- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's 4.06 in the afternoon. It's 88 degrees. It's Tuesday,
- 0:08Speaker 1: August 4th already. 2026, Ron Verb. Okay, go ahead with
- 0:13Speaker 1: your comments, Frank.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Okay, Ron, you did a great job with Jacob about
- 0:19Speaker 2: record number of consumer card debt. You know, people are
- 0:24Speaker 2: defaulting in record numbers. But American executives who did not
- 0:31Speaker 2: quickly take advantage of low labor costs in Asia by
- 0:35Speaker 2: moving their production offshore, were warned by Wall Street that
- 0:40Speaker 2: they better get over there quickly or Wall Street would
- 0:43Speaker 2: finance takeovers of those corporations and do the job themselves.
- 0:49Speaker 2: And the American economy experienced a wave of mergers and
- 0:53Speaker 2: acquisitions that was breathtaking. Now, with the relocation of U.S.,
- 0:59Speaker 2: manufacturing jobs to Asia and Mexico, so went blue-collar jobs
- 1:05Speaker 2: and middle-class incomes. And the tax bases of U.S. cities
- 1:10Speaker 2: and states shrunk. One, America is a consumer-driven economy.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Consumer income growth stopped dead in its tracks. as a
- 1:22Speaker 2: result of shipping production factories overseas.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Well, there's two things that go in a consumer-driven economy.
- 1:28Speaker 1: There's two fundamentals. You have to have consumers, and consumers
- 1:32Speaker 1: have to have jobs to have income. Okay, so if
- 1:37Speaker 1: you're a consumer-driven economy and everything around you costs more,
- 1:44Speaker 1: you're able to consume less. You follow me? So you
- 1:48Speaker 1: buy less unless you go into debt. So in a
- 1:51Speaker 1: consumer-driven economy... that you buy less because you're spending more
- 1:58Speaker 1: for all these other items. In other words, like if
- 2:01Speaker 1: I look at my sign out here for gas today,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I have to pay $ 4. 20 for a gallon of gas
- 2:06Speaker 1: where I used to pay $ 2. 50. So I'm paying more
- 2:10Speaker 1: of my dollars for the same gallon of gas, right?
- 2:13Speaker 1: Just as we have to pay more dollars for the
- 2:15Speaker 1: same hamburger quantity that we used to get for less dollars.
- 2:20Speaker 1: So it's pretty simple to figure this stuff out when
- 2:23Speaker 1: it comes to your finances. It's not a difficult. We
- 2:28Speaker 1: are a consumer driven economy. But if consumers have less
- 2:31Speaker 1: money because more of it's taken away in inflation or taxes,
- 2:35Speaker 1: that's not a good for a consumer driven economy.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Especially when they go deep into debt and don't consume
- 2:44Speaker 2: based on their current wages.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Let me give you a catch-22. Are you ready for this?
- 2:51Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Here's a catch-22. I give this to Fort Lauderdale, Frank,
- 2:56Speaker 1: and I put this out for all of you. It's
- 2:57Speaker 1: called a catch-22. You tell me what the right answer is.
- 3:03Speaker 1: So many of you remember during COVID, you found out
- 3:07Speaker 1: for the first time that many of our antibiotics were
- 3:09Speaker 1: no longer made in the United States of America. That
- 3:12Speaker 1: they were, in fact, made in China. That you learned
- 3:15Speaker 1: that we are at their mercy because they threatened to
- 3:18Speaker 1: cut a lot of that stuff off. I don't care
- 3:20Speaker 1: if it's ibuprofen or Tylenol or whatever this stuff was.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Many of your prescriptions are made in China. And they said,
- 3:27Speaker 1: we'll cut it off. So what does Trump want to
- 3:30Speaker 1: do right now? Here's where Trump is. And remember, people
- 3:34Speaker 1: were saying at that time, by God, when did we
- 3:36Speaker 1: concede all that to China so they got us over
- 3:38Speaker 1: a barrel that we got to buy all this from
- 3:40Speaker 1: China and they can cut us off on this kind
- 3:42Speaker 1: of stuff? When did this happen? So now here's what
- 3:44Speaker 1: Trump is proposing. Trump is saying that he wants this
- 3:49Speaker 1: manufacturing to return to America. So that means you, if
- 3:53Speaker 1: you're on a generic drug, would probably pay What I'm reading,
- 4:00Speaker 1: they say substantially more than what you're paying. I don't
- 4:03Speaker 1: know what substantially means in this case, but they're saying
- 4:06Speaker 1: you would pay more than you are currently for your
- 4:11Speaker 1: generic drugs than you are presently so that you can
- 4:15Speaker 1: have that manufacturing ship back to America. Now, the question is,
- 4:22Speaker 1: are you willing to do that? And let's just say
- 4:25Speaker 1: that happens. Let's just say Trump does that to say, well,
- 4:27Speaker 1: we should make this stuff here. How many old people
- 4:30Speaker 1: do you think are going to be bitching, saying, wait
- 4:33Speaker 1: a minute, I'm paying more for all of this kind
- 4:35Speaker 1: of stuff, and I can't afford it. So there's a catch-22.
- 4:39Speaker 1: A consumer will have to pay more for these generic drugs,
- 4:43Speaker 1: but at the same time, they'll be made in America.
- 4:45Speaker 1: You won't be a victim of China, but it will
- 4:47Speaker 1: cost you more. Which one... Do you want?
- 4:52Speaker 2: Well, that's why Trump is trying to buy votes for
- 4:56Speaker 2: the midterms, because we have Trump Rx right now, which
- 5:00Speaker 2: keep generic drug prices dirt cheap. And he would expand
- 5:04Speaker 2: that if we said to China, we're not buying prescription
- 5:09Speaker 2: drugs for you. We're going to make them here in America.
- 5:12Speaker 2: And it would take years to make the same drugs
- 5:15Speaker 2: that China makes. You'd have a black market. And also, Ron,
- 5:21Speaker 2: when it comes to data AI centers, they're causing electricity
- 5:28Speaker 2: prices to rise as they compete with homeowners for electric power.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Supply and demand, right.
- 5:35Speaker 2: And America is suffering from depleted resources such as water, air,
- 5:40Speaker 2: and fertile land, for example. Now, the Democrats welcomed in
- 5:44Speaker 2: 30 million illegal aliens last who they knew would vote Democrat,
- 5:49Speaker 2: that are also accelerating the depletion of resources. And Trump's
- 5:53Speaker 2: war for Israel will send energy prices skyrocketing upward. That's
- 5:58Speaker 2: why the Republicans stole Venezuela's oil and is threatening to
- 6:03Speaker 2: steal Greenland's and Canada's resources as well. But, you know,
- 6:08Speaker 2: I want to add to the great point you made
- 6:11Speaker 2: to Ted and Jacob. Under Trump, 6 million student loan
- 6:18Speaker 2: borrowers were in default last August. That figure surged to
- 6:24Speaker 2: 7.7 million by December, and now by April, student loan
- 6:28Speaker 2: defaults have surged again to 9.2 million borrowers, which is
- 6:34Speaker 2: one in every five persons with student debt. And another
- 6:38Speaker 2: 3 million are 90 days delinquent or more and also
- 6:43Speaker 2: heading towards default. Now, Obama, Biden, and Trump have kicked
- 6:49Speaker 2: the can down the road through payment pauses, but with
- 6:53Speaker 2: interest continuing to accumulate so that some former students now
- 6:58Speaker 2: owe more than their original principal.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Well, what was it, and you might, I mean, listen,
- 7:05Speaker 1: it was ridiculous, and I think it had to do
- 7:07Speaker 1: with Was it car loans or something that tried to
- 7:11Speaker 1: make it more affordable? They wanted it to be like
- 7:12Speaker 1: an eight-year loan or nine-year loan. I forgot. No, it
- 7:17Speaker 1: was housing.
- 7:18Speaker 2: He wanted to extend mortgage loans to 50 years. Most
- 7:23Speaker 2: people would be dead. before they paid.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Yeah right right this was some of the discussion how
- 7:29Speaker 1: do we make housing more affordable for people and and
- 7:33Speaker 1: it was you would have a 50-year mortgage of which
- 7:38Speaker 1: of which you you would you know you probably follow
- 7:40Speaker 1: it the money people said you'd be just better off
- 7:42Speaker 1: renting because it's ridiculous you'll never pay it off.
- 7:46Speaker 2: You know ron florida has one of the best managed
- 7:50Speaker 2: state economies in the country.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Hey, Frank, Frank, I was just down there. I just
- 7:54Speaker 1: came back late last night, and I bet you people
- 7:58Speaker 1: listening thought I was probably down there visiting Frank from
- 8:00Speaker 1: Fort Lauderdale.
- 8:03Speaker 2: No, you weren't. You were enjoying yourself. But I don't
- 8:07Speaker 2: know why you came in the summer. It's like in
- 8:09Speaker 2: the 90s.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Oh, it was wonderful.
- 8:12Speaker 4: It was great.
- 8:13Speaker 5: You want to know.
- 8:14Speaker 2: How bad the economy has run? Florida has the highest
- 8:17Speaker 2: unemployment home foreclosure rate in the country. That's how bad
- 8:22Speaker 2: things are. And we've got a good economy compared to
- 8:25Speaker 2: the other 49 states.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Yeah, you do. It's a great area. All right, Frank,
- 8:32Speaker 1: enough today. Thank you, my friends. All right, Fort Lauderdale. Frank,
- 8:35Speaker 1: you're on the air.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Hello.
- 8:39Speaker 6: There's a conversation going on. The narrative jumps all over
- 8:41Speaker 6: the place. But, you know, you started out the program
- 8:43Speaker 6: very well. You can support Donald Trump and be critical
- 8:47Speaker 6: of him. You know, I'm 100 percent. I would never
- 8:50Speaker 6: have voted for the other alternative. But some of the
- 8:54Speaker 6: things that are going on right now, I'm just not
- 8:55Speaker 6: happy with. I could point them out. I could be
- 8:57Speaker 6: critical of them. I'm not going to be a cheerleader.
- 8:59Speaker 6: There's a big difference between the economy and the stock market.
- 9:03Speaker 6: I mean, one day we're at war. One day we're
- 9:06Speaker 6: making a deal. you know why did that what the
- 9:08Speaker 6: market go up today out of the working and have
- 9:10Speaker 6: but she is the pension but i'm sure it had
- 9:12Speaker 6: something to do with us coming up of pot deal
- 9:15Speaker 6: possible and i guess what friday at four oh one
- 9:18Speaker 6: we're gonna decapitate the iranian regime you know that It
- 9:22Speaker 6: keeps going back and forth and back and forth. And
- 9:24Speaker 6: the administration, they're not dumb. They didn't get this position
- 9:27Speaker 6: because they got lucky. You know, you play the narrative.
- 9:29Speaker 6: You let the market ride up by saying there's a deal.
- 9:32Speaker 7: There's no deal.
- 9:33Speaker 6: The market comes back in. It goes back up. You know,
- 9:36Speaker 6: it's not Frank and Ted trading this afternoon, buying mutual
- 9:41Speaker 6: funds and ETFs. These are algorithmic-driven markets. They see the headline,
- 9:47Speaker 6: and then they buy on the news. It's the same
- 9:48Speaker 6: thing with the oil. When oil drops to $ 70 a barrel...
- 9:52Speaker 6: It's not because the straighter moves opened up and the
- 9:54Speaker 6: Iranians are waving the white flag. I mean, this is
- 9:58Speaker 6: a game back and forth. They're going to drag this out.
- 10:00Speaker 6: They understand they got midterms. They can't let oil soar
- 10:02Speaker 6: through the roof. Got a complete mess on our hands.
- 10:06Speaker 6: If you believe the CPI numbers or the inflation numbers,
- 10:09Speaker 6: I mean... Are you just blind? If you don't understand
- 10:14Speaker 6: or lie to what inflation is, I mean, you're just
- 10:17Speaker 6: listening to a narrative that's just been given to you.
- 10:20Speaker 6: You have to open your eyes and see what's going
- 10:22Speaker 6: on in the world around you. I'm happy that some
- 10:25Speaker 6: market will day, but it could go down just as
- 10:28Speaker 6: easy a few days from now. And you hit the
- 10:30Speaker 6: nail on the head. The market shouldn't go up. The
- 10:32Speaker 6: NASDAQ shouldn't go up three and a half percent or
- 10:34Speaker 6: four percent in a day. What news came out that
- 10:38Speaker 6: made all of these companies that much more profitable. What
- 10:41Speaker 6: company goes up $ 100 billion in one day on what
- 10:44Speaker 6: kind of news? Did they come out with something new?
- 10:47Speaker 6: I mean, everybody, the market is just S & P 500.
- 10:50Speaker 6: You buy a basket, one stock goes up, and as
- 10:53Speaker 6: long as that's a bigger portion in the basket, the
- 10:55Speaker 6: whole market goes up. I mean, Frank's right in a
- 10:58Speaker 6: lot of points there. I don't usually agree with Frank,
- 11:01Speaker 6: but when we came off that gold standard in 1971,
- 11:04Speaker 6: inflation's been.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Through the roof.
- 11:06Speaker 6: It's just We've had a GDP that's been able to
- 11:09Speaker 6: cover it all. You guys have all the, like you said, too,
- 11:13Speaker 6: health care prices, pharmaceutical prices. I could tell you right now,
- 11:16Speaker 6: if you gave every 100 boomers out there the option
- 11:20Speaker 6: to make medications in America or pay less for them,
- 11:23Speaker 6: 98 of them will say, I want to pay less
- 11:25Speaker 6: because the other 2% have so much money that it
- 11:27Speaker 6: doesn't matter to them. Our country is going to absolute
- 11:32Speaker 6: bonker town today. Moving forward, we've got nothing good going
- 11:36Speaker 6: on right now. Most people don't even realize we bailed
- 11:39Speaker 6: out Japan Friday. I mean, that's not even in the news.
- 11:42Speaker 6: Their market, I can go on a whole tangent about that.
- 11:45Speaker 6: We totally saved them because they have no domestic oil production,
- 11:49Speaker 6: and they're buying all of their oil in a dollar
- 11:53Speaker 6: in their currency. It's getting destroyed. If we didn't bail
- 11:55Speaker 6: them out on Friday, they probably would be wrecking the
- 11:57Speaker 6: whole entire stock market. People don't understand that. They just
- 12:01Speaker 6: every two weeks put their money into their 401k, their 403b,
- 12:05Speaker 6: and all the market does is go up. On what?
- 12:08Speaker 6: Because we have deflated dollars. Everybody's getting richer nominally, but
- 12:12Speaker 6: everybody complains about the same thing, that your dollar doesn't
- 12:15Speaker 6: buy as much. We've got every local government in this
- 12:18Speaker 6: area crying that they need more money. It's because the
- 12:21Speaker 6: local government's getting your tax dollars, and those dollars are
- 12:25Speaker 6: worth less. Your local government can't put money into assets.
- 12:28Speaker 6: The polling... Canfield, all these townships, they can't invest their
- 12:33Speaker 6: money in the S & P 500. So they're getting
- 12:35Speaker 6: hit by inflation, too. Of course, you can do things
- 12:38Speaker 6: on the margin to fix things that are wasteful, idiotic.
- 12:41Speaker 5: Spending, of course.
- 12:43Speaker 6: But it all comes back to money. Everything comes back
- 12:47Speaker 6: to money. And the money is just completely ruined and
- 12:50Speaker 6: it's wrecked. And the whole system in which it operates
- 12:53Speaker 6: is ruined and wrecked. I mean, I'll tell you right now, too,
- 12:57Speaker 6: I'm all over the place because everybody else's comments are
- 12:59Speaker 6: all over the place because we can't focus on one thing.
- 13:01Speaker 6: We got so many problems. Look at Donald Trump. Are
- 13:03Speaker 6: you happy that now you can buy for $ 100, 000 earlier
- 13:09Speaker 6: access to his posts, his tweets on X or Trump
- 13:12Speaker 6: or whatever? You don't think that moves the market? If
- 13:15Speaker 6: you get millisecond faster information that Donald Trump's going to
- 13:19Speaker 6: do this, this or that, that moves the market instantaneously.
- 13:22Speaker 6: That is completely insane that he even thinks or that
- 13:27Speaker 6: his family or his team thinks that that's okay. I mean,
- 13:31Speaker 6: everything is all over the place. And I talked to
- 13:34Speaker 6: you last week before I think the legal show is
- 13:37Speaker 6: the last thing we talked about. Did you even see
- 13:40Speaker 6: what happened in Spain the other day?
- 13:43Speaker 1: What happened?
- 13:45Speaker 6: Did you see? They don't even know it's 40 or
- 13:46Speaker 6: 80,000 people. migrants stormed the beach in Spain. If you
- 13:53Speaker 6: watch the video, it looks like a zombie apocalypse. I mean,
- 13:57Speaker 6: look at this. I'll criticize Donald Trump for these things
- 14:01Speaker 6: because the opposite would have been, instead of that happening
- 14:04Speaker 6: in Spain, it would have happened in our country. 40,000
- 14:07Speaker 6: to 8,000 military-aged men, these weren't women and children, didn't
- 14:12Speaker 6: all just decide one morning to storm the beaches of
- 14:15Speaker 6: this little enclave of northern Africa on the beach of Morocco.
- 14:20Speaker 6: Because somebody organized it, they knew that Spain has a law,
- 14:24Speaker 6: if you come by sea, you don't get deported. So
- 14:27Speaker 6: they just took a population of 60,000 in that sea
- 14:31Speaker 6: to Spain, and doubled it overnight. There's migrants just running
- 14:35Speaker 6: amok there, and they're all going to get citizenship there
- 14:38Speaker 6: because they won't get deported because of Spain. So what
- 14:41Speaker 6: happens when they get citizenship? They're all just going to
- 14:44Speaker 6: disperse over Europe. Europe is a complete disaster. We're going
- 14:48Speaker 6: the same direction, and yeah, I will criticize Trump again
- 14:52Speaker 6: because if Kamala Harris were president, that 60,000 people in
- 14:56Speaker 6: Spain would have been organized, the 60,000 people flood our border,
- 14:59Speaker 6: or even more over the last two years. It's just
- 15:03Speaker 6: utter insanity, and it's because, again, everything comes back to money. Everything, everything, everything.
- 15:08Speaker 6: And our whole system is broken because there's no repercussions
- 15:11Speaker 6: and no consequences to anything, ever.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that was an amazing video. Stand by for one second.
- 15:18Speaker 1: I want to come back with Alec in a minute.
- 15:19Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570 WQEN. Well, listen to this. The recent tornado.
- 15:28Speaker 1: That deal that you're talking about in Spain, if people
- 15:30Speaker 1: haven't seen that picture, it is unbelievable how many people
- 15:34Speaker 1: are rushing into that area. It's overwhelming. And think of
- 15:42Speaker 1: what that does to the folks that are already there
- 15:45Speaker 1: and the burden it puts on that society.
- 15:48Speaker 6: Yeah, and I mean, think about that would happen here 100%.
- 15:51Speaker 6: They already tried to do it. Those 60,000 25-year-old aged
- 15:58Speaker 6: men didn't do that on their own. Somebody's organizing that.
- 16:02Speaker 6: Do you think whoever's organizing that wants to get them
- 16:05Speaker 6: into Spain, or do you think they want to get
- 16:07Speaker 6: them into Europe? They want to get them here. So, yes,
- 16:11Speaker 6: I don't care if Donald Trump.
- 16:13Speaker 7: Does this and this and this.
- 16:15Speaker 6: I will criticize him for all those other things. But
- 16:18Speaker 6: the alternative was way worse. And we won't even have
- 16:22Speaker 6: a country, yet alone our financial aspect of it will
- 16:26Speaker 6: be inflation through the roof, you name it. But what
- 16:30Speaker 6: are people leaving behind? When you vote for these things,
- 16:35Speaker 6: it just blows my mind. You've got callers that will
- 16:37Speaker 6: call in and say, Donald Trump's dad gave him a
- 16:40Speaker 6: million dollars. I could never vote for him. Donald Trump
- 16:43Speaker 6: did this. I could never vote for him. And it
- 16:45Speaker 6: will turn a blind eye to their country absolutely being
- 16:49Speaker 6: utterly destroyed right in front of their face and won't
- 16:53Speaker 6: care because their hate for Donald Trump received their love
- 16:57Speaker 6: for the country. We got a lot of problems in
- 17:00Speaker 6: this country, but there are a lot of people out
- 17:02Speaker 6: there that put their hate for one single person off
- 17:08Speaker 6: anything else. And it is just cascading downhill here. And
- 17:12Speaker 6: it's getting worse and worse. You can just see it
- 17:14Speaker 6: in society as an entirety. It's getting worse and worse.
- 17:18Speaker 6: And I just wonder what we're leaving future generations. It
- 17:23Speaker 6: honestly makes me sad to see what's going on anymore. Look, again,
- 17:28Speaker 6: the economy. You can't find people to work.
- 17:30Speaker 5: Why would you work?
- 17:31Speaker 6: Why do you have to work if you can just
- 17:32Speaker 6: do this, this, and that? I don't know if you
- 17:35Speaker 6: saw the fraud that came out in Pennsylvania with all
- 17:37Speaker 6: these home health care agencies. I mean, people saying they're
- 17:41Speaker 6: taking care of their loved ones. They're getting pulled over
- 17:45Speaker 6: with drugs in the car, getting taxpayer dollars. What can
- 17:49Speaker 6: do us as taxpayers just run out? I mean, we
- 17:53Speaker 6: fought a revolution in this country over a 2% tax.
- 17:56Speaker 6: Now most people are blind. They don't even realize they're
- 17:58Speaker 6: paying 50% of what they earn in taxes. It blows
- 18:04Speaker 6: my mind that the level of frustration out there isn't higher.
- 18:07Speaker 6: And I talk to people about this, and they shrug
- 18:09Speaker 6: their shoulders. It is what it is. It is what
- 18:12Speaker 6: it is because people are lazy out there because they
- 18:14Speaker 6: just haven't suffered the consequences enough yet. And usually it
- 18:18Speaker 6: does take a catastrophe to actually get things fixed. It's
- 18:22Speaker 6: just I don't want to have to go through a
- 18:23Speaker 6: catastrophe to get the things fixed. We had a chance
- 18:26Speaker 6: during COVID when there really was an actual pandemic. It
- 18:30Speaker 6: was terribly, but we had a chance to fix a
- 18:33Speaker 6: lot of things.
- 18:33Speaker 5: We didn't.
- 18:34Speaker 6: We have all this fraud in Ohio that came to light.
- 18:38Speaker 6: We've got all of this that could have been fixed.
- 18:41Speaker 3: It didn't.
- 18:42Speaker 6: We've got all these problems locally with local government. It's
- 18:44Speaker 6: a chance to get it fixed.
- 18:46Speaker 4: It won't.
- 18:47Speaker 6: Because they'll get brushed under the rug because most people
- 18:49Speaker 6: out there would rather watch Netflix and scroll through and
- 18:53Speaker 6: just live like a zombie than actually realize what's going on.
- 18:56Speaker 6: And that's the sad part because those people's votes count
- 18:59Speaker 6: the exact same as my vote and most of the
- 19:01Speaker 6: listeners out there who are actually informed. And we've got
- 19:06Speaker 6: to have people that actually want to fix things. do
- 19:09Speaker 6: things and understand things and let people know what's going
- 19:12Speaker 6: on because this is like a frog in a pot
- 19:15Speaker 6: boiling slowly. You don't even realize it's hot until it's
- 19:19Speaker 6: too late. Look at everything we've just been talking about
- 19:24Speaker 6: the whole time. Oh, boy, the stock market went up 3.5%, 4% today. Congratulations.
- 19:30Speaker 6: I mean, what are we talking about? Again, you got
- 19:34Speaker 6: richer today nominally. If you look at the stock market,
- 19:38Speaker 6: even since 1971, priced in anything else, gold, you name it,
- 19:42Speaker 6: it's almost flat. When your dollar's less, you have more
- 19:46Speaker 6: of it, and it keeps buying you less. But people
- 19:48Speaker 6: can't comprehend that because they're not willing to put in
- 19:52Speaker 6: the work to understand it.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's of concern. Alec, I always appreciate your input.
- 19:59Speaker 1: I thank you. News Radio 570, Dodie Kivian and Ron Furb,
- 20:02Speaker 1: you're on the air.
- 20:04Speaker 8: Hi, Ron.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Hi.
- 20:06Speaker 9: I'm glad you're back. Anyhow, after all this, but I
- 20:11Speaker 9: say this, that Trump's not going to tell us everything
- 20:14Speaker 9: he's doing. And I go along with Ted. And many,
- 20:19Speaker 9: we're going through inflation. Many people know that, but they
- 20:22Speaker 9: don't seem to care.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Stand by for me. Just stand by. I'll come right
- 20:25Speaker 1: back to you. After the break, it's 4.30. Ron Ferb,
- 20:28Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570 WKBN from the Kingdom of Mahoning. NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 20:37Speaker 8: A House Ethics Committee is opening an investigation into Max Miller,
- 20:41Speaker 8: Republican congressman who's the former son-in-law. of Ohio Republican Senator
- 20:45Speaker 8: Bernie Moreno is under a deadline of tomorrow to make
- 20:48Speaker 8: a decision on whether to continue in the race for
- 20:51Speaker 8: re-election from Ohio's 7th District. If you like historic sites,
- 20:56Speaker 8: there's one in Cincinnati that's getting a lot of attention.
- 20:59Speaker 8: The Harriet Beecher Stowe House is enjoying a surge of
- 21:03Speaker 8: popularity since the completion of its restoration a couple of
- 21:06Speaker 8: years ago.
- 21:07Speaker 10: And since that time, we have seen about a 40%
- 21:11Speaker 10: increase in attendance.
- 21:13Speaker 8: Christina Hartlieb is executive director shortly after leaving Cincinnati. Harriet
- 21:18Speaker 8: Beecher Stowe wrote the legendary anti-slavery book, Uncle Tom's Cabin.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I'm Matt Reese.

- 21:32Speaker 5: Free.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Never sounded so good.
- 21:34Speaker 9: A to Z.
- 21:36Speaker 1: On News Radio 570 WKBN. Back to it. News Radio
- 21:41Speaker 1: 570 WKBN. All right. Go ahead, dear.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Hi.
- 21:44Speaker 9: Excuse me. I have a cold. Anyhow, the key to
- 21:49Speaker 9: the whole thing is If we get back to God,
- 21:52Speaker 9: He said He can heal our nation. And I see
- 21:56Speaker 9: all these religious people, too, running around with purple hair
- 22:00Speaker 9: and tattoos all over them, and all the restaurants, and
- 22:04Speaker 9: just gobs of money and all that, too, on top
- 22:06Speaker 9: of it. And then we wonder why things go wrong. So,
- 22:12Speaker 9: to me, that's the key to the whole thing. And
- 22:16Speaker 9: we can do this or that, but... If we don't
- 22:19Speaker 9: obey God's word, we're in trouble. And Israel, especially when
- 22:24Speaker 9: we come against that nation, that's really bad, too. Okay,
- 22:28Speaker 9: a little bit here. After everybody said their thoughts, that's
- 22:33Speaker 9: how I feel. I'm glad you're back. God bless.
- 22:37Speaker 1: All right. This woman wraps me around her finger with
- 22:40Speaker 1: that sweet little voice of hers. I can't even get
- 22:43Speaker 1: upset with that. I mean, you know, I can't say, well,
- 22:45Speaker 1: thanks for calling you old Badlax or anything because she
- 22:47Speaker 1: sounds so sweet and all that kind of stuff. You
- 22:50Speaker 1: totally disarm me with that. God bless. And that beautiful
- 22:54Speaker 1: little voice of yours.
- 22:56Speaker 9: Now you keep listening to... Charles Swindley, or what's his name?
- 23:01Speaker 4: I forget.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Let's see, you're so old, you can't even remember what
- 23:05Speaker 1: you're listening to anymore.
- 23:06Speaker 4: I know, I forget.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Do you know what year it is?
- 23:08Speaker 4: No, it doesn't matter.
- 23:09Speaker 9: It doesn't matter. I mean, we're running around like crazy.
- 23:12Speaker 9: We don't know what we're doing today. I mean, we
- 23:15Speaker 9: really do. A TV can really mess your mind up, Ron.
- 23:18Speaker 4: Yes.
- 23:19Speaker 9: That's what's doing the kids in that telephone thing, messing
- 23:23Speaker 9: everybody up.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Really?
- 23:25Speaker 9: And we've got to pray like crazy. For all our
- 23:28Speaker 9: people and our leaders.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Yes.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Yes.
- 23:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:33Speaker 9: So what did you learn in Florida? You know that
- 23:37Speaker 9: back here is better yet, huh? Still better.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Oh, no. Florida's wonderful.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Oh, it's too hot.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Oh, it's wonderful. It's absolutely wonderful. All right. Get out
- 23:46Speaker 1: of here, you. Yeah. All right. Goodbye. You're on air.
- 23:50Speaker 4: She's an assassin, I think. She is not. With that
- 23:53Speaker 4: sweet voice, she's probably a killer.
- 23:57Speaker 1: There he is. That Tigger laugh of his. It's J.J.
- 24:02Speaker 5: J.J.
- 24:02Speaker 1: The Trumpster, formerly known as J.J.
- 24:04Speaker 4: The Liberal.
- 24:05Speaker 1: He's like Prince.
- 24:05Speaker 4: He's a killer. I guarantee you she's all that sweet
- 24:08Speaker 4: voice and everything while she's packing heat. She probably works
- 24:13Speaker 4: with Ted going to Jersey to take out people. He's
- 24:17Speaker 4: always going to Jersey. I wonder why he's going to Jersey.
- 24:19Speaker 1: I wonder why he's going to Jersey all the time, too.
- 24:21Speaker 1: You think he's kind of like the Sopranos type thing,
- 24:25Speaker 1: going to..
- 24:27Speaker 4: Going up there with Tony and Vinny and all those guys.
- 24:34Speaker 1: He's going up there to do a hit, huh? Yeah,
- 24:36Speaker 1: he's going to.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Do a job, yeah.
- 24:39Speaker 1: How you doing? He's going to do a job, going
- 24:43Speaker 1: to do a hit.
- 24:44Speaker 4: How was your little trip down to FLA?
- 24:47Speaker 1: It was good. It was good.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Yes.
- 24:51Speaker 1: I should have taken you with me. But it was
- 24:54Speaker 1: during spring training, and you could have went over and...
- 24:57Speaker 1: watch some spring training, you know, bring it back to
- 24:59Speaker 1: your baseball.
- 25:00Speaker 4: A couple of weddings.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:03Speaker 4: Yeah. I would have, uh, it would have been, it
- 25:07Speaker 4: would have been nice. I'm glad you got a chance
- 25:08Speaker 4: to go and see your, your daughter. And, and, um,
- 25:11Speaker 4: you know, it'll be, I get a break from all
- 25:13Speaker 4: of us up here.
- 25:15Speaker 1: So get a break from all of you up here.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I tell you what.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Yeah. We did miss you though.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Thank you. I missed you too.
- 25:25Speaker 4: And I, uh, I was listening to, uh, uh, Frank, uh,
- 25:29Speaker 4: he was, uh, I have to, you know, I love,
- 25:31Speaker 4: I love, uh, Uh, Teddy, I really do. Um, but I, it,
- 25:36Speaker 4: it is partially Trump's fault. The reason why we're in
- 25:39Speaker 4: the position that we're.
- 25:40Speaker 1: In, he was making it better before he got into
- 25:44Speaker 1: this war situation. I mean, I, I don't agree.
- 25:47Speaker 4: With my things, but yeah, I have to, I have
- 25:49Speaker 4: to concur, you know, that, that, that he was, uh,
- 25:52Speaker 4: doing some things that even us Democrats wanted done, you know,
- 25:55Speaker 4: whether you guys think we did or not. But we
- 25:57Speaker 4: wanted to, you know, we didn't want people here that don't,
- 26:00Speaker 4: not just the word belong, that they're not going to
- 26:04Speaker 4: contribute or they're going to, you know, they're going to,
- 26:06Speaker 4: you know, take away from, you know, they're going to
- 26:08Speaker 4: just make things more difficult for all of us, including
- 26:11Speaker 4: the people that, you know, that are kind, so to speak,
- 26:14Speaker 4: you know, from their own country. But I believe you're right.
- 26:18Speaker 4: And you even stated that for a long time, that
- 26:20Speaker 4: once you got away from that, And we started spending
- 26:22Speaker 4: money on that, and we're still spending, you know, fistfuls
- 26:26Speaker 4: of money, and it's just not getting any better.
- 26:29Speaker 5: You know, it really isn't.
- 26:29Speaker 4: You know, today I had to eat one of our
- 26:32Speaker 4: cats today, for crying out loud. It was so tough.
- 26:34Speaker 1: You can't even joke about that today. You know that.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Don't go there.
- 26:39Speaker 4: Hey, I'm an animal lover.
- 26:40Speaker 5: You know that.
- 26:41Speaker 1: I know that. Who else stops in the middle of
- 26:44Speaker 1: traffic to go out to get a cat or dog
- 26:46Speaker 1: out of the road other than you?
- 26:47Speaker 4: Mm-hmm. No, that is true. Every now and then I
- 26:52Speaker 4: have a tendency to throw a bad joke out there.
- 26:54Speaker 1: And that was a bad one.
- 26:55Speaker 4: But it was not meant, you know.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Yes. Sometimes you land it and sometimes you don't.
- 27:02Speaker 4: Yeah, of course. Most of the time I don't.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I don't know. Lately you've been on a roll. This
- 27:07Speaker 1: is the first time that it did.
- 27:09Speaker 4: The vault was good, but the landing was bad. There
- 27:12Speaker 4: you go.
- 27:12Speaker 1: There you go.
- 27:15Speaker 4: I just think he's got to just watch things and,
- 27:17Speaker 4: you know, and again, you know, the other thing too is,
- 27:22Speaker 4: and I think you agree a little bit, it's the
- 27:25Speaker 4: A-double-S kissing that everybody's doing as far as, and they're not,
- 27:30Speaker 4: you know, they're not telling him the things that they
- 27:32Speaker 4: need to tell him, you know, that, you know, if
- 27:35Speaker 4: he's wrong about something or, They need to give a
- 27:38Speaker 4: different opinion, you know. And I just don't think they're
- 27:41Speaker 4: either not doing that to Trump or, you know, Trump
- 27:44Speaker 4: is not accepting any type of, you know, concerted criticism.
- 27:48Speaker 4: So that I worry about. And I think you and
- 27:51Speaker 4: I discussed that, too, also before. And that can be
- 27:54Speaker 4: kind of troublesome, you know.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Well, hey, listen. He's got us in a tough jam now.
- 28:01Speaker 1: I hope things work out. But... it hasn't worked out
- 28:06Speaker 1: at this point in time and when, and we shall see, listen,
- 28:09Speaker 1: I'll be the first guy. I, I would love to
- 28:12Speaker 1: see there be some type of, uh, agreement reached and
- 28:15Speaker 1: this thing put behind us and we could get back
- 28:17Speaker 1: to doing the business of the American people and, uh,
- 28:20Speaker 1: and the America first agenda. That's what I'd like to see.
- 28:23Speaker 5: Right.
- 28:24Speaker 4: And then, and then, you know, I have to disagree with, uh,
- 28:26Speaker 4: I don't know who said it a little bit earlier, but, uh, um,
- 28:30Speaker 4: you know, I think it might've been Ted. Um, but, uh, The,
- 28:33Speaker 4: you know, I can't even pronounce his name, Bibi, or
- 28:38Speaker 4: whatever it is. He had a lot, I think he
- 28:41Speaker 4: misled him horribly. And right now you just see that,
- 28:46Speaker 4: you know, you're too much about Israel being involved in this.
- 28:49Speaker 4: And it seems like it was, it landed in our lap.
- 28:54Speaker 4: And we're taking the brunt of it. And, you know,
- 28:58Speaker 4: I would just like I agree with you guys. We
- 29:00Speaker 4: shouldn't be spending money overseas. We shouldn't be giving it
- 29:03Speaker 4: to different countries and taking care of everybody else's everybody
- 29:07Speaker 4: else's dirty laundry. But we you know what he's doing.
- 29:11Speaker 4: We get we got to. You know, I just think
- 29:13Speaker 4: he's got to just say that, you know, we want it.
- 29:15Speaker 4: You know, he's been, you know, in a lot of ways,
- 29:17Speaker 4: he's been fooling us for a while to say we
- 29:19Speaker 4: want to get our troops out of there and, you know,
- 29:21Speaker 4: make an agreement with Iran and get that straight opened up.
- 29:26Speaker 4: And sometimes, remember, you and I talked a couple months ago,
- 29:29Speaker 4: I'll leave you with this, is that sometimes you've got to,
- 29:31Speaker 4: you know, you've got to humble yourself and say, you know,
- 29:33Speaker 4: that even if he wants to fool it and, you know,
- 29:37Speaker 4: fool everybody and say, well, we won the war and
- 29:38Speaker 4: it's over and done with him. we've got to get
- 29:40Speaker 4: out of there, Ronnie, because it's only going to get
- 29:42Speaker 4: progressively worse. And then somebody is going to get a
- 29:44Speaker 4: little agitated. You know, they're going to bomb Iran. He's
- 29:47Speaker 4: going to bomb somebody over there. They're not going to
- 29:48Speaker 4: like it. And it's just going to escalate. But, again,
- 29:52Speaker 4: I appreciate everything you do, my friend, and it's good
- 29:54Speaker 4: to have you back.
- 29:55Speaker 5: And, you know, you're fantastic.
- 29:58Speaker 4: He made it safely, so that's a good thing. Amen.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Thank you. J.J., the Trumpster.
- 30:02Speaker 4: You're cool, buddy.
- 30:02Speaker 1: All right, here on the air.
- 30:04Speaker 4: Hello.
- 30:05Speaker 5: Hey, Ron, I haven't talked to you in a couple weeks,
- 30:07Speaker 5: so give me a minute like J.J. First of all,
- 30:11Speaker 5: I want to mention something about Frank from Fort Lauderdale.
- 30:13Speaker 5: Three months ago, he said we were running out of ammunition. Okay? Well,
- 30:18Speaker 5: we're not. I want to make that comment. Secondly, the
- 30:23Speaker 5: thing he's doing with Iran, they're playing.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Him, but He says this is it.
- 30:29Speaker 5: So you're not going to see an agreement because Islam
- 30:32Speaker 5: will not honor an agreement with an infidel. So you're
- 30:35Speaker 5: not going to see an agreement. So, okay. Secondly, oil
- 30:40Speaker 5: just went down again, if you look on the oil thing.
- 30:44Speaker 5: I check that every day. But gas, Trump was yelling
- 30:49Speaker 5: at the producers of gas to come on down, you know,
- 30:52Speaker 5: to bring it down.
- 30:54Speaker 8: And..
- 30:55Speaker 5: That's, that's them trying to reach profits. And we live
- 30:59Speaker 5: in America. So I'm not working, you know, there's nothing
- 31:02Speaker 5: we can do about that unless they decide to do that. Um,
- 31:06Speaker 5: the other thing is, uh, on the aspect of, uh, uh,
- 31:10Speaker 5: what's going on in this country, people think the Democrats
- 31:13Speaker 5: are going to win the midterms. You know, they're all
- 31:15Speaker 5: scared about, blah, blah, blah, blah. Cause of the polls,
- 31:18Speaker 5: the hell with the polls. Listen, you can't, uh, elect, uh, Democrat, socialist, communist.
- 31:26Speaker 5: Like the guy in Michigan. You know what I mean?
- 31:30Speaker 5: And did you hear what the Democrat said? I mean,
- 31:32Speaker 5: how about the Cajun man? He said if he gets elected,
- 31:36Speaker 5: he's quitting. And then Joe Manchin, same thing. And then
- 31:40Speaker 5: another Democrat, same thing. They're getting out of the party.
- 31:43Speaker 5: So what I'm saying is I'm not worried about the
- 31:47Speaker 5: midterms because these guys are making it easy for us
- 31:50Speaker 5: by saying... you know, no Senate, you know, more, you know,
- 31:56Speaker 5: more judges on the Supreme Court, no president. I mean,
- 31:59Speaker 5: come on, man. I mean, you know, like the one
- 32:03Speaker 5: guy says, they're adding crazy sauce to everything. I mean,
- 32:07Speaker 5: who's going to vote that in? Now, we have to
- 32:10Speaker 5: go out and vote in the midterms. So everybody who's listening,
- 32:14Speaker 5: vote in the midterms, okay? And then last but not least,
- 32:20Speaker 5: John Fetterman is probably going to get out, too. He's
- 32:22Speaker 5: sick of him.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Well, I don't know that he's going to get out.
- 32:27Speaker 1: He just disagrees with him. Fetterman actually is a pleasant surprise.
- 32:32Speaker 1: I mean, Fetterman is his own man, it appears to me.
- 32:35Speaker 1: I find it interesting that the Democrat Party is trying
- 32:38Speaker 1: to find a male figure that's a male figure. And
- 32:43Speaker 1: they come up with some of these characters and they
- 32:46Speaker 1: try to make him more manly and it just falls
- 32:49Speaker 1: flat on their face. And I'm thinking, you guys don't
- 32:52Speaker 1: need to look any further than Fetterman. If you're looking
- 32:55Speaker 1: for a normal guy or a male figure for your party,
- 32:59Speaker 1: you should be looking at John Fetterman. You shouldn't be
- 33:01Speaker 1: trying to look at this guy running in Texas who
- 33:04Speaker 1: you go put in a truck to try and make
- 33:06Speaker 1: look more manly or you're trying to make some guy
- 33:10Speaker 1: masculine for the Democrats. I mean, look, I don't know
- 33:14Speaker 1: why they ignore Fetterman. He would be their best choice.
- 33:17Speaker 5: And you know what else, too? That girl, Sophie Cunningham,
- 33:21Speaker 5: what a dream girl. I mean, I wish I was younger.
- 33:24Speaker 5: I tell you what, I'd be pen-palling her. She's amazing.
- 33:29Speaker 5: She's got a great attitude. She backs up her teammates.
- 33:33Speaker 5: You know, when she gets beat up, she comes out
- 33:35Speaker 5: and beats the person that beats her up hard. Oh,
- 33:38Speaker 5: she's a black belt in jiu-jitsu.
- 33:41Speaker 1: I tell you, when you talk about sports, what's troubling
- 33:43Speaker 1: is how Kaitlyn Clark is treated. Oh, yeah, that's what
- 33:47Speaker 1: I mean. And Kaitlyn Clark, is she treated that way
- 33:51Speaker 1: because she's white and she's heterosexual? Is it because she's
- 33:57Speaker 1: white and heterosexual? She seems to be getting snubbed by
- 34:01Speaker 1: the WNBA. And she is the reason. She solely is
- 34:06Speaker 1: the reason, solely for the growth in attention in that sport.
- 34:10Speaker 1: She is the superstar of that sport, and it's like
- 34:14Speaker 1: they don't want to acknowledge it because she's white and heterosexual.
- 34:18Speaker 1: It's amazing to me, the stupidity.
- 34:21Speaker 5: And Sophie's standing behind her. You see her? And she's
- 34:25Speaker 5: doing great and, you know, going against the woke. And
- 34:28Speaker 5: she's still wearing all her sneakers and her T-shirts. So
- 34:32Speaker 5: the country loves her, too, you know? But like I say,
- 34:37Speaker 5: you know, we're going to overcome all this. We are.
- 34:40Speaker 5: We're going to win. And Trump, you know, nobody talks
- 34:45Speaker 5: about all the things he did last week and the
- 34:47Speaker 5: week before. Do you know what he did while you
- 34:49Speaker 5: were gone on vacation? He got truck drivers, veterans to
- 34:55Speaker 5: drive trucks so that we don't need illegals. I thought
- 34:58Speaker 5: that was a great idea.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Well, he's trying to get some of these states that
- 35:03Speaker 1: are giving these CDLs out with some degree of– I mean,
- 35:09Speaker 1: CDLs to people who can't even read the signs or
- 35:11Speaker 1: speak English. That scares the heck out of.
- 35:14Speaker 5: Me because I used to travel down to Florida all
- 35:16Speaker 5: the time.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, and he wants to change that. He
- 35:19Speaker 1: wants to change that tremendously. All right. Absolutely. Thank you,
- 35:22Speaker 1: Bubba Ganoush, NewsRadio 570. Goodbye. You're on the air.
- 35:27Speaker 5: Ronnie.
- 35:28Speaker 1: It's the unknown caller. Yes.
- 35:30Speaker 7: Hey, first of all, JJ, you know that cat joke?
- 35:34Speaker 4: Yes.
- 35:34Speaker 7: I could just see now that he's a Trumpster, they're
- 35:37Speaker 7: going to say, yeah, new pandemic starts in Mahoning County
- 35:43Speaker 7: from saved cat or whatever.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Yeah. You're right. He better watch it now.
- 35:52Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah. It's not easy being a Trumpster.
- 35:55Speaker 4: Just saying.
- 35:56Speaker 7: Hey, did you take the Allegiant flight down there, Ronnie?
- 36:00Speaker 1: No, I took Breeze.
- 36:02Speaker 5: Breeze.
- 36:03Speaker 10: Oh, okay.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Wow.
- 36:05Speaker 7: I didn't know you had that kind of money, Ronnie.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Actually, I went out of the Akron-Canton airports and took Breeze,
- 36:12Speaker 1: which was a pleasant experience, actually.
- 36:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:16Speaker 7: Yeah, it's a nice drive there. But, yeah, also, was
- 36:22Speaker 7: that Patty, the old battle axe, as Such a sweet
- 36:26Speaker 7: soul now?
- 36:28Speaker 1: No, it's not Patty, the old battle axe. I don't
- 36:31Speaker 1: know what her first name is.
- 36:33Speaker 7: I don't know. Maybe you don't know what you're talking about, Ronnie.
- 36:40Speaker 1: I don't recognize her as Patty. I forget what her
- 36:43Speaker 1: name is.
- 36:45Speaker 4: All right.
- 36:46Speaker 5: Hey, but, yeah, where do I start?
- 36:50Speaker 7: I guess I heard, I think it was on Clay
- 36:54Speaker 7: and Buck. that the crypto was down today?
- 36:58Speaker 4: Yes.
- 37:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:01Speaker 7: Um, yeah, I, I, I have like, I don't know, maybe,
- 37:05Speaker 7: you know, three grand in crypto that I bought 10
- 37:09Speaker 7: years ago and I'm, I'm still down on it. So I,
- 37:13Speaker 7: I don't know what's going on with that, but, um, Hey, the, uh,
- 37:20Speaker 7: the ticks, you know, like, like the whole, um, tick thing.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Yes.
- 37:24Speaker 7: Uh, What is it, the white-spotted tick?
- 37:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the one that if it bites you, you
- 37:31Speaker 1: can't eat meat anymore. You hate meat.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:35Speaker 5: What's going on with that, Ronnie?
- 37:37Speaker 7: Is that another one of.
- 37:38Speaker 4: You know..
- 37:40Speaker 1: I'm awful suspicious of it, like I told people, and
- 37:43Speaker 1: people don't pay attention. Lyme disease was created in a
- 37:45Speaker 1: military lab over in the New York area on an
- 37:51Speaker 1: island where we simply had a bio facility there where
- 37:54Speaker 1: they were experimenting with ticks, and they created Lyme disease.
- 37:58Speaker 1: I think they might have also done Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever,
- 38:01Speaker 1: but I know for certain Lyme disease, they didn't think
- 38:03Speaker 1: it would get off this island, but the birds flew
- 38:05Speaker 1: with these ticks on them, and the deers flew. swam
- 38:08Speaker 1: onto the main islands. And in turn, people started coming
- 38:12Speaker 1: down with something that we've never seen before called Lyme disease.
- 38:15Speaker 1: And in turn, that's why it's called Lyme disease, because
- 38:18Speaker 1: the community was like Lyme, New York, or the county was.
- 38:22Speaker 4: So..
- 38:24Speaker 1: Now I'm awful suspicious, I'll tell you. All of a
- 38:27Speaker 1: sudden you've got this tick that if it bites you,
- 38:29Speaker 1: you can't eat meat. At a time when Bill Gates
- 38:31Speaker 1: was talking about we've got to eat less meat and
- 38:34Speaker 1: eat this manufactured meat and stuff. Stand by, Unknown Caller.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Back with the Unknown Caller and more. 4.52 in the afternoon.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Ron Vert from the Kingdom of Mahoning. Nice to be back.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Nice to be with you. Your one stop for advertising?
- 38:49Speaker 1: Call 844-844-IHEART.
- 38:51Speaker 3: In this edition of the Marketers Report, Roe Kalinaros, Vice
- 38:55Speaker 3: President of Marketing for Omnicom, weighs in on today's splintered
- 38:58Speaker 3: media landscape.
- 39:00Speaker 10: The way consumers think and shop and interact with brands
- 39:04Speaker 10: is more complex than ever. Brands that can figure out
- 39:08Speaker 10: how to move people and how to connect will be
- 39:09Speaker 10: the brands that win.
- 39:10Speaker 3: As the number one audio company, iHeartMedia connects marketers to
- 39:14Speaker 3: the audience's live events and trusted influencers you need to grow.
- 39:17Speaker 3: If you're a marketer, go to iHeartAdvertising.com.
- 39:21Speaker 1: No required subscriptions. No trial period. And Talk Station 570 WKBN.
- 39:27Speaker 1: And Ron Verari, an unknown caller, what were you saying?
- 39:31Speaker 7: We were talking about the ticks. Is this like a
- 39:34Speaker 7: flesh-eating tick or.
- 39:35Speaker 5: Something like that?
- 39:36Speaker 1: No, I mean, the typical tick, they get in you
- 39:39Speaker 1: and they... put this stuff in you. If you're asking me,
- 39:42Speaker 1: do I think that that tick was man-made?
- 39:45Speaker 4: I do.
- 39:46Speaker 1: I mean, just as I said to you, Lyme disease
- 39:49Speaker 1: was that way. I had a cousin that died from
- 39:52Speaker 1: a tick bite with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. I have
- 39:54Speaker 1: a cousin who was in Tennessee, and he got bit
- 39:59Speaker 1: by a tick, and he died from Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.
- 40:03Speaker 1: But Lyme disease was created in a lab, and I
- 40:06Speaker 1: think that it's what a coincidence. Bill Gates talking about
- 40:08Speaker 1: we got to eat less meat. All of a sudden,
- 40:10Speaker 1: you have this tick that bites you, and then you
- 40:12Speaker 1: hate meat. Isn't that interesting?
- 40:14Speaker 7: It was only like a couple weeks or a couple months.
- 40:17Speaker 5: Later, right?
- 40:18Speaker 1: Yeah, it wasn't that long ago.
- 40:21Speaker 7: Hey, I know you don't like to go back in
- 40:24Speaker 7: the past, but in like 1978, gas was like $ 1. 79
- 40:27Speaker 7: a gallon, and the cars got like 10 miles a gallon.
- 40:33Speaker 7: So we all went through this before. It's like the
- 40:35Speaker 7: ebb and flow of everything. But today there are so
- 40:38Speaker 7: many more things that people are dependent on, like streaming services,
- 40:44Speaker 7: their phones. There's so much more expense going out and
- 40:48Speaker 7: basically caused by the computer age, I think. Back in
- 40:52Speaker 7: the day, it was like we got to get food
- 40:54Speaker 7: and gas for the car to get to work. And
- 40:57Speaker 7: now there's just so much other stuff that you got
- 41:00Speaker 7: to pay for. And people are just like, oh, I
- 41:03Speaker 7: need this, I need that, you know. So I think
- 41:06Speaker 7: that's a big part of the problem with the finances
- 41:10Speaker 7: of people today. Plus they got, you know, the charge
- 41:14Speaker 7: cards that they can't pay off.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Right. I mean, if you're saying to me we got
- 41:19Speaker 1: more bills than our forefathers had, I would agree with that.
- 41:22Speaker 1: You had forefathers? Well, yeah, I had four of them.
- 41:27Speaker 1: I mean, you're talking about Internet, you're talking about cell phone, cable,
- 41:31Speaker 1: whatever the case might be.
- 41:34Speaker 7: You got gaming systems, you know.
- 41:38Speaker 1: And I think a lot of times people want to
- 41:39Speaker 1: start where their parents started, and it doesn't work that way.
- 41:46Speaker 7: Hey, Ron, the good thing is that the Mahoning County commissioners,
- 41:50Speaker 7: you know, they're here for.
- 41:55Speaker 10: Us.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Yeah, they're here for you.
- 41:57Speaker 7: All right, Ronnie, I got to go.
- 42:00Speaker 1: All right, he's always got to go. He's the unknown caller.
- 42:03Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Welcome to Tuesday, August 4th. It's 87 degrees.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Ron Verb from the Kingdom of Mahoning. Good to be
- 42:10Speaker 1: with you. Back after a couple days off. NewsRadio 570 WKBN.

- 42:17Speaker 5: 330-729-9977.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Back in a bit. The Stadium GM Superstore is now open.
