rooted in Scripture and relevant for today, January 4th.

Rooted for real. Growth doesn't happen overnight.
• 0:14
Seeds take time to develop roots before anything visible appears.
• 0:18
Proverbs chapter 3, verses 1 to 4, reminds us that holding onto
• 0:22
God's commands brings peace and favor, not because God is
• 0:26
strict, but because His ways lead to life.
• 0:29
When His Word settles deep in your heart, it begins to shape
• 0:32
how you think, respond, and choose.
• 0:34
Matthew chapter 1 introduces us to Joseph, a man who faced an
• 0:38
  unexpected and confusing situation.
• 0:41
His plans were disrupted, his reputation was at risk, and yet
• 0:44
he chose obedience. He trusted God's Word over his
• 0:48
own understanding. Through Joseph's obedience, God
• 0:51
brought Jesus into the world, fulfilling his promise to save
• 0:55
his people from their sins. That's what being rooted looks
• 0:58
  like. It's choosing faithfulness even
• 1:00
when the outcome isn't clear. When your heart is rooted in
• 1:03
God, peace becomes possible, even in uncertainty.
• 1:06
You may not control every circumstance, but you can choose
• 1:09
what you're planted in. And when you're planted in God's
• 1:12
truth, your life grows strong, steady, and purposeful.
• 1:16
Let's pray Heavenly Father, help me stay rooted in your Word and
• 1:19
truth. Teach me to trust You even when
• 1:21
life doesn't go as planned. Give me a heart like Joseph's
• 1:24
willing to obey and believe You. Let my life grow in peace and
• 1:28
purpose as I follow you in Jesus name, Amen.
• 1:32

• 5:00
Matthan became the father of Jacob.
• 5:02
Jacob became the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary,
• 5:06
from whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
• 5:09
So all the generations from Abraham to David are 14
• 5:12
generations, from David to the exile to Babylon 14 generations,
• 5:17
and from the carrying away to Babylon to the Christ 14
• 5:20
generations. Now the birth of Jesus Christ
• 5:23
was like this. After his mother Mary was
• 5:26
engaged to Joseph before they came together, she was found
• 5:29
pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Joseph, her husband, being a
• 5:33
righteous man and not willing to make her a public example,
• 5:37
intended to put her away secretly.
• 5:39
But when he thought about these things, behold, an Angel of the
• 5:42
Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph son of David,
• 5:46
Don't be afraid to take to yourself Mary as your wife, for
• 5:49
that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
• 5:52
She shall give birth to a son. You shall name him Jesus, for it
• 5:56
is he who shall save his people from their sins.
• 5:59
Now all this has happened that it might be fulfilled, which was
• 6:02
spoken by the Lord through the prophet saying, Behold, the
• 6:05
virgin shall be with child and shall give birth to a son.
• 6:09
They shall call his name a mammal, which is being
• 6:11
  interpreted. God with us.
• 6:14
Joseph arose from his sleep and did as the Angel of the Lord
• 6:17
commanded him and took his wife to himself and didn't know her
• 6:20
sexually until she had given birth to her first born son.
• 6:24
He named him Jesus. Thanks for joining us on Bible
