- 0:34We invite you to sit down with us as we open the scriptures to learn more about
- 0:39who God is and to strengthen your daily walk with Jesus Christ.
- 1:03So often in our lives, we find ourselves overloaded with tasks and concerns
- 1:07to the point that we are overwhelmed.
- 1:10Join us in this podcast of Women at the Well Ministries, which was recorded
- 1:14live at a Women's Luncheon on May 16, 2026, as Kim takes us on a journey through the Scriptures,
- 1:22revealing that in spite of the load we are carrying, we have a living God who
- 1:27sees us, hears us, and wants to give us the hope in our situation,
- 1:32the comfort for our concerns, and the victory in our lives.
- 1:37Today, I'm going to spend a few minutes with you just as a person who loves
- 1:42Jesus, who's walked this path a while.
- 1:45I was saved when I was five, and I was brought up in a home where Jesus was lived.
- 1:51He wasn't just full. And we had a Bible memory system, and by the time I was
- 1:57in first grade, I was memorizing five verses a week.
- 2:01And when I was in college, my parents were still sending me five verses a week,
- 2:05and I was still memorizing.
- 2:07So it was cataloged in my brain that works like no one else's,
- 2:11and they're talking about that.
- 2:13I have a ton of verses, and they fly out. And my goal in life is to be like my parents.
- 2:20My mom and dad did what we referred to as God speak.
- 2:25Half their words were words that we would say, and the other half were part
- 2:29of King James' verses that they got in their heart and in their mind.
- 2:33And so I hope one day that the people in my life are speaking somewhere,
- 2:38and they said, I knew a girl that she God spoke.
- 2:41Half her words were hers and
- 2:44half of her words were his because that's
- 2:48what we're here for today we have been blessed to be born women and we are different
- 2:54than men i know this for lots of reasons the one i've worked for 31 years in
- 3:02a man's world as a research scientist for the federal government.
- 3:05And I will oftentimes be the only woman in a room of 100, 200, 300 people.
- 3:11And we are different. But God makes us different because what he has called
- 3:18us to do requires us to be different.
- 3:23I want you to, in your minds for the next few moments, I want you to cherish who you are.
- 3:30But I want you to be incredibly aware of who you are.
- 3:37Jesus Christ was born of a woman, born of a virgin.
- 3:42He could have done it any way that he wanted to do it.
- 3:45But God sent his son for me and you through a woman.
- 3:51And that was going to require that that woman
- 3:54had skill set that though they are
- 3:57incredible and though they are amazing they're the same things
- 4:00that the devil uses as tools against
- 4:04us so today we're going to talk for a little while about being overloaded but
- 4:09not overwhelmed because as women we take on things that are not ours to take
- 4:15on as women we want to see things done and done right.
- 4:21As women, we have an order.
- 4:24We have a semblance of organization, and we cannot leave things undone.
- 4:30But think about why that is an important trait that God has given every one
- 4:35of us in this room. It's because if God had not sent his son Jesus to be born
- 4:40of a woman who could complete the test, we would all be without God.
- 4:47But today we stand in the room of people who are just like Mary,
- 4:52called of God to complete a task.
- 4:56And I submit to you that that task that he's asking you to complete is not the ones on your to-do list.
- 5:04It's not the organization of your closet.
- 5:07It's not taking care of all the sitting in your neighborhood,
- 5:11though you may be assigned some of them. It's not about the things that you
- 5:16do that God has assigned you.
- 5:19It's about your position in him.
- 5:22And the position that God has assigned each of us is his child and his ambassador.
- 5:30And he requires that we be holy as he is holy.
- 5:36So when you come to this conversation today about being women and all the things
- 5:41that are on our plate, I want you for the next 20 minutes or so to enter your plate.
- 5:47I want you to just stop thinking about your to-do list.
- 5:51I want you to stop thinking about what Monday is going to bring for those that
- 5:55you were still working or those who have had plans.
- 5:58I want you to stop thinking about getting the kitchen clean or the Sunday school
- 6:03class taught tomorrow or the laundry done today.
- 6:07I want you to think about what God has to say to you today through a very special woman in Scripture.
- 6:15Today, we're going to talk about Hagar. And you're thinking, well, Hagar?
- 6:21Hagar didn't have anything to look for her. She was a maid. She got hacked off at Sarah.
- 6:27She elevated herself above Sarah. She was an Egyptian who got upset and started
- 6:33to go back in the wrong direction.
- 6:36What can we learn from Hagel? And life's best.
- 6:42Because God has given me some things to tell you. But to empty that place,
- 6:47please join me right now in prayer.
- 6:51Our countenance gracious to heavenly Father Lord, you have assembled this room today.
- 6:56And you have given me the privilege of being the person who gets to speak to
- 7:00them the words that you have.
- 7:02So Lord, I ask that you would clear our minds and that you would open our hearts
- 7:06and that you would speak to each of us individually as only the Holy Spirit
- 7:10can as he comes and speaks in our heart and our mind,
- 7:15convicting us and inspiring us and motivating us.
- 7:19But Lord, I ask on my behalf that you remove me from this message as far as
- 7:26the East is from the West and that you speak through these lips of clay and
- 7:32Lord, that I would be the instrument,
- 7:34you intended me to be to bring the word you have given for all us and in Jesus
- 7:41name we pray amen overloaded but not a woman tell me if you have more than three things.
- 7:50To the public rights. Most of us have more things to do today than we even know we can get done.
- 7:57Like we're looking at the list and we're going, we can't get it done.
- 8:01It's a, it's a kind of a joke in my house. I always say, put it on the list.
- 8:06Somebody's done. So put it on the list.
- 8:09But really what I want you to hear from me today, if you don't hear anything else, is this.
- 8:17You have one decision to make today.
- 8:20One job to do, and everything else will fall into place.
- 8:25That decision is, I have decided to follow Jesus.
- 8:31That task is I will be his child, and I will bring him on.
- 8:37That's your job. Everything else is answering.
- 8:42I'm not telling you that. From Genesis to Revelations, the greatest love letter
- 8:47ever written spells it out.
- 8:50On every page, regardless of your translation.
- 8:54Today, empty your life of the distractions God has placed in it.
- 9:02Some of us in this room have had bitter disappointments in the last few weeks or months.
- 9:09Some of us have lost loved ones years, maybe just a few months,
- 9:13maybe just a few days ago.
- 9:16My family had suffered a loss just a few days ago.
- 9:20But God is bigger than your problem. He's bigger than your obstacle.
- 9:25And he's bigger than you.
- 9:29And so today we unfold the things God puts in our hearts and organize them in
- 9:36a way that they'll be useful for us as women to do what he called us to do,
- 9:41which is to be his ambassador, to be his light.
- 9:45Remember Matthew 5, 14 to 16?
- 9:48We don't put a light in the bush, but we put it out on a candy stick for all the world to see.
- 9:53And Matthew 5, 16 says, So let your light so shine before men that they may
- 9:57see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
- 10:01So when we think of the word overwhelmed, it's my least favorite word in the English dictionary.
- 10:09I never use the word overwhelmed. Because when you use the word overwhelmed,
- 10:14are saying you've got a problem bigger than god can handle so get it out of there which i did.
- 10:20Overwhelmed says this feeling completely buried
- 10:23or unable to cope with an excessive amount of tasks responsibilities or emotions
- 10:32what gets the the christian in this is it says an excessive amount And God isn't
- 10:39going to put more on you than you can't bear through his grace and his glory.
- 10:44What gets the Christian is that he is overwhelmed, says, more than we can bear
- 10:50because we have an excessive amount of responsibilities or emotions that we can't cope with.
- 10:55But greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world.
- 11:00And so when the world is finding themselves completely in despair,
- 11:05when they are unable to function because of the weight that's been put upon
- 11:11them, we have a God bigger than that.
- 11:15We have a God who's greater than that. And in 1 Psalm 4, 4, he says that.
- 11:22He also tells us that we are to cast our care upon him, for he cares for you.
- 11:29He also explains to us in no uncertain terms that we're never alone and the
- 11:36battle's hot hours. It belongs to the world.
- 11:39So when I succumb to the idea that the burden I'm bearing is bigger than I can bear,
- 11:48Or I'm either admitting that I am not trusting in the king of kings and the lord of lords who said,
- 11:55my yoke is easy, but my wording is right. Remember that?
- 12:01I'm either not succumbing to him or I'm saying, this is too big for him.
- 12:08And none of us would ever do that.
- 12:11Hagar gets really, really close because life got really, really tough for her.
- 12:17In 2nd Corinthians chapter 4, I like to kind of use a filter for everything
- 12:23I talk about from here on out.
- 12:25When I get into a message, I want you to have something percolating in your
- 12:30mind, circling in your heart to allow you to attach everything else I'm going
- 12:35to say to, that God is able then to tease out things that don't belong.
- 12:40And the passage of scripture I want you to keep in your mind as we continue
- 12:44for the next few moments is this.
- 12:472 Corinthians 4, Precision 4 says this. But if our gospel be hid,
- 12:52it's hid to them that are lost. Have you thought about that?
- 12:57You're not just hiding it from your family. You're not just taking a little break.
- 13:02You're not just dealing with the things of life. And when things get better,
- 13:07I'll be a little more like God asked you to do. You're hiding your gospel.
- 13:13And you're hiding it from those that need it most. The people in your life are
- 13:18not in your life by accident.
- 13:20The person at the grocery store in front of you, I promise you, God bless.
- 13:25Either give them the bracelet that their lady makes, but at least embrace her
- 13:30knowledge and awareness that those that are put around you are someone God has
- 13:36given you to either show the light to them or get some light from them.
- 13:41Life has got to be lived intentionally and
- 13:45when we live intentionally at the feet of jesus we will
- 13:48find ourselves not overwhelmed sometimes
- 13:53when you're good at things people just keep piling
- 13:56things on you that's the overloaded part sometimes
- 13:59you don't hate to be good in any direction
- 14:03you want to take that sometimes being
- 14:06good at doing your job means when
- 14:09everybody else is bad at it and they can't get
- 14:12their 18 widgets done and you've got
- 14:1520 minutes left you're doing everybody else's quota it's okay when we couldn't
- 14:21pay a sin debt he paid ours see we have to get out of the mentality of what
- 14:28we deserve and be grateful we didn't get it Because we deserved help.
- 14:34We deserved to pay for our sins. But Jesus said no.
- 14:40So if our gospel is hid, it's hid to those who need it.
- 14:43In whom the God of this world have pondered the minds of them which believe
- 14:47not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God,
- 14:53should shine unto them. Let's break that down.
- 14:56He's saying, if you don't share the gospel, The God of this world,
- 15:02which is the devil, is certainly going to show who he is.
- 15:09And as children of God, as women who want to take care of things,
- 15:13who want to wrap everything up with a nice bow, at the end of the day,
- 15:17when we look back, we want to know that that nurturing spirit,
- 15:22that that loving capacity that he's given us,
- 15:25the enlargement of who we are to help others,
- 15:29the one thing we did get right that day was we show others who Jesus is.
- 15:36Because we followed him.
- 15:40We intentionally chose it.
- 15:431 Corinthians 15, 57 is a verse that I live on.
- 15:47I don't think there's a day of my life that I don't think of it,
- 15:51probably that I don't even quote it out loud.
- 15:54It's a verse in 18 though.
- 15:57He says, but thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 16:04We are winners, let's say that.
- 16:06We are winners. Why are we? We are winners.
- 16:12When's the last time as a woman, tired, overworked, overloaded,
- 16:18you woke up and said, I'm a winner.
- 16:22I'm telling you, it changes things.
- 16:25How do you think David would have done against Goliath if he'd have picked up
- 16:30those five snows? Listen, he was prepared.
- 16:33He knew God was going to take care of it, but he also knew his job was to be prepared.
- 16:38So he put his little pouch full of rocks.
- 16:41But how do you think he'd have felt when he walked out on that battlefield and
- 16:45said, Holy cow, I can't fight this guy. I'm out of here.
- 16:51We laugh, but we've done it today. We've been faced with something,
- 16:57at least in the last 36 or 42 hours, where we have been afraid.
- 17:03We weren't good enough. We couldn't get it done. It wasn't going to work.
- 17:08What was I supposed to do? So-and-so said I wasn't really good.
- 17:12So-and-so said I couldn't do it.
- 17:15We're not to live that way. No, David picked his five little stones,
- 17:21meaning he was prepared.
- 17:23He got his swing shut out. And you talk about trash off him.
- 17:27He looks like the John says, Today, the Lord's going to deliver your head to me.
- 17:33Now that's Victor. I don't suggest that you walk out of the super-soul grocery
- 17:39store and say something such as, Today, the Lord's going to hand your head to you.
- 17:44I don't ask you to say that to your boss.
- 17:47But I do say it to you. Duh. He's bruised under our feet.
- 17:54I need you to understand as you get to take on who God is in your life.
- 18:02See, we know who God is. We understand he's the creator of the universe.
- 18:07We get that he breathes fresh air into us every day.
- 18:12We understand that he brought the Israelites through the Red Sea on dry land.
- 18:20We understand that he led them by a pillar of day, a cloud, and a pillar of fire at night.
- 18:29But do you understand who he is to you?
- 18:33See, those are big, lofty things, and they're things to give us confidence.
- 18:37But I want you to know who He is to you.
- 18:41He whispered in your ear this morning that you were His.
- 18:46He wrote you the greatest love letter ever written to remind you that you are worthy through Him.
- 18:54He let you understand that He loves you so much that He doesn't want to be away from you.
- 18:59So the world He has gone to heaven to compare for you a place.
- 19:04Many mansions. And if it were not so, he would have told you.
- 19:08He goes to prepare a place for you that where he is, you may be also.
- 19:12He who are all, yes, my, not just when he was on the cross, that every single
- 19:17moment of every single day, because Jesus loves me. This I know.
- 19:23For the Bible tells me so. So the moral warning, before your feet hit the ground,
- 19:30the devil's been thinking about how he's an irritant.
- 19:33The coffee pots are going to be broken.
- 19:36Somebody's going to call you that you don't want to talk to.
- 19:39Something's going to happen. It's sunlit. God doesn't want you to,
- 19:43I mean, the devil doesn't want you to church.
- 19:45So tomorrow morning, something's going to happen. The same is to the fight.
- 19:49Kids are going to be late. Your car's not going to start. Your clothes will be wrinkled.
- 19:53Something's going to happen that just throws a monkey wrench into your death.
- 19:58And you can either go with that, or you can remember 1 Corinthians 15, 57.
- 20:03Thanks to God, which gives me the good thing.
- 20:07Through our ceases. And you just put your feet on the floor.
- 20:10And you throw your hands off. And you claim victory.
- 20:14Let's do this. I mean, you're in your sports band. Woo-hoo, baby. It's a touchdown.
- 20:19That's the universal sign of a touchdown, right? Yeah.
- 20:22The entire audience watching the gang is got their hands up,
- 20:29screaming and yelling, you think he's having revival at my church this week
- 20:33as super regionals for the college softball team.
- 20:35Wow, man, I've answered up all day long. But he's real.
- 20:39So it's amazing you know about how he led the Israelites.
- 20:43It's incredible how you know that he's forced reigned in the fire and he is a son of God.
- 20:49It's amazing that you understand that he
- 20:53shut the mouths of lions so that daniel
- 20:56can sleep peacefully but do you know he
- 20:59shuts your mouths of diet lions in more lives
- 21:02do you understand that he is asleep so that he's awake so that you can sleep
- 21:07do you get that your peace is more important to him than it is to you you know
- 21:14how i know that because he died to give you peace and isaiah 26 He says,
- 21:20I will keep in the perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusteth
- 21:25in thee. Do you trust in today?
- 21:29Here's how I'm reading. I want you to, if you would, in your mind's eye,
- 21:34and I will read for you out of Genesis chapter 16, beginning in verse 11.
- 21:39It's a short passage. It's a short passage.
- 21:4211 through 13, and he says this, And the angel of the Lord said unto her, this is Hagar.
- 21:48Hagar is pregnant.
- 21:53She has been given to Abraham from Sarah, Abraham's wife, because God promised
- 22:01Abraham and Sarah a child.
- 22:04And it didn't happen fast enough for Sarah.
- 22:08Here's what happens when we get the cart in front of the horse.
- 22:13When we get in front of God's plan for our lives. Bad things. It doesn't work.
- 22:18God has a plan, and it's a perfect plan. He tells us that in Jeremiah 29, 11.
- 22:23It's a good plan. The prospering, if you give you a book, will the exact end.
- 22:27So Hagar is the handmaid of Sarah. And Sarah gets this harebrained idea that
- 22:35I want a child, I wanted it yesterday, it isn't coming, so I'm gonna take back.
- 22:41So I'm just going to help him out here, and I'm going to tell him how this would happen.
- 22:47So Sarah has her handmaid, Hagar, go be the wife of Abraham.
- 22:54And Abraham and Hagar have relationships that require them to husband and wife,
- 23:02and now suddenly Hagar's herself.
- 23:06But now that Hagar is a child, Sarah don't want it.
- 23:11Bad idea, she's saying, well, it's a little late. That's not going to undo.
- 23:16And now Hagar's getting a little full of herself.
- 23:20She's the woman of the house of Hermon. And she's the person that gave Abraham what Sarah couldn't.
- 23:28So now Sarah and Hagar have a horrible relationship.
- 23:32And Sarah is mean
- 23:35to Hagar and she's had enough so
- 23:39Sarah goes to Abraham and says listen this Hagar lady she's acting like she's
- 23:45a woman of the house and I am a niece so we'll do with you for whatever you
- 23:49want you are the woman of the house so she becomes even more mean to Hagar.
- 23:57Hagar says, I can't take it anymore. I've had it. I'm at the bottom of the bottom, the low of the low.
- 24:05And I like, have you ever felt that way? You're at wit's end.
- 24:10Every way you turn seems to be a dead end or somebody's hurting you.
- 24:15Every dream you have is being squashed, sometimes by the people who mean the world to you.
- 24:22Everything that you think God is saying, every point you've made in one moment in history is over.
- 24:31That significant other has passed. And now you've got to figure out a new way to live.
- 24:37And how do God think this is a good idea?
- 24:40This is where Hagar is. As we pick up our reading in Genesis chapter 16, beginning at verse 11.
- 24:47And the angel of the Lord said unto her, behold thou
- 24:50art with child and shalt bear a son and shall
- 24:53call his name ishmael because the lord
- 24:56hath heard thy affliction and he
- 24:59will be a wild man and his hand will be against every
- 25:02man and every man's hand against him and he shall dwell in the presence of all
- 25:07his brethren and she called the name of the lord that spake unto her thou god
- 25:13seest me for she said have i also here looked after him that seeth me.
- 25:20So here's what we have. Hagar has run to the desert.
- 25:24You need to realize that I am one of the world's worst Yobbush people in the world.
- 25:28But I do know that when she ran, she ran back towards Egypt.
- 25:34She's running back to the land that she was being delivered from.
- 25:38She's being, she comes back. She's going back where things were not the way
- 25:44they were supposed to be in her life or what she was supposed to be doing.
- 25:48What is the first thing we want to do when we decide to run from God?
- 25:53When things get hot and trouble comes our way, we shut down or we move away.
- 26:00But he says, draw nigh unto me and I will draw nigh unto you.
- 26:04That's when he wants us to decrease or not be running away and we need to run
- 26:08to but hagar doing it all along have you been there doing it all along hagar shows us who god is.
- 26:23Hagar is in the middle of this and the lord comes to her and he has a conversation and he says to her,
- 26:31you're going to have a kid and his name's Ishmael and then he says that means God has heard.
- 26:39So the first thing I want you to know when you are overloaded and you've even
- 26:44made the wrong decisions to get yourself there, God hears your cry.
- 26:52And he's near. He shows up and has a conversation with a woman who is really not in right scene.
- 27:01She's not doing anything right. But Jesus comes to her.
- 27:06She's confused. She's angry. She's hurt.
- 27:11She doesn't know what to do. She doesn't know where to live.
- 27:14She doesn't know where to go.
- 27:15All her plans are completely destroyed.
- 27:20And God almost tight in front of her says to her I know the situation you know I understand,
- 27:30and I hear you God is no respecter of persons so if you're running from him
- 27:37right now because you hate the situation you find yourself in or he didn't consult
- 27:42you about how things were going the guilt of your life,
- 27:45or you feel like he has deserted you,
- 27:48I want you to know they're no lower than Hagar, and you're no different than Hagar.
- 27:53He loves you enough to come in your overwhelmed state, because you are overwhelmed,
- 28:01and it's not going to, and you can't navigate this life alone.
- 28:06What he's wanting to do is he's wanting to understand how to unload what's on
- 28:12your heart, and try to unload what's in their minds and lay it at the feet of
- 28:17Jesus, casting all your care upon him.
- 28:21Call unto me and I will ask to be and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.
- 28:26In Jeremiah 33, Jesus, you have seen this, I know.
- 28:31The Bible tells me so and Hagar shows. And so they continue this conversation
- 28:37and we see that she refers to him as Elor, the God who sees.
- 28:43And she names him the God who sees.
- 28:48God intimately knows and cares for Hagar.
- 28:53But I want you to see what he does. If you read the rest of Genesis chapter
- 28:5716, he sends Hagar back to where she was coming from.
- 29:02Not to Egypt, but to Sarah.
- 29:05We don't get to run away from our problems.
- 29:10Jesus walks through them with us.
- 29:14I bring to your attention that the three Hebrew children, who have more faith
- 29:19than I will ever be able to muster up, said to the king, even if he doesn't
- 29:25save me, we're not bound now.
- 29:28That's believing his plan is right, no matter how it is.
- 29:33We like to believe his plan's right when it matches what we want. Ha!
- 29:40That's not faith at all. That's just giving him a little nudge because you got what you want.
- 29:49Faith is walking in the direction who takes you and not liking any steps.
- 29:56You don't have to like him. He got his voice. And something interesting happens
- 30:01along that walk, hand in hand with Jesus.
- 30:04I have to believe that she walked and made her way back to the palace.
- 30:08Or back to where he was at, where Abraham and Sarah lived, which was probably a palace in my life.
- 30:15I have to believe as he held her by the hand, because he never leaves you or
- 30:21forsakes you, that each step got a little easier.
- 30:26And that by the time she made it back to where Sarah was, enveloped in the love,
- 30:32grace, and mercy of Jesus, that Hagar was perfectly comfortable in that place.
- 30:40Sarah may not have changed. Abraham may not have changed. But she'd been in
- 30:44the presence of Jesus. She changed.
- 30:48If you're in that season in your life where you're feeling overwhelmed,
- 30:52and maybe you are, get overloaded.
- 30:55I know the dulling stitch.
- 30:58But so do you. It's the foot of the cross.
- 31:03All your sins and all your issues and all your problems were nailed to the cross
- 31:08once for all, then on that day.
- 31:14But sometimes we hold on to what we should do.
- 31:18Sometimes we forget that the God we serve sees us and hears us.
- 31:26He sees your deep pain. He sees your loneliness.
- 31:30He sees your despair.
- 31:33And he's at home. He did not leave Hagar alone in the desert.
- 31:40He walked her back. He stayed with her. He says, I'll never leave.
- 31:45You will forsake him. You're not alone in your desert.
- 31:48You're not alone in your situation.
- 31:53And he's got some good to make up. He is the way, the truth, and the life.
- 31:59And hand in hand with him, And how can you end up in the wrong place?
- 32:05You don't have to worry about how to do things or why to do them. He gave you the why.
- 32:12How many of you have either said this to you and still have ever heard it? Was I said to?
- 32:17Hated that line from my mom, but I didn't question it. Was I said to?
- 32:23He said so. He said how to live.
- 32:29And he said hey you read this i'll explain it to you through the holy spirit,
- 32:36hide it in your heart and it'll fight you against sin hang on to it with your
- 32:42whole life cling to it with everything you have and it'll bring you joy and
- 32:47peace and comfort it'll be light in the darkness.
- 32:51It'll show you the way when you're confused. It'll stick by you when everyone else is pulling away.
- 32:57It'll keep you warm in your heart and prospering away. The devil wants you to be distracted.
- 33:05He doesn't want you to understand that Romans 8.28 says, and we know that all
- 33:10things work together for the good to lend a love of the Lord to tend to involve the religious.
- 33:14I don't see you ever. I can float down all day long, upside down,
- 33:19every wish wedding. is a big verse in my family.
- 33:22But I have situations currently in my life I don't even see.
- 33:26But I don't have to see. I believe it. He said. And that's all I need.
- 33:34Because I'm not smart enough to navigate the world he created.
- 33:38I don't know what tomorrow brings. I don't know what the next five minutes brings.
- 33:42I think I have an idea what it could change.
- 33:46But he does. us see we get our minds false on the things that don't happen we
- 33:54forget that his plans are the right place we forget that Hagar shows us that
- 34:01no one is ever invisible we've all said it gone,
- 34:05he's right with open arms asking me to take a step forward he'll just meet you
- 34:11there he's going to come with open arms.
- 34:14And their special ones. At the end of them, on your scarred hands, it proves the option.
- 34:19We forget that he hears us in our affliction. We forget that he hears our cry.
- 34:24We forget that David wrote an entire book about it.
- 34:29We forget that these owls were the.
- 34:33We build relationships with friends, we build relationships with co-workers,
- 34:36we build relationships with our family, and all of that is fantastic.
- 34:41We even try to build relationships with our balls, maybe that'll help us in getting our God alone.
- 34:46We don't build relationships with Jesus.
- 34:49Why is that? I don't have time to be my beloved. I don't have time to be my
- 34:52beloved. I don't have time to pray. Are you kidding me?
- 34:57Okay, you said pray without ceasing. It's an attitude. It's a way of posture as my house.
- 35:03Thus, if you who were married or in relationships with significant others would
- 35:08have been, how long would your marriage last if you never talked to each other,
- 35:14except some days when the preacher is preaching?
- 35:18Most of you, I would feel safe to say, did not order your spouse's film magazine.
- 35:25So you spent some sort of time. I've never been to him, so that's why I was
- 35:29saying these things more without apprehension.
- 35:32I imagine you spent time getting to meet them. That's what I've done with my friends.
- 35:37And I've spent time with them. I've asked them about things they like.
- 35:42I've played with them. I've cried with them. I've prayed with them.
- 35:47Jesus is real and if you're feeling overwhelmed it's because you haven't dumped
- 35:53your troubles on he who could fix him if you're overloaded it's because you
- 35:59need to talk to him about his gift.
- 36:02Jesus loves me this I know and I know he's personal because he went to Hagar pushing,
- 36:10there's been plenty of prayer to hide my pet and I know he's personal he's there,
- 36:16He told her about what that means.
- 36:19And in answer for him, in John chapter 4, the woman at the well comes to Jesus.
- 36:25And he tells her all things that she did. And that she's currently living with
- 36:30a man she's not married to.
- 36:31Not to condemn her, but to say, hey, I know you are. And I'll wait in on this well for you.
- 36:35He's a person. She meets him and she walks out.
- 36:39John chapter 4 verse 29 says, come
- 36:41see a man who told me all things ever I knew. is not this, the Christ.
- 36:48He wants to show you who he is.
- 36:52But you're so busy worrying about everybody else and everything else.
- 36:56You're so consumed by your schedules, so consumed by your to-do list that you have scheduled him out.
- 37:06But I've had the news. He's still there.
- 37:11Romans chapter 8, as I close, verses 37 to 39, he says this.
- 37:18Nay, in all these things, we are more than conquerors.
- 37:23Through him that loves us. What? Him that loves us.
- 37:29Come on. Him that loves us. What do you?
- 37:34Jesus asked me this, I know. And then he says, for I was labeled that neither
- 37:39death nor life nor angels nor principalities.
- 37:41No powers, no things present, no things to come, no heights,
- 37:45no deaths, no any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God.
- 37:53Jesus loves me. He's a hell.
- 37:58Hey, God shows me you can't go so far and lift up so bad.
- 38:04Sarah, who got ahead of God, ends up with God giving her a son.
- 38:14The woman at the well, who the world shunned, he waited for.
- 38:20He's not interested in your mistakes. He's interested in your possibilities.
- 38:26Because he is the God of all possibilities.
- 38:31Mark 9.23 says, as thou canst believe. All things. What?
- 38:36All things are possible to him that believed us.
- 38:42So today, as I close, don't allow yourself to be overwhelmed because nothing
- 38:48in your life is beyond what you can eat.
- 38:52Don't carry a lobe that isn't yours to carry. Cast it upon him. Who cares? Free.
- 38:59Everybody's balanced and loved Jesus loves me and today he has said that a dozen
- 39:04times, so we're to sing it.
- 39:06So pardon the voice, and go with the song.
