- 0:00Speaker 1: Three days you need to know.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Top of the Morning.
- 0:03Speaker 3: So it's just after six o'clock on this Tuesday morning.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Ricky Santez is still out today. But we've got our
- 0:08Speaker 3: friend Kevin Manna with three things he needs to.
- 0:10Speaker 4: Now and Top of the Morning to you, Zach Hi
- 0:12Speaker 4: I Captain. Good to see Thanksgiving week, Let's go. The
- 0:15Speaker 4: twenty twenty four Billboard Music Award nominations just came out,
- 0:19Speaker 4: and if you can believe it, Taylor Swift has a
- 0:21Speaker 4: bunch of them. She's got sixteen nominations this year. The
- 0:24Speaker 4: only artist ahead of her is Zach Bryan, despite the
- 0:27Speaker 4: drama surrounding him at the moment, He's got eighteen nominations.
- 0:31Speaker 4: Morgan Wallen has fifteen, and Sabrina Carpenter has nine. The
- 0:34Speaker 4: show will air live on Fox and Amazon's Fire TV
- 0:37Speaker 4: channels on Thursday, December twelve. Another music news, Lana del
- 0:40Speaker 4: Ray just announced a new album. It is coming. It's
- 0:43Speaker 4: called The Right Person Will Stay. It's kind of a
- 0:46Speaker 4: shorter album title for Lana. She got married this year,
- 0:48Speaker 4: he's going through some personal changes and now she's channeling
- 0:51Speaker 4: that through music. Thirteen new songs on this album coming
- 0:54Speaker 4: in May, and it sounds like a stadium tour is
- 0:56Speaker 4: planned for the summer. And according to YOU News and
- 1:01Speaker 4: World Report, Nashville is a decent place to live. They
- 1:05Speaker 4: just put out their annual Best places to Live in
- 1:07Speaker 4: the US list, And what number do you think they
- 1:09Speaker 4: put us at, Zach.
- 1:10Speaker 3: If it's decent, I would say like twenty five, twenty six,
- 1:13Speaker 3: Like right, smack Dave in the middle.
- 1:14Speaker 4: We were fifty fiftieth. I mean that's you know, thanks
- 1:18Speaker 4: for putting us on the list, but fifty, come on.
- 1:20Speaker 4: Then The top five cities on their list were Charlotte,
- 1:23Speaker 4: North Carolina, Greenville, South Carolina, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Boise, Idaho,
- 1:28Speaker 4: and Naples, Florida. Those are the top five.
- 1:29Speaker 3: So a bunch of smaller cities. Yeah, that makes sense,
- 1:32Speaker 3: and I know it's.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Expensive here, but they did credit Nashville for its innovation,
- 1:37Speaker 4: blossoming job market, exploding entertainment scene, and great morning radio.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yeah, they definitely put that one in there, that.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Last one myself, but I do feel like we should
- 1:47Speaker 4: be higher than fifty. Come on, US News and World.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Report, Ricky Zach and Mennow in the morning.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Taylor Swift, it's one oh seven five The River Ricky,
- 1:58Speaker 4: Zach and Manno in the morning. No, Ricky, she's out
- 2:00Speaker 4: this week Thanksgiving week. But I'm here with Zach and
- 2:03Speaker 4: we're saying good morning to Laurie and Manchester. Laurie, what
- 2:05Speaker 4: are you doing this morning?
- 2:07Speaker 2: I'm driving to work. Laurie.
- 2:08Speaker 3: You sound like you're very perky this morning. So who
- 2:11Speaker 3: is blessed with your presence? When you get to work?
- 2:14Speaker 4: The United States Postal Service? Oh, typically not the happiest
- 2:19Speaker 4: bunch over there, but you got some clip in.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Your step as coffee.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Do you work in the actual post office or are
- 2:26Speaker 3: you out like delivering mail?
- 2:28Speaker 2: I'm actually a deliverer. Oh my god, do you bring
- 2:30Speaker 2: dog treats with you?
- 2:32Speaker 5: I'm not supposed to, but.
- 2:35Speaker 2: We want to tell your boss and my guy does.
- 2:37Speaker 4: The guy in our neighborhood always has some and he
- 2:38Speaker 4: loves dogs.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Yes, I love all my route doggies.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Yeah, that's great. I always said, I know, you know,
- 2:45Speaker 4: the Postal Service is a stressful place to work, but
- 2:48Speaker 4: I think I talked about it with Zach and Rickey
- 2:50Speaker 4: in here before. That would be like, in a perfect world,
- 2:53Speaker 4: that would be my dream job to be out there
- 2:55Speaker 4: walking around getting fresh air. I would love that job.
- 2:58Speaker 5: I love it. I've been doing it since twenty eighteen.
- 3:01Speaker 5: It's a very fulfilling job.
- 3:03Speaker 4: I love that. And how much you walk and how
- 3:05Speaker 4: much you're driving.
- 3:07Speaker 5: I don't walk.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I'm full mounted delivery.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Is what they call it.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Got it? Okay, Yeah, I just I know when I
- 3:14Speaker 4: was a kid, our deliverer walked and his calfs were enormous.
- 3:20Speaker 6: That's a city carrier, Okay, I'm a rural carrier.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Okay, that makes way more sense.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Well, Laurie, Yeah, we're gonna tell you are the first
- 3:29Speaker 3: caller of the day. So you want these passes to
- 3:31Speaker 3: go to the Nashville Children's Theater to see Pippy Long Soaking.
- 3:33Speaker 2: That's there until December fifteenth.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Yay.
- 3:36Speaker 4: We love the Nashville Children's Theater. My kids love it.
- 3:39Speaker 4: They do such a great job over there. Were so
- 3:41Speaker 4: lucky to have this institution here in Nashville. Congratulations, Laurie,
- 3:44Speaker 4: thank you. You have a great day today. I love
- 3:47Speaker 4: the positive vibes we're starting our day with, so thank
- 3:50Speaker 4: you for that. I'm gonna put you in a hold
- 3:51Speaker 4: for a second, okay, okay, and we have more of
- 3:53Speaker 4: these passes tomorrow. I know everybody's trying to fill time
- 3:56Speaker 4: with the kids off school, so this is a great
- 3:58Speaker 4: thing to do.
- 4:00Speaker 1: The River Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning a carpenter.
- 4:03Speaker 4: It's a bit before seven o'clock on this Tuesday morning.
- 4:05Speaker 4: It's one of seven to five the River. I've had
- 4:07Speaker 4: this data on the calendar circle for a while. Big
- 4:10Speaker 4: day and the Mano household it is.
- 4:12Speaker 2: You said, your dog, Owen is having surgery.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Yeah, he's eleven years old. He's never been put under
- 4:16Speaker 4: or anything. He's been very healthy. Knock on wood. He's
- 4:18Speaker 4: had a you know, a long, healthy life, and he's
- 4:20Speaker 4: got this growth on the back of his leg, which
- 4:23Speaker 4: is not cancerous. They've they've tested it. They tested it
- 4:25Speaker 4: a year and a half of those and they just
- 4:27Speaker 4: tested it again recently. But it's getting so big it's
- 4:30Speaker 4: becoming intrusive on his life.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I mean, he's a little dog. People like, what thirty pounds.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Yeah, he's a I guess a small to medium sized dog.
- 4:37Speaker 4: And this thing is growing and it's just it just
- 4:40Speaker 4: getting bigger. So our vet suggested that yes, it's time
- 4:42Speaker 4: to look into our options. And today is the day
- 4:45Speaker 4: my wife and kids drop him off. This morning, we
- 4:47Speaker 4: pick him up tomorrow. Yeah, I'm sure it's gonna go great.
- 4:51Speaker 4: But you know, whenever, whenever something like this happens, it's
- 4:53Speaker 4: in the back of your head all day.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Oh day long. He is absolutely gonna feel so much better.
- 4:57Speaker 3: But I know that, like your children are very he
- 5:00Speaker 3: attached to things. How are they like dealing with the
- 5:03Speaker 3: fact that number one, Owen's not gonna be there all
- 5:05Speaker 3: day and knowing that he has to have surgery.
- 5:07Speaker 4: They are sad. They're both very sad about this. They
- 5:09Speaker 4: know that ultimately it will uh, you know, he'll feel
- 5:12Speaker 4: better on the other side of it. But uh, last night,
- 5:14Speaker 4: my son Riley, he's six years old, we were hugging
- 5:18Speaker 4: Owen and giving him all the love and stuff, and
- 5:19Speaker 4: then I told him that they were gonna shave Owen's leg,
- 5:22Speaker 4: his entire leg. They're gonna shave it for the surgery. That,
- 5:25Speaker 4: for some reason, is what set him off. He just
- 5:27Speaker 4: burst into tears. He couldn't handle that, for some reason,
- 5:30Speaker 4: was the first dame he cried about the thing. He
- 5:32Speaker 4: couldn't handle the pain that they're gonna shave his leg.
- 5:34Speaker 2: He didn't care about anything else, etcetera. He didn't want
- 5:36Speaker 2: him to look embarrassing.
- 5:38Speaker 4: He might have been overtired too.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I don't know, Precious, but he's gonna be so much
- 5:42Speaker 3: better on the other end of it.
- 5:44Speaker 2: And it's just a quick little surgery.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Absolutely setting out the best positive vibes through these airwaves
- 5:48Speaker 4: to to Owen. I love everybody. I give him an
- 5:50Speaker 4: extra long snuggle as I left the house. Yeah, he'll
- 5:53Speaker 4: be great, He'll be gad. I'll give an update, give
- 5:55Speaker 4: an updates soon.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Oh hi, Hello, good morning, Happy Tuesday. Thanks for starting
- 6:02Speaker 3: your day with us. It's right after seven o'clock. All
- 6:04Speaker 3: right now, Kevin Mana has us three things need to know.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Thank you, appreciate that, Zach. There's a big story at
- 6:09Speaker 4: the moment. The Menendez brothers, Lyle and Eric were scheduled
- 6:12Speaker 4: to appear in court yesterday for the first time in
- 6:14Speaker 4: twenty eight years. There's been renewed interest in their case
- 6:17Speaker 4: ever since that Monsters show came out on Netflix. There's
- 6:20Speaker 4: been a push for them to be freed. They're supposed
- 6:22Speaker 4: to appear remotely yesterday, but I guess there were technical
- 6:24Speaker 4: difficulties and they weren't able to show. But we did
- 6:27Speaker 4: find out that their December eleventh re sentencing hearing has
- 6:30Speaker 4: been delayed. The judge in the case needs more time,
- 6:32Speaker 4: so that hearing has been pushed to the end of January.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Some people thought they might be freed before the end
- 6:37Speaker 4: of the year, and that is not happening. Also, yesterday
- 6:39Speaker 4: we found out that the wife of Lyle Menendez announced
- 6:42Speaker 4: their separation after twenty one years of marriage.
- 6:45Speaker 2: She said, you're about to get out of jail. I
- 6:46Speaker 2: do not want to be around you.
- 6:48Speaker 4: He's single. Ladies, Oh yeah, something a little lighter here,
- 6:52Speaker 4: lighter than the Menendez brothers. Lucky Lad Farms Holly Jolly
- 6:56Speaker 4: Festival of Light starts this week. We love Lucky Lad Farms.
- 6:59Speaker 4: I was just out there in the corn maze with
- 7:00Speaker 4: my kids picking pumpkins starting this Friday and running through
- 7:04Speaker 4: December twenty seconds that got their nearly mile long trail
- 7:07Speaker 4: of twinkling lights, got fresh bake cookies, s'mores, hot coco,
- 7:11Speaker 4: Christmas gifts, all the things again that starts this Friday.
- 7:14Speaker 2: I want to go.
- 7:14Speaker 4: It does sound great and dictionary dot Com has chosen
- 7:18Speaker 4: their word of the years. Zach, Do you have any guesses?
- 7:22Speaker 2: M No, actually, because I feel like it changes every week.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right, we treslough. Well. This one's
- 7:30Speaker 4: courtesy of a viral video that just took over. Its
- 7:32Speaker 4: demure Oh I love demure choice by dictionary dot com.
- 7:38Speaker 4: It is defined by dictionary dot com. It's characterized by
- 7:41Speaker 4: shyness and modesty reserved. That's what they say. And again.
- 7:45Speaker 4: This is the audio originally posted on TikTok by Jules
- 7:48Speaker 4: Lebron that started in all here it is.
- 7:50Speaker 2: You see how you do my makeup for work? Very demure,
- 7:53Speaker 2: very mindful.
- 7:54Speaker 4: And from there it just exploded and congratulations. Demure the
- 7:57Speaker 4: word of the you know.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Happy to be here, new best friends. Ricky Zachon Mano
- 8:02Speaker 1: in the morning one five.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Seven five the River. Good morning, It's time to learn
- 8:09Speaker 4: with Zach SPACs.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Did you know that in ancient Egypt the word for
- 8:12Speaker 3: cat was actually pronounced mew i did not yea. So
- 8:17Speaker 3: if you call him meals then you're basically from ancient Egypt.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Wow.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Yeah, let me hear you best mew mew you sound mad?
- 8:27Speaker 2: Yeah? Okay, your fact of the day.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Ricky Zachon Mano in the Morning, seven five the River.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Ricky, zach and Mano in the morning. Ricky is not
- 8:36Speaker 4: here today? She's out this week Thanksgiving week. But Zach
- 8:39Speaker 4: and I have a question for you. Something she's very
- 8:41Speaker 4: passionate about. Uh, it just comes up in here. Sometimes
- 8:44Speaker 4: we see people do this on TV and it's a
- 8:47Speaker 4: point of contention in the room.
- 8:48Speaker 3: We tell you that she's passionate about it. She literally
- 8:50Speaker 3: gets so mad every day.
- 8:52Speaker 4: Yeah, we want your opinion. Our outside clothes allowed on
- 8:57Speaker 4: your bed.
- 8:58Speaker 3: And when he says outside clothes, that clothes, you wanter
- 9:00Speaker 3: the work or to the grocery store like something you
- 9:03Speaker 3: wore all day. And then you just go home in
- 9:04Speaker 3: your outside clothes.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Slop on your bed six one five, seven, three seven nine,
- 9:08Speaker 4: one oh seven. Every once in a while, we'll see
- 9:09Speaker 4: somebody on TV. We have like these weird sitcoms on
- 9:12Speaker 4: in here, and Ricky gets so angry. You're like, you're
- 9:14Speaker 4: putting the outside clothes on your bed. So uh, we
- 9:17Speaker 4: thought today would be the great, the best day to
- 9:19Speaker 4: have al Yeah, without her, but maybe she's the majority here.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Maybe people are like, oh my gosh, that's disgusting to
- 9:25Speaker 4: lay on your bed and your work clothes. Six one five, seven,
- 9:28Speaker 4: three seven nine, one oh seven. Let us know what
- 9:30Speaker 4: your rule is at home?
- 9:31Speaker 1: One oh seven five the River, Ricky and Zach and
- 9:34Speaker 1: Meno in the morning.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Hey, whose side of this or you want? Do you
- 9:37Speaker 4: think outside clothes like your work clothes, your day clothes,
- 9:40Speaker 4: should be allowed on your bed at home?
- 9:42Speaker 5: Yes they should.
- 9:44Speaker 3: So you're okay with like just frolinking around the world
- 9:47Speaker 3: and getting all of these other people's germs and nastiness
- 9:50Speaker 3: all over you and then go on to lay in
- 9:52Speaker 3: the bed.
- 9:54Speaker 4: I don't know, he's ten years old and he doesn't care.
- 9:58Speaker 4: That's a very honest answer, fair enough, and you'll probably should.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Not care about it.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Thank you for your input. Gobble gobble, gobble gobble. All right,
- 10:06Speaker 4: heavy Thanksgiving week, buddy, We'll go to Heather. Now, Heather,
- 10:10Speaker 4: what do you think Ricky is outraged whenever she sees
- 10:13Speaker 4: somebody on TV laying on their bed and their work clothes.
- 10:16Speaker 6: Whether I'm working in an ofFast floor on at the restaurant,
- 10:19Speaker 6: especially in a restaurant, do not come home and get
- 10:22Speaker 6: in your dirty uniform after, you know, working in a
- 10:24Speaker 6: kitchen service people all day, but even in the office
- 10:27Speaker 6: there's that sense of I'm done the day. You feel
- 10:30Speaker 6: more fresh, you know, at least putt pajamas on the sweatpants.
- 10:34Speaker 6: I don't care, but don't get in my bed. That's disgusting.
- 10:36Speaker 6: And then the other thing I learned I'm big on
- 10:38Speaker 6: now are house shoes. I take my shoes off, I
- 10:42Speaker 6: have a place for them, and I put my house
- 10:43Speaker 6: shoes off and I love it.
- 10:45Speaker 3: That's officially how you know you're getting old, Heather, is
- 10:47Speaker 3: when you have house shoes there.
- 10:49Speaker 6: I don't even care. I love it. I think it's
- 10:51Speaker 6: the best. Think about it, you're tracking in all this
- 10:54Speaker 6: dirt from outside.
- 10:55Speaker 4: I definitely do not wear my shoes in the house.
- 10:57Speaker 4: I mean, I know a lot of people don't to
- 10:58Speaker 4: each their own, but I don't have house shoes.
- 11:01Speaker 6: Maybe I should look into summer literally slippers if people
- 11:04Speaker 6: call them house shoes.
- 11:05Speaker 4: All right, Heather, we'll mark you down in Ricky's category.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Thanks for your input.
- 11:09Speaker 6: Happy Thanksgiving us.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Happy Thanksgiving to you. Faith from Laverne. Last one here?
- 11:13Speaker 4: What do you think who sided you on with the
- 11:15Speaker 4: clothes on the bed situation?
- 11:16Speaker 5: So I will preface this, but I'm a house care
- 11:18Speaker 5: worker and I do not let my patience family sit
- 11:22Speaker 5: on their hospital person's bed. But think of it. You
- 11:26Speaker 5: said on a public bench, you sit on a subway
- 11:27Speaker 5: seat you sit in a restaurant, would you let that
- 11:31Speaker 5: and fall asleep on that bench? Probably not? So bring
- 11:34Speaker 5: it into your bed.
- 11:35Speaker 4: You know what. That's very well said.
- 11:37Speaker 3: I mean, you make a lot of good points, but yes,
- 11:39Speaker 3: I would fall asleep on that.
- 11:40Speaker 2: If I need to take a nap, I'll just lay
- 11:42Speaker 2: wherever I gotta leaf.
- 11:43Speaker 4: See, she made me want to burn all of my clothes.
- 11:47Speaker 4: All right, Thank you Faith for weighing in.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Thank you a good one.
- 11:51Speaker 4: You two thanksgiving Faith. So even though Ricky wasn't here
- 11:54Speaker 4: to have this conversation, it seems like, uh, the majority
- 11:57Speaker 4: of people back her up.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess you're not supposed to wear you side
- 12:00Speaker 3: clothes on the bed.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I don't know why people care so much.
- 12:02Speaker 4: I'm gonna have a full change of clothes waiting for
- 12:04Speaker 4: me by the front door. From there, the house, shoes, from.
- 12:07Speaker 1: All of it.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning givin Mano's Game
- 12:12Speaker 4: of the Day presented by Genesis Diamonds. It's game time, Babe,
- 12:16Speaker 4: there we go.
- 12:16Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about.
- 12:18Speaker 4: We are playing for tickets to see the band Nightly,
- 12:20Speaker 4: a great, great, great local band. They're headlining the Rymans
- 12:23Speaker 4: for the first time. If you're not familiar with them,
- 12:25Speaker 4: here's Nightly right here. That's what they sound like. They
- 12:36Speaker 4: came in here a couple of weeks ago to announce
- 12:38Speaker 4: the fact that they are headlining the Ryman which is
- 12:40Speaker 4: a big deal for that.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Yeah, they're so cool.
- 12:41Speaker 3: They played Our River on the rooftop and now they're
- 12:43Speaker 3: headlining the rhyming like it's so cool to.
- 12:45Speaker 4: See six one five, seven, three, seven nine seven. The
- 12:47Speaker 4: game this week is what's it from? Thanksgiving edition? We're
- 12:51Speaker 4: about to play some audio. If you can identify the source,
- 12:54Speaker 4: you get the tickets to see them. Okay, here's the
- 12:56Speaker 4: clue today.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Happy Thanksgiving. It's turn to say Happy Thanksgiving Back. Happy
- 13:03Speaker 1: Thanksgiving Back.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Could be a TV show, a movie commercial, whatever. Six one, five, seven,
- 13:08Speaker 4: three seven, nine, one oh seven. If you know what
- 13:10Speaker 4: that's from, these tickets are.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Years one oh seven five The River. Heiky Zach.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Jelly roll on one O seven to five The River.
- 13:19Speaker 4: He's playing that big hometown show at Bridgestone tonight. Right now,
- 13:23Speaker 4: it's Kevin Manoh's Game of the Day presented by Genesis Diamonds,
- 13:26Speaker 4: playing for tickets to see the band Nightly let's say
- 13:29Speaker 4: good morning to Jacob in Lafayette.
- 13:31Speaker 5: How are you?
- 13:32Speaker 2: We're good? How are you? I'm good. I'm just getting
- 13:35Speaker 2: home from work.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Are you feeling really confident that you know where this
- 13:39Speaker 3: clip is from?
- 13:40Speaker 5: I am pretty sure.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Okay, we're gonna play it for you one more time,
- 13:45Speaker 4: Jacob again, the game of the day this week playing
- 13:47Speaker 4: for tickets to see the band. Nightly at the Ryman,
- 13:50Speaker 4: we're playing What's it From? Thanksgiving Edition? I will give
- 13:53Speaker 4: you the clue one more time and then you tell
- 13:54Speaker 4: us what it's from.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Here we go, Happy Thanksgiving. It's your turn to say
- 13:58Speaker 1: Happy Thanksgiving back? Happy Thanksgiving back, Jacob.
- 14:03Speaker 4: What's it from?
- 14:05Speaker 5: Is it from? You've got mail with Tom Hanks?
- 14:09Speaker 4: Yeah, he even gave some cast congratulations Jacob, Thank you.
- 14:15Speaker 4: It was easy for you. Ius expected that to last
- 14:18Speaker 4: a bit longer. Nightly at the Rhym in May thirtieth,
- 14:21Speaker 4: you're gonna be there.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Aw. Three things you need to know.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Oh, good morning and happy Tuesday. It's right after eight o'clock.
- 14:27Speaker 2: It's gonna be a beautiful day.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Ricky Sanchez is out today, So Kevin man Outs, or
- 14:32Speaker 3: as I'd like to call him, keV Dog, has the
- 14:34Speaker 3: three things you need to know that's true.
- 14:35Speaker 4: Thank you, Zach. First, the old PSA for anyone that
- 14:38Speaker 4: might need to visit one of those driver self kiosks
- 14:41Speaker 4: in the next few weeks. The self service kiosks. I
- 14:44Speaker 4: just used one a couple weeks ago, as Zach, I
- 14:45Speaker 4: know you did too.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Yep.
- 14:47Speaker 4: A ton of them in the area are closed this
- 14:49Speaker 4: week for equipment upgrades. The kiosks at the Hickman, Macon,
- 14:53Speaker 4: and Smith County Clerk's offices, Nashville Metro Center, Laverne Public Library.
- 14:57Speaker 4: There's a whole long list. A bunch of them shut
- 14:59Speaker 4: down this week. We can post that full list in
- 15:01Speaker 4: our Instagram stories at one oh seven five. The river
- 15:03Speaker 4: driver services are temporarily unavailable at the kiosks. Just something
- 15:07Speaker 4: to know before he head over to them. We've talked
- 15:10Speaker 4: a bit over the last couple weeks in here about
- 15:12Speaker 4: all those celebrity lookalike contests popping up all over the place.
- 15:15Speaker 4: It all started with that Timothy Shallow May contest in
- 15:17Speaker 4: New York. We just had one here in Nashville this
- 15:20Speaker 4: weekend to find Jacob and Edward from Twilight lookalikes. Usually
- 15:24Speaker 4: the prizes for these things are like five dollars or
- 15:27Speaker 4: something very underwhelming. Not anymore. They just had a Glenn
- 15:30Speaker 4: Powell lookalike contest in Austin, Texas. Glenn's mom was a judge,
- 15:35Speaker 4: and Glenn actually called in he like facetimed in and
- 15:37Speaker 4: said that the member of the winner's family is going
- 15:41Speaker 4: to get to make a cameo in one of his
- 15:43Speaker 4: upcoming movies. How cool is that? No, it turned out
- 15:46Speaker 4: to be a physician's assistant named Maxwell. He won the thing,
- 15:49Speaker 4: and now a member of Maxwell's family will be in
- 15:51Speaker 4: a Glenn Powell movie. Really ups the ante for these
- 15:55Speaker 4: lookalike contests. And I know a lot of us today
- 15:58Speaker 4: will be running to this store to get all the
- 16:00Speaker 4: Thanksgiving dinner items. And some good news. Farm data shows
- 16:04Speaker 4: that Thanksgiving dinner will be historically affordable. Yeah, I know,
- 16:09Speaker 4: adjusting for inflation, it's gonna be the cheapest it's been
- 16:11Speaker 4: in nearly forty years. That's wild. It's estimated that fifty
- 16:16Speaker 4: eight dollars and eight cents of person for a ten
- 16:18Speaker 4: person gathering, that's how much it's gonna cost. That breaks
- 16:21Speaker 4: down to five dollars and eighty one cents a person.
- 16:23Speaker 4: That doesn't totally seem to match the prices I see
- 16:26Speaker 4: when I go to the store now. But I guess
- 16:28Speaker 4: this is nationally so that is something to be thankful for.
- 16:30Speaker 4: I want to mention this though. On the other side
- 16:32Speaker 4: of it, I just read about a steakhouse in New
- 16:35Speaker 4: York that's serving a spoonful of cranberry sauce for one
- 16:38Speaker 4: hundred and ninety five dollars.
- 16:39Speaker 2: That would be the best cranberry sauce I ever put
- 16:42Speaker 2: in my mouth.
- 16:42Speaker 4: It's laced with like gold and truffles and other fancy things.
- 16:46Speaker 4: It seems a bit excessive to me. One hundred and
- 16:47Speaker 4: ninety five dollars for one spoonful.
- 16:49Speaker 2: That is when you know you have too much money.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so too. There you go. Three things
- 16:54Speaker 4: you now know.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Ricky zachon Mano. In the morning, it's.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Thanks it's one oh seven five the river. We have
- 17:02Speaker 4: a list of Thanksgiving hacks, and these are from a caterer.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:06Speaker 3: One of them is, if you forgot to take your
- 17:08Speaker 3: turkey out yesterday, don't worry. You can use water to
- 17:11Speaker 3: thaw a turkey in hours instead of letting it sit
- 17:13Speaker 3: out for days.
- 17:14Speaker 4: So just like open air, which is maybe the way
- 17:16Speaker 4: people have been doing it for years and years. Put
- 17:18Speaker 4: it in like a little bath of water. I mean
- 17:20Speaker 4: warm water.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Supposed to happen at hours instead of days. That's just
- 17:23Speaker 3: one of them that we have.
- 17:24Speaker 4: If you have one to add, you can give us
- 17:25Speaker 4: a call. Six one five, seven, three seven nine, one
- 17:27Speaker 4: oh seven. But Zach's got this full list of hacks
- 17:30Speaker 4: from a caterer. It's gonna help make your Thanksgiving so
- 17:33Speaker 4: much smoother. Run it down next on the River Ricky
- 17:37Speaker 4: is Zach and Manno in the morning on one O
- 17:40Speaker 4: seven five the River stargazing on one O seven five
- 17:44Speaker 4: the River. Zach has a list of hacks Thanksgiving hacks
- 17:47Speaker 4: from a caterer. We're gonna run those down in a second.
- 17:50Speaker 4: But first, Ashley in Green Hills, Hey, that's my neck
- 17:53Speaker 4: of the woods. What's your Thanksgiving hack?
- 17:56Speaker 2: I like to cook my mass potatoes the night before
- 17:58Speaker 2: because I feel like there's so time consuming that it's
- 18:01Speaker 2: good to get that out of the way before.
- 18:03Speaker 3: I mean, that's true if you think about it, like
- 18:04Speaker 3: you have to boil the potatoes, then you got to
- 18:07Speaker 3: mash them, then you gotta add everything that's like ours
- 18:09Speaker 3: on just too.
- 18:11Speaker 4: It's it's a lot of work, granted, I've never made
- 18:13Speaker 4: mashed potatoes from scratch, but ours, it's an it's ours
- 18:17Speaker 4: kind feels like you're a slow masher. Zach.
- 18:19Speaker 2: No, it seems like you've never made anything from scratch.
- 18:22Speaker 2: You don't have any idea.
- 18:23Speaker 4: I could probably do it in ten minutes, Ashley. Are
- 18:26Speaker 4: they still Do they still taste fresh the next day?
- 18:29Speaker 6: Oh? I think so. My kids enjoy them, so I
- 18:31Speaker 6: think it's fine.
- 18:31Speaker 2: I feel like they might taste better.
- 18:33Speaker 3: They're like marinating and all of the mixture that you have,
- 18:36Speaker 3: like it's absorbing all of the flavor.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Than a necache. Just make them tonight, you arinate those
- 18:40Speaker 4: babies all week.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I don't know about that, Ashley.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Thank you for your tip, your Thanksgiving hack. You helped
- 18:46Speaker 4: a lot of people here today Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving. Thanks
- 18:50Speaker 4: for listening.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Bite off.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Zach does have more hacks, Hey, Zach's hacks. These are
- 18:54Speaker 4: from a caterer, Zach hacks. What are they?
- 18:57Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 18:57Speaker 3: So the list is like kind of like Ashley said,
- 19:00Speaker 3: make your gravy in advance as well, so that because
- 19:03Speaker 3: that takes forever.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Also, I love this hack.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Pick up some disposable tins or like muffin tins so
- 19:09Speaker 3: that you can leave, have your guests leave with leftovers
- 19:11Speaker 3: instead of.
- 19:12Speaker 2: With your good tupleware. It's like the illuminum foil stuff.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Send that home with them.
- 19:17Speaker 3: I didn't know this, but you can peel your potatoes
- 19:20Speaker 3: with a fork.
- 19:21Speaker 4: I learned that.
- 19:24Speaker 2: I had no idea. And I also love this one.
- 19:27Speaker 3: If you're making a green bean castrole, they say to
- 19:29Speaker 3: use frozen onion rings on top of your green bean
- 19:32Speaker 3: castrole instead of like the frenches fried onions that you
- 19:36Speaker 3: usually put on. To buy the frozen onion rings and
- 19:38Speaker 3: put those on top of your green bean castle so
- 19:40Speaker 3: they all baked together.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Okay, I know now I'm hungry.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Thanks for being a part of our morning, Ricky, Zach
- 19:46Speaker 4: and Manno in the morning the River. It's time for
