- 0:22Speaker 2: One day at a time.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Put your problems to the side.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Enjoy yourself.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Freeze your mind.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Welcome back to Kicking It With Kiki, Life, Love, and Mindset.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Here we have real conversations about the experiences that shape us,
- 0:49Speaker 2: the love that connects us, and the mindset that helps
- 0:52Speaker 2: us become who we were created to be. I am
- 0:54Speaker 2: your host, Kiki. You guys know who I am. But
- 0:58Speaker 2: sitting next to me is someone who is new to
- 1:00Speaker 2: the podcast, and I am going to do like I
- 1:04Speaker 2: always do, give her the opportunity to introduce herself, my Keisha.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Thank you for coming to kick it with me today.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Thank you for having me. So as you all know,
- 1:15Speaker 3: I'm my Keisha, but I go by Isha Girl Keisha
- 1:18Speaker 3: on most of the things that I do. I'm a
- 1:22Speaker 3: true Christ girl, Christian at heart, God's daughter, whoop. My mission,
- 1:29Speaker 3: my goal is to draw all men to Christ. So
- 1:32Speaker 3: I do it through the gifts that he has given me.
- 1:35Speaker 3: And they are plenty. Thank God. He trusted me with
- 1:40Speaker 3: these gifts. So I'm like, okay, let me just go
- 1:42Speaker 3: for a minute. I am the lead creative of Crown
- 1:45Speaker 3: and Authentic, an apparel brand that I came out with
- 1:49Speaker 3: about a year ago. It is faith-based messages on apparel.
- 1:56Speaker 3: And just to inspire, motivate, and encourage that woman of God.
- 1:59Speaker 3: I am also the podcast host of the Cooler Today podcast.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I took a little break for the summer, but we're
- 2:07Speaker 3: going to get right back into it coming up into
- 2:10Speaker 3: the fall. And in that podcast, we talk about Christ
- 2:14Speaker 3: in real life. We talk about struggles. We talk about
- 2:18Speaker 3: breaking throughs. We talk about all types of stuff. The
- 2:23Speaker 3: last season that I had, I had guests on. But
- 2:26Speaker 3: this season, it's just going to be me and God, y'all.
- 2:28Speaker 3: We're going back to the garden. So that's what it's called,
- 2:32Speaker 3: back to the garden with God. And so now I
- 2:37Speaker 3: am a host and curator of the Cooler Today content
- 2:41Speaker 3: creation workshop just headed in July. It was awesome. It
- 2:46Speaker 3: was awesome. It was in person and online. So I'm
- 2:49Speaker 3: taking like a little break from that because let me
- 2:53Speaker 3: tell y'all, that was not easy to curate and host.
- 2:57Speaker 3: But I'm so grateful for my team that was with me.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Moving on, I am going to be in a pageant.
- 3:06Speaker 3: So that's a thing now. So I'm running for, I'm
- 3:11Speaker 3: in a pageant called The Legacy Pageant, and it's right
- 3:14Speaker 3: here in Beaufort, South Carolina. I'm a mom of two beautiful,
- 3:18Speaker 3: gorgeous girls who also are true believers in Christ. They're
- 3:23Speaker 3: eight and five years old, and they are on fire
- 3:25Speaker 3: for the Lord. Yeah, I am, I'm peculiar. I am,
- 3:29Speaker 3: I'm resilient. I am.
- 3:35Speaker 3: I love her. I love to sing. I love to dance.
- 3:38Speaker 3: I love to be me. And I don't care what
- 3:40Speaker 3: nobody say. But I am humbled as well. So, yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Listen. I love that. And the smile and the energy
- 3:50Speaker 2: is amazing. You got me up here smiling because I
- 3:53Speaker 2: love when guests introduce themselves, talk unapologetically about who they
- 3:58Speaker 2: are and what they do. And I love that you
- 4:00Speaker 2: are faith based. So am I. And we're going to
- 4:03Speaker 2: get into it. So we're starting off with the mindset moment. Now,
- 4:06Speaker 2: just ask them questions about life, love and mindset. And
- 4:10Speaker 2: then you just let it flow. OK. OK.
- 4:13Speaker 3: All right.
- 4:14Speaker 2: All right, you know we have to start with mindset
- 4:16Speaker 2: because before we can change anything around us, something usually
- 4:19Speaker 2: has to shift within us. Was there ever a season
- 4:23Speaker 2: when you knew you were called to something greater, but
- 4:27Speaker 2: your mindset hadn't quite caught up with your purpose yet?
- 4:32Speaker 2: What helped you make that shift?
- 4:34Speaker 3: Yes, there was plenty of seasons where I knew I
- 4:40Speaker 3: was called, but my mindset hadn't. height transition yet. And
- 4:45Speaker 3: I would say because I had a lot of baggage
- 4:49Speaker 3: with me. I had a lot of distractions as well.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Didn't know that they were distractions. It was during a
- 4:56Speaker 3: season where I was in a relationship and I thought
- 5:00Speaker 3: that I could carry this person with me, but that
- 5:02Speaker 3: wasn't my job. God said that was not my role,
- 5:06Speaker 3: that I was never meant to carry someone else's luggage.
- 5:11Speaker 3: So I, God gave me a dream. I was just
- 5:15Speaker 3: talking about this earlier with a friend of mine. God
- 5:17Speaker 3: gave me a dream. And in that dream, I was
- 5:20Speaker 3: running ahead as if I was running track. And that
- 5:24Speaker 3: person was like behind me and I had a baton
- 5:26Speaker 3: in my hand and he kept dropping the baton. And
- 5:30Speaker 3: God was showing me that you see how far behind
- 5:34Speaker 3: he is. Not saying that God would never heal him
- 5:38Speaker 3: or deliver him. It's just that I was on a
- 5:40Speaker 3: different path. I'm too far ahead. I have too far
- 5:45Speaker 3: ahead of me and I want more. You know what
- 5:48Speaker 3: I'm saying? And I want God and I want that relationship.
- 5:52Speaker 3: God said in order for me to get ahead, I
- 5:56Speaker 3: had to lose some things. So that was one of
- 6:00Speaker 3: the things that was the biggest thing that was on
- 6:02Speaker 3: me that I had to lose. And when I did
- 6:06Speaker 3: that and truly was just done. God just was like,
- 6:10Speaker 3: I mean, this was last year. God just was like
- 6:12Speaker 3: blessing me on top of blessing on top of blessing.
- 6:14Speaker 3: And it's because I just like a like a veil
- 6:17Speaker 3: like ripped in front of me or something like my
- 6:19Speaker 3: spiritual eyes started to open more. I was praying more,
- 6:22Speaker 3: fasting more. And I just was being still more. And
- 6:27Speaker 3: I was able to focus and just be in God's presence.
- 6:32Speaker 3: And me and God was it just was building our
- 6:34Speaker 3: relationship like he was. He was just showing me just
- 6:38Speaker 3: how much he loved me. And I didn't have to
- 6:40Speaker 3: be in a relationship for that to be validated.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I love that. It's going to get deep, y'all. It
- 6:48Speaker 2: is really going to get deep. And I love that
- 6:51Speaker 2: you talk about the baton because, you know, you watch
- 6:54Speaker 2: these track meets and Olympics and everything. And when you're
- 6:56Speaker 2: running a relay race and you pass the baton, what
- 6:59Speaker 2: happens when your partner drops or your teammate drops it?
- 7:03Speaker 3: Yeah, you're both.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Yeah. The whole team, not just you. Everybody is disqualified.
- 7:09Speaker 2: So thank you for being transparent. Of course. We're going
- 7:14Speaker 2: to move into life a little bit. When you look
- 7:17Speaker 2: at the woman you are today compared to the woman
- 7:19Speaker 2: you were several years ago, what life experience do you
- 7:23Speaker 2: believe changed you the most?
- 7:25Speaker 3: The life experience that changed me the most. The woman
- 7:29Speaker 3: I was before me. She was loud on the outside,
- 7:35Speaker 3: but very scared on the inside. The woman I was
- 7:41Speaker 3: before was beautiful looking on the outside, meaning like material
- 7:47Speaker 3: things and hair was done. I was supposed to talk
- 7:50Speaker 3: about this like five minutes ago. But the woman on
- 7:53Speaker 3: the inside was very depressed. I was people pleasing, all
- 7:57Speaker 3: that stuff like. I had so much anxiety. Didn't know
- 8:01Speaker 3: I was living with that. Didn't even know what anxiety was.
- 8:03Speaker 3: I was having panic attacks. Didn't even know what that was.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I didn't know how to speak up for myself. I
- 8:08Speaker 3: would allow family to talk over me, talk like completely
- 8:12Speaker 3: bad to me and didn't know how to communicate effectively.
- 8:17Speaker 3: The woman I was before, she was an alcoholic, smoked
- 8:25Speaker 3: marijuana to numb all that pain. And thought that that
- 8:29Speaker 3: was helping, but it wasn't. It was only making things worse.
- 8:34Speaker 3: And so God allowed me to go through a season
- 8:37Speaker 3: where he had to literally strip all that away from me.
- 8:43Speaker 3: And I had to go through almost like a wash. Yeah,
- 8:47Speaker 3: it was like it was a wash, a wash and
- 8:50Speaker 3: clean season. And so sometimes when God puts you through
- 8:53Speaker 3: that wash and clean season, it will look like pain.
- 8:58Speaker 3: it will look like he's not there it will look
- 9:01Speaker 3: like all hell has broken loose and it may have
- 9:06Speaker 3: it may have but he allowed me to go go
- 9:09Speaker 3: through that season of almost losing my mind but showing
- 9:12Speaker 3: me that he was still there yes and how he
- 9:18Speaker 3: continued to love me and wrap me in his arms
- 9:21Speaker 3: when others were walking away Literally, people were walking away
- 9:27Speaker 3: from me that I thought would be by my side.
- 9:31Speaker 3: And so I'm going through this season and I'm gaining empathy.
- 9:34Speaker 3: I'm gaining sympathy. I'm gaining more of a reverence and
- 9:40Speaker 3: fear of the Lord. And so coming out of that season,
- 9:44Speaker 3: I still thought I knew it all.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Like most of us.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Yes, because I'm thinking, oh, I was sitting with the
- 9:52Speaker 3: Lord and he done healed me and shown me all
- 9:55Speaker 3: these people. And God had to humble me once again.
- 9:57Speaker 2: And so.
- 9:59Speaker 3: I wasn't healed all the way. And I was trying
- 10:02Speaker 3: to walk into something and I wasn't healed all the way.
- 10:06Speaker 3: But I thought I was. And so I went back
- 10:10Speaker 3: to the same person that I left. And then it
- 10:14Speaker 3: got seven times worse. And before I can even go
- 10:18Speaker 3: back fully into the person that I was before, meaning
- 10:23Speaker 3: I had relapsed on smoking marijuana like twice after God
- 10:28Speaker 3: had already healed me and delivered me from that. I
- 10:32Speaker 3: remember hearing something that even though God delivers you for something,
- 10:35Speaker 3: that doesn't mean that you're not going to go back
- 10:38Speaker 3: to it. Because sometimes you can go back to it.
- 10:41Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? And so I went back.
- 10:45Speaker 3: and twice and then God showed me like it was
- 10:48Speaker 3: like worse I said this man I'm smoking this time
- 10:51Speaker 3: it's not the same as last like I mean I
- 10:55Speaker 3: was going through so much I was like felt like
- 10:57Speaker 3: I was having heart attacks I was feeling like like
- 11:00Speaker 3: like like I was being attacked spiritually and all it
- 11:02Speaker 3: was was that I literally picked back up that bag
- 11:07Speaker 3: yeah that God never.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Told me to pick up yeah And that's the important
- 11:13Speaker 2: thing that we have to understand. When God takes that
- 11:17Speaker 2: bag away from us, stop picking it up. Or when
- 11:23Speaker 2: you give something to God, leave it there.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Yeah. And it's easy said and done. I tell you,
- 11:30Speaker 3: it's easy said and done. But at the same time,
- 11:34Speaker 3: God understands that. And he has mercy and he has grace.
- 11:38Speaker 3: That's why he says grace is sufficient. And his mercy
- 11:41Speaker 3: endures forever because he knows that we don't fully know. Right.
- 11:46Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? He knows that. Just like
- 11:48Speaker 3: with Jesus, when he was on the cross, before he
- 11:50Speaker 3: got on the cross, he said, Lord, forgive them for
- 11:52Speaker 3: they do not know what they do. They thought they did.
- 11:56Speaker 3: They thought they was doing the right thing, these religious people.
- 12:01Speaker 3: But they had no clue of what they were doing.
- 12:03Speaker 3: If they had known truly what they were doing, Jesus
- 12:06Speaker 3: would still be here today.
- 12:08Speaker 2: But they gave him opportunity. Jesus gave them opportunity to
- 12:11Speaker 2: know and they didn't want to. Their mindset was closed off.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Right. My ears were closed to the Lord. I thought
- 12:19Speaker 3: it was open, but it was closed. And he literally
- 12:22Speaker 3: like if it wasn't for the prayers of the righteous
- 12:26Speaker 3: people that, you know, if God hadn't sent me around
- 12:29Speaker 3: my church family before me going into that season, I
- 12:34Speaker 3: don't know. I don't know if I would be here.
- 12:37Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? Because even though I was,
- 12:39Speaker 3: I said that I was alone and people walked away,
- 12:41Speaker 3: I still kept hearing the prayers of the righteous. I
- 12:44Speaker 3: still kept like, I knew people were praying for me.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Even though I was being that prodigal son, I knew
- 12:50Speaker 3: people were still praying for me and helping me, you know,
- 12:54Speaker 3: in a way, like through prayers, I felt it. I
- 12:56Speaker 3: was in the spirit and I was feeling it. And
- 12:59Speaker 3: I was like, wow. And I was seeing, I was
- 13:01Speaker 3: being shown faces of people who were praying for me
- 13:03Speaker 3: and I was hearing the voices and, And I'm like, oh,
- 13:06Speaker 3: my God. You know, so I tell you this. I
- 13:09Speaker 3: remember I said this on someone else's podcast. I remember
- 13:13Speaker 3: reading a scripture about the church praying for I think
- 13:17Speaker 3: it was Peter or Paul. And I still ain't looking
- 13:19Speaker 3: to see who it was for real. And he was
- 13:21Speaker 3: in jail for something that he that wasn't even bad.
- 13:25Speaker 3: You know, it was nothing that he did that was wrong.
- 13:27Speaker 3: They just put him in jail because he was spreading
- 13:29Speaker 3: the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- 13:30Speaker 2: And so.
- 13:33Speaker 3: They literally prayed him out of jail, not going in.
- 13:36Speaker 3: He had to go to court. He had none of that.
- 13:38Speaker 3: The angel of the Lord came and took him out
- 13:42Speaker 3: of jail and placed him on the street. He didn't
- 13:45Speaker 3: even realize it until he was on the streets. I'm free. Yeah.
- 13:49Speaker 3: That's exactly what happened to me when I was about
- 13:51Speaker 3: to lose my mind. I heard the prayers of the
- 13:53Speaker 3: righteous as if the whole church was praying for me.
- 13:57Speaker 3: And I tell people all the time, prayer works.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Yes, it does.
- 14:01Speaker 3: I would never lose my faith because I know prayer works.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely. It's a beautiful thing when you know you know.
- 14:12Speaker 2: It's amazing to feel. I'm more intentional about when God
- 14:16Speaker 2: put people in my spirit to pray for them because
- 14:18Speaker 2: you never know what they're going for, what they're crying
- 14:21Speaker 2: out for. And intercession is real. Because I did have
- 14:24Speaker 2: a very close friend and she's like a sister to
- 14:26Speaker 2: me to this day. When I was walking in my
- 14:28Speaker 2: darkest season, she said she was always led to go
- 14:31Speaker 2: to the altar. She didn't know why. And when I
- 14:33Speaker 2: shared to her my story, she was like, wow, I
- 14:37Speaker 2: was standing in the gap for you. So I thank
- 14:39Speaker 2: God for her obedience. I thank God for her knowing
- 14:42Speaker 2: God for herself and having a relationship with him to
- 14:46Speaker 2: hear the voice of God say, go stand in the
- 14:47Speaker 2: gap for Kiki. She needs you right now. Yeah. Yeah.
- 14:51Speaker 2: We can go on and on about God, y'all, because
- 14:53Speaker 2: God is good. You can't tell me nothing else. If
- 14:56Speaker 2: you don't know, I'm sorry. I don't know what to say.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:01Speaker 2: That's all I can say.
- 15:02Speaker 3: That's it. That's it. He wants a relationship with you.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Be right there. Absolutely. Okay. So we're moving to
- 15:10Speaker 2: love because we've talked about the mindset. We've talked about life.
- 15:12Speaker 2: We're going to talk about love. You encourage women to
- 15:16Speaker 2: recognize that they are brave, bold, and beautifully created. What
- 15:20Speaker 2: did your own journey of learning to love and accept
- 15:24Speaker 2: my Keisha look like?
- 15:26Speaker 3: I would say I would talk about me working out.
- 15:28Speaker 3: So this would be 52 weeks of me working out
- 15:32Speaker 3: one year. Thank God. So God be the glory. But
- 15:35Speaker 3: if it wasn't for my like obedience to like I
- 15:38Speaker 3: wouldn't I wouldn't have stuck with it. I was just
- 15:41Speaker 3: obedient to God. You know, I wouldn't have stuck with it.
- 15:45Speaker 3: In that process, I was learning to love myself because.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I would say, yeah, I love myself. Yeah, but I
- 15:54Speaker 3: barely look at myself in the mirror. You know what
- 15:57Speaker 3: I'm saying? When I look in the mirror, I'm always
- 16:00Speaker 3: looking at my stomach. Or I'm always looking at my fat,
- 16:03Speaker 3: my rolls, or my jiggly arms. And I would never
- 16:08Speaker 3: look at the beauty of me. You know what I'm saying?
- 16:11Speaker 3: Who God created me to be. I'm more than my body.
- 16:16Speaker 3: I'm more than how much I weigh. And I would
- 16:19Speaker 3: say this to anyone. They're like, you're more than that.
- 16:22Speaker 3: You have to look at the little girl that's in
- 16:25Speaker 3: you or the little boy that's in you. And I
- 16:28Speaker 3: had to speak to that child in me, that little
- 16:33Speaker 3: girl who was still lost. I'm like, okay, so what's wrong?
- 16:40Speaker 3: I'm talking to myself, but I'm talking to the child
- 16:44Speaker 3: in me. And I had to look at myself in
- 16:46Speaker 3: the mirror. And I'm like, what's wrong, baby? Literally talking
- 16:52Speaker 3: to myself. Because my mama didn't used to talk to
- 16:54Speaker 3: me like this. My daddy didn't used to talk to
- 16:57Speaker 3: me like this. So it was almost like I had
- 17:00Speaker 3: to kind of be the parent to myself. You get
- 17:04Speaker 3: what I'm saying? And I'm looking at myself in the mirror,
- 17:08Speaker 3: eye to eye. And I'm looking at that little girl
- 17:10Speaker 3: that's sold. I said, what's wrong? Why don't you love yourself?
- 17:17Speaker 3: Look at that beautiful smile that brightens up a room.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Look at you. You're gorgeous. That weight going to drop
- 17:26Speaker 3: off you. Don't worry about that. Yeah. Don't worry about that.
- 17:36Speaker 2: When you do that inner work, especially with healing the
- 17:39Speaker 2: inner child, it is life changing.
- 17:42Speaker 3: It's been there.
- 17:43Speaker 2: So I get it. And I try not to get
- 17:46Speaker 2: emotional when you talk to you like that. But it's
- 17:49Speaker 2: like some of the same stuff that you did. I'd
- 17:52Speaker 2: have to go through that, too. And once you embrace
- 17:56Speaker 2: the things that you find as flaws, other people might
- 18:01Speaker 2: love them and it might tell you that. But until
- 18:04Speaker 2: you can recognize them as beauty, beauty marks, as I
- 18:08Speaker 2: call them. It won't matter until you do that work.
- 18:12Speaker 2: You have to do that inner child work. Oh my God.
- 18:14Speaker 2: I didn't, I knew this was going to be a
- 18:17Speaker 2: great conversation, but I didn't know it was going to
- 18:19Speaker 2: go like this. So thank you guys. But that's amazing.
- 18:23Speaker 2: So we're going to move into faith and mindset and
- 18:25Speaker 2: have a question that I want to ask you about that.
- 18:27Speaker 2: So you describe yourself as a faith driven storyteller. How
- 18:31Speaker 2: has your faith influenced the way you think when life
- 18:34Speaker 2: doesn't look the way you pray for it to be?
- 18:40Speaker 3: God keeps telling me, be still and know that I
- 18:41Speaker 3: am God. It's that child he talked to. Be still
- 18:46Speaker 3: and know that I am God. It's almost like my kids,
- 18:49Speaker 3: they come to me like, mommy, can I have this? Mommy,
- 18:53Speaker 3: you said I could have that. But mommy, mommy. And
- 18:56Speaker 3: I'm like, hold on.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I'm coming.
- 19:01Speaker 3: I'm working it out. I'm handling some things. So be still.
- 19:09Speaker 3: and that's exactly God teaches me through my children too
- 19:12Speaker 3: because the same thing that I do with my children
- 19:16Speaker 3: God does with me you know what I'm saying and
- 19:20Speaker 3: so that's how my faith increases in God I learned
- 19:26Speaker 3: how to whenever that child in me is getting agitated or,
- 19:33Speaker 3: you know, like, okay.
- 19:34Speaker 2: I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm ready.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Where you going, Lino? Okay. He's like, the H is
- 19:42Speaker 3: for nothing.
- 19:44Speaker 2: I love that.
- 19:47Speaker 3: The H is for nothing.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Peace.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Or he'll place a warmness on my heart. The H
- 19:55Speaker 3: is for nothing.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Right. I'm going to be looking for that. I think
- 20:02Speaker 2: that I have that, but I didn't know what it was,
- 20:04Speaker 2: but I'm going to be looking for that, that sensation,
- 20:06Speaker 2: that warmness right there. Cause I've had, I love it.
- 20:11Speaker 3: It is. It's like, it's like when your friend is near,
- 20:16Speaker 3: you know, he warms your heart. Whenever a friend is
- 20:19Speaker 3: near a true friend, they warm your heart.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Yes. Yes.
- 20:24Speaker 3: And you may not even know that they're your friend yet,
- 20:28Speaker 3: but they warm your heart.
- 20:30Speaker 2: I love that.
- 20:31Speaker 3: And that's how I know when I'm meeting someone and
- 20:33Speaker 3: they have Christ in them. And I don't even know you,
- 20:37Speaker 3: but you're warm in my heart. You know what I'm saying?
- 20:41Speaker 2: Same. Yeah.
- 20:43Speaker 3: That's true friend that's in us.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Exactly. Exactly. Wow. You guys are listening to another episode
- 20:51Speaker 2: of Kicking It With Kiki, a life-loving mindset. I am
- 20:54Speaker 2: joined with the beautiful Mykeisha and we're going to move
- 20:57Speaker 2: into the the next segment of the podcast, which is
- 21:00Speaker 2: called the Reality Check. Now, this is where we go
- 21:03Speaker 2: a little deeper because sometimes the person people see today
- 21:06Speaker 2: was built through experiences that they know absolutely nothing about.
- 21:10Speaker 2: And you've been very transparent about some of the things
- 21:13Speaker 2: that you've experienced in life. You talk about creating spaces
- 21:16Speaker 2: where people feel seen and understood. Was there ever a
- 21:21Speaker 2: season in your own life when you didn't feel seen?
- 21:24Speaker 2: How did that experience shape the way you show up
- 21:28Speaker 2: for others today?
- 21:31Speaker 3: Yes, there have been plenty. So I'm trying to think
- 21:34Speaker 3: of which one where I didn't feel seen. I keep
- 21:40Speaker 3: thinking about the time when I was homeless. I keep
- 21:48Speaker 3: thinking about that time. Because I knew God was with me,
- 21:56Speaker 3: but I didn't feel seen by others, if that makes sense.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Community. I didn't feel that I had that at that time.
- 22:11Speaker 3: And mind you, I didn't go to church like that
- 22:16Speaker 3: during that time because I was embarrassed. And I was ashamed.
- 22:28Speaker 3: It was hitting heavy on me. And so I would
- 22:32Speaker 3: stay home and watch service. Or I would, not home,
- 22:36Speaker 3: but I would be out in the park watching service.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Or if I had time, because I was like door
- 22:40Speaker 3: dashing during that time too. But yeah, I would say
- 22:45Speaker 3: during that time, I didn't feel seen. I wish, I
- 22:49Speaker 3: wanted someone to check on me.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Right.
- 22:53Speaker 3: I wanted someone to reach out. And I felt like
- 22:57Speaker 3: I burned bridges. I don't know why, but I felt
- 22:59Speaker 3: like I had burned some bridges too. Because of that
- 23:02Speaker 3: process of God delivering me and healing me, I still
- 23:10Speaker 3: felt a cutting tongue, if that makes sense. Where I
- 23:16Speaker 3: kind of was not truly there all the way yet.
- 23:22Speaker 3: And maybe it was God just protecting me and protecting
- 23:26Speaker 3: others too, you know, because they didn't truly fully know
- 23:31Speaker 3: what was going on with me.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Right. And so I think sometimes isolation isn't meant to
- 23:37Speaker 2: make us feel like we don't have anybody, but it's
- 23:40Speaker 2: the form of protection.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. I think so.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Did I answer your question? You did.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Okay.
- 23:48Speaker 2: You absolutely did. When did you realize your story wasn't
- 23:52Speaker 2: something you needed to hide from, but something you could
- 23:55Speaker 2: actually use to help someone else?
- 24:05Speaker 3: When I stopped caring about what people would think, I
- 24:09Speaker 3: just got sick and tired of being sick and tired.
- 24:13Speaker 3: I got sick and tired of looking at lies and
- 24:16Speaker 3: looking at unauthentic people and I just was like, I'm
- 24:22Speaker 3: not going to wait until the perfect moment. There's no
- 24:27Speaker 3: such thing, right? Yeah, there's no such thing. God was
- 24:30Speaker 3: just calling me to do it. I've seen people, women
- 24:34Speaker 3: on my timeline, talking about the most depressive stuff. And
- 24:40Speaker 3: I never was like that. I never talked like that,
- 24:43Speaker 3: even when I was going through all that. I just
- 24:47Speaker 3: felt like that was just... For me, like, wanting attention
- 24:55Speaker 3: at the same time. Not saying all of it was,
- 25:00Speaker 3: but at the same time, I think it was them, like,
- 25:03Speaker 3: trying to call out to people instead of calling out
- 25:06Speaker 3: to God.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Listen, I don't even know what to say after what
- 25:13Speaker 2: you just said.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Trying to call out to people instead of calling
- 25:21Speaker 2: out to God.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Yeah. With that same energy. Yeah.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Same energy.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Same energy. God said, come to me as you are.
- 25:29Speaker 3: He don't care if you're mad, upset, whatever. Come to
- 25:34Speaker 3: me as you are. And I did. I just went
- 25:37Speaker 3: to God. I'm mad. I'm tired, God. I'm upset. I
- 25:45Speaker 3: don't hate you. But I'm mad. I'm upset.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Right.
- 25:51Speaker 3: I'm tired. What am I doing? What do I need
- 25:55Speaker 3: to do?
- 25:56Speaker 2: And he would answer. He would answer. You have to
- 26:02Speaker 2: just be sincere in your approach and he would answer.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Yes.
- 26:08Speaker 2: And prayer is only having a conversation with God, like
- 26:11Speaker 2: talking to God.
- 26:12Speaker 3: That's it. People think you need to like You know,
- 26:16Speaker 3: do all this fancy stuff.
- 26:17Speaker 2: No.
- 26:18Speaker 3: God can't see through all of that. You're like, all right,
- 26:21Speaker 3: let's get to the root.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Right. Exactly.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Come to my throne boldly. Let's get to the root.
- 26:28Speaker 3: I don't care all that you're trying to put a
- 26:31Speaker 3: boat on top of the thing.
- 26:33Speaker 2: No.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Let's rip it. Let's get to the root of the issue.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Exactly. I love you more and you're ugly. Yeah. That
- 26:43Speaker 2: is God. I had to realize that. God don't care
- 26:48Speaker 2: about all of the outside. I mean, yeah, you want
- 26:52Speaker 2: to make sure that you look presentable and people to
- 26:55Speaker 2: see your light. But he wants you not when everything
- 26:59Speaker 2: is good. Like, come to me all the time. Yes, God. Yeah.
- 27:04Speaker 3: He wants you like that so he can get the glory.
- 27:07Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? That's how you draw all
- 27:10Speaker 3: men unto God, through your testimony. Because you can only say,
- 27:13Speaker 3: but God did that for me. That's it.
- 27:17Speaker 2: That's a beautiful thing. That is a beautiful thing. Because
- 27:25Speaker 2: otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation because neither one
- 27:28Speaker 2: of us would probably be here right now. No. Yeah.
- 27:32Speaker 2: So that's a good segue into your clothing brand, your
- 27:36Speaker 2: apparel brand. And you named it crowned and authentic. What
- 27:43Speaker 2: inspired the name?
- 27:45Speaker 3: So it was inspired by me feeling so insecure. And
- 27:52Speaker 3: God said, you're crowned. I've crowned you. You're chosen. You're
- 27:59Speaker 3: a priest. You have priesthood. You're peculiar. You have authority
- 28:07Speaker 3: and power that I give you. Use it.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Use it.
- 28:15Speaker 3: And you're authentic. The authentic comes from the creating something
- 28:21Speaker 3: out of nothing. It is telling your story, like you said,
- 28:28Speaker 3: unapologetically and just not going around the bush, but going
- 28:36Speaker 3: straight through. Right. No matter if you get scratches and
- 28:40Speaker 3: tone up, all this stuff. No, you're going to hear Everything.
- 28:44Speaker 3: The knitted to the gritty.
- 28:47Speaker 2: There you go. Haven't heard that in a long time.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Yes, we're not throwing nothing under the rug because for
- 28:52Speaker 3: too long, this has been happening generation after generation. And
- 28:55Speaker 3: God has been showing me the patterns of how family
- 28:59Speaker 3: and mom and daddy and grandma, they do so much
- 29:03Speaker 3: stuff under the rug. Every time something happens, it's being
- 29:06Speaker 3: thrown under the rug. And God's like, no, that stops
- 29:09Speaker 3: with you. You're going to be the disruptor in your family.
- 29:14Speaker 3: So let's disrupt some systems.
- 29:16Speaker 2: All of them. All of them. All of them. All
- 29:20Speaker 2: of them. Yes.
- 29:22Speaker 3: All of them.
- 29:23Speaker 2: So if anyone that's listening would like to be a
- 29:26Speaker 2: supporter of your brand or purchase something, how would they
- 29:30Speaker 2: go about doing that?
- 29:32Speaker 3: So right now, my website is under construction, but definitely
- 29:35Speaker 3: reach out to me um at mykeisha wolf on instagram
- 29:39Speaker 3: we'll go from there we'll go from there but um
- 29:43Speaker 3: no big deal no big deal but it is under
- 29:47Speaker 3: construction or come meet me at some of the vendor
- 29:50Speaker 3: events uh we post um our vendor events on um
- 29:54Speaker 3: the crown and authentic page on instagram So just follow
- 29:58Speaker 3: us on Instagram, check us out, and you'll see where
- 30:03Speaker 3: we're going to be headed next. Maybe your city, never know.
- 30:08Speaker 2: I love it. So we're moving into the action step,
- 30:10Speaker 2: turning inspiration into transformation. I always want people listening to
- 30:15Speaker 2: take something that they can use every day that will
- 30:19Speaker 2: inspire them and motivate them to help experience that mindset
- 30:24Speaker 2: shift in life and love. For the person listening, Who
- 30:28Speaker 2: knows they are being called into a new chapter, but
- 30:32Speaker 2: is afraid to leave what feels familiar. What is one
- 30:36Speaker 2: step that they can take today?
- 30:39Speaker 3: Pray about everything. And if you don't know how to pray,
- 30:44Speaker 3: just say, God help me. In Jesus name, amen.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Amen.
- 30:50Speaker 3: And I want to say, make it a consistent thing
- 30:56Speaker 3: to go before God. morning and night in the word
- 30:59Speaker 3: of God in Joshua 1 God talks about reading this
- 31:04Speaker 3: book of instruction meditating not just reading but meditating on
- 31:12Speaker 3: this book the Bible of instruction day and night so
- 31:19Speaker 3: that you can make your way prosperous so you can
- 31:24Speaker 3: do everything it tells you to do And then that
- 31:27Speaker 3: you will make your way prosperous. And so even when
- 31:31Speaker 3: it may seem like things are not moving, know that
- 31:35Speaker 3: God is always moving and that he's working something out
- 31:38Speaker 3: in your favor and that he's protecting you from some
- 31:41Speaker 3: things in the spirit and probably in the natural as well.
- 31:45Speaker 3: And he wants you to just trust him. Just like
- 31:48Speaker 3: a father doesn't tell their child every single detail of everything.
- 31:53Speaker 3: It is because he is protecting that child from something.
- 31:59Speaker 3: And he wants that child to wait until he's ready
- 32:01Speaker 3: to give him that gift so you can unwrap it
- 32:05Speaker 3: and enjoy it. He wants you. He says, it is
- 32:07Speaker 3: my good pleasure to give you these things.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 32:12Speaker 3: So allow God to transform you. Allow God to be
- 32:15Speaker 3: the powder and you be the clay. Let her mold you.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Let her mold you. I love that. Yeah. What does
- 32:24Speaker 2: loving yourself practically look like when you're in a season
- 32:29Speaker 2: where you don't necessarily feel confident, beautiful, strong, or worthy?
- 32:35Speaker 3: Practically, I sit before God and I tell God everything. God,
- 32:42Speaker 3: I don't feel good. I don't feel beautiful right now.
- 32:47Speaker 3: And I sing songs of worship to the Lord. I pray.
- 32:52Speaker 3: I journal. That's a big thing. Journal, journal, journal. I've
- 32:57Speaker 3: been journaling for years. Journal, journal your thoughts. Journal when
- 33:02Speaker 3: you wake up. Journal when you go to sleep because
- 33:03Speaker 3: you can't, all that stuff in your brain, you can't
- 33:06Speaker 3: fathom to have all that stuff on your mind.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Right.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Pour it out on paper and your tablet and your phone.
- 33:13Speaker 2: And journal.
- 33:14Speaker 3: There are so many ways you can journal. You can
- 33:16Speaker 3: even talk to the voice messages, voice thing and do
- 33:20Speaker 3: it that way.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Journal.
- 33:21Speaker 3: You might be writing about 8000 books. You just never know.
- 33:25Speaker 3: And journal. Another thing that I do is paint. I
- 33:30Speaker 3: do things that I love to do. So whatever you
- 33:33Speaker 3: love to do, maybe you like to sing. Maybe you
- 33:34Speaker 3: like to play the piano, the guitar, you know, do
- 33:38Speaker 3: those things. Maybe you like to read, read, read books
- 33:41Speaker 3: on top of books. Get your mind ready. your mind
- 33:44Speaker 3: into the books and read maybe you like to go
- 33:47Speaker 3: walk by the the park so i used to love
- 33:49Speaker 3: i love going by the lakes and and walking by
- 33:53Speaker 3: water um especially because of psalm 23 that was heavy
- 33:58Speaker 3: on me during the year i was going through i
- 33:59Speaker 3: was going through and when i was homeless but god
- 34:02Speaker 3: said he will lead me beside the still waters meaning
- 34:06Speaker 3: i will my soul will get refreshed restored Walk beside
- 34:11Speaker 3: the still waters. Walk on the beach. Walk by the river.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Those are still waters. And God will restore your soul.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Refresh you. Working out. Practical thing. But working out is
- 34:28Speaker 3: like therapy.
- 34:30Speaker 2: It is. Stretching.
- 34:31Speaker 3: You know. I do these things.
- 34:37Speaker 2: So.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Yeah. Going out with, you know, friends, like, you know,
- 34:43Speaker 3: not doing unrighteous, unholy things, but maybe going out for coffee.
- 34:48Speaker 3: I don't drink coffee, but going to a coffee shop
- 34:50Speaker 3: and sitting down, having a nice meal for yourself, going,
- 34:54Speaker 3: you know, and then some other things that people don't
- 34:56Speaker 3: really talk about. But go get your nails and your
- 34:59Speaker 3: hair done. Go, you know, go look cute. Put on
- 35:05Speaker 3: a cute dress, a sundress, some heels. Even though you
- 35:08Speaker 3: might not feel it, just put it on and go
- 35:12Speaker 3: and enjoy yourself. Even if you got to go on
- 35:14Speaker 3: a date by yourself, just do it.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I so agree with that.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Yes.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely. I love that. And so we all have
- 35:25Speaker 2: negative thoughts, fears, and self-doubts, right? About starting over. What
- 35:32Speaker 2: is something that you can say to the listeners about
- 35:37Speaker 2: starting over without regret.
- 35:41Speaker 3: I would say this I don't think it's starting over
- 35:44Speaker 3: I just think you're seeing what you what what you
- 35:50Speaker 3: can do better so you will never know what you
- 35:56Speaker 3: can do better if you don't fail at something or
- 36:00Speaker 3: if you don't If maybe it just don't work, it
- 36:05Speaker 3: won't be perfect. You keep going. Even when it may
- 36:10Speaker 3: not look the way you want it to look, you
- 36:14Speaker 3: keep getting back up. Going to the workshops, you still
- 36:20Speaker 3: go to church, you read your Bible, you still go
- 36:22Speaker 3: before the Lord and just go. I will also say
- 36:26Speaker 3: that if you feel that you're starting over, it's probably
- 36:31Speaker 3: a good thing.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Right.
- 36:33Speaker 3: That's like me when I paint. Sometimes I may not
- 36:36Speaker 3: like what I paint. You know. But I might have
- 36:41Speaker 3: to start over. I might have to do another canvas.
- 36:45Speaker 3: And then maybe another canvas. And it's okay.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Okay.
- 36:49Speaker 3: I don't really take it as starting over.
- 36:53Speaker 2: I would probably say a reset.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Yeah. Reset. Because God said he uses everything to work.
- 37:02Speaker 3: For the good of those who love God, he uses
- 37:05Speaker 3: it and he aligns it to his will. Isn't that awesome?
- 37:09Speaker 3: The good, the bad, the ugly, the mistakes, everything, everything,
- 37:15Speaker 3: the day, everything, everything. He uses it to align to
- 37:21Speaker 3: the will that he has for your life.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Absolutely. Yes. And it's a beautiful thing. So, Mykeisha, we
- 37:32Speaker 2: have something in common. We are both podcast hosts, right?
- 37:36Speaker 3: Yes.
- 37:37Speaker 2: So, what inspired the Cool of the Day podcast? And
- 37:43Speaker 2: what did you want or what do you want people
- 37:47Speaker 2: to feel when they hear the name or experience your show?
- 37:53Speaker 3: So, the Cool of the Day podcast was actually inspired
- 37:57Speaker 3: by By season, when I just was going before the Lord,
- 38:03Speaker 3: I didn't have nothing. I didn't have nothing. I didn't
- 38:07Speaker 3: have all this stuff I have in this room was
- 38:09Speaker 3: not here. It was empty. And it was just me
- 38:13Speaker 3: and God in the garden. Just like Adam and God
- 38:20Speaker 3: was walking in the garden during the cool of the day.
- 38:24Speaker 3: That was me and God.
- 38:26Speaker 2: I love that. That's amazing. Yeah. How has being a
- 38:30Speaker 2: podcast host changed the way you listen to others' stories?
- 38:37Speaker 3: It caused me to pay attention more because sometimes I'll
- 38:41Speaker 3: be ready to like, okay, like say what I want
- 38:44Speaker 3: to say. But it caused me to, it helped me,
- 38:49Speaker 3: it trained me to listen more to what people are saying,
- 38:54Speaker 3: to pay attention to the conversations. So I won't be
- 38:59Speaker 3: so anxious to go to my next question or it'll
- 39:05Speaker 3: just be a flow.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Okay.
- 39:07Speaker 3: You know, it'll be a flow. Of course, I have
- 39:10Speaker 3: questions to guide the conversation, but ultimately it'll just be
- 39:15Speaker 3: a flow. And me and that person can kind of
- 39:18Speaker 3: piggyback off each other and it goes well and it'll
- 39:22Speaker 3: be well for the people who are viewing.
- 39:25Speaker 2: The podcast. I love that. You know, I'm all about
- 39:29Speaker 2: the energy and I always create questions, but we don't
- 39:33Speaker 2: always stick to the questions. But these are some good questions.
- 39:36Speaker 2: I was like, I'm not sending anybody questions. I want
- 39:39Speaker 2: to make sure that the answer is because I want
- 39:41Speaker 2: to make you think because you had to pause a
- 39:42Speaker 2: couple of times. And I'm like, that's it right there.
- 39:45Speaker 2: She's actually been intentional about what she wants to say.
- 39:49Speaker 2: And truly taking the time to think about the question
- 39:53Speaker 2: before putting out, just saying anything or just chat GPT
- 39:58Speaker 2: in it, the answers and having it like sitting right
- 40:00Speaker 2: there to just read verbatim. You know, we can always
- 40:04Speaker 2: tell when something is forced.
- 40:06Speaker 3: And unauthentic.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Now, there was times where I was a little unauthentic
- 40:13Speaker 3: and God had to get me on that. And I
- 40:14Speaker 3: was like, okay. Because I was just starting out, you know,
- 40:19Speaker 3: and when I started having guests on my show, that
- 40:22Speaker 3: was the hardest thing. Because when it was just me
- 40:24Speaker 3: by myself, I'm just talking and talking and I'm looking at,
- 40:27Speaker 3: you know, make sure I hit certain points. But when
- 40:30Speaker 3: it was guests coming, I'm like, oh, my God, like I.
- 40:32Speaker 3: I can't. I got to listen. I got to, you know,
- 40:37Speaker 3: you know, and so.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:39Speaker 3: But now we're good.
- 40:40Speaker 2: I love it.
- 40:41Speaker 3: Yes.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Okay, so what are you building next? I know you
- 40:45Speaker 2: touched on it a little bit in the beginning that
- 40:47Speaker 2: you coming back after having a hiatus and it's just
- 40:51Speaker 2: gonna be you and God. So what can people expect
- 40:55Speaker 2: from your podcast in the next chapter?
- 40:59Speaker 3: So this next chapter is called Back to the Garden.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Back to the Garden is just repositioning myself to go
- 41:10Speaker 3: like to be back at God's feet and not saying
- 41:13Speaker 3: that I never was but it's no more um interviewing
- 41:22Speaker 3: people um it's more so having a a conversation with
- 41:30Speaker 3: God as I'm recording if that makes sense um And
- 41:37Speaker 3: that's going back to like the basics of when I
- 41:39Speaker 3: first was doing the podcast. Because I kind of rushed
- 41:42Speaker 3: into like interviewing people because I was excited. But God
- 41:47Speaker 3: needs me to kind of come back, really back in.
- 41:52Speaker 3: And let's kind of like doing Bible study.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Okay.
- 41:57Speaker 3: You know, like, because me and God, like, he be
- 42:03Speaker 3: having me go all over the word. You know what
- 42:06Speaker 3: I'm saying? All over the book, all over the Bible.
- 42:08Speaker 3: But it all is like a map and it ties
- 42:11Speaker 3: in to the main point of what we talking about
- 42:15Speaker 3: that day.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Right.
- 42:18Speaker 3: You know, and so I want to do that. I
- 42:20Speaker 3: want people to see how God conversates and how so
- 42:27Speaker 3: easy it is to just go before God and he'll
- 42:33Speaker 3: speak to you through his words. And he'll show you
- 42:37Speaker 3: some things. And you'll be like, oh, oh, oh, oh.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Okay. There it is. Yes, absolutely.
- 42:44Speaker 3: I want to show my viewers that. I want to
- 42:46Speaker 3: show them how they can, too, do the same things
- 42:49Speaker 3: that I'm doing.
- 42:50Speaker 2: You know?
- 42:52Speaker 3: And not be afraid. Not saying they got to make
- 42:54Speaker 3: a podcast and all that. But just how to get
- 42:58Speaker 3: back to the garden. Get back to that foundation. And
- 43:02Speaker 3: dwell in the word. And dive deep into it. And
- 43:06Speaker 3: not be afraid of God.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Not be afraid. Oh, I love that. Well, I wish
- 43:11Speaker 2: you much success. And tell listeners how they can listen in.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Where is the podcast streamed? Do you have the YouTube channel?
- 43:20Speaker 2: Go ahead and plug everything so I can go ahead
- 43:22Speaker 2: and make sure that it is included in the show notes, please.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Okay.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Yes.
- 43:26Speaker 3: So we're going to be on YouTube. Still deciding if
- 43:29Speaker 3: I want to do Apple and Spotify like before. But
- 43:33Speaker 3: we're going to be on YouTube at TCO. podcast and
- 43:40Speaker 3: that's the acronym for the cool of the day podcast
- 43:44Speaker 3: yeah that's on YouTube and you can also check us
- 43:47Speaker 3: out on Instagram for our short clips and short little
- 43:52Speaker 3: things that we have on Instagram it's called TCOTD podcast
- 44:00Speaker 3: on Instagram.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Got it alright we're going to our last segment which
- 44:04Speaker 2: is the mic drop I'll ask you three questions and
- 44:09Speaker 2: then you just say the first thing that comes to mind. Okay.
- 44:14Speaker 2: What part of yourself are you most proud that you
- 44:17Speaker 2: never gave up on?
- 44:18Speaker 3: My mind.
- 44:21Speaker 2: If the younger version of Mykesha could see the woman
- 44:25Speaker 2: sitting here today, what do you think she would say?
- 44:30Speaker 3: She's beautiful.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Finish this sentence. I finally started becoming myself when I stopped.
- 44:39Speaker 3: And what others think.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Love it. I love it. And you know I cannot
- 44:46Speaker 2: let you go without asking the question that I ask
- 44:49Speaker 2: every guest. When life challenges you and love stretches you,
- 44:57Speaker 2: what mindset keeps you grounded?
- 44:59Speaker 3: The mindset of Christ.
- 45:04Speaker 2: And there we have it. That's the mic drop moment, y'all.
- 45:07Speaker 2: That's the mic drop. So this conversation was such a
- 45:11Speaker 2: beautiful conversation. Thank you for being here. Thank you for
- 45:14Speaker 2: being so open and transparent. I love your vulnerability when
- 45:19Speaker 2: it comes to talking about your faith, your experiences, your
- 45:22Speaker 2: love for God and all the things. For someone who
- 45:25Speaker 2: is listening right now, what is something positive that you
- 45:29Speaker 2: can say to them to make sure that they don't
- 45:32Speaker 2: downplay their faith? And God.
- 45:35Speaker 3: So many things that I could say. That should have
- 45:39Speaker 3: been an immediate question, an immediate answer. But one thing
- 45:44Speaker 3: positive that I can say so that they don't downplay
- 45:48Speaker 3: their faith in God. Well, in order to not downplay
- 45:53Speaker 3: your faith in God, it says faith comes by hearing
- 45:55Speaker 3: and hearing by the word of God. So read the
- 45:57Speaker 3: word of God out loud so you can hear. You
- 46:01Speaker 3: can hear. You can hear what God is saying. You
- 46:04Speaker 3: can gain faith. Go get a church home, a Holy
- 46:10Speaker 3: Spirit filled church home where Christ is the center. And
- 46:16Speaker 3: the pastor, he's after God's own heart.
- 46:22Speaker 2: That's it. Yeah. All right, guys. You know, you have
- 46:26Speaker 2: been listening to another episode of Kicking It With Kiki, Life, Love,
- 46:29Speaker 2: and Mindset. To everyone who is listening, your life is
- 46:34Speaker 2: still being written, okay? Love yourself through every chapter, good, bad, ugly, whatever.
- 46:42Speaker 2: Protect your mindset. It keeps you moving forward without thinking
- 46:46Speaker 2: or getting stuck in that moment. So make sure that
- 46:49Speaker 2: you are doing things that are feeding your mindset. Like
- 46:53Speaker 2: Makisha said, journaling, grounding, reading the word, prayer, meditation. Go
- 47:00Speaker 2: get your nails done. If that's something that's going to
- 47:03Speaker 2: change your mindset or keep it in a positive light,
- 47:05Speaker 2: then do that. Do it more often. Spend time with yourself.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Because I feel like I love spending time with myself.
- 47:13Speaker 2: If you don't love you or like being around you,
- 47:15Speaker 2: how do you expect somebody else to? And remember that
- 47:20Speaker 2: so as a man thinketh, so is he. So we
- 47:24Speaker 2: have to change the way we think so that we
- 47:27Speaker 2: can change the way we live and live life abundantly.
- 47:31Speaker 2: We were not put here to be mediocre. Stop thinking
- 47:35Speaker 2: that your story is the worst story that's ever been written.
- 47:40Speaker 2: It's not. And it's okay to be sick and tired
- 47:45Speaker 2: of being sick and tired. Just don't stay stuck in
- 47:47Speaker 2: that mindset. Move forward so that you can change that
- 47:51Speaker 2: and shift. Because we experienced so many life lessons, experiences,
- 47:55Speaker 2: mindset shifts. It's life. It's better than the alternative. And
- 48:00Speaker 2: we all know what that is. So keep pouring in yourself.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Keep showing up for yourself. Surround yourself with people who
- 48:06Speaker 2: show up for you just as you show up for them.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Until next time, keep growing, keep loving, and keep becoming.
- 48:14Speaker 2: Purple hug.
- 48:16Speaker 3: Later.
