- 0:15there. My daughters are downstairs in
- 0:17the basement, always filling all the orders, getting them out on
- 0:21time. OK, this weekend is a big
- 0:26weekend. Friday night I'll be racing in
- 0:30Plymouth IN at Plymouth Speedway, be running on asphalt,
- 0:35real good looking, super late model.
- 0:37So come out and watch me race. I'll be signing autographs right
- 0:41after qualifying on Friday night Plymouth IN Plymouth Speedway.
- 0:48Then when the race is over Friday night I'll get back in my
- 0:52pickup truck because yeah I'm driving up and back Friday night
- 0:56When it's over I'm going to drive back home and we're racing
- 0:59Saturday night on dirt at I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway
- 1:05Park. Y'all come out now?
- 1:08Then Sunday we're back on the airplane and Kim and I are
- 1:12headed back to Charlotte for almost 2 weeks.
- 1:16Yes, on what is it, May 21st, That Thursday I'll be at Dale
- 1:22Earnhardt Junior's, a big show, big fan fest sponsored by
- 1:27Arby's. I'll be on the Arby's stage.
- 1:29Me and Mike Davis, we'll be talking about everything.
- 1:33And then after our show will be Dale Junior will be there.
- 1:36And Amy, bless your heart, everything's going to be live on
- 1:39the RB stage. That's Thursday, May 21st.
- 1:43I know this is a lot of information, everybody.
- 1:47And then that Sunday, of course, I'll be on Trackside live for
- 1:52the Coke 600. Then Kim and I are going to roll
- 1:55on down to Myrtle Beach and see Brenda and Glen Hayes and Myrtle
- 1:59Beach and eventually May 28th, we'll come back to Saint Louis.
- 2:05So we got a lot going on. I can't repeat it, of course I
- 2:10can, but rewind this, watch it again.
- 2:13We'll be super busy and I'll be everywhere.
- 2:17I've been everywhere, man. Cross the ocean there, man.
- 2:23All right, So much to say. Big story today.
- 2:26Big story. I'm not resolute on this.
- 2:37Resolute means final. I'm not final on this.
- 2:41I'm like a mixed bag of nuts. Scrambled eggs.
- 2:45It means I don't know yet. Little frog in my throat.
- 2:51Rabbit. Rabbit.
- 2:53A Jake break. People ask me all the time.
- 3:03Hey, Wallace, do the Jake break. I can't help it.
- 3:12OK, Jenna Fryer is a big time reporter.
- 3:17She been reporting for the APAP stands for Associated Press
- 3:23Jenna is is a staple. She's been in the NASCAR Media
- 3:28Center. She is reported on a Motorsports
- 3:31in general as long as anybody. So Jenna Fryer is a badass.
- 3:39Jenna came out with a nice little story yesterday that
- 3:43she's left the AP, she's left The Associated Press because it
- 3:47just really doesn't want to report on Motorsports anymore.
- 3:52Damn, that's big. I'm going to repeat that one.
- 3:57The Associated Press does not want to report on Motorsports.
- 4:01The way it should be reported on anymore is what Jennifer said.
- 4:07So Jenna's out and she's going to go on and do something else.
- 4:11She'll find another job. She's quality and she'll be just
- 4:15fine if she doesn't stay in. Now, this is my prediction.
- 4:21One of the race teams I hire most likely be IndyCar, be Chick
- 4:26and Assy or Felix Sabatis. They love her.
- 4:31I know just a little bit here and there, but I don't think I
- 4:35don't think chicken asking Felix going to let Jennifer go without
- 4:39a job too long. But you know who knows I'm just
- 4:43saying she is ingrained in Motorsports.
- 4:46Jennifer. What did I tell you?
- 4:48She's a bad ass Jennifer look her up so that leads me to this
- 4:56now I'm I'm starting to put the dots together here.
- 5:00The Ford Motor Company, Follow me now.
- 5:03The Ford Motor Company does not have a race car in the O'Reilly
- 5:08series. Oh, yeah, I said it.
- 5:11It might have. You might not have noticed, but
- 5:14that's been the story in the garage area.
- 5:17Ford there. There's not a Ford race car in
- 5:21O'Reilly right now. Are you kidding me?
- 5:26Story is that Ford is kind of backing down a lot and putting
- 5:30their money in Formula One and Europe and things of that
- 5:34nature. So you start putting all these
- 5:38puzzles together, you're like, OK, Associated Press court
- 5:42reporting on Motorsports in general, Ford's kind of backing
- 5:46out of NASCAR a little bit, per SE.
- 5:50Then you look at the third deal, Harvick, Kevin Harvick goes with
- 5:53Toyota because Ford doesn't want to do anything with Caitlin.
- 5:59And we know that, you know, Ford Motor Company along with
- 6:04Chevrolet kind of sponsored the end of Kevin Harvick's career.
- 6:09Serious. You're thinking certainly
- 6:11Harvard's going to be able to get Ford or Chevrolet to help
- 6:14out with Keelan. No, it's Toyota.
- 6:19You know, you say you lose 1 you, you, you lose Ford and
- 6:23incomes Ram, right? But Ram is is crawling before it
- 6:29walks. So Ram is back in.
- 6:31They're so new. RAM is in and out, but
- 6:34thankfully they're back in. Where am I going with all this?
- 6:39I've been saying, I've been screaming from the rooftops.
- 6:43Racing is a lesser. So that's the question and
- 6:48that's going to be my headlines. Is racing lesser?
- 6:53Now I've got some of you out there that, listen, I've said it
- 6:57100 times, I love dirt racing more than you, OK?
- 7:02I'm the dirt racer, not you. And you're out there and you're
- 7:06like dirt racing, calm down. There's like 3 to 5000 people in
- 7:11the grandstands at a dirt race. I've said it before and I'll say
- 7:15it again, and I'm consistent. Dirt racing is only going to go
- 7:19so far. They've only got so many
- 7:21grandstands. It's where it's at in your
- 7:25little world. But we're talking about 60,000
- 7:30people at a NASCAR race. Oh, it's a horrible crowd.
- 7:34There's nobody there. There's only 60,000 people at a
- 7:37NASCAR race. And then you go to your little
- 7:40dirt race and there's like 3 to 5000 or packed standing room
- 7:44only. Hey, watch this.
- 7:48Knock, knock anybody home. It's like Schrader said, all the
- 7:53old days were awesome. I'm not sure how you remember
- 7:58the good old days, but they, you know, sometimes the good old
- 8:02days are only the way you remember.
- 8:04Dirt racing is not getting any bigger.
- 8:08I love dirt racing. I'm the dirt racer.
- 8:09I'm just honest. Dirt racing is like this.
- 8:12It's just, it's just good. Dirt racing is awesome, but it's
- 8:15right here, OK? There's no more grandstands
- 8:18being built for dirt racing. Just fill them up and that's
- 8:21really good. All right, I think I've drove my
- 8:24point home about dirt racing. So has auto racing stalled out
- 8:34in America, Has it? I don't know, because Ford is
- 8:42kind of left, Rams kind of coming in, Jenna Fryer's out
- 8:46because one of the biggest associate, you know, the biggest
- 8:50media companies in America, Associated Press are there.
- 8:53We really don't want to talk about NASCAR that much anymore.
- 8:58But, and I'll leave you with this, the big news, if you've
- 9:02made it this far, the big news now, the city of Chicago wants
- 9:06the NASCAR back. Now they're saying that when
- 9:09we're done with Coronado, when we're done with San Diego, we're
- 9:13going to go back to the street course in Chicago.
- 9:17Remember now NASCAR is priding itself on a moving schedule
- 9:24every year now the schedule is going to move around.
- 9:26There's going to be in and out, in and out, set up races, St.
- 9:30course, something out there, Coronado Airfield or what do you
- 9:33call it out there and see any San Diego?
- 9:37NASCAR has the ability to run different tracks every year now.
- 9:41That's the new thing. How to do?
- 9:51Is racing lesser in America? Respond right here.
- 9:56Have a great Wednesday, everybody.
