Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherri Mackey
- 0:03Speaker 1: and it's time right now for today's word, greater levels,
- 0:09Speaker 1: greater faith. Philippians 1 and 6 says, he who began
- 0:12Speaker 1: a good work in you continue until the day of
- 0:17Speaker 1: Jesus Christ, perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.
- 0:23Speaker 1: You know, one thing you can count on in life
- 0:26Speaker 1: is that you will not stay where you are. God
- 0:29Speaker 1: is constantly growing us, stretching us, developing us, and moving
- 0:33Speaker 1: us into new seasons. Every new level brings new responsibilities,
- 0:38Speaker 1: new opportunities, new relationships, new challenges, and sometimes... new opposition.
- 0:44Speaker 1: You may have noticed that just when you finally get comfortable,
- 0:47Speaker 1: something changes. You step into a new position and suddenly
- 0:51Speaker 1: everybody has an opinion. You start a new business and
- 0:54Speaker 1: obstacles show up. You make a decision to grow spiritually
- 0:58Speaker 1: and distractions seem to multiply. Why? Because progress often attracts resistance.
- 1:05Speaker 1: The Apostle Paul understood this. In 1 Corinthians 16 and 9,
- 1:09Speaker 1: he said that a wide door of opportunity had opened
- 1:13Speaker 1: for him and there were many adversaries. Notice that the
- 1:17Speaker 1: opposition didn't mean the opportunity wasn't from God. Hello, somebody.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Sometimes we make the mistake of thinking if God opened
- 1:25Speaker 1: this door, everything should be easy. Well, not necessarily. A
- 1:30Speaker 1: God-ordained opportunity can still come with opposition. But here's the
- 1:34Speaker 1: good news. If God brought you to this new level,
- 1:38Speaker 1: he will give you the grace, the wisdom, the strength,
- 1:40Speaker 1: and the courage necessary to stand at this new level.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So don't allow resistance to make you question your calling.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Don't allow criticism to make you abandon your assignment. Don't
- 1:52Speaker 1: allow a difficult season to convince you that God has
- 1:55Speaker 1: forgotten you. Philippians 1 and 6 reminds us that God
- 1:59Speaker 1: who started the work in you is committed to completing it.
- 2:03Speaker 1: That means you're still under construction. You may not be
- 2:07Speaker 1: where you want to be, but thank God you're not
- 2:10Speaker 1: where you used to be. You're growing, you're learning, you're
- 2:12Speaker 1: becoming stronger. And sometimes the pressure you're experiencing is developing
- 2:18Speaker 1: the faith you'll need for the next level. So when
- 2:21Speaker 1: opposition comes, you stand firm. Pray harder, stay focused, keep
- 2:26Speaker 1: your heart right. Keep doing what God has called you
- 2:29Speaker 1: to do. And remember Romans 8, 37, we are more
- 2:34Speaker 1: than conquerors through him who loved us. The opposition may
- 2:38Speaker 1: be real, but so is your God. New level, new opposition,
- 2:43Speaker 1: but also new grace, new strength, new wisdom, and new victory.
- 2:49Speaker 1: God didn't bring you this far to leave you now. Lord,
- 2:52Speaker 1: thank you for every new opportunity and every new level
- 2:56Speaker 1: you're bringing us into. When opposition comes, keep us from
- 3:00Speaker 1: becoming discouraged or afraid. Give us wisdom to navigate every challenge,
- 3:05Speaker 1: strength to keep moving forward, and courage to stand firm.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Remind us, God, that you're still completing the good work
- 3:13Speaker 1: you started in us. We will not allow opposition to
- 3:16Speaker 1: make us abandon our assignment, and we trust you. We
- 3:19Speaker 1: believe you, and we declare that through Christ, we are
- 3:22Speaker 1: more than conquerors. In Jesus' name. Now that's your word
- 3:27Speaker 1: for today. Take it, apply it to your everyday life,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and you continue to be encouraged and inspired. It is.
- 3:33Speaker 1: The Early Morning Praise Party. I am Sherri Mackey.
