- 0:11Dayna Roselli: RuPaul makes a special appearance on the Las Vegas Strip and was slapped on stage with a full audience watching.
- 0:18Dayna Roselli: It's not that scandalous actually.
- 0:21Dayna Roselli: We were there and we'll tell you all about it.
- 0:23Sean McAllister: Hot Vegas temps and even hotter tempers.
- 0:26Sean McAllister: From fights to vandalism, even a naked guy on a blackjack table, social media's been buzzing with these Vegas stories.
- 0:35Dayna Roselli: And did you know Corey Feldman is a musician?
- 0:38Dayna Roselli: Well, neither did we, but he's playing Vegas.
- 0:41Dayna Roselli: We'll share the details.
- 0:43Sean McAllister: All that and more coming up on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:46Dayna Roselli: Let's spin that wheel.
- 0:51Sean McAllister: Welcome to episode 177 of Vegas Revealed.
- 0:55Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister here, along with Dayna Roselli and you know we just had a very unique experience that a lot of Las Vegas visitors aren't going to have.
- 1:05Sean McAllister: We were inside the Las Vegas home of the Muppets.
- 1:09Dayna Roselli: I know this was such a cool experience.
- 1:12Dayna Roselli: You guys Stick around.
- 1:12Dayna Roselli: We're going to talk more about it.
- 1:13Dayna Roselli: We actually, if you're watching the video version, we're going to have some video too.
- 1:17Dayna Roselli: We'll also put it on our social, but we'll explain Basically.
- 1:20Dayna Roselli: Our friend has a beautiful home and he, yes, has a Muppet room.
- 1:26Dayna Roselli: It's cool.
- 1:27Sean McAllister: Incredible.
- 1:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 1:29Sean McAllister: Like stepping into the world of Muppets.
- 1:30Sean McAllister: Can't wait to share that experience with you coming up.
- 1:33Sean McAllister: Kind of an experience that we really could wait to share with you, but something that's not exciting to talk about.
- 1:41Sean McAllister: There has been a bunch of bad behavior on the Las Vegas strip lately.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: I know, you know it's just been all the chatter, especially this week, because I think it was like all in a row.
- 1:50Dayna Roselli: Obviously it gets people talking.
- 1:52Dayna Roselli: We're seeing all the videos on social media.
- 1:54Dayna Roselli: But you know, three things kind of stick out to us.
- 1:57Dayna Roselli: That happened in Las Vegas this week and in the end everyone's OK.
- 2:04Dayna Roselli: So there's that.
- 2:06Sean McAllister: There is that.
- 2:06Sean McAllister: So there, you know, but you might have seen, yeah, so there was another roof down underneath where things were landing, so fortunately it didn't look like pool.
- 2:52Sean McAllister: Guests were immediately in danger of those falling items, but people were scared, but authorities and you know the hotel, obviously nervous about anything else when broken windows are, you know, facing crowds of people.
- 3:08Dayna Roselli: I've never seen that before.
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: No, a broken like somebody breaking a window and throwing things out of it, like in one of our hotel casinos.
- 3:15Dayna Roselli: We've both been here a long time, so that was odd, I was like what is going on.
- 3:19Sean McAllister: It was an hours long standoff.
- 3:21Sean McAllister: Police ended up arresting the guy, the female who was being held hostage.
- 3:25Sean McAllister: She was in police custody and reportedly not injured.
- 3:30Sean McAllister: Just a weird situation.
- 3:34Sean McAllister: Weird situation In a string of what seemed to be isolated incidents.
- 3:39Sean McAllister: But just kind of mind boggling to.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: Very mind boggling.
- 3:45Dayna Roselli: There was this video circulating around a guy that was completely naked.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: Was it a blackjack table or craps?
- 3:52Sean McAllister: It looked like a blackjack table.
- 3:53Dayna Roselli: It was a table game, and sitting on the table at Harris, he just, I guess, climbed up.
- 3:58Sean McAllister: He was completely naked sitting on the table, then stood up on the table in the middle of the casino.
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: It was so gross for me to watch I couldn't.
- 4:07Dayna Roselli: I was like I don't want anyone's bare body sitting on a table game in the middle of a casino.
- 4:13Sean McAllister: Hey Harris, if you're listening, I hope you changed out that felt.
- 4:16Sean McAllister: Oh, I hope so.
- 4:19Dayna Roselli: Oh my goodness, yeah, that was very, very odd too.
- 4:22Dayna Roselli: So a lot of people talking about that.
- 4:24Dayna Roselli: Then there was also this brawl involving a bunch of women at the win, yeah, and it looks like from the video a security got on it right away.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: I mean, things happened, but it was odd because it kind of seemed to start one place.
- 4:38Dayna Roselli: They were moving and then other people were involved and you're watching these girls fight and you know.
- 4:43Dayna Roselli: Everything is on video these days, literally everything.
- 4:47Sean McAllister: Well, and especially on a casino floor.
- 4:49Sean McAllister: I mean, there's surveillance video, but then all the guests who are around with their phones are going to whip their phones out and start taking video too and then post it social media.
- 4:59Sean McAllister: If it's on security cameras at the casino, chances are it's not going to make it out to the public unless the casino wants it out there.
- 5:05Sean McAllister: But with everybody around with phones now things are going to be posted immediately.
- 5:11Sean McAllister: And the crazy thing about that girl fight at the win was like at the very end when a lady pulls up on one of those jazzy power scooters, jumps off and gets into the fray.
- 5:22Sean McAllister: I'm like what is going on here?
- 5:24Dayna Roselli: I don't know, but that was crazy.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: Yeah, but back to the video thing Britney Spears realized this week last week or this week, the last week that you know everything.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: She knows everything's on video.
- 5:36Dayna Roselli: But you know she had talked about the whole security incident.
- 5:39Dayna Roselli: She went to take a picture with a basketball player, was trying to get his attention.
- 5:42Dayna Roselli: His security guard pushed her back, hit her face on that whole line.
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: She had said she'd fallen down but then everyone started to release this piece of video that someone caught like just shooting it on their phone, and you can kind of really see what happened.
- 5:56Dayna Roselli: So won't get into details about that one.
- 5:58Dayna Roselli: But again, it's so crazy how video just surfaces always.
- 6:05Sean McAllister: It does, it does, and even though we talk about this bad behavior, it's because it's been posted so much across social media platforms and it has been, you know, buzz worthy this week, so that's why we're talking about it.
- 6:20Sean McAllister: It is important to mention security, and law enforcement jumped on every single one of these situations in media.
- 6:29Sean McAllister: You can see that there was a presence of security and law enforcement at every single one of these incidents in those videos.
- 6:36Sean McAllister: So we just want to point that out.
- 6:38Sean McAllister: It's not like things are, you know, going off the rails and there's nobody to stop anything.
- 6:44Dayna Roselli: And like things like this, like not always the same, these specific examples, but things do happen in Vegas all the time.
- 6:51Dayna Roselli: It's a place where people come and maybe they drink a little too much, they gamble a little bit too much.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: There are things going on.
- 6:59Dayna Roselli: I don't know all that kind of thing, but it just seemed like this week it was condensed, so it was a big talker.
- 7:05Sean McAllister: It did so still got place to be, and when temperatures rise, it does seem like, as we mentioned at the intro of the show tempers rise too, and so let's just all take a chill pill, get your ice water hang out, cool down.
- 7:23Dayna Roselli: It's hot in the studio today.
- 7:25Dayna Roselli: I brought my ice water.
- 7:26Sean McAllister: It is Well, it's going to be 120, close to 120, here in the next few days.
- 7:32Dayna Roselli: So hey, something we did this week we want to tell you about that.
- 7:35Dayna Roselli: We have talked about in the past, but again we just feel like we need to reiterate because it is such a good deal.
- 7:40Dayna Roselli: We took the monorail out.
- 7:41Dayna Roselli: We were going to the Flamingo and we thought, well, the Flamingo has a monorail stop and obviously I live near one of the monorails stations, so but anybody can go to a monorail station.
- 7:54Dayna Roselli: We recommend the Westgate.
- 7:56Dayna Roselli: I'm to go there.
- 7:58Dayna Roselli: They have free parking and in hop on for two bucks round trip.
- 8:02Dayna Roselli: If you're in Nevada local, you show your ID and it's not much more than that if you're not a local.
- 8:08Dayna Roselli: We got on the monorail and you know it's great.
- 8:10Dayna Roselli: We had a drink in our hand, just kind of a casual cold drink.
- 8:14Dayna Roselli: We went on the monorail, we got off, we walked right to where we needed to be the showroom and then we took it back home and we're able to enjoy ourselves, not worry about parking, not pay for parking, not worried about being in the three hour time limit before the.
- 8:30Sean McAllister: You know the parking price was going to kick in and it was just a nice Way to enjoy a night out and monorails arrive Every eleven minutes, so it's not like you're sitting there waiting forever for you know the next ride to come.
- 8:46Sean McAllister: You know every eleven minutes that train is going to pull up.
- 8:48Sean McAllister: You hop on and Go to your spot and their air conditioned cars.
- 8:53Sean McAllister: So it's nice and cool in there and you get some great views along the way you do.
- 8:57Dayna Roselli: We discovered something new the sphere is along the path you literally drive by.
- 9:04Dayna Roselli: Is it driving?
- 9:05Sean McAllister: to drive ride by.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: The sphere literally.
- 9:11Dayna Roselli: I mean, it was at one point right here.
- 9:14Dayna Roselli: So we're hearing everyone Talk about they want to go see the sphere on the outside, they want to look at what they're doing.
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: And we looked below and there was a lot of traffic there was a time.
- 9:24Sean McAllister: There are so many cars.
- 9:25Sean McAllister: That are trying to drive over close to the sphere now to you know, get the picture, get video, whatever.
- 9:32Sean McAllister: And it is cause some some congestion over there.
- 9:35Sean McAllister: Even the like the side street that's really only been used for construction workers up until this point was totally clogged.
- 9:45Sean McAllister: People were doing you turns in the middle of the street right there, clogging up traffic down Twain which is the street if you drive turns into sands, it does drive up that street.
- 9:58Sean McAllister: It's like the sphere looks like it's right at the end of the street right and so that's a great picture spot.
- 10:03Sean McAllister: But there have been so many people out walking and parking and driving along there to try and get shots, so it has been.
- 10:10Sean McAllister: Yeah it has caused quite the quite the stir sure has.
- 10:14Dayna Roselli: so I mean, that's the thing, even if you aren't Going anywhere on the monorail, just take the monorail for a ride for dollar fifty if you're local, or whatever it is, for fifty if you're not and see the sphere that way, because here's what here's, when you pull out of the Westgate station right, you're pulling out this way the sphere is right here, so you're seeing it from a distance and it's a great shot.
- 10:32Dayna Roselli: And then you're gonna bend and you're gonna go buy it this way, and so it was such a cool experience to see it.
- 10:40Dayna Roselli: I say, take the monorail for a ride, even if you're not going.
- 10:44Sean McAllister: Well, here's the deal.
- 10:44Sean McAllister: Even a multi day pass is less than you would spend on one Uber ride right so it's worth it and it's so convenient.
- 10:52Sean McAllister: Lots of stops on and off the strip.
- 10:55Sean McAllister: So monorail, that is our non tip tip of the week.
- 10:59Sean McAllister: And it was a great one, we were going by going this.
- 11:02Dayna Roselli: We need to talk about this.
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: I love everyone's gonna love it.
- 11:04Dayna Roselli: We were headed to a RuPaul's drag race live over at the flamingo.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: They had their five hundredth show.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: This show, you guys, is just killing it.
- 11:14Dayna Roselli: It's selling out like every night and we're just hearing that.
- 11:19Dayna Roselli: You know it's a.
- 11:20Sean McAllister: It's a huge hit over there at the it is one of the best selling shows On the Las Vegas strip.
- 11:28Dayna Roselli: And now we know why because we went back.
- 11:30Dayna Roselli: We had been there at the opening and loved it, but you know you hadn't been in a while and we were there and just the full house and the energy and the numbers and the humor and the costumes, it was fabulous and it was just a joyous night out in Vegas, just fun and RuPaul himself.
- 11:49Sean McAllister: Mama Ru was there in the audience the night that we were there for that five hundredth show.
- 11:55Sean McAllister: Rupaul got up on stage to welcome the audience and really was very humbled seemed very humbled by the entire experience of, first of all, having a show on the Las Vegas strip but second of all, having it be such a success that is selling out and packing in crowds night after night over at the flamingo showroom and it really is such a fun show.
- 12:18Dayna Roselli: It is, and in listen kudos to the Queens in the show when you got RuPaul sitting in the audience watching you.
- 12:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah it's got to be nerve wracking, right.
- 12:26Dayna Roselli: But they put on a fabulous show and then we sacheted this way over to a party after party where they had available, like buckets of his drink that he has now in the can.
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I got an alcoholic drink in a can.
- 12:41Dayna Roselli: There was like a strawberry daiquiri in a margarita, so I'm so happy he's like just the brand is so elevated now From the drag race shows, the live streaming channel, the drink that compliments it, the live show at the flamingo there's now a new app, a gaming app.
- 12:57Sean McAllister: Oh, that's fun as part of the whole empire.
- 13:00Sean McAllister: By the way, rupaul's drag race the show just picked up another Emmy nomination as well, so congratulations on that.
- 13:09Sean McAllister: But there was one specific part of the show where RuPaul got back up on stage and it was for a part of the show where things really could have gone very wrong.
- 13:21Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 13:21Dayna Roselli: So he was doing like okay.
- 13:23Dayna Roselli: So I don't know, do they do the fake slap in the TV show a lot?
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: Is that the deal?
- 13:27Sean McAllister: Yes, so okay because.
- 13:28Dayna Roselli: I don't exactly watch the TV show.
- 13:30Sean McAllister: Yes, so they throughout the course of the you know it's a reality competition series and is one of the competitions there's always, there's always acting challenges.
- 13:40Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 13:40Sean McAllister: And frequently in these acting challenges, they have to do the fake TV slap.
- 13:46Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 13:46Sean McAllister: You know, like the dynasty kind of right.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: I can't fight like how could you or the moon struck the share moon struck exactly.
- 13:54Sean McAllister: So there's a section of the show where normally it's an audience member that's brought on stage to take part in this fake slap situation, but they brought Ru up on stage.
- 14:07Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 14:08Sean McAllister: And the host of the show was very nervous that the fake slap could turn into a real slap really quick if she wasn't careful.
- 14:18Dayna Roselli: Right, but it was interesting how they were talking about how you do it and you do the motion and the sound effect comes up.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 14:25Dayna Roselli: What a fun time that was.
- 14:27Sean McAllister: It really was.
- 14:28Sean McAllister: So there was a RuPaul slap up on stage, but it was a total acting slap.
- 14:34Sean McAllister: There was no actual contact.
- 14:37Dayna Roselli: Yes, no contact, and they did it twice.
- 14:39Sean McAllister: They did, because the first time it didn't quite sync up with the timing didn't quite work out.
- 14:44Dayna Roselli: The sound effect was a bit off, so RuPaul wanted to get it right.
- 14:46Dayna Roselli: Great party, great time.
- 14:48Dayna Roselli: Go see RuPaul's Drag Race Live over at the Flamingo.
- 14:51Dayna Roselli: It's fantastic.
- 14:52Dayna Roselli: While we were there, Dita Von Teese she was actually in the audience and we told you Dita's coming out with a show in the iconic Jubilee theater over at the Horseshoe, which is formerly or Baileys.
- 15:04Dayna Roselli: A lot of people still don't know that, so we always like to say Baileys, turn to Horseshoe.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: So you know that theater and Dita's going to be doing.
- 15:11Dayna Roselli: She's like the queen of burlesque around the world.
- 15:13Dayna Roselli: We're excited and we got to have a little private conversation with her.
- 15:16Dayna Roselli: I said, hey, sean, let's go talk to Dita.
- 15:17Dayna Roselli: So we went over and it was so nice to talk to her.
- 15:20Dayna Roselli: She's thrilled to be here.
- 15:22Sean McAllister: She is over the moon, especially to be in that theater with such an iconic legendary history and to be utilizing the sets and the costumes that Jubilee just made famous.
- 15:37Sean McAllister: And she's so excited and, first of all, super down to earth and chill.
- 15:43Sean McAllister: Dita Von Teese is just the coolest.
- 15:48Dayna Roselli: We talked with her a lot about a lot of things that are like, well, we just met her, but she opened right up.
- 15:54Sean McAllister: So it was kind of funny right.
- 15:55Sean McAllister: It was.
- 15:55Sean McAllister: She was great.
- 15:56Sean McAllister: I loved it.
- 15:57Sean McAllister: But she did give us a little scoop about what she's planning for the show as well.
- 16:01Sean McAllister: You know, jubilee had a seemingly a cast of hundreds in that show.
- 16:08Sean McAllister: It sounds like she wants to emulate that not with a cast of hundreds, but she is gonna have a pretty sizable cast as part of this show with around 30 people, which is pretty big for a Las Vegas production these days.
- 16:23Dayna Roselli: Right, I mean it'll look great.
- 16:25Dayna Roselli: I mean you need it's a big theater and the stage is big, so you do need a cast.
- 16:29Dayna Roselli: You know, so I'm glad that she's doing that, but I love that she's gonna have.
- 16:33Dayna Roselli: I mean, I just love big numbers and so I'm excited to see what she does with that she had also talked about.
- 16:39Dayna Roselli: We had asked her, like is it gonna be a topless show?
- 16:42Dayna Roselli: We were curious because you know, and she said no, you know.
- 16:45Dayna Roselli: And she said you know what?
- 16:46Dayna Roselli: I'm sticking with pasties.
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: I just don't wanna go there.
- 16:49Dayna Roselli: And I was like I was kinda glad to hear that because I like leaving a little to the imagination and the costumes, it just takes away from looking at the view and it's just gonna be.
- 16:58Dayna Roselli: I think it's gonna be fantastic.
- 16:59Dayna Roselli: I'm glad she kinda made that decision to be honest, yeah, I agree, I think that.
- 17:04Sean McAllister: And you know, and that is the point, I think of the art of burlesque too.
- 17:09Sean McAllister: It is the art of the tease, and if you take the tease away and everything's there, I feel like that goes into another realm that isn't burlesque.
- 17:19Sean McAllister: I agree, I agree.
- 17:20Sean McAllister: So I think it's a great decision.
- 17:23Sean McAllister: You know that show opens up this fall beginning of October over at Horseshoe, so I'm really optimistic that that is gonna bring in some crowds who are craving that old school Vegas showgirl vibe.
- 17:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and she's gonna use some of those jubilee costumes.
- 17:42Dayna Roselli: She said I'm so happy that I got in there before anyone else.
- 17:45Sean McAllister: She said she was like a kid in a playground.
- 17:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so we actually had some people comment under our social media posts that they've already got their tickets, so I think tickets are going and she's gonna be ready to go.
- 17:55Dayna Roselli: She's doing, I think, thursday, fridays and Saturday, so keep that in mind and you can go get her tickets right at the Horseshoe website.
- 18:03Sean McAllister: And, by the way, pretty reasonable ticket prices for Dita Von Teese over at the Horseshoe as well.
- 18:09Sean McAllister: We had a big comedy weekend here in Las Vegas.
- 18:14Sean McAllister: Dana and you went and checked this out over at Resorts World.
- 18:17Dayna Roselli: I did.
- 18:17Dayna Roselli: Kevin Hart always does his heartbeat weekend and he did it at Resorts World this year and I went to one of the shows.
- 18:24Dayna Roselli: I've never seen him do live stand-up.
- 18:25Dayna Roselli: So got the invite and was excited to go over and see Kevin do some stand-up, because I know I've talked about this before, but I saw him on the New Year's Eve special and he was hilarious and I was like I need to see.
- 18:37Dayna Roselli: I just love his delivery.
- 18:38Dayna Roselli: He's so funny and I love those Jumanji movies too.
- 18:41Dayna Roselli: He's funny in those.
- 18:42Dayna Roselli: So anyway, it was great.
- 18:46Dayna Roselli: First of all, when I arrived the line was like wrapped around.
- 18:48Dayna Roselli: I mean, he was sold out.
- 18:50Dayna Roselli: The line was long.
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: People were excited to go see Kevin.
- 18:55Dayna Roselli: He had a few warm-up comedians that were excellent as well.
- 18:58Dayna Roselli: He did start a little bit late on Friday night, but it was because the crowds were so big.
- 19:02Dayna Roselli: So enjoyed it.
- 19:04Dayna Roselli: Kevin was hilarious.
- 19:05Dayna Roselli: He had another show on that Saturday and then he had a lot of things going on.
- 19:09Dayna Roselli: He was shooting a podcast that was gonna be seen live, I think out in the pool area they did things at Zouk Night Club.
- 19:14Dayna Roselli: I think it was Jack Harlow that came in during the weekend too to do something with Harttbeat Weekend.
- 19:20Sean McAllister: Yeah, he had a bunch of celebrity guests in town that were a part of different activities that were spread throughout.
- 19:26Sean McAllister: And, dana, while you were over there, you got some scoop about another comedian who has just been crushing it here in Las Vegas lately.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we were talking with our friends over at AEG and they were saying and you've probably heard a lot of you listening who say, oh Roseli, how do you not know who this is?
- 19:41Dayna Roselli: I don't know, I've never heard of Theo Von, but he is extremely popular.
- 19:45Dayna Roselli: Apparently they were saying that he actually had a show over at the Encore, because the Encore over at the win is getting a lot of really good comedians.
- 19:51Dayna Roselli: Through the years he booked a show.
- 19:54Dayna Roselli: They had to add another show.
- 19:55Dayna Roselli: They had to add another show.
- 19:56Dayna Roselli: He just sold out and apparently it was a huge hit.
- 20:00Dayna Roselli: People love him and so I was excited to hear that comedians are coming in and selling out and that we're getting such a high caliber these days.
- 20:08Dayna Roselli: I feel like through the last three or four years, we're getting the best of the best that are continually coming back or booking more than one show, which I love.
- 20:18Sean McAllister: And I feel like Theo Von brings in a much younger audience too, which is great to have so many options for different age ranges of fans.
- 20:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I don't know if he goes on the Joe Rogan show or he's a part of the Rogan show, but the person that I was talking to said you know what I lean left, theo Vaughn leans right, but it was just funny.
- 20:41Dayna Roselli: It was just funny, funny comedy.
- 20:43Dayna Roselli: And when we chatted with Bill Maher recently, who leans left, we were chatting with him about what kind of crowd he gets and what kind of jokes he does and he said listen, I do jokes that are just funny.
- 20:55Dayna Roselli: If you are a Republican, a Democrat in the middle, whatever, you're just gonna laugh.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: And when I was talking with the folks over at AEG they said that's how they felt about Theo Vaughn.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: He was just funny.
- 21:06Dayna Roselli: That's great, and so I love that and hopefully Theo will be back.
- 21:08Dayna Roselli: I mean, he did really well here, so it could be someone that we'll see in town maybe a lot more often.
- 21:15Sean McAllister: Good, well, we look forward to that.
- 21:16Sean McAllister: Another thing to look forward to coming up this fall, but tickets are on sale right now.
- 21:21Sean McAllister: Comedian Tom Papa is also going to be over at the Encore Theater at Wynn.
- 21:26Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and he's performed there before, but I love that he keeps coming back.
- 21:29Dayna Roselli: One of my favorites through the years.
- 21:31Dayna Roselli: He's consistently funny, very, very relatable.
- 21:35Dayna Roselli: He does some really funny stuff about social media.
- 21:37Dayna Roselli: So, it's hilarious.
- 21:39Dayna Roselli: He's very like you know.
- 21:42Dayna Roselli: He makes fun of himself in situations.
- 21:44Dayna Roselli: Love Tom.
- 21:45Dayna Roselli: I'm glad that he's coming back to the Encore as well.
- 21:48Sean McAllister: So that show is September 2nd.
- 21:50Sean McAllister: As I said, tickets are already on sale.
- 21:53Sean McAllister: Well, if he's talking about social media, he can add threads into the mix.
- 21:57Dayna Roselli: We'll see what he says about that.
- 21:59Sean McAllister: Which, by the way, vegas revealed, and Dana Roselli and Sean McAllister are all on threads now too.
- 22:05Dayna Roselli: We are threatened.
- 22:06Sean McAllister: If you need another app to add your little social media bubble on your phone.
- 22:09Sean McAllister: Listen, this is something we didn't really realize.
- 22:15Sean McAllister: But Corey Feldman, the actor like Lost Boys, Loved Lost Boys Like huge 80s actor back in the day, he's a musician now had no idea.
- 22:26Dayna Roselli: I was like reading this press release and I was going wait, and I think I was at my desk right next to you and I was like Corey Feldman Sing?
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: I don't even know if he does sing, he's a musician, he's part of this band, but he is actually gonna play the sand dollar over at the plaza, coming up, and I was like, really Corey Feldman's playing the sand dollar, so I love this.
- 22:48Dayna Roselli: I mean, why not?
- 22:49Sean McAllister: right, why not I?
- 22:51Sean McAllister: There was somebody I saw who I posted the flyer For this show and she was like I don't know what to expect from this, but at the very least it's gonna be interesting so I'm gonna be there.
- 23:05Dayna Roselli: I know I want to go.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: Love retours is what it's called, and he's gonna be over at the plaza November twenty fifth.
- 23:13Dayna Roselli: Tickets started twenty bucks in advance.
- 23:16Dayna Roselli: Twenty five at the door there on sale at plaza tix dot com.
- 23:20Dayna Roselli: Guest must be twenty one years are older.
- 23:22Dayna Roselli: But hey, listen, I love this.
- 23:24Dayna Roselli: So I don't know, I don't know if Corey Feldman sings, plays instruments, does it all I'm into it will find out over at sand dollar.
- 23:33Dayna Roselli: Oh my god, I mean, I used to be such a huge Corey Feldman.
- 23:35Dayna Roselli: Lost boys is one of the movies that I always found Is a little bit creepy like it is a little and I always, like I don't know, was intrigued when I watch.
- 23:44Dayna Roselli: It was like I liked it.
- 23:46Dayna Roselli: I liked one of my favorite movies when.
- 23:47Dayna Roselli: I was younger, so I haven't seen in a long time, though, and I might need to revisit it before I see Corey Feldman at the sand dollar at the plaza binge a whole night of Corey Feldman movies, I okay.
- 24:00Sean McAllister: so now this was our big, exciting, fun outing and we want to tell you about it here, on Vegas revealed, because it's something that's not open to the public, right?
- 24:12Sean McAllister: You're not gonna be able to go and see this and experience this except Through our experience, so that's why we're so excited to share this day.
- 24:22Dayna Roselli: I know it was such a great time.
- 24:24Dayna Roselli: So here's the deal.
- 24:25Dayna Roselli: Little background, okay.
- 24:26Dayna Roselli: For a long time I've known, I had a friend.
- 24:29Dayna Roselli: Andy Wamsley lives here in Las Vegas.
- 24:31Dayna Roselli: He is an incredible set designer.
- 24:34Dayna Roselli: He has an actual Emmy from Designing a set for American Idol back in the early days.
- 24:41Dayna Roselli: I mean, he is an Emmy award winning set designer, has been nominated very, very a lot to.
- 24:47Dayna Roselli: So I'm Andy, also designed many sets on the Las Vegas strip the RuPaul set that we just went to the RuPaul set yeah.
- 24:54Dayna Roselli: And so Andy has been trying to find the perfect home to a couple of his passions, like create some rooms that embrace his passion for certain things and one of his things that he loves the Muppets.
- 25:08Sean McAllister: Which is the best, because I am a Muppet lover to love, love, love the Muppets yeah.
- 25:14Dayna Roselli: So him and his wife, amy, invited us into their home, and Amy Loves tea, so I wanted a British tea room.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: So Andy designed a British tea room as well, so she has a British tea room, which was Gorgeous.
- 25:30Dayna Roselli: And then Andy has his Muppet room and we got to see both of these.
- 25:34Dayna Roselli: If you're watching our video podcast, you're gonna see some video.
- 25:37Dayna Roselli: If you're listening to us, go to our social media, will post some clips there too.
- 25:40Dayna Roselli: But Andy is a worked with Jim Henson and he has collected Muppets through his entire life and done some incredible work with Jim Henson, and now he has replicated literally like the Muppets set in one of his rooms.
- 25:57Sean McAllister: Because you remember on the Muppet show, that original Muppet show, how you know, the show started with Kermit on stage with the red curtain backdrop is the Muppet show and it took place in that backstage area where you can see the stars dressing rooms, up on the balcony and back.
- 26:17Sean McAllister: Kermit had his work desk in front.
- 26:19Sean McAllister: Andy has replicated that backstage area in his home and it is down to the most minute detail.
- 26:33Sean McAllister: Yep, exactly the same.
- 26:36Sean McAllister: It was so nostalgic stepping in there.
- 26:40Dayna Roselli: It was, and he even said the latter in the background.
- 26:42Dayna Roselli: If you look at the show, it's just a little off-center.
- 26:45Dayna Roselli: His is off-center, like it's crazy.
- 26:48Dayna Roselli: Like you said, all the details he's collected.
- 26:50Dayna Roselli: We were looking at the wall.
- 26:51Dayna Roselli: We were like, oh my gosh, he had everyone, from beaker to the grumpy old men, to the Miss Piggy to Fawzi and everyone.
- 26:59Dayna Roselli: He had everyone.
- 27:00Sean McAllister: Pigs in outer space oh my gosh.
- 27:02Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, it was just the coolest thing to experience.
- 27:08Sean McAllister: And then we he gave us the opportunity to actually control some of the Muppets as well, and it is not easy.
- 27:16Sean McAllister: I think we each have a new appreciation for what those puppeteers do and how they make these Muppets look like real life creatures.
- 27:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you need some strong arms too, you do yeah, and Andy's getting really good at it too.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: He did a little Kermit the Frog sample for us and it was fantastic and it really brought back a lot of memories.
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: We had so much fun.
- 27:41Dayna Roselli: We wanna thank Amy and Andy for allowing us into their home and showing us what they've done over there.
- 27:47Dayna Roselli: It is so cool.
- 27:48Dayna Roselli: Another little thing that we learned that we didn't know until we went there is they had a little plaque on the wall and they learned when they moved into this home that it was actually the home where Sharon Stone lived while she was filming Casino.
- 28:03Sean McAllister: I mean, is that not the coolest thing?
- 28:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, just for like a couple months while she was here shooting, because she, I'm assuming, lives in LA.
- 28:08Dayna Roselli: So that was kind of a cool little factoid.
- 28:10Dayna Roselli: We learned too.
- 28:11Dayna Roselli: So such a fun Vegas-y night for us over there at Amy and Andy's house.
- 28:15Sean McAllister: It was Amy, andy and little dog Gizmo.
- 28:19Sean McAllister: Thank you all for welcoming us into your home.
- 28:21Sean McAllister: We had a blast.
- 28:23Sean McAllister: That was a great time.
- 28:24Dayna Roselli: It really was.
- 28:24Dayna Roselli: And Gizmo the dog has his own bone-shaped pool.
- 28:27Sean McAllister: I mean, listen, a home that is lived in by an award-winning Emmy, award-winning set designer is just a magical place.
- 28:39Sean McAllister: Everything about it is magical.
- 28:43Sean McAllister: Those two rooms, the Muppet Room and the Tea Room, were like over the top magical.
- 28:48Sean McAllister: But the rest of the house is just.
- 28:49Sean McAllister: Every detail has been thought about and just curated in such a special way and that it's from stepping in the front door to the backyard.
- 29:00Sean McAllister: It's a phenomenal, phenomenal home.
- 29:04Dayna Roselli: And I know Andy was saying he's really looking forward to and is probably going to do, I think, dita Vontis' new show over at the Jubilee Theater that we were talking about earlier.
- 29:13Dayna Roselli: I think he'll do a beautiful set for that.
- 29:15Dayna Roselli: And then he's saying you know, if it's true that Paris Hilton is coming in for a show which rumor has it is almost locked in, he wants in on that set design too, cause he's like his wife is a huge fan of all pretty things and she's like I want Andy to do that set so bad.
- 29:32Dayna Roselli: So hopefully, fingers crossed, andy, I'll get that he gets all the best jobs cause he is the best.
- 29:37Sean McAllister: So Paris work with Andy.
- 29:39Dayna Roselli: That's hot right.
- 29:40Sean McAllister: He'll do it right.
- 29:41Sean McAllister: It will.
- 29:42Sean McAllister: That'll be hot.
- 29:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, let's do some tips.
- 29:53Sean McAllister: So to start out tips this week we have a couple big movies that are opening across the country this week.
- 29:59Sean McAllister: Number one is Oppenheimer, number two is Barbie.
- 30:04Sean McAllister: So we're going to start with Oppenheimer, cause there's tie ins to both of those movies here in Las Vegas.
- 30:09Sean McAllister: Oppenheimer is the story of the guy who created the first atomic bomb, who was like the head of the process to create this weapon of mass destruction.
- 30:24Sean McAllister: But here in Southern Nevada there were strong ties to atomic testing for decades and we still have an atomic museum here in Las Vegas.
- 30:38Sean McAllister: They're in Las Vegas.
- 30:39Sean McAllister: That's a Smithsonian affiliate that documents this whole process, including that very first bomb from the Trinity test.
- 30:50Sean McAllister: That was the first atomic bomb ever detonated on US soil and they have replicated that bomb and you can now get up close to it.
- 30:59Sean McAllister: It's not active, just a prop, but you can get up close to it and actually see and learn and experience a lot of what happened during that atomic era and it really is a fascinating place.
- 31:14Sean McAllister: We were fortunate enough to go and do some work over there at the atomic museum and there are some really great stories.
- 31:23Sean McAllister: They've done a good job documenting that period of time.
- 31:27Sean McAllister: That obviously was a very deadly period of time and they recognize that as well and they say we need to learn from what has happened in the past so that we don't make those same mistakes moving forward.
- 31:40Sean McAllister: Hopefully, there will never be another nuclear weapon used and needed.
- 31:46Dayna Roselli: Yes, exactly.
- 31:47Dayna Roselli: I mean, this museum is great and I don't think a lot of people know that it's here.
- 31:51Dayna Roselli: So I think this is a great tip for folks that come into town to visit us and locals to say, hey, go to the atomic museum.
- 31:59Dayna Roselli: We weren't sure what it was gonna be all about when we went and then we were like this is really interesting.
- 32:03Dayna Roselli: They have a pop culture exhibit Very interesting, and I think it's worth taking at least three hours to walk around or two hours and just explore it.
- 32:16Dayna Roselli: I was noticing recently they used one of the videos that we had done for them just to promote the museum, and I noticed all the comments under there from people who had visited the museum saying it was one of the best museums.
- 32:28Dayna Roselli: We loved it.
- 32:29Dayna Roselli: We loved our experience there.
- 32:31Dayna Roselli: So I know it's something that a lot of people who love museums really thought was well done.
- 32:37Dayna Roselli: So go over to the atomic museum.
- 32:39Dayna Roselli: It is just to the east of the strip, not very far.
- 32:42Sean McAllister: Yeah, so go and see Oppenheimer in movie theaters and then get your ticket to the atomic museum here in Las Vegas so that you can like fill in the blanks of the movie and get more of the story behind what you see up there on the big screen.
- 32:57Sean McAllister: It is a really cool spot.
- 32:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I love that.
- 32:59Dayna Roselli: Well, I feel like the movie theater experience it's all been suffering lately.
- 33:05Dayna Roselli: So I love that this movie's coming out and the Barbie movie I mean, everyone has seen the Barbie movie is coming out.
- 33:10Dayna Roselli: It's probably like, okay, enough Barbie, but it's a big deal and I love that.
- 33:16Dayna Roselli: It's just kind of making it more out there and more prevalent that we have movie theaters and movies are still opening in movie theaters.
- 33:24Dayna Roselli: We haven't had that since Top Gun.
- 33:26Sean McAllister: I feel like where there was, like that phenomenon, a big release, a big release where everyone was going, so we're excited about that, and Mission Impossible now too.
- 33:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, mission Impossible is coming out, so we got lots of good movies in the theaters.
- 33:36Dayna Roselli: Good time during the summer to go keep cool.
- 33:39Dayna Roselli: But we are having a Barbie rave dance party in town and I thought this was really fun over at Brooklyn Bowl.
- 33:45Dayna Roselli: And if you've never been, brooklyn Bowl is great.
- 33:47Dayna Roselli: The food is great, the bowling is great, they have live shows over there and it's right at the link promenade and they are doing an event on.
- 33:56Dayna Roselli: I believe it's August 5th.
- 33:59Dayna Roselli: Let me look.
- 34:00Dayna Roselli: Let me look, cuz I get August fifth and it's a Barbie rave dance party.
- 34:05Dayna Roselli: It sounds like a blast.
- 34:06Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be in your favorite plastic pop star bops, barbie inspired outfits encourage.
- 34:13Dayna Roselli: It's presented by candy pop.
- 34:16Dayna Roselli: There's some free local parking.
- 34:17Dayna Roselli: Residents of Clark County who purchased a ticket will receive free parking the night of the show at any Caesar self parking locations.
- 34:25Dayna Roselli: So it sounds like a blast.
- 34:27Dayna Roselli: If you're interested in going over to Brooklyn Bowl for this Barbie rave dance party, I think a lot of people are gonna attend and doors open at 9pm and you have to be 18.
- 34:36Dayna Roselli: And over a very unique Barbie experience to be a part of yeah, there's so many different things happening Barbie branches, all that kind of thing so I loved this Barbie rave.
- 34:46Dayna Roselli: I just thought of something different that is, that's great.
- 34:49Sean McAllister: Yeah, and reminder down in our show notes, we do have an affiliate link for roller soul.
