Walmart’s pouring $3.6 million into a massive overhaul of its Garland, Texas store—covering 23,000 sq ft inside and out—to transform it into a shopper magnet with upgraded restrooms, better pickup zones, a new checkout, relocated pharmacy, and expanded groceries. Part of their broader plan to convert 150+ Neighborhood Markets by 2030, construction starts late January 2027 and wraps by May 2027 (subject to change).
