- 0:09Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorites presented by DraftKings.
- 0:12Speaker 2: The crown is yours.
- 0:13Speaker 1: We are an Action Network podcast. I'm Brandon Kravitz, your host,
- 0:17Speaker 1: back at it with the first lady of the pod,
- 0:19Speaker 1: Miss Kendri Middleton. We will be joined momentarily by the
- 0:22Speaker 1: returning Stuckey, the Prime Minister of Degen Nation, along with
- 0:27Speaker 1: Matt Lamarca from Fantasy Life. We're talking Round one NFL
- 0:31Speaker 1: Draft bets. That day is here. The chimes are chiming, Kendra,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I cannot wait. This will be the first time in
- 0:41Speaker 1: fifteen years that the radio station that I work for
- 0:44Speaker 1: does not have a draft event going on, which means
- 0:48Speaker 1: first time in fifteen years that my ass will be
- 0:51Speaker 1: parked on the couch watching.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Are you getting hammered?
- 0:54Speaker 4: I am yeah, yeah.
- 0:58Speaker 3: What are you drinking?
- 1:01Speaker 1: I got some ice cold IPAs in the refrigerator coolon
- 1:04Speaker 1: right now, So we'll hit a couple of those throughout
- 1:07Speaker 1: the first round. I'm gonna put the phone away, though
- 1:09Speaker 1: not only for the social media aspect of it, but
- 1:12Speaker 1: we don't need any We don't need any live draft
- 1:15Speaker 1: bets going on. Got plenty of action that we'll discuss
- 1:19Speaker 1: with Matt Lamarca. So I don't want to make any
- 1:21Speaker 1: terribly stupid decisions, just minor stupid decisions. Kendrick, quick question
- 1:25Speaker 1: before we get to our our draft preview, because we've
- 1:29Speaker 1: got some big stuff to get through. What is happening
- 1:33Speaker 1: with your local team? Mike Rabel will not be with
- 1:37Speaker 1: the team as the draft continues on. So he's gonna
- 1:41Speaker 1: be with the team on day one and day two.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Come day three he is retreating with his family and
- 1:47Speaker 1: is entering some sort of therapy session. What's the latest
- 1:53Speaker 1: on this and how bizarre is it that this guy
- 1:58Speaker 1: that he's stepping away from the team and the third
- 2:01Speaker 1: the for day three of the draft.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I have a couple of theories.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Okay, did you hear about how the Patriots like dodged
- 2:07Speaker 4: having any media there for his statements and who they
- 2:11Speaker 4: didn't put out a statement that he was going to
- 2:13Speaker 4: speak whatever media was there for the player availability got Vrabel.
- 2:16Speaker 4: They said football questions only, and reporters continue to ask
- 2:19Speaker 4: their questions. He wouldn't answer any of them, and they
- 2:22Speaker 4: said no phones, no cameras, know nothing, and they tried
- 2:26Speaker 4: to just sweep it all under the rug. So I
- 2:28Speaker 4: have a theory that one I have to say. I
- 2:32Speaker 4: know that people think that this is just a way
- 2:35Speaker 4: to sweep all this under the rug and hide from
- 2:37Speaker 4: the negative press and everything like that.
- 2:39Speaker 3: To those people, I say that you are.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Probably correct, But at the same time, I would like
- 2:43Speaker 4: to congratulate Mike Vrabel for working on himself and his family.
- 2:46Speaker 4: And to you people, I say, you probably have never
- 2:47Speaker 4: been canceled online, and your mental health is super important.
- 2:51Speaker 3: And the timing is you know.
- 2:53Speaker 4: Sus it's smelly, it's ratty, it's whatever you want to
- 2:56Speaker 4: call it, but kudos to him for getting help and
- 2:59Speaker 4: doing it with his family. However, I have a theory
- 3:02Speaker 4: that this is a slow drip and the Patriots know
- 3:04Speaker 4: that during the draft some video or some text messages
- 3:08Speaker 4: or some photos of some sort are going to be leaked,
- 3:11Speaker 4: and so they're like, get out of here.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So you think that the person that is responsible, which
- 3:18Speaker 1: we all assume that it's Diana Rossini's husband that's dropping
- 3:21Speaker 1: all this stuff, is waiting until all eyes are on
- 3:25Speaker 1: the NFL. That is next level, sinister.
- 3:28Speaker 3: I'm thinking it could also be like a rival.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Team though, or someone Yeah, like I think that it
- 3:34Speaker 4: could be someone like a team that like want to
- 3:38Speaker 4: kind of screw the Patriots over and why not do
- 3:41Speaker 4: it during the draft? I mean, we saw what happened
- 3:43Speaker 4: to Laramie Tunsil, why not this situation too. I really
- 3:46Speaker 4: think that this is going to be a slow drip
- 3:48Speaker 4: of information because we saw more photos surface yesterday. And
- 3:52Speaker 4: if you've ever been on vacation with your friends.
- 3:56Speaker 3: You have pictures.
- 3:56Speaker 4: They have pictures if you they have text messages, they
- 3:59Speaker 4: have bookings of hotels, all that crap that you could
- 4:01Speaker 4: have shared to make.
- 4:02Speaker 3: This go away.
- 4:04Speaker 4: And the fact that none of that came out, and
- 4:05Speaker 4: Mike Rabel's initial reaction to this was to joke about
- 4:09Speaker 4: it and say, anybody that had any you know, validity
- 4:11Speaker 4: that they thought that this had is a joke. See you,
- 4:15Speaker 4: something's coming out.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:17Speaker 1: That's why I stopped short on giving this man too
- 4:19Speaker 1: much credit. Obviously he needs to take care of his business.
- 4:23Speaker 1: But he's getting way, he's way behind this. He has
- 4:27Speaker 1: not gotten in front of it in any way. And
- 4:30Speaker 1: it's easy to work on family and go through counseling
- 4:32Speaker 1: when you've been caught, not when you've stepped up and
- 4:36Speaker 1: admitted yourself.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Not sorry you did it, You're sorry you got caught boom.
- 4:42Speaker 1: That's exactly it period end of sentence, exclamation point still
- 4:47Speaker 1: to come. Matt Lamarca from Fantasy Life talking in NFL
- 4:50Speaker 1: Draft Stuck. You will hop in the chat as well.

- 5:40Speaker 1: NFL Draft Day here to break down what we should
- 5:42Speaker 1: expect to see in around one and some bets that
- 5:45Speaker 1: we can place on the action. Mattlmarca is joining us
- 5:49Speaker 1: NFL contributor for Matthew Berry's Fantasy Life and all things
- 5:53Speaker 1: found over on Fantasy Labs as well.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Locked in on some NBA dfs.
- 5:58Speaker 1: My kind of guy right now, But we're going to
- 6:00Speaker 1: focus on the NFL Draft.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Where do you land on this draft?
- 6:04Speaker 1: I heard someone say this, I'm going to totally steal it.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Is the draft overrated or overheted at.
- 6:10Speaker 1: This point, this specific draft or the drafted this specific draft.
- 6:17Speaker 5: I think there's some interesting opportunities out there. It's definitely
- 6:22Speaker 5: not a draft that has a ton of like high
- 6:25Speaker 5: end talent, right Like, if you're looking for game changers,
- 6:29Speaker 5: I'm not sure that this is the draft for you.
- 6:31Speaker 5: But as far as like betting goes, I think that
- 6:34Speaker 5: there are some opportunities where we can make some money,
- 6:36Speaker 5: and that's really what the draft is all about for
- 6:38Speaker 5: me anyway. I'll be honest, I'm not like a huge
- 6:42Speaker 5: college football follower, so I don't, you know, necessarily even
- 6:46Speaker 5: know a ton of these players, but I know how
- 6:50Speaker 5: to make money.
- 6:50Speaker 6: Off of them. And that's really what it's all about.
- 6:52Speaker 1: That is, and that's exactly what we're looking for, especially
- 6:56Speaker 1: day of the Hayes in the Barn as far as
- 6:59Speaker 1: the the prospect analysis goes. We need to know where
- 7:03Speaker 1: these guys are gonna move, how the lines are moving
- 7:05Speaker 1: as well.
- 7:05Speaker 2: So let's start with.
- 7:07Speaker 7: Well, Brandon before you get to your first question, just
- 7:09Speaker 7: to piggyback off of that and a higher arching question,
- 7:13Speaker 7: is it So I've never been a draft betting guy.
- 7:15Speaker 2: It is.
- 7:16Speaker 7: It's for generally four sharp betters. Books, hate off, hate
- 7:20Speaker 7: offering for it because it's just an info game and
- 7:24Speaker 7: I just have never had the desire to grind, and
- 7:27Speaker 7: this is my month off after my grind, so I've
- 7:29Speaker 7: never really got into it. I love the draft. My
- 7:32Speaker 7: my favorite part of the draft is watching clips. I
- 7:35Speaker 7: mean I'll watch every single pick every year, but watching
- 7:37Speaker 7: clips of like bets I loss, like oh I remem
- 7:39Speaker 7: rose the money on that game when they show like a.
- 7:42Speaker 8: Highlight of like a Troy player.
- 7:45Speaker 7: But I actually I'm looking forward to this draft because
- 7:48Speaker 7: I just think it's it's pretty wide open. You have
- 7:51Speaker 7: what a number of teams with two picks, who the Jets, Giants,
- 7:55Speaker 7: Browns cheaps Cowboys.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Dolphins about my Dolphins.
- 7:59Speaker 7: So and then this reduction to eight minutes in the
- 8:03Speaker 7: first round. Will see how it affects things. I like
- 8:07Speaker 7: it from a viewership perspective, but maybe more teams did
- 8:10Speaker 7: like legwork ahead of time, and there's I think there's
- 8:12Speaker 7: a chance to be a lot of trades in the
- 8:15Speaker 7: first round. So I think it actually could be a
- 8:18Speaker 7: very exciting first round. But my high arch question is
- 8:22Speaker 7: do you find it? How much harder or more difficult
- 8:24Speaker 7: do you find it to bet the draft now? Then say,
- 8:29Speaker 7: you know, five to ten years ago, it seems like
- 8:32Speaker 7: there's less there's fewer leagues.
- 8:34Speaker 8: Books want to offer less, and just from.
- 8:39Speaker 7: My outside of perpectives in the non draft better, it
- 8:43Speaker 7: seems like it's definitely much more difficult. And as with
- 8:47Speaker 7: all markets, they become more efficient over time.
- 8:49Speaker 8: But can you speak to that in general?
- 8:51Speaker 6: Yeah, it's harder, for sure.
- 8:53Speaker 5: The books have been getting their teeth kicked in by
- 8:57Speaker 5: you know, big sharp draft betters for years, so they
- 9:00Speaker 5: continue to offer sort of less stuff. But the prediction
- 9:03Speaker 5: markets have have opened up and have given us another outlet.
- 9:07Speaker 5: You know, as a New Yorker, I can't even really
- 9:11Speaker 5: access the the draftking side of things.
- 9:14Speaker 7: So I'm in Kentucky, no draft beving allowed to here.
- 9:18Speaker 5: Yeah, So I've relied a lot on the prediction markets
- 9:21Speaker 5: this year, and because it's you know, sort of peer
- 9:24Speaker 5: to peer type betting, you can get down on many
- 9:27Speaker 5: different things on those. So it's been a good thing
- 9:30Speaker 5: I think for draft better specifically.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, what have you What have you seen recently
- 9:37Speaker 1: as far as line movement that has fascinated you? What
- 9:40Speaker 1: props in the draft are are kind of going haywire.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I was looking at the running backs under one and
- 9:48Speaker 1: a half and I've lost all value on that just
- 9:51Speaker 1: in a day. I'm going apo on Kendra who's over
- 9:55Speaker 1: one and a half quarterback selected in the first round.
- 9:58Speaker 1: She's on the right side of that line movement. The
- 10:01Speaker 1: under right now is like plus two twenty. So what
- 10:04Speaker 1: else are you seeing out there that you find interesting
- 10:06Speaker 1: movement wise?
- 10:07Speaker 5: It's it's funny because those two markets I think kind
- 10:10Speaker 5: of have some overlap, right, Like, the big thing is
- 10:14Speaker 5: is what the Seahawks are gonna do. Right, If the
- 10:16Speaker 5: Seahawks keep their first round pick and they have to
- 10:19Speaker 5: stay at thirty two, there's a chance that they take
- 10:23Speaker 5: a running back.
- 10:25Speaker 2: You know.
- 10:25Speaker 5: The other Notre Dame running back in particular is somebody
- 10:28Speaker 5: that has gotten linked to Seattle quite a bit. But
- 10:31Speaker 5: Seattle also doesn't have a lot of draft capital. They
- 10:35Speaker 5: are very widely believed to be shopping that pick, and
- 10:40Speaker 5: a team like the Cardinals could want to trade up
- 10:42Speaker 5: to thirty two get that fifth year option, and that
- 10:47Speaker 5: would allow them to then take ty Simpson. So it's
- 10:51Speaker 5: interesting you mentioned those two markets in particular because I
- 10:54Speaker 5: think exactly what happens at pick thirty two will go
- 10:57Speaker 5: a long way on both of those bets. The thing
- 11:00Speaker 5: that's interesting to me right now, the most interesting, and
- 11:02Speaker 5: I think it's at a lot of people's minds. At
- 11:04Speaker 5: top of a lot of people's minds, is the number
- 11:07Speaker 5: three pick. Right, we have a pretty good idea of
- 11:11Speaker 5: what's going to happen one and two, Right, Fernando Mendoz
- 11:14Speaker 5: is going to go one, and then either Rvel Reeves
- 11:16Speaker 5: or David Bailey will go number two. Overall, what happens
- 11:20Speaker 5: at three seems like it is way open in the
- 11:23Speaker 5: air right now. The Cardinals want to trade the pick,
- 11:26Speaker 5: but the growing belief has been that if they can't
- 11:29Speaker 5: trade the pick, they're going to just take Jeremiah Love
- 11:32Speaker 5: at three, and that seems interesting to me. Running back
- 11:36Speaker 5: would not be nearly at the top of my list
- 11:40Speaker 5: of team needs for the Cardinals, but it seems like
- 11:44Speaker 5: Love is pretty widely viewed as the just the best
- 11:48Speaker 5: player in this class. He's a dynamic, game changing type
- 11:52Speaker 5: of talent on offense. So if the Cardinals can't trade back,
- 11:56Speaker 5: and I do expect them to try very hard to
- 11:58Speaker 5: move down, it could very well just end up being
- 12:01Speaker 5: Love at three, and then that has ripple effects at too,
- 12:05Speaker 5: as to what the Titans do at four, what the
- 12:06Speaker 5: Giants do at five, et cetera, et cetera.
- 12:09Speaker 2: So I was looking at that market.
- 12:11Speaker 1: If the Cardinals draft Jeremiah Love, they have so many
- 12:15Speaker 1: needs that it does seem silly. But they also don't
- 12:19Speaker 1: really have a foundational piece. And I don't know how
- 12:23Speaker 1: much this comes into play for teams. I've never been
- 12:25Speaker 1: in a war room. I'm sure that the scouts could
- 12:27Speaker 1: care less about marketing, but if they're trying to push
- 12:29Speaker 1: some jerseys, Jeremiah Loves your best bet to do that
- 12:32Speaker 1: when you don't really have anybody that you feel like
- 12:34Speaker 1: is your focal point. So I would think that, like
- 12:36Speaker 1: an owner would be like, get that guy on the roster.
- 12:39Speaker 1: And it makes sense talent wise too. A lot of
- 12:41Speaker 1: people think he's the best in the draft exact order,
- 12:43Speaker 1: I think if we're gonna go with Jeremiah Loves the
- 12:46Speaker 1: third overall pick, I was looking at exact order one, two, three,
- 12:49Speaker 1: Mendoza Bailey.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Love is he just stole what I was gonna say.
- 12:55Speaker 1: He's three to one, whereas Jeremiah Love to go third
- 12:58Speaker 1: individually is plus one eighties.
- 13:01Speaker 2: So what do you think about playing it that way? Matt?
- 13:04Speaker 2: And I'm sorry Kendrick for stealing your time.
- 13:07Speaker 5: It's tempting, but I'm kind of a believer that the
- 13:10Speaker 5: Jets are gonna take Rvel Reese at nil.
- 13:13Speaker 2: That would blow everything up.
- 13:14Speaker 5: Yeah, So yeah, I think I would be more inclined
- 13:18Speaker 5: to just take Love third overall than put a Bailey,
- 13:22Speaker 5: you know, sort of caveat on there, right, Like, I
- 13:25Speaker 5: think when you look at this Jets team in particular,
- 13:28Speaker 5: they have zero interest. I shouldn't say that, but they
- 13:30Speaker 5: are not expected to be very good next year, right,
- 13:32Speaker 5: and they have three first round draft picks in the
- 13:36Speaker 5: upcoming draft. They know that they need a quarterback next year.
- 13:40Speaker 5: I kind of think they're just gonna punt this season.
- 13:42Speaker 5: And if you're punting a season, why not take the
- 13:46Speaker 5: kid who is two years younger at pass rusher, who
- 13:49Speaker 5: is believed to have the higher ceiling. I think Rvel
- 13:53Speaker 5: Reachs just makes more sense for what the Jets are
- 13:56Speaker 5: building than going with a more polished player like David Bailey.
- 14:00Speaker 4: I heard something extremely interesting yesterday that I hadn't heard yet,
- 14:04Speaker 4: and that it is the Tennessee Titans might be higher
- 14:08Speaker 4: on Carnel Tait than anybody originally thought, and they've been
- 14:11Speaker 4: trying to keep it quiet. The odds for him to
- 14:15Speaker 4: go with that slot right now are fifteen to one.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Do you think that that's worth a sprinkle considering cam
- 14:20Speaker 4: Ward really does kind of need a weapon, and even
- 14:23Speaker 4: though Robert sala is a defensive minded coach, maybe they
- 14:26Speaker 4: really are having so much pressure to just go out
- 14:28Speaker 4: there and help elevate a young quarterback that that could
- 14:30Speaker 4: be a decent look at that price.
- 14:33Speaker 5: I think at fifteen to one, it's worth considering. I've
- 14:35Speaker 5: kind of been a Carnel Tit fader throughout most of
- 14:39Speaker 5: this process. I just he doesn't scream, you know, like
- 14:44Speaker 5: top five type of pick to me when you look
- 14:47Speaker 5: at the production that he's put, you know, on paper,
- 14:50Speaker 5: and then just what he's done on film, and the
- 14:52Speaker 5: buzz has kind of been going in the opposite direction
- 14:55Speaker 5: that it's. Jordan Tyson is the guy who's kind of
- 14:58Speaker 5: rising up draftboard, and I have some positions on Tyson
- 15:02Speaker 5: being the first receiver taken in this draft. But if
- 15:06Speaker 5: Love goes three, and Love is a guy that has
- 15:08Speaker 5: been you know, mocked to the Titans basically at will
- 15:12Speaker 5: for the past two months, they should do something to
- 15:15Speaker 5: help their quarterback. And if they believe that Tate is
- 15:19Speaker 5: the number one receiver in this class, and you know
- 15:21Speaker 5: there are some rumors that they do think that way,
- 15:24Speaker 5: then yeah, fifteen to one seems like a it's worth
- 15:27Speaker 5: taking a sprinkle on that.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Do you think that the Sunny Styles stee It's kind
- 15:32Speaker 4: of died over the last couple of days, but it's
- 15:34Speaker 4: kind of been those two guys, Sunny Styles and Jeremiah
- 15:37Speaker 4: Love to Tennessee. So do you think if you had
- 15:40Speaker 4: to choose one of those three guys kind of you
- 15:42Speaker 4: know what, six seven hours before the draft starts, what
- 15:46Speaker 4: do you think the best position is for Tennessee there
- 15:48Speaker 4: because that's kind of where I think things are going
- 15:50Speaker 4: to start to get a little crazy, especially if it
- 15:53Speaker 4: doesn't fall the way that we've all expected it to
- 15:55Speaker 4: over the last you know, couple of weeks.
- 15:57Speaker 5: Now, Yeah, at the moment, I have Sonny Styles going there,
- 16:03Speaker 5: but that's only because I have Love going three to
- 16:07Speaker 5: the Cardinals. If the Cardinals are able to trade down,
- 16:10Speaker 5: I think the Titans would be more than happy to
- 16:13Speaker 5: select Jeremiah Love it four. I think that's the guy
- 16:15Speaker 5: that they want. But if they can't get him, I
- 16:19Speaker 5: think that they will look to a linebacker, which it's
- 16:24Speaker 5: weird to see sort of an off ball linebacker go
- 16:26Speaker 5: this early in the draft. But Robert Sala, defensive minded coach,
- 16:31Speaker 5: like this is a guy that he could theoretically build
- 16:33Speaker 5: his defense around. I think that would be sort of
- 16:36Speaker 5: the pick that they would make. They could also look
- 16:38Speaker 5: at David Bailey or Rvel Reese, which every one of
- 16:41Speaker 5: those two guys doesn't go to the Jets at two,
- 16:44Speaker 5: but I think Sonny Styles at four. That's kind of
- 16:47Speaker 5: what I would anticipate at this moment. If Jeremiah Love
- 16:51Speaker 5: goes three.
- 16:51Speaker 8: Yeah, if Love goes they're also you got to keep
- 16:54Speaker 8: in behind.
- 16:54Speaker 7: The Titans could still get their receiver, but if that's
- 16:58Speaker 7: the position, the one, but they could also do it
- 16:59Speaker 7: by trading back, so that that would definitely be a possibility.
- 17:04Speaker 8: But getting back to I don't want to.
- 17:06Speaker 7: Just brush over this number two pick because it's one
- 17:09Speaker 7: of the most interesting things that I've seen in the
- 17:12Speaker 7: betting market this year. I can't you know, this is
- 17:16Speaker 7: getting back to no leaks. I can't believe'm about the
- 17:18Speaker 7: compliment the Jets, but this this will like no one
- 17:23Speaker 7: really knows who they're taking, and that's.
- 17:26Speaker 8: You know, you don't want to come out just announce
- 17:28Speaker 8: who you're taking. Right.
- 17:29Speaker 7: If they say they didn't really care between both players, right,
- 17:35Speaker 7: then if and and some other team really really wants
- 17:40Speaker 7: one of those two, and you're you haven't tipped your hand, right,
- 17:44Speaker 7: that gives you some leverage if they're if someone wanted
- 17:46Speaker 7: to trade up with you. So I think it's smart
- 17:48Speaker 7: the way they're playing it. But it's interesting that all
- 17:52Speaker 7: of like the national quote unquote draft guys have now
- 17:57Speaker 7: said they're all going I don't know. Timic Shade changes
- 17:59Speaker 7: every hour on this pick. I don't know what he's
- 18:01Speaker 7: he's at this hour, but they're all now saying they
- 18:04Speaker 7: think it's gonna be Bailey, and the vetting market has
- 18:07Speaker 7: moved that way, but it's not hasn't moved to you know,
- 18:10Speaker 7: minus three hundred, minus four hundred. So the only other
- 18:16Speaker 7: the two examples that I could think of where this
- 18:17Speaker 7: has happened. And there's a lot of group thinking here.
- 18:20Speaker 7: And there's been times where all of the national draft
- 18:24Speaker 7: guys and in other sports too, have been just completely wrong.
- 18:27Speaker 7: Remember Pallo Brandon, You remember that, I think Woja on
- 18:33Speaker 7: the day of said it's Jabari Smith.
- 18:35Speaker 1: And yeah, everybody locally thought it was Chet. The national
- 18:39Speaker 1: guys said it was Jabbari. They reported it was Jabbari
- 18:42Speaker 1: and then they walked to the podium and draft Pallo
- 18:44Speaker 1: bank Caro.
- 18:45Speaker 2: It was a wild day.
- 18:46Speaker 7: Trey Lance mac Jones. That kind of happened with So
- 18:51Speaker 7: I'm just curious to get your thoughts that, I mean,
- 18:54Speaker 7: as at a as an underdog, I'm tempted by Reese.
- 18:59Speaker 7: I mean, it's so weird you Bailey didn't even visit right,
- 19:03Speaker 7: and like the interviews canceled, So what are you what
- 19:06Speaker 7: are your thoughts on just how that is playing out?
- 19:12Speaker 7: And and and would you take Reese now as at
- 19:15Speaker 7: plus money?
- 19:17Speaker 6: I would, Yeah, it's fascinating.
- 19:19Speaker 5: Like like you said, all the national guys have kind
- 19:22Speaker 5: of been on Bailey as the Jets pick, but all
- 19:26Speaker 5: the local guys who are you know, you would think
- 19:30Speaker 5: more plugged in with with the Jets front office, they've
- 19:33Speaker 5: kind of been on the restrain. So I really think
- 19:36Speaker 5: this is sort of a fifty to fifty proposition. I mean,
- 19:39Speaker 5: hopefully the Jets know. It wouldn't shock me if the
- 19:42Speaker 5: Jets didn't know who they were.
- 19:43Speaker 7: That's the other thing. It could just be Jets incompetence
- 19:45Speaker 7: and they just really like it's when they're going, when they're.
- 19:49Speaker 5: Up right, Maybe we should, uh, instead of praising them,
- 19:53Speaker 5: just operate under the assumption.
- 19:55Speaker 6: That they don't know what they're doing yet.
- 19:57Speaker 1: But they might actually call to decide that, let's they're
- 20:02Speaker 1: gonna time.
- 20:02Speaker 5: Out like the Vikings did that one year, just trying
- 20:05Speaker 5: to make a decision. I think that the better value
- 20:09Speaker 5: right now is reset plus money as opposed to Bailey
- 20:12Speaker 5: as a favorite, because again, it just it jizz with
- 20:14Speaker 5: what I think about this team that they are sort
- 20:16Speaker 5: of playing for the future anyway. You know who cares
- 20:20Speaker 5: if you have a rookie that can give you, you know,
- 20:22Speaker 5: ten sacks right out of the gates, when you're gonna
- 20:24Speaker 5: win three games next year.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Yeah, Tyson to the g men, seems to be gaining
- 20:29Speaker 1: some steam. I know you're you've got a position on
- 20:31Speaker 1: him being the first wide receiver taken. There's some real
- 20:35Speaker 1: debate about who the top receiver is. I've seen Tate
- 20:38Speaker 1: because he's solid and dependable, and it's just like that
- 20:43Speaker 1: rock solid number two Makaya Lemon fits that aman Ras
- 20:47Speaker 1: Saint Brown role, really tough kind of physical run after
- 20:51Speaker 1: the catch guy. And then Tyson. I've seen people comp
- 20:54Speaker 1: him to Odell Beckham junior. I tend to fall in
- 20:57Speaker 1: love with college production. Tyson was injured often, was one
- 21:01Speaker 1: hundred and third in receiving yards last year in college.
- 21:06Speaker 1: How has this guy zoomed up the board as fast
- 21:09Speaker 1: as he has with the lack of production, which, by
- 21:11Speaker 1: the way, he can be said about a number of
- 21:13Speaker 1: these guys that might go in the first round. This
- 21:15Speaker 1: was not a very productive wide receiver group in terms
- 21:19Speaker 1: of their last year in college.
- 21:21Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean Carnal Tate right, has never even been
- 21:24Speaker 5: the wide receiver one on his own team, and part
- 21:26Speaker 5: of that is because he's played next to some really,
- 21:28Speaker 5: really talented guys at Ohio State. But from what we've
- 21:33Speaker 5: seen of Tyson when he is on the field, I
- 21:35Speaker 5: think he is the best player of this group. And
- 21:39Speaker 5: you know, he had that workout last week where apparently
- 21:43Speaker 5: everybody who was in attendance came away super impressed. I
- 21:48Speaker 5: think that it's a lot easier to sell yourself on, well,
- 21:51Speaker 5: if this guy stays healthy, at least he has this
- 21:53Speaker 5: ceiling of being a number one receiver, whereas with Carnal Tate,
- 21:58Speaker 5: like we kind of don't know if he had as
- 22:00Speaker 5: that in his range of outcomes. So I think it
- 22:02Speaker 5: makes sense that he's moving up the board. I don't
- 22:05Speaker 5: know if the Giants are necessarily thinking about him at five,
- 22:09Speaker 5: that's I think maybe a smidge early, But you know,
- 22:13Speaker 5: the Saints at eight I think make a lot of sense.
- 22:17Speaker 5: I think that the Browns could certainly use a receiver.
- 22:21Speaker 5: We'll see what happens, right, I think that more over
- 22:24Speaker 5: than even being high on Tyson, I'm just kind of
- 22:29Speaker 5: out on Tate and I have some positions on his
- 22:32Speaker 5: over I think that that's still kind of the way
- 22:36Speaker 5: that I would be looking to bet this as I
- 22:37Speaker 5: would just be going over on Carnealty.
- 22:40Speaker 1: There's six wide receivers that people seem to be pretty
- 22:43Speaker 1: excited about. The over unders at five and a half,
- 22:45Speaker 1: so nice sharp line, shocker minus one eighty five if
- 22:49Speaker 1: you want to bet the over, would you look in
- 22:51Speaker 1: that direction?
- 22:52Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:52Speaker 5: I like the over there. I think there are six
- 22:55Speaker 5: first round wide receivers. You have the three that you
- 22:57Speaker 5: mentioned with Lemon, Tate and Tyson. You've got Omar Cooper
- 23:03Speaker 5: Junior I think is certainly a first rounder. I've seen
- 23:07Speaker 5: him go mocked as early as sixteen to the Jets
- 23:11Speaker 5: with their second first round pick. Casey Concepcion is going
- 23:14Speaker 5: to get drafted in the first round, I think, and
- 23:16Speaker 5: then Denzel Boston. I think all six guys hear their
- 23:19Speaker 5: names tonight. So yeah, I think I would play that
- 23:22Speaker 5: up to like minus two fifty even.
- 23:25Speaker 4: I'm in an interesting position right now because I am
- 23:27Speaker 4: a Kenyan Sadik fifteen and a half ticket holder, but
- 23:31Speaker 4: I've heard some weird things. I did this because I
- 23:34Speaker 4: thought there are multiple opportunities for someone like him to
- 23:36Speaker 4: get drafted.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Casey Miami Baltimore.
- 23:39Speaker 4: I thought that those were all decent spots for him
- 23:41Speaker 4: to be able to go.
- 23:43Speaker 3: But I also.
- 23:45Speaker 4: Had a very interesting conversation at work last night about
- 23:48Speaker 4: how the Patriots might try to move up in the
- 23:51Speaker 4: first round to get a splash of a pick to
- 23:54Speaker 4: kind of sweep this whole Diana Rassini situation under the rug,
- 23:58Speaker 4: especially now that it's come out that he is going
- 24:00Speaker 4: to counseling. I think that the only opportunity for the
- 24:03Speaker 4: Patriots to kind of make that big splash move would
- 24:05Speaker 4: be to move up for someone like Kenyan Sadik or
- 24:08Speaker 4: one of these receivers. What do you think about the
- 24:10Speaker 4: ticket that I'm holding? Do you think it's likely that
- 24:13Speaker 4: Kenyon winds up going to one of those three teams
- 24:15Speaker 4: or do you think that maybe the Patriots might move
- 24:17Speaker 4: up for him. I am anxious about my ticket now
- 24:21Speaker 4: that all of this movement is happening and it might
- 24:23Speaker 4: cause him to fall.
- 24:24Speaker 3: But I've been holding onto this or quite some time.
- 24:28Speaker 5: Yeah, I think he probably goes in the back half
- 24:30Speaker 5: of round one as opposed to the front half. But
- 24:33Speaker 5: all it takes is one team, right. The Ravens, I think,
- 24:37Speaker 5: are definitely in play for Sadik. They lost Isaiah likely
- 24:41Speaker 5: they run a lot of two tight end stuff.
- 24:43Speaker 6: And Cork Andrews.
- 24:45Speaker 5: Yeah, Mark Andrews has really kind of been a shell
- 24:47Speaker 5: of himself the last couple of years, so it makes
- 24:50Speaker 5: a lot of sense. But I think that with the
- 24:54Speaker 5: receivers kind of rising up the board, it makes it more.
- 24:59Speaker 6: Likely that city falls a little bit.
- 25:01Speaker 5: So I think he's probably more in the in the
- 25:03Speaker 5: twenty ish type range for me personally.
- 25:05Speaker 4: Do you think the Patriots they're going to try and
- 25:07Speaker 4: make a splash and move up to kind of sweep
- 25:09Speaker 4: all this stuff under the rug?
- 25:10Speaker 6: I think that'd be yeah.
- 25:11Speaker 5: I mean, the Patriots are still they're gonna get aj Brown, right,
- 25:18Speaker 5: Isn't that still kind of the rumor is that they're
- 25:20Speaker 5: gonna get.
- 25:20Speaker 6: Him once the uh, the GFS window hits.
- 25:24Speaker 4: But I heard that there are also people calling to
- 25:27Speaker 4: see what the Patriots off or was.
- 25:31Speaker 3: So you would assume that that's a done.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Deal because it came from you know, I would don't.
- 25:35Speaker 4: I can't even think I could say the horses his
- 25:37Speaker 4: mouth because that doesn't feel like the right joke to
- 25:40Speaker 4: make right now.
- 25:41Speaker 3: But here we are, Yeah, so many things.
- 25:45Speaker 2: I want to say on that, but we're just gonna
- 25:47Speaker 2: keep it, Paig.
- 25:49Speaker 5: If you assume that AJ Brown is going to be
- 25:52Speaker 5: a Patriot, and I'm kind of operating under that assumption.
- 25:55Speaker 5: They did sign Romeo Dobbs, Like, I don't think they
- 25:59Speaker 5: are in desperate need of a playmaker where they should
- 26:03Speaker 5: trade up in the first round to get somebody, right, Like,
- 26:06Speaker 5: they could stand pat and draft the receiver with their
- 26:09Speaker 5: current pick, and I think that would make a lot
- 26:11Speaker 5: of sense, and they can get a good player. They
- 26:13Speaker 5: don't necessarily have to give up future equity to go
- 26:17Speaker 5: up and get somebody and then give up more equity
- 26:19Speaker 5: to go get AJ Brown in the trademarket.
- 26:22Speaker 7: Yeah, the Patriots are super interesting to me. I don't
- 26:25Speaker 7: think they would get a receivers. I do think they're
- 26:26Speaker 7: going to get AJ Brown, but at that at that position,
- 26:32Speaker 7: I mean, like, do would they really you have Drake
- 26:35Speaker 7: May on a rookie deal? Would they really draft a
- 26:40Speaker 7: like a tackle and not start right aly? Like I
- 26:44Speaker 7: think that you would want to get someone right now
- 26:46Speaker 7: that comes in and starts. But maybe, I mean, maybe
- 26:48Speaker 7: they just really really at the don't believe in how Campbell.
- 26:52Speaker 7: But Morgan Moses probably has what one more year left,
- 26:55Speaker 7: so but like, do they go tackle? I don't know,
- 26:59Speaker 7: They're probably you probab, I go just that's I would
- 27:01Speaker 7: go best player available that you can utilize this year
- 27:06Speaker 7: in in win now mode.
- 27:08Speaker 8: But I think that they're gonna get a J Brown and.
- 27:12Speaker 2: I did so.
- 27:13Speaker 8: I don't think they're going to get a receiver.
- 27:14Speaker 7: But yeah, the Sadik question is is very fascinating because
- 27:18Speaker 7: the Ravens are definitely in play there. As you said,
- 27:20Speaker 7: are the Ravens going to go like Yoana or Sadiq?
- 27:25Speaker 7: I could see the Ravens trading back as well, but
- 27:28Speaker 7: in tiro line tight end probably something they want to
- 27:31Speaker 7: dress in the first round. Then there's some holes on
- 27:33Speaker 7: defense that they want to get to. So yeah, that
- 27:37Speaker 7: that's gonna be a fun sweat for sure. Kendrew would
- 27:39Speaker 7: would you?
- 27:39Speaker 3: I was gonna say, I think it all depends on if.
- 27:41Speaker 4: You believe Mike Rabel saying that they are married to
- 27:45Speaker 4: keeping Will Campbell there and not moving him to guard.
- 27:48Speaker 3: I'm serious.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I wouldn't trust that marriage and married together, and that's
- 27:58Speaker 1: a different direction.
- 27:59Speaker 4: After the Super when he came out and defended Will Campbell,
- 28:02Speaker 4: do you think that he was just motivating his guy
- 28:05Speaker 4: or do you believe that they're not going to move
- 28:07Speaker 4: him to guard. I think that that is the whole
- 28:09Speaker 4: thing that you have to handicap here is was he
- 28:11Speaker 4: motivating his.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Guy or do you follow? Do you follow the tea leaves?
- 28:17Speaker 7: Yeah, that's that's definitely a possibility as well. The other
- 28:22Speaker 7: question not that I have for you. That's a lot
- 28:25Speaker 7: of people always have a take on this market, and
- 28:27Speaker 7: this just kind of sums up draft markets these days.
- 28:31Speaker 7: I think the quarterbacks over one and a half is
- 28:36Speaker 7: at DraftKings right now minus four hundred under plus two seventy.
- 28:41Speaker 7: So I would think just on the surface at plus
- 28:43Speaker 7: two seventy, there's probably some value on the under, but
- 28:48Speaker 7: if you go over right, there's so basically you're just
- 28:52Speaker 7: betting this high. Simpson, I guess there could be some
- 28:55Speaker 7: wild someone like loves Backer.
- 28:58Speaker 4: Whoever, just say Garrett now Smyer, My Garrett No Smyer
- 29:02Speaker 4: ticket is like plus fifty six hundred in the first round.
- 29:06Speaker 3: I'm gonna be sweating that shit all night.
- 29:09Speaker 7: So the outs there, the natural outs would be, I mean,
- 29:12Speaker 7: because the Cardinals are probably in need of a quarterback,
- 29:15Speaker 7: and there's a couple other teams that you could see like,
- 29:17Speaker 7: what do the Steelers do? The Steelers are very interesting
- 29:21Speaker 7: probably you know, they need looks like they need offensive
- 29:23Speaker 7: line help now, but what are they going to do
- 29:25Speaker 7: a quarterback? But there's a lot would scare me about
- 29:31Speaker 7: the under is if any one of these teams, the Cardinals,
- 29:35Speaker 7: they want to trade up, and there's I think there's
- 29:36Speaker 7: gonna be a lot of trades and all these teams
- 29:38Speaker 7: with multiple picks, and but you have at the back
- 29:40Speaker 7: end of the draft you mentioned Seattle, but you also
- 29:43Speaker 7: have the Dolphins at thirty. Right, the Dolphins are a
- 29:47Speaker 7: team that has so many needs and they're not trying
- 29:52Speaker 7: to win this year, so getting more picks if you're.
- 29:56Speaker 5: If someone offers the Dolphins a trade, they should just
- 29:58Speaker 5: say yes.
- 29:59Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 30:00Speaker 7: Also, the Texans they've done they did this last year.
- 30:03Speaker 7: They could trade back what they're at number twenty eight.
- 30:06Speaker 8: I think.
- 30:06Speaker 7: So there's some definitely some teams at the end that
- 30:08Speaker 7: could be viable trade candidates. But what do you think
- 30:11Speaker 7: of that the QB market over under one and a
- 30:15Speaker 7: half quarterbacks? Would you potentially look at under it, you
- 30:18Speaker 7: know plus two seventy?
- 30:20Speaker 5: Yeah, it's an interesting market because, like you said, it's
- 30:23Speaker 5: really one player and I almost view it only as
- 30:27Speaker 5: one team, right. I know you mentioned the Steelers, and
- 30:30Speaker 5: they have certainly a need for a future quarterback. But
- 30:34Speaker 5: I do think Rogers will come back for one more year,
- 30:37Speaker 5: even though he's still probably in a retreat somewhere in
- 30:40Speaker 5: South America, you know, sort of.
- 30:44Speaker 6: Meditating on his future. It's not official yet, but.
- 30:47Speaker 5: With his AI want, I think they get another year
- 30:52Speaker 5: out of him.
- 30:53Speaker 6: Again.
- 30:53Speaker 5: As I'm kind of operating under the assumption that the
- 30:56Speaker 5: Jets just are all in for the twenty twenty seven draft,
- 30:59Speaker 5: I think that that's really where they are looking at quarterback.
- 31:03Speaker 5: It kind of leaves the Cardinals, and you know, there's
- 31:06Speaker 5: been some talk that the Rams want to get the
- 31:08Speaker 5: successor to Matt Stafford.
- 31:10Speaker 6: Those are really like the only teams, But the.
- 31:12Speaker 5: Rams are trying to win now, right, they need to
- 31:15Speaker 5: continue to just add firepower to their team. So I've
- 31:19Speaker 5: just kind of the way I've been betting this market
- 31:21Speaker 5: is I'm just betting the Cardinals to be the team
- 31:24Speaker 5: to draft Ty Simpson, and that way, whether or not
- 31:27Speaker 5: they trade up into the first round to get them,
- 31:29Speaker 5: or they sit back and they take them at thirty four,
- 31:32Speaker 5: you're kind of covered.
- 31:33Speaker 6: In either direction.
- 31:34Speaker 5: I think that's the smartest way to play this because
- 31:38Speaker 5: there is an upside or there's a peal in trading
- 31:43Speaker 5: up and getting that fifth year option for your rookie
- 31:46Speaker 5: quarterback right like, that has value.
- 31:48Speaker 6: I think it's something that the Cardinals will consider.
- 31:50Speaker 5: But if the Cardinals don't decide to trade up, I
- 31:54Speaker 5: don't know if there's going to be another suitor. That
- 31:56Speaker 5: really is like knocking down the door to get back
- 31:59Speaker 5: in the first round and get tie sims.
- 32:01Speaker 8: From a game.
- 32:02Speaker 7: Theer perspective that they actually think about it like that
- 32:07Speaker 7: once it gets to the end of the first round.
- 32:09Speaker 7: Now the Cardinals might take a running back at three,
- 32:10Speaker 7: So I'm not sure they're actually thinking all that strategically
- 32:14Speaker 7: in that organization. But maybe they just say, like, look,
- 32:19Speaker 7: we're better off not giving up assets and waiting, and
- 32:21Speaker 7: we think he's going to drop thirty four. He doesn't,
- 32:24Speaker 7: so be it. You know, we'll go somewhere. We'll go
- 32:26Speaker 7: with another quarterback maybe later. So gone to your head,
- 32:32Speaker 7: do you think Simpson goes in the first round or not?
- 32:35Speaker 8: Yes, I'm gonna say no. But there's like there's many
- 32:40Speaker 8: outs for it to happen.
- 32:42Speaker 1: I'm on no as well, And I think to go
- 32:44Speaker 1: with the theory aspect of it, if you only have
- 32:48Speaker 1: two teams that are vying for his services, I think
- 32:52Speaker 1: you tend to see teams play chicken more than they
- 32:55Speaker 1: get aggressive. When teams get aggressive, it's because they think
- 33:00Speaker 1: that there's amo coming from every direction. And if it's
- 33:04Speaker 1: just Cardinals v Rams, I could see both of them saying,
- 33:09Speaker 1: we're not going to do it now, We'll do it
- 33:11Speaker 1: next and just see how far they can push it.
- 33:14Speaker 2: I mean, can't you just.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Close your eyes and picture all right? It's night two,
- 33:18Speaker 1: Friday night, Welcome to the NFL Draft on ESPN. Ty
- 33:20Speaker 1: Simpson's still available and that's the lead storyline for the
- 33:24Speaker 1: entire day. So obviously the number has moved in the
- 33:27Speaker 1: other direction. Matt, do you think that there is such
- 33:30Speaker 1: an information game in the move the number has moved
- 33:32Speaker 1: so drastically.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Do you think that that is on.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Recreational action wanting to take the over on the most
- 33:38Speaker 1: important position in football, or do you think someone knows
- 33:41Speaker 1: something out there.
- 33:43Speaker 5: I think it's a lot of different things. I do
- 33:45Speaker 5: think that it's a bet that people want to make.
- 33:49Speaker 5: But you know, there is the fact that Ty Simpson's
- 33:52Speaker 5: going to be at the draft, and you know, you
- 33:55Speaker 5: would like to think that the guys who are advising
- 33:57Speaker 5: him are like, yes, you're gonna hear your name called
- 34:01Speaker 5: on night one.
- 34:02Speaker 6: This is a situation.
- 34:04Speaker 5: But at the same time, we've seen guys sit in
- 34:06Speaker 5: that green room, you know, so like, maybe he's not
- 34:10Speaker 5: getting the best information.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Who knows.
- 34:14Speaker 5: The way that the market is priced. I would not
- 34:17Speaker 5: bet him going in the first round at the moment,
- 34:19Speaker 5: right like the way you you lined it up with
- 34:22Speaker 5: the uh basically it being a minus four hundred bet
- 34:26Speaker 5: at this point, there's no value there. But you know,
- 34:30Speaker 5: to go back to Stucky's original point, like if I
- 34:33Speaker 5: had a gun to my head and you said, is
- 34:34Speaker 5: ty Simpson going to be a first rounder? I do
- 34:37Speaker 5: think that, Yeah, it's more likely than not that he
- 34:40Speaker 5: ends up in the first round.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Well, a psychotic burglar, by the way, running up to
- 34:43Speaker 1: you your head saying I need to know is Simpson
- 34:46Speaker 1: the first round pick?
- 34:48Speaker 7: I think on some of the prediction markets, just now Tyson, Like,
- 34:52Speaker 7: just right now, Tyson became a favorite over Tate to
- 34:58Speaker 7: be the first receiver drafted.
- 35:01Speaker 8: You like that right now?
- 35:03Speaker 5: Yeah, it's been trending in that direction. Ever since that workout,
- 35:07Speaker 5: you know, all the noise has been Tyson is a
- 35:10Speaker 5: riser to the point where you know, maybe he does
- 35:13Speaker 5: end up going five to the Giants. I've been saying
- 35:15Speaker 5: all throughout this whole process that the Giants priority should
- 35:20Speaker 5: be trying to help Jackson Dark right Like. They do
- 35:24Speaker 5: have a legit number one receiver in Molik Neighbors, but
- 35:27Speaker 5: that shouldn't preclude them from adding another player, especially since
- 35:31Speaker 5: they lost Wandelle Robinson, right Like, they have a clear
- 35:34Speaker 5: need at receiver. And I think, just if you're if
- 35:38Speaker 5: you're looking at like a team building standpoint, adding a
- 35:42Speaker 5: wide receiver with a top five pick makes so much
- 35:45Speaker 5: more sense than adding a off ball linebacker or a safety.
- 35:50Speaker 5: So if it comes down to it, yeah, maybe Tyson
- 35:53Speaker 5: does end up sneaking into the top five. And yeah,
- 35:57Speaker 5: I'm at this point expecting him to be drafted before Carnell.
- 36:02Speaker 2: T all Right.
- 36:03Speaker 4: I gave out my favorite long shot of Garrett nas Meyer,
- 36:07Speaker 4: so now I need yours.
- 36:10Speaker 6: It's definitely not going to be that long, I'll tell
- 36:12Speaker 6: you that much.
- 36:14Speaker 5: I like Spencer Fano to be the top offensive linement,
- 36:18Speaker 5: the first offensive lineman drafted that's kind of closed the
- 36:21Speaker 5: gap between him and Mauigoa, like to the point where
- 36:26Speaker 5: it's now considered kind of a coin flip. So it's
- 36:29Speaker 5: not even much of a long shot. But a few
- 36:31Speaker 5: days ago, a few weeks ago, you could have gotten
- 36:33Speaker 5: a really good price on that. I still think there's
- 36:35Speaker 5: a good chance that he ends up going number six
- 36:37Speaker 5: to the Browns. So that's kind of the guy that
- 36:41Speaker 5: I am am really hoping for at this point. If
- 36:44Speaker 5: you wanted something a little bit hotter, like Mauigoa could
- 36:48Speaker 5: end up being like the third or fourth offensive lineman
- 36:51Speaker 5: taken in this draft. He's a guy that I think
- 36:54Speaker 5: is not as well regarded in like the scouting community
- 36:58Speaker 5: as he is in terms of like the fans' minds. Right,
- 37:02Speaker 5: they know him from Miami. He sort of entered this
- 37:05Speaker 5: process as the number one offensive lineman, but I think
- 37:09Speaker 5: he's fallen down a lot of draft boards, especially when
- 37:11Speaker 5: you factor in the medical stuff with his back. It
- 37:15Speaker 5: wouldn't shock me if he ends up falling to like
- 37:17Speaker 5: the back half of the first round.
- 37:19Speaker 7: By the way, you can you can tell these uh,
- 37:22Speaker 7: these NFL and draft and fantasy guys like Matt when
- 37:26Speaker 7: they in April. When they're talking to these college guys,
- 37:29Speaker 7: they don't they don't know, they don't know their names
- 37:30Speaker 7: because they haven't watched college Mali noah, Mali noah. But
- 37:37Speaker 7: I've heard Mali goa from a lot uh many people.
- 37:40Speaker 7: And then you're gonna probably hear this name wrong too.
- 37:43Speaker 7: Uh de Penn State intier offensive lineman. How would you
- 37:47Speaker 7: say his name? I own, Yeah, you'll hear a lot
- 37:52Speaker 7: of ion a, but it's yo wanna.
- 37:56Speaker 6: So uh all right, good to know.
- 37:58Speaker 7: But I I spend so much time in for college
- 38:03Speaker 7: football every year before we do all the preview pods,
- 38:05Speaker 7: and I'll still get some wrong, like going through the rosters,
- 38:08Speaker 7: and then I'm like, oh god, especially like on utub Uyu,
- 38:11Speaker 7: all the Samoan names, and then I'm like looking up
- 38:13Speaker 7: how to pronounce them.
- 38:14Speaker 5: Here's how I follow college football. What's stuck you on
- 38:17Speaker 5: this week? Okay, let's go, let's ride.
- 38:21Speaker 7: I actually I can see, I can. I like that Fano. Look,
- 38:24Speaker 7: I found O looking. I think that he's he could
- 38:28Speaker 7: go to Cleveland. I think, well, Cleveland will probably mess
- 38:30Speaker 7: up somehow, but I think it makes sense for Cleveland
- 38:32Speaker 7: to go tackle then probably wide receiver depending on who's there.
- 38:36Speaker 7: That's really where they need help.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Stays at that pick though, I think they they're definitely.
- 38:42Speaker 8: They're definitely could trade down.
- 38:44Speaker 4: I feel like they're going to bail on it if
- 38:46Speaker 4: they can.
- 38:48Speaker 7: There's a lot of tackles here, so like they could
- 38:50Speaker 7: get if they don't have like this huge burning like
- 38:56Speaker 7: a desire to get one of the tackles, like we
- 38:58Speaker 7: need to get this tackle in the matter what. I
- 39:01Speaker 7: actually think a lot of the tackles are overrated in
- 39:05Speaker 7: this class. But there's definitely gonna be a run on them.
- 39:06Speaker 8: I don't know what.
- 39:07Speaker 7: I think there's probably gonna be like seven that go
- 39:10Speaker 7: in the first round. I'm actually most intrigued that I
- 39:13Speaker 7: mentioned this with our and our like five favorite guys
- 39:16Speaker 7: that uh be on the tour. I love as I
- 39:20Speaker 7: think he might end up being the best tackle and
- 39:22Speaker 7: a little bit of projects he.
- 39:24Speaker 8: Hasn't been playing his whole life.
- 39:25Speaker 7: But yeah, they definitely are certainly a trade candidate and
- 39:30Speaker 7: will definitely be looking at offers.
- 39:32Speaker 8: So they're there.
- 39:33Speaker 7: That's an interesting kind of inflection point in the draft
- 39:35Speaker 7: where the Browns are like who did they take? Do
- 39:37Speaker 7: they trade down? Does someone want to come up and
- 39:39Speaker 7: get someone like the Chiefs the Rams, they want to
- 39:43Speaker 7: make a big splash and and trade up. So uh,
- 39:48Speaker 7: they're they're they're definitely interesting because they could go over
- 39:51Speaker 7: Brown Skull, also could go receiver, and then you have
- 39:54Speaker 7: a couple of teams behind them that you know want receivers,
- 39:59Speaker 7: and but the Saints are definitely going to be looking
- 40:02Speaker 7: at receiver the Commanders, so that say the Browns take
- 40:06Speaker 7: a wide receiver or someone trades up and gets a
- 40:08Speaker 7: wide receiver there, then that changes what maybe the Commanders
- 40:12Speaker 7: or indoor Saints do. So yeah, I'm I'm really really
- 40:18Speaker 7: intrigued by the amount of trades that we could see
- 40:22Speaker 7: this this year, which will make the draft extremely exciting.
- 40:27Speaker 7: And we also have eight minute clock which is going
- 40:31Speaker 7: to make it even more interesting. And so there's just
- 40:33Speaker 7: no need to flip channels too. But you know you
- 40:36Speaker 7: can't even flip channels. Uh there it's the NBA's on
- 40:40Speaker 7: Prime TV. That's the devastating.
- 40:42Speaker 3: Glow for the quad box truthers.
- 40:47Speaker 7: How are you are you guys going to be I mean,
- 40:48Speaker 7: people have a lot of people have multiple screens, but
- 40:50Speaker 7: like I go, I usually go out for the draft,
- 40:53Speaker 7: so like it's just gonna be the draft on all
- 40:55Speaker 7: of our r TVs.
- 40:58Speaker 8: There's not if they have.
- 41:02Speaker 4: It's Stanley Couk playoffs are on, that'll be on.
- 41:05Speaker 7: I'm saying, Uh, the NBA, it's bad. It's bad because
- 41:09Speaker 7: people you and NFL is still king and not having
- 41:16Speaker 7: the ability to just flip.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I'm Octo boxing tonight, boys.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Before we cut you lose. How do you take it in?
- 41:23Speaker 1: How do you take in the draft?
- 41:25Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 41:25Speaker 5: I'm normally, Uh, let's silence the cell phones and try
- 41:30Speaker 5: to follow along with the TV broadcast because it has
- 41:33Speaker 5: gotten to the point where if you're just looking on Twitter,
- 41:36Speaker 5: you'll know like two or three picks.
- 41:39Speaker 6: Down the line.
- 41:40Speaker 8: I hate that.
- 41:42Speaker 6: Yeah, it's the worst.
- 41:43Speaker 4: Uh.
- 41:44Speaker 5: I think that ultimately I am an NBA guy at heart.
- 41:49Speaker 5: That will be my primary screen tonight, just sort of
- 41:53Speaker 5: the draft.
- 41:57Speaker 7: There should be so that the NBA games are good too,
- 41:59Speaker 7: which which hurts them like they're there's not like the
- 42:02Speaker 7: thunder as a you know, eighteen.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Point three, Jake, how dare you night?
- 42:08Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 42:09Speaker 7: I have at like I never look at Twitter. I
- 42:11Speaker 7: will tweet my takes. I'm like, oh I love this pic,
- 42:15Speaker 7: I love this guy. I will never look I because
- 42:17Speaker 7: you can find out, and then I get why if
- 42:21Speaker 7: you're a national I think ESPN should they. I think
- 42:24Speaker 7: they've be gotten a little bit better. They should just
- 42:26Speaker 7: tell their reporters like you're not allowed to. But I
- 42:29Speaker 7: understand why the reporters will want to write like you're
- 42:31Speaker 7: the first one to tweet. Everyone is searching, and then
- 42:33Speaker 7: you get a ton of engagement and retweet.
- 42:35Speaker 5: Right, And if they tell chef or not to do it,
- 42:38Speaker 5: it's not gonna stop.
- 42:39Speaker 8: Someone else is gonna do it.
- 42:40Speaker 3: Yeah, So I get why it's going to be hot tub.
- 42:43Speaker 7: But that's that's the joy for me. Watching the draft
- 42:45Speaker 7: is like I don't care if I have to wait
- 42:48Speaker 7: an extra four minutes. I like when it gets actually
- 42:50Speaker 7: announced and I'm like, oh, who is instead of reading
- 42:52Speaker 7: it on a tweet like the the Browns will take
- 42:54Speaker 7: this guy. So I'm a non looker as well.
- 42:59Speaker 6: I do not and I don't want to.
- 43:02Speaker 2: I don't want to see any of you tweeting during
- 43:04Speaker 2: the draft. Okay, I will.
- 43:06Speaker 7: Pull up my Twitter to tweet like I like this
- 43:09Speaker 7: pick I don't and every once in a while, because
- 43:12Speaker 7: you have to pull up your even your following or
- 43:15Speaker 7: you for your page first, I won't scroll or anything,
- 43:18Speaker 7: and I'll just go to hit put your.
- 43:19Speaker 4: Phone on D n D because you'll get the notifications
- 43:22Speaker 4: from like shifter in.
- 43:23Speaker 3: All of those.
- 43:24Speaker 1: I don't have any notifications for anyone notifications a notification.
- 43:27Speaker 7: Sometimes I'll see it when I pull it up and
- 43:29Speaker 7: I'm so mad, like if that's the one of the
- 43:31Speaker 7: tweets on when I pull and I'm like, and I
- 43:33Speaker 7: get I legitimately get angry that I saw I got
- 43:36Speaker 7: a pick spoiled.
- 43:37Speaker 5: PA.
- 43:37Speaker 3: Just don't have notifications on for shifting. That's crazy.
- 43:40Speaker 2: No, my phones on't.
- 43:42Speaker 7: Do not disturb and non football like my my notifications
- 43:47Speaker 7: are for line moves on the action that which will
- 43:50Speaker 7: during football in college basketball is like my phone every
- 43:52Speaker 7: second I'm getting notification, So I'll just put an alert
- 43:56Speaker 7: on every single game.
- 43:59Speaker 8: But ah no, I don't have any I don't have
- 44:04Speaker 8: any Twitter.
- 44:05Speaker 3: You guys are crazy.
- 44:06Speaker 2: We're locked in, all right.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Let's get to our Draft Kings segment of the day,
- 44:10Speaker 1: our favorite prop bet presented by Draft Kings.
- 44:13Speaker 2: The crown is yours flag?
- 44:17Speaker 8: It shut up, I'm trying to plant my flag here.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Okay, you're really planning your flag in that thick Matt
- 44:23Speaker 1: you are our guests.
- 44:24Speaker 2: You are dialed in.
- 44:27Speaker 1: What's your favorite bet of them all as we head
- 44:30Speaker 1: into the NFL Draft.
- 44:33Speaker 5: I need to get the updated number, but if you
- 44:36Speaker 5: can still get I mean, up until very recently, Jeremiah
- 44:39Speaker 5: Love to be a top five pick was like minus
- 44:42Speaker 5: one thirty five. I have to imagine that that's been
- 44:45Speaker 5: crushed minus five right now. Okay, if you could get
- 44:50Speaker 5: him even in the top four and pay a little
- 44:52Speaker 5: bit of a better price tag on that, I just
- 44:55Speaker 5: think that's kind of my big take right now, is
- 44:57Speaker 5: that that Jeremiah Love is not last past pick four.
- 45:01Speaker 5: I think he's gonna be one of the first four
- 45:02Speaker 5: players drafted. I think that honestly. At this point, I
- 45:06Speaker 5: think he's gonna end up going third. So that's that's
- 45:11Speaker 5: the guy that I am locked in on. I think
- 45:12Speaker 5: he ends up finishing in the top four.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I'm gonna end up betting him to
- 45:17Speaker 1: the Cardinals at three.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Kendre, what about you?
- 45:19Speaker 4: The Cardinals are going to be asked for eternity. But
- 45:22Speaker 4: that's a big not my problem.
- 45:24Speaker 2: We have a good running back if you're.
- 45:25Speaker 3: I know, yeah, I mean, that's a big not my
- 45:28Speaker 3: problem operation.
- 45:29Speaker 4: But like just I have such Leonard Fournette trauma. But
- 45:32Speaker 4: all right, I'm sticking with it. You guys have I've
- 45:36Speaker 4: been doing this for weeks. I'm going over on quarterbacks
- 45:38Speaker 4: selected in the first round.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Double down.
- 45:40Speaker 4: If you get a better price for Ty Simpson to
- 45:42Speaker 4: go instead of the over on the quarterbacks, whatever however
- 45:46Speaker 4: you want to play it, That's where I'm at.
- 45:49Speaker 3: I'm not I'm not going away from it now.
- 45:54Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 45:54Speaker 7: I can't even look at lines not big. If there
- 45:57Speaker 7: was a market for defensive tackles taken like, I would
- 46:02Speaker 7: maybe look at that, Like I think defensive tackles are
- 46:04Speaker 7: a position that's becoming so important.
- 46:06Speaker 5: Look at I think it's like one and a half. Yeah,
- 46:09Speaker 5: one and a half is the number I've.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Over seven and a half stucky tweets during the first round.
- 46:16Speaker 8: Oh it'll be over, way over. I'll be drinking too,
- 46:19Speaker 8: so way over.
- 46:21Speaker 7: But how about what's what's Miami? So based on who
- 46:26Speaker 7: this Miami staff is, you know, they have needs all over.
- 46:30Speaker 7: But I think it would make the most sense for
- 46:32Speaker 7: them to go just on who who they are, who
- 46:36Speaker 7: that new regime is. I think that they're gonna end
- 46:39Speaker 7: with how deep the tackle classes. I think Miami is
- 46:45Speaker 7: gonna go a line is that? Are they a dog
- 46:48Speaker 7: to pick an offensive lineman? I think on some of
- 46:50Speaker 7: the prediction markets I saw, I don't know how much liquidity.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Is in those.
- 46:53Speaker 6: I don't think anyone has any clue what they're gonna do.
- 46:55Speaker 8: Yeah, so that would be my ke for Miami. Miami
- 46:59Speaker 8: can take a lineman. Anybody can anyone for sure.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Probably let me look, it's gonna take some scrolling.
- 47:06Speaker 7: You said, agree, took plus one twenty five of lineman yesterday.
- 47:10Speaker 7: Uh heavan is that still available?
- 47:14Speaker 3: Checking now? I did it at a competitor with I
- 47:17Speaker 3: didn't see it on DraftKings since I'm in New York
- 47:19Speaker 3: and I can't see those odds either.
- 47:21Speaker 8: Is that county? Can anyone with DraftKings draft?
- 47:24Speaker 3: I'm scrolling, I'm scrolling.
- 47:26Speaker 2: I'm scrolling DraftKings right now.
- 47:28Speaker 1: In the AFC East is only offering the.
- 47:31Speaker 2: Bills at the moment. That's how the position all this.
- 47:35Speaker 8: Is Buffalo Bills positions.
- 47:37Speaker 6: Yeah, the D.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Line, offensive line, wide receiver, line back.
- 47:41Speaker 8: A competitor offensive line from Miami is now one sixty one.
- 47:46Speaker 7: Wow, great price you got there? Happened plus minus or plus.
- 47:53Speaker 3: Right now, it's minus I got plus one.
- 47:55Speaker 7: Oh nice, you got ahead of that. That's tough at
- 47:59Speaker 7: minus one plus one twenty five, which I had your
- 48:03Speaker 7: your ticket, But that that's my Well, that MIGHTUS one
- 48:07Speaker 7: sixty one is not even a top take.
- 48:08Speaker 8: How about can you bet on who? This is probably
- 48:15Speaker 8: not in any of the league.
- 48:16Speaker 3: Evan said that the total of trades is at four
- 48:18Speaker 3: and a half. Why don't you just smash that.
- 48:19Speaker 7: Over total trades four and a half.
- 48:23Speaker 2: Average last twenty years five and a half trades.
- 48:27Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm gonna go over I do. I think this
- 48:31Speaker 7: is my hypotsis. I don't know if it'll be true,
- 48:33Speaker 7: if it even matters at all, but I think because
- 48:35Speaker 7: of the shorter because of the nature of the strap,
- 48:38Speaker 7: because of how many teams have multiple picks.
- 48:44Speaker 8: I think.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Now.
- 48:47Speaker 7: But my other take is that I think that Ty
- 48:49Speaker 7: Simpson's gonna go in the second round. It is not
- 48:50Speaker 7: gonna be a trade off, but that would help.
- 48:55Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 48:55Speaker 7: It's probably a good number, but I'm just gonna say,
- 48:59Speaker 7: Miami offensive lineman, and what are the Bills positions?
- 49:03Speaker 8: What is their favorite to pick?
- 49:05Speaker 3: Defensive line?
- 49:07Speaker 8: Even money, they're probably gonna go.
- 49:10Speaker 6: I kind of like a receiver for be, what's receiver?
- 49:17Speaker 8: I like that. I like a shot up the Bills
- 49:19Speaker 8: ticker receiver the.
- 49:21Speaker 4: Keon Coleman coming to bite them in the ass his corpse.
- 49:26Speaker 1: You gotta get something to help out do whatever they do.
- 49:28Speaker 1: They should just have Josh Allen go up, but not
- 49:30Speaker 1: only announce the pick, but actually select the pick.
- 49:33Speaker 3: No, he screwed the Sabers the other night.
- 49:35Speaker 4: And actually, fun fact, if a quarterback has been in
- 49:38Speaker 4: the building for a Stanley Cup playoff game, their team
- 49:41Speaker 4: has lost. JJ McCarthy was in the building for the
- 49:42Speaker 4: Wild last night. They lost in double overtime.
- 49:45Speaker 3: Josh Allen was in the building the other night for
- 49:47Speaker 3: the Sabers they lost.
- 49:49Speaker 4: Bet on it, Drake may better not show up for
- 49:51Speaker 4: the Bruins tonight, bitch.
- 49:53Speaker 7: If I'm the Bills, I mean I would want like probably.
- 50:00Speaker 7: I mean last year they went, what did they last
- 50:02Speaker 7: year they went? They drafted Landon Jackson TJ. So they
- 50:08Speaker 7: went like heavy D line SEC. So they have some
- 50:13Speaker 7: deon Walker like they just went young D line. No,
- 50:17Speaker 7: they could, they could go back to that, but linebackers safety.
- 50:22Speaker 7: From a Bills fan, I want to address that, you know,
- 50:24Speaker 7: I don't necessarily think they'd have to do that in
- 50:25Speaker 7: the first round, but I like that. Look at wide
- 50:29Speaker 7: receiver plus four fifty.
- 50:30Speaker 8: That's why I'll go.
- 50:31Speaker 1: With I'm gonna go over on wide receivers five and
- 50:34Speaker 1: a half selected. You twisted my arm, Matt. Appreciate the
- 50:38Speaker 1: the lean there. I think it's sort of a mid
- 50:41Speaker 1: off with these wide receivers in Round one, but they
- 50:44Speaker 1: seem to be catching some steam. And we know it's
- 50:46Speaker 1: a copycat league. There's a lot of JSN looking guys
- 50:50Speaker 1: in this year's class. In that first round, I think
- 50:53Speaker 1: teams are going to chase that level of production. That
- 50:55Speaker 1: is our favorite draft bets as we head into Round one,
- 50:59Speaker 1: present by Draft Kings of the Crown is yours, Matt.
