- 0:24SPEAKER_00: It's a truth serum.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Are you ready for your dose?
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: It's a truth serum.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: Are you ready for your dose?
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Good morning.
- 0:34SPEAKER_03: I always get thrown off when you start.
- 0:36SPEAKER_03: When you say the first word.
- 0:37SPEAKER_03: No, wait, no, no, it's okay.
- 0:38SPEAKER_03: You don't have to back down.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Yes, I'm here.
- 0:40SPEAKER_03: Good morning.
- 0:41SPEAKER_03: How's everyone feeling?
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: I'm feeling good.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: I'm feeling pretty good.
- 0:46SPEAKER_03: Good.
- 0:46SPEAKER_03: What any updates from this week?
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Honestly, no, but I I have a beef that's just been on my mind for a very long time.
- 0:58SPEAKER_03: Oh, she's got a bone to pick at 7 a.m.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Also, it's not with you.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Also, wait, hold on.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: This is not gonna be fun for the viewers on Spotify and Apple, but I did get you a little gift.
- 1:06SPEAKER_03: Well, you keep getting me gifts.
- 1:07SPEAKER_03: Can the gift start being in like thousands of dollars?
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 1:17SPEAKER_03: Oh how did you sneak these in here without me seeing it?
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Because I'm stealthy and I can sneak as Guys.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: That's fine.
- 1:25SPEAKER_03: You called yourself stealthy?
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: No, I almost said I was.
- 1:27SPEAKER_03: If someone ever said you're stealthy, it'd be my last day.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: No, yeah.
- 1:31SPEAKER_03: Go ahead and talk into that microphone.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:33SPEAKER_03: Guys, okay.
- 1:34SPEAKER_03: If you listen to the last episode, Southwest, if you're in a premiere seat, they started giving out these.
- 1:39SPEAKER_03: It's called Mexican wedding cookies by Siete, grain free.
- 1:44SPEAKER_03: These are so good.
- 1:45SPEAKER_03: You gotta refrigerate them a little bit.
- 1:47SPEAKER_03: They're a little powdery.
- 1:48SPEAKER_03: They like sometimes if you if you eat them like without a little water nearby, it can get a little a little a little drier than a Popeye's biscuit.
- 1:56SPEAKER_03: Truly.
- 1:56SPEAKER_03: These are so good.
- 1:57SPEAKER_03: Made with almond, almond flour, and coconut oil, if that means anything to you guys.
- 2:01SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 2:01SPEAKER_03: It doesn't mean anything to me.
- 2:02SPEAKER_03: I would eat it right now, but then here.
- 2:04SPEAKER_03: Wait, this can be our item of the day.
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: Guys, we're we're premiering something called the item of the day.
- 2:08SPEAKER_03: Do you want to explain it while I do it?
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: So for our item of the day, um, each week we're going to Or maybe item, maybe item of the week.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Item of the week.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: And so we're premiering what means the most to us that week.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: And so this week would have been our Baobao Birkins that we got from 80.
- 2:25SPEAKER_03: Oh, don't spoil the Baobao Birkins.
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: That's for me tomorrow.
- 2:27SPEAKER_03: Okay, so see how perfectly that that goes right there?
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:30SPEAKER_03: So that's so originally there was about some pompous branch there.
- 2:34SPEAKER_03: But we now each time we're gonna put something new there that we want to highlight.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:39SPEAKER_03: So thank you for those.
- 2:41SPEAKER_03: You're welcome.
- 2:41SPEAKER_03: If you guys get if you guys are rich enough to get a premiere seat on Southwest, you can get some Mexican wedding cookies.
- 2:47SPEAKER_03: Just kidding, I was not rich enough to go and I just asked to be moved.
- 2:49SPEAKER_03: Normalize asking for things.
- 2:51SPEAKER_03: That's gonna be my truth too at some point.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: Do not get fed.
- 2:53SPEAKER_03: Do not get fed, and baby, I've been fed.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:56SPEAKER_03: Um, not in a big way.
- 2:57SPEAKER_03: Um, but wait, what was your beef?
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Okay, so this is my beef, and I just need to get it off my chest.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: So on the first episode that we've ever done, seven, oh my gosh, eight weeks ago-ish, um, I was rear-ended by a 16-year-old on the way to Dom's house after the recording.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: I don't remember.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Um, we went to go edit.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: And I was rear-ended, and the thing is, is like I don't like interacting with people under 18.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: I know that sounds really random, but unless they're like my nanny kid, like I have an There's no reason to.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's no reason to.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not looking to hang out, you know?
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: And so with that, um, she was kind of shaken up, and it like the first person, you know that part on Sheridan um that curves around from Riverside up to Sheridan up to wherever.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: And with that, like the person in front of us stopped and um she I saw them stop, so I swerved to the side of the road and she hit them initially.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: And I think the first person in front may have like either had a still and hit two cars?
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she hit them first.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: No, literally, she hit them first, and they sped off because if I was a first car, I'd be like, Okay, license insurance, everything.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: But the first car sped off.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: So I was like, maybe they stole the car, they were borrowing their parents' car, something like that.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: They did not want to be seen, so they sped off, and she went after she hit them, she hit me, and that's why my bumper ended up being off of my forward focus.
- 4:27SPEAKER_03: So she hit these people, yes, kept driving and then hit you.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: No, no, she hit these people, she stopped and was freaking out.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: They kept driving because they when did you get hit?
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: I got hit whenever she hit them.
- 4:39SPEAKER_03: Oh, and then those people hit you.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: No, she oh, maybe.
- 4:42SPEAKER_03: Are we okay?
- 4:43SPEAKER_03: I'm asking, how did somebody rearrend two people at one time?
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: Not at one time.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: She hit the first person, and after she hit the first person, the car went over to the right where I was pulled off to the side.
- 4:54SPEAKER_03: So that the car that sped off hit you?
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: No, it was her.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: She hit them, they sped off.
- 4:59SPEAKER_03: I sped off this is too long.
- 5:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, keep going.
- 5:03SPEAKER_03: So, anyway, all these cars got rearrended.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: I came out and she was just really like nervous, and she's like, Yeah, the main person I hit like just sped off.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Okay, well, what's that gotta do with me?
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: License of registration.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: No, but with that too, I was just nervous to talk to her for some reason, and I was just kind of like, Well, you're shaking up, like you all obviously like live near here.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Those houses in Tulsa are like a million dollars.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: You know, it's like such a rich area over there.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: I was just like, Here, let me get your name and your phone number, or I not even name.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: I said, Let me just get your phone number and um we can be in a group text with your parents later.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Smart.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: So later on, I texted her.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: I said, Hey, um, this is the next day, or honestly, knowing me, probably a week later, I said, Hey, um, this is Lauren from The Accident.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Um, I said, Could you please like send me of your parents' number?
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't want to get you involved, or whatever.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: She said, I'm going on a cruise right now.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: We are boarding and we're we're about to be in the port.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: Whatever.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: She gave me this long story.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: She ate.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: And she's like, Would you mind if we handle this when we get back?
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: And whenever she said that, I was like, um, yeah, that's fine.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: I didn't think any ill intentions.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Dom, she's ghosted me for two months.
- 6:11SPEAKER_03: Oh, it's long cruise.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: Long cruise.
- 6:13SPEAKER_03: Worldwide cruise.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, did you stop in every single continent?
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: Like, no, I heard that she's still I heard she's still in the same kids.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: She's she is still in the same kids.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: And it's just made me increasingly angry.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: And I did get a new car.
- 6:25SPEAKER_03: Do you think her parents know?
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 6:27SPEAKER_03: Was there damage to her car?
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: Um, not really.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: I feel like she was like, do not ruin my cruise right now.
- 6:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 6:33SPEAKER_03: Like my parents cannot know about this.
- 6:35SPEAKER_03: We have a buffet ahead, too.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: Like she had a seafood boil to go.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: And so I would I'm I've just been increasingly angry every day.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: And I was like with my cousins the other day.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: I was like trying to file a police report like two months later because a detective can take a phone number and like really look it up.
- 6:53SPEAKER_03: Um I'm gonna add her to my list of people that I want to run into at the store.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: Okay, perfect.
- 7:00SPEAKER_03: I think you might run into like No, I have with my with my Bronco.
- 7:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, no.
- 7:03SPEAKER_03: Like she's six.
- 7:04SPEAKER_03: I have a list of people that I want to run into.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that we can have a word with them.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: She looks like her name would be like Logan, like Logan Ann or something like that.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: So, Logan, if you're if you're hearing this, your parents are hearing this, and your parents told you not to contact me, ghost me, block me, whatever.
- 7:20SPEAKER_03: You prayed on her downfall, and now Lauren has a new car.
- 7:22SPEAKER_03: Now what?
- 7:23SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: And now I got a monthly payment, so I'm so mad at you.
- 7:26SPEAKER_03: Anyway, I hate her.
- 7:27SPEAKER_03: That reminds me of when I totaled my car.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:30SPEAKER_03: Um, he's getting a shout-out two weeks in a row.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: I was with Trevor.
- 7:34SPEAKER_03: We were actually on our way to have a discussion as to why we were not gonna be friends anymore.
- 7:39SPEAKER_03: That's what's so funny.
- 7:40SPEAKER_03: We literally, this is I don't know if this is just like so Tulsa, but like we made plans to go to Cirque Coffee R IP.
- 7:47SPEAKER_03: I hate Circ.
- 7:48SPEAKER_03: Go talk wet rag coffee.
- 7:49SPEAKER_03: Not right now, not right now, not right now.
- 7:50SPEAKER_03: Don't put me through.
- 7:51SPEAKER_03: $10 wet rag.
- 7:52SPEAKER_03: Hey.
- 7:53SPEAKER_03: At the time, it was amazing.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:56SPEAKER_03: Um, me and Trevor were on our way to Cirque to discuss how we were not going to be friends anymore.
- 8:00SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
- 8:01SPEAKER_03: Like we were just gonna address the elephant in the room.
- 8:03SPEAKER_03: There literally wasn't even a beef, we just like weren't talking.
- 8:05SPEAKER_03: And then on the way there, he told me to look up the artist Clara, which Claro, if you're if you ever hear this, just know that I got real deep-rooted beef with you.
- 8:13SPEAKER_03: We have lore that she's that she doesn't even know about.
- 8:16SPEAKER_03: He made me look up Clara and um because at that time, Claire, that summer, Claro was like today's jeans short.
- 8:26SPEAKER_03: Like it was just like the thing that everyone was doing and posting.
- 8:29SPEAKER_03: And um, so I was looking up Clara, and as I look her up, I did completely rearrent a car.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness.
- 8:36SPEAKER_03: And that car rearrented the car in front of them.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness.
- 8:40SPEAKER_03: So it was a dun dun.
- 8:42SPEAKER_03: The guy in the front happened to recognize me and he was like, Hey, I have no damage to my car.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna claim this.
- 8:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:48SPEAKER_03: He goes, but the car that you rearrented, they the car, their car is not registered and they have no valid driver's license and no insurance, anything.
- 8:57SPEAKER_03: So yeah, completely totaled my car.
- 8:58SPEAKER_03: Could total my Crestor 300.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness.
- 9:01SPEAKER_03: Um, airbags and everything.
- 9:02SPEAKER_03: Me and Trevor literally it saved our friendship though.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 9:05SPEAKER_03: Literally, and then actually he left me there.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: Are you serious?
- 9:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I need to talk to him about that.
- 9:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I literally re-rented my own.
- 9:10SPEAKER_03: So, what happened to the second car?
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: I had no insurance and everything.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: Did they get their car fixed?
- 9:14SPEAKER_03: I I did not follow up with them.
- 9:15SPEAKER_03: I I have I don't know.
- 9:16SPEAKER_03: My dad, at the time I had a real like a more of a relationship with my parents.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Okay, so they were taken care of, you just don't know how.
- 9:22SPEAKER_03: Oh, of course.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: Okay, I just want to clarify that that you just didn't leave them.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:26SPEAKER_03: Oh no, no, no.
- 9:26SPEAKER_03: I stayed, oh no, no, no.
- 9:28SPEAKER_03: We exchanged information.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Like boom, okay.
- 9:30SPEAKER_03: They just didn't really have any information to share.
- 9:33SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 9:33SPEAKER_03: I had information.
- 9:34SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: So the person who knew you wasn't getting anything out of this deal.
- 9:37SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, their car also was not damaged.
- 9:39SPEAKER_03: They were like, I'm not gonna force this now.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: You're just like it fixed our friendship, but um the car in front of me is just jacked.
- 9:45SPEAKER_03: Oh no, no, no, no, no, that was fine.
- 9:47SPEAKER_03: But no, I didn't, I have not listened to Claro since it was probably seven years ago.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no car I needed.
- 9:53SPEAKER_03: And then I sat there, and then Trevor left me there with my tolled car, um, which is fine.
- 9:59SPEAKER_03: Um, but it did save our friendship.
- 10:01SPEAKER_03: Literally, the airbags went off.
- 10:02SPEAKER_03: We looked at each other.
- 10:03SPEAKER_03: And we both that week had gotten new shoes and we said, Are your shoes okay?
- 10:08SPEAKER_03: Like that was our for the first thing that we said.
- 10:10SPEAKER_03: Car totaled.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: I love you guys.
- 10:13SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, no, it saved our friendship.
- 10:15SPEAKER_03: So also see, like if you're about to have a falling out with somebody that you not falling out, but if you're growing apart from somebody that you do love, just total your car.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just a little bit.
- 10:24unknown: Yeah.
- 10:24SPEAKER_03: So that's today's episode.
- 10:26SPEAKER_03: I'm just kidding.
- 10:26SPEAKER_03: Okay, should we get into our truth serums?
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: We should.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: So our truth serums, if you don't know, is when we share just something that get off our chest.
- 10:36SPEAKER_03: Um, do you want to go first?
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: My truth serum today is to learn to bend yourself back in shape.
- 10:45SPEAKER_03: Like physically, like losing weight?
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: No.
- 10:47SPEAKER_03: I'm just kidding.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: No, because when you learn to lose weight.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: Learn to lose weight.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: No, learn to like when you're a bit out of shape, you gotta bring yourself back.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: You're the only one.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: And I had to learn this with the way my brain works.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: I when I used to picture something, and if it did not go exactly how I had planned.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: Romanticizing.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: Yes, exactly.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: Everything in my head.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: I had ran like I'm about to have like my 15th, uh, 14th, 15th, like Valentine's Day, like this next year with Christoph.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: I ruined maybe 11 of them, probably because he did everything right.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: But when you picture something, like one year it was um he called like two days before to get a reservation, and the reservations were all booked.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: And though it should have been like a hey, like, just be mindful for next time, just like plan better for next year.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Because when you tell Christoph something, he'll remember it and do better.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: I didn't have to then have carry in such a disdain for the event, you know what I'm saying, for two more days and like let it ruin and be like, oh, this is a core issue with you.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: This is like, you know what I'm saying?
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Like, you just need to be able to snap yourself out of um a bad mood, out of a funk out of the way.
- 12:02SPEAKER_03: For the sake of whatever you're in.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: For the sake of whatever you're in.
- 12:04SPEAKER_03: There are some times that I think it's worth it to continue to stay bent out of shape in a moment where there's nothing worth salvaging.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 12:12SPEAKER_03: Like, something that I would say is worth salvaging is a day at La Llapalooza.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: So please, please share with the cloud.
- 12:22SPEAKER_03: Guys, here's the thing.
- 12:22SPEAKER_03: Like me and Lauren, if and when we fight, it is like I don't want anyone to think that we have like this like toxic friendship, because we don't.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: No, it's nothing like you see on real, like real housewives.
- 12:34SPEAKER_03: No, there's never jabs, it's never personal, it's never like mean.
- 12:37SPEAKER_03: Sometimes it can be a little sometimes it can I can get aggressive, but like we fight like a brother and sister would sometimes.
- 12:44SPEAKER_03: Like, and it's not even often.
- 12:47SPEAKER_03: Um, but did I like scream in her face at Lollapalooza?
- 12:52SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 12:52SPEAKER_03: That is just like the fact of the matter.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: Did he keep getting like charged up by the amount of people like circle around the room?
- 12:59SPEAKER_03: Okay, that is not true.
- 13:00SPEAKER_03: Okay, I just didn't feel the need to pause and leave to go because also where were we gonna go private?
- 13:05SPEAKER_03: There's people in every nook and cranny of that place.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: No, I agree.
- 13:07SPEAKER_03: So yeah, we did get in like a little bit of like a fight, but here's the thing the goal was always resolution with us, and we know that even if a moment gets like a little like heated.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: And Emerson, I will say like Emerson was over there, and I love someone who can just mind their business because Emerson.
- 13:22SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna go to the bathroom.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Emerson, yeah, she was in line trying to get this free thing.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: At Lollapalooza, there's a ton of free activation.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: She was in line, everyone in the line could hear him screaming at like yelling at my face.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: And she looked was looking over and then was like, actually, let me get out of line and go to the bathroom because I'm just too close to like.
- 13:38SPEAKER_03: And also, I would love to clarify, I was not like screaming in her face to where it's like up like in like it, like it was not like that.
- 13:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 13:45SPEAKER_03: Like we were like, we had a normal distance apart, and I was loud.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: And I was just like, okay, keep your voice down.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: He's just like, I'm not going to change.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: I was like, no.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: You're like, no.
- 13:53SPEAKER_03: I was Because something about me is I love radical honesty, not like to a point where it's like, this is how I feel, so I'm gonna say it, but I'm also okay if like the other person does too.
- 14:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 14:01SPEAKER_03: But the reason we bring this up is of course there was resolution, but then afterwards it's like it's worth it to be like, wait, okay, neither of us have bad intentions here.
- 14:10SPEAKER_03: That was like obviously that was like annoying and like ang and angrying, yeah, but like anger inducing, angrying.
- 14:17SPEAKER_03: I don't know, anger inducing.
- 14:19SPEAKER_03: But it's like the fact of the matter is we are at Lollapalooza.
- 14:21SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 14:21SPEAKER_03: So bent back into shape.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: I bent back into shape because in that moment I was just like, you know, what I did genuinely, like I it I was all the way wrong.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: I was out of line, genuinely, and what I had said, I had said something in front of a group of friends, whatever, I made the mistake.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: So I'm just like, do I stand 10 toes down on this and get embarrassed by being yelled at and make it worse by saying things I don't mean?
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: There was things I was wanting to say that were completely untrue of how I felt, but just would justify the embarrassment that I was feeling.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: But in that moment I said, Hey, actually, I need to let you know that I am wrong in this situation, no matter how it's like going out.
- 14:58SPEAKER_03: Like because there's nothing worse than like somebody who you don't do this.
- 15:03SPEAKER_03: There's nothing worse than somebody who stays bent out of shape too long.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 15:06SPEAKER_03: Like it's like, hey, like this is like over and done with everyone's moved on.
- 15:09SPEAKER_03: I know that this was hard and bad, but it's like you've gotta pick up your boots and walk.
- 15:14SPEAKER_03: Pick up your mat and walk.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: Like you have to.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: And then also, Don did the sweetest thing, he gave me the first hug, and like I feel like years, is it the first hug?
- 15:22SPEAKER_03: I gave her a full hug.
- 15:26SPEAKER_03: No, it was an arm and compass with a finger pat on the back, like that.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Because he usually gives me a barely a side hug with a little pat.
- 15:33SPEAKER_03: Barely like a yes.
- 15:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's just not me.
- 15:36SPEAKER_03: But no, it it's yeah, don't stay at bent out of shape too long.
- 15:39SPEAKER_03: It's just a wise woman once told me, Blessed are the flexible, for they never get bent out of shape.
- 15:45SPEAKER_03: Oh does that have anything to do with this?
- 15:48SPEAKER_03: Not at all.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: Okay, your turn.
- 15:49SPEAKER_03: Let's take a break.
- 15:51SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 15:52SPEAKER_03: My you are very good at at getting bent back into shape, by the way.
- 15:55SPEAKER_03: That is something you are good at.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 15:57SPEAKER_03: Um, because I'm constantly bending others.
- 16:00SPEAKER_03: Oh, don't clip that.
- 16:02SPEAKER_03: Not in that way.
- 16:03SPEAKER_03: Um, emotionally.
- 16:04SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 16:05SPEAKER_03: My truth serum is this it is completely understandable to be upset at somebody for what they did to you in your dream.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Please explain.
- 16:15SPEAKER_03: The amount of times where I have woken up and texted somebody being like, hey, I had this dream last night that you and I had this falling out.
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: Like, I need a touch point with you.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:22SPEAKER_03: Because like, because it feels so real.
- 16:24SPEAKER_03: Like I have like I have been cheated on in my dreams, I have been bullied in my dreams, I have been betrayed in my dreams, and I wake up and I genuinely am upset at the person.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:36SPEAKER_03: And honestly, apologize.
- 16:38SPEAKER_03: Apologize for what you did last night to me in my dream.
- 16:41SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 16:42SPEAKER_03: So that I can't like go back to being normal and have a good day.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: No, they do.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: The amount of times I've been like, hey, you did this, can you apologize?
- 16:46SPEAKER_03: Are you not even upset?
- 16:47SPEAKER_03: They'd be like, hey, are you not even upset for what you did to me in my dream last night?
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 16:51SPEAKER_03: And I just think we need to normalize that because waking up from a dream, it feels so real.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 16:55SPEAKER_03: There are times where I go throughout the day and I realize that like 5 p.m.
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: Like, oh wait, that was a dream last night.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:01SPEAKER_03: Like that wasn't real.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 17:02SPEAKER_03: But it sometimes it plants in your subconscious and you feel so off with somebody.
- 17:06SPEAKER_03: And the amount of times where I've been like, hey, like, sorry, like you need to apologize.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm sure I wasn't about to make something up, but I'm like, I'm sure in the past couple of years you'd be like, you talked bad about me.
- 17:15SPEAKER_03: No, you talked bad about me in my dream.
- 17:16SPEAKER_03: No, I've had dreams where I've like I find out that like my friend had like talked bad about me in my dream.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: And you're like, please apologize.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: I'm like, so I'm very sorry.
- 17:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:24SPEAKER_03: And it's like, okay, perfect.
- 17:25SPEAKER_03: Now I can move on.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:26SPEAKER_03: And I just feel like we need to normalize that because those are real feelings.
- 17:30SPEAKER_03: I need a lozenge as well.
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: So if if you have a if somebody does something to you in your dream, don't don't feel bad to be like to text that person and be like, hey, like have anything to say?
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you did this.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: Is there anything you need to share?
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: Understandable.
- 17:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:48SPEAKER_03: So those are our truth serums.
- 17:50SPEAKER_03: Let's move on to our weekly dose, which is Lauren and I bring two pop culture headlines that mean something to us.
- 17:57SPEAKER_03: And we discuss them.
- 17:58SPEAKER_03: I'll go first.
- 17:59SPEAKER_03: So Ariana Grande.
- 18:02SPEAKER_03: Do you say Ariana or Ariana?
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Ariana.
- 18:04SPEAKER_03: Ariana Grande announces plans to step away from the public eye after Eternal Sunshine Tour.
- 18:10SPEAKER_03: The pop star is expected to take a break from the spotlight following the tour's September conclusion as she focuses on her personal life and time away from the demands of fame.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 18:22SPEAKER_03: So I was looking up what does that mean?
- 18:25SPEAKER_03: Because, like, do you are you do you not leave your house?
- 18:29SPEAKER_03: Do you whatever?
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:31SPEAKER_03: Because she was supposed to be in the next season of American Horror Story.
- 18:34SPEAKER_03: Oh, really?
- 18:34SPEAKER_03: With Ryan Murphy and Emma Roberts is in it, and all these people.
- 18:37SPEAKER_03: And there was rumors.
- 18:38SPEAKER_03: I don't think that this was true, but there was rumors that it was basically going to be the third season of Scream Queens.
- 18:43SPEAKER_03: Because Ryan Murphy would direct Ryan Murphy directed Scream Queens.
- 18:47SPEAKER_03: And he also does American Horror Story.
- 18:49SPEAKER_03: Also, I will say this right now, and this will probably be my ICU at some point.
- 18:51SPEAKER_03: Scream Queens is one of the best shows to ever on the planet be on TV.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: It was, it shook me.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: Like I did not expect to like, I don't know.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: It's just everything I would want in a show.
- 19:01SPEAKER_03: It's the perfect mix of humor, fun, scary.
- 19:06SPEAKER_03: Like it's like, but it's not so scary that you feel like you need to like turn on.
- 19:10SPEAKER_03: That you need to like take a bath after.
- 19:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 19:12SPEAKER_03: Like it's it's a perfect.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: Why would be scary?
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: Take a bath after a scary like clean yourself.
- 19:17SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
- 19:17SPEAKER_03: Like off of like the spirits.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: We have two different interpretations.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: I was like, take a bath after.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: I was like, I could not be in a tub of water.
- 19:25SPEAKER_03: No, I understand that.
- 19:26SPEAKER_03: Like when I'm in the shower, I can't close my eyes too long because I'm afraid that like there's like a demon.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: I was, yeah.
- 19:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 19:31SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
- 19:31SPEAKER_03: It's just like one of the best shows ever.
- 19:33SPEAKER_03: Anyway, but she took herself out of that.
- 19:34SPEAKER_03: She was supposed to be in a show.
- 19:35SPEAKER_03: I don't know if it was Broadway or like a live show, whatever, but the West End show.
- 19:39SPEAKER_03: I think it was Broadway.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: So does this have everything to do with people saying she's too frail?
- 19:45SPEAKER_03: I think that so okay, so she's apparently this was a this was a part of her plan all along was to take this break from the public eye.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: Was it?
- 19:53SPEAKER_03: She said that yeah, this is not something she can't suddenly came up with, like this was always in her plan.
- 19:59SPEAKER_03: I don't I don't know what I I don't know.
- 20:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I I wasn't in the room, but uh, I'm not in her family group chat.
- 20:04SPEAKER_03: But here's what I know about Ariana Grande.
- 20:07SPEAKER_03: Her mom is incredible, her brother loves her, and he's honest.
- 20:11SPEAKER_03: She has friends that she has been friends with since before she was famous.
- 20:16SPEAKER_03: Like, I think that if something's happening, like I it's it's not going unnoticed within her circle.
- 20:23SPEAKER_03: And I that's not me commenting on someone's body because I I want her to be healthy.
- 20:27SPEAKER_03: Like, that's I don't care about what she looks like.
- 20:29SPEAKER_03: Like, I want her to live long and like because I think she's a good person.
- 20:33SPEAKER_03: I think that she is talented, I think she brings a lot of like humor and like life into the world.
- 20:38SPEAKER_03: Like I want her to like live long.
- 20:40SPEAKER_03: So, but anyway, but I looked up what this means, but it basically just means no public, like no public like bookings, so she no projects, okay, no touring, no albums, no new music, but she's not retiring.
- 20:50SPEAKER_03: She said this is not retiring.
- 20:51SPEAKER_03: In fact, it is the opposite.
- 20:53SPEAKER_03: I'm doing this so that I can come back and do all of this.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: Okay, my brain thinks the other way.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: I was like, is she doing like construction on her house and like building a McDonald's in there?
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm just like, I thought she was like taking a step away from like building like an underground city or something.
- 21:06SPEAKER_03: What?
- 21:07SPEAKER_03: What what are these words?
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: I didn't know if she was like talking to the mic.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: I didn't know if she was like building, I don't know, like never.
- 21:20SPEAKER_03: Oh, like she's not she's I enforced.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: I didn't know if she was like never gonna be seen in paparazzi or out in paper.
- 21:27SPEAKER_03: I think there's a chance that she is.
- 21:28SPEAKER_03: I don't know if that equates to there being a McDonald's in her home.
- 21:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but like I do think that there's a world where she like goes to like another country and just okay.
- 21:37SPEAKER_03: Because right now she's still hanging out with Ricky Alvarez, so I think that they I know wrote some songs about Ricky.
- 21:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 21:45SPEAKER_03: So I love that.
- 21:46SPEAKER_03: And I just love her.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, do what do whatever.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: I'm not I'm a big proponent of like I'm checking myself.
- 21:53SPEAKER_03: Sorry, keep talking.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: You're good.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: I'm a big proponent of like I don't like to create parasocial relationships with celebrities.
- 21:59SPEAKER_03: I have one with her.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Okay, I don't.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: And so I'm not going to like look at her and be in all of her comment sections and be like, Did you eat today?
- 22:06SPEAKER_03: Oh, I don't have that relationship with her.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: You're like checking.
- 22:09SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
- 22:09SPEAKER_03: I've never said one thing about that.
- 22:11SPEAKER_03: That's her.
- 22:12SPEAKER_03: For me, it's more like I just feel like I know her.
- 22:13SPEAKER_03: Like I feel like we're friends.
- 22:14SPEAKER_03: Like I feel like we feel like we have friends.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: I thought you were in her comments being like, hey, so let's eat together.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: Or like, let's eat today.
- 22:21SPEAKER_03: Never.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: And I'd be like, oh my gosh, I hate it.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: Never once.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Never once.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm glad you clarified.
- 22:27SPEAKER_03: Anyway, we love you, girl.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: Let's see.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: My weekly dose.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: My weekly dose.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: I want to start with a really quick one.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Jewelie Andrews.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
- 22:43SPEAKER_03: Hey.
- 22:44SPEAKER_03: Go ahead and restart.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: Jewelry.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: Jewelry Andrews.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: Okay, can you just say it for me, Dom, please?
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: I need a second reset.
- 22:53SPEAKER_03: Jewelry.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: Jewelry Andrews.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: Jewelry Sanders.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:58SPEAKER_03: It's not returning for Princess Diaries 3.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: Which is insane.
- 23:03SPEAKER_03: Burn it to the ground.
- 23:05SPEAKER_03: Like this is coming from someone who's excited.
- 23:08SPEAKER_03: Sorry, this is your weekly dose.
- 23:09SPEAKER_03: Go ahead.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: No, I'm here.
- 23:11SPEAKER_03: Go.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: I needed a moment to reset.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: It's still rebooting.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: So go.
- 23:16SPEAKER_03: She's not returning.
- 23:17SPEAKER_03: Here's the thing.
- 23:17SPEAKER_03: I'm so excited.
- 23:18SPEAKER_03: Princess Diaries 2, Princess Diaries 1, genuinely incredible films.
- 23:22SPEAKER_03: Three, I'm genuinely excited for.
- 23:23SPEAKER_03: I love Devil Wars Prada 2.
- 23:25SPEAKER_03: Like I feel like Anne Hathaway, I I really like Anne Hathaway in these movies.
- 23:29SPEAKER_03: I don't sometimes she kind of gives like thespian-esque a little intensely.
- 23:35SPEAKER_03: But like and like her character in Devil Wars Prada, I hate.
- 23:38SPEAKER_03: I hate her character.
- 23:39SPEAKER_03: That doesn't mean I don't like the movie.
- 23:40SPEAKER_03: Like she has to be that way.
- 23:41SPEAKER_03: But anyway, I was very excited for this.
- 23:43SPEAKER_03: But no Julie Andrews, I don't really get it.
- 23:45SPEAKER_03: I don't know why you would do it.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it makes me laugh.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: Every single time someone announces something about jewelry.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: Oh my I'm having a moment right now.
- 23:54SPEAKER_03: Jewelry.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: Julie Andrews.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: Every time someone says that, like they post a photo with graphic, people think she's passed.
- 24:00SPEAKER_03: Can we just stop posting photos of Julie Andrews with clouds?
- 24:04SPEAKER_03: I don't need clouds.
- 24:05SPEAKER_03: I don't need a sunlight seeping through.
- 24:07SPEAKER_03: And I don't need a date.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: It won't be in the I don't need a lower third.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: No, exactly.
- 24:11SPEAKER_03: Julie Andrews out.
- 24:12SPEAKER_03: I thought that's how they announced that she passed.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: Everyone thinks she passes out.
- 24:17SPEAKER_03: Don't do that with Julie Andrews.
- 24:18SPEAKER_03: Don't do that with Dolly Parton.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: Ever.
- 24:20SPEAKER_03: Leave them alone.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: Ever.
- 24:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, don't do that with them.
- 24:22SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 24:23SPEAKER_03: I will say this.
- 24:24SPEAKER_03: Um, oh, I love saying I will say this and not knowing what I had to say.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 24:28SPEAKER_03: Um, do to do.
- 24:30SPEAKER_03: That's the equivalent, in my opinion, of doing Devil Wars Prada 2 with no Meryl Streep.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: I completely agree.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: Because the thing is, is like in the third movie, hopefully they're not gonna make it so that she passed and that she's out.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: That she's like out, out in the movie.
- 24:44SPEAKER_03: I don't want like a last scene cameo either.
- 24:46SPEAKER_03: No.
- 24:47SPEAKER_03: Be in the movie.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: But exactly.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: Like just like Camp Rock 3.
- 24:52SPEAKER_03: Oh, yep, which is gonna be a perfect segue.
- 24:54SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 24:55SPEAKER_03: But I just had one more thing to say.
- 24:56SPEAKER_03: Let us not forget that Raven Simone is in Princess Diaries 2.
- 24:59SPEAKER_03: And what is that song that she sings with her?
- 25:02SPEAKER_03: Do you remember?
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: I almost said BR guest, BR guest.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: What is it?
- 25:06SPEAKER_03: Um, she sings like a um.
- 25:09SPEAKER_03: She likes sings with with her.
- 25:11SPEAKER_03: Do you know what I'm talking about?
- 25:14SPEAKER_03: Oh, uh-huh.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: And then they like slide down on those mattresses.
- 25:18SPEAKER_03: And I'm kind.
- 25:20SPEAKER_03: And when then oh, she puts her hand on her face.
- 25:23SPEAKER_03: If Julie Andrews ever cupped my face with her hand and called me beautiful and kind or whatever, I would cry.
- 25:29SPEAKER_03: I have hair on my face.
- 25:30SPEAKER_03: I love that.
- 25:31SPEAKER_03: Anyway, um, love them.
- 25:34SPEAKER_03: Um, that is a perfect segue into my next weekly dose, which is that Camp Rock 3 premieres tonight.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: I'm excited.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: That's why I'm wearing my uh for those who can see me, I'm wearing my Cheetah Girls shirt that my cousins got me.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: Just in honor of a channel.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 25:52SPEAKER_03: The long-awaited sequel premieres tonight on Disney Channel.
- 25:56SPEAKER_03: I did not know Disney Channel still existed.
- 25:58SPEAKER_03: Did you know that Disney Channel doesn't have like new things, apparently?
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: I did not know that.
- 26:02SPEAKER_03: That was hard.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: Are they just making new movies for I guess I guess is it a Disney?
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: Is this not considered a DCOM now?
- 26:11SPEAKER_03: No, well, they're it's premiering on Disney Channel.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: Is there still a Disney Channel or is it Disney?
- 26:16SPEAKER_03: There no, it is there's Disney Plus, but there is Disney Channel.
- 26:19unknown: Okay.
- 26:19SPEAKER_03: Like Camp Rock 3 is premiering on Disney Channel first and is on streaming the next day.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 26:24SPEAKER_03: But I did not know that there is still a Disney channel, but they don't even play like reruns of like Dog with a Block, Good Log Charlie or anything.
- 26:30SPEAKER_03: I don't think.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 26:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: That's a Raven Fellow the Future, none of it?
- 26:33SPEAKER_03: I don't think any of those are playing, which I think is just sad.
- 26:35SPEAKER_03: But anyway, it premieres tonight.
- 26:37SPEAKER_03: Jonas Brothers are back, Demi's back, and her mom.
- 26:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 26:42SPEAKER_03: That woman is my mom.
- 26:44SPEAKER_03: That is your mom.
- 26:44SPEAKER_03: She is my mom.
- 26:46SPEAKER_03: Like, I again, and I know we've talked about this before, but like I always was seeking parental figures everywhere I looked, especially in like movies and shows.
- 26:55SPEAKER_03: And the woman who plays Mitchie's mom is my mom.
- 26:58SPEAKER_03: Like if she ever sees this, like just know that if I ever got to like give her a hug, like I would probably ball.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: What make exactly and what makes me sad growing up is like all of these characters that were embarrassed that their mom worked at a school or worked at a camp.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: Like I would have loved if you're not gonna be like, Why are you saying she works at Ginjai G.
- 27:14SPEAKER_03: Exactly?
- 27:15SPEAKER_03: Happy Summer.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: Like the fact that your mom was a cook at the school, like that wouldn't that like.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, at the camp.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: Wouldn't that give you clout and like be cool?
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know.
- 27:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like my mom's the one giving you porridge.
- 27:26SPEAKER_03: Yes, exactly.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: I I love that aspect, but I don't like that it's like, oh, my mom works at the college.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I go here for free.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: Like, yes, like good.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: Like, they don't see that.
- 27:35SPEAKER_03: That is the difference between you and I is I would be the person to lie and say my mom owns the clothing store using Jaiji.
- 27:40SPEAKER_03: That means happy summer.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: And I would be like, let's go check out.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: I was like, let's go spy on my mom and see like what creme brulee she's making.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:47SPEAKER_03: No, that's just the difference between us.
- 27:49SPEAKER_03: But the Jonas brothers are returning, Demi, the mom.
- 27:52SPEAKER_03: I think it's interesting that Tess is not returning.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: She's not?
- 27:55SPEAKER_03: No.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: The star of the show?
- 27:57SPEAKER_03: Tess, Peggy.
- 27:58SPEAKER_03: Peggy's not you're telling me Peggy strummed the heck out of that electric guitar with her, shoulder out, just to not come back for the third final jam.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: And also, too, we met a girl in Tulsa.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: Um, we're not gonna mention names that looks exactly like Peggy.
- 28:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we did.
- 28:13SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 28:14SPEAKER_03: Um me pretending to remember what you're talking about.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: No, you know the really cool girl that we ran into the other day, um, and she was at the event we went to.
- 28:25SPEAKER_03: I literally have no clue what you're talking about.
- 28:27SPEAKER_03: And she looked who?
- 28:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 28:33SPEAKER_03: Oh, not like Peggy.
- 28:34SPEAKER_03: She looks like the host of the final jam.
- 28:36SPEAKER_03: Sorry, that's what we need.
- 28:37SPEAKER_03: Sorry, we needed to whisper.
- 28:38SPEAKER_03: No, we met somebody who who embodies the host of Camp Rock 2's Final Jam.
- 28:42SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 28:43SPEAKER_03: We love her.
- 28:44SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, Tess isn't returning.
- 28:46SPEAKER_03: And also Mitchie, I'm glad that she's in it, but apparently it's just it's just a cameo at the end.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Which I'm like, We need more.
- 28:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I I did need more from her.
- 28:53SPEAKER_03: But I don't know.
- 28:54SPEAKER_03: I actually have high hopes for this.
- 28:55SPEAKER_03: Like the clips of the songs, the original songs that I've been hearing, I really like.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:59SPEAKER_03: And they're super talented.
- 29:00SPEAKER_03: Like, I think it's gonna be good.
- 29:01SPEAKER_03: I don't think that Demi and the Jonas brothers would let it be bad, to be honest.
- 29:05SPEAKER_03: I agree.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: But I think it's random that it is just like new kids, like gonna be in it.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: It's like about the kids, it's not about I would have loved a version of like seeing what all of them did as adults.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: Like, I want to do that.
- 29:15SPEAKER_03: Apparently, what happened is like they apparently connect three.
- 29:19SPEAKER_03: The storyline is without spoiling anything, is like their opener drops, so they need an opener for their tour, so they go to Camp Rock, and all of the kids are auditioning to be their opener.
- 29:29SPEAKER_03: Oh, really?
- 29:30SPEAKER_03: That's the theme.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 29:32SPEAKER_03: So yeah.
- 29:35SPEAKER_00: We'll watch it tonight.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: We'll see.
- 29:36SPEAKER_03: No, we're gonna watch it tonight and we'll talk about it on the next episode.
- 29:39SPEAKER_03: But I will say, like, I like I would rather it be like them touring and it's like adulthood, and like they find out that like dem the mid like him and Michie broke up, but then they get signed to the same label and they and they're like, yo, we have somebody to open up for you on your tour.
- 29:52SPEAKER_03: We don't know if you've ever net met Michie Torres.
- 29:55SPEAKER_03: That would have been.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: I would have loved something like that.
- 29:58SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh, I would have loved that.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: Me too.
- 30:00SPEAKER_03: Is her last name Torres?
- 30:02SPEAKER_03: Okay, Torres.
- 30:02SPEAKER_03: I don't know if I made that up.
- 30:03SPEAKER_03: All right, go to your next weekly dose.
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: My next weekly dose is um Tate Cray.
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: Tate McCray.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: Hold on, Dom.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: I'm like, my brain is like off today.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: Like my brain is off.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: Like, I am so like I'm actually gonna start.
- 30:19SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh, I almost threw up my Alani all over me.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: McCray.
- 30:23SPEAKER_03: Jewelry Anders and Tate Cray.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: That is insane.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: Like, you guys are seeing me at my lowest.
- 30:30SPEAKER_00: Anyway, Tate McCrae um fakes using a makeup white for the brand new Trajina.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: We have to talk about this.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: And it made me angry at her.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: And I mean, when she sees this clip, like I'll get over it.
- 30:42SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 30:43SPEAKER_03: And this is coming from two people who literally just saw you at uh Lollapalooza, and we were we're upset.
- 30:48SPEAKER_03: We I love Tate McCrae.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: But and she did amazing, but she did amazing, but um, for those who that haven't seen it, and I want you to go do your research after and look this up.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: But what she did is she did a little like this is my um post-show routine, and these are Neutrogena makeup wipes.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: So she's taking off her makeup with these wipes, and she's faking like she's taking off her makeup.
- 31:13SPEAKER_03: She just She literally brushes her finger across her face.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: And like puts the wipe on that.
- 31:17SPEAKER_03: And she's like, if you can see the camera angle, like she literally is like, she's doing this.
- 31:21SPEAKER_03: She's not even like touching her face at all.
- 31:23SPEAKER_03: And then the video ends with a full face of makeup on.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: Like, she had more makeup on than she started with.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she put makeup on.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 31:30SPEAKER_03: And like, I want to say, like, I don't think she needs to be like hit by a car.
- 31:34SPEAKER_03: Like, like, you know what I mean.
- 31:35SPEAKER_03: But I will say, like, you're playing in our face.
- 31:38SPEAKER_03: You are like, how stupid do you think we are?
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: No, exactly.
- 31:40SPEAKER_03: But also, I will say this.
- 31:42SPEAKER_03: Uh actually, I'll impose a question.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:45SPEAKER_03: Is it bad or is it turnt?
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: In my opinion, I would say turnt, but with her status and lying to fans, it is bad to me.
- 31:55SPEAKER_03: Because I will say, I don't think anybody's watching that and being like, oh, now I feel like I can't trust Neutrogena skin wipe, their makeup wipes.
- 32:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's a big thing.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: People love those anyway.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because I've been using those since like part of this is kind of turnt.
- 32:06SPEAKER_03: Like she probably got paid like a million dollars.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: Honestly, but the thing is, it's like, it makes me wonder because videos like that need to be sent over to Neutrogen for for approval.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: For approval for whatever.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: So either someone at Neutrogena is being messy because they need to like go back to the celebrity and be like, hey, you're not really using the wipe, and you're making uh like you're making yourself look bad.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: So either they got submitted and it was like, okay, I want to embarrass Take McRae, or like it's gonna generate so much online buzz that we're gonna boost sales.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: Either that's turning.
- 32:36SPEAKER_03: Let me ask you this if you're in that if you're in that job job position and who's someone you're obsessed with?
- 32:44SPEAKER_03: And Kendrick Lamar.
- 32:45SPEAKER_03: Trisha Paytas.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 32:47SPEAKER_03: Kendrick Lamar, let's do Kendrick Lamar, because I don't think, yeah.
- 32:49SPEAKER_03: Kendrick Lamar sends you a video that needs approval and you can tell that it's as bad as this.
- 32:54SPEAKER_03: Do you tell him I need you to refilm it?
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: I need you to refilm that ASAP and I will be on site.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: And I will be on site making sure that hits your skin.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 33:04SPEAKER_03: Not that not that Kendrick Lamar would be using skin removal or makeup removal.
- 33:08SPEAKER_03: But like for yeah, for just like any product.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 33:11SPEAKER_03: Because that's probably a hard position to be in, but I get that.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: For him, because if I respected him enough, I'm not having him out here looking crazy.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:18SPEAKER_03: So I hear that.
- 33:19SPEAKER_03: Those are good.
- 33:20SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 33:21SPEAKER_03: I love that.
- 33:21SPEAKER_03: Also say Tate, like, if you wanted to leave your if you wanted to leave your smoky eye on, like, just like do it later.
- 33:29SPEAKER_00: Just do it later.
- 33:30SPEAKER_03: Um okay, we're gonna go into our ICUs, which our ICUs are just things that we love that we've beat to death are in the ICU.
- 33:37SPEAKER_03: Like they're like beginning for life because we've just like, you know, used and abused.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 33:41SPEAKER_03: Mine is game nights.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 33:44SPEAKER_03: I love a game night, and not like in a choogie way.
- 33:49SPEAKER_03: Like, I hosted, I'm also like the guy.
- 33:52SPEAKER_03: Okay, I'll say this.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: If you ask me to explain the rules of a game, my butt clinches every time he Oh my gosh your mouth.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm cle like as soon as I walk through the door, he's like, sit down.
- 34:06SPEAKER_03: Like it is cadet killing.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: Phone off.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: Everything, like everything like that.
- 34:10SPEAKER_03: And it's because I'm not gonna repeat myself.
- 34:12SPEAKER_03: You want me to explain the rules and then it's gonna be- Oh, how do you laugh?
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, don't even let him, don't let Dom cut you laughing at the rules.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: He's just he doesn't even sniff.
- 34:22SPEAKER_03: Oh, a side conversation while I explain the game rule?
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: What he does is You both are out.
- 34:25SPEAKER_03: You're both are done.
- 34:26SPEAKER_03: You don't have to play.
- 34:26SPEAKER_03: I'll play by myself.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: Oh, there's ten here.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: I think we're playing with eight.
- 34:30SPEAKER_03: Because I will say, I'm an all-weight person.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: You did you don't even have to say all weight?
- 34:34SPEAKER_03: It's this.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: It's looking like you'll hear him explain the rules, and you won't even say I wait.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: You will you'll just stop.
- 34:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and the room, like your back needs to be up.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: Like suck the energy out of the room.
- 34:45SPEAKER_03: Don't be eating, don't be on your phone.
- 34:47SPEAKER_03: Like, listen up because when I, especially if it's spicy Uno, there's too many rules in spicy Uno for you to not be paying attention.
- 34:53SPEAKER_03: So, yeah, I love a game night.
- 34:55SPEAKER_03: I do run it like a sergeant, but like I hosted a game night when I was in Salt Lake, and like I'm sorry, I'm incredible at it.
- 35:01SPEAKER_03: We went from fishbowl.
- 35:02SPEAKER_03: The perfect like recipe for a game night is fishbowl, starting with a fishbowl, yeah, going to a spicy Uno, maybe a mafia if you want to.
- 35:11SPEAKER_03: Maybe a mafia.
- 35:12SPEAKER_03: And then our friends in college invented a game called the interview game.
- 35:15SPEAKER_03: Close it off with the interview game.
- 35:16SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 35:17SPEAKER_03: Like that is the perfect recipe.
- 35:20SPEAKER_03: If you ever need a game night and you guys are cool and conventionally attractive, like, I'll come over and I'll and I'll host it.
- 35:26SPEAKER_03: Um, I'm just kidding.
- 35:27SPEAKER_03: I'll do it for whoever.
- 35:29SPEAKER_03: But um, I'll host a game night for the uglies.
- 35:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 35:31SPEAKER_03: Um, but like I just love a game night.
- 35:34SPEAKER_03: Codenames is an incredible game as well.
- 35:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, code names is an amazing game.
- 35:40SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, I just love a game night.
- 35:42SPEAKER_03: Game night in your adulthood, put in the toll house cookies in the oven.
- 35:47SPEAKER_03: Like, it's just a good night.
- 35:49SPEAKER_03: It's just it's fun.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: It was us, like, that was our trope.
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: Like, Dom ran the games.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: I had this extremely like classified way I would bake cookies, which is just And puppy chow.
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and pupp and make puppy chow.
- 36:03SPEAKER_03: If you've never gone to like Lauren's like parents' house to get puppy chow, because we used to have Disney Channel original decomp Thursdays, yeah.
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: Decom Thursdays, and we did Sundays too.
- 36:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 36:11SPEAKER_03: We had Decomp Thursdays and Decomp Sundays where me and Trevor would come over and make puppy chow and watch and Alex and watch a Disney Channel original movie.
- 36:19SPEAKER_03: And it I feel like it grew.
- 36:20SPEAKER_03: Like there was an I feel like 20 people came.
- 36:22SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 36:22SPEAKER_03: Like we started a church.
- 36:23SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 36:23SPEAKER_03: Like we started a small group.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: We did.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: So it was great.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: Um, the other aspect of that is like Dom is always the person that like you FaceTime when you forget the rules of a game.
- 36:33SPEAKER_03: The amount of calls I get being like, Can you explain the rules like to this game?
- 36:36SPEAKER_03: And it's like I would love to.
- 36:38SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm literally the Monopoly man.
- 36:39SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 36:40SPEAKER_03: Oh, Monopoly Deal.
- 36:41SPEAKER_03: And that's the other thing, too, is like you don't like Monopoly Deal.
- 36:43SPEAKER_03: Oh, it's so good.
- 36:44SPEAKER_03: I feel like the recipe is like you're either doing code names and Monopoly Deal, or you're doing fishbowl and spicy Uno.
- 36:50SPEAKER_03: Like those are the two families.
- 36:52SPEAKER_03: And like you can't cross, you can't cross-contaminate.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: Can I say something random since we're good on time?
- 36:57SPEAKER_03: I mean, I feel like we're not good on time, but go ahead.
- 36:58SPEAKER_00: Are we good on time, Erin?
- 37:00SPEAKER_03: It's really for you.
- 37:01SPEAKER_03: Oh, I guess because you have to leave it.
- 37:02SPEAKER_03: It doesn't matter, just go.
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 37:05SPEAKER_00: So here's my thing.
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: Another thing, I have so many things of like testing out a future partner.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: One being like, um, like not that Lauren isn't testing out future partners anymore.
- 37:17SPEAKER_03: No, I'm not.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: But I'm saying when I tell someone else like to test things out, um, a lot of people are like, okay, make sure you've seen your partner drawn.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: See your partner, like they they give so many of those situations.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: Mine, my to my big two is um one is like if they run out of toilet paper in the bathroom, like, do they immediately replace the role?
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: That's a big one.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: And the second biggest one is how they react in game situations.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: So how I could tell that my roommate was going to break up with her like boyfriend, they're not together anymore.
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: She's in a happy other relationship, is that he farted and ruined a game for Dom one time.
- 37:54SPEAKER_00: And Dom was about to literally hit him with his car.
- 37:58SPEAKER_03: Guys.
- 38:00SPEAKER_03: We were playing Spicy Uno.
- 38:03SPEAKER_03: I already didn't like this person.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: And he was losing, so we didn't.
- 38:07SPEAKER_03: He had the nerve to fart during the game.
- 38:10SPEAKER_03: During spice two times in a row, we're talking about farting.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: I'm grossing.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: I apologize, everyone.
- 38:15SPEAKER_00: I'm sick.
- 38:16SPEAKER_03: I looked him square in the face and I said, Did you fart?
- 38:19SPEAKER_00: It was his first time meeting Dom, too.
- 38:20SPEAKER_03: And he goes, Yeah.
- 38:23SPEAKER_03: And then he threw his cards down.
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: He's like, I don't even want to play anymore.
- 38:26SPEAKER_03: I got up.
- 38:26SPEAKER_03: I I literally, I left.
- 38:28SPEAKER_03: I didn't, I didn't like announce it.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: Dom just got a card.
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: He literally left away.
- 38:33SPEAKER_03: Like, I was so upset.
- 38:34SPEAKER_03: And here's the other thing I hate.
- 38:35SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, this is so in spicy, you know, if it's on a seven and you're silent, you can't talk or laugh because you keep getting cards.
- 38:40SPEAKER_03: He was getting so embarrassed that he was losing that he's like, I don't care how many I get.
- 38:44SPEAKER_03: Ha ha, talk, talk, talk.
- 38:45SPEAKER_03: When you purpose just to keep getting cards, and I'm like, you ruined the whole game, you ruined the whole night.
- 38:48SPEAKER_03: And then you have the nerve to look me square in my face as a man and fart.
- 38:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 38:51SPEAKER_03: You're gonna fart next to Charisma's mac and cheese.
- 38:54SPEAKER_03: Like you're really gonna fart right now in front of the mac and cheese.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 38:58SPEAKER_03: Like I, oh my god.
- 39:00SPEAKER_00: And so, yeah, so that is my like number one, then number two would be that of like how someone reacts to a game.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: I don't like when people just like check out of something and like you don't even have to be competitive, but you don't have to ruin experiences for others, like be a court jester in those manners.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, okay.
- 39:15SPEAKER_03: What's your ICU?
- 39:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, I didn't even do my IC do ICU today.
- 39:19SPEAKER_03: No.
- 39:19SPEAKER_03: I see do I see do jewelry anders take everything and I see do and I see do.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: So my ICU is title is Jewelry Anders Anders.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 39:30SPEAKER_03: I love that.
- 39:31SPEAKER_00: Um my ICU today is the show Sterling Point.
- 39:35SPEAKER_00: And so I'm gonna go through this quickly because I don't like to give anything away.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: But if you have not seen Sterling Point on Prime, you need to go watch that immediately.
- 39:45SPEAKER_03: And also, this is just an insight into Lauren.
- 39:48SPEAKER_03: Can you explain what time you watched this show?
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: Um, from one or from 11 a.m.
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: Oh shoot, 11 p.m.
- 39:59SPEAKER_00: up until 7 a.m.
- 40:02SPEAKER_03: I literally would I wouldn't my life wouldn't go back to normal for a month.
- 40:07SPEAKER_00: I was making Boldak ramen with like the spice, I put a little too less spice, a little too much cheese, and a little too much milk in that one because it was so early.
- 40:15SPEAKER_00: Um, but I was really like making like the spicy ramen at 6 a.m.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: And I like was ate a sleeve of Oreos.
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: Like I was just like up, like I was like five.
- 40:23SPEAKER_03: That would that I'm not kidding, like that would put me on my background.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: I'm almost 29.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: Like I'll be 29 like next month.
- 40:28SPEAKER_00: And like I love free will.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Anyway, so I did that.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: I watched it all in one sitting.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: But I will say this like, like I said, I don't want to spoil the show, but I appreciate accurate writing.
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: I hate when like outfits and dialogue and all of that is a little dated.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: Um, because if something is in production in 2024, like it's going to sound so bad in 2026.
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: And I feel like this, um, the writer on the show really like tapped in with the younger Gen Z.
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: Like, and she how they talk is exactly how the show is.
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: And it's not a bunch of slang, it's not a bunch of crazy, trendy, whatever outfits.
- 41:09SPEAKER_00: She curated the outfit to work.
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: Clock it.
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: No, oh my gosh.
- 41:13SPEAKER_03: I will say this right now.
- 41:14SPEAKER_03: We need to like, we're gonna add another segment about like what we hate.
- 41:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:17SPEAKER_03: And when we do, I will be talking about clock it.
- 41:20SPEAKER_00: Which makes me uh I was about to get yeah.
- 41:23SPEAKER_00: But I will say this without um going to and stuff like that, really quick.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: I do hate when something's taken out of like, you know, the gay community or the black community, something like that, and it gets I'm not saying mainstream and just gets mainstream to where it like they have things they've been saying for years and years and years, and it as it hits the mainstream with everybody, then it gets so oversaturated so quick, and now it looks like you like they can't really say it anymore.
- 41:50SPEAKER_00: And they've been saying it for years underground, not blown up.
- 41:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, clock it's one of those.
- 41:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, I yes, I guess.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: But swatch sterling point.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: I don't want to go too much into it because I will give away the plot, if so.
- 42:00SPEAKER_03: It's like an off-campus vibe of some which I've never seen any of them.
- 42:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it takes a lot for me to watch a scripted show.
- 42:05SPEAKER_00: It's a between Summer Nights and Pretty, Off Campus, all of those.
- 42:09SPEAKER_00: Um, it needed something after there was another Prime show that was just awful that came out.
- 42:13SPEAKER_03: Um that you loved.
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: I that I hated.
- 42:15SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's two that I hated.
- 42:17SPEAKER_03: I think they were like, it was so bad, I'm sad.
- 42:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I've watched it three times.
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: No.
- 42:21SPEAKER_03: Love that.
- 42:22SPEAKER_03: Okay, I've never seen any of them.
- 42:23SPEAKER_03: It takes a long time for it, it takes a lot for me to watch a scripted show.
- 42:26SPEAKER_03: And then when I watch a scripted show that I like, I watch it 10 times.
- 42:28SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 42:28SPEAKER_03: Like overcompensating.
- 42:29SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 42:30SPEAKER_03: Okay, we're gonna get into our We Need to Talks, which is our advice segment.
- 42:34SPEAKER_03: If you want to submit a We Need to Talk, you can DM it to us on Instagram, or if you want to remain anonymous, you can make an email with your name not on it or whatever.
- 42:42SPEAKER_03: And email truth serumpodofficial at gmail.com.
- 42:45SPEAKER_03: Okay, here's the first one.
- 42:46SPEAKER_03: Hi, Truth, hi Truth Serum, new listener here.
- 42:50SPEAKER_03: I recently met an awesome girl in Chicago at Lollapalooza, and she's based in San Francisco.
- 42:55SPEAKER_03: Normally, with flings like this, they fade out within a few days of settling back home.
- 42:59SPEAKER_03: This person lives in Bentonville.
- 43:01SPEAKER_03: Um, but we've actually been talking every day.
- 43:04SPEAKER_03: She's cool AF, and we have a lot in common.
- 43:08SPEAKER_03: Do I keep talking to her and have it possibly crumble or cut it off now?
- 43:13SPEAKER_03: I've never been a fan of long distance.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 43:17SPEAKER_00: I'd say end it, especially if you're describing her as cool AF.
- 43:20SPEAKER_03: Um that's how this person talks.
- 43:22SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 43:23SPEAKER_03: Like, like this person, like, I don't think that I know who this person is.
- 43:26SPEAKER_03: I don't think that he would send this if like I think he genuinely would like her, likes her.
- 43:31SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 43:31SPEAKER_03: I will say I long distance, I don't know if I could ever do, but I'm a big proponent.
- 43:36SPEAKER_03: Is that a word?
- 43:37SPEAKER_03: Proponent of doing what feels good right now.
- 43:41SPEAKER_03: And if you want to be talking to this person right now and you're enjoying it and it feels good and real, then do it.
- 43:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 43:47SPEAKER_03: And then when it feels like long distance doesn't work, then don't.
- 43:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because I think too much about logistics of just being like, okay, I wouldn't even start something if I knew it was going to be long distance.
- 43:56SPEAKER_00: I don't like the like getting a little bit more.
- 43:58SPEAKER_03: But it sounds like long distance isn't like Like an absolute no for him.
- 44:01SPEAKER_03: He just says, I've never been a fan.
- 44:03SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 44:04SPEAKER_03: So I feel like it's a world where it's like this person could be worth it.
- 44:06SPEAKER_00: And they could move and they could travel.
- 44:08SPEAKER_00: Like if you can afford to do traveling and things like that, you can make long distance work.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:12SPEAKER_03: And I feel like if you're going to La La Palooza, yeah.
- 44:14SPEAKER_03: The all four days, you can afford to go to San Francisco.
- 44:17SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 44:17SPEAKER_03: So if it's worth it, do it.
- 44:18SPEAKER_03: And then when it's not, stop.
- 44:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 44:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:21SPEAKER_00: Cheers.
- 44:21SPEAKER_03: Like you're not in love.
- 44:22SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, just make sure, yeah.
- 44:24SPEAKER_00: Set the right expectations.
- 44:26SPEAKER_03: On her, for her and for you, like exactly.
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: Just be like, hey, this might not work out because it's long distance.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: Let's just see how it goes and try to like be as honest as possible.
- 44:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I agree.
- 44:35SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 44:36SPEAKER_03: Please keep this anonymous because I'm pretty sure this person watches.
- 44:39SPEAKER_03: I have a friend who I genuinely love, but lately I feel like everything has become a weird competition.
- 44:44SPEAKER_03: If I get excited about something, she immediately has a bigger, better version of the same story.
- 44:48SPEAKER_03: If I'm going somewhere, she suddenly has plans somewhere, way better.
- 44:50SPEAKER_03: If someone can if someone compliments me, she'll agree, but then somehow bring it up something about herself.
- 44:56SPEAKER_03: I've tried telling myself that I'm being too sensitive, but other friends have independently noticed it as well.
- 45:02SPEAKER_03: The weird part is that I don't see is that hey, the weird part is that I don't think she's consciously trying to compete with me.
- 45:12SPEAKER_03: I think she just has a lot of insecurity.
- 45:14SPEAKER_03: Do I address it or do I simply stop giving it enough attention to bother me?
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: I would say um probably never talk to this person again.
- 45:23SPEAKER_03: I'm just kidding.
- 45:24SPEAKER_00: No.
- 45:24SPEAKER_00: Um, for my thing, this is so random.
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: And I can talk from experience of being a neurodivergent person.
- 45:31SPEAKER_00: That is something that sometimes people like when they're neurodivergent, think that they're relating and adding to a situation by being like relating, yeah.
- 45:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just like if you were to say, like, oh yeah, I went to Europe last summer, like say say that.
- 45:45SPEAKER_03: I went to Europe last summer.
- 45:46SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, I went there too.
- 45:48SPEAKER_00: And I went over here and I hopped over to this place, to Austria, to blah blah blah blah and did this, like, and it could seem to them like they're bonding with a person, but the person receiving that information was just like, Why would you even say that?
- 46:02SPEAKER_03: And if you're listening to this podcast, just a word of advice to anyone, like it's okay to say things and relate, but I'm gonna introduce you to asking a question first.
- 46:10SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh, did you enjoy it?
- 46:12SPEAKER_03: Yes, what was your favorite thing you did in Europe?
- 46:14SPEAKER_03: My favorite thing was I did that at the oh my god, okay.
- 46:16SPEAKER_03: So also, like, I went and I all I did that at the.
- 46:19SPEAKER_03: I've always wanted to go to the thing that you just said.
- 46:21SPEAKER_03: Like ask questions.
- 46:23SPEAKER_03: People love to talk about themselves, whether they like it or not, whether they know it or not.
- 46:27SPEAKER_03: So just like and also you can play this up, watch you should watch this episode with her and have her hear this and be like, but she's not gonna know that you said it.
- 46:35SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 46:36SPEAKER_03: And then that's like her, she if she's smart enough, she'll be able, she'll take it and be like, okay, I need to know to not do that.
- 46:41SPEAKER_00: I would say um if it gets to a point where it's harming your friendship, I would say be like, hey, I don't think you mean to do this, and maybe it's just because you want to relate to something something, but um, like it does seem like a competition competition.
- 46:53SPEAKER_03: If you think that there is an intent, like if you don't think that's build up stuff, bring it up in a moment.
- 46:57SPEAKER_00: Like it's just the two of you guys be like, hey, that actually was kind of off-putting to me.
- 47:01SPEAKER_03: Because if you don't believe that she's consciously doing it, yeah, then I could see a world where maybe you don't bring it up and you just kind of let it not bother you.
- 47:08SPEAKER_03: Because I care about intention.
- 47:10SPEAKER_03: That's I always care about intention.
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: Same.
- 47:12SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 47:12SPEAKER_03: Uh next one.
- 47:13SPEAKER_03: I'm getting married next year and have hit the point where I'm realizing I invited some people because I felt obligated rather than because I actually want them there.
- 47:22SPEAKER_03: One of my bridesmaids has been my friend since college, but our friendship has gotten progressively worse.
- 47:27SPEAKER_03: We barely talk unless I initiate.
- 47:29SPEAKER_03: She complains about basically everything, and I'm honestly dreading having her involved in the wedding at all.
- 47:33SPEAKER_03: The problem is if I remove her from the wedding, I know that the that it will end the friendship, obviously.
- 47:38SPEAKER_03: Is it insane to uninvite somebody from your wedding party after already asking them?
- 47:42SPEAKER_03: Or do I need to accept that I made the wrong decision and fix it?
- 47:46SPEAKER_03: I chose this one on purpose.
- 47:49SPEAKER_03: Something that I've experienced since living in Tulsa that I think is insane, and I don't know if this is everywhere.
- 47:54SPEAKER_03: Almost every wedding that I've gone to, I know and they know that there's so much beef within with the bride and groom and/or their bridal party that they will never be friends again after the wedding.
- 48:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 48:07SPEAKER_03: That is something that I see a lot.
- 48:09SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm like, oh, I know they will never be friends again after the wedding because of all the drama that has happened since asking to be bridesmaids.
- 48:16SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 48:17SPEAKER_03: Like, and I then I look back on the time where they were asked to be bridesmaids, and I'm like, you were wondering if you should do this back then.
- 48:23SPEAKER_03: So, like, this is just like also a PSA.
- 48:25SPEAKER_03: Like, do not do not out of obligation ask somebody to be a bridesmaid or a groomsman because you're about to have a lot of life together being in a wedding party.
- 48:35SPEAKER_03: And if you're Rocky now, you will be Rocky.
- 48:39SPEAKER_03: And then you're gonna be in situations like this.
- 48:41SPEAKER_03: I have seen this situation so many times since living here.
- 48:44SPEAKER_03: Like insane.
- 48:46SPEAKER_03: Like, so I will say this you asked her to be in the wedding, you kind of have to write it out in my mind.
- 48:52SPEAKER_00: I would say write it out, but this is just a PSA to everyone getting like engaged or thinking about getting engaged, whatever.
- 48:58SPEAKER_00: When you're sitting down thinking of doing a bridal party, like, yeah, do not include like time.
- 49:03SPEAKER_00: Like we've been together for so long.
- 49:04SPEAKER_00: Doesn't matter if you go with the person that you're like on this wedding day.
- 49:08SPEAKER_00: I would be overjoyed.
- 49:10SPEAKER_00: They would not add stress to the situation, they'd be such a great person to have as my maid of honor.
- 49:15SPEAKER_00: They'd be such a great person.
- 49:16SPEAKER_00: And if they're I don't care, I'm one of those people that I don't care if I'm not in someone's bridal party.
- 49:21SPEAKER_00: That's just me.
- 49:22SPEAKER_03: And I'm someone, and this is why this podcast is great.
- 49:24SPEAKER_03: Is I am the type to be like, really?
- 49:26SPEAKER_03: Them and not me.
- 49:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:28SPEAKER_03: But then that's just telling about your relationship.
- 49:30SPEAKER_03: I also think that you can invite people to like your bachelorette and your bachelor that are not groomsmen or bridesmaids.
- 49:35SPEAKER_00: Also, you don't need 16.
- 49:36SPEAKER_00: Also, it looks bad for the shot.
- 49:38SPEAKER_00: Like if there's 16 people in the shot, like I'm just like crazy.
- 49:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:41SPEAKER_00: I'm just like a swim team, literally.
- 49:44SPEAKER_00: And so with that, I'm just like, I had two Palm Squad.
- 49:47SPEAKER_00: Palm Squad.
- 49:48SPEAKER_00: I had two um maid of honors and no, because I would have had so many if I had to like go to my best friends.
- 49:56SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 49:56SPEAKER_00: And so I just did two and that's it.
- 49:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 49:58SPEAKER_00: And yeah.
- 49:59SPEAKER_03: Just stop doing things out of obligation.
- 50:01SPEAKER_03: You won't have to be in this position.
- 50:02SPEAKER_03: But also, you have to write it out.
- 50:03SPEAKER_03: If this person is genuinely bringing drama into your wedding, then you have a reason to say like.
- 50:09SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 50:10SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 50:11SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 50:11SPEAKER_03: Uh, we have one more.
- 50:13SPEAKER_03: Um, I love my friend dearly, but I'm starting to feel like I'm her unpaid life manager.
- 50:18SPEAKER_03: Every few weeks there's a crisis.
- 50:20SPEAKER_03: Boyfriend, money problems, work drama, family drama, roommate drama, you name it.
- 50:23SPEAKER_03: And I'm always the person she calls.
- 50:25SPEAKER_03: And I always listen because that's what friends are for.
- 50:27SPEAKER_03: But I recently realized that I know everything about her problems, and she knows basically nothing about what's going on in my life because there's never room for it.
- 50:34SPEAKER_03: I don't want to abandon her, but I also don't want our friendship to only exist when she needs support.
- 50:38SPEAKER_03: How do you set boundaries with somebody who genuinely needs you without feeling like you're a bad person?
- 50:42SPEAKER_03: I feel like you're the one to speak on this.
- 50:45SPEAKER_00: I've been this friend multiple times.
- 50:48SPEAKER_00: And for me, like one side of it is that like I my dad's kind of like this of I'm a speak when spoken to person.
- 50:56SPEAKER_00: So if I'm not being asked any questions, I don't share anything personal about my life, genuinely.
- 51:01SPEAKER_00: Like Dom is the person I've probably shared with the most because you ask me so many like intentional questions and we kind of go back and forth.
- 51:09SPEAKER_00: Um, but that's an aspect, and it can get tiring if you're not sharing, and then it's just like, oh, this person needs, needs, needs.
- 51:15SPEAKER_00: That's just kind of how it is, like in a friendship.
- 51:19SPEAKER_00: It does get very tiring.
- 51:20SPEAKER_00: You do need, we always talk about checkpoints, you do need a checkpoint in there to where it's just kind of like, hey, there's some things that um I feel like maybe I've given you advice on uh one or two times, and it seems like it's always a cycle, a cycle or something like you just need a checkpoint where you talk to them about expectations, be like, hey, I'm not getting and not necessarily burned out of the friendship, but it's taking a toll on like every time I see you, I do feel like we're gonna be talking about something heavy and it might be a topic we've already talked about.
- 51:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and also too, I have things I want to share, you know.
- 51:52SPEAKER_03: And I think too, like if this is the person, if you're the person that they're running to, that means they do value you.
- 51:57SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 51:57SPEAKER_03: And I and I'm the type of person that if the question is do I address it is asked, I'm always gonna say yes.
- 52:02SPEAKER_03: And I always will say, if you preface something correctly, you can tell somebody that cares about you anything.
- 52:07SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 52:08SPEAKER_03: And I think that if you say, Hey, I'm saying this to you because I you we should be friends forever, right?
- 52:13SPEAKER_03: Like we want to be friends for a long time, right?
- 52:15SPEAKER_03: And if they say yes, it's like, okay, well, I would love for you to have the same intentionality with me that I'm that I have to have with you.
- 52:23SPEAKER_03: Oh, wait, do not word it like that.
- 52:25SPEAKER_03: Do we go we rewind?
- 52:27SPEAKER_03: I would love to be able to share about my life just as much as you share about yours.
- 52:30SPEAKER_03: And I think that if this person cares about you, they will receive that.
- 52:33SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 52:33SPEAKER_03: And if they don't, like literally buy.
- 52:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 52:36SPEAKER_00: Like find another person.
- 52:38SPEAKER_00: That's what's good about a checkpoint is that like you can proceed based on how they react and and choose to go.
- 52:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 52:45SPEAKER_00: So have that checkpoint, have that conversation, and that's that.
- 52:50SPEAKER_03: Period.
- 52:51SPEAKER_00: Relationships change.
- 52:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 52:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 52:53SPEAKER_03: I've always thought there's like, or I've always said like there are people that hey, you're done.
- 52:59SPEAKER_03: I was about to reach a word count.
- 53:01SPEAKER_03: Normalize ending a sentence.
- 53:03SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 53:03SPEAKER_00: You're done.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: I was I was ready to hear.
- 53:05SPEAKER_03: Here's the thing, I had nothing to say.
- 53:07SPEAKER_03: Amazing.
- 53:08SPEAKER_00: Like, and this is truth serum.
- 53:10SPEAKER_03: Thanks for listening.
- 53:11SPEAKER_03: Awesome.
- 53:12SPEAKER_03: See you next time.
- 53:13SPEAKER_00: Bye.
