- 0:02Speaker 1: Here we go. I would bringing out the lineup card
- 0:07Speaker 1: make you feel better about things.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I don't even know what you're talking about. Okay, I
- 0:11Speaker 2: mean I do know what you're talking about, but I
- 0:13Speaker 2: don't know what you're talking about, which is no, but
- 0:18Speaker 2: no the answer that question. No, Wait, do you hear
- 0:25Speaker 2: all that?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Do you look fantastic?
- 0:27Speaker 3: Oh?
- 0:27Speaker 1: You're back, You're back.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Okay, God, that was scary. But it's not a Jim
- 0:32Speaker 2: Joyce Gala Raga situation. So no, I don't think this
- 0:36Speaker 2: situation applies that you're going to explain.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I was just gonna say Sazar's Alas Salazar brought out
- 0:42Speaker 1: the lineup card for the Yankees Astros game.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Maybe he was a big Maybe he's a big Aaron
- 0:47Speaker 2: Boone fan. I brought up the lineup card one time
- 0:49Speaker 2: in Hia because the manager of the High A team
- 0:52Speaker 2: was Mike Schmidt, who was one of my favorite players
- 0:54Speaker 2: of all time.
- 0:56Speaker 1: That's cool. Yeah, I doubt that's why. Maybe he's said, hey,
- 1:00Speaker 1: I want to talk to Boonie before he gets thrown
- 1:03Speaker 1: out for the billions of time. So anyway, we'll get
- 1:06Speaker 1: more into the astro side of things with Chandler Roam.
- 1:09Speaker 1: We have a Chandler roam day.
- 1:11Speaker 3: There's a lot of splaining to do.
- 1:14Speaker 1: There is, but let's start with the other side of
- 1:17Speaker 1: the equation. You had a night where it was a
- 1:20Speaker 1: light night for late action, so many eyes were on
- 1:23Speaker 1: the Yankees and Astros, and many eyes were on the umpire.
- 1:34Speaker 1: That was actually so fitting. That was the most fitting
- 1:37Speaker 1: UMP Show intro. We've ever had.
- 1:40Speaker 3: The worst game of all time.
- 1:41Speaker 1: He wasn't that bad, No, I understand, but it was
- 1:43Speaker 1: funny that Krawts was talking an ump Show played over him,
- 1:47Speaker 1: which is the essence of UMP Show. It's not about you,
- 1:51Speaker 1: it's about UMP Show. Wait, so he wasn't bad when
- 1:58Speaker 1: you compare him to everyone. Great, it's a game, but
- 2:00Speaker 1: it was heavily tilted. The umscorecard came out like an
- 2:04Speaker 1: hour ago, and it was heavily tilted towards the Astro side. Whatever,
- 2:10Speaker 1: we deal with this all the time. We're a month
- 2:12Speaker 1: away from this not being much of a problem because
- 2:15Speaker 1: the bad calls can get overturned. But his overall favor
- 2:21Speaker 1: was plus one point four for Houston. That's a big number, huge, huge,
- 2:27Speaker 1: Like look at look at the umscorecards, Like look at
- 2:29Speaker 1: the last ten on the Twitter sheet. Okay, and you'll
- 2:33Speaker 1: see the overall favor point two three point oh six
- 2:39Speaker 1: point two, four point one fourm just scrolling through everyone
- 2:42Speaker 1: else from the night point two to one point one three.
- 2:46Speaker 1: One point four is a massive number where he was
- 2:51Speaker 1: heavily tilting his calls towards Houston.
- 2:54Speaker 3: It's just what don't even listen. Yeah, I know where
- 2:56Speaker 3: you are going with this. Don't even go don't because
- 2:58Speaker 3: you're gonna say, oh, you know, he was totally against
- 3:01Speaker 3: the Yankees. No, no, but I was gonna say that
- 3:05Speaker 3: you kind of are saying at one point four is
- 3:08Speaker 3: a huge number.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I'm telling you why the Yankees were pissed off, including
- 3:11Speaker 1: the last strike of the game where it wasn't a strike.
- 3:15Speaker 1: So you're gonna have pissed off people.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Okay, but don't don't. Don't say certain you know there's
- 3:22Speaker 2: people online saying things and stuff like that's dumb.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Like we say what they say. We're a show that
- 3:26Speaker 1: says whatever.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Yeah they're saying.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Just stop, okay, stop and don't say things like that.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Because I've been around umpire. Every person that plays is
- 3:36Speaker 2: a fan of something or umps or or does whatever.
- 3:39Speaker 2: They are a fan of something, and I mean, I
- 3:41Speaker 2: was a fan of certain teams, and it wasn't like
- 3:42Speaker 2: I said, oh man, I'm playing a certain team, I'm gonna.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Strike out today. I talked to umpires all the.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Time, and they grew up in certain areas, and to
- 3:50Speaker 2: be honest with you, the ones I knew that were
- 3:53Speaker 2: from certain places actually went the other way and went
- 3:56Speaker 2: against the team of the places they were from, over compensating, yes,
- 4:00Speaker 2: trying to show they would say that, oh there would
- 4:02Speaker 2: be I remember when I was with the Twins, there
- 4:04Speaker 2: was a couple umpires from Minnesota and we and we
- 4:07Speaker 2: thought we were like, man, we're get screwed.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Why he's from Minnesota and he doesn't want to show
- 4:10Speaker 3: any bias. So they would actually go the other way
- 4:13Speaker 3: a lot.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I don't like that either, but trust me, I understand.
- 4:16Speaker 3: But it makes more sense than this.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Sure.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I mean, this guy's not trying to screw the trying
- 4:21Speaker 2: to screw the Yankees out of a game because oh
- 4:23Speaker 2: go Red Sox, Like, come on, no, we can put
- 4:27Speaker 2: that to rest. We shouldn't even waste this much time
- 4:29Speaker 2: on it because umpires, he didn't just Brian Walsh just
- 4:32Speaker 2: didn't become an umpire like a week ago. He's been
- 4:35Speaker 2: doing this for years, probably over ten years in the
- 4:38Speaker 2: minor leagues. All your fandom just gets washed out of
- 4:42Speaker 2: the way. He's there to do his job, and it
- 4:46Speaker 2: leaned towards the Astros. This is a value, all this
- 4:49Speaker 2: receiving and everything. This is a value that a lot
- 4:53Speaker 2: of teams put a huge number on, and the Yankees
- 4:57Speaker 2: are probably the top. That's probably why I got signed
- 5:01Speaker 2: four different times by the Yankees and traded for because
- 5:05Speaker 2: receiving is such a high high value. And you see
- 5:09Speaker 2: why ends up being a one run game. And you
- 5:12Speaker 2: can point to a couple pitches that maybe the Yankee
- 5:16Speaker 2: should have gotten while Wells was back there and didn't,
- 5:19Speaker 2: and a couple pitches that the Astros got that kind
- 5:24Speaker 2: of screwed the Yankees over when they were hitting it.
- 5:26Speaker 2: It's a lot for one team, and this is why
- 5:31Speaker 2: the receiving value is super high, because it can swing
- 5:35Speaker 2: a game like this.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Let's all admit that it was lopsided. It doesn't matter
- 5:40Speaker 1: what his intent was. There were twenty one misscalls in
- 5:43Speaker 1: the game. Fifteen win against the Yankees. That's all I
- 5:45Speaker 1: was saying. Now here's my next question from a psychology component.
- 5:49Speaker 1: When Devin Williams is barking at the ump and we
- 5:53Speaker 1: can get into the Yankees bullpen in a moment that's
- 5:55Speaker 1: an issue of its own. And then Aaron Boone comes
- 5:58Speaker 1: out and he's basically the guy in Major League Baseball
- 6:01Speaker 1: these days they gets tossed the most and really brings
- 6:03Speaker 1: it to the umps. He's saying, you suck, you're tire able,
- 6:06Speaker 1: out your job, blah blah blah. Do you think that
- 6:08Speaker 1: affects the umpire at all for the rest of the game?
- 6:11Speaker 1: Do you think? I know? But do you think that
- 6:14Speaker 1: it affects them? So I don't.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I don't care about on an umpire. Eventually they get
- 6:18Speaker 2: tired of them and they're like, well, yeah, I'll screw you.
- 6:20Speaker 1: So then is it like final pitch of the game,
- 6:23Speaker 1: Get out of my face.
- 6:25Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Okay, I'm just asking No.
- 6:27Speaker 3: That's usually when they bear down more.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Yes, he guys a really big he got the call wrong.
- 6:37Speaker 2: It happens that is that is a really good slider
- 6:40Speaker 2: that if you watch how I think it was er
- 6:44Speaker 2: it wasn't. Victor catches it. He does a great job
- 6:47Speaker 2: that pitches coming It was coming from it was back
- 6:50Speaker 2: door two Jazz a left handed hitter, and the catcher
- 6:54Speaker 2: went with it and caught it. Like, maybe give him
- 6:56Speaker 2: some credit too, because that's that's big time manipulation, and
- 7:01Speaker 2: you know he got it. He got maybe he sees
- 7:04Speaker 2: that pitch is such a close pitch that's considered a
- 7:06Speaker 2: fifty to fifty pitch, and it went the astro's way.
- 7:11Speaker 2: It's not no Now if Jazz had said something in
- 7:14Speaker 2: the bat, I know umpires hold grudges in that way, like,
- 7:18Speaker 2: oh man, you know the one two pitch, I mean
- 7:21Speaker 2: the one one pitch it's called a strike and it
- 7:24Speaker 2: was a ball and he's like, oh that's you Are
- 7:26Speaker 2: you serious, Like there's no way you can call that.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah that maybe umpires will well, we'll lean a certain
- 7:33Speaker 2: way and kind of get the hitter. But now boone
- 7:36Speaker 2: was gone long before that.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Ft FAM designer clothes can be expensive, but we want
- 7:44Speaker 1: our clothes to look good, we want to feel good.
- 7:45Speaker 1: We want them to be affordable and krats. If you
- 7:48Speaker 1: tell me that I can wear a T shirt that
- 7:50Speaker 1: looks like it's tailored but it's not actually tailored and
- 7:53Speaker 1: it just comes that way, then sign me up for
- 7:55Speaker 1: True Classic.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Have to you gotta sign up for it because these
- 7:59Speaker 2: shirts are soft, they're thin, they're durable, and they're very versatile.
- 8:05Speaker 2: You can wear them to the gym, you can wear
- 8:07Speaker 2: them out to a nice dinner. Let's get after it
- 8:10Speaker 2: because these shirts are the real deal.
- 8:12Speaker 1: They are.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Check it out.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I've got one of the Performance ones. It's a nice
- 8:15Speaker 1: blue fits well. I can go to the gym, I
- 8:19Speaker 1: can go out, I can do FT in a shirt
- 8:21Speaker 1: like this. Ft fam. There's a reason why True Classic
- 8:25Speaker 1: has sold over twenty five million shirts to more than
- 8:27Speaker 1: five million customers, and they are racking up over two
- 8:30Speaker 1: hundred thousand and five star reviews. See for yourself with
- 8:33Speaker 1: our exclusive link at true classic dot com slash foul
- 8:36Speaker 1: to say that's True Classic dot com slash foul. Let's
- 8:40Speaker 1: bring in this Brendan Kudy tweet that pitch.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Wasn't that bad, like if even if you look on MLB,
- 8:46Speaker 2: I mean it's it's I mean, what a millimeter from
- 8:50Speaker 2: hitting the fifty to fifty ball. And also let's not
- 8:53Speaker 2: forget that little box that we keep showing on the
- 8:55Speaker 2: thing isn't one hundred percent act understood. Let's also understand
- 8:59Speaker 2: that so that pitch is a perfect pitch, and if
- 9:01Speaker 2: he calls it a ball, the astras are probably like, man,
- 9:04Speaker 2: that's strike.
- 9:05Speaker 1: It wasn't a strike. Though you think it was a strike.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I'm looking at that what you call?
- 9:11Speaker 1: I mean you think it's that close.
- 9:12Speaker 3: It's that close. It literally is that close. It's not
- 9:15Speaker 3: like Diaz was like, oh over.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Yes it was an angel Hernandez calling Wyatt Langford, But
- 9:21Speaker 1: it was a ball.
- 9:22Speaker 2: No, dude, that's a pitch that if you're hitting, you're like,
- 9:25Speaker 2: crap man, that was a really good pitch. And of
- 9:27Speaker 2: course Jazz is going to be mad at the last
- 9:29Speaker 2: out of the game, game that they need to win. No, here,
- 9:34Speaker 2: here's here's the argument. Then, I think I know where
- 9:36Speaker 2: aj Lean's on this argument because I watched him play
- 9:40Speaker 2: and I look at his numbers. If it's close, you
- 9:44Speaker 2: gotta protect. The other side of that argument is, dudes
- 9:48Speaker 2: are throwing ninety nine miles an hour, and I have
- 9:50Speaker 2: to protect an extra two inches off the plate makes
- 9:55Speaker 2: it really tough. So that's it. That's the two sides
- 9:57Speaker 2: of the argument. In my opinion, I can't go down
- 10:01Speaker 2: looking there. But I also didn't have half the walks
- 10:04Speaker 2: that Jazz Chishom has or the entire Yankees lineup is
- 10:09Speaker 2: just averse to swinging out of the strike zone. So
- 10:13Speaker 2: they're going to take all the borderline pitches and when
- 10:15Speaker 2: doesn't go their way, that's part. Yeah, but that ball
- 10:20Speaker 2: is not two inches off the plate. That balls like
- 10:22Speaker 2: half an inch off the plate. Look at the MLB thing,
- 10:24Speaker 2: Look at the even where it is on the dotch
- 10:26Speaker 2: that ball is that far.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Off the plate. But I'm saying, then the ball is
- 10:30Speaker 3: in the little box. Outside the box is the allowable zone, right.
- 10:35Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. The ball is two inches. So
- 10:38Speaker 2: the if the plate is seventeen inches and there's a
- 10:41Speaker 2: ball on both sides that you have to protect, that's
- 10:44Speaker 2: an extra two inches on the outside two inches on
- 10:46Speaker 2: the inside. This is where this is where the ABS
- 10:49Speaker 2: challenge system is going to be exciting, and people are
- 10:51Speaker 2: going to argue with the fact that a pitch that
- 10:54Speaker 2: almost touches the touches the strike zone and a pitch
- 10:57Speaker 2: that does touch the strike zone, Oh, we should just
- 11:00Speaker 2: throw those out. Like it's gonna be an exciting conversation
- 11:03Speaker 2: we're gonna have all year next year.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I want to get to this other part. So Devin
- 11:09Speaker 1: Williams had a bad day. I would be highly concerned
- 11:13Speaker 1: about trusting him in the playoffs, but he wasn't the
- 11:15Speaker 1: only one. This was a one run win for Houston
- 11:19Speaker 1: because of the laid home run by Cody Bellinger right
- 11:23Speaker 1: off of a bray you off of a brave You. Okay,
- 11:25Speaker 1: but wait, Dovall came in and had some issues back
- 11:30Speaker 1: Wild Pitch. Here's the tweet from Brendan Coody about the
- 11:34Speaker 1: issue that they were having with the PitchCom and the
- 11:36Speaker 1: Yankees broadcast with Michael ka was very critical of how
- 11:39Speaker 1: he said there's always issues with PitchCom. This is what
- 11:44Speaker 1: Austin Wells, Yankees catcher said about the Doball bach with Camillo.
- 11:49Speaker 1: He doesn't really speak great English. We only have one
- 11:52Speaker 1: PitchCom that really works with just Spanish. The umpire seemed
- 11:55Speaker 1: to not he didn't really care or what the deal was,
- 11:58Speaker 1: but said he gave us a chance to fix at
- 12:00Speaker 1: the first time that we went out there and then
- 12:01Speaker 1: decided that it was a disengagement and we were trying
- 12:03Speaker 1: to explain to him to our case. He said that
- 12:05Speaker 1: we were lucky that we didn't get a violation and
- 12:08Speaker 1: that it was just a bok. So a lot of
- 12:10Speaker 1: people are like ump show. I'm like tech show one
- 12:14Speaker 1: one option, there's they don't have a backup.
- 12:17Speaker 2: I don't speak Spanish. I don't speak a lot of languages.
- 12:20Speaker 2: I mean I speak enough Spanish and baseball to give
- 12:22Speaker 2: by Camilla devall should be understand fastball slider change up.
- 12:28Speaker 1: I mean, come on, but wait, hold up, even if
- 12:30Speaker 1: he doesn't, why do we only have one in Spanish?
- 12:33Speaker 1: Get another one? You can't have more than one billion,
- 12:35Speaker 1: fifteen billion dollars.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Sports doesn't understand fastball?
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yeah, but okay, do you think that's a bigger problem?
- 12:42Speaker 1: Or when you chit chat with the team that's worth
- 12:44Speaker 1: eight billion dollars, Hey, maybe we should have a few
- 12:47Speaker 1: more of these.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Yeah, that's also the problem.
- 12:50Speaker 1: H duh, what there's one? When I saw that, I
- 12:54Speaker 1: was like one crats one. That's like, oh the battery
- 12:59Speaker 1: died and we don't have any left.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Oh well, there's so many there's so many things unpacked
- 13:07Speaker 2: with this. We got people like we got satellites orbiting
- 13:11Speaker 2: the Earth and we can't get PitchCom to like work,
- 13:14Speaker 2: Like what what I can't I can't hear anything? And
- 13:18Speaker 2: then I mean just the night before, it must be
- 13:20Speaker 2: a Houston thing. Houston, we have a problem because Framberg
- 13:23Speaker 2: his couldn't He was like what sinker? Salzar was like, no, no, no.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Curveball ker Okay, sinker perfect right down the middle.
- 13:31Speaker 2: But like it's a it's when you want to win
- 13:36Speaker 2: a championship. There are countless people that want to dot
- 13:41Speaker 2: their eyes and cross their teeth. So a team wins
- 13:43Speaker 2: a championship. That's what you have to do from every
- 13:47Speaker 2: level of it. If you if this is true, you
- 13:50Speaker 2: have one PitchCom that speaks Spanish, you need to have
- 13:56Speaker 2: more than that. That's sorry, I can't I can't get
- 13:59Speaker 2: on board with that. So we need to dig deeper
- 14:01Speaker 2: into this.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that's all I'm just saying. You can be critical
- 14:04Speaker 1: of the ump, you can be critical of the player
- 14:06Speaker 1: if not knowing the pitch in English, But really, what
- 14:10Speaker 1: are we doing with the PitchCom? What are we doing? What?
- 14:15Speaker 2: You should have.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Twenty of those? When I saw that?
- 14:19Speaker 2: Yeah, what about that?
- 14:20Speaker 1: I'm hoping that that's fixed right away.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Fix a Yankees bullpen.
- 14:26Speaker 1: That's another issue. Uh, I'll give you the stat on
- 14:29Speaker 1: the way out here. So they have twelve losses when
- 14:32Speaker 1: leading by two runs, or more in the sixth inning
- 14:33Speaker 1: or later, second worst to the Diamondbacks. I could also
- 14:37Speaker 1: make a case from Carlo Stanton maybe should be replaced
- 14:39Speaker 1: for defense for sinning six or whatever.
- 14:43Speaker 2: That's losing the play is not that they were winning.
- 14:47Speaker 1: They were winning by three? Was it for to one?
- 14:51Speaker 1: And then they started doing the strategy of hit to
- 14:53Speaker 1: Stanton and win a prize? I know, but come on,
- 14:58Speaker 1: he should not be playing anyway.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Left field in Houston. Left field in Houston, you're covering
- 15:03Speaker 2: basically anything that Volpi can't get, playing.
- 15:07Speaker 1: With fire, playing with fire. The Mets are rich with
- 15:12Speaker 1: pitching prospects. Here comes another one. We just got the
- 15:15Speaker 1: news as the show started. Welcome Brandon Sprote to the
- 15:20Speaker 1: show to make his MLB debut and a start on
- 15:22Speaker 1: Sunday afternoon against the Reds.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Is that a real mustache?
- 15:26Speaker 1: Noother good pitching prospect?
- 15:27Speaker 3: It is good mustache out with this guy before, so
- 15:30Speaker 3: he's good him.
- 15:32Speaker 1: What do you got on him?
- 15:33Speaker 3: Florida, Georgia? He came and hung out tailgate.
- 15:36Speaker 1: What do you got though?
- 15:36Speaker 2: Like? What was he like?
- 15:38Speaker 1: Did you feel like will die for you on the mound?
- 15:41Speaker 3: I don't know about that. I mean it's kind of
- 15:43Speaker 3: hard when you're maybe drinking to really get a full
- 15:46Speaker 3: sense of somebody.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Sometimes you get the real.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Nice kid. Yeah, I mean he was a nice kid.
- 15:51Speaker 3: He's got good stuff, Yeah, great stuff. Just hurt a
- 15:55Speaker 3: little bit though.
- 15:56Speaker 2: That was the thing.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Even at one point going to his junior year, I
- 15:59Speaker 3: think he was talked about being the possible, like number
- 16:01Speaker 3: one pick. It's broke, and then he didn't have a
- 16:04Speaker 3: great junior year and I think he got hurt.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Well, now it's looking like the Mets had a better
- 16:12Speaker 1: Minor league rotation than major rotation. Why for the top three?
- 16:17Speaker 1: Top three? Do you want tong Sprote and McLean or
- 16:22Speaker 1: anyone else on the mat? I know, but man, he's
- 16:26Speaker 1: got a lot of pressure crats. The other two have
- 16:28Speaker 1: looked fire in there. What five combined starts?
- 16:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Maybe the pitching
- 16:35Speaker 2: development is working and that's why they never pay for pitching.
- 16:41Speaker 1: It's your boy, Stearns. The Brewers do it too, and.
- 16:45Speaker 2: They continue to do They've done it for about six
- 16:47Speaker 2: or seven years now. It's a good model. It's a
- 16:50Speaker 2: good model. It's just tough to do in New York.
- 16:52Speaker 2: When you sign a Frankie Mom toss and that doesn't
- 16:54Speaker 2: work out. And Sean and I are coming back on
- 16:57Speaker 2: three years seventy five. That's not working out so far.
- 17:00Speaker 2: It's it's a volatile way of trying to go through
- 17:03Speaker 2: a season. I mean, I think it just comes with
- 17:07Speaker 2: the territory, you know. I mean, baseball has.
- 17:12Speaker 4: A lot of wear and tear on the body, and
- 17:14Speaker 4: you play it for a long time as long as
- 17:15Speaker 4: I have, and you know there's gonna be injuries and
- 17:18Speaker 4: setbacks and stuff like that.
- 17:20Speaker 2: It's just, I mean, it's tough.
- 17:22Speaker 4: I mean, I think I think I knew I was
- 17:25Speaker 4: kind of pushing it, you know, from you know, earlier
- 17:29Speaker 4: this year when I was first diagnosed with talking to
- 17:32Speaker 4: when I was with the d Backs with kind of
- 17:35Speaker 4: surgery as an option then and then I was feeling good,
- 17:39Speaker 4: kind of just kept pushing it and you know, just
- 17:42Speaker 4: didn't It doesn't seem like get held up.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Who would that have been, Tommy John, I think it would.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Have been going there, embrace it and then fixed the
- 17:50Speaker 4: flexor and stuff. So it's kind of yeah, going along
- 17:53Speaker 4: that route for sure.
- 17:57Speaker 1: It's a long time big league or former teammate of
- 17:59Speaker 1: Beers Shelby Miller who felt the elbow pop. And then
- 18:02Speaker 1: when you get to a certain age, you're like, do
- 18:04Speaker 1: I want to go through all of this?
- 18:06Speaker 2: Just got his ten years, so that's that's a nice
- 18:08Speaker 2: bonus for him. Yeah, but man, he's already been through
- 18:12Speaker 2: a lot. I remember when he had Tommy John the
- 18:13Speaker 2: first time. People forget Shelby was really good when he
- 18:16Speaker 2: first came up start and then he got traded. He
- 18:18Speaker 2: was and then he got traded to the UH Diamondbacks
- 18:21Speaker 2: for n CRTA Dansby Swanson.
- 18:23Speaker 3: I think there was another one in there.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I can't believe they traded Danceby Swanson. Yeah, before even
- 18:28Speaker 1: seeing him at the Pigs. You just you're one one
- 18:31Speaker 1: gets dealt.
- 18:31Speaker 3: That was That's how Shelby was though. That's driving back
- 18:34Speaker 3: to Shelby. Shelby was really good, really good. Yeah, this
- 18:37Speaker 3: sucks for Shelby man. And I was just had Shelby.
- 18:39Speaker 3: He was getting ready to come on.
- 18:40Speaker 1: The show, and then we can still get him on
- 18:42Speaker 1: at some point.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I can still ask him. It's just weird when guys
- 18:45Speaker 2: are hurt. You know, I'm in Milwaukee next weekend, s
- 18:47Speaker 2: all ask him when I see him.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Grayson Rodriguez comes on and hey, you know, it's been
- 18:51Speaker 1: a tough run for him, but I give him a
- 18:53Speaker 1: ton of credit. People really love to hear the guys
- 18:56Speaker 1: when they're going through things. You know, it's easy to
- 18:59Speaker 1: come on the show when everything's great. Not easy to
- 19:04Speaker 1: come on the show when Kratz you're Kevin Plar and
- 19:07Speaker 1: you get dfaight and then you show up the next day.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I think that's kind of the difference maker. When you
- 19:10Speaker 1: see some guys show up like that, it's we're the shot.
- 19:13Speaker 1: I'll ask where's that?
- 19:14Speaker 3: Fellow?
- 19:15Speaker 2: And I have a long history to the other. So yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 2: to come back from an injury, you have to be
- 19:21Speaker 2: all in. And if there's a thought like do I
- 19:23Speaker 2: really want to do this, he has time before surgery
- 19:27Speaker 2: to make that decision. But you're committing. He's committing to
- 19:31Speaker 2: not playing next year, and he's really honest about it,
- 19:34Speaker 2: and I'm sure that is that is tough to do.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Do I want to put an entire year in of
- 19:39Speaker 2: rehab because if you're not fully committed, I don't care
- 19:42Speaker 2: what age it is, it's tough.
- 19:46Speaker 1: We're throwing a curveball at you this week for our
- 19:48Speaker 1: Arena Club segment as AJ has opened up a Pokemon
- 19:52Speaker 1: slap pack.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Did you say it?
- 19:54Speaker 1: Pokemon?
- 19:54Speaker 3: Flat man?
- 19:55Speaker 1: Pokemon? Don't ask me to say what that card is,
- 19:58Speaker 1: but we're doing with that card. I already sold it,
- 20:01Speaker 1: hitting back Baby.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I bought it, and then I got more money than
- 20:04Speaker 2: I paid for the pack, so I sold us straight back.
- 20:06Speaker 1: You bought it for two, you sold it for and
- 20:12Speaker 1: you can go get yourself something that you maybe know
- 20:14Speaker 1: how to pronounce.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Yes, I know what it is. I said it because
- 20:18Speaker 2: I saw certain people open in Pokemon and they're making money,
- 20:21Speaker 2: and guess what I got.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Lucky made money off of it.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Too, exactly. But of course, if you're into sports cards,
- 20:27Speaker 1: that is something that you can find a ton of
- 20:30Speaker 1: on the arena club marketplace. By sell slab pack, trade
- 20:34Speaker 1: twenty percent off your first slab pack or card purchase
- 20:38Speaker 1: can be had at arenaclub dot com. Slash foul and
- 20:41Speaker 1: use the code foul. That's arenaclub dot com. Slash foul
- 20:44Speaker 1: and use code foul. Did you see these quotes from
- 20:50Speaker 1: Cardinals hitting coach Bran Brown and their manager Ali Marmol,
- 20:54Speaker 1: who I give credit to. He is a straight shooter
- 20:58Speaker 1: and I know a lot of you players always look
- 20:59Speaker 1: for that. So Jordan Walker's twenty three years old, over
- 21:03Speaker 1: one thousand played appearances in the BIGS. He first got
- 21:05Speaker 1: called up at age twenty. They sped him through the
- 21:08Speaker 1: minor leagues. They yeah Rake, then they sent him down
- 21:12Speaker 1: very quickly. They also asked him to play a different
- 21:14Speaker 1: position once he came up to the show. There's been
- 21:16Speaker 1: a lot, right, but let's refocus here. So the quotes
- 21:20Speaker 1: from Ali Marmol, I need to see Jordan have a
- 21:24Speaker 1: sense of urgency for the things that need to take
- 21:26Speaker 1: place in order to give him consistent results. That goes
- 21:28Speaker 1: with his move toward the ball, his preparation in the cage,
- 21:31Speaker 1: but also his approach in a game. You have to
- 21:33Speaker 1: start to see progress. I think it's important as you're
- 21:36Speaker 1: evaluating the next month, you need to start to see
- 21:38Speaker 1: progress and consistency. Brent Brown said on his daily structure level.
- 21:43Speaker 1: At some point in time, he's going to have to
- 21:44Speaker 1: devote more focus on preparation. We've had long conversations on this.
- 21:49Speaker 1: When Jordan Walker is ready to be good, we all
- 21:51Speaker 1: know the potential. I don't even think he knows the ceiling.
- 21:54Speaker 1: And then I will give you Jordan Walker not in
- 21:56Speaker 1: reply to these specific comments, but kind of the most
- 21:59Speaker 1: recent comments. Not a super open guy with the media,
- 22:02Speaker 1: but Katie Wu got some quotes in The Athletic. Jordan said, sometimes,
- 22:07Speaker 1: but not consciously, I'll get in the box and think
- 22:09Speaker 1: this is what's comfortable right now, and it might be
- 22:11Speaker 1: something that I get used to. Looking at the tape,
- 22:13Speaker 1: I'm standing wide and getting more into my legs and
- 22:15Speaker 1: I'm stepping towards the plate. Even when I'm going bad,
- 22:16Speaker 1: I'm doing that. It doesn't feel like my old swing
- 22:18Speaker 1: at all. Going back is I guess what's comfortable? When
- 22:20Speaker 1: I look at the tape, it doesn't look like the
- 22:22Speaker 1: old swings. Now I'm trying to keep towards the approach.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm confused just listening to that.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Well, that's a lot happened, bro.
- 22:27Speaker 1: We need to simplify things. And also your coaches say
- 22:29Speaker 1: you need to work harder.
- 22:31Speaker 2: That's pretty much what they're saying that They're saying he
- 22:33Speaker 2: doesn't study and he doesn't work hard, which is not
- 22:35Speaker 2: what you really wanted to hear, because that's something that
- 22:39Speaker 2: you can control, control your effort. I'm not saying he
- 22:42Speaker 2: doesn't try and he doesn't maybe he thinks he's working hard,
- 22:44Speaker 2: but they want to see more. I don't know, but
- 22:46Speaker 2: a swing change in the middle of the year is
- 22:48Speaker 2: really hard.
- 22:49Speaker 1: He does it all the time.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Well that's because they're always trying something different.
- 22:53Speaker 1: But he doesn't have to listen Kratz. I mean, Royce
- 22:56Speaker 1: Lewis gets asked to do things. He'll do some stuff,
- 22:58Speaker 1: but like he mentioned, I'm not gonna to change everything
- 23:01Speaker 1: because you could totally fall off the map.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Or he came up and hit two eighty and got
- 23:06Speaker 2: sent down and they're like, hey, you need to elevate
- 23:09Speaker 2: the ball more. Okay, I'll try to do that. It
- 23:12Speaker 2: didn't work. At what point do you say, I want
- 23:15Speaker 2: to do my thing. I think it's hard to hear
- 23:20Speaker 2: a first round pick being basically called out by the
- 23:24Speaker 2: hitting coach and the manager. Hey, we need him to
- 23:27Speaker 2: work a little bit more. We just saw this yesterday
- 23:29Speaker 2: when we were talking about TODs Bradley about how he
- 23:32Speaker 2: didn't do scatter reports. It's not for everybody, Like all
- 23:36Speaker 2: everything that everybody does is not for everybody. But when
- 23:39Speaker 2: you're not going well, they're going to point to those
- 23:41Speaker 2: things that you see. The majority of big league hitters
- 23:45Speaker 2: successful big league hitters doing so if it's hey, you know,
- 23:49Speaker 2: what does more work mean or what does more focus
- 23:51Speaker 2: look like? That's the conversation he has to have if
- 23:55Speaker 2: he wants to stay a big leaguer because prospect status
- 23:59Speaker 2: starts running out.
- 24:02Speaker 3: True, true, but what are you gonna what are you
- 24:05Speaker 3: gonna do?
- 24:06Speaker 1: They brought this public.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Here's the thing though, Like if you if you ask
- 24:09Speaker 3: the cardinal people, you know when you say, oh, he
- 24:11Speaker 3: was hitting two eighty, but yeah, he was hitting too
- 24:14Speaker 3: eighty but with no power in a lot of ground
- 24:16Speaker 3: balls that we're getting through.
- 24:17Speaker 2: So do you what do you want? Do you want
- 24:19Speaker 2: a guy that can maybe hit you three hundred with
- 24:21Speaker 2: fifteen or do you want a guy to hit you too?
- 24:23Speaker 2: In today's world, two twenty with thirty is way more
- 24:26Speaker 2: valuable than to ninety with fifteen.
- 24:29Speaker 1: But maybe his game is more to ninety with fifteen,
- 24:34Speaker 1: And I agree that.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Yeah, But they're trying to make him into the play
- 24:39Speaker 2: He's a mond thing they'll say about the games any
- 24:40Speaker 2: Crouch you you you know this. They try to make
- 24:43Speaker 2: everybody into the same player. Everybody's not the same player.
- 24:46Speaker 2: That's why Luisa Rii stands out so much for what
- 24:49Speaker 2: he does. Everybody.
- 24:50Speaker 3: They want everybody to strike out two hundred times and
- 24:52Speaker 3: hit forty homers.
- 24:53Speaker 1: And when you look at Jordan Walker, what do you say.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Well, you see him and you're like, dang, this dude
- 24:58Speaker 3: is gigantic. You should beat that guy. But at the
- 25:00Speaker 3: same time, if he can hit two ninety, get fifteen
- 25:02Speaker 3: to twenty five every year, driving eighty to one hundred,
- 25:05Speaker 3: that's a pretty good Major League baseball player.
- 25:08Speaker 2: But they didn't talk about They didn't in this conversation.
- 25:12Speaker 2: They didn't say, hey, we need him to elevate the
- 25:13Speaker 2: ball more, Hey we need him to chase less. They said,
- 25:17Speaker 2: we need to see you focus more and put in
- 25:20Speaker 2: the work to be a consistent player. Right now, he's
- 25:25Speaker 2: consistently not good enough to be on a playoff contending team.
- 25:30Speaker 2: And I think part of this reboot, as what they
- 25:32Speaker 2: called in Cardinal Land, they gave him the runway. A
- 25:36Speaker 2: thousand at bats is a big number of at bats
- 25:40Speaker 2: in the big leagues to show what you have. Now.
- 25:44Speaker 2: They see him working every day. Now, they see him
- 25:46Speaker 2: healthy for a long span. These are the things that
- 25:50Speaker 2: they didn't say, Hey, we need him to shorten his
- 25:53Speaker 2: swing up, hit more homers. Anything like that. It's the
- 25:56Speaker 2: focus and how much effort and work he's putting in.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Oh no, they just said he needs He didn't say
- 26:03Speaker 2: he needs to focus. They said he needs to focus
- 26:04Speaker 2: on preparation, or it says we do it more. Focus
- 26:07Speaker 2: on preparation, not about focus, so that what they want
- 26:11Speaker 2: him to do is work on the things they've talked
- 26:12Speaker 2: to him about more.
- 26:13Speaker 1: What do you think that means?
- 26:15Speaker 2: Do you think that they're saying right here, I need
- 26:17Speaker 2: to see Jordan have a sense of urgency for the
- 26:19Speaker 2: things that need to take place. That goes with the
- 26:21Speaker 2: move towards the ball. That's a mechanic thing. He needs
- 26:24Speaker 2: to go this way to the ball, Okay, and then
- 26:26Speaker 2: his preparation in the cage, but also his approach in
- 26:28Speaker 2: the game, meaning that that's the preparation. What's your approach?
- 26:33Speaker 2: What's your approach is a big thing in the big leagues.
- 26:36Speaker 2: How do you attack the picture?
- 26:37Speaker 3: Okay? What do you look for? Some guys are great
- 26:39Speaker 3: ass some guys aren't.
- 26:40Speaker 2: That's just the way it is. And you can focus
- 26:43Speaker 2: and it's hard. It's always hard for me to question
- 26:45Speaker 2: anybody's focus because I don't know what they're doing. I
- 26:48Speaker 2: don't unless you sit.
- 26:48Speaker 3: There and watch somebody twenty four hours day. I don't
- 26:50Speaker 3: know what. I don't know what Scott focused on before
- 26:52Speaker 3: the show today.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Same with Urgency. So many of the modern players.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Robinson Cano got bagged for this forever with the Yankees.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Oh he doesn't care because he doesn't, you know. But
- 27:00Speaker 2: he was just so good where you could justo Rendon.
- 27:03Speaker 1: You would look at Anthony Rendon in his prime when
- 27:05Speaker 1: he was sick, and you'd be like, is he there?
- 27:09Speaker 1: He's just like, yeah, whatever. But most people said that's
- 27:12Speaker 1: what made him amazing back then because there was zero pressure,
- 27:15Speaker 1: like the heartbeat was whatever, and it made him really good.
- 27:19Speaker 1: He wasn't going to get highly pressure. I don't know
- 27:22Speaker 1: that changed.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Listen, here's the thing. The Cardinals aren't happy with Jordan Walker.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Yeah that they're making that clear, right, yes, So then
- 27:27Speaker 2: the next question goes to do you trade him him?
- 27:30Speaker 2: Bloom new regime coming in, And the problem is if
- 27:33Speaker 2: you trade him and then he goes to another organization
- 27:35Speaker 2: they unlock him, then all the Cardinals fans are gonna say, wow,
- 27:38Speaker 2: how did.
- 27:38Speaker 3: You trade Jordan Walker?
- 27:39Speaker 1: They have PTSD, Well, every organization has PTSD.
- 27:42Speaker 3: That's why prospects are so hoarded.
- 27:44Speaker 2: We don't want to trade this guy because if he
- 27:46Speaker 2: turns into something forever, we're gonna have to hear about
- 27:48Speaker 2: this and that Fernando Tutis junior and for James Shields.
- 27:51Speaker 2: White Sox fans were bringing up all the time. Well,
- 27:53Speaker 2: when they traded for Nando Toutis junior, he wasn't the
- 27:55Speaker 2: player is now. They didn't know that he was gonna
- 27:57Speaker 2: I talked to a lot of people. They didn't think
- 27:59Speaker 2: he was gonna be what he turned into.
- 28:00Speaker 1: So here's my thing with Walker. When it comes to
- 28:04Speaker 1: the Cardinals giving him advice right and telling him this
- 28:07Speaker 1: is what we want to see, he's either A not
- 28:11Speaker 1: listening or B not agreeing, or C.
- 28:15Speaker 3: He's trying it, but it doesn't feel right and you
- 28:17Speaker 3: can't figure out how to make it work for him.
- 28:19Speaker 2: And there's also a C there.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all of that way.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Like if I tell you to go hit a baseball
- 28:24Speaker 2: off a big league picture, you can't do it. You
- 28:26Speaker 2: can try your ass off, it ain't gonna happen.
- 28:29Speaker 1: But he should be able to do that.
- 28:30Speaker 2: But some people can't make certain adjustments. And my wrong
- 28:33Speaker 2: crats like there are certain people that just cannot feel adjustments,
- 28:36Speaker 2: whatever it is. Some guys are like, Okay, I can
- 28:38Speaker 2: do this first swing. Some guys need to work on
- 28:40Speaker 2: it for years to change the littlest, tiniest thing.
- 28:43Speaker 3: And it's not that easy. It's not easy.
- 28:45Speaker 2: He's saying, hey, go hit the ball in the air
- 28:46Speaker 2: because we want you to do this. Well, he's hit
- 28:48Speaker 2: his whole life a certain way and that's what he feels.
- 28:50Speaker 2: To change somebody's feel is really hard for certain people.
- 28:54Speaker 2: And I'm going to make a generalization. He is what six'
- 28:57Speaker 2: five sixty, Six, yes and he was in the big
- 29:00Speaker 2: leagues at twenty years. Old this is the first time
- 29:02Speaker 2: he's ever. Struggled it's how many? Times is? IT a
- 29:06Speaker 2: high school coach ever told, him, hey you need to
- 29:08Speaker 2: make this. Adjustment, well why DO i need to make this.
- 29:10Speaker 2: ADJUSTMENT i am annihilating the other kids That i'm playing.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Against i'm going in the first round minor. Leagues his,
- 29:17Speaker 2: numbers you said, It, scott were ridiculous in the minor, Leagues,
- 29:21Speaker 2: like it is hard to make an adjustment in, general
- 29:25Speaker 2: let alone if it's the first time you ever making an.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Adjustment and then add on top of, that it's the big.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Leagues it is a hard place to make. Adjustments that's,
- 29:33Speaker 2: it and so it can be. Frustrating he's twenty. THREE
- 29:35Speaker 2: a lot of guys never even made up to the
- 29:37Speaker 2: big leagues at twenty by twenty, three and he has
- 29:39Speaker 2: a thousand at bats.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Already it's just that some guys never find it with
- 29:44Speaker 1: their original org and they need to go somewhere else
- 29:46Speaker 1: for it to. Click it can't be.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Good for, him And i'm gonna get he just go
- 29:51Speaker 2: to winter, ball Right, cratch send him a winter ball this.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Year there is no better. Place there's winter. Ball and, say,
- 29:58Speaker 2: NOW i never went to winter, ball BUT i heard
- 29:59Speaker 2: this from a a lot of. People if you're struggling
- 30:01Speaker 2: or whatever and you need to figure some stuff, out
- 30:03Speaker 2: go get one hundred and fifty at bats in winter
- 30:05Speaker 2: ball In dominican Or Puerto rico Or venezuela or wherever
- 30:08Speaker 2: they can get your spot to play and go figure it.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Out Because kratz knows he. Played they're tough on, you
- 30:14Speaker 3: they're into the, games and IT'S i, mean it's not
- 30:17Speaker 3: high pressure is the big, leagues but there's pressure on.
- 30:19Speaker 3: You and if you want to make an adjustment in the.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Game that's the place to go do, it.
- 30:23Speaker 1: And he never gets to take a break against you, know.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Pitching that's not big league pitching these. DAYS i, mean
- 30:27Speaker 1: obviously he's been, optioned but fay something, else try to
- 30:30Speaker 1: get some confidence. Back, yeah most of pressure is. There,
- 30:33Speaker 1: yeah the pressures. There teams are scared about injuries and
- 30:37Speaker 1: wearing them out and then being ready for the. Season
- 30:39Speaker 1: but he's not twenty three an.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Outfield, yeah not.

- 33:28Speaker 1: Shirt Does yachty wear that? Hat? Yeah he. Does he
- 33:31Speaker 1: wears A cubs.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Hat, yeah we.

- 33:36Speaker 3: place for like A cubs.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Team all, right so maybe he's not going to manage The.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Cardinals Mason, miller immaculate, inning, mhm all. Sliders the dude
- 33:47Speaker 1: that throws one oh, three that's the game.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Today that is the game. Today who do we have

- 34:05Speaker 2: hour and they go, slider, slider, slider, slider. Slider, malar
- 34:09Speaker 2: that's probably.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Laar it's probably it.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Worked it worked.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Worked are you waiting for a fastball and it's just
- 34:16Speaker 1: Never well that's the that's.
- 34:17Speaker 2: The Tommy cainley, theory, right, YEAH i Mean Mason. Miller,
- 34:21Speaker 2: also they also lost the game which they got swept
- 34:24Speaker 2: by The. Oriels that was.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Bad that was. Bad oregos are playing ball, though looked. Good,
- 34:29Speaker 1: YEAH i want to give them a little credit. Too
- 34:31Speaker 1: like to, me this is where schedule. Matters strength of
- 34:34Speaker 1: schedule says that you're playing a bad. Team to, me
- 34:38Speaker 1: that's not a bad team right.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Now, well the other thing is they have a lot
- 34:42Speaker 2: of guys that have things to play. For so even
- 34:44Speaker 2: though even though you look at their, record it's sixty
- 34:47Speaker 2: four and seventy, six and you, say there's a lot
- 34:50Speaker 2: of guys on this team that have stuff to play.
- 34:51Speaker 2: For Jackson, holiday Mount, Castle Dylan, Carlson Colin cow's Or Co.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Mayo these guys are legit playing for jobs in the.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Future but my thing, is you look at The orioles
- 35:06Speaker 1: and The gnats right in a similar area of the.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Country oh my, gosh who would you rather play right
- 35:11Speaker 1: now with three games to save your? Season that but
- 35:16Speaker 1: it's not even. Close but the records are not that far.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Away that's my. Point by the, way What.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Nestor CORTEZ i mean last TIME i saw, HIM i
- 35:25Speaker 2: saw him pitch a little not long. Ago he went six,
- 35:27Speaker 2: shutty one hit against The. DODGERS i wonder if in
- 35:31Speaker 2: the first two, INNINGS i wonder if there's something with
- 35:34Speaker 2: that that'd be a question For, Nestor like he was,
- 35:37Speaker 2: dominant he was locked, in and then it just wasn't.
- 35:41Speaker 2: There it wasn't there. YESTERDAY i mean they, were they
- 35:44Speaker 2: were teeing. Off there were some hard hit baseball.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Yesterday if only he would come on the. SHOW i,
- 35:49Speaker 1: mean he's one of the few guys THAT i think
- 35:51Speaker 1: would be good on the show that has not appeared
- 35:54Speaker 1: on this. Show So i'm calling him, out my ex. Teammate,
- 35:57Speaker 1: Yeah i'm calling him. Out it's a pretty good, interview
- 36:01Speaker 1: BUT i just think some therapy would be. Helpful you
- 36:04Speaker 1: should appear ON. Ft how has he not been on the? Show,
- 36:06Speaker 1: SERIOUSLY i don't do that.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Often but my, fault my fault him And Michael king one.
- 36:12Speaker 2: TIME i should have them. On they're my rail rider
- 36:15Speaker 2: buddies and and it's so it's on. ME i did
- 36:18Speaker 2: not develop that relationship good. Enough it's my, fault bad.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Teammate we are getting to a point where there are
- 36:24Speaker 1: not many guys that, have you, know big personalities and
- 36:28Speaker 1: haven't been on the.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Show they're both awesome dudes.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Too, Yep i've heard this is kind of, random BUT
- 36:38Speaker 1: i wanted to bring this up SINCE i scoured the YouTube.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Comments we had a comment From, paul who has been
- 36:46Speaker 1: following all of our expansion and realignment, content and he
- 36:50Speaker 1: asked IF mlb should be careful about putting another team
- 36:54Speaker 1: in elevation Like Salt Lake. City, he like, me thinks
- 36:58Speaker 1: that they're a. LOCK i think they're a. Lot they're
- 37:00Speaker 1: getting a. Team it's it's a done. Deal they just
- 37:02Speaker 1: play the, game you get the expansion, fee yuh blah blah.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Blah but you played. There do you think it would
- 37:08Speaker 1: be a problem like it is In? COLORADO i, mean he,
- 37:11Speaker 1: said you wreck careers In colorado, too for pitchers. Especially
- 37:16Speaker 1: do you think that it would be a problem to
- 37:19Speaker 1: have a Major league team? There just from the environment?
- 37:22Speaker 1: Standpoint everything else is how High.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Salt Lake city is? High how?
- 37:26Speaker 3: High?
- 37:27Speaker 2: Well how? High? Scott i'll find out high BECAUSE i
- 37:30Speaker 2: got high with. YOU i got.
- 37:35Speaker 1: How high?
- 37:35Speaker 3: IS i love playing In Salt Lake, city SO i
- 37:38Speaker 3: Mean i'd be all for. IT i mean, ANOTHER i,
- 37:40Speaker 3: mean what is?
- 37:42Speaker 2: Feet how?
- 37:43Speaker 3: Many forty two hundred? Feet how high is In? Atlanta super? High?
- 37:47Speaker 3: Too and people don't know about.
- 37:48Speaker 1: It fifty thousand feet. Higher, Yeah atlanta's still way. Lower
- 37:53Speaker 1: those two would be in another. Category that's the.
- 37:55Speaker 2: QUESTION i, MEAN i.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Played In Salt.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Lake it is a great place to, hit, sure but
- 37:59Speaker 2: some was the whole past if a, Costly Colorado springs
- 38:01Speaker 2: And albuquerque and all these places were a great place
- 38:04Speaker 2: to do SO i don't would it be a, Problem,
- 38:06Speaker 2: no but it might might be more more than one
- 38:08Speaker 2: team have to find a solution to the.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Problem let's try that might that's.
- 38:11Speaker 1: True maybe they figured it. Out, yeah that's A then
- 38:25Speaker 1: box scores two teams that we want to go. Over
- 38:27Speaker 1: would you like to start with The j's or The?
- 38:30Speaker 1: Mariners which?
- 38:32Speaker 3: Game we'll start with The mariners because on a positive.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Note, okay so what did you think of a pitcher
- 38:40Speaker 1: who has as much control as any in? Baseball and
- 38:43Speaker 1: we already talked about it Drilling Josh lowe and Then
- 38:46Speaker 1: Adrian hauser dotting Dominic Ken, Zone no problem with, It good.
- 38:50Speaker 2: For, You Adrian, Houser, okay no, problem that's other things
- 38:53Speaker 2: used to be. Handled you hit my, guy hit your.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Guy we move.
- 38:55Speaker 1: On what did you think about The mariners going ten
- 38:57Speaker 1: and one after the trade deadline and six and fourteen since.
- 39:01Speaker 3: And they can't Win east To. SPOKANE i told you.
- 39:03Speaker 1: The articles talking about how Many mariners players have been
- 39:07Speaker 1: durable this year and locked many, games and that people
- 39:10Speaker 1: are saying they look out of. Gas, okay.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Why because you don't? Know you want to know when
- 39:17Speaker 2: you look at a gas when you're, losing not, scoring
- 39:21Speaker 2: you'll look at a. Gas if they were scoring ten
- 39:23Speaker 2: runs a game and flying around a winning they'd be, like,
- 39:25Speaker 2: man this team never gets.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Tired, no they're not. Hitting when you don't, hit you
- 39:29Speaker 3: look Like.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Kratz was this a? Miarage because Cal raley was putting
- 39:36Speaker 1: together the best offensive season ever for a catcher still is,
- 39:40Speaker 1: overall but he hasn't been the Cal rally of the first.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Half he's been really, good but he's not first half.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Good so were they over reliant on Cal raley and
- 39:50Speaker 1: now that he's come back down to earth a, bit
- 39:53Speaker 1: it's a problem over?
- 39:54Speaker 2: RELIANT i don't. KNOW i, mean you have AN mvp
- 39:57Speaker 2: on your. TEAM i always hate when people are, like,
- 39:59Speaker 2: oh all The yankees are Is Aaron, Judge, like there's
- 40:02Speaker 2: some other dudes that have had good. Seasons but when
- 40:05Speaker 2: you're AN mvp. Candidate, yeah your team's gonna be relying on.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Them BUT i were they over reliant, maybe and maybe
- 40:14Speaker 2: they believe that that's why this is the year that
- 40:16Speaker 2: they went out and they Got they Got Josh, naylor
- 40:19Speaker 2: they Got Ao Henni. Osuarez so in another, year in other,
- 40:23Speaker 2: years if this is what Cal raley was doing and
- 40:25Speaker 2: they were, like, oh we're only relying on, him, yeah
- 40:28Speaker 2: they'd be. Cooked but this is WHY i don't think
- 40:30Speaker 2: they're cooked to. ME i think the blip on the
- 40:33Speaker 2: radar with their starting pitching is crazy to me BECAUSE
- 40:36Speaker 2: i thought this starting pitching was elite level and they're
- 40:41Speaker 2: showing they're they're more.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Mortal they were elite level for two plus years of.
- 40:50Speaker 3: A castillo's, Down kirby's, Down gilbert's.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Down Who's miller? Won miller hasn't been the same overall
- 40:57Speaker 1: this year. Either the four of the five are down and, Good,
- 41:00Speaker 1: Yeah woo's the, guy but.
- 41:02Speaker 3: The rest have not been. Good the bullpen hasn't been
- 41:03Speaker 3: as as tight as it has. BEEN i don't know
- 41:08Speaker 3: it's gonna. Be DO i think they should make the? Playoffs?
- 41:12Speaker 2: Yes but will?
- 41:13Speaker 3: THEY i mean they're leaking.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Oil bottom of their lineup's not doing anything lately.
- 41:20Speaker 3: EITHER i mean they are leaking.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Oil so you had the two trade acquisitions that aren't
- 41:26Speaker 1: having a good couple of. Weeks naylor And suarez bottom
- 41:29Speaker 1: of the lineup doing nothing, Lately Ken, Zone, Crawford Cole.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Young so It's, randy Cal Jay rod And. Planco that's only.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Four let's, see it's gonna be fast and it's gonna be.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Interesting there are two games up on The rangers And
- 41:46Speaker 2: royals And rays really m h and a. Loss everyone
- 41:49Speaker 2: looks at them halfs it's it's about the look at
- 41:51Speaker 2: The it's all about the lost call.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Mmm and then just quick minute here on The Blue.
- 41:56Speaker 1: JAYS i thought it was the second best game of
- 41:58Speaker 1: the day.
- 41:59Speaker 3: Yesterday this is the nail in The elk coffin for The.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Reds if they wasn't nerdy in and they were den,
- 42:04Speaker 2: buried you go up five to nothing and you lose that.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Game i'm, sorry that's kind of the nail on the.
- 42:10Speaker 2: CAR i mean they're seventy and seventy giants have passed.
- 42:15Speaker 2: THEM i, mean as much As scott wants The mets
- 42:19Speaker 2: to get the number one, seed they're.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Not and The reds aren't gonna make the.
- 42:23Speaker 2: PLAYOFFS i get the number one. SEED i thought The
- 42:28Speaker 2: reds at beginning of the season were going to be playoff,
- 42:30Speaker 2: team even a chance of winning The central and they
- 42:34Speaker 2: have grossly. Underperformed and it's situations like this where they
- 42:38Speaker 2: have a lead that, ballpark, though and it's tough to
- 42:41Speaker 2: keep a. LEAD i get.
- 42:43Speaker 1: It. Nothing no five homers for The Blue jays. Too
- 42:47Speaker 1: springer is out of his. Mind here's the.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Thing last year we thought everyone remember a couple of
- 42:52Speaker 2: years ago The reds made that late, run and then
- 42:55Speaker 2: last year everyone was, like, oh this is the Year red.
- 42:56Speaker 2: Year they figured it. Out this year they Got Tito. Franco,
- 43:00Speaker 2: no they did, this they did. That Still mid still
- 43:03Speaker 2: got to spend some. Money Still mid And Cabrian. Hayes
- 43:07Speaker 2: no offense To Cabrian. Hayes but that's not the Money
- 43:09Speaker 2: i'm talking.
- 43:10Speaker 1: About that wasn't the.
- 43:11Speaker 3: Answer that wasn't that wasn't the money we were talking.
- 43:13Speaker 1: About ish, helpful ish for, unprevention but not the answer
- 43:17Speaker 1: in that.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Ballpark look at when The reds have been good in that.
- 43:20Speaker 3: Ballpark Vodo, frasier all those.
- 43:25Speaker 1: They had dudes like they had dudes that could hit,
- 43:27Speaker 1: Homer Bruce. Phillips, yeah those are. Dudes rockies And reds
- 43:31Speaker 1: need to build a.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Ball but they could pitch. TOO i mean when you
- 43:35Speaker 2: talk about they Had, quato they Had, homer all that,
- 43:39Speaker 2: stuff they could do.
- 43:40Speaker 5: Both, well let's go do a game At. WRIGLEY i
- 43:54Speaker 5: would love. To did you see the Bench coago that day?
- 43:57Speaker 3: Too i'll be playing.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Golf, wait you know Who Laura. Religious she's a sideline
- 44:02Speaker 1: reporter married to the Ex. Rockies i'm glad you brought that, Up.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Josh so she did an interview On Andrew marshan's podcast
- 44:10Speaker 1: the other day and she admitted that she had been
- 44:13Speaker 1: Running burner account for, years going after media. Members so
- 44:21Speaker 1: here's an example of one From Alden. Gonzalez he brought
- 44:26Speaker 1: up a tweet From Halo billy twenty. Seven Billy thomas

- 44:49Speaker 3: Who's? Featherstone what was his?
- 44:51Speaker 1: Name? Taylor but the point is she was this guy's
- 44:56Speaker 1: wife was taking shots at media members to, Say, HEY

- 45:02Speaker 1: this burner account just Loving Josh. RUTLEDGE i thought it was.

- 45:18Speaker 1: That Kevin. Durant that's what you want to do with
- 45:20Speaker 1: you free? TIME i, mean you know who looks at
- 45:22Speaker 1: his phone instantly after every game In Major League? Baseball
- 45:25Speaker 1: In Baseball, jazz he applied to a fan within ten.
- 45:29Speaker 1: MINUTES i think it Was, yeah you.
- 45:31Speaker 3: Know what that, MEANS i. Do that's not something you
- 45:33Speaker 3: should be replying so many. Donuts that's exactly what.
- 45:36Speaker 1: He, meant so many. Donuts, yeah you shouldn't say that to,
- 45:40Speaker 1: someone but that's what he.
- 45:41Speaker 2: DOES i don't.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Know have you ever heard of a?
- 45:46Speaker 3: Player first of, all we used to talk about this
- 45:48Speaker 3: a lot and.
- 45:49Speaker 2: CROWDS i don't assuming we just would go with me
- 45:51Speaker 2: here that you would always tell guys like don't if
- 45:53Speaker 2: you have a, bag just don't look at your, phone
- 45:55Speaker 2: like don't don't.
- 45:56Speaker 3: And don't respond you have.
- 45:57Speaker 2: To you, know many times people write stuff to me
- 45:59Speaker 2: AND i just want to fire back at, him and
- 46:01Speaker 2: you're just, like.
- 46:04Speaker 1: But what about what about a wife or a girlfriend
- 46:07Speaker 1: creating an. ACCOUNT i think it was funny.
- 46:10Speaker 3: Try trying to get attention to her. HUSBAND i like
- 46:12Speaker 3: THE i like the.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Effort, yeah you need. To you need to tell your
- 46:15Speaker 2: family the exact same. THING aj just. Said don't read the,
