Thank you for those really kind words. No one's ever said anything like that to me before. Ever classy, Casey: Aww, no problem. Blake: that's a that's a great one. That's a great one. I I Casey: And I mean it. Blake: and I I I knew that you did, I believe that you did. I felt every syllable, I felt every letter, I felt every utterance that went into it. And right back at you is all I can really say. Casey: Thank you so much. Blake: But I I'm just really happy to be here with you tonight. Casey: Wanna start crying so quickly. Blake: I just wanna say thank you to everyone who listened to our last episode, Best of Nini Motherfucking Leaks. great reception. Great reception to that episode. Very happy we could oblige the masses. Casey: Thank you guys. Thank you all. Thank you, Nene. Thank you to my my parents. Blake: Ha ha. Casey: Thank you. Blake: Bravo TV, thank you to Shed Media. Casey: Yeah. Blake: what's the other one? who knows? It doesn't really matter. Casey: Girl, I don't know. That's for the accounts that like stalk those those random like pr producer Instagrams that are like casting alert and then they're never fucking casting. Like, okay. Blake: It's like a fake account. It's like like looking for moms who live in Nebraska. It's like, okay. Casey: It's an Instagram story font being like Whitney Rose fired casting new housewife of Salt Lake City. Like comment below. Like Okay. Blake: It's an account that was started last week and we're supposed to think it's like it's like a an insider at Bravo. Like, okay. Okay, we can play along. You do, you do really like. I feel like you had to learn early on how to like decipher the like fake Whitney Rose fired Casey: yeah. Blake: like blind items. Cause I feel like I feel like there's one every like every year. It's like Casey: I fall for so I fell for one where I like got up in arms because you know I don't play about sis and like it was obviously fake and like I was like, No, this looks too real. Like I need to shut this down. Like people are gonna believe this one. Like I I was like She never there's no way she could have said this, but like it was like a DM. It was a fake DM of her, Blake: Wait, what was the what was the Casey: I think, saying she was leaving the show. And I was like, no. If she's DMing any fan accounts that it's better be my ass. So that can't be real. Blake: I think I remember that I was like, there's no way in hell she's just casually being like Casey: And I immediately messaged her and was like, Is this real? And she was like, literally, no. I would never say that. Like, please, please debunk this. And I was like, I'm on it. Like, say no more. And I immediately was like, I just talked to Whitney and she said this isn't true, you guys. Blake: my good friend Whitney, Whitney Rose. Casey: My friend. Like, don't we don't play. I don't play about sis, she don't play about me. I'm making the second part up, but Blake: No, I was actually just telling I I was just telling someone, like, Bronwyn and Heather, like I've really and Angie, like I'm kinda like I've just soured on all of them, but there's something about Whitney to me that's like she's not a part of that group. Like th she's like a separate entity. Like I don't ever get Casey: She's omniscient. Blake: anno yeah, I don't get annoyed. Yes, she's like omnipresent, like godlike. Casey: Yeah. Blake: I don't get like annoyed with her in connection with the other shenanigans for some reason. Like she's just like She n she does it in a better way, if that makes sense. Casey: Her birthday was just recently. Happy B Day to the Blake: Is she a Virgo? Casey: to the wild rose. I think she's a Libra, isn't it? Libra? I think it's Libra. Blake: is it Libra now? Yeah, I guess it is. Casey: She's forty, her youth. Blake: Wow. Casey: I know. And I posted a a edit of her and someone reposted it and said her cotton candy heart. And I was like, Aww, her cotton candy heart. That is so cute. She so Blake: Wait, that's that's so beautiful. Casey: does have a cotton candy heart. Like liked five Stasi's backhand, Blake: Ha ha Casey: like immediately. That is so kind. I was like, Aww, I love that. I I don't know. I've never heard it either. my I'm gonna start crying for real. It's really sweet. Like it's really sweet. Like people are s that's what I mean, people are so mean to her. Like she has a cotton candy heart. Like don't be mean to her. But to get back to the the topic at hand for for this week's episode, we are revisiting an iconic season that is most well known for a physical altercation that if it doesn't immediately come to mind, I guess you'll have to wait wait and find out. No spoilers, but Blake: Even though they they s they flash they like allude to it several times in like the like Casey: Right away. Blake: six episodes before it actually happens, like immediately they're like they're like showing shattered like veggie trays on the ground and like shattered wine glasses and they're like seven weeks earlier and it's like, okay. Casey: It's amazing. It's very similar to the Salt Lake City, the way that they like Cut the arrest footage at the start of the season. You're kind of just question Blake: yeah. Casey: mark what what what else is going on? But they Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: do they do set it up pretty heavily. Even like when the episode starts where the fight happens later on, they do like this long ass like recap with like their whole friendship and like flashes forward, like cut. Blake: Like you would think someone died. The that they are Casey: No, for real. Blake: so dramatic about it. Casey: But yes, season five is great. It's actually so great. We were really enjoying our our rewatch. and it begins, well I guess if you're unfamiliar with the cast, we have pretty much the the whole gang. We have Karen, we have Giselle, we have Robin, Candace, Monique, and Wendy's first season on the scene. Blake: Yes, Wendy's Day be you and then Charisse kind of makes some appearances here and there. W right. Casey: Right. She's always she's omnipresent. Like she is always around. Blake: She'll find her way around an invitation. She will find her way period. Casey: One thing about Cherisse, she will attend. Period. But yeah, season five has a stacked cast, so you know we're in a good spot. But where we kind of get the episode one, you know, set up of everybody, we start with Monique and her bird, T'Challa, you know, getting a nice shot of them interacting in the home, and she's taking the bird with her. on her shoulder down the street to Karen's new house. And they both actually live in Potomac at this point. No one else does. Blake: Yeah, Karen Karen has just like removed back to Potomac from from something springs, something falls, Virginia or something. Wherever Casey: Probably Virginia, Baltimore, yeah. Blake: the fuck she was like renting from before, and now she's renting in Potomac again. Casey: Yeah, and they live like two minutes apart. Like so she drives down the street like thirty seconds down to Karen's house and takes the bird and this is the first time that The theme begins of all of the women hating this bird. But the bird Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: and baby Dean, Ashley's new baby, are ever present this season. They attend Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: just as many functions as some of the women, more than Charisse, honestly. Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: and that's where Ashley is at. She just had her first child with Michael, and they had a rocky couple of months a year, however long. And like Ashley and Ashley's Blake: Rocky couple of the entire marriage. Casey: talking about this like while she's like, you know, saying they're so happy with their new baby. And she's like, we're we're closer than ever now. Like, you know, we did have some issues. And they edit in like a case file and they zoom in on the words sexual harassment and then like a stamped dismissed sticker like flies in on it while Ashley is talking. Like the editing is crazy work and like you know we had some issues and it's your husband being accused Blake: Being a pervert. Casey: of sexual harassment. Yeah and being a major perv. Like but now it's all good. We have a baby so let's let's move on. Blake: But now every life is peachy and my husband's definitely Casey: Mm. Blake: like not a pervert because it was dismissed. It wasn't Casey: Hehehe Blake: this when he was accused of like squeezing a producer's like ass cheek or something? Like right, okay. Right. Casey: Yes. Yes. And sp speaking of bad decisions with men, Giselle is getting Blake: Mm. Casey: back with her ex-husband, Pastor Jamal Bryant. And she's also adding on the West Wing to her home as she as she refers to it. So she has a home renovation and a life denovation renovation. Demolition. I don't I Blake: Demolition. Casey: don't know what the opposite would be. Blake: That was I liked that you were trying though, like the the g the cogs were turning, the gears were shifting, and we got there. We landed the plane. Casey: That's right. That's right. That's right. Sorta. We landed the plane in the water and it was an emergency landing, but no one died. So woohoo. Blake: We're in lifeboats, but we're alive. Casey: Candace is celebrating her anniversary with her husband who I also don't like. Like there isn't really like a great husband in this batch. I guess Ray is fine. Eddie is fine, besides like the fraud, I know. Blake: Not not in this season. Yeah, Eddie's fine. Ray's not great this season. actually Juan Casey: Monique's husband sucks. Candace husband sucks. Blake: Juan is like fine this season, cu which we'll get to. I mean I guess No, that's true. Ma and you know why I take it back? Casey: Yeah, but can we forgive him? I don't know. Well, speaking of Juan, they are Still in a situation ship, him and Robin, like they're divorced but living together and dating, question mark slash sort of maybe being okay with him seeing other people sometimes. But at this point in season five, they're like pretty much committed to like getting on board with just being back together and and, you know, being a team. And they are discussing moving into a new home. And Robin basically says If I'm re moving into a home with you, like if we're buying a house together, then we're we n we're getting remarried. Like I'm not playing this game anymore. Like, you know, they he's the father of her Blake: Like, be serious. Casey: children. They live together. Like I would I'd like, Yeah, like what are we what are we doing? Like Blake: We're gonna we're gonna purchase a home in both of our names after we've we got divorced but never like stopped living together and raising our kids together. So like is what's happening here? Like, do you have a girlfriend? Do I have a boyfriend? Are we moving in with them? 'Cause what's happening? Casey: Like it's literally the situationship final boss. Like what a nightmare. Blake: a divorcee situationship. Like, honestly, I forgot how in Casey: Who Blake: the trenches we were with Robin. Casey: I know and I love her. Like I for some reason she just appeals to me. You know how it is with certain housewives and me. Like they just call to me and I I can't Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: I can't turn down the the call. I have to answer. And I was in the trenches Blake: The the bat signal. Casey: trying to defend her when like all of this was happening. Like I just I just chose to ignore her. I just chose to move on and and not speak on it. But it's tough. It's definitely tough. Blake: Wait, I completely forgot like what you're you were referring to, but like the recent like the when like the season that her last season when he was like paying for some girls' hotel crazy. It's really funny because there's like a parallel to what happens with Ashley and Michael and how like she like chooses to believe Michael's fucked up story that like clearly is not true. And then like Juan's story where he's like he's like, she just told me she had no money and needed a hotel room, so I I got her one. I'm like, You just bought a random woman a hotel room but like didn't go like you had nothing to do with it? Like whatever, I guess. Casey: So true, yeah. Like it's it's the Jax Taylor way of of male manipulation, of like admitting to a partial truth to make it seem like you're telling the truth. And technically you are. You're telling a truth, just not the whole truth. So like they Blake: Just not the whole truth. Casey: like give themselves such like a pat on the back, like, nice job, like you really came clean, like and now we can put it to bed. Like it's all the same. Blake: Yeah, and then the the woman is just like, well, like that does seem like something that happened and they're they like don't want to like they just don't want to go any further and like press it. So they're like, Okay, well that wasn't a lie. I'll take it. It's like, okay, but it was Yeah, Casey: Okay. What whatever floats your boat, I guess. Blake: yeah. my god, Ashley and Robin just wow, they were in clown school for a couple seasons. A lot of seasons. Casey: It's it's so tragic. Such beautiful women, such bird brain activities going on. It's you hate to see it. It's a terrible combination for for the beautifully the beautiful and damned, as it turns out. and like that's the cast of the Real Housewives of Potomac. Blake: Beautiful and damned So many of the women are beautiful and damned like fuck Casey: Beautiful and damned by these evil men. I mean that's true for like any Housewives franchise, but I feel like I feel that the most consistent bad batches of husbands are in Potomac. And maybe I mean Beverly Hills at a time was bad. Blake: Orange County. Casey: yeah. Atlanta Blake: Yeah, Beverly Hills is pretty bad. Casey: Atlanta they aren't like the worst, but I personally like they annoy me the most because they get the most screen time. Like I feel like the the husbands in the ATL. So like I have more of Blake: That's true. That's true. Casey: a cross to bear with like Peter Thomas and like Apollo and those flops. Blake: There was a Yeah, I mean the Salt Lake husbands, they were trying to make that happen for a while, but I feel like Yeah, they're f they're fine. Seth is pretty bad. Seth is pretty bad. Casey: They're fine. I don't I the only you know how I feel about Seth Marks. But the rest of them I'm fine with. Blake: Yeah, that's true. And we have Candace and Monique who are just coming off of like a horrible season four beef that they are like Making they're like trying to move on from they like hugged at the reunion and like it seems like they might be in a better place but doesn't last too long. Casey: No, definitely not. But for the beginning, it's like a tentative piece. They're moving towards a better place from from season four. They like made up at the reunion. They'd been they'd gone out a couple times since then. So all is fine. And she has her anniversary party. That's like our opener group event. And one thing that's funny is when they like are touring for this venue. The the lady showing them around, it's like, what's your budget for the for the space? And Candace goes, I think around five. I said five thousand and the woman goes, Okay, so this is around twenty two Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: but then they book it. So I don't know Blake: I noticed that, but I was like, was the twenty-two including like an unlimited bar? And then if you drop the unlimited bar, it's like way cheaper? Casey: Well I was just gonna say, in my mind I was like, you know, how is that profitable for Frido Lay? But they have a cash bar. So that's probably it. They probably like downgraded it to beer and wine only cash bar and called it a day. And I is it really that much money Blake: I mean Casey: for a bar? Probably not, but they probably like downgraded certain things and evened it out. But that's classless. I will never have a cash bar. Blake: Cash bar is so cas yeah. Casey: If I'm having an event and there has to be a cash bar, then the event won't be held. It'll be cancelled. Blake: Or just get a smaller venue. Like just get a venue that's like not as fucking crazy and go ham on the drinks. Like people aren't gonna remember it anyway. But if people have to pay for their fucking drinks, like I'm Casey: Right. They'll forget they'll forget the ambiance if you have a bar that's open. Blake: You could have your first year anniversary like anywhere. Nobody would care as long as you're paying for their drinks. Casey: Well then like if you really wanna be cheap about it, go like corporate cheap, like do open bar for the first two hours and then you're on your Blake: Yeah. Casey: own. And then people are like, okay, I mean it's a little day class to be cut off, but at least I got to maximize my drink time for like the first two hours. So say la vie. Right. Put it put in your work. Get get to it. Don't dilly dally. Blake: Right. If you show up on time, two hours, just or like order like four drinks at once. Yeah. Lock in and just ignore the fact that Sharice is there and keep drinking. Casey: Right. And Sharice being there is a is an issue. And like it'll develop into a little bit more of an issue, but no note that. But for the moment, let's let's discuss Wendy's debut. cause It's a little bit of a different Wendy than we have nowadays. I mean, now we have a Wendy that c could be facing jail time, so that's definitely different. But she looks different. She sounds a little different. Like her like mannerisms are different. I think she's changed a lot. It's funny to watch her from Blake: yeah. Casey: this point. Blake: The show defin like t Wendy to me is I would say one of the like top examples of the show like a a season two like glow up in a housewife like physically and also like through behavior. Like she clearly didn't know a hundred percent what she was getting herself into and I think like she'd only existed in like professional spaces before and I will say like I think she quickly picked up on the fact that like this is not a professional type of show. Like you're supposed to cuss and clap back and like, you know, throw butter knives at people. And I think that in between the season and next, like when she gets like some work done, and that's when she kind of starts to be like in my opinion a bit performative and like going too hard. But to me, like, yeah, this Wendy did not know what she was getting herself into. Casey: No, and it's funny that you say that 'cause I had that like kind of the opposite thought where I was like, damn, like s for some women this show like really gets them a boost and like they leave their horrible husbands and they end up looking better, feeling better, like having their own income. But in Wendy's situation, like she was like kind of not kind of, she was an accredited professor and political correspondent, turned housewife, owner of Candle Business, now potential prison inmate. Like that's tough. Blake: I do think there was a severe case of keeping up with the Joneses that like she contracted Casey: Yeah, yeah. Blake: by being on the show. And I also think that and I I don't this is like a next season thing or maybe it's this season, I actually don't know. But it's definitely like it's either the second half of this season or next, but when she's talking to her mom about how much pressure there was on her to like have four degrees and like the best fucking job ever and like be this certain person, like it's clear that she never felt fulfilled doing that but felt just like that's what she had to do because of like how she was raised and like her culture. Casey: For sure, yeah. Blake: So I think like this was like a way for her to like, wait, I could just like be sort of like a media personality and like just have fun. Yeah. Casey: Yeah, it gave her like an out from some of like that I'm sure that was like very high pressure and very like time consuming as well. 'Cause they have a lot of children. Like at this point they have three and I think they have Blake: Yeah. Casey: more now. I feel like they have like five children. Blake: Honestly don't even fucking know. I d I I Casey: Once again, if we had a fact checker, I'd have them look it up right now, but I'm lazy and don't really care. Blake: It's not that important for th for our purposes. We d really don't need to know. Casey: Whatever. Next. And Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: one last thing about Candace's party that's funny is she is giving a speech, Candice, and she thanks her mom. And she, you know, also then turns to Karen and says, I also want to thank you, Karen. You're such a great role model for me, you know, in every area. It's a little bit of an ass kissing, but she says, especially in marriage, Karen literally takes the mic from her and goes. into a tirade of me and Ray aren't in a in a great place right now. Like we're we're not in a happy place. We don't have sex. You know marriage is tough. Like at their anniversary party after Candace said like they're such an inspiration to me. I I want to have a marriage just like them. Mic grab. It marriage sucks. Blake: She's like, yeah, so you know, I'm really happy for you and you know, me and Ray are it's not great. It's it's really horrible actually, and we're we're working on it. We're trying to figure it out, and things are tough, and everyone is like This is not like about you. Like you were supposed to give a Casey: Right. Blake: speech about Candace, not like Casey: You were supposed to either mention just her if things are really that bad for you, or just give a pleasant marriage is amazing. I wish you all all Blake: He Casey: the lasting luck, like me and my husband, you know. Case is close. And then Candace's Blake: Cheers everyone. Casey: mom follows her up with another horrible speech. I mean, she wanted Mama Joyce's nachos. that's that's how we begin the season and it has resounding themes from all of their like intro episode throughout the whole season. Blake: Yeah, it's a great it's a great way to start and I think another so we move into episode two and it and this episode introduces how strange the dynamics are this season because Giselle and Monique, who have famously and if you listen to our actually this is our f debut episode was when we talked about Potomac last. And that was episode that was season two when Monique started on the show. So Giselle and Monique have never been friends. Like they've always it's been jab city time after time with each other and Giselle, like I think, has always felt a little bit like Like, I think there's always been undertones of jealousy, but also I think that like she and Monique just have never like rubbed each other the right way. But they are starting to get along this season. And they get lunch. and they're like strangely, like sitting outside on a day that appears to be like going through a tropical storm. and Giselle chose that day. I I I Honestly like love when like they choose to wear a wig, like a very obvious wig that was like not put on well. 'cause it's always like at the strangest time, like Jen Shaw on her couch talking to like like Sharif, like about her the her like legal struggles, and then she has this like crazy shake and go on her head. and so like I said, this is like it's Hurricane Sandy, and they're like, Can we sit outside please? And Giselle has like a wig It very well might have been, and they Casey: It honestly could have been Hurricane Sandy. You might have like really just damn well clocked that tea. You just clocked Sandy's tea so bad. Holy shit. Blake: Well by the and like it it she's like like with every word that Monique is saying, she's like flipping her like hair out of her eyes like this. It's very much given when Karen was like, hold on, hold on, hold on, one second. and so they're like talking about their problems and and they're basically like, you know, honestly, like We never really even had that l like deep a problem. It's like we could probably just move on. and I'm like, Y'all hated each other, but like I'm happy that you don't see it that way anymore. and they decide that they want, you know, in the spirit of them making up, they want Ashley and Candace to make up. so and and also Ashley, since she just had a baby, she has this like fear of leaving the house and fear of leaving her like son alone. So they're like, We should plan a coming out of the house dinner for Ashley. And Monique's like, I want Candace to be there because I want Candice to like apologize to Ashley. And I think Candace owes Ashley an apology. for context, the the apology is due because Candace has tweeted things about Ashley, such as where is your income roach? Like as she was giving birth, as she was in labor, Candace is like eviscerating her on Twitter. Casey: Like all throughout labor she is eviscerating her through the night. Like while Ashley is literally pushing baby Dean out of her. Which yeah, I'd I'd be annoyed too. Blake: And she's and she's like Yeah, I mean it was just a little bit insensitive, I would say. she called her like a bed wench and like a concubine. so yeah, she's like, I think Candace owes Ashley an apology. and then Giselle brings up like, you know, I thought it was interesting that Candace invited Sharice to her anniversary party. you know, and Monique didn't know that that like she was gonna be there. And Monique is upset with Sharice this season because Sharice has allegedly been going around spreading rumors that Monique has been like sleeping with her trainer. Apparently they were caught outside publicly and then like her husband found out. she denies all of this, but like that's what Sharice is going around town saying. So Monique is like really angry and she's upset that Candace would invite her and not even give her like a heads up about it. So that is like the main Well, that's one of the main conflicts. But that's kind of where it all goes off the rails with Monique and Candace, which develops pretty quickly. but before we get there, here we are, which is why I briefly thought I could give Juan his flowers, but then I remembered that he well he never he never gave the flowers water and then they died. but he he chooses to meet with Giselle. one on one behind Robin's back and they sort of edit it to seem like there's something strange and like like untoward happening here. And Casey: Right. Blake: Giselle Giselle's like, Does Robin even know we're meeting? And he's like, No. And then it's like then like they cut to commercial and then they come back and it's like Juan smiling like, I'm gonna marry her. And it's like, okay, so that wasn't like a bad that was good. It was a good thing and you guys made it seem like a bad thing. and so they like they're talking about the the Casey: Yay. Blake: ring that he's gonna get one Robin and Giselle's like he's gonna give himself a ring and get married to himself. Casey: Wait. Blake: At this point, probably. Casey: Yeah. Blake: and Giselle's like helping him with the ring, blah blah blah. which is exciting because honestly, like I the the whole dynamic was getting so stale. I mean, it was stale probably like after the first season. So we're happy about that. Then we move on to Ashley's coming out of the house dinner. Giselle and Monique are setting up. The dinner and they remove the butter knife from Candace's placemat because if y'all recall last season is when Candace threw a butter knife at Ashley for leaving and then re entering her home after she was asked to leave. So they're in like a very volatile place. We don't know if Candace is gonna shank someone with the butter knife. So they've removed it. and Giselle tells Monique that Candice made a huge effort to be friends with Sharice when Candice and Monique had f felt had fallen out. And Monique is like really hurt by that 'cause she didn't understand the extent of like Sharice's involvement in all of this and she thought Candace just sort of like on a whim like, Sharice, come to my party, whatever and now she's like, wait, maybe this is like maybe Candace is like an operator. But Casey: Literally, Griselle is at work h spelling it out for her, connecting the dots of Blake: Hehehehehe. Casey: the dots that will lead her to many a fight with Candace this whole season. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: So she literally is like, wait, let's let's really drive it home. She every time she's with Monique for a few moments is like And it's really weird that she became friends with her Blake: Yeah. Casey: right when the two of you started fighting. I'm just saying. Blake: I love when she goes like, why would she do that to you? Like in this like very like genuinely like, I'm really actually concerned about you. Like that's such a why would she do that? As if she has no like no motive to like screw Candace over. Like she's just a concerned bystander. Like, huh, that's so strange. Casey: She is. She's so kind. Blake: There's something about Giselle, like, that woman has the hardest work ethic of anyone I've ever seen. She's clocked in. She's always clocked in. She never clocks out. Casey: She's amazing. And that's why I've Blake: Sheep. Casey: never tolerated any slander of her. And I feel like finally, Blake: Ha ha Casey: like all of my clients, finally. People are starting to come around. Like, this was this was not always the opinion on Miss Bryant. Like, I Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: was in the trenches. I was getting called like evil. Like, I was really like, people were not fans of of the the The Giselle and Robin defenders. Like, it was a bad time to be on the team G E B. So As I always do, I have the last laugh. Blake: Girl, let me laugh. anyway we That would never happen. Casey: There were people that were saying she was gonna be fired. Absolutely not. This is the anchor. And then she was on Love Hotel. Now on girls trip. Blake: On the first girl's trip. Wait, the third girl's trip. Not the first. She's booked and busy. And that is a threat. Whoa. Casey: That's right. Don't play with my clients. You'll regret it. And that's a threat. Yeah. Whoa. my god. Blake: Whoa, you clocked that it was a threat. For those who are just listening, Casey: That was so in sync. Blake: she pulled out a real shotgun and cocked Casey: Yeah. Blake: it as she said that. so just be aware that it was real. Casey: That's right. Blake: That's right. She carries. She she c she stays strapped. And to kind of on a similar note, Ashley reveals to the women at the dinner that while she was ha giving birth, she tore her butthole and they had to put Botox in her anus. and obviously everyone's horrified by that revelation. Ashley y Yeah, like like Casey: That was like by birth, right? That she tore the butthole. Like that was a birth accident. Blake: Yes. Yes. I think if it weren't we would have other questions. Casey: Right. That's why that's why I just wanted to make sure. Blake: You know, yeah, and thank you. I think that's good that the listener knows Casey: Ha ha ha. Blake: that. so Ashley is 'cause Ashley wasn't invited to to Candace's anniversary party, so she asks like the group at large. I again Ashley another one who knows like when and where to drop a a little loaded question. She goes, How was the party? Like how'd it go? And Monique goes, It was great outside of me having to dodge a walrus And then everyone immediately knows that she's talking about Cherie. Casey: That's so foul. my god. That's horrible. That's horrible. Blake: It's horrible. It's terrible. That's horrible. It's like when Emily Simpson when someone DM'd her about Gina Kirsch and Heider working at Chili's and she goes, That's mean and horrible Casey: Th that's mean and horrible. I love that screenshot. That's mean and horrible. It's like her like picture like this is Blake: Superimposed over like a Chili's worker. Casey: That's mean and horrible. Like, don't call her that. Like, don't do that. I don't want I don't want you to do that. Blake: How dare you say she's a minimum wage worker? and so Candice like Candice looks at Monique and is like, I really didn't know y'all had that much beef. And that's when Mun Monique kind of starts to get like really pissed off 'cause she's like We've talked like I've told you this like several times. and Giselle so like That's kind of brewing, and then Giselle announces that like she and Monique had discussed that like this could be a great time for Ashley and Candice to apologize to each other. And Candice is like so opposed to this concept because she's like, I don't wanna I don't wanna apologize with an audience. And she's like, I'll like I'm down to get together separately and talk about it, but I'm not doing that here. and then Ashley's like, That's great, but like you need to align your actions With your words. Like if you are down to talk and apologize, then stop like tweeting about how I'm like a concubine roach while I'm like giving birth to my first child. and Candace basically feels like everyone's ganging up on her, and she says, like, I Giselle says, like, there needs to be an apology though. Like, you do realize that you owe an apology, and Candace tells her to shut the fuck up and then tells everyone, Casey: Shoot. Blake: says, like, fuck you to everyone. And that's basically the tone of the rest of the dinner. She just feels like it's a gang up. And then outside after the dinner she and Monique like cameras go down but there's like a an audio that's kept on where like she and Monique really get into it and you can tell it's like really bad, they're just like not in a good place and it you're it almost feels like they're about to get into a physical altercation, but they don't at that point. And then we move on to episode three. Casey: And episode three begins with us finding out that Ashley and Michael are hosting a sip and see, which is a concept I had never heard of until I started watching Real Housewives, which now I'm like, of course, the sip and see, like when you sip and you see the baby, like duh. Blake: When you get to hold the baby drunk. Who wouldn't who wouldn't want to do that? Casey: Like duh the sip and scene naturally. Let's get that on the schedule ASAP. But Blake: Hehehehehe Casey: when they're like getting ready for it, Ashley's talking about how she's had a hard time since birthing the child, as many women do. so she's talking about having postpartum depression, which obviously is serious and common and sad and difficult, but to make a joke of it. Like I often do. I do understand this specific case because baby Dean literally is a clone of Michael. Like, not an ounce of Ashley comes through on that baby. And Ashley's a pretty girl, and Michael is a goblin. So this is just unfortunate. It's really unfortunate. It's really Blake: It's really sad. It's really sad. Casey: sad. It's really sad. Like again, I understand the depression. Like Blake: And people well specifically Candace brings this up at actu like she brings it up throughout the entire season, but she sh sh it's kind of low hanging fruit, I feel. But if anyone's if I Casey: Defo. She goes for low hanging fruit pretty often. Blake: that's that's actually very true. I don't know why why I was acting like she's Casey: Ha ha ha. Blake: like above that. but yeah, the sip and see I I was thinking about how the perfect way to I think try to get over your fear of, you know, s harm coming to your baby, your newborn baby, is to get a bunch of drunk women together to pass the baby around a room, Casey: Right. Like the sippancy is a result of you not wanting people to see the baby like in the first however long because that's when it's like vulnerable and I don't know, I don't have a baby. Question mark. Blake: It'll it'll get it'll it'll get sick or something, like I don't know. Casey: Sometimes people don't want that. But like, would it not have been better to like have people over like one by one, like than have like this party of like forty people like tossing the baby around like a hot potato? But I don't know. I don't ha I Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: I don't have a baby and I don't want to piss off the moms 'cause that is mom shame. We are not mom shamers. I love Blake: What we're not gonna do on this podcast, Casey, is mom shame. Casey: moms. have a sip and see, pass the baby around, I don't care. I or I do care, Blake: All moms are great. Yeah. Casey: but not too much. Not in the way that you guys don't want me to. Love you guys. Blake: Well I care the Yeah, we care in the right way. Casey: Yeah. Whatever way you want. You t you tell us. But Ashley's really nervous because of her postpartum depression. Like she's had a hard time with like getting worried about the baby and its health and its safety. I mean, yeah, that's terrifying. Like to have a young child. The world is a really scary place. So I I understand her, but she says to Michael, like, let's make sure at the sippency, like, that no one kisses the baby. Let's tell everyone no kisses, because I've been reading about babies getting herpes in their eyes. I'm like, where? Were you in like the deep wells of Reddit? Like reading where? Like who Blake: What a horrifying sentence. Casey: who had mouthw herpes and was kissing on somebody's baby at a siphoncy? Like that's so effed. Blake: That's you also like my god, ew, I don't even wanna Casey: Ha ha Blake: like, just I don't Casey: Yes. Blake: know, like to ask everyone to like be honest if they have herpes before they come, like Casey: Like if maybe if you have herpes, like please don't kiss my baby. But like otherwise I guess maybe. Blake: Hey guys, any any cold sores? 'Cause if so, probably don't come. Like it's there's a baby here. Casey: And when Giselle gets there and like she's greeting the baby, Ashley's like, please like don't kiss the baby and Giselle. It's like I wasn't gonna like Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Don't worry. so I wouldn't either. I I do think it's kind of weird as Blake: To be honest, I wouldn't either. Like what a weird what a weird thing to Casey: well. Blake: Like it the like sorry I had the urge to kiss your your child that has no relation to me, like Casey: Unless you're like immediate family, but if you were immediate family, you would have already seen it pre sippency. So like there would be no worry about the herpes. Blake: Right. Like I just when are you kissing someone else's child? I find that to be strange. But I guess you have to you have to think about Casey: I don't know. I don't even mess with babies like that. Blake: I don't I don't fuck with children. I'm so good. I'm actually it never crossed my mind. Casey: To kiss one? Like I'll pass. I'm so awesome. Honestly, kinda sick for people to wanna do that if you think about it. Blake: No, I mean we could really go down what that really implies, but I don't think we should do that here. But we but we'll keep it asleep for now. Y'all Casey: We could really wake that up. But but y'all aren't ready for that. Blake: are ready for that conversation Casey: my god. my god. Okay. Blake: Like whoa. we could have started some discourse there, but we're not gonna do that. We're not gonna well refrain. Casey: Back to the back to the show. Wendy Wendy has a a recurring theme that happens at this sippency, where her and Karen re-meet each other because Karen basically pretends not to know her and they like bring up photos of them from years ago of them serving on the same charity board. Like Karen herself in a confessional is like, yeah, like I have met her and then in a scene will be like, No, I don't know her. Blake: She she's like, Hi, nice to meet you and Wendy's like, I saw you like last episode. Casey: Like literally last episode you already admitted that you know her and then y maybe you just forgot or they edited your confessionals in a shady order. But this happens to Wendy multiple times and eventually it starts to piss her off. But at this point she's kind of just like, Okay, like you know who I am, l lady. Like Blake: It's funny because at the sippincy, she like they're like getting food right next to each other, and like she's like they like do the weird introduction thing or whatever and Wendy kind of says like like how's your relationship been or whatever? And Karen like immediately turns around and starts talking to some man like behind her and Wendy like looks over and is like, she's not talking to me anymore. Like she's not gonna answer my question. Like Casey: Like, okay. Blake: there's this weird, like It's like a hazing thing that she's doing. I I don't know. I don't know. It's funny. Casey: Yeah, and they're not the only ones having beef at at this party and the women all are sitting down, you know, like eating, chatting, everyone's getting along, sort of, because Candace is there and they kind of try to like group intervene on her lightly about her like just kind of being abrasive at times, like the tweets and like things that she'll say about people that are just like a little bit cunning. and Ashley is literally like breastfeeding baby Dean in the group circle while she's doing this. And she's like, you know, I just kind of feel like you could be a little bit nicer to people. Like I I think you should be a little bit more careful about the way that you're speaking and Candace is like, how about we talk about baby Dean? How about Out, we talk about when the baby's gonna start to look like you, Ashley. Like, so she's not having it. and Monique kind of takes this moment to jump in and intercede her own thoughts on Candace, re-the Sharice thing. So she basically jumps in because she's mad at her and is just giving her like tons of attitude, but she's making fun of her, and I thought this was funny. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: It's like that. It reminds me Blake: Okay. Casey: it reminds me of that old vine of Justin Bieber and that interviewer when she laughs and he's like, I like that laugh. And that's what they sound like. But you know, this this is funny, like it's just silly if you're listening, you know, they're just mimicking each other. Like it's very juvenile. but it's that's like where they're at right now. Like they are just annoyed with each other. Things are going to just continue to get worse. right now it's the Sharice thing, but the Sharice thing will create moments like this where then more grievances get added on top of it. So it's it's a boulder like rolling down a hill, a snowball when it like collects more snow, you know, and it gets bigger. Blake: Yeah. Casey: Boom. they they hate each other. To bring myself back down to earth. They are really are not in a good place. They're at they're at middle school. Antics, maybe elementary school antics at this point. and one thing that I wanna point out, as I have already hinted at, it's like I spy for me this season with Baby Dean. Like he's at every major moment. When you replay it back, there's Baby Dean listening in to every clip. And and there he was for this one as he was getting breastfed. I bet you he had to stop and listen for a second and even he even he was gagged. But this isn't even Blake: He was gagged. He was gagged. Casey: like top five moment he gets he gets in on this season. So Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: love him. And they I love calling him baby Dean and that they all call him Baby Dean all the time and they never just say Dean. Baby Dean. Blake: Like the baby's implied if you just like see him. Casey: No, that's baby Dean. That's baby Dean for life. Like, don't play. Blake: Don't play with baby Dean. Casey: But yeah, Candace calls Monique a flip flopper. Basically for like being friends with Giselle, she's trying to Uno reverse the Sharice allegations and turn it around. And bringing up Giselle just kind of mobilizes the entire group against her in this moment because Giselle and Robin immediately are like, Whoa, alright, like don't don't pull me into this. Like, what did I do? And Monique kinda like high-fives them, like, yeah, exactly. What what's she doing? This this crazy gal. So Blake: This crazy woman. Casey: Candace has kind of ended because no one else is really helping her out, so she gets up and leaves. and Ashley, her absolute class, she literally chases her down out of the building onto the street at her own sippency. And she goes to talk to her and Candace is upset and like they are having a nice moment. They're on okay terms right now and like it's obviously nice that Ashley goes to check on her but she's wearing these really ugly earrings that were distracting me and then Candice has a funny line. So let's let's play that clip. Blake: Yeah, her earrings are hideous. Casey: Like it literally looks like a piece of salami attached to an earring hook and shoved in her ear, like And not even in a Blake: Like she has Casey: cute way, like not in like a trinket way, like it literally looks like a piece of raw salami. Blake: It's something that like Kyle Richards would wear. Casey: They're really ugly and really distracting. Like I mean, yeah, the lactating breasts are one thing, but I'm I'm more stuck on the salami earring. But Candace is thinking about her lactating breasts during this moment. And I guess fair enough. Maybe. Kinda weird thing to say, but I thought it was funny. So I'll let it go. Blake: It was it was a nice quip. It was a nice quip. Casey: It was a nice little clip. And back inside while they're having this little one on one, Giselle is like, All right, well, since they're gone, let's address the elephant in the room between you two, Sharice and Monique. Like what what's the Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: vibe? Monique immediately before anyone can even say anything is like, I actually have to go. I have to go. It's time for me to record my podcast. I gotta go. And she Blake: I mean Casey: gets up and leaves without saying goodbye to anyone. Blake: I've said that before. Ga g I gotta Casey: I mean we g we get that. We really Blake: I gotta I gotta go record my podcast. I'm actually I'm gonna leave. I gotta leave. Casey: I gotta go. It's time for my podcast. I gotta go. I'll see ya. They're all like, okay, like you had a lot to say about Candace, but you've you're up and gone when it's time to talk about you. and again, Giselle just kind of emphasizes like that she knows slash thinks this is about the trainer and she tries to get Sharice to to basically say that on camera herself, but Sharice is not not taking the bait. She goes, No, I have no clue why we don't talk. Like that's I I don't know what you're implying. Like there's nothing I can think of. Giselle's kind of like, all right, well, let's move on then. Blake: Alright, Charisse. Alright, Lyrice. Anyway. Next episode. Karen is planning a big party to celebrate her return to Potomac. And she is she has this like actor come over her home and like get changed into like like I don't know, some like medieval like court jester garb to like help her record her like video telegram invitation. which we We'll see you in little bit. and as that's happening, Wendy meets up with Robin at the park while their children are playing like games, and then Robin's like, I have libations, and she pulls out like those little like margarita, like Jose Cuervo shooters you get at the gas station, and then that she also has those little like Tito's shooters. I'm like, Y'all drinking warm vodka while your children are kicking the ball Casey: Obsessed. Blake: around, like But that's Robin for you. That is she's just unapologetically her. And Casey: I love her. Blake: she ba she tells Robin, Wendy tells Robin that Candice, like when she was telling her about the group, said that, like, Giselle is the monster of the group. So obviously Robin is going to put that in her pocket and save it for later. Ashley and Candace do actually meet up, as was previously promised, to discuss the relationship. And Candace said that she didn't know Ashley was in labor when she tweeted calling her a roach and apologizes for not being as sensitive as she probably should have been. they agreed not to hold on to their grudges. And Candace says she wouldn't have invited Sharice if she'd known that Monique was gonna be that upset. so we have like very different sides from Monique and Candace about like who knew what and like what was it shady or was it truly just like, you know, we've I didn't know. And then that's when they get the singing telegram. I love how Giselle is sober police. Casey: Looking at the phone like it's gonna blow up, holding it away from her face, just kinda like, What in the damn hell? So unserious. Blake: A Kiki Mohoment Mm. Casey: We can't stop. I cannot. Blake: The man the man mind you is reading off of like a piece of paper the entire time, like doesn't make eye contact with the camera and Karen's just sitting in her chair like yes like she's like clapping like a baby. It's so insane. Casey: Like, how do I get a random job just to ensure that I get Blake: Yeah. Casey: used in a housewife scene like this? Like, I I'd Blake: Mm-hmm. Casey: have to play the long game of being a court chester for random announcements for a few years, hoping, hoping Blake: Like a children's birthday parties. Casey: to get called by a real housewife, but maybe it'll pay off one day, like it did for this young young fellow. Blake: For this this aspiring Emmy winner, or Tony I should say, you know, because he sings. Or this aspiring Casey: Or or but you got. Why stop there? Blake: Egotter, and he will, and he will. Robin meets up with Giselle and tells Giselle that Wendy was told by Candice that Giselle is a monster So just know that that will come back to play in the future. we end the episode with Karen hosting her party. which is for a Karen party not bad. 'Cause you know, she hit she did have that weird Indian party where everyone dressed up as Indians, which was strange. Casey: And her and Ray like sucked face f in front of them all. That was crazy. Blake: And Monique dressed up as a Native American. And mind you, their home was like half furnished and it like way bigger than it needed to be. And I've I think it was like Monique's husband who was like, This seems like a drug front. And honestly, who knows? Who knows? But that was a good Casey: Why is China buying your house? Question mark. We don't know. Blake: question. And Candace approaches Giselle and she's like intending to apologize at this party for calling her house a teardown. In a nine hundred thousand dollar cabin that's going to collapse and other things. and she was like, I didn't mean to be messy with my tweet, and Giselle's Bullshit, that's you absolutely did. And then she was like, But I actually don't really care that much about that. What I care about is that you called me a monster, and that's rude and immature. And then Candace was like, Well, that wasn't meant to be malicious. And Giselle says, How else was it supposed to be? And Giselle Is just like moving forward, I really don't care to be that deep with you. And Candace says, like, I would have said it to your face. Like I I'll say anything that I say behind your back to your face. And Giselle's like, Whatever, we'll keep it surface. And then they're sort of interrupted by Karen doing a Karen thing at her Karen party. She emerges from the sliding glass doors to her kitchen in an all pink pant suit and this like Lady Gaga Joanne era like wide brimmed pink hat and she starts doing like a choreographed hip hop dance. It's incredible. Casey: pretty sure it's a Beyonce look that she is paying homage to. So maybe some of the moves are as well. Trying to give her a give her a hand to the drowning there with some of that performance, but it doesn't really fit the event. Like what are we what are we doing? Like she wanted to be Blake: No, it's really random. But I appreciated it. I Casey: a d a drag queen for like a quick moment and have a little number. Blake: But then she she like coerces everyone to start dancing with her. So don't don't make Karen dance alone. Casey: And I love that. And I would have danced right along with her. I would have. Blake: I would have danced my ass into the pool, into her backyard pool that was dangerously close to all of the guests, might I add. But anyway And her third rental home. Casey: Gag Ender Ender safety at her new house party. Boom. Well, where we go next for honestly a long time. Like they go on this trip for what feels like a lot of episodes. They go to Monique's lake house in episode five. and when they're all getting ready, they're all driving. It's in Maryland, like it's not it's not probably not very far. It's not really like even a trip. But Monique has a a huge lake house, honestly, it's massive. and Ashley is preparing to leave and she is talking about About bringing baby Dean to the lake house because obviously she like cannot be apart from him right now. She feels very anxious. That's why he's in every scene because she doesn't go anywhere without him. But also, on top of her having her own anxieties about the baby, Michael naturally is being like such a weirdo about this. Like she has already decided to take the baby and like feels good about it. And he is weirdly being like, Yep, you're taking the baby and Don't let anyone tell you that that's weird. Like, be confident in the fact that a baby needs his mom. Like, I can't do an Australian accent right now. But Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: he's like, right. Like, a baby should not be without his mother, especially for three days. Like, you don't let anyone tell you that it's weird. Like, and she's like, I I never said it was weird. And like I never said I agree with you. I'm bringing the baby. Like, why are you like. Blake: She's like, I have never said anything to the contrary of what you're saying. Casey: It's so weird. And her friend slash their nanny goes to to like take care of the baby so Ashley can have some free time. And it's this whole operation is so ridiculous. Like, can the father not watch his child? Like, what is Michael up to that he cannot keep the baby there with the nanny the nanny? Blake: Like is a is a baby is a banny not supposed to like be with their father as well? Like that's is that like is it like a Casey: Like he's so useless. Blake: No, it's honestly he's I mean he's always disgusting, but it's like it's shocking Casey: Right. Blake: what like Ashley takes from him. Casey: yeah, and this is a common, like, shitty housewives husband thing. Like Meghan King Edmonds lugs her baby to Iceland 'cause Jim Edmonds doesn't want to be alone with the baby in Orange County. most recent season of Potomac, Angel's husband like won't like watch the children, like so she has to like be around Blake: So that she can go so that she can go hang out with the women at like the other like rental that they have away from her actual home. Casey: Right. Like they had to go to her house. Blake: It's just and it's funny because all these men are constantly like, I want another baby. When are we having another baby? Casey: my god. Blake: But then they have the baby and they're like, Ew, like what do I do with that? Like, ew Casey: No, they want a baby i as long as it's not their main responsibility. It's so wild, but Baby Dean is going to the lake house. Decision decision is made. Ashley wants him to go, and clearly so does Michael. Not sure why he's making it fucking weird like he always has to, but he does. and Monique, Karen, and Giselle are driving together, and T'Challa is also coming to the lake house. And Karen and Giselle seemingly did not know that T'Challa was a passenger in their road trip car. And they hate that bird so much. Like they are like. Blake: Hehehehe Casey: So upset about this. It's pooping on the sidewalk before they get in, and they're both like, my god. and it's it's foreshadowing of T'Challa's role. As I said, baby Dean and T'Challa are the friends of this season, and and they have impact. So that's coming. But they go to the lake house, and on the way there, we find out that Wendy, who is also recently postpartum, like she had a baby not that long ago. She's leaving her baby at home. So it can be done. Clearly. And that becomes an issue when they arrive because Wendy is basically like, Why can Ashley bring her baby, but I can't bring my baby? And it's like, well no one said you couldn't bring your baby, but I guess, you know, in theory Monique should have like, and by the way, like Ashley's bringing baby Dean, like so if you want to bring your baby, like do. Blake: Right. I think it should have been more of like a you know, yes this is a girl's trip but there will be a baby and then Wendy could have been like Yeah, like okay, maybe I Casey: Babies allowed exclamation point, like Blake: wanna bring my baby, like because obviously if you hear girls trip you assume no baby, so then when you see baby, you get upset about baby and then you fight about baby. Casey: I mean like if I was somewhere and like I would have preferred to bring my cat with me and someone else had their cat with me, I would be like a little bit like, damn, I wish I had known, I would have brought my cat. Bummer. Blake: Yeah. Yeah, no I agree. I think Casey: But I wouldn't be like pissed. And Wendy is like a little like she's kind of like on edge. And sometimes with new housewives, I like don't know if it's genuine or if they just kinda see a moment to like get in there and and get in on the action. So maybe that's what what this is, especially with Ashley, because she's not like the titan of of this cast and she's not necessarily a fan favorite. but before they really get into it, T'Challa has something to say. Blake: The scream is so Casey: So much going on. That cliff is really funny. I mean, like, you see T'Challa come out of left field, absolutely wings flapping, like dramatic as hell, going over to Wendy directly to her head, like right to the skull, like Blake: Directly at Wendy, like trying to kill her. Casey: it. It was violent. Like I definitely would have screamed as well. Like otherwise, every other moment with Tajala, the bird is like totally like on Monique's shoulder, like not really going where it isn't directed. And then out of nowhere, it launches itself at Moni Monique. It launches itself at Wendy. Blake: And I like how Monique victim shames and she's like, she's like, y'all scared Casey: You scared him. Blake: my bird. And they're like, excuse me, like the bird flew like beak first at me. Like the bee the Casey: The bird scared us. Blake: bird was trying to peck my jugular vein out of my neck. I could have died. Casey: It reminds me of those like the like millennial or even older than millennial really humor like memes where it's like person like the bee is more scared of you than you than you are of it and it's like me like like Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: Like that's what's happening with the T'Challa defense. Like, how do you know that? Like, how do you know who's more scared here? I think it it was probably Wendy, but it's hard to say. And like everyone looks horrified. They're like, Robin's on the ground, like ducking. Like now everyone's on edge about the bird getting mobile. Because before it was just Blake: Ashley's like a human shield in front of baby Dean. Like she she's like throwing her body on top of baby Dean. Casey: Like of after everything, like enter freaking baby Dean in the last moment of Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: the clip. Like, here he comes. Like Tochala, get baby Dean next. Like sorry, that's so vicious. Blake: I bet they made him sign like a T'Challa and and baby D and have me like a friend friend of contract on this season. Casey: Like they frickin' might as well have. T'Challa is activated. Sh Blake: I mean T'Challa's putting the work in. Baby Dean hasn't really done much, but T'Challa's Casey: she, he, we're not sure of T'Challa's gender. They they they come to the reunion, T'Challa, and get first seat. No, I'm just kidding. but moments after this, Wendy has to recover Blake: First perch. Casey: because it's time to get mad about not bringing her baby. I mean, maybe she was feeling on edge after the attack, the bird attack, but she basically is like, you know, why are you why'd you bring your child? Like, what the hell? Like, this is a girls' trip. I didn't know that we could bring our children. And The women kind of try to defend Ashley by being like, come on, like you could relate. Like, this is her first child. Like it's a little different. Like they're just trying to like soothe it over. And like Ashley's clearly like nervous and uncomfortable. So they're like trying to just be like, come on, let it go. And Wendy will not let it go. She's like, wait, no, I'm a new mother too. They're like, no, but you're on your third kid, and this really pisses her off. She's like, That does not take away from the fact that I'm a new mother. And Ashley starts to get a little mad and she says something along the lines of like, Well, my husband has to work Yeah, girl, Blake: He's Casey: so does Wendy's, and that's exactly what Wendy says. Yeah, my husband's an attorney. Like, he also has to work. and Ashley, it is very mom-shaming. Like, this is like a a classic, we're in like the mom minutia. Like, Ashley says, You chose to be away from your baby. That's not my fault. Like, my god. Like, now don't make it sound like Wendy's like some like neglectful mother, like whooping it up. Blake: Right, and also actually like sh she has a supportive like husband who cares about being a father. Like, is that the read that you're trying to land here? Casey: Like this isn't for both of them, like neither one of them benefit. Like none it isn't a good one. It's like both of them look kind of dumb. Blake: No, they both look desperate and like stupid and wha like you're angry at Ashley for bringing her baby but not Monique for saying like that you could br you could bring your baby if you want to. Like that's who I'd be mad at. Casey: Right. And like what is getting angry gonna do? You're still in Maryland. Go go get the baby. Go turn around and go get the baby. You could be back in probably three hours, like if it's that important Blake: Right. Casey: to you. Or leave. Or I I hate that kind of thing where it's like, all right, let's find a solution then. Like if you're that mad about it. What is being mad about that gonna do? Especially when you don't really know these people that well. Like it's kind of a bold play. Blake: Right, like what w what did baby Dean do to you? Like Casey: And baby Dean is still there while they start, like they start like really screaming at each other about this mom issue. And Robin is holding Baby Dean and like trying to cover his ears. Like he's having a stressful day. T'Challa's attack. Now this. Robin has a confessional and like these little things, like I appreciate. And I know people think that she's like boring or doesn't add a lot, but I think there's value in like little moments like this. It's a Robin confessional, and she goes, I don't really know why Wendy's freaking out over her third. kid and like us not saying she's a new mother. My second son, I don't even remember his name most of the time. And she's like dead serious. And Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: it just like we just move along after that. I'm like, right. No right. Blake: the first one's scary and then the second one it's like I know how to do this now and then the third Casey: Sh Blake: one it's like, my god, like girl chill Casey: She said, Move on, Wendy. Like shut up about your baby and let's have a nice trip at the lake house. Again, you're not even that far. Like it's like if something happened or you were really missing your child, you could just get in the car and and be home in a few hours. So it's it's Blake: Right. Casey: gonna be fine. But you know, they move along. They're like not really good, but they go to dinner. There's a lot of underlying tension. Like a lot of people are not good, but are kind of just playing it cool, which of course, what does that call? For other than a manufactured game that is really just let's say things that we wouldn't normally say that don't have a natural segue into conversation. And Monique says, You know, let's play this game. It's called the Curiosity Game, like where basically one person gets asked questions, and the questions are supposed to get deeper. As you go, question mark. The rules of the game are vague and not really followed. I mean it's not even really a rule, but basically they start just asking each other whatever the damn hell they feel like. Like they basically just turn to someone and say things. And it it does kind of escalate in like how foul it is and how brazen the questions are. Like it starts off and Monique is like You know, Candace, what was your childhood like? Candace is like, you know, it was hard at times, like this and that. And Ashley's like, and is that why you studied African American studies in in college? And Candace is like in the middle of answering. And Giselle's like, and is that why you got a nose job? And Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Candace is like, did I get a nose job? And Giselle's like, yeah, famously. And Candace is like, huh. And did you call me after my surgery? I'm like, wait, so did you get a nose job or not? Like, what is going on? Blake: Like are you implying no or or like are you being sassy about it? Casey: Or yes. Blake: Or like are you now trying to find another issue with Giselle like as a person for not supporting you during your nose job? Casey: And we won't ever find out because the editing of this scene is like very like the questions are getting asked and they're just like moving on to the next one. And the next one is Karen's like, Giselle, how is it being back with a man who cheated on you with so many women Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: and l has father children with other women like while with you? Cut to next question. And Giselle is like, Ashley, is your booty hole healed? And Ashley is like, I forget, honestly. I d I don't care if it's healed or not. She answers and Karen Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: goes, And is your booty hole being healed crucial to the success of your marriage? Blake: Crucial crucial of utmost Casey: Sure. Blake: importance to your marriage. Casey: And you know, it kind of goes back and forth with like crazy questions like this. And then somehow it gets to Karen and Wendy getting into it about like the the knowing, not knowing each other. and you know, it's just dumb and and Karen brings up like Wendy at a point, I guess, like referred to Karen like talking about her sex life and was like she acts like she still has all this stuff popping and like she definitely doesn't. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Like it was something like vague like that. But Karen takes it very like Blake: Wendy's like very Wendy's very like convinced that Karen doesn't have sex anymore and she's like Casey: Right. Blake: mentioned it a couple of times. And it's again like a very strange thing to say about someone that like Casey: Okay. Blake: in a group of people you just met, but she's like age shaming her. Casey: Right, well it's like okay and if not, like what do you want from that? Like, okay, yeah, you caught me. She's anti-ac Blake: Is she not allowed to like walk around and be sexy? Like does she have to walk around and be an old decrepit hag for you to like respect her? Like Casey: Like, what? And if she was like, Yeah, you're right. I act like I'm having sex, but I'm not, are you gonna be like, Blake: Gotcha Gotcha Casey: Okay. How sad and weird now that we made her acknowledge that. Like thanks Wendy Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: for having us say the awkward part out loud. This was awesome. We appreciate it. Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: and yeah, they like kind of get into it, then it bounces back to Ashley and Wendy who get into it in the exact same way that they did in the kitchen because they didn't resolve it. So we pretty much just have a part two. and it's getting weird because like Wendy does not want to apologize about The argument and all of the women are basically like, But you like were wrong, sort of. Like your delivery was harsh. And she's like, Right, my delivery was harsh, but like I does not warrant an apology. So they're just like going back and forth. And then eventually, like it gets aggressive and Wendy shuts it down because Ashley's like, I'm done with you. And Wendy's like, People call you don't call me Wendy. They call me Dr. Wendy. And that's like her little like mic drop. moment on Ashley. Blake: That was her like season one moment, like, we're gonna put that in the trailer, I'm gonna look so cool Casey: Yeah. Blake: and it's like, Okay. Like honestly, no n no. Casey: It does it doesn't do it for me, but I know that d that it does it for some people, so I'm happy for you if it does. Blake: And well, I've never met those people, but I'm sure they exist. so yeah, I mean, you know, they it's like this extremely long back and forth screaming over each other, whatever. and then Karen feels the need to like interject and get on like some type of high horse with this really funny moment. Okay, if you're just listening, the editors like do a cause she's trying to tell Wendy, like, you took it too low, like bitch is bitch is too low. And then they do like a two-year-ago flashback of her calling Robin a bitch, and then like they cut to Robin, like at the dinner, the current dinner, like thinking about it. And then she kind of makes this face of like, Like sh sh she could be right. I don't I she might not have. It's like I think of anyone, you have been the target of the bitch. You Casey: Definitely. Blake: Like several times. anyway, the next day Ashley's tending to her baby and she like calls Michael and she tells the baby she's like, Slim chance that he answers the phone, baby Dean. And then he doesn't answer the phone. And then in her confessional confessional she's like, Yeah, honestly, like it doesn't really surprise me because I'm just not used to seeing him with the baby at all, so it's it's not really hard to be a away from him with the baby. And I'm like, let's maybe interrogate that. Like, so he doesn't like to father your child that you have together. Casey: Like what are you getting from this man? Like he's a terrible father, terrible husband, terrible person. He's ugly. Blake: secretly gay. Secretly gay but still tries to cheat on you with women. Like what what is happening? Casey: Like my f my hell. Like we we need to want better. We have to want better for our for our girls. This is horrible. my god. We have to protect them. Like Blake: For our young ho housewives. Casey: she's she's in the trenches for real. Blake: So my god, and she remains there for quite some time. Giselle tells Wendy that Karen had said earlier during the lake trip that like Wendy is like a f floozy freelancer, which is not verbatim what Karen said, but Giselle is kind of editorializing there a bit. Wendy does end up apologizing to Ashley for their asinine argument. So like we squash that, we're good, thank God. And then we have another really unfortunate Ashley confessional where the producer asks her, like, if Michael likes being placed second in her life, you know, second to the baby that they both are raising together who like needs to be placed first because it can't care for itself. And she's like, in the most somber tone, she's like, he hates it. I'm like, my god, like this is a grown ass, like, geriatric man. so basically the women are like they've been trapped at this like house for it seems like a week. I think it's probably like day two, but it seems like they've been there forever and they're all so bored. So Giselle does this like impromptu like beauty pageant where she forces Ashley and Candice to compete against each other, and then she has this like question round where she gets to be a shady lady and it's really funny. Let me judge Yahweh. Casey: What is a stove pipe leg? Like I'm not I'm not sure of the imagery. Blake: I feel like that was supposed to be like a Cankles insult or something from Casey: Right, like Blake: how I took it. Like that's crazy. To go from a s Casey: That's not a kind thing to say. Blake: a slightly larger forehead to like you have a stove pipe leg is stoned. That's nasty. Casey: Like fuck, that's fucked up. That is low-key nasty as fuck. That would make me upset if someone said that about me. Like I would think about that for like a little bit. Like that would make me Blake: I f Casey: unhappy. Blake: I feel like that would be the end of the friendship, quite honestly. Like that's kinda too far. Casey: I know that's like the beautiful thing about Housewives. This is like Loki sad. I'm I'm about to like self-expose that I've had this thought while watching Housewives. I'm like, Loki, it must be kind of nice that you're basically like forced. to have friends. Like your cast has to forgive you for really heinous things because you pretty much have to like be on the show together if everyone like likes all of you and you work well together. Like, wow, I would love to have a friend group where I could act a complete damn fool all the time and they won't leave me. Blake: You get to call people's legs stovepipes and they have to just deal with it. Casey: Like, is this the friend group I've been looking for my whole life where I can be blunt, honest, and then I can just sit at the reunion and be like, sorry, gal, and then I'll be good. my god, I'm sorry Blake: Sorry, I was too drunk and they're like, fine. Alright, see you next year. Casey: that I said that. okay. Because obviously Blake: Alright. Casey: I'd be a fan favorite, so like they'd have to reconcile with me, like immediately. Blake: Right. They'd be jealous that Rihanna was in your DMs. Casey: Exactly. Blake: So Candace gets a text randomly from one of her friends that Michael Darby was out the night prior at a strip club with several strippers and he was talking about how he has a boyfriend and a wife. And then they also sent a zoomed in picture of Michael in the text thread. That so it's like Casey: So zoomed in. Blake: it's so zoomed in he looks like a wild, like I don't know, like a naked mole mole rat or something. Like it's really scary. but it's very clearly him. Casey: It really captures like the the experience of trying to take a picture of somebody and then they look over like right as you're doing it. So you have like this Blake: Yeah Casey: really eerie shot of them like Blake: It's like animalistic almost. Casey: It's a it is. He looks really trapped. it's th frightening. Like I'm frightened by it. Blake: With the like the purple club lights all over him. It's like a very disorienting picture. so apparently a random stripper asked him to like get a hotel with her. And that's so he she's getting all this information and she's like like Ashley and I just made up. Like now I have this information, like what do I do? So she like runs to Giselle and Giselle's like, We have to tell her tonight And that's how the episode ends. Casey: And the next episode they tell her, they follow through on that promise. They're like, No, let's just tell her quickly so it's not a thing and let's not tell anybody else because we don't want it to be a group thing before Ashley can like have her own reaction regarding it and decide if she wants more people than us to know. Which as you know we love to discuss on this podcast. Is that valid when it's on camera? Question mark. Yeah. Ashley Blake: Because I think Casey: do Ashley doesn't seem to think it's like a shady thing, so I guess that's all you need to know about it. Blake: Yeah, I think here it's more like how do you want this to enter the group and be talked about? But like obviously it's going to be talked about, but like we wanna just like let you know that like we have this and you know, like we're not gonna blindside you at like dinner, but like it's obviously going to come up. I mean it already came up because I got the text message, you know what I mean? So it's like so I mean it's good that she didn't think that like Candace planned that because they just were trying to get back as sisters. Casey: No. And then she doesn't. And they tell her and like they this basically all the women are like going outside to do a bonfire and Candace and Giselle stay like pointedly inside. Like Monique's like, Come on out, girls, we're doing s'mores, and they're being kind of weird, why they won't leave a certain area. So they're both kind of like, No, no, no. And Monique's like, Why? And they're both like, No, we just want to be inside right now. Just the just the two of us. So Monique starts to get annoyed by this. She feels like, like, what are you doing? And why can't I be involved? So when Ashley comes down to talk to them, she like is very much Like, right, so Ashley can be included, but I can't, like, really not reading the vibes of this at all. But Ashley finds out, and she doesn't really seem that gagged or bothered. Like, she she is like a little bit like pro like processing it. Like, she's like, Okay, strippers, a boyfriend. Like, my god, like she seems a little bit like hell, but not as gagged as I would be if this was my husband. And this seems like pretty pretty damning evidence of. Clearly he's at the strip club while he refused to watch your child. Like, how awesome is that? but she's like, you know, I'll talk to him and and I'll figure out action after I speak to him about it. But like I really appreciate you guys coming to me. You know, she's happy with this approach. All is well. and she does tell them that they had an issue when she was pregnant where he was going to strip clubs often and that was upsetting her and he agreed to not go while she was pregnant. And it's like, well, does that extend to like while you're fully going through postpartum depression as well? Like I I think it probably should, maybe forever. I don't know. But that's up to y'all, I guess. And that's like where they they leave it. And All all is good. It's not very dramatic, honestly. It's it's not our most dramatic housewife husband affair reveal that we've ever seen. Like she's not like saying, Please don't let it be about Michael. Like sh she knows it's about Michael. Blake: She's like, Yeah, he's done this before. Yeah, I'll I'll I'll just pull him aside. Hey, hey buddy, can you maybe not while I have a newborn baby? Like I feel like if you've done it while Casey: Right. And like privately, like Blake: your wife is pregnant and then you do it again when your wife has postpartum depression and is like latched onto your child, like you're gonna give him another chance is crazy. Casey: Like, it's so wild. And, you know, sidebar that for now. We'll follow the progression. and she goes to bed, Ashley, Giselle goes to bed, Robin goes to bed, because they're in like a little guest house. And Karen, Wendy, Candice, and Monique are up late and they are doing shots of fireball. And at one point they're smoking a joint in Monique's basement. It looks like a goddamn vibe, honestly. Like one of those nights, like where you're just having a key. And Karen is slamming the fireball shots. Like she continues to pour them and pour them. And she's clearly wasted. And she brings up Wendy, like shaming her sex life. And it's like, no, you guys don't get it. Like, I don't have an Old vagina, like my shit is moist down there. Like she talks about her like Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: tax drama with Ray, and she's like, I would I would have left him, but I couldn't. Like, it's Ray. So she's like really like getting it all out there, and then she eventually tries to pivot drunk to being like, Candace and Monique, wait, are you guys good right now? After they've been sitting down there for hours and everyone's drunk. And Monique is like, Nope, we're not doing this. Like, we're not, we're not doing this. Now, like we're just having a key, we're all getting drunk and vibing. Like, we're not doing that. And Candace, so drunk, is like, yeah, no, we're not doing it either. Like, we're not doing it. But it's Blake: Hehehehehe Casey: kind of beautiful. There was like Karen and Wendy, not really good. Candace Monique, not really good. Everyone just sitting down there getting hammered, regardless. Like, they're like, whatever. I don't really fuck with this bitch, but it's been a night, so let's do the shots together, whatever. Blake: That's what life is about. Casey: And yeah, that's that's how the night ends. They're up super late and Karen is hung over the next day, but like refusing to acknowledge it, which is a common theme for Karen's alcoholism. But it comes up again in the morning. Giselle had to leave because she has like this like book event for I didn't even realize she wrote a book, but she wrote a book and she like has some literary award event for it. So she leaves the trip. And Monique is talking about how Giselle, when she was there, was kept pulling people. For like side chats. Like, and she thinks that's really rude to do on somebody else's trip. And Ashley like speaks up and tries to defend Giselle, saying, no, let me tell you like what what we were discussing. Like, I'll let you guys in on why they were being weird about it, and like, let me tell you. And she tells them the whole story. like a cheating, why Giselle did that, like Candace like finding out and being like, I really appreciate her doing that. So it's all out there. And Monique basically doesn't care. She's like, no, I don't agree with you. It's definitely shady. Like it's just shady to bring up at all. Like Candace is messy. She's always somehow hearing about rumors about all of our like relationships and lives and bringing them up. Like it's it's intentional. And everybody else is kind of like Yeah, we don't really agree. Like it seems like she had pretty good intentions with this one. Like Ashley's not upset. Like why are you like making this an issue when like it's not one at all? Blake: She just is mad at Candace and she just wants Casey: Yes. Blake: another thing to be mad about. Casey: Yes. And she's mad as fuck. Like, I don't know at what point on this trip it like hit a point with Monique, but like she is on one for the rest of this trip. And after she like walks away from this conversation, they're all kind of like, she's mad as fuck. And like everyone better tread lightly because like she is she is on one. And so they're all sitting there and this is like just a side piece. But Wendy told Robin about all the fireball that they drank. So Robin like making conversation with Karen. It's like Karen like how are you feeling girly? I heard I heard you were having some fireball last night and Karen like deadpan looks at Robin And goes, what are you talking about, Robin? Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: Like she wasn't with three other cast members on camera slamming like nine plus shots, I'm pretty sure. Like Blake: What are you talking about? Casey: what are you talking about, Robin? And Robin's like, okay, like I guess I'll just shut the hell up. Like why the I don't know why I even talk, like Blake: I'll go fuck myself, I suppose. Casey: So wild. they all just like have no patience for each other. So like they're all being so Blake: Ha ha. Casey: curt and like taking these little like mocking jabs, but it's it's great TV. It probably is wasn't a great vibe to be in, but I I'm enjoying it. Blake: I mean Karen and Robin have such a continuously impossible relationship and I do love it. Casey: No, it's amazing. And it only gets worse, not between the two of them, but in this group conversation, because Karen tries to change the subject off of her alcoholism. And she's like, you know, I I do I do love a bonfire though. Like what a lovely bonfire that we had. Like that was so lovely. And Monique is like, Exactly. And that's exactly why everyone should have been at the bonfire. And it's so messed up that they were inside during our bonfire. So like we're back to this. And Candace is Over it, so she walks away, and Wendy and Robin are trying to bring Monique back down to earth. They're a little bit, you know, girl, what are we doing right now? Like, this is not that serious, and Monique just really stands like 10 toes down on the fact that she doesn't think that Candace is genuine and she doesn't trust her, and she feels pretty justified in all of this. and it continues to go badly throughout the rest of the trip. The husband. Some of the husbands come for like a day or two and then everybody leaves. And when Candace is leaving, Monique is sleep. She is out like a light. And Chris, her husband, is like, babe, Matt, she's sleeping, babe. Monique in the most Blake: Hehehehehe. Casey: like uncomfortable spot is just It's like eyes closed. Blake: She looks like a like a pharaoh, like the way that she's like laying in her like sarcophagus. Like Casey: Like she's so obviously not really sleeping like and she's just being shady and like doesn't want to talk to her like me when I was a kid and like didn't want to deal with my parents and like thought they didn't know. Like she knows. Like come Blake: Hehehehe. Casey: on. and that's the end of the lake house and the transition back to regular life scenes is basically that Michael admits to Ashley that like something has happened and the news starts to break publicly and then we like get their sit down when she gets back from the trip with baby Dean. Blake: Yeah, and so the there is an article out about Michael and the cheating because this the woman he went to the hotel room with posted a picture of him from behind while he was like checking his phone and he was just wearing boxers. And so that got leaked and so now it's like a story that's out there. Ashley wants answers, so they go to get dinner and you could tell Ashley is like trying to keep it together, but she's pissed. and basically Michael just tells Ashley, like, I met this woman at the strip club. She was one of the strippers. We went to a bar, and then she was like, Do you wanna go like have fun at a hotel room? And he was like, Yeah. And then he's he tells her that he was just so drunk that he fell asleep, and like they didn't have sex or anything, and then he woke up next to her, went to go check his phone and his underwear, and that's when she snapped the picture, and Ashley says, like Okay, but if I find out anything else catastrophic, like they're done. And they Ashley also kind of like tells him that they're no longer going to have like an open relationship or an open marriage where like they can like play around with like other women. and then at that point Michael like tells the producer to get over there and is like, I'm done. Cut the cameras, dead ass. Like I just told her something so real and raw. And the producer's like And thank you for doing that. I really appreciate it. And he's like, I don't know what else you want from me. And I'm like, Sir, like you're on a TV show. Like I He's a creep. Casey: He's such a weirdo. Like he's such a weirdo. Blake: I'm just like, I don't know like what you want them to do. Like you you are filming a scene and like and now you're upset that you shared something that like you The camera's right there. Like they're not hiding in a bush. I'm very confused why you're so like up in arms about it. It's it's not an ambush. Casey: Yeah, this wasn't like a a staged like a staged attack. Like you're not getting punked. Like you knew that we Blake: Like Casey: were here this whole time. Blake: Yeah, he's he's really annoying and it's funny because it's like he has no problem making an ass of himself on camera, like certain times, but then other times he's like, Get away from me. Like, don't you dare capture this and I'm like like this is actually the most tame we've ever seen you, like buddy Casey: Like we've captured enough. At this point just let him capture the rest. Like it's not gonna save you. Blake: Right, we have you on candid camera squeezing ass, so I would just maybe maybe maybe either just never be on camera or just let it let it rip 'cause we've seen enough. Giselle meets up with Robin and she's like, You know what? There's been a lot of foolishness in this group, so why don't we like get the women together at a winery? We can like celebrate that I won this literary award because No one acts a fool at a wine tasting. Which is like the most mega foreshadowing of of the of the real house fives ever. Casey: Like, my god. Blake: it's like a rule of human nature that like no one has ever or will Casey: Like, my god. Blake: ever. and like Candace and Monique at this point, the relationship is like very clearly not in a good place and it's not gonna get better, and I don't think either of them care to anymore. And like Monique was Is having like a live podcast show and like Candace like dropped out of that. Like you you can just tell at this point they're done with each other. So Casey: Yeah, it it's game over. After this fake sleeping incident. No more. Blake: There's no pleasantries, there's nothing. so they go to the venue for the wine tasting, which is just a giant barn. And everyone is kind of dressed in like twenty fifteen like mall winter chic l like. Casey: Yeah, like I don't know if they got sent a picture of the barn beforehand and like really tried to like bring a certain energy to the barn. Like ki Wendy's in a huge hat. Candace is in a big hat as well, but a slightly smaller hat than Wendy's. Giselle's in a bedazzled beanie. Like Karen and Ashley are in ponchos. Blake: Ha ha Casey: It's there's there's a lot going on, I feel like, fashion-wise, for this event. So immediately, if you are an astute vibe reader, you will recognize something is afoot here and things are about to get crazy just by the just by the outfits. That's how you know. Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: And right away things do get weird. Like so if you knew, then you knew right away because Ashley. Just kinda casually is like, you know, she's talking about like breastfeed or something you like can't drink question mark a lot while you're breastfeeding. Like you have to like dump it out if you like drink, 'cause then the the alcohol is like in the the milk question mark. Whatever. Blake: I think she said like I can have like one glass of wine or something is what she said. Casey: Right. So they're like, are you drinking? Like are you having something? And she's like, I think I might have a glass, but honestly, like, what are the chances that you like get pregnant while breastfeeding? I know it's more difficult, but like I don't know. And the women are all kind of like What in the goddamn hell are you talking about? Like last we heard your husband has a boyfriend and a wife and was at the strip club till all hours of the night. And then the next time Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: we see you, you're potentially pregnant. Like, obviously implying that y'all are good. Like, if you're getting pregnant. And so they're all like really confused. And Ashley's energy is very weird too. She's almost giddy telling them this. And it's very Delusional. It's like is she trying to like erase the bad memory with this one? And maybe they'll all just forget like what happened. Blake: I think she's just really good at like PR and like downplaying it and trying to act like mature about it rather than like, Guys, it was it's true and I'm devastated. Like she doesn't wanna like crack at all. So she's just like Casey: Yeah. I also think like when women have a child with a man or like especially like if you don't have like a very like secure like financial position that you have a child, like you kind of like will rationalize anything to like make it work 'cause it would be a lot more difficult leaving that adds a whole other factor too. So like maybe she's just trying to make it work in her own head and like you know, sometimes that's what you have to do. Sometimes it's survive and and worry about getting rid of that man later and like that's kind of what Ashley's in right now. But yeah Mean crazy to say that she might be pregnant while still breastfeeding her child and probably still having postpartum depression, and her husband is cheating on her. So, like, this is a crazy thing to say. and she has to talk to them about everything, like, she literally hasn't seen them since the lake house, so she tries to tell if she tells them the story, but you know, like the language used is interesting. Like, she's like, Yeah, this woman like was begging him to go to a room with her. Her and like he took the bait, but like he didn't sleep with her, you know, he fell asleep on top of the covers. And the women have the reaction that all of us have. Like, girl, Blake: You believe that? Casey: girl, you really think Blake: Yeah, like Casey: that if he went that far to go up to the hotel room that he just slept there? Blake: He just passed out immediately in the bed. Nothing happened. Sure. Casey: Not not then, not in the morning, not in the middle of the night. You thought, no. Like Blake: Like he took his clothes off, got down to the boxers, and then just passed out. And then woke up and said, gee golly, look at the time. I gotta go. I Casey: And like even if he didn't sleep with her, isn't it isn't the rest of it enough? Like that's so disrespectful. Like, Blake: That part. Casey: it's crazy. And like that's, you know, what again, the natural reaction is what the women have to her. Like, this is exactly what they're saying to her. this is wild. And she tells them that. you know, this is the last thing that she'll tolerate and that she told him that and if anything more happens, it it's game over. and the women are kinda like, All right, girl whatever. Blake: Yeah. I mean they're just like you do you and then of course we pivot to talking about Candace and Monique and Ashley's like, Are you guys good now? And it's funny 'cause every time someone asks them that, it's like there's been no evidence that they are. Like things have only gotten Casey: No. Like literally no. Blake: progressively worse and people are like, So what about you guys? Like how are how are things going? It's like, bad. Very bad. Casey: Right, still bad, as you all know. And like that's probably another nice thing about being in a housewives friend group. Like when you do something horrible and the heat starts to come to you, like just there's something else going on. Like just send it back. Like just volley it back over the net. Like Blake: Yeah. Casey: w what about you two? This is that's basically what's happening this whole season with the entire cast. Like anytime anyone Blake: Yeah. Casey: starts to get questioned about something, they're like, Let's do something else, because there's enough Blake: Hehehehehe. Casey: going on. And that's what happens here and it it works. It works excellently because we move right along to their conflict, which is like primed and ready to detonate at this event. Like as you said, it's been building and building and nothing has been fixed. They keep getting poked and prodded about it. And now it's time to come to a head. Blake: Yeah, so Candace brings up, you know, Monique pretending to be asleep and Monique like trying to clap back is like I'm actually I was awake, I'm always woke. that's not like really that doesn't make any sense. Casey: Like do you not remember pretending to be asleep? Like you're do you not know what she's referencing? Like what do you mean she's not saying you're not awoke? Blake: Yo, like what do you mean like that's such a stupid that has nothing to do with anything. But then she's like, well, you don't understand because you don't have kids, but I was tired, and then Candace is like, Don't mom shame me. Like that's not fair. And it's Giselle decides to be like, Clearly it's something deeper than sleeping and mom shaming. Like Casey: Like Blake: you think? Thanks for do you Casey: Like let's let's stop dancing around this ladies. Like let's cut to the let's cut to the bone. Blake: And then this is when Canda they're just kind of screaming at each other at this point, and Candace like mimicking Monique and she's like spinning around and like twirling and Monique is getting worked up and and is like, yeah, keep keep twirling, keep spinning, whatever. it's it is very like it reminds me of the fight with Portia and Kenya when they were in like I wanna say like Jamaica or like something like that. the one where Apollo through Kenya in the pool or whatever, you know when they were flirting and then Porsche, whatever. Anyway, it was like the the Gomp Casey: yeah. Candace is very, very Kenya Moore daughter. Like she Blake: Yes. Casey: is there in the the housewife family tree. I feel like we talked about this once before. Like if there's like a a grandmother, like Kenya is her mother and well then there wouldn't be a grandmother. Or Kenya would be the grandmother if Candice has a daughter. That's how family goes. But Blake: Yeah. Casey: Anyways, it's very Kenya Moore. And like that becomes like the sticking point of that the altercation that we're we are about to discuss is that Candace like has responsibility on her shoulders for like working people up and getting people to a point where they want to smack her, which is literally exactly what Kenya does and exactly the conversations that happen when Kenya incites people to moments of violence or near violence. So it's it's very like in that way I was like, my God, the history book on the shelf is always repeating itself like here we go. Blake: Yeah. And so, like, Candace is get like getting in Monique's face and she is like getting all up in her face and Monique's like, Get your hand out of my face, get your hand out my face and then that's when Candace starts saying, Are you gonna drag me? Are you gonna drag me? Why don't we just play the goddamn clip? Karen screaming in that theatrical voice. Casey: Let her go. Blake: Let her go. Damn though, like that must have hurt. I also like you it happens so fast you don't really see that like Monique is also like like whacking her as she's like grabbing her head like Casey: thumping her. Like she's got one hand in an absolute iron grip. on Candace's wig. And then with the Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: other hand, she's just whacking her over the head. Like literally just Blake: Wack walk walk. Casey: walloping her into the table. And like the the grip is crazy. I mean everyone that's why everyone's yelling let her go. It's not even like stop hitting her. Like everyone's like my god the grip she has on her like is True, true anger and hatred. Like that's what's powering that that grip. And Candace is like gripping her own wig to like keep it. Cause I guess it would just get pulled. Right. Blake: I guess make sure it doesn't get like ripped off. Casey: I feel like some wigs too are like better better like placed on your head and like it might like have a different exit than like a shake and go wig that would just like pull off your head. Like are there like sew-ins? Like wouldn't that be s Blake: Yeah, maybe it's like sew ins, yeah. Casey: so maybe like it was something like that where like it was like actually like coming Blake: Which would hurt even more. Casey: right. So I I don't know enough about wigology to say, but I'm sure that it hurt regardless of whatever wig situation she had going on. I mean she had to have had the worst head headache of all time after this. Like the force that was being applied to her small little cranium by Monique's grip, like, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: she should have been checked out by medical professionals for sure. Like they probably shook something loose in inside that head. Blake: I'm sure her brain was like like whacking back and forth against her skull like ping pong ball. Damn. Casey: Right. Right. Blake: But it's crazy because like you ha she has like five people on her and no one can get her to like let go and then finally they like escort her off to like the stairwell like that's randomly Casey: Mm-hmm. Blake: on the side of the barn and like the producer is like blocking the door and like telling her to like you know, exit the other way and then she goes down the stairs and then turns right back around and is like, Actually I'm not done and then she like tries to get through the door and the producer's like, No and she's like, Let me back in and he's like, No, actually I won't It is really scary Casey: It's kind of threatening. And she like she gets mad at him, like not letting her back through the main door, and she goes Honestly, fuck it, I'll go around. And she like goes down the stairs and like is angrily stalking around the entire property. And like, you know, Candace is inside. Her like hair is a mess. She looks a mess. The floor is covered in vegetables and dip and glasses and and wine. The table's sideways. Like all of the producers are on camera. Like, who are you guys? Like, I'm I'm scared. Like, there's a lot going Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: on. but I this was always like one of the crazier parts to me when I first watched this, and it still is to me now is Monique physically starts running after Candace while they're like forcing her to flee the property. Like they're like literally like multiple producers around her, like bodyguards, like walking her to the car door, like trying to Blake: Yeah. Casey: get her off the property. And Candace is kind of like, wait, why do I have to leave? Like, I'm not really the issue here. Like, this is kind of messed up. And they're please, Blake: Yeah. Casey: please just stop talking, get in. in the car, like she could be anywhere. Like get in. Blake: She does sort of do this like Hulk run where she like gets into full superhero, she's Casey: Well Blake: like lunging towards the car once she Casey: Like you'd think they were being dramatic, and that's kind of what Candace is saying, but like she doesn't even know that Monique is in a deadlock sprint coming for her. Like, get close the Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: door. Like I would be the same way, like just close the door, just just get in the car and go. Like, I know it's not Blake: Close the door like, let's leave. Casey: like well, it's not talking about whose fault it is. Just just get out of here. Like and when she when she runs up and Candace is gone, she s makes a remark in front of the other women and says, I'm I'm gonna kill her. Like I'm I'm gonna kill her. And they're all like, now we're Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: killing. her like this is pretty bad and Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Karen and Ashley are like being sympathetic towards Monique as much as you know anyone can be in this moment and they're like trying to calm her down and be there for her. And Giselle, Robin, and Wendy are not. Like they immediately are like Monique is in the wrong completely. We don't stand with her. This is disgusting. Like justice for Candace. Like this is foul. And so her coming in and being like, I'm gonna kill her, like did not help. Blake: It honestly feels like one of those horror movies where you're like finally in the car and you're like, my god, we escaped and then like the the guy the the creature like jumps onto like the windshield and is like was holding onto the car the whole time. Like that's the way it feels like that like Monique is in this moment. She's like, I'm gonna find her, I'm gonna kill her, like I'm gonna keep running, I'll run after the car, I'll get to the car, I'll jump on top of the car, like I'll get inside the car. Like it's it's Casey: Like it is it is like threatening. Like even from from watching safely on my couch at home. Like I was Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: on rewatch first time. Like I'm like, my god. She really was coming for her. Blake: It's it's a good day not to be named Candace. Casey: Like holy shit. She was really mad as fuck. I don't think I'll ever be that mad in my life. Like, I have never, let alone to get me to follow someone around somewhere, let alone start sprinting. Like, I'm just too lazy for that shit. Like, we'll see ya. Blake: The women are all re r understandably like, where do we go from here? And it does take a couple days for everyone for the dust to settle and everyone to be like, Alright, like, how do I feel about this? Let me process. and so Karen offers to host like a debrief of the situation. I guess Monique wanted to speak to the women, But she you know, obviously they're not gonna go to her house. So like Karen offers to have like a third party neutral home, for people to come to and like hear Monique's side. Candace obviously won't be there. she's still reeling after being after her little cranium was swung back and forth like like a little ping pong ball. so the Giselle gets to Karen's first and she has a bodyguard with her. Like this very, very large man arrives and she's Giselle like the entire time has the most like serious like like no bullshit like this is unacceptable face. Like she's like, I have I have a bodyguard, this is unacceptable, I'm done. And you can tell like she's has her mind made up. Nothing Monique will say will change her mind. and so Ashley also brings a bodyguard in the form of baby Dean. 'cause she's like Casey: Like don't piss me off. He hasn't missed a scene. Like he literally he literally Blake: I know literally. Casey: is so present and hard working. Like thank you. Thank you, B D Blake: Robin and Giselle both are talking about how they don't think that Monique is remorseful because she tweeted, Ask and you shall receive. Which I also would say that helps the case of like, yeah, she's probably not remorseful if she's like taunting her after on Twitter. Casey: Yeah, that's crazy. Blake: Monique arrives. Immediately starts crying and apologizes and says she doesn't want to be defined by one bad moment, one bad choice, and she's like, don't really remember like how it happened. I'm trying to piece things together. And then the producers like do a flashback to like the immediate aftermath of Monique in the car with the producer describing the play by play of what Casey: Mm. Blake: exactly just happened in detail. So it's like, okay, like maybe that's a bit dramatic. Or maybe she like maybe after the adrenaline wore off, she like Casey: Right. Right. Blake: forgot everything. Like that is a possibility, I suppose. and Casey: Or like if she was really drunk, like you can be talking when you're drunk and like not remember it, but who can say? Blake: Yeah, very fair. And so she kinda does her whole spiel, like this isn't me, I don't want it I don't want like this to get in between our friendships. I'm I'm thinking about it, whatever. And th this is how Robin responds. Casey: Chair. Blake: So well a few things. You almost had me. And she kinda like does this like No, Casey: Like why is she the funniest woman alive? Like Blake: that was really good And she basically is just like you almost had me but like you tweeted like ask and you shall receive And then Monique like doubles down on that and goes Yep I did And they're like So that doesn't really make me think that you feel remorse And she goes I don't And they're like W Like so you just don't like I thought you were trying Casey: Like Blake: to like convince us that you did Was that not what this whole thing was about? And she's like, I don't feel remorseful. And they're like, got it. Casey: Like she's literally digging her own grave. Like why? I think it's Giselle who says, like, I don't even know why we're here or i think it's Wendy actually. Blake: Right. Casey: Like, if you're not remorseful then like what what is this gathering for? Like I don't really understand what we're doing right now. Blake: What were you What were you trying to tell us? Like you were trying to come here to be like, I recognize that what I did was bad, but she had it coming? Like, okay. Casey: Right. It's not effective. And Ashley and Karen, like, again, like they're pretty determined to like be on her side or as much as they like can be, like, when she's at least like physically there. And I thought that this one this was kind of funny. Cause like it's definitely Ashley just trying to throw her a bone, like grasping at straws. But at one point she interrupts the conversation of like valid points against Monique and goes, But do we hold men to this same standard? Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Giselle is like yes, like yes. Like, yes, like this would be an issue regardless of gender. Like and like how funny. Like, wait. And like, yeah, Blake: Yeah, like I think we just have to stand against violence. And Casey: Loki, you know what? Let her speak. Let's start with the men before we before we get to Monique. Blake: Let her speak. Do we hold baby Dean to this standard? Casey: Amen. Blake: And Giselle's like, I would believe this, except for the fact that this isn't the first time you've gotten violent. And then she like brings up examples of like she like Monique and Robin had that like I'll choke you out with an umbrella moment. I guess Monique once said she's close to like punching Giselle or something. Like she just kind of rolls through these like things. and A like as Giselle's saying this, like Monique is kind of like chirping in and being like, okay, okay, sure, all right, whatever. Like something like that. And Robin gets mad and is like, Why are you being so condescending? Like, let her speak, like getting mad 'cause I guess they're like, We're here to listen to you and you're clearly like being defiant right now and like it's not really making us want to be your friend. Casey: Right. It's it's not giving remorseful, like it's giving defiant, like and defensive over her actions. Like so they're not liking her attitude on the matter. Like it it adds up. Blake: Right. Wendy agrees, doesn't think Monique is remorseful, and then yeah, Monique's like I'm not at the moment. Giselle goes, I have zero respect for you and I don't wanna be anywhere near you And then she gets up and leaves. So she like th that's fine, you can leave. Like, okay, so I guess like n this this was just like a waste of time because n nothing was gonna be productive if you weren't going to at least be like, I'm so fucking sorry. Like that was awful. Casey: Like I shouldn't have done that, and I do owe her an apology, even if I don't like her. Like that that would be as simple as that. Like her whole thing Blake: Yeah. Casey: is like basically like I'm embarrassed by like how this reflected on me and on y'all, but I'm not sorry for hurting Candace. Which is a crazy stance to take after something like this. Like Blake: Crazy. She says apologize for what? Casey: Like the one part that you actually need to apologize for is that you like attacked and hurt someone and you're apologizing for everything else basically to the wrong people and they're like, Girl, this does nothing. Like Blake: No, it's crazy. She's like, apologize for what? So, yeah, and then Monique also tries to say that like Candace provoking her was the same as like physically putting hands on Candace and they're like, No, actually, not at all. Casey: Literally immediately no. They're all like, Well, no, we can't let you s get away with that one. Like it's it's definitely worse, like Blake: Yeah, like actually the they're very different things. and Monique is Casey: Which is so crazy because Kenya has the same issue as as we mentioned, like they have this kind of same debate. And it's like this happens when you're a child, you learn this. Like the person who punches or gets physical loses every single time. Like you doesn't Blake: Yeah. Casey: matter what happens before it, you lose. I learned that with my little sister pretty damn quickly, that regardless of what she did to me, if I touched her, especially 'cause I'm older or I'm bigger or whatever it may be, like You're gonna lose and like that's true here. Like it's crazy. Like how do you not know this? Like come on now. Yes, it's annoying, but it's ultimately the way of the world. Blake: It's been days and you can't come to that. Like Yeah, and no one would say Candace wasn't being annoying or provoking you, but like that also like the minute you hit her you lost the argument, unfortunately. Like Casey: Like if you replace like hitting her with like shooting her, it's not like you'd like, but she was provoking her. Blake: Ha ha ha Casey: Like d that no. You'd like that was illegal in murder, but like Blake: Yeah, and she's dead now, so what about that? Casey: So Blake: and yeah, Monique is basically just like, I maybe I don't need to be a part of this group right now because they're not like allowing her to get away with saying that she doesn't need to apologize to Kandis. Casey: Like, yeah, maybe you can't be a part of this group right now because your only allies are Ashley and Karen and Karen is not even fully on your side. So like I don't know if I'd s stake my whole claim onto that because Karen like shortly after this event and like being very on like with Monique talks to Candace and is like, Yeah, you you could press charges for sure. Like she she does not gaff. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: and one funny moment of the debrief to shout out our favorite again. Monique, like middle of it, like talking is kinda like, Ashley, Ashley, can I can I have baby D? And she holds she Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: holds baby Dean for like the remainder of it and Robin clocks it in her confessional. She's like, now Monique is kissing babies. Trigger warning to Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Ashley. And like trying to like improve her image. Like literally like she's like Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: cooing the baby, like after they all like demolish her. Like, okay, like I guess you can hold baby Dean. Whatever. Blake: Right, I guess if that's what you need, like you you're it's not really you're you're still at zero, girl. I mean you're below zero at this point, but maybe Dean doesn't gaff. Casey: Baby Dean's had an enriching first couple months of life. Like he's had the privilege of being there for some of Potomac's most special moments. Unfortunately he wasn't there for the beatdown, but that's about the only thing. Blake: Yeah. sadly he didn't he wasn't his his wig wasn't shifted at the beatdown. Casey: Michael had to be a dad for two hours and actually watch Blake: He Casey: his child, maybe, probably not. Blake: No, probably not. let's let's end it there. thank you guys for listening. as always, like, subscribe to our YouTube, Mention It All Again podcast, follow us on Instagram, Mention It All Again Podcast, and on TikTok, I A A, that's two A's pod, Mia Pod.
