- 2:28Speaker 2: leg parlay twenty three eighty four odds.
- 2:32Speaker 1: It's a payout of.

- 2:50Speaker 2: Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, big odds. You brought it in your best
- 2:53Speaker 2: friend today.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Yeah you said it's rivalry week, right, Yeah, you said
- 2:56Speaker 3: this is the week you throw out all the numbers,
- 2:58Speaker 3: you throw out all the data, and immediately I bring
- 3:02Speaker 3: in numbers and data the models here this week three
- 3:05Speaker 3: and two. Last week could have been four and two,
- 3:06Speaker 3: which we can talk about in a second. But three
- 3:08Speaker 3: and two I got back over the hump, and I
- 3:10Speaker 3: leaned on the model last week, but I leaned on
- 3:12Speaker 3: it from memory this week.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I mean, we got to create some separation. It's Tuesday. Also,
- 3:17Speaker 1: we usually oose on Wednesdays. Last week, Josh Pate was like,
- 3:20Speaker 1: old Josh Pate does this. This Josh Pat's going here.
- 3:24Speaker 1: This Josh Pay is model Josh Pay. And I like that.
- 3:27Speaker 1: That's good.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I switched the thing up. You've been two and
- 3:28Speaker 2: three for every single week, and now look at you.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I went moneyball last week. Yeah, and we could have been.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Did you go pait you Georgia Tech?
- 3:37Speaker 3: No?
- 3:37Speaker 1: I went You guys want Georgia Tech. I went Georgia Tech.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I went Georgia Tech as well.
- 3:41Speaker 3: But when you watched the game kickoff, did you immediately
- 3:44Speaker 3: have regrets like I did when I looked.
- 3:46Speaker 2: At the game on the thing? I hope the same
- 3:47Speaker 2: thing is when the game came on, I'm not watching this.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly what I thought. And here's another thing.
- 3:53Speaker 1: When the ball kicked off, did you think the same
- 3:55Speaker 1: thing I did? Immediate regret? Well, I got no interest
- 3:56Speaker 1: in this. I gotta be honest with you. Were good?
- 4:00Speaker 3: No?
- 4:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah?
- 4:00Speaker 2: Hey, by the way, guys. I got coffees for a block, uh,
- 4:03Speaker 2: courtesy of Lindsay.
- 4:06Speaker 1: But earlier in the week they're like, hey, we're gonna
- 4:08Speaker 1: go over SMU. We're over a Littleville. Yep.
- 4:09Speaker 2: So Tuesday night I got the computer, I got the
- 4:12Speaker 2: double chins out.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I'm looking.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I'm trying to find as much data as possibly can
- 4:15Speaker 2: because I don't have something that can just plug stuff
- 4:16Speaker 2: in and just say, Okay, this is my answer.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I did the old fashioned way. You should get one
- 4:20Speaker 1: of these, Yeah, I should. I want to get one
- 4:21Speaker 1: of them.
- 4:21Speaker 2: And I'm like, okay, I simu is my answer. That's
- 4:25Speaker 2: where I'm gonna go for the game. I'll wake up
- 4:27Speaker 2: at seven am and I had a text from Clump
- 4:30Speaker 2: being like, Hey, we're gonna go pick Georgia Tech. Are
- 4:32Speaker 2: you good with this? Josh and Will already said yes.
- 4:36Speaker 2: And then you had a text that said Josh already
- 4:39Speaker 2: said yes, and I.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Said yes because I just assumed both of you had
- 4:42Speaker 3: already said yes.
- 4:42Speaker 1: God bless the wow.
- 4:44Speaker 3: What was the clump, what was the logic behind the shift?
- 4:47Speaker 3: What was the swerve for microphone?
- 4:51Speaker 4: Just felt like, you know, it's gonna be a great game.
- 4:53Speaker 4: And Pitt was gonna upset Georgia Tech. I thought you
- 4:55Speaker 4: guys just locked in. Luckily Will did take them money
- 4:58Speaker 4: line and did hit the pick. But SMU Louisville's terrible game.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I'll tell you exactly what happened. Monday.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I go up to him with the sheet and I go,
- 5:05Speaker 2: why are we going over SMU Louisville. And he's like, well,
- 5:09Speaker 2: there's not a whole lot of great games this weekend.
- 5:12Speaker 2: I go, all right, we can just takeether goes. Well,
- 5:13Speaker 2: then we won't have as many games. It's like, yeah,
- 5:16Speaker 2: we'll have four games to talk about. And then that
- 5:18Speaker 2: was of the conversation and it ends up. I get
- 5:21Speaker 2: a text on Wednesday morning that is seven am, two
- 5:23Speaker 2: hours before we shoot the show.
- 5:25Speaker 4: That is exactly how it went down. I'm driving to
- 5:26Speaker 4: work and I start sweating. As I'm driving, I'm like, man,
- 5:29Speaker 4: maybe we shouldn't pick that game. I think he's right.
- 5:31Speaker 4: And then I sent the text out to everyone and yes, sorry, if.
- 5:36Speaker 1: We wouldn't, if we would only have four, we'd be
- 5:38Speaker 1: all be sitting here too, and too, there's nothing worse
- 5:39Speaker 1: like this. When we get Rivalry week, we get separation
- 5:42Speaker 1: Saturday once again, because we have what sixteen games. Thank
- 5:46Speaker 1: you very much. I appreciate that this is eighth in
- 5:48Speaker 1: the respect. Let's just throw darts at a board. Courtesy
- 5:51Speaker 1: of Josh bay Model.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Wow, this is gonna be Listen, we can do this
- 5:55Speaker 2: show as we find Week fourteen, Robert Wie Week, there's
- 5:57Speaker 2: only one game on this like that matters.
- 5:59Speaker 1: There's a little one game one. I'll give it.
- 6:02Speaker 2: I'll give a point five as well for Iowa Nebraska.
- 6:04Speaker 2: The way George Kittle treated you on national television. That
- 6:08Speaker 2: is crazy.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I'm sitting there, it's I forget what time it is,
- 6:11Speaker 1: maybe about ten thirty at night, and I'm studying for
- 6:13Speaker 1: these games, and I think I'm looking up because I
- 6:14Speaker 1: got a lot of fun facts about some of these rabbits,
- 6:17Speaker 1: some good some good history. And I'm sitting there and
- 6:21Speaker 1: I'm breaking down U n C NC State, trying to
- 6:23Speaker 1: find a little nugget. And all of a sudden, my
- 6:25Speaker 1: TV sitting at volume eight and I see Scott Van
- 6:28Speaker 1: Pelton and all I hear is like, I know you
- 6:29Speaker 1: want to address your buddy from Nebraska. We'll get into
- 6:33Speaker 1: that later this show. And I just like look over
- 6:35Speaker 1: to the TV. What the is he really about to
- 6:38Speaker 1: turn it all the way up to thirty two. Sit
- 6:39Speaker 1: there and wait, sit there and wait just for him
- 6:42Speaker 1: to say it. Just for him. I was like, I
- 6:44Speaker 1: know he's gonna come with some heat against Nebraska. George
- 6:47Speaker 1: Kittle did a great job. He cut a great promo.
- 6:49Speaker 1: That was a WW type promo. But you know he
- 6:52Speaker 1: loves Yeah. Is there anything you'd like to say back
- 6:54Speaker 1: to Jordan in this moment. We'll find out come come Friday,
- 6:58Speaker 1: because he's setting himself up in a bad way. Was
- 7:00Speaker 1: that we got He's in there talking about the Penn State.
- 7:03Speaker 1: You guys lose to Penn State by thirty and I'm
- 7:05Speaker 1: thinking in my head, you think we practiced one rep
- 7:07Speaker 1: last week against Penn State? Like this entire focus these
- 7:11Speaker 1: last two weeks has been out on iowall football. The
- 7:13Speaker 1: scout team was actually just drawing up for IOWAY. Yeah.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Yeah, what Penn State was to Nebraska last week? It
- 7:20Speaker 3: was sort of like the Illinois Eastern Illinois to Alabama. Yeah,
- 7:23Speaker 3: you know, like you're Samford to Texas A and M.
- 7:25Speaker 3: It's just a tune up week.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Yeah that that was a meaningless game and we approached
- 7:29Speaker 1: it that way. Oh, you like to get an oar
- 7:31Speaker 1: doozy approach. Yeah, there we go. They beat us by
- 7:34Speaker 1: one hundred. Yeah, you don't give a shit you did.
- 7:37Speaker 3: You did take Nebraska as a lock last week, however,
- 7:40Speaker 3: irrelevant last week's because.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I put it. He still put it in our show.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I'm just a fan. I'm like, yeah, we're probably gonna
- 7:47Speaker 1: mop this team. And then I find out afterwards, Oh,
- 7:50Speaker 1: we didn't practice any reps against.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Because you didn't make yourself the story. You stayed out
- 7:54Speaker 3: of their business last week.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Yeah. Like, I'm gonna do me and I'm right with
- 7:57Speaker 1: the boys all day. Twenty four, seven sixty.
- 8:00Speaker 2: The funniest thing you've said this throughout this entire Iowa
- 8:03Speaker 2: Penn State doesn't matter is the scouting thing. Because Iowa's
- 8:07Speaker 2: playbook is about this density. So for you guys to
- 8:10Speaker 2: take an extra week of scouting, the same four plays
- 8:13Speaker 2: they run.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and then it's just drill, phy, physicality, drill.
- 8:17Speaker 2: They have three runs and then three more runs at
- 8:21Speaker 2: the exact same blocking scheme with the quarterback running the ball.
- 8:24Speaker 1: All they need to do is break one, because that's
- 8:25Speaker 1: what they did last year. They broke one play. I
- 8:28Speaker 1: think it was a screen to the running back. They
- 8:30Speaker 1: took to the house the biggest play, their only play
- 8:32Speaker 1: the game. They ended up beating this That might be
- 8:35Speaker 1: the most boring game. And I don't mean that disrespectfully.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah, look like you just got to play great defense
- 8:39Speaker 2: and if whoever scores three first.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I would Nebraska. This Friday is for the Sikos. Like
- 8:45Speaker 1: to watch punts, They want to watch defense. We need
- 8:47Speaker 1: Nebraska's run defenses show up because it's matchup and the
- 8:50Speaker 1: trenches is it's scary hours.
- 8:52Speaker 2: But yeah, because they got a good guard, the good
- 8:54Speaker 2: guard and tackle that are like, we're all big ten
- 8:57Speaker 2: last year, I think with like all American preseason as well.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it'll be fun. Iowa Hate week, Iowa Hate Week.
- 9:04Speaker 2: So I guess there's one and a half games.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I got a couple bones to pick with Josh. Where
- 9:10Speaker 1: we get good, I'll sit back the trouble job he
- 9:14Speaker 1: did with Lane Kiffin. A fan of it or not
- 9:16Speaker 1: a fan of it? Not a fan?
- 9:17Speaker 2: Okay, explain to me why because I fell for it. Okay,
- 9:20Speaker 2: let's talk. You want to talk as if Josh is
- 9:22Speaker 2: not here right now?
- 9:23Speaker 1: Or do you want to add we can we can
- 9:25Speaker 1: do that. I look at Josh Payton and this is
- 9:27Speaker 1: the this is my north star of college football information.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Did you hold him to such a high standard. I've
- 9:33Speaker 1: been following this man for what two three years now? Yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I've been I've been following that man for two three
- 9:39Speaker 1: years now, and I'm in the loure. I'm in his
- 9:42Speaker 1: twitter verse like I'm in the I'm in the know
- 9:45Speaker 1: with the jokes. Yes, I'm a fan. I see when
- 9:48Speaker 1: haters say stuff and I'm thinking myself, I know what
- 9:50Speaker 1: he's going to do here, and he does it. Like
- 9:51Speaker 1: I just I feel like I know this man's playbook.
- 9:54Speaker 1: So when he came out and tweeted whatever he tweeted
- 9:57Speaker 1: about Lane Kiffin, like I just found out where he's going,
- 10:00Speaker 1: all I gotta say is Wow, whatever it was, I'm like,
- 10:02Speaker 1: if there's one man in this game that would know
- 10:06Speaker 1: that answer and then would feel comfortable enough to tweet
- 10:08Speaker 1: something like that, it would be Josh Payton. So I'm
- 10:11Speaker 1: thinking this dude, No, So I text him like, where's
- 10:13Speaker 1: he going? Not a response? Same hit the tweets. A
- 10:16Speaker 1: couple of times. I was just like, Hey, where's he going?
- 10:20Speaker 1: And he hits me with whatever I said on Busting yesterday. Yeah,
- 10:24Speaker 1: read the text let me see here. Just take a minute.
- 10:27Speaker 1: I'm looking this up. As I take a minute to
- 10:29Speaker 1: look again, make sure you are subscribed to this channel.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Make sure you're leaving comments throughout this episode. We're gonna
- 10:34Speaker 1: have a lot of fun, talk a lot of ball,
- 10:36Speaker 1: he responded. When people tell you Link Kiffin is the
- 10:39Speaker 1: world's best show, I'll always remember there's at least one better.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Can I ask you a specific question?
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, between remember and theirs? Is there four dots or
- 10:48Speaker 2: three dots?
- 10:49Speaker 1: Four dots? Okay, so you got the same one.
- 10:52Speaker 2: So I saw that, saw it, and I have not
- 10:55Speaker 2: like I have heard whispers about this Josh pet guy
- 10:58Speaker 2: college foot bahlahlah blah, mostly from you and other people
- 11:00Speaker 2: for the last couple of years, but until Georgia I'm
- 11:04Speaker 2: sorry Oregon versus Ohio State last year when we met
- 11:07Speaker 2: him and like, Yo, you got to meet.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Josh P I'm like, why do I keep knowing?
- 11:10Speaker 3: Yo?
- 11:10Speaker 1: Get the aviator. He's the dude in college football. You
- 11:14Speaker 1: got to meet him? So you like wing me over, Josh,
- 11:16Speaker 1: you da have him up. He is my boy. Tami, Hey,
- 11:17Speaker 1: good to meet you.
- 11:18Speaker 2: And since that moment, I've been kind of following Josh
- 11:21Speaker 2: Pate and so but truly, I'm like, I'm not as
- 11:23Speaker 2: like in the world of the twitter s fere, but
- 11:25Speaker 2: I like, I watched him afar and I'm like, Wow,
- 11:27Speaker 2: this dude really is a man that holds himself above
- 11:32Speaker 2: college football like he is like when college football is
- 11:34Speaker 2: in a scared situation. They looked at Josh Pate.
- 11:38Speaker 1: But also good enough, also good enough to know doesn't
- 11:41Speaker 1: take himself so seriously that he will get in the
- 11:43Speaker 1: gutter with some people and have some good troll jobs.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Perfect balance of serious and focus to where a head
- 11:49Speaker 2: coach would look at him like I'm gonna give this
- 11:50Speaker 2: information because I trust him, but still like turns around
- 11:53Speaker 2: is like is a boy in one hand.
- 11:55Speaker 1: You feel a level of comfort when he walks into
- 11:57Speaker 1: a room, got a lot of influence.
- 11:58Speaker 2: That's the perfect amount of balance. So I saw Josh's tweet.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I screenshot it. I said, top five clickbait, dot dot dot.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Where's he? Where's he headed?
- 12:07Speaker 2: I emoji an hour later, oh four hours later, sends
- 12:12Speaker 2: me a text. When people tell you Lane Kiff is
- 12:15Speaker 2: the world's best troll, always remember four dots. There's at
- 12:19Speaker 2: least one better.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I just I just remember, like whispering in my breath,
- 12:23Speaker 1: this cocksucker, because I fell for it.
- 12:25Speaker 2: I fell for you thought, Okay, you saw the tweet
- 12:30Speaker 2: and we're like, well.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Coop dropped in the group chat information. Josh pay tweeted,
- 12:34Speaker 1: like the guy knows now I fell for it. Damn.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Do you want to bring him back in the conversation. Yeah,
- 12:41Speaker 1: that's what we bring it back in.
- 12:43Speaker 5: Got the same exactly.
- 12:44Speaker 4: I got a text that said, when people tell you
- 12:46Speaker 4: Lane Kiffin is the world's best troll, always remember four dots.
- 12:50Speaker 5: There's at least one better.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Sorry you as quick what it as we think, or
- 12:54Speaker 2: you just have he roll index of responses.
- 12:56Speaker 1: He is, but I'm sure his phone was blowing up
- 12:58Speaker 1: right when that moment happened. Had gold through group chats
- 13:01Speaker 1: like everybody's like, he knows, he knows, he knows. Yeah.
- 13:05Speaker 3: Worst thing about this show when it airs will be
- 13:07Speaker 3: I sent that to like a dozen other people. They
- 13:10Speaker 3: will see this and I will be exposed even further
- 13:13Speaker 3: than I've been exposed this week so far. When you're
- 13:15Speaker 3: on one though, when you got a good line, most
- 13:17Speaker 3: of the time you give it to one person. I
- 13:19Speaker 3: happened to be in that unique position where I thought
- 13:21Speaker 3: I had a good one. Four hundred people were asking
- 13:24Speaker 3: me the same thing, and I just copy paste, copy paste,
- 13:26Speaker 3: copy paste, copy paste. Lane himself hit me up, Chris
- 13:29Speaker 3: Lowe hit me up, like a lot of really distinguished
- 13:33Speaker 3: true north stars of college football hit me yep.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I didn't care.
- 13:36Speaker 3: But when you two hit me and I realized what
- 13:40Speaker 3: I thought was clear sarcasm. Clearly a joke had not
- 13:44Speaker 3: landed to the point where both of you took it seriously, That's.
- 13:47Speaker 1: When I went, uh oh, yeah, that's I will say.
- 13:52Speaker 1: It's like some of those networks, like they might have
- 13:55Speaker 1: those reactions, but there's something where they they're over on
- 13:58Speaker 1: the other side of the line, or they would get that
- 13:59Speaker 1: joke and that it comes back to you and they're like,
- 14:01Speaker 1: oh man, they didn't get it, Like I missed, I
- 14:02Speaker 1: whiffed on this troll. You got it everybody, Yeah, you
- 14:06Speaker 1: got everybody. It's up to everybody. You sent that copy
- 14:08Speaker 1: and paste too. Now to when you send them a message,
- 14:11Speaker 1: we just now have to be arm in arm and
- 14:12Speaker 1: just respond back copy and paste question mark. Yeah.
- 14:19Speaker 3: So it's my retirement from comedy.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I'm done. I'm done until twenty twenty. I'm done. Yeah,
- 14:24Speaker 1: I'm I'm a journalist and miss you gotta keep swinging,
- 14:28Speaker 1: You gotta keep swinging. You don't missed it.
- 14:30Speaker 2: There's been so many times in the show you've done
- 14:33Speaker 2: a joke and it's hit.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Do you think I should miss more so that jokes land? Yeah?
- 14:38Speaker 3: Do you think that my and of course I don't
- 14:40Speaker 3: take myself too seriously, but do you think that my
- 14:44Speaker 3: being above the fray, my integrity, my self proclaimed authority
- 14:48Speaker 3: over this sport.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Worked against me? I think it did.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Yeah, So I think I need to back off that
- 14:52Speaker 3: stuff about twenty five percent intentionally with Maybe that's what
- 14:55Speaker 3: I've been doing in every two and three weeks so
- 14:57Speaker 3: far this year, so that I can afford to be
- 15:00Speaker 3: a little more loose, a little more reckless, you know,
- 15:02Speaker 3: get a little sideways and turn four and not everyone
- 15:04Speaker 3: looks at the car saying, oh man, is he wrecking? Yeah, no,
- 15:07Speaker 3: it's just dirt track. I'm doing it on purpose. It's
- 15:09Speaker 3: the hero's journey.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Right. Let me ask you this.
- 15:11Speaker 2: You said something in that in that little monologue there
- 15:14Speaker 2: that maybe you've been doing it all along with the
- 15:16Speaker 2: two and threes. Maybe this is the new Josh Peyton.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Now that we see at three and two. So you
- 15:20Speaker 2: have to ask yourself this, Do you want to be
- 15:22Speaker 2: a guy that does whiffs on jokes and trolls the
- 15:23Speaker 2: whole entire world but is positive every single week in
- 15:26Speaker 2: the gambling or do you want to flip it and
- 15:28Speaker 2: go two and three and always be able to read
- 15:29Speaker 2: the room correctly?
- 15:33Speaker 1: Can I think on that? Yeah?
- 15:34Speaker 2: Oh yeah, this is this is We can sit here
- 15:36Speaker 2: all day, we have nothing but time.
- 15:38Speaker 1: My second bone to pick with you? Oh oh fauld
- 15:44Speaker 1: on lights were not going to the game, not going
- 15:46Speaker 1: to Michigan, Ohio State, And I saw I saw everybody
- 15:48Speaker 1: kind of coming after you too. They're they're labeling how
- 15:50Speaker 1: many times you went to Bam, how many times all
- 15:52Speaker 1: these SEC games you go to instead of the audience,
- 15:54Speaker 1: this is the only game that matters, and you got
- 15:56Speaker 1: Ohio State, Michigan that the heat. Just how insane this
- 16:01Speaker 1: game is and not everything around it.
- 16:03Speaker 2: The greatest rebel in sports. But this robbery is at
- 16:06Speaker 2: its peak right now.
- 16:08Speaker 3: No one needs to explain to me how big the
- 16:11Speaker 3: game is. For instance, I've been to the last four,
- 16:14Speaker 3: including a couple of years ago when Michigan won in
- 16:17Speaker 3: the snow in ann Arbor, it's a noon kickoff, so
- 16:20Speaker 3: you can get back to Detroit Airport and you can
- 16:22Speaker 3: get your flight home to Nashville.
- 16:23Speaker 1: You see Taylor in the terminal.
- 16:25Speaker 3: You say, hey, Taylor, say say, Because he's born in
- 16:28Speaker 3: the same flight as you, you've never brought it up
- 16:30Speaker 3: to his face until now, but.
- 16:31Speaker 1: He just kind of big times you there. He came
- 16:37Speaker 1: and he had that one ready to go. I zoned out.
- 16:40Speaker 2: I didn't catch everything you say because I was a point.
- 16:41Speaker 2: I'd be like, oh, Jack went to that game, the
- 16:43Speaker 2: Snow Game, and that's making his point. You're saying you
- 16:46Speaker 2: went to the Snow Game.
- 16:47Speaker 3: I'm saying you became aware of me documented earlier today,
- 16:51Speaker 3: last year. But you first spoke to me two or
- 16:57Speaker 3: three years ago in Detroit Airport. You remember it was
- 17:00Speaker 3: the same day. You don't remember, clearly, let me inform you.
- 17:02Speaker 1: It was the same day. Is this the Snow game?
- 17:05Speaker 3: It's the Snow Game, but it's the same day as
- 17:08Speaker 3: the fourth and thirty one Iron Bowl ending. Because the
- 17:11Speaker 3: entire airport went crazy because we're about to board a flight.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Separately.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Clearly, you and I are about to board a flight
- 17:18Speaker 3: back home to Nashville, and that that Bama fourth and
- 17:21Speaker 3: thirty one play happened because I remember that was that day.
- 17:24Speaker 3: So whatever Michigan Ohio State game was that day, it
- 17:26Speaker 3: was the fourth and thirty one.
- 17:27Speaker 2: You know, you have two mixed up because the Snow
- 17:29Speaker 2: game I had in my back pocket just now.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I did not go to that game. Jack went to
- 17:33Speaker 1: that game. Was that twenty three Taylor was the game
- 17:35Speaker 1: that we I know, I know.
- 17:36Speaker 2: And then when you said the Alabama, Mitch and I
- 17:38Speaker 2: were sitting in the terminal with a bag full of
- 17:41Speaker 2: candy after watching the game, watching that fourth and what
- 17:45Speaker 2: thirty one, watching that fourth thirty one in the Iron
- 17:48Speaker 2: Bowl in that terminal.
- 17:48Speaker 1: So now you're I'm back with you. Was the snow game,
- 17:51Speaker 1: twenty one Snow game.
- 17:52Speaker 3: I was also at that one, and then I was
- 17:54Speaker 3: at twenty two, and then I was at twenty three.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I've been to the last four.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I think by the way we can get into
- 17:59Speaker 2: how I am to be a better friend to you,
- 18:00Speaker 2: even though I don't know we were friends at that
- 18:01Speaker 2: time yet. So it's really not my bad at all.
- 18:03Speaker 2: You need to go to the game. You have to
- 18:05Speaker 2: have you been to the last four? Yeah, you have
- 18:07Speaker 2: to go to this oh, I said, where you're going?
- 18:09Speaker 1: Yeah? What was the energy? Yeah? What happened at the game?
- 18:13Speaker 1: Or we were saying what? Oh? I said? I said congrats,
- 18:18Speaker 1: and I said, hey, how are you doing?
- 18:19Speaker 3: You can say hey, man, appreciate it, you know, like
- 18:21Speaker 3: you like you would any other stranger.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Do we know each other? Clearly?
- 18:26Speaker 3: No?
- 18:27Speaker 1: So you okay? So clearly? So have we met before
- 18:30Speaker 1: that moment? I don't think so. Okay.
- 18:32Speaker 2: So a very handsome bald guy walks up to me
- 18:34Speaker 2: in terminal after my team just one was it two
- 18:39Speaker 2: or three in a row?
- 18:40Speaker 3: That would have been three in a row, right, those
- 18:44Speaker 3: twenty three regardless.
- 18:46Speaker 1: So I'm I'm in a great mood. Mitch.
- 18:49Speaker 2: He's a he's a quote unquote state fan. We get
- 18:51Speaker 2: a bunch of candy. I'm like, hey, you'll eat your feelings.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I'll eat my happiness. Let's get in here and.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Eat this tea. Understandable. And you come up to me.
- 18:57Speaker 2: We don't know each other, and you just say congrats,
- 19:00Speaker 2: and I say, hey, thank you very much.
- 19:02Speaker 1: No, there was no very much.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Oh, thank you, thanks Bud. Like you would any usher
- 19:06Speaker 3: walking by, you just appreciate him. Man, thanks, thanks Bud.
- 19:11Speaker 1: You see your stories following apart.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Dude, we could be two years down the road right now.
- 19:15Speaker 3: We could be two further years down the road. We
- 19:17Speaker 3: could have been first fight. We could have been two
- 19:19Speaker 3: years down the road if you would have.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Walked out to me and said, Taylor, Josh, paid great
- 19:22Speaker 2: to meet you, and I'd be like, yo, I think
- 19:24Speaker 2: I know.
- 19:24Speaker 1: That name from somewhere, Josh. What do you do? Oh,
- 19:27Speaker 1: I'm the commissioner of college. Like. Oh, Bro, you're the guy.
- 19:30Speaker 1: You're the guy that people keep talking about all the time,
- 19:32Speaker 1: and you're on your web.
- 19:32Speaker 2: You're crushing here. Hey, how to seat you? See this
- 19:35Speaker 2: fourth and thirty one going right now, right now at
- 19:36Speaker 2: the Iron Bowl. Why don't you say no, get a
- 19:38Speaker 2: little closer, get in here, and then we get on
- 19:40Speaker 2: my phone and we sit there.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Bro huh.
- 19:42Speaker 2: And that's how our friendship starts. Friendship does the show? Hey,
- 19:45Speaker 2: congrats on the game. Keep walking because you tried to
- 19:48Speaker 2: play cool and I would have loved to be your friend.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Here's the problem.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Neither of you, neither of you are going to understand
- 19:53Speaker 3: this because you're not introverted. You're not introverted. I pretend
- 19:57Speaker 3: I'm not on air, but I'm actually introverted socially, So
- 20:01Speaker 3: it's just not my DNA to.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Dude claims to be introverted as well, you're not. You
- 20:04Speaker 1: were not. I believe I'm introverted. You're introverted. There's no way.
- 20:07Speaker 1: He likes.
- 20:08Speaker 2: He likes his home time, he likes his uh will
- 20:11Speaker 2: will likes to recharge with himself.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I do.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I don't like to be around like you know, that's
- 20:16Speaker 3: not being when you walk into a room, you're comfortable
- 20:20Speaker 3: in the center of the room if you're going to
- 20:22Speaker 3: be at all the time.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I'm never comfortable in this. I'm comfortable if I know everybody.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Hm hmm. That's when I least like, you know, we
- 20:29Speaker 1: can do we can take a test. We do one
- 20:31Speaker 1: of those acronym tests. Any A Graham. Any a Graham
- 20:35Speaker 1: was like one hundred fifty questions eight wing six, something
- 20:38Speaker 1: like that. The moon, the moon. There's another one to
- 20:40Speaker 1: where it's like, uh, you know, it's just like the
- 20:42Speaker 1: alphabet and you take four of the letters, you put
- 20:43Speaker 1: them together. You got access right the moon, Ya, I
- 20:48Speaker 1: got no clue what we're talking about her. You don't
- 20:52Speaker 1: know your sign?
- 20:53Speaker 3: I don't I know December December seven.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Please look up what you can bring up. You should
- 20:59Speaker 1: bring the date, the date you were born in location,
- 21:02Speaker 1: and they'll have this moon thing that like basically explains
- 21:05Speaker 1: you perfectly. Yeah, you're a star. There you go. What's
- 21:09Speaker 1: what's what's the what's the sign? I know it's not
- 21:11Speaker 1: a new thought. That's like, but when I plugged it in.
- 21:16Speaker 2: No, Like, there's like a scorpios, a scorpion, A Leo's
- 21:18Speaker 2: a lion. A cancer is like a crab or some
- 21:21Speaker 2: shit like that.
- 21:22Speaker 5: Sagittarius is like a unicorn or some ship.
- 21:25Speaker 1: No, I think there's a centaur. Is there a sense? Yeah,
- 21:30Speaker 1: September nineteenth, nineteen eight, then I anybody anyone does? No
- 21:38Speaker 1: one have it center? That's dope it is.
- 21:41Speaker 2: But you having the introvert conversation, I fully understand how
- 21:45Speaker 2: you would go, Hey, congratulations, that's you really getting out
- 21:47Speaker 2: of your wheelhouse and how comfortable you are.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I laid myself on the line.
- 21:51Speaker 2: It sounds like, well from an introverts perspective, absolutely yeah.
- 21:54Speaker 2: But if I saw somebody that I knew and that
- 21:55Speaker 2: I thought to myself, I'd like to be friends of
- 21:57Speaker 2: that individual. I'm also an extrovert, so I would definitely
- 22:01Speaker 2: just come up on you.
- 22:02Speaker 3: So as an extrovert, you saw me say hey to you.
- 22:05Speaker 3: You received it, but really you ran it through your
- 22:07Speaker 3: filter and decided. I don't know if I want to
- 22:09Speaker 3: boy say hello to Pat Patrick?
- 22:11Speaker 1: Pat, Hello, thank you. Yeah. No, it's been a it's
- 22:15Speaker 1: been a hard fought battle at eating. It's tough for.
- 22:22Speaker 2: I mean, I mean vegetables. I'm I'm I'm on the
- 22:25Speaker 2: non Thanksgiving Thanksgiving plan right now.
- 22:28Speaker 1: But you remember that mental toughness of being offensive Lineman
- 22:32Speaker 1: this moment to be able to move. Yeah, that I'm
- 22:36Speaker 1: gonna eat turkey. I'm gonna have mascutatos this week. He's right, dude.
- 22:43Speaker 1: That that's a problem is I'd become a bully eat.
- 22:45Speaker 1: I need to become the bully earth. Yeah, what's up Paton?
- 22:55Speaker 3: Brother Patrick? I need you to do me a favor
- 22:57Speaker 3: right quick if you can. Yeah, I have no interest
- 23:00Speaker 3: in picking Ohio State in front of my good friend here,
- 23:03Speaker 3: so I'm gonna outsource it to you for later in
- 23:05Speaker 3: the show. Ohio State, Michigan. You have a pick yet
- 23:07Speaker 3: for this weekend?
- 23:08Speaker 1: I can't get that right now. I got that place? Hey, Pat,
- 23:15Speaker 1: you remember our text exchange from last year, don't make
- 23:17Speaker 1: the same mistake. Don't make the same mistake. I have
- 23:21Speaker 1: not done done. What a time to turn it around?
- 23:27Speaker 1: You you stand up, shirt offs, start seeing mister brightside.
- 23:30Speaker 1: We're going blue a moment, God bless what up?
- 23:37Speaker 2: What up?
- 23:43Speaker 1: Ok? A thousand? He didn't say nothing, done done. He
- 23:48Speaker 1: didn't say nothing. He didn't say he didn't say he
- 23:51Speaker 1: didn't say anything. I heard him whisper him, but it
- 23:53Speaker 1: had to be. It was probably the WiFi. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:55Speaker 1: he didn't say any fair enough, got you? Okay, fair,
- 23:58Speaker 1: that's fair?
- 23:59Speaker 3: Pat?
- 24:00Speaker 5: Are you on TV this week?
- 24:02Speaker 1: No? No, we're home. Do you want to stop by
- 24:05Speaker 1: today and talk about getting murdered by Kittle? Absolutely? I
- 24:09Speaker 1: would love to. Okay, okay, yeah that yeah, that works.
- 24:15Speaker 1: That's how we are right now. Yeah, that'll work for
- 24:18Speaker 1: the brother.
- 24:26Speaker 2: I think if we went back in time and I
- 24:30Speaker 2: was fully aware aware of josh P, I would have
- 24:33Speaker 2: made a different decision there. Or maybe I'm just so
- 24:36Speaker 2: I'm winded by happiness in that moment. I'm not my
- 24:39Speaker 2: my best self.
- 24:40Speaker 3: It was the day, so it was the day more
- 24:41Speaker 3: than it was me.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I would. I would.
- 24:43Speaker 2: I would say that because I love where we're at now.
- 24:45Speaker 2: But just thinking the fact that we could be two
- 24:47Speaker 2: years ahead of where we are now. I can't go
- 24:50Speaker 2: into that thought process.
- 24:51Speaker 1: It will just make me sad. Yeah, it's a long day,
- 24:54Speaker 1: long day, long day. We have fun, got a lot
- 24:57Speaker 1: of games to talk about, a lot of games to
- 24:58Speaker 1: talk about.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Right here, you guys are the game is talk about.
- 25:00Speaker 2: There's only one game that matters. There's only one game
- 25:03Speaker 2: that matters on that.
- 25:04Speaker 1: And shall we kick it off? Let's do it, let's
- 25:07Speaker 1: do it? Any more bones to pick the josh? I
- 25:09Speaker 1: have no bones.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Think we emptied the clip this morning, glad I were
- 25:12Speaker 3: white leading everywhere.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I would like to point out, and you guys know
- 25:16Speaker 2: no one noticed it. But no boot, no boot, no
- 25:19Speaker 2: reason to give a round of applause for that.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Fuck out. You can't you can't do that, and then
- 25:24Speaker 1: be like nobody do anything. You guys don't have to.
- 25:27Speaker 1: It's called sarcasm. Did you beat gout? Do you think
- 25:29Speaker 1: you beat gout? No?
- 25:31Speaker 2: I think right now, I'm not gonna say what I
- 25:35Speaker 2: was just gonna say, but I think I'm on the mend.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Today is judgment Day. I got vans on. I woke
- 25:41Speaker 2: up this morning, I got into bed and I'm thinking myself,
- 25:43Speaker 2: Please God, no no pain. When I put these feet
- 25:46Speaker 2: on the ground and there was no pain, and so
- 25:48Speaker 2: I started walking. I was like to put these vans on,
- 25:51Speaker 2: and if tomorrow I have foot pain. There's two There's
- 25:54Speaker 2: two answers. One is I could probably never wear Vans
- 25:58Speaker 2: or Chucks again, and that changes my entire identity. And
- 26:02Speaker 2: two is I'm not out of the woods with goal.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Those are the two things that one does. So today's
- 26:06Speaker 2: a big judgment day. I'll keep you posted and please
- 26:09Speaker 2: do face group chat.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Yeah, please do yeah, copy and paste. We're gonna take
- 26:12Speaker 1: a quick break and bring you and shout out our
- 26:14Speaker 1: sponsor Form Energy. Form Energy delivers best in class tastes

- 26:30Speaker 1: are somebody who wakes up early in the morning, grinds,

- 26:34Speaker 1: work in and gives it therow when they come home.
- 26:36Speaker 1: You wore a Form Energy candidate form Energy. We do
- 26:40Speaker 1: the work, drink form energy. Let's get back to this episode.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Here we go. We got the Egg Bowl Old Myths
- 26:45Speaker 1: at Mississippi State. The line on this game Old Miss
- 26:48Speaker 1: is favored by six and a half. The over under
- 26:49Speaker 1: on this game at sixty two and a half. We
- 26:51Speaker 1: have an announcement happening after the game where Lane Kippin's
- 26:54Speaker 1: gonna go. This is about as big of a moment
- 26:57Speaker 1: as it gets for Old Miss. They're gonna keep their
- 26:59Speaker 1: head coach after the game's over. Has all of this
- 27:02Speaker 1: drama is going to affect this Old Miss football team
- 27:04Speaker 1: who's sitting there, prime and ready to go for the
- 27:06Speaker 1: college football playoff. If they win this game in the
- 27:10Speaker 1: lane leaves as Ole Miss. You know what's the playoff
- 27:13Speaker 1: look like for them? Right? People are gonna say they
- 27:15Speaker 1: want him out of the plaoff. They don't have Lane Kiffin,
- 27:17Speaker 1: which is crazy.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I mean, regardless, that's still a playoff worthy roster, is
- 27:21Speaker 2: it not.
- 27:24Speaker 1: That's a great Josh pay question.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Look, I think so, Yeah, I think so. I think
- 27:27Speaker 3: that's more taught than something the actual committee. I mean,
- 27:30Speaker 3: do we really think the committee chair is going to
- 27:32Speaker 3: get on the TV on Sunday and say we did
- 27:35Speaker 3: like this team, but now that they haven't lost a
- 27:37Speaker 3: single player, but their head coach is gone. If he's gone,
- 27:40Speaker 3: by the way, then sorry, it's over.
- 27:43Speaker 1: You're dead.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Bye right, welcome, welcome home, Bring him young, Just as
- 27:47Speaker 3: an example, do we really think that's gonna happen. I
- 27:49Speaker 3: don't think that's gonna happen. What I do think is
- 27:51Speaker 3: it's going to be a moot point because I do
- 27:53Speaker 3: think Ole Miss is going to win this game and
- 27:55Speaker 3: cover because I kind of view Mississippi State is out
- 27:57Speaker 3: of gas, which of course they would want to have
- 27:59Speaker 3: said live on air or recorded whatever we are today.
- 28:02Speaker 3: And I know it's going to be in the hype video,
- 28:04Speaker 3: and I know it's going to be shown around the building.
- 28:06Speaker 1: That's okay.
- 28:07Speaker 3: I'm down for providing fuel for an entertaining game Friday.
- 28:09Speaker 1: I just don't know that we're going to get it.
- 28:11Speaker 3: I think Old Miss they haven't been a victim of
- 28:14Speaker 3: the distraction like other teams have. Other teams have had
- 28:17Speaker 3: their head coach in the headlines and whatnot, and they
- 28:20Speaker 3: faltered down the stretch. Old Miss has just gotten better.
- 28:22Speaker 3: And Lane would tell you it's because my locker room's
- 28:26Speaker 3: kind of unaffected by this, Like my players are zoned in.
- 28:29Speaker 3: They know they could go anywhere a year to year two.
- 28:31Speaker 3: So it's not like the old locker rooms. It's kind
- 28:33Speaker 3: of a new age locker room. And I know he
- 28:36Speaker 3: said that it is press conference yesterday and a lot
- 28:37Speaker 3: of people scoffed at it. You can scoff out it
- 28:40Speaker 3: all you want to look at their results. Their results
- 28:43Speaker 3: kind of bear out what he's saying. Has some legitimacy.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Maybe it's just an Old Miss thing, maybe it's just
- 28:47Speaker 3: a la anything.
- 28:48Speaker 1: I don't know. I think they're going to win and cover.
- 28:49Speaker 3: So I'll take Old Miss all lay the points and
- 28:51Speaker 3: the model agrees for the record.
- 28:53Speaker 2: I'm gonna also take Old Miss for the distractions. I mean,
- 28:57Speaker 2: lank If and everybody in the world could have packed
- 28:58Speaker 2: it in that locker room, could have had all the
- 29:01Speaker 2: destructions of the world and have a reason to drop
- 29:03Speaker 2: a game here and there, and they haven't.
- 29:04Speaker 1: They've just gotten better. I think it's competitive for the.
- 29:07Speaker 2: First half and then Ole Miss just really puts the
- 29:10Speaker 2: gas on and it's it's over in the second half.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Fun fact about the egg Bowl started in nineteen forty four.
- 29:16Speaker 1: It is the tenth longest uninterrupted series in the United States.
- 29:20Speaker 3: Don't you think it's strange that we were smack dab
- 29:23Speaker 3: in the middle of World War Two as a country,
- 29:25Speaker 3: and somewhere in Mississippi someone said, we got to name
- 29:28Speaker 3: this bowl game.
- 29:30Speaker 1: We got no one here to play right now, but
- 29:32Speaker 1: we got to name this bowl. Why the Egg Bowl? Why?
- 29:35Speaker 1: I've known that answer? Do you have it? Fun fact?
- 29:37Speaker 1: I know, I was. I was. It was mainly just
- 29:40Speaker 1: Wikipedia pages. Then they call it like the Golden Egg something,
- 29:43Speaker 1: and I don't know the reasoning behind the naming of
- 29:46Speaker 1: the egg. You know what I mean that the chicken
- 29:48Speaker 1: come first of the egg. Yeah, let's just go as
- 29:51Speaker 1: is this rivalry game name? No one knows the answer,
- 29:55Speaker 1: just like the chicken egg. Yeah.
- 29:55Speaker 3: I would say that's the biggest storyline around this game
- 29:57Speaker 3: this week is just where did the what's the the
- 30:00Speaker 3: origin story of the rivalry Lane?
- 30:02Speaker 1: If we got time, we can get to that, But.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Really we got to get down to more pressing matters.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I'm taking ole miss minut six and a half. I
- 30:07Speaker 1: think that is what an opportunity Lane Kiffin has to
- 30:11Speaker 1: become an absolute legend. I like to believe I've went
- 30:15Speaker 1: back and forth all the boys around the shop, like
- 30:18Speaker 1: is he leaving? Is he staying? I'm putting a posts, Hey,
- 30:20Speaker 1: you got everything? Why moving the goalpost? Then it's like
- 30:23Speaker 1: I hear that the nil the money depth is way
- 30:26Speaker 1: more at at Florida or LSU. Ole Miss is working
- 30:31Speaker 1: to make it as perfect. They've given him everything he's wanted.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Ole Miss puts out a statement he's gonna make a
- 30:35Speaker 1: decision after the game, after the Egg Bowl concludes. Then
- 30:38Speaker 1: you got another leak that comes out on Sunday or
- 30:41Speaker 1: Monday where it's LSU. Was it LSU has ninety million
- 30:44Speaker 1: dollars or was that one Florida? Either way? Either way,
- 30:47Speaker 1: there's a leak coming out saying all this money is
- 30:49Speaker 1: there there, they're prepared to offer him this deal. And
- 30:55Speaker 1: part of me just wants to believe that Lane Kiffin
- 30:57Speaker 1: is dragging everybody along and he's gonna chew to go
- 31:00Speaker 1: to ole Miss after they win the eight Bowl, he's
- 31:02Speaker 1: gonna choose to stay home, and he's doing everything he
- 31:05Speaker 1: can to drag LSU and Florida along because they are
- 31:09Speaker 1: opponents in the SEC and he wants to set them
- 31:12Speaker 1: up for as much failure as they can feel before
- 31:15Speaker 1: these dominoes fall and he goes back. He stays home,
- 31:18Speaker 1: He stays at Old Miss. Like what a legend I
- 31:21Speaker 1: love this man could be. I love that. But if
- 31:24Speaker 1: he goes elsewhere, in the ugliest way possible and the
- 31:30Speaker 1: worst way he could have possibly done it, he will
- 31:32Speaker 1: have ripped the hearts out of the chest of ole Miss,
- 31:35Speaker 1: that fan base, that school.
- 31:38Speaker 2: There's no way he's getting out of the situation without
- 31:40Speaker 2: heartbreak taking place. Right, but it depends on which heart
- 31:43Speaker 2: he wishes to break. There's an easy story right here
- 31:45Speaker 2: for him to just be this hero. Yeah, it's true
- 31:48Speaker 2: hero villain right here, and being a troll, I mean,
- 31:50Speaker 2: the second best troll according to Josh spaces copy and
- 31:53Speaker 2: paste text. He I mean by him dragging along LSU
- 31:56Speaker 2: and Florida, like, this is the best job you can
- 31:58Speaker 2: possibly do. Get these guys to leave, believe, believe, and
- 32:01Speaker 2: then National Saturday is what December third, December two at
- 32:06Speaker 2: eleven fifty nine, announce that you're staying at ole Miss.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Yeah, go as far as to even after the egg
- 32:12Speaker 1: Bowl or maybe right before whatever. He just lets Florida
- 32:15Speaker 1: and LSU know. He tells both of them he's going
- 32:18Speaker 1: to like that league's happening Saturday boom, staying at Ole Miss. Yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 1: how about this?
- 32:24Speaker 3: I had had a vision. Now, So if we're right,
- 32:26Speaker 3: if Ole Miss wins and they cover, let's say they're
- 32:28Speaker 3: up ten, they got the ball, Mississippi State's got no timeouts.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Fifty five, fifty four, fifty three, they're taking knees, they're
- 32:35Speaker 3: pouring the water on the sideline. What if the cameras
- 32:38Speaker 3: caught him drenched high five and everyone and you just
- 32:41Speaker 3: saw him go like that right there and then put
- 32:43Speaker 3: his phone away. And then two hours later, it was
- 32:46Speaker 3: reported Pete Nakos on three Sports Lane, Kiffin sent a
- 32:51Speaker 3: group text or maybe a copy paste text to both
- 32:53Speaker 3: Florida and LSU moments before the Egg Bowl ended, informing
- 32:58Speaker 3: them that he's staying at Ole Miss.
- 33:00Speaker 1: You go back and you look at the footage.
- 33:01Speaker 3: And you realize he sent that text before the clock
- 33:04Speaker 3: at zero.
- 33:05Speaker 1: That's beautiful. That's link keffing texting me. Now it would
- 33:10Speaker 1: be it'd be nuts. I am interested to see what
- 33:12Speaker 1: decision he is going to make.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Do we want to go on record as predicting where
- 33:15Speaker 3: we think he's going to go? I, of course know
- 33:18Speaker 3: but but do we want to go on the record
- 33:20Speaker 3: as predicting. You start, I wrote it down, makes you say, Wow.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Huh, you're gonna all right? Is it? It's what you thought?
- 33:38Speaker 1: I want it on record that I'm predicting. He stays
- 33:41Speaker 1: at ole, Miss hmm.
- 33:43Speaker 3: I want it on record before or after I showed
- 33:45Speaker 3: you what I just showed.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Either way, that's where I was going before. And I
- 33:48Speaker 1: gotta stay in ten toes down. Okay.
- 33:55Speaker 3: A lot of people have been saying that like the
- 33:57Speaker 3: flip right there, A lot of people have been saying
- 33:59Speaker 3: that the old bait and switch and switch and hey,
- 34:03Speaker 3: the job could be open.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Oh I think that job is one hundred percent open.
- 34:08Speaker 2: One hundred percent open.
- 34:09Speaker 3: All right, And Scott's honor, we will all be honest
- 34:12Speaker 3: about what we had predicted next week when we have
- 34:14Speaker 3: an answer.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll keep this card. We have a second game
- 34:18Speaker 1: on deck. We have Alabama. We got the Iron Bowl,
- 34:21Speaker 1: Alabama had Auburn. The line on this game is Alabama
- 34:24Speaker 1: minus five and a half. The over under on this
- 34:25Speaker 1: game is forty seven and a half. A fun fact
- 34:27Speaker 1: to lead this thing up. Their first meeting was in
- 34:30Speaker 1: eighteen eighty three and in the early in the early
- 34:33Speaker 1: twentieth century, Birmingham was the leading industrial city of the
- 34:38Speaker 1: South in production of pig iron coke, coal, in manufacture
- 34:44Speaker 1: of steel booming, which led them to name.
- 34:46Speaker 2: It the Iron Bowl. Yep, yep, we know the name
- 34:51Speaker 2: of that one. We know the origin story of the
- 34:52Speaker 2: Iron Bowl.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Played it in Legit Field for a long. Do we
- 34:54Speaker 1: want to get Garrett of here, maybe give a couple words,
- 34:57Speaker 1: if he's prepared, if he's ready to go. Sorry, do
- 35:06Speaker 1: you want to give Gearrett on the mic? Geartt on
- 35:08Speaker 1: the mic? It's up, boys, Garrett.
- 35:13Speaker 6: I'd like to put it out there that I think
- 35:14Speaker 6: Lane Kiffin is gonna stay at Old miss as well.
- 35:17Speaker 6: I think he's dragging Florida and LSU to deep deep waters,
- 35:22Speaker 6: just for the just for the bit, but for the
- 35:25Speaker 6: Iron Bowl. We all know what this game means. This
- 35:28Speaker 6: is a win and in for Alabama. You also have
- 35:32Speaker 6: to walk into the most voodoo place in the in
- 35:34Speaker 6: the entire world. Auburn started it last week by starting
- 35:39Speaker 6: a true freshman deuce night playing the mind games. They
- 35:43Speaker 6: also announced this could be true, true or false, But
- 35:46Speaker 6: now they're saying that they're going to start a different
- 35:48Speaker 6: quarterback for this game. So the head games have already started.
- 35:52Speaker 6: We know what we have to do. Will said it
- 35:54Speaker 6: last week or a few weeks ago for the Oklahoma game.
- 35:57Speaker 6: They got to wake up. They didn't wake up. Taste
- 35:59Speaker 6: your own blood again. Hopefully this is just Belta to
- 36:02Speaker 6: ask like it should be and we get in and
- 36:05Speaker 6: then we take care of business from there. But big
- 36:08Speaker 6: game this weekend. It's probably the biggest game that's coming
- 36:11Speaker 6: up this weekend, especially on Saturday. If you're if you're
- 36:16Speaker 6: a college football fan, you know how big this game is.
- 36:20Speaker 1: It is the biggest.
- 36:21Speaker 6: Game in college football every single year, sole title.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Wow, well said you're a lot of people believe that
- 36:33Speaker 1: it is a great game. When you guys were talking
- 36:36Speaker 1: about your first meeting, like that fourth and long Alabama
- 36:40Speaker 1: Auburn fourth at fourth and thirty one, that was a
- 36:42Speaker 1: true like where were you moment the field goal that
- 36:46Speaker 1: Auburn returned for a touchdown. Like they've had some iconic
- 36:49Speaker 1: moments in this game. And it's being in just the
- 36:52Speaker 1: in state rivalry aspect of yeah, the N state rivalry,
- 36:55Speaker 1: who's going to own the state? Yeah?
- 36:56Speaker 2: And like yeah, Alabama for so long has been so
- 36:59Speaker 2: good that Auburn's have these weird peaks and massive valleys.
- 37:02Speaker 2: But even when they have these valleys, it's like a
- 37:04Speaker 2: competitive game and it comes down to like this last
- 37:07Speaker 2: play at some points, and it's it's exciting. It's gonna
- 37:11Speaker 2: be a fun game to watch. I think there's a
- 37:13Speaker 2: lot of people in the South that are really excited
- 37:14Speaker 2: about this football game.
- 37:16Speaker 1: I got. I think Alabama's gonna cover. I think, you
- 37:19Speaker 1: know the.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Voodoo games and mindsets Deuce is playing now he's not playing.
- 37:23Speaker 2: He freezes out who's gonna be the coach there? Everybody
- 37:26Speaker 2: wants Lane Kiff and there's no way operations Lane Kiffin.
- 37:29Speaker 2: And I just think Klin de Boor has has fully
- 37:33Speaker 2: understood the expectation and what he needs to do, especially
- 37:36Speaker 2: if this is a winning get in game, Like if
- 37:38Speaker 2: they lose this game, their season is over yep, and
- 37:40Speaker 2: they are done. And I think that that alone is
- 37:43Speaker 2: enough to propel you into it. Like a lot of times,
- 37:46Speaker 2: Alabama when they've fallen, it's been they've been undefeated, they're
- 37:49Speaker 2: they're you know, they're sleepwalking into a game. They've kind
- 37:52Speaker 2: of steamrolled everybody. They have the old Nick Saban teams,
- 37:56Speaker 2: This team knows like, if we don't get this done,
- 38:00Speaker 2: then everything we work for is just a wash at
- 38:02Speaker 2: this point.
- 38:02Speaker 1: And so I like Alabama in this game to cover
- 38:04Speaker 1: minus five and a half. Yeah, season is a failure,
- 38:06Speaker 1: like this is. They have so many things on the line,
- 38:09Speaker 1: season being over, You're playing for a conference title, appearance,
- 38:12Speaker 1: you're playing for a college football spot. This is This
- 38:15Speaker 1: week is all hands on deck and in the Iron Bowl,
- 38:17Speaker 1: where the juices are already high, now it's even higher
- 38:19Speaker 1: for Alabama. I got them winning and covering, and I
- 38:22Speaker 1: like the Alabama Christmas tide. I'm looking at Auburn's going
- 38:26Speaker 1: to ruin their season, well they can.
- 38:29Speaker 3: I think the jordan Hair Stadium voodoo stuff works against Alabama,
- 38:33Speaker 3: but not in the way people think. People think, Oh
- 38:36Speaker 3: that place is hon I've been to like a dozen
- 38:37Speaker 3: of these games at Jorden Hair Stadium. I'm well aware
- 38:39Speaker 3: of what they're talking about. And Bama hardly ever performs
- 38:42Speaker 3: well down there. But if you think about it, all right,
- 38:44Speaker 3: if voodoo was real, if black magic was real down there,
- 38:49Speaker 3: the last two times Bama's gone down there, they have
- 38:51Speaker 3: actively reached into Auburn's chest, twisted their hand and pulled their.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Heart out Indiana Jones.
- 38:57Speaker 3: That never would happen if you they were cursed in
- 39:00Speaker 3: that building. So I would argue, maybe the dynamics changed,
- 39:04Speaker 3: Maybe the talk should be, is there some kind of
- 39:08Speaker 3: extra hurdle psychologically Auburn's got to overcome. Auburn's gotta clear
- 39:13Speaker 3: in their own building. No one said that this week.
- 39:15Speaker 3: That's the way I would be thinking if I were
- 39:17Speaker 3: tasked with providing the motivation, providing the talking points in
- 39:20Speaker 3: the bulletin board material. But we're just tasked with picking
- 39:22Speaker 3: the game. So I'm looking at what the model thinks
- 39:24Speaker 3: because I brought it along with me this week.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Model loves Alabama. You gotta get one of those, gotta
- 39:29Speaker 1: get one of the Christmas. Right around the corner.
- 39:31Speaker 3: Models got Bama win in by ten. I think this
- 39:34Speaker 3: number is low for two reasons. The Oklahoma game firstly,
- 39:37Speaker 3: has really made people look at Alabama's maybe a little
- 39:40Speaker 3: wobbly with good reason, but minus three turnovers in that game,
- 39:44Speaker 3: which is a stat from a predictive nature that we
- 39:46Speaker 3: think is randomized. And then the other part of it
- 39:49Speaker 3: is what we just talked about. There's this thinking that
- 39:52Speaker 3: of manjer and hair stadium like rivalry week, that's a
- 39:55Speaker 3: different game for Alabama. And so those two aspects have
- 39:59Speaker 3: brought this number down where I love it. I think, Alabama,
- 40:02Speaker 3: are you laying the points win and cover there by
- 40:04Speaker 3: over a touchdown?
- 40:05Speaker 1: I think it's great value.
- 40:06Speaker 3: However, that is all contingent on them starting relatively fast,
- 40:12Speaker 3: Like they don't need to be up fourteen to three,
- 40:14Speaker 3: they just need to start decently, no early turnovers, not
- 40:18Speaker 3: that situation where like Auburn's got a two to one
- 40:20Speaker 3: time of possession edge going into the half, because then
- 40:22Speaker 3: you're out in the deep end. Doesn't matter what a
- 40:24Speaker 3: computer model says. Black magic voodoo is real. But if
- 40:27Speaker 3: they get out to a decent start, Yeah, I like
- 40:29Speaker 3: him because I think Auburn's ability to score is going
- 40:31Speaker 3: to be pretty limited. Because the hidden aspect of all
- 40:33Speaker 3: this stuff is Bama's defense has played really well, played
- 40:36Speaker 3: really well, and as much as you know, one quarterback
- 40:39Speaker 3: looked good deuce night last week. I think this is
- 40:41Speaker 3: Ashton Daniel's game. I think that was always the plan
- 40:44Speaker 3: down there, is to sit him for I think it
- 40:46Speaker 3: was Mercer last week. Sit him for the Mercer game.
- 40:48Speaker 3: It's essentially two weeks to prepare for his Super Bowl,
- 40:51Speaker 3: for Auburn's Super Bowl. This is really what they have
- 40:53Speaker 3: to play for. They're trying to play spoilers. The beauty
- 40:56Speaker 3: of rivalry games. I think the Boar and Alabama going
- 40:59Speaker 3: in there winn and cover.
- 41:01Speaker 1: I love it as well. Hey, I'm taking a text
- 41:04Speaker 1: at this point. We got Texas A and M. This
- 41:07Speaker 1: is a this a big business. Texas A and M
- 41:10Speaker 1: at Texas. The line on this game, Texas A and
- 41:12Speaker 1: M is favored minus student at. The over under on
- 41:14Speaker 1: this game is fifty one and a half. What does
- 41:18Speaker 1: the model think?
- 41:20Speaker 3: Model thinks the number is almost dead on the money.
- 41:23Speaker 3: We got A and M winning by three.
- 41:25Speaker 1: Okay, by the way, no real fun facts on this one.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I was, I was. I was doing my
- 41:31Speaker 1: best here. Because obviously Texas A and M leaves in
- 41:33Speaker 1: what twenty eleven or twenty twelve to go to the SEC.
- 41:36Speaker 1: That's when the game kind of stopped. It was played
- 41:37Speaker 1: for a while. The first time was being played in
- 41:39Speaker 1: thirteen years. Yeah except for last ye yea. Yeah they
- 41:41Speaker 1: play last year. They play lest year, yeah, but in Austin.
- 41:44Speaker 1: But they did have a long span when Texas was
- 41:49Speaker 1: my fault. When Texas was was in the Big twelve.
- 41:52Speaker 1: They were trying to get it back. Like in two
- 41:54Speaker 1: thousand and eighteen, I want to say the Texas student
- 41:57Speaker 1: body had to vote for how much they wanted to
- 41:59Speaker 1: play A and M. It was like a ninety six
- 42:01Speaker 1: percent favorable. We want this game back. And they did
- 42:03Speaker 1: the same thing in early twenty nineteen. I believe in
- 42:06Speaker 1: February with A and M that favorability was like eighty
- 42:09Speaker 1: six percent. There's this gentleman from San Antonio Rep. In
- 42:13Speaker 1: San Antonio, I was trying to write a bill, didn't
- 42:15Speaker 1: get it, kind of died. The governor stepped in. He
- 42:17Speaker 1: was trying to get a build to pass. It kind
- 42:18Speaker 1: of died. But then once Texas joined the SEC, the
- 42:22Speaker 1: rivalries back and well so they were trying to student
- 42:24Speaker 1: by they were trying to take it into their own hands.
- 42:26Speaker 1: And like again around twenty eighteen, it was kind of
- 42:29Speaker 1: dying out. They couldn't get any widespread traction on it.
- 42:31Speaker 1: But now that they're both back in the conference, we're
- 42:33Speaker 1: getting this beautiful game and with implications at Texa A
- 42:36Speaker 1: and M being undefeated, who if they played the SEC?
- 42:39Speaker 1: People are asking myself, Buddy Texas on kind of a
- 42:43Speaker 1: hot streak right now with Archie Manning, like throwing the
- 42:46Speaker 1: ball around the yard. We'll get into that. But this game,
- 42:49Speaker 1: this game is huge because Texa's gonna be out there. Hey,
- 42:51Speaker 1: we got a three loss, we got a resume that
- 42:53Speaker 1: shows that we should be in the playoff. That's going
- 42:55Speaker 1: to happen. I love the chaos aspect of that. And
- 42:57Speaker 1: also is Texas A and M can they beat one
- 42:59Speaker 1: of these, you know, above the toward the top SEC teams,
- 43:04Speaker 1: because who if they beat Auburn, Misssippi State, Florida, Arkansas, LSU,
- 43:08Speaker 1: South Carolina strategically leaving Missoo out of there, missoos with
- 43:12Speaker 1: three loss, but Missoo is kind of their best win.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Backup quarterback, backup quarterback, Yeah, missoo, Yeah, that's where you're going.
- 43:19Speaker 1: I'm going Texas. I think this. I know I'm gonna
- 43:21Speaker 1: go Texas money line. I like Texas a lot this game.
- 43:25Speaker 1: I like Texas lot arch Manning. Here's a fun stat
- 43:27Speaker 1: with arch Manning in his first seven games, his first
- 43:29Speaker 1: seven weeks, four of them, most of them, he threw
- 43:32Speaker 1: for under two hundred yards. Since throwing for one hundred
- 43:35Speaker 1: and thirty two against Kentucky starting game eight, he's thrown
- 43:38Speaker 1: for three forty six, three twenty eight, two fifty one
- 43:41Speaker 1: and three eighty nine. He's had that he has eleven
- 43:43Speaker 1: touchdowns and two interceptions and at least thirty atten attempts
- 43:46Speaker 1: in each game. He's threw over forty a couple of
- 43:48Speaker 1: these games, and again in those first seven he only
- 43:51Speaker 1: hit thirty attempts twice, so they're let him throw the
- 43:53Speaker 1: ball around. Uh. The problem is Texas A and M
- 43:56Speaker 1: does have you know, the highest sack percentage in the country.
- 43:59Speaker 1: They will get after him a little bit. They're solid
- 44:02Speaker 1: in the trenches, they have a good offensive line, good
- 44:04Speaker 1: d line. It will be tough, but I like, I
- 44:07Speaker 1: love Texas money line here. I think this is the
- 44:09Speaker 1: first lost text A and M is gonna taste. And
- 44:11Speaker 1: then there's gonna be a little bit of question mark
- 44:12Speaker 1: a little bit, but a little bit of doubt about
- 44:14Speaker 1: this team being a top four team in the College
- 44:16Speaker 1: Wall Playoff. They'll have a chance to prove in the
- 44:18Speaker 1: SEC Championship, probably gets Bama. I think A and M
- 44:20Speaker 1: loses that game as well. Wow, your Dallas frauds A M.
- 44:26Speaker 1: I don't think A and M's frauds. I just don't
- 44:29Speaker 1: think they're they will maintain this level that everybody sees
- 44:32Speaker 1: them at, Like, I think they're a great team. They've
- 44:35Speaker 1: had Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think they're I think they're
- 44:36Speaker 1: a great team. You think an inferior schedule has propped
- 44:39Speaker 1: them up a little bit? Yes, yes, wow, making them
- 44:42Speaker 1: a little fraudulent, making them, yeah, in that aspect of
- 44:44Speaker 1: the top tier, a little fraudult. But I'm not saying
- 44:46Speaker 1: like this is a pig with lipstick, like they're not
- 44:48Speaker 1: a good football team.
- 44:49Speaker 2: I do respect people. Yeah, frauds again, with the schedule
- 44:55Speaker 2: that they've had. If you look at a preseason, this
- 44:57Speaker 2: is gonna be this is a tough schedule. But now
- 44:59Speaker 2: the way the years played out, I'm like, all right,
- 45:01Speaker 2: I feel like I have a couple question marks with
- 45:02Speaker 2: they am. They've earned the right to be in all
- 45:04Speaker 2: these conversations, They've earned the right to be undefeated. Marcel
- 45:07Speaker 2: Read's earned the right to be in the Heisman conversation.
- 45:09Speaker 2: But I just have a little question mark about text
- 45:12Speaker 2: A and M, and I think it starts to get
- 45:13Speaker 2: exposed against Texas this weekend.
- 45:16Speaker 3: You asked me one time, how do you sit there
- 45:18Speaker 3: and talk about college football alone for an hour and
- 45:20Speaker 3: a half. I feel like if we weren't here, you
- 45:23Speaker 3: could have gone another hour on this game. I've never
- 45:25Speaker 3: been more proud of you. We're recording early in the week.
- 45:28Speaker 3: You preface this entire prediction by saying, I really got
- 45:31Speaker 3: nothing on this game. Actually, let me just slip a
- 45:33Speaker 3: few things in there, and it's five minutes later, it's
- 45:36Speaker 3: seven minutes later. I know the origin story, I know
- 45:38Speaker 3: arch Manning's last four games. I know the political scene
- 45:42Speaker 3: in the late twenty teens in the state of Texas,
- 45:44Speaker 3: and how this game was tried to get back but
- 45:46Speaker 3: then the governor stepped in. I don't even feel like
- 45:49Speaker 3: you exhausted all your notes. I still feel like you
- 45:51Speaker 3: got bullets in the chamber. You made a really good
- 45:53Speaker 3: pick on the game. You just exposed Texas A and
- 45:55Speaker 3: M as total frauds.
- 45:57Speaker 1: We're also saying they're not frauds. Any why they are fraud.
- 46:00Speaker 3: I'll saying they're not fraud I'm just saying there's nothing
- 46:02Speaker 3: about the the t real Yeah, I hate everything about it,
- 46:05Speaker 3: not frouds.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Respectfully, they can die this week. Not only will they
- 46:09Speaker 1: died this week, they're all gonna go next week. As well.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Will A and M still be in the playoffs? Yeah,
- 46:16Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 46:16Speaker 2: AM's gonna lose her next two geez where he deserves,
- 46:21Speaker 2: but he still lose the next game.
- 46:22Speaker 3: You thought if you thought the South Carolina first half
- 46:25Speaker 3: was something waiting, he plays out over four quarters.
- 46:28Speaker 1: So with the utmost.
- 46:30Speaker 3: Trepidation, could I tech Texas ay and him to win
- 46:32Speaker 3: this game and cover? Could I just present the counter argument?
- 46:36Speaker 1: Absolutely? What's funny? Before you do say that, I was
- 46:38Speaker 1: looking at you. I kind of went from Taylor to
- 46:40Speaker 1: you and just in the background and caught my eye
- 46:42Speaker 1: when you just that random shot that went South Carolina.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I just see JP in a blurn my mission, just
- 46:46Speaker 1: shaking his head back there.
- 46:49Speaker 2: JP is a king of like city out of my
- 46:51Speaker 2: out of my sight, and I just hear him multiple
- 46:53Speaker 2: times show crazy, makeing a lot of lip smacking noises
- 46:58Speaker 2: like JP's the king of just having a soundboard behind me,
- 47:02Speaker 2: I know exactly how GP goes out the show is
- 47:04Speaker 2: going at all.
- 47:05Speaker 1: He's like a show, like an actual audience member out
- 47:09Speaker 1: there to where he's giving you reactions and everything else
- 47:11Speaker 1: he's got.
- 47:12Speaker 2: When we when Josh was talking to me about whenever
- 47:14Speaker 2: the airport situation.
- 47:15Speaker 1: I'm explaining my side. I just hear dB. It's crazy.
- 47:21Speaker 3: He always hear him and he's not Mike, so so
- 47:25Speaker 3: you can't hear him on the feet because he's not Miked.
- 47:27Speaker 1: We hear him.
- 47:27Speaker 3: But when I dropped the South Carolina line, all our
- 47:29Speaker 3: heard was just an inflation.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Okay.
- 47:35Speaker 3: The way I look at this is I've said, like
- 47:37Speaker 3: in five different an M predictions on the show this year,
- 47:39Speaker 3: I've said, Man, I love that they've won different ways.
- 47:42Speaker 3: They've won like a seventeen to six game or something
- 47:45Speaker 3: like that against Auburn. They won the forty one to
- 47:47Speaker 3: forty shootout against Notre Dame, so they they had like
- 47:51Speaker 3: all seriousness. They had that terrible first half against South Carolina,
- 47:53Speaker 3: came all the way back, so they've had to come
- 47:55Speaker 3: from behind, they've had to win the slugfest, they've had
- 47:58Speaker 3: to win the shootout. This kind of games where I
- 48:00Speaker 3: think that pays off, Like Texas on the road's really
- 48:03Speaker 3: really iffy. Texas at homes good team. So you got
- 48:05Speaker 3: to go in there building. You've been skating on thin ice.
- 48:09Speaker 3: It feels like a little bit, but you've kind of
- 48:11Speaker 3: made it. But what you're worried about is the Oregon
- 48:13Speaker 3: thing from last year. What if they're this year's Oregon.
- 48:15Speaker 3: What if they peaked really early and then they fade late,
- 48:19Speaker 3: which is a valid concern. I think that Texas has
- 48:22Speaker 3: three losses for a reason. And when I have a
- 48:25Speaker 3: team that I think has multiple ways to beat you,
- 48:27Speaker 3: including that pass rush, I know that's going to travel
- 48:30Speaker 3: and I know that that can give the Texas offensive
- 48:33Speaker 3: line fits. And I think I think there may be
- 48:36Speaker 3: a world where we watch this game if A and
- 48:38Speaker 3: M wins and covers, where we say, man, like that
- 48:40Speaker 3: first half AG at South Carolina sucked in the moment
- 48:42Speaker 3: for them, it may have been the best wake up call.
- 48:44Speaker 3: It may have been like the jumper cables to the nipples,
- 48:47Speaker 3: which you need sometimes. You need those sometimes, and I
- 48:50Speaker 3: think that was what that game was. So I think
- 48:52Speaker 3: they're going to go in there, not an easy win
- 48:53Speaker 3: at all, four quarter game. I think they're going to win.
- 48:56Speaker 3: I think they're going to cover, and they're going to
- 48:57Speaker 3: go to Atlanta. If if we'll see where you go.
- 49:00Speaker 3: If I'm wrong, if you're right, I don't think they.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Go to the SEC championship game.
- 49:04Speaker 3: I think the tiebreaker is Georgia would go, I believe
- 49:08Speaker 3: that's how that works.
- 49:10Speaker 1: Is that is that true for sec guys? Is that.
- 49:15Speaker 2: Yeah, b y us never come from behind conversation that
- 49:20Speaker 2: we get checked on real hard.
- 49:23Speaker 1: So we got to make sure that.
- 49:27Speaker 3: People like this would gladly take the airport snub over
- 49:30Speaker 3: getting a Brigham Young fact.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Wrong because American prime evil. We know what they can do.
- 49:34Speaker 3: We found out, we found out that was a documentary
- 49:36Speaker 3: all along.
- 49:36Speaker 1: Yeah, Josh, if Georgia wins, Alabama wins and.
- 49:40Speaker 3: Irrelevant, Georgia is irrelevant.
- 49:43Speaker 1: Okay, okay, because it's not a conference game. It's Alabama wins,
- 49:45Speaker 1: and A and M loses.
- 49:46Speaker 5: Alabama wins. There in Georgia's in if Alabama loses, and
- 49:50Speaker 5: A and M loses, Old Misses win, Alabama loss, A
- 49:54Speaker 5: and M loss Texas A and M is win or
- 49:57Speaker 5: Alabama loss.
- 49:58Speaker 2: How did Georgia but how did Georgia and Ole miss
- 50:00Speaker 2: have the same outcome?
- 50:01Speaker 5: To be clear, you say, oh, Georgie's and if they
- 50:03Speaker 5: win or lose, but they need Bama and A and M.
- 50:06Speaker 1: To lose, they need both of them to lose.
- 50:08Speaker 5: Correct A and M needs to win or if they lose,
- 50:12Speaker 5: then Alabama needs to lose, an ole Miss also needs
- 50:14Speaker 5: to lose.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Okay, so that makes sense. If Bama wins and A
- 50:17Speaker 1: and M loses, it's going to still be It's going
- 50:19Speaker 1: to be Bama A and M lost. You hear that
- 50:24Speaker 1: explanation they lose either and okay, so A and M
- 50:33Speaker 1: could still get in if they lose as long Bama
- 50:36Speaker 1: loses Alabama or ole Miss loses.
- 50:39Speaker 3: Okay, A and M is in with a win or
- 50:42Speaker 3: an Alabama loss and ole Miss loss.
- 50:44Speaker 1: So they need both of those things to happen.
- 50:45Speaker 3: So, in other words, if Alabama wins the Iron Bowl,
- 50:49Speaker 3: They're in.
- 50:50Speaker 1: If and A and M's in no matter what.
- 50:52Speaker 3: A and M is in if Alabama if they if
- 50:56Speaker 3: they lose, if A and M loses, then they need
- 50:59Speaker 3: al Alabama and Ole Miss to lose to get in.
- 51:03Speaker 3: So like even if so this would be if let's
- 51:06Speaker 3: just walk this through. So, if A and M loses
- 51:08Speaker 3: to Texas brain damage and Alabama loses to Auburn, it
- 51:12Speaker 3: would be A and M versus Georgia, I believe.
- 51:15Speaker 1: So who's in the SEC Championship If Alabama.
- 51:19Speaker 3: Wins, Alabama's in automatically if they win, A and M
- 51:21Speaker 3: loses that would be Alabama versus Georgia. It looks like
- 51:24Speaker 3: to me, yes, that's correct, it would be Alabama Georgia chaos.
- 51:30Speaker 1: But honestly, if you think about it, if you're A
- 51:35Speaker 1: and M and I'm saying that they would lose the
- 51:37Speaker 1: SEC Championship, in this hypothetical world, you're sitting there as
- 51:40Speaker 1: an eleven and one team not going to the conference
- 51:43Speaker 1: championship game, waiting to see what unfolds the couch will playoff,
- 51:46Speaker 1: you're kind of in a better situation. Yeah, yeah, you
- 51:49Speaker 1: don't buy. But unless without a doubt in your mind,
- 51:52Speaker 1: you're you're thinking you're going to go in and win
- 51:55Speaker 1: the SEC Championship, which I'm sure A and M fans
- 51:57Speaker 1: do believe that.
- 51:58Speaker 3: Think about if Old Miss wins the Egg Bowl and
- 52:01Speaker 3: Bama loses the Iron Bowl, and A and M loses
- 52:04Speaker 3: to Texas, Ole Miss is going to Atlanta. We're not
- 52:08Speaker 3: even talking about whether Lane's going to coach the playoff.
- 52:10Speaker 3: We're talking about whether he's gonna coach in the SEC
- 52:13Speaker 3: Championship game. Also, Mitch, you've got a really important email
- 52:15Speaker 3: from the Flag Football Committee.
- 52:19Speaker 1: I want to check that I'm gonna I'm gonna go
- 52:22Speaker 1: a and M.
- 52:23Speaker 2: I think I've been I have to look back at
- 52:26Speaker 2: the records, but I think every time, I've bet against
- 52:28Speaker 2: Texas every time, and I've been successful since Texas except
- 52:31Speaker 2: for I bet on them for I bet against Texas,
- 52:36Speaker 2: and I've been successful except for the Red River.
- 52:39Speaker 1: Robbery show up. Yeah, so I'll think a M. I'll
- 52:43Speaker 1: take an M.
- 52:44Speaker 2: I'll think Reid, I love all the things you said
- 52:46Speaker 2: about how many times, how many ways they've won.
- 52:48Speaker 3: He's fourth in the Heisman nods at Vanduel coming into
- 52:50Speaker 3: this week. This is where I got to have him
- 52:52Speaker 3: make his move. Diego Papa made his move last week.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Diego Pobby has an opportuny to make his move this week.
- 52:57Speaker 2: He is I think he has a chance to cement
- 52:59Speaker 2: it if he goes off because they turned into a
- 53:01Speaker 2: bit of an air raid off. It's going to introduce
- 53:03Speaker 2: the next game.
- 53:03Speaker 1: Yeah, speaking of Pavia, we got Vandy this that we
- 53:06Speaker 1: got ourselves a game boys. Yeah. We interrupt this episode
- 53:09Speaker 1: to bring you the boost them with the Boys profit
- 53:11Speaker 1: Boost token. If you don't already know, the Boys have
- 53:13Speaker 1: a profit boost token available every college football Saturday. That's
- 53:16Speaker 1: a profit boost on any college football Saturday bet just
- 53:19Speaker 1: open up the FanDuel sportsbook AP this Saturday and look
- 53:22Speaker 1: out for the Boost Them with the Boys profit Boost token.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Vanderbilt at Tennessee. The line on this game Tennessee's favored
- 53:29Speaker 1: by two and a half. The over under on this
- 53:30Speaker 1: game is sixty five and a half. Just a little
- 53:32Speaker 1: fun fact because I thought this is a fun one.
- 53:34Speaker 1: I'm actually enjoying the fun facts. I don't think i'd
- 53:35Speaker 1: like it, and I like it. From eighteen ninety two
- 53:38Speaker 1: to nineteen twenty seven Vanderbilt when this game the inception
- 53:41Speaker 1: started of it. Vanderbilt went nineteen two and three against Tennessee.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Then Tennessee goes and hires a gentleman by the name
- 53:48Speaker 1: of do you know we're chef or do you know
- 53:52Speaker 1: do what we're talking about? In nineteen twenty six, Tennessee
- 53:57Speaker 1: hires this gentleman named Robert need to quote even the
- 54:02Speaker 1: score against Vanderbilt. And when Robert Neeland was the head
- 54:05Speaker 1: coach at Tennessee, because there's a couple of years he
- 54:07Speaker 1: took off, but he come back. Robert Neiland went sixteen
- 54:10Speaker 1: three and two. I don't war.
- 54:15Speaker 3: I told you guys they were starting rivalry game names
- 54:18Speaker 3: in Mississippi coaches were going off to war.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Yeah, do you think you know it's crazy?
- 54:23Speaker 3: Is like the year he took off, they lose to Vandy, Yeah,
- 54:26Speaker 3: which makes you wonder did he regret it?
- 54:28Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 54:29Speaker 2: What's crazy is these stats that we that you give
- 54:32Speaker 2: talking about how like nineteen hundreds, late eighteen hundreds, like
- 54:35Speaker 2: boys were men, and now it's twenty twenty five and
- 54:39Speaker 2: we're sitting here talking about college football.
- 54:40Speaker 1: This is our job, is kicker publicly?
- 54:45Speaker 2: I have I Borline cried fifteen times the last three
- 54:48Speaker 2: weeks is of Galt. These guys are going to war
- 54:52Speaker 2: and working in like steel mills.
- 54:55Speaker 1: This deal their wars remaining the front line like this
- 54:57Speaker 1: cyber wars going on right now and we're sitting comfortably
- 54:59Speaker 1: in this. We're just kind of hoping everything works out.
- 55:01Speaker 2: We have no idea, but there's wars taking place right
- 55:03Speaker 2: now via the internet.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Yeah, American Prime never more real, that's very real.
- 55:13Speaker 2: Dale Pavia. If he has a massive game against Tennessee,
- 55:16Speaker 2: he will be he will win the high school.
- 55:18Speaker 1: It's going to be there to be had.
- 55:19Speaker 2: It'll be there to be at Tennessee Neeland Stadium. We
- 55:22Speaker 2: were there for the Tennessee Alabama game. It was probably
- 55:25Speaker 2: the loudest environment I've ever seen in college football. Uh,
- 55:29Speaker 2: diego Pavia like he's taking the world by storm. Of
- 55:31Speaker 2: his mom's out there grinding on a pole during a
- 55:34Speaker 2: game going crazy, Like the whole Pavia family is just
- 55:38Speaker 2: going nuts. Theo Vonn has found himself in that situation.
- 55:44Speaker 2: I've been watching.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Film with with Vanderbil and I I I'll use this
- 55:49Speaker 1: a few weeks ago, and I I doubted them that
- 55:51Speaker 1: boys yesterday, Like you just gonna watch film and you're
- 55:54Speaker 1: just gonna pick.
- 55:55Speaker 3: I've been watching film on bandy and let me tell you,
- 55:57Speaker 3: these boys have never been more screwed.
- 55:59Speaker 2: Also, there's a lot of s on film, But I
- 56:02Speaker 2: don't think there's a group of offensive linemen that play
- 56:05Speaker 2: the game harder than these five guys do. The transition
- 56:09Speaker 2: they've had diego through the air of the last couple
- 56:11Speaker 2: of games is the reason why I'm thinking Vanderbilt to
- 56:13Speaker 2: cover this game plus two and a half.
- 56:15Speaker 1: I think they're gonna win.
- 56:18Speaker 2: But oh jack, wow, but I got I think I
- 56:22Speaker 2: think Vanderbilt is gonna cover well.
- 56:23Speaker 1: Can I ask your follow up question?
- 56:24Speaker 2: And you already picked you already picked Michigan on the
- 56:27Speaker 2: bus because your feelings got hurt. That's not your true feelings.
- 56:33Speaker 2: Anger is a mask of pain, is a mask of sadness,
- 56:36Speaker 2: and you're sad right now.
- 56:37Speaker 1: And that's okay. Onward, your medic clump, be medic clump,
- 56:47Speaker 1: go ahead. Tensions are high right here, Josh, you better
- 56:50Speaker 1: pick Tennessee.
- 56:53Speaker 3: I gotta ask you a question. If Vanderbilt wins their
- 56:56Speaker 3: ten and two, do they make the playoff?
- 56:58Speaker 1: Is your question? That's my question to you. Not if
- 57:00Speaker 1: Michigan beats A State. O Wow, is that the scenario?
- 57:08Speaker 1: There's gonna be a ten two team that gets let out?
- 57:10Speaker 1: I know, but it's so though. There'll be a lot
- 57:13Speaker 1: of these teams that are like ten and two will
- 57:14Speaker 1: have these you know, have their arguments.
- 57:17Speaker 3: Miami bring you you know what's gonna happen if they
- 57:19Speaker 3: don't get put in.
- 57:23Speaker 1: But we don't talk about that. Like even if Oho
- 57:25Speaker 1: State beats Michigan Vanderbilt being a ten or a ten
- 57:30Speaker 1: and two team, there's still a few different scenarios where
- 57:33Speaker 1: they don't make it. I think they're gonna be pissed.
- 57:34Speaker 1: I mean, they're gonna be in a bad spot. They're
- 57:36Speaker 1: gonna be in a bad spot. Wow, who you taking
- 57:39Speaker 1: in this game?
- 57:43Speaker 3: Tennessee's laying two and a half? Is that the number
- 57:45Speaker 3: we're going with? Models got and winning by three? I believe.
- 57:53Speaker 3: Last week I was very scared for Vanderbilt, Like Kentucky's
- 57:57Speaker 3: made a lot of noise.
- 57:58Speaker 1: They had won three in a row.
- 57:59Speaker 3: Kentucky was quietly one of the hotter teams in the
- 58:01Speaker 3: country that no one was paying attention to. Then you're watching,
- 58:04Speaker 3: You're looking on Instagram and Diego's everywhere butt Nashville, and
- 58:08Speaker 3: you've got Clark Lee involved in every job but the
- 58:11Speaker 3: Vanderbilt job. And I'm worried about distractions. I'm worried about focus.
- 58:15Speaker 3: And they put the laser on Kentucky's forehead last week.
- 58:18Speaker 1: There was never a.
- 58:19Speaker 3: Doubt in that game to where I mean, Tennessee just
- 58:23Speaker 3: got a big win over Florida. Florida dead body of
- 58:25Speaker 3: a team. So they just went down there and beat
- 58:27Speaker 3: on it for four quarters.
- 58:28Speaker 1: And that was fun. That was a nice tune up.
- 58:31Speaker 3: I thought I was going to solidly be Tennessee here
- 58:34Speaker 3: as I walked in this morning. I'm only very slightly Tennessee.
- 58:37Speaker 3: And if I'm only very slightly Tennessee, in Diego and
- 58:41Speaker 3: Diego's mom and Theo Vaughn. Everyone's riding over there, and
- 58:44Speaker 3: a playoff spot's on the line. For all I know,
- 58:46Speaker 3: Vanderbilts is never going to be in this position again.
- 58:49Speaker 3: I'll go with you. I'll take the points. And Vanderbilt
- 58:52Speaker 3: went out right.
- 58:53Speaker 1: I can't believe so Tennessee.
- 58:54Speaker 2: So just so Jack can hear this, Tennessee can win
- 58:56Speaker 2: still and we would still be right. We're picking Tennessee.
- 59:01Speaker 2: There's still an option where Tennessee wins.
- 59:02Speaker 1: Yeah, but he just said right before you said that,
- 59:05Speaker 1: he says, I got Vanderbilt winning out right. Oh well,
- 59:08Speaker 1: that changes everything you are? You are taking? What's that?
- 59:18Speaker 1: Jack is geared up, ready to go, geared up? Look
- 59:21Speaker 1: I Jack, I do love you, and I'm a fan
- 59:28Speaker 1: of Tennessee football. I truly am in this game. I'm
- 59:33Speaker 1: rooting for a story, and the story that I'm rooting
- 59:37Speaker 1: for is Vanderbilt over these last two years, coming on
- 59:41Speaker 1: the scene in college football and becoming a team you
- 59:44Speaker 1: have to respect. And the only guy you can think
- 59:47Speaker 1: about when you think of Vanderbilt Comoros. You could be
- 59:49Speaker 1: on the East coast, West coast. You hear Vanderbilt it's
- 59:51Speaker 1: Diego Pavia and this dude right now sitting in the
- 59:54Speaker 1: top three in Heisman because he has about three thousand
- 59:57Speaker 1: passing yards, over six hundred rushing, thirty four total touchdowns,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: and he's set up for a moment to walk in
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Kneeland Stadium, one of the most hostile stadiums in the
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: country for an in state you know, probably isn't like
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: seen as much of a rivalry. This year, it feels
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: like a rivalry because Vanderbilt's a good football team and
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Tennessee doesn't want to walk out of that stadium thinking
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: they just lost the little bro down the road. Diego
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Pavia becoming the Heisman in this moment, having a game,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: whether it's anywhere three to five touchdowns, having his moment
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: where he becomes the hero. Vanderbilt becomes this story to
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: where they're kicking in the door for the College Football Playoff.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: They might still be waiting on the outside, but that's
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: the way I would love to see them in the year,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: To see Pavia in his career, to see potentially Clark
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Lee before he goes off to somewhere else. Not saying
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: it's gonna happen, but that is a potential and what
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Vanderbilt's done over the last two years. I'm rooting for
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: that because if I look at Tennessee winning, Tennessee, they
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: want to win because they just want to beat down.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: They want to beat on their little bit you want
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: to keep. There's no like real thing beyond this game
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: of Tennessee wins and for those like for those reasons,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: that's why I'm going with Vanderbilt here. I'm gonna take Vanderbilt.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I'm not gonna take him to Discover I'm gonna take
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: him to win out right, because I'm rooting for the
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: story of Vanderbilt football, the city of Nashville, and Diego
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: Pavia to win the Heisman because I think it'd be
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: I think it'd be all the time and the.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: You said, like, after this season, clark Lee most likely
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: leaves Diego Pavia goes and goes to the NFL, and
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: I think everything kind of resets back to where it was.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: There could be a clump and he's in the gutter
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: now with recruits.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: And he's stay committed to NIL. If Clark League goes
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: and takes a head coaching job somewhere else.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: And altimately all to say, if this five star courts.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: If say they have an awesome recruiting class, say say
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: it doesn't reset and Vanderbilt continues to be a respected
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: team in the SEC. It's going to be because of
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Clark Lee. Who's the who's the other guy that they break?
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Because everybody talks about Clark Lee, But who's the guy
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: that also came with Diego, Tim Beck, Tim Jerry Kill,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Jerry Kill, Jerry Kill, Clark Kill. It'll be because of
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: those coaches and Diego Pavia put them in this conversation
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: and they'll get to carry on. That's legacy. That's a legacy. Yeah,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: you're laying that.
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: You could watch the Olympics or you could watch WrestleMania,
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: but if you want the story, you're more likely to
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: see it when you're watching WrestleMania. Like you want a
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: WrestleMania ending instead of an Olympic ending.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: I mean, the Olympics is real sport. The Olympics.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: It could get sideway as a guy could win by
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: ten stride links.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: You want the story, yea, And.
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: The story would be Vandy climbing the ladder in Niland
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: Stadium and grabbing the belt with everything on the line,
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: and you forced big brother to play spoiler and they
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: failed in their own building. Yeah you want that.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: In Niland Stadium too. That atmosphere is going to be electric, man,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Yeah it is. It's gonna be awesome. So yeah, that's
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: that's That's where I'm rolling boys. The game.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: Oh, this is it right here, greatest Robberry and all
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: of sports.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Do you believe that I will say yes? Yeah, I
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: will say yes.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: To bring you True Class sick. Listen the True Classic
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: Pima T shirts. The last three weeks, I've been in hell,
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: I've had a doubt, I've been in pain, and anytime
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: I'm feeling so down on myself, I go take the
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Pima True Classic T shirt. I put it on and
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: I'm like, at least you have this T shirt to
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: make you feel better about what's going on underneath everything.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: True Class that You can find Two Classic at Amazon
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: and Costco, Sam's Club and Target nationwide or online True
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: Classic dot Comports, Lash Busting, look Good, feel good, play good.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: Every Saturday's got games. Really one fits just right. This
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: is the True Classic Game of the Week. Number one
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: Ohio State at number fifteen Michigan the game Ryan Dave
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: versus Run Moore, Ohio State. I think it's nine and
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: a half now, but it saysn't the card here it
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: went back up to ten and a half. All right,
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: Ohio State minus ten and a half. Total points in
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: the game is forty four and a half points. Two teams,
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: incredible defenses, one offense. They've got two millions on both
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: sides this game.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: This is one hundred and thirties. You want to give
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: an I gonna I was even gonna try to rub hey,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: go ahead and stab like a spoiler. I'm going Michigan motherline.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: All right, we can, we can do the pump up
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: things all that I want. But this game just means
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: these two teams first met in eighteen ninety seven. They've
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: played annually all but once since nineteen eighteen. The one
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: time they didn't was because of the COVID year. I
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: have a few COVID stats that are coming up with
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: these games have This game has been played at the
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: end of the regular season since nineteen thirty five, and
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: in two thousand, ESPN ranked this game as the greatest
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: North American rivalry in sports. Ever. That was it? Yeah,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I wish like the South kind of has some of
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: these some of these fun little tidbits and stories. I
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: feel like this the Michigan uh having all these games
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: since like nineteen eighteen, they played annually every year. Are
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: you familiar every year? Are over one hundred years? Bro?
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: I know there's one hundred and thirty six meeting between
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: these two teams.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Root Beer was made in nineteen nineteen, thank you, same
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: year Hovey last name Hovey, yea Evelyn Hovey. The same
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: year that Evelyn Hovey was born, nineteen nineteen. Incredible, incredible?
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Are you familiar with the Ten Year War? The years?
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: What decade was this? This is nineteen sixty nine, Bo
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: sham Beckler. It's his first year at the University of Michigan.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: They're ranked number twelve in the country. They go in
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: against the number one team, Ohio State against Woody Hayes'.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Woody Hayes as the head coach. Good years, Bo Schambeckler,
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: his mentor was Woody Hayes, and so he left to
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: go to the University of Michigan. They were, you know,
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: I think thirteen and a half point underdogs in this game.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: They go to a Columbus. They have six interceptions in
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: that game and they end up winning that game. And
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: that is like the first spark of what turned into
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: like the ten year war that really set Like Ohio
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: State Michigan off onto like this hated crazy arrival. Like
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: in that time Michigan every time they run out of
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: the stadim there's one way into one way out in
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Michigan State and.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: You've been there before.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: And they hold up they hold up the M go
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: blue banner and every football player runs, they tap the thing.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: Ohio State comes out first and they tear down the
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: banner during this time like that that type of way.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: Ohio State beat the shit out of Michigan one time
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: and instead of kicking the pat they go for two.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: What he has in his press conference after the game,
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: They say, hey, why did you go for two? And
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: his answer was because I couldn't go for three. Like
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: that's the type of pettiness and the hate that's taking
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: place in this game. Like the last USUE of the
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: last four years, Michigan has won this game. Before that,
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: Ohio State won eighteen out of last twenty. Was is
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: that a correc stat? Eight And the last twenty your
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: boy was part of one of those wins. Like this
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: game is everything and as much as you like, you
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: hate Ohio State. The reason why there's so much hand Besides,
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: there's a level of respect. Like last year, I sat
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: here with a shell of words saying we're going to
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: go in there, They're going to shock the nation. We're
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: twenty a half point underdogs. End up being correct in that,
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: but in that moment when you don't have a passing game,
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: it's like I'm kind of just saying things and like,
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: you know, staying in the battles box for my team.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: They end up winning that game. Going after Ryan Day,
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: Like Brian Harline, it's his first year being the OC.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: He's done an incredible job recruiting the wide receivers. Their
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: wide receiver year. They have Jeremi Smith, Cardinal Tate, who
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: are you know, top five picks in this NFL draft?
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Are they going to play? They're not.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Jeremi Smith does a podcast every single week. His podcast
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: that came out yesterday, he said he's going to play
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: in this game, which is what you want to keep
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: this rivalry intact. There's like a there's so much that
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: rides on this game, and it's not just like this year.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: If Michigan wins this game, they make the playoffs, and
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: if Ahio State wins. It's like they finally have done
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: something that has taken their national championship away in a
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: lot of ways. People every time when they won the
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: NAST championship, they able to celebrate. Everyone's like, yeah, but
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: you couldn't beat Michigan. You can't beat Michigan and against
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: a team that had no passing game, made you play
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: their version of football and you want and you cannot
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: beat them in a toughness battle, trenches battle. So now
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: Michigan's a better football team they were last year. We
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: have a quarterback that has gone on Rich Eisen and
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: said that you've never seen a quarterback like me. Goes
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: up to Lebron James says, y'all never gonna win again.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: He's had a up and down year to say the least.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: But our passing game is much better than it was
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: last year. They bring Matt Patricia from Ohio State. Their
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: defense is number one in all of college football. And Buddy,
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: as much as it seems like this is Ohio State,
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: like there's something about the winged helmet and Ryan Day
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: and his ability, he just goes he gets men in blacked,
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: his brain goes crazy, and this is I'm just telling you, like,
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: there's not a whole lot of things you can say,
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: we have this better, we have that better.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: But this game at home, this is Michigan. This is
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Michigan winning this game.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: There's a worldhere. Michigan wins this game by multiple touchdowns.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: I mean Julian saying, is he not a freshman as well?
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Sure is plays the first year starter.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: He is the first year start as a retro freshman.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: Has he had his his freshman game? Has he played
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: in the game before? No, Like he's in the Heisman conversation.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: He's in the Heisman conversation. Completion ready, However, he's got
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: two aliens, Like there's a world where he just funks up.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: The same thing goes for branx under world, Like this
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: game could go crazy on both sides, but this game,
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: this game wins Michigan regardless of what the line says.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: I think he finds out the experience of this game.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: But opening freshman quarterback opening with Texas. Obviously seasons played
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: out how they played out, But that feeling and moment
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: that he had there, I think he got a taste.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: He got a taste to where it's it's not that
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: this won't be the first time he's feeling something like that,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: it'll be the first one because he's experienced the experiencing
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: the game Texas. It doesn't come close to Michigan. Also,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: this is like I understand I'm just talking about in
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: all of sports about for a freshman every.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: Day winter, spring, summer, you don't go a day at Michigan,
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: right Ohio State without hearing like we have to beat
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: in Ohio States terms the team up north. They're too
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: scared to even say our name, Like there's a there's
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: a there's a ticker in the weight room that counts
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: down to the second when we play as the game,
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: like you are told about it over and over and
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: over again. You can't step in these buildings and not
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: spend a couple hours there without hearing about the team
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: up North or Ohio State any of the stuff. It is, dude,
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: it's everything, it's everything. We should have won it in
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: twenty twelve, twenty thirteen. Yeah, now I will say this,
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: the line is what it is. If you guys want
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: to go, I'm not going to hold it against you
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: guys for the sake of your record or whatever. Like
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: there's no there's no bad blood.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: That's bate. No. I swear to God.
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: I swear to God because I know your your computer
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: is saying the number is just right right now, So.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: It's all good.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: This doesn't have to be a trenches game where I
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: need everybody behind Like this is you guys, pick whatever
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: you want. We've seen how the last four years have gone,
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: and I expected to stay the status quo for the
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: last four years. This is not I'm not joking.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: I'm taking Michigan with the points, okay, respectfully, because I
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: am rooting for Michigan. You're my guy. I want to
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: see this like I would love to see Michigan upset
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Ohio State again because as a as a third party,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: getting to watch this hate between both fan bases unfold,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: it's so entertaining to me. And if it happened again, like,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: oh my god, there's just I just think. I think
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: about Ohio State and they're an incredible football team. Outside
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: of last week the performance you guys had against Maryland,
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: I'm thinking Michigan, like this game that's about to happen,
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Ohio State is going to blow the doors off of
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: this team. The way you guys played last week and
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: the momentum that's shifting towards this game. I do believe
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: that Michigan has a shot to win this game. It's
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: so hard to not sit here and think about the
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: victory lapse. Similar to a few weeks ago when we
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: were talking about Alabama Vanderbilt, when the minute they beat Georgia,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: there's not even celebration happening because they can't wait to
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: get their paws on Vanderbilt because of all the circles
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: that Vandy's been taking around Alabama. This one feels wildly different.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: You got kids at schools re enacting the scene of
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: planning the flag in Ohio State, like Ryan Day, like
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: for the ego of Howe State to get involved in
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: last year's game and try to win in a certain
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: way physically because they knew Michigan couldn't run the football
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: and they wanted to kind of prove a point versus
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: like going out there and just winning the game and
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: playing to your strengths and playing Ohio State football then
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: walking away losing that game. This is a game that's
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: haunted that entire team, you know, obviously for the last
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: four years, but most importantly this last year year. I
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: do think Ohio State is just licking their chough to
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: put try and put both hands to get both hands
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: around Michigan's throat. But I'm riding with you. I'm taking
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Michigan to cover. But just to caution Michigan fans, this,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: this Ohio State team, in my opinion, is gonna come
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: out differently. I can't wait to watch this game because again,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: I want fireworks, I want chaos. I would love to
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: see Bryce Underwood have a game because he had a
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: stretch here before this past week where he didn't throw
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: for a touchdown in a few games. Like I'd love
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: to see him have a moment because he is a
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: specimen of an athlete. Like this running game, continue to improve,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: like going against an incredible Matt Patricia defense. Like again,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: people kind of have a question mark with Ohio State.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: They have an easy cupcake schedule, They've taken care of
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: business against the spread. They kind of handle all these
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: football teams. I think the biggest thing that it's hard
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: to just it's hard to talk about a team defensively,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: but this defense is for real. I'm excited for this game.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: Michigan with the points, this is going to be electric.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: This is going to be electric.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: Ohio State the best rush offense they've played all year
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: was Penn State and their sixtieth in the country.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: There it is Michigan's top ten there it is. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: I mean we have six freshmen starting on offense.
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: We don't have a player on our roster that's ever
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: lost to Ohio State. And Ohio State they don't have
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: a player on their roster's ever beaten Michigan. They don't
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: know the feeling, like you're talking about hands around the throw,
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: like Alabama knows what it's like to choke out Vanderbilt
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: with one hand. Ohio State doesn't even know how to
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: even go about the process to beat this team. They
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: don't have any player that knows how to do that
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: because they haven't in four years. To the point where
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: Jack saw seniors last year who could have gone to
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: the NFL. Multiple stayed for their senior year because we
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: have to beat Michigan. Michigan has eighteen guys get drafted
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: by the NFL. We cannot throw the ball and they
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: still lost at home.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: They can't figure it out, and opportunities there, and the
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: thing that makes this game amazing is, yeah, Michigan won
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: the last four haw State wins. This next one it's like.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: You guys are the king of castle right now, and
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: there's not like I will sit there with my shell
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: of a self and say, yeah, but we won the
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: last four, but it won't mean anything because the last
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: game that was one was won by Hot State and
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: that's just how it is.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: There's not like you don't own. But with this fan base,
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: it never stops and never stopped like if a haa
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: State wins this game, it ain't you're the king of
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: the castle, like it'll keep going that way. But then
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: it's just it's Michigan, like if they can't win the Natty,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: they'll they'll be back. That's what makes this rivalry awesome.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: It's beautiful, so many five stars gonna be this game
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: club God bless. What do you got on this game?
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: Josh, I didn't say a word. I sat here ten minutes,
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: beautifully said. I didn't need to add anything. But I
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: could put my thumb up to my pulse right now
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: and it increased a little bit. You know how when
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: you're sitting down you can feel your heart rate. So
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: I feel it right now with good reason. Everything you
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: said about this game beautifully eloquently put it's spot on.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: I grew up in the South.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: I watched this game from a distance, but I didn't
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: get to experience it until twenty twenty one.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: I've experienced four of these.
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: Everyone who's been a Michigan win, some say I'm responsible
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: for the street. I don't say that's some say that
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: I don't say that. So I've said I have a
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: Michigan problem. This has been the Michigan problem. I've picked
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: against them four years in a row. I've had really,
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: really good logic. But last year was the one that
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: really messed me up a little bit because last year,
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: if you put yourself in the shoes of Ryan Day.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Of Chip Kelly, of Jim Knowles.
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: Like, you've got an all star cast of coaches, you've
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: got all your players returning, you've got an all star
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: cast of players, You've got home field, you've got sun like,
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: weather's not going to be an issue. I remember the
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: forecast was bad earlier in the weekend. Then it clears
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: up and it's sunny it kickoff, so that's not going
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: to get in your way. And you're favored by three touchdowns.
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: That was supposed to be like an afternoon.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: That was a coronation.
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: It was supposed to be an afternoon where you know,
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: Buckeye fans kind of came together. We're gonna have a
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: fun four quarters in the shoe. You know, we'll beat Michigan.
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: We'll finally get the stupid little streak out of the way,
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: and then we'll go on to the playoff. When the
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: game started to unfold last year the way it did,
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: and then it you know, you're still like it's a
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: close score at halftime. But I was in college station
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: because I was going to the Texas game, and I'm
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: thinking to myself in the hotel room, they're gonna pull
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: away in the second half, Like good for Michigan though,
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: for making this a fight.
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: And I'm sitting there at halftime, like, hey, this has
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: been amazing, but the Jasse probably pull away in the
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: second half, Like every logical person in the world thinks.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: That because you hadn't played a great game. Michigan didn't
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: even play a great game. That was the thing I
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: took away from it is Michigan like clunked their way
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: to a win as a three touchdown favorite, which meant
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: Ohio State like there was something mental at that point
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: where they really couldn't get over the hump and win.
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: That game went into the fourth quarter. Pucker meter goes eight,
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: nine pucker meters at ten, and then you throw a
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: pick down near the goal line. That's supposed to be ballgame.
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: Michigan got close. This was a way bigger scare than
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: we thought it was going to be. But Jack Sawyer
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: picked it off. That's why you're a senior, That's why
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: you come back. That's his moment. He just defined his legacy.
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: This team's about to define their legacy. Three and out,
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: Michigan against the ball, A couple of key third down conversions,
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: kick the field goal, Ohio State's done. I've never been
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: more shocked, I don't think, given the circumstances, given the stakes,
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: I don't think I've ever been more shocked watching the
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: outcome of a game. And then I had to go
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: on air the next day because I had picked Ohio
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: State for the fourth year in a row, and I
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: had to own it. And I swore to myself that day,
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: don't care what's spread is next year, don't care what
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: the dynamics are.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: I will take Michigan. I've never wavered off that. I
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: don't care.
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: I could give you thirty seven reasons why Ohio State
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: should win this game. I could have given you fifty
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: seven last year. I will no longer be proven wrong
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: by Michigan winning this game. If I'm going to be
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: proven wrong, it's going to because Ryan Day and Ohio
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: State frankly do what they should do. I'll take Michigan
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: to cover. I'll take Michigan to win a game and
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: have no problem doing it.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: Eighty two chance of.
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: Snow in this game, Saturday high of thirty degrees and
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: twos Michigan football.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: And you know, because Ohio State they've been wildly successful,
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: like again, they'll be in the same position again next year,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: I'm sure. But losing again to Michigan for a fifth
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: time in a row, that's a half decade we own
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: them then, that that is it's truly become a game
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: where yeah, throw like throw everything out the window, like
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: you don't know, Like there's this team. Now you can
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: start talking about curses, you can start talking about this,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: that and the other game already nobody can wrap their mind.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, but again, if it happens again, I
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: don't see. I don't see how you get out of it.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: Maybe just a straight up trade. There was a coach like,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: do you think Ryan Day being fired gets brought up
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: again if they can't beat Michigan.
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: Which is crazy and I love love for you to
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: talk about the article you read. But there's a coach
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: from Ohio State. His last name is Cooper.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: I believe John Cooper, John Cooper.
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: He had an incredible record as state, incredible. He went
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: one and four against Michigan, and he got fired because
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: the standard is to beat Michigan at a hot state.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: Yeah, lost his job because he had I think he
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: had nine ten win seasons, couldn't beat up, couldn't beat Michigan,
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: and he got fired because that Ryan Day's record versus
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: Michigan one and.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: Four, Yeah, man, he could have there. There was the
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: worst record of ine Ohio State coach. There was a
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: there was an article last week that was essentially he
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: was breaking down Jim Trussell's record than how Urban Meyer
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: takes over at Ohia State. Urbamia does what he does
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: at Ohia State. And then the whole Ryan Day being
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: on third base like he's taken on a program where
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: who knows it because he's going to live up to
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: the standard. And the article basically proving right that Ryan
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: Day didn't live up to the standard. He exceeded it
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: and created a new standard for how much he's woned
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: Ohio State. But yeah, even that, Like for fans who
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: I think we're talking way too much about this game,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: they don't get it, and yeah, they don't get it,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: or they just hate And I see that, Like I
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: understand that world where you just hate seeing the Ohio
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: State fans and Michigan fans and all this pompous back
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: and forth arrogance. They're all hating each other saying X,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: Y and Z. If you can just remove yourself from
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: that and see this game, for yeah, this is the
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: best rivalry for you never know what's gonna happen. It's
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: all the history behind it, the ten year war. Coaches
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: truly like it will It would get brought up. It
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: will get brought up Michigan beats Ohio State this weekend, like, hey,
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: do you fire Ryan day All because you can't beat
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: one football team. I'm gonna tell you that everybody across
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: the board hates they hate each other.
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: I'm gonna tell you I don't like years from now,
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: when I think back about the twenty twenty four Ohio
- 1:21:50Speaker 3: State team, it would be impossible for me to think
- 1:21:52Speaker 3: about the national title without thinking about the Michigan game.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: Right, And you would? You would.
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: You could come back at me and say, well, do
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: you say that about any other team that lost the game?
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: No, no other team plays a game like this.
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: That's but Ryan I have set every spring I go
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: to Columbus, Ohio. Every spring, I sit face to face
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: with Ryan Day. The past four years, I've asked him
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: about this game. The past four years, He's looked me
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: dead in the eye and says, that's part of being
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: the head coach at Ohio State. If you can't beat them,
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: that's part of it. I gotta wear that. I've got
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: to accept that. Like I'll give him credit. He's never
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: run from it, like he's never ducked it, so he
- 1:22:27Speaker 3: gets it. That's part of being Ohio State. When you
- 1:22:30Speaker 3: commit there, you know Michigan's on the schedule every year.
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: You know what the dynamic of that rivalry is.
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: They don't take.
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: Kids that don't get it, nor do they at Michigan.
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: So it fundamentally alters my viewpoint of your season. If
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: you lose this game, no matter what you do the
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: rest of the way. And I know, like a lot
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: of Ohio State fans tried to comfort themselves because they
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: went on to win the national championship, so they tried
- 1:22:52Speaker 3: to like devalue the impact of the loss. If it
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: were Michigan in that position, Ohio State fans will be
- 1:22:59Speaker 3: saying the same thing I'm saying right now. So it's
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: it's just the logo that you're wearing on the chest
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: that makes you take the respective side, because you know, goodwell,
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: if you're an Ohio State fan and you've run up
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: four in a row on them, but otherwise they're rolling,
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: and otherwise they went on to win a national championship,
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: you'd beat the first ones to say couldn't beat us, though, Man,
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: I mean, what does it really mean if you can't
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: win your biggest game? But then there's this man made
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: playoff because this game God created this game. Man created
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: the playoff. Okay, so you can't win the game that's natural.
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: You can't win the game that's been there since the
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: dinosaurs room of the earth. Basically, Yeah, I mean, we
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: created this college football playoff and it's really corporatized, and
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: you played in like these sanitized neutral site NFL environments.
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: Good for you. You got a third chance, you lost two games.
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: Because they expanded the playoff, you got another shot, and
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: finally your third time around the Merry go round, it
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: clicked for you, but you couldn't beat us. You'd be
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: saying that to Michigan. If you were an Ohio State
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: fan and you had lost four or and you'd won
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: four in a row, you'd be saying that to Michigan.
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: So I'm just telling you my viewpoint on it. I
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: grew up in Harris County, Georgia. I had no allegiance
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: to either team. It fundamentally impacts my view of a
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: team when they lose this game, no matter what they
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: achieve the rest of the way.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: That's how big the game is. Hell yeah, awesome. I
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: can't wait.
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: And I just want to give advice, Like if you're
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: if you're up there, you know, and if you're an
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: Ohio State fan, you're a Michigan fan and you win
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: the game, congrats to you in advance. If someone says
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: hey to you in the airport, shut them up a
- 1:24:24Speaker 3: little bit after shut them up, You never know them
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: could be around the corner.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: We're going to get into the rest of rivalry weekend
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: with this rapid fire Ish segment. We have what eleven game? Yeah?
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: We eleven games to go? All right, the first one up?
- 1:24:41Speaker 5: Do you want me to go through them?
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: Yeah? Go ahead, michol Bultra Superior is worth playing for.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: Right now? The record is I'm up? Is it seven
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: to six? Or am I up? I'm up to? Right? Eight?
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: I think I think Taylor's up to I'm eight and
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: six against will time out of time out. Now he's healthy.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: Now now it's time to take the governor off on
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: this one. Oh yeah, now you gotta take me out?
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Do you want to do the whole I'm going this? No, no, no, no,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: because that one's like again you were we were talking
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: potential surgery. We were talking potential yeah yeah, this could
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: creep up to a smart big yeah yeah. Right, okay,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: so you're healthy, you're walking. What is the record? Eight
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: and six?
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: So right now eight six Superior's worth playing for, Michelobultrum.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: Yes, I needed that one. I need that Superiors worth
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: playing for. Happy Thanksgiving?
- 1:25:32Speaker 5: All right, first game up? We got number four Georgia
- 1:25:35Speaker 5: at number twenty three Georgia Tech Georgia is thirteen and
- 1:25:38Speaker 5: a half point favorites over under fifty nine and a half.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: So this game is considered clean, old fashioned hate. In
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: eighteen ninety one, the first known hostilities with these two programs,
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: Georgia the University of Georgia. Their schools magazine declared the
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: colors to be old gold, black and crimson for Georgia,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: and then they're one of their first coaches, his name
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: is doctor Charles Hurdy, felt gold, the coach for Georgia,
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: felt gold was too similar to yellow and the yellow
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: symbolized cowardice. Georgia Tech chooses old gold and white as
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: they as like a slap in the face to Georgia.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: And then after their game and eighteen ninety three, two
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: years later, after this magazine and choosing the old gold
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: and hey it's cowardice, Georgia Tech chooses old gold as
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: one of their colors to slap George in the face.
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: They play in eighteen ninety three, Georgia Tech wins, and
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: coach Charles Hurdy, the coach for Georgia Bulldogs, removed the
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: old gold from their school's colors.
- 1:26:38Speaker 3: You don't see official, you don't see teams changing their
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: colors anymore after a loss.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: Eighteen ninety three, I love it.
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: I'm so glad you went through and did this while
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: George Kittle is body bag fires me up. I'm taking Georgia. Yea,
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: Georgia and a half.
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: They're playing this game in Mercedes ben Stadium. Yes, they
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: are to give Georgia Tech twelve million extra dollars. The
- 1:26:59Speaker 3: trade off is gonna be George is gonna win the
- 1:27:01Speaker 3: game of cover and may be very they may be
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: right back in that building the next week to play
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: conference title game.
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: Yeah, beautiful, ACC man.
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: Next game number thirteen, Miami at number twenty four, Pitt
- 1:27:11Speaker 5: Miami six and a half point favorites over under fifteen
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: and a half.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: You boys take it. I got to do a forecast
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: check right quick. I'm gonna take so not a whole
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: lot of fun facts. This isn't like like Miami's rivalries
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: or is Florida State. Pitt believes they're in a rivalry
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: with Penn State Notre Dame. So these two schools playing
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: this is just like this just an ACC game. I'm
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: gonna take Pitt to cover here plus six and a half.
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: I'm one and one betting against Pitt. We're gonna find
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: it on Saturday. I'm going to Miami minus six and
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: a half.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: Carlson Beck. Big game, big, big game on the line.
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: How is it gonna be in these big games?
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: So everything's on the line from Miami here, we saw
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: Notre Dame go up there and handle Pitt. We've got
- 1:27:50Speaker 3: temperatures in the mid thirties. Here slight chance of afternoon
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: snow showers. We're gonna watch Miami in frigid conditions with
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: their season on the line. Just went up to Virgin
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: Unia Tech and handled business. Second consecutive road game, seventh
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: consecutive game they're playing. I've had this one circled all year.
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: I've been worried about them. But I will take Miami
- 1:28:09Speaker 3: to win and cover.
- 1:28:11Speaker 5: Next game, Arizona at Arizona State, Arizona one and a
- 1:28:15Speaker 5: half point favorites over under forty eight and a half.
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: Known as the Duel in the Desert. They played for
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: the Territorial Cup. It's the oldest rivalry trophy in college football.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: It's been known to have a lot of different nicknames,
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: the Battle of Arizona, the Grand Canyon Rivalry. Not to
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: be confused with Northern Arizona and Southern Utah. Because I
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: was just about to say that, okay, yea desert Wars,
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: Cactus War, the Phoenix and Tucson Rivalry. The reason it
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: was called the Phoenix and Tucson Rivalry was due to
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: both schools being located in the state's two largest metropolitan areas,
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: with Arizona State being in Timpe Phoenix East suburb and
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: Arizona located within the Tucson city limits. I have Arizona
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: this game. I'm taking Arizona State, coach Dillingham. I arrived
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: with you brother. Also Charlie Ragel. Yeah, have you heard
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: about Charlie Now.
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: I was watching one of the games the other day
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: and like someone was stepping in as a special teams coach.
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: Apparently Charlie Ragl was having health issues. He's got a
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: step away.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: I called him, texted him, no response back, So I
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: have no idea how Charlie's doing. Oh damn, it's heartbreaking. Yeah,
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: you speak hy, You've told some good skills. I'm without Charlie.
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: I'm not. I'm not in a position I was in football, So.
- 1:29:21Speaker 3: Definitely I think the wrong team's favorite here. Arizona State
- 1:29:24Speaker 3: is going to win this game handedly.
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: Right here to coffee place one of those little little
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: bluck boys.
- 1:29:29Speaker 5: Next game, Clemson at South Carolina JP will be in attendance.
- 1:29:34Speaker 5: UH South Carolina's minus two and a half over under
- 1:29:37Speaker 5: forty six and a half.
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: The Palmetto Bowl. It ran uninterrupted from nineteen oh nine
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: to twenty nineteen, making it the second largest our second
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: longest continuous rivalry in Division one football, only behind Minnesota
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: and Wisconsin. And why they had to why it stopped
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: in twenty nineteen.
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: Covid up Minnesota. They have a trophy game against it.
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: I think everybody it's Florida Rosdale against Iowa. It's the
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: greatest trophy in sports.
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: It's the only trophy I've got on my set. South
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: Carolina taking him to win and cover people have died in.
- 1:30:14Speaker 3: This Robberry, by the way, it's the way it should be.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: Gp Like they do the tiger burn. Is it called
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: tiger burn? Tiger burn? And then they do like a
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: mock funeral for the cock. And in two thousand and
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: seven in an ocean house, I want to say they
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: were doing the tiger burn. It caught fired people. Yeah,
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: there were casualties. Could I just did they do it again?
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: I believe they taught they switched it to tear down
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: the tiger. The tiger teardown or something like that. Guys
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: they got back to Bernie do what Yeah, yeah, it
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: only happened that year. When that happened, they're like, all right,
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: let's just do the Tiger tear down. And then the
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: next year they went back to the Tiger burn probably
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: lost hunh.
- 1:30:53Speaker 3: Wow, Terry Bowden Right, Tommy Bouten, Tommy Bouten, you have
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: never really lived until you've listened to when William Coompton,
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: dead serious talk about a funeral for the cock and
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: then you glance over and Clay Matthew's mouth is wide open.
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: What they had a what for a what? Yeah?
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: My fun you know he went six and zero on
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: our NFL show. Well, it's a lot of favorite money lines,
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: so no reason to clap. I'm gonna take South Carolina.
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: This is a ride with JP, This is you ride
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: with your boys.
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: Do you feel like you owe it to him? Because
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: I feel like I owe it to him?
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: Uh? Yeah, I don't. I think I don't own nothing.
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: I owe it to you. I love you. I've I've
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: said some things that make you deflate. I've said something
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: that makes you go, man, what are you talking about?
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: I'm picking South Carolina to win. Shane's got to have this.
- 1:31:51Speaker 3: Clemson has been hot, but that's okay. People thought they
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: were last year.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: South Carolina will win this game at home. They will
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: defend the cockpit.
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: Also, I don't know if you heard the court here.
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: This is this is insanity. It's way different, it's way differ.
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: Did you give your pick? Did you give?
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: Is not a real rivalry. It's not a real rivalry.
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: Next game, because Vanderbilt is good this year.
- 1:32:14Speaker 5: Tennis Florida State Florida State at Florida Florida minus one
- 1:32:18Speaker 5: and a half favorites, fifty one and a half over under.
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: These two teams first met in nineteen to fifty eight
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: and have played every year except twenty twenty. Dude to Covid,
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: I'll take Florida. I'm gonna take Florida State. Wow, you
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: like what you've seen from them lately? Huh Yeah, I
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: kind of like it a lot, and just knowing like
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: there's just just also bad taste in my mouth with
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: clump and this Florida bullshit and this fandom and trolling
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: and they got mopped by Tennessee. Like that's a good point. Fuck,
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: I'm just taking Florida State. You know, we've seen they
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: played in Friday last week. This is the punt.
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: Oh, yes, we're special teams exchange they're dead.
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: Yeah, i'll take. I'll take. You're going to Florida.
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: We've seen some coaches sign extensions, like Luke Fickle signed
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: his extension, and all of a sudden, Wisconsin starts winning games.
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: So they did announce they're going to bring Mike Norvell back.
- 1:33:12Speaker 3: The statement essentially read, we can't afford to fire you yet,
- 1:33:15Speaker 3: we're gonna let you hang around one more year. A
- 1:33:17Speaker 3: little more worriedy than that, but that was the gist
- 1:33:19Speaker 3: of it. The model, for some reason, and I don't
- 1:33:22Speaker 3: know why, has this as like a sixty percent cover
- 1:33:25Speaker 3: probability for Florida State. So that reason, and that reason
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: alone is why I'm tailing you. Because I feel terrible
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: about this terrible So this game.
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: I wrote down all the spreads and everything else this
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: game right here. I have both team circle yep, because
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: I do you know, I'm thinking, actually think you put
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: a next through both teams. But I'm gonna tall. I'm
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: so tired of this game not mattering. This game should
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: be a huge game. I know Florida State. I'll take them.
- 1:33:49Speaker 5: Next game UCLA at number nineteen USC USC minus twenty
- 1:33:54Speaker 5: one and a half over under fifty nine and a half.
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: So I searched far and wide for a fun fact
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: on this game, and this is this is all I got.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: It is annually anticipated as the biggest college football game
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: in the state of North Carolina. Oh North Carolina. All right, wait,
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: you're doing my U c l A U s C
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: U n C H Is this U c l A
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: U s C. Behore my fault hold on my next one?
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: On my Look, that's fair Florida state. This is when
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: George came in and just we'll hock the world with me. Yeah,
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: uh so, which one is this? U C L A
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: U s C before you give it? Nothing on this team?
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: Nothing on this, I'll think the Trojans. I'll think the Trojans.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: Let me see if I circled anything much different team
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: at home, such a dominant team at home.
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: There we go another one. U C l A U
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: s C. Both circled. So I don't really what's the
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: model think on this?
- 1:34:52Speaker 3: U c L A plus the points thinks USC wins
- 1:34:54Speaker 3: comfortably U c L A plus the points If it's
- 1:34:56Speaker 3: twenty one, what are we getting?
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: What number? We getting? Twenty one and a half. I'll
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: take you cl I'll take Ucla. I didn't realize it
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: was twenty one out u Cla plus. It's gonna win
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: though by two touchdowns. Ucla plus the points.
- 1:35:06Speaker 5: Now will North Carolina at NC State.
- 1:35:09Speaker 3: Headed the biggest game in California annually?
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: Here I searched far and wide for some fun facts
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: on this game, and this is all I have. It
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: is annually anticipated as the biggest college football game in
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: the state of North Carolina. Wow, let's see what I
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: got here. I don't have anybody circled. I have on
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: the on the right, I have underwritten out. I'm taking
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: the under forty eight and a half? Is you runner?
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: This is actually one of my favorite bets of the week.
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: I love North Carolina plus the points.
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: I'll think plus points yeah.
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: Next game number five, Oregon at Washington, Oregon is minus
- 1:35:43Speaker 5: six and a half over under fifty one and a half.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: The Cascade Clash, the Fight for the Forest. They played
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: for the John Barry Cup. It is one out of
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: twenty five of the most played rivalries in football history.
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: Started in nineteen hundred and in nineteen eleven, a quarterback
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: by the name of we Coil executed the bunk play.
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: The bunk play where he took off his leather helmet,
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: his yeah, his leather headset, hit it under his shirt
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: and pretended that that was the ball, and that's why
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: we were got him. You got him, They got him.
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: Last week, I said that Oregon Dan Lenny does not
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: make a habit of covering. He's heard us a lot
- 1:36:26Speaker 2: on the show. He obviously proved me wrong texted him.
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: Solo said, Hey, good Win, way to cover. Just thumbs
- 1:36:32Speaker 2: up it. So I will take Oregon minus six and
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: a half.
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: What's the model like here?
- 1:36:37Speaker 3: Party kind of likes Washington model thinks the numbers about right.
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: Jetfish's name is out there for some jobs just Steph
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: Wyatt's a.
- 1:36:45Speaker 3: Little quieter, but jet If look, if I'm gonna mention
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: Lincoln Riley's name, I gotta mention everyone's name only to
- 1:36:50Speaker 3: be fair. Jetfish's name is out there. I think Oregon
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: kinda you know, like the downhill momentum thing is real
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: with them. This is a tough tri up up there.
- 1:37:00Speaker 3: I think defensively they're gonna limit Washington enough. I'll take
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: Oregon to win and I'll take them to cover anything
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: under a touchdown. And I will say I sat in
- 1:37:09Speaker 3: Oregon's team meetings Friday, and a lot of the talk
- 1:37:12Speaker 3: that you know, people like you have been doing about
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: their inability to cover it's been heard. Oh god, it's
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: been heard.
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: Love that I'll go Oregon as well. Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving.
- 1:37:24Speaker 5: Next game, LSU at number eight Oklahoma Oklahoma minus ten
- 1:37:27Speaker 5: and a half over under thirty six and a half.
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: Cool, no real history here, fun facts, Oklahoma minus ten
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: and a half. Okay, My notes here say Oklahoma na
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: ist ten and a half.
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: I think Oklahoma woman my two touchdowns. LSU seasons completely
- 1:37:42Speaker 3: mailed in half. The players aren't playing, and I mean
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: they got to go to Oklahoma for this game. I
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: don't even think they're interested in making the trip. The
- 1:37:49Speaker 3: newness has worn off a little. Interim coach Sugar High
- 1:37:51Speaker 3: has worn off, wore off quickly. I'll take Oklahoma. LSU
- 1:37:55Speaker 3: may not score ten and a half, so I think
- 1:37:57Speaker 3: Oklahoma covers ten and a half. Is this one of
- 1:37:59Speaker 3: your favorite bet It's not one of my favorites. Only
- 1:38:01Speaker 3: fifty two percent cover probability, but I personally like it. Okay,
- 1:38:07Speaker 3: he's freeing my boy. I know I talk about my
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: dad that way all the time.
- 1:38:11Speaker 5: Second, the last game, Virginia Tech at number seventeen, Virginia
- 1:38:14Speaker 5: Virginia minus nine and a half over under fifty two
- 1:38:17Speaker 5: and a half.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: Is this a chaos game? I like a chaos game.
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: I like Virginia Tech here to cover any notes. No,
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: that's that's bullshit on me. I'll ride for chaos. I'll
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: do Virginia Tech to cover. I'll take Virginia Tech to cover.
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: Think Virginia wins by about six or seven. Final game
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: thirty the Commonwealth Clash. So what's referred to as.
- 1:38:46Speaker 5: The final game on the slate Iowa at Nebraska Iowa
- 1:38:51Speaker 5: minus six and a half over under thirty nine and
- 1:38:55Speaker 5: a half.
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: Underlooks good. Under looks good, so does Nebraska to cover.
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: Fun fact about Iowa. Nebraska's people can stand in bowl
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: states by straddling the line in the middle of the
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: Bobkerry pedestrian bridge over the Missouri River. Who's amongst us?
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: Fun fact?
- 1:39:15Speaker 2: Who was born in the fifty states that are connected?
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: And you can probably do.
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: That in most of them lie, but not on a bridge,
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: a bridge not over the Missouri River. Have you heard
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: about the four corners? Yeah? Okay, who was born four states?
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: You were born in Missouri. What's Willy C's record against
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: Iowa as a player as a player, Three and one,
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: two and oh Nebraska plus six and a half. Nebraska
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: money just like last week, Nebraska money line for Willy C.
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: For the people out there, everything else going on. Nebraska
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: to cover.
- 1:39:49Speaker 5: Will is one and eight betting with Nebraska this year,
- 1:39:52Speaker 5: but two.
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: And oh against Iowa as a player. Yeah, that was
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: that was crazy.
- 1:39:56Speaker 5: That was a stat that clumps whispered in my ear,
- 1:39:59Speaker 5: you know.
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: Clumps clumps in deep water with this whole entire company
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: right now? How am I one and eight? What's my one?
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: What's my one? I think it was Michigan? Which one
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: did I win? You guys are favored by two and
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: a half, and you guys won by three.
- 1:40:17Speaker 6: Nebraska plus one and a half.
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: Wock boy. Listen, I'm gonna get.
- 1:40:26Speaker 5: Will Josh.
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: What do you pay? All right? Taylor Josh? They covered
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: against us?
- 1:40:31Speaker 2: C Oh no, no, whats this is it?
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: Man. I'll climb in with you. I'll climb in with you. Nebraska.
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: You ain't in Nebraska, Hey, you ain't a Nebraska.
- 1:40:43Speaker 3: Guy, give me Iowa. Give me Iowa lay the points. No,
- 1:40:47Speaker 3: I can't do it. Give me Nebraska. You're undefeated against
- 1:40:50Speaker 3: them as a player. Give me Nebraska fifty six percent
- 1:40:54Speaker 3: cover prop give me Nebraska six and a half. Right, yeah,
- 1:40:58Speaker 3: give me Nebraska.
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: Okay, I'll take Nebraska as well because boys, Yeah, I
- 1:41:02Speaker 2: will Yeah.
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: Sawah heyweek GBR. That's the show. Great show, great show,
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: great show, big uck sidy kisses lead comments. We talked
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: about a lot of games. There's only one that matters.
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: Happy Thanksgiving, travel, safe tonight today, and let's win them
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: all this weekend them all.
