A Utah family turns heartbreak into heroic action after their 16-year-old son, Garrett Sears—nicknamed “Sunshine”—died in a preventable electrocution on a Rocky Mountain Power tower. Shocked to learn another teen, Scott Nye, also died on the same tower years earlier, Jenipher Sears launched a campaign to stop more tragedies. Their advocacy led Rocky Mountain Power to retrofit towers and replace 41 more, honoring Garrett and others by turning grief into lifesaving change.
