- 0:00Speaker 1: It's hot. It's really hot. It's starting to get hot.
- 0:02Speaker 2: And every time, every year my entire life, I always go, oh, so,
- 0:05Speaker 2: just get it hot. And I threw this up on
- 0:08Speaker 2: my Facebook last week just for funzies. I was like,
- 0:10Speaker 2: what did you accidentally leave in a hot car? And
- 0:14Speaker 2: I couldn't believe the comments and the responses and thought
- 0:17Speaker 2: we'd bring it up on the air Lindsey, what did
- 0:20Speaker 2: you leave in a hot car?
- 0:23Speaker 3: Good morning everyone. So I am I have slightly a
- 0:28Speaker 3: diet coke addiction and I was heading to Tampa. I
- 0:31Speaker 3: live out here in Florida, and decided to put a
- 0:34Speaker 3: thirty five pack of diet coke from Sam's Club in
- 0:37Speaker 3: the back of my car. Not thinking I went into
- 0:41Speaker 3: my meeting in Tampa, Florida, and pulled out after the meeting,
- 0:45Speaker 3: and all of a sudden, I hear an explosion. It's like, oh,
- 0:48Speaker 3: my goodness, what is that? Six of them exploded in
- 0:52Speaker 3: the back of my car, but because it was covered
- 0:55Speaker 3: with a plastic, it was loud. So I get to
- 0:58Speaker 3: the hotel, I go to unload the diet coke, the
- 1:01Speaker 3: grenades of diet coke. I pulled them all out and
- 1:04Speaker 3: the last one exploded all over the front of me,
- 1:07Speaker 3: in front of the whole group of people. It was
- 1:09Speaker 3: a mess. It was an absolute disaster.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Now that's something I did. I don't think I knew
- 1:14Speaker 4: that that cans of soda would explode in a hot car,
- 1:16Speaker 4: but I guess it makes sense.
- 1:18Speaker 5: Bob, Bob body.
- 1:20Speaker 1: It was a mess.
- 1:21Speaker 3: The only bright side of it is the plastic contained it,
- 1:24Speaker 3: so it wasn't too big of a mess in my car.
- 1:27Speaker 3: But I was definitely covered in diet coke and of
- 1:29Speaker 3: course in front of all my coworkers in front of
- 1:32Speaker 3: the hotel, just diet coke everywhere.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Well, yeah, it's very funny and sad at the same time.
- 1:37Speaker 2: By the way, Tampa, Florida on the list of the
- 1:39Speaker 2: ten sweatiest cities.
- 1:40Speaker 1: It's number six.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Absolutely, hey, and I actually know all of you. I
- 1:45Speaker 3: have a Love Pup Dog. I actually did the event
- 1:48Speaker 3: at your house back in twenty seventeen for Love Pup
- 1:51Speaker 3: with Carabas.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Oh that black dog that really keep black dog from us?
- 1:57Speaker 3: Yep, I got Hannah. She is nine years old and
- 2:00Speaker 3: she has two four year old brothers right now, two
- 2:03Speaker 3: Golden Retrievers.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Are you still are you still with Carabas.
- 2:07Speaker 3: I am actually with Bonefish Grill now, the same umbrella
- 2:11Speaker 3: of restaurants, and that's how I ended up out here
- 2:14Speaker 3: in Florida.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Well, thanks for listening Lindsey and participating.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I listened to your podcast as I
- 2:20Speaker 3: drive across the state every day.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Wow. Thanks Lindsey. We'll have a great day, stay with
- 2:24Speaker 1: that day of coke.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Yeah. Absolutely.
- 2:28Speaker 2: She listened to the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or
- 2:30Speaker 2: wherever you get podcasts.
- 2:31Speaker 1: You search John Jay and Rich on demand. Abby, Abby,
- 2:34Speaker 1: good morning.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Hey, how are you guys?
- 2:37Speaker 1: What did you accidentally leave in a hot car?
- 2:40Speaker 7: Well?
- 2:40Speaker 6: I live in Glendale, Arizona, so it's very very hot
- 2:44Speaker 6: most days, and I am a respite provider for artistic children,
- 2:50Speaker 6: and in order to transport them, by law, you have
- 2:54Speaker 6: to have a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher
- 2:56Speaker 6: in your car at all times when you're transporting them.
- 3:00Speaker 6: So two summers ago was my first summer. I go
- 3:04Speaker 6: out to the car and I didn't even read the
- 3:06Speaker 6: directions when they gave it to me, So I just
- 3:08Speaker 6: put it in the cup holder of my car door
- 3:12Speaker 6: and just called it good. And it's been there for
- 3:14Speaker 6: you know, eight months, at this point, and I go
- 3:16Speaker 6: out to my car open it up, and at this point,
- 3:20Speaker 6: this poor little elderly couple was walking across the street
- 3:24Speaker 6: when I was doing this, and when I opened it up,
- 3:26Speaker 6: it just exploded. The whole cap fell off. The whole
- 3:29Speaker 6: cap just went like fifty feet in the air. The
- 3:32Speaker 6: fire experiencer fell out of the car. I thought we
- 3:34Speaker 6: were getting shot at, and us in the the elderly
- 3:38Speaker 6: couple both like hit cover. And then in the middle
- 3:43Speaker 6: of the street here comes the little cap just bopped
- 3:46Speaker 6: in the middle.
- 3:46Speaker 8: Of the street.
- 3:48Speaker 6: And then we realized that it was the fire extinguisher
- 3:51Speaker 6: that just exploded out of my the Thank goodness, it
- 3:54Speaker 6: was the car door that was open, because it just
- 3:59Speaker 6: went straight up in the air instead of into the car.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Was there foam everywhere?
- 4:02Speaker 4: There?
- 4:03Speaker 6: Absolute crap out of me?
- 4:04Speaker 8: Huh?
- 4:04Speaker 1: Was there foam everywhere like a you know in the movies.
- 4:07Speaker 6: They sh No, it was just the cap and the Yeah. No,
- 4:12Speaker 6: there was just no foam everywhere. So now I have
- 4:14Speaker 6: to keep I got another one, and I have to
- 4:16Speaker 6: keep it in my backpack, and I just bring my
- 4:18Speaker 6: backpack whenever I have to transport one of the kiddos.
- 4:21Speaker 6: But I don't keep it in my car anymore because
- 4:24Speaker 6: you know, obviously it's not not safe. But I thought
- 4:28Speaker 6: I was getting shot at.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I bet that's crazy. Well, thanks for calling in, Ebbie.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Thanks for listening to Cinnamon. What did you accidentally leave
- 4:36Speaker 2: in a hot car?
- 4:39Speaker 1: Cinnamon?
- 4:40Speaker 7: Oh?
- 4:41Speaker 3: Hey, Hi, good morning you guys.
- 4:42Speaker 7: Sorry I didn't even hear you say my name.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Well, good morning.
- 4:46Speaker 8: An onion.
- 4:47Speaker 6: Actually it had rolled.
- 4:48Speaker 7: Out of a grocery bag, but I didn't realize it
- 4:50Speaker 7: at the time. I just couldn't understand why my car
- 4:52Speaker 7: smelled like Italian.
- 4:56Speaker 4: It started grilling it hot, yeah, and it had.
- 4:59Speaker 7: Got somehow between the second road seat and the third
- 5:03Speaker 7: road seat because I had my third roast seats down
- 5:05Speaker 7: and I've always left them down, so I would search
- 5:07Speaker 7: the car and I'm like, I don't understand where the
- 5:09Speaker 7: smell is coming from until I went to the.
- 5:12Speaker 8: Car wash and they had actually pulled up my seats.
- 5:14Speaker 7: And they're like, ma'am, there's like an onion underneath your
- 5:17Speaker 7: seat and.
- 5:18Speaker 3: I was like what And the smell lasted for mine.
- 5:21Speaker 7: Well, I had gotten the vanilla like air freshener spray
- 5:24Speaker 7: in there, so it smelled like Italian vanilla. It was.
- 5:29Speaker 3: It was awful.
- 5:30Speaker 7: But that's the one thing I miss about Arizona is
- 5:32Speaker 7: the car wash. We don't have those out here in Georgia,
- 5:35Speaker 7: where they detail your car when you bring it through.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Thanks. Thanks for listening to Georgia.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Oh I love it.
- 5:41Speaker 7: I've been listening to you guys since the early two
- 5:43Speaker 7: thousands and so if it wasn't for iHeartRadio, I don't
- 5:46Speaker 7: think i'd be able to like have a little piece of.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Home with me.
- 5:49Speaker 1: That's great.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Thanks for calling.
- 5:51Speaker 7: Me this morning though, I appreciate it.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Thanks Cnemon, Good morning, Celeste, Good morning. Would you leave.
- 6:00Speaker 8: I'm in Colorado and I left edibles like gummy edibles
- 6:05Speaker 8: in my car. They all melt, They all melt together
- 6:09Speaker 8: in like one big.
- 6:10Speaker 9: Glog of edible.
- 6:14Speaker 1: You just eat it like an.
- 6:14Speaker 5: Apple pretty much.
- 6:17Speaker 8: At that point, you just pass it around and everybody
- 6:19Speaker 8: takes a bike.
- 6:22Speaker 4: You created a game without even knowing it.
- 6:24Speaker 8: Yeah, you don't know if you know you're gonna get
- 6:27Speaker 8: a bunch of it, or if you're not gonna get
- 6:29Speaker 8: a bunch of it, or if it all melted into
- 6:31Speaker 8: the other bite. But it's kind of a game of
- 6:34Speaker 8: roulette at that point.
- 6:35Speaker 4: How long does that take fifteen minutes or so to
- 6:37Speaker 4: figure it out once it gets through your system?
- 6:41Speaker 8: No, I think it's more like an hour thirty minutes
- 6:44Speaker 8: to an hour or so for when it, you know,
- 6:48Speaker 8: actually tries to kick in. But our tolerance in Colorado
- 6:52Speaker 8: is pretty high, so we don't. I don't think that
- 6:56Speaker 8: you know it affects U as much. But yeah, and
- 6:59Speaker 8: so now it's I no chocolate, you can't buy chocolate bars.
- 7:04Speaker 8: And yeah, don't leave your Demie edibles in your car
- 7:07Speaker 8: either when it's one hundred degrees outside.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Thanks Ales, thanks for listening.
- 7:12Speaker 8: Thank you guys, have a great days.
- 7:13Speaker 1: What did you accidentally leave in a hot car?
- 7:15Speaker 2: So I put on my Facebook and this I can't
- 7:19Speaker 2: get this visual out of my head because I want
- 7:20Speaker 2: to know what happened. But Sarah says, a stick of
- 7:22Speaker 2: butter in my cup holder? What you dip your lobster in?
- 7:28Speaker 2: Clean the cup holder? Nace Peter says, a gallon of
- 7:32Speaker 2: contact adhesive. The lid blew off, tipped over and spilled
- 7:36Speaker 2: on all over my back seat of my truck. Oh,
- 7:39Speaker 2: Jennifer says, not me, but a girl I went to
- 7:41Speaker 2: cosmetology school with left a thing of hairspray in her
- 7:44Speaker 2: car and it exploded and went.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Through her windshield.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Whoa a camera says, A whole chicken fell out of
- 7:51Speaker 2: the grocery bag and sat in the Tucson sun for
- 7:54Speaker 2: a full day.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I bet that smelled awful.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Totally, Kevin, good morning, What did you leave in a
- 8:00Speaker 2: hot car? Well?
- 8:03Speaker 9: About thirty years I can't hear you, Kevin, Oh, give
- 8:08Speaker 9: me a whole.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I think you got your throat.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Is that better?
- 8:14Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 8:15Speaker 9: All right, I was on a head, said, cheap hats head.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:19Speaker 9: About thirteen years ago, we had gone grocery shopping and
- 8:22Speaker 9: my two oldest were unloading the groceries. Well, they failed
- 8:27Speaker 9: to grab a whole chicken that was in the car. Now,
- 8:33Speaker 9: I don't drive this car. It was my wife's car.
- 8:36Speaker 9: So a couple of days later she kept telling me
- 8:38Speaker 9: how bad the car smelled. I'm like, okay, I didn't
- 8:42Speaker 9: think much about it. So I said, okay, i'll drive
- 8:45Speaker 9: it to work and i'll see what it is. Get
- 8:48Speaker 9: in the car and it's It was the most horrific
- 8:52Speaker 9: smell I have ever. It was just awful. So I
- 8:59Speaker 9: get out of the car and I'm like digging through
- 9:01Speaker 9: everything in this car, not finding the thing. So I
- 9:05Speaker 9: rolled all the windows down, drive to work, and it's
- 9:07Speaker 9: just my head's like half out of the car because
- 9:11Speaker 9: it's just that bad. I get to work and I
- 9:16Speaker 9: decided to pop the trunk. Well that's where the chicken
- 9:22Speaker 9: was discovered.
- 9:23Speaker 5: Would you say that the smell was foul?
- 9:27Speaker 9: Oh, it was beyond foul. It was it took. I
- 9:31Speaker 9: mean we got rid of the car three years. Oh,
- 9:34Speaker 9: never fully went away.
- 9:37Speaker 5: Everywhere. But he didn't pop the trunk. I checked the
- 9:41Speaker 5: whole car, not.
- 9:44Speaker 1: My car.
- 9:44Speaker 9: So but yeah, it was just and I would say
- 9:50Speaker 9: I I had to. I ended up ripping a carpet out.
- 9:55Speaker 10: Just was.
- 9:59Speaker 4: You can like like an odor bomb in your car,
- 10:02Speaker 4: and it's supposed to take out even the like even
- 10:04Speaker 4: burning hair smell. If like it's supposed to kill everything.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Now they can do well.
- 10:10Speaker 9: A friend mine worked at a dealership and he put
- 10:11Speaker 9: no zones in there to my car.
- 10:14Speaker 2: It didn't work, Kevin, thanks for calling in. I let
- 10:17Speaker 2: somebody borrow my car one time and they and they
- 10:19Speaker 2: smoked a cigar in it and wore a bunch of
- 10:21Speaker 2: cologne and it wouldn't come out. I got rid of
- 10:23Speaker 2: the car there's nothing I can do. I did the
- 10:25Speaker 2: Ozone thing. I did everything too really was surprising. Hey,
- 10:28Speaker 2: we're gonna play minute to win it. We need to
- 10:29Speaker 2: contest it right now eight seven seven nine three seven
- 10:33Speaker 2: one o four seven. While we wait for a contestant,
- 10:36Speaker 2: I was going over speaking of heat, because I'm talking
- 10:39Speaker 2: about the there's a list of the the sweatiest cities.
- 10:43Speaker 1: In the United States. Okay, so, and you would think
- 10:47Speaker 1: that Arizona's in there.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Better it should be because we have a dry heat,
- 10:51Speaker 4: I know, somewhere with the humidity.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yes, Flora Georgia.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Yeah, that's true. New Orleans is pretty pretty nice.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Always joke about the dry heat, but it's legit because
- 11:00Speaker 2: if you it could be one hundred and ten and whatever.
- 11:02Speaker 2: And then when you go like when it's dark outside,
- 11:05Speaker 2: it's nice, right, Or if you jump in a pool
- 11:07Speaker 2: and get out and go stand in the shade, it's cold,
- 11:08Speaker 2: it's freezing. It's such a it's such a blessing to
- 11:11Speaker 2: live here. But here are the top ten sweatiest cities.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Number ten is Jacksonville, Florida. Number nine is Houston, Texas.
- 11:18Speaker 4: I lived in for four years. It was miserable. I
- 11:22Speaker 4: went to go visit John Jay in Houston. It's like
- 11:24Speaker 4: he can't to be a slice of air. It's so
- 11:26Speaker 4: humid here you go.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Houston at one point it still might be is the
- 11:29Speaker 2: most air conditioned city in the United States.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Number eight is New Orleans, Louisiana.
- 11:34Speaker 9: Ye.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Then Orlando, Florida, Melbourne, Florida, Honolulu, Hawaii's number four. Fort Myers, Florida.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Miami, Florida is number two, and the number one sweatiest
- 11:45Speaker 2: city in United States is West Palm.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Beach, Florida.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Duh tracks because I'm watching this show on Peacock called
- 11:53Speaker 2: Mia and it takes place in Florida in Miami, and
- 11:56Speaker 2: it's like every time I see footage, I'm like, wow,
- 11:59Speaker 2: that looks so cool, Like it looks so beautiful. It
- 12:01Speaker 2: kind of cool to go if it's there and take
- 12:02Speaker 2: a vacation there. And then I'm like, but everybody there's
- 12:05Speaker 2: in the cartel or hides all their bodies and kills everybody,
- 12:08Speaker 2: according to all the shows I watch, So maybe not.
- 12:11Speaker 5: Yeah, because that Dexter's around there too, isn't it.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what I mean. Dexter, Like
- 12:16Speaker 2: the show right now is like when they kill people
- 12:18Speaker 2: sometimes they kill people. They drop them, They drop them
- 12:20Speaker 2: off in the in the certain bay, gulf streammember the
- 12:23Speaker 2: bay harbor, butcher like, and there must be if that's true,
- 12:26Speaker 2: that's basically there must be a lot of dead bodies
- 12:28Speaker 2: now because they say the Gulf stream takes it out
- 12:29Speaker 2: to the Atlantic, so they all drop them there, so
- 12:31Speaker 2: it'll carry the bodies out to sea and then you
- 12:33Speaker 2: never find them.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Okay, you got one thousand dollars of Pat Hickey's money.
- 12:39Speaker 1: We need to contest.
- 12:40Speaker 2: You just got to answer ten of Rich's questions in
- 12:42Speaker 2: a row. You can't pass. You have to answer, and
- 12:45Speaker 2: you got to do it under a minute. And Dallan,
- 12:48Speaker 2: good morning.
- 12:49Speaker 10: Hey, good morning guys.
- 12:51Speaker 1: What are you doing right now? Where are you going?
- 12:53Speaker 10: I am driving to work. I work for an autism school.
- 12:56Speaker 10: I'm in the marketing director.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Oh and what part of town are you in right now?
- 13:01Speaker 10: Mesa?
- 13:02Speaker 1: Are you on the freeway?
- 13:05Speaker 10: I'm pulling into my shop in about two seconds on power?
- 13:09Speaker 1: Do you want us? Do you want us to wait
- 13:10Speaker 1: for you to park? Or do you want to do
- 13:11Speaker 1: it now?
- 13:13Speaker 10: I'm ready, I'm parking right this second.
- 13:16Speaker 4: Okay, Dllen, I can already tell you sound like a
- 13:17Speaker 4: smart You're gonna do really good on this. Let's get

- 13:22Speaker 4: can't pass. You gotta get them all right, we will
- 13:24Speaker 4: go fast. This newlywed is the singer of Levitating and
- 13:29Speaker 4: don't start now.
- 13:33Speaker 10: Uh oh my gosh, what the heck is her name?
- 13:38Speaker 10: Oh maybe it's a point.
- 13:41Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 13:42Speaker 10: She just got married styles Oh no, oh man.
- 13:49Speaker 4: I at first that it was a girl looking for
- 13:52Speaker 4: dual lipa.
- 13:52Speaker 10: No it is it the girl that's a pitch perfect
- 13:55Speaker 10: that blew up?
- 13:56Speaker 5: No, it is dual lipa.
- 13:59Speaker 10: Isn't that the grow up a pitch perfect three?
- 14:02Speaker 5: Dual leap and pitch perfect three?
- 14:04Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 14:06Speaker 10: For like a split second, or maybe the one with
- 14:09Speaker 10: the European people and the.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Dang you guys.
- 14:18Speaker 10: You know what, rich This is your fault because you
- 14:20Speaker 10: said that I sounded smart.
- 14:22Speaker 5: That's true.
- 14:23Speaker 4: If I said you said stupid, you probably would have
- 14:25Speaker 4: crushed it.
- 14:27Speaker 5: But you do sound smart.
- 14:28Speaker 10: I need you to knock on wood.
- 14:29Speaker 4: I think the smart people know all the tough ones,
- 14:31Speaker 4: but the pop culture ones flip them out.
- 14:35Speaker 10: Okay, well thanks for that down.
- 14:38Speaker 2: You were a lot of fun, though, you were a
- 14:39Speaker 2: lot of fun and thank you for doing what you do.
