We listen to the Gospel today telling us about the desertion Jesus experienced from many of His disciples. Why did they leave Jesus? It was because they could not accept His teaching about the Holy Eucharist, that we need to eat His Flesh and drink His Blood so that we be saved. It was ludicrous to them.
