- 0:00SPEAKER_01: I do want to start with one little piece of helpful information, and that is it's pretty foggy in certain areas.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: So be careful while you're driving this morning.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: That's I noticed that in a couple spots.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: Other than that, I felt like I passed two people.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: That was it today.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Where is everyone?
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: What's happening?
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm glad you said the thing about the fog because have you ever seen the thing on TikTok where it's like if you are somebody who works in like a hospital or you're an EMT, what's the biggest advice you would give someone?
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: And one of them that I've seen a lot recently is to not just blast through an intersection.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Because if the light turns green, they say, like I saw a bunch of people go, like, I'm an EMT or I'm a nurse, I'm a doctor, wait three seconds.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: So this morning I'm getting I get off at the Miracle Mile Exit 52B to be exact, and I'm sitting at the intersection.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Well, actually, I was come I was coming to the intersection.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Somebody was already sitting there.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: And it turned green.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Well, luckily, they didn't go.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: For some reason, they didn't, but uh semi passed through because they're about to get on the highway.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: You know, they're coming down from watching.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: They were so red.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: Like as red as my lips.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: So red.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: And they blasted through, and I thought, oh my gosh, if that person would have because I usually I'm like, go, let's get to work, right?
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Just can't wait to be with you guys.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Oh no, yeah, right.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: And and then and and they would have completely been decimated.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: So interesting because it drives me crazy when people sit at a green light, and it's ironic, the further south you go in the country, the longer the wait is at the green light.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: They probably have it right, but it's like, I'm so used to New York driving.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: It's like, green! Oh my god, let's go.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: And uh and but it it's interesting because I've lived in other parts of the country.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: And specifically when I lived more in the southern part of the country, I noticed that.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: I was like, uh, are we gonna do this, people?
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: I think they're just moseying down south.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: I think you might be right, Adam.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: I don't think that's a safety feature.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: I just I I never heard what you said.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: I was always that person that always was go, go, go, go, go.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: And now, after reading this so many times on TikTok, I now.
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: Well, really, did the pit deal with it?
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: That's what will make you change.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, probably.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: If the pit dealt with it and they literally used that as a plot line, like, well, they didn't wait three seconds afterwards.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: I feel that would change that would change your world.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Who is it?
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Uh, I was at dinner with some girlfriends in Cleveland last weekend, and one of my girlfriends is a nurse, and then the other one just isn't.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: She works with animals.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: Just isn't.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: It just isn't.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Just isn't.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: So me and the girlfriend who's a nurse, I don't know how it came up, but it always comes up.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: And I said something about the pit, and we both were like, oh my gosh, it's so good.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: From what I hear, it's incredibly accurate.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: Well, with the exception of the fact, how many times have you ever gone to an emergency department?
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: And I hate saying emergency department, the ED.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's erectile dysfunction.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: I I rarely go to the erectile dysfunction department.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Uh, but uh, so if you ever go to the ER, traditionally you wait for 28 hours in a in a waiting room, and then somebody 27 hours later comes by and goes, hey, uh, what's the problem?
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: And you'll be like, uh, cyclospore.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: And uh you know what I mean.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: But in the pit, what happens?
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Somebody wheels in, and and this is what kills me.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: It's just like home improvement shows.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: Within an hour, the property brothers have you a million-dollar house.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: If I'm doing the renovations, it's taking me 12 weeks.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: If it's the pit, you go in, there's 12 doctors working on you.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: It is like this.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: They swarm you.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: That is inaccurate on the show.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: See, you got to watch the show.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: That is grossly inaccurate.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: They they detail how long people are waiting.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: They've had people die in the waiting room.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Well, that's a long way.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: They've had people who uh you know uh, oh, this one guy got so mad.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: I don't want to tell you too much, but this one guy got so mad for waiting so long, he assaulted a nurse.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: So yes, yes.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: Well, not uncommon.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, it does happen.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: People get bitter.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: If you like the one kid that came out came through where his finger got blown off, well, yeah, you're getting little priority there?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Yes, exactly.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: But no, people are waiting.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Like they'll even say, Oh, they've been waiting since first shift, and now we're on third shift or whatever.
- 4:23unknown: Right.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Until they kill over and got a headache.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: Um, but you know what I mean though.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: Most hospital shows specifically, it's and once you're in the pit, it's like, you know, because every clip you see, you're like they're just like they're swarming, yeah.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: So the other thing about my one girlfriend who is the nurse, I was she works with another nurse, of course, and she said that the other nurse's significant other works in the pit.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: No kidding.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: I know, I thought that was just a real pit the one that's real.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, not the pit on TV.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Uh oh, well, yes, it is.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: It's wait, he works he's an actor or he's actually working in a real pit.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: So see, you gotta watch the show.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: I'm so confused in what you're saying.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: The pit is the emergency room in Pittsburgh.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: So, and they call it the pit because it's like kind of like the armpit of the hospital as well.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: Um, so that's where he works.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: He works Oh, in that pit.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: But not but not the pit that Noah Wiley's pitting.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: Well, it's the pit.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: He's not an actor.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: Got it.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: He's a real nurse in the realm.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: Not the T V pit.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: Even though the T V pit is modeled after the real pit.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: I think I got it now.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: I did have something else I was gonna say about the uh uh traffic light thing, but I feel we move past that.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: I'll come back to that in a minute.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Well, because it's foggy, just be careful the traffic lights.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: Definitely.
