Speaker 1: It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, here it is we need some rain.
• 0:46
  Speaker 2: It's a little warm.
• 0:47
Speaker 1: We haven't had rain in a month and it is a little warm.
• 0:49
Speaker 1: Yesterday, I think, we broke a record of I don't know what 92 degrees or something For October into November.
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: Yes, it's crazy.
• 0:56
Speaker 1: Yeah, I do remember, however, sweating when I was taking the girls for trick-or-treating a couple of Halloweens.
• 1:04
Speaker 1: This is back in the 90s and it was hot Now in Wisconsin.
• 1:11
Speaker 1: I remember trick-or-treating with your snowsuit underneath your Halloween costume that you made or your sister made or somebody made for you.
• 1:23
Speaker 2: We didn't go out and buy Halloween costumes back in the day when we were little.
• 1:25
Speaker 2: The parents would buy you a plastic mask and all that stuff, but you ended up hurting your ripping it off.
• 1:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, we didn't do any of that For some reason I was enamored by hobos and I always had my hobo uniform ready to go in the closet Is that why, when we're going on the road you see a train with a boxcar, you get a little tear in your eye.
• 1:44
Speaker 2: Boxcar Willie, boxcar Don, boxcar Ray Ray.
• 1:49
  Speaker 1: That's it.
• 1:49
Speaker 1: We want to do the Hemings Sold Cars Roundup.
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: We can.
• 1:57
Speaker 1: We haven't done it in a few weeks.
• 1:59
Speaker 2: Is this our spot for an open yes?
• 2:02
Speaker 2: Okay, then you go right ahead.
• 2:05
Speaker 3: So one of our online commenters no so-so One of our online there's some humor here.
• 2:09
Speaker 3: One of our online commenters indicated that once upon a time you had a girlfriend named Taurus or something.
• 2:16
Speaker 3: Did I read that right?
• 2:20
Speaker 2: Did he write it in English?
• 2:21
Speaker 2: If you want to subscribe, there is so much here.
• 2:22
Speaker 2: Yeah, taurus, don Armstrong had a girlfriend named Taurus.
• 2:23
Speaker 2: Did he write it in English?
• 2:24
Speaker 2: If you want to subscribe, you can subscribe to him.
• 2:25
Speaker 3: Yeah, taurus, don Armstrong had a girlfriend named Taurus.
• 2:29
Speaker 1: Well, I don't remember that one, sorry.
• 2:31
Speaker 1: I don't know what that means.
• 2:32
Speaker 1: Must be some hidden meaning behind it.
• 2:34
Speaker 3: I think it came in earlier in the show and I just missed it, of course you did.
• 2:38
Speaker 2: That makes a different Don Armstrong.
• 2:40
Speaker 1: Okay, so the way that this works is Hemmingscom sells cars online and at the end of the week they show you what sold on their website and it's called Sold Cars Roundup.
• 2:57
Speaker 1: You can look and see for yourself.
• 2:59
Speaker 1: You can play along at home.
• 3:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's kind of fun.
• 3:01
Speaker 1: Now all of the details about each of these cars that we're going to talk about here are online.
• 3:08
Speaker 1: It's too deep and too involved in that.
• 3:10
Speaker 1: We just kind of try to get a ballpark figure of what some of these cars are worth today.
• 3:14
Speaker 1: Most of them are older classics, if you will, and so we're going to start today with the value of a 1972 Chevrolet K10.
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: Remember what a K10 was?
• 3:28
  Speaker 1: Now, k10 was a half-ton pickup truck.
• 3:31
Speaker 1: They called it something different back then, called a K10.
• 3:34
  Speaker 1: Okay, okay, it's a two-door half-ton pickup truck.
• 3:39
Speaker 1: Now, this one looks super clean.
• 3:40
Speaker 1: It's got those great big ugly mirrors on the side of it that they used to put on trucks.
• 3:46
Speaker 1: Remember that three screw holes in it and this big triangle thing that held the big mirror on there.
• 3:51
Speaker 1: Awesome, so this would be considered in today's truck circles as a square body.
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: Okay, 72, 72, it's a half ton.
• 4:03
Speaker 1: Uh, looks like it's got a standard bed on it.
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: I'm not sure.
• 4:06
Speaker 1: It doesn't make any difference.
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: It's a 72.
• 4:08
Speaker 1: Probably has a small block V8 in it, as I would guess.
• 4:12
Speaker 1: So how much would you think one looks really good in stock condition.
• 4:19
Speaker 1: How much would you think that that would go for?
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: I'll go 12.
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: I'm going to go $19,000.
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: $19,000?
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: How about $36,750?
• 4:31
Speaker 3: I think the K-Series is like the half or three-quarter ton, because the C-10 was the $1,500.
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: That's what I said.
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: That's what I said right there K-10.
• 4:38
Speaker 2: I know, but I couldn't remember if it was the half or what I had a GMC van that had mirrors on that, but they were horizontal long, they weren't up and down like the verticals, but they had the same bracket on them.
• 4:49
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll be darned.
• 4:52
Speaker 1: Yep, here's one for you, jeff.
• 4:54
Speaker 1: All right, this is a 2004 Cadillac.
• 5:11
Speaker 1: Xlr was Cadillac's hopes of being the luxury Corvette dealer, and this was at a period of time that they thought that they could take the Corvette chassis, put some Cadillac metal on it, put a hardtop convertible on the road and send it down the road.
• 5:29
Speaker 1: Well, it didn't sell too well, but it still.
• 5:30
Speaker 1: It looks good, but the confines are really tight in the thing they.
• 5:31
Speaker 1: It's kind of like the mercedes-benz I don't remember the, the little two-door coupe that mercedes-benz built for a lot of golfers drove those because they were.
• 5:41
Speaker 2: Those are the cars that they gave the golfers for tournaments and things was the XLR.
• 5:44
  Speaker 2: I'm going to go $20,000.
• 5:50
  Speaker 3: $20,000.
• 5:50
Speaker 3: I really have no clue.
• 5:51
Speaker 3: Just because Jeff thinks it's worth $20,000, I'm going to go for $25,000.
• 5:54
Speaker 1: Would you like to see the car?
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: There it is.
• 5:56
Speaker 1: We know what it's going to look like.
• 5:58
Speaker 2: I might change my mind.
• 5:59
  Speaker 2: I'll go $20,000 because it's a two-seater.
• 6:01
  Speaker 3: Yeah, I would go 20.
• 6:03
Speaker 3: I would go 30 on it.
• 6:04
  Speaker 1: Really yeah, 16.8.
• 6:08
  Speaker 3: 16.8.
• 6:09
Speaker 1: I don't know how many miles it's got on it, but it looks clean.
• 6:11
Speaker 3: Well, I know, but I thought that would be something kind of special.
• 6:13
Speaker 1: This was for Don Armstrong.
• 6:15
Speaker 1: Here the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Looks like it's the rally sport version.
• 6:20
Speaker 1: Now, whether it's a real rally sport or not.
• 6:23
Speaker 3: I don't know we're going to assume it is.
• 6:25
Speaker 1: We'll assume that it is because of the I'm going to give you a little hint here because of the price.
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: That's not a Z28 and it is a 67.
• 6:33
Speaker 1: What do you think that that would sell?
• 6:36
Speaker 3: for Does it have the hidden headlights on it?
• 6:37
Speaker 1: No, it does not have the hidden headlights on it.
• 6:39
Speaker 2: I'm going to go $25 and $10 for the mullet.
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: I don't know if it's got a mullet on it.
• 6:51
  Speaker 3: I'd go $22 without the mullet $22,.
• 6:54
Speaker 1: Really, I gave you a hint that it looked like it was an original, but maybe not.
• 7:00
Speaker 3: Well, but if it doesn't have the highway headlight?
• 7:03
  Speaker 1: No, that's options, I understand.
• 7:04
Speaker 1: Well, it doesn't have the highway headlight.
• 7:05
Speaker 3: No, those are options, that's an option?
• 7:06
Speaker 1: Well, it doesn't have it.
• 7:07
Speaker 1: So how much do you?
• 7:10
Speaker 3: think it's worth, how much it's worth and how much it's sold for.
• 7:12
Speaker 1: How much it's sold for.
• 7:13
Speaker 1: All right All right?
• 7:15
  Speaker 3: Well, let's say $40,000.
• 7:15
  Speaker 3: $40,000.
• 7:17
Speaker 3: For lack of anything else, jeffrey $25,000.
• 7:20
  Speaker 1: How about $57,750?
• 7:24
Speaker 3: There must be something else there.
• 7:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, did I misdescribe it for you.
• 7:29
Speaker 3: No, no, no no.
• 7:32
Speaker 1: Okay, now here's one for Jeff.
• 7:33
Speaker 1: This is strictly a Jeff Zekin cover.
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: Oh no, it's a 1950 Plymouth Suburban.
• 7:41
Speaker 1: I did not know that they had a Suburban, but it's basically a station wagon, a Plymouth.
• 7:47
  Speaker 3: Suburban what year?
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: 1950.
• 7:50
Speaker 1: It looks like it's been completely restored back to original.
• 7:56
Speaker 1: You can't look at your phone.
• 7:58
Speaker 3: No, no, I'm looking at this, because I'm almost thinking this Camaro is an SS instead of an RS.
• 8:05
Speaker 1: I don't think they made an SS in 67, but whatever, we've moved on from that.
• 8:09
Speaker 3: I know, but now I'm curious.
• 8:10
Speaker 3: All right, so what do you think?
• 8:11
  Speaker 3: A 19.
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: 18.5.
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: 18.5.
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: 18.5.
• 8:14
  Speaker 1: 12.5.
• 8:17
  Speaker 1: 14.245.
• 8:19
Speaker 1: Oh, jeff, there you go.
• 8:21
Speaker 1: Find out who bought it.
• 8:24
Speaker 2: And that is pretty it is, that's a hot rod tour Texas car right there.
• 8:29
Speaker 1: It is yeah, yeah yeah, you know it's probably got a three-speed manual transmission in it.
• 8:33
Speaker 1: All right, here's one for you.
• 8:35
Speaker 1: Ford people 1958 Ford Fairlane 500.
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: Oh, oh oh, it's a two-door.
• 8:45
Speaker 1: It's blue and white.
• 8:48
Speaker 1: It looks like it's been restored.
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: A 58 Ford Fairlane 500.
• 8:56
Speaker 3: Did they have the retractable hardtop?
• 8:57
Speaker 3: Well, this one, I don't think Not.
• 8:58
Speaker 3: On this one, they would have said it.
• 9:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think that this one is, but it's nice.
• 9:05
  Speaker 2: It's very nice.
• 9:05
Speaker 2: I'm going to go low, I'm going to go 17.
• 9:08
  Speaker 1: I'm going to go 28.
• 9:09
  Speaker 1: How about 40?
• 9:10
  Speaker 1: Almost $41,000.
• 9:13
Speaker 1: That's what I was going to say.
• 9:15
Speaker 3: Drug me down with your lowball.
• 9:17
  Speaker 3: Drug me down.
• 9:19
Speaker 1: Now here's a Kennedy car, 1962 Lincoln Continental with the suicide doors.
• 9:26
  Speaker 1: But this one it's only a two-door, it's a convertible 62.
• 9:33
Speaker 2: You know, those things are kind of they do too much all the time to them.
• 9:38
Speaker 2: Yeah, it looks like it's all original.
• 9:40
  Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a picture.
• 9:42
Speaker 2: I'm going to go, I'm going to go.
• 9:44
Speaker 2: That's all we got to go by, I'm gonna go 12 12 yes I'm gonna go 27, how about 73 500 oh?
• 9:53
Speaker 1: jeffrey I just didn't feel it now.
• 9:57
Speaker 1: I would give him 12 for now.
• 9:59
Speaker 1: For those of you that like oldsmobiles, this may be the bargain of the day.
• 10:03
  Speaker 1: A 1969 Oldsmobile Toronado.
• 10:06
Speaker 1: This is the original.
• 10:09
Speaker 1: This is the first of the front wheel drives.
• 10:12
Speaker 1: If you remember correctly, they had to put special wheels on them because of the axle and all that stuff and the brakes.
• 10:20
Speaker 1: The wheels kind of looked a little off.
• 10:22
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right, they were inverted and it had hideaway headlights on it.
• 10:29
Speaker 1: I mean, it was state-of-the-art stuff for 1969.
• 10:32
Speaker 2: My dad would drive one now when he was with Oldsmobile.
• 10:34
Speaker 1: This one based on the price.
• 10:37
Speaker 1: It either doesn't run or it's got about a mile thick of Bondo on it or something.
• 10:44
Speaker 3: Most of Heming's cars don't do that, I understand.
• 10:47
Speaker 1: But I'm just saying a 69 Oldsmobile Tornado, what do you think that I'm going to go 10.
• 10:51
  Speaker 1: I would go 18, 14, 7, 19.
• 10:55
Speaker 1: So I guess the point being here is that if you're looking to get into the market whether you're a real car guy or not, or you just like to have an old car sitting in the garage that you could take like on the hot rod, tour of.
• 11:12
  Speaker 1: Texas.
• 11:12
Speaker 1: The prices are reasonable on some of these cars.
• 11:16
Speaker 1: I mean, why not?
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: Here's an 85 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon a Galanda wagon as it's called $31,500.
• 11:28
Speaker 1: It kind of looks like a Jeep Wrangler.
• 11:30
Speaker 1: Some of these cars in here are priced right.
• 11:34
Speaker 1: It's kind of surprising.
• 11:37
Speaker 1: That's the Chevrolet Chevelle for $39,000.
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
• 11:41
  Speaker 1: But here's a 67 Ford Mustang for $19,425.
• 11:44
Speaker 2: That Chevelle looks like a GS almost.
• 11:46
Speaker 2: Well, it's been lowered.
• 11:48
  Speaker 3: What a 72?
• 11:49
  Speaker 1: A 72,.
• 11:50
  Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a driver.
• 11:54
Speaker 3: I think we talked to Woody about how some of those cars the prices are coming down because the buyers, the younger buyers coming up, just aren't that interested in them, so they're starting to come down.
• 12:06
Speaker 3: They keep coming down.
• 12:07
Speaker 2: I might be able to afford one of these, there's fewer and fewer older buyers because of life Right.
• 12:12
  Speaker 2: Life goes on.
• 12:13
Speaker 3: Right and the young ones?
• 12:14
Speaker 3: They're just not interested in them.
• 12:16
Speaker 1: They don't want grandpa's collector car.
• 12:17
Speaker 1: They're going to turn it and sell it.
• 12:19
Speaker 1: You find it on something like this, but if you want to, you know there are so many auction sites online.
• 12:25
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, a friend of mine that I work with, he's into getting a C2 Corvette.
• 12:35
Speaker 1: He wants a Restomod, so he wants the air conditioning in it.
• 12:39
Speaker 1: We want the nice paint, the pleasure of driving Right, and so we're looking about a six-figure car there.
• 12:47
Speaker 1: He wants a nice one, yeah, probably so.
• 12:49
Speaker 1: Yeah, with a late model motor in it, so he doesn't have to worry about carburetors and all that stuff.
• 12:55
Speaker 1: Fuel-injected motor Doesn't have to be a rocket ship or anything like that.
• 13:01
Speaker 1: No, he just wants a nice driver, correct, and he wants something other than a two or three-speed transmission in it.
• 13:07
Speaker 1: He wants an automatic transmission and he wants something other than a two or three speed transmission in it.
• 13:11
Speaker 1: He wants an automatic transmission.
• 13:12
Speaker 1: So that means that it's going to have to be hacked up a little bit, because these new transmissions are huge.
• 13:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, but I really think you could probably find something like that.
• 13:19
Speaker 3: Yeah, I could, and he did.
• 13:21
Speaker 1: But, like I said, they're in the six figures, are they?
• 13:23
  Speaker 1: Yeah?
• 13:24
Speaker 3: See, I would have thought more in the 60s, maybe 70s.
• 13:29
Speaker 2: Oh no, are they?
• 13:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, see, I'm gonna thought more in the like 60s, maybe 70s.
• 13:31
Speaker 2: Oh well, a restaurant.
• 13:31
Speaker 2: There's car shows every weekend.
• 13:32
Speaker 2: We announced there's so many that I see that I've got to whittle it down and pick only a few.
• 13:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, but there are.
• 13:37
Speaker 2: There are tens of, maybe there's probably 100 every weekend.
• 13:40
Speaker 2: San antonio, they're all over, like the guy told us last weekend.
• 13:45
Speaker 1: All these cars out here, every one of them for sale.
• 13:47
Speaker 1: At a certain point, yeah, yeah, because you know somebody came along and said hey, don, I'll give you $35,000 for that Corvette.
• 13:55
  Speaker 1: Bye-bye Corvette, I'd take $35,000 for it.
• 14:02
Speaker 2: I'm going to give you a.
• 14:03
Speaker 1: You're pretty close to that, I'm going to write a number down.
• 14:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's going to be wrong.
• 14:10
Speaker 1: All right, let's take a break and when we come back we're going to do Jeff's Motor Minute Yep, and I'm going to give you my review of the 2025 Lincoln Aviator.

• 17:56
Speaker 2: He is back in a video.
• 17:57
Speaker 2: He had a video with his daughters this past week.
• 18:01
Speaker 2: Excitement across drag racing continues.
• 18:03
Speaker 2: The legendary NHRA racer, john Force, was seen alongside of his daughter.
• 18:07
  Speaker 2: He's looking healthy.
• 18:09
Speaker 2: Forrest is a racer known for his remarkable 16 NHRA championships.
• 18:13
Speaker 2: He's been out of the limelight because of his accident, but this is back in June.
• 18:18
Speaker 2: But the recent appearance suggests he's making a strong progress to recovery and his journey back.
• 18:24
Speaker 2: So he's confirmed his intentions to return to the NHRA racing scene not the track, well, not the game, not in a car, but the scene, specifically attending the upcoming race in Las Vegas this weekend.
• 18:37
Speaker 2: So he'll be there.
• 18:38
Speaker 2: I'm sure there's going to be a lot of fanfare.
• 18:39
Speaker 2: I'm sure there's going to be a lot of tears shed.
• 18:41
  Speaker 2: Welcome back.
• 18:42
Speaker 2: A lot of hugs, a lot of patting on the back, all that good stuff.
• 18:44
Speaker 2: So welcome back, all that good stuff.
• 18:46
Speaker 2: So welcome back, mr Force.
• 18:47
  Speaker 2: We're a fan.
• 18:48
Speaker 1: And happy health, yeah, and he's continuing to recover from that traumatic brain injury.
• 18:53
  Speaker 1: Yep, yep, yep.
• 18:54
Speaker 1: Time now for this hour's car review.
• 18:56
Speaker 1: Yes, yours truly Don't ask me why, but the Ford Motor Company loaned me a 2025 Lincoln Aviator.
• 19:05
  Speaker 1: Yes, they did.
• 19:06
Speaker 1: I know everybody's in shock, but the Lincoln Aviator comes in these trim levels Premier, Reserve and Black Label.
• 19:18
Speaker 1: I, with my nose in the air, had the Black Label All-wheel drive.
• 19:24
Speaker 1: Two-wheel drive is standard, by the way, on the black label.
• 19:27
Speaker 1: No, all-wheel drive is standard.
• 19:31
Speaker 1: On the black label, Two-wheel drive is standard.
• 19:33
Speaker 1: When you get into the bottom line, when you premiere the model Midsize SUV six seats in three rows, okay, and it's actually pretty comfortable in there.
• 19:44
Speaker 1: Exterior changes from last model year.
• 19:46
Speaker 1: It was refreshed for 2025, so it's got all new stuff on it.
• 19:51
Speaker 1: It was all new in 2020.
• 19:54
Speaker 1: It's based on the Ford Explorer.
• 19:55
Speaker 1: Did you know that?
• 19:56
Speaker 1: I did not know that.
• 19:58
Speaker 3: It looks a lot bigger in the pictures.
• 19:59
  Speaker 1: I haven't seen one.
• 20:00
Speaker 1: Exterior features new attractive front end, including grille and headlights.
• 20:06
Speaker 1: Fairly straight body lines exude classy American luxury Colors.
• 20:13
Speaker 1: Include a flat finish, if that's what you want, gives it a modern flair.
• 20:17
Speaker 1: Quad exhaust tips, unique rear lighting and sunshade complete the good, modern look of this car.
• 20:27
Speaker 1: Wheel design is well, it goes along with the trim level that you get what I liked about it.
• 20:35
Speaker 1: The new infotainment system is new this year.
• 20:38
Speaker 1: The new Blue Cruise automated driving system is awesome.
• 20:43
Speaker 1: I used it on the Beltway and I'm going to work right.
• 20:46
Speaker 1: So it's got this around camera thing and all you do is just hit one button.
• 20:52
Speaker 1: Hands off, the screen turns blue and there you go and you watch the thing, go down the road, make the curves, and it works really well.
• 21:03
Speaker 1: They've come a long way with that.
• 21:05
Speaker 1: Now for me personally, I like to drive so, but I used it every morning.
• 21:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, try it out.
• 21:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, they told me to.
• 21:14
Speaker 1: Hey, don you got to try out that new blue cruise?
• 21:16
Speaker 3: okay I'm gonna drive this car with no hands yeah, interior highlights dash with shelf.
• 21:21
Speaker 1: Dash with shelf is a different look.
• 21:24
Speaker 1: It's attractive and it also has two screens on top.
• 21:28
Speaker 1: Detailed design elements are modern, classy.
• 21:32
Speaker 1: Controls are intuitive, infotainment is easy to understand and to navigate.
• 21:37
Speaker 1: Comfortable, deep buckets and supportive surfaces are top-notch, even in cloth.
• 21:44
Speaker 1: I didn't ride in the cloth, I had the leather, but I'll tell you what.
• 21:48
Speaker 1: The cloth looks really good, and they've come a long way with cloth in automobiles these days.
• 21:52
Speaker 1: Cargo room adequate, even with the third row up.
• 21:56
Speaker 1: What I liked about this?
• 21:57
  Speaker 1: Everything.
• 21:59
Speaker 1: What could use improvement.
• 22:00
Speaker 1: Combine the two screens into one.
• 22:02
Speaker 1: They did this on purpose.
• 22:04
Speaker 1: I don't know why, but you know, if you're going to redo it, I mean, let's make it one big screen Engine.
• 22:11
Speaker 1: It has a 3.0 liter V6 twin turbo.
• 22:14
Speaker 1: That turns out 400 horsepower, 415 pound-feet of torque, 10-speed automatic transmission.
• 22:21
Speaker 1: It'll tow up to 5,000 pounds.
• 22:23
Speaker 1: Now, mine was a pre-production model, so I don't have any numbers on it.
• 22:31
Speaker 1: I did a little research on it and so I came up with some numbers of my own.
• 22:33
Speaker 1: Now, as far as as mileage is concerned, I got 20.4 miles per gallon over 330.2 miles.
• 22:42
Speaker 1: What I liked about it?
• 22:43
  Speaker 1: Plenty of power.
• 22:44
Speaker 1: What could use improvement?
• 22:45
Speaker 1: Nothing Way to go forward.
• 22:47
Speaker 1: You've done a good job on your V6.
• 22:49
Speaker 1: Ride and handling, smooth and adjustable with the air glide suspension.
• 22:55
  Speaker 1: This is a top-notch SUV.
• 22:57
  Speaker 1: I'm telling you that's cool.
• 22:58
Speaker 1: What could use improvement?
• 22:59
  Speaker 1: Nothing.
• 22:59
Speaker 1: Now pricing Base trim price $87,480.
• 23:05
  Speaker 1: Prices tested $97,150.
• 23:08
Speaker 1: But it falls in line with others in that price point.
• 23:10
Speaker 1: Base model price you can get into one $58,495.
• 23:15
Speaker 1: And that competes against the BMW X5 for $65,700, the Acura MDX for $51,200, and the starting price of the Lexus TX, another competitor, $53,700.
• 23:30
Speaker 1: Wow, that's my review of the Lincoln Aviator Black Label.
• 23:37
  Speaker 2: It's a good-looking vehicle.
• 23:38
Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, it's nice.
• 23:39
Speaker 2: I hated to give that up.
• 23:42
Speaker 1: Couldn't you just let me have that for about a year?
• 23:44
  Speaker 1: Oh no.
• 23:45
Speaker 2: Give me a long-term review on this.
• 23:48
Speaker 2: It's at 3 or 36, so I'll have it for three more years yeah exactly, gosh, I like that, I like that thing.
• 23:56
Speaker 1: You know I'm not biased.
• 23:58
Speaker 1: I treat all of them the same and not quite sure exactly why anybody would think any differently about this vehicle.
• 24:08
Speaker 1: It's really really nice, okay, yep, got it, got it, get it, get it, got it.
• 24:14
Speaker 1: We've got enough news stories here.
• 24:16
Speaker 1: I don't I want to give a couple of more while I have just a couple of minutes here, is that okay?
• 24:20
  Speaker 3: Yep, yes, sir.
• 24:22
Speaker 1: This is a Texas story, again from Automotive News.
• 24:24
Speaker 1: A Texas man says he was ticketed while test driving a pickup truck because the dealership didn't attach a temporary license plate to the vehicle.
• 24:33
Speaker 1: Daniel Rocha told Dallas TV station WFAA that the police officer who pulled him over wasn't willing to overlook the issue, even though the missing plate wasn't Rocha's fault.
• 24:44
Speaker 1: Quote he said this has been ongoing with these dealers.
• 24:49
Speaker 1: Rocha said We've been getting on these guys for doing that, the officer said.
• 24:53
Speaker 1: He said in order for us to make the dealership abide, we're going to start citing the customers.
• 24:59
Speaker 1: Oh no, use you.
• 25:03
Speaker 1: The dealership where Rocha was shopping, longo Toyota of Prosper Texas I guess it's up there in the Dallas-Fort Worth area Told WFAA that it was the first time a customer had been ticketed for no license plate.
• 25:15
Speaker 1: Safety is a top priority at Longo Toyota of Prosper and we are dedicated to providing a secure environment for everyone.
• 25:23
Speaker 1: The store statement said Our community is very important to us and we've been active supporters since we opened nearly eight years ago.

• 25:43
Speaker 1: Our team is dedicated to the well-being of our guests and the community we serve.
• 25:47
Speaker 1: Well, if that's the case, why don't you put a paper plate on the dang thing and you wouldn't get stuck?
• 25:51
Speaker 1: Rocha said long ago Toyota offered to reimburse him the $240 for the ticket $240?
• 25:58
Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's not going to help your insurance or anything else.
• 26:01
Speaker 3: Yeah, how do you To reimburse him?
• 26:02
Speaker 1: $240 for the ticket, after first discounting the vehicle by that amount.
• 26:07
Speaker 1: Though the dealership denied doing so, he didn't buy the pickup.
• 26:10
Speaker 1: It doesn't upset me that I'm in the middle of this feud that's going on.
• 26:17
  Speaker 1: Rocha told WFAA.
• 26:18
Speaker 1: Many middle-income Americans are hesitant to buy a car until this is a different story until interest rates or vehicle prices come down.
• 26:24
Speaker 1: According to a survey from Santander Holdings, the lender, based in Dallas, in August surveyed nearly 2,200 Americans who make about $50,000 to $148,000 a year.
• 26:37
Speaker 1: 30% of respondents in the quarterly Santander US Paths to Prosperity survey said they were likely to take out an auto loan if rates came down and 43% said they would be more likely to purchase a vehicle if prices decreased.
• 26:51
Speaker 1: What are you doing over there?
• 26:53
Speaker 2: We lost something, but go ahead, you're good.
• 26:55
Speaker 2: Well, you want me to help?
• 26:58

• 26:58

• 26:59
Speaker 1: But go ahead, you're good.
• 27:00
Speaker 1: Well, you want me to help you find it?
• 27:02
Speaker 1: Nope, we're good, all right.
• 27:02
Speaker 1: Federal reserve announced a 0.5 percent cut to its benchmark rate september 18th, which experts believe will bring auto loan interest rates down.
• 27:09
Speaker 1: But it will likely take some time for potential car buyers to feel any meaningful effects of the rate cuts.
• 27:14
Speaker 1: And betty jot jatanovic Jatanovic, we just call her Betty Betty, president of Santander Consumer.
• 27:24
Speaker 1: Betty Boop yeah, middle-income Americans concerned about inflation and high prices.
• 27:30

• 27:41
Speaker 1: New car prices Average $40,000.
