Latest / Relatables / EP 43 - WHY CAN'T WE ALL BE INTROVERTS??
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: I'm not known for dingleberries.
- 0:01Speaker 2: I'll admit, I have a few chia seeds popping out
- 0:03Speaker 2: here and there because I've been having a lot of
- 0:04Speaker 2: chia seeds lately. But fully undigested chia seeds coming out.
- 0:09Speaker 2: But I cannot remember for the life of me being
- 0:11Speaker 2: called dingle. We like to talk about just masculinity, the
- 0:15Speaker 2: way that it's just getting left behind. And we truly
- 0:18Speaker 2: try to get these young guys to just be looking
- 0:20Speaker 2: more into their masculinity. We sell a course to start
- 0:23Speaker 2: businesses and get jacked and have six packs.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. I'll have to, I don't know about the podcast,
- 0:29Speaker 1: but the course, I'll have to check it out. That's
- 0:31Speaker 1: everything I'm all about. Jake and Artie, the Relatable Party. Relatable.
- 0:43Speaker 2: The Relatable Podcast is hosted by myself, Jake Craig, a.k.a.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Daddy.
- 0:47Speaker 2: And my partner in crime, Mr. Artie Clark, a.k.a.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Mummy.
- 0:51Speaker 2: And you guys are the daddies. Actually, I was thinking
- 0:55Speaker 2: of starting a different way, but I was going to
- 0:56Speaker 2: say like, how are we?
- 0:58Speaker 1: Ooh, old school.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Yeah, good.
- 1:00Speaker 1: My gut's still annoying me, but overall, I'm actually feeling
- 1:04Speaker 1: really good. I've been locked in for some reason with
- 1:06Speaker 1: my diet and then like also just like, what would
- 1:09Speaker 1: you call it? Routine. Good.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I've been locked in on my diet as well. I'm
- 1:13Speaker 2: not going to lie to you.
- 1:14Speaker 1: What about you? How are you feeling?
- 1:15Speaker 2: Pretty good. Like body-wise, I feel good.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Yeah. As in... Actually, randomly? Mentally, you don't.
- 1:21Speaker 2: No, mentally, I think I'm... I find mentally, I feel
- 1:25Speaker 2: pretty solid all the time.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Pretty lucky with that. but maybe this would be a
- 1:28Speaker 2: sign of mentally not feeling solid. Number one, my body
- 1:31Speaker 2: feels good, but we all know that I've had like
- 1:32Speaker 2: tummy issues my whole life. So we don't know if
- 1:34Speaker 2: I actually feel like shit and just don't know it.
- 1:36Speaker 2: But I've been doing my naturopath regime and I don't
- 1:43Speaker 2: really know there's a huge difference yet, but it's been
- 1:44Speaker 2: less than a month. So I'm going to- Parasite cleanse.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I'm going to give it a- My parasite cleanse hasn't
- 1:48Speaker 2: even started yet. My parasite cleanse starts in like a
- 1:50Speaker 2: couple of weeks. Yeah. But I randomly have been having
- 1:56Speaker 2: like I don't think it's body dysmorphia. But it's body.
- 2:02Speaker 2: What is it called? Just like body image?
- 2:04Speaker 1: You're concerned about how your body looks.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I kind of like a couple of times been getting
- 2:07Speaker 2: out of the shower and just been like, I kind
- 2:09Speaker 2: of just want to lock in and go to the
- 2:11Speaker 2: gym a bit more. I was like, I'm not happy
- 2:12Speaker 2: with this.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Shit. I know. You should send us a few pics.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I don't know. I haven't seen you show up.
- 2:18Speaker 2: In a while.
- 2:19Speaker 1: But sometimes I will....
- 2:22Speaker 2: See myself on a certain angle and think, oh, I'm
- 2:24Speaker 2: just fucking tripping balls here. But then other times in
- 2:27Speaker 2: good lighting, you know, in good lighting, I'm like, oh,
- 2:29Speaker 2: I'm tripping balls.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I look great. You should install one of those squish
- 2:32Speaker 1: mirrors they have at the gym, which make everyone look
- 2:35Speaker 1: like Vulcan Matthew. Yeah, true, true.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I just fucking, to be fair, I've been locking in
- 2:41Speaker 2: on diet, but I haven't been locking in on protein
- 2:43Speaker 2: and stuff. Like I still have protein, but I've been
- 2:45Speaker 2: locking in on just fiber and then, keeping a wide
- 2:50Speaker 2: variety of fruits and vegetables, which is what my naturopath said.
- 2:53Speaker 1: What's body dysmorphia is when you look good, but you
- 2:56Speaker 1: think you look bad. Yeah. That's body dysmorphia. And what
- 2:58Speaker 1: is it when, so you're saying you, I just, I
- 3:02Speaker 1: think it's just body image issues. Like I know I
- 3:05Speaker 1: don't look bad.
- 3:06Speaker 2: And if we're talking objectively or if I compare myself
- 3:08Speaker 2: to other people, but I think if I look at
- 3:11Speaker 2: myself and I think, Oh, I've had times in my
- 3:13Speaker 2: life where I have just worked way harder to look better.
- 3:15Speaker 2: And I did look better. And I just think like, Oh,
- 3:18Speaker 2: I kind of, I'm comparing myself to.
- 3:19Speaker 1: The old me. It's a hard one though too because
- 3:21Speaker 1: do you compare yourself to the standard you hold to yourself?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Which in maybe your eyes, you're not looking that great.
- 3:28Speaker 1: But then if you do compare to general averages, you're
- 3:31Speaker 1: actually looking great. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I can say that easily. But also my gym doesn't help.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Are you going to that fancy one on the go still? Yeah.
- 3:39Speaker 2: And then my younger brother very recently comes out and
- 3:41Speaker 2: says like, oh, because he stopped going to the gym.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Dad got rid of his membership.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Oh.
- 3:46Speaker 2: And he's come out and he said, you know, do
- 3:48Speaker 2: you still go to the gym? And I was like, yeah,
- 3:50Speaker 2: I still go. And he said, oh, I'd like to go.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I said, cool, cool, cool.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Why did your dad cancel it?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Because he wasn't going. My dad just was like, I'm
- 3:55Speaker 2: going to.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Pay for it. Bro, the other one that we like,
- 3:58Speaker 1: the non-pretentious one.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where we need to go.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Yeah. We need to go. You go to literally probably
- 4:01Speaker 1: the most pretentious gym in Australia. Hands down, bro.
- 4:05Speaker 2: I live on the Gold Coast, Influencer Central, and this
- 4:07Speaker 2: is the Influencer Gym, bro.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 2: People there are fucking jacked. Oh, yeah.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I've seen Instagram. You open your Instagram and it's just,
- 4:15Speaker 1: Bloody shirt off guy or bloody jacked woman.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It's genuinely not healthy for the mental health.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Can't be. And then everyone's also like tanned year round
- 4:24Speaker 1: up there. Lean, 5% body fat.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Also, it's like encouraged to film and it's encouraged to
- 4:31Speaker 2: work out of like a shirt off. There's dudes just
- 4:33Speaker 2: like working out. I feel bad for the women that
- 4:36Speaker 2: work out there, if I'm being honest with you. Because
- 4:38Speaker 2: if you go, there's certain times a day, I've been
- 4:40Speaker 2: there where it's just 30 guys.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Really?
- 4:43Speaker 2: And like at least 10 of them have their shirt off.
- 4:46Speaker 2: And I'm kind of like, you look good, you know?
- 4:48Speaker 2: And it's like, I'd love to look like that obviously,
- 4:50Speaker 2: but also it's kind of gross.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Make sure you fucking clean like your sweat up and
- 4:54Speaker 2: shit after that. At least the shirt's a barrier.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I didn't think of that actually.
- 4:58Speaker 2: It's like fucking kind of gross.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I was like, I guess you know what you're getting
- 5:01Speaker 1: yourself into though. Yeah. And I feel like I've been
- 5:04Speaker 1: there and like, there's like Porsches and like nice cars
- 5:06Speaker 1: parked out the front. I feel like not really going
- 5:09Speaker 1: out there to get a good session in. going out
- 5:12Speaker 1: there for a little.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Bit eye candy or something I don't know it's like
- 5:14Speaker 2: almost performative oh it's so performative I rock up in
- 5:17Speaker 2: Fran bro I reckon there's a time and a.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Place for it and I would like go there occasionally
- 5:20Speaker 1: but it couldn't be my everyday.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Gym nah I'm starting to for some reason I just
- 5:25Speaker 2: I don't know if it's like admin for me is
- 5:28Speaker 2: the reason why I don't change definitely is it's definitely
- 5:32Speaker 2: the admin honestly because I ended up having a few
- 5:34Speaker 2: issues with getting signed up properly and then it double
- 5:36Speaker 2: charged me and then he sorted me out and he
- 5:38Speaker 2: was a good bloke and now I just go now
- 5:40Speaker 2: I just get the single charge And I just, like,
- 5:44Speaker 2: good equipment, good gym.
- 5:45Speaker 1: It's just so many people.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I want to ask the guy, like, any chance you
- 5:49Speaker 2: just want to open another one and cap the membership?
- 5:51Speaker 2: I'll pay more. Like, I'd pay $ 50 a week just
- 5:53Speaker 2: to have a capped membership gym.
- 5:54Speaker 1: That actually brings up a good point I've been thinking
- 5:56Speaker 1: about a lot recently. With that gym and also Instagram,
- 5:59Speaker 1: it's so performative but also aesthetic. Yeah, bro. And I'm
- 6:03Speaker 1: kind of, like, leaning into or want to lean into being–
- 6:07Speaker 1: real and normal and bringing back the Instagram was just
- 6:11Speaker 1: like vibes and extension of your personality. And like, cause
- 6:14Speaker 1: sometimes I like going to the gym and like literally
- 6:17Speaker 1: like to those persons, those people's standards looking like shit.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I don't want to wear all the nice, I just
- 6:22Speaker 1: want to put on a shirt, some like old soccer shirt,
- 6:25Speaker 1: old soccer shorts, sorry. And then just go work out
- 6:27Speaker 1: and get a fucking hard session in and no one
- 6:29Speaker 1: sees me. Like, I kind of like that. That's kind
- 6:31Speaker 1: of true. That's what like working out is meant to be.
- 6:34Speaker 1: But now it's like, get some Instagram pics. Also be aesthetic,
- 6:37Speaker 1: go to the most aesthetic gym. And then it's just like, fuck,
- 6:39Speaker 1: it takes up so much brain capacity.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Or the one thing, funny you say that, I do
- 6:43Speaker 2: notice everyone there, they will be where, like they don't
- 6:48Speaker 2: just chuck on Gym clothes. Like, there's no... Like, they
- 6:52Speaker 2: don't just chuck these gym clothes on. They're wearing nice stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Very nice stuff.
- 6:58Speaker 1: And don't get me wrong. Time and place for it,
- 6:59Speaker 1: but not every single day.
- 7:01Speaker 2: I just think, like, I guess.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Effort.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I think effort, part of me is kind of like,
- 7:06Speaker 2: you know what?
- 7:07Speaker 1: Look good, feel good.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Like, they obviously... There's lots of mirrors in gyms, and
- 7:11Speaker 2: they look around, and they want to look at themselves
- 7:12Speaker 2: and look good. But, yeah, they're wearing some nice-ass fucking clothes, eh?
- 7:17Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. No, I agree. But I guess... I guess
- 7:19Speaker 1: it's what you value because it's so easy not to,
- 7:22Speaker 1: not to put yourself in that scenario. And it's weird
- 7:23Speaker 1: because it's a mad inclusive gym.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Like they send a text message out to like every
- 7:28Speaker 2: member gets a text message. It's obviously automated, right? But
- 7:31Speaker 2: every Saturday morning, you get it every Friday, every Saturday morning,
- 7:34Speaker 2: there's a thing called social sweat where they go, they
- 7:37Speaker 2: just took a big group workout. And it's called social sweat.
- 7:41Speaker 2: But they, and it's like, you know, come to the
- 7:44Speaker 2: social sweat, we'll train for an hour, then we'll get
- 7:46Speaker 2: a coffee and everyone hangs out. And like, You can
- 7:48Speaker 2: tell a bunch of people must go to it because
- 7:50Speaker 2: when you're at the gym, I've never been because I
- 7:52Speaker 2: just can't do it. I just don't like group training.
- 7:56Speaker 2: But everyone knows each other. Everyone knows each other.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Are they inclusive though? Because you go to like run clubs,
- 8:02Speaker 1: not that I've been, I've heard stories, but you go
- 8:04Speaker 1: to a run club or an event like this and
- 8:06Speaker 1: they go, oh yeah, all welcome. And then everyone just
- 8:08Speaker 1: talks to who they already know and then the person
- 8:10Speaker 1: who's new doesn't get talked to.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a hard one.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I actually, I wonder if I.
- 8:16Speaker 2: It's like, I put myself in the shoes of the
- 8:18Speaker 2: people that would already have been part of the run club.
- 8:21Speaker 2: And I'm probably the same. Like I'm not the type
- 8:23Speaker 2: to go up to a new person.
- 8:24Speaker 1: No.
- 8:25Speaker 2: And unless maybe someone encourages me and says, oh, are
- 8:28Speaker 2: they new? Like maybe someone should go talk to them.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Then I might go up and be like, oh, how
- 8:31Speaker 2: are you? Because you have like this maybe if you
- 8:34Speaker 2: feel like you belong to the run club, then you
- 8:37Speaker 2: feel as though you could be confident enough to go
- 8:39Speaker 2: bring someone into it.
- 8:40Speaker 1: And then it's like.
- 8:41Speaker 2: True.
- 8:42Speaker 1: If you're like almost in that top tier of who
- 8:45Speaker 1: started it. But I guess one thing I've always been
- 8:47Speaker 1: appreciative of is not needing connection or like other people.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Do you not need connection? But I feel like you do.
- 8:57Speaker 2: You just get it in different ways.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah, but not like that connection. How would you label
- 9:01Speaker 1: that connection? Obviously, I love to love. That's just social.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I could happily. I get caught on Instagram sometimes like
- 9:09Speaker 1: people who are traveling, backpacking around Europe and they go
- 9:12Speaker 1: into all these events and hostels. I'm like, this is
- 9:13Speaker 1: the worst thing in the world. Like if I went
- 9:15Speaker 1: backpacking by myself and say I was single, I wouldn't
- 9:17Speaker 1: talk to a soul for six weeks.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Bro, if you went backpacking by yourself, I'd probably call
- 9:21Speaker 2: the police and be like, that's an alien in Odi's
- 9:24Speaker 2: body that's just using him. There's a Valg demon in
- 9:28Speaker 2: Odi's body right now and the King of Ardalan's controlling
- 9:31Speaker 2: him via a ring. I was like, check for a collar.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I'd be saying, where's the collar?
- 9:34Speaker 1: Legit, I don't know how anyone like consciously makes the
- 9:38Speaker 1: decision to sleep in a hostel. Oh my goodness. I'd
- 9:42Speaker 1: prefer to stay home and not go on a trip.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Uh, if someone, yeah, if like, if for some reason,
- 9:47Speaker 2: if I was mad keen to go somewhere and all
- 9:49Speaker 2: my mates were just like hyping up this trip, that
- 9:51Speaker 2: would require mates. But anyway, let's just, let's keep it
- 9:54Speaker 2: all hypothetical.
- 9:55Speaker 3: And let's keep it all hypothetical let's just say they're
- 9:58Speaker 3: like we're going boys trip europe six weeks let's go
- 10:04Speaker 3: and i'm like hectic let's go where are we booking
- 10:06Speaker 3: a combo they go oh hostels i'd say i'm out
- 10:09Speaker 3: i'd say i'm.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Out i would too i'm literally not going we have
- 10:14Speaker 1: a friend i don't know if i told you or
- 10:15Speaker 1: not he's planning a europe trip next year with his
- 10:18Speaker 1: new girlfriend Oh, you did tell me this. That's nice.
- 10:20Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, yeah, where are you going
- 10:21Speaker 1: to stay? Like, what are you doing? And he goes, oh,
- 10:23Speaker 1: we're going to stay in a couple of hostels together.
- 10:26Speaker 1: And I was like, together? I'm like, what the fuck
- 10:30Speaker 1: is the point, bro? He's like, yeah, I'm just going
- 10:32Speaker 1: to save a bit of coin. And I'm like, don't
- 10:34Speaker 1: go there if you can't afford it. Literally.
- 10:38Speaker 2: It's so, it's like, it comes from such a privileged place.
- 10:42Speaker 2: But it's like, dead set. I'm not going if I
- 10:44Speaker 2: can't afford it. Just get my own accommodations.
- 10:46Speaker 1: And, like, I understand that, like, obviously you can still
- 10:49Speaker 1: go on a trip and have a great time and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 10:51Speaker 1: But I'd prefer to stay for an extra year and
- 10:53Speaker 1: stay in a hotel room than book a hostel.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Like, also, something, I don't know, thoughts on a Contiki tour?
- 11:02Speaker 1: Like, if you're single? Oh, if you're single, I wouldn't
- 11:04Speaker 1: do one, but I can see the hype around it.
- 11:06Speaker 2: What about Contiki with a girlfriend?
- 11:09Speaker 1: Hell no. Really? Once again, I don't need the connection. And, like,
- 11:13Speaker 1: I feel like I could plan a better trip than
- 11:15Speaker 1: a Contiki could. Give me my best friend. Definitely isn't
- 11:21Speaker 1: rhyming with.
- 11:23Speaker 2: ChatGPT.
- 11:24Speaker 1: EI. And I could plan the best trip ever.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Fuck, bro.
- 11:31Speaker 1: It is.
- 11:33Speaker 2: You get some good friends on those trips, bro.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Yeah, you do, I guess. The thing also, they do
- 11:38Speaker 1: this with golf.
- 11:39Speaker 2: If at a nice golf course, the way golf works
- 11:42Speaker 2: is tee times are every 10 minutes. Yeah.
- 11:44Speaker 1: And.
- 11:46Speaker 2: It's four people per tee time. And if you book
- 11:47Speaker 2: a tee time where it's just one person, they quite
- 11:49Speaker 2: often will put you with a group of two or like,
- 11:52Speaker 2: it could be four randoms that have all booked the
- 11:54Speaker 2: same tee time and you get put, you're playing the
- 11:56Speaker 2: same golf.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:57Speaker 2: And so you can either talk to him or not
- 11:58Speaker 2: talk to him. And it just, it can be awkward.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Oh, a hundred percent.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I've never really had it properly done, but it's like,
- 12:06Speaker 2: I can see.
- 12:06Speaker 1: It being awkward. If you could predict where your future's heading,
- 12:09Speaker 1: like socially. Yeah. How do you see yourself in like,
- 12:13Speaker 1: I don't know, 10 or 20 years?
- 12:16Speaker 2: I see myself in 10, 20 years.
- 12:19Speaker 1: In 10 years, what do you be? Like 40?
- 12:25Speaker 2: In 10 years, I'll be fucking... I'll be 36, thank you.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, shit.
- 12:30Speaker 2: No, in like 10, 20 years, I predict myself... Socially,
- 12:34Speaker 2: I don't think I'm changing much. Genuinely, I really don't
- 12:37Speaker 2: think I'm changing much. I reckon I have close tight-knit group.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Like there's a couple... So there's you... Um, I could
- 12:46Speaker 2: put more effort in with like two more friends from
- 12:48Speaker 2: our friend group. Right. That's, that's like a me thing.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I can a hundred percent put more effort in, sorry,
- 12:52Speaker 2: more effort in. And then Justin that we know, my
- 12:56Speaker 2: new friend that I met like a year and a
- 12:57Speaker 2: bit ago, whatever from Sydney. And then our new friend,
- 13:00Speaker 2: Luke Bates, it's the only people I reckon, unless I
- 13:02Speaker 2: meet more.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm going to actually, I'm going to
- 13:06Speaker 2: an event on my own without you, but I've chosen,
- 13:08Speaker 2: I'm choosing the one that Luke Bateman's at.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 13:10Speaker 2: True. Bad news. We're invited to the ACOTAR book release
- 13:13Speaker 2: in Brisbane. Um, But Audie won't be here.
- 13:17Speaker 1: But also, like, props to you for going by yourself.
- 13:20Speaker 2: But I haven't. I've got Luke, man.
- 13:22Speaker 1: You've got Luke, but also, like, it's an event. People
- 13:24Speaker 1: are going to come up to you. Like, you reckon? 100%
- 13:26Speaker 1: they will. We have a book club about ACOTAR. Yeah,
- 13:28Speaker 1: people know who you are. Like, it's not like you're
- 13:30Speaker 1: going out to a trivia night by yourself.
- 13:32Speaker 2: True, yeah. The good thing about this event is imagine
- 13:36Speaker 2: going to a trivia night by yourself. and you just
- 13:38Speaker 2: join a team.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Imagine you go wait bro that's the start of my
- 13:42Speaker 1: horror story imagine you go.
- 13:42Speaker 2: To a trivia night by yourself you join a team
- 13:45Speaker 2: but then you just get all the answers right and
- 13:47Speaker 2: they're just like hyping you the fuck up the whole.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Night but funnily enough we'll get back to uh the
- 13:52Speaker 1: event i was i'm going to bali soon and i
- 13:55Speaker 1: was gone asleep thinking about i really want to play
- 13:58Speaker 1: they have jungle paddle over there yeah which is like
- 14:00Speaker 1: pickleball oh i'm.
- 14:01Speaker 2: So keen for paddle to be a thing in australia
- 14:03Speaker 2: and um It is, kind of. Kind of. They're just
- 14:05Speaker 2: not as popular as Barley.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Yeah, they're just everywhere. And I can't play. I actually
- 14:09Speaker 1: physically can't play with my girlfriend because she can't hit
- 14:11Speaker 1: the ball back. Sorry, Cassie.
- 14:12Speaker 2: I have unfortunately witnessed this.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Last time she went, she was dealing with some tummy issues,
- 14:16Speaker 1: but we had to cry and we had to leave.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Wait what we or she she what was she crying
- 14:23Speaker 4: yeah she was having tummy issues and then like it
- 14:25Speaker 4: was hot and she was flustered and then like being
- 14:28Speaker 4: bad at something that you want to be good at
- 14:29Speaker 4: yeah yeah.
- 14:30Speaker 1: You're just like and i think she was playing because
- 14:32Speaker 1: i was keen to play like she couldn't hit it
- 14:33Speaker 1: back really um anyway i was going to sleep the
- 14:36Speaker 1: other night i was thinking fuck you can go on
- 14:39Speaker 1: the apps and like book a spot yeah like a
- 14:42Speaker 1: like a quarter four i was like i could do
- 14:44Speaker 1: that And then I'm like, I'm not going to do that.
- 14:46Speaker 1: You could though. You can verse someone. You can choose
- 14:49Speaker 1: who to verse. Yeah.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Someone at your skill level.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Like you could choose beginner, beginner. Like intermediate or whatever.
- 14:54Speaker 1: And then like, I was like, oh, I could go
- 14:55Speaker 1: do this and like have some growth and people all
- 14:57Speaker 1: about getting uncomfortable. And I'm like, I'm just not going
- 14:59Speaker 1: to do it. Yeah.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Shit, bro. It would just be so embarrassing if you
- 15:04Speaker 2: went and you're like, yeah, just being real keen to
- 15:06Speaker 2: play paddle. And then you verse someone that was just
- 15:09Speaker 2: so much better than you.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:11Speaker 2: And it's just like, well, I know it's boring for
- 15:12Speaker 2: you because it's boring for me.
- 15:14Speaker 1: True, I didn't think of that.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Like winning like crazy fucking.
- 15:16Speaker 1: It's just.
- 15:17Speaker 2: We got invited to a paddle event in Sydney.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Yeah, we were both away on holiday. That would have
- 15:21Speaker 1: been fun.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Oi. We would have fucking aced that shit up. Inspired
- 15:24Speaker 2: Unemployed was there. If you and I went as duos, honestly,
- 15:27Speaker 2: I reckon we would have done alright.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I reckon we would have. Because we fucking.
- 15:30Speaker 2: When we verse each other, we can have the craziest rallies.
- 15:33Speaker 2: I reckon we would have actually done alright. We could
- 15:35Speaker 2: have played against like... It sucks that we weren't here.
- 15:38Speaker 2: But we could have played against like the Inspired Unemployed.
- 15:40Speaker 2: And you know, in off-campus, the... The guy that she's
- 15:46Speaker 2: got a crush on. What's her name?
- 15:48Speaker 1: Wellesley? Hannah? Welles? Yeah.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Wellesley. So Hannah has a crush on that guy and
- 15:53Speaker 2: Josh Houston plays him.
- 15:54Speaker 1: He was there. Yeah. He's Australian. He's Australian. He was playing.
- 15:57Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 15:57Speaker 1: You know, he... So the book I was in, the
- 16:00Speaker 1: audio book. Yeah. What was it called? Full Throttle.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I was a voice actor. That's being a live adaptation
- 16:08Speaker 1: and he's the main actor. I'm still waiting for the call.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I was going to say, you should get, you should say,
- 16:13Speaker 1: do you need a bartender?
- 16:14Speaker 2: Cause that's my actual voice.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Like, yeah. Do you need a bartender?
- 16:20Speaker 2: When they do adaptations, I, do you reckon, I've always
- 16:25Speaker 2: thought when you do an adaptation of a book and
- 16:29Speaker 2: you do a movie, they obviously have to cut so
- 16:34Speaker 2: much shit out to make it. So it's like, you can,
- 16:36Speaker 2: actually make a movie that's within an hour and a
- 16:38Speaker 2: half or whatever why aren't they just doing tv shows
- 16:41Speaker 2: like they do with game of.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Thrones is it too expensive oh actually yeah it probably
- 16:44Speaker 1: makes a lot of sense probably but still like movies
- 16:47Speaker 1: these days are like three hours i actually want to
- 16:49Speaker 1: start getting into going to the movies more i really
- 16:51Speaker 1: feel like it's such a good activity and like just
- 16:53Speaker 1: don't do it the new brad pitt movies out that
- 16:55Speaker 1: looks heaps good we got invited to that premiere oh
- 16:58Speaker 1: yeah i know we also got invited to but it's
- 17:00Speaker 1: like out here just saying, we got invited to this,
- 17:03Speaker 1: we got invited to this, and we just don't go
- 17:05Speaker 1: to any of them. No, we don't.
- 17:06Speaker 2: We're fucked.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I think about going. That's it.
- 17:09Speaker 2: But we'd have to go alone to a lot of them.
- 17:11Speaker 1: True.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Because we live far away.
- 17:12Speaker 1: We were actually here for the– no, that was Verity,
- 17:16Speaker 1: I think. That's on tomorrow in Sydney. Really? Did we
- 17:20Speaker 1: get invited? Yeah, we did. Oh, my God.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I remember when we first started doing the pod. And
- 17:28Speaker 2: you'd see all these people go into movie premieres. And
- 17:31Speaker 2: I thought to myself, can't wait till we start getting
- 17:33Speaker 2: invited to movie premieres. It just seems so sick. We'll
- 17:35Speaker 2: definitely go to those. And we just don't.
- 17:37Speaker 1: We went to the Willy Wonka one.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Well, that was a shit movie.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that was bad. But it's also like... We went
- 17:42Speaker 1: to the Mission Impossible one. That was pretty good.
- 17:45Speaker 2: That was actually cool.
- 17:46Speaker 1: That was good. I don't know. It's just like.
- 17:50Speaker 1: We should just be labeled as full-on introverts. And I
- 17:54Speaker 1: like to own that. Although we have a platform and
- 17:57Speaker 1: although we have followers, listeners, everything, it's amazing. But also,
- 18:00Speaker 1: at the end of the day, we're still ourselves. I'm
- 18:03Speaker 1: not that person who's going to go in front of
- 18:04Speaker 1: a camera and be like, yo, guys, take photos of me.
- 18:06Speaker 1: I fucking love this shit, dude.
- 18:08Speaker 2: That's a good point. That's a really good point.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I'm never going to love that.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Never going to love that. Never going to love red carpets.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Never going to love a street interview or the little
- 18:19Speaker 2: interviews that they do. Because it's all very, I don't know,
- 18:23Speaker 2: what's the right word for it?
- 18:24Speaker 4: Egotistical.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Egotistical.
- 18:25Speaker 2: It's like egotistical, but it's also, it's just, it's, I
- 18:29Speaker 2: don't think vain is the right word. Like if you're vain,
- 18:32Speaker 2: it means I think highly of myself or something. It's more,
- 18:34Speaker 2: it just kind of feels, I guess, empty.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 1: It's, it's funny too though, because like, I think you
- 18:41Speaker 1: definitely need a level of confidence or false confidence to
- 18:44Speaker 1: get through life too. And finding that balance between being
- 18:46Speaker 1: too confident and then also confident enough in yourself where
- 18:50Speaker 1: you can like go around life. You know when someone
- 18:51Speaker 1: walks past and you go, that guy or that girl
- 18:53Speaker 1: looks like she's confident but then someone else walks past
- 18:56Speaker 1: and you go, fuck that guy. You know what I mean?
- 18:59Speaker 1: That exact like difference.
- 19:00Speaker 2: You know the guy that, he's like the calorie guy.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:05Speaker 2: And he films like just on the street with Maccas next.
- 19:08Speaker 1: To like Christmas greens. He's like bald and stuff. Yeah.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I just don't, I think props to that guy for
- 19:16Speaker 2: doing what he's doing. Sending a good message and he's
- 19:18Speaker 2: like trying to promote being healthy he promotes his app
- 19:21Speaker 2: or whatever he's got like a calorie counting app or
- 19:23Speaker 2: whatever right he's doing he does it for money of
- 19:25Speaker 2: course yeah i just think if i was somewhere and
- 19:30Speaker 2: i see him doing the intros to his to his
- 19:33Speaker 2: videos i'd it'd piss.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Me off oh fucking piss me off no it takes
- 19:39Speaker 1: a certain type of person and like a lot of
- 19:41Speaker 1: people think that too about us like Because we're so
- 19:44Speaker 1: extroverted on the pod. Like, fuck yeah, you guys waste
- 19:46Speaker 1: that shit but no we won't yeah we.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Could never do that extroverted sometimes it's like are we
- 19:52Speaker 2: just fucking rude or are we just like so.
- 19:55Speaker 1: We try and like act like that like like an
- 19:58Speaker 1: extroverted like full of themselves confident person for a moment
- 20:01Speaker 1: how do you even let me interview street interview let's.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Do it yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah okay what's it
- 20:05Speaker 2: about are you gonna make up what it's about.
- 20:07Speaker 1: You're going to the new Brad Pitt film yeah You're
- 20:09Speaker 1: on the red carpet by yourself. I couldn't make it.
- 20:11Speaker 1: And I'm an interviewer. Fucking... No.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Like, genuinely, my biggest fear... is this exact scenario. Like
- 20:21Speaker 2: I've gone, why am I there first?
- 20:24Speaker 1: Why am I there?
- 20:25Speaker 2: I don't even know if I can act like this,
- 20:26Speaker 2: but okay, all right, here I go. I've done the
- 20:27Speaker 2: red carpet.
- 20:28Speaker 1: The way it works is like- You're not being yourself, okay?
- 20:30Speaker 2: The way it works is like you go red carpet,
- 20:31Speaker 2: they snap a few pics, they don't know who you are.
- 20:33Speaker 2: They're like, look this way, look this way. It'd be
- 20:35Speaker 2: sick if they, because you know, have you ever seen
- 20:36Speaker 2: videos where it's like actually Brad Pitt and then like
- 20:38Speaker 2: all the paparazzi are like, Brad, Brad, Brad. I want
- 20:40Speaker 2: to be like, Jake, Jake, Jake.
- 20:43Speaker 1: All right, here we go.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Fuck, okay, I've just done the red carpet.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:46Speaker 2: And I've come up straight into your eye. You hit
- 20:48Speaker 2: me up.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Excuse me, sir. Could you come over here for a
- 20:50Speaker 1: quick interview? Yeah, yeah.
- 20:52Speaker 2: What's this about?
- 20:53Speaker 1: Just about the movie. Firstly, who are you and why
- 20:56Speaker 1: did you get invited? Jake Craig.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Got a podcast.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Oh, what's the podcast about?
- 21:00Speaker 2: Podcast is about, we like to do it with a friend,
- 21:04Speaker 2: but he's not here at the moment, but We like
- 21:07Speaker 2: to talk about just masculinity, the way that it's just
- 21:11Speaker 2: getting left behind. And we truly try to get these
- 21:13Speaker 2: young guys to just be looking more into their masculinity.
- 21:15Speaker 2: We sell a course to start businesses and get jacked
- 21:20Speaker 2: and have six packs.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I don't know about the podcast, but the course, I'll
- 21:25Speaker 1: have to check it out. That's everything I'm all about.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Mate, actually, for real.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Yeah. 500 bucks a week.
- 21:28Speaker 2: 500.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Goes for six months. Wow. But think about this. What? Return.
- 21:34Speaker 2: ROI.
- 21:34Speaker 1: ROI.
- 21:35Speaker 2: We're all about ROI on this. We have 10 studies done, right?
- 21:40Speaker 2: We've done hundreds, but we have 10 individual cases of
- 21:45Speaker 2: these people have left with not only a six pack,
- 21:48Speaker 2: but they have also left by making their money back.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Oh, interesting. Do you mind showing the six pack you've got?
- 21:56Speaker 2: Maybe not today because I'm in a suit with my
- 21:58Speaker 2: shirt tucked in. That'd be annoying to untuck and tuck
- 22:00Speaker 2: back in.
- 22:01Speaker 1: But, mate.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Check out my Instagram, jakecraig, with two e's on Instagram.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I'll be sure to follow that up.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I can't even do this. I don't even know what
- 22:11Speaker 2: to do to be cocky.
- 22:12Speaker 1: That was good. I feel like, but it also came
- 22:14Speaker 1: across as like, you believed in it. Like, that's what
- 22:17Speaker 1: you want. I just don't even know how.
- 22:23Speaker 2: To do it.
- 22:25Speaker 1: It's something we got to practice for sure. Fuck, bro.
- 22:28Speaker 2: You know what else we should practice?
- 22:30Speaker 3: What?
- 22:30Speaker 2: Is we don't have nicknames for each other.
- 22:33Speaker 1: I mean, daddy.
- 22:34Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Nicknames.
- 22:35Speaker 2: So, like, I call you Otty. You call me Jake.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:39Speaker 2: It's kind of boring, no? True.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe. Like, your real name's Otway.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Yeah. And everyone calls you Otty.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:48Speaker 2: But I don't call you Otway.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I call you JC, Jake Craig.
- 22:51Speaker 2: My name is, my name, let's try my name first. Okay.
- 22:55Speaker 1: What could a nickname for me be? JC.
- 22:58Speaker 2: JC.
- 22:58Speaker 1: JC. Jakey sounds like you're 12, so I can't say that. Yeah,
- 23:01Speaker 1: only family members call me Jakey. JC, Jake, what's up?
- 23:04Speaker 1: You used to get called Dingle.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Dingle?
- 23:07Speaker 1: Because you had dingleberries. You made that up. That was
- 23:11Speaker 1: your name in one of our group chats.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Dingle.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 23:15Speaker 1: That's literally, you just made that up. No, I didn't.
- 23:18Speaker 1: You just made that up. I swear on my life.
- 23:21Speaker 2: There is not a group chat out there where my
- 23:23Speaker 2: name on the group chat is Dingle.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Yes, it is. I'm dead. What are you talking about?
- 23:29Speaker 1: Maybe it's one of those ones here because you're the
- 23:31Speaker 1: one sending the messages. You don't see it, but everyone
- 23:35Speaker 1: else does. That's just not how it works.
- 23:37Speaker 2: I would remember if I had a nickname of Dingle.
- 23:39Speaker 2: My nickname, you're just fucking making it up.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I'm not. How would I think of that that quickly?
- 23:45Speaker 2: The only thing I can think of is that the
- 23:50Speaker 2: only person I can think of that would have been
- 23:52Speaker 2: called Dingle is Jack.
- 23:53Speaker 1: No, it was 100% you. I'm not known for dingleberries.
- 23:57Speaker 2: I'll admit I have a few chia seeds popping out
- 23:59Speaker 2: here and there because I've been having a lot of
- 24:00Speaker 2: chia seeds lately. But fully undigested chia seeds coming out.
- 24:05Speaker 2: But I cannot remember for the life of me being
- 24:07Speaker 2: called Dingle.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I swear if we went through one of our old...
- 24:11Speaker 1: It's because we don't have friends anymore. I can't find
- 24:12Speaker 1: it because we don't talk in these group chats. But
- 24:15Speaker 1: on one of our messenger chats, your name 100% swear
- 24:19Speaker 1: on my life was named Dingle. That's full bullshit. It's
- 24:23Speaker 1: Craig's or Craigie. You want to lock that in? No,
- 24:25Speaker 1: I don't want Dingle to be locked in, bro. Bro,
- 24:28Speaker 1: you came to me saying these names.
- 24:30Speaker 2: I don't even have a nickname anymore. Dingle.
- 24:33Speaker 1: It's not fucking Dingle. No one's going to call me Dingle.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Comment below if you want Dingle to stick. I mean,
- 24:40Speaker 1: no pun intended. Dingles do stick. Yeah. People might not
- 24:44Speaker 1: like clock what it means, but it's like Jingle, Dingle.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Dingle. Yeah. Dude, where are you getting this, eh? Who
- 24:51Speaker 2: the fuck was called Dingle? Because it wasn't me.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Yeah, 100%. I would remember that. You must have trauma
- 24:57Speaker 1: dumped that shit out of your mind.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Suppressed it. Compressed it deep down.
- 25:02Speaker 1: We got you. What's me? What did I call you?
- 25:06Speaker 2: I'm trying to think. It would feel so weird calling
- 25:09Speaker 2: you anything other than Oddy or bro. Yeah.
- 25:13Speaker 1: You've been picking up a lot of broskies and bro lately.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I'll hit a bit of broski.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Yeah. But it needs to be like individual to me.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Our manager calls you Ott.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I get that a bit. Ott.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Ott.
- 25:29Speaker 1: So, so. What about Hottie? Hottie? Yeah.
- 25:33Speaker 2: What about not? What about, okay, so we've got Oddie.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Dingle and, what's good? We're a duo, so like Dingle and. Oddie. Oddy, nah.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Loddy, nah. Goddy, nah.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Potty? Nah. Goddy. Snotty. Snotty, snotty, oddy. Snotty, oddy. Nah.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Could be like... It doesn't have to be like... It
- 26:04Speaker 1: doesn't have to be a two-year name. The boys called
- 26:07Speaker 1: me Fetus. Remember that?
- 26:10Speaker 2: Yeah. What was that?
- 26:11Speaker 1: No, it was Cletus. No, it was Fetus.
- 26:13Speaker 2: What was Fetus for?
- 26:14Speaker 1: And then Cletus came from Fetus. Because on a night out... No,
- 26:17Speaker 1: not a night out. We had a house party.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Hmm.
- 26:18Speaker 1: And I went and took a piss. Yeah. And then
- 26:21Speaker 1: it was raining and I came back and my mouth
- 26:24Speaker 1: was all bloody and it looked like I had eaten
- 26:26Speaker 1: a baby.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Oh, my God, yes.
- 26:27Speaker 1: But what happened was I took a piss and then
- 26:29Speaker 1: I turned around and then I fell over and, like,
- 26:32Speaker 1: my teeth bit my lips. And I didn't know it
- 26:35Speaker 1: was bleeding because it was pitch black outside. I actually
- 26:36Speaker 1: have a photo, I think, of you with just, like,
- 26:39Speaker 1: kind of blood. You look like a vampire. Yeah.
- 26:41Speaker 2: You look like a vampire that's, like, trying to hide
- 26:43Speaker 2: the fact that he just... went and just sucked someone's
- 26:47Speaker 2: blood and left a dead body behind the house and
- 26:50Speaker 2: you're just chilling there. You're like this, you're like, you're
- 26:52Speaker 2: smiling and you're kind of like, I.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Swear I didn't do anything. I was that drunk. I
- 26:58Speaker 1: couldn't feel a thing. And then I came back and
- 26:59Speaker 1: everyone was like, look at me like, fuck, what happened
- 27:00Speaker 1: to you? I was like, fuck, I don't know. You
- 27:03Speaker 1: tell me. Well, no, I don't even know what to
- 27:08Speaker 1: call you.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I reckon.
- 27:10Speaker 1: What about baddies? Comment below what our nicknames could be.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I feel like Dingle might stick and then something for me.
- 27:15Speaker 1: What are things you do?
- 27:17Speaker 2: You leave the toilet seat up?
- 27:19Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Seat boy.
- 27:20Speaker 2: You eat with your mouth open?
- 27:22Speaker 1: Yeah. Cassie's had a few goes at me at that recently. Really?
- 27:26Speaker 2: It was actually funny because Beth, she notices it and
- 27:30Speaker 2: she says, when I'm with you, I eat with my
- 27:33Speaker 2: mouth open when I'm with you.
- 27:35Speaker 1: We mirror each other. Oh, yeah.
- 27:37Speaker 2: And then she said most recent time you were there, though,
- 27:40Speaker 2: that I wasn't bad, but you were bad. And she's like,
- 27:44Speaker 2: I can't even. She said, like, it's funny.
- 27:47Speaker 1: But.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Because she said something once or something like that. And
- 27:51Speaker 2: you were just like, oh, yeah. And then you still
- 27:53Speaker 2: eat with your mouth open.
- 27:55Speaker 1: You fuck... It's like you can't get the food down
- 27:57Speaker 1: quick enough. Yeah, that's what I've been told. Because I
- 28:00Speaker 1: just don't clock it, eh? Like, because... You clearly didn't grow.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Up with sisters because.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Nah. Bro.
- 28:06Speaker 2: My fucking sister.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Even my brother's worse than me.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I actually said to Beth, I said... The only thing
- 28:11Speaker 2: I can think, it's like, look, I'm not going to
- 28:15Speaker 2: defend someone for eating with their mouth open. But I
- 28:19Speaker 2: do know that his brother used to eat rice so
- 28:22Speaker 2: fast that he would vomit after he ate rice. For
- 28:25Speaker 2: some reason, he couldn't get the rice down quick enough.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Yeah, that happened. It's funny though, too, because if I'm in,
- 28:31Speaker 1: because that's a relaxed setting. I don't think about it
- 28:33Speaker 1: and I eat with my mouth open. But if I
- 28:34Speaker 1: went and had a family dinner with your family, I'd
- 28:36Speaker 1: eat with my mouth closed.
- 28:37Speaker 2: You reckon?
- 28:38Speaker 1: Yeah, 100% I would. Really? Yeah, 100%. 100%? Did you
- 28:40Speaker 1: actually think you would? Yeah, 100% I would. Because of
- 28:43Speaker 1: the setting.
- 28:43Speaker 2: But so Cassie says stuff to you. She has like lately.
- 28:48Speaker 1: She'll throw me with like, Pookie, I love you so much.
- 28:52Speaker 1: She gets like sensory overload too. So it's bad. When
- 28:54Speaker 1: the dog like licks his paws or whatever, she like
- 28:59Speaker 1: gets wigged out. She's like, Pookie, I love you so much,
- 29:01Speaker 1: but eat with your mouth closed. That's so funny because.
- 29:06Speaker 2: If I do, like Beth, she doesn't even say to me,
- 29:12Speaker 2: she doesn't even say like, I love you, but please
- 29:14Speaker 2: eat with your mouth closed. She'll straight up just be like,
- 29:18Speaker 2: she'll just be like, you need to fucking leave. Or
- 29:21Speaker 2: she'll be like, I can't eat next to you. She's like,
- 29:24Speaker 2: I can't.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I think Cassie does that too because I get awkward
- 29:27Speaker 1: and I can't help it. Like if someone like criticizes
- 29:29Speaker 1: me or like says, even though I know I'm in
- 29:30Speaker 1: the wrong. Like I just like physically can't just be like,
- 29:33Speaker 1: oh yeah, no worries. And then I'm like, are you like,
- 29:37Speaker 1: Are you offended? No, I'm not offended, but like the
- 29:39Speaker 1: way like if you said to me, so let's just
- 29:42Speaker 1: say we're eating and I'm like, Odi, can you keep
- 29:44Speaker 1: your mouth closed? I'm like, oh yeah, sure. Like that's
- 29:49Speaker 1: what I say. That's good.
- 29:50Speaker 2: I feel that's fine.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Oh, okay. I feel like that's fine. I feel awkward.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Because you, I feel like at the same time, you're
- 29:56Speaker 2: kind of thinking, well, I didn't know I was doing it.
- 30:01Speaker 2: And then you're thinking, this is just what I do.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I can, like, understand a mindset.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Yeah. But, fuck, maybe you're slightly offended. I don't know.
- 30:10Speaker 1: And I don't mean it wrong. Like, I can admit that.
- 30:11Speaker 1: But sometimes, especially when, like, I'm loving a meal, I
- 30:15Speaker 1: get locked in. Yeah. And, like, I don't think about
- 30:17Speaker 1: anything else. And I'm just loving it. Yeah.
- 30:19Speaker 2: And you bring your face to the meal. I do
- 30:20Speaker 2: the same thing if I'm loving a meal.
- 30:21Speaker 1: It takes me away.
- 30:23Speaker 2: If I really am, like, hoofing down a GYG or something.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:27Speaker 2: And I'm just like, you know it's a good meal
- 30:29Speaker 2: if you're with people and you're not talking to them.
- 30:31Speaker 2: eating but I'll do the same I'll do this where
- 30:32Speaker 2: I go down and my dad used to get real
- 30:35Speaker 2: into me and being like Jake you just you need
- 30:37Speaker 2: to bring the food to you don't bring yourself to
- 30:41Speaker 2: the food.
- 30:41Speaker 1: How I say this though like imagine this is the
- 30:43Speaker 1: exact equivalent like your girl's about to have an orgasm
- 30:49Speaker 1: and she starts making a lot of noise because she's
- 30:51Speaker 1: enjoying it so much that's the equivalent of me bringing
- 30:54Speaker 1: it close and eating my mouth but I don't think
- 30:55Speaker 1: that's not the equivalent and then she's about to come
- 30:59Speaker 1: and then you go Babe, shut up. That is not
- 31:06Speaker 1: the equivalent. That is not the same. That is not
- 31:10Speaker 1: anywhere near the same. My body gets taken over by
- 31:12Speaker 1: the meal.
- 31:13Speaker 2: But there's not manners in the bedroom.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Technically there is.
- 31:16Speaker 2: What are bedroom manners? If we're talking about sex.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Consent.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Well, that's great.
- 31:21Speaker 1: That's a really good answer. And then past that. Man,
- 31:25Speaker 1: it probably like, I feel like you just know the
- 31:27Speaker 1: line with the person you're having sex with. Like I'm
- 31:30Speaker 1: not going to spit on her and shit.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Unless you can, unless you're just like, oh, down there maybe,
- 31:35Speaker 2: not like. Okay. Crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy. But I was like,
- 31:39Speaker 2: you ever been, we're getting in depth here, but have
- 31:44Speaker 2: you ever like been told to like, you know, slap
- 31:46Speaker 2: my ass? Have you ever slapped ass and then they're
- 31:51Speaker 2: like harder? And I'm like, Isn't that kind of.
- 31:55Speaker 1: But isn't that kind of fucking hard? Not really with...
- 31:57Speaker 1: I'm not much of a slapper and doggy. Yeah. But
- 32:00Speaker 1: like I've got that choking. They're harder.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Oh!
- 32:04Speaker 1: And then... Bit of a headlock in there, mate. Because
- 32:06Speaker 1: I think... Well, I think I'm... Because I just put
- 32:08Speaker 1: my hand around their neck or whatever. Yeah. And then
- 32:10Speaker 1: I'm like, this must be good. But they're obviously like harder.
- 32:12Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't want to hurt you. I'll crush
- 32:16Speaker 1: your fucking windpipe. But I could understand the bum cheeks.
- 32:18Speaker 1: There's so much cushion there.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Yeah, true. Also, there's like a thing where apparently... I
- 32:23Speaker 2: don't know if this is a women-only thing, but I've
- 32:25Speaker 2: definitely heard this somewhere. And the pain of, say, getting
- 32:32Speaker 2: slapped on the ass or even choked, if they're into that, it,
- 32:37Speaker 2: for some reason, adds to the pleasure of sex, which
- 32:42Speaker 2: is really crazy, is it not?
- 32:44Speaker 1: Is that why people like bondage and that? Because doesn't
- 32:46Speaker 1: that hurt? I think, yeah.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Sometimes people like to really incorporate actual pleasure pain.
- 32:51Speaker 1: But at what point like i could understand the little
- 32:53Speaker 1: cheeky slap here or like lost the oxygen there but
- 32:57Speaker 1: at what point does it get too far.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Bro what if fuck it can get i'm sure there's
- 33:03Speaker 2: there's things i wouldn't do like if beth said fucking
- 33:05Speaker 2: slap me in the face i'd just say no.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Yeah neither yeah that would take away from like my
- 33:10Speaker 1: enjoyment yeah i'm not doing that that's a good point
- 33:13Speaker 1: one thing i'm struggling with a little bit recently because
- 33:15Speaker 1: i moved in with my girlfriend We share a wall with, like,
- 33:18Speaker 1: her parents' side of the house.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. I was actually talking to Beth about this.
- 33:21Speaker 2: We've got to be quiet.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Yeah. And, like, it does take away from it.
- 33:24Speaker 2: And actually, let me just say something. I have shared
- 33:26Speaker 2: a villa with you and Cassie. These motherfuckers ain't quiet. Also,
- 33:30Speaker 2: if it was Oddie's way, the whole house would be shaking.
- 33:33Speaker 2: He's a fucking rabbit, bro.
- 33:35Speaker 1: He's a fucking rabbit. I'm telling you. I forgot about that.
- 33:41Speaker 1: I'm telling you. We stayed in a fucking villa where,
- 33:43Speaker 1: for some reason... I was downstairs and Odie was upstairs.
- 33:46Speaker 2: And for some reason, the upstairs wasn't like cemented into stuff.
- 33:50Speaker 2: It's like they built the villa and then thought, oh,
- 33:52Speaker 2: we'll build a mezzanine.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:53Speaker 2: So the mezzanine was just like this freestanding floor and
- 33:56Speaker 2: it was braced.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Yes.
- 33:57Speaker 2: But this fucking thing shook. And I was like, wait,
- 34:01Speaker 2: are we about to fucking experience a tsunami because there's
- 34:04Speaker 2: an earthquake?
- 34:06Speaker 1: Funnily enough, exact same villa. Granted, I was sick. I
- 34:10Speaker 1: went to sleep one night. In this mezzanine. Yeah. And
- 34:13Speaker 1: then I woke up the next morning. Jake had some
- 34:15Speaker 1: sus smile on his face. What are you talking about?
- 34:19Speaker 1: And Jake had a girl over.
- 34:22Speaker 2: I've never had sex before that.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Literally, never. I can cut it if you want. Had
- 34:27Speaker 1: a girl over. Slept with her. Made love with her.
- 34:30Speaker 1: She left. I had absolutely no idea. Exactly. Slept through
- 34:34Speaker 1: the whole thing.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Because I'm a respectful. That's where manners come in with sex.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Because I'm a respectful, silent lover when I know my
- 34:39Speaker 2: friend is sick and sleeping.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Me on the other hand i'm fucking shaking nothing to
- 34:45Speaker 1: do with the fact that i lasted 30 seconds absolutely
- 34:48Speaker 1: nothing but the difference is to you like i don't
- 34:52Speaker 1: care but like bevy that's cassie's parents fuck.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Oh they're gonna care if they hear their daughter getting
- 34:57Speaker 2: fucking railed in the room next door of course.
- 34:59Speaker 1: No i care oh you i don't want them to hear.
- 35:02Speaker 2: That well that's valid and that's respectful yeah but is
- 35:07Speaker 2: there a part of you that thinks like you know,
- 35:10Speaker 2: I'm now the man of the house.
- 35:12Speaker 1: But also I don't know what they're going to hear too,
- 35:14Speaker 1: because like, I don't know if like we're on the
- 35:16Speaker 1: second story. Did the bed like make a bit of movement?
- 35:18Speaker 2: And like you guys used to come here more.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Yeah. We broke out. I broke out my last bed.
- 35:25Speaker 2: This guy, I'm telling you.
- 35:26Speaker 1: I snapped this guy. The bed before our koala one.
- 35:29Speaker 1: What did you fucking do? I snapped it.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Did you run from this room into there and fucking
- 35:32Speaker 2: just like, you know, slot the needle?
- 35:35Speaker 1: Thread the needle? When you know what you're doing in
- 35:38Speaker 1: the bedroom, Jake. You guys got a rhythm going. Shit happens. Yeah,
- 35:41Speaker 1: the rhythm. Yeah. When you get in that rhythm though,
- 35:44Speaker 1: like it's uncomparable.
- 35:46Speaker 2: So at the moment though, you guys just have to
- 35:47Speaker 2: make sweet, sweet, silent love.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Sex is still great, but yeah, I can't get into
- 35:51Speaker 1: that same rhythm because I can't get into my.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Usual- You know what sucks is here- Oh my God.
- 35:55Speaker 2: How long did you guys live together before you went
- 35:56Speaker 2: to Europe?
- 35:58Speaker 1: March till, I don't know.
- 35:59Speaker 2: So it's a couple months, right?
- 36:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:01Speaker 2: So you had a couple months of like getting into
- 36:04Speaker 2: the practice, I guess, of keeping it nice and silent.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Right. And then you go to Europe and you're like,
- 36:11Speaker 2: I don't know what Europe did to me. I was
- 36:12Speaker 2: a one pump chump. You go to Europe and you're like,
- 36:14Speaker 2: we can do what we fucking want here. That's sexy.
- 36:17Speaker 2: That's arousing. That's going to get you excited. That's why
- 36:20Speaker 2: you were finishing so quick.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Oh, good. I didn't know where you were going with that.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Because you can do what you want. Yeah, I was
- 36:24Speaker 1: thinking about it.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Because I think about it, right? And I'm like, you know,
- 36:29Speaker 2: every now and then it's kind of like you have
- 36:30Speaker 2: a bit of a session where you guys look each
- 36:32Speaker 2: other in the eye and you're like, yeah, let's do this.
- 36:33Speaker 2: We're not making love. We're going for it. As soon
- 36:36Speaker 2: as that happens, I'm like, oh, fuck, I can't do it.
- 36:38Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I'll just come.
- 36:40Speaker 1: True.
- 36:41Speaker 2: It gets me excited.
- 36:41Speaker 1: To be fair, I did have that mindset too where
- 36:43Speaker 1: I was like maybe thinking about sex a fair bit more.
- 36:45Speaker 1: You probably were.
- 36:46Speaker 2: You were probably thinking this trip's going to be hectic.
- 36:47Speaker 1: And then I couldn't do any of it.
- 36:49Speaker 2: There's nothing holding us back.
- 36:49Speaker 1: So what I need to do is not think about
- 36:51Speaker 1: sex and then just be caught off guard. Just running naked.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Let's do it. It's a bit of a hard one.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Just running naked. It's a bit of a hard one,
- 36:59Speaker 1: isn't it? You have to just almost... Oh, I might...
- 37:03Speaker 1: If Bali's quite like... You're in bikinis alone, Bali. I'm
- 37:06Speaker 1: checking Cassie out a fair bit. I'm thinking about it
- 37:07Speaker 1: a fair bit too.
- 37:08Speaker 3: I don't even.
- 37:09Speaker 1: I need to go somewhere like the snow. I don't
- 37:10Speaker 1: know what you're going to be able to do.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 37:13Speaker 1: But also like the one pump chumpiness hasn't... It's got
- 37:15Speaker 1: a little bit better, but it still hasn't.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Like two pump slump? You're in a bit of a
- 37:20Speaker 2: two-pump slump at the moment.
- 37:21Speaker 1: I've just got to slow down. You're in a bit
- 37:22Speaker 1: of a... I'm in a slump. Just a big slump.
- 37:25Speaker 2: You're just in a massive slump.
- 37:26Speaker 1: That could be my nickname, the slump.
- 37:27Speaker 2: You know, sometimes what's sexy, though, is you go in
- 37:30Speaker 2: and you go, fuck, I'm already going to come.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Take it out.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Just get the anticipation.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:37Speaker 2: A bit of anticipation.
- 37:38Speaker 1: That's exactly what I do. But it's also like I
- 37:40Speaker 1: want to please my partner. We have to get the
- 37:42Speaker 1: vibe right or whatever. Yeah. which i'm more than open
- 37:45Speaker 1: to yeah yeah you're happy to do that because you
- 37:47Speaker 1: can't perform yeah yeah yeah but it's i like to
- 37:49Speaker 1: get it because i want to get it not because
- 37:50Speaker 1: i have to yeah.
- 37:51Speaker 2: You're not like you're like oh how about we bring
- 37:53Speaker 2: the viper and she's kind of thinking like well.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Obviously all.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Right baddies welcome back to our new segment where we
- 38:09Speaker 2: talk about something nostalgic while eating something nostalgic.
- 38:13Speaker 1: And the best thing to eat, which is nostalgic. Ah,
- 38:16Speaker 1: our Krispy Kreme donuts.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Of course, can't wait. Very keen for this one.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Take your pick, my friend. I'm going to go with
- 38:22Speaker 1: my classic, my favorite. Pink sprinkle. Pink sprinkle. I think
- 38:26Speaker 1: I'm going to go original glazed. Original glazed. Ah, can't
- 38:30Speaker 1: go wrong, mate. Couldn't get more original than that. Can't
- 38:32Speaker 1: go wrong. I feel like when you go in the
- 38:34Speaker 1: shop too, you walk in, you smell the original glaze.
- 38:37Speaker 1: That's nostalgic. That is nostalgic. But today, Jake, going down
- 38:41Speaker 1: the nostalgic lane. We wanted to talk about the story
- 38:46Speaker 1: when you asked your girlfriend to be your girlfriend. Yeah. Exciting.
- 38:50Speaker 2: I liked the story with Beth because I matured and
- 38:56Speaker 2: I valued the way that I asked.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Okay.
- 38:59Speaker 2: I valued what it meant to me and her. Do
- 39:03Speaker 2: you want me to go first?
- 39:06Speaker 1: Please.
- 39:09Speaker 2: I kind of had matured and I kind of had
- 39:11Speaker 2: maybe not matured, right? It was like- It was maybe,
- 39:15Speaker 2: I don't know, a couple of months into seeing each other.
- 39:20Speaker 2: And I remember that we, I knew I was like, yeah,
- 39:25Speaker 2: I definitely want her to be my girlfriend.
- 39:27Speaker 1: I want to make it official.
- 39:28Speaker 2: And I was talking to my sister at the time
- 39:29Speaker 2: and I was like, going to see Beth on the
- 39:31Speaker 2: weekend and I was talking to Joanna and she said,
- 39:33Speaker 2: will you do it? And I was like, I want
- 39:35Speaker 2: to do it, but I kind of feel like maybe
- 39:37Speaker 2: is it too soon? And she's like, well, if you
- 39:38Speaker 2: want to do it, why not just do it? And
- 39:40Speaker 2: so I was like, well, fuck it. I'll do it
- 39:41Speaker 2: this weekend when I see her.
- 39:43Speaker 1: So fuck it. So props to Joanna, bro. Yeah. Sometimes
- 39:46Speaker 1: you do need a hype man there though.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Props to Joanna. Um, What I did, so we had
- 39:53Speaker 2: a date. I was like, yeah, I'll plan a proper
- 39:55Speaker 2: date for it then. So I might've even had this planned.
- 39:59Speaker 2: What I did with Joanna before, this was when Taylor
- 40:01Speaker 2: Swift was coming to the country. Everyone was making friendship
- 40:04Speaker 2: bracelets because that's what everyone does at Taylor Swift's Eros
- 40:06Speaker 2: tour concerts. And so I made a bracelet. Joanna had
- 40:09Speaker 2: bracelet stuff and I made a bracelet that said like
- 40:13Speaker 2: girlfriend on it. And so I kept it in my
- 40:15Speaker 2: pocket the whole time I was with Beth. So we
- 40:18Speaker 2: go out, we have dinner, we go for a walk
- 40:20Speaker 2: at like, sydney botanical gardens over where the opera house
- 40:23Speaker 2: is and then we're like next to the opera house
- 40:24Speaker 2: and we're looking over the water and then i i
- 40:27Speaker 2: just like asked her to be my girlfriend and i
- 40:29Speaker 2: was a little bit i think i might have like
- 40:32Speaker 2: babied out a little bit because what i was gonna
- 40:33Speaker 2: do was like i thought.
- 40:34Speaker 1: You did that i thought i thought you.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Had i'm sure i've told this story before and now
- 40:39Speaker 2: it's a long time ago but i definitely either i
- 40:41Speaker 2: gave her the bracelet and her her reading it was
- 40:44Speaker 2: me asking because i think i put a question mark.
- 40:45Speaker 1: At the end yeah or i am Asked her then gave.
- 40:49Speaker 2: It to her. Or I asked her and then gave
- 40:50Speaker 2: it to her. But I'm pretty sure I gave it
- 40:52Speaker 2: to her. I might have enough to ask Beth. You
- 40:53Speaker 2: told me you gave it to her. If I told
- 40:55Speaker 2: you that, then that's what I did. Because I would
- 40:57Speaker 2: have told you when I just done it. You made
- 40:58Speaker 2: a bracelet that said, will you be my girlfriend? And
- 41:00Speaker 2: then you handed it to her. And then I think
- 41:02Speaker 2: you asked her and she said, yeah. I feel like
- 41:03Speaker 2: that's what.
- 41:03Speaker 1: You told me. Yeah. Anyway. Good story.
- 41:05Speaker 2: It was cute.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 41:07Speaker 2: I've got selfies on my phone from the exact moment still.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I remember we were going through the phase as well,
- 41:11Speaker 1: like about, like you said, we learned from our past
- 41:14Speaker 1: relationships and a lot of men just go like, Oh,
- 41:17Speaker 1: I guess we've been seeing each other for six months.
- 41:19Speaker 1: I guess we're together now. Which we hated. I've done that.
- 41:21Speaker 1: So we wanted to put effort in.
- 41:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I've done that.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Sucked.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Thinking back on it sucks. What's yours?
- 41:29Speaker 1: I know yours and I helped you with this, but
- 41:31Speaker 1: go on. So Cassie's favorite flavor Krispy Kreme donut is
- 41:37Speaker 1: the pink strawberry. So I put them on the ground
- 41:41Speaker 1: and it read, will you be my GF?
- 41:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:43Speaker 1: And she said, no, I'm kidding. Kind of though. Not
- 41:46Speaker 1: far off. As everyone knows, Bali has a special place
- 41:49Speaker 1: in my heart. We were in Bali and Cassie flew
- 41:53Speaker 1: over to see me. Me and Jake had gone on
- 41:57Speaker 1: a six-week hiatus, grinding the pod and just experiencing Bali.
- 42:02Speaker 1: And Cassie came and met me over there. And we
- 42:04Speaker 1: started falling in love, literally. And prior to her coming,
- 42:08Speaker 1: I had planned to ask her when I got back
- 42:09Speaker 1: to Australia. We had a camping trip planned and I
- 42:11Speaker 1: was going to ask her then. But I was too
- 42:13Speaker 1: head over heels for her. So I was like, fuck it.
- 42:15Speaker 1: I'm just going to do it here in Bali. It's romantic.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Like good place to do it.
- 42:18Speaker 1: It's perfect. We had a trip to a bud, which
- 42:20Speaker 1: is like the middle of Bali. Very like nature-esque and
- 42:24Speaker 1: relaxed vibes. Cassie was actually sick. I didn't know the
- 42:28Speaker 1: extent of how sick she was because I think me
- 42:30Speaker 1: and Jake went there a few days early. And I
- 42:34Speaker 1: said to Jake, go do your own thing. I need her.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Do this. And Jake, this is the first time we
- 42:37Speaker 1: had time apart. Wait, no, you, I was fine, bro.
- 42:41Speaker 2: We were at a villa and then you were like, oh,
- 42:43Speaker 2: Cassie's going to come see us. And then you and
- 42:46Speaker 2: I were talking, you were like, I'm going to ask
- 42:47Speaker 2: him to be my girlfriend. And then you said, how
- 42:48Speaker 2: should I do it? And then you were like, I'll
- 42:51Speaker 2: get us, I'll get me and Cassie another villa. And then,
- 42:53Speaker 2: cause like our villa, we were done there. Right. And
- 42:56Speaker 2: so then I booked another little single villa for myself.
- 42:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:59Speaker 1: And then you had booked your own villa.
- 43:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:01Speaker 1: And then you were like, how should I do it?
- 43:02Speaker 2: How should I do it? And then we just planned,
- 43:04Speaker 2: we made the plan.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Yeah. And then, so I thought I booked this really,
- 43:07Speaker 1: really nice villa ended up being shit, but it didn't
- 43:09Speaker 1: really matter. And Cassie was sick. She rode her bike there.
- 43:12Speaker 1: It was like an hour drive. And before she got there,
- 43:15Speaker 1: I got there early and I found a flower shop
- 43:18Speaker 1: and bought all rose petals. And I went into the
- 43:21Speaker 1: spare bedroom, like the not as good one and wrote
- 43:23Speaker 1: on the ground, will you be my GF in rose petals?
- 43:26Speaker 1: And then Cassie gets there, she's all sick and flustered.
- 43:29Speaker 1: And then it was really funny. I was like, oh,
- 43:31Speaker 1: just like relax, maybe have a shower. And like I
- 43:34Speaker 1: wanted her to be like ready for it. She's a
- 43:35Speaker 1: bit flustered. And then first thing she said is like,
- 43:37Speaker 1: let me see both rooms. So I can pick which
- 43:40Speaker 1: room we want. And I was like, oh, okay. Are
- 43:42Speaker 1: you like, okay. Sure. So she checked out the first
- 43:45Speaker 1: one and shows, oh, what about the other one? And
- 43:46Speaker 1: I was like, go for your life. Opens the door.
- 43:49Speaker 1: She's like looking up at the room like this. And
- 43:51Speaker 1: then she just looks down. Took her like solid 30
- 43:53Speaker 1: seconds to look down. Really? And she goes. Turned around
- 43:56Speaker 1: and like jumped on me.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 44:00Speaker 1: And I was like, yes.
- 44:02Speaker 2: I remember, I think maybe you had the idea and
- 44:06Speaker 2: then you were kind of like, but should.
- 44:08Speaker 1: I do that? Like, is that cringe? Is that this?
- 44:11Speaker 1: And I remember being like, who fucking cares?
- 44:12Speaker 2: That's hectic.
- 44:13Speaker 1: The story's good. I'm glad I did. And my biggest
- 44:17Speaker 1: regret is I had a Polaroid there and we took
- 44:19Speaker 1: heaps of photos after it. Like of the photos of
- 44:22Speaker 1: the flowers on the ground and us. We left the
- 44:24Speaker 1: fucking Polaroid there. Because the Airbnb ended up being shit
- 44:28Speaker 1: because there's a construction site next door. So there's like
- 44:30Speaker 1: ciggies everywhere. And it was channels like, let's be romantic.
- 44:32Speaker 1: And we booked like a five-star resort. Yeah. And we
- 44:34Speaker 1: left the Polaroid and we didn't realize until after we
- 44:36Speaker 1: left the boot. And we're like, fuck. So someone's got
- 44:38Speaker 1: some romantic pictures of me and Cassie.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Dude, can you imagine someone finds that? The reason I
- 44:44Speaker 2: think no one's found it is because or whoever found
- 44:47Speaker 2: it tracked it out. But anyway, so the reason why
- 44:49Speaker 2: if someone found that.
- 44:51Speaker 1: I know what I would do. I get it developed, right? No,
- 44:54Speaker 1: the Polaroid develops it as you go.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Anyway, you look at the developed photos, you see this
- 44:58Speaker 2: is a literal moment of someone, of a couple being formed. Yeah.
- 45:02Speaker 1: All right.
- 45:02Speaker 2: I'd be posting that shit on everywhere saying, help me
- 45:05Speaker 2: find these people because I need to send them these photos.
- 45:07Speaker 2: They need these photos.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Probably like the cleaners.
- 45:10Speaker 2: They would have just chuck, chuck, chuck.
- 45:11Speaker 1: They wouldn't even look at it. Chuck, chuck, chuck. Probably
- 45:13Speaker 1: happens all the time.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Yeah. But anyway, so guys, we highly recommend maybe do
- 45:19Speaker 2: it with your girlfriend or boyfriend. Do it with your friends.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Talk about When you got asked, when you did the asking,
- 45:25Speaker 2: grab a box of Krispy Kremes and just share stories.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Jake, my friend, I have a little bit of a
- 45:30Speaker 1: bone to pick with you. Hell yeah.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Fuck, what is it?
- 45:33Speaker 1: So I actually want to know first if you're in
- 45:37Speaker 1: the wrong or not. You could get out of this scot-free.
- 45:40Speaker 1: So about three weeks ago, maybe, maybe a month ago,
- 45:43Speaker 1: you bought me a lovely birthday present. Oh, go on.
- 45:47Speaker 1: A pair of Oakley sunnies, which I love very much.
- 45:50Speaker 1: They're great. And on the podcast, you said, quote, I'll
- 45:53Speaker 1: transfer you them for the other half so you don't
- 45:57Speaker 1: pay for your own birthday present. I'll do it right now.
- 46:00Speaker 2: I actually haven't done it, have I?
- 46:02Speaker 1: So I'm going through our tax return the other day.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Going through the tax return and then I see this
- 46:06Speaker 1: thing and I'm like, hmm. I'm like, what could this be?
- 46:10Speaker 1: And I think, was it $ 180? It was like $ 187. Yeah, $ 187.
- 46:13Speaker 1: And I looked it up and it was some Gold
- 46:16Speaker 1: Coast like jewelry shop. And I was like, this motherfucker,
- 46:18Speaker 1: this is 100% where he bought my sunglasses from. Here
- 46:23Speaker 1: we go. Here's your birthday present.
- 46:27Speaker 2: I'm a shocker.
- 46:28Speaker 1: This motherfucker forgot. Not that I care, but I was
- 46:31Speaker 1: also like, you're a dog, eh?
- 46:34Speaker 2: Well, that is pretty dog of me, actually, because you
- 46:36Speaker 2: had to bring it up. That's dog ass.
- 46:38Speaker 1: I didn't care about the money. I cared about the
- 46:40Speaker 1: action of it. Yeah.
- 46:43Speaker 2: What's bad is that I said I'll do it, and
- 46:44Speaker 2: I didn't do it. I should have done it because
- 46:46Speaker 2: I didn't want to.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Once again, it comes back down to admin.
- 46:49Speaker 2: That's a good point. It's crossed my mind a couple
- 46:52Speaker 2: of times, but I wasn't near my phone.
- 46:54Speaker 1: It's even worse.
- 46:56Speaker 2: It's crossed my mind a few times, but I wasn't
- 46:57Speaker 2: near my phone and it's in the situation of being like, oh,
- 46:59Speaker 2: I'll do it later.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Yeah. Like I'll remember to do that.
- 47:01Speaker 2: I haven't remembered.
- 47:03Speaker 1: Well, I have a funny story actually. Yeah.
- 47:05Speaker 2: So Darcy, right? Poor little Darcy.
- 47:11Speaker 1: Jake's sausage dog.
- 47:11Speaker 2: My sausage dog. Yeah. She's got a little patella issue
- 47:14Speaker 2: on her back legs. Super common, right? We were told
- 47:16Speaker 2: if you look at your knuckles... where the dog's, where
- 47:19Speaker 2: Dachshund's patellas sit is just like in a knuckle type thing.
- 47:22Speaker 2: It's like, it looks like that. Sometimes, you know, maybe
- 47:25Speaker 2: a bit of backyard breeding here and there, bad genetics.
- 47:28Speaker 2: It's a very shallow little knuckle and the patella will
- 47:32Speaker 2: slip out. It's called luxating patella. So she has that.
- 47:35Speaker 1: And every now and then it kind of gives her
- 47:36Speaker 1: a little bunny hop.
- 47:37Speaker 2: And so we've got exercises we do with her because
- 47:39Speaker 2: it can lead to maybe issues with her back, which
- 47:41Speaker 2: is what we don't want. And so the other day
- 47:44Speaker 2: I take her for a walk. I have a video
- 47:46Speaker 2: of it actually. And she's walking and like, Her legs
- 47:49Speaker 2: are sort of, she'll be walking totally normal. And then
- 47:52Speaker 2: her legs were like collapsing. And it's almost like what
- 47:56Speaker 2: I thought, right, was like, oh, her little patellas are like,
- 47:59Speaker 2: they're stuck out. And so it wigs her out a bit.
- 48:03Speaker 2: And then they pop back in and she walks normal
- 48:04Speaker 2: again for a bit.
- 48:06Speaker 1: So I film it.
- 48:07Speaker 2: And then I get her into the vet that day.
- 48:10Speaker 2: They take a look and they're looking at it. And
- 48:12Speaker 2: so they say like, yeah, you know, Luxania patella is
- 48:15Speaker 2: like probably grade one. can go up to a grade four,
- 48:18Speaker 2: grade one, you know? So it's not that, it doesn't
- 48:20Speaker 2: feel that bad.
- 48:21Speaker 1: And so then.
- 48:23Speaker 2: We drive to Sydney and we stop at Buller Dealer.
- 48:27Speaker 2: And there's a grass patch at Buller Dealer and we
- 48:30Speaker 2: get her out, put her on the grass and she's like,
- 48:33Speaker 2: she doesn't even walk normally at all. She's just collapsing
- 48:36Speaker 2: in the back legs, like wigging out, right? And I'm like, oh,
- 48:38Speaker 2: I felt so bad.
- 48:39Speaker 1: I was like, no, no, no, no, no.
- 48:40Speaker 2: I was like, fuck, we're going to have to get
- 48:41Speaker 2: her into a vet in Sydney now. We have to
- 48:43Speaker 2: just say to them, look, this is like a bigger issue.
- 48:45Speaker 2: And so then Beth and I are trying to film
- 48:47Speaker 2: it And we're walking on, we just, like, walk over onto, like,
- 48:51Speaker 2: this paved area. We're going to get this, like, just
- 48:53Speaker 2: so she can walk straight back and forth and get
- 48:55Speaker 2: a good view of her legs. Just walks normal the
- 48:57Speaker 2: whole time. Just walking normal, walking normal. And we're like,
- 48:59Speaker 2: what the fuck is going on? Because we were wigging out, right?
- 49:02Speaker 2: And so then we look over and the grass at
- 49:06Speaker 2: Bula Dila, it's just bindis. It's just bindis on bindis
- 49:11Speaker 2: on bindis. And so I'm wigging out and I'm going, oh,
- 49:14Speaker 2: maybe she's just, like, getting the bindies on. She's not
- 49:16Speaker 2: liking the bindies. And then I was like- This diva.
- 49:19Speaker 2: And then I was like, wait, let's go watch the
- 49:22Speaker 2: video that I got of her.
- 49:23Speaker 1: You're kidding.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Let's go watch the video I got of her doing
- 49:25Speaker 2: it because it was only the day prior. I said
- 49:28Speaker 2: to Beth, let's go watch the video I got of
- 49:29Speaker 2: her yesterday for the reason we took her to the vet.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Just lo and behold, she's walking on a patch of
- 49:35Speaker 2: bindies in that too, bro.
- 49:37Speaker 1: No. How much was the vet? I don't know. Is
- 49:41Speaker 1: it your insurance cover? Yeah.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Okay.
- 49:43Speaker 1: Well, that's good.
- 49:43Speaker 2: So here's the thing, but it's like, they actually did
- 49:46Speaker 2: say at the vet, they, they didn't, they didn't say bindies,
- 49:50Speaker 2: but what they said, the vet was like, she actually
- 49:52Speaker 2: does have a lactate patella. So it's something that, Oh,
- 49:54Speaker 2: they found that out. So they were like, she actually
- 49:57Speaker 2: does have it.
- 49:57Speaker 1: You need to go on some sausage dog forums and
- 49:59Speaker 1: be like, guys, if, if your dog's got a lactate patella,
- 50:03Speaker 1: check for bindies. Check for bindies.
- 50:04Speaker 2: If they start ranting, cause it was wigging me out.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Cause I'm like, okay, why can she just run around
- 50:08Speaker 2: with Henry or willy nilly and be fine?
- 50:10Speaker 1: And I'm on a walk, right?
- 50:12Speaker 2: On a low impact exercise because like Darcy, if anyone
- 50:15Speaker 2: has a sausage dog, it's obviously good to let them
- 50:17Speaker 2: do things and have fun. But it's also quite important
- 50:20Speaker 2: that you give them good rest days where it's like
- 50:22Speaker 2: you do some very low impact stuff so they can
- 50:25Speaker 2: rest properly and get like fully recovered. So I was like, yeah,
- 50:29Speaker 2: I'm going to do it to take her for a walk.
- 50:30Speaker 2: We never just walk them or not Henry at least,
- 50:33Speaker 2: Darcy does. And so she's just like walking, legs are
- 50:36Speaker 2: collapsing and I was wigging out. I felt so bad.
- 50:39Speaker 2: It's just fucking walking on bindis, bro. She's just a
- 50:41Speaker 2: wuss with the bindis.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Funny, though. This has been wigging me out recently, though. So,
- 50:44Speaker 1: you took her to a vet.
- 50:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Probably, in this case, maybe has a luxating patella. Yeah.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Or it's something in the future you should watch out for. Yeah.
- 50:51Speaker 1: But also, that vet is a business.
- 50:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:54Speaker 1: They need to find something wrong with your dog so
- 50:56Speaker 1: you can keep paying them.
- 50:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:58Speaker 1: And.
- 50:59Speaker 2: Yeah, our vets, I found that they're not like that.
- 51:01Speaker 1: They're not, yeah. So, that's why I said it might
- 51:03Speaker 1: not be. So, recently, I went to the dentist. Ah.
- 51:06Speaker 1: I had, in Europe, something was wrong with the bottom
- 51:07Speaker 1: of my gum. Mm-hmm. And I couldn't get into my
- 51:10Speaker 1: usual dentist. He was booked out for like six weeks.
- 51:11Speaker 1: So I went to some randy one in Erina, 15
- 51:13Speaker 1: minutes away from where we live. I go in there
- 51:16Speaker 1: and I've got the start of gum disease. I need
- 51:20Speaker 1: three wisdom teeth removed. I need three fillings. And then
- 51:26Speaker 1: also I need a mouth guard to sleep with for
- 51:29Speaker 1: grinding my teeth.
- 51:30Speaker 2: And then I'm like, what's going on with you?
- 51:34Speaker 1: And then this is my point. And I'm like, oh, fuck.
- 51:38Speaker 1: I was like, It's been like a year and a
- 51:40Speaker 1: half since I've been to the dentist. In the scheme
- 51:41Speaker 1: of dentists, not that long. And then I was like,
- 51:44Speaker 1: all right, one thing at a time. At the time,
- 51:47Speaker 1: I was like, fuck, this is overwhelming. Let's get the
- 51:48Speaker 1: fillings done, fix my gums, and then we'll talk about
- 51:50Speaker 1: wisdom teeth. And then I went away and walked in
- 51:52Speaker 1: and I thought about it. I was like, fucking, I
- 51:55Speaker 1: feel like it was good. But I was like, I
- 51:56Speaker 1: feel like he just wanted my money too. I think so.
- 51:59Speaker 1: They are a business. And then he straight up went,
- 52:01Speaker 1: so fillings $ 380, wisdom teeth $ 3, 000, la, la, la, la, la.
- 52:04Speaker 1: And then I was like, I went back in there.
- 52:06Speaker 1: I canceled my fillings. I said, let's just do one
- 52:09Speaker 1: thing at a time. Got my gums sorted. And after
- 52:12Speaker 1: one week of this mouthwash, my gums went from the
- 52:14Speaker 1: start of gum disease to being completely fine. Really? Like healing? Yeah.
- 52:18Speaker 1: Because at the end of it, I said, oh, should
- 52:21Speaker 1: you see me in like a couple of weeks or
- 52:22Speaker 1: a month to make sure it's all good? He goes, oh, no,
- 52:24Speaker 1: I'm confident it's fine now. So he knew that it
- 52:26Speaker 1: would work. And then I was like. And I was like,
- 52:28Speaker 1: fucking what? And I was stressing out too. I thought
- 52:31Speaker 1: I was going to lose some teeth. Yeah. And then
- 52:34Speaker 1: I go, so what's the scheme on these fillings? I
- 52:36Speaker 1: was like, what's the go? And he goes, oh, yeah,
- 52:38Speaker 1: I'd probably get them done. I was like, give me
- 52:40Speaker 1: a time frame. How long have I got? They're expensive,
- 52:42Speaker 1: like $ 380 a filling. That's fucked up. And he goes,
- 52:45Speaker 1: they'll just sooner rather than later. You probably need them done.
- 52:47Speaker 1: I was like, well, you're not fucking telling me anything.
- 52:50Speaker 2: I'm sus on dentists, though.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:52Speaker 2: So sus on dentists.
- 52:53Speaker 1: And my old dentist or my– The usual one I
- 52:55Speaker 1: couldn't get into can get my feelings cheaper. So I'm
- 52:57Speaker 1: going to go there anyway. I'm going to get a
- 52:59Speaker 1: second opinion. But I walked away. I was like stressing
- 53:01Speaker 1: for fucking a week about my gums. And now it's
- 53:04Speaker 1: fine apparently. And you like... The only thing that you
- 53:07Speaker 1: don't do.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Is floss, right?
- 53:08Speaker 1: He said my... You can tell by the way I brush.
- 53:10Speaker 1: I'm really good at brushing. It's just that my gums
- 53:12Speaker 1: aren't great. And then I've let them degrade over time.
- 53:15Speaker 1: Like there probably was a bit of disease then. I
- 53:17Speaker 1: should have gone in sooner. But it's not from flossing.
- 53:19Speaker 2: It's just like.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Poor gum hygiene. Because I don't floss. No, you really should, man.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Avoid this. Really? Yeah. Do you floss? No, I do now.
- 53:29Speaker 1: I just said you don't. I do now. I do now.
- 53:31Speaker 1: I had braces as a kid. I used to have
- 53:33Speaker 1: a buck teeth. So I have a bar behind my teeth.
- 53:35Speaker 1: So it's really hard to floss. And I use that
- 53:37Speaker 1: as an excuse not to.
- 53:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:38Speaker 1: So I've got to get the little fucking little flossy thing.
- 53:41Speaker 1: like the little color thing, and then also the one
- 53:43Speaker 1: that goes in the teeth. And now I'm going to
- 53:44Speaker 1: get my water flosses underneath the sink here.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Yeah, start using that again.
- 53:47Speaker 1: And that gets, apparently it's not scientifically proven, but it's 80% good.
- 53:51Speaker 1: I was like, 80%, I'll take this.
- 53:52Speaker 2: 80% is better than not doing it at all, isn't it?
- 53:54Speaker 1: Yeah. But then I was also, but I was like,
- 53:56Speaker 1: at the end of the day, like, it's a business.
- 53:58Speaker 1: And then it's also not covered by like Medicare. So
- 54:01Speaker 1: they obviously want your money.
- 54:03Speaker 2: So you should have said, listen here, cunt. He said, hey,
- 54:05Speaker 2: listen here, you cunt. I'm not fucking paying for that.
- 54:08Speaker 2: But you have a duty of care to fix my mouth.
- 54:11Speaker 1: He was really nice. No, they don't have to do that,
- 54:13Speaker 1: do they? But also, why does every single dentist you
- 54:15Speaker 1: go in... I can understand why people are scared of dentists.
- 54:17Speaker 1: I'm not scared a single bit. But you go in
- 54:20Speaker 1: there and it's like... It's invasive. It's 30 minutes. It's
- 54:24Speaker 1: so fucking quick. They're stabbing you, doing everything. And then
- 54:26Speaker 1: they go like, he.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Paid me $ 1, 000.
- 54:28Speaker 1: I was like, that was half an hour, dude.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Actually yeah where's the money come from also okay one
- 54:33Speaker 2: thing i'll say about canada that's pretty good is they
- 54:38Speaker 2: don't have private health care every all health care is
- 54:42Speaker 2: free and it's all um public really all health care
- 54:47Speaker 2: is free in public even dentists everything wow you don't
- 54:50Speaker 2: pay for anything and no you don't pay for unless
- 54:53Speaker 2: it's like a cosmetic of choice type surgery type like
- 54:55Speaker 2: but you know wisdom teeth you wouldn't pay to get
- 54:57Speaker 2: them removed you need surgery for anything you don't pay
- 54:59Speaker 2: for getting it removed blah blah blah.
- 55:01Speaker 1: Why does everyone rave on about australia.
- 55:02Speaker 2: When that's so much better than ours because in australia
- 55:06Speaker 2: you you can go and get private health insurance and
- 55:11Speaker 2: go to a private hospital for more i guess private
- 55:14Speaker 2: care are babies free over there yeah oh really yeah
- 55:17Speaker 2: yeah yeah.
- 55:18Speaker 1: I've never understood that america you have a baby in
- 55:20Speaker 1: like 60 000 it's like 10 to 30 grand yeah
- 55:21Speaker 1: it's insane but um.
- 55:25Speaker 2: So yeah, it's all free. There's pros and cons because
- 55:31Speaker 2: the waiting lists for stuff get very long and people
- 55:36Speaker 2: that can afford private healthcare are like, well, I want
- 55:38Speaker 2: private healthcare, which then would free up space for the
- 55:41Speaker 2: people that can't afford private healthcare. So it frees up
- 55:43Speaker 2: space in the public system and then it's a bit
- 55:45Speaker 2: quicker in the public system. But then at the same time,
- 55:47Speaker 2: it gives like, my mum was saying, it shows what
- 55:51Speaker 2: it will do is it will create sort of a
- 55:53Speaker 2: tier system. And then all the really good doctors that
- 55:55Speaker 2: they'll get paid more at private healthcare. So all the
- 55:57Speaker 2: doctors in the public healthcare system. And so I was like,
- 56:00Speaker 2: look in Australia, I got to say, it's not something
- 56:03Speaker 2: I would, I think Australia has done it well. I
- 56:06Speaker 2: think it's worth having. But I guess, you know, all
- 56:09Speaker 2: the good doctors are going to go where the money is. True.
- 56:11Speaker 1: I wouldn't.
- 56:12Speaker 2: Yeah. So then it's like, just because you can't afford it,
- 56:15Speaker 2: you're not getting access to the best doctors. So it does,
- 56:19Speaker 2: I can see how it creates sort of a tier
- 56:21Speaker 2: system or a wealth disparity or blah, blah, Just I
- 56:24Speaker 2: don't even have private health insurance anyway.
- 56:26Speaker 1: You don't know if you'll get it? I don't have
- 56:27Speaker 1: it now. Oh, yeah. I'm lucky enough to be on
- 56:30Speaker 1: my dad's one.
- 56:30Speaker 2: Yeah. My dad kicked me off.
- 56:32Speaker 1: But it covered $ 80 per filling. So it was $ 380
- 56:35Speaker 1: down to $ 300.
- 56:35Speaker 2: And then they're always kind of like trying to find
- 56:37Speaker 2: ways where they don't even cover it.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. I know. I remember when, because my dad
- 56:42Speaker 1: had his in remission prostate cancer.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:45Speaker 1: And he'd been on, I can't remember which one it was,
- 56:48Speaker 1: a private health care for like 25 years or some shit. Yeah.
- 56:52Speaker 1: And then he needed to get chemo, and they were
- 56:54Speaker 1: trying to weasel their way out of, like, helping with that.
- 56:57Speaker 1: And he was like.
- 56:58Speaker 2: Why pay for it?
- 56:59Speaker 1: He went through this whole rigmarole of, like, trying to...
- 57:01Speaker 1: And I was like, that's not what you need when
- 57:02Speaker 1: you're going through this type of shit.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Cancer's not a fucking predisposed condition. Yeah, there's all these
- 57:07Speaker 2: terms and conditions, like, oh, if it's a big thing,
- 57:10Speaker 2: we'll pay 30%, but if it's a small one, we'll
- 57:12Speaker 2: pay 80%.
- 57:13Speaker 1: And you're like, well, fuck, everything's big, mate.
- 57:15Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 57:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Just fucking.
- 57:18Speaker 2: They make a lot of money, eh?
- 57:20Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, that's the hard thing about, like, I don't know,
- 57:23Speaker 1: just life. Everything at the end of the day, a business.
- 57:25Speaker 1: Everyone turns up to work because they've got to make
- 57:26Speaker 1: money and everyone has a business to make money. Money
- 57:29Speaker 1: makes the world go round.
- 57:30Speaker 2: Fucking 100%, eh?
- 57:32Speaker 1: Which is why, like, a part of me wants to
- 57:34Speaker 1: start doing things just because, like, don't get me wrong,
- 57:37Speaker 1: there's definitely heaps of good people out there, good doctors
- 57:39Speaker 1: who are helping the people in need and going to, like,
- 57:41Speaker 1: third world countries and doing all that. Like, I always
- 57:43Speaker 1: see those videos on YouTube of, like, people, like, getting
- 57:46Speaker 1: eyesight back to.
- 57:48Speaker 2: That's cool, eh?
- 57:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's, like, a $ 20... That would feel good. Yeah, thing.
- 57:52Speaker 1: And they're like the really good people. Yeah. Like you
- 57:54Speaker 1: appreciate that. But I guess in normal society, I would
- 57:57Speaker 1: say like it's just a weird thing to wrap your
- 57:58Speaker 1: head around. It is weird. It is very weird.
- 58:01Speaker 2: Should we call Batty? Yeah, let's do it.
- 58:03Speaker 1: So if you want to sign off the episode, the
- 58:05Speaker 1: link will be in the description. Jake, today, who are
- 58:09Speaker 1: we going to call? Riani.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Hello.
- 58:11Speaker 4: Hello.
- 58:11Speaker 2: Is this Riani? Yes. Riani, it's Jake and Lottie from
- 58:14Speaker 2: the Relatable's podcast.
- 58:15Speaker 1: How are you? Yeah, include yourself. Very, very good. I've
- 58:19Speaker 1: got Audie with me.
- 58:19Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 58:20Speaker 1: What the hell? Cool name. Hey, I like it.
- 58:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it is cool.
- 58:25Speaker 1: What the hell? Do you get Riri? We were talking
- 58:27Speaker 1: about nicknames before. What do you get? Yeah, Riri all
- 58:31Speaker 1: the time.
- 58:31Speaker 4: That's like my nickname.
- 58:32Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 58:33Speaker 2: Where are you, Riri? Currently at home.
- 58:37Speaker 1: Oh, nice.
- 58:37Speaker 2: Nice. I'm a little shocked right now.
- 58:40Speaker 1: You're a little bit shocked? That's all right.
- 58:43Speaker 3: It's sad.
- 58:43Speaker 1: Do you know why we're calling?
- 58:46Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 58:47Speaker 2: We are.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Calling to ask you. Do you know who we are?
- 58:52Speaker 2: Yes. We're calling to ask if you can sign off
- 58:56Speaker 2: the episode for us. Yes, go.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Yes.
- 59:01Speaker 2: So, obviously, I don't know, if you've listened to episodes recently,
- 59:05Speaker 2: you can give anything, a quote, you can give a joke,
- 59:07Speaker 2: you can give a riddle. It's totally up to you.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 59:10Speaker 2: I'm just too shocked at the moment.
- 59:14Speaker 1: Hey, it's all good.
- 59:15Speaker 2: Take your time.
- 59:17Speaker 1: If you wanted to, you could pick nicknames for Jake
- 59:20Speaker 1: and Oddie, just off our names. Oh, that's tough. If
- 59:22Speaker 1: anything came to your mind. Oh, I've got no jokes
- 59:26Speaker 1: at the moment.
- 59:27Speaker 2: All riddles.
- 59:27Speaker 4: I've got nothing.
- 59:28Speaker 1: That's all right. Have you got anything you live by? Yeah.
- 59:31Speaker 1: Any motto you like look in the mirror?
- 59:34Speaker 2: I normally live by a motto called expect nothing, appreciate everything.
- 59:37Speaker 1: I like that.
- 59:39Speaker 2: That's another good one.
- 59:40Speaker 1: That's just a good mindset.
- 59:40Speaker 2: Yeah. That's a good one last week and I like
- 59:43Speaker 2: that one as well. Yeah.
- 59:44Speaker 1: Well, thank you very much, Riri. Thank you.
- 59:46Speaker 2: You're welcome.
- 59:46Speaker 1: Thank you for this talk. Have a wonderful day. See you.
- 59:52Speaker 2: You too.
- 59:53Speaker 3: Bye.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Must have forgotten she signed up.
- 59:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 59:56Speaker 1: That's so funny. I was thinking, you don't know why.
- 59:59Speaker 1: The form is to sign off the episode.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: That's the only thing.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: To be fair, we don't know when she did that.
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fair.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Could have been eight weeks ago. That's a good point.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you for listening.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: We love you. Stay bad.
