  As I am in ministry school, I'm currently in the book of Mark.

  And as I was reading Mark, I stumbled upon a very, very famous part of Scripture.

  Mark 14, verse 30. Truly, I tell you, tonight, before the rooster crows twice,

  you will deny me three times. That is Jesus speaking to Simon Peter.

  Here's the interesting part of this whole thing that why I'm here today talking to you about that.

  I want us to think about us being Peter.

  I want us to think about when the day comes when Christ appears before all of
• 0:48
  us, would we deny him one time, let alone three?

  How many times have you doubted? How many times have you thought or second thought
• 0:59
  or second guest, I should say, our Heavenly Father? Where are you today?

  Where is your faith and where is your spirit and where is your growth as we

  Holy cow, I cannot believe the date. January 29th, 2025. January is pretty much

  gone, everybody. Hello, February.

  So my question was pretty, probably pretty, you're probably taken back by it

  right off the bat, right?

  Like, whoa, he's going there today. Yeah, I'm going there today.

  As I finished Mark, it's such an, wow, it's, it's, it's amazing to get started
• 3:03
  into the Bible and, and really dive into Matthew and Mark.
• 3:07
  And now I'm going into Luke, but here's the thing. I'm curious what you would do.

  Now, I don't think we can answer this question, you know, 100%.

  I know that we can, we're not in that moment.
• 3:21
  Let's, let me, let me just, let me go back and I'm trying to explain what I'm
• 3:25
  thinking in my head because I've got so many things wrapping around.

  So when I'm reading the, you know, the book of Mark and I'm listening,
• 3:31
  you know, to Peter being told, you're going to deny me three times.
• 3:35
  And we all know that he did.
• 3:38
  What's interesting about it is in that moment, he was afraid.
• 3:41
  He was uncertain. You know, I can understand, you know, everything that he went through.
• 3:48
  And when it finally was happening, you're almost puzzled by the fact that it was predicted.
• 3:54
  And then all of a sudden it's happening and you're in that moment.
• 3:57
  I get it. But also remember, they were still learning about God.
• 4:03
  They were still learning about Jesus. They were still had doubts and they were
• 4:08
  unsure and they couldn't believe everything that was told to them was actually happening.

  So that's from the Bible. Now let's talk about today.

  Where are you at with Jesus? Where are you at if someone walked up to you and
• 4:23
  said, hey, aren't you one of the people that follow him?
• 4:28
  Are you going to turn around and say, I don't know who you're talking about?
• 4:31
  Or are you going to say, yes, I follow Jesus Christ. He is my Lord and Savior.

  Yes, Jesus is my best friend. Yes, Jesus is my father. Yes, I stand behind him.

  Why am I bringing this up on a Wednesday? Well, when I was in my 20s and I was
• 4:52
  following Jesus and it was in my early growth,
• 4:55
  I didn't really talk about that with
• 4:58
  any of my friends in fear that they wouldn't want to hang out with me.

  I was Peter. And when they brought things up about church, I didn't answer,
• 5:09
  I just kept quiet out of fear.
• 5:12
  But as I got older and wiser, and I got closer to Christ, questions would come up.
• 5:19
  Let's hang out Sunday morning before football. No, I've got church.
• 5:24
  You go to church? Yeah. Oh, that's cool.
• 5:27
  Oh, yeah. Maybe we should go sometime. Great.
• 5:31
  Then, of course, another person, well, I go to Bible studies on Thursdays.
• 5:34
  Do you want to come? Oh, I didn't know you did.
• 5:36
  We all started to realize we had something in common.
• 5:40
  Now, I leave you with these words. Where are you with Christ?
• 5:46
  Would you deny him one time, three times, let alone what Peter did? Where are you today?
• 5:52
  And think about what Peter did. I'd love to hear your feedback. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, we thank you for today's message. And we thank you for my patience
• 6:03
  and understanding and trying to digest the Bible and understand it,
• 6:10
  trying to read the Bible.
• 6:12
  And I'm gonna reach out to Pastor Jim. I know he'll hear this and others just to talk about it.
• 6:19
  But don't be afraid to be with God. Lord, I ask you to pray for everybody in
• 6:24
  the Have Faith, Let It Begin family. I ask you to pray for all the military
• 6:27
  personnel, foreign and domestic. We pray for forgiveness, for understanding.
• 6:32
  We pray for our police and fire rescue.
• 6:35
  We continue to pray for all those that lost their homes in the Carolinas,
• 6:39
  in California, those that are rebuilding still from other hurricanes.
• 6:44
  We just pray that government officials can get along and just figure out a way to rebuild.
• 6:49
  Let the waters just overtake all that's left and allow the greens to grow and
• 6:56
  the grass to just flourish and the foundations to be ready to rebuild.

  We ask this of you, Lord, in your precious name, and we pray that all of you
• 7:06
  receive the Holy Spirit this morning.
• 7:09
  I hope that each and every one of you are okay with today's message and understand today's message.

  If you don't, I know how that feels. If you're a little overwhelmed by it, I understand.

  But know this, Jesus loves you. Jesus believes in you.

  Jesus will never leave your side.

  May God be with you. May he shine his light upon you and grant each and every

  single one of you peace on earth.
