Staal Stays for Cup Defense | Carolina Hurricanes News
Jordan Staal’s legacy with the Carolina Hurricanes just got a major extension — he’s staying through 2027-28 on a deal worth $9M base, $4M bonus, and up to $5.1M in performance incentives. At 38, the captain delivered a breakout playoff season with 8 goals, 4 assists, and the Conn Smythe Trophy after leading them to their first Stanley Cup. His leadership, franchise records (2nd all-time in games, 5th in points), and championship pedigree make him irreplaceable as the Hurricanes aim for more glory.
