Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
• 0:05
Speaker 1: We've recently been talking a lot about Jeffrey Epstein and
• 0:08
Speaker 1: his alleged cooperation with the federal government when it comes
• 0:12
Speaker 1: to being an informant. And I don't think there's any
• 0:15
Speaker 1: doubt at this point that he was actually working in
• 0:18
Speaker 1: that capacity. We have court documents stating such. We have
• 0:23
Speaker 1: the report from the Miami Herald that turned up the
• 0:26
Speaker 1: records that show that Jeffrey Epstein cooperated to prosecute executives
• 0:32
Speaker 1: at Bear Stearns. And we all know Jeffrey Epstein was
• 0:35
Speaker 1: working at Bear Stearns and with Bear Stearns during this
• 0:38
Speaker 1: financial crisis. So how is it that your partners get
• 0:42
Speaker 1: hemmed up, they get caught up in the dragnet, they
• 0:45
Speaker 1: end up getting in trouble, but you, once again, avoid
• 0:49
Speaker 1: all of the trouble. Somehow keep your head above water,
• 0:52
Speaker 1: keep treading and doggy paddling until somebody throws you a
• 0:56
Speaker 1: life preserver. And that somebody was the FBI, according to
• 1:00
Speaker 1: these documents, And once you start working as a confidential
• 1:04
Speaker 1: informant for the federal government, a whole new world opens
• 1:07
Speaker 1: up to you. You have a lot of protection. You
• 1:10
Speaker 1: have a lot of people that you can refer to
• 1:12
Speaker 1: and rely on. Just take a look at Whitey Bulger
• 1:15
Speaker 1: and how he was able to move throughout the system
• 1:18
Speaker 1: for so long being protected by the government. Not only
• 1:21
Speaker 1: was he protected for his financial crimes, he was actually
• 1:25
Speaker 1: out there killing people and the FBI was still protecting him.
• 1:29
Speaker 1: So there's people who want to believe that the FBI
• 1:31
Speaker 1: wouldn't get into bed with somebody like Jeffrey Epstein, but
• 1:34
Speaker 1: they will. And they have. And they'll continue to do so.
• 1:38
Speaker 1: Because they feel like the means justifies the end. And
• 1:42
Speaker 1: for me, I don't buy it at all. When it
• 1:45
Speaker 1: comes to the abuse of vulnerable people, the abuse of children,
• 1:49
Speaker 1: the abuse of minors, hell, the abuse of anyone, I've
• 1:52
Speaker 1: had enough. And Jeffrey Epstein was doing it for decades
• 1:58
Speaker 1: and he was being protected while he was doing it. Now, again,
• 2:02
Speaker 1: I'm not going to sit up here and tell you, oh,
• 2:04
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein was a CIA agent and, you know, he
• 2:07
Speaker 1: went to Quantico or wherever the hell the CIA goes
• 2:10
Speaker 1: and trained. That's not what I'm saying. What I am
• 2:13
Speaker 1: saying is he's an asset and he was being run
• 2:15
Speaker 1: by various people at various levels of the government. Who
• 2:20
Speaker 1: those people were? Well, that, my friends, is certainly up
• 2:25
Speaker 1: for debate. You know what's not up for debate, though?
• 2:28
Speaker 1: If Jeffrey Epstein was an informant. I think we could
• 2:30
Speaker 1: put that one to bed. And today we have another
• 2:33
Speaker 1: article right into that vein. Headline. Pedophile millionaire dodged harsh
• 2:40
Speaker 1: sentence by ratting out Bear Stearns executives. This article was
• 2:44
Speaker 1: authored by Bruce Golding, and it was published November 28th
• 2:49
Speaker 1: of 2018, before Jeffrey Epstein's second arrest, by the way.
• 2:56
Speaker 1: Multimillionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein secretly served as a key federal
• 3:00
Speaker 1: witness against two hedge fund managers around the time he
• 3:04
Speaker 1: cut the sweetheart deal that let him avoid federal child
• 3:07
Speaker 1: sex trafficking charges and served just 13 months in a
• 3:10
Speaker 1: Florida jail, according to a new report on Wednesday. So
• 3:15
Speaker 1: how does that sit with you folks? Doesn't sit very
• 3:19
Speaker 1: good with me. They were so interested in going after
• 3:24
Speaker 1: these executives from Bear Stearns that they were willing to
• 3:27
Speaker 1: let Jeffrey Epstein walk. Think about that for a minute.
• 3:31
Speaker 1: You guys are going to give Epstein this sweetheart deal
• 3:34
Speaker 1: if he'll turn snitch and canary to you. And we
• 3:38
Speaker 1: all know Epstein ain't somebody who worries about other folks.
• 3:41
Speaker 1: It's all about self-preservation, right? If snitching means he's going
• 3:44
Speaker 1: to be able to keep it moving, then snitching it's
• 3:47
Speaker 1: going to be. Because Jeffrey Epstein is not out here
• 3:51
Speaker 1: trying to take the fall. We saw it with Hoffenberg,
• 3:54
Speaker 1: and then we saw it again here with Barron Stearns.
• 3:57
Speaker 1: So how is it that Jeffrey Epstein is able to
• 4:00
Speaker 1: avoid all of these dragnets, all of these federal investigations,
• 4:04
Speaker 1: and prosecution by the federal government, who usually has no
• 4:07
Speaker 1: problem prosecuting anybody? Ask yourselves why. A year-long investigation by
• 4:18
Speaker 1: the Miami Herald turned up records that show Epstein, who
• 4:21
Speaker 1: is one of the fund's largest investors, cooperated in the
• 4:24
Speaker 1: prosecution of a pair of executives at now-defunct Bear Stearns
• 4:28
Speaker 1: financial firm and received valuable consideration from providing investigators with
• 4:34
Speaker 1: unspecified information. Now, imagine having this scumbag, Jeffrey Epstein, who's
• 4:40
Speaker 1: out here raping, molesting, laundering money, you name it, Showing
• 4:45
Speaker 1: up and talking about here, I'm here to help the government. What,
• 4:47
Speaker 1: you don't think that was about protecting himself later on
• 4:50
Speaker 1: down the road? You don't think this was all about
• 4:53
Speaker 1: later when he knew he was eventually going to get
• 4:56
Speaker 1: popped for his proclivities? He wanted to have this in
• 4:59
Speaker 1: the bank, right? This armor in the bank. It's just
• 5:01
Speaker 1: like with the charities. So Jeffrey Epstein can go to
• 5:05
Speaker 1: his buddies at the FBI, whoever his handler is, and
• 5:08
Speaker 1: believe me, he had a handler. There is somebody out
• 5:10
Speaker 1: there right now who handled Jeffrey Epstein who was lying
• 5:13
Speaker 1: to us about everything. That's right, somebody in the government
• 5:17
Speaker 1: was Jeffrey Epstein's handler. That's how this works. Who that
• 5:20
Speaker 1: person was, I have no idea. But this person knew
• 5:25
Speaker 1: exactly the kind of serpent Epstein was, knew what he
• 5:28
Speaker 1: was up to, and knew the kind of disgusting behavior
• 5:32
Speaker 1: he was engaging in. And none of that mattered, as
• 5:35
Speaker 1: long as they could get more information from Jeffrey Epstein.
• 5:42
Speaker 1: Emails show that then-Miami U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta, who is
• 5:46
Speaker 1: now President Trump's Secretary of Labor, and the lead prosecutor
• 5:51
Speaker 1: in the case agreeing to help Epstein's high-powered defense lawyers
• 5:54
Speaker 1: try to contain the scandal sparked by his 2006 arrest
• 5:58
Speaker 1: in Palm Beach, according to The Herald. So we know
• 6:02
Speaker 1: all of that already. The whole Acosta thing has been
• 6:05
Speaker 1: beaten into the ground. And as far as I'm concerned,
• 6:08
Speaker 1: Acosta was just another useful idiot. in a long line
• 6:12
Speaker 1: of useful idiots. The real problem goes to the top.
• 6:16
Speaker 1: The real problem could be found in Mukasey's office. On
• 6:23
Speaker 1: an avoid-the-press note, I can file the charge in district
• 6:26
Speaker 1: court in Miami, which will hopefully cut the press coverage significantly.
• 6:30
Speaker 1: Do you want to check that out? Assistant U.S. Attorney
• 6:33
Speaker 1: Marie Villafana wrote in September 2007 to defense lawyer Jay Lefkowitz,
• 6:39
Speaker 1: a former colleague of Acosta's, At the Kirkland & Ellis
• 6:42
Speaker 1: Law Firm. Now I'm sure you're all familiar with Kirkland
• 6:45
Speaker 1: & Ellis. These are the lawyers that have been out here,
• 6:47
Speaker 1: you know, defending Trump, defending all these other people. But
• 6:52
Speaker 1: there is a problem, a rotting problem at Kirkland & Ellis.
• 6:57
Speaker 1: Just like at Perkins Coie, same thing over at Kirkland
• 7:01
Speaker 1: & Ellis. I'm so tired of these lawyers getting involved
• 7:03
Speaker 1: into our political system, manipulating things, protecting people, hiding bullshit.
• 7:10
Speaker 1: It's a big problem. And Kirkland and Ellis personify that problem,
• 7:14
Speaker 1: in my opinion. The following month, Acosta met with Lefkowitz
• 7:20
Speaker 1: for breakfast at a Marriott hotel in West Palm Beach,
• 7:23
Speaker 1: 70 miles from Acosta's office, to negotiate terms of Epstein's
• 7:28
Speaker 1: non-prosecution agreement with the feds, according to the Herald. Once
• 7:32
Speaker 1: the pact was struck, Epstein, whose hosted former president Bill Clinton,
• 7:37
Speaker 1: British Prime, British Prince Andrew and others at his own
• 7:41
Speaker 1: private Caribbean island, pleaded guilty to two felony prostitution charges
• 7:45
Speaker 1: in state court, even though the feds identified 36 underage
• 7:49
Speaker 1: girls who accused Epstein, then a powerful pal of Clinton
• 7:53
Speaker 1: and Prince Andrew, of sexually abusing them. in his Palm
• 7:56
Speaker 1: Beach mansion between 2001 and 2005, the Herald said. So
• 8:02
Speaker 1: why would Jeffrey Epstein be protected here? And why would
• 8:06
Speaker 1: someone like Acosta be told to back off? Remember, that's
• 8:08
Speaker 1: what happened. The only reason is that Jeffrey Epstein was
• 8:14
Speaker 1: being run as an asset for the United States federal government.
• 8:18
Speaker 1: It's the only logical reason. A Labor Department spokeswoman didn't
• 8:25
Speaker 1: immediately return a request for comment, but Acosta was questioned
• 8:29
Speaker 1: about Epstein's plea deal during his U.S. Senate confirmation hearing
• 8:33
Speaker 1: in March 2017. Although he said he couldn't discuss the
• 8:37
Speaker 1: details of the case, Acosta said the decision not to
• 8:40
Speaker 1: file federal charges was a broadly held decision in his office.
• 8:45
Speaker 1: You know what that means? A broadly held decision for
• 8:47
Speaker 1: the D.A., So the whole entire prosecutor's office up top
• 8:51
Speaker 1: in D.C., Mukasey and company, made that call. Anyone who
• 8:56
Speaker 1: thinks that a junior prosecutor like Acosta is making that
• 8:59
Speaker 1: call is just bananas. He is not making that call.
• 9:05
Speaker 1: As part of any plea, it is not unusual to
• 9:07
Speaker 1: have an indictment that says, these are all the places
• 9:11
Speaker 1: we can go, yet at the end of the day,
• 9:13
Speaker 1: based on the evidence, professionals within a prosecutor's office decide
• 9:17
Speaker 1: that the plea that guarantees that someone goes to jail,
• 9:20
Speaker 1: that guarantees that someone registers as a sex offender generally,
• 9:24
Speaker 1: and that guarantees other outcomes, is a good thing, he said. No,
• 9:27
Speaker 1: it's not. Not in this case. There's no gaslighting in
• 9:31
Speaker 1: the world, no amount of gaslighting in the world, that'll
• 9:33
Speaker 1: ever change the fact that you guys screwed up. That
• 9:36
Speaker 1: first prosecution in Florida was an absolute embarrassment. And the
• 9:40
Speaker 1: fact that Jeffrey Epstein walked and was able to commit
• 9:42
Speaker 1: crimes afterwards is a black mark on you, the system,
• 9:46
Speaker 1: and every single prosecutor that's ever been involved. And don't
• 9:49
Speaker 1: even get me started on whoever this dude's handler is,
• 9:52
Speaker 1: because whoever that is, that is one scummy SOB. But
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: I don't think there's any doubt in anyone's mind at
• 10:00
Speaker 1: this point that Jeffrey Epstein was being run as an asset,
• 10:03
Speaker 1: and I think we can confirm at the very least
• 10:05
Speaker 1: he was working with the FBI. Besides that, it's still
• 10:09
Speaker 1: a lot of speculation, but... I have the opinion that
• 10:13
Speaker 1: Epstein was working for multiple outlets in the government, and
• 10:17
Speaker 1: maybe not just the U.S. government, because that's how information
• 10:20
Speaker 1: brokers work. And if Epstein was anything, he most certainly
• 10:25
Speaker 1: was that. All right, folks, it's going to do it
• 10:28
Speaker 1: for this one. If you'd like to contact me, you
• 10:30

• 10:46
Speaker 1: The link that I discussed can be found in the
• 10:48
Speaker 1: description box. What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the
• 10:52
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Today we have a relatively long article from
• 10:58
Speaker 1: Mother Jones. And this article was originally published on October
• 11:03
Speaker 1: 1st of 2019. And it is an interview by Leland
• 11:10
Speaker 1: Nolley with Spencer Coven. Or should I say a conversation
• 11:15
Speaker 1: that Leland Nolley was having with Spencer Coven about what
• 11:19
Speaker 1: went down here with the original prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein.
• 11:24
Speaker 1: and how it was absolutely foobar from Jump Street. So,
• 11:29
Speaker 1: like I said, this is a pretty long article, so
• 11:32
Speaker 1: let's just get right to it. Headline. An actual conspiracy
• 11:37
Speaker 1: kept Jeffrey Epstein's accomplices out of prison. With four little words,
• 11:42
Speaker 1: the government granted immunity to Epstein's co-conspirators. Why? This article
• 11:48
Speaker 1: was authored by Leyland Nolley. It was just a four-word phrase,
• 11:55
Speaker 1: a bit of a plain contractual verbiage, but even now,
• 11:59
Speaker 1: more than a decade later, Spencer Coven has a hard
• 12:02
Speaker 1: time expressing just how bizarre it was. It's incredibly odd language,
• 12:08
Speaker 1: said Coven, an attorney in Florida. I've never seen it
• 12:11
Speaker 1: before in a non-prosecution agreement. Now, we've heard this from...
• 12:15
Speaker 1: Every single person who's talked about this plea deal pretty much,
• 12:18
Speaker 1: besides Dershowitz, but everybody else has said, this is a
• 12:23
Speaker 1: once-in-a-lifetime kind of deal. A sweetheart deal that they've never
• 12:26
Speaker 1: seen the likes of ever before. So why would Jeffrey
• 12:30
Speaker 1: Epstein rate? And then, for the people who want to
• 12:33
Speaker 1: act like defending Epstein's co-conspirators is not a big deal, really?
• 12:38
Speaker 1: All of these same people who were running around enabling
• 12:42
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein to We shouldn't talk about who is representing
• 12:45
Speaker 1: them as lawyers either. You see what happens here when
• 12:48
Speaker 1: we're talking about Epstein. We can't just talk about one
• 12:51
Speaker 1: facet of it. It all has to be discussed. Because
• 12:54
Speaker 1: if you look at it and just look at one
• 12:57
Speaker 1: facet of what went down, none of it's going to
• 12:59
Speaker 1: make sense. Kuvan and I were talking about the infamous
• 13:06
Speaker 1: and inexplicable 2007 plea deal offered by then U.S. Attorney
• 13:11
Speaker 1: Alexander Acosta, last seen slinking out of the Labor Department's
• 13:15
Speaker 1: back door. Coven had represented three of Epstein's survivors at
• 13:19
Speaker 1: the time of the agreement, and Coven is still exercised
• 13:24
Speaker 1: about the deal. In particular, it's brief immunity clause that
• 13:28
Speaker 1: continues to protect Epstein's co-conspirators. Anyone who has knowledge of
• 13:33
Speaker 1: the situation and anyone who looks at the plea deal,
• 13:37
Speaker 1: there's no way you can say to yourself, oh yeah,
• 13:39
Speaker 1: this is on the up and up. So where are
• 13:41
Speaker 1: all of the other deals like it? Where was the precedent?
• 13:46
Speaker 1: There was no precedent for a deal like this. They
• 13:48
Speaker 1: just decided, what the hell, we're going to do whatever
• 13:50
Speaker 1: we want. Now remember, when they made this deal, it
• 13:53
Speaker 1: was a long time before social media is what it
• 13:57
Speaker 1: is today. And they could have never expected that it
• 14:00
Speaker 1: would blow up and mushroom the way it has. They
• 14:03
Speaker 1: figured that people would forget about it. That it would be,
• 14:06
Speaker 1: you know, kicked underneath the bed and covered with clothes.
• 14:11
Speaker 1: But that didn't happen, did it? And with the way
• 14:15
Speaker 1: it snowballed, there was no way for them to cover
• 14:18
Speaker 1: their asses. According to a ruling by U.S. District Judge
• 14:25
Speaker 1: Kenneth Mara in February of 2019, from between about 1999
• 14:32
Speaker 1: and 2007, Jeffrey Epstein sexually abused more than 30 minor
• 14:35
Speaker 1: girls at his mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, and elsewhere
• 14:39
Speaker 1: in the United States and overseas. The ruling goes on
• 14:43
Speaker 1: to describe a child sex ring. In addition to his
• 14:46
Speaker 1: own sexual abuse of the survivors, Epstein directed other persons
• 14:50
Speaker 1: to abuse the girls sexually. Epstein used paid employees to
• 14:55
Speaker 1: find and bring minor girls to him. Epstein worked in
• 14:58
Speaker 1: concert with others to obtain minors, not only for his
• 15:01
Speaker 1: own sexual gratification, but also for the sexual gratification of others. Now,
• 15:07
Speaker 1: this is a ruling from Judge Kenneth Mara. This isn't
• 15:11
Speaker 1: me just telling you this, right? This is what Judge
• 15:14
Speaker 1: Kenneth Marrow was saying. So who are all of these
• 15:17
Speaker 1: others that were working with him? And why are all
• 15:19
Speaker 1: of these people that are quote unquote called others afforded
• 15:24
Speaker 1: this great protection? Don't you think that if there were
• 15:28
Speaker 1: competing judges, investigations or concurrent investigations in all of these states.
• 15:35
Speaker 1: We could have gotten around this non-prosecution agreement the same
• 15:38
Speaker 1: way they did in New York. I remember before the
• 15:41
Speaker 1: charges against Maxwell were tagged on her, people were saying
• 15:45
Speaker 1: that they weren't going to be able to prosecute because
• 15:47
Speaker 1: of this non-prosecution agreement down in Florida. But that only
• 15:50
Speaker 1: protects you down in Florida, right? This isn't a get
• 15:54
Speaker 1: out of jail free card for the rest of the country,
• 15:57
Speaker 1: wherever else you might have committed these crimes. And that's
• 16:00
Speaker 1: why I was so adamant that there should have been
• 16:02
Speaker 1: state investigations running in parallel to this federal investigation. Don't
• 16:07
Speaker 1: you want redundancies? Don't you want there to be another
• 16:10
Speaker 1: investigation in case one slips up? But we didn't see that,
• 16:14
Speaker 1: did we? It was all left in the hands of
• 16:16
Speaker 1: the federal government. Why is that? But back in 2007,
• 16:22
Speaker 1: Epstein was charged only with procuring an underage girl for prostitution,
• 16:26
Speaker 1: having struck an unbelievable sweetheart deal with Acosta. And, you know,
• 16:31
Speaker 1: they always add Acosta here like it's just him. And
• 16:34
Speaker 1: I hate to beat a dead horse, but I want
• 16:36
Speaker 1: everyone to understand that this goes a lot deeper than
• 16:39
Speaker 1: just Acosta. Acosta can't make this ruling on his own.
• 16:43
Speaker 1: He's not going to be out here talking about, oh yeah,
• 16:45
Speaker 1: we're not prosecuting this, that, or the other thing without
• 16:49
Speaker 1: his bosses giving him the okay. Epstein served 13 months
• 16:54
Speaker 1: in a Palm Beach County jail, of which six days
• 16:57
Speaker 1: a week were spent on work release in his high-rise office,
• 17:01
Speaker 1: a limo chauffeuring him to and from jail. He was
• 17:04
Speaker 1: also required to register as a sex offender. The deal
• 17:08
Speaker 1: on its face is incredibly favorable to Epstein. If you
• 17:11
Speaker 1: look closer, things get even better for him. Imagine how
• 17:15
Speaker 1: could it get even better? Well, you're about to find out.
• 17:18
Speaker 1: The United States also agrees that it will not institute
• 17:22
Speaker 1: any criminal charges against potential co-conspirators of Epstein, including, but
• 17:27
Speaker 1: not limited to, Sarah Kellen, Adriana Ross, Leslie Groff, or
• 17:32
Speaker 1: Nadia Marcinkova. The only person that's named there that is
• 17:36
Speaker 1: even worthy of any kind of consideration is Nadia Marcinkova
• 17:40
Speaker 1: because of her circumstances. And what does this shit mean?
• 17:43
Speaker 1: Any potential co-conspirator of Epstein, including, but not limited to?
• 17:48
Speaker 1: So what is this, just a carte blanche for all
• 17:50
Speaker 1: of his friends to say, hey, I was working with Epstein,
• 17:53
Speaker 1: you can't prosecute me? And what sort of leadership structure
• 17:59
Speaker 1: at the Department of Justice okays something like this? Imagine
• 18:03
Speaker 1: you were working at the DOJ and you're the Attorney
• 18:06
Speaker 1: General or Assistant Attorney General and this bullshit comes across
• 18:09
Speaker 1: your desk. First of all, I'm calling up whoever sends
• 18:12
Speaker 1: it to me, right? I'm calling them in for a meeting, right?
• 18:16
Speaker 1: and I'm going to launch an investigation into what they're
• 18:18
Speaker 1: up to, because obviously they're not doing their job correctly.
• 18:22
Speaker 1: You better miss me with all this bullshit. The four
• 18:27
Speaker 1: women named had allegedly helped recruit underage girls for Epstein
• 18:31
Speaker 1: at his direction, but that four-word phrase, but not limited to,
• 18:36
Speaker 1: gave a free pass to anybody who would have helped
• 18:39
Speaker 1: Epstein acquire or traffic underage girls for sex. How could
• 18:44
Speaker 1: the government agree to immunize any potential co-conspirators of an
• 18:48
Speaker 1: alleged serial child rapist? The question is at the center
• 18:52
Speaker 1: of so many conspiracy theories surrounding Epstein's life and death. Hey, look,
• 18:58
Speaker 1: for me, it happened. Right. Did it or did it
• 19:01
Speaker 1: not happen? They gave him this sweetheart deal. Right. And
• 19:04
Speaker 1: they've never given us any reason. As to why they
• 19:07
Speaker 1: would do that with the language included, that was included.
• 19:11
Speaker 1: So how is it a theory if it's playing out
• 19:13
Speaker 1: right here in front of us? You know what's a theory?
• 19:16
Speaker 1: The Big Bang Theory. That's a theory. The deal has
• 19:22
Speaker 1: not expired with Epstein either. On September 16th, Judge Mara
• 19:25
Speaker 1: shot down efforts by Epstein's survivors to invalidate the non-prosecution agreement,
• 19:31
Speaker 1: letting the co-conspirator provision stand. We learned the same day
• 19:35
Speaker 1: that the federal government had told the court in 2011
• 19:39
Speaker 1: that the agreement applied only in Florida, meaning in theory
• 19:43
Speaker 1: that co-conspirators could be charged in another state. Yeah, no shit.
• 19:47
Speaker 1: I'm certainly not Judge Judy over here. or the greatest
• 19:51
Speaker 1: legal mind to ever walk the earth, but it's rather
• 19:53
Speaker 1: obvious that when you have a deal, the immunity only
• 19:57
Speaker 1: covers you in the district that the deal's drawn up in.
• 20:04
Speaker 1: There are co-conspirators involved in this whole thing, Coven said.
• 20:07
Speaker 1: By leaving it open like this, if they decide to
• 20:10
Speaker 1: try and file charges against Maxwell or others who are co-conspirators,
• 20:14
Speaker 1: I have no doubt that her attorneys will try to
• 20:17
Speaker 1: raise this as an issue and this might give them immunity.
• 20:21
Speaker 1: It's frustrating. We know that it didn't work. We know
• 20:24
Speaker 1: that it didn't carry over. And I think that the
• 20:27
Speaker 1: government understood that the people weren't going to deal with it.
• 20:31
Speaker 1: Nobody was going to accept their bullshit. Oh, well, we
• 20:33
Speaker 1: can't prosecute Ghislaine Maxwell in New York because of a
• 20:36
Speaker 1: plea deal in Florida. Nobody was accepting that. So they
• 20:39
Speaker 1: had to get to work. But if it wasn't for
• 20:41
Speaker 1: all of you out there pressuring and pestering and continuously
• 20:45
Speaker 1: following this case the way you do, there's no way
• 20:48
Speaker 1: that they would have ever flexed and went the way
• 20:51
Speaker 1: they did. On July 10th, Acosta offered an explanation for
• 20:56
Speaker 1: the agreement. The purpose in this case was to bring
• 20:59
Speaker 1: Epstein to jail, to put him behind bars. And so
• 21:03
Speaker 1: there were other individuals that may have been involved in
• 21:06
Speaker 1: any type of conspiracy. There are individuals around someone. The
• 21:10
Speaker 1: focus really is on the top player. And that's where
• 21:13
Speaker 1: our focus appropriately was. That's such bullshit. Do you think
• 21:17
Speaker 1: that they walk into a group of drug dealers and
• 21:20
Speaker 1: they're only going after the top dog? They're going after everybody.
• 21:23
Speaker 1: And they start with the low-level associates. They grab the
• 21:26
Speaker 1: low-level associates. and they flipped them. And then they worked
• 21:30
Speaker 1: their way up the chain, but they didn't do that. Instead,
• 21:32
Speaker 1: they gave all of the low-level associates of Jeffrey Epstein's
• 21:35
  Speaker 1: criminal enterprise a plea deal. I mean, a non-prosecution agreement.
• 21:40
Speaker 1: So how in the hell are you supposed to prosecute
• 21:42
Speaker 1: people who are being shielded by the very laws that
• 21:45
Speaker 1: you're supposed to be upholding that they're breaking? But a
• 21:51
Speaker 1: focus on the top player doesn't require freeing from liability
• 21:55
Speaker 1: the people who aided and abetted him. People who sent
• 21:59
Speaker 1: girls to Epstein so he could sexually assault them. The
• 22:02
Speaker 1: immunity clause drastically weakened the government's case with those four words.
• 22:07
Speaker 1: Prosecutors lost whatever leverage they might have had to extract
• 22:11
Speaker 1: evidence from Epstein's co-conspirators. And you wonder why they didn't talk, right?
• 22:15
Speaker 1: They weren't pressed. They were not pressed. And if they were,
• 22:19
Speaker 1: say you slapped them with RICO predicates. A lot of
• 22:22
Speaker 1: those RICO charges have mandatory sentencing, right? So if you
• 22:25
Speaker 1: get convicted, you're going away for a mandatory period of time.
• 22:29
Speaker 1: There's no, oh, we're going to get some time shaved off,
• 22:32
Speaker 1: none of that shit. Not one single RICO charge in
• 22:36
Speaker 1: this whole entire case, because if they did, if it
• 22:38
Speaker 1: was RICO, then all of these ties would bind. And
• 22:42
Speaker 1: they weren't ready to do that. They had everything they needed,
• 22:45
Speaker 1: and we've seen it time and time again. But for
• 22:48
Speaker 1: reasons that I will never understand... They chose not to act.
• 22:56
Speaker 1: Alan Dershowitz, who represented Epstein during the 2007 case, offered
• 23:00
Speaker 1: me a much different but equally strange explanation for the
• 23:04
Speaker 1: immunity clause. That was designed to protect any women who
• 23:09
Speaker 1: Epstein had get other women, said Alan Dershowitz. Another member
• 23:13
Speaker 1: of the 2007 defense team described the provision as a
• 23:17
Speaker 1: way to protect the dozens of young girls who were
• 23:20
Speaker 1: Epstein's sexual abuse survivors, but who had also accepted money
• 23:24
Speaker 1: to recruit other girls, often from high school parties. It's
• 23:28
Speaker 1: all about protecting the survivors. That's what they're saying this
• 23:30
Speaker 1: is about. Such bullshit. Such absolute and utter bullshit. There's
• 23:35
Speaker 1: not a prosecutor... on the planet, I don't think, that
• 23:38
Speaker 1: would be bringing charges against Epstein survivors. That is complete
• 23:45
Speaker 1: and utter crap, Coven said. Absolutely not true. Coven believed
• 23:49
Speaker 1: the provision was crafted to protect people like Ghislaine Maxwell,
• 23:52
Speaker 1: the British socialite, and longtime Epstein confidant, co-conspirator, general all-around scuzzbag,
• 23:59
Speaker 1: you know, fellow child abuser, and bipedal serpent, of soliciting
• 24:02
Speaker 1: girls on the financier pedophile's behalf. They wrote that provision
• 24:08
Speaker 1: so that it would be broad as possible because he
• 24:11
Speaker 1: wanted to capture in that plea deal all of his
• 24:13
Speaker 1: co-conspirators like Elaine Maxwell. Coven went on. If they wanted
• 24:18
Speaker 1: to exclude any girls from prosecution, the government could have
• 24:21
Speaker 1: done that. They interviewed over 40 women and they knew
• 24:24
Speaker 1: the names of all those women. That's absolutely right. If
• 24:27
Speaker 1: the government wanted to do that, they would have done it.
• 24:30
Speaker 1: So the whole explanation given by Dershowitz just doesn't pass
• 24:33
Speaker 1: muster like usual. The logic in Dershowitz's explanation has several
• 24:41
Speaker 1: obvious flaws. One, it would seem to encourage perpetrators to
• 24:45
Speaker 1: victimize people to gain their assistance in a criminal conspiracy. Two,
• 24:50
Speaker 1: if the objective is to protect the victims of sexual assault,
• 24:54
Speaker 1: a provision that immunizes people who are involved in trafficking
• 24:58
Speaker 1: young girls to a child molester seems counterintuitive. And most obviously,
• 25:04
Speaker 1: while the defense claims this provision protects victims, it ultimately
• 25:09
Speaker 1: protects their assailant the most. In immunizing any of his
• 25:13
Speaker 1: potential co-conspirators, it keeps them from possibly flipping or providing evidence.
• 25:18
Speaker 1: And that is what this has always been about. How
• 25:21
Speaker 1: can Epstein continue to have that cone of silence around
• 25:25
Speaker 1: his operation where none of his lieutenants, where none of
• 25:29
Speaker 1: his co-conspirators come forward and speak out? We're going on, what,
• 25:33
Speaker 1: three years now since he's been dead? Four years now
• 25:36
Speaker 1: since he's been dead? And none of these co-conspirators have
• 25:39
Speaker 1: come out and said a damn word. And that's because
• 25:42
Speaker 1: they all know they got the deal of a lifetime.
• 25:44
Speaker 1: And coming out and talking now, well, what would be
• 25:46
Speaker 1: the point for them? They're already protected by this plea
• 25:50
Speaker 1: deal in Florida, and since there were no concurrent state investigations, well,
• 25:54
Speaker 1: here we are. And to be clear, the government makes
• 26:00
Speaker 1: no habit out of cutting this sort of deal. Nobody
• 26:03
Speaker 1: I spoke to in reporting this piece had ever heard
• 26:06
Speaker 1: of a provision like it, Dershowitz included. When asked if
• 26:09
Speaker 1: the provision would in fact protect anyone who had helped
• 26:13
Speaker 1: Epstein acquire girls, Dershowitz answered, yes, those who helped him
• 26:18
Speaker 1: get girls. I mean, how can you hear that or
• 26:22
Speaker 1: how can you read that or see that and not
• 26:25
Speaker 1: just know that this whole entire thing was completely and
• 26:29
Speaker 1: utterly corrupt? Because that's what it was. Corrupt from the
• 26:33
Speaker 1: very beginning. Corrupt on the end of the prosecution and
• 26:36
Speaker 1: certainly corrupt on the end of Jeffrey Epstein and all
• 26:40
Speaker 1: of his lawyers. I asked why Acosta would have accepted
• 26:45
Speaker 1: such a broad provision in the deal. Dershowitz claimed Epstein
• 26:49
Speaker 1: wouldn't have accepted it unless Acosta did. That's how negotiations go.
• 26:54
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm sure that would work out for El Chapo. Nah,
• 26:56
Speaker 1: you know what? I don't want to go to Flomax,
• 26:58
Speaker 1: so we're not going to negotiate anymore. What do you mean?
• 27:01
Speaker 1: You're the federal government. You dudes are kicking in doors
• 27:04
Speaker 1: on a regular basis and making people disappear if you want.
• 27:07
Speaker 1: But all of a sudden, Jeffrey Epstein, oh, well, we can't,
• 27:11
Speaker 1: you know, go in there and do what we got
• 27:13
Speaker 1: to do because that's how negotiations go. What does that
• 27:16
Speaker 1: even mean? Since when doesn't the federal government just absolutely
• 27:20
Speaker 1: steamroll over people? He also told me the feds had
• 27:25
Speaker 1: a very weak case and that the deal offered to
• 27:27
Speaker 1: Epstein was not a sweetheart deal. I'd be happy to
• 27:30
Speaker 1: tell you if it was because I'd get credit for it.
• 27:33
Speaker 1: You know, this guy is too much, man. This Dershowitz character. Now, look,
• 27:37
  Speaker 1: I don't know if he's guilty or not. I wasn't there.
• 27:39
Speaker 1: I'll tell you, I believe what Virginia has to say, though.
• 27:42
Speaker 1: And I will say this. The guy has been just
• 27:46
Speaker 1: nonsensical throughout this whole thing. All of his explanations, all
• 27:51
Speaker 1: of his reasons why none of it has ever, ever,
• 27:55
Speaker 1: ever been the kind of explanation where you say to yourself, oh, yeah,
• 27:59
Speaker 1: that's logical. That could have happened. That seems like a
• 28:01
Speaker 1: scenario that went down. That comment is absurd, Coven said.
• 28:08
Speaker 1: You know, what is atrocious is the volume and the
• 28:11
Speaker 1: number of victims he had molested. You're telling me that
• 28:14
Speaker 1: there's evidence that you have a serial molester of underage
• 28:17
Speaker 1: girls and allowing him one year in a local jail
• 28:20
Speaker 1: on work release every day is a reasonable deal? That's absurd.
• 28:25
Speaker 1: They just didn't do their jobs. I mean, the U.S.
• 28:27
Speaker 1: Attorney's Office, they completely fell asleep at the switch and
• 28:31
Speaker 1: did not do their job. If they did do their jobs,
• 28:34
Speaker 1: they would have been able to expand this investigation to
• 28:37
Speaker 1: New York, New Mexico, potentially Paris, and his island in
• 28:42
Speaker 1: the U.S. Virgin Islands, and talk to all the girls
• 28:45
Speaker 1: who are now coming forward and telling their stories of
• 28:48
Speaker 1: what happened to them. But they didn't. They just gave up.
• 28:52
Speaker 1: The U.S. Attorney's Office completely gave up on this case
• 28:55
Speaker 1: because they felt, oh, it's just a couple of girls,
• 28:58
Speaker 1: it's not a big deal, and this guy's really rich,
• 29:02
Speaker 1: and he paid all these lawyers to fight us, and
• 29:04
Speaker 1: it's just going to cause too much of a headache. Now,
• 29:07
Speaker 1: what have I been telling you folks pretty much every episode?
• 29:11
Speaker 1: Pretty much exactly that, right? They could have went after him,
• 29:16
Speaker 1: they could have had all these investigations going, but they
• 29:19
Speaker 1: didn't do any of it. Do you really think that
• 29:22
Speaker 1: if this was a criminal enterprise involved in whatever crime
• 29:25
Speaker 1: you want to add, do you think that they would
• 29:28
Speaker 1: have not had state investigations? How many times does somebody
• 29:32
Speaker 1: get done doing a bid for, say, a state bid
• 29:36
Speaker 1: and then they have a federal bid they have to
• 29:37
Speaker 1: do after it or vice versa? And we didn't even
• 29:40
Speaker 1: get to that point because there was never even state
• 29:43
Speaker 1: investigations launched. We heard from Balderas, the attorney general of
• 29:48
Speaker 1: New Mexico. Oh, we're going to punt to the feds.
• 29:52
Speaker 1: Where was Cy Vance's office? Where was the New York
• 29:55
Speaker 1: state prosecutor's office? Well, we know where the prosecutor's office
• 30:00
Speaker 1: down in Florida was. They were in bed with Jeffrey
• 30:02
Speaker 1: Epstein and, you know, popping bottles or whatever the hell
• 30:05
Speaker 1: they were doing behind the scenes at all their fancy
• 30:08
Speaker 1: dinner meetings. We don't know what was going down because,
• 30:10
Speaker 1: you know, Alexander Acosta's emails, they all went missing. So
• 30:14
Speaker 1: there's no paper trail. And, you know, it was just
• 30:16
Speaker 1: an accident. But these people, they truly think that we're stupid.
• 30:22
Speaker 1: And with all of the information that we have at
• 30:24
Speaker 1: our fingertips now, it's not very hard to put the
• 30:27
Speaker 1: pieces together and see that what Spencer Coven just said
• 30:31
Speaker 1: here is an absolute fact. They gave up. They didn't
• 30:34
Speaker 1: care enough to pursue this the way they should have.
• 30:39
Speaker 1: Kevin battled the government in court for over a year
• 30:42
Speaker 1: and a half just to see the copy of the plea,
• 30:45
Speaker 1: only becoming aware of it through a tip that came
• 30:47
Speaker 1: from within the FBI. A year and a half just
• 30:50
Speaker 1: to get the fucking deal, he said. It was unbelievable.
• 30:53
Speaker 1: This was because of yet another baffling provision in the agreement.
• 30:58
Speaker 1: You guys catching on yet? It took him over a
• 31:01
Speaker 1: year to get the plea deal just to take a
• 31:04
Speaker 1: look at it. And this is a lawyer. We're not
• 31:07
Speaker 1: talking about some knucklehead podcast host, you know, hanging out
• 31:10
Speaker 1: in his studio. This is an actual lawyer working the case.
• 31:13
Speaker 1: And this is what he has to deal with. The
• 31:16
Speaker 1: parties anticipate that this agreement will not be made part
• 31:20
Speaker 1: of any public record. If the United States receives a
• 31:23
Speaker 1: Freedom of Information Act request or any compulsory process commanding
• 31:27
Speaker 1: the disclosure of the agreement, it will provide notice to
• 31:30
Speaker 1: Epstein before making that disclosure. So basically, the government is
• 31:35
Speaker 1: going to check with their boss, Jeffrey Epstein, to see
• 31:37
Speaker 1: if it's OK. Breaking news, Jeffrey Epstein's bitch ass should
• 31:42
Speaker 1: never be in charge of what you or I are
• 31:45
Speaker 1: reading or able to attain as far as information. I mean,
• 31:49
Speaker 1: for real, for real. This cover up was recently found
• 31:55
Speaker 1: to be illegal. For those who think that perhaps money
• 31:58
Speaker 1: and power prevailed and that connections to high-ranking individuals could
• 32:03
Speaker 1: exercise their influence, it cannot be ruled out, said Gloria Allred,
• 32:07
Speaker 1: who is planning to file a lawsuit in New York
• 32:09
Speaker 1: on behalf of several of Epstein's survivors. I don't see
• 32:13
Speaker 1: a rational basis for it. I'm trying to stretch and
• 32:15
Speaker 1: think from the prosecutor's point of view as to why
• 32:18
Speaker 1: they would accept this kind of deal. Such a broad
• 32:21
Speaker 1: immunity that appears to be agreed to for potential alleged co-conspirators.
• 32:26
Speaker 1: And I can't see any reason why they would accept
• 32:29
Speaker 1: that or why they would want to cover it up.
• 32:31
Speaker 1: So can you imagine even Nancy Gloria Allred over here
• 32:36
Speaker 1: thinks it's crazy. And you all know how I feel
• 32:38
Speaker 1: about her, but she's not wrong. Why would the government
• 32:42
Speaker 1: not want to give this information out, even if it
• 32:45
Speaker 1: was a Freedom of Information Act? Why are you so
• 32:47
Speaker 1: worried that the public knows about this plea deal? Oh,
• 32:50
Speaker 1: this is why. You see how crazy we're all going
• 32:53
Speaker 1: over it? This is why they didn't want it to
• 32:55
Speaker 1: be public knowledge. Because they look bad and they knew
• 32:58
Speaker 1: they would look bad, but they did it anyway. Allred
• 33:04
Speaker 1: is not one for conspiracy theories, but she said, there's
• 33:07
Speaker 1: a basis for people not to trust the answers that
• 33:09
Speaker 1: are coming out, saying he committed suicide. She was referring
• 33:13
Speaker 1: to the 2007 plea deal. I think the survivors deserve
• 33:16
Speaker 1: the truth, and right now, they don't have it. She continued,
• 33:20
Speaker 1: the prosecution has a lot of explaining to do, and
• 33:23
Speaker 1: I don't think they can explain this. There is no
• 33:25
Speaker 1: good answer. It doesn't exist. And that's why you can't
• 33:29
Speaker 1: find it. Sometimes not finding the answer is the answer.
• 33:33
Speaker 1: She is not wrong about any of that. But once again, folks,
• 33:36
Speaker 1: I just wanted to hammer home the fact that it
• 33:39
Speaker 1: was all really a sham. There was no competing investigations,
• 33:43
Speaker 1: no concurrent investigations in these other states like there should
• 33:47
Speaker 1: have been. And then when we get to a point
• 33:49
Speaker 1: where Glenn Maxwell is getting prosecuted, that's awesome. And I'm
• 33:53
Speaker 1: all for that, obviously. But what about the other co-conspirators
• 33:56
Speaker 1: that have been mentioned throughout in these court documents that
• 33:59
Speaker 1: were protected under this plea deal? Because again, remember, these
• 34:02
Speaker 1: plea deals don't protect, this plea deal does not protect
• 34:05
Speaker 1: them outside of Florida. So what's the holdup? And what's
• 34:10
Speaker 1: a state like New Mexico waiting for? I guess I'll
• 34:14
Speaker 1: be waiting quite some time to get that answer. That's
• 34:18
Speaker 1: going to do it for this one, folks. If you'd
• 34:20
Speaker 1: like to contact me, you can do that at bobbycapucci
• 34:23
  Speaker 1: at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can also find
• 34:31
Speaker 1: me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The link that
• 34:38
Speaker 1: I discussed can be found in the description box. What's up, everyone,
• 34:43
Speaker 1: and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. The Department of Justice,
• 34:50
Speaker 1: for all of their bluster and all of their platitudes,
• 34:54
Speaker 1: has done nothing to stop or get rid of the
• 34:57
Speaker 1: deal that Jeffrey Epstein signed down in Florida. In fact,
• 35:02
Speaker 1: they say that that deal has to stand. And they
• 35:06
Speaker 1: made this statement, this ruling. All the way back in 2019,
• 35:12
Speaker 1: and the rest of the courts, including the appeals court,
• 35:15
Speaker 1: the Supreme Court, all of them, well, they've decided that
• 35:19
Speaker 1: instead of going for justice here and exposing, obviously, rotten
• 35:24
Speaker 1: procedures and rotten bureaucrats, that they were just going to
• 35:28
Speaker 1: whitewash it all and act like nothing even happened. Ah, well,
• 35:32
Speaker 1: he got the plea deal. It was not the right
• 35:35
Speaker 1: thing to do. And the prosecutor showed some bad judgment,
• 35:38
Speaker 1: but all we're going to do is apologize for it. Well,
• 35:43
Speaker 1: that's not good enough. You mean to tell me nobody
• 35:45
Speaker 1: lost their job? Nobody lost their pension? Nobody had to
• 35:49
Speaker 1: go and stand before a congressional committee or anything like that?
• 35:56
Speaker 1: How is that even possible when there is obviously a
• 36:00
Speaker 1: lot wrong here? The whole entire system is set up
• 36:04
Speaker 1: for people like Jeffrey Epstein to be able to beat
• 36:06
Speaker 1: shit like this and get back out on the streets quickly. Meanwhile,
• 36:11
Speaker 1: the rest of us, if you jaywalk, you don't pay
• 36:15
Speaker 1: your taxes, whatever it is, you better believe they're coming
• 36:18
Speaker 1: for you with the full brunt of the federal government
• 36:21
Speaker 1: or the local police force. You think you're getting a
• 36:24
Speaker 1: good sweetheart deal? Highly doubtful, my friend. But if you're
• 36:28
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and you're rubbing shoulders with all of these bigwigs,
• 36:32
Speaker 1: you're hanging out with ex-presidents, you're hanging out with ex-prime ministers,
• 36:36
Speaker 1: I guess when you get a deal like this, the
• 36:38
Speaker 1: court lets it stand. Today's article is from NPR. Headline,
• 36:44
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's sex offender plea deal must stand, federal prosecutors say.
• 36:50
Speaker 1: This article was published on June 25th of 2019. And
• 36:56
Speaker 1: it was authored by Greg Allen. Federal prosecutors say a
• 37:06
Speaker 1: lenient plea deal struck more than a decade ago with
• 37:09
Speaker 1: multimillionaire and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein should be allowed
• 37:13
Speaker 1: to stand. That's your government, folks. Remember, that's the Department
• 37:17
Speaker 1: of Justice, the federal government of the United States, telling
• 37:20
Speaker 1: you that the Jeffrey Epstein deal should stand. Now, why
• 37:24
Speaker 1: would they do that? What do they have to lose
• 37:27
Speaker 1: if the deal goes bye bye? Well, we all know
• 37:30
Speaker 1: if the deal wasn't there in the first place and
• 37:33
Speaker 1: they would have really cast a net over the whole operation,
• 37:37
Speaker 1: it would have exposed so many people that the DOJ
• 37:40
Speaker 1: has no desire to expose. And that's just the facts
• 37:45
Speaker 1: of the situation, because if they wanted to expose these people,
• 37:48
Speaker 1: they could have. Instead, Epstein got this sweetheart of a
• 37:52
Speaker 1: deal and they thought that everything was just going to
• 37:54
Speaker 1: go away and they'd never have to deal with this
• 37:57
Speaker 1: ever again. They weren't counting on social media. They weren't
• 38:02
Speaker 1: counting on the survivors taking their story directly to social
• 38:06
Speaker 1: media and directly to you. And we see how that
• 38:11
Speaker 1: is all snowballed. But they really thought that they were
• 38:14
Speaker 1: going to get away with all of this. Remember, this
• 38:16
Speaker 1: was a secret deal. Nobody even knew about this deal.
• 38:21
Speaker 1: Until it was exposed by different reporters and people digging
• 38:25
Speaker 1: into it, the government, they were content on not letting
• 38:28
Speaker 1: anyone know what went down here. That's your Justice Department, folks.
• 38:33
Speaker 1: Take a good hard look at it. Epstein was charged
• 38:39
Speaker 1: with recruiting dozens of girls, some as young as 13,
• 38:42
Speaker 1: for massages and sex at his mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.
• 38:46
Speaker 1: Massages and sex at Epstein's were the same thing. So
• 38:49
Speaker 1: anyone talking about a massage in regards to Epstein, you
• 38:53
Speaker 1: know exactly what they were talking about. It's no different
• 38:56
Speaker 1: than if we were out partying and you're talking about
• 38:58
Speaker 1: blow and you say, hey, let me get some yay.
• 39:01
Speaker 1: We know what you're talking about. You want a little
• 39:02
Speaker 1: bit of cocaine. So when they're talking about massages over here,
• 39:07
Speaker 1: they're talking about the same thing, except they mean sex.
• 39:11
Speaker 1: Under a plea deal reached in 2007 with then U.S.
• 39:15
Speaker 1: attorney Alex Acosta, well, that's not exactly true. I mean,
• 39:20
Speaker 1: it is, but it's not right. They omit some things here,
• 39:23
Speaker 1: not just with Acosta, with the whole ass Department of Justice.
• 39:27
Speaker 1: Don't put Acosta up here as the fall guy so
• 39:29
Speaker 1: that nobody focusing on the Department of Justice and their
• 39:33
Speaker 1: missteps and their protection of Epstein. It wasn't just Acosta
• 39:37
Speaker 1: on his own. Old boy can't make those kinds of decisions.
• 39:42
Speaker 1: Epstein was given immunity from federal prosecution and pleaded guilty
• 39:46
Speaker 1: to lesser state charges. The financier, pedophile, served just 13
• 39:51
Speaker 1: months in county jail and was granted work release, allowing
• 39:54
Speaker 1: him to spend his days at his Palm Beach office.
• 39:58
Speaker 1: Acosta now serves as President Trump's labor secretary. Not anymore,
• 40:02
Speaker 1: he doesn't. He got ran right out of office, didn't he?
• 40:05
Speaker 1: You know, it's funny, though. You see the way that
• 40:07
Speaker 1: Acosta was treated, right? How he was chased out of office,
• 40:10
Speaker 1: how he was hounded continuously. You would think that a
• 40:14
Speaker 1: guy like Bill Richardson would be getting the same treatment.
• 40:17
Speaker 1: But instead, we see him going over to Russia and
• 40:20
Speaker 1: acting as an emissary for the United States government. So
• 40:24
Speaker 1: you mean to tell me you're OK with a guy
• 40:25
Speaker 1: who is credibly accused by Virginia Roberts of partaking in
• 40:29
Speaker 1: all of this disgustingness as a representative of the president
• 40:34
Speaker 1: and the United States? We're cool with that. I'm not
• 40:39
Speaker 1: cool with any of it. I'm not cool with Alexander Acosta,
• 40:42
Speaker 1: and I'm certainly not cool with Bill Richardson. For more
• 40:47
Speaker 1: than a decade, attorneys representing sex abuse victims in the
• 40:51
Speaker 1: case have said that their clients weren't informed of the
• 40:54
Speaker 1: plea deal beforehand or given the opportunity to testify about
• 40:58
Speaker 1: it in court. In February, U.S. District Judge Kenneth Mara
• 41:02
Speaker 1: ruled that the omission by prosecutors violated the Crime Victims
• 41:06
Speaker 1: Rights Act. He ordered the government and lawyers for the
• 41:09
Speaker 1: victims to propose a remedy. See, this is the problem.
• 41:13
Speaker 1: I don't want no goddamn remedy, okay? Here's what I want.
• 41:16
Speaker 1: I want people to lose their jobs. The same way
• 41:20
Speaker 1: that you or I would lose our job if we
• 41:21
Speaker 1: were negligent in doing it, I want that same treatment
• 41:25
Speaker 1: for the people here. If you were involved in making
• 41:28
Speaker 1: these decisions, you shouldn't be making these decisions anymore. Because
• 41:35
Speaker 1: what happened here was obviously way, way out of bounds.
• 41:41
Speaker 1: And the fact that nobody has been punished for it
• 41:43
Speaker 1: is just a lot to wrap our minds around. In
• 41:48
Speaker 1: a motion filed last month, lawyers for two survivors identified
• 41:52
Speaker 1: only as Jane Doe 1 and 2 asked that the
• 41:54
Speaker 1: investigation be reopened and that they receive an apology from prosecutors.
• 42:00
Speaker 1: This week, prosecutors responded in their motion. They conceded the
• 42:03
Speaker 1: government should have told abuse survivors about the plea deal
• 42:07
Speaker 1: before it was presented in court. But they say the
• 42:10
Speaker 1: law gives the government broad discretion in deciding whether or
• 42:14
Speaker 1: not to prosecute. And at this point, prosecutors say survivors
• 42:18
Speaker 1: have no right to demand an apology or anything from
• 42:21
Speaker 1: the government. Imagine the audacity of the Department of Justice. Now, remember,
• 42:26
Speaker 1: this is the Bill Barr Department of Justice that had
• 42:29
Speaker 1: this response. But where's Merrick Garland? I thought Merrick Garland
• 42:33
Speaker 1: was this great guy and he's going to be this
• 42:35
Speaker 1: great attorney general who's going to change the world. Told
• 42:38
Speaker 1: you that wasn't going to happen, didn't I? Hate to
• 42:40
Speaker 1: be the bearer of bad news over here, but they're
• 42:43
Speaker 1: all the same. All of these people are the same.
• 42:46
Speaker 1: And all of these people that get in the office,
• 42:48
Speaker 1: they've all had jobs throughout government for all of these
• 42:50
Speaker 1: years while Epstein was active. What did they ever do
• 42:53
Speaker 1: to step in? Did they ever step in and say, hey, look,
• 42:56
Speaker 1: the government is completely at fault here. And we want
• 42:59
Speaker 1: to have an absolute auditing of everything that went on.
• 43:03
Speaker 1: Has Congress demanded every single file that has to do
• 43:07
Speaker 1: with Epstein or what happened in that jail? Have they
• 43:10
Speaker 1: subpoenaed anybody? See, so the proof is in the pudding.
• 43:14
Speaker 1: These people can talk all they want. They can use
• 43:16
Speaker 1: all the great, fantastic words they learned at fine lad
• 43:20
Speaker 1: school and platitudes and all the rest of it. But
• 43:23
Speaker 1: when it really comes down to it, And you really
• 43:26
Speaker 1: chop it up. The fact is this, the government and
• 43:30
Speaker 1: all of these people who have been in positions for
• 43:32
Speaker 1: all of these years just does not care. And it's
• 43:35
Speaker 1: all about cover your ass. Even when it comes to
• 43:38
Speaker 1: the federal government, you really think that they're going to
• 43:40
Speaker 1: admit that they were in the wrong here, even after
• 43:43
Speaker 1: Judge Mara came out and told them that they were.
• 43:49
Speaker 1: As for requests that the court invalidate the plea deal
• 43:52
Speaker 1: in order the government to reopen the investigation, prosecutors say
• 43:56
Speaker 1: the court simply doesn't have the authority. Well, it should
• 43:58
Speaker 1: have the authority. And if it doesn't have the authority,
• 44:03
Speaker 1: then there needs to be a body that does. So
• 44:06
Speaker 1: can we get to the Oversight Committee in Congress? What
• 44:09
Speaker 1: about the Senate? Are you folks too busy dog walking
• 44:12
Speaker 1: us into World War Three or what's going on here?
• 44:15
Speaker 1: Nobody wants to do their job. Because it seems to
• 44:18
Speaker 1: me that all we have is like one gigantic ass
• 44:21
Speaker 1: wrestling organization running around like they're politicians. You know, making
• 44:25
Speaker 1: pretend they hate each other and then breaking bread together
• 44:28
Speaker 1: and getting rich behind the scenes. Yeah, that's exactly what
• 44:30
Speaker 1: I feel like is going on. Shit's all political theater
• 44:34
Speaker 1: to them. But while these douchebags play their Game of Thrones,
• 44:38
Speaker 1: there is real life consequences for people here. And these
• 44:41
Speaker 1: survivors who have been absolutely stomped on at every turn,
• 44:45
Speaker 1: they deserve some redress from the government, especially. Isn't it
• 44:48
Speaker 1: the Department of Justice's job to stop somebody like Epstein
• 44:52
Speaker 1: when they know about him? Did they do that? No,
• 44:56
Speaker 1: they didn't, right? So? Where's the issue? They're the ones
• 45:00
Speaker 1: who didn't do their job. They're the ones who were negligent.
• 45:03
Speaker 1: So they're the ones who should have to answer for that.
• 45:08
Speaker 1: In the motion, BJ Pack, the U.S. attorney for the
• 45:11
Speaker 1: Northern District of Georgia, writes that such an order would
• 45:14
Speaker 1: violate or fall perilously close to violating the separation of
• 45:18
Speaker 1: powers doctrine undergirding our democracy. Oh, it's always about our democracy, right?
• 45:24
Speaker 1: I'm so tired of that platitude as well. Oh, we
• 45:27
Speaker 1: got to do it for our democracy. What does that
• 45:29
Speaker 1: even mean? I'm going to need you to explain that
• 45:31
Speaker 1: for me. What is our shared democracy that you're so
• 45:35
Speaker 1: crowing about all the time? PAC took over the case
• 45:38
Speaker 1: earlier this year after prosecutors in the South Florida U.S.
• 45:41
Speaker 1: Attorney's Office, formerly headed by Acosta, recused themselves. So why
• 45:46
Speaker 1: did it go to Georgia, okay? First of all, why
• 45:49
Speaker 1: would Bill Barr assign this case to Georgia as if
• 45:51
Speaker 1: Georgia has anything to do with this shit? See, it's
• 45:55
Speaker 1: all just such a big, gigantic, ball of shit. And
• 45:59
Speaker 1: it's infuriating, isn't it? The government says the deal it
• 46:06
Speaker 1: made with Epstein should be allowed to stand. Acknowledging the
• 46:09
Speaker 1: failure to properly notify survivors, PAC said prosecutors would meet
• 46:13
Speaker 1: with them privately or allow them to testify at a
• 46:16
Speaker 1: public hearing. And PAC said all prosecutors in Florida's Southern
• 46:19
Speaker 1: District would receive additional training in the Crime Victims Rights Act. Oh, well,
• 46:24
Speaker 1: it's all... Guess what? You know what? They're going to
• 46:26
Speaker 1: get extra training, folks, so it's all good. Nobody should
• 46:29
Speaker 1: be held accountable. Meanwhile, if you F up too many
• 46:33
  Speaker 1: orders at the drive-thru at McDonald's, you're looking for a
• 46:35
Speaker 1: new job. But at the Department of Justice, you just
• 46:37
Speaker 1: get retrained. Nobody's okay with this shit anymore. And all
• 46:44
Speaker 1: of this institutional silence, all of this covering up for
• 46:48
Speaker 1: each other, it has to end. And the only way
• 46:50
Speaker 1: that's ever going to happen is if we demand it
• 46:53
Speaker 1: to happen. So, I don't know about you, but If
• 46:57
Speaker 1: Congress wants to have a bunch of hearings and the
• 46:59
Speaker 1: Senate wants to have hearings on all sorts of crazy stuff, well,
• 47:02
Speaker 1: I would think that they'd find some time here to
• 47:04
Speaker 1: take a look. Because I don't know how anyone can
• 47:07
Speaker 1: read a statement like that from the Department of Justice
• 47:09
Speaker 1: and not be enraged. All right, folks, well, there you
• 47:13
Speaker 1: have it. Another look at the Department of Justice and
• 47:16
Speaker 1: their do-nothing response in regard to Jeffrey Epstein, his crimes,
• 47:21
Speaker 1: and the fact that the survivors were absolutely steamrolled by
• 47:25
Speaker 1: the prosecution. If you'd like to contact me, you can
