Transcript
- 0:15And now,
- 0:19the mob guys Craig Coglianese and
- 0:23Wayne
- 0:29Dolcefino,
- 0:44We are on KSEV Radio. My name is Craig Coglianese.
- 0:50He is Wayne Dolcefino. And I'm at my house.
- 0:53I'm not at the station today. I don't feel well is the excuse that I sent to
- 0:58Russell this morning and the truth was I was on the can and I wasn't gonna make
- 1:02it to work. I Actually don't feel totally well.
- 1:05We don't have to go into it any more than that, but I'll be fine for the show I
- 1:08just might leave and let you do it by yourself for a little bit No, I think we
- 1:12should talk for the first hour about your stomach issues On a Monday morning
- 1:18in October. I think that sounds great, right?
- 1:20That's the big news of the day.
- 1:21Okay Yeah, there you go. Craig, call you the guy's the squirts.
- 1:26Well, yeah, something like that.
- 1:26And as I was telling you off air, because you did it in your home or your studio,
- 1:31that's actually your office. I have a bunch of stuff behind me that we can go
- 1:35through at some point if you want.
- 1:37Yeah. Well, I don't think we have to pull each one of those.
- 1:40Sure. I asked you if those were porno toys.
- 1:44That was your question. That was verbatim what you said.
- 1:48And we might as well get this off my chest right away.
- 1:50What exactly is this at first of all you have a New York Yankees World
- 1:56Series Champions I do thing it has every year that they won the World Series,
- 2:01which is 27 times Yeah, yeah, but most of it was like in the 40s or something.
- 2:06No, not 2009. Oh 2009 2099 98 there's a
- 2:12lot of there's a lot of okay in the last 30 years in this century 2000 2009
- 2:17And so one time this entire century, well, if 2000 counts, I think
- 2:23it counts twice. No.
- 2:26All right. Yeah. I do have that.
- 2:28And then I have a bunch of pop figurines, which are both superheroes and cartoons
- 2:33and New York Yankees and veto Corleone.
- 2:37Yeah. And, and I don't know if you can show us the veto Corleone.
- 2:41Sure. I have one. I have one too.
- 2:43Mine is back there. Um, where is it?
- 2:47Back there somewhere.
- 2:50So... Mine's still in my box, because apparently it's gonna make it more
- 2:53valuable. At some point. Are you planning to resell those for like $3 at some
- 2:59point or what? You know one of the ones up there is worth like $400 bucks.
- 3:02Really? Yes, only one of them. Wow, which one is that?
- 3:06I think it's Lou Gehrig is worth $400, is what it is, yeah.
- 3:10And who still makes a Lou Gehrig?
- 3:13Well, that's the whole point. That's the reason this is so stupid to start the
- 3:17show. I can't help it. They do them and then they stop making them.
- 3:20And that's the reason that adult men like me occasionally collect these things is
- 3:24that because they stop pop figurines, stop making it, it became more valuable.
- 3:28Okay. I think we need to include Russell in this because I said adult men like
- 3:33me. And I was thinking to myself, not a lot of them in a
- 3:39campaign that's been dominated by you know talk about transgender issues and
- 3:44stuff. I just think we need to explore your psychological makeup just a little
- 3:50more. Okay and what adult men like me even means?
- 3:53Yeah well no I mean adult men who like little things in toy boxes.
- 4:00What kind of person are you? That's proud of that.
- 4:02Russell what do you want to say?
- 4:03You want to say something to this?
- 4:05What do you think of all the You got no
- 4:11sports memorabilia of any kind at your house?
- 4:13I feel like we got to steal your stuff.
- 4:14Oh yeah, we got NFL helmets all in both of my boys' rooms.
- 4:17Okay. So I buy NFL players, but that's about it, and Star Wars Legos.
- 4:22Okay, see that's a nerdy thing.
- 4:24We were at the Lego shop this weekend.
- 4:27I was with my grandkids and we were looking at potential Christmas gifts, and of
- 4:32course we bought things in front of them that we now can't, we have to give them
- 4:37now and can't give them in two months, which was a really good idea.
- 4:42Let's take the little children to a toy store and tell them to pick out the stuff
- 4:47they like and then not buy it immediately because they start crying if you don't.
- 4:54So there you go. We learned that valuable Christmas shopping lesson.
- 4:59Did you have a good weekend? I did.
- 5:00Did you have a good weekend? I did.
- 5:02I was with my grandkids. We spent the day.
- 5:05We went antique shopping in Wow Rock.
- 5:07Oh nice. Antique mall. My family is very big on antique shopping.
- 5:11Sure. I tend to walk through in about six minutes and then spend the next hour
- 5:16and a half walking back and forth so my family could catch up to me because my
- 5:21wife literally looks at every single...
- 5:26You ever go to one of those antique malls?
- 5:27There's like a million things. My wife will literally analyze everything.
- 5:33It's kind of like my son's in -laws, if that makes sense.
- 5:37My son's in -laws, we go to a museum.
- 5:40We went to London, right? I walk in the British Museum, very nice.
- 5:44I saw some stuff. I don't read the plaques.
- 5:46I can't, you know, whatever. I just, I'm through the museum in like nine minutes,
- 5:50right? I've seen what I need to see and I move on.
- 5:53And my family literally was there another two hours looking at every
- 5:59single artifact. Wow. And I, it's my life.
- 6:05So that's the way I spent my weekend.
- 6:06It sounds amazing. And I drove home from Austin back to Houston because I lived
- 6:12in Drifting Springs on the weekends and watched and listened
- 6:17to the Texans game in my car. Hey, hey, something happened there.
- 6:22And I was thoroughly disgusted by wait, wait the the University of
- 6:28Texas and their come from behind when or the Texans and they're lost to my New
- 6:32York football Giants. No, I'm talking about the Texans and after the Texans lost
- 6:37and they deserve to lose. They did.
- 6:39I don't know what happens. What's happened to their defense.
- 6:42It's not good. And the offense with all those weapons, I don't know whether it's
- 6:47the O -line, maybe Russell has a, but it just seems like when you have that many
- 6:52great receivers as we do, I think we have like one of the best receiver course, I
- 6:57think in the league, it feels like it.
- 6:59It just seemed, other than Tank Dell, seeing Tank Dell catch a pass after the
- 7:04injury he had a couple years ago was pretty incredible.
- 7:07Yes, because look I would be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life if I
- 7:12had that injury, right? Yeah, you know that I would like be they'd be wheeling me
- 7:18into the stadium To say thank you.
- 7:21Thank you guys been a great career.
- 7:23Who was the famous speech? It was a Yankee It's Lou Gehrig.
- 7:26I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth.
- 7:30That's yeah. Yeah. Yeah Yeah, and he had he had Lou Gehrig's disease and that's
- 7:34why terrible things happen. I should have known it was Lou Gehrig
- 7:38That would be it. You asked Russell a question.
- 7:40He can jump in if he wants to real quick as to why JJ McCarthy made the Texans
- 7:45defense look poor and he shouldn't be that good that quickly for the Giants.
- 7:50And honestly, Scadibo finally played well and didn't fumble the football, which I
- 7:54thought was amazing. Is that a Giants played well thing, Russell, or Texans
- 7:58played bad?
- 8:00It was a little bit of both. I mean, the Giants, they came in here ready to go
- 8:04and they were the more physical team and yeah the Texans did not play well they
- 8:09did they they really sucked yeah yeah there you go it's not their year it feels
- 8:15like I mean yeah they were ten and a half point favorite coming into this game
- 8:19yeah they were supposed to be a cakewalk mm -hmm I mean JJ McCarthy you know
- 8:25first start for the New York Giants I mean seriously yeah yeah his wife was
- 8:30pretty happy with him on social media that went viral.
- 8:34Uh, Jay McCarthy has a wife that's both cute and then very happy that he won.
- 8:37I love, I didn't know about his wife.
- 8:39Yeah. It's nice. Nice to know that you have the the hots for attractive woman.
- 8:43I don't know. Whatever. But I want to talk to Russell Russell.
- 8:47I'm sorry. What happened to this team and is, is there going to be trouble for a
- 8:53very popular coach? Like the great guy, right?
- 8:56But, but how much trouble? I don't think he should be on the hot seat.
- 9:01He's still too good of a coach and changing the coach isn't going to be the
- 9:04answer. I don't think ultimately, uh, just because he has one bad year when
- 9:09they've been to the playoffs the last three years, Wayne.
- 9:11Uh, listen, they're in their bye week this week.
- 9:14They have an opportunity to kind of reevaluate things, not have to worry about
- 9:18game planning for another team this week and try to get things fixed and right
- 9:22the ship kind of like they did last year.
- 9:24Yeah. Boy. Anyway, I watched the game, Craig, and
- 9:30then I came home and I came straight to work.
- 9:34I worked last night. I'm working on a story.
- 9:36You know, a few weeks ago, there, a couple of weighing updates,
- 9:42a few weeks ago, there was a little girl, a four -year -old girl named Vivian
- 9:48Seville, who was shot and killed by her mother, who then turned
- 9:54the gun on herself. And it was a story that hit the headlines, not just here, but
- 10:00like all over the country, because something as horrible as that shocks
- 10:06the conscience. But we are working on an investigation as to why Houston
- 10:12police have an ongoing criminal investigation, not
- 10:17only into the custody case that surrounded what happened
- 10:23because it was just hours after a court had ordered a change
- 10:29of custody from mom to dad that the mom did
- 10:35this just hours before she was to turn over the child to the other parent.
- 10:41It is one of those tragedies that for a guy like me who spends a lot of his time
- 10:45investigating family courts is like
- 10:51the worst possible result, right?
- 10:54But it's happened all over the country and it continues to happen.
- 10:58And you're going to be seeing in the next few days us not only investigate the
- 11:03father who was portrayed as the victim, and sure, his daughter's dad, so
- 11:09he's the victim. But an investigation that's underway, and not just into
- 11:13the dad, but also into the court and campaign contributions
- 11:19made to the judge, the elected judge, prior to the changing
- 11:25of custody. There are people that get campaign contributions right in the middle
- 11:30of heated family disputes. And we're looking at this.
- 11:35It's coming later this week. I also over the weekend was sad to see some video
- 11:39out of California of two little kids six and seven a Crazy
- 11:45judge in California Renee Stackhouse took these kids away from the mother the
- 11:50only parent they've really ever been with They had a father that left for long
- 11:56periods at a time and never even talked to him They flip custody to him
- 12:01and they there's video of these kids being marched you know to
- 12:07To the guy and they're all they're crying I don't want to go to him and and the
- 12:13things we're doing to children in these fights is very depressing so I was
- 12:18working on that last night and Then I got home and I looked to see what was
- 12:22happening in the news and I pressed again well, cuz
- 12:29It's one of those times of the year, man.
- 12:32I was talking to, I know we gotta take a break, we'll do that in a second, I was
- 12:35talking to Senator Betancourt's team that works with him, and they were all
- 12:40saying that their office is down right now.
- 12:43It's just a lot of people not feeling great about stuff.
- 12:46All right, we'll take a break, we'll come back.
- 12:48look, I had asked you during the break if you could say ass on the radio.
- 12:52You can. And but even when you're describing the buttocks of a woman you can't
- 12:58yes you can't know in any context Asses okay that that's true.
- 13:02I don't think you can add the other word to it I think you can get in trouble if
- 13:06you if you finish the Combination word that involves ass what's or well there?
- 13:11It's you know when you have you put a nail in a hole if you if you Say you know
- 13:17yeah, you know I'm talking about like I don't think you can say that on the radio
- 13:20I think that that's one that can get you in more trouble.
- 13:22I wonder what the difference is between ass and that of the word.
- 13:29Specificity, I think is the only thing I can say there.
- 13:31I don't know. Could you imagine the meeting where they talked about that?
- 13:35Yeah. The words you can't say. Well, and look, I'll be honest about this.
- 13:38Like I know this probably isn't also in a rundown.
- 13:40We're going to talk about President Trump talking about a guy's butt in just a
- 13:42second. But I will tell you that because of how ubiquitous like YouTube and
- 13:47everything is and how many people watch that and their podcasts and everything.
- 13:52I think FCC standards on radio broadcast will start to lower, not strengthen.
- 13:58Because to be candid, I don't know how valuable it is anymore that we're
- 14:04censoring the speech. I know the difference.
- 14:06In the internet, you got to pay for internet, then you got to go to the website,
- 14:09you got to turn it on. All those things are different than radio.
- 14:12You're just driving in your car and you're flipping through channels.
- 14:13But I do think that inevitably more bad words will probably be heard on radio
- 14:19because we're not protecting society anymore.
- 14:22It's not happening. You know, I was shocked that in 27 years of television, I
- 14:28never said a bad word. Well, I said a bad word, but not like the F word or
- 14:33something. Sure. I was always shocked because I say it so much in my personal
- 14:39life. I describe people with that word a lot, but the reason we were having
- 14:45back to the context of this, the context of our discussion, I wasn't asking
- 14:51you about ass during the break just to say, hey, did you see that?
- 14:57It's just that I was watching the Communist News Network and they were
- 15:03talking about the constant remarks about
- 15:08men's butts and there was a commentator on that that appeared to
- 15:14me based on things he said before to be a gay guy but
- 15:18he said that they were welcoming I was in a
- 15:24Trump coming out. That's nice. And I don't know whether or not it's comments like
- 15:29that that made Donald Trump start talking about Nicki Minaj's ass
- 15:35during his speech in Michigan, but he did it.
- 15:40Yes, we can play that audio. So this is the President of the United States
- 15:42talking about a guy's butt and then also Nicki
- 15:47Minaj's. Got it quiet right now.
- 15:51Hold on. one hell of a beautiful ass before nicky menage that
- 16:00that's hard to do this as their before that i think that this audio is actually
- 16:05clipped to that moment before that was when he said uh...
- 16:07that some guy had a better but any expected that guy that and they don't look at
- 16:11the response but he definitely notices nikki i will say a couple things but they
- 16:17got so i'd can appreciate it handsome guy I don't want to date him, I don't
- 16:22want to have sex with him, I can appreciate.
- 16:26I mean everybody has whatever they want to do.
- 16:29I'm a hetero, I'm a proud, a banner wearing hetero.
- 16:35Love women. And I can appreciate that, but it's
- 16:41weird because when they were discussing this on CNN they said, is that really the
- 16:46closing argument that Republicans want?
- 16:48I mean, I love CNN, right? Because they say some outrageous things.
- 16:51I mean, this news network. That President Trump probably talked for what, an
- 16:55hour, hour and a half in Michigan about everything.
- 16:59Yes. And he probably spent 30 seconds, 40 seconds talking about Nicki Minaj's
- 17:05ass. I don't think he spent 10 seconds.
- 17:08And CNN concludes that that's the closing argument for Republicans because it's
- 17:13what they choose to play to their audience.
- 17:17which I think is a reflection of the media of our times and the battle
- 17:22that we are facing. I think it's got a bigger context
- 17:28because it's the battle we are truly facing.
- 17:32In a world of low, they call them low information voters.
- 17:37I like to use the word dumb, but the low information is fine.
- 17:40But people that either aren't engaged in politics or just living
- 17:46their lives or they're stupid or whatever reason, right?
- 17:50They're homeless and they haven't gotten their mail -in vote card yet or
- 17:55whatever. It just seems like we are all watching this
- 18:00slow crumbling of a society. And I don't mean to be depressing
- 18:06on a Monday morning, but I came to work a little down This morning well after
- 18:12I for watching all this stuff, you know, you know It's really interesting about
- 18:16that because like we can couch this in a local thing, too We put all that Carla
- 18:20Wyatt stuff up on the internet our discussion with the two victims Yeah, who got
- 18:25their cars crashed into by a person who to me from the video and the description
- 18:30of how she was behaving doesn't sound like she was sober.
- 18:34I don't know if she was drunk or if something else was going on.
- 18:36I don't know. Hey, I'll call her a drunk.
- 18:38She can sue me. I don't care. Fair enough.
- 18:40Well, yeah, I don't know what was happening, but the two people that she hit
- 18:43definitely didn't describe her as a completely lucid person.
- 18:46And yet people don't seem to care about that.
- 18:48We got 2 ,000 views for a video about something stupid.
- 18:53And we got like 500 views for the Carl Wyatt stuff.
- 18:57And then the Amigos on Friday were talking about how she's likely to win.
- 19:00And like no one cares. And so I think to your point to what you're saying,
- 19:04there's a lot of people out there who are low information in the sense that they
- 19:08don't do any current research on any of the candidates.
- 19:11They think of themselves as a Democrat or Republican.
- 19:14In this case, I'm assuming a Democrat and they just vote Democrat every two
- 19:18years, four years if they choose to vote and they don't really pay attention.
- 19:22I don't know if all of those people are dumb.
- 19:25I think some of them probably are, but I think a lot of them are just they think
- 19:28they're doing the right thing. they're brainwashed at the lowest level and
- 19:31they're convinced that they're fighting the good fight and they don't even do the
- 19:35research to check if it's currently accurate for the candidates they support.
- 19:39Yeah, but I think a lot of it has to do with information.
- 19:42Sure. Because in the older days, right, in the turn of the century when
- 19:48TV was still very big in local communities, you would get your
- 19:54information from three or four sources.
- 19:56I'm not saying that's proper right.
- 19:58It's just the reality. And now you get information everywhere.
- 20:03I will tell you that I think people do care.
- 20:08I just don't think there's so much information being, they're being bombarded
- 20:13with that they start to turn off.
- 20:16They start to turn off here as we get in the last month of the election.
- 20:20I've had people call me three weeks for an election and try to hire us to help
- 20:24them expose something. And I go guys it's three weeks for the election like if
- 20:30you didn't do this start doing this months ago Yeah, you've got to
- 20:35repeatedly pound people with the same message Which is why you cannot turn
- 20:41on the TV for more than about eight seconds without seeing a trans commercial or
- 20:47a commercial about Islam and the coming Muslim wards Which
- 20:53which I think is really? going to become an even more defining issue.
- 20:59I really think we are heading, especially if the elections don't go
- 21:05well, right? And who knows, right?
- 21:08How independents are voting. You know, independents aren't happy with Trump, but
- 21:12they also don't believe what the Democrats do, right?
- 21:16Well, they're gonna sacrifice it.
- 21:17You're right about the local elections.
- 21:19I mean, it's It's frightening that we just had 41 % property tax increases
- 21:25in the last three years in Harris County and those, they're all going to win.
- 21:31Yeah. None of that. Nobody, they complain about it.
- 21:34They care, but they don't do enough to notice that it's going to keep happening.
- 21:37You know, like it's not, it's not even like some of these politicians have to try
- 21:41hard in how they campaign, which really does annoy me.
- 21:44They can just say whatever they want.
- 21:45Like Talarico right now, for example, he is saying whatever he wants.
- 21:48We do have hidden camera of him once again admitting I think to a supporter
- 21:52Somebody it sounded like he knew who was willing to record him say it that he was
- 21:57going to do exactly what he's saying He won't do as soon as he becomes a senator
- 22:01if he gets into the Senate He will go back on all the flip -flops that he made we
- 22:05have another version of that audio dog
- 22:09Alright we gotta take another Hey, how
- 22:13you doing? I'm thrilled to be with you.
- 22:18talking about Kamala Harris and how terrible she is to trot out there.
- 22:22Actually, we should do this correctly.
- 22:24You mentioned Obama, and is it CNN that was saying something about it?
- 22:28Of course. CNN was calling him the closer in chief.
- 22:31Wait a second. That really hasn't worked so well.
- 22:35Yeah, he can't run for office anymore, which I'm sure they're upset about because
- 22:38he's their version of Donald Trump, I guess, on the right.
- 22:42The only person that they can trot out that anyone seems to like on the left is
- 22:45everybody else they put out there.
- 22:46like Biden's nowhere. You're not going to see Biden on any campaign trail for
- 22:50anybody that I'm aware of. And if he is somewhere, no one's sharing the video of
- 22:54him popping up. But Harris went viral for saying a lot of like word salad stuff
- 22:58again. I would invite her to run for president.
- 23:02Yeah. Because she wants to. I know she does.
- 23:06And I think she's looking. I think she thinks that people want her
- 23:12to. But I just can't But they may have set up the primaries where,
- 23:18you know, I think Gavin Newsom was sort of not really just kidding because the
- 23:23first Democratic primary is South Carolina, which is a fairly big, you know, I
- 23:28guess black people thing. And that's going to impact.
- 23:33But I heard Josh Shapiro this weekend,
- 23:38the guy in Pennsylvania. I heard of Wes Moore who's the governor of Maryland who
- 23:44I like as a, I mean I watch him and I like him.
- 23:49I mean I don't agree with him politically.
- 23:52You can watch somebody and say, oh that guy seems like he's a cool guy.
- 23:57And I smile, you know, and I'm not going to start talking about his butt because
- 24:02I haven't seen it and I don't really care.
- 24:04I don't really care about it. I get you.
- 24:06You know, have you ever, you ever look at a man's butt and say, God, I've never
- 24:10done it. I've never done it. I will.
- 24:12If you want me to, because you talked about this earlier in the show, I will
- 24:15admit that you can notice like when a dude probably is more popular with ladies
- 24:20than another guy, like, Oh, I got like, it's built like a, like a brick, you
- 24:23know, and the funny thing is I don't like those guys immediately.
- 24:26Like cause I'm jealous. I'm sure that there's a jealousy component when a dude
- 24:29walks in, that's, that's more easily successful in a room full of women than I'll
- 24:33be. Yeah, in your case, attractive.
- 24:39You don't want, you're jealous.
- 24:42Well, it's competitive. I think it's competitive even though I'm a happily
- 24:44married man who wouldn't flirt with people anyway, but like competitive.
- 24:47And so like it's funny when an attractive dude shows up at a place, I don't like
- 24:51him more than an attractive woman who I obviously like immediately for a variety
- 24:55of reasons. I'm married, but I still like to flirt a little bit.
- 25:00Some beautiful waitress comes to my table.
- 25:02I'm not gonna like treat her like I would probably the 800 pound Woman with
- 25:08like piercings all over her face You know, what's funny about that just because I
- 25:12have the Kamala Harris audio and I should play it But I do want to say this my
- 25:14wife and I joined a gym last night I don't want to say which one but we joined a
- 25:18gym and the attractive woman was walking us around the gym like showing us
- 25:22Everything and I kept making these little jokes with her.
- 25:24I wouldn't consider it flirting I was getting her to laugh and they were just
- 25:27little jokes. My wife was there She was with me, but like it was the attractive
- 25:32lady. She didn't like it. Yeah, when we walked out, she's like, why did you flirt
- 25:35with her in front? I'm like, I didn't, I don't think I did that, but like I was
- 25:38making sure you did. And the woman was selling us the thing.
- 25:41So maybe she was laughing to sell us something, not laughing because I was funny.
- 25:45Well, I guess the most important question is how many decades did you sign up for
- 25:50as a result of this woman that you weren't flirting with?
- 25:55I wasn't. I was making a joke. I started the conversation by saying she was
- 25:58attractive. She's very attractive.
- 25:59Anyway, back to... Okay, yeah, sorry.
- 26:01We were talking about Colm Harris.
- 26:03I was saying to myself, when I hear her talk or in her accents or whatever fake
- 26:09southern thing... Sure, some of that.
- 26:11I just think of a woman I met once at...
- 26:16There's a bar, a little dive bar I stopped at on Richmond Avenue called Dino's.
- 26:22And I was out there one night by myself, little patio, nobody else was out there.
- 26:26And the drunkest woman I ever met in my life came stumbling out of the
- 26:32back of the place and she Literally, there's like a step up to the deck
- 26:38and she literally fell Right. She was so drunk and she started talking to me and
- 26:42I didn't understand a word She was saying and I was thinking of myself when I saw
- 26:46the camel cuddle of Harris stuff Yeah, I was thinking about that woman.
- 26:50Okay, but she reminds me of the drunk person.
- 26:53That's like, yeah drunk at the end of the night Yeah, no, that's true.
- 26:56Here, let's do, because you just referenced a bunch of stuff.
- 26:58Let's play the audio of her from the 22nd of October.
- 27:02She's talking to a group of black voters and she puts on a Southern preacher
- 27:07accent as it's described. This was, I think it was in Mississippi.
- 27:10And then it's immediately paired to a video of her in New Hampshire, talking to a
- 27:15group of white people. And we'll see if you can spot the difference in how she
- 27:18sounds in these two little pieces of audio that are put together.
- 27:21Here we go. Something we've been sitting back feeling like I can't do anything
- 27:25about this. I'm feeling powerless.
- 27:27I'm feeling hopeless. I'm feeling alone Don't feel that way anymore and more
- 27:42Hey guys
- 27:45Powerless is over. That's just a little tease of it 25 seconds Yeah, there was
- 27:49also think she said that a lot of people were petty this week.
- 27:53It was one of her weird
- 27:57Weird juxtapositions of words The word salad thing.
- 28:01I'm trying to remember exactly what she said, but it is I think
- 28:07I think you're talking about that.
- 28:08I have it. I think you're talking about the powerless powerful thing.
- 28:11Is that it? I don't know. It's just she just says some incredibly like we let me
- 28:17try Let me try this one and if it's not this it's the circle of life stuff with
- 28:20the kids. Here we go Okay, you know, I firmly believe when you feel powerless you
- 28:25are powerless when you feel powerful You're powerful and we are powerful.
- 28:30I don't know what that is. I don't know what she's saying there
- 28:35Let's try the one about the kids and maybe this is the other one for you I mean
- 28:38if you have the chance in whatever your you know your
- 28:44circle of life to just talk to like an eight -year -old.
- 28:50Okay. That's one of the best things.
- 28:53You know, someone who just has that twinkle and hasn't been, you know, they have
- 28:59the twinkle, they believe in all, and they're curious and, oh, that gives me
- 29:05joy. Just because, you know, there is something I think about about looking at
- 29:11children to remind us of our natural nature.
- 29:16Not the nature. It is our nature.
- 29:20There is something about that. I don't know what you said.
- 29:23Boy, I tell you what, I'm wondering why Donald Trump won in 2020.
- 29:28Can't figure it out. It's like, let's play a couple of minutes.
- 29:32You know why? Because Americans, as low information voters that they are, do
- 29:37realize when someone appears to be intoxicated during the day, right?
- 29:42Yeah. Oh yeah. I don't know whether she drinks or not.
- 29:45I mean, that's the rumor, but it's a good rumor and I like passing it along.
- 29:50But if she's not drunk, then she's incredibly stupid.
- 29:55You know what's funny is I remember all the time when I was a little kid, my
- 29:59mother, my mom and dad were divorced, so she dated a few dudes.
- 30:02And I remember this one dude named Chuck that was pretty drunk all the time.
- 30:06He was drunk constantly. Yeah, and I was like eight or nine years old.
- 30:09And I still kind of remember this moment.
- 30:11We went to some concert on the beach in Jersey and he's standing there getting
- 30:15hammered. And then he looks at me and he points at somebody.
- 30:18And I remember the quote, how he said it, because I thought it was so funny.
- 30:21He goes, son, just so you know.
- 30:22Winners never win and cheaters always prosper.
- 30:26And then he just walked away. And I was like, that can't be what that phrase is
- 30:29supposed to be. Winners never win and cheaters always prosper.
- 30:33I think he meant something else.
- 30:35But that stuck with me because he shared that wisdom with an eight, nine year old
- 30:38child. How long did Chuck stay around?
- 30:41He's only a few months. He's one of those.
- 30:44Yeah, I've never, I wasn't, you know, my parents didn't get along and my father
- 30:48traveled a lot. So I never really had like other dudes around.
- 30:52Yeah, what is it like to have it's weird other?
- 30:56Like some guy show up who's that's weird.
- 30:58No, he's probably hanging out with your mom I should be honest.
- 31:01My mom didn't date a lot of people.
- 31:02She'll hate this whole segment That's now on the radio and maybe will happen off
- 31:06the radio too But I remember a few of their names Chuck George there were a
- 31:10couple and she was George George is a mechanic He could fix a car.
- 31:14So that was fancy I think she dated him more out of out of the benefit of him
- 31:19fixing her car than anything else But when you're a little kid, you also don't
- 31:23totally process it because I also think there were probably Date she might have
- 31:27went on as a 30 something year old mom with four kids that she didn't tell the
- 31:32kids about at all You know, there might have been dudes.
- 31:33I never met though We should get her on the radio.
- 31:37This is the second time you've asked for that man.
- 31:39We should Busy, I think she's gonna be too busy.
- 31:43She's very good She's gonna take a couple hour teacher doing stuff.
- 31:47I just But the point is, the point I was actually trying to make had nothing
- 31:53to do with my mother's dating history.
- 31:55It had to do very much with the fact that even a child could detect a drunk
- 31:58person and like drunk speech. And I think the most fascinating thing about
- 32:02Harris, whether she's actually intoxicated or just a moron, is that she continues
- 32:06to say this stuff and thinks that it's effective.
- 32:09You know, like you would think that someone would eventually tell her, stop
- 32:12trying to share what you think is wisdom on a stage.
- 32:16Well, just give the straight answer to something and move on You know just try
- 32:20stop trying to put words together that nobody on the planet have ever you write
- 32:25in the same Yeah together You know because I think that it goes beyond the dumb
- 32:31voter thing that we're talking about before if an eight -year -old can tell When
- 32:34a drunk dude gave him bad advice Then it's not just stupid people out there that
- 32:39are that are being convinced that these are good choices It's something else
- 32:43going on. It's someone who doesn't even care that she's doing an interview
- 32:46anywhere and isn't gonna watch it and is still gonna vote D.
- 32:50That's right. And look, I can't, I will say this.
- 32:54I've heard the statewide numbers that for the first time, I think it was Friday,
- 32:58that the Republican, people that I say they're Republican, their vote was
- 33:04more than the Democrats. So it is possible that a
- 33:10lot of people who are on the sidelines may break
- 33:15later on for Republicans despite what problems they may
- 33:20have with Trump. And so, it's gotten to the point where like these
- 33:26polls, and we've talked about these polls that they say like, so -and -so's got a
- 33:31two point lead and he's got 45 and the other guy's got 43.
- 33:35And I said it before, but like that's 88, which means there's like 12 % of the
- 33:41voters who they don't know what they're going to do.
- 33:43And so all these things constantly play out a poll.
- 33:46He's one point ahead. I mean, that's not gonna, it's not gonna end that way.
- 33:51It's not gonna, that's not gonna be the result.
- 33:53Plus I can't, I can't actually believe that 12 % really don't know what they're
- 33:56going to do. They might've told a pollster that, but I really don't think at this
- 33:59point, 12 % of people are still undecided.
- 34:02Well, it'll come down, I think, to whether or not people are willing to
- 34:07bring back the people that they know are not, don't have the same
- 34:13values. Yeah. Yeah. That's interesting.
- 34:16Well, we'll see. I don't know. I think that Talarico, unfortunately, has a much
- 34:20better chance than I ever would have thought he had to win Texas.
- 34:23God, Senator, Senator, Talarico.
- 34:25I don't think it'll actually happen.
- 34:26I think both of us came to that understanding Friday when the polls tightened
- 34:29that that's probably good for Paxton and knock on wood it will be.
- 34:33But to your point about values not reflecting the people chosen to represent
- 34:38something, Talarico doesn't reflect any values of Texas and yet he's running a
- 34:43close race. So it makes no sense to me.
- 34:45All right, we gotta take another, what were you gonna say?
- 34:47Wanna say something else? I was gonna say, yeah.
- 34:49Yeah, cool. Quick break, a lot more.
- 34:51We are the Mob Guys, KSEV Radio, The Voice of Texas, live streaming on all the
- 34:56platforms and staying with you for the entire two hours there, including Wayne's
- 35:00smoke break. All that and more on The Voice of Texas.
- 35:03radio, the point detected. Wayne was just talking about how some things work in
- 35:07his business off -air that I think is really fascinating.
- 35:10We can do a little bit of it on air if you want to, that they can just charge you
- 35:14whatever amount they want when you ask for government records.
- 35:17Yeah, and you're one of the, so we asked, and I was telling you that, and I don't
- 35:23mind talking about it on the radio, I haven't done it yet, but it's happening
- 35:26today, so I don't care. I'm suing another city in Texas,
- 35:32this time Corpus Christi over records.
- 35:36And it's not, and this, I think it's a scheme.
- 35:41So we asked for phone records for I think a period of six
- 35:47months, phone bills, for five council members in
- 35:53Corpus Christi. And we said all we want to see are their communications,
- 35:59their texts, and their phone calls with three individuals, right?
- 36:04So it's five people's phone bills for six months and all we want to see are the
- 36:10phone calls or texts with three other people.
- 36:14Okay? Pretty simple. Pretty simple.
- 36:15Pretty simple, yes. All right. We get a cost estimate of $32 ,000.
- 36:21How? Well, it's really fascinating how they come up with these.
- 36:27So they come up with a figure of 1 ,800
- 36:33man hours to perform the task
- 36:39of printing off, you know, 20, 30 phone bills and simply
- 36:44finding the numbers of three people.
- 36:47And then downloading your phone's text messages with those three people.
- 36:52If someone wanted my records, they'd never get them, but if someone wanted my
- 36:56records and they wanted to see how many times I talked to you, right, and I would
- 37:01tell them, you know, Craig calls me all the time.
- 37:07He texts me at all hours of the night.
- 37:10But it'd take me about 15 minutes to get it off my phone, right?
- 37:14It would not be that hard. No, I could collect it in less time for less money.
- 37:18Like honestly, if the government would let me do it for them and let me take some
- 37:22of the cost. I could really lower this quite a bit and get this done.
- 37:25But you also don't know that government is allowed to charge overhead.
- 37:30So let's say they charge 15 % overhead for
- 37:35electricity. I got to pay the utilities at City Hall but I asked for records.
- 37:40Even though they're only working on it during the day when the lights are already
- 37:43on. So I've always sort of been intrigued by why are we being charged overhead?
- 37:49What's the overhead? I mean, I'm essentially paying the salaries of these
- 37:55people, right? But 1 ,800 hours.
- 37:58Think about people who, and I've said this before, and it's probably
- 38:04inappropriate, but you could have your arms and legs cut off, and you could just
- 38:07be like a little, like a stump sort of person, and get to a
- 38:13computer and just press print on this.
- 38:19account. Easy to be done. But at 1800 hours and then...
- 38:23Where does all the overhead, like who gets it?
- 38:25The government just gets to keep it and they just put it like it.
- 38:28Yeah, profit. Okay. We have to give the government a profit when we asked to see
- 38:33the records detailing the money that we paid them to spend.
- 38:37Right. They make money while you investigate their fraud.
- 38:41Yeah, no. That's insane. It's government's great.
- 38:44I think it's... That seems terrible.
- 38:46In 250 years, and this is an anniversary year, so we should talk about this.
- 38:51We have clustered, and I use that word because the other word that's similar to
- 38:56that would not be appropriate. That can't be an on -air.
- 38:58Yeah, that's an off -air only. Is that an internet only kind of thing?
- 39:01Well, even then, I don't know that they'll love it, but yes.
- 39:04Okay, but it's a cluster, and everyone knows what I mean.
- 39:08It's absolutely a cluster. And then we asked for something else.
- 39:12They gave us a cost estimate for $12 ,000, and they finally produced the records
- 39:16yesterday. I didn't pay it and just told them, you know, I'm gonna sue you and so
- 39:21yeah for a Thursday I think it was they sent us three emails Okay.
- 39:26Wow, that's the only emails they claim they found for $12 ,000 when all you had
- 39:32to do is press Like I the morning when I come in to get a link to the show I just
- 39:37pull up my press the button call you're nays eight.
- 39:39No, I don't know how to do that I just go back to my original email from you.
- 39:43Will you say this is the link do this?
- 39:46Gotcha And so I'm a creature of habit because I'm older, so I just did what Colin
- 39:51Azey told me. You know what's really funny about the way you just described that?
- 39:55Oh, we gotta take a break. By the way, we are getting comments and some social
- 39:57media pages. People are loving the fact that they can hear us between the breaks
- 40:01on the show. I don't know if KSEV Radio is loving that we're doing that.
- 40:04I'm not sure. I'll have to get word from them after this.
- 40:07But there are listeners that seem to enjoy our Off -Air banter as much as the
- 40:10Honor banter. And we're not even saying some of the crazy stuff we normally say.
- 40:14Well, because you know, there's some people do shows together who when they go to
- 40:17commercial breaks don't say silence to each other they hate each other they don't
- 40:21want to talk you and I just we're just hanging out yeah and we're talking to
- 40:25people about the deterioration of America yep which we've got to wake up and
- 40:31fight and I appeal once again to the corny people you know stop whining yeah we
- 40:35got 10 seconds we got to take a break lots of talk to KSEV radio voice of Texas
- 40:39back with the second hour the mob guys all right after this
