- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's your person, Michelle. I guess then I came
- 0:04Speaker 1: back because that's what I do, because I don't like
- 0:08Speaker 1: disappointing people, but also because we're going to talk about
- 0:12Speaker 1: eighty six, episode four today, and since I have nothing
- 0:15Speaker 1: else really to say, I don't think we should just
- 0:17Speaker 1: probably do that. It looks like it's nice out though,
- 0:20Speaker 1: so that's good. Yay. Anyway, as you know from last
- 0:25Speaker 1: week from the next episode, title card at the end
- 0:27Speaker 1: episode three, Episode four is called real name yay, which
- 0:32Speaker 1: makes sense because where we ended episode three, THEO had
- 0:36Speaker 1: just accused Lena of a bunch of things and reminded
- 0:41Speaker 1: her that she doesn't know any of their names because
- 0:43Speaker 1: she never asked, so yay. So we actually get to
- 0:47Speaker 1: pick back up like right there, but on the other
- 0:49Speaker 1: side of the conversation, and unfortunately I have to say
- 0:52Speaker 1: all the Theo's things again, and then I gotta say
- 0:55Speaker 1: them later in the episode two. But I think I
- 0:56Speaker 1: have an idea how to make that cool. So I
- 0:59Speaker 1: hope that I interpret this as good as I did
- 1:01Speaker 1: last week. If I did well. If not, I hope
- 1:04Speaker 1: I do a better job this time. So let's do it.
- 1:08Speaker 1: So we see that it is June fifteenth, twenty one
- 1:10Speaker 1: forty eight, which is the same day as we left
- 1:12Speaker 1: off in the last episode. So you may remember from
- 1:16Speaker 1: the beginning of episode three we saw someone's button pop
- 1:19Speaker 1: off their jacket, so it's definitely Theo's. Anyway, we see
- 1:23Speaker 1: the button drop to the floor and it's between his feet,
- 1:27Speaker 1: just kind of vibrating along with the Juggernaut, and we
- 1:32Speaker 1: are just focused on the button as he speaks, and
- 1:34Speaker 1: he says, don't try to deny it. You throw us
- 1:37Speaker 1: out here on the battlefield and treat us like weapons
- 1:39Speaker 1: while you watch in your nice safe place inside the walls,
- 1:42Speaker 1: and it doesn't bother you at all. If that's not
- 1:44Speaker 1: treating us like pigs, what is with the what is?
- 1:47Speaker 1: He stumps and his button jumps, and now we see
- 1:51Speaker 1: a shot of the top of his jacket where the
- 1:53Speaker 1: button used to be, and he continues, you think that
- 1:55Speaker 1: if you just act nice and talk to us every day,
- 1:57Speaker 1: that counts as treating us as human, don't you. He
- 2:01Speaker 1: narrows his eyes in disgust. You never even asked our
- 2:04Speaker 1: real names. He is breathing hard, and at this point
- 2:08Speaker 1: we hear right and say THEO. Theo's like right in
- 2:12Speaker 1: you don't need to defend this white pig and right
- 2:14Speaker 1: and cuts him off THEO. THEO looks shocked and he
- 2:19Speaker 1: closes his eyes and sighs and says, got it right
- 2:25Speaker 1: in size handler one killed the synchronization. Lena's like, um
- 2:30Speaker 1: right and cuts her off. The battle's over. You don't
- 2:32Speaker 1: need to monitor us. We cut back to THEO and
- 2:35Speaker 1: his head is down and he just looks fucking destroyed,
- 2:38Speaker 1: and right and says laughing, Fox went too far, but
- 2:41Speaker 1: none of us are in the mood for a friendly
- 2:42Speaker 1: chat with you. We see everyone briefly in their cockpits
- 2:46Speaker 1: and they all look either pissed or like distressed by
- 2:50Speaker 1: what just happened. We cut to Shin, who has his
- 2:52Speaker 1: eyes closed, and Lena says, I'm sorry, and she cuts
- 2:56Speaker 1: the line. Shin opens his eyes and looks at his screen,
- 3:00Speaker 1: and this is where we see the fire in the
- 3:02Speaker 1: forest and the flashing signal loss from the last episode,
- 3:06Speaker 1: and we hear Kaye say I don't want to die.
- 3:10Speaker 1: We flash to her juggernaut being thrown and then exploding,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and then we cut back to THEO, who still has
- 3:16Speaker 1: his head down and he puts his hands on his
- 3:18Speaker 1: head and he says, I'm sorry, Kaye. He makes a
- 3:23Speaker 1: fist and he's gripping his hair like really tightly. I
- 3:26Speaker 1: did the same thing as the White pigs. He takes
- 3:29Speaker 1: a shaky breath and I tainted your death, geez. And
- 3:35Speaker 1: then we go to the opening theme. Yay. So I
- 3:38Speaker 1: want to just pause there real quick and say that
- 3:42Speaker 1: I understand that. I guess I could see the timing
- 3:45Speaker 1: not being great, but I don't really think this tainted
- 3:48Speaker 1: Kaye's death. I mean it was done in response to
- 3:51Speaker 1: Kaye's death, but whatever. I'm not THEO, so who knows.
- 3:56Speaker 1: And in the opening theme, it's important that I mentioned that.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I remember I was telling you that there is a
- 4:01Speaker 1: field of red spider lilies and there are some dead
- 4:04Speaker 1: people in it. I mean we saw Kujo and then
- 4:06Speaker 1: two people we don't know now Kanye is also there,
- 4:09Speaker 1: So I guess we're gonna keep adding to it, yay,
- 4:12Speaker 1: I guess. So coming back from the opening, Shin is
- 4:16Speaker 1: sitting on that bench outside and he's reading and the
- 4:19Speaker 1: cat is on his lap and is like kind of
- 4:21Speaker 1: pawing at his jacket because the cat wants attention. And
- 4:24Speaker 1: we see that it is June sixteenth, twenty one forty eight,
- 4:27Speaker 1: So that's the next day. In front of him in
- 4:31Speaker 1: kind of like this field or like blacktopped area, a
- 4:35Speaker 1: bunch of the kids are playing basketball. We see how
- 4:38Speaker 1: to Toe dribbling and he says THEO, and he throws
- 4:41Speaker 1: the ball to him. THEO is not paying attention and
- 4:44Speaker 1: he just kind of misses the ball and some other
- 4:46Speaker 1: kid like runs over and grabs it before he can,
- 4:49Speaker 1: and Theo's like sorry, he looks down, he's he's not okay.
- 4:54Speaker 1: At this point, Shin is now holding the book over
- 4:56Speaker 1: his head because the cat will not leave it alone.
- 4:59Speaker 1: The cat's like trying to reach up and get it.
- 5:01Speaker 1: We got to what I assume is a later shot
- 5:03Speaker 1: now a Fido walking around outside, and then we see
- 5:06Speaker 1: everyone seated in that common area in the barracks. THEO
- 5:10Speaker 1: is sitting at a desk and he is drawing the
- 5:13Speaker 1: cat who is on the disk in front of him.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And then the cat gets up and starts to leave,
- 5:17Speaker 1: and Theo's like, Whitey, stay put. The cat jumps down
- 5:21Speaker 1: and starts playing with like a toy on the floor,
- 5:24Speaker 1: and Theo's like, Whitey, he looks really pissed off. Hot
- 5:28Speaker 1: Toe and Daya come over and they're looking over Theo's
- 5:31Speaker 1: shoulder at his drawing, and Diya's like, that looks like
- 5:36Speaker 1: a fox, not a cat, and it's kind of scary.
- 5:39Speaker 1: We see his drawing now and it's this really cool fox,
- 5:41Speaker 1: Like the head is more detailed. He's just kind of
- 5:43Speaker 1: working on the body a little bit and it looks
- 5:45Speaker 1: like he's been drawing in charcoal. And yeah, it's a
- 5:47Speaker 1: really intense looking fox. Hat too, says, and it's not laughing.
- 5:52Speaker 1: You're supposed to be laughing fox. Theo's like, shut up. Corina,
- 5:57Speaker 1: I guess is holding the cat's toy now, and the
- 5:58Speaker 1: cat is leaping and trying I get it, and she says,
- 6:01Speaker 1: are you upset about what you said to that woman?
- 6:04Speaker 1: THEO scowls and he's like, no, I'm not. Andre's like,
- 6:07Speaker 1: well it bothers me and some girl I think she's
- 6:12Speaker 1: got brown hair says yeah, ANDU Corina and the brown
- 6:16Speaker 1: haired girl stand and ONU, says THEO. THEO looks over
- 6:22Speaker 1: to see the three girls approaching him menacingly and smirking
- 6:26Speaker 1: AND's like, don't move, and then they like jump him
- 6:29Speaker 1: and knock over the chair and they're like gotcha, gotcha, gotcha,
- 6:32Speaker 1: and they're like just dog piled on him basically, and
- 6:35Speaker 1: his arm is like outstretched from underneath them, shaking, And
- 6:40Speaker 1: then we cut to Au who is now holding Theo's
- 6:42Speaker 1: jacket and the detached button and she's like, it bugged
- 6:46Speaker 1: me the way it came off. THEO is once again
- 6:49Speaker 1: sitting at the desk. He's facing away from them on
- 6:52Speaker 1: the couch and he's pouting. The brown haired girl's like
- 6:55Speaker 1: also the way he just always has the one button done.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Theo's like, who cares. Karina says, it's just like you,
- 7:04Speaker 1: but THEO cuts her off forget it. Dia Raydon and
- 7:07Speaker 1: Hatu Toe are watching and smiling because apparently his slight
- 7:12Speaker 1: anger and annoyedness are funny, and Dya says, what we
- 7:17Speaker 1: saw yesterday wasn't like you at all. On Juw's like
- 7:20Speaker 1: the way you said it wasn't good. THEO is scowling,
- 7:23Speaker 1: but we see that his lip is kind of shaking. Ahh.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Andrew continues, but it reminded me of the Fox commander,
- 7:30Speaker 1: but we don't know who that is. Daya pats THEO
- 7:34Speaker 1: on the head and THEO like pushes him away and
- 7:36Speaker 1: is like just give it up, guys. Anju says, well,
- 7:41Speaker 1: we're all jealous because you got to meet someone like that.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Theo's like, what's this about. We see Anju threading the
- 7:48Speaker 1: button and she says, someone will always be important to you.
- 7:52Speaker 1: They were never like that for me. We cut to
- 7:55Speaker 1: someone walking close up with a top button now connected,
- 7:58Speaker 1: so I assume it is THEO, and the sun is setting,
- 8:01Speaker 1: and Fido is looking around a doorway like the doorway
- 8:04Speaker 1: of the hanger, and we hear Aldrich say, listen, Shin,
- 8:08Speaker 1: you better not break it next time. Stay put till
- 8:11Speaker 1: we get our next part shipment. THEO at this point
- 8:13Speaker 1: walks up to Fido and we hear Shin say if
- 8:16Speaker 1: I can. Aldrich lets out a big frustrated sigh, and
- 8:22Speaker 1: we see him start to walk into frame towards THEO.
- 8:24Speaker 1: He's like, hey, THEO. Fido shrinks away like he's scared
- 8:28Speaker 1: of him. He doesn't like go away, but he like
- 8:30Speaker 1: just kind of backs up a little bit. I guess
- 8:32Speaker 1: maybe he didn't like the way that he was yelling
- 8:35Speaker 1: at Shinner or something. Anyway, Aldrich says, don't do anything
- 8:39Speaker 1: stupid like him. You guys are all such kids. I guess.
- 8:42Speaker 1: He leaves at this point, and THEO walks over to
- 8:45Speaker 1: Shin in the hangar and he says he looked like
- 8:48Speaker 1: he was about to pop up blood vessel as always.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Shin says, I'd like to keep him from getting mad
- 8:54Speaker 1: once in a while, and Theo's like, that's probably impossible.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Fido comes over and he drops a piece of metal
- 9:01Speaker 1: into Shin's hand, and THEO sees this and he just
- 9:05Speaker 1: looks so devastated. Shin's like, thanks, and he starts to
- 9:09Speaker 1: walk away. THEO says, what would the commander have said
- 9:14Speaker 1: to that handler? Shin stops and turns back the Fox commander.
- 9:19Speaker 1: THEO says, yeah, would he have gotten mad? Well, it
- 9:23Speaker 1: doesn't matter. He kind of like half laughs that white
- 9:27Speaker 1: pig who thinks she's a sane he'll probably never get
- 9:29Speaker 1: on the power raid again. He starts to walk off
- 9:32Speaker 1: in the opposite direction. Shin's like, your commander wouldn't have
- 9:35Speaker 1: said that. THEO stops, but he doesn't turn around. Shin continues,
- 9:39Speaker 1: that's what you think, isn't it. THEO doesn't say anything,
- 9:43Speaker 1: but he grips that top button really tightly. It's night now,
- 9:48Speaker 1: and Shin sits down at his desk in the moonlight,
- 9:52Speaker 1: and he looks down at the metal scrap in his hand,
- 9:56Speaker 1: and in Japanese it says kirsch blute. His power raid
- 9:59Speaker 1: makes a sound and he says, did you need something?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Handler one WHOA. She's already back in touch. And then
- 10:06Speaker 1: we see the title card of the episode, episode four,
- 10:09Speaker 1: Real Name. Back from what I can only assume was
- 10:12Speaker 1: a break. We cut to a lily, just one in
- 10:16Speaker 1: Lena's face that's on the windowsill and it's light out.
- 10:20Speaker 1: We see that as June sixteenth, twenty one forty eight,
- 10:23Speaker 1: so I guess it's earlier in the day now because
- 10:25Speaker 1: we were just doing the night of the sixteenth, so
- 10:28Speaker 1: this is before those events happened. Lena is standing at
- 10:32Speaker 1: the window and she doesn't look happy because she's had
- 10:35Speaker 1: a really rough day before, and she salutes. Then we
- 10:40Speaker 1: hear Annette say it just shows that in the end,
- 10:43Speaker 1: you're a citizen of the republic. She is bringing coffee
- 10:45Speaker 1: munks to a table that has like flawn on it,
- 10:49Speaker 1: like two dishes of flawn, and she continues, we have
- 10:53Speaker 1: to accept that we live in our own world. Fuck.
- 10:56Speaker 1: She sits down. Lena is also sitting at the table
- 10:59Speaker 1: and she says, that's not okay. I could never forgive
- 11:03Speaker 1: myself if I did that. Annette puts her hand on
- 11:06Speaker 1: her chin and leans forward. So what would be okay
- 11:09Speaker 1: then going to the eighty sixth district and fighting alongside them.
- 11:14Speaker 1: You can't do that, Lena looks hurt. Annette continues, what
- 11:18Speaker 1: you need to do now is spoil yourself. I made
- 11:21Speaker 1: too much pudding. Lena looks up because she's been looking
- 11:24Speaker 1: down and says Annette, I'm sorry, but I'm not in
- 11:27Speaker 1: the mood. And that's like, that's not healthy. She takes
- 11:30Speaker 1: a bite. The world is a wonderful place where you
- 11:33Speaker 1: can sneak a putting snack in the middle of the day.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Lena's like, it's not wonderful, not at all. Anette continues,
- 11:42Speaker 1: why is it such a big deal that you didn't
- 11:44Speaker 1: get their names? You don't need to know them. You're
- 11:47Speaker 1: never gonna meet them. She takes another bite of the
- 11:49Speaker 1: fly or pudding. Lena says, Henrietta Penrose, and that's like
- 11:54Speaker 1: what Lena says, that's your name. Annette is a weird
- 11:59Speaker 1: nick for Henrietta. Maybe it's her middle name. I don't know. Anyway,
- 12:04Speaker 1: Lena continues, I know your name. We're friends, and Nette says,
- 12:09Speaker 1: so what Lena's like, a name is who you are
- 12:13Speaker 1: and I didn't even think of that. I wasn't treating
- 12:16Speaker 1: them as human. She's really good at taking criticism. Awesome.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Annette says, you're overthinking this. You and the eighty six
- 12:26Speaker 1: aren't even friends. Lena says, but we're all human and
- 12:29Speaker 1: that's like, if you really thought that, you would ask
- 12:32Speaker 1: their names right away. Lena looks so hurt by this assertion.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I don't even know if that's true, but it might be,
- 12:40Speaker 1: and Anette continues, this is a great time to stop
- 12:43Speaker 1: trying to get any closer to them. Lena says, why
- 12:46Speaker 1: are you so set against them? And Nett's like, because
- 12:50Speaker 1: there's nothing I can do. Fuck. Lena gasps, me too, Lena,
- 12:55Speaker 1: me too. Annette continues, there's putting here and not there.
- 12:59Speaker 1: She stands, we're different from them in every way. She
- 13:02Speaker 1: walks over the window, and now we're seeing the scene
- 13:06Speaker 1: from outside of the window. She continues, so anyway we
- 13:09Speaker 1: get involved just leads to us having regrets. Lena's like, but,
- 13:13Speaker 1: but Annette cuts her off. Lena, the war's already started.
- 13:17Speaker 1: She leans against the window. Cell there's no going back
- 13:20Speaker 1: to how things were. She clasps her hands together. Just
- 13:23Speaker 1: quit being a handler and come to the lab. Lena stands.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I said, I can't quit being a handler. She starts
- 13:32Speaker 1: to walk out. Annette's like, you should listen when your
- 13:35Speaker 1: best friend gives you advice, lad Alina me Lise. Lena
- 13:39Speaker 1: doesn't even say anything. She just leaves and closes the
- 13:41Speaker 1: door behind her. That was a rough conversation for her,
- 13:44Speaker 1: so I understand. We see her walking down the hall
- 13:47Speaker 1: looking pretty forlorn, staring at the ground, and golden light
- 13:51Speaker 1: is streaming in through the window, so maybe it's sunset now,
- 13:55Speaker 1: and we hear someone like in her thoughts say, let's
- 13:58Speaker 1: go to the battlefield. She stops and looks out of
- 14:02Speaker 1: this enormous window at this sunset, and the voice continues
- 14:07Speaker 1: and see everything that's happening. We fade into a helicopter
- 14:11Speaker 1: flying over the city and little like child Lena and
- 14:15Speaker 1: her dad, who has long hair apparently, are sitting inside
- 14:19Speaker 1: and Lena says, war right. Father her dad, whose I
- 14:23Speaker 1: think name is Vlcov or something, says yeah, that's right,
- 14:27Speaker 1: and we're doing something even worse. Lena says something worse.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Her dad's like, yeah, we have to bring this to
- 14:35Speaker 1: an end quickly. Lena looks down and they are flying
- 14:39Speaker 1: over what I can only assume are the camps in
- 14:42Speaker 1: the eighty sixth District, and her dad to the pilot says,
- 14:47Speaker 1: can you take us a little past the front line base.
- 14:50Speaker 1: The pilot says yes, sir colonel, and we fade out
- 14:54Speaker 1: and so the screen is just dark, and then we
- 14:56Speaker 1: see a red laser kind of light light shoot across
- 14:59Speaker 1: the screen and we see multiple red things, light things,
- 15:03Speaker 1: which I guess is probably something shooting at them, pass
- 15:05Speaker 1: in front of the helicopter window, and her dad starts
- 15:08Speaker 1: to hold her close, and then we cut to maybe
- 15:11Speaker 1: what looks like a crashed helicopter. It's kind of hard
- 15:13Speaker 1: because everything's really disjointed, and a legion thing is there,
- 15:17Speaker 1: and then we cut back to now and Lena gasps.
- 15:19Speaker 1: She turns away from the window and takes a shaky breath.
- 15:23Speaker 1: We see someone approaching, but like we don't get a
- 15:25Speaker 1: good shot of them, and they say what's wrong. Lena
- 15:28Speaker 1: looks up and it's her uncle, Carl Stall. Lena says, uncle.
- 15:33Speaker 1: We cut to a picture of her her dad and
- 15:37Speaker 1: her uncle on the bookshelf I guess in his office,
- 15:40Speaker 1: and we hear Lena say, I still can't forget it.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Lena is standing in front of Carl Stall's desk and
- 15:45Speaker 1: he's sitting at it, and she continues. The last place
- 15:49Speaker 1: my father took me the battlefield in District eighty six,
- 15:53Speaker 1: Carl Stall says. Lena continues, I'm sad about what happened
- 15:57Speaker 1: to him, but I'm glad I could see see it.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Carlstall's like clad. We cut to the street outside where
- 16:05Speaker 1: there's just a bunch of cars casually driving down it.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Everything looks fine, and Lena says, yes, because I saw
- 16:12Speaker 1: the eighty sixth district with my own eyes, I was
- 16:14Speaker 1: able to learn the truth about my country. We cut
- 16:17Speaker 1: to the statue of that woman with the sword, and
- 16:19Speaker 1: Lena continues, I was able to hold onto the ideals
- 16:22Speaker 1: that the Republic had thrown away. So Carlstall sighs. Lena
- 16:27Speaker 1: kind of like gasps, and Carlstall says, Volkav was a
- 16:31Speaker 1: kind man who wanted to make the Republic a better place.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I'm sure he was a good father, and that's why
- 16:35Speaker 1: he wanted to teach you the truth about everything as
- 16:38Speaker 1: a friend. I think it's a terrible shame that an
- 16:40Speaker 1: enemy attack took him from us, a man with such
- 16:43Speaker 1: strong sense of justice. But there's something he didn't realize,
- 16:48Speaker 1: Lena says, what Carlstall's like, Just like the rest of
- 16:52Speaker 1: the Republic, he wasn't doing any more than watching Fuck. Yeah,
- 16:56Speaker 1: it's true, I think. I mean, I don't know her dad,
- 16:59Speaker 1: but yeah, Lena gasps. Carl Stall continues, in the end,
- 17:05Speaker 1: no matter how much you talk about equality, it's not
- 17:07Speaker 1: you who's fighting. He felt that subconsciously. Only the eighty
- 17:11Speaker 1: six die on the battlefield, he stands. That's why he
- 17:15Speaker 1: was able to take you there. Oh, he looks out
- 17:18Speaker 1: the window. Continues. The fact that he did something so
- 17:22Speaker 1: reckless for the sake of his ideals proves his ignorance
- 17:26Speaker 1: and stupidity. It's true, Lena, I don't want you to
- 17:32Speaker 1: be like him. Lena looks down. Carl Stall continues, that's enough.
- 17:37Speaker 1: You're doing a good job. Lena looks up and gasps.
- 17:40Speaker 1: She seems like she gasps a lot. Carl Stall says,
- 17:44Speaker 1: it's also my responsibility for giving you a tough unit
- 17:47Speaker 1: to deal with. I wanted you to feel for yourself
- 17:49Speaker 1: the reality of this nation. But you don't need to
- 17:53Speaker 1: do it if it's too much for you. Oh huh,
- 17:55Speaker 1: I guess Lena's like, no, I'll continue to act as
- 17:59Speaker 1: Spearhead's handler. Carl Staal turns back towards her, gives her
- 18:03Speaker 1: a really stern look and says, what does the Republic's
- 18:07Speaker 1: flag stand for? Lena looks confused, but she says, freedom, equality, brotherhood, justice,
- 18:13Speaker 1: and nobility. She puts her hand on her chests. What
- 18:16Speaker 1: are you, Carl Stall cuts her off. Are you upholding that?
- 18:20Speaker 1: Lena gasps again. Carl Stall says, look at the real world.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Those beautiful things are nowhere to be found in the Republic.
- 18:29Speaker 1: You're too focused on seeking ideals from others and yourself.
- 18:33Speaker 1: We see the statue again and he continues ideals are
- 18:37Speaker 1: precisely that, because they're unattainable. The camera is moving down
- 18:40Speaker 1: the statue right now, and then we see the fountain
- 18:44Speaker 1: below that is just filled with trash like fear bottles,
- 18:48Speaker 1: paper scraps, cigarette butts, which is so fucking cool to
- 18:52Speaker 1: have this here. Carl Stall continues, Seeking them when you
- 18:55Speaker 1: know they're impossible is foolish and cowardly. Don't you think,
- 18:59Speaker 1: what what? So that was the end of the scene,
- 19:02Speaker 1: So I'll just cut in here to say, so you
- 19:05Speaker 1: shouldn't seek to better yourself because you can't ever reach
- 19:10Speaker 1: your ideals, Like maybe you can't get to a perfect
- 19:13Speaker 1: vision of the Republic, but you'd think that you'd want
- 19:18Speaker 1: to at least try. It seems like such a cop
- 19:21Speaker 1: out to say, well, it'll never be perfect, so I'm
- 19:23Speaker 1: not gonna try. And that's I guess what carl Stal
- 19:26Speaker 1: is saying. I also thought it's really interesting that he
- 19:30Speaker 1: seems to know that this is all shit and he's
- 19:34Speaker 1: just going along with it. Like I don't know how
- 19:36Speaker 1: high up he is in the government, but it's just
- 19:39Speaker 1: fine because we can't change anything about it. I don't know.
- 19:45Speaker 1: But also his thing about her dad being kind of
- 19:48Speaker 1: stupid and not understanding how dangerous things were because eighty
- 19:52Speaker 1: six are the only ones who die on the battlefield
- 19:54Speaker 1: was really fucking cool and hopefully makes Lena understand things
- 19:59Speaker 1: just a little better because she is just as idealistic
- 20:02Speaker 1: as her dad, and so far she's been about as
- 20:05Speaker 1: helpful as her dad has been, you know, in changing
- 20:07Speaker 1: any of this stuff, which is not at all totally ineffective,
- 20:10Speaker 1: so I thought it was cool. I like that scene. Anyway.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Moving ahead, Lena is outside and she's standing at what
- 20:17Speaker 1: probably is a crosswalk. It's the same place I think
- 20:20Speaker 1: we saw her in episode one, and there's a lot
- 20:22Speaker 1: of people around, but we have like a really up
- 20:23Speaker 1: close shot in the back of her head and we
- 20:25Speaker 1: hear I guess that woman on the screen, you know,
- 20:29Speaker 1: up there somewhere and saying, here's today's update on the
- 20:32Speaker 1: wharf from San Magnolia's military HQ. Lena is just staring
- 20:36Speaker 1: at the ground and she starts to hear Theo's words
- 20:40Speaker 1: over again in her head. You've never called us eighty six,
- 20:43Speaker 1: but all that means is you've left it on said
- 20:45Speaker 1: and I'm gonna try something here and hopefully it'll work.
- 20:48Speaker 1: As she is thinking about Theo's words, the voice of
- 20:53Speaker 1: the woman on the screen is continuing and it says
- 20:57Speaker 1: combat geah again, Wally Responsible resulted in four zero fatalities
- 21:03Speaker 1: on our the day when our relations fun keeping remnants
- 21:09Speaker 1: of the Wicked Empire talk to us every day that
- 21:11Speaker 1: count to the Republic of Said Magnolia and to the
- 21:14Speaker 1: five Colored flast are real names. All of this shit
- 21:18Speaker 1: is a little bit too much for Lena, and she
- 21:19Speaker 1: just runs. She just bolts off, and we hear Kaye say,
- 21:23Speaker 1: you're not cut out for this job. You should let
- 21:25Speaker 1: someone else take your place. So as she's running, we're
- 21:28Speaker 1: cutting back and forth between that and some of like
- 21:31Speaker 1: the screens in her control area from the last battle,
- 21:34Speaker 1: like right before Kaye died, and she is thinking of
- 21:37Speaker 1: herself saying not that way, kirs flute, and Kaye saying
- 21:42Speaker 1: I don't want to die at that. Lena grabs her Pareraide,
- 21:47Speaker 1: still running, and she says Poweraide activate Synchronization Target Undertaker.
- 21:52Speaker 1: We pan up to the moon briefly as a cloud
- 21:54Speaker 1: is passing over it. Next we see it's kind of dark. Now.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Lena drops her bag and she continues to walk. Who's
- 22:02Speaker 1: walking on some stone thing. We see that she is
- 22:04Speaker 1: at this kind of enormous monument looking place with like
- 22:08Speaker 1: two big kind of stone paths and like an obelisk
- 22:12Speaker 1: at the end and this kind of streams running between them,
- 22:17Speaker 1: and then the screen tells us that it is the
- 22:19Speaker 1: War Casualty Cemetery. That's very nice. Shin says, did you
- 22:25Speaker 1: need something? Handler one. Lena has her head down and
- 22:29Speaker 1: she's just kind of walking on this path and she says, undertaker,
- 22:34Speaker 1: can we talk for a moment. Shin's like, go ahead.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Lena says, I'm sorry about yesterday, about everything before it.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I'm really sorry. She stops and kind of stands up straight.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I'm Lena. My name is Ladelina Malise. I know I
- 22:53Speaker 1: should have asked sooner. But she holds her journal to
- 22:56Speaker 1: her chest, which I didn't realize she had, but she does,
- 22:59Speaker 1: which do you please tell me your names? Shin's like,
- 23:04Speaker 1: if you're bothered by what, laughing Fox said, there's no
- 23:07Speaker 1: need to be. Lena kind of gasps. Shin continues, what
- 23:11Speaker 1: he said isn't what we all think. You didn't create
- 23:14Speaker 1: the situation and you can't fix it on your own.
- 23:17Speaker 1: We know that you don't need to blame yourself for
- 23:19Speaker 1: not doing the impossible. Shin is like really fucking kind
- 23:24Speaker 1: and also like really pragmatic, and I like him. Lana's
- 23:28Speaker 1: hand drops kind of slack, and she says, but it
- 23:32Speaker 1: was rude not to ask your names. Shin's like, there
- 23:36Speaker 1: was no need to ask. Why do you think it's
- 23:39Speaker 1: required to use call signs on the Power Raid? Even
- 23:42Speaker 1: though the Legion can't intercept it. And why are the
- 23:45Speaker 1: processor's personnel files locked? Lena says, so handlers won't have
- 23:50Speaker 1: to think of the processors as human, right, Shin says, yeah,
- 23:55Speaker 1: most processors die within a year. They probably just assumed
- 23:59Speaker 1: that all that death would be too much for handler
- 24:00Speaker 1: to bear. Lena says, but that's cowardly, I, she pauses,
- 24:08Speaker 1: and I was too. Honestly, I was gonna run away,
- 24:12Speaker 1: but I don't want to stay a coward forever. Fuck. Yeah,
- 24:16Speaker 1: so please tell me your names, your real names. There's
- 24:22Speaker 1: a really long pause on the line, and then Shin
- 24:25Speaker 1: size and says Kuersplute. The girl who died yesterday was
- 24:30Speaker 1: Kaye Tania. Lena opens her notebook to the page where
- 24:34Speaker 1: that little cheepy face she drew the day before is,
- 24:37Speaker 1: and Shin continues, Werewolf is our second in command. Right
- 24:41Speaker 1: in Shuga laughing, Fox's theoto Rika. Lena is furiously taking notes.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Shin continues, Snowwitch is on du Emma, Gunslinger, Corina, Kukamila,
- 24:51Speaker 1: black Dog is dia Irma, and it kind of fades out.
- 24:54Speaker 1: He's going through all of the names, but for some reason,
- 24:56Speaker 1: we don't get any other names because I guess they're
- 24:58Speaker 1: just not important, but we do see her taking all
- 25:00Speaker 1: of the notes, and then Chin says, that's all of them.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Lena's like, thank you, please call me Lena. Shin says,
- 25:09Speaker 1: you already told me your name. What's your rank? Lana's
- 25:12Speaker 1: like major, I was just promoted, though. Shin says, I'll
- 25:17Speaker 1: call you major Milise from now on. Is that okay?
- 25:21Speaker 1: Lena's like yeah, there's kind of some rustling sounds in
- 25:24Speaker 1: the line on Shin's end, or something being opened and closed.
- 25:28Speaker 1: It's hard to tell what it is, but it just
- 25:30Speaker 1: kind of happened and caught Lena's attention, and she says,
- 25:34Speaker 1: what are you doing? Shin's like leaving Kaye's name behind.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Lena's like what. Shin says, eighty six? Don't get grapes. Fuck.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Lena kind of gasps, and she starts looking around at
- 25:47Speaker 1: the names on these like big memorial stone things, like
- 25:51Speaker 1: it's all one big long stone and there's like lots
- 25:53Speaker 1: of names on it. It looks like a memorial but
- 25:56Speaker 1: maybe there's like ashes or something in these. I don't know,
- 25:59Speaker 1: And I guess she's not really finding any eighty six names,
- 26:02Speaker 1: but I don't know, but we do see her dad's name,
- 26:04Speaker 1: which is interesting. Shin continues, So, in my first unit,
- 26:09Speaker 1: we all made a promise when someone died, we'd carve
- 26:12Speaker 1: their name into a fragment of their juggernaut, and the
- 26:15Speaker 1: survivors would carry it, so the last one of us
- 26:17Speaker 1: to survive would take the others to their final destination.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I was the last. I've always been the last, so
- 26:26Speaker 1: that's my job in this unit too. Fuck Shin. Lena says,
- 26:32Speaker 1: you've been doing that for five years. How many people
- 26:35Speaker 1: have died? She actually looks like she might not want
- 26:39Speaker 1: to know the answer. Shinn says five hundred and sixty one,
- 26:43Speaker 1: including Kaye. Na says, and all of them. Shin's like,
- 26:48Speaker 1: I remember them because I have to take them with me,
- 26:51Speaker 1: all the ones that died fighting alongside me until I
- 26:53Speaker 1: reached my final destination. At this point, the wind picks up.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Lena is clutching her notebook to her chest. Yes, and
- 27:00Speaker 1: she says, and that's why you're undertaker. Sen's like, that's
- 27:05Speaker 1: part of it. Lena says, I never faced the people
- 27:08Speaker 1: I let die. I just felt so bad about it.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I'm sorry, truly. If it's possible, I'd like to apologize
- 27:19Speaker 1: to everyone. Sen's like, should I connect you? And Lena's like,
- 27:24Speaker 1: what hunt no right now? Sen says one moment, Lena
- 27:28Speaker 1: is panicking because she didn't mean right now, and she's like, no,
- 27:31Speaker 1: I'm fine what and her powerade just goes dark because
- 27:34Speaker 1: I guess he disconnected because he wants to talk to
- 27:36Speaker 1: them first. She gulps and tries to put on a
- 27:39Speaker 1: brave face, and then we cut to her sitting on
- 27:43Speaker 1: this memorial thing with her knees to her chest in
- 27:47Speaker 1: the dark, and after a moment, she reaches for her
- 27:50Speaker 1: parade determined, and then we go to the ending theme,
- 27:53Speaker 1: which is just a frame of Lena reaching for her parade.
- 27:59Speaker 1: It's kind of like reddish pinkish, with her eyes like blue,
- 28:03Speaker 1: and it's a different ending than we usually have. It's
- 28:06Speaker 1: like a weird insert song called Hands Up to the
- 28:08Speaker 1: Sky by here A Yuki Sowano and also Loco, which
- 28:12Speaker 1: I really really like a lot and worked really well
- 28:14Speaker 1: here because it's kind of an uplifting song, I guess,
- 28:18Speaker 1: as uplifting as a song in eighty six can be. Yeah,
- 28:22Speaker 1: so I like it. I thought it was perfect for
- 28:24Speaker 1: this episode. As she is getting ready to apologize to
- 28:28Speaker 1: this group of individuals who she has been unintentionally hurting.
- 28:33Speaker 1: We go to the common area of the barracks and
- 28:36Speaker 1: we're like looking at a disco ball that's on the ceiling,
- 28:39Speaker 1: and we hear Lena say all personnel. Everyone is in
- 28:43Speaker 1: the room and they are listening intently, and Lena says,
- 28:47Speaker 1: I'm sorry about yesterday and for the way I've treated
- 28:49Speaker 1: you until now. My name is vlad Delena Malise, and
- 28:53Speaker 1: I'm a handler. I wasn't treating you as humans and
- 28:55Speaker 1: I didn't even realize it. Of course you'd reject me.
- 28:59Speaker 1: We see THEO pick it up a dart, she continues,
- 29:04Speaker 1: but if you would still answer me, then please tell
- 29:06Speaker 1: me your names. THEO is about to throw a dart
- 29:09Speaker 1: at the dart board and he says, sheen already told
- 29:12Speaker 1: you them right, what a pain. He kind of jumps
- 29:15Speaker 1: at what he said. I you know, this is just
- 29:18Speaker 1: kind of spur of the moment. He did not mean
- 29:20Speaker 1: to say that out loud, and Lena says he did,
- 29:24Speaker 1: but you didn't tell me yourselves. Oh uh. Everyone looks
- 29:28Speaker 1: pretty pleased by this, except for maybe THEO and Karina.
- 29:31Speaker 1: It just looks pissed off. That lane exists. THEO sighs,
- 29:35Speaker 1: and he looks over at Chin and he's like, why
- 29:38Speaker 1: couldn't you keep your mouth shut? Sin's like, you regretted
- 29:41Speaker 1: it right, Maybe not what you said, but how you
- 29:44Speaker 1: said it. THEO kind of exhales and throws a dart,
- 29:47Speaker 1: and he says, the mark on my juggernaut is a
- 29:50Speaker 1: laughing fox. He takes another dart, but I got it
- 29:53Speaker 1: from someone else, Lina says, from who Ooh, we get
- 29:57Speaker 1: to find out Theo's like the combat Amanda for the
- 30:00Speaker 1: first unit that I was attached to, a commander so
- 30:03Speaker 1: cheerful and chipper it was almost stupid. He throws a dart.
- 30:06Speaker 1: A former soldier, stupidly strong, an Alba like you. Whoa.
- 30:11Speaker 1: He is continuing to throw darts. A weirdo who said
- 30:14Speaker 1: it wasn't right to make the eighty six fight alone
- 30:16Speaker 1: and came back to the battlefield. He sighs. I hated him,
- 30:19Speaker 1: but he never left. He goes to reach for another dart,
- 30:23Speaker 1: but there aren't any left. He stayed and died. They
- 30:26Speaker 1: died being in the rear guard defending other processors. I'm
- 30:30Speaker 1: not asking you to do the same thing, but as
- 30:32Speaker 1: long as you live inside the walls. You're not our
- 30:34Speaker 1: equal and we won't accept you as one of us.
- 30:37Speaker 1: That's all. Lena's like, that's the good person Kaye was
- 30:41Speaker 1: talking about. Huh. THEO says it's not just them. She
- 30:45Speaker 1: was referring to anyone who fought as hard as they
- 30:47Speaker 1: could against this crappy world that was made by the
- 30:50Speaker 1: same alba as them. Okay, I'm done talking. Oh and
- 30:54Speaker 1: I'm Theoto Rica, call me THEO Arica or cute little
- 30:58Speaker 1: shit pig, whatever you want. Fucking love THEO. Lena says,
- 31:02Speaker 1: I'm sorry for the way I acted. THEO crosses his
- 31:05Speaker 1: arms and is like enough, get over it already. On
- 31:08Speaker 1: Ju and Haudito chuckle right and says I'm executive officer,
- 31:13Speaker 1: second in command right in Chuka. Lena's like, right, write
- 31:16Speaker 1: and continues, First, let me apologize. Your nightly calls made
- 31:21Speaker 1: us think that you were just some wanna be sane
- 31:23Speaker 1: and hypocrite pig, not realizing how much of a pig
- 31:25Speaker 1: she was, and we laughed about how stupid you were.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I apologize for that. I'm sorry. He narrows his eyes.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Now that I've said that, as THEO said, we don't
- 31:35Speaker 1: think of you as an equal or a comrade. You're
- 31:37Speaker 1: an idiot who's stomping on our faces while lecturing us
- 31:39Speaker 1: with platitudes, and that won't change no matter what happens.
- 31:44Speaker 1: If that's okay with you, we'll keep talking to you
- 31:46Speaker 1: to kill time. But personally I don't recommend it. You're
- 31:49Speaker 1: not cut out to be a handler. You should quit. Fuck.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Such a mixed message there. Lena kind of chuckles and
- 31:55Speaker 1: she's like, if it'll help you pass the time, I'll
- 31:57Speaker 1: keep calling ride and laughs. So you're a moron too,
- 32:01Speaker 1: huh oh, right, and send that map. You were too
- 32:04Speaker 1: busy crying yesterday to send it, right geez. Lina's like,
- 32:08Speaker 1: I'll send it right away. Diya picks up and says,
- 32:11Speaker 1: by Major, Malise, this has been dia Irma, how too, says,
- 32:15Speaker 1: how dou to? Nice to meet you. A's like aju
- 32:18Speaker 1: emma Major. She looks over at Karna, who has been
- 32:20Speaker 1: sulking the whole time, and like taps her on the back,
- 32:23Speaker 1: and Karana says, correna cucamila. Then we cut to the
- 32:27Speaker 1: exterior and we hear someone say I'm Leuca, and someone
- 32:29Speaker 1: else say I'm cheese, and someone else say I'm Keno again.
- 32:33Speaker 1: They're obviously not very important because we don't even get
- 32:35Speaker 1: to see who they are. Lena says, thank you everyone,
- 32:39Speaker 1: and the scene fades out. We see the moon in
- 32:42Speaker 1: some clouds and we hear crickets in the background, and
- 32:45Speaker 1: Shin is walking down the hall in the dark and
- 32:49Speaker 1: his power raid makes a sound. Lena says, uh, sorry, Undertaker.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Sin's like yeah, Lena continues, I haven't heard your name,
- 32:59Speaker 1: did you know? I want to give it. Shin's like no,
- 33:02Speaker 1: I've just forgotten. I'm sorry, Shine Nosen. Lena's like Nosen.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Shin says, is something wrong? Lena's like, do you know
- 33:12Speaker 1: someone named Schrey nos H? Shin dead stops so fast
- 33:16Speaker 1: that the camera passes him by and keeps going down
- 33:19Speaker 1: the hall. For a second. I think this is so
- 33:21Speaker 1: fucking cool. And also just to look on his face,
- 33:24Speaker 1: it's the first time we've seen him make any recognizable
- 33:26Speaker 1: expression and it is horror. But just for a second.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Lena says, his personnel name was Doulahan and his mark
- 33:34Speaker 1: was a headless night. We get a close up on
- 33:36Speaker 1: Shin's eye, and we start to get like flashes of
- 33:38Speaker 1: this red haired guy, but we cannot see the dude's eyes,
- 33:41Speaker 1: like they're just scribbled out in black. It's really interesting.
- 33:44Speaker 1: And so it's just a bunch of different flashes of him,
- 33:47Speaker 1: and I think Shin is a kid in one of
- 33:49Speaker 1: the images with him, and he's like smiling and shit,
- 33:51Speaker 1: and the crickets are growing louder as he's seeing these flashes,
- 33:55Speaker 1: and most of them look happy. But then the last
- 33:57Speaker 1: one is someone being pushed to the ground with hand
- 34:00Speaker 1: around their neck, and we cut back to Shin just
- 34:03Speaker 1: his mouth and he smiles and says he's my brother,
- 34:08Speaker 1: and then we get the title card for the next episode.
- 34:10Speaker 1: I'm with you. Yeay, that's it. So closing thoughts, that's
- 34:15Speaker 1: interesting what happened at the end, So something is going
- 34:19Speaker 1: on between Shin and his brother that looked kind of scary.
- 34:22Speaker 1: I guess either Shin was being choked or his brother
- 34:25Speaker 1: was being choked by Chin. I'm not sure, but there's
- 34:27Speaker 1: a problem there. And again, that's like the first time
- 34:30Speaker 1: we've seen Shin have any sort of discernible expression on
- 34:33Speaker 1: his face, So this is important. I'm sure hopefully we'll
- 34:38Speaker 1: figure out what's going on soon because now I'm really interested.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Aside from that, I think the main thing that I
- 34:44Speaker 1: really enjoy about this episode is how open Lena is
- 34:50Speaker 1: to accepting her faults and trying to do better, which
- 34:53Speaker 1: is something that I'm sure we could all learn from it.
- 34:56Speaker 1: It's something that like people really don't like doing, We
- 34:59Speaker 1: don't like admitting that we're wrong. Without these kind of
- 35:02Speaker 1: moments in this episode, in last episode, Lena would have
- 35:05Speaker 1: been this very flat, very kind of du gridery character.
- 35:10Speaker 1: And also the story wouldn't have been as good because
- 35:13Speaker 1: I think I said at the last episode two, like
- 35:16Speaker 1: if everyone had just accepted her, it would have been weird. She,
- 35:20Speaker 1: like her father, it seems, is an idealist in a
- 35:23Speaker 1: country that is killing their own citizens. Well I mean
- 35:28Speaker 1: they were citizens or not anymore, but yeah, and she
- 35:33Speaker 1: has been believing that she's gonna make a difference, but
- 35:37Speaker 1: she's not doing anything that's really important. Having chats with
- 35:41Speaker 1: these kids is not enough to save them, right, So
- 35:45Speaker 1: it's important that she realizes that. And I don't know
- 35:48Speaker 1: just the idea of THEO yelling at her and her
- 35:51Speaker 1: takeaway being like I fucked up. I just think it's great,
- 35:55Speaker 1: but it's interesting to see how everyone else has a
- 35:57Speaker 1: different opinion her uncle is just so resigned to how
- 36:02Speaker 1: terrible things are he's willing to continue to perpetuate it,
- 36:05Speaker 1: which is fucked up. And then Annette just doesn't fucking
- 36:09Speaker 1: care at all and is like, we're from different worlds,
- 36:12Speaker 1: and it's like, no, actually you aren't. You're from the
- 36:17Speaker 1: same country, and you guys fucking basically genocided them like
- 36:24Speaker 1: you weren't from different worlds. The differences are forced. So yeah,
- 36:31Speaker 1: Annette's character kind of bothers me a little bit because
- 36:35Speaker 1: I don't, like, I would hope that I wouldn't be
- 36:37Speaker 1: friends with someone who was this okay with just the
- 36:41Speaker 1: murder of people in our own country, like lots and
- 36:43Speaker 1: lots of murders, like systematic deaths of millions. So yeah,
- 36:49Speaker 1: I mean yeah, and it's a little uncomfortable, which I'm
- 36:53Speaker 1: sure it's supposed to be. But Annett's also resigned to
- 36:56Speaker 1: there's nothing we can do. But I feel like Lena's
- 37:00Speaker 1: uncle is more sad about it than Annette is. But
- 37:03Speaker 1: either way, it's just complacency, right, They're both doing the
- 37:06Speaker 1: same thing. They're not helping anyone. Just because you know
- 37:09Speaker 1: something's wrong doesn't mean you're fixing it. So yeah, So
- 37:14Speaker 1: I'm just really proud of Lena for owning what she's done,
- 37:19Speaker 1: which is just not treated them totally as human. She's
- 37:23Speaker 1: still doing better than a lot of the other people around, obviously,
- 37:26Speaker 1: but not really enough. So yeah, her just being like, no,
- 37:30Speaker 1: I want to learn your guys' names and I still
- 37:32Speaker 1: want to talk to you, and even them being like,
- 37:34Speaker 1: but we don't think of you as a comrade, and
- 37:36Speaker 1: she's like, that's cool because I'm not. I suck. I
- 37:40Speaker 1: don't know. It's nice. And I also really think Shin
- 37:44Speaker 1: is interesting. I mean, not just the whole thing with
- 37:47Speaker 1: his brother apparently, but the way that he has been
- 37:50Speaker 1: talking to everyone is like really just like so kind
- 37:53Speaker 1: of kind to Lena and to his comrades too. I
- 37:58Speaker 1: like that he's willing to quickly accept an apology and
- 38:02Speaker 1: then he doesn't blame her for all the stuff, because honestly,
- 38:05Speaker 1: he is right. What's happening in their country is not
- 38:07Speaker 1: her faults. She's just one person. She didn't start this.
- 38:11Speaker 1: But he does have every right to be mad at her,
- 38:13Speaker 1: and it seems like he's not, which is a little
- 38:16Speaker 1: confusing because this character is supposed to be super bad
- 38:20Speaker 1: and like destroy handlers and I don't really seem like
- 38:24Speaker 1: that's his deal. And then even though he talked to THEO,
- 38:28Speaker 1: like when THEO asked if his commander would do the
- 38:31Speaker 1: same thing, she did not give him an answer. He said,
- 38:35Speaker 1: you think that he wouldn't write because that was the
- 38:37Speaker 1: point that THEO felt bad. And I get that he
- 38:41Speaker 1: felt bad, because it sucks when you yell at someone
- 38:45Speaker 1: and then you make them really really sad. But I
- 38:48Speaker 1: still think that it was an okay thing for him
- 38:50Speaker 1: to do. And I'm glad that the other members of
- 38:54Speaker 1: Spearhead aren't angry at him for saying those things. More
- 38:57Speaker 1: just they thought that his like blow up was not
- 39:00Speaker 1: the best way to handle that. And I think Ryden
- 39:03Speaker 1: is pretty cool too, So basically I just like a
- 39:06Speaker 1: lot of these characters. Oh and then also, I guess
- 39:09Speaker 1: the last thing I want to say is fucking portion.
- 39:15Speaker 1: So Shin is just carrying around five hundred and sixty
- 39:19Speaker 1: one pieces of metal that were from his former comrades
- 39:22Speaker 1: like Juggernauts, that's a lot of death. And since he's
- 39:26Speaker 1: like always the last one, yeah, I can kind of
- 39:29Speaker 1: understand why he's so detached from the rest of Spearhead.
- 39:32Speaker 1: I mean, he's around a lot, but he's very quiet,
- 39:35Speaker 1: very reserved, very much just reading. I guess after that
- 39:41Speaker 1: many deaths and always being the only one who's left
- 39:44Speaker 1: at the end, maybe having you know, genuine relationships with
- 39:49Speaker 1: these people and laughing with them and playing games with them,
- 39:53Speaker 1: maybe that just hurts too much to keep doing, you know.
- 39:56Speaker 1: And I like that that is at least one of
- 39:59Speaker 1: the reasons that he called the Reaper. But there's another one.
- 40:04Speaker 1: That one's gonna be fun, and I bet you don't
- 40:06Speaker 1: know what it is if you haven't watched this before.
- 40:08Speaker 1: So yeah, I think that's pretty much all I have.
- 40:12Speaker 1: But yeah, I'm really liking this watch through of this show.
- 40:16Speaker 1: I mean, I already really liked this show, which is
- 40:19Speaker 1: why I'm doing it. Yeah, I'm excited to see what
- 40:23Speaker 1: you think of the next few episodes and how this goes,
- 40:26Speaker 1: because we are gonna make a turn eventually and things
- 40:30Speaker 1: are gonna get a little bit weirder. But yeah, I
- 40:33Speaker 1: don't know. I hope you like this or whatever. But
- 40:36Speaker 1: that's gonna be it for today, and I hope that
- 40:39Speaker 1: you go and you have a really good whatever, and
- 40:43Speaker 1: hopefully I'll be around in the future, like next week
- 40:46Speaker 1: and we'll do the next episode, which is I'm with you,
- 40:49Speaker 1: I guess, which sounds finally and safe, so that's good.
- 40:54Speaker 1: But yeah, I'll see you sooner or whatever later. Webs
