- 0:00Speaker 1: I just looked and you had this babe, this new boy,
- 0:03Speaker 1: baby boy. I was shocked. And then now just today
- 0:05Speaker 1: you're telling me that same kid as four. There's just
- 0:08Speaker 1: no way, isn't it wild?
- 0:10Speaker 2: I know it feels like it was just yesterday, but uh,
- 0:12Speaker 2: briggsy boy. He turned four today and it's been a
- 0:16Speaker 2: big week. He started back into preschool on Tuesday over
- 0:19Speaker 2: at Peace Academy, which is awesome.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Now, how's he handling the adjustment because his sister, Sidney
- 0:24Speaker 1: is now in kindergarten at a different school, right, yeah.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Pretty good. I think it's all starting to be comfortable.
- 0:30Speaker 4: You know.
- 0:30Speaker 3: I think at first he was a little like, oh
- 0:32Speaker 3: I miss her, But.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I'm sure he's got this boys at pre school. Oh,
- 0:35Speaker 1: you know, he's got his friends.
- 0:36Speaker 2: But on Tuesday, when we asked what he wanted to be,
- 0:40Speaker 2: you know the original back to school photo, and he said,
- 0:44Speaker 2: I want to be a real police officer.
- 0:46Speaker 1: That's not one of these dancing police officers, a real
- 0:50Speaker 1: police officer.
- 0:51Speaker 2: So I had posted that and I had a guy
- 0:54Speaker 2: named Greg who reached out to me from the Farga
- 0:56Speaker 2: Police Department the next day and he said, your little
- 1:00Speaker 2: boy is about to turn four, and we would love
- 1:02Speaker 2: to give him this awesome experience to come over and
- 1:06Speaker 2: meet the Fargo Police, do a little tour of it,
- 1:10Speaker 2: see the police cars where it all goes down, all
- 1:13Speaker 2: of that, and I couldn't believe it.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I'm like, that would be incredible. How kind of Greg,
- 1:19Speaker 1: Greg the officer to reach out like that. I mean,
- 1:21Speaker 1: and you see it a lot the police officers so
- 1:24Speaker 1: great about that, like just getting involved in the community.
- 1:26Speaker 4: But what a cool did he love it? Yeah?
- 1:29Speaker 2: So we ended up actually on Wednesday popping over there
- 1:32Speaker 2: surprising him after school. And he has a police officer
- 1:36Speaker 2: outfit he wears all the time. If you follow me
- 1:37Speaker 2: on social media, it's kind of his go to. He'll
- 1:40Speaker 2: just toss it on. He's got the cuffs, the mace,
- 1:42Speaker 2: all of that. He's got the police hat. So he
- 1:44Speaker 2: wanted to bring donuts to the police officers as well,
- 1:49Speaker 2: which was just hilarious. What they have to say about that.
- 1:52Speaker 2: They gave it a giggle, They definitely gave But he
- 1:57Speaker 2: showed up and had his full uniform on. He did
- 2:00Speaker 2: get a little timid. We brought along his sister, Sid
- 2:02Speaker 2: and she was really like she put on the police
- 2:06Speaker 2: outfit and stuff that they wanted him to.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Oh, she was just more into it. He got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: little nervous, which as you should be. These are his heroes,
- 2:14Speaker 1: of course, and you.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Forget like you're so excited about something and then you
- 2:19Speaker 2: get to that moment and you go, oh, boy, I
- 2:21Speaker 2: know what do I do here?
- 2:22Speaker 1: And I'm sure that's the battle with kids a lot
- 2:24Speaker 1: of the time, things that you think they're just going
- 2:26Speaker 1: to go nuts, and then of course they get shy
- 2:28Speaker 1: or they get nervous.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Very timid. He has not stopped talking about it since.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Ah, he was there, just everything is I got to
- 2:35Speaker 2: do this, and I got to do that. But huge
- 2:38Speaker 2: shout out to the Fargo Police Department for giving our
- 2:40Speaker 2: kid that opportunity.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Hard to beat that after four years old. But it
- 2:44Speaker 3: was just it was really sweet.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:46Speaker 1: So well here, let's see we can top it. How
- 2:48Speaker 1: about a little telephone call for the boy's birthday from you?
- 2:52Speaker 4: From me?
- 2:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, god, I actually have Nick, your husband on
- 2:55Speaker 1: the phone. He's going to be the middle man here.
- 2:56Speaker 1: But good morning, Nick, Hey, good morning. As much as
- 2:59Speaker 1: we like you, and I think Amanda maybe more than
- 3:01Speaker 1: me even, we'd like to speak to the birthday boy.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Do you have him.
- 3:05Speaker 5: Ye.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Yeah, she's singing Navy Birthday to Briggs.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I love that four you're four? Yeah, Briggs, you big boy.
- 3:19Speaker 1: That's happy birthday. Hey, Bud, that's a four year old time?
- 3:24Speaker 4: That is that?
- 3:26Speaker 3: Are you ready for the day?
- 3:27Speaker 1: Buddy?
- 3:33Speaker 3: He went poop two times in a row today. Well
- 3:35Speaker 3: that's nice. He's a big boy.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Now. Yeah, we call that the double decker, Bud rare
- 3:40Speaker 1: embrace it.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Hey, Briggsy, what do you want to do today?
- 3:43Speaker 4: Bud?
- 3:43Speaker 1: Whim?
- 3:45Speaker 3: You want to swim at the lake?
- 3:47Speaker 1: Okay, you guys going to the lake. I guess we're
- 3:49Speaker 1: going to the lake, Briggs. Bud, it's like a highest
- 3:51Speaker 1: sixty seven. You're sure you want to get in there?
- 3:53Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 3:53Speaker 4: Briggs, so you're four? Right?
- 3:57Speaker 3: I think when I'm getting here, you doesn't want to
- 3:58Speaker 3: talk to you?
- 3:59Speaker 4: What would you like me ask? What I want to do?
- 4:01Speaker 1: Like the Bill Cosby thing, like how ask how old
- 4:03Speaker 1: you are? How old do you think he is?
- 4:05Speaker 4: You are? Hey? Briggs?
- 4:06Speaker 3: How old do you think mom is?
- 4:08Speaker 1: Sixty? Run?
- 4:10Speaker 4: Fifty one fifty nine?
- 4:12Speaker 1: Good?
- 4:13Speaker 4: Zero zero zero five thousand?
- 4:16Speaker 1: Hey Briggs, did you like meeting the Fargo police officers? Yeah?
- 4:21Speaker 3: What was your favorite part?
- 4:23Speaker 1: In Turman's lights, turning on those lights you turn on
- 4:27Speaker 1: the cop car.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Uh huh? Did you arrest anybody?
- 4:30Speaker 1: Mom and Dad?
- 4:32Speaker 4: He did, We got arrested. Uh huh. If anyone deserves it,
- 4:38Speaker 4: he hunks the horn.
- 4:39Speaker 1: It was such a cool experience, Briggs, What do you
- 4:42Speaker 1: want to be when you grow up up? A firespiker?
- 4:46Speaker 6: Now?
- 4:49Speaker 4: Well, it sounds like he just wants to serve one
- 4:51Speaker 4: way or the other. What a guy.
- 4:52Speaker 1: That's amazing, Briggs. Happy birthday, but enjoy the day. Okay,
- 4:56Speaker 1: you're welcome, Bud.
- 4:57Speaker 3: I love you, love love you two.
- 5:00Speaker 4: But I love you two, Briggs. I love you, Nick,
- 5:07Speaker 4: have a good day. Bike it an in the morning,
- 5:09Speaker 4: Big Naty eight point seven.
- 5:11Speaker 3: No, Amanda stills the sea. Let's see it.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Well, everybody was looking last night to see.
- 5:18Speaker 3: If Taylor Swift had a ring on her finger.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Those close to them are really rooting for them, hoping
- 5:24Speaker 2: it's gonna happen soon. She did not have a ring
- 5:27Speaker 2: on her finger, but she definitely was having a good
- 5:29Speaker 2: time with Trav's parents.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I did not I did not watch the I mean
- 5:33Speaker 1: I followed along. I did not watch the TV broadcast.
- 5:35Speaker 1: How much did they show her? Quite a lot.
- 5:37Speaker 3: They showed her.
- 5:38Speaker 2: The first time I saw her was like the very
- 5:40Speaker 2: end of the first quarter, and then they panned to
- 5:42Speaker 2: her when Trav got his first and I think that
- 5:45Speaker 2: was when Trav actually got his.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Hands on the ball for the first time.
- 5:47Speaker 4: He didn't very off.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I played him in fantasy and I was pleased to
- 5:50Speaker 1: see he didn't have a great game.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it wasn't It wasn't his best. But he did
- 5:55Speaker 2: sit down for an interview by the way before the game,
- 5:58Speaker 2: and he was talking about being Tay's arm candy.
- 6:02Speaker 4: The life I chose. I guess I have fun with it.
- 6:05Speaker 4: He sounds gaggily and silly in this interview. I just well, and.
- 6:08Speaker 2: He's wearying because he is in a new commercial for
- 6:10Speaker 2: Pepsi with Megan thee Stallion and they have like body armor.
- 6:14Speaker 4: He's kind of like a gladiator.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Yeah, so through this whole interview he's dressed as a
- 6:18Speaker 2: gladiator and it's really hard to take him seriously. But
- 6:20Speaker 2: he also was talking about because you wonder his dad
- 6:23Speaker 2: has been pretty saucy on social media in regules to them. Yes,
- 6:28Speaker 2: they'll fire back. He's like, what you guys are trolls.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I mean, he does not hold back. He's kind of
- 6:33Speaker 2: nude to social media. Yeah, so listen to what he
- 6:36Speaker 2: had to say about his family handling the fame.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Everybody's loving it. Mama chaels Is, she's having so much fun.
- 6:42Speaker 5: I think my dad is slowly getting more comfortable with it.
- 6:46Speaker 1: And Jason has always been a pro ad it.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Dad's still just trying to figure it all out.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I can imagine. For Yeah, if somebody like that probably
- 6:53Speaker 1: hasn't read the mentions on Twitter too often in his
- 6:55Speaker 1: life at Kelsey So it's like probably pretty shocking to
- 6:58Speaker 1: him how people are on the internet. Absolutely, and if
- 7:01Speaker 1: it is somebody, if it's your maybe soon to be
- 7:03Speaker 1: daughter in law and your son and they're just attacking,
- 7:06Speaker 1: how do you not hold back?
- 7:08Speaker 4: It would take a lot to it. Yeah, hopefully he's
- 7:11Speaker 4: getting used to it.
- 7:11Speaker 1: And it sounds like yes soliday season.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Holiday season.
- 7:16Speaker 2: And speaking of the Kelseyes, Dona Kelcey, she is a
- 7:19Speaker 2: movie star. So not only yesterday did they have the
- 7:23Speaker 2: big game, they had the huge tailgate. It's like the
- 7:27Speaker 2: Chiefs world's largest tailgate event, and they ended up having
- 7:30Speaker 2: Donna kelce there with a couple of the people that
- 7:32Speaker 2: were a part of this new Hallmark movie Holiday Touchdown,
- 7:35Speaker 2: a Chief's love story. So they made the promo, they
- 7:38Speaker 2: had a whole deal, which cute, but it just kind
- 7:42Speaker 2: of feels a little over the top.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Am I crazy?
- 7:45Speaker 4: Over the top? Like cheesy or just the timing of
- 7:48Speaker 4: it all.
- 7:48Speaker 2: I mean, I get it. It's the kickoff to the
- 7:50Speaker 2: NFL season. This movie is going to be out on
- 7:52Speaker 2: November thirtieth. It just feels a little odd to me.
- 7:55Speaker 2: We did find out Donna Kelcey in this show. She
- 7:58Speaker 2: is going to be the manager of a barbecue rest.
- 8:00Speaker 2: She wears her son's jersey number eighty seven in the film.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Andy Reid is making an appearance in this as well,
- 8:06Speaker 2: so there's quite a.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Few cam yos. I am shocked they got him.
- 8:09Speaker 1: He just seems like a little curmudgeony, like the idea
- 8:13Speaker 1: of him going to do this movie.
- 8:15Speaker 4: You know, I agree, Yes, I might have to watch
- 8:19Speaker 4: now just for that.
- 8:20Speaker 2: So it's gonna be what November thirtieth, So that'll be
- 8:25Speaker 2: that is not Thanksgiving weekend, I don't think. I think
- 8:28Speaker 2: it's the weekend after.
- 8:28Speaker 4: But I think it is.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I think that's the end of like Thanksgivings Thursday and
- 8:31Speaker 1: then the thirtieth must be what Friday Saturday.
- 8:35Speaker 4: I'm guess it's a movie Saturday.
- 8:36Speaker 1: This is going to be a Saturday night flick for sure,
- 8:39Speaker 1: I would think.
- 8:40Speaker 4: But is it not going to theaters?
- 8:42Speaker 1: Oh no, this is just on the Hallmarks channel? Baby, Sorry,
- 8:45Speaker 1: Well then could be at any time then.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Keith Urban, he's making headlines and it's for all the
- 8:50Speaker 2: wrong reasons. When you wake up this morning, you're gonna
- 8:52Speaker 2: see it, but we're gonna be the ones to actually
- 8:54Speaker 2: play the audio for you.
- 8:58Speaker 4: I love it.
- 8:59Speaker 6: The voice man that always like no one's She's just
- 9:02Speaker 6: she sounds like an ash tray.
- 9:09Speaker 2: And you know, people forget to put in the headline.
- 9:12Speaker 2: I mean it as a compliment. The headline everywhere is
- 9:15Speaker 2: Eith Urban says that Miley Cyrus sounds like an ashtray,
- 9:18Speaker 2: and he's not wrong. I mean that is her raspy,
- 9:21Speaker 2: just kind of growley voice.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I mean to be fair, and ashtray doesn't really emit
- 9:26Speaker 1: a sound, but if it, if it did, I mean
- 9:29Speaker 1: you can imagine it would sound like Miley Cyrus. Been
- 9:31Speaker 1: a while since I've been around one, Like, is there
- 9:33Speaker 1: like a sizzle like a when you put out.
- 9:36Speaker 3: An ash or a cigarette.
- 9:37Speaker 1: You've been around the world enough to know that. I
- 9:40Speaker 1: don't need to tell you that. I mean, maybe faintly
- 9:43Speaker 1: if you're in a dead, silent room. Come on, I
- 9:46Speaker 1: haven't been around on an ashtray much either. I'll tell
- 9:48Speaker 1: you one fun fact. My mom smoked growing up and
- 9:51Speaker 1: it still does, I think. But I made an ashtray
- 9:54Speaker 1: for her as a school project. I thought, you know what,
- 9:56Speaker 1: instead of yelling at yeah, yeah, you had to make
- 9:58Speaker 1: a little clay thing, I'm like, wow, what It was
- 10:01Speaker 1: one of.
- 10:01Speaker 2: The easier things to make. I remember a few kids
- 10:03Speaker 2: in our class doing that. Can you imagine now if
- 10:06Speaker 2: you were in homech or whatever art class and they
- 10:08Speaker 2: were like, I'm making an ash tree, they'd be like.
- 10:13Speaker 6: An in the morning.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Seven, Sorry, Amana's gaslighting me. That is so not true.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Pike and I are having We got to fill people
- 10:21Speaker 1: in on this.
- 10:22Speaker 2: We had a full on conversation about two months ago
- 10:25Speaker 2: about something.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Don't say two months see she's it's getting worse now
- 10:29Speaker 1: with every word you utter.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Your gas and of June, maybe early July, we had
- 10:35Speaker 2: this conversation and I refuse to believe that Amanda and
- 10:39Speaker 2: I were talking about so I do a fundraiser.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Every year, my friends and I put on this bags
- 10:44Speaker 1: tournament for our friend who passed away and mental health awareness,
- 10:47Speaker 1: and we raise money for a scholarship. So we've been
- 10:49Speaker 1: doing this cornhole or bags tournament for years, like a decade.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Now, and you've always done it on a Saturday.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Always a Saturday in the fall, which you know is
- 10:56Speaker 1: a human being, that's a you know, it's tricky. It's
- 10:58Speaker 1: a lot of things going on Saturdays in the fall.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Hate to cut you off, but in the midst of
- 11:03Speaker 2: our conversation two months ago, the whole conversation was Saturdays
- 11:07Speaker 2: are busy, and I had brought up you know how
- 11:09Speaker 2: great it would be even just you guys getting together
- 11:11Speaker 2: to honor him, a Friday night happy hour and people
- 11:13Speaker 2: could bring their.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Kids if you wanted to.
- 11:15Speaker 2: It could be like a family fun nights since all
- 11:19Speaker 2: of your friends have kids.
- 11:20Speaker 4: And whatnotraffle or something live music even you said you.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Suggested, and that money would go towards the scholars Let's
- 11:26Speaker 1: keep to keep it alive. Rather than saying no, we're
- 11:28Speaker 1: not going to do it anymore. Just to do something
- 11:30Speaker 1: that's easier and more accessible. Not everybody likes.
- 11:32Speaker 4: To play cornhole necessarily totally.
- 11:35Speaker 1: So here I bring it up because that is spoiler
- 11:38Speaker 1: ultimately what we've decided to do, basically word for word
- 11:41Speaker 1: what a man is saying. So I saw, would I
- 11:43Speaker 1: know that if I wasn't on the planning committee? I
- 11:45Speaker 1: just said aloud, did I tell you that we're not
- 11:47Speaker 1: doing a bags tournament? And she's like, oh, yeah, I
- 11:50Speaker 1: was a Remember I was telling you about that. Maybe
- 11:53Speaker 1: just move it to a Friday and have live music
- 11:55Speaker 1: and just do a little thing, like a little happy
- 11:57Speaker 1: hour thing. And I know you did nuts. I think,
- 12:01Speaker 1: if anything, I told you that yesterday, and now you're
- 12:05Speaker 1: taking it, taking that information and convincing me that you
- 12:09Speaker 1: told me that two months ago. This is nuts, this
- 12:13Speaker 1: is wild. I was starting to make it lose in
- 12:16Speaker 1: your nagget So now a man is going to show
- 12:18Speaker 1: up to the event. You go to walk in and
- 12:19Speaker 1: just be like parading around telling everybody that she came
- 12:22Speaker 1: up with the idea.
- 12:23Speaker 2: No, but I do love that because every once in
- 12:25Speaker 2: a while you gotta spic things up and switch things
- 12:27Speaker 2: around and make it.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Everybody grows up, and you got to transform.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Well exactly, you have to evolve, because the thought anything
- 12:35Speaker 1: gets stale. It does just after so long because you know,
- 12:38Speaker 1: really we have the same teams playing every year in
- 12:40Speaker 1: the tournament, which is great, but you know, it's just
- 12:42Speaker 1: good to switch it up.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I also, I think it's important that we talk about
- 12:45Speaker 2: it too. It is September, it's mental health awareness month.
- 12:47Speaker 2: There's a lot of events and things going on, but
- 12:50Speaker 2: I think it is so important that people have the conversations.
- 12:55Speaker 2: And I think it's you know, I remember when this
- 12:57Speaker 2: happened to your friend.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Yeah, my friend, uh commit suicide is what we're talking about.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Eleven years ago now.
- 13:03Speaker 3: And I will never forget it.
- 13:05Speaker 2: We were on our way back from Vegas and it
- 13:07Speaker 2: was one of those moments and it was the most
- 13:10Speaker 2: surprising because this is not a friend that you would
- 13:12Speaker 2: have ever thought.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Yeah, unfortunately, that's sort of the theme with anybody who's
- 13:16Speaker 1: lost somebody in that way. It's shocking, but you know,
- 13:20Speaker 1: you find a way to remember them and they're so
- 13:22Speaker 1: Like you said, there's so many different events and like
- 13:25Speaker 1: charities out there.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Which is so great and it is great for ours.
- 13:29Speaker 1: There was a time when we were thinking maybe we
- 13:31Speaker 1: would grow this thing like a lot of people do,
- 13:33Speaker 1: and we talked to them people come in here with
- 13:35Speaker 1: their charities for friends they've lost, and it's amazing, like
- 13:37Speaker 1: how big they've gone, and you need that, you need
- 13:40Speaker 1: people to do that for us. Though at some point
- 13:42Speaker 1: we kind of just decided maybe just something for us
- 13:44Speaker 1: and for our friends, people who knew him, just a
- 13:46Speaker 1: reason to keep his name alive, which was really the motivation.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Of course, it's nice to have a scholarship at DGF
- 13:52Speaker 1: where we went, just to keep the name out there.
- 13:54Speaker 1: And maybe every year, you know, a kid wins the
- 13:56Speaker 1: Mark Anderson Scholarship and they think, oh, you know, at
- 13:59Speaker 1: this point, one hundred years have gone by since we
- 14:01Speaker 1: went to high school. Oh stop, so they go, oh,
- 14:03Speaker 1: who's that And then they maybe learned the story and
- 14:06Speaker 1: it helps somebody.
- 14:07Speaker 3: So no, I proud of you guys for for doing that.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Thanks for talking about it, because it is super important
- 14:13Speaker 2: and I think it's it's still some even right now
- 14:15Speaker 2: it's uncomfortable to talk about no matter.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I like talking about the stupid what did
- 14:20Speaker 1: we talk about ten minutes ago?
- 14:21Speaker 3: We were arguing for usual, but.
- 14:24Speaker 1: But ultimately, thank you Amanda for coming up with the
- 14:27Speaker 1: idea for the event this year. I mean, that's really
- 14:29Speaker 1: what we're getting at here. You're so welcome that I
- 14:31Speaker 1: could really put my spin on that. And this is
- 14:33Speaker 1: great though, because if it flops, that's entirely on you. Okay,
- 14:38Speaker 1: and Amanda in the morning on sign you know, if
- 14:42Speaker 1: you had to pick a generation when we're talking sick
- 14:44Speaker 1: days people calling in sick, which generation do you think
- 14:48Speaker 1: is currently taking the most sick days?
- 14:50Speaker 3: I gotta go with where we at, jen Z the Zoomers.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Big oh oh, I told you what Zoomers means yesterday
- 14:57Speaker 1: and now you've already adapted that. Oh totally, it's in
- 15:00Speaker 1: I vocab now. Really, well, that's nice to hear, but
- 15:03Speaker 1: you got it. A man at Zoomer's gen z are
- 15:06Speaker 1: currently taking the most sick days.
- 15:07Speaker 2: And I think a lot of that has to do
- 15:09Speaker 2: with technology, don't you think. I mean, we grew up
- 15:11Speaker 2: in the timeframe where you couldn't just send a text
- 15:15Speaker 2: and we played sick like you never called in sick
- 15:18Speaker 2: for work. I mean it was cemented in my you
- 15:20Speaker 2: just don't.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Yeah, it depends on where you're at.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Certain industries, you just a lot of people do jobs
- 15:26Speaker 1: at you know, there's a lot of turnover, you know
- 15:28Speaker 1: what I mean? Like, oh, I don't know RB's it
- 15:31Speaker 1: was a little more frequent. People just not showing up
- 15:33Speaker 1: for their shifts. Sometimes you just never see them again.
- 15:36Speaker 1: It depends if hopefully anyway, if you're a decent person,
- 15:39Speaker 1: you're considering, like, what is me not showing up going
- 15:43Speaker 1: to affect other people coworkers?
- 15:45Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 15:46Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, if you do a job like sick, you
- 15:48Speaker 1: are well, yeah, there's a lot of factors total, because
- 15:50Speaker 1: I mean, I think we all agree like, if you're
- 15:52Speaker 1: super sick, you should not be coming to work, not
- 15:54Speaker 1: only for your own sake, but for everybody else's. So
- 15:56Speaker 1: there's nothing like cool about showing up with hay fever
- 16:00Speaker 1: and you're hanging out with all your coworkers who have
- 16:03Speaker 1: kids and parents. Yeah, no thanks, but it has increased
- 16:06Speaker 1: in the last handful of years, they say, obviously, I
- 16:08Speaker 1: feel like that whole thing we went through and you know,
- 16:10Speaker 1: maybe open people's eyes that not spreading germs as much.
- 16:14Speaker 4: And again, it just depends on what you do.
- 16:16Speaker 1: You know, there's certain jobs where you can't just if
- 16:18Speaker 1: you don't show up, like the thing doesn't happen. You know,
- 16:21Speaker 1: there's not everyone doesn't have a backup plan necessarily.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and some people just can tough it out a
- 16:26Speaker 2: little bit longer, do it really? Again, it's situational, but
- 16:30Speaker 2: I think a lot of it has to do with
- 16:31Speaker 2: do you remember having to pick up the phone to
- 16:34Speaker 2: call and it's like if you didn't sound sick enough
- 16:36Speaker 2: or feeling that way.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I'll never forget the one time I
- 16:39Speaker 1: had to call into Arby's. It was only one time,
- 16:42Speaker 1: but I had a couple of cocktails the night before
- 16:45Speaker 1: And this is gonna get gross, But oh gosh, do
- 16:48Speaker 1: you do you want to think about this before you spew.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Whatever you hear about too.
- 16:52Speaker 1: There's two factors in why I couldn't show up to
- 16:54Speaker 1: the opening shift at Arby's at Day. One was definitely
- 16:57Speaker 1: drank too much the night before young Man party era.
- 17:00Speaker 1: But the second problem was probably the real kicker.
- 17:03Speaker 4: In that.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Bad tummy.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Yeah, had had an accident as an adult. Yeah, so
- 17:10Speaker 1: there's no option. I gotta go hose off at the house.
- 17:13Speaker 1: How is it possible? I mean, I know you're not
- 17:15Speaker 1: gonna admit it, but I feel like most adults probably
- 17:17Speaker 1: know how it's possible.
- 17:18Speaker 4: You know, you know what I'm saying?
- 17:20Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, I don't need to get into great detail,
- 17:23Speaker 1: but I'm man enough to admit that it's happened on
- 17:25Speaker 1: several occasions as an adult, and so much so I've
- 17:28Speaker 1: garnered a nickname, in fact from my friends.
- 17:31Speaker 3: This is where, but where.
- 17:33Speaker 1: We question when you say several times as an adult, Hey,
- 17:37Speaker 1: I'm I've.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Turned thirty four on Tuesday.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Okay, it's a lot of years to work with, and
- 17:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna be getting you some depends. That's what I'm
- 17:44Speaker 1: paying just to keep them. I'm surprised that ultimate.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Oh gosh, the ultimate had itself you can imagine.
- 17:50Speaker 1: But I mean, you gotta appreciate it, because the last
- 17:52Speaker 1: thing you want a guy like that doing is showing
- 17:54Speaker 1: up to slice your roast beef sandwich up.
- 17:56Speaker 3: You know, you know what I do appreciate here.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I was all in on one, need to go and
- 18:01Speaker 1: have Arby's today, But then you've really just turned me
- 18:04Speaker 1: a little. I've lost my apps. The tossing the curl,
- 18:08Speaker 1: he's in the deep fryer. You're not then act for
- 18:11Speaker 1: an Arby sand with with extra Horsey sauce right now, like.
- 18:17Speaker 4: In a minute in the morning on a big nutty
- 18:19Speaker 4: eight point seven. I always say it.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Do not drink, do drugs, any of that, because you
- 18:25Speaker 1: end up doing stuff like this. O. God, a woman
- 18:27Speaker 1: has been arrested, and you know, you think of the
- 18:29Speaker 1: worst things you've done in your life. It's probably after
- 18:31Speaker 1: consuming any of the aforementioned products that a woman arrested
- 18:38Speaker 1: after stealing a casket with a body still inside from
- 18:44Speaker 1: a Las Vegas funeral home so that she doesn't remember
- 18:47Speaker 1: anything though.
- 18:49Speaker 2: This is like an episode of the Hangover. First of all,
- 18:52Speaker 2: those things are heavy. Yeah, it's impressive how she was
- 18:54Speaker 2: able to do it.
- 18:55Speaker 1: She's forty seven years old, faces charges of burglary, grand larceny,
- 18:59Speaker 1: and disturbing human remains. Is she a bodybuilder? She looks
- 19:03Speaker 1: a little mean from the mugshot. I mean, now what
- 19:08Speaker 1: officers found the body with its feet covered with plastic bags,
- 19:12Speaker 1: lying down on some rocks near the front of a
- 19:15Speaker 1: walkway of the property she lives in, according to the
- 19:18Speaker 1: arrest report. Now her reasoning, Amanda, and it's not a
- 19:22Speaker 1: good one, but it's a reason some or less. She
- 19:25Speaker 1: said she was blacked out from drinking six beers. Yeah, okay,
- 19:33Speaker 1: you ever blacked out from drinking six beers?
- 19:35Speaker 4: I don't know, I know that's.
- 19:38Speaker 1: How that works, depending on what she's mixing it with.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Of course you gotta be careful, but that's what she
- 19:42Speaker 1: said anyway, I guess.
- 19:43Speaker 2: I mean for somebody who has never maybe drank before,
- 19:46Speaker 2: I don't know. Yeah, well, everybody has their own tolerance level.
- 19:49Speaker 1: You really think that this lady, Patricia Sierra, got to
- 19:52Speaker 1: forty seven years of age and then thought, what the heck,
- 19:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna try beer. I'm gonna try having it, and
- 19:59Speaker 1: then she drank the first one. She probably the first
- 20:00Speaker 1: sip was like, I don't know, kind of weird.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I don't know where they like, was she had a
- 20:04Speaker 2: brewery or something where there's some strong IPAs?
- 20:07Speaker 4: Yeah, right, just vodka beer. Oh yeah.
- 20:11Speaker 1: There's surveillance footage showing her dragging the casket out the
- 20:15Speaker 1: front door of the fun Can you imagine making multiple
- 20:18Speaker 1: trips in and out. She said she was not trying
- 20:20Speaker 1: to be malicious and was very apologetic about the incident.
- 20:24Speaker 1: She blamed it on the substance abuse problem. So that
- 20:27Speaker 1: answered the question, not the first time she's dabbled with alcohol,
- 20:31Speaker 1: but uh, yeah, she blacked out after six beers and
- 20:34Speaker 1: you know those crazy nights maybe back in college you ever,
- 20:37Speaker 1: Just I don't want to steal a casket points if
- 20:40Speaker 1: there's a body inside.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Still.
- 20:42Speaker 2: But I remember going to the Kenny Chesney concert in
- 20:45Speaker 2: Colorado with one of my girlfriends and we ended up
- 20:49Speaker 2: walking back and I woke up next to a street cone,
- 20:53Speaker 2: Like I brought a street cone, like a construction cone home,
- 20:56Speaker 2: a tale as old as time, done that, you know,
- 20:59Speaker 2: back in college, like we'd come home with lawn ornaments
- 21:01Speaker 2: or a thing.
- 21:02Speaker 1: It's just not statues in people's yards, not good behavior, dumb,
- 21:06Speaker 1: it's not. It's really not. I mean had of growing up.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Sane, young and dumb.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Though for us to now be a voice to tell
- 21:13Speaker 2: you you're gonna get in trouble, yeah, don't do stupid things.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I know it's funny. It's tempting to knock on that
- 21:19Speaker 1: person's door and do an obscene thing and then a
- 21:23Speaker 1: real rascal, real what the Dealrith, Minnesota was a place
- 21:29Speaker 1: to be in the mid two thousands.
- 21:31Speaker 4: Okay.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Also, to be fair, we grew up in a little
- 21:33Speaker 1: bit of a different time, you and I, yes, like
- 21:36Speaker 1: three or four years right, No, no, no, I mean
- 21:39Speaker 1: I'm speaking to the youth right now. You and I
- 21:41Speaker 1: grew up in the same time day bike, You have
- 21:45Speaker 1: no idea people got hurt back then, Okay, it was
- 21:49Speaker 1: crazy times.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Telling people now it's like, you don't just go up
- 21:52Speaker 3: to somebody's door.
- 21:53Speaker 4: You don't know what.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Oh my god, no, from that angle, I mean even
- 21:57Speaker 1: then it was stupid. But now, yeah, definitely not not
- 22:00Speaker 1: things I would be.
- 22:01Speaker 4: Repeating like it a minute in the morning. Come on,
- 22:04Speaker 4: get up on Big seven trending.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Now here's what you need to know.
- 22:11Speaker 2: It was a late when last night. The NFL season
- 22:14Speaker 2: is officially underway. Chiefs beat the Ravens twenty seven to twenty.
- 22:17Speaker 2: But what a game it was. The Ravens kept it interesting.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Of course, I fell asleep before this happened.
- 22:23Speaker 1: I was kind of boring, and then it obviously it
- 22:25Speaker 1: got interesting, very interesting at the end.
- 22:27Speaker 2: I woke up and first thing I did was get
- 22:29Speaker 2: on social media, and I just saw a bunch of
- 22:31Speaker 2: pictures of a guy's foot I bet that did the
- 22:34Speaker 2: yard line, and I'm like, my gosh, what could have
- 22:37Speaker 2: possibly happened here?
- 22:39Speaker 3: So apparently there was a reverse touchdown.
- 22:41Speaker 1: The last play of the game. Ravens are down by seven,
- 22:44Speaker 1: tight end in the back of the end zone. Catches
- 22:45Speaker 1: the ball, but his foot was I mean we're talking
- 22:48Speaker 1: just the end of his shoe was on the the
- 22:51Speaker 1: out of bounds line.
- 22:52Speaker 4: So yeah, didn't count. But good game, good finish. All right.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Tonight your boys, the Packers and the Eagles are going
- 22:58Speaker 2: to be playing at seven to fifteen, that's.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Correct, seven fifteenth Central in South Paulo, Brazil. So I
- 23:03Speaker 1: hope they're not too jet leg to put on a show.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I think they'll be just fine.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Gonna be interesting just to see how it all unfold.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I mean, they're just making it out to me like
- 23:13Speaker 2: they've been in a jail cell for like three days
- 23:16Speaker 2: waiting for this game to happen.
- 23:17Speaker 4: I mean the other Wednesday.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Yeah, they're not supposed to leave the hotel, but you're
- 23:20Speaker 1: also there for you're on a work trip. And I know,
- 23:23Speaker 1: like us average Joe's when you go on work conferences,
- 23:26Speaker 1: you might be able to go have dinner or something.
- 23:27Speaker 4: But these guys, it's.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Like there's some of these states so that I'm reading,
- 23:32Speaker 1: it's like they're sliding food under their hotel door, Like
- 23:34Speaker 1: don't open your hotel room.
- 23:35Speaker 4: You don't know what's gonna happen. Oh, come on, I
- 23:37Speaker 4: mean that's kind of what they're making.
- 23:40Speaker 1: There's people that act like that when they go to
- 23:41Speaker 1: Minneapolis or New York City. You know, it's it's a city.
- 23:45Speaker 1: There is crime, but there's some here. It's we all
- 23:47Speaker 1: too well known and.
- 23:49Speaker 2: The NDESU guys and have their home opener tomorrow. Coach
- 23:52Speaker 2: Paula sec is just pumped, very exciting. If you did
- 23:55Speaker 2: not hear about some of their new traditions and some
- 23:57Speaker 2: things that they're doing, He's pumped pisonation.
- 24:00Speaker 5: We've got a big deal on this Saturday home opener.
- 24:02Speaker 5: This football teams super excited. I'm excited to be back
- 24:05Speaker 5: in Fargo to play inside the Fargo Do get your
- 24:08Speaker 5: tailgate on, get there early. We've got a new tradition.
- 24:10Speaker 5: It's called the Stampede. We're going to be on Alprect
- 24:13Speaker 5: Avenue coming up about twelve o'clock. The band, the cheerleaders,
- 24:17Speaker 5: the tailgaters, the families and our players. It's an opportunity
- 24:20Speaker 5: to interact with this football team who's been out here
- 24:23Speaker 5: working hard, and we need everybody in the stands on
- 24:25Speaker 5: Saturday being super loud. Let's go go buy me.
- 24:28Speaker 3: I love that. Okay, So what avenue all brick Avenue,
- 24:32Speaker 3: So it's.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I know all the avenues in this town got it,
- 24:35Speaker 1: and I don't know of all Brick Avenue.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Isn't that just the one right in front of the
- 24:39Speaker 3: Fargodo Probably?
- 24:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:41Speaker 2: So I really haven't had a lot of tailgating experience,
- 24:43Speaker 2: of course n DSU tailgating, but it was last season.
- 24:46Speaker 2: My husband brought me to an Iowa State game and
- 24:49Speaker 2: I mean just next level. It was just incredible how
- 24:52Speaker 2: many people were out there. But they kind of do
- 24:55Speaker 2: that too, where the players show up, they have the
- 24:57Speaker 2: bands all day.
- 24:57Speaker 3: It just really adds an extra layer.
- 25:00Speaker 1: So this will happen a couple hours before the game
- 25:02Speaker 1: is so at noon?
- 25:04Speaker 4: At noon or what time do they play?
- 25:05Speaker 3: I believe they play at two thirty.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Well we're going to talk to Sam Niederman, aren't we.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Yeah, wam ma'am, thank you say.
- 25:11Speaker 4: I can't wait. I'm so glad that's back.
- 25:13Speaker 1: The voice of the NBSU buys that will be in
- 25:14Speaker 1: here this morning at about eight twenty one, So definitely
- 25:17Speaker 1: we'll find it, will get all the juicy deeds.
- 25:19Speaker 2: I'm sure sounds good. And Instagram rolled out a new feature.
- 25:22Speaker 2: You can now leave comments on Instagram stories of course
- 25:25Speaker 2: they're temporary, just.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Like a post.
- 25:26Speaker 2: If you want to turn off the future feature, you
- 25:28Speaker 2: can go to how others can interact with you, then
- 25:31Speaker 2: click comments and set two.
- 25:33Speaker 1: On or off, so comments that other people would be
- 25:36Speaker 1: able to then see.
- 25:37Speaker 2: And that's what I'm wondering, because how would they see them,
- 25:40Speaker 2: I guess, I mean to apply to a story.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know how they would show.
- 25:45Speaker 4: Up on there.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Interesting people go have been going more towards just stories now,
- 25:50Speaker 1: you know, you see a lot of people that post
- 25:52Speaker 1: constant stories and then you go to their actual feed
- 25:54Speaker 1: and there's like six pictures.
- 25:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:56Speaker 2: I was actually just reading something the other day about
- 25:58Speaker 2: you're supposed to have your highlight reel just through your
- 26:01Speaker 2: stories of like what's going on. But then if it's
- 26:03Speaker 2: like a big moment, for instance, you go to Italy,
- 26:06Speaker 2: then that is worthy enough to put on your your exactly.
- 26:09Speaker 1: And yeah, and that's by how I kind of treat
- 26:11Speaker 1: it too. It's not like, oh, it's Wednesday and I
- 26:13Speaker 1: met Happy Hour. Here's a photo dump photo dump from
- 26:16Speaker 1: a half hour.
- 26:18Speaker 3: I mean, I guess it depends on who was at
- 26:20Speaker 3: the happy hour.
- 26:20Speaker 1: With the President of the United States showed up I
- 26:24Speaker 1: might throw it on the feet. I mean, I'm gonna
- 26:26Speaker 1: tell you, if I win a meat raffle, that probably
- 26:27Speaker 1: should just go to the highlight reel. But that is
- 26:30Speaker 1: definitely going into my uh oh, that's going dump pinned
- 26:33Speaker 1: it to the top. Yeah, all right.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Weather today should slight chance of a shower this morning,
- 26:38Speaker 2: and otherwise today's gonna be mostly sunny.
- 26:40Speaker 3: High at sixty eight
