't hit our real leadership until we're like in our 40s, right?
- 15:44We came in as high frequency beings, but we had to have something to anchor us here.
- 15:49And a lot of times the density of trauma is the thing that anchors, but it also is the thing that helps us remember that we are a healer, that we came here on a mission, so to speak.
- 16:01And you can be a healer in a lot of different capacities.
- 16:03So it's like at some point the shell of the nut has to crack in order for the, the oak tree to be born, and that's like we knew we were an oak tree coming in, but we thought we
- 16:12were an acorn growing up.
- 16:14And so it wasn't until something was so uncomfortable or that innate mental health and that real desire that pushed beyond the limitations we were taught got bigger, and that's, I think that was the case with me in a
- 16:28lot of ways, is that it wasn't until I got to college really that I had the language that I needed and really felt seen, like really saw myself for the first time and realized I wasn't just this crazy
- 16:45kid that was weird and dealing with bully stuff.
- 16:48And to this day I'm still like, it ticks me off to deal with bullies, right?
- 16:52There's a lot of different answers to that question.
- 16:54So if you are one of those people and you're out there listening, and I know there's many of you out there listening going, "Wow, maybe I do have something.
- 17:01Maybe I'm not crazy," and, how would you encourage people to start exploring that?
- 17:07First I would say stop listening to everybody else and listen to yourself.
- 17:11If you are worried about what other people think, you will always fall short in your own life.
- 17:16You will always feel disappointed with yourself.
- 17:19You will always feel like you never measure up.
- 17:22But if you say, "You know what?
- 17:23I'm okay with me-" And if I'm curious about something, I'm going to explore it.
- 17:28If I have a gut feel- I don't know very many women that can't agree that mother's intuition is real, right?
- 17:35So start there if you're a female.
- 17:37If you're a male who's very supportive or has a very nurturing spirit, start there, right?
- 17:42So really it t- it comes from taking your sovereignty back and saying, "I'm not gonna allow the world around me to define who I am and how I'm supposed to really live, or what I'm supposed to believe and
- 17:52not believe."
- 17:53If you tell me these days, "Don't look over there," I'm gonna look over there.
- 17:56I'm gonna get closer and I'm gonna inspect it.
- 17:58I'm gonna put it under a microscope and find out why you don't want me to look.
- 18:01So you have to be bold and take back that spirit of, wait a minute, there's more than what we've been told.
- 18:10And we don't need to look outside of ourselves for some divine essence when the truth has been right in front of our eyes the whole time.
- 18:19And historically we've had all kinds of saints, sages, and ascended masters saying the same thing, "Go within.
- 18:26Be in your heart.
- 18:27That's where you find your true self."
- 18:30And for me, that has been very true.
- 18:32And for my clients, that's the beautiful thing they discover when they step out of the fear.
- 18:37So it's really all this fear, the fear of scarcity, not being good enough, being f- afraid of being rejected and abandoned.
- 18:44All of those things are conditioned beliefs.
- 18:47Give the establishment the finger and step out of that.
- 18:53I hear people use the term matrix, but the word comes from mother, so I don't know that's a proper word for it, but we're gonna go with it because of the movie.
- 19:00Notice the matrix for what it is and step away.
- 19:03If you feel rigidly hard believing in something and you can't even take in new information about that thing, then you're probably caught in a matrix.
- 19:13Okay.
- 19:15And then what do you do with that information?
- 19:16What do you- you challenge it.
- 19:18Yeah.
- 19:18You say, "Let me find, let me find..."
- 19:20We have the ability to find information at our fingertips, right?
- 19:23So consider the sources of course, but learn about it.
- 19:28Learn and say, "Okay, why would a system of control want me to think that?"
- 19:33Why would?
- 19:33And then you gotta, what are the systems of control?
- 19:36Oh, honey, just look around.
- 19:37Where, what are they, right?
- 19:39Look at your bank account.
- 19:40Where does your money go?
- 19:42That's a big indicator.
- 19:44Absolutely.
- 19:44So you mentioned something, and this is going off topic, but you mentioned something that was fascinating before, and you were talking about, and I just want you to touch on it, on how you can reactivate your dormant DNA
- 19:56and what that has to do with what you teach and what you lear- are learning.
- 20:01We don't have enough time to go into all of it.
- 20:03I k- I know.
- 20:03But- That's why I said just touch on it because I've never even- All right heard those terms.
- 20:07So in 2023, I had a stroke myself.
- 20:10It was in the occipital lobe, and that's your visual cortex, and I had central blindness and discovered that the recommended rehabilitation for that is visual art.
- 20:19So I started painting.
- 20:21So I painted the 22 major arcana of the tarot, and I lived out the meaning of every one of those and found out they're actually angelic frequencies.
- 20:30They're connected to all the four cardinal archangels who hold the different tools.
- 20:35And so through that process of painting, it's really the hero's journey.
- 20:40And naming my collection when I was done, that I gave it my own kind of style and spice, I named it The Return of the Divine Feminine because I took all the masculine characters and flipped it to feminine
- 20:50except for two.
- 20:51And in doing so, I realized, wait a minute, all this stuff about being creative, intuitive, nurturing, community building, connecting, that's all feminine energy.
- 21:03That's all the stuff that the establishment does not want us to live from.
- 21:08They don't want us in a oneness mentality.
- 21:11They want us in a us versus them mentality because that's easy to control.
- 21:14And I said, "You know what?
- 21:15I'm just stubborn enough to say no."
- 21:19And so I started doing a little research, and it just came to me, and I realized, wait a minute, it's never left us.
- 21:26That kind of energy does not die.
- 21:30That's why they have historically, over and over again, had a war on women, and I'm not some big political feminist, y'all.
- 21:36But if you look at your history, you will see what I'm talking about.
- 21:40So when something is suppressed and repressed over and over again with death threats and very horrible experiences, then it gets dormant.
- 21:52It lays dormant in the DNA.
- 21:53And all it takes a lot of times to unlock it is to hear somebody talk about it, to hear somebody say, "Hey, this is how I reclaimed that for myself.
- 22:00I healed myself."
- 22:01That's part of divine feminine, is the ability to heal yourself.
- 22:05To know what you need to heal yourself, right?
- 22:09So how do you unlock it?
- 22:11Go back to trusting your own inner knowing.
- 22:14Use your intuition.
- 22:16Develop your intuition.
- 22:17Learn about it.
- 22:18It's not woo-woo, it's not airy-fairy, and it's not something that doesn't have value.
- 22:23The reason it has been suppressed, and we think it's woo-woo, is because it is so powerful.
- 22:29And there is so much.
- 22:30At the end of the day, we're all energy.
- 22:31We're all frequencies.
- 22:32Yeah, everything is.
- 22:33Everything.
- 22:33Absolutely everything.
- 22:34I do a a biofrequency scan with your voice, like you were talking about your voice.
- 22:39Yeah.
- 22:39Okay, yeah.
- 22:40And it literally analyzes 171,000 different frequencies, and I can- do the scan, run the scan- write a summary about the scan, and hand it to a client, and they're like, "Oh, my God, this is me."
- 22:53Yeah.
- 22:53Like, how does it know- Exactly I have had high cortisol and I'm now in adrenal fatigue, and, like, all my doctors said all these things.
- 22:59Because it's all- Is that AO Scan?
- 23:01Yeah.
- 23:01Yeah, the AO Scan.
- 23:02Yeah, it's...
- 23:03Do you do it?
- 23:03Have you- I'm familiar with it.
- 23:05Yeah.
- 23:05I'm very familiar with it.
- 23:07Yeah.
- 23:07It is, it's fascinating, yeah.
- 23:08People are like, "How does it know my left knee hurts?"
- 23:10I'm like, "Well-" it just is what it i- and, but it just shows you.
- 23:13But I tell people I don't know, you know- I tell people all the time, I teach people the sway test.
- 23:19It's a very simple, quickest thing you could do.
- 23:21You just stand there, close your eyes, and ask what you wanna know, and your body is going to naturally either lean forward or it's going to lean back.
- 23:29It's like the old muscle testing.
- 23:31Yeah, like the muscle testing.
- 23:32But I, yes, you could do sway.
- 23:33I know the, the- Yeah doctors do the arms and stuff.
- 23:36Yeah.
- 23:37But I'm like, but it's true.
- 23:39Sometimes it's true.
- 23:40It is.
- 23:40Our body has more wisdom than our mind.
- 23:43Absolutely, 100%, and that's what I say, and I'm like, and you can...
- 23:46I feel like I can trick my mind sometimes, or think I do.
- 23:49And a lot of people do.
- 23:50They're like, I got this."
- 23:51Yeah.
- 23:51But then when the rubber hits the road and you have to react, y- it's your body reacting.
- 23:56It's your nervous system reacting, not your mind.
- 23:58And you can train that.
- 24:00You can train that with the mind, because you can learn mindfulness skills and nervous system regulation so that in the moment that you start to react, you catch it quick enough.
- 24:09Yep.
- 24:09And over time, you do that enough times, you retrain the whole body.
- 24:13Yeah.
- 24:13So yeah, and the, those new hi- the new frequency medicine, that is...
- 24:19it's based in some of the old even Hermetic teachings, right?
- 24:23In sacred geometry and all of that, and the interest- That is the wave of the future as far as medicine.
- 24:29And with our voice, we have the anatomy, the historical anatomy of our ma- matrilineal line on the left side, and our pat- paternal line on our right side.
- 24:39So it's the combination of those two historical imprints in your DNA that affect and teach you to, or train your voice in a way.
- 24:50Yeah.
- 24:50It's absolutely- and carries all that DNA of whether it's blood sugar issues or an addiction or whatever, it's all there in that DNA.
- 24:56It is fascinating, and people are like, "I don't believe it."
- 24:58Yes.
- 24:58I'm like just try it.
- 24:59Just humor me.
- 25:00Humor me."
- 25:01I, that's how I start everything.
- 25:02"Just humor me.
- 25:03Try it-" Yeah "and see what you think."
- 25:04And then they're like, "Oh my God."
- 25:06Yes.
- 25:06I'm like- And when somebody tells me they don't believe something, and I know that thing that they're saying they don't believe has to do with this conditioned thinking, I always say, "Prove me wrong."
- 25:17Yep.
- 25:17And if you prove me wrong, great.
- 25:18Okay.
- 25:19I'll admit that I was wrong about you about this thing, not necessarily everybody else or myself.
- 25:25Absolutely.
- 25:26Absolutely.
- 25:27So if you had to describe, how would you describe to people, I think you already did, but how would you sum up reawakening your divine feminine?
- 25:40That's a good question.
- 25:41Trying to summarize that is hard.
- 25:44I would say going back to what is natural.
- 25:48Going back to, looking at what our great-grandparents probably tried to teach us if...
- 25:53I grew up in the Appalachians, so we had a lot of like old conjuring methods, and then home remedies, and people who went through the Great Depression era, they didn't have access to all the medications, so they had
- 26:05to go on their folk knowledge and, trial and error sometimes.
- 26:09But really, I would say, start by trusting your own inner knowing.
- 26:14If you tell yourself, "I cannot get this wrong," it doesn't mean it's going to be exact like math or science can be, but science is finally catching up.
- 26:26Yep.
- 26:26So really it's about being a little bit radical, letting the inner bitch come to the surface and say, "I don't have to believe that way, and I'm not gonna let you guilt me or make me s- feel scared
- 26:41in order to manipulate me to believe the way you want me to about whatever this is," right?
- 26:47So going back to your inner knowing and s- personal development, get with somebody who's already well-developed or has a profession in it like I do, and get their guidance, get their help.
- 26:58A lot of times it doesn't take much in that spiritual guidance or consultation, and the person just springboards.
- 27:04I was gonna say, once you open that up and give people the faith that they can believe in it, that's the, rather than somebody who's just been shut down so hard and so tight for so many years, it's
- 27:14like, it's a boundary, you set a boundary and it's like all of a sudden it works, and you're like, "Oh, a little confident.
- 27:19I can s- maybe set another one."
- 27:21And it's, I feel like it's like that with your intuitive sense, because once you trust it a little more, then you learn to trust yourself.
- 27:27Yeah.
- 27:27And I love you said something- It's like a muscle.
- 27:28It develops Yeah.
- 27:30And I love you said something earlier, and it made me think of when you were talking about everything is out of fear, but you're helping people get to the love.
- 27:38And it made me think of just the other day I was talking to someone, and we were doing opposites.
- 27:42"What do you think?
- 27:42Up, down, in, out."
- 27:44And someone said love, and it was so funny because she said hate, and I said fear.
- 27:50And- What do you think about that?
- 27:55I think that's true.
- 27:57That but here's the challenge, I think, right?
- 28:00We have been, we've had our own personal experiences as well as all these narratives about what love is supposed to be.
- 28:08So love is a very high frequency, but to embody it, there are so many subconscious and unconscious beliefs about it, that it can be challenging.
- 28:19So what is equal to that is true gratitude.
- 28:24To embody true gratitude and feel appreciative of what you really do have or what you want in your life, saying that I already have it, right?
- 28:34That is that highest frequency.
- 28:36And what is the opposite of that?
- 28:39Okay.
- 28:39Lack of gratitude or ungrateful.
- 28:41Why would you be ungrateful for something?
- 28:44So I can be ungrateful for hard things, or I can look at those hard things and say, "Hey, they helped me..."
- 28:51Sorry, I'm trying to get out of the sun here.
- 28:53Oh, yeah.
- 28:53"They helped me build resilience," or, "They helped me learn lessons," or whatever, right?
- 28:58But the duality of the world here is like that's an old paradigm that's starting to lose its power because we're recognizing that we can have both at one time, just like you can hold two opposing views or two
- 29:12opposing feelings at the same time.
- 29:14We recognize that in, within each of our own beings we have both masculine and feminine, and as we heal those and bring them back into union, we are transcending duality.
- 29:24We're becoming a whole new being, and this is where that consciousness shift is going now.
- 29:29And so I like to call that our homo luminus self, which means human of light.
- 29:33Oh.
- 29:34And maybe that's exactly what I saw on the bottom of the lake.
- 29:37Could've been.
- 29:38Absolutely.
- 29:39That makes total sense, actually.
- 29:42Yeah.
- 29:43So if you had to sum up too, I like these summaries.
- 29:45You're very, you describe things very easily.
- 29:48So I'm- Oh.
- 29:49I'm pulling- Hope more of those from you.
- 29:50If you had to say what your, the core of your resiliency is, what would it be?
- 29:57I've tried to define that for myself a lot, and I don't really have a clear answer.
- 30:03I just know there's something in me that has a bigger drive to thrive, a bigger drive to do something in this world.
- 30:10It's like maybe that part of my knowing hasn't been cracked completely open to my awareness yet because I do see it in everyday little things all the time.
- 30:22But it's m- it, but the bigger understanding, I don't know that it's to be revealed to me just yet.
- 30:28What I will say is there's, it's not like I haven't had times where I wanted to give up, but it was, what does this really mean?
- 30:36And what would my understanding of God say about this?
- 30:40How would this...
- 30:41Can't escape it now.
- 30:43Sorry.
- 30:44How would God view me?
- 30:45So do you flip yourself?
- 30:46Do you wanna flip yourself completely around?
- 30:48Does that help?
- 30:48I don't want the sun in your eyes.
- 30:50That's- I can try.
- 30:50We can...
- 30:52Nothing, things over.
- 30:54It was really more of wha- how would my divine view me?
- 31:01If I went in a direction I know that is not integritous- in the situation, right?
- 31:09And it's always been this, because I just grew up being able to access multiple dimensions it's been this there's always a double meaning, triple meaning, or quadruple meaning to, any experience.
- 31:23And things like, okay, if we're both walking on a trail and we saw an owl, okay, what would that mean to me?
- 31:30What would that mean to you?
- 31:31Maybe it means nothing to you, but I say, "Huh, that reminds me that I need to trust my wisdom."
- 31:38And you're going, "Why would that..."
- 31:39And then I tell you, and you're like, "Oh, okay.
- 31:41That makes..."
- 31:41That's how we grow in consciousness too is by sharing the me too moments.
- 31:47Absolutely.
- 31:48Absolutely.
- 31:48The other thing too, a- and this is where I really help my clients develop the intuitive aspect, is don't dismiss something just because it's not, quote unquote, "real" because it may be more real than you think.
- 32:02So if you see an owl in the shape of a stump up ahead, and the first thing you thought it was an owl standing on the side of the road, and you're like, "Why is there a big ass
- 32:09owl standing on the side of the road?"
- 32:11And then you get closer and that it's a stump.
- 32:13You had experience of owl and stump.
- 32:18So you can't dismiss one for the other.
- 32:20They're both equally important.
- 32:22The fact that you even saw owl out of a stump might be even more important.
- 32:27So just be curious and not shoo everything away and just dismiss everything like you're cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.
- 32:34And if you're asking yourself, "Am I crazy?"
- 32:38The answer's probably no.
- 32:40Is this...
- 32:41This is just woo.
- 32:43Okay, if you catch yourself saying the word just, what are you truly justifying?
- 32:47The right not to believe, to stay stuck in the matrix where it's familiar?
- 32:51Is it safe?
- 32:52Is it healthy?
- 32:53Does it help you grow?
- 32:56No, not really.
- 32:58It makes you a slave.
- 32:59Yeah.
- 33:00Absolutely.
- 33:01Absolutely, and so many people are.
- 33:02And just for the people out there listening, this is not gonna change overnight, so don't be like, "Oh, all of a sudden, here it comes."
- 33:09Just start the little things.
- 33:10Yes.
- 33:10Start listening to yourself.
- 33:12Start trusting yourself because so many- of us have been taught not to trust ourselves.
- 33:16When you Ask yourself, "What does my dream mean?"
- 33:18Yeah.
- 33:19Absolutely.
- 33:20When you've been told you're wrong and your opinions don't matter and your judgment is wrong for so long, you start to...
- 33:26You stop listening to it, and then you stop trusting it completely.
- 33:30Start trusting it again.
- 33:31Just know that it's, like she said, it's in there.
- 33:34It's in you, and it's always been in there.
- 33:36You just have to start listening to it.
- 33:38You have to start.
- 33:40So this has been super fun.
- 33:43So if people want to work with you, tell us how, how they can reach you if they wanna work with you.
- 33:48I know you, you are a psychotherapist.
- 33:50Tell us about that.
- 33:50Are you licensed in one state?
- 33:51Yes.
- 33:52So I am bound to the State of Georgia, to residents in the State of Georgia with the psychotherapy.
- 33:57But with energy healing and spiritual coaching, I'm not bound by any borders.
- 34:02There are no limitations.
- 34:04And it works quantum level, so you can do it just like this, video conferencing level.
- 34:09So the best, the two best ways honestly to get in touch with me is go to the Psychology Today website and type in Georgia Mindy Jackson, or Carrollton, Georgia if you wanna get specific.
- 34:23Look for the redhead.
- 34:24You'll notice I'm a little different.
- 34:25So I stand out.
- 34:26If you read through my bio, you will see even though it's more adverti- it says Reiki master, it says LPC and Reiki master, but you'll see woven into what I've put into my profile if you have eyes to
- 34:37see and ears to hear, you will see all of the other modalities that I offer.
- 34:42So you can reach out to me through the contact information there.
- 34:46The other way is if you use Facebook, you can go to my business Facebook page, which is Ascension Counseling Services LLC.
- 34:54Okay.
- 34:54And you can access me through there.
- 34:56You can comment on something or you can just reach out by Messenger.
- 35:00I'm not so sure if it's hooked up to Messenger.
- 35:02I'm not...
- 35:03Don't know.
- 35:04But I have had people reach out through comments, and I always see them, so I check it frequently.
- 35:10So those are the, the two big ones.
- 35:12I would not point you to any website right now because it's primarily for psychotherapy un- unless you're in Georgia.
- 35:19Sorry.
- 35:20Okay.
- 35:20And I will put everything you mentioned and all the relevant places to get to you- Sure in the show notes so people can find that.
- 35:25Sure.
- 35:26So before you leave, first of all thank you for coming, Mindy.
- 35:29Yes, thank you for having me.
- 35:31I really appreciate it.
- 35:31Yes.
- 35:31And before you leave if you could give the listeners one big picture, words of advice, or words of wisdom to carry throughout the day, what would it be?
- 35:40Actually I'm gonna give you a quick experience.
- 35:43Okay.
- 35:43I'm gonna ask you, what is your next thought gonna be?
- 35:47Now, if you noticed your mind went blank, that is exactly what it's supposed to do.
- 35:54That blank space is what you need to harness.
- 35:57That blank space is a cleared chalkboard or whiteboard, so to speak, because what you did is you challenged your psyche to search, and in the searching alone, you were, you shi- you shifted out of active thinking into awareness.
- 36:12That is where you access intuition, creativity.
- 36:17This is where you access that inner knowing.
- 36:20So it's not about maintaining a blank mind all the time, it's about being able to notice what it feels like and then notice when you're shifting back into active thinking and pull back into awareness.
- 36:34The m- meditation teachers tell you all the time, "Come back to your breath," right?
- 36:38Come back to your center.
- 36:39That is it.
- 36:40So we really need both.
- 36:43We need both awareness and our active thinking in order to transcend, in order to ascend at this point in history.
- 36:53Okay.
- 36:54So I'm gonna let you tell the audience one more time how to do that.
- 36:59Do that question one more time for them.
- 37:00So you're...
- 37:01I'm gonna just simply say, what's your next thought gonna be?
- 37:06So the other thing another quick one that, that'll help also is to say bring your awareness to the tip of your nose, and notice when you breathe in, the air is cool, and when you breathe out, it's a
- 37:15little warmer Where did your mind go?
- 37:21You were just in awareness.
- 37:23So that's how easy it really is.
- 37:25We've been told that this is hard and it takes years and years of gurus and trainings and all this kind of stuff, when it's really not.
- 37:31It's really not.
- 37:32You just haven't been told that it was valuable, that's all.
- 37:35Thank you for that.
- 37:37Yeah.
- 37:38Okay.
- 37:39So thank you again for coming.
- 37:40I appreciate you.
- 37:41And for everybody else out there listening, check out Mindie's stuff.
- 37:44She's full of wisdom, full of great insight, and I'm sure you can benefit and learn from whatever she has to offer.
- 37:51So thank you so much everybody, and remember you are so worth every single step that you make going forward to have a he- happier, healthier, wholer life.
- 38:00So God bless you all, and you have a great day.
- 38:03Bye.
