- 0:04Speaker 2: This is the Team Up Play Show podcast.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Previously in the City of Bones, there.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Is a doctor before you, and behind you a king
- 0:42Speaker 2: being made one with his cat.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I want to stalk Shay.
- 0:48Speaker 3: I want to know where he went, where he lives,
- 0:50Speaker 3: if I can figure that out, what his routine is.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I want to just follow Shay because if I'm not
- 0:56Speaker 3: watching Paige, I need to be watching him.
- 0:58Speaker 2: You're able to track him down, bust some fingers, figure
- 1:02Speaker 2: out where he went. From the sight of the battle
- 1:06Speaker 2: you find him. He seems depressed. He does a lot
- 1:09Speaker 2: of sitting, a lot of pacing, a lot of not
- 1:11Speaker 2: going out very much. In the beginning of this week,
- 1:15Speaker 2: you hear him at one point screaming to one of
- 1:18Speaker 2: his henchmen. I stabbed him right in the chest. Any
- 1:23Speaker 2: man would have fallen to my blade? What is in him?
- 1:27Speaker 2: Where can I get it?
- 1:30Speaker 1: All?
- 1:30Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:30Speaker 2: So get that fucking suit fixed for me?
- 1:33Speaker 1: Do you have the number? I look over to Jason. Oh, yeah,
- 1:37Speaker 1: I hang out. I just rifled through a bunch of
- 1:40Speaker 1: like a rolodex. Didn't we have like a direct pneumatic tube?
- 1:46Speaker 1: You have a tube? To Manny?
- 1:48Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:48Speaker 2: Oh, sure, you can write Manny a letter, tell him
- 1:50Speaker 2: to come by for sure.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Yeah. Hell ye tube tube, give him a tube. Yeah,
- 1:56Speaker 1: we got a company. Yeah.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Dear Raith, Hello, this is Rigel. We fought together once.
- 2:05Speaker 4: You saved me like you've saved so many others. Please,
- 2:10Speaker 4: this city needs you again and we heroes need your guidance.
- 2:14Speaker 4: If you're getting this message, meet us back here at
- 2:19Speaker 4: one am on and then whatever the date is, three
- 2:22Speaker 4: days from now, Sincerely, Richel.
- 2:47Speaker 2: The three heroes of New Babbel find themselves at the
- 2:50Speaker 2: top of a tall tower, one of the many buildings
- 2:55Speaker 2: built here that scrape the sky. There is a boy
- 2:59Speaker 2: in a tank being fused with a cat. There are
- 3:03Speaker 2: two gorilla men hanging out. There is an unconscious doctor Moreau,
- 3:10Speaker 2: and you have a little robot named Sticky who's giving
- 3:15Speaker 2: you information about an old scientist named Debt Jasmine Dukes.
- 3:21Speaker 2: And there is a paper cat. Just another Tuesday for us.
- 3:26Speaker 1: You're not kidding.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I've decided to name the script kiddy mister Crinkles.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Because paper cuse paper paper.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Yeah, good cut, people, I summoned the use mister Crinkles,
- 3:46Speaker 3: use cut. I turned my my big paper hat backwards
- 3:51Speaker 3: throw a wad of paper and then the cat appears there.
- 3:54Speaker 1: WHOA, I choose you? It was super effective. Ye go sticky.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Should we battle our little guys? No guy was cut?
- 4:12Speaker 1: When the sticky is better if he's into it, let's battle.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Battle battle guys.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Sticky kind of starts quivering in your arms.
- 4:22Speaker 1: No, no, I was. It was just a bit sticky, sticky,
- 4:28Speaker 1: like your wheels are a bit sticky. Yeah, sticky gets
- 4:33Speaker 1: bits hey.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Should we like, I don't know free this this de
- 4:39Speaker 3: kay guy was just let him keep fusing.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I mean you were, you were in it right like
- 4:46Speaker 1: this is he is? He is he cooked?
- 4:49Speaker 3: The souls are cooked. I mean here, the souls is
- 4:51Speaker 3: going to be good. I think no matter what, it's
- 4:53Speaker 3: sort of whether how much cat do we want for him?
- 4:57Speaker 3: And also doctor Marra said if we pull him out early, oh.
- 5:05Speaker 1: That's not why we're here, and we are not scientists.
- 5:10Speaker 1: No true, So I could just I could sense and
- 5:14Speaker 1: see if he's operating. Okay, it's a great plan. I
- 5:18Speaker 1: can start pushing buttons. I'll do that. We'll multitask. Go ahead, Okay,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna quickly. I'm gonna sense this this old child
- 5:30Speaker 1: to see if their body is online cooking. Yeah, if
- 5:38Speaker 1: it's if it's ready, if there's I'm a stick my
- 5:41Speaker 1: my mental thermometer in there and see if it's done.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Okay, I'll roll a knowledge check plus your sense knowledge.
- 5:50Speaker 2: This is as my skin check. I'm rolling a D
- 5:54Speaker 2: twenty as this is not your area of expertise two
- 5:57Speaker 2: D six nine World four A A.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I'm just I'm petting sticky like like it is a
- 6:06Speaker 1: cat in my arms.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I'm about to push a bunch of buttons. My fingers
- 6:09Speaker 3: are like going down to the console.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Uh.
- 6:15Speaker 2: You gather that the transformation is nearly complete.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Uh, nearly, but not quite not quite. I think I
- 6:24Speaker 1: think he needs to cook a little longer. Well, you
- 6:27Speaker 1: want to battle our little dudes while we wait?
- 6:29Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 6:29Speaker 3: I guess we could call the cops so they can
- 6:31Speaker 3: show up and get these gorilla guys out of here.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I mean, if Eleaene is not busy, you know, fighting
- 6:36Speaker 1: for her life, we could let her know. Sure. Yeah,
- 6:39Speaker 1: you guys just left the precinct where.
- 6:41Speaker 2: The uh the cops and ask were in a firefight,
- 6:46Speaker 2: so right.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Distraction for that. Yes, this could be some good mediation
- 6:54Speaker 1: between the powers of corruption and the powers of justice.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Was that the precinct in ask it was.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Yeah, let's get back. Make sure at least I can
- 7:05Speaker 4: give back. Make sure that's under control.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I mean, might not be a bad idea. Just stay
- 7:11Speaker 1: on the colms. Yeah, yeah, okay, dirt could probably help too,
- 7:17Speaker 1: if you need back up, if if we gotta wait here,
- 7:20Speaker 1: make sure this crazy doctor doesn't run away.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Yeah, just don't do anything, uh, you know, to make
- 7:28Speaker 4: you somehow worse somehow? I trust you?
- 7:31Speaker 1: Do you mean?
- 7:33Speaker 3: What are you talking about? My fingers like hovering over
- 7:35Speaker 3: a big red button?
- 7:36Speaker 4: I also said. I also said I trust you. All right,
- 7:42Speaker 4: I'll like walk a step, throw down a flight star
- 7:48Speaker 4: like it's a skateboard, and I'll push off the ground
- 7:51Speaker 4: and then start needlessly ripping away ninety style.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Rip away ninety style.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Yeah, Jimy or you patrol the city skies. Are you
- 8:04Speaker 2: going back to that precinct specifically?
- 8:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel guilty. Yeah, we kind of left a
- 8:11Speaker 4: hot situation. We had good reason, but yeah, I'll go
- 8:14Speaker 4: back to that station. See what went down? Great, Jamia
- 8:18Speaker 4: is headed back there. The two of you here, are
- 8:22Speaker 4: you doing anything with Spencer and Reginald the.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Man with a gorilla for a head and the gorilla
- 8:28Speaker 3: with a man for a head.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Correct, and what's their status? And they knocked out one
- 8:34Speaker 2: of them is knocked out, Reginald.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I believe.
- 8:38Speaker 4: Summary, by the way, was very love.
- 8:43Speaker 3: It's very susical. He had a gorilla for a head
- 8:45Speaker 3: and a man for a body, and a body for
- 8:47Speaker 3: a man in a head for a gorilla.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Spencer is just sitting cross legged next to Reginald and
- 8:55Speaker 2: kind of tapping on him. I think, just watching him
- 9:00Speaker 2: Jarre paper phantom as you are looking at buttons and
- 9:04Speaker 2: kind of messing around with them. Oh yeah, doctor Moreau.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Though he is down, he's not going to do actions,
- 9:12Speaker 2: but he does. You hear his voice. He starts talking
- 9:16Speaker 2: to you. You look over and see his eyes just
- 9:19Speaker 2: faintly opening.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I smashed a chair over.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Sit now over, He.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Says, I've.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Heard of you.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Oh Phantom.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Isn't it.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Paper phantom to you?
- 9:42Speaker 2: Yes? I had a client screaming you your.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Name, oh, in like a positive way. What's what did
- 9:54Speaker 3: they say? Should be flattered?
- 9:58Speaker 2: I wouldn't be mm hmm. They came to me for
- 10:02Speaker 2: power to defeat you. M uhh uh, oh, give me
- 10:10Speaker 2: a name.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Moreau hoo'd you fuck up into a weird animal man?
- 10:16Speaker 1: You've already defeated me. What else do I have?
- 10:21Speaker 3: Well, I look around the lab and all the loose paper,
- 10:25Speaker 3: all the research, and I look back at him, and
- 10:29Speaker 3: all the paper starts to just flutter.
- 10:31Speaker 1: So I raise my hand.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Be a shame if all this research were to be destroyed,
- 10:39Speaker 3: your precious knowledge.
- 10:42Speaker 2: I was once like you, black old nerd. I'm not
- 10:47Speaker 2: a nerd. I'm a genius ne nerd, nerd recognized nerd,
- 10:50Speaker 2: roller coaxed. You can add your paper paper, Nancy, dude,
- 10:58Speaker 2: proud of you for not just torture and this guy.
- 11:00Speaker 5: I try.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Hey, I'm turning over a new lee.
- 11:04Speaker 4: You're not just slicing. You're not just slicing his genitalia.
- 11:10Speaker 1: There's still time for that later. But I did get
- 11:12Speaker 1: an eleven. He eleven.
- 11:14Speaker 2: This is going to just roll against his guts check which.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Is a D four. He can't beat you? Nice? Fine, fine,
- 11:23Speaker 1: give me the name moreau Shay.
- 11:26Speaker 2: He asked if I could do anything with the elements.
- 11:32Speaker 2: A new task titilated my mind and I tried. I
- 11:36Speaker 2: tried everything, but it didn't work.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Wait, Wait, what elements I could wager to guess fire.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Oh, he wanted the power over flame and I tried,
- 11:52Speaker 2: but it didn't work. Phantom, I wish it did.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Well, you can remember my name and you're rotting in
- 12:01Speaker 3: a jail cell and this research you've done.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I snap my fingers and it all.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Just he like scrambles after trying to put pieces of
- 12:14Speaker 2: it together.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Now, no one's gonna remember your name, sticky and misles
- 12:18Speaker 1: like batting at that's cold.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Well, good news is it didn't work.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Did something works though?
- 12:29Speaker 2: Moreau is grabbing like a handful of his torn paper
- 12:34Speaker 2: research and he's looking at it. Suddenly looks up at you.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I suppose, I don't know, is that true.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I think without a role you you understand that he's
- 12:46Speaker 2: telling the truth.
- 12:49Speaker 1: We should still watch our backs.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Yeah, he turned into sort of a slug on fire.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Okay, oh well we'll keep tabs on that. Thank you
- 13:03Speaker 3: for your your honesty and forthcomingness.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Now I knock him out the chair. I was about
- 13:10Speaker 1: to say, hard to, you know, hide a fire slug
- 13:13Speaker 1: in the city, but we didn't know where the Rhino
- 13:15Speaker 1: taar was and there he was. You know, it's a
- 13:19Speaker 1: big city. How's our how's our tube? Boy?
- 13:22Speaker 2: Cooking nearly done. Before we see that, we will go
- 13:27Speaker 2: to Jamiir. Jamir, you fly over top of precinct and ask,
- 13:33Speaker 2: and it looks like things have settled down here at least. Okay,
- 13:37Speaker 2: you don't hear gunfire anymore, you that's all you can
- 13:42Speaker 2: gather from the outside.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I don't hear gunfire. I uh, I'm flying
- 13:47Speaker 4: at this point, maybe like yeah, forty fifty feet up
- 13:50Speaker 4: and then I will jump off my flight star, tuck
- 13:54Speaker 4: and roll and then summon another one. Grab it like
- 13:59Speaker 4: a saucer sled in the snow, put it under my butt,
- 14:03Speaker 4: and slide down the air at an angle as if
- 14:07Speaker 4: it was a sled hill, before rolling right into a
- 14:11Speaker 4: walk at ground level into the precinct.
- 14:15Speaker 2: You see that the small cells that they have here
- 14:19Speaker 2: just at the precinct for you know, overnight guests kind
- 14:23Speaker 2: of thing, those are all full of police officers. Elaine
- 14:28Speaker 2: is locking up one of the cells, turns around. She
- 14:32Speaker 2: has blood coming off of her the side of her face.
- 14:38Speaker 1: It takes a breath.
- 14:39Speaker 4: Rigel just wanted to check back in tonight see see
- 14:43Speaker 4: how things turned out over here.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Yeah, thanks for doing that. We you know, it could
- 14:48Speaker 2: have been better. We lost a couple, but it's settled
- 14:54Speaker 2: down now. I'm sorry we had to leave. Seems there's
- 14:57Speaker 2: a lot of trouble going around tonight. Is there anywhere
- 14:59Speaker 2: else there that I and or my friends could help
- 15:02Speaker 2: out get things just.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Back to not complete chaos.
- 15:09Speaker 2: My understanding is that what we've heard in from the
- 15:13Speaker 2: radio is that after our announcement, the police and Kono
- 15:18Speaker 2: have fully fortified around the Mayor's office. Of course, they're
- 15:23Speaker 2: not even hanging out in the precinct anymore. They are
- 15:25Speaker 2: just his little defending army there.
- 15:30Speaker 4: The Praetorian Guard shows its true colors.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Yeah, the.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Police in Koso, as far as i've heard, thunderfist Ron,
- 15:46Speaker 2: his kind of stopped all communications just he wants to
- 15:52Speaker 2: do his own thing. He's always wanted just to rule
- 15:56Speaker 2: that little chunk of the world, and we haven't heard
- 15:59Speaker 2: from him. We are talking to the police in SaaS
- 16:03Speaker 2: and they have taken care of their few. There are
- 16:07Speaker 2: few UH officers that were on the take as well,
- 16:11Speaker 2: and it's settled over there as far as I know.
- 16:15Speaker 4: We try to help this city and we're tearing it apart.
- 16:18Speaker 4: It's tearing itself apart. Thank you for the update. Officer.
- 16:24Speaker 1: If you need me, I don't know how you can
- 16:26Speaker 1: get in contact with me, but.
- 16:28Speaker 4: You know, get on a radio or in front of
- 16:31Speaker 4: a television camera.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Something. Well, we'll try and think of something.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Yeah, let's let's think of something, because I look at
- 16:44Speaker 4: the officers in the cells. You did great work tonight.
- 16:48Speaker 4: But this isn't the end, you know that.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where we're this is this was the easy part.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I'm worried about.
- 17:00Speaker 2: The vote and what'll happen and everything after that. Oh hey,
- 17:07Speaker 2: I got an idea. She goes over to the wall.
- 17:10Speaker 2: If you don't mind, this should work. She grabs out
- 17:16Speaker 2: a flare gun. There are blue flare gun.
- 17:20Speaker 1: She says.
- 17:21Speaker 2: We shoot red in the sky when there's trouble, and
- 17:23Speaker 2: then blue when there's when things have calmed down. But
- 17:28Speaker 2: we never use the blue ones because it's dumb. So
- 17:32Speaker 2: I'll fire the blue one if I need you.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Great idea, officer. I'll keep my eyes up.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Thank you. Rachel. Rachel, come in over. Yep, everything is
- 17:45Speaker 1: okay back at the precinct.
- 17:48Speaker 4: Yeah, so some problems in a colorad of North with
- 17:52Speaker 4: the police just surrounding the mayor's office and Coso's gone
- 17:57Speaker 4: a wall. But things are at least calm, no bullets flying.
- 18:01Speaker 4: How's it back at the Crazy Hut?
- 18:04Speaker 1: Yeah? You still subdued, Shay? Maybe uh changed?
- 18:10Speaker 2: You got turned into a fire slug.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Yeah we didn't see it, oh man. Yeah, but if
- 18:16Speaker 1: any of the officers there could be spared to come
- 18:18Speaker 1: pick up these gorilla men and the doctor, yeah, I'm.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Sure I'll I'll get some of New Babbel's finest on it.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Can you pick up some salt in case we run
- 18:30Speaker 2: into Shay?
- 18:31Speaker 1: I wonder if that would work.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I can grab a bag, grab some salt. Yeah, you
- 18:37Speaker 2: are able to talk to Elane to get a couple
- 18:39Speaker 2: officers over to this building where doctor Moreau's workshop was.
- 18:46Speaker 2: It takes them a minute to get there. In the meantime,
- 18:48Speaker 2: before they even get there, the fog in the tank
- 18:53Speaker 2: that the boy is starts to dissipate and settle down
- 18:58Speaker 2: in the water, and the water starts to drain. The
- 19:05Speaker 2: boy falls to his knees.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Food's ready, Dang.
- 19:11Speaker 3: I'll push like the button I perceived to be the
- 19:14Speaker 3: open tube of button.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't work, and Quanta, you just you're just
- 19:20Speaker 2: opening with electric powers.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:23Speaker 1: I think we I think we broke that. Mmm, there
- 19:26Speaker 1: you good, you good? Over there, kid kneel in front
- 19:29Speaker 1: of the door.
- 19:30Speaker 2: The boy grabs the cords, rips them off of his body.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Little electrodes takes the mask off his face that was
- 19:38Speaker 2: allowing him to breathe in the water.
- 19:41Speaker 5: Mm hmm, majesty, uh huh, some call me that, how
- 19:50Speaker 5: muh ah nights nights three times.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Well, there are only two of you.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Well we also got and mister Crinkles, yes, by the way, yeah,
- 20:04Speaker 1: I have some.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Well you want the good news are the bad news?
- 20:09Speaker 3: I had drape a paper blanket around him and his shoulders.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 20:14Speaker 2: He grabs the paper, brings it close. As he does,
- 20:19Speaker 2: and his shoulders roll in. You start to see hair,
- 20:25Speaker 2: cat hair springing off of them, growing out of his
- 20:30Speaker 2: shoulders as they transform. For a minute, that's all you
- 20:34Speaker 2: see for now. But he says, if there's bad news,
- 20:38Speaker 2: I'll hear it.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Okay.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Well, the bad news is you're you got cat DNA
- 20:47Speaker 3: and you now.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Where is where is.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Mountains?
- 20:56Speaker 1: Oh? You named it?
- 20:56Speaker 3: I renamed it, mister Crinkles, here he is. I'll throw
- 20:59Speaker 3: a lot of paper out and the cat manifests had
- 21:02Speaker 3: to pull the soul out so it didn't get all
- 21:04Speaker 3: jumbled up with your soul, and also the soul of
- 21:07Speaker 3: the god of decay didn't want to fuck it up.
- 21:10Speaker 2: His eyes wide and then he bears his mouth where
- 21:14Speaker 2: you see sharp cat teeth. A shame a friend of
- 21:20Speaker 2: mine for quite some time.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Oh, I was going to say that was the good news.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Is that the cats? It's still okay, It's just it's
- 21:28Speaker 3: paper now.
- 21:30Speaker 2: He kneels and puts out a hand for the cat
- 21:33Speaker 2: to come to him, and it does. They're familiar and
- 21:36Speaker 2: he bets its strange paper head. Then is there bad news?
- 21:41Speaker 1: Oh? The bad news was.
- 21:42Speaker 3: That your DNA got all crapped up with a cat.
- 21:45Speaker 3: But I think really we've resolved everything else we can.
- 21:49Speaker 3: If you're feeling okay, we can take you back to
- 21:51Speaker 3: your kingdom.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Is this you learned about your ancient spirit? Does that
- 21:58Speaker 1: all still feel correct?
- 22:02Speaker 2: I am still Decay?
- 22:04Speaker 3: Oh yeah, and that's Quanta and Purple Phantom. Hello, hello, Sticky,
- 22:07Speaker 3: and I've renamed your cat mister. I'm on my way back.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Is everything normal over there, guys? As normal?
- 22:16Speaker 1: Yeah? For us? Yes? Yep? Did you get salt?
- 22:19Speaker 4: I just picked up a bag from outside of a
- 22:21Speaker 4: melos so nice.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Yeah, just like little salt packets or something. Anyway, Now
- 22:26Speaker 1: I got a giant bag of salt. Oh oh yeah, sure.
- 22:31Speaker 2: The boy glances over and sees doctor Moreau, and as
- 22:36Speaker 2: he does, you see his anger flare up on his face,
- 22:39Speaker 2: and then his entire body turns.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Cat like.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Paws grow out of his hands, and ears spring up
- 22:49Speaker 2: out of his own boy ears, And he is a
- 22:52Speaker 2: sleek black cat in front of you, but the size
- 22:56Speaker 2: of a of a boy, about a ten year old boy.
- 23:00Speaker 3: We've already, we've taken care of the doctor. We're gonna
- 23:03Speaker 3: we're gonna head him over to the authorities. No need
- 23:05Speaker 3: to turn him into a skeleton or anything. I don't
- 23:08Speaker 3: think this one.
- 23:10Speaker 1: The voice hisses out of the boy, out of the king.
- 23:15Speaker 2: This one torments and tortures, varnishes and names. The boy
- 23:27Speaker 2: walks up, sharp claws come out of his paw.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I grab his wrist.
- 23:35Speaker 2: He looks back at you swiftly.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Hi, hi h. I don't. I can't deny that justice
- 23:43Speaker 1: is yours. But there's a lot of other people he hurt,
- 23:48Speaker 1: and I think they deserve some justice too, And we're
- 23:51Speaker 1: hopeful that maybe our city could give that to them.
- 23:55Speaker 3: We've already destroyed his research. He's gonna wither away in
- 23:59Speaker 3: a prison and selling obscurity is hims being alive is
- 24:03Speaker 3: more of a punishment than killing him.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Both of you make a coax check here. I'm going
- 24:09Speaker 2: to roll against his guts thirteen six I rolled to
- 24:14Speaker 2: eight is pau starts in your hand, Quanta, as he
- 24:21Speaker 2: doesn't listen to you at first and attempts just to
- 24:24Speaker 2: bring his claws down into the temple of doctor Moreau.
- 24:28Speaker 2: He looks at the two of you, then as you
- 24:30Speaker 2: stop him again, just says you must understand. The offense
- 24:36Speaker 2: this man has done to me and to others is
- 24:41Speaker 2: a mark on what I am.
- 24:45Speaker 1: You mean you carry it with you.
- 24:48Speaker 3: We do have been changed, and you could look at
- 24:53Speaker 3: it like a curse or as a blessing. It's up
- 24:59Speaker 3: to you.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I think I could speak for the phantom and I
- 25:02Speaker 1: when sometimes it's both or often it's both. Mister Crinkles
- 25:08Speaker 1: is like rubbing on his leg.
- 25:10Speaker 2: If you can promise that he will not continue his work,
- 25:16Speaker 2: I will leave him.
- 25:17Speaker 1: We promise, Quanta. You want to just to be safe,
- 25:21Speaker 1: You want to just like blast this dude's brain.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Just like just obligously just give you the bottom eyes
- 25:29Speaker 3: just a little the bottomy.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Quanta gets a thousand yards to hear.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Just give him what if you I know you've you
- 25:37Speaker 3: accidentally made me go completely blind? What if you just
- 25:39Speaker 3: gave him, like, I don't know, what's what's a bad number?
- 25:43Speaker 3: Twenty twenty forty? I don't Is that better than regular?
- 25:46Speaker 1: What?
- 25:46Speaker 2: What did you just give him, like a real high
- 25:48Speaker 2: prescription glasses?
- 25:50Speaker 1: I could I can at least like temporarily, try to
- 25:53Speaker 1: do something temporary.
- 25:54Speaker 3: If you're not comfortable doing it, it's fine. His research
- 25:58Speaker 3: is sure. I mean, he's that's fine.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I think if if that's something the city wants, I
- 26:05Speaker 1: could do that.
- 26:06Speaker 3: Oh, you want to do it like within the law,
- 26:08Speaker 3: some sort of regulatory process to brain blast dudes.
- 26:11Speaker 1: At least right now this time.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Hey, it's okay, we all get the yips. We'll brain
- 26:19Speaker 3: blast him later when we get approval from the new maid.
- 26:23Speaker 3: She made a super villain by accident by brain blasting
- 26:27Speaker 3: this other lady. You know, you get it right, You've
- 26:30Speaker 3: accidentally decayed someone into a skeleton before something, and you know.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Everyone that I have decayed their only value was to
- 26:38Speaker 2: be a part of the land again.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Whoa.
- 26:43Speaker 3: See, you should adopt some of that confidence, overturning the
- 26:48Speaker 3: fuckers into mushrooms. What of these Yeah, but those are fuckers.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Angel wasn't a fucker, She's just a person.
- 26:54Speaker 2: What of these two? He points to the gorilla man
- 26:57Speaker 2: and the man gorilla.
- 26:58Speaker 3: At least one of them is kind of a man.
- 27:01Speaker 3: I think it's the one with a gorilla head. Yeah okay,
- 27:04Speaker 3: but the other one's a gorilla, which is also They're.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Smart, Reggie, Reggie, Reginald.
- 27:09Speaker 2: The priest, and I will heal them. Oh nice, he
- 27:12Speaker 2: got it. He goes and he grabs one over his shoulder,
- 27:17Speaker 2: the other over his other shoulder, and starts running towards
- 27:21Speaker 2: the edge of the building.
- 27:23Speaker 1: If you could do that, there are more of them.
- 27:25Speaker 2: We will find them all and heal them all. He
- 27:28Speaker 2: smashes out of the window, jumps into the night sky,
- 27:32Speaker 2: which it is night now, and falls down all the way,
- 27:36Speaker 2: crashing into the asphalt.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Did he land on his feet? And yeah?
- 27:43Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I don't know about you. I could use
- 27:47Speaker 3: some pizza hub. I'm hungry.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Yeah, we better order in though, so we can watch
- 27:52Speaker 1: this guy. Oh yeah, I look for a cube to
- 27:55Speaker 1: order in some pizza hub. Hey you guys ordering, Hey
- 27:58Speaker 1: JAMMYR bring it?
- 27:59Speaker 3: I mean ragel. I'm in bast a pizza hub. I'm
- 28:04Speaker 3: almost back. Could you turn around real quick?
- 28:10Speaker 1: So there's a goober driver within five minutes, the best
- 28:12Speaker 1: so goober driver. Yeah, Jamir is a speed skating now.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Through the sky with a a sack of salt thrown
- 28:22Speaker 4: over his shoulder, going from one small flight disc on
- 28:27Speaker 4: one foot to the other, trying to get back and
- 28:31Speaker 4: if I if I can't, I'd love to dive through
- 28:33Speaker 4: the same hole left by the child.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Absolutely, Jimir comes back with no pizza, but a giant.
- 28:43Speaker 4: I brought the salt. Did you guys lose the kid?
- 28:46Speaker 4: What's the salt for the slug?
- 28:48Speaker 2: Oh?
- 28:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I totally forgot about that.
- 28:52Speaker 3: If we run into the slug, the fire slug is
- 28:57Speaker 3: just a possibility.
- 28:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought you found him cooking in here. Just
- 29:02Speaker 4: doctor Morrow said, okay, this might be good to have. Yeah, big, big,
- 29:07Speaker 4: five pound bag of sault seems good.
- 29:09Speaker 1: This is big.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Is the child old the old the old babyman?
- 29:17Speaker 3: Do you see okay, old babyman is is Yeah, he
- 29:21Speaker 3: created that hole you just flew through.
- 29:22Speaker 2: He's doing great. He's got cat powers.
- 29:24Speaker 3: He carried the two gorilla guys, said he was going
- 29:26Speaker 3: to cure them, great news, said he.
- 29:28Speaker 1: And the priestess could fix them. Well, best of luck.
- 29:33Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, so we're cool, just letting that keep going, right,
- 29:40Speaker 4: the Little Lost Child mythical island in the wilderness outside
- 29:48Speaker 4: of the city. I'm I'm at peace with leaving that continue.
- 29:52Speaker 4: Are you guys chill with that as well?
- 29:55Speaker 1: Yeah? I'm fine with it.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Very convenient that you're okay with it, considering your powers
- 29:59Speaker 3: don't work in their little bit. Yeah, do anything to
- 30:04Speaker 3: stop them.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Well, I'm part of a team that is not bound
- 30:09Speaker 4: by my one limitation. I'd like to not keep mentioning
- 30:13Speaker 4: I I nudged doctor Moreau to make sure he's unconscious.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I think leaving him alone. I mean, our city is, yeah,
- 30:24Speaker 1: on the brink of war.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Maybe seem to.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Be number one. Yeah, with that, the city is.
- 30:33Speaker 4: I don't know, guys, We're we're I know we're doing
- 30:36Speaker 4: the right thing, but the city's falling apart. Colorado North
- 30:42Speaker 4: is cut off. Police in Colorado South are going completely
- 30:48Speaker 4: rogue is in a different direction. It's it's not looking good.
- 30:54Speaker 4: If I'm honest, No.
- 30:57Speaker 1: I couldn't have been easy. Huh. I wish just putting
- 31:00Speaker 1: out the information would fix everything.
- 31:04Speaker 3: We'll have to make a stand. Get out there in
- 31:08Speaker 3: the streets, do something.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I think you're right.
- 31:12Speaker 2: You guys, get your pizza.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Can you print a twenty for hey?
- 31:18Speaker 4: Here?
- 31:18Speaker 1: Go keep a change.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Thanks, man, it's got my face on easy that it's awesome.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Yeah, spend that way.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Okay, you guys get your pizza. The cops come take
- 31:30Speaker 2: Moreau and as they're walking away, you hear Dirk in
- 31:34Speaker 2: your earpiece. Come in team, come in over here, sir, Yeah,
- 31:41Speaker 2: we're in over We're in over our heads here, sir, sir.
- 31:46Speaker 2: There is someone here at Jamior's house.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Oh is it? Is it? Manny? Is it mister Ellington? Yes?
- 31:54Speaker 2: Well, I have not spoken with him. He's waiting on
- 31:57Speaker 2: the porch. Maria brought him tea. He asked him to
- 32:00Speaker 2: come in, and he said he'd wait on the porch.
- 32:04Speaker 1: It looked to Jamiir, is Jackie ready for a fitting?
- 32:08Speaker 1: We'll see. Let's go.
- 32:10Speaker 2: You guys head home. I'm assuming you go through the
- 32:14Speaker 2: tunnels and the nest into Jamir's house.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Time floating a cardboard pizza box behind this cardboard paper,
- 32:22Speaker 3: nice paper control pizza boxes.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Guys, such a cool pal I want it? Can I
- 32:27Speaker 1: try to ride on it? Yeah?
- 32:29Speaker 3: Can you serve? Yeah, Jamiir's riding on a flight star.
- 32:32Speaker 3: You're riding on a pizza box. I'm levitating.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Nice.
- 32:36Speaker 2: You come to your own front door from the inside, Jamir.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Jamir h.
- 32:45Speaker 4: Takes his breath, rolls back his shoulders, stands up straight.
- 32:52Speaker 4: It walks up.
- 32:53Speaker 2: As you open your door, you look out and you
- 32:56Speaker 2: see that Manny has moved from your porch where there
- 32:59Speaker 2: is a vaporing cup of tea there, and he has
- 33:03Speaker 2: moved out into the street. He has on a large
- 33:08Speaker 2: coat with a collar that comes up to about his cheekbones,
- 33:14Speaker 2: and a a noosy cap like a flat brim cap.
- 33:19Speaker 2: A cane still in his hand. But he's trying to
- 33:23Speaker 2: be a little incognito here, trying not to be seen.
- 33:28Speaker 2: But there is a girl who has fallen down on
- 33:32Speaker 2: her scooter, and Manny's just saying, it is late for
- 33:37Speaker 2: you to be out. You should be home, as he
- 33:41Speaker 2: helps her stand up and pushes her on her way.
- 33:45Speaker 2: He looks back as he sees the door open. Jamr Yeah,
- 33:48Speaker 2: and he smiles.
- 33:49Speaker 4: It's open, just a crack and I lock eyes with him,
- 33:54Speaker 4: and then I still in COSTU leave the door cracked
- 33:57Speaker 4: open as I turn it, take a set inside, waiting
- 34:01Speaker 4: for him to return.
- 34:03Speaker 2: He comes on in, he looks around. So you have
- 34:09Speaker 2: outed me to the city. Yep, all according to plan.
- 34:14Speaker 4: We thought that, we thought that the lies that were
- 34:17Speaker 4: put out earlier could only be fought with truth.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Plus the rest of the council.
- 34:22Speaker 3: It would be jumping down your throat if you were
- 34:24Speaker 3: the only one nut named agreed.
- 34:27Speaker 2: These are all points that have occurred to me, and
- 34:30Speaker 2: I think you've done the right thing.
- 34:33Speaker 1: I'm glad it had to be done.
- 34:36Speaker 2: I will make my own statement to the press affirming
- 34:40Speaker 2: all of the horrendous things that you revealed to the
- 34:43Speaker 2: city and outing myself.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Yeah we are I mean we are sorry though, just
- 34:51Speaker 3: collateral damage, absolutely, and given the information you had, it's
- 34:55Speaker 3: worth getting that out than saving my name.
- 34:58Speaker 2: God will try to win the people back. We'll see
- 35:04Speaker 2: how it goes.
- 35:06Speaker 1: You know, maybe we can help with that, but no promises,
- 35:10Speaker 1: no offense. But there's more than your reputation on the
- 35:12Speaker 1: line right now.
- 35:14Speaker 2: I am not important. I am a servant and a benefactor.
- 35:19Speaker 2: You you are important, So well done. And to a
- 35:23Speaker 2: new mayor. He raises his cup of tea to.
- 35:27Speaker 1: A new mayor. I raise up Sticky, raise up a
- 35:31Speaker 1: slice of pizza. Hey, I know you know, we have
- 35:34Speaker 1: some other things to maybe discuss with you. But have
- 35:36Speaker 1: you seen technology like this before?
- 35:38Speaker 2: And who are you?
- 35:41Speaker 1: I put Sticky on the floor to let him.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Sticky trying to jump around with This is one working tread.
- 35:49Speaker 2: This is founding age tech. Most of this sort of
- 35:53Speaker 2: tech was deemed unnecessary when the day showed up.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Oh, I would never think unnecessary. What about this? Have
- 36:03Speaker 1: you ever seen anything like this before?
- 36:05Speaker 3: And I hold up the paper cat by its armpits,
- 36:08Speaker 3: just thrust it into his face.
- 36:11Speaker 2: I have not seen it.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Wait, you kept the cat? Oh yeah, it's bound. It's
- 36:18Speaker 3: bound to the book its soul is. I don't think
- 36:20Speaker 3: it can go very far from me. There's like a
- 36:21Speaker 3: little paper ticker connected thread between the cat and the book.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Many things you're saying don't make sense to me. But
- 36:31Speaker 2: why have you called me here tonight?
- 36:34Speaker 1: Well, if you could fix this little guy, that'd be great.
- 36:37Speaker 1: But Rachel, we need some help with a suit.
- 36:43Speaker 2: We got a new everwing and we heard your other
- 36:46Speaker 2: man for that job. He smiles, his eyes light up twinkling. Yes, wonderful.
- 36:55Speaker 2: What modifications need to be.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Made mostly size fit.
- 37:00Speaker 4: Ah and if you could anyway make it.
- 37:04Speaker 1: I don't know how to say this, but beginner friendly.
- 37:07Speaker 4: We got a newer pilots also would be cool.
- 37:13Speaker 2: He nods to the beginner friendly party, just nods.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Missiles maybe like like a first.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Aid kit, lasers, laser satellites. We will do what we
- 37:28Speaker 2: can do. You have the dimensions of the new ever.
- 37:32Speaker 4: Wing we we uh, we can have you take some measurements,
- 37:38Speaker 4: Come on it.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Jackie comes in. She's found a bottle clava that one
- 37:42Speaker 2: of you guys has thrown off.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Is that my battleclava? Yes? It is.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Wanting to keep her own identity a secret.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Nice.
- 37:53Speaker 2: She looks up at Manny, who is a tall man. Yeah,
- 37:56Speaker 2: and she just says, what's up?
- 38:00Speaker 1: Manny?
- 38:00Speaker 2: He looks down, what's up? It is an honor to
- 38:04Speaker 2: meet you. And I know my father would be proud
- 38:07Speaker 2: to know that his work is going to continue to
- 38:11Speaker 2: save this city. He takes some measurements of Jackie with
- 38:17Speaker 2: his cane. He makes little etches in a little notches
- 38:20Speaker 2: in his cane. Now, is there anything you would want
- 38:26Speaker 2: to be different in the way the suit looks. She
- 38:30Speaker 2: stands there as Ellington does the measurements, and she says, oh, man,
- 38:38Speaker 2: I've thought about being a superhero so many times. I
- 38:41Speaker 2: can't believe like I always wanted, like, yeah, some yellow.
- 38:47Speaker 2: Maybe you could make the wings yellow and like black,
- 38:51Speaker 2: like yellow and black. Think that'd be awesome cool? I
- 38:56Speaker 2: love it, very cool. Manny says, very well, we will
- 39:00Speaker 2: do what we can. He looks at you all as always.
- 39:05Speaker 2: I'm honored to be invited here. I'm excited to continue
- 39:10Speaker 2: our relationship. Would you mind if I speak to Rachel
- 39:16Speaker 2: here alone?
- 39:21Speaker 1: Of course? Rachel, that's okay with you? Yeah? Sure? Are
- 39:25Speaker 1: you okay if we leave the premises or you want
- 39:28Speaker 1: us close by? No, you could go, IM good, Phantom,
- 39:33Speaker 1: I want to go see somebody. You want to come
- 39:34Speaker 1: with me?
- 39:35Speaker 4: Sure?
- 39:36Speaker 1: I got no job.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Hop on the pizza box.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I squat on it like a frog.
- 39:44Speaker 2: You guys tuop, time it up. You're left with Manny here.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Jackie trundles off.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Rachel.
- 39:53Speaker 2: I must say, I am honored to meet you. I
- 39:56Speaker 2: met the other two before and wanted to make your acquaintance.
- 40:03Speaker 1: I heard it's nice to beat you too.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Forgive me. I am troubled by a recurring dream due to.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Drowning.
- 40:19Speaker 2: The city filled to the walls with tons of water
- 40:27Speaker 2: bearing down on me. I try to lift it, push
- 40:37Speaker 2: it up.
- 40:40Speaker 1: Out.
- 40:42Speaker 2: All the sounds of the city gone. No wind, no traffic,
- 40:49Speaker 2: no hollering. We seek peace and quiet, but it's terror,
- 40:59Speaker 2: and that's all. I wake up soaking in my own sweat.
- 41:05Speaker 2: Is it this city or just a city? In your dream?
- 41:11Speaker 2: It changes? There are details that tell me I'm home.
- 41:19Speaker 2: There are thinkers Rigel that think within each of us
- 41:31Speaker 2: there is a self, a self that lives within our
- 41:37Speaker 2: subconscious that is closer to godhood, and the God within
- 41:46Speaker 2: us tries to give us hints of how to access
- 41:51Speaker 2: their self through our dream. Both are dream in consciousness
- 42:02Speaker 2: and in unconsciousness.
- 42:04Speaker 4: Started to sound like a church of the New Bebel
- 42:08Speaker 4: day Priest or something a bit m hm.
- 42:13Speaker 2: Yes, while they are misguided, I don't despise all of
- 42:18Speaker 2: their thoughts, but I don't know. I am a scientist.
- 42:23Speaker 2: I only bring that up to say that not long ago, Rachel,
- 42:29Speaker 2: you saved me from my recurring dream of drowning. How
- 42:40Speaker 2: a brilliant star came to me? A star seven pointed
- 42:44Speaker 2: and blue. I was trying to force up the water.
- 42:51Speaker 2: You comforted me, star said to me without word.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Well done. Now it's time for you to take a rest.
- 43:05Speaker 2: And the stars shot up through the water, the water
- 43:08Speaker 2: following and creating a tunnel, shot up into the heavens.
- 43:16Speaker 2: All I could do was grab a hold of your
- 43:22Speaker 2: mighty tail.
- 43:25Speaker 4: That's pretty specific. Have you ever had dreams like these before?
- 43:36Speaker 4: Only the ones that end in horror? Well, mister Ellington,
- 43:43Speaker 4: I think you were wrong before. I think you do
- 43:46Speaker 4: have a very important role to play in all of
- 43:50Speaker 4: these things, and we'll play it together.
- 43:54Speaker 1: He nods.
- 43:56Speaker 4: I stand up, walk over, extend a hand to him.
- 44:03Speaker 2: He shakes your hand. As he shakes your hand, Jamir,
- 44:07Speaker 2: do a sense check.
- 44:11Speaker 1: The sensors.
- 44:12Speaker 2: What kind of lotion does Manny Ellington?
- 44:15Speaker 1: Hughes?
- 44:16Speaker 2: Jamir? Add your strength?
- 44:18Speaker 1: He's been eating pizza. Hup too? About so great?
- 44:25Speaker 4: All right, here we go? Ooh eight plus four is twelve?
- 44:31Speaker 4: Hey he got an eight on the strength day. This
- 44:35Speaker 4: is a difficult check. I'm rolling a D twelve. I
- 44:40Speaker 4: rolled a three.
- 44:43Speaker 1: It's alovera.
- 44:45Speaker 2: As you shake his hand, Jamiir, has you've been getting
- 44:50Speaker 2: used to your new strength? You've had to figure out
- 44:53Speaker 2: how to not crush people's bones when you shake their hands.
- 44:58Speaker 2: You can tell than Manny Ellington is doing the same thing.
- 45:08Speaker 2: He says. I must say that I am covetous jealous.
- 45:14Speaker 2: You have let being within you overcome and break out
- 45:22Speaker 2: into your day today life.
- 45:25Speaker 1: May I ask how.
- 45:27Speaker 2: You did this? How did you become the brilliant star?
- 45:34Speaker 1: My way was by magic.
- 45:37Speaker 4: My friends had very different paths, and we've come to
- 45:41Speaker 4: understand from a deeper knowledge of the first Age of
- 45:47Speaker 4: heroes there are many paths to the destination you describe,
- 45:54Speaker 4: even through technology science. Yeah, Roger just looks at him hard.
- 46:02Speaker 4: He smiles, softening his features, nods. Well, what do they say?
- 46:09Speaker 4: The god in me greets and loves the god in you.
- 46:14Speaker 4: I'll take my leave now. I appreciate how well you've
- 46:18Speaker 4: taken this. No, it's a big change, and all I
- 46:26Speaker 4: can say is your city needed it, and I pray
- 46:31Speaker 4: one day it will thank you, so do I.
- 46:34Speaker 2: You guys make plans for him to get the everwing suit.
- 46:38Speaker 2: We don't have to do all that rigamarole. But you
- 46:41Speaker 2: get the everwings wing suit to him in a.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Duffel. Yeah, oh yeah, he's strong, he can carry it big,
- 46:51Speaker 1: old enough. Yeah.
- 46:53Speaker 2: He makes a show of well, no, I think you
- 46:58Speaker 2: just take it through. Yeah, tell me where to drive
- 47:00Speaker 2: it off man Ellington.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Yeah, blah blah blah.
- 47:02Speaker 2: You guys figure out how to give it, get it
- 47:04Speaker 2: to him, and he says, we'll be done as soon
- 47:06Speaker 2: as we can.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Blah blah blah. Where are you two going? I have
- 47:10Speaker 1: a guess it. Just got a boyfriend? Boyfriend? No, no,
- 47:16Speaker 1: what he's done? My boyfriend?
- 47:18Speaker 3: We spoke, metric player, you had a a pre prophet
- 47:23Speaker 3: prophetic dream about Yeah, well.
- 47:24Speaker 1: We spoke one time and then I watched him sleep
- 47:26Speaker 1: while I was naked. So so you had a boyfriend.
- 47:30Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 47:31Speaker 2: You're asking the absolute last person who would be.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Yeah, right, Why did I forget? Do you know if
- 47:40Speaker 1: jamiir is dated? Anybody? Hey, come in, Rachel, Rachel going
- 47:45Speaker 1: to bed. Guys, have a good night. Are you kissing anybody?
- 47:50Speaker 1: Is it? Is it? Maria? Good night? Jason? Okay, good
- 47:55Speaker 1: night over, good night, Jimir Over. What do you want
- 48:00Speaker 1: to do?
- 48:00Speaker 3: What are you gonna tell this guy you had like
- 48:03Speaker 3: a dream? You need to recruit him into the cause
- 48:06Speaker 3: of superhero.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll probably just show him that that we're like
- 48:10Speaker 1: each other, and that seems great. What what did you say? Nothing? Nothing? Ah,
- 48:20Speaker 1: this is weird.
- 48:21Speaker 2: This is weird.
- 48:23Speaker 3: The paper unfurls away from Jason's face. Hey, it's okay
- 48:28Speaker 3: to be weird. Yeah, okay, weird is good.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't want to be normal. No. No, and
- 48:36Speaker 1: he was nice to me.
- 48:38Speaker 2: He's not normal.
- 48:39Speaker 1: No, he's not so and he's probably really scared.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sure he'd be thrilled and relieved to have
- 48:45Speaker 3: someone else who's also not normal put their mouth on
- 48:47Speaker 3: his mouth.
- 48:50Speaker 1: Maybe maybe one day.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Okay, I mean, you get open with it, but do
- 48:54Speaker 2: whatever you want.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Is that a thing people do? Just open with that.
- 48:59Speaker 3: Once again, I have gotten to the base holding hands nice.
- 49:04Speaker 2: How is that like sweaty? Sweaty but nice?
- 49:09Speaker 1: Nectary? Mm?
- 49:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess all liquid's nectar to you.
- 49:12Speaker 1: Huh yeah, all liquid is nectar or dator dade, dator date,
- 49:18Speaker 1: the three liquids, water, nectar and dat dade. Well, I
- 49:22Speaker 1: can help you get into his apartment. Great, yeah, maybe
- 49:25Speaker 1: let's let's check check it out first, see see if
- 49:29Speaker 1: he's all right, and then take it's low. I don't
- 49:31Speaker 1: want to scare him. The ricon and then breaking an entry. Yeah,
- 49:35Speaker 1: but he might. You know, he's like us. He could
- 49:38Speaker 1: he could hurt us, he could hurt himself. So let's
- 49:41Speaker 1: be careful. You're in charge. I'm I'll be your sidekick. Thanks,
- 49:47Speaker 1: my wingman, my paper paper plane man.
- 49:50Speaker 2: If that's what you want to go with, that's why
- 49:52Speaker 2: I will.
- 49:53Speaker 1: Yes. Okay.
- 49:54Speaker 2: The two of you arrive at Josh's apartment building, and
- 49:59Speaker 2: you you remember where it is from your vision quant
- 50:02Speaker 2: and you go up to his window and sit on
- 50:05Speaker 2: a fire escape.
- 50:06Speaker 1: I sense in the apartment to see if he's there,
- 50:09Speaker 1: and also his state.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Yeah, he's there. Roll a sense check for the rest.
- 50:16Speaker 2: For the rest, it's an average check. I'm rolling a
- 50:19Speaker 2: D eight.
- 50:20Speaker 1: I'm all the three. I'm so nervous. I rolled to five.
- 50:24Speaker 2: You can't gather anything about his state, but you've sensed
- 50:26Speaker 2: that he's there.
- 50:27Speaker 1: Do I just should I just knock? Sure? You want
- 50:30Speaker 1: to throw a rock at his window?
- 50:31Speaker 2: I mean we're already up here, but you want to
- 50:32Speaker 2: throw a rocket?
- 50:33Speaker 1: It? No, just just knock.
- 50:36Speaker 2: You see him coming up to his own window, confused.
- 50:39Speaker 2: It is very late.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:40Speaker 2: He wipes the sleep out of his eyes, starts as
- 50:45Speaker 2: he sees you guys, looks confused and then comes to
- 50:49Speaker 2: the window, opens it up. What the fuck? What are
- 50:52Speaker 2: you guys doing?
- 50:54Speaker 1: Hi so late? I know, I'm so sorry the kissing hour?
- 50:59Speaker 1: Why I slap slap Paper Phantom on the shoulder. What
- 51:05Speaker 1: are you? What are you here for? Do you do
- 51:08Speaker 1: you remember me? Quanta?
- 51:10Speaker 2: Yes, Quanta, I remember you. Good to see you again.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Yeah, this is my friend, the paper Phantom.
- 51:14Speaker 2: Hello, hello Phantom.
- 51:18Speaker 1: I am how you been sleeping? I kind of like
- 51:25Speaker 1: try to look into the apartment to see if stuff
- 51:27Speaker 1: is like destroyed.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Or it is a classic kind of the whole room
- 51:32Speaker 2: ship is cut in half, holes are in walls, there's
- 51:38Speaker 2: like a leak springing from like something.
- 51:42Speaker 1: I love in there. Yeah, it looks like you've been
- 51:45Speaker 1: doing some renovating.
- 51:46Speaker 2: No, yeah, just to have been crazy lately. But yeah,
- 51:53Speaker 2: what can I do for you?
- 51:55Speaker 1: Oh? I was wondering what we could do for you?
- 52:01Speaker 1: It seems like you've been going through some changes. We
- 52:05Speaker 1: all not all, but you know, some of us go
- 52:08Speaker 1: through some changes in our bodies and they can be weird.
- 52:12Speaker 2: I'm twenty four. This is not puberty. What are you
- 52:15Speaker 2: guys talking about?
- 52:17Speaker 3: I'm gonna man, I'm gonna print out a paper hexagon
- 52:20Speaker 3: and Florida just to see what he does.
- 52:22Speaker 2: As the paper hexagon comes up, he uses his reaction,
- 52:26Speaker 2: holds up his forearm, and out of his forearm blooms
- 52:30Speaker 2: a small buckler shield created by hexagons, and your paper
- 52:36Speaker 2: sticks right into it.
- 52:39Speaker 1: Our hexagons are touching. I smile. The gods in us,
- 52:44Speaker 1: greet the god in you. Listen.
- 52:48Speaker 2: I don't know how you knew about this, but I'm
- 52:50Speaker 2: freaking out.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it's scary.
- 52:53Speaker 2: Get in here, Come on in. He opens the window fully,
- 52:55Speaker 2: and you guys enter in. He turns on the one
- 52:58Speaker 2: working lamp.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:00Speaker 2: I don't know how you know, but I'm so scared.
- 53:04Speaker 2: I destroyed everything in here. It hurt for a while.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Sometimes it still hurts. What's happening? What what's going on?
- 53:15Speaker 1: Maybe you should sit down?
- 53:17Speaker 2: He sits.
- 53:17Speaker 1: He sits on a good chair. I just sit on
- 53:19Speaker 1: the floor, everything else being shredded.
- 53:22Speaker 2: I just started poking around his apartment smoking.
- 53:26Speaker 1: Please don't smoke in here.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's going to really devalue the property now. No, no,
- 53:31Speaker 2: I'm a fireman. It's just it can be dangerous. I
- 53:34Speaker 2: don't know what kind of gas leak. I busted open
- 53:36Speaker 2: in here.
- 53:38Speaker 1: Fine, I don't know how you're gonna feel about this,
- 53:42Speaker 1: but I have it on good authority that you me
- 53:49Speaker 1: we're evos, not him.
- 53:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I've got a whole different thing going on. Do
- 53:55Speaker 3: you I can show you if you want later.
- 53:58Speaker 2: No, what sorry? What's it? What is an evil?
- 54:02Speaker 1: What's an evil? Yeah? Do you know the history?
- 54:05Speaker 2: I wasn't great in school.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Oh well, I'm not a scientist, but.
- 54:14Speaker 3: The Great Depression forced people to evolve due to the
- 54:18Speaker 3: turmoil and hard stress.
- 54:19Speaker 1: Of the world.
- 54:21Speaker 3: Oh, they sat up to space. It's kind of why
- 54:23Speaker 3: they like New Babbel is part of that.
- 54:25Speaker 2: It's you know, yeah, okay, I'm remembering some of that now.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:30Speaker 2: So what I'm in.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Your body's evolved to make what you can do. I'd
- 54:39Speaker 1: mine has evolved too, you know. Crackle crackle, and you're
- 54:44Speaker 1: a different thing. Yeah.
- 54:46Speaker 3: I've got a book that's a portal to a dimension
- 54:49Speaker 3: filled with annihilation. My dad lives in there, and this
- 54:52Speaker 3: is my cat, mister crinkles.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Okay, I'm glad I didn't get that.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Crackle he crinkles.
- 55:00Speaker 2: Okay, Well, what now, we want to recruit you to
- 55:05Speaker 2: our team.
- 55:06Speaker 1: Team if if really, I you know, if you want.
- 55:12Speaker 3: Some help, we want to help you, mold you, shape
- 55:14Speaker 3: you so you can be a soldier in a war.
- 55:16Speaker 1: What No, I have a job.
- 55:19Speaker 2: City, we need soldiers.
- 55:21Speaker 1: I should have brought you mirror, I mean, ijel.
- 55:23Speaker 2: I I'm sorry. I I have a job that I
- 55:28Speaker 2: like and I don't want whatever this is.
- 55:33Speaker 1: You said you're a firefighter. Yeah, I've got a I've
- 55:37Speaker 1: got a guy who fired. You can fight. I can
- 55:39Speaker 1: fight you.
- 55:40Speaker 3: Never mind what there's a guy who's we think he's
- 55:45Speaker 3: a fire slug, and I'm gonna need help.
- 55:47Speaker 1: I got a bunch of salt. Salt that's you know,
- 55:52Speaker 1: that's that's down that's down the road.
- 55:56Speaker 3: What if we said this job paid, it doesn't I
- 56:00Speaker 3: just start producing taller bills.
- 56:02Speaker 1: Listen, Josh, I just I'm the only one like me
- 56:08Speaker 1: that I know. Okay, but I and I found out
- 56:11Speaker 1: about you how.
- 56:17Speaker 2: I had.
- 56:18Speaker 1: I kind of talked to that the color sky, Mommy,
- 56:25Speaker 1: I got to talk to the sky, the spirit of
- 56:27Speaker 1: the earth, the planet. I think this is this is
- 56:32Speaker 1: going so bad.
- 56:33Speaker 6: I stand up and start walking around the road.
- 56:37Speaker 1: Oh my god, this is going so bad. I imagine
- 56:39Speaker 1: this so.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Differently listen, listener, Quanta, I'm glad you're doing what you're doing.
- 56:47Speaker 2: You too, paper Phantom, thank you. I want to help
- 56:52Speaker 2: the city in the way I have been and this. Yeah,
- 56:56Speaker 2: he shoots out more hexagons from both of his arms,
- 56:59Speaker 2: make small shields. Wow, it's just in the way when
- 57:05Speaker 2: I when my energy gets heightened, they just start popping out.
- 57:10Speaker 1: What if? What if we help you with that? What
- 57:12Speaker 1: if we figure it out?
- 57:14Speaker 2: How you don't you're the only one of the you
- 57:17Speaker 2: just said, you're the only kind of person you know,
- 57:19Speaker 2: like yourself. What's the what's the codebook here? What's the protocol?
- 57:24Speaker 1: We figure it out?
- 57:25Speaker 2: We're all weirdos. Let me think about it. Let me
- 57:30Speaker 2: let me think about it.
- 57:31Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what
- 57:35Speaker 1: to do.
- 57:36Speaker 3: When you decide you want to fight and you need help,
- 57:43Speaker 3: we'll be there. I hand a blank piece of paper.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Yeah, how about how about or or between those two
- 57:49Speaker 1: things rather than hand? Okay, if if you need help
- 57:52Speaker 1: or you want to help us, you can write on that. Okay?
- 57:57Speaker 3: Is it just hexagons? You ever make like parallel grahams
- 58:01Speaker 3: like a rambus?
- 58:03Speaker 2: I have not tried other wrappazoid just kind of what happens.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Is it metal?
- 58:10Speaker 2: No, I don't know what it is. It kind of
- 58:12Speaker 2: feels like bone.
- 58:14Speaker 1: May touch your bone? May I touch touch your bone?
- 58:18Speaker 2: I don't think it is bone, but yeah, you can
- 58:20Speaker 2: touch it.
- 58:21Speaker 1: I investigate the bone. Hexit bone briefly had turned on.
- 58:31Speaker 1: It was like turned a private channel. This is what
- 58:35Speaker 1: you're up to.
- 58:36Speaker 2: It feels very strange. It does kind of feel like bone,
- 58:42Speaker 2: but we are but stronger somehow, very light, very dense.
- 58:53Speaker 1: I could confirm it's not paper. Is it conductive?
- 58:56Speaker 2: No, it's strange it it doesn't stay outside of me
- 59:04Speaker 2: like I have to be connected to it.
- 59:06Speaker 1: Uh huh. I don't know. I don't know either, but again,
- 59:10Speaker 1: maybe we can figure it out together. The paper phantom
- 59:13Speaker 1: is really smart guy. He's he's read a lot. Really,
- 59:17Speaker 1: maybe you know it's all the shapes. Maybe there's someone
- 59:28Speaker 1: in history who was like you. I found out there's
- 59:32Speaker 1: someone who was kind of like me and what I
- 59:36Speaker 1: can do. And hey, I'm not I I am not
- 59:41Speaker 1: asking you to come come join us right away. I
- 59:48Speaker 1: when I found out what I could do, I I
- 59:51Speaker 1: spent a lot of time just fucking around and using
- 59:55Speaker 1: what I could do selfishly and then something real bad happened,
- 59:59Speaker 1: and I learned that what I can do could help
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: a lot of people on the road to me trying
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: to fix my mistakes. So maybe what you can do
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: could help people. I mean, you're already helping people. You're
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: already a hero. I wasn't before this happened to me.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: So maybe maybe you could teach us. Actually, I just
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: don't know.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: It's too much.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Sky Mommy and Evos and no one.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: Doing such a bad job. No, no, it's not your fault.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: I don't think it's a little bit my fault. Probably
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: I'm not. No, No, you guys are fine. I just
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: I'm overwhelmed. Yeah, I threw up a lot. Yeah so
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: did I.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: With great power comes throwing up quite a lot. That's
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: that's what I learned.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: Well, this isn't how I hope that I would see
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: you again, Quantum, Oh me.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: Either A big paper eyebrow raises on paper and Phantom's
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: blank face.
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: Shut up.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: I'm not just saying anything. Your eyebrows are saying loud things.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: What it's like floating above my head.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Your eyebrows are so loud. Right now, he.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Looks over to you, Quantum just goes if you promise
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: not to talk shop and not to bring him.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: Who what, mister crinkles.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: No, you phantom? Would you don't ever want to do
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: like a dinner or a lunch or I don't know,
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: you wear a mask. You can't just wear a mask
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: and I don't know.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Never mind. Oh yeah, yeah we can. We could do
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: it at dinner or a lunch. Okay, I can. I
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: can pull the cow down to eat.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Okay, cool, here's my number.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: He's got it. I know it. No, you've written it down.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: I know it. It wasn't for you, I got it. Okay.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Oh you're a four to one three. Okay, I need
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: to rest.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: I got work, yeah, in like four hours, right right.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I definitely pictured this going differently.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: Sorry it didn't meet your expectations, but I I'm just
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: it's so much, but yeah, I just kind of wanted
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: to see you again in a different way, and so
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: let's try that maybe, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Okay, goodbye, heay bye. Crawl out the.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Window, you guys out the window.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Oh my god, Oh my god, that was so bad.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: That was so terrible.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: What are you talking about? Oh god, what's wrong? It's
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: so bad? It wants to eat food with you? Is
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: that good? Yeah? But he it was like it was
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: so weird and awkward, and you know, was it?
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Oh my god, I'm so I'm so embarrassed. I like though,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: I like thought we would go in and he would
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: be like, you know, like huge relief that like we're
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: there to help him, and then he was like not
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: into that. And I don't know, I feel like an
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: idiot for thinking that that's that's what he would want.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: And no, he's just going through you know, superhero puberty
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: and he's got to figure it out. And you know,
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: I'm just gonna it's gonna be weird no matter what. Right,
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: you gotta prophesy. You already watched him sleep. I think
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: it did.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I didn't say that, did I Oh my god? Did
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I say that? You implied it heavily? But no, I
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: don't think you said it. Okay, I didn't talk about
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: being naked. Did I imply heavily implied nudity. I'm not
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: great socialis, but I am. Yeah. I mean you guys
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: were my brows were to the seat. Yeah, my god,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: Oh no, he's so much like ry Jols. Should have
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: brought him Jamir is like I'm.
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: Boring Jamir city cross leg and holding his blue pot.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Captain boy scout. I mean, I mean, hey, Jason honestly
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: look at us like he was Jammi or Rachel, like
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: he was already a good person. Yeah huh, and we're
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: just kind of idiots.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: Hey, I resemble that remark.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: What I'm saying. I'm like, Okay, you know Josh was
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: out there like he's already saving lives, and he didn't
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: he didn't have what we have.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: You know that's true. I think, look the so the
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: seed has been planted. And yeah, if we end up
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: doing a full blown war in the streets with the
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: Mayor's crub police force, yeah, good to have a parallelogram
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: in the mix. All I'm saying, you know, whatever, if
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: he helps, he helps, If he doesn't.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: You guys can eat lunch. Terrible a date.
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's such a you should feel bad about
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: I do.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: I feel bad about that too. I feel bad about
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: that too. Oh hey, I can't, like, I can't like
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: go to a restaurants like this. We've done it. I
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: look amazing.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean, like, hey, what color is embarrassed
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: In the signals of electrics.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Oh, it was like a I don't know, I want
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: to say fusia.
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: Yeah, like a bright pink kind of a thing like blushing.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I didn't. Oh, I should have been word
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: to do that, tried to, you know, be like, I
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: don't know what's cool?
- 1:05:50Speaker 6: Like yellow yeh yeah, piss ye confident, confident piss yellow gold,
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: piss yellow, pissing public confidence.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: I love it so bad. Could have been worse.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: You could have could have told me you accidentally killed
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: their dad?
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: Are you and Maria? What? No? Just that was the
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: most awkward situation I've been in recent.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: Yeah, you all can take a recovery rest as the
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: night us as the night falls. Did you mirror anything
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: you were doing before bad? Or you headed to bed?
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: Just one energy spending time with my pot for resting.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Energy is still pretty low, but I'm finally back up
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: to full HP. So a few days ago, what's up? Sorry?
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Oh nothing, I was just saying.
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: I was just gonna say I'm full everything.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Guys, whoa nice? You didn't have an embarrassing interaction with
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: your crush and that didn't give you power. It dipped
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: my energy.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: You just resting and sleeping, just replaying it over in
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: your We're going to jump to the night when you
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: said you would meet the Wraith. O good distraction, very cool.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: Jamiir left a note through Jason's typewriter that asked the
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: Wraith to meet in three days at three am or
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: something along those lines.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: I just remember. I think it was in comic scance. Yes, yeah,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: that's happened.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: Yeah, you come back to the disc that you have
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: figured out. That is a local teleportation disc that the
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: Wraith uses to get around the shoot quickly. It's three am,
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: it's dark. What are you guys doing when you get here?
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: I mean, Rachel, you said that they were so sneaky, right, yes,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: very I don't think there's any sneaking us sneaking up
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: on them based on what you've said.
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: No, oh no, I think we become respectful and yeah,
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: ready to have a conversation.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: With a legend, great, a living legend.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: I think it's like red light is the least disruptive
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: to like darkness and sleep, like your eyes, so like
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: light up the area with my suit, like the borders
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: of my scarf, and like lines through the suit light
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: up a red color. Very cool and just.
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: A glowing ember of a cigarette illuminates the way match
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: the bottom lid of the fedora as the red light
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: bounces off of the cloaks.
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: Jaber is just gonna have a flight star underneath twikling
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: spitting shedding blue light.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: Come up to this spot as such. You see there's
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: a small walkie talkie left on the disc.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Classic uh is a walkie talkie? Hold the gun after all.
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: Radel reaches down, picks up the walkie, depresses the button,
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: and says, this is ridual.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Are you there?
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: Wraith over it lets it go. You look around waiting
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: for a response. Push out my senses to roll a
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: sense check with your senses.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: Leaning against the wall, trying to look cool while this
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: is happening.
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: Yes, nine, this is a Titanic check. It will cost
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: you two energy quanta.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Wo. I do not have a lot of that. I
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: just had a flashback to talking to Joshua.
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: The raith got seventeen. You reach out, you don't sense anyone.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: You reach further, you don't sense anyone. You reach as
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: far as your sense goes, and it drains you and
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: you don't reach anyone. And then on the edge of
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: your feeling, you all look out towards as the shoot
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: moves into the city and becomes the station. Somewhere down
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: the line is a small flashlight that pings twice and
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: then you hear on the walkie talkie. Based on the
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: wind tonight, I could probably kill Tuia before you even
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: make it here, maybe three. So let's just stay where
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: you are and have nice talk.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: Ma'am. It is an honor to have this conversation.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: And that's where we'll end this episode of the Team
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: Up Play Show podcast.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Wait do we know it's a woman? Said?
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: I said her respectful, ma'am, based on my my lord knowledge,
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: but also my Johnny voice knowledge.
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Johnny's matronly kill you.
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: We're trying to reach her, You're trying to look cool,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: and she's just immediately the coolest. I could kill all
