Latest / Outspoken the Podcast / Only Fans Creator Annie Knight Exposes the Athletes in Her DMs
Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:06Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:10Speaker 1: Kate Torber. I'm Sophie Torber. And I'm Amy Torber. And
- 0:13Speaker 1: coming up on today's show, Life Uncuts producer jumps ship
- 0:17Speaker 1: to rival podcast. Sky Wheatley waters down dating rumours. OnlyFans
- 0:22Speaker 1: creator Annie Knight calls out athletes for sliding into her DMs.
- 0:27Speaker 1: and Zoe Ray's backyard builders spark pronunciation debate. But first, Kate,
- 0:32Speaker 1: I think you caught a lot of outspoken listeners off
- 0:34Speaker 1: guard with your rebuttal to the bullying trend that we
- 0:37Speaker 1: spoke about on Tuesday. Talk about a stitch up. I
- 0:40Speaker 1: said that as a joke to make you guys laugh
- 0:42Speaker 1: and you kept it in there, but I'm actually happy
- 0:44Speaker 1: because a couple of people said it made them laugh.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So I'm glad that it was taken the way it
- 0:47Speaker 1: was I'm surprised we didn't get those messages from people
- 0:50Speaker 1: who were like, I had my children in the car
- 0:52Speaker 1: and was listening to this revolting. Someone did complain about
- 0:55Speaker 1: the swearing. And I have to say there were a
- 0:57Speaker 1: lot of F-bombs dropped in that episode. And it was
- 1:00Speaker 1: probably to an extreme level. So I do apologize for that.
- 1:04Speaker 1: But it wasn't even just in the bullying segment. It
- 1:06Speaker 1: was all throughout. We need a beeper. If you're wondering
- 1:10Speaker 1: where Kate gets her quick-witted nature from, we did the
- 1:12Speaker 1: trend with our parents last night. Let's have a listen
- 1:15Speaker 1: to some of their responses. Why is your nose so big? Arsehole. Jeez,
- 1:22Speaker 1: I think you need a haircut. Why are you so deaf?
- 1:27Speaker 1: Take a hike. The funniest thing is our dad is
- 1:32Speaker 1: a former high school teacher and he taught at some
- 1:35Speaker 1: pretty rough schools. So I feel like he has seen
- 1:38Speaker 1: or been involved in a lot of schoolyard drama. So
- 1:40Speaker 1: he's picked up some good one-liners. I never quite understood
- 1:44Speaker 1: who Annie was and why did it matter if she
- 1:47Speaker 1: was okay or not? OnlyFans creator Annie Knight has caused
- 1:51Speaker 1: a stir, outing a bunch of Aussie athletes for sliding
- 1:54Speaker 1: into her DMs. One of those athletes was AFL player
- 1:58Speaker 1: Clayton Oliver. who has responded to the allegation in a
- 2:01Speaker 1: rather unorthodox way, Kate. Now, before we get into it,
- 2:04Speaker 1: can you bring listeners up to speed with who Annie is? Well,
- 2:08Speaker 1: she is a 29-year-old OnlyFans creator and sex worker based
- 2:12Speaker 1: on the Gold Coast. And I think it's fair to
- 2:14Speaker 1: say that she's Australia's equivalent to Bonnie Blue. She calls
- 2:17Speaker 1: herself Australia's most sexually active woman. And she made headlines
- 2:21Speaker 1: last year when she undertook a public sex challenge where
- 2:24Speaker 1: she reportedly had sex with over 500 men in a
- 2:26Speaker 1: single day. Now, she has a massive online following. She
- 2:31Speaker 1: has 322,000 followers on Instagram and 104,000 on TikTok. And
- 2:37Speaker 1: what makes this story even juicier is the fact that
- 2:40Speaker 1: her fiancé is Henry Brayshaw. He is the son of
- 2:44Speaker 1: AFL commentator and former cricketer James Brayshaw. who used to
- 2:48Speaker 1: be one of the hosts on the footy show. Ever
- 2:50Speaker 1: since I found out that Annie dates James Brayshaw's son,
- 2:54Speaker 1: I'm just like, what is his reaction to it? Well,
- 2:56Speaker 1: she doesn't just date his son. They're engaged. So they
- 2:58Speaker 1: got engaged in March last year. They're set to get
- 3:01Speaker 1: married in October. It's not far away. They've actually known
- 3:04Speaker 1: each other for almost 10 years. So they met while
- 3:06Speaker 1: working at a pub together. And after a failed attempt
- 3:10Speaker 1: at dating, they remained friends for a number of years
- 3:12Speaker 1: and then rekindled their relationship in late 2024. I wonder
- 3:16Speaker 1: if that means that she has spent a lot of
- 3:19Speaker 1: time around the Brayshaw family because it's very sad. Annie
- 3:23Speaker 1: actually came out recently and confirmed that Henry is estranged
- 3:27Speaker 1: from James Brayshaw. So reading between the lines, it doesn't
- 3:30Speaker 1: seem like he's ultra supportive of this relationship. Now, Henry,
- 3:34Speaker 1: on the other hand, has always publicly supported Annie's sex work.
- 3:37Speaker 1: She actually took part in that sex challenge three months
- 3:40Speaker 1: after announcing their engagement. And she obviously was asked a
- 3:44Speaker 1: lot of questions about, well, how does this relationship work?
- 3:47Speaker 1: So she told her followers that Henry is monogamous and
- 3:50Speaker 1: they actually treat her sex work separate from their relationship.
- 3:54Speaker 1: It's sad to hear that Henry's estranged from his father because,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I mean, they've got a wedding coming up and I
- 3:59Speaker 1: feel like weddings usually either bring people together or push
- 4:03Speaker 1: people further apart. Yeah, well, I don't think this recent
- 4:06Speaker 1: situation would have helped anything nor the fact that they
- 4:08Speaker 1: are also starring in Stan's latest reality show called Turned
- 4:12Speaker 1: On Dirty Sexy Money. And they're on the show, they're
- 4:15Speaker 1: not holding back. So they've been delving into some of
- 4:17Speaker 1: Henry's personal issues. So in the past, he's spoken openly
- 4:22Speaker 1: about struggling with gambling and alcohol addiction. Why did it
- 4:25Speaker 1: make me laugh hearing you say the title of the show,
- 4:27Speaker 1: Turned On Dirty Sexy Money? Just the way you said
- 4:31Speaker 1: it was classic. Look, I haven't actually tuned into it,
- 4:33Speaker 1: but I think I might. Like it actually sounds really good. Now,
- 4:37Speaker 1: as I was saying at the end of the series,
- 4:39Speaker 1: Annie gives Henry an ultimatum to turn his life around
- 4:42Speaker 1: or she'll leave the relationship. I wonder if James Brayshaw
- 4:45Speaker 1: is tuning into that one or if that's something you
- 4:47Speaker 1: just pretend that you haven't seen it's on. Now, we
- 4:51Speaker 1: need to talk about Annie's call-out video because it's gone
- 4:54Speaker 1: absolutely viral. At the time of recording, it's had 1.2
- 4:57Speaker 1: million views on Instagram and 255,000 views on TikTok. She
- 5:03Speaker 1: definitely knows how to work the algorithm because she hooked
- 5:06Speaker 1: people in instantly by saying this. In honour of Scott
- 5:10Speaker 1: McCreery's dad and Baz Lenker's dating saga, I thought I
- 5:14Speaker 1: would out some of the AFL players and cricket players
- 5:16Speaker 1: that have slid into my DMs.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Sorry, boys.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Hold on, I'm confused. Who's the dad? I've missed something here. Oh,
- 5:23Speaker 1: my God, Sobhia, you're not across this. So I feel
- 5:26Speaker 1: so sorry for Collingwood footballer Bo McCreery because his dad, Scott,
- 5:31Speaker 1: was caught out sending a public message to Annie. So
- 5:35Speaker 1: it read as if he was propositioning her. It said, Hi, Annie.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I'm in Adelaide, SA. I would love to give you
- 5:41Speaker 1: a go. How do I go about seeing you? Hopefully
- 5:44Speaker 1: I hear from you. Now this obviously made headlines and
- 5:48Speaker 1: the Herald Sun contacted Scott who told them he wrote
- 5:51Speaker 1: the comment on a quote, a whim. Is he married?
- 5:54Speaker 1: I'm not actually sure about his situation, but when I
- 5:57Speaker 1: initially read the story, I read his name as Mick Creepy,
- 6:01Speaker 1: which I think seems like a better fit. Well, we
- 6:03Speaker 1: spoke in our subs episode a couple of weeks ago
- 6:05Speaker 1: about that poor Channel 7 reporter who got sacked and
- 6:08Speaker 1: then they found out later that her dad had been
- 6:10Speaker 1: trolling some of the reporters on social media. Yeah. This
- 6:14Speaker 1: is even more embarrassing for this footballer and another example
- 6:18Speaker 1: of why some parents should just not be allowed on
- 6:20Speaker 1: social media. I need to know the footballers that Annie
- 6:22Speaker 1: called out in her video because I'm sure there were
- 6:24Speaker 1: a few nervous people when her video went out. Well,
- 6:27Speaker 1: Bailey Smith got a mention at the start when she said,
- 6:30Speaker 1: you know, in light of Bazalenka, which is his Instagram
- 6:33Speaker 1: handle's dating saga, that was of course in relation to
- 6:36Speaker 1: That lobby selfie that went viral, you know, when he
- 6:39Speaker 1: was dating the two girls. We covered that in depth
- 6:41Speaker 1: on Friday's episode. Plural. Lobby selfies. Yeah, sorry. Lobby selfies.
- 6:46Speaker 1: There were two photos. He got a mention as one
- 6:48Speaker 1: of the AFL footballers that had slid into her DMs. Apparently,
- 6:51Speaker 1: he is a repeat offender alongside Giants player Clayton Oliver.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Cricketer Cooper Conley also got a mention. Annie served him
- 7:01Speaker 1: quite the ultimate burn though, saying that Henry had to
- 7:03Speaker 1: tell her who the cricketer was. She also provided the receipt.
- 7:08Speaker 1: So she shared alleged screenshots of the messages. To be
- 7:12Speaker 1: fair though, they weren't actually as bad as I thought
- 7:15Speaker 1: they were going to be. So Clayton wrote everything to
- 7:18Speaker 1: one of her Instagram stories. I think it was where
- 7:20Speaker 1: she was wearing some bikinis. He also wrote Annie. I
- 7:23Speaker 1: think the time codes were almost more incriminating. They were
- 7:26Speaker 1: very early in the mornings. Yeah, she also showed that
- 7:29Speaker 1: he had tried to call her at like 2.40 in
- 7:32Speaker 1: the morning. As for Bailey, he allegedly replied heaven to
- 7:36Speaker 1: one of her thirst trap photos. And he also asked
- 7:40Speaker 1: Annie to put in a good word for him with Lily. Now,
- 7:43Speaker 1: the Lily in question is Lily Phillips, who is also
- 7:46Speaker 1: an adult content creator. It was pretty iconic because Annie
- 7:49Speaker 1: closed off the video by flashing her engagement ring and
- 7:52Speaker 1: told the boys to stay out of her DMs and
- 7:55Speaker 1: she captioned the video, sorry boys, but you're trying to
- 7:57Speaker 1: cut Henry Brayshaw's lunch. So calmer, I guess. Do any
- 8:01Speaker 1: of these guys have girlfriends or wives? Well, we found
- 8:04Speaker 1: out last week that there are a lot of women
- 8:06Speaker 1: who think they're exclusive with Bailey Smith, but it seems
- 8:08Speaker 1: like he is single and Clayton Oliver is single. So really,
- 8:12Speaker 1: This is some single guys sliding into her DMs. I
- 8:16Speaker 1: know she's not single. I also think, though, if you're
- 8:19Speaker 1: willing to send a flirtatious message from your own account
- 8:22Speaker 1: when you have a public profile, then you should also
- 8:26Speaker 1: be open to those screenshots being shared. You should stand
- 8:29Speaker 1: by what you send. I mean, how many DMs would
- 8:31Speaker 1: these guys be sliding into? They would not even care. Also,
- 8:35Speaker 1: if you're sliding into Annie Knight's DMs, expect to be
- 8:38Speaker 1: exposed because this is clearly going a content piece for her.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I don't think she was offended by the fact that
- 8:43Speaker 1: they slid into her DMs. I mean, people are accusing
- 8:46Speaker 1: her of deliberately naming and shaming these guys to generate publicity. Yes,
- 8:50Speaker 1: that is exactly what she's doing. She knows how to
- 8:52Speaker 1: generate headlines and attention, which creates more money for her.
- 8:56Speaker 1: That is the whole business model for her. Particularly when
- 8:59Speaker 1: you consider the fact that these stories are being picked
- 9:01Speaker 1: up in the mainstream media, particularly in the sports media
- 9:04Speaker 1: where a lot of men follow. So in tune, they're
- 9:06Speaker 1: going to then hear about her and go, oh, maybe
- 9:08Speaker 1: I should follow her on OnlyFans. Some more AFL players'
- 9:10Speaker 1: dads might realise who she is. That's right. Now, behind
- 9:14Speaker 1: closed doors, Clayton Oliver made light of the situation. So
- 9:18Speaker 1: he was filmed by a teammate in the Giants locker
- 9:21Speaker 1: room after their win last weekend, singing the lyrics, Annie,
- 9:25Speaker 1: are you okay? From Michael Jackson's song, Smooth Criminal. Let's
- 9:29Speaker 1: take a listen.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Annie, are you okay? Annie, are you okay? Annie, are
- 9:34Speaker 3: you okay? Annie, are you okay?
- 9:35Speaker 1: Annie, are you okay? That's one of my favorite Michael
- 9:40Speaker 1: Jackson songs. Now, originally, when I saw this clip during
- 9:43Speaker 1: the rounds, I thought Clayton had shared the vision himself.
- 9:47Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, he's just taking a leaf
- 9:48Speaker 1: out of Bailey Smith's handbook from last week. He's trying
- 9:51Speaker 1: to turn this accusation into a joke. However, it turns
- 9:54Speaker 1: out that the video was actually posted by a popular
- 9:57Speaker 1: sporting Instagram called Forgotten Stuff. So that means that one
- 10:03Speaker 1: of Clayton's teammates leaked the vision to this Instagram account now.
- 10:07Speaker 1: GWS's captain Toby Green confirmed in an interview that, yes,
- 10:11Speaker 1: the vision had been leaked. And he said that the
- 10:14Speaker 1: playing group was still getting to the bottom of who
- 10:16Speaker 1: shared it. Reading between the lines, I think he actually
- 10:19Speaker 1: knows who did, but they just don't obviously want to
- 10:21Speaker 1: get that into the media. Toby said the team's WhatsApp
- 10:24Speaker 1: group had been blowing up since the vision went live.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I mean.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Clayton Oliver ended up leaning into it probably because he
- 10:31Speaker 1: got quite a positive reaction. I mean, people thought it
- 10:33Speaker 1: was funny. So he reposted the video on Instagram with
- 10:36Speaker 1: the caption, would love to know, are you actually okay?
- 10:40Speaker 1: And tagged Annie Knight. I mean, it is a good
- 10:43Speaker 1: way to acknowledge the story without actually confirming or denying
- 10:47Speaker 1: what Annie said.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I mean, by embracing it, he really is just disarming
- 10:51Speaker 1: Annie's attempt at embarrassing him. I mean, He's almost flipped
- 10:55Speaker 1: the embarrassment back onto her by making her the punchline,
- 10:58Speaker 1: which I don't really like. I mean, you're the one
- 11:01Speaker 1: that decided to contact her. So don't be so hurt
- 11:06Speaker 1: about it. I think it's fair because she was having
- 11:08Speaker 1: a bit of fun by naming and shaming them. And
- 11:11Speaker 1: now they've had fun with this video. I tend to
- 11:14Speaker 1: agree with you in this situation, Amy, but there was
- 11:17Speaker 1: a part of me that felt like it was almost
- 11:20Speaker 1: pushing into that territory where men call women crazy or
- 11:24Speaker 1: unhinged to try and diminish what they're saying by saying, oh,
- 11:27Speaker 1: are you okay? I wonder how GWS feel about it.
- 11:31Speaker 1: I mean, it's not a good look that this was
- 11:33Speaker 1: filmed in their locker rooms after a match. I would
- 11:36Speaker 1: hate to be a media manager at one of these
- 11:38Speaker 1: footy clubs at the moment because now that athletes have
- 11:41Speaker 1: their own social media and their own personal brands, it's
- 11:43Speaker 1: really hard to rein them in because back in the
- 11:46Speaker 1: day when there wasn't social media, you know, you just
- 11:48Speaker 1: had the footy club's brand to uphold. But now these
- 11:51Speaker 1: players are like, oh, well, I get probably more money
- 11:54Speaker 1: with sponsorship deals if I've got a big following. So
- 11:56Speaker 1: I'm just going to put whatever I want out there.
- 11:58Speaker 1: And I don't really care how it affects the club
- 12:00Speaker 1: at all. I actually think it's better for the game
- 12:02Speaker 1: because I think for a couple of years now, everyone's
- 12:04Speaker 1: been saying that the AFL is so sanitized. Everyone's media trained.
- 12:09Speaker 1: We don't have the big characters that we're used to.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I personally am only interested in in the footy when
- 12:15Speaker 1: a big scandal like this happens. It's definitely bringing personality
- 12:18Speaker 1: back into the game, but I don't know if it's
- 12:20Speaker 1: a good look, like particularly some of these scandals where
- 12:24Speaker 1: the AFL players are treating women quite poorly. It's not
- 12:27Speaker 1: really attracting female audiences. And it's just playing into that stereotype.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Something we never thought we would say. I'm going to
- 12:35Speaker 1: cry already. It's a day we– I'm going to cry too. No, actually,
- 12:41Speaker 1: it's a day we never thought would come. but it's here.
- 12:46Speaker 1: The podcast space has had a shake-up with news Life
- 12:49Speaker 1: Uncut's much-loved producer Keisha Pettit is jumping ship to a
- 12:53Speaker 1: rival podcast. Laura Byrne and Brit Hockley chose not to
- 12:57Speaker 1: reveal where their executive producer was headed next, sparking widespread
- 13:01Speaker 1: speculation among listeners. Now, Soph, the Life Uncut host broke
- 13:05Speaker 1: the news to their listeners last week in an episode entitled,
- 13:08Speaker 1: We Have Some Very Big News. I think this news
- 13:11Speaker 1: caught a lot of listeners off guard. The team said
- 13:13Speaker 1: that they had been sitting on it for quite a
- 13:15Speaker 1: while because they'd been away on holidays and they were
- 13:18Speaker 1: trying to figure out the best way to manage the situation. Now,
- 13:22Speaker 1: Laura and Britt led into the news by joking that
- 13:24Speaker 1: they'd fired Keisha, but they quickly revealed the real reason,
- 13:29Speaker 1: saying it was down to career progression. Let's take a
- 13:32Speaker 1: listen to some of what they said.
- 13:34Speaker 3: We are family here and we've all been working together
- 13:36Speaker 3: for so long. But the thing is, we are one,
- 13:40Speaker 3: even though the podcast does relatively well in the rankers,
- 13:43Speaker 3: we are one small podcast. Like we are one and
- 13:46Speaker 3: we live and breathe what Life Uncut is.
- 13:48Speaker 1: We're a family.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Yeah. And Keish has been at the top of what
- 13:52Speaker 3: this podcast can offer and what it is for as
- 13:56Speaker 3: long as we've had employees.
- 13:57Speaker 1: She was our first employee.
- 13:59Speaker 3: And there is no further to go in terms of
- 14:01Speaker 3: career progression or in terms of like next steps. And
- 14:04Speaker 3: we only want what's best for you. And we only
- 14:07Speaker 3: want you to continue to, oh.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I'm so sorry that I'm crying.
- 14:11Speaker 3: We only want you to continue to develop your skills
- 14:15Speaker 3: and to like do what makes you happy.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Just grow a little bit.
- 14:22Speaker 3: And just to be incredible.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Like we really want what's best for you.
- 14:25Speaker 3: I mean, we're devastated for us and that chair will
- 14:27Speaker 3: be a very hard chair to fill.
- 14:29Speaker 1: This is an absolutely massive blow for Life Uncut because
- 14:33Speaker 1: Keisha really brought a lot to the table. Not only
- 14:36Speaker 1: was she a producer, but she also acted as a
- 14:38Speaker 1: co-host when Laura was on maternity leave and also when
- 14:42Speaker 1: Britt's been overseas travelling to see her husband. Yeah, she
- 14:45Speaker 1: was very popular with Life Uncut's listeners. I'm a part
- 14:47Speaker 1: of their Facebook page and I often saw a lot
- 14:50Speaker 1: of commentary around the fact that people were hoping that
- 14:53Speaker 1: she was made a full-time co-host. Well, prior to working
- 14:57Speaker 1: at Life Uncut, she actually worked in Breakfast Radio on
- 14:59Speaker 1: the Hit Network and also on Sports Radio for Triple M.
- 15:03Speaker 1: So she did bring some audio experience to the team
- 15:06Speaker 1: as well. I can only imagine how difficult this conversation
- 15:09Speaker 1: would have been for her to broach with Laura and
- 15:11Speaker 1: Britt because They have built a really genuine friendship. I
- 15:14Speaker 1: have to admit, when I saw this news, I was like, oh,
- 15:16Speaker 1: my God, who's going to dog sit Brit's dog? Because
- 15:19Speaker 1: it seemed like Keisha was always looking after her beautiful dog.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I mean, I wonder if that was part of the
- 15:23Speaker 1: job description, look after dog whilst overseas. I mean, I'd
- 15:27Speaker 1: do it. The dog is so cute. It's interesting because
- 15:30Speaker 1: as they touched on in that grab, even though Life
- 15:33Speaker 1: Uncut is one of Australia's biggest podcasts, they haven't grown
- 15:37Speaker 1: into a podcast network like Shameless and Mamma Mia. Have
- 15:40Speaker 1: they only produced their one show? So in terms of
- 15:43Speaker 1: Keisha wanting to progress her career, it'd be really difficult
- 15:46Speaker 1: for her to do that at Life Uncut. I mean,
- 15:49Speaker 1: they have dipped their toe into a couple of spinoff series.
- 15:52Speaker 1: It was actually Keisha who produced a series through Life
- 15:55Speaker 1: Uncut called Cloud, and that was a 10-part miniseries about
- 15:59Speaker 1: late diagnosis of ADHD in women. And it was inspired
- 16:03Speaker 1: by her own experience. And she got a lot of
- 16:06Speaker 1: praise for that series. So I wonder if it was
- 16:08Speaker 1: that series who... got her the attention of her new employer,
- 16:12Speaker 1: which we will touch on in a second. I can
- 16:14Speaker 1: imagine it would be a difficult situation to be in
- 16:17Speaker 1: if you were Keisha because she came into Brit and
- 16:20Speaker 1: Laura's podcast business at a time where, you know, it
- 16:23Speaker 1: was in its infancy. It was clearly making some money,
- 16:26Speaker 1: but not as much money as it would be making
- 16:27Speaker 1: now because she was their first employee. They obviously were like, oh,
- 16:30Speaker 1: we've got a bit of money. We can actually pay
- 16:32Speaker 1: someone to help us out. In the last couple of years,
- 16:35Speaker 1: it's clear they're earning a lot of money off that podcast.
- 16:37Speaker 1: And she's probably sitting back going, maybe I can have
- 16:41Speaker 1: a piece of that pie for myself somewhere else. Yeah,
- 16:44Speaker 1: it would be tough, particularly because they are such close friends.
- 16:46Speaker 1: So she's probably in on just how much that podcast
- 16:50Speaker 1: is raking in. And then it'd be tough because she's
- 16:54Speaker 1: doing a pretty similar role to them. She's there for
- 16:56Speaker 1: all of the recordings. She's investing a lot of time
- 16:58Speaker 1: and energy into it, but it's not actually her baby
- 17:02Speaker 1: at the end of the day. So she's not able
- 17:03Speaker 1: to make the huge profits off it. Britt and Laura are,
- 17:07Speaker 1: it seems like Britt and Laura are very loyal with
- 17:09Speaker 1: who they work with because when they left ARN to
- 17:12Speaker 1: go to Listener at the start of the year, they
- 17:14Speaker 1: ended up bringing over Claire Rosaro, who was their Partnerships
- 17:18Speaker 1: Director at ARN. She also used to work with us.
- 17:21Speaker 1: She's absolutely lovely. And she now holds the title of
- 17:24Speaker 1: GM at Life Uncut. So this would be really emotional
- 17:29Speaker 1: for Laura and Britt to lose you know, their first
- 17:31Speaker 1: employee with Keisha. I think this is going to hit
- 17:34Speaker 1: them really hard. I mean, it clearly wasn't an easy
- 17:36Speaker 1: decision for Keisha. She was pretty emotional about it and
- 17:39Speaker 1: she spoke about how genuine Brit and Laura's friendship is.
- 17:44Speaker 1: She said that, you know, she's previously worked in radio
- 17:46Speaker 1: before and she's known a lot of on-air friendships that
- 17:49Speaker 1: are really hammed up for the optics. But she said
- 17:52Speaker 1: that she thinks Brit and Laura's dynamic is reversed because
- 17:56Speaker 1: they're actually so much closer off-air than people would assume. Well,
- 18:00Speaker 1: she described them as her best friends, bosses, and also
- 18:02Speaker 1: the closest thing to sisters. I mean, it's very clear
- 18:05Speaker 1: that Laura and Britt want what's best for her because
- 18:08Speaker 1: they said that they understand it's time for Keisha to
- 18:10Speaker 1: spread her wings and have a different adventure and that
- 18:14Speaker 1: they would support her no matter what. They did joke, though,
- 18:17Speaker 1: that it was never too late for her to change
- 18:18Speaker 1: her mind and that a seat will always be there
- 18:21Speaker 1: if she decides to come crawling back. The interesting thing
- 18:24Speaker 1: is this was a lengthy segment, but they didn't say
- 18:27Speaker 1: where Keisha was actually going. which sparked a lot of speculation.
- 18:31Speaker 1: And it seemed like Brit and Laura were trying to
- 18:34Speaker 1: avoid answering the question because listeners kept posting threads in
- 18:38Speaker 1: the Life Uncut group asking like, where's Keisha going? But
- 18:41Speaker 1: they weren't approved and comments were being deleted. In our
- 18:44Speaker 1: Facebook community, one listener wrote, is Keisha from Life Uncut
- 18:48Speaker 1: going to work at Shameless or Mamma Mia or something?
- 18:50Speaker 1: They won't say why she's leaving. They did say, we
- 18:53Speaker 1: won't support you publicly, but we'll support you privately. I
- 18:56Speaker 1: want to point out that that comment about not supporting
- 18:58Speaker 1: her privately was a bit tongue in cheek. Like it
- 19:00Speaker 1: was a bit of a joke. There were a lot
- 19:02Speaker 1: of guesses in our Facebook community as to where she
- 19:05Speaker 1: was going. Some of the guesses, as you touched on,
- 19:07Speaker 1: included Shameless and Mamma Mia, as well as Mitch Turi's
- 19:10Speaker 1: new podcast, The Big Small Talk or Kyle Sanderland's new podcast.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Others guessed maybe she was launching her own show. Should
- 19:17Speaker 1: we be offended that no one was like, oh, I
- 19:19Speaker 1: think she's coming to Outspoken? Yeah, she's coming to bigger
- 19:21Speaker 1: and better things at Outspoken podcast. They're going to offer
- 19:24Speaker 1: her absolute bank because they've been a bit run off
- 19:26Speaker 1: their feet now that they've got three kids. Maybe we
- 19:29Speaker 1: should have thrown that in as a suggestion just to
- 19:30Speaker 1: get a bit of publicity. Anyway, we can't afford her. Well,
- 19:33Speaker 1: the one question I have, I would love to have
- 19:36Speaker 1: her work here. Don't get me wrong. Now, on Monday,
- 19:38Speaker 1: it was revealed that Keisha was making the move to
- 19:41Speaker 1: Mamma Mia!, the women's media publication issued a press release
- 19:45Speaker 1: announcing her as the new EP of Mamma Mia Out Loud.
- 19:49Speaker 1: So she has moved on. on to Australia's number one podcast. Immediately,
- 19:53Speaker 1: I wondered, is this a new move from Mamma Mia's
- 19:56Speaker 1: new CEO, Luca Levine? And it appears it is because
- 19:59Speaker 1: in the media release, he said, we're building shows that
- 20:02Speaker 1: live everywhere our audience is across audio, video, social and community.
- 20:07Speaker 1: That takes exceptional people and we're investing in the strongest
- 20:10Speaker 1: pod team in the country. These three appointments, because I
- 20:13Speaker 1: hired two other journos, are a signal of where we're
- 20:16Speaker 1: headed and how serious we are about getting there. Now, Sophie,
- 20:19Speaker 1: you just casually touched on the fact that Mama Mia
- 20:21Speaker 1: has a new CEO. This was big news a couple
- 20:25Speaker 1: of weeks ago when it was announced because Luca Levine
- 20:28Speaker 1: is none other than Mia Friedman's 28-year-old son. There was
- 20:31Speaker 1: a lot of commentary around the fact that it was nepotism,
- 20:36Speaker 1: that it was you know, it wasn't on brand for
- 20:38Speaker 1: Mama Mia because he was male. This is despite the
- 20:41Speaker 1: fact that Mia Friedman's husband was CEO for majority of
- 20:45Speaker 1: the time Mama Mia has been in business. Look, I
- 20:47Speaker 1: won't have a bad word said about Luca Levine. We
- 20:49Speaker 1: have had some dealings with him and he is nothing
- 20:52Speaker 1: but professional. I can definitely see the optics of it
- 20:55Speaker 1: weren't great, but he's incredibly smart. It makes sense for
- 20:59Speaker 1: a family business. I saw a lot of people being like,
- 21:02Speaker 1: this is sexist. It should be a woman. And I
- 21:04Speaker 1: was like, It's actually not feminist for you to just
- 21:06Speaker 1: assume that a woman should be in the role. Feminism
- 21:09Speaker 1: is about gender equality, not just one person automatically getting something.
- 21:13Speaker 1: But I was like, it's nepotism if it's anything. Yeah,
- 21:15Speaker 1: let's call it for what it is. If you're going
- 21:17Speaker 1: to complain, it's nepotism. I can understand the criticism though.
- 21:20Speaker 1: I totally get it.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Oh, definitely.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I mean, as we said, the optics weren't great and
- 21:25Speaker 1: there was a lot of backlash over it. They ended
- 21:27Speaker 1: up recording this episode with Luca on it and it was...
- 21:32Speaker 1: Mia Friedman, Holly Wainwright, and then Jesse Stevens, who is
- 21:36Speaker 1: Luca Levine's wife. They have three children together interviewing him.
- 21:40Speaker 1: So it was kind of like, oh, I don't know
- 21:42Speaker 1: if this actually helps the situation because it's like, here's
- 21:45Speaker 1: my mom and my wife pumping up my tires because
- 21:49Speaker 1: he came across quite modest. He was like, oh, I
- 21:51Speaker 1: don't really want to talk myself up. And then Jesse
- 21:53Speaker 1: and Mia were like, but you've done this and that.
- 21:56Speaker 1: And I'm like, This probably would have been better if
- 21:58Speaker 1: it was more neutral people interviewing him. That being said,
- 22:01Speaker 1: Jessie also pointed out that if she wasn't involved in
- 22:03Speaker 1: Mamma Mia and she saw the headlines, she would also think, oh, what? Like,
- 22:07Speaker 1: this is crazy. Like a 28-year-old son of the owner.
- 22:11Speaker 1: But anyway, I genuinely think, though, that he is the
- 22:15Speaker 1: right person for the job. And I think, if anything,
- 22:17Speaker 1: this latest move from him is a stroke of genius.
- 22:20Speaker 1: It shows that he has his finger on the pulse
- 22:21Speaker 1: when it comes to the podcast world because This is
- 22:24Speaker 1: a very big get. She has a large online following.
- 22:27Speaker 1: People are invested in her life. They will then go
- 22:30Speaker 1: from life on cut over to listen to Mama Mia
- 22:32Speaker 1: out loud. And to be honest, I think Mama Mia
- 22:35Speaker 1: out loud needs a breath of fresh air because I
- 22:38Speaker 1: used to listen three times a week. Obviously, I don't
- 22:41Speaker 1: have as much time now having a young son, but
- 22:44Speaker 1: I'm not as into the topics and I feel like
- 22:46Speaker 1: maybe they need someone else listening. to revitalize it. What
- 22:50Speaker 1: Mamma Mia have done recently is also not rely on
- 22:54Speaker 1: just having their three regular hosts. So they've also got
- 22:58Speaker 1: Amelia Lester on board. They've got Em Vernon also on
- 23:01Speaker 1: the Friday show. Big fan of her. Yeah, I love
- 23:03Speaker 1: Em Vernon. I wouldn't be surprised if Keisha moves into
- 23:07Speaker 1: one of the regular hosting gigs as well. Oh, definitely.
- 23:09Speaker 1: I think that that would be part of the contract.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I mean, Surely they're also offering her some serious cash
- 23:14Speaker 1: to make the move over. As you touched on, Kate,
- 23:17Speaker 1: they are Australia's number one podcast. They've had 156.4 million downloads.
- 23:23Speaker 1: So there's obviously prestige involved in her moving over, but
- 23:26Speaker 1: I also think it would have taken a lot of
- 23:29Speaker 1: cash for her to leave her friends behind. And also
- 23:31Speaker 1: when you work with your friends, It's probably quite difficult
- 23:35Speaker 1: to negotiate a new wage. I mean, she started working
- 23:39Speaker 1: at Life Uncut five years ago. When they initially hired her,
- 23:42Speaker 1: they probably weren't paying her that much. She was their
- 23:45Speaker 1: first hire. And so whether that wage has gone up,
- 23:49Speaker 1: who knows? I think that Brit and Laura would remunerate
- 23:52Speaker 1: their friends well. I think it's probably just at a
- 23:54Speaker 1: point where, as I said, there's not a career progression. And,
- 23:58Speaker 1: you know, if she wants to earn bigger figures, then
- 24:00Speaker 1: she has to go elsewhere. Yeah. Do you reckon that
- 24:03Speaker 1: Life Uncut is secretly pissed behind closed doors? They have
- 24:06Speaker 1: had this friendly banter with Mamma Mia in the past
- 24:09Speaker 1: because both shows kept being put up for the most
- 24:11Speaker 1: popular show at the podcast awards and Life Uncut kept
- 24:15Speaker 1: winning and Mamma Mia kept joking like, how are we
- 24:17Speaker 1: going to get them this year? And they made it
- 24:19Speaker 1: clear that they were all good friends and it was
- 24:21Speaker 1: all a bit of banter because apparently they actually have
- 24:23Speaker 1: a group chat going where they regularly catch up with
- 24:26Speaker 1: one another, but this has probably pissed them off. I
- 24:29Speaker 1: don't know so much if they would be pissed off
- 24:30Speaker 1: with Mamma Mia. I think that It'll be interesting to
- 24:33Speaker 1: see if the three women remain as close as they were.
- 24:37Speaker 1: It would be rather awkward. Yeah, because I wonder if
- 24:40Speaker 1: Keisha has signed a confidentiality agreement where she can't discuss
- 24:43Speaker 1: Mamma Mia's future plans with obviously her old friends at
- 24:47Speaker 1: the Rival podcast. I know Life Uncut recently signed with Listener,
- 24:51Speaker 1: so they take care of their sponsorship. But I wonder
- 24:53Speaker 1: if the next move from Mamma Mia is to get
- 24:56Speaker 1: life uncut under their umbrella. Well, I think Laura Byrne
- 24:58Speaker 1: did a couple of parenting podcasts through Mamma Mia, and
- 25:01Speaker 1: I know they both occasionally do some articles for them.
- 25:05Speaker 1: So who knows? Well, I guess we'll just have to
- 25:07Speaker 1: watch this space. Sky Wheatley has watered down rumours that
- 25:12Speaker 1: she's dating comedian Julian Woods after pap photos of the
- 25:16Speaker 1: pair on a dinner date at Fortitude Valley were published.
- 25:19Speaker 1: In a Q & A, a follower asked, is it
- 25:21Speaker 1: true you're dating already? Now, she replied on her Instagram
- 25:26Speaker 1: story with a picture of her son Bear at sushi
- 25:29Speaker 1: and wrote, only boys I'm going on dates with are
- 25:32Speaker 1: my little mans. What do you guys think about it? Look,
- 25:35Speaker 1: I'm personally not buying it. I think what's happened is
- 25:37Speaker 1: behind the scenes, Lockie may have gone off because we
- 25:42Speaker 1: actually posted a reel, which was a bit of a
- 25:45Speaker 1: cut up of the segment we did on it. And
- 25:47Speaker 1: Lockie War slid into our DMs and he wrote, pop
- 25:51Speaker 1: off queen. Now that message was swiftly deleted. He also
- 25:55Speaker 1: followed Outspoken's Instagram account. So I think he may have
- 26:00Speaker 1: his own side of the story to share. Well, if
- 26:02Speaker 1: he wants to share it on Outspoken, there's always the
- 26:04Speaker 1: platform for him as well. I want to add, he
- 26:07Speaker 1: did add a laughing face with the pop-off queen comment.
- 26:10Speaker 1: He also liked the reel and listeners started noticing and saying, oh,
- 26:14Speaker 1: my God, he likes this reel. He unliked it as well.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I reckon that comment that he sent to us wasn't
- 26:20Speaker 1: for us and someone had forwarded him our reel and
- 26:23Speaker 1: he thought he was responding to that person. No, because
- 26:26Speaker 1: he followed us. And he's messaged us before because what
- 26:29Speaker 1: was that, Sauna and Sausages or something? When he went rogue.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Was it last year he went a bit rogue and was,
- 26:36Speaker 1: doing some Instagram stories from the sauna, a few gins deep,
- 26:40Speaker 1: and it was very entertaining. We said he's the next
- 26:43Speaker 1: star of Instagram that we would like to see more
- 26:46Speaker 1: content from. We're big Lockie War fans. He is hilarious.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I really hope that if he and Sky do part permanently,
- 26:54Speaker 1: we still see him sharing some funny stuff. I actually
- 26:57Speaker 1: think that his comments to us spoke volumes because clearly
- 27:01Speaker 1: this date has ruffled his feathers. I get the feeling
- 27:03Speaker 1: he was blindsided by it and he thinks it's pretty
- 27:06Speaker 1: disrespectful considering they haven't officially announced their split online yet.
- 27:11Speaker 1: And that would be why Sky has done a Q & A. Obviously,
- 27:14Speaker 1: she knew she was going to be asked about it.
- 27:16Speaker 1: And she's being all defensive, like, oh, no, I'm not
- 27:18Speaker 1: going out on dates. It's just a friend. And, you know,
- 27:20Speaker 1: the paparazzi just took photos of me. Also, him saying
- 27:23Speaker 1: pop-off queen, it's like he doesn't give a shit. Like,
- 27:25Speaker 1: it's clearly over. And he's like, it's quite defensive. If
- 27:29Speaker 1: you don't give a shit, you're not contacting the page
- 27:31Speaker 1: to put it up there. You just move on. You
- 27:33Speaker 1: know what I mean? Yeah. There were a lot of
- 27:35Speaker 1: listeners who believed Sky's story, though, because under the reel,
- 27:38Speaker 1: they were saying, oh, they're just friends. So one girl wrote...
- 27:41Speaker 1: A girl's allowed to have friends, whilst another said she
- 27:43Speaker 1: gets along with males more than females. I'm guessing they're
- 27:46Speaker 1: just friends. I don't buy that they're just friends. I
- 27:49Speaker 1: actually don't think that this guy Julian is just catching
- 27:52Speaker 1: up with Sky as a friend. She might be. Well,
- 27:54Speaker 1: unless they're friends and she's using him to piss Lockie off.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Friends with benefits. Well, no, I don't mean friends with benefits.
- 28:01Speaker 1: I'm saying, you know, sometimes when you want to get
- 28:03Speaker 1: back at somebody and for her it would be great
- 28:05Speaker 1: to be seen with this celebrity comedian in quotation. Isn't
- 28:09Speaker 1: friends with benefits such an old term? I feel like
- 28:11Speaker 1: that was used a lot. Oh, no, fuck buddies. I
- 28:13Speaker 1: feel like that was used a lot. when we were
- 28:15Speaker 1: in our 20s. But now I think people just say fuckboy.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Like I don't think that there's– do people still use
- 28:20Speaker 1: friends with benefits? But a fuckboy is different. A fuckboy
- 28:23Speaker 1: is a guy that fucks around. Sorry for people that
- 28:25Speaker 1: were complaining about swearing. No, it's now a sneaky link,
- 28:28Speaker 1: isn't it? What? What's a sneaky link? It reminds me
- 28:30Speaker 1: of Chris Lilley's Sneaky Nuts. A sneaky link is slang
- 28:34Speaker 1: for a person– that you have a secret or like
- 28:37Speaker 1: a casual hookup with. So it's a bit like a
- 28:40Speaker 1: secret fuck buddy. Oh my God. I need to point
- 28:42Speaker 1: out that just reminded me last week when we were
- 28:45Speaker 1: talking about Bailey Smith, we read out a text message
- 28:47Speaker 1: from him and it had said something about our, you know,
- 28:50Speaker 1: I was flogged at training and then he said like
- 28:53Speaker 1: KMS and Soph and I are like, oh, I think
- 28:55Speaker 1: he means kilometers or something. Apparently that slang for kill myself,
- 28:58Speaker 1: it's like the new FML, like fuck my life. And
- 29:01Speaker 1: someone said, we actually had two listeners send it to us.
- 29:03Speaker 1: And I was like, oh my God, I feel like
- 29:05Speaker 1: a boomer. I didn't even know that. If you thought
- 29:07Speaker 1: that was a low, what about Sophie pronouncing Al Pacino,
- 29:10Speaker 1: Al Pacino, or was it you? No, that was Kat
- 29:12Speaker 1: who pronounced it wrong. I cringe. I wasn't involved in
- 29:15Speaker 1: the episode, but I edited it. And I think I
- 29:17Speaker 1: was so deliriously tired. I didn't even notice it while editing.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I didn't know who you were trying to reference, to
- 29:21Speaker 1: be honest. Look, this is going to sound like an
- 29:23Speaker 1: excuse because it is, but I think it's a valid one.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Sophie and I are operating with incredibly low iron. We're
- 29:30Speaker 1: both anemic. We've had blood tests recently. Sophie's ferritin for
- 29:33Speaker 1: those playing at home is in the negative. Yeah, I
- 29:35Speaker 1: want to cut. Is negative five. I want to cut
- 29:37Speaker 1: in there, Kat. You said I'm operating on low iron.
- 29:39Speaker 1: I'm actually operating on no iron. So it says that
- 29:43Speaker 1: I am completely depleted. And I think it's making a
- 29:47Speaker 1: lot of sense why I've had a fridge ciggy addiction
- 29:51Speaker 1: because I'm trying to just get any boost of energy. Anyway,
- 29:54Speaker 1: I will be going into that in more detail on
- 29:56Speaker 1: the mum's group. So Sophie's not dumb. She's just depleted
- 29:59Speaker 1: of iron. It's a wonder I'm actually operating as is.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I remember last time this happened to me, my doctor
- 30:04Speaker 1: was like, are you depressed? And I was like, I
- 30:07Speaker 1: don't think so. See, I'm so looking forward to it
- 30:09Speaker 1: because mine was very low, not as low as that.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Like I'm not in the negatives, but I think mine
- 30:13Speaker 1: was like three or five or something. I can't even remember.
- 30:17Speaker 1: And I'm like, wow, Sophie, we're going to be back.
- 30:19Speaker 1: I'm on top of the world, babe. Quoting Elle Darby there.
- 30:22Speaker 1: It might explain some of the clips that have come
- 30:25Speaker 1: out recently of us yelling at each other. They were
- 30:27Speaker 1: from three years ago, though. Yeah, we might not have
- 30:28Speaker 1: any of those bloopers anymore. We might have to ham
- 30:30Speaker 1: them up a bit. No, I think they'll still be happening.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Danny calls it a pagoda as well, so I don't know.
- 30:36Speaker 1: On this podcast and also in our everyday lives, we
- 30:39Speaker 1: love debating the pronunciation of different words. So this story
- 30:43Speaker 1: is right up our alley. Now, UK influencer Zoe Ray,
- 30:46Speaker 1: who is the sister of Molly May, side note, I
- 30:49Speaker 1: still can't get over that their names rhyme since she
- 30:52Speaker 1: got married. What are the odds really? Like this isn't
- 30:55Speaker 1: something that they've tried to play on either. Yeah, it's wild. Now,
- 30:59Speaker 1: Zoe has sparked debate over the pronunciation of the word pergola.
- 31:03Speaker 1: The popular YouTuber who's recently been vlogging about her backyard
- 31:07Speaker 1: renovations said this.
- 31:09Speaker 2: The men that are fitting the pergola. Is it a
- 31:13Speaker 2: pergola or a pergola? Because our gardeners say pergola, but
- 31:16Speaker 2: I've always called it a pergola. I'm sure it's a pergola.
- 31:20Speaker 2: When they said pergola, I was like, I actually don't
- 31:21Speaker 2: know what you're talking about.
- 31:23Speaker 3: A pergola?
- 31:24Speaker 1: What the fuck? Yeah. I've never ever heard that before. Like,
- 31:26Speaker 1: is this an Aussie versus British thing? Yeah, how can
- 31:29Speaker 1: you fuck it up so much when you actually put
- 31:31Speaker 1: pergolas up? Yeah, it's like they're professions. I actually thought
- 31:34Speaker 1: this was satire because I have never ever heard anyone
- 31:36Speaker 1: call it a pergola. I was like, what the fuck?
- 31:38Speaker 1: Is that meant to be like a posh way of
- 31:40Speaker 1: saying it or is pergola a posh way of saying it?
- 31:42Speaker 1: Definitely pergola would be the posher way. I literally ran
- 31:45Speaker 1: to the comment section of this YouTube because I was like,
- 31:48Speaker 1: surely people are going to be saying, you're right, Zoe.
- 31:52Speaker 1: What are these people talking about? But I was shocked
- 31:54Speaker 1: to hear that the majority of her viewers agreed with
- 31:58Speaker 1: the builders. So one person wrote, sorry to be the
- 32:01Speaker 1: one to say it, but the builders are indeed saying
- 32:03Speaker 1: it correctly. It's pergola. Whilst another said American here and
- 32:07Speaker 1: the way everyone else has said pergola in the comments
- 32:10Speaker 1: and the builders is the way I say it as well. Okay,
- 32:13Speaker 1: so it's an American thing. Well, I did some research, yeah,
- 32:15Speaker 1: and apparently it depends what side of the Atlantic you're on.
- 32:18Speaker 1: So the British pronounce it pergola whilst the Americans say pergola. Yeah.
- 32:22Speaker 1: But then why was it a British company with employees
- 32:25Speaker 1: that were from England pronouncing it like that? But also
- 32:27Speaker 1: like at the same time, it's not a common word
- 32:29Speaker 1: that pops up on American sitcoms. And you know, sometimes like,
- 32:32Speaker 1: for instance, I say schedule because that's the English way
- 32:35Speaker 1: of saying it. Whilst a lot of times it's mentioned
- 32:37Speaker 1: on American shows as schedule. That's why a lot of
- 32:40Speaker 1: Australians say it like that. But pergola, I've never heard
- 32:43Speaker 1: that mentioned on a TV show. It's like on the
- 32:45Speaker 1: recent episode of MasterChef that Meghan Markle was on. She
- 32:48Speaker 1: was like, do you say herbs or herbs? And I
- 32:52Speaker 1: was like, oh, just the pronunciation of herbs. Oh, that, yeah,
- 32:55Speaker 1: that grates on me. I was actually thinking more of
- 32:58Speaker 1: that Simpson episode where they're like, oh, it's in the garage. Oh,
- 33:01Speaker 1: a garage. What do you call yours? He's like, a
- 33:03Speaker 1: car hole. Well, that is where we are going to
- 33:06Speaker 1: leave things today. If you did enjoy the show and
- 33:09Speaker 1: want to hear more from us, we drop a subscriber-only
- 33:11Speaker 1: episode every Thursday for Outspoken Plus subscribers. This week, Amy
- 33:16Speaker 1: and I had a debate about how many gifted stays
- 33:18Speaker 1: is too many off the back of Steph Clare Smith
- 33:21Speaker 1: having four free holidays within the space of a month.
- 33:24Speaker 1: You sound salty, Kate.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I was.
- 33:26Speaker 1: I put it out there. I said, the elephant in
- 33:28Speaker 1: the room is, I wish it was me. She addressed
- 33:30Speaker 1: that she's jealous of it.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Yes, I put it out there. I think everyone is.
- 33:34Speaker 1: And we also discussed why I'm disappointed in the block
- 33:37Speaker 1: this year. Oh, I'm spewing. I'm spewing. I was getting
- 33:40Speaker 1: so amped to watch that. I'll have to tune in
- 33:42Speaker 1: because I actually wasn't part of that episode. So I
- 33:44Speaker 1: will enjoy listening to that. That is all we have
- 33:47Speaker 1: time for today. This episode was recorded on the traditional
- 33:50Speaker 1: land of the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains. We
- 33:52Speaker 1: pay respect to elders past and present.
