Najah: Everybody was cool with you loving the wrong person too long. Telling you to stick it out, give it more time, keep trying. Oh and everybody was quiet through your suffering while you were staying somewhere you was unhappy. But now you love the right person too fast. Suddenly everybody got something to say. Oh nooo Go back to being quiet. Cause how you have patience for my pain? But now you got urgency about my joy. Ugh the nerve. Y'all let me sit there looking goofy. Loving the wrong person for too long. Now I'm smiling, glowing, happy and safe. And you think I look goofy loving the right person too fast? Nah. might be looking goofy with all this smelling and giggling I got going on now all the time. But baby ain't nothing goofy about my peace and my joy. So no, I'm not shrinking my happiness. Slowing down my heart or acting less in love. Just so I could look reasonable to people who were perfectly comfortable watching me be unhappy. I'm good over here. Real good.
