- 1:16Speaker 3: Community Steel. All right, it's Tuesday morning, nine am. You
- 1:19Speaker 3: know what time it is. Finally, training camp is upon us,
- 1:25Speaker 3: about almost a week in the books, and our next
- 1:28Speaker 3: guest every single week has finally got something to talk about.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Nihill. What's up, buddy? How you doing doing good?
- 1:36Speaker 2: Hey man?
- 1:37Speaker 5: On a scale of one of the Community Steel how excited.
- 1:39Speaker 5: Are you about Rattler, you know, making some place?
- 1:41Speaker 3: Oh dude, big time community steell for sure. Oh man,
- 1:46Speaker 3: I'm telling you, I'm taking I'm just taking bullets out
- 1:48Speaker 3: here on social media. Just because I make one comment
- 1:51Speaker 3: on a Rattler throw.
- 1:52Speaker 5: They get so weird about it. He looked great, though,
- 1:54Speaker 5: he really is. He looked great that and look he
- 1:56Speaker 5: should add two deep balls to Bury and Brown yesterday.
- 1:59Speaker 5: The first one was on the money. Brown kind of
- 2:01Speaker 5: missed it came back to him Sam exact throw.
- 2:03Speaker 2: They hit on it. He's he's been very solid, man,
- 2:05Speaker 2: He's made very good progression.
- 2:08Speaker 5: Tyler shucks obviously the starter, but that doesn't mean Spencer
- 2:11Speaker 5: Ratler isn't a guy that's also a young, developing quarterback
- 2:14Speaker 5: when we see that development too.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So yeah, he's been good, man. He's looks solid so far.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I wasn't even going to ask about him. I didn't
- 2:19Speaker 3: want to take those bullets anymore. So thank you for
- 2:22Speaker 3: bringing it up. Just because you have a starter doesn't
- 2:26Speaker 3: mean your backup can't make improvements. I mean, I think
- 2:28Speaker 3: the Saint's got an extremely healthy quarterback groom, and I
- 2:32Speaker 3: think Rattler might be one of the best, if not
- 2:33Speaker 3: the best backup in the league.
- 2:36Speaker 5: Look, he if these weapons develop and Jordan Tyson becomes
- 2:41Speaker 5: Jordan Tyson and all these things happen, I wouldn't be
- 2:45Speaker 5: super worried about him going in a game, Like I
- 2:46Speaker 5: wouldn't necessarily feel like they're screwed if he went.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Into a game.
- 2:49Speaker 5: And again, like one of my biggest curiosities with this
- 2:52Speaker 5: team is I would love to see him end up
- 2:55Speaker 5: somewhere else and get a shot at some point, at
- 2:57Speaker 5: some point in his career, if it's not going to
- 2:59Speaker 5: be here, I would love to see him get you know,
- 3:01Speaker 5: the Brian Hoyer chances or whatever some of those guys
- 3:04Speaker 5: around the league.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I got a chance to prove himself.
- 3:06Speaker 5: I think he might surprise people if he keeps developing
- 3:09Speaker 5: the way he has, Like you see the improvement. You know,
- 3:11Speaker 5: the biggest thing for me is that there's more of
- 3:13Speaker 5: a willingness to stretch it out and go down the
- 3:15Speaker 5: field so far through five days, Whereas you know that
- 3:18Speaker 5: might be a product of just taking out the competition too.
- 3:22Speaker 5: Whereas last year you're going out here and it's like,
- 3:24Speaker 5: you know, I got to be seventy five percent passing
- 3:26Speaker 5: every day and I can't risk a mistake. I think
- 3:28Speaker 5: you see a freedom with how he's playing, and I
- 3:30Speaker 5: think you see him expanding to what he's doing. I
- 3:33Speaker 5: think it's a good thing for him, and I do
- 3:35Speaker 5: see growth out of him right now.
- 3:36Speaker 3: You know what's what's kind of cool about both the
- 3:38Speaker 3: quarterbacks and like, excuse me, listeners for talking about a
- 3:41Speaker 3: backup quarterback. I was a backup quarterback, so I'm a
- 3:43Speaker 3: little bit interested. But you know what's there's freedom in
- 3:47Speaker 3: knowing where you stand for both Shuck and Rattler. Obviously,
- 3:51Speaker 3: Schuck knows he is the like the starter, there's no
- 3:55Speaker 3: question about that. This is different than last year. So
- 3:58Speaker 3: training camp for both of these guys, they get a
- 4:01Speaker 3: chance to go on to work on their craft. They
- 4:04Speaker 3: don't have to try to outplay somebody right now. They
- 4:07Speaker 3: get to work on their craft. So they get to
- 4:09Speaker 3: try a back shoulder seam throw that maybe they wouldn't
- 4:12Speaker 3: have tried the year before. Because they're not trying to,
- 4:14Speaker 3: like you said, be seventy five percent completion, not throw picks.
- 4:17Speaker 3: They can go and work on different things that might
- 4:20Speaker 3: not look good in a practice because they're trying something new,
- 4:23Speaker 3: but it's just something that's going to help both of
- 4:25Speaker 3: them develop as players. And there's freedom in that knowing
- 4:28Speaker 3: where you stand because again, if you're in a competition,
- 4:31Speaker 3: you're not trying like these daring throws. But right now
- 4:34Speaker 3: they can try to see what works and what doesn't work.
- 4:37Speaker 5: Yeah, it's definitely a difference out here, like you nailed it,
- 4:40Speaker 5: Like it looks completely different. Last year it was chuckdown
- 4:42Speaker 5: City and you know, look, obviously the one thing with
- 4:45Speaker 5: the first team offense is it has been a little
- 4:48Speaker 5: bit too condensed so far. But he's trying throws down
- 4:51Speaker 5: the field and so yeah, some of them are missing
- 4:53Speaker 5: right now, and you see definite timing issues with these guys.
- 4:56Speaker 2: But I like that. I want to see him have.
- 4:58Speaker 5: Timing issues going down the field to you know whoever,
- 5:01Speaker 5: to Jordan Tyson.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I want to see.
- 5:03Speaker 5: I actually like the fact that him and Jordan Tyson
- 5:05Speaker 5: aren't on the same page on that goal line route
- 5:07Speaker 5: where he cuts in and like Tyler's showing at the
- 5:10Speaker 5: wrong place because they can correct that. And that's the
- 5:12Speaker 5: cool thing about it, though, is you see the same
- 5:14Speaker 5: situations come up later on and they're completing the passes.
- 5:17Speaker 5: Rattler had one Shuck and Tyson had the miscommunication on
- 5:21Speaker 5: the one route and they came back and they hit
- 5:23Speaker 5: it another time.
- 5:24Speaker 2: For a score.
- 5:25Speaker 5: So like, those are good mistakes, and I think we
- 5:27Speaker 5: get too caught up in the oh, well, through four days,
- 5:30Speaker 5: they've only completed forty seven percent of the passes and
- 5:33Speaker 5: goal line or whatever in red zone, but who cares.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Like that's what training camps for, and I think being
- 5:39Speaker 5: on the other side of this actually allows for the growth.
- 5:41Speaker 5: So I think I think you nailed everything. We're kind
- 5:43Speaker 5: of seeing out here is that there's more freedom and
- 5:45Speaker 5: what they're doing. And while it might not lead to
- 5:48Speaker 5: you know, the best training camp stats contextually, when you're
- 5:51Speaker 5: actually watching it, I think you see progress happening right now.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Yesterday was a good day for the offense.
- 5:57Speaker 5: I am worried about red zone though, Like they've had
- 6:00Speaker 5: two red zone sessions and been terrible in it, and
- 6:02Speaker 5: they were terrible in the red zone last year. So
- 6:04Speaker 5: that's at least on like that list of possible worry things.
- 6:07Speaker 5: I don't know if I'm in a ten on the
- 6:08Speaker 5: warriometer right now, but it's it's on the list of
- 6:11Speaker 5: things to keep.
- 6:12Speaker 2: An eye on throughout camp.
- 6:13Speaker 5: But Yeah, it's definitely. It's definitely different removing this competition
- 6:17Speaker 5: from from the equation.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it is, and most training camps, whether it's college,
- 6:23Speaker 3: whether it's pro. And Richard and now we're talking about
- 6:25Speaker 3: this earlier in the show, it's like defense is going
- 6:28Speaker 3: to be ahead for the first week or two of
- 6:30Speaker 3: practice in most practices. Now often it's going to have
- 6:32Speaker 3: its days, it's going to have its periods. But it
- 6:34Speaker 3: does get you a little bit worried on what you
- 6:36Speaker 3: call it the warriometer if it is something you have
- 6:40Speaker 3: struggled with last season, and it's still kind of struggling
- 6:42Speaker 3: show in its head right now. So it's definitely something
- 6:44Speaker 3: to improve on, and a big way to improve that
- 6:47Speaker 3: is good wide receiver play. Now there's a lot of
- 6:49Speaker 3: like in the last week. If you want to talk
- 6:50Speaker 3: about wide receiver news as a lot happening with the Saints,
- 6:55Speaker 3: let's start with the top dog, Chris Alave. Finally, it's
- 6:58Speaker 3: the first time you've joined the show since sign in
- 7:00Speaker 3: his deal. Tell me did it kind of land on?
- 7:03Speaker 3: I think it happened maybe later the day that you
- 7:05Speaker 3: came on the show and talking about the numbers, and
- 7:07Speaker 3: it kind of ended up in between the two comps
- 7:09Speaker 3: that you were giving, which is London Drake London and
- 7:14Speaker 3: Garrett Wilson kind of fell in between those two numbers.
- 7:17Speaker 2: It actually ended up falling below Wilson with.
- 7:19Speaker 5: The real money, you know, the agent advertised money for
- 7:22Speaker 5: him above Wilson, and then when you actually see the
- 7:25Speaker 5: structure of it there there's a two million incentives that
- 7:29Speaker 5: would allow him to get from thirty one to thirty three,
- 7:31Speaker 5: and they're achievable incentives. They're basically last year's benchmarks on
- 7:34Speaker 5: the numbers across the board, but real money, you know,
- 7:38Speaker 5: going to him ends up at thirty one. So I
- 7:41Speaker 5: think he gave up a little bit, you know. I
- 7:43Speaker 5: think the Saints made him, you know. I think there's
- 7:45Speaker 5: a give and take there overall, because like when I
- 7:47Speaker 5: first heard it, I think they were around twenty nine.
- 7:50Speaker 5: Then he wanted to be above Garrett Wilson, and they
- 7:53Speaker 5: settle at thirty one with a chance to get there.
- 7:55Speaker 5: So I think they met in the middle there. I
- 7:56Speaker 5: think it's reflective of the injury stuff. When we see
- 7:59Speaker 5: the actual printed contract, like there's a summary right now
- 8:02Speaker 5: that you can get your hands on, like the actual
- 8:04Speaker 5: file to the league, like all clauses written out contract.
- 8:07Speaker 5: I think it'll be interesting to see if there's any
- 8:09Speaker 5: any type of injury protections in there as of right now,
- 8:13Speaker 5: Like there's a pretty nice injury guarantee, but there he
- 8:16Speaker 5: is there a carve out for you know, concussions or
- 8:19Speaker 5: like people sign injury waivers and stuff all the time.
- 8:21Speaker 5: So I don't know the exact details on what they
- 8:23Speaker 5: could get back if there was like an injury, but
- 8:26Speaker 5: I'm assuming there's probably something there.
- 8:28Speaker 2: But you know, I think it's fair. I think it's
- 8:31Speaker 2: probably fair.
- 8:32Speaker 5: If I'm Chris, I would have wanted to get strongly
- 8:34Speaker 5: ahead of Wilson.
- 8:35Speaker 2: But I think if you look at the.
- 8:36Speaker 5: Situation, I think it makes sense to make a concession,
- 8:38Speaker 5: lock in some security, get what do you get ninety
- 8:41Speaker 5: million guaranteed? Like I think that's a win for him,
- 8:44Speaker 5: and if he plays well, he gets over him.
- 8:46Speaker 2: So yeah, go ahead, Like it makes sense to me,
- 8:49Speaker 2: you know.
- 8:49Speaker 5: I think this thing's just gotta got to be protected.
- 8:51Speaker 5: When we see this actual contract written out, I'm sure
- 8:54Speaker 5: you know there's always there's also the blood clot issue.
- 8:57Speaker 5: That's not a football thing, so if that popped up,
- 8:58Speaker 5: I think that i'd be fine, the beaten on football,
- 9:01Speaker 5: but look, I guess, like you know, you've got an
- 9:04Speaker 5: injury history too, Like if you're going out there and
- 9:05Speaker 5: risking it, you got to be taken care of too
- 9:07Speaker 5: if something happens. So it'll be interesting to see if
- 9:09Speaker 5: if there's some type of like concession on both sides
- 9:12Speaker 5: on that issue when when we see the actual contract,
- 9:15Speaker 5: or was the total concession and just coming down below
- 9:17Speaker 5: Garrett Wilson and the money is guaranteed. That could be
- 9:19Speaker 5: another way to do it, But I think it's a
- 9:22Speaker 5: win for both sides. Man, Like Chris gets his money.
- 9:24Speaker 5: The Saints they got to you know, their offense is
- 9:27Speaker 5: locked up now for quite a while. And I like
- 9:30Speaker 5: the fact that him and and Tyson are on the
- 9:32Speaker 5: same trajectory. When Chris's contract expires, Jordan's will be expiring
- 9:37Speaker 5: at the same time, So you just move the money
- 9:40Speaker 5: over to the other guy and you know, go out
- 9:42Speaker 5: and draft another one maybe, like maybe that's how you
- 9:44Speaker 5: go forward if things are working out. So I think
- 9:46Speaker 5: they're in a good place, like as far as team
- 9:48Speaker 5: building with all that.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Yea, I got a hard time believing that any agent
- 9:52Speaker 3: worth his salt is going to let a client sign
- 9:55Speaker 3: a contract that is guaranteed for injury except concussions, even
- 9:58Speaker 3: if there's a prior history. I mean, that's football, like
- 10:01Speaker 3: it happens, right, So got a hard time believing that's
- 10:05Speaker 3: gonna happen.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Austin Cally had one, but like man, that was like
- 10:08Speaker 5: a lot of you know, a lot of concussions. But
- 10:10Speaker 5: by the end of his career, he saw him one
- 10:12Speaker 5: with the forty nine ers in the Patriots, I would
- 10:14Speaker 5: have to like, I think the concession if I'm guessing
- 10:17Speaker 5: it's just that they came down a little bit on
- 10:19Speaker 5: the money and met there and he got strong guarantees.
- 10:22Speaker 5: And you know, the way he's kind of set up
- 10:24Speaker 5: is a full guarantee kicks in and you know that
- 10:26Speaker 5: more money kicks in year two, year three, So like
- 10:29Speaker 5: there's some stuff there too. If you've got an injury
- 10:31Speaker 5: and you aren't performing at the same level, like there
- 10:33Speaker 5: there would be an escape hatch, you know. So so
- 10:37Speaker 5: the full guarantee, he doesn't get to the full ninety
- 10:39Speaker 5: until year three. I'm guessing that's probably what he's gonna
- 10:42Speaker 5: end up being. But you know, there's always a chance
- 10:44Speaker 5: for his surprise. But you know, Drew Rosenhos is a
- 10:47Speaker 5: pretty strong agent.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Like I don't.
- 10:49Speaker 5: I don't think he got beat here, so so yeah,
- 10:51Speaker 5: I think you're probably right.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean that's that's the rule of thumb for organization.
- 10:55Speaker 3: If you want to pay less per year, you got
- 10:56Speaker 3: to give more and guarantees, and certainly he got a
- 10:58Speaker 3: nice little guarantee there. Of congratulations to Chris and the
- 11:02Speaker 3: Saints too. I mean, and you look at way things
- 11:04Speaker 3: that the right way to do this whole situation from
- 11:08Speaker 3: a hold in instead of a holdout, from the Saints
- 11:10Speaker 3: being okay with it and the community. Everything was done
- 11:12Speaker 3: the right way. So cudos to both Congress, to both sides.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Let's how's Jordan Tyson looking? He looks looks the part.
- 11:19Speaker 3: I know we had concerns in the off season. This
- 11:22Speaker 3: uh through almost a week in training camp, are you
- 11:26Speaker 3: noticing anything? Is he favored anything, has he been held
- 11:29Speaker 3: out or has he been a full go?
- 11:31Speaker 5: The only thing he's been held out of was one
- 11:33Speaker 5: on ones yesterday, so like, and I know I've yeah,
- 11:38Speaker 5: I mean, he practiced after it. I've talked to their guy,
- 11:41Speaker 5: Ted rat At, the strength and conditioning guy, and he
- 11:43Speaker 5: has a lot of thoughts about those drills in particular
- 11:46Speaker 5: being hot spots for injuries because you're one on one,
- 11:49Speaker 5: you're on camera, you're going out there, there's the field
- 11:52Speaker 5: stretched out like so I think it's just playing it safe,
- 11:54Speaker 5: making sure he didn't try to do too much pop something,
- 11:57Speaker 5: and you know, just kind of running a.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Wide open field. Like I said, I think it's been.
- 12:01Speaker 5: A work in progress chemistry wise, I don't think it's
- 12:04Speaker 5: anywhere near where it's gonna finish. I think you see
- 12:07Speaker 5: the the unbelievable ability though, like just every every time
- 12:11Speaker 5: he runs her out, like he's an amazing route runner.
- 12:13Speaker 5: We tweeted out this clip like him and Chris running
- 12:15Speaker 5: the same route and it's kind of like the same
- 12:17Speaker 5: speed and they get there in the same duration of time.
- 12:20Speaker 5: But like you just see the fluidity in his movement,
- 12:22Speaker 5: like next to another guy that has great fluidity in
- 12:25Speaker 5: his movement, and Jordan Tyson looks different and he's, yeah,
- 12:29Speaker 5: I'm excited about what he's gonna be able to do.
- 12:31Speaker 5: Is starting to come together. Him and Chuck got to
- 12:33Speaker 5: get on the same page. Like he didn't practice the
- 12:35Speaker 5: whole time, Like it makes sense, like he's five practices
- 12:37Speaker 5: into his NFL career, but you see where it's going. Man,
- 12:40Speaker 5: like that their weapons. If everything clicks. I mean, I
- 12:44Speaker 5: think this can be a really really good group of players.
- 12:47Speaker 5: And I think he's gonna be. I think he's gonna
- 12:49Speaker 5: be a great player. One of the things I like
- 12:50Speaker 5: the best. I was rewatching practice last night and they
- 12:54Speaker 5: had this screen pass to h hm and he's out
- 12:58Speaker 5: there just like throwing blocks, like he's like like just full,
- 13:01Speaker 5: like full.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Like Kamikazi and the Sanker on it.
- 13:04Speaker 5: Like, you know, I don't think it was the technic
- 13:06Speaker 5: most technically sound block in the world, but like the
- 13:09Speaker 5: willingness to do it as a wide receiver, like you
- 13:11Speaker 5: know that that's number one. Some guys have it, some
- 13:13Speaker 5: guys don't. And he's willing to do it, so, you know,
- 13:15Speaker 5: I think that's a good thing too. So I'm encouraged
- 13:17Speaker 5: about where he's had it.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll stay stay with a wide receiver. And just
- 13:22Speaker 3: because there's been news with that, jaln Poult decides to retire.
- 13:26Speaker 3: He was drafted in twenty twenty four. It's always surprising
- 13:29Speaker 3: and you don't spend a lot of time on it
- 13:30Speaker 3: because I don't I don't know what kind of impact
- 13:32Speaker 3: he would have had or maybe it was a big impact.
- 13:35Speaker 3: I know he's a second second round pick, so like
- 13:38Speaker 3: did that What was the thoughts around the Saints camp
- 13:42Speaker 3: when Joel Bowl decided to hang it out?
- 13:44Speaker 5: Pretty surprised, you know, I think I think he was
- 13:47Speaker 5: probably in line to maybe be fourth wide receiver. You know,
- 13:50Speaker 5: Barran Brown and Bryce Flans are both playing well though,
- 13:53Speaker 5: so you know who knows, you know, Jellen Polk, like
- 13:57Speaker 5: that was kind of the issue in New England. There's
- 13:59Speaker 5: just like a little bit of uh, you know, I
- 14:01Speaker 5: just I just think he had trouble. I don't I
- 14:06Speaker 5: don't know how to say it, Like, I just think
- 14:07Speaker 5: he had trouble, you know, just just handling adversity up there,
- 14:10Speaker 5: and I don't think there's a lot of adversity here,
- 14:12Speaker 5: but I just I just think maybe he felt, like
- 14:15Speaker 5: my understanding of is I just feel like maybe he
- 14:17Speaker 5: felt like he'd be happier as a human being removing
- 14:20Speaker 5: football from his life, which you know, power to him,
- 14:23Speaker 5: because most people wouldn't do that.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Most people would you know, stick in it.
- 14:27Speaker 5: And there's a lot of guys that play this game
- 14:29Speaker 5: that don't like this game, and they do it just
- 14:31Speaker 5: because they can make a lot of money. You know,
- 14:33Speaker 5: credit to him for for having the stress to do that.
- 14:35Speaker 5: Like I I think that takes a lot of courage
- 14:38Speaker 5: to walk away from an NFL career. And you know,
- 14:40Speaker 5: he did it to you know, for my understanding, because
- 14:42Speaker 5: I think he thinks it'll make him a happier person.
- 14:44Speaker 3: So yeah, them, it's hard for a young man to
- 14:49Speaker 3: come to that realization. So you're seeing more and more
- 14:51Speaker 3: people do that, and a lot of times just because
- 14:54Speaker 3: of injury or they don't they've had concussions and they
- 14:57Speaker 3: don't want to take it to the next.
- 14:58Speaker 6: One of the hardest sports to play once you mentally
- 15:00Speaker 6: don't want to be there. Yeah, it's like getting up
- 15:02Speaker 6: to go through that grind every day. Yeah, I got
- 15:04Speaker 6: my second year. I've had two knee surgeries. In my mind,
- 15:08Speaker 6: like trying to talk myself into the rain. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:11Speaker 6: it gets really tough.
- 15:13Speaker 5: So yeah, ninety eight degrees out there too. We'll accelerate
- 15:17Speaker 5: that a little bit too.
- 15:18Speaker 3: And so this is going to leave the door open
- 15:21Speaker 3: a little bit more for maybe more playing for let's
- 15:24Speaker 3: very unbrown that obviously, unless you fans are going to
- 15:27Speaker 3: want to know, like what's his been what's been his
- 15:29Speaker 3: role we do and punt, kickoff returns at is he's
- 15:31Speaker 3: shining at the wide receiver position. I know I've seen
- 15:33Speaker 3: some clips that you've posted.
- 15:35Speaker 5: Yeah all that, but yeah, the shining at wide receiver
- 15:38Speaker 5: is like the the exciting part. Like, I think he's
- 15:42Speaker 5: something they need to get on the field. He's definitely
- 15:45Speaker 5: man His ability to track the ball in the air,
- 15:46Speaker 5: like it is something that that stands out, you know,
- 15:48Speaker 5: obviously you know punt re turning all the stuff.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Probably else so like he's you.
- 15:51Speaker 5: Know, good at balls over he's looking can get over
- 15:53Speaker 5: the other shoulder like some young guys that are six
- 15:56Speaker 5: round picks. Like you see him struggle with stuff like that,
- 15:58Speaker 5: and it's the adjustments. It's still learning from. Okay, this
- 16:01Speaker 5: didn't work, and then they come back to it and
- 16:02Speaker 5: it does work. I think he's earning a role on
- 16:05Speaker 5: offense man, Like I don't think he's just going to
- 16:07Speaker 5: be a returner.
- 16:08Speaker 2: It might be a.
- 16:09Speaker 5: Specialized role, you know, small small package of plays or something,
- 16:13Speaker 5: but I think there's a lot he can do. And
- 16:15Speaker 5: I think he provides versatility too with like the ball
- 16:17Speaker 5: in his hands. So I think on you know some
- 16:19Speaker 5: of these these you know, get him the ball, get
- 16:21Speaker 5: him in motion, pitch them the ball. Like, I think
- 16:23Speaker 5: there's a lot of stuff you can do with him
- 16:25Speaker 5: just to get him the ball in the open field.
- 16:26Speaker 5: I think they're gonna do it. Like we've seen a
- 16:28Speaker 5: little bit of creativity there going back to OTAs a
- 16:32Speaker 5: mini camp, and they're building on it. So I think
- 16:34Speaker 5: he's forcing them to find more ways to utilize him
- 16:38Speaker 5: and get a look at him. And he was with
- 16:40Speaker 5: the third team. He's firmly with the second team now
- 16:43Speaker 5: every day of practice, So I think he's moving up
- 16:45Speaker 5: and I think I think he's opening some eyes for sure.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I got talent. He could have a very bright future.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Let's start. This is going to be our last one
- 16:54Speaker 3: for you, but I'm gonna stick with the off offensive
- 16:56Speaker 3: side of the ball. Sorry, defense levers out there, it's
- 16:59Speaker 3: me asking question. So we're gonna ask about what really matters,
- 17:01Speaker 3: which is offense. Let's go to the offensive line. Obviously
- 17:04Speaker 3: a big a week, part of the week, part of
- 17:07Speaker 3: the team last year and in a lot of games,
- 17:09Speaker 3: and they found ways to win at the end, but
- 17:12Speaker 3: still had to improve the offensive line in the.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Off seas in which they did the addition to David Edwards.
- 17:17Speaker 3: So be careful of offensive line reports early on in
- 17:21Speaker 3: training camp. But from a like, how's the depth chart
- 17:24Speaker 3: looking what's the first rotation looking like? And have you
- 17:26Speaker 3: seen anything that flashed one way or the other from
- 17:29Speaker 3: the offensive line?
- 17:30Speaker 5: Yeah, one day at pad, So like, these are going
- 17:32Speaker 5: to be extremely hot takes that.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I'm gonna regret saying we're gonna hold you to him.
- 17:39Speaker 5: Well, these are Ruiz isn't out there. He just he
- 17:41Speaker 5: just welcomed the child. So he's mist like the last
- 17:44Speaker 5: three days of practice. So Dylan Raiden's has been playing
- 17:46Speaker 5: in his spot has looked okay. But that's created an
- 17:49Speaker 5: opportunity for Jeremiah right the fourth round pick out of Auburn,
- 17:53Speaker 5: to play with the second team.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Yesterday it was the first day and pads. They did
- 17:56Speaker 2: one on ones.
- 17:58Speaker 5: I thought, I thought, I thought he excellent, Like I was.
- 18:01Speaker 5: I was really surprised by how well he played because
- 18:03Speaker 5: he was a former defensive tackle he moved over to
- 18:05Speaker 5: offensive line. You watch college tape like that, there's some
- 18:08Speaker 5: some stuff where you would expect some ronis and maybe
- 18:10Speaker 5: that shows up on day two of pads because We've
- 18:12Speaker 5: only seen like twelve snaps, but he looked pretty good.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Man.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Like I was, I was impressed with where he's at,
- 18:17Speaker 5: and I think he could be, you know, competitive as
- 18:20Speaker 5: a a depth player. You know, I think he's probably
- 18:22Speaker 5: still a year away from actually challenging for anything, but
- 18:25Speaker 5: I see the vision with him for sure. You Know,
- 18:28Speaker 5: Tally and Banks look exactly the same. David Edwards is
- 18:32Speaker 5: at as advertised. Eric McCoy looks great, which isn't a surprise,
- 18:37Speaker 5: but you know, back healthy, missed seven games last year,
- 18:39Speaker 5: came back, doesn't look like he's missed a beat. So
- 18:41Speaker 5: I think it's just kind of as expected with those
- 18:44Speaker 5: guys in the top unit. Simpkins is getting a good
- 18:47Speaker 5: amount of work as the second team center. You see
- 18:50Speaker 5: the growth with him, So he's someone that I would
- 18:51Speaker 5: expect to be, you know, on the team is depth
- 18:54Speaker 5: to and then you know, just some of the other
- 18:56Speaker 5: guys like Austin Richards and them, Like, I think it's
- 18:59Speaker 5: still kind of the same group of guys.
- 19:00Speaker 2: No major surprises really after that first.
- 19:02Speaker 5: Day and then just kind of flipping it over, like
- 19:05Speaker 5: Vernon Broughton is somebody else defensively that you know, Brazi's out,
- 19:08Speaker 5: I would highlight him as someone that's going to stand
- 19:10Speaker 5: out in camp and especially first day at pads. Looked
- 19:14Speaker 5: really good on one on ones, has some good rushes
- 19:16Speaker 5: in team. So nothing really out of the ordinary though
- 19:20Speaker 5: with the offensive line. But I think I think they,
- 19:22Speaker 5: you know, it's staying healthy. Like if Eric's out there,
- 19:24Speaker 5: I think they go to another level. I really think
- 19:25Speaker 5: it all kind of just inges on that.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like it's from top to bottom. I think
- 19:29Speaker 3: the first string, the first level of starters can compete
- 19:33Speaker 3: with anybody in the league. It's just when you start
- 19:35Speaker 3: getting to that depth position at the depth is where
- 19:38Speaker 3: the flaws probably show in the roster. So gotta stay
- 19:41Speaker 3: healthy and we'll see how that goes.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Nick.
- 19:44Speaker 3: We appreciate your time as always, looking forward to following
- 19:47Speaker 3: you on the Socials and seeing more more camp reports,
- 19:50Speaker 3: camp highlights, and uh, we appreciate your time. Yeah, take
- 19:53Speaker 3: it easy, guys, all right, have fun today. All right,
- 19:56Speaker 3: there is Nick Underhill, y'all go check him out online
- 20:00Speaker 3: on the Socials. He is doing doing the good.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Work out there.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Him and Ross Jackson do a great job of reporting
- 20:07Speaker 3: to us and Ross Wood losing our sports dot net
- 20:10Speaker 3: and so we we appreciate their time. So go check
- 20:13Speaker 3: it out. A lot to be positive and excited for
- 20:15Speaker 3: with the Saints. How high is that ceiling we'll find out,
- 20:17Speaker 3: and how healthy can they stay? Is really going to
- 20:19Speaker 3: dictate where that ceiling is going to be.
- 20:20Speaker 6: So yeah, great, I forgot ted Roth was there. He
- 20:26Speaker 6: was our assistants drink coach in Detroit.
- 20:28Speaker 4: Oh nice.
- 20:29Speaker 3: All right, Well, well we'll get more stories from old
- 20:32Speaker 3: Dick Dixon right over here when we come back.
- 20:34Speaker 4: And off the bench. After bench I go to Central.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Plumbing Plumbing Dot or Richard know a little bit about
- 20:40Speaker 3: Central Plumbing. The Pain's the Pain family, been doing it
- 20:43Speaker 3: a long time, third generation company, and they are the

- 21:03Speaker 3: they've helped, whether it's just a random leak or maybe
- 21:06Speaker 3: it's installing a new gas line for a tankless water heater,
- 21:11Speaker 3: no big deal, they never run out of hot water again.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Or maybe it's such a place of business. They took
- 21:15Speaker 3: a warehouse that was four walls and a roof and
- 21:20Speaker 3: they turned into a full blown food and beverage manufacturer facility.
- 21:22Speaker 3: For me, we're talking water lines, gas lines, extended the
- 21:25Speaker 3: water pressure. They've done it all and uh they really
- 21:28Speaker 3: there's nothing too big, there's nothing too small. They also
- 21:30Speaker 3: have twenty four to seven emergency service. So you got
- 21:32Speaker 3: a problem, they will solve it. Go to Central Plumbing

- 22:21Speaker 3: appreciate it.
- 22:21Speaker 6: Is this the co host chair only because I'm over here,
- 22:25Speaker 6: but I mean that's usually the host chairs chair, and
- 22:27Speaker 6: I hate it because I want to sit over there. Yeah,
- 22:29Speaker 6: way more comfortable. I don't want to sit on that side, No, sir,
- 22:32Speaker 6: I got like a leen. Myleen would have to go
- 22:35Speaker 6: opposite weird ninety percent of the time I'm here. This
- 22:38Speaker 6: is where he says, true, that's true.
- 22:41Speaker 3: You know, it's not weird by Automotive like well, like
- 22:45Speaker 3: the opposite of weird. They're awesome. That's what they are.
- 22:48Speaker 3: By automotive, By automotive dot com. If you were in
- 22:50Speaker 3: the market for a new car, if you're just driving
- 22:52Speaker 3: around and like an old clunker and you're like this
- 22:54Speaker 3: this car stanks. I need I need something new. Well,
- 22:57Speaker 3: maybe it's a brand new vehicle, maybe it's a used vehicle.
- 23:00Speaker 3: But you're gonna want to work with buy Automotive because
- 23:03Speaker 3: they got tons of different makes, tons of different models,

- 23:34Speaker 3: wife's car back to me today.
- 23:35Speaker 6: I should have talked to you. Had to bring my
- 23:36Speaker 6: wife's car to the shop yesterday. Huh, buy the automotive
- 23:39Speaker 6: they were just gonna picked it up. They make things
- 23:41Speaker 6: easy the whole process. They are the best buyo automotive
- 23:44Speaker 6: dot com.
- 23:44Speaker 8: They made which is which tough to do, tough to do,
- 23:49Speaker 8: especially to the kids.
- 23:50Speaker 4: Yeah, those black widow paths.
- 23:51Speaker 9: Yeah, he came in saying dead ass.
- 23:55Speaker 4: His vocabulary change.
- 23:56Speaker 3: He was with one car, he was eming or farming.
- 24:02Speaker 6: Is black widow? I heard y'all say black widow the
- 24:04Speaker 6: other day. No, I've heard it like five times more
- 24:07Speaker 6: than just a spider.
- 24:08Speaker 4: But it's a package, just like it's like a package
- 24:13Speaker 4: you can do, like you can do like a King
- 24:15Speaker 4: Ranch package.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Well, they have like a black Widow backge that not
- 24:17Speaker 3: everybody can do, but their license to do that package
- 24:20Speaker 3: over there by the automotive.
- 24:22Speaker 9: In the chat said, they've been bringing your wife's car
- 24:25Speaker 9: back since Thursday.
- 24:27Speaker 4: Oh, well there was a few things wrong with that day. Yeah.
- 24:31Speaker 8: They're just back and forth. That's how much they care though.
- 24:34Speaker 4: Yeah, but the communications been unbelievable. But you still got
- 24:38Speaker 4: a King Ranch. Yeah, I missed my King Ranch. No
- 24:41Speaker 4: I don't. I got the I got the trimmer.
- 24:45Speaker 8: Actually, this is what Jake's driving around.
- 24:49Speaker 4: I can't even see Jake driving a truck.
- 24:51Speaker 10: Well, he had the black Widow G before I've switched
- 24:54Speaker 10: to this one.
- 24:55Speaker 4: He's always been a charger guy. It's time. It's time
- 25:01Speaker 4: to talk about some real news.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Oh Aaron Aaron Rogers as a bad man.
- 25:10Speaker 4: Yeah, quoted from Stephen A. Smith.
- 25:14Speaker 3: I'm sure a lot of y'all, if y'all have social
- 25:16Speaker 3: media and if you don't live under a rock. I
- 25:18Speaker 3: saw it this morning. Know the scrutiny that Aaron Rodgers received,
- 25:23Speaker 3: specifically during the COVID situation. Now, a lot of this
- 25:25Speaker 3: self imposed we do a darkness retreat, we do the
- 25:28Speaker 3: ayahuasca stuff like, stuff that people can't really relate to.
- 25:32Speaker 3: He was out there, but the most criticism he received
- 25:36Speaker 3: from media was during the COVID time.
- 25:38Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Well, he has always looked at in the face and spoke,
- 25:44Speaker 3: spoke in his mind. Whether you agree with him or not,
- 25:46Speaker 3: it doesn't really matter. It's always refreshing when an athlete
- 25:50Speaker 3: speaks what's on their mind. Now, they open themselves up
- 25:54Speaker 3: to a lot of criticism, which he certainly does. But
- 25:56Speaker 3: a lot of athletes too. But in a world that
- 25:59Speaker 3: like forever, it's man, these athletes are so boring. I
- 26:02Speaker 3: was born in the media. We're all there's only certain
- 26:05Speaker 3: people that say Yeah, there's only certain people, and the
- 26:08Speaker 3: athletes don't say a lot traditionally, and when it is
- 26:11Speaker 3: we're always like, man, I want them to say more.
- 26:13Speaker 4: But when they do, pooh pooh on it.
- 26:16Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Uh, Well, he's opened his mind and given his opinions,
- 26:19Speaker 3: and he hadn't been wrong about anything. I mean, you
- 26:22Speaker 3: could probably find some clips that he's been wrong about something, okay,
- 26:25Speaker 3: but like, he hadn't been wrong about a lot, and
- 26:27Speaker 3: he took the pat mcavvie show yesterday, which was in Pittsburgh,
- 26:31Speaker 3: and took advantage of his time on air. On the
- 26:34Speaker 3: Pat mcavee showed that he knew wasn't gonna just rush
- 26:37Speaker 3: to break.
- 26:39Speaker 8: He said, we got four minutes till the heart out.
- 26:42Speaker 3: He walked on stage and asked, while he's walking up,
- 26:45Speaker 3: how much time we got and passed eight minutes to
- 26:47Speaker 3: all the heart out, and he listened to one question
- 26:53Speaker 3: and decided to say, I plead the fifth, obviously a
- 26:55Speaker 3: tip of the cap to mister Fauci, and then decided
- 26:58Speaker 3: to take eight minutes Tony. He said eight minutes on
- 27:05Speaker 3: an absolute rant, doing an absolute victory dance over the
- 27:10Speaker 3: things that he was criticized of, and of course calling
- 27:12Speaker 3: Fauci a coward and pleading the fifth and saying, you know,
- 27:15Speaker 3: quoting all this stuff about you fout saying he was
- 27:18Speaker 3: science blah blah blah.
- 27:20Speaker 4: Well you also like, if you're.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Taking that and you're like, oh, why is he saying
- 27:23Speaker 3: all this, Well you also have to look at what
- 27:25Speaker 3: they said about Aaron during that time.
- 27:26Speaker 4: He said your network, He said your network.
- 27:28Speaker 3: He said they people called me a murderer, like at
- 27:32Speaker 3: the time because I made a personal choice to not
- 27:37Speaker 3: get vaccinized.
- 27:38Speaker 8: Vaccine.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Well, I was sinking because he said, I'm immunized.
- 27:42Speaker 8: Did I give that that's right?
- 27:45Speaker 3: And so he made these personal choices that of course
- 27:47Speaker 3: because of his position, he was out in the news
- 27:50Speaker 3: for well, he just did an absolute victory.
- 27:53Speaker 4: How much time do they call covering me? Yeah? He
- 27:56Speaker 4: called out ESPN.
- 27:57Speaker 6: On ESPN, he said how much time you don't see
- 27:59Speaker 6: him talk about exactly?
- 28:01Speaker 3: He said, how much do you spend on my responses
- 28:04Speaker 3: every single week? And then he did he called out
- 28:06Speaker 3: Resining in rabel situation.
- 28:08Speaker 9: I'm like, this is like she covers the sport at
- 28:11Speaker 9: the highest level and nobody says anything about it.
- 28:13Speaker 8: Like he was on he was on.
- 28:15Speaker 11: One well and brought up like she's allowed to vote
- 28:17Speaker 11: for Coach of the Year, she's allowed to vote for MVP.
- 28:20Speaker 11: She has He's like, she has the power to do
- 28:22Speaker 11: all of these things. He's like, and they don't cover
- 28:24Speaker 11: that at all.
- 28:24Speaker 3: It would be funny like people are like that were
- 28:27Speaker 3: they don't release we can't see who everybody voted for.
- 28:30Speaker 3: But I think I think Ben Johnson was Coach of
- 28:33Speaker 3: the Year last year. I think he received thirty of
- 28:36Speaker 3: the thirty two votes, and they're like, if she's not
- 28:38Speaker 3: one of the ones, yeah, get the the other yeah, exactly,
- 28:42Speaker 3: Like and that's a really good point. MVP is a
- 28:44Speaker 3: big deal for people financially. Coach of the Year is
- 28:47Speaker 3: a big thing deal for people financially. If that was
- 28:50Speaker 3: part of you know, you never It's all speculation, but
- 28:54Speaker 3: it's good speculation, because what did we tell in the
- 28:56Speaker 3: last two days of yesterday and I think Friday things
- 29:00Speaker 3: we brought up. We said, ESPN get your stuff together? Yeah,
- 29:04Speaker 3: and we said why are nobody talking about Diane Rassini?
- 29:09Speaker 3: And I was like, is Aaron an honorary member of
- 29:11Speaker 3: the Wolf Pat? He is my god? But I think
- 29:14Speaker 3: what you will about Aaron and his lifestyle and whatever.
- 29:17Speaker 6: I know. When Pat called him, We're going to do
- 29:20Speaker 6: the show, he said, he was like, I get everything ready, yeah, exactly.
- 29:25Speaker 11: In the palace playing the carter where he's like, and
- 29:27Speaker 11: on your network, he goes, it's not my network.
- 29:29Speaker 4: Were here?
- 29:30Speaker 3: Pat kept trying to move the conversation along and Aarons
- 29:32Speaker 3: and another thing and another thing.
- 29:35Speaker 10: The fans in the back were loving it too.
- 29:38Speaker 9: I'll say they like agree or disagree with Aaron Rodgers
- 29:42Speaker 9: or whatever. I fully respect that he lives his truth,
- 29:47Speaker 9: like he just ye like says whatever he wants. Everybody,
- 29:50Speaker 9: like you think it's weird that he goes on these
- 29:52Speaker 9: ayahuasca retreats and all this stuff, and you think it's
- 29:55Speaker 9: strange and Shale Woodley and all that. But I love
- 29:58Speaker 9: that he's just so him self about it. I respect
- 30:01Speaker 9: anybody that can go against the grain and like stand
- 30:04Speaker 9: on business and just be who they are no matter
- 30:06Speaker 9: what they say about you.
- 30:08Speaker 10: Uniquely him the quarterback act.
- 30:11Speaker 6: Who's been doing ayahuasca and they hit it, they want
- 30:14Speaker 6: to talk about it, about it, and he comes down,
- 30:16Speaker 6: He's like, hell, yeah.
- 30:17Speaker 4: I do it. Yeah.
- 30:18Speaker 3: He just speaks as true that he doesn't sugarcoat anything.
- 30:21Speaker 3: And yeah, he can come off brash sometimes, especially to
- 30:25Speaker 3: the media, because he's brashed the people that want something
- 30:28Speaker 3: from him, right, And at that position, you're very guarded
- 30:31Speaker 3: because you got to think first and foremost. Everybody wants
- 30:33Speaker 3: something from you. And and I understand, and look, I'm
- 30:38Speaker 3: I'm close with him. I love the guy. I've been
- 30:41Speaker 3: on them a long time. He taught me a lot.
- 30:42Speaker 3: He was the reason why I improved as a quarterback,
- 30:44Speaker 3: and I owe a lot to him, and I'll always
- 30:48Speaker 3: have his back. But I also, on the other hand,
- 30:50Speaker 3: I understand the criticism at times that comes with with
- 30:54Speaker 3: how he presents himself, and he's made things a little
- 30:57Speaker 3: bit more difficult sometimes and then he probably could have
- 31:00Speaker 3: or should have, but he speaks his truth and he
- 31:05Speaker 3: hadn't been wrong on a whole lot of things. He said, like,
- 31:08Speaker 3: you've criticized him a lot. He said, Okay, this is
- 31:12Speaker 3: his quote. Fauci is a criminal. Okay. He said COVID
- 31:16Speaker 3: was made.
- 31:17Speaker 8: In a lab in China against humanity.
- 31:20Speaker 3: And he said yeah, and he said I'm good, like
- 31:22Speaker 3: I'm on good terms with my family. He said, what
- 31:24Speaker 3: are you gonna come at me with now? Like what?
- 31:26Speaker 4: Like, sure, what's the wife?
- 31:27Speaker 2: Aaron?
- 31:28Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 31:29Speaker 9: Literally, the wife is like the one thing that's funny.
- 31:31Speaker 11: He actually casually dropped the something about the wife the
- 31:34Speaker 11: other day.
- 31:35Speaker 10: First day, He's like, yeah, me and the wife, you know,
- 31:37Speaker 10: we Like he was saying that.
- 31:39Speaker 9: His wife was like the reason he reconciled with his
- 31:41Speaker 9: family or whatever.
- 31:43Speaker 8: To Brittany's never seen her.
- 31:47Speaker 4: So look, I thought it was awesome.
- 31:48Speaker 3: I was like texting now immedia, like did Y'll just
- 31:51Speaker 3: see that it was awesome, and.
- 31:52Speaker 8: Then I saw it and I was like, no, you're right,
- 31:54Speaker 8: it was awesome.
- 31:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it was awesome.
- 31:55Speaker 3: But a lot of times I overreacted, like Matt, that
- 31:58Speaker 3: wasn't that cool? That was that was that was pretty cool.
- 32:01Speaker 3: And to call out the network on the network call
- 32:03Speaker 3: out ra seeing it a whole it was a crime
- 32:06Speaker 3: against humanity exactly. So four minutes, I can go another
- 32:13Speaker 3: forur Minutesah, I can go another form minutes. Oh yeah,
- 32:15Speaker 3: it ends here and we still go on YouTube. I'll
- 32:17Speaker 3: keep going on that tube. Yeah, pretty much.
- 32:19Speaker 4: It was.
- 32:19Speaker 3: It was great. All right, that's enough, We'll get off
- 32:22Speaker 3: our soapbox. But that was awesome. So if you haven't
- 32:24Speaker 3: watched it, go watch them. Yeah, before we go to

- 33:35Speaker 3: We got two more segments here on off the Bench,
- 33:38Speaker 3: so stick with us for the next thirty minutes or so.
- 33:40Speaker 4: Right here on off the.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Bench, Off the Bench Speak Off the Bench with Jacob
- 33:51Speaker 1: Pester and Matt Flynn presenting it by Community Steel.
- 33:57Speaker 2: You know why.
- 34:00Speaker 4: Trust that need take them up the hood? People look
- 34:02Speaker 4: at good.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Alright looking back here, Richie Dick Dixon.
- 34:11Speaker 6: The clean version of the song was hard to catch.
- 34:13Speaker 6: The very first part of that not one original word.
- 34:16Speaker 8: Was in the two thousands.
- 34:20Speaker 3: In the two thousands, the person that censored a lot
- 34:22Speaker 3: of the rap songs might have been the highest paid
- 34:24Speaker 3: person in music because he did some work.
- 34:28Speaker 6: How hard of this to find like clean version of
- 34:30Speaker 6: new songs. I strutted with it because my son listens
- 34:33Speaker 6: to a lot of this newer stuff and now I
- 34:36Speaker 6: listened to them, WHOA, that's rough, and I try to
- 34:40Speaker 6: get on YouTube and look for a clean version out there.
- 34:43Speaker 3: I guess the I don't know, that's a good question.
- 34:46Speaker 3: I guess not all music goes because they cuss on
- 34:48Speaker 3: TV now. I mean like there's used to be so
- 34:51Speaker 3: restricted with this stuff, and now I just feel like
- 34:53Speaker 3: nobody spends the time to.
- 34:57Speaker 4: The radio edit version.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a that's an interesting in point, huh. I
- 35:03Speaker 3: guess you can say just about anything. It's tough, Like
- 35:06Speaker 3: we push the limits here sometimes and sometimes you know,
- 35:09Speaker 3: word slips out. I guess we're not supposed to technically say, it's.
- 35:12Speaker 10: More of a guest thing here.
- 35:14Speaker 8: Yeah, the guess come on here and they let it fly.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Because the guests are used to to that point. The
- 35:22Speaker 3: guests are used to going on podcasts and then they
- 35:24Speaker 3: have they come on here where you limited on the
- 35:27Speaker 3: words that you can say.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Now you can say some. You just can't celebrate it.
- 35:31Speaker 4: But yeah, usually it was.
- 35:33Speaker 6: An accidental thing for me, Like, it's really hard doing
- 35:36Speaker 6: the postgame shows. I'm actually pissed off in a moment
- 35:40Speaker 6: and I start stuttering because I'm trying not to say
- 35:42Speaker 6: certain words.
- 35:43Speaker 3: And not to bring up a show two segments in
- 35:45Speaker 3: a row. But the introduction to the Pat McAfee show
- 35:48Speaker 3: is really great, where they it's the warning beforehand. We
- 35:51Speaker 3: do say if you're young, please you know, ask a parents.
- 35:54Speaker 8: You should do that. For TV, we.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Say curse words because that's how humans in the real world.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Do you say curse words or cuss words? Cause cuss words? Okay?
- 36:07Speaker 3: I think I think because I think everybody's yeah, we're
- 36:10Speaker 3: all in agreeance that it's usually when someone says curse.
- 36:14Speaker 4: Why are you cursing at me? I kind of that.
- 36:17Speaker 4: I think, is it more country.
- 36:19Speaker 3: To say, cussing, Yeah, I would think so cursing is
- 36:23Speaker 3: more of the fancy pants waits.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Mean the same thing. I'm assuming, like swear words. Sounds like.
- 36:30Speaker 6: Your teacher like no swear words. Yeah, okay, speaking of
- 36:35Speaker 6: like no cuss words. I remember maybe it was No.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Six.
- 36:38Speaker 6: Yeah, it had been No. Six and Myles was telling
- 36:41Speaker 6: the coaches to cut back on it, and Jimbo was.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Like that, I don't think I can do that, coach.
- 36:49Speaker 4: That's just me.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Okay, So when you were going to tune into NFL
- 36:54Speaker 3: this year, do you cheer?
- 36:58Speaker 4: I'm not even gonna put words in your mouth who
- 37:00Speaker 4: you cheer for? Like, I like the Lions right now,
- 37:02Speaker 4: and it's not necessarily because I played there. I like
- 37:04Speaker 4: to watch ship. It's like people I know that are
- 37:06Speaker 4: involved in.
- 37:07Speaker 3: About to say the lines, but I didn't want to
- 37:09Speaker 3: feed that to you. No, it's like I fear just
- 37:11Speaker 3: because of shop I watched.
- 37:12Speaker 6: I watch the Rams a lot because I still like
- 37:14Speaker 6: watching Matt play. It's typically, you know, I don't have
- 37:17Speaker 6: a true fandom for any team. It's do I know
- 37:20Speaker 6: somebody on the team?
- 37:21Speaker 4: Do I know?
- 37:21Speaker 6: Do I have a relationship ship with somebody? And that's
- 37:23Speaker 6: kind of the games I watch, and like I love
- 37:26Speaker 6: watching you know, Joe Burrow and Pat Mahomes, Like I
- 37:29Speaker 6: typically watch the games that I think are gonna have
- 37:32Speaker 6: the most superstars in it, like the fun games. I'm
- 37:35Speaker 6: not watching just every Saints game, like a normal Saints fan.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Has has the.
- 37:42Speaker 3: All the craziness in college athletics, the bad schedule, the pay,
- 37:48Speaker 3: like the just the bs that comes to college has
- 37:51Speaker 3: that diluted your love for college athletics. And anyway, I
- 37:56Speaker 3: still love the game and I'm not going to miss
- 37:57Speaker 3: a game. But like we talked about earlier, like I
- 37:59Speaker 3: can name ten LSU players right now, fifteen, Like that
- 38:03Speaker 3: bothers me because I used to know everybody on the roster, right,
- 38:05Speaker 3: and like you knew the guys that were there, the guys,
- 38:07Speaker 3: the incoming freshmen. I look forward to seeing certain guys
- 38:10Speaker 3: how they progressed. Now it's just like are they They're
- 38:14Speaker 3: gonna be here next year?
- 38:14Speaker 4: Right?
- 38:15Speaker 3: So what do you get more excited to watch Saturday
- 38:17Speaker 3: or Sunday? Oh it's still Saturday, like a big l
- 38:20Speaker 3: s U game. Well yeah, sure, I mean that's not
- 38:22Speaker 3: the if you're gonna sit down and watch just random football,
- 38:29Speaker 3: are you watching random college games or are you watching
- 38:31Speaker 3: random NFL games? Because I every every NFL, every game
- 38:36Speaker 3: is pretty much random Saturday's.
- 38:38Speaker 6: We've got so much stuff going on with the kids.
- 38:39Speaker 6: Is like, if I'm going to plan something, if I'm
- 38:41Speaker 6: blocking out one game, it's gonna be the LSU game.
- 38:43Speaker 6: And there's other stuff I got going on, Like this year,
- 38:46Speaker 6: my son plays on Saturdays, and I'm really nervous that
- 38:49Speaker 6: it's gonna happen during an LSU game.
- 38:52Speaker 4: I don't know what I'm gonna do yet.
- 38:54Speaker 6: Sorry, I'm just gonna come home. I'm just gonna come
- 38:56Speaker 6: into handing and be like, hey, I didn't watch the
- 38:57Speaker 6: game of let's talk about it.
- 39:00Speaker 3: I was about to say, like, I know, I'm kind
- 39:02Speaker 3: of always been like where you're at, where I know
- 39:06Speaker 3: a handful of players.
- 39:08Speaker 4: I know their numbers better than their names.
- 39:09Speaker 3: Right, Because you don't follow, you don't get invested personally
- 39:12Speaker 3: with these with these guys because they're not like in
- 39:15Speaker 3: the NFL, you're you're you feel like you know them
- 39:17Speaker 3: a little bit more personally because it's they're more out
- 39:19Speaker 3: in the media like LSU. I don't think they are
- 39:21Speaker 3: quite as much unless you're following recruiting and following the
- 39:24Speaker 3: transfer portal. Their personalities aren't necessarily out there as much
- 39:29Speaker 3: as like NFL, so you don't the connection is not
- 39:32Speaker 3: quite there quite as much for me.
- 39:35Speaker 4: But at football season probably should learn a few more.
- 39:37Speaker 6: My favorite way to watch football on Sundays is Red Zone.
- 39:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 6: I love watching the red zone him because you're getting
- 39:45Speaker 6: all the highlights to key moments and good plays. Like
- 39:47Speaker 6: I can think of maybe one or two games last
- 39:50Speaker 6: year in the NFL I sat down and watch from
- 39:51Speaker 6: kickoff to the end of the game. But if I
- 39:54Speaker 6: must spend an hour and a half, I have the
- 39:56Speaker 6: split screen on one game that I want to see
- 39:57Speaker 6: on and then red Zone.
- 39:59Speaker 4: Yep.
- 39:59Speaker 3: All right, well y'all get your asked the bench questions
- 40:02Speaker 3: in we're gonna go to break now and we're gonna

- 42:12Speaker 3: But for right now, we're gonna get to a little
- 42:13Speaker 3: ass the bench brought to you by Ask Cold Delicious.
- 42:17Speaker 4: Do sekis you're supposed to go look blue? Yeah? So
- 42:23Speaker 4: what I'm talking about with the content the dog, it
- 42:30Speaker 4: was really good.
- 42:31Speaker 9: The first time Chris did it, he made eye contact
- 42:33Speaker 9: with you, I think, and then the second time he
- 42:35Speaker 9: looked down. But when he looked down, it looked like
- 42:38Speaker 9: he was nodding his head.
- 42:41Speaker 4: Just brought me through like my high school days with
- 42:44Speaker 4: the music today.
- 42:46Speaker 3: That's exactly right, all right, let's get to it all right,
- 42:49Speaker 3: Ask the bitch where to go?
- 42:51Speaker 2: Uh?
- 42:51Speaker 3: Will l s you run or more than past this year?
- 42:55Speaker 3: Well yeah, hopefully and link kiffin misconception is that he
- 42:59Speaker 3: likes to spread it out. Ain't got this air raid now?
- 43:01Speaker 3: Looking at twenty twenty five ole miss five hundred and
- 43:05Speaker 3: seventy six rushing attempts, five hundred and twenty three pass attempts.
- 43:08Speaker 11: So here's all I look at it, Matt. If you're
- 43:10Speaker 11: down multiple scores, you ain't running a lot. So I
- 43:12Speaker 11: hope they run it a lot.
- 43:13Speaker 3: Bang good, Yeah, I love it all right. Let's see
- 43:16Speaker 3: hashtag ass the bench. So I might be the stadium
- 43:18Speaker 3: announcer for my school's football games junior high? Who ut
- 43:22Speaker 3: are some good clean sayings I can bust out? And
- 43:26Speaker 3: should I use my old time in nineteen three? Should
- 43:28Speaker 3: use the nineteen should use the nineteen thirties? Voye Taylor,
- 43:30Speaker 3: You've called some games?
- 43:31Speaker 11: Yeah, I do it more on a TV than radio,
- 43:35Speaker 11: But it doesn't matter me. Look whatever saying you find
- 43:38Speaker 11: that works for you like you got to big public school,
- 43:40Speaker 11: private school that matters a little bit as well.
- 43:43Speaker 10: Joe Friday, that one, that one's good. There's some good
- 43:46Speaker 10: ones out there.
- 43:47Speaker 3: At hasstag as bench favorite all time football commentator.
- 43:51Speaker 11: I don't really don't when it stands out. I mean,
- 43:54Speaker 11: here you're too young for like John Madden. But in fact,
- 43:58Speaker 11: everybody talks about Keith Jackson. I mean that's gonna be
- 44:00Speaker 11: one that everybody brings up. I mean I just always
- 44:03Speaker 11: think burn because he called me Dirkson.
- 44:07Speaker 4: Yeah, had a great voice.
- 44:09Speaker 11: I'm always I've always I've always like the combo of
