- 0:01Speaker 1: My subject. He is walk me through it. The wait
- 0:08Speaker 1: no no, no, no, no no no no, no, no, no no.
- 0:11Speaker 1: This is not for the people who take no risk.
- 0:16Speaker 1: This is not for the people who see their way clear.
- 0:19Speaker 1: This is for the people who dare to go into
- 0:21Speaker 1: adventurous spaces that they have never gone before, that you
- 0:26Speaker 1: have never been trained for before. It doesn't make sense
- 0:29Speaker 1: that you would have this opportunity that's been afforded to you,
- 0:33Speaker 1: and yet you got it today. I want you to
- 0:36Speaker 1: throw your hands up and say, walk me through it.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Father God, in the name of Jesus, let the word
- 0:42Speaker 1: be made flesh while it's being preached today. I thank
- 0:45Speaker 1: you for your power. I thank you for your grace.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I thank you for your knowingty. I thank you for
- 0:49Speaker 1: your consistency. I thank you for your patience. I thank
- 0:52Speaker 1: you for your love. I thank you for your grace.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I thank you for your hand of mercy over our lives.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I thank you, Lord for the things you're about to do.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I believe you from miracles. In the name of Jesus,
- 1:04Speaker 1: we pray somebody shot amen. You may be seated in
- 1:08Speaker 1: the presence of the Lord. There is a word. There
- 1:17Speaker 1: is a word. There a word. There is a word,
- 1:29Speaker 1: There is a word from the Lord. I'm wondering if
- 1:41Speaker 1: you've ever found yourself in this situation that you didn't
- 1:47Speaker 1: really belong in. This text is so opulent, it is
- 1:54Speaker 1: so exciting, it is so excessive, that it is easy
- 1:58Speaker 1: to get up caught up at what happened without examining
- 2:03Speaker 1: why it happened. That's the way much of life is today.
- 2:08Speaker 1: We deal with the what because of what is so
- 2:14Speaker 1: flamboyant and difficult and challenging and scary that very few
- 2:21Speaker 1: people have a tendency to ask why. We pray about
- 2:26Speaker 1: the what, we ignore the why. But part of the
- 2:31Speaker 1: ability to be able to navigate through something is to
- 2:35Speaker 1: understand not only what happened, but why. If you get
- 2:44Speaker 1: caught up in what happened without the why, you will
- 2:48Speaker 1: become emotional because you will think everything that happened is
- 2:56Speaker 1: your fault. I must have done. Who's saying the mother
- 3:02Speaker 1: or the father that the child should be going blind?
- 3:04Speaker 1: We're always looking for somebody to blame. The first thing
- 3:08Speaker 1: they start talking about in entirely calamity. Who are we
- 3:11Speaker 1: gonna blame? Did the fire department get there on time?
- 3:13Speaker 1: Did they send the mother did they Did they send
- 3:15Speaker 1: the signal? Did they do a hamber alert? Did they
- 3:17Speaker 1: do it? Because we always want somebody to blame for
- 3:21Speaker 1: what happened, But a lot of times, in order to
- 3:26Speaker 1: be able to think clearly and succinctly and intelligently so
- 3:31Speaker 1: that you can pray effectively, you have to get beyond
- 3:35Speaker 1: what is happening in your life to why is this
- 3:42Speaker 1: happening in my life? Why is this happening in my
- 3:45Speaker 1: life at this time, in this way, in this place,
- 3:48Speaker 1: so I know how to handle it. If I don't
- 3:50Speaker 1: know why it's happening, I don't even know how to pray.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I don't know whether to rebuke the devil, plead the blood,
- 3:58Speaker 1: bind the witches, come against Satan, or thanking God for
- 4:02Speaker 1: coming me worthy to go through a test or development.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I don't know whether to repent because I did something
- 4:09Speaker 1: wrong or accept it as a test that I have
- 4:11Speaker 1: to face, or is this a season in my life
- 4:14Speaker 1: I'm going through, going and myself sabotaging myself. And I
- 4:18Speaker 1: don't know whether whether I need a therapist or an exorcist.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I know I need a list, I don't know whether
- 4:27Speaker 1: it's a therapist or an Exorcist because I don't like
- 4:31Speaker 1: what is happening in my life. I don't like what's
- 4:34Speaker 1: going on in my life. I don't I don't like
- 4:37Speaker 1: being in trouble. I don't know anybody in the room
- 4:40Speaker 1: who likes being in trouble. When I was raising my kids,
- 4:46Speaker 1: I had a saying, I tell them, when we get home,
- 4:48Speaker 1: we're gonna dance. And I didn't mean the good money.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, and they knew right then they was in trouble.
- 4:57Speaker 1: My mother didn't have to say none of that. She
- 4:59Speaker 1: did look at you. She would look at you like
- 5:05Speaker 1: you was crazy. Your blood would stop moving through your body,
- 5:09Speaker 1: your heart would stop beating. They could not get a
- 5:11Speaker 1: pulse on you anywhere, because, without partying her lips, the
- 5:15Speaker 1: look announced to you, I see you, and I got you,
- 5:22Speaker 1: And if you don't stop right now, I'm gonna get
- 5:24Speaker 1: you right now. If you're lucky, you're gonna wait till
- 5:28Speaker 1: you get back home. But if you don't stop, you
- 5:30Speaker 1: gonna get it right now, and all of a sudden
- 5:32Speaker 1: you find yourself. I don't like the feeling of being
- 5:35Speaker 1: in trouble. My pulse quickens, my stress levels go up,
- 5:39Speaker 1: my body goes crazy. I have all this mental imagination
- 5:46Speaker 1: of what's going to happen. She's going to kill me,
- 5:49Speaker 1: She's going to absolutely kill me. Well, I had good
- 5:52Speaker 1: reason to think she was going to kill me. My
- 5:54Speaker 1: mother told me she could kill me and have another
- 5:56Speaker 1: one that looked just like me. And she said, she said,
- 5:59Speaker 1: they won't even know you gone. And I was about
- 6:02Speaker 1: four years old. I thought, can you do that? Can
- 6:06Speaker 1: you really just like replace some brother like that? You know?
- 6:10Speaker 1: And you go from that kind of trouble. You go
- 6:13Speaker 1: from that kind of trouble to adult trouble. The more
- 6:17Speaker 1: you just do the rent is due. The wife and
- 6:22Speaker 1: I are not getting along. I have a daughter that's
- 6:25Speaker 1: not speaking to me. I have a son who's upset
- 6:27Speaker 1: with me. That kind of trouble, and though you are
- 6:30Speaker 1: experiencing adult trouble, you experience it like a child. I'm
- 6:40Speaker 1: in trouble. I'm in trouble. You lay down at night,
- 6:45Speaker 1: Oh God, I'm in trouble. I'm in trouble. I'm getting
- 6:51Speaker 1: ready retired, got nothing retire of for I'm in trouble.
- 6:58Speaker 1: The doctor says, my quiet running high. I'm in trouble.
- 7:07Speaker 1: They found a knot over in the corner of my breast,
- 7:11Speaker 1: and the test hasn't come back yet. I may be fifty,
- 7:16Speaker 1: but I'm experiencing it as a five year old. I'm
- 7:21Speaker 1: in trouble. I can tell how everybody stops talking when
- 7:31Speaker 1: I come in the office. I'm in trouble. But a
- 7:47Speaker 1: lot of the things, most of the things that happened
- 7:50Speaker 1: in our lives, were actually just caught in the crossfire
- 7:55Speaker 1: of a bigger fight. Oh this is so good. You
- 8:02Speaker 1: might be the victim, you might be the pond, you
- 8:06Speaker 1: might be the recipient of the tragedy, but it is
- 8:11Speaker 1: generally about something bigger than you. It's bigger than you.
- 8:22Speaker 1: You hear people say, devil came in my room last
- 8:24Speaker 1: night and I had to wrestle with the devil all
- 8:27Speaker 1: night long. Come on, girl, you know the devil ain't
- 8:32Speaker 1: come into your room last night. You know, you not
- 8:34Speaker 1: that important that the devil would make house calls and
- 8:38Speaker 1: come to your house and spend the whole evening wrestling
- 8:42Speaker 1: with you in the room. The devil only showed up
- 8:45Speaker 1: a few times in all of the Bible. And you
- 8:47Speaker 1: mean the devil is over your house drinking a hot
- 8:50Speaker 1: latte and telling you what all you're gonna do? To you.
- 8:53Speaker 1: But come on, come on, come on, come on, come on,
- 8:56Speaker 1: we gotta get down in. But we're experiencing truma as
- 9:00Speaker 1: a five year old, and we don't know. We don't
- 9:03Speaker 1: know the why. We just know the what. We don't
- 9:07Speaker 1: understand where it's coming from. All we know is that
- 9:11Speaker 1: we're in trouble. And generally, once you conclude that you're
- 9:15Speaker 1: in trouble, you start looking for somebody to blame. And
- 9:20Speaker 1: there there are. There are three different classes of thought.
- 9:24Speaker 1: One group of people blame spiritual elements. It's always the devil.
- 9:28Speaker 1: The devil made me do it. My daughter says, says,
- 9:31Speaker 1: she's not here. I'm gonna tell us this morning why
- 9:33Speaker 1: she's not here. Maybe she's watching online. She broke my
- 9:36Speaker 1: tiger in my living room when she was nine years old.
- 9:41Speaker 1: She broke the tiger completely into It was a beautiful
- 9:44Speaker 1: tiger that we had behind the sofa, beautiful tager broke
- 9:47Speaker 1: it into. I don't know what she did to break
- 9:49Speaker 1: the tiger. I don't know whether she was jumping up
- 9:51Speaker 1: and down on it. I don't know whether she hit
- 9:53Speaker 1: cores with it. I don't know what happened to it,
- 9:56Speaker 1: but she broke When I confronted her. She said, the
- 10:03Speaker 1: devil made me do it. I thought, now I can't
- 10:10Speaker 1: even punish you because I'm trying not to laugh. Yeah,
- 10:14Speaker 1: just totally disarmed me, just ruin all of my daddy
- 10:18Speaker 1: fire with the devil made me do it. A lot
- 10:21Speaker 1: of people think the devil is the root of everything
- 10:25Speaker 1: that happened to you. We blamed the devil for everything,
- 10:28Speaker 1: even if we broke the tiger. We blamed the devil
- 10:32Speaker 1: because we are taught in this spiritual environment that everything
- 10:36Speaker 1: is spiritual, and we blame the devil. Other people blame
- 10:40Speaker 1: other people. They don't blame the devil. They blame other people.
- 10:45Speaker 1: My first husband was crazy, my second husband was crazy.
- 10:49Speaker 1: My third husband like, he didn't have no sense. My
- 10:52Speaker 1: fourth husband didn't appreciate a good woman when he had it.
- 10:55Speaker 1: My fifth husband like, he never complimented me on my hair. Now,
- 11:00Speaker 1: after about five you ought to start thinking, maybe it
- 11:05Speaker 1: ain't the man. It might be no, but y'all don't
- 11:10Speaker 1: do that. You know what y'all say, ain't no good
- 11:13Speaker 1: man left in the world. It never comes up an
- 11:16Speaker 1: issue that it might be you. It's just ain't no
- 11:18Speaker 1: good man left in the world. You dated five men
- 11:23Speaker 1: out of eight billion people on the planet, and you
- 11:27Speaker 1: have concluded that the rest of us are all crazy
- 11:30Speaker 1: because you had a bad experience and you have never
- 11:34Speaker 1: considered yourself. It's got to be her. She's crazy. That's
- 11:45Speaker 1: what the brothers say. That's what we say about y'all
- 11:47Speaker 1: when we break up. Man, she crazy crazy to catch
- 11:53Speaker 1: all phrase, you don't know what kind of crazy she is.
- 11:56Speaker 1: We don't do a complete diagnosis. But when one guy
- 11:59Speaker 1: tells you another guy's crazy, all the other guys look
- 12:02Speaker 1: at it gold. Okay, So you go down that road
- 12:07Speaker 1: and we blame other people. We blame other people. We
- 12:10Speaker 1: blame other people for being late. We blame other people
- 12:13Speaker 1: for not paying our bills. We blame other people. I
- 12:16Speaker 1: don't understand. This is one I don't understand. I don't
- 12:19Speaker 1: understand how you can borrow money from me, not pay
- 12:23Speaker 1: me back, and then blame me. Now you're mad at me.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Wait a minute, I'm the one broke, I'm the one
- 12:29Speaker 1: out of the money. I'm the one you didn't pay back,
- 12:31Speaker 1: and you rolling your eyes at me. We blame other
- 12:38Speaker 1: people for stuff we broke. The third group is we
- 12:46Speaker 1: blame ourselves for everything. Stuff we had no control over
- 12:51Speaker 1: things we couldn't fix. We beat ourselves up about everything.
- 12:59Speaker 1: We defend ourselves in front of the attacker, but when
- 13:02Speaker 1: we get home alone, we blame ourselves. I'm not enough,
- 13:07Speaker 1: imposter syndrome, I'm inadequate, I can't do it. Look at me,
- 13:12Speaker 1: I mess up everything. We go all the way back
- 13:14Speaker 1: to the first grade. That's why I flunk the first grade.
- 13:17Speaker 1: That's why I went through a test. That's why I
- 13:19Speaker 1: made an FMI report card. We go all the way back,
- 13:22Speaker 1: all the way read the whole resume to validate why
- 13:26Speaker 1: we are no good, and we start attacking our selves
- 13:33Speaker 1: in our texts. It is clear it does not lead
- 13:37Speaker 1: it to our imagination to conclude what category this is in.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Peter is definitely in trouble. Yeah he's gonna die in
- 13:46Speaker 1: the morning. Yeah that's right, He's gonna die in the morning.
- 13:50Speaker 1: But it is not the devil, it is not the
- 13:55Speaker 1: other disciples. And the worst part is it's not even Peter.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Peter has done nothing wrong. Why do bad things happen
- 14:10Speaker 1: to good people? And you find yourself in this situation
- 14:16Speaker 1: where not only are you trying to endure the problem,
- 14:19Speaker 1: you're perplexed because you don't understand the problem. I don't
- 14:23Speaker 1: understand why you don't like me, and you my child
- 14:29Speaker 1: and everything I ever did, what's for you? I don't
- 14:32Speaker 1: understand why you don't like me? And I'm your son?
- 14:38Speaker 1: How could you not like your child? And you go
- 14:42Speaker 1: through all of these these questions in your mind and
- 14:46Speaker 1: when you come to church, all we do is tell
- 14:48Speaker 1: you is give him a praise. But let me tell
- 14:53Speaker 1: you what praise won't do. Praise won't answer your questions.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Praise won't always resolve your issue. Praise won't take the
- 15:06Speaker 1: place of an apology. You dance all over the church,
- 15:10Speaker 1: but you still didn't apologize, and you don't have no peace.
- 15:13Speaker 1: And I don't care. How fancy you that You can
- 15:15Speaker 1: run around this church until you need a water bottle
- 15:18Speaker 1: that says butter House on it, and you still won't
- 15:21Speaker 1: solve the problem because praise won't fix what you need
- 15:28Speaker 1: to fix. I knew, wasn't nobody gonna shot give them
- 15:35Speaker 1: a be one shot. They need to shout. Let me
- 15:38Speaker 1: tell you something. You're trying to figure out what is
- 15:40Speaker 1: going on, and the church comes to you and just
- 15:43Speaker 1: tells you just praise the Lord. Hey, I got a
- 15:45Speaker 1: lump in my breast, and I'm going to give God
- 15:48Speaker 1: the praise. But when I got through dancing, I still
- 15:51Speaker 1: had a lump in my breast and it's growing. And
- 15:54Speaker 1: what do I do when I find myself in this
- 15:57Speaker 1: situation and I don't know who to blame, and I
- 16:00Speaker 1: don't know how to pray, and I don't know how
- 16:02Speaker 1: to respond to it, and I don't know how to
- 16:04Speaker 1: talk about it. I don't have language for it. I'm
- 16:08Speaker 1: going through it, and I'm going through something. Peter is
- 16:11Speaker 1: going through something that the other disciples could not relate to,
- 16:17Speaker 1: and he's going through it alone. Even if they could
- 16:20Speaker 1: relate to it, he can't talk to them. I want
- 16:22Speaker 1: to talk to some people who are going through some
- 16:25Speaker 1: stuff alone. You're going through some stuff alone, even though
- 16:34Speaker 1: other people are around. You're going through it alone, even
- 16:39Speaker 1: though other people have an opinion. You're going through it alone.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Even though other people may be talking about it, You're
- 16:45Speaker 1: going through it alone. Peter is going through this alone.
- 16:48Speaker 1: There's no James, there's no John in the room. There's
- 16:51Speaker 1: no people standing around him. Because misery kind of enjoys company.
- 16:55Speaker 1: If I got to go through it, let me go
- 16:57Speaker 1: through it with somebody, let me go through with somebody.
- 17:00Speaker 1: But most of the things that torment the soul we
- 17:04Speaker 1: go through alone. We go through alone. And single people
- 17:14Speaker 1: think they go through it alone because they're single. But
- 17:18Speaker 1: married people know that being married doesn't mean that you're
- 17:24Speaker 1: not going through it alone, that having somebody laying next
- 17:29Speaker 1: to you doesn't mean that they're going through it with you.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Thank you for the ten people that aren't hypocrites, the
- 17:46Speaker 1: ten people that can admit that you can lay next
- 17:48Speaker 1: to somebody and you can even spoon alone, because this
- 18:02Speaker 1: is a keen test for men. Lady, when you ask
- 18:05Speaker 1: him what he's thinking and he says nothing, it doesn't
- 18:11Speaker 1: mean that we're not thinking nothing. It's just means that
- 18:13Speaker 1: we figure we're going through this alone. Peter is going
- 18:18Speaker 1: through this alone. What did he do to go to jail?
- 18:26Speaker 1: Thank you, Luke. When you wrote the Book of Acts,
- 18:29Speaker 1: you do not leave me to guess about how Peter
- 18:32Speaker 1: got in jail. He got in the crossfire of herod,
- 18:39Speaker 1: a grip of the first ego. He got in the
- 18:44Speaker 1: crossfire of a political decision where the king decides to
- 18:53Speaker 1: attack the church member for strategic advantage to go up
- 19:01Speaker 1: higher in rank. Amongst the Jews. Backstory is King Herod
- 19:12Speaker 1: of Grippin was partly Jewish. He had been sent to
- 19:17Speaker 1: this outpost. He wanted to be their king, but the
- 19:21Speaker 1: Jews did not legitimize him as being authentically Jewish. So
- 19:26Speaker 1: he's trying to get some Jewish points. I don't know
- 19:31Speaker 1: if people verir points. Black people air points, but Jewish people,
- 19:34Speaker 1: I don't know if you don't got points. But he's
- 19:36Speaker 1: trying to get some points. And so he knows that
- 19:39Speaker 1: the Jews don't like the Christians, so he is hating
- 19:43Speaker 1: on who they are hating on to gain status so
- 19:48Speaker 1: that he'll have more power to get where he's trying
- 19:52Speaker 1: to go. He don't even know Peter. He doesn't even
- 19:55Speaker 1: care about Peter. He's not thinking about Peter. He don't
- 19:58Speaker 1: care about Christianity. He didn't care what they're trying to teach.
- 20:01Speaker 1: He doesn't really care about Orthodox student is. He cares
- 20:04Speaker 1: about his career. If you don't understand why you are
- 20:08Speaker 1: being attacked, you don't know how to respond to the attack.
- 20:12Speaker 1: If you don't understand that the bloggers get paid by
- 20:17Speaker 1: the hits they get, then you don't think they're talking
- 20:20Speaker 1: about you because you know they're talking about you, because
- 20:23Speaker 1: people know you, and people are going to argue about you.
- 20:26Speaker 1: And the more they click, the more you click, the
- 20:28Speaker 1: more they get paid. And you don't understand that talking
- 20:32Speaker 1: about people who has become a business. Some people don't
- 20:39Speaker 1: do nothing for a living except talk about people. I mean,
- 20:43Speaker 1: this is your full time jot, what do you do
- 20:45Speaker 1: for a living? Sor I talk about people. That's what
- 20:49Speaker 1: I do and it pays really good because if I
- 20:51Speaker 1: talk about big people, I get a lot of hits.
- 20:54Speaker 1: And if I get a lot of hits, then I
- 20:56Speaker 1: get paid a lot of money. And if I get
- 20:57Speaker 1: paid a lot of money, I don't need to walk
- 21:00Speaker 1: any other kind of job. All I need to do
- 21:02Speaker 1: is say something tenillating and Solaci's enough to get you
- 21:06Speaker 1: to click on it. And the more clicks I get,
- 21:08Speaker 1: guess what, the more techs I may. Thank you for clicking,
- 21:12Speaker 1: Thank you for arguing both sides of the issue. Thank
- 21:15Speaker 1: you for responding, because you're driving my algorithms up and
- 21:19Speaker 1: I am getting paid. So they pick you out, not
- 21:24Speaker 1: because you are Luther Vandros or whoever you are, James,
- 21:29Speaker 1: to whoever you are, No, no, no, no, they pick
- 21:32Speaker 1: you out because everybody knows you, and everybody's going to
- 21:34Speaker 1: click on it, and you got caught in the crossfire.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Peter had preted their Pentecosts. He was an influential Christian.
- 21:47Speaker 1: He had ignited the switch that provoked the outpouring of
- 21:51Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit down on the people that cost three
- 21:54Speaker 1: thousand souls to be added to the church that day.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Peter had influence. Peter had such influence that Harrod figured,
- 22:03Speaker 1: if I killed the first disciple and they like that,
- 22:06Speaker 1: if I get the ring leader, I will really be
- 22:09Speaker 1: on top. I'm gonna really be on top. See that's
- 22:12Speaker 1: why every neck gotta pay for every pray for every head.
- 22:16Speaker 1: You can't get into a fight between the neck and
- 22:19Speaker 1: the head and argue about position. You need to understand
- 22:22Speaker 1: heavy is the crown that rests upon the head. The
- 22:27Speaker 1: higher you go. But before you pray about going up,
- 22:30Speaker 1: realize the higher you go, you're gonna get caught in
- 22:33Speaker 1: fights that you didn't start. You don't even know the person,
- 22:37Speaker 1: you don't know what's going on. I called him friend
- 22:40Speaker 1: of mine one day, and I was reading an article
- 22:42Speaker 1: in the Chicago Sun and the guy was just giving
- 22:45Speaker 1: me the blues. I mean, it was an entire op head,
- 22:47Speaker 1: of which I was at least a third of the
- 22:49Speaker 1: op head, and I didn't even know who he was.
- 22:52Speaker 1: And I called him friend of mine. I said, who
- 22:53Speaker 1: is this guy? And he told me who? Will I know?
- 22:57Speaker 1: Now y'all will know who it is that y'all got
- 22:59Speaker 1: a quiet like we have Starbucks and I'm going to
- 23:01Speaker 1: tell you who it is. Come on, please now, I said,
- 23:05Speaker 1: who is this guy? And he told me who it was?
- 23:06Speaker 1: You know, I said, I never even met the guy
- 23:08Speaker 1: who said it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what you did
- 23:14Speaker 1: or didn't do when you're in the crossfires of somebody
- 23:19Speaker 1: else's ego. There's something about what I just said that
- 23:29Speaker 1: felt prophetic as it was coming out of me. It
- 23:34Speaker 1: felt prophetic, like somebody in this room is in a
- 23:37Speaker 1: situation right now, and you are bearing the brunt force
- 23:41Speaker 1: of other people's decisions that are affecting you, But they
- 23:45Speaker 1: are not because of you. They have their own agenda,
- 23:49Speaker 1: and you have to stop worrying about yourself and worrying
- 23:52Speaker 1: about your efficiency just because somebody is trying to get
- 23:56Speaker 1: in with the Jews so that he can set up
- 24:00Speaker 1: his kingdom. It has nothing to do with Peter's theology,
- 24:04Speaker 1: his preaching, his teaching, his gifting, his power, his favor,
- 24:09Speaker 1: his annoying thing. Yet Peter is in jail. It has
- 24:17Speaker 1: nothing to do with him, but he's in jail. It
- 24:21Speaker 1: was not even his fight, but he was in jail.
- 24:26Speaker 1: It was not even his problem, but he was in jail.
- 24:29Speaker 1: He has had no argument with Herod, but he is
- 24:32Speaker 1: in jail. He has not tacked off the city, but
- 24:36Speaker 1: he is in jail. Bad things do happen to good people.
- 24:50Speaker 1: God does not always order sunshine in the morning. God
- 24:54Speaker 1: does not always order blue skies, waves and sea go
- 25:02Speaker 1: flying over your window. That's not the way God works.
- 25:07Speaker 1: God will order trouble for your life and allow you
- 25:11Speaker 1: to get in trouble because God is a present help
- 25:15Speaker 1: in trouble. And if you want to be where God is,
- 25:19Speaker 1: God will let you get in trouble so He could
- 25:21Speaker 1: show himself strong in your situation. I don't know who
- 25:26Speaker 1: I'm preaching to. The God will put you in trouble
- 25:29Speaker 1: just so that he can show you how strong he is,
- 25:33Speaker 1: and that he is the King of kings and the
- 25:35Speaker 1: Lord of Lord. See Herod's the king, but Jesus is
- 25:40Speaker 1: the King of kings and the Lord of Lord. And
- 25:43Speaker 1: what you gotta understand is their countain doesn't have the
- 25:47Speaker 1: last say. The Lord doesn't have the last say. The
- 25:50Speaker 1: judge don't have the last say. The court don't have
- 25:53Speaker 1: the last say. God is going to have the last say.
- 25:56Speaker 1: It may take some time, it may take some task,
- 26:00Speaker 1: it may take some trial. But what God has for
- 26:03Speaker 1: you is for you. What I want you to see
- 26:08Speaker 1: in the first phrase of this text is that this
- 26:11Speaker 1: is a strategy of which he is being victimized by
- 26:16Speaker 1: systemic strategy that set him up. The Bible says that
- 26:21Speaker 1: we are not ignorant of the wilds of the devil.
- 26:23Speaker 1: The wounds of the devil is his strategy. That Satan
- 26:27Speaker 1: has a strategy that is tailor made for you. He
- 26:32Speaker 1: has a strategy he intended for him to be arrested.
- 26:36Speaker 1: And the Bible says that Herod thought in his mind,
- 26:38Speaker 1: if I kill him, it'll make me greater. Let me
- 26:42Speaker 1: tell you some Killing me don't make you keen. Killing
- 26:48Speaker 1: me doesn't make me keen, doesn't make you keen. But
- 26:51Speaker 1: this is a strategy that he has employed, and he
- 26:56Speaker 1: is bent and determined to make sure that Peter does
- 27:01Speaker 1: not get out. They might not know Peter, but he
- 27:04Speaker 1: must know something about Peter, because this is ear cutting Peter.
- 27:13Speaker 1: You know, you got your Thomas's and your John's and
- 27:15Speaker 1: your James, and then in every church you got a
- 27:18Speaker 1: few Peter's. They say they love the Lloyd, but if
- 27:23Speaker 1: you flip them out, it's a few of them in here.
- 27:26Speaker 1: I won't point them out to you, but it's it's
- 27:29Speaker 1: a few in here right now. They look real say
- 27:31Speaker 1: they nod and they clapping their hands. But down in
- 27:34Speaker 1: the bottom of that pocket book is a nine millimeter
- 27:43Speaker 1: I'm sorry, y'all, this is Texas gods and guns. Okay, yeah, yeah,
- 27:50Speaker 1: there are a lot of people in here right now.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, that that that that that that that that
- 27:56Speaker 1: that they're they're you know, they're they they You can't
- 28:02Speaker 1: tell it in church. Go into parking lot. That's when
- 28:06Speaker 1: you find out who's saved in church. The parking lot
- 28:09Speaker 1: will tell you the Christians, the saints from nangs, because
- 28:12Speaker 1: they all won't be saints in here. When they get
- 28:15Speaker 1: in that parking lot and you cut them off, you
- 28:18Speaker 1: won't find out how much Holy Gold say, really, God,
- 28:20Speaker 1: don't pay those tongues no attention. Just go into parking lot.
- 28:24Speaker 1: You won't find out who is who in the Kingdom
- 28:27Speaker 1: of God. Thank you Lord for telling me what the
- 28:44Speaker 1: king was thinking, because my first question whenever people do
- 28:50Speaker 1: anything crazy, who work for me or I work for
- 28:55Speaker 1: or I work with? My first question is who are
- 28:58Speaker 1: you thinking? Whatever comes after what were you thinking is
- 29:03Speaker 1: not going to be good, but it is sincere, I
- 29:07Speaker 1: want to know what you were thinking. The Bible tells
- 29:09Speaker 1: us what Herod was thinking, and it had nothing to
- 29:13Speaker 1: do with Peter. But he was gonna die in the morning.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Can you imagine dying over something that had nothing to
- 29:22Speaker 1: do with you. He's not dying for his witness for
- 29:27Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. He's not dying for the magnitude of his ministry.
- 29:30Speaker 1: He's not dying because he healed too many people and delivery.
- 29:34Speaker 1: He's dying because Herod is ambitious. Have you ever found
- 29:42Speaker 1: yourself on death row because of somebody else's ambition? I'm married, folks.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Let me talk to y'all. Have you ever found yourself
- 29:53Speaker 1: in trouble because somebody was after your spouse? I bet
- 30:01Speaker 1: you better holler back at me right now before I
- 30:03Speaker 1: point you out. And it is not that you burned
- 30:08Speaker 1: the toasts. Now that you don't come home at night.
- 30:11Speaker 1: It's not that you're not a good wife, is not
- 30:13Speaker 1: that you're not a good husband. But somebody's plotting on you,
- 30:16Speaker 1: and they got a strategy at work, and they're out
- 30:19Speaker 1: to discredit you. And you find yourself in a situation
- 30:23Speaker 1: where you know they've been talking to somebody. You don't
- 30:25Speaker 1: know who they've been talking to. But I've been married
- 30:28Speaker 1: to you twenty years and you ain't talking like this,
- 30:30Speaker 1: and here you come out to twenty years and now
- 30:32Speaker 1: you're talking strange. You've been talking to somebody. Come on,
- 30:38Speaker 1: come on, come on, come on, come on, come on,
- 30:42Speaker 1: come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.
- 30:47Speaker 1: And Peter is thrust in jail and listen, he gets
- 30:52Speaker 1: sixteen soldiers divides him into four quadrants. This is respect,
- 31:03Speaker 1: This is respect. The level of attack determines the level
- 31:08Speaker 1: of respect. If King Harrod didn't know that Peter was
- 31:13Speaker 1: somebody to deal with, he would have put one man
- 31:16Speaker 1: on him to guard him, and that would have been adequate.
- 31:20Speaker 1: But he quadrupled the necessity of putting enough guards on him,
- 31:25Speaker 1: because Harrod knows that if he gives Peter half a
- 31:28Speaker 1: chance to get up Peter will pull out his sword
- 31:31Speaker 1: and go to cutting off ears and setting people free
- 31:35Speaker 1: and breaking your And that same devil knows that about you,
- 31:40Speaker 1: that if he gives you half a chance to get
- 31:43Speaker 1: up on your feet, that all hell is gonna break
- 31:46Speaker 1: loose in that place. Holleynujah. And if y'all know hear
- 31:50Speaker 1: what I'm saying, he knows that you got power. He
- 31:55Speaker 1: knows that you got power, and he's attacking you because
- 31:59Speaker 1: you got power. How five somebodyself got power. I know
- 32:05Speaker 1: I got power because I got problems. If you got power,
- 32:10Speaker 1: you're gonna have problems. The problems are a sign that
- 32:15Speaker 1: you got power. Nobody sends that level of problems. If
- 32:19Speaker 1: you don't have any power. You don't get sixteen soldiers
- 32:23Speaker 1: to guard a three year old. You get sixteen soldiers
- 32:27Speaker 1: to guard one man. When that one man is bad
- 32:30Speaker 1: and he's got power, Somebody in here shout because you
- 32:34Speaker 1: got power. You're under attack because you got power. You're
- 32:43Speaker 1: being besieged by the enemy. Because you got power. He's
- 32:47Speaker 1: put unnecessary guards. But if it ain't this is that.
- 32:51Speaker 1: If it ain't that is the other. Soon as you
- 32:54Speaker 1: get through that, here comes something else, and it's all
- 32:57Speaker 1: because Hell is nervous about you. Hell is nervous about
- 33:01Speaker 1: what you're going to be. Hell is nervous about what
- 33:04Speaker 1: you're going to do. And he's increased the guards to
- 33:08Speaker 1: block you from getting where you're trying to go. Do
- 33:10Speaker 1: you hear what I'm saying, but throw your hands up
- 33:13Speaker 1: and say, walk me through it. Walk me through it,
- 33:23Speaker 1: Walk me through it, Walk me through it, because I
- 33:29Speaker 1: will not die today. Cool points to Peter. He's got
- 33:43Speaker 1: sixteen soldiers. He's handcuffed to two of them. He's handcuffed
- 34:00Speaker 1: to two Roman soldiers. This is the greatest expression of
- 34:19Speaker 1: faith I've ever heard. Silent faith screams. Silent faith screams,
- 34:30Speaker 1: faith that will not become discombobulated just because you're under attack.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Is faith that it's best Running all over the office,
- 34:40Speaker 1: annoying the elevator with oil might not be faith that
- 34:44Speaker 1: is best. Faith at is best is peace in the
- 34:47Speaker 1: midst of the storm. Faith that is best is peace
- 34:53Speaker 1: in the middle of the storm. And I thought to myself, Peter,
- 34:56Speaker 1: how did you sleep in prison on the night before
- 35:00Speaker 1: You're going to be killed? And Simon has just been beheaded. Now,
- 35:04Speaker 1: if you're gonna kill me, you know give me talk
- 35:07Speaker 1: about CBS and pick up something. You know, I'm not
- 35:10Speaker 1: for this dramatic stuff. I like my head. You might
- 35:13Speaker 1: not like my head. I know it ain't fine, but
- 35:15Speaker 1: it's my head. I want my head. Don't cut my
- 35:18Speaker 1: head off. Cutting my head off would probably mess up
- 35:21Speaker 1: my neck. If I thought you was gonna cut my
- 35:26Speaker 1: head off in the morning, I probably wouldn't sleep that night, Peter.
- 35:37Speaker 1: And so I asked Pete.
- 35:38Speaker 2: I said, Peter, how in the world did you go
- 35:42Speaker 2: to sleep chain to two guards in the inner sanctum
- 35:48Speaker 2: of the prison that even if you whip them, you
- 35:51Speaker 2: got fourteen.
- 35:52Speaker 1: More to go before you get out, and you sleep? Dude,
- 35:56Speaker 1: where did you learn how to sleep like this? And
- 36:00Speaker 1: then I remember how Jesus will sleep on the boat. Y'all,
- 36:07Speaker 1: don't hear what I'm saying to you. And the thing
- 36:10Speaker 1: that Peter has learned from his mentor is to sleep
- 36:15Speaker 1: in the middle of a storm. If you can keep
- 36:17Speaker 1: your peace when all hell is breaking loose, if you
- 36:21Speaker 1: can refuse to react in a predictable way when all
- 36:25Speaker 1: hell is breaking loose, God will find a way to
- 36:28Speaker 1: bless you. And sometimes the best response to the attack
- 36:33Speaker 1: is the sleep. Says, I don't know what he's gonna do,
- 36:41Speaker 1: but he's gonna do something. The Sleep says, I don't
- 36:44Speaker 1: know how he's gonna move, but he's gonna move something.
- 36:47Speaker 1: The Sleep says, I don't have the answer to the problem,
- 36:50Speaker 1: but I know who does have the answer to the problem.
- 36:53Speaker 1: The Sleep says, the battle is not mine. It belongs
- 36:56Speaker 1: to the Lord. The Sleep says, stand still and see
- 37:00Speaker 1: the salvation of the Lord. The Sleep says, the enemies
- 37:04Speaker 1: that you see today, you shall see them no more.
- 37:08Speaker 1: The Sleep says, when the battle is over, I'm gonna
- 37:12Speaker 1: shout the victory, and I'm gonna need some rest to
- 37:15Speaker 1: get my dance on.
- 37:22Speaker 3: SUTs.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Three people say, sleep through it. Yeah, sleep to it.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Sleep through it. Don't argue about it, don't fuss about it,
- 37:29Speaker 1: don't fight about it, don't get mad about it, don't
- 37:32Speaker 1: get upset, don't cuss nobody out about it. Just sleep
- 37:35Speaker 1: through it. He that hath begun a good work, and
- 37:38Speaker 1: you shall perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
- 37:41Speaker 1: I don't know who I'm preaching to in this building,
- 37:44Speaker 1: but God says, sleep through it. Don't get even, don't
- 37:48Speaker 1: get revenge, don't retaliate. Just go to bed, because God
- 37:53Speaker 1: has determined your end from your beginning, and when it's
- 37:58Speaker 1: all over, He's gonna give you a breakthrough. I need
- 38:00Speaker 1: a thirty second phase break. I'm getting my peace facts.
- 38:17Speaker 1: I'm getting my peace facts. I'm getting my confidence by it,
- 38:21Speaker 1: I'm getting my trust back. I'm learning how to just
- 38:24Speaker 1: go to bed and leave it in God's hands. I'm
- 38:27Speaker 1: leaving my children in God's hands. I'm leaving my wife
- 38:31Speaker 1: in God's hands. I'm leaving my marriage in God's hands.
- 38:34Speaker 1: I'm leaving my future in God's hand. For the Lord
- 38:37Speaker 1: knows the way that I take, and when he has
- 38:40Speaker 1: tried me, I shall come forth as to a goal.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Somebody give me an old fashion. How they Nujah.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Pentecostals and why.
- 39:14Speaker 1: He was sleeping? You know, God does his best stuff
- 39:18Speaker 1: while you sleep. When God got ready to bring Eve
- 39:22Speaker 1: into the world, he put out him to sleep, because
- 39:25Speaker 1: God doesn't need your participation in order to bless you.
- 39:30Speaker 1: When God gets ready to give you what you need,
- 39:32Speaker 1: you can be sleep, and he can still pull out
- 39:34Speaker 1: of you what he placed inside of you and costs
- 39:38Speaker 1: you to prosper. And Abraham, he said, Abraham through thy
- 39:42Speaker 1: seed shall all nations of the earth be blessed. Go
- 39:45Speaker 1: to sleep, and I'm gonna make a covenant for you
- 39:48Speaker 1: without you. And Jesus hung his head in the locks
- 39:52Speaker 1: of his shoulders and died till the sun refused to shine,
- 39:56Speaker 1: and the ground began to tremble, and God was working
- 40:01Speaker 1: the night shifts. Can't somebody say he's pulling stuff out
- 40:20Speaker 1: of me in my sleep. He's working it out for
- 40:25Speaker 1: me in my sleep. He's moving obstacles in my sleep.
- 40:29Speaker 1: He's turning it around in my sleep. He's making away
- 40:33Speaker 1: in my sleep. He's providing in my sleep. I don't
- 40:36Speaker 1: have to do nothing. I don't have to say nothing.
- 40:39Speaker 1: I don't have to plant no gossip. I don't have
- 40:42Speaker 1: to retaliate. I don't have to steam and plot. You
- 40:46Speaker 1: stay up, I'm going to bed. I'm covered, I'm protected,
- 40:51Speaker 1: I'm loved, I'm cradled, I'm taking care of I've got
- 40:55Speaker 1: the blood of Jesus over my life. Hollylujah. I'm blessed
- 41:00Speaker 1: in the city. I'm blessed in the field. I'm blessed
- 41:03Speaker 1: in my uprising. I'm blessed in my down setting. I
- 41:06Speaker 1: don't know who I'm talking to, but God said, you've
- 41:09Speaker 1: been up too many nights and it's time for you
- 41:12Speaker 1: to just go to bed and rest in the Lord
- 41:15Speaker 1: that he that had began of good work. Then you
- 41:19Speaker 1: shall perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Who
- 41:22Speaker 1: am I talking to in here? Sit down, I'm just
- 41:34Speaker 1: talking to you. He slept like a baby, draw a
- 41:48Speaker 1: line between sleep and suddenly sleep and suddenly sleep, and
- 42:00Speaker 1: suddenly suddenly there appeared and the angel in the room.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Peter didn't do anything to call him. In fact, I
- 42:13Speaker 1: was trying to find the hero in this text, and
- 42:16Speaker 1: I'm kind of confused because I wanted to preach it
- 42:20Speaker 1: was Peter's faith, but Peter didn't even believe it was real.
- 42:27Speaker 1: And then I wanted to give the intercessors all the credit,
- 42:31Speaker 1: but they was praying for an answer. When the answer came,
- 42:33Speaker 1: they wouldn't even open up the door. And when Rhoda
- 42:38Speaker 1: told him that God had answered to prayer to people
- 42:40Speaker 1: who was praying, didn't believe it. So where is my Yeah,
- 42:48Speaker 1: now that's way back. Where is my hero of faith?
- 42:53Speaker 1: In the text? Where's my hero of faith? Peter doesn't
- 43:00Speaker 1: believe it, the inner sisters don't believe it, and still
- 43:07Speaker 1: there was a suddenly, Wait a minute, Maybe if Peter
- 43:16Speaker 1: didn't do anything to get himself in, maybe he doesn't
- 43:30Speaker 1: have to do anything to get himself out. Maybe if
- 43:39Speaker 1: God sees fit to get you in trouble, God will
- 43:48Speaker 1: get you out of trouble. And maybe you ought to
- 43:52Speaker 1: stop sitting up at night thinking what should I do?
- 43:55Speaker 1: What should I do? What should I do about it?
- 43:57Speaker 1: Who should I call? Where should I go? What should
- 43:58Speaker 1: I do? What's to do? Maybe you shouldn't do nothing
- 44:01Speaker 1: because you didn't get yourself in it, and maybe you
- 44:03Speaker 1: don't have to do anything to get yourself out. And
- 44:05Speaker 1: maybe the best response is Jesus. Sleep. Suddenly, sleep is
- 44:24Speaker 1: the method of Jesus. Only Jesus sleeps through tornadoes, hurricane,
- 44:32Speaker 1: stuff flying all through the air, boat about to go
- 44:34Speaker 1: under water, ship being filled with water, feet wet Jesus.
- 44:42Speaker 1: It matters who mentored you, Yeah, I ain't gonna finish.
- 44:48Speaker 1: I ain't gonna finish. If your mama was hysterical or
- 44:52Speaker 1: your daddy was hysterical. When you get in trouble, you
- 44:55Speaker 1: become hysterical because they taught you how to respond to stress.
- 45:00Speaker 1: As a little kid, you watch them react to trouble,
- 45:03Speaker 1: and you learn this is how you react to trouble.
- 45:06Speaker 1: If Mama cussed everybody out when she got in trouble,
- 45:08Speaker 1: then when you get mad, you cuss everybody out. If
- 45:11Speaker 1: she never said anything, you don't say anything. Depending on
- 45:14Speaker 1: whoever your mentor was, may not even be your mother,
- 45:17Speaker 1: may be your father, may be your auntie, whoever had
- 45:20Speaker 1: the deepest impression in your life, they taught you how
- 45:22Speaker 1: to react. Jesus taught Peter how to sleep. Jesus taught
- 45:32Speaker 1: Peter how to sleep. Lord, teach me how to sleep.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Teach me how to just stop my wheels from turning
- 45:43Speaker 1: and my brain from spinning, and me trying to figure
- 45:46Speaker 1: my way out, and me worshiping the idol of my
- 45:49Speaker 1: own intellect, as if I had to be smart to
- 45:52Speaker 1: be delivered. So then my intellect becomes my idolatry because
- 46:01Speaker 1: I think I gotta figure my way out of everything.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Teach me how to sleep, because if I can get
- 46:14Speaker 1: to sleep right, then you can get the suddenly right sleep,
- 46:21Speaker 1: suddenly sleep. Suddenly you're watching online. You've been all worried,
- 46:27Speaker 1: all upset and walking the floor, can't sleep, can't figure
- 46:30Speaker 1: out what's wrong with you, trying to figure everything. Can't
- 46:33Speaker 1: cut your brain off. Go to bed. Go to bed.
- 46:39Speaker 1: If you didn't do anything to get yourself in and
- 46:41Speaker 1: you don't have anything to repent about, and you don't
- 46:44Speaker 1: have anything to apologize about, and you were just doing
- 46:46Speaker 1: what God created you to do, and somebody threw you
- 46:49Speaker 1: in jail. Get into jail and fluff up under your
- 46:52Speaker 1: shoulder and go to bed. Because he's Alpha, had amiga
- 46:58Speaker 1: at the beginning and the end, the first and the last,
- 47:01Speaker 1: and if he got you in it, he will get
- 47:03Speaker 1: you out of it. And because all things work together
- 47:06Speaker 1: for the good of them that love the Lord, who
- 47:08Speaker 1: are the call according to his purpose. There's somebody say
- 47:11Speaker 1: I'm going to bed tonight. That's what I'm gonna do.
- 47:14Speaker 1: In fact, I might not even wait tonight. I might
- 47:17Speaker 1: take a three o'clock now, I might just go home
- 47:20Speaker 1: and get me a piece of chicken and climb into
- 47:23Speaker 1: bed and go to sleep and sleep till about five
- 47:26Speaker 1: or six o'clock, and then get up and practice it again.
- 47:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna rest in the Lord. I'm gonna rest in
- 47:32Speaker 1: the Lord. I'm gonna rest in the Lord in spite
- 47:35Speaker 1: of my handcuffs, in spite of my budget, in spite
- 47:39Speaker 1: of my limitations, in spite of my finances, in spite
- 47:43Speaker 1: of my dilimma, in spite of my child who's cussing
- 47:46Speaker 1: me out, in spite of my husband who left me.
- 47:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna rest. These ain't nothing but handcuffs. These ain't
- 47:52Speaker 1: nothing but handcuffs. They don't stop me from sleeping. They
- 47:55Speaker 1: tied up my hands, whether they didn't tie up my peach.
- 47:58Speaker 1: I'm going to bed. Hand cuffs it all. I'm not
- 48:01Speaker 1: gonna stay up all night twisting my wrists, trying to
- 48:04Speaker 1: figure out the combination, trying to steal a key. I'm
- 48:08Speaker 1: going to bed. Angel appeared suddenly. God is a suddenly God.
- 48:24Speaker 1: He will show up suddenly and see this contradict's faith
- 48:28Speaker 1: because you want to see him coming. You want him
- 48:30Speaker 1: to tell you what he's gonna do and how he's
- 48:32Speaker 1: gonna do it. And I'm gonna send an angel, and
- 48:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna send it at ten thirty five, and I
- 48:37Speaker 1: want you to be dressed and ready, and at ten
- 48:40Speaker 1: thirty five, we're gonna blow this joint and we're gonna
- 48:42Speaker 1: get out of here, and we're gonna have to step
- 48:44Speaker 1: over all these sleepy people. But if you wear your
- 48:46Speaker 1: tennis shoes, you're gonna be ready for it. So don't
- 48:49Speaker 1: wear your church shoes. Wear your tennis shoes so you
- 48:51Speaker 1: can be comfortable. And then we're gonna crawl out. We're
- 48:53Speaker 1: gonna go through the window because the door is closed.
- 48:55Speaker 1: And when we go through the window, I want to
- 48:57Speaker 1: measure you to make sure you don't get stuck in
- 48:59Speaker 1: the window. And once you get through the window, I'm
- 49:01Speaker 1: gonna pull you out of it. You want God to
- 49:04Speaker 1: explain God's stuff to human ears. God never explains how
- 49:12Speaker 1: he's gonna do it. He just does it. He just
- 49:16Speaker 1: shows up. He just appears. He just loves, He just
- 49:21Speaker 1: works it out.
- 49:22Speaker 4: Suddenly, somebody south suddenly let the devil hear you say, suddenly,
- 49:32Speaker 4: my god. Suddenly an angel appeared. The angel didn't come in,
- 49:42Speaker 4: It just appeared. It just showed up.
- 49:46Speaker 1: The angel didn't walk in and disturb all the guards
- 49:49Speaker 1: and tell all the guards I'm coming. You think you
- 49:51Speaker 1: got Peter, but I'm gonna show you something today. I'm
- 49:53Speaker 1: gonna wear you behind out today. You think you bad,
- 49:56Speaker 1: pull your sword, bring your shit with No. The did
- 50:00Speaker 1: not create unnecessary disturbance. He disappeared.
- 50:10Speaker 5: He just shrunk, It just moved suddenly, and then angel appeared.
- 50:29Speaker 1: For every prison you're in, there's an angel for every
- 50:38Speaker 1: prison emotionally, mentally, physically, attitudeally, intellectually, for every prison you're in,
- 50:46Speaker 1: there's an angel. Just one. That's all you need. One.
- 50:56Speaker 1: The whole sitting camp against me. My heart's all off fear.
- 50:59Speaker 1: The war ship rides against me, and this will I
- 51:01Speaker 1: be confident? One thing? I just need one. Angel appeared
- 51:07Speaker 1: in the room, shook Peter, woke him up and told
- 51:14Speaker 1: Peter hurry up. Now. He wouldn't have had to tell
- 51:19Speaker 1: me that. I don't have no revelation for that. If
- 51:23Speaker 1: you're waiting on me to give a profound point, I
- 51:26Speaker 1: don't have a profound point for that. Because if I
- 51:29Speaker 1: was about to be beheaded in the morning, God would
- 51:32Speaker 1: not have to tell me to hurry up. I would
- 51:35Speaker 1: have been the angel getting out of there. I would
- 51:37Speaker 1: have been talking about come on, food, we got to go,
- 51:39Speaker 1: We got we ain't got time for this fool and
- 51:42Speaker 1: we got to go. We got to go. The angel
- 51:45Speaker 1: tells Peter is so calm that the angel has to
- 51:50Speaker 1: tell Peter to hurry up about his problem, about his
- 51:59Speaker 1: problem hurry up, put your clothes on, put your shoes on.
- 52:08Speaker 1: What's this? I'm going to walk you through it. This
- 52:17Speaker 1: is the word of the Lord to you. Hurry up,
- 52:23Speaker 1: put your clothes on. Yeah, put your shoes on. Follow me. Yeah,
- 52:30Speaker 1: I'm going to walk you through it. I swear I
- 52:36Speaker 1: don't have your address. I haven't been living in your
- 52:37Speaker 1: house now. I'm not laying up under your bed. But
- 52:40Speaker 1: somebody's been praying I don't know how to get out
- 52:42Speaker 1: of this, and God is saying, I'm going to walk you.
- 52:55Speaker 1: I know you don't have wings, so I'm not going
- 52:59Speaker 1: to operate on a level and a dimension that you
- 53:03Speaker 1: can't operate in. I could fly I appeared in, but
- 53:09Speaker 1: since you're a walker, I'm gonna walk. Wait. Lord, we
- 53:21Speaker 1: got to go through four quadrons of soldiers. I'm gonna
- 53:26Speaker 1: walk you through every one of them. And I would
- 53:33Speaker 1: have thought that they were all sleep except the text
- 53:36Speaker 1: says that at least one of them's eyes was wide open.
- 53:40Speaker 1: But do you know people can be looking at you
- 53:42Speaker 1: and not see you. You can be moving up and
- 53:50Speaker 1: the people in your office don't know it. You can
- 53:53Speaker 1: be getting looser and the people in your house don't
- 53:55Speaker 1: know it. God can move in such a way that
- 53:58Speaker 1: he could make you invisible to people who think they're
- 54:00Speaker 1: watching you. They got surveillance of you, but they can't
- 54:03Speaker 1: trap you because God is bringing you out. Who am
- 54:06Speaker 1: I preaching to? This is going to be so slick
- 54:10Speaker 1: that they walk through the guards and God walked them
- 54:15Speaker 1: through it. I don't know who this is for. I
- 54:18Speaker 1: don't know why I'm preaching this today. I really don't know.
- 54:22Speaker 1: I'm just as dumb as a male man who cannot
- 54:26Speaker 1: read the letter. I'm just delivering the letter. The letter
- 54:29Speaker 1: says God is going to walk you through it. I
- 54:32Speaker 1: don't know what it is. You have to determine what
- 54:36Speaker 1: it is. But whatever it is, God says, I am
- 54:40Speaker 1: going to walk you through it. You don't have to
- 54:42Speaker 1: see your way clear, you don't have to know how
- 54:45Speaker 1: to get out of this. You don't have to figure
- 54:47Speaker 1: out anything. God says, If you just follow me, I'm
- 54:51Speaker 1: going to walk you through it. I don't know who that.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Who is that for? Who is that for? Who is
- 55:00Speaker 1: that for? Then? I want you to make it yours.
- 55:05Speaker 1: I want you to touch somebody and tell them God's
- 55:07Speaker 1: gonna walk me through it. God's gonna walk me through
- 55:11Speaker 1: this season of my life. God's gonna walk me through
- 55:15Speaker 1: this season of my life. God's gonna walk me through
- 55:18Speaker 1: this season of my life. God's gonna walk me through
- 55:21Speaker 1: the pain of this present danger. God's gonna walk me
- 55:25Speaker 1: through this political toxic environment I'm in. God's gonna walk
- 55:29Speaker 1: me through my enemies and my judases, and my betrayers
- 55:33Speaker 1: and my naysayers. God said, He's gonna walk me through it.
- 55:36Speaker 1: It's gonna be a process. But little by little, every
- 55:40Speaker 1: step I take, He's gonna take me a little bit further.
- 55:42Speaker 1: God is going to walk me through it. Listen as
- 55:46Speaker 1: I prepare to close, not because I'm finished, because the
- 55:49Speaker 1: text ain't finished. But I'm gonna stop right here. If
- 55:54Speaker 1: God walks you through it, no weapons formed against you,
- 56:14Speaker 1: She'll be able to prosper. Now, sit with me and
- 56:18Speaker 1: stand with me a minute and think on this. How
- 56:22Speaker 1: many times in your life did God walk you through
- 56:26Speaker 1: stuff that you thought you couldn't get through. He didn't
- 56:32Speaker 1: he do it before? Didn't he walk you through things
- 56:37Speaker 1: that you thought were going to kill you. Didn't he
- 56:39Speaker 1: walk you through some dangerous moments that could have destroyed
- 56:43Speaker 1: you physically, emotionally, financially, mentally, didn't he walk you through it?
- 56:49Speaker 1: You lost your house, he walked you through it. You
- 56:50Speaker 1: lost your spouse, he walked you through it. You lost
- 56:53Speaker 1: your parents, he walked you through it. You went through
- 56:55Speaker 1: pain you didn't think you could take, but God walked
- 56:58Speaker 1: you through it. The word of the lad to you
- 57:00Speaker 1: today is I'm going to walk you through it. The
- 57:10Speaker 1: weirdest thing about the text, as I hastened to close,
- 57:16Speaker 1: is that the angel didn't leave him till he was safe.
- 57:30Speaker 1: When they were free as a bird, the angel went
- 57:34Speaker 1: on his way. One other thing I'll point out. I
- 57:37Speaker 1: got twenty, but I'll point out one more. Every obstacle
- 57:45Speaker 1: on the way out open automatically. The chains fell automatically,
- 57:54Speaker 1: They walked through the guards automatically. They got to the gate,
- 57:58Speaker 1: and the gate just opened. Everything opened until they got
- 58:05Speaker 1: to the believers. When they got to the believers, Peter
- 58:15Speaker 1: is knocking at the door. Why in God's name would
- 58:20Speaker 1: you be knocking now when every other door opened in
- 58:27Speaker 1: front of you? Because faith without works is dead being alone.
- 58:36Speaker 1: So God says, I'm going to open every other door,
- 58:41Speaker 1: but the last door is on you. Now hear this good?
- 58:45Speaker 1: The last door is on you. The last door is
- 58:48Speaker 1: on you because many, many people will not open the
- 58:53Speaker 1: door to better. They have been raised in trauma and
- 59:06Speaker 1: pain and sin and degradation, and they'll knock at it,
- 59:15Speaker 1: but they won't open the door to better. They know
- 59:18Speaker 1: what to do. I was talking to a girl about
- 59:22Speaker 1: eating healthy. I said, I know all that stuff, yeah,
- 59:26Speaker 1: but it don't work because you know it, sry, you
- 59:31Speaker 1: have to do it. Don't eat process foods, and I
- 59:34Speaker 1: don't want you to eat every three ounces of meeting
- 59:36Speaker 1: day and lean meeting all the time. I said, I
- 59:38Speaker 1: know all of that, you know all of that extra helping,
- 59:42Speaker 1: the vegetables and fruit and all that. I know, I
- 59:45Speaker 1: know it, But until I do it, it doesn't work. So
- 59:56Speaker 1: God says, I'm not gonna open every door. Because here's
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: the test of your faith today. Will you open the
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: door to the best version of yourself? Will? Will? Will
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: you open this is a simple thing. It doesn't seem
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: like it ought to be hurt? But would you open
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: the door to happy? After a lot of losses and
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: a lot of pain, has sorrow become your address and
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: you knocking on it because you like the idea of
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: happiness and peace and joy and contentment. But the last
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: challenge the Holy Spirit gave me is you have the
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: last door is on you, and you have people in
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: their praying for Peter to come. Rota goes to the door,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: recognizes Peter's voice won't open the door on what they
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: prayed for. How many times do we pray for things
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: and then when it comes, we're scared of what we
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: prayed for. Let me break this down, let me no, no,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: don't clip, don't clop, let me break this out. I'm
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: believing God for a companion. I'm praying. I fasted. I
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: fasted three times, three weeks, from three cigarettes. You know,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: y'all got some fast we never heard of in our day.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: I'm fasten from bubble gum. I'm fastom from Instagram. When
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: I came up in church, we didn't fast from Instagram.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: We fasted from foods. You've been on a forty day fast,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: you look like it. I was in Africa and they
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: said this man's been faster for forty days. I thought, oh,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I don't believe it. I saw him. I say, oh
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: my god, he's been faster for forty days. Brother came
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: in there. He looked like a skeleton in a doctor's office.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: And then when somebody comes, you all been the door,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: You prayed for a job, and then when it comes
