- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Well, a little bit later on today, actually it'll be this evening, so it'll already be dark, but uh fall officially begins.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: This is it for summer.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: Breathe breathe in with me, the last moments of summer.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: Which obviously a lot of this summer felt like early, early fall the entire summer anyway.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: But we take we come to the season now where Allie loses her mind over every fall thing under the sun.
- 0:23SPEAKER_02: I've already started.
- 0:23SPEAKER_02: I've worn my little Halloween sweatshirt today.
- 0:26SPEAKER_02: Which I don't hate that.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: It has the Bride of Frankenstein on it dancing and it says Monster Mash.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: It's the apple thing.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: Oh, we gotta drive by and we gotta drive it.
- 0:36SPEAKER_02: But you just said you just you're going to a cidery on Saturday, right?
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I am.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: Uh which uh I know you're so excited about.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: No, actually I am.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: I want the kids to see how uh they make cider because Gavin loves apple cider, so I'm excited for that part of it.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Me too.
- 0:49SPEAKER_02: I stopped at one of those like roadside stands in Lindley the other day.
- 0:53SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 0:53SPEAKER_02: And they had fresh cider in there.
- 0:56SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Let this be a warning to you.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Ah, yes, the fall season has finally arrived, and across this great nation, millions of people are preparing for one of autumn's most inexplicable traditions.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Leaf peeping.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: It's when-grown adults pack sandwiches, drive for hours, and even pay for hotel rooms so they can stare at dying trees.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: You've seen trees before.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: They're not exactly an endangered species, and yet these leaf peepers are standing outside proclaiming, ooh, look at the colors.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: Do you know what's really amazing about trees?
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: They're everywhere.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: You probably drove past 400 of them on your way to the trees you spent actual money to see.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: And then after you take your 700 pictures, you'll drive all the way back home so the next morning you can furiously blow the exact same leaves into a pile.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: And why?
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Because when they're on your lawn, suddenly they're now garbage.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Wow, how not at all hypocritical.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Well, leaf peepers, enjoy the fall.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Wear your goofy sweaters.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: But for the love of God, please stop driving across state lines to stare at dying trees like they're a tourist attraction.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: The trees aren't going anywhere.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Well, except maybe into your gutters.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but you know the best place to leave Peep.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: It was Peak and Peak.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: You go in one of the ski lifts and you go through the leaves.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: So cool.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: Just proving the point.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: It is so far.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: Oh, wait, wait.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: And then last year.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: And you know what's great about that?
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Zach will have his phone and he'll be watching the Ohio State Game.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: Oh, I know.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: Two, one, you're listening to Scott and Allie.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Scott and Allie's big three.
- 2:47SPEAKER_02: I have another great leaf place, but I'll tell you in a second.
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: First one.
- 2:50SPEAKER_02: I'm telling you, it is worth it.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: Anyway, the big three brought to you by ENV Energy.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: Cooler attempts ahead.
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: We gotta take care of our warm bodies inside with they've got propane, kerosene, um, fuel.
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: Think of it like this.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: What?
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: You're looking at an expensive winner.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: If you find a company that's not that that's well, it's gonna be it's gonna happen.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: If you're looking for a company that's not gonna get you with all the little extras, like fees and surcharges and this and that, the E and V energy.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: Lindsey Clancy's lawyers are asking a Massachusetts judge to investigate the only juror who wanted to convict her of murder and the deaths of her three children.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Side note, I think they should.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: I think they should make sure that his decision, which is his, kind of falls in line with sanity, if that makes sense.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: In other words, if he uh is was so brutally influenced by something from his past or whatever the case may be, wouldn't you kind of want to know?
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: I mean, you had 11 other jurors all say the exact opposite.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: Well, and also he does have a little bit of a sketchy past.
- 3:59SPEAKER_02: He had some domestic violence charges against him.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Which were dropped.
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: Which were dropped.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: You gotta remember because sometimes people will make statements that later on they go, Well, I was doing that because I was mad.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Not always, but sometimes.
- 4:13SPEAKER_02: Well, I'm just I'm still just curious on who he is as a person who's gonna be.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 4:18SPEAKER_02: Um, they're also seeking to have the criminal case dismissed, saying that putting her on trial again would violate her constitutional rights.
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: And then on top of that, uh, let's see.
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: Oh, uh Jurgene Desrenville believes she understood what she was doing when she killed her children.
- 4:36SPEAKER_02: In motions made public yesterday, the defense attorney asked the court to investigate whether Desrenville used his cell phone during deliberations, which is prohibited.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: Now, I tease this a little bit, and I want to make this the connection to we were talking just a second ago, how if you have a young teen who's breaking up with someone, to have someone present, like a friend in a car nearby, or maybe at a park or whatever, this was after a young lady was killed by someone she was breaking up with.
- 5:05SPEAKER_02: And this I think also goes with Facebook marketplace interactions as well.
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: Because a Texas woman is warning people to be careful when you're meeting strangers through a Facebook marketplace or one of those online sale um websites like vintage or something like that.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: After her husband was killed during a robbery, he was a father of two meeting somebody to sell some property, you know, whatever it was, and then um a 17-year-old has now been charged with capital murder of killing her husband.
- 5:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 5:36SPEAKER_02: And then one just quick thing here the parole hearings for Lyle and Eric Menendez have been set for next year.
- 5:43SPEAKER_02: They're gonna take place on February 23rd, and then Eric will take place the next day.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: Both will join their respective hearings from the prison they're being held at in San Diego.
- 5:51SPEAKER_02: And there's the big three.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: All right, give it to me very quickly.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: Just get it out of your system, the other leaf peeping place.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: Oh, uh, it's kind of two in one, but it's somewhere I went last year.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: I went to um Rock City Park and Kinzu Bridge.
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: Oh, Kinzu.
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: Oh, or Kinzua or however they say it.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: Is it Kinzu?
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: Kinzu.
- 6:11SPEAKER_02: I've always heard Kinzu.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: Kazoo.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, the one by Olean.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: That's cool.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: That's a cool place.
- 6:16SPEAKER_02: It is a really cool place.
- 6:17SPEAKER_02: It gets super busy.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: But here's my pro tip.
- 6:21SPEAKER_02: I went at five o'clock at night.
- 6:23SPEAKER_02: The park closes at six, and there were not a lot of people.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: With the sunset, no less.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: It was awesome.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: Man.
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: Yes.
